- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to a lily Pad production. This is the
- 0:06Speaker 1: Team Up Play Show podcast.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Previously in the City of Bones. When does it come
- 0:35Speaker 2: around again that I need to check in at Carrie's Candles.
- 0:38Speaker 1: That is also today.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Oh awesome, okay, hello, knock on my chist art there, art.
- 0:48Speaker 1: There, Arthur h You're safe.
- 0:54Speaker 4: You're with age.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We did it. On the way out of the shoot,
- 1:03Speaker 1: you see a woman who stands where the shoot curves
- 1:07Speaker 1: into the ground. She has made a little lean to
- 1:11Speaker 1: a home. Here. She stands naked, all except for a
- 1:17Speaker 1: triangle board, and the triangle board says, prepare the way
- 1:22Speaker 1: for new gods. The old gods are dead. She smiles
- 1:27Speaker 1: at you with a few missing teeth as Hey, the
- 1:30Speaker 1: new gods are coming. Get ready. I haven't seen you
- 1:33Speaker 1: around here. Before you head to your place of employment.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Where do you work?
- 1:38Speaker 2: I think somewhere close to the Little Caribbean, just like
- 1:41Speaker 2: a teeny tiny storefront. I think it's got the address
- 1:44Speaker 2: that has behalf a place that's been like boxed in
- 1:47Speaker 2: inside somewhere else. I don't think with a window, just
- 1:50Speaker 2: the door in on the door is like a neon
- 1:54Speaker 2: sign that says Ronnie's Readings on it. It's like in
- 1:57Speaker 2: purple neon, I flick that on.
- 2:00Speaker 1: What does Ronnie know that she is doing here?
- 2:04Speaker 5: I think when talking with Jill, she realized that it's
- 2:09Speaker 5: like the ritual of people coming to see her and
- 2:12Speaker 5: do this something out of the ordinary, but then also
- 2:16Speaker 5: like becomes repetitive and ordinary to them. And then also exercise,
- 2:20Speaker 5: like the increase in circulation and endorphins released.
- 2:25Speaker 6: And then like intense but almost like leading people to
- 2:29Speaker 6: like meditation and like focusing on just these movements, and
- 2:33Speaker 6: then now that's yeah, she's helping them feel better in
- 2:38Speaker 6: some way emotionally by just doing that.
- 2:51Speaker 1: We begin outside of the tailor's apartment in sass Quanta
- 3:00Speaker 1: has an important appointment tonight in ask at a certain
- 3:05Speaker 1: candle's store.
- 3:13Speaker 2: After hugging my brothers goodbye, I strike up on top
- 3:17Speaker 2: of a building, do a little cartwheel in my new suit,
- 3:22Speaker 2: and all of a sudden feel all of this freedom
- 3:27Speaker 2: that I haven't felt before, knowing that my name is
- 3:30Speaker 2: almost cleared, that I have this new suit, kind of
- 3:35Speaker 2: a new identity, and I want to be seen. So
- 3:40Speaker 2: I run to the edge of the building, jump and
- 3:45Speaker 2: strike to the closest electrical wire and as I jump
- 3:50Speaker 2: and strike and come out of lightning form. I want
- 3:52Speaker 2: to unfurl my scarf and whip it over the electrical
- 3:57Speaker 2: wire like a zipline and hold on with one hand
- 4:00Speaker 2: and then start zip lining around the city.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Awesome, propelled by your own power and infrastructure. Yay, you
- 4:32Speaker 1: zip through the city. You get to Carrie's candles. It's late,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you see. You do a sense and you don't have
- 4:43Speaker 1: to roll. You sense Carrie and some family members in
- 4:48Speaker 1: the top part because they live above. They live above
- 4:52Speaker 1: the store. But you also send someone at the front door.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And as you look, it's not camp. Do I recognize them?
