- 0:00Speaker 1: Our final crypto villain has finally fallen, and today we're
- 0:04Speaker 1: going to break it down for you. Let's get into it.
- 0:06Speaker 1: I want to start off with a picture back in
- 0:09Speaker 1: time of Tim Cook, and we did a video of
- 0:13Speaker 1: the top three villains in crypto for the year three
- 0:17Speaker 1: years ago, and our picks were of course was SBF
- 0:22Speaker 1: Gary Gensler, which we understand why, and then of course
- 0:25Speaker 1: mister Tim Cook. And that is exactly the case. What
- 0:28Speaker 1: we are now hearing though, is that Tim Cook, after
- 0:31Speaker 1: fifteen years of running roughshot over the Apple ecosystem and
- 0:36Speaker 1: innovation and closing down markets and all of the negatives
- 0:40Speaker 1: that have happened with Apple, he is now stepping down
- 0:43Speaker 1: and he's done. This is good because I think I
- 0:47Speaker 1: want to play a clip that will kind of showcase
- 0:50Speaker 1: are disdained with Tim Cook. Take a look the top
- 0:53Speaker 1: three villains in crypto, and these three have really kind
- 0:57Speaker 1: of outlined a special place in two.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Sir, we don't.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We do not retaliate or bully people.
- 1:04Speaker 2: It's strongly against our company culture.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Apple block epic games from the app store after just
- 1:10Speaker 1: a mean tweet. Coinbase says Apple is demanding thirty percent
- 1:13Speaker 1: of its NFT gas fees. This is when they were
- 1:15Speaker 1: going after gas fees. You might have noticed that you
- 1:18Speaker 1: can't send NFTs on coinbase, wall and iOS anymore. This
- 1:22Speaker 1: is because Apple blocked our last app release until we
- 1:25Speaker 1: disabled the feature. This was actually in the court documents.
- 1:28Speaker 1: External websites sound scary, so execs will love that. Ooh,
- 1:32Speaker 1: keep going. So we had to educate the players. We
- 1:34Speaker 1: had there was no direct path to let the players
- 1:37Speaker 1: know about these other options. This is the court injunction
- 1:40Speaker 1: that it thought that this court would tolerate such insubordination.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The cover up made it worse. Cook basically chose poorly
- 1:49Speaker 1: is what the court had ruled. Follow the money. Sixty
- 1:52Speaker 1: seventy percent of Apple's App store revenue comes from gaming. Yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 1: how many companies with animoca right now? From the app
- 1:59Speaker 1: side of the things? Are you guys building within the
- 2:02Speaker 1: Apple ecosystem?
- 2:03Speaker 2: So we have five hundred and seventy two portfolios. But
- 2:05Speaker 2: you know, so let's call it roughly ten percent of
- 2:07Speaker 2: them are doing stuff on the app store, you know,
- 2:09Speaker 2: like the open seas and so I do more of
- 2:11Speaker 2: them want to do in THEPP store? Yes? But you know,
- 2:13Speaker 2: when the rules continue to be traconian, it's kind of
- 2:16Speaker 2: not worth their effort. And a lot more people do
- 2:18Speaker 2: stuff on Google because of the ability to sideload.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Because if you want to sideload, you can buy an
- 2:23Speaker 1: Android phone. What an a hole. And we're invested. We
- 2:28Speaker 1: believe in the country, so investing in Indonesia. But on
- 2:31Speaker 1: America this is continuing to be a problem. Apple has
- 2:35Speaker 1: allegedly flew in multiple planes full of iPhones, so this,
- 2:39Speaker 1: of course is to avoid tariffs. Well, guests, who is
- 2:41Speaker 1: one of the biggest contributors to this lady Right here
- 2:45Speaker 1: googile number one and then there number seven, Apple Inc. Boom,
- 2:49Speaker 1: I predict something. Tim Cook is out. I'm going to
- 2:53Speaker 1: give him one year. One year. Tim Cook is not
- 2:55Speaker 1: a product guy, and that's what they're going to need. Yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 1: Tim probably is watching me through my webcam right there,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and of course now I have to check to see
- 3:04Speaker 1: is Tim watching me through this high Tim by Tim?
