- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, good afternoon, listeners. Thank you for coming on Lament
- 0:03Speaker 1: of Hope podcast. It's kind of crazy that we're already
- 0:06Speaker 1: in April and just, yeah, already so many interviews done
- 0:11Speaker 1: and just seeing, getting to hear so many different stories.
- 0:15Speaker 1: And recently we've been kind of talking to a lot
- 0:18Speaker 1: of different like survivalists and then talking to a dispatcher.
- 0:23Speaker 2: And yeah, so.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I chose this area because in the 50s, when in
- 0:32Speaker 3: Poland was communism, you've got a lot of people who
- 0:36Speaker 3: wanted to escape from the system. And they escaped to
- 0:42Speaker 3: this area. because there was nobody there. And they learned
- 0:50Speaker 3: how to live in that nature. So, for example, one
- 0:56Speaker 3: of my characters, for example, he lived literally for 30
- 1:02Speaker 3: years in the middle of the forest without any house.
- 1:09Speaker 3: For 30 years. And when I When I talked with him,
- 1:15Speaker 3: he told me a lot of beautiful stories about the
- 1:22Speaker 3: connection between him and the nature. That you have to
- 1:27Speaker 3: have this respect about the nature. Because if you don't
- 1:36Speaker 3: have this respect, the nature can easily kill you. Because
- 1:43Speaker 3: you've got rain, because you've got snow. In Poland at
- 1:48Speaker 3: that time, the winter was really heavy, really heavy. And
- 1:53Speaker 3: this person didn't have.
- 1:57Speaker 2: A house. So it was amazing. And in that time,
- 2:05Speaker 2: when I was thinking about God.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I was thinking, no, in that place, there is no God.
- 2:15Speaker 3: These people, this concrete character of my stories, they don't
- 2:19Speaker 3: believe God, they believe in nature. And I believe nature too.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I hope that nature will survive.
- 2:31Speaker 2: And will.