- 5:00Speaker 1: You do?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Not? Would like it to take a closer look more quietly,
- 5:04Speaker 2: get to the top of Carrie's candles and peer down.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Yeah, make a sense check as you look over the
- 5:11Speaker 1: edge of the building. This is an average check. Now,
- 5:15Speaker 1: this is a simple check. I'm rolling a D six
- 5:17Speaker 1: oh five. I rolled a four. All you see is
- 5:23Speaker 1: a woman in a trench coat. She has sunglasses on
- 5:29Speaker 1: at night, and she has a scarf over her head
- 5:35Speaker 1: and tied under her chin, silk scarf. What colors am
- 5:39Speaker 1: I saying? What is she feeling? As you get a
- 5:42Speaker 1: lock in on her emotional state. She's not afraid, she's
- 5:47Speaker 1: not hostile, she's not angry. She is waiting, and she
- 5:52Speaker 1: is hopeful. She knocks again on the door. Right, I
- 5:57Speaker 1: think I'm just gonna stay here and observe for a moment.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You feel like, come on in Carrie's You feel like,
- 6:03Speaker 1: come on in Carrie's apartment. And she walks down the
- 6:06Speaker 1: stairs with one of her candles. Oh that's freaking adorable.
- 6:10Speaker 1: She opens the door. It's ma'am, it's like midnight. Where
- 6:17Speaker 1: it's past midnight. We're so closed. You hear the woman
- 6:21Speaker 1: say I have a proposition for you, and Carrie says, oh, okay,
- 6:29Speaker 1: come on in. Then I'm stay where I am, but
- 6:32Speaker 1: listen in. You probably can't hear them from where you
- 6:35Speaker 1: are here. What as they go inside?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Is there any security system, as I sense in the building,
- 6:42Speaker 2: I'll roll a luck.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Check for Carrie. No security system in Carrie's candles. Is
- 6:46Speaker 1: there a computer that she uses for her transactions?
- 6:51Speaker 7: No?
- 6:51Speaker 1: No, non new babble, All right.
- 6:54Speaker 2: I will I'll just I'll go down to the first floor,
- 6:58Speaker 2: like around the corner and.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Wait, wait until the lady comes out.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Okay, sensing who's in there, sensing their feelings while they're
- 7:05Speaker 2: talking but not listening.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, great, yeah, as you as you sense their feelings,
- 7:11Speaker 1: Carrie goes from being very afraid to very thankful to
- 7:17Speaker 1: very hopeful, and eventually the woman exits and just says
- 7:24Speaker 1: the thing, thank you, I will see you soon.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Wait till she's off the street, and then go to
- 7:32Speaker 2: the front door of Carrie's candles.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You see Carrie get trying to get ready for bed,
- 7:41Speaker 1: just waving in the window. It's me. Oh okay. She
- 7:45Speaker 1: comes and opens the door for you. I got different clothes,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but it's me. Okay, good, good to see you. I
- 7:51Speaker 1: guess I know it's late, it's so late up. Yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I passed midnight. I was waiting. I was waiting to
- 7:58Speaker 1: see if camp was coming so I could help you.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Oh right, thank you. It seems like I won't need
- 8:06Speaker 1: I won't need you anymore.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, why is that? Well, I say, toying with
- 8:11Speaker 2: a candle.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I just made a deal with uh with that lady there?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Oh what what lady? Oh, there's a lady in here,
- 8:22Speaker 1: says her name is Sophia. It sat down the candle.
- 8:25Speaker 1: She says that her candle shop in Sass has gone
- 8:30Speaker 1: out of business. She needs a new uh, a new provider.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I guess. So it's she asked me to do it,
- 8:38Speaker 1: and she said I wouldn't need to worry about Camp
- 8:40Speaker 1: or the Irish anymore. Well, congratulations on your business deal. Yeah, thanks,
- 8:49Speaker 1: it's really gonna help. But thanks for checking in.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm here to help. Yeah, have a good night. Okay,
- 9:01Speaker 2: good luck, sweetie, thank you. I'm going to bed.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:07Speaker 2: She trendles up the stairs. Are you gonna lock the Okay,
- 9:11Speaker 2: I go out the front door.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean she locks the door. Mob's got it.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Yeah, the Russian mob needs its candles.
