A New York state judge has ruled that a woman who alleges she was drugged and raped by students at Cornell University may continue using the name Jane Doe in her lawsuit. Judge Phaedra Perry-Bond said on Friday that the woman’s privacy interests, particularly concerns for her safety, outweighed any need to disclose her identity in court.