- 3:08Speaker 1: That's the main thing that we want to get across
- 3:10Speaker 1: because Cook is stepping down and we got a new
- 3:13Speaker 1: guy coming in, a product guy. Now I'm not totally
- 3:16Speaker 1: sold on this guy, but is at least he's a
- 3:17Speaker 1: product guy. So John Turnas he's going to be confirmed
- 3:20Speaker 1: as the next CEO of Apple. Big article here breaking
- 3:24Speaker 1: it all down. There are some things that I think
- 3:27Speaker 1: you have to address. And when you look at where
- 3:30Speaker 1: Apple because listen, I was an Apple fanboyt for many years,
- 3:34Speaker 1: loved the products. When Jobs had it, it was by
- 3:37Speaker 1: far the best company in the world, best run company.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And he would have never let Apple not be the
- 3:44Speaker 1: innovation leader. They would probably have an Apple bank, NFTs,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you know, you'd have in game tokens, you'd have all
- 3:51Speaker 1: kinds of things under Steve Jobs. That's not and has
- 3:53Speaker 1: not happened yet. Now will turn us go there in
- 3:56Speaker 1: terms of product development? I think because of all the
- 3:59Speaker 1: pressure that they are getting right now worldwide, he might.
- 4:03Speaker 1: It's a very good possibility. This, of course, just kind
- 4:06Speaker 1: of verifies the point that we were talking about. This
- 4:08Speaker 1: was nine months ago we said he's going to get fired,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and that's what pretty much happened right now. And that
- 4:14Speaker 1: is the issue. And I think it's just happening right now.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Here's a couple of notes right here on John Turnus.
- 4:21Speaker 1: He is a quintessential continuity candidate. I don't like that word,
- 4:25Speaker 1: but he is a core product guy and I think
- 4:29Speaker 1: that's good. But can he truly use the word disruption,
- 4:35Speaker 1: because that's what Apple will need to do to regain
- 4:40Speaker 1: I think the polar position of where innovation is going
- 4:45Speaker 1: to happen, and it's listen, you're setting at the literally
- 4:48Speaker 1: at the cornerstone of possibly a complete shift. You've got Ai,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and you've got blockchain and crypto essentially coming down like
- 4:56Speaker 1: a freight train on the biggest tech companies in the world.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Then you've got quantum. All of this is coming in
- 5:01Speaker 1: in one place. This is why Tim is stepping down,
- 5:04Speaker 1: because he knows he can't do it other things. If
- 5:08Speaker 1: you go to Tim, this is another reason that you
- 5:10Speaker 1: know he's out of there. If you go to Tim
- 5:12Speaker 1: Cook with AARB, he just won't pick He'll ask a
- 5:14Speaker 1: series of questions. This is the kind of problem that
- 5:17Speaker 1: finally we are out of there. I wish that maybe
- 5:18Speaker 1: he would retire a little faster than September. That's too long.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I wish you just go now and be done if
- 5:24Speaker 1: you look at it, because we're gonna need it. In
- 5:26Speaker 1: terms of the United States, Apple is still one of
- 5:28Speaker 1: the best companies out there, but just not innovative enough
- 5:31Speaker 1: to make this go forward. Animoka Brands I've had Yatsu
- 5:34Speaker 1: on many times and he mentioned here Hong Kong has
- 5:38Speaker 1: not declined. Instead, it's gathering momentum and they're continuing to
- 5:42Speaker 1: push hard. So what you saw there with Apple was
- 5:45Speaker 1: forcing all that innovation offshore and in fact forcing someone
- 5:48Speaker 1: like an Animoka Brands and yacht sue what they were
- 5:51Speaker 1: trying to do and web through gaming. Man think gaming
- 5:54Speaker 1: gaming would have been so far advanced it had Apple
- 5:57Speaker 1: just opened up to it. But Hong Kong now is
- 6:00Speaker 1: granting stable coin licenses to standard charter. You're also getting
- 6:03Speaker 1: joint ventures with HSBC. Point being innovation is now happening
- 6:07Speaker 1: in Hong Kong and the Pacific Rim, but not happening
- 6:11Speaker 1: here in Silicon Valley, led by the one company that
- 6:14Speaker 1: probably puts Silicon Valley on the map, even more so
- 6:17Speaker 1: than Microsoft. So I think this is a big step
- 6:20Speaker 1: in the right direction. The question is can he pull
- 6:23Speaker 1: it off and will it make a difference in the
- 6:26Speaker 1: near future for Apple. Meanwhile, here in the United States,
- 6:30Speaker 1: you know we're doing really smart things, which is asking
- 6:33Speaker 1: the same old dumb questions. Do you still believe that
- 6:35Speaker 1: digital assets should be incorporated into our financial industry? For
- 6:39Speaker 1: Americans to have new investment opportunities. What is going on?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Why are we not leading the world in innovation? This
- 6:46Speaker 1: is the kind of thing that I get so upset about.
- 6:48Speaker 1: You guys know that. And hopefully this has turned the
- 6:51Speaker 1: leaf to get innovation back in the United States. Hopefully
- 6:54Speaker 1: we'll get some sort of regulation outline that's going to
- 6:57Speaker 1: give us a direction here on the crypto side of things,
- 7:00Speaker 1: and hopefully the United States can become once again the
- 7:04Speaker 1: top power when it comes to tech. If you like