- 9:23Speaker 3: The more I hear about the Russian Mob, the more
- 9:25Speaker 3: I'm in the devil you kind of know.
- 9:33Speaker 2: So maybe Sophia is taking advantage of the fighting. Well,
- 9:38Speaker 2: just just camp work for the Irish mob, because Carrie
- 9:42Speaker 2: said I wouldn't have to worry about the Irish or Camp.
- 9:45Speaker 1: What about the Yakuza? As you are having these thoughts,
- 9:49Speaker 1: you come out of them, walking down the sidewalk in
- 9:52Speaker 1: front door. Walking down the sidewalk, you hear a voice
- 9:56Speaker 1: from an alley. Are you follow me? A hero?
- 10:01Speaker 2: I hold my fists out as if I punch anything ever, No,
- 10:07Speaker 2: not you specifically.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Well, what can I how can I be of service
- 10:14Speaker 1: to me? She shrugs. If you're not following me, why
- 10:19Speaker 1: why do I see you here? I was checking on someone, Ah, Carrie, Well,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'm glad someone's looking out. Why are you looking out me?
- 10:32Speaker 1: I just need candles for my brothels? Why her the
- 10:39Speaker 1: friend of the family cool? The Irish have lost their
- 10:44Speaker 1: cool up here. Yeah, I've made it quite hot, if
- 10:48Speaker 1: you will, and so good a time as any makes sense.
- 10:54Speaker 2: You know, Counta tries to stand up a little bit straighter.
- 11:00Speaker 2: My friends and I are looking out for the people
- 11:02Speaker 2: of this city now, so it seems like you might
- 11:08Speaker 2: be too. But if you're ever not, we're watching.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It's good to know I can be a powerful ally
- 11:24Speaker 1: and an even more powerful enemy.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I think I could too, She smiles. I like you,
- 11:37Speaker 2: kind of like you too, and that's awesome.
- 11:40Speaker 1: It's my civilian clothes.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Well, i've seen what you've I've seen you around.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I mean I don't go out much. It's not safe. Well,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you could do this for me if you see come
- 12:00Speaker 1: upon sex work not under the name Sophia. Let me
- 12:07Speaker 1: know that is my domain in the city. One of them.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I mean, Sophia. There's there's times it is all under
- 12:18Speaker 1: my protection? Are real? Yes?
- 12:21Speaker 2: All the sex butlers should be Wow, damn I'm you
- 12:26Speaker 2: know I'm not. I'm not your messenger girl, so oh,
- 12:31Speaker 2: I just I'm not. Tell everybody thought you want to
- 12:38Speaker 2: help the people of this city, you wouldn't find the
- 12:42Speaker 2: abuse of sex workers to be in the help of
- 12:47Speaker 2: the people of this city. Well, of course I would.
- 12:50Speaker 1: But well let me know. I will help you, you
- 12:54Speaker 1: will help me. We'll see very well. I have a
- 12:59Speaker 1: long walk home. I don't you strike off into the
- 13:06Speaker 1: sick man. So much networking happens in alleys, so much
- 13:11Speaker 1: networking at night. You just got to walk around and
- 13:13Speaker 1: wait for what do we need business cards? Guys?
- 13:16Speaker 8: This is what happens when you touch grass. You just
- 13:18Speaker 8: meet ali homies. Go outside. Kids.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I don't think we should advise because you walk down
- 13:26Speaker 3: to Alley's, but you should touch grass.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't touch grass. Yeah, I know.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Underage drinking. We've done that some in this podcast, and
- 13:35Speaker 2: none of that either. Touch grass, don't go down alleys.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Who's underage drinking? Uh, Jimmy, your sister. That's the biggest
- 13:44Speaker 1: crime that we've done. She's eighteen. Murder, Yeah, yeah, yeah, anyway.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yeah, should we should we pause for an extremely long
- 13:54Speaker 4: ps a about what not to kids.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Don't drink, stay in school. Murder is fine, Your electrical
- 14:03Speaker 1: wires is not a good idea. Where are you going tonight, Jason?
- 14:07Speaker 3: So I think first I just start walking instinctively back
- 14:11Speaker 3: towards the library, and then stop. And then I think
- 14:15Speaker 3: I should probably go and keep an eye on Page,
- 14:19Speaker 3: and I pull out the tailor's gun that I have.
- 14:25Speaker 3: But then I hear a voice from within, Jason, how
- 14:30Speaker 3: do you have a gun for protection? Because we don't
- 14:33Speaker 3: have any powers right now. Okay, you gotta do something.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Can just leave Page alone? I know, I know, but
- 14:38Speaker 3: we've got to figure this thing out. Okay, Okay, can't
- 14:42Speaker 3: go to the library. If we stay with Page, she's gonna
- 14:48Speaker 3: notice us running around. Here's a city question, Johnny. What's
- 14:56Speaker 3: the over under of there being an abandoned newspaper?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Probably pretty good, probably pretty good chance.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Yeah, the defunct Babbler or something new babbel Babbler. Uh yeah,
- 15:09Speaker 3: I want to go to like an old I want
- 15:11Speaker 3: somewhere with lots of paper, somewhere that's like an abandoned
- 15:13Speaker 3: newspaper place. Uh, to maybe do some some conversation with Arthur,
- 15:21Speaker 3: some some training stuff when we get to that.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so just gotten that out. Let's say that there
- 15:27Speaker 1: is a publishing company that no longer publishes books, like
- 15:31Speaker 1: a printer, a printer and publisher that no longer is working.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It was like when they built New Babbel, they wanted
- 15:40Speaker 1: it to be able to be the center of culture
- 15:45Speaker 1: in America and the world, and so they put everything here,
- 15:49Speaker 1: including a publishing, a printing, printing and publishing company that
- 15:54Speaker 1: is no longer working. The Prince of Prince, the Prince
- 15:58Speaker 1: of Prince. That's affect. You're welcome. Yeah, so I guess
- 16:04Speaker 1: I want to head there. Peep. Yeah, it's all peep.
- 16:07Speaker 1: It's peep peepee coated.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's peepe all the way down for me. There's
- 16:12Speaker 3: a theme here. The theme is peepee.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Uh.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yeah, so I guess i'll If it's nearby, I would
- 16:18Speaker 3: like to potentially head head towards Prince the Prince of Prince.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Yeah, sure sounds great. It is on. It would also
- 16:27Speaker 1: be in ask where you live, so it's not too far.
- 16:30Speaker 1: You got to walk north quite a ways, but you
- 16:33Speaker 1: would go there anyway to be with Page or to
- 16:35Speaker 1: be at the library.
- 16:37Speaker 3: So okay, cool, Yeah, I'll just head there walking kind
- 16:41Speaker 3: of sticking to the shadows, take a train or bus.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I'm wearing full.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Spellbook outfit at this point, so probably just creeping around.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Alley's.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Look.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Yeah, any Alley homies, any Alley homies on the way,
- 16:56Speaker 1: No Alley homies for you, weird? Jamiir, are you just
- 17:02Speaker 1: going home or you doing anything in your new suit?
- 17:05Speaker 8: Jamiir is definitely gonna fly around the city with my
- 17:10Speaker 8: new suit on. Jamir hasn't been feeling very super lately.
- 17:15Speaker 8: I got my booty dog walked a couple times. But
- 17:21Speaker 8: now I have new threads on, bold, new colors. I'm
- 17:25Speaker 8: not wearing cobble together shit, and I'm feeling like a
- 17:30Speaker 8: real hero. So Jamiir is gonna step off the roof,
- 17:54Speaker 8: let myself fall. I'm going a flight star halfway down
- 17:59Speaker 8: the building, zoom kind of low, just above the cars,
- 18:03Speaker 8: and then lean up flying over the rooftops. Maybe you know,
- 18:10Speaker 8: on the off chance I hear a scream, I would intervene,
- 18:14Speaker 8: but I mostly just wanted to be seen as a
- 18:18Speaker 8: hero around town. And my plan is to eventually go
- 18:22Speaker 8: to the shoot and sleep back at my parents' house.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Tonight sounds good. We are going to head into a
- 18:59Speaker 1: time of downtime.
- 19:01Speaker 3: You guys here we are big Bingus downtime, big Bengus
- 19:07Speaker 3: all day.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Is that a thing that a big bank? Yeah, I
- 19:18Speaker 1: think that's just a me thing. It's not a new babylism.
- 19:23Speaker 1: It's just I'd like to say big. As you all
- 19:29Speaker 1: start to think about these numbers, listen to the state
- 19:32Speaker 1: of the city and what this is some just some
- 19:36Speaker 1: blanket stuff that happens during this week of downtime that
- 19:41Speaker 1: I don't want to get bogged down with. As we're
- 19:43Speaker 1: doing downtime, the city begins to try to heal from
- 19:48Speaker 1: the attacks of the Flog Gang. You learn that they
- 19:52Speaker 1: attacked all of the quadrants of the city, not just
- 19:57Speaker 1: the places that you were able to defend. However, due
- 20:01Speaker 1: to their defeat at the Battle of the pen Dragon Library,
- 20:05Speaker 1: they have gone silent. A new Babbel begins to rebuild.
- 20:10Speaker 1: The news cycle is full of the destruction and the
- 20:12Speaker 1: burning of the pen Dragon Library. It is a historical
- 20:17Speaker 1: landmark of the city, and the general idea around it
- 20:23Speaker 1: is that people are sad that it was destroyed. Henry
- 20:26Speaker 1: hilland the guy who is running for mayor against Cordula
- 20:31Speaker 1: is seeking the proprietor of the library and promises to rebuild.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Henry and Cordula Soma are in the news quite a bit.
- 20:41Speaker 1: New Babel News the TV circuit highlights Henry's philanthropy and
- 20:46Speaker 1: Cordula's criminal history. They also start including the slander of
- 20:51Speaker 1: her son called the Soma Prince. He is the head
- 20:56Speaker 1: of her security detail and they kind of throw him
- 20:59Speaker 1: around as a though a bruiser. The Tower and more.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Factual radio news sources highlight Cordula's servants' hands and generosity,
- 21:08Speaker 1: and pictures of her son are printed that show him
- 21:11Speaker 1: helping along with his mother. He seems jolly as he
- 21:15Speaker 1: gives to people in need. All of the news outlets
- 21:18Speaker 1: are worried about what it would mean for the people
- 21:21Speaker 1: of New Babbel if they followed Henry's radical idea of
- 21:25Speaker 1: rejoining America. The candidates have agreed to a televised debate
- 21:30Speaker 1: at the end of this coming week. In the news,
- 21:34Speaker 1: there are also stories of the god come back to
- 21:37Speaker 1: life in Veronica Cantor Dason. The truth has been told
- 21:41Speaker 1: and she has been acquitted. There are those who believe
- 21:44Speaker 1: her innocence, there are those who don't, but most don't
- 21:48Speaker 1: care about the elite's mistakes on the northwest side of town.
- 21:52Speaker 1: And then the news is full of the talk of heroes,
- 21:57Speaker 1: Rumors of old heroes return in bright blade and everwing,
- 22:02Speaker 1: stories of wonder and eyewitnesses saved by new knights who
- 22:07Speaker 1: defend them against monsters made by men and men who
- 22:11Speaker 1: have turned monster. This is the state of your city.
- 22:18Speaker 1: We are going to enter downtime. Go and choose your numbers.
- 22:24Speaker 1: There is a chance here for all of you to
- 22:26Speaker 1: level up depending on the events that take place, So
- 22:32Speaker 1: take that into account as you choose your downtime numbers.
- 22:39Speaker 9: Diggity damn, what a tease. What a tease.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna kind of let the narrative we create decide
- 22:48Speaker 1: when those times are. I don't necessarily have them in mind,
- 22:52Speaker 1: but based on what your characters are doing. I have
- 22:55Speaker 1: some thoughts, but let's just go with the flow. Oh man,
- 23:00Speaker 1: the ghost, Let's ride the creamy wave. Let's ride the light.
- 23:06Speaker 2: If you want to know what that creamy wave is
- 23:08Speaker 2: all about, head on over the chat cave.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. You the creamy wave is a chat
- 23:18Speaker 1: cave bit. I'm so sorry, listeners, how dare we? You
- 23:21Speaker 1: don't deserve that, You deserve better, You deserve the best,
- 23:26Speaker 1: You deserve my best. Oh, this is tough. Before it
- 23:29Speaker 1: was so easy, I could just be like zero unmasked. Yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 1: now you got your life back. Now I have my
- 23:34Speaker 1: life back. You're going to be like one. Just just
- 23:40Speaker 1: dip in my toe back into my life in the
- 23:42Speaker 1: next two or three episodes when you get to level up. Huh.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I also want to go choose what you're taking at
- 23:47Speaker 1: that level level three because it's kind of a fun
- 23:50Speaker 1: level up. Yeah, and then bring that into the narrative,
- 23:55Speaker 1: so you'll tell me what you're taking. Love that and
- 23:58Speaker 1: then will make it make sense. Yeah, you know, like
- 24:01Speaker 1: Iron Man's building his suit and he gets the thing
- 24:04Speaker 1: to you know, beat Captain America or whatever.
- 24:07Speaker 8: The Captain America Coast or whatever. The self wiping feature
- 24:11Speaker 8: on the suit.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Auto wipe engage, thanks Jarvis.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Built in bedet. More like the day day. Is there
- 24:24Speaker 1: anything there? Guys? When you ask is there anything there?
- 24:30Speaker 1: I think that answers the question.
- 24:33Speaker 8: There's not That means there's not nothing.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Thank you, Ben. All right, let's begin with rest, paper phantom.
- 24:42Speaker 1: What do you give to this is my most exciting number.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Zero no sleep for the paper phantom.
- 24:50Speaker 8: The rest of the money don't grow paper paper is made.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's better than money don't grow on knees, which
- 25:01Speaker 1: is what I said, Ben, What did you are, Jamiir?
- 25:08Speaker 1: What did you give to rest? I gave a fat
- 25:11Speaker 1: four to Ooh makes sense, all right, go ahead and
- 25:14Speaker 1: roll those numbers for us.
- 25:15Speaker 8: Yes, I roll my resilience die four times yes, hell yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 8: six two seven, three eighteen nice eighteen pless nice seven.
- 25:32Speaker 8: It means I'm almost back to full. And then I
- 25:36Speaker 8: roll my strength die for my EPs, Yes, sir, all right,
- 25:40Speaker 8: I'm back up to full on my EPs everywhere. Nice,
- 25:44Speaker 8: all right, Yeah, Jamiir's Jamiir's. I'm spending a lot of
- 25:47Speaker 8: time at home with the fam. I'm sleeping in at
- 25:51Speaker 8: the manor. I'm resting up. I'm not burning both ends
- 25:57Speaker 8: of the candle. Jamir came close to death twice, and
- 26:03Speaker 8: so he's let his body heal over this period of time.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Quanta Ronnie gave one one yes because I took Ethan's
- 26:13Speaker 2: suggestion and took my full support pool, which is only
- 26:16Speaker 2: three from control electricity.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I am.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I have my full epiece, so I'm just gonna roll
- 26:22Speaker 2: resilience for great HP and nearly full but not quite.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I'm at fifteen out of sixteen. Now, very nice, and
- 26:30Speaker 2: your sport pool comes back.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Arrested. Nice hack hack hack of the game. Did we
- 26:36Speaker 1: break it? Don't tell john did we break this game?
- 26:38Speaker 1: We made?
- 26:39Speaker 3: No try the new mac hack. Shut up, nobody, nobody
- 26:43Speaker 3: tell Johnny. Nobody at Johnny in the commons.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah, so yea.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Quanta's just she had help, she got stitched up, so
- 26:50Speaker 2: she's just making sure she's cleaning her wounds given given
- 26:53Speaker 2: her body a little extra healing juice with controlling the
- 26:58Speaker 2: electricity in her own body and that veneum repair.
- 27:01Speaker 1: All right, let's jump to training. We'll start with you,
- 27:05Speaker 1: Jason four. Take them off, big training, motherfucker.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Wah wah.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Another check choot is how boats go? Yeah? One time
- 27:25Speaker 1: checking chuck it choke a choga womp.
- 27:29Speaker 3: What are you doing so big train, big old shoot
- 27:33Speaker 3: you train here. I'm not interested in getting pips. I
- 27:36Speaker 3: don't need no pips, don't want them, don't need them,
- 27:39Speaker 3: don't want them. I don't need no pips. But what
- 27:43Speaker 3: I do want is to branch a new power here.
- 27:49Speaker 3: I want to use all I want to use.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Three of these four trains to just fully get a
- 27:53Speaker 1: new power. Great, but before you tell us what it is,
- 27:56Speaker 1: let's go into let's let's do the scene here, like,
- 27:59Speaker 1: let's do the week, like what are you doing? How
- 28:02Speaker 1: are you training? Are you meditating with art? Like? What
- 28:05Speaker 1: are you what are you doing here? Yeah?
- 28:06Speaker 3: I think the first thing, cause right now my power
- 28:08Speaker 3: is blocked. Correct, since since Arthur and I have to
- 28:12Speaker 3: negotiate a new deal, the source of my power has
- 28:15Speaker 3: been is tied to the deal I make with the
- 28:18Speaker 3: being in the book. So Arthur and I are gonna
- 28:22Speaker 3: sit down in the Prince of Prince and fucking get
- 28:27Speaker 3: after it. So Jason has taken off the spell book clothes.
- 28:32Speaker 3: He's just kind of in a street clothes trying to
- 28:34Speaker 3: move paper, and after a while some of it crumples
- 28:39Speaker 3: up into the face of Arthur.
- 28:43Speaker 1: You gotta you can't do that, not without me.
- 28:47Speaker 3: I'm always here now, Jesus Christ, are you gonna be
- 28:50Speaker 3: here when I use the bathroom? Come on, man, you
- 28:52Speaker 3: want your powers, you gotta figure it out. Okay, Okay, fine,
- 28:58Speaker 3: you want to make a deal. Let's make a deal,
- 29:00Speaker 3: let's talk. I still want to fight against bad people.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Is that okay? Is that allowed? M? I guess maybe
- 29:10Speaker 3: it depends. It seems risky dangerous. Yeah, it's gonna be
- 29:14Speaker 3: risky and dangerous. That's that's Look. I know where you're
- 29:20Speaker 3: going with this. M. No killing, Jason, Okay, we can.
- 29:29Speaker 3: We can deal with that. I will agree. I will
- 29:32Speaker 3: concede that term.
- 29:33Speaker 1: No killing.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Okay, what else do you want? If you're going to
- 29:37Speaker 3: take risks, they need to be calculated. You need to think,
- 29:43Speaker 3: use your brain. Oh I'm so bad at that.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I don't know. You spend all that time reading in
- 29:49Speaker 1: the library. You're smart, You're just not a people person. Okay, but.
- 29:57Speaker 3: You could think of a plan and then do it right. Okay,
- 30:02Speaker 3: No rushing headfirst into danger. Think ahead, deal, no killing,
- 30:07Speaker 3: think ahead. We can do that. We can do that.
- 30:10Speaker 3: That's at it. One more thing. You can't tell Page
- 30:18Speaker 3: what Arthur?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Look?
- 30:20Speaker 3: I know you want to protect her, but that's crazy. Okay,
- 30:22Speaker 3: she's so much smarter than us. She's gonna figure it out. Dude,
- 30:26Speaker 3: If she doesn't already, wouldn't it be safe for just
- 30:31Speaker 3: to tell her and then she could protect herself. Like
- 30:33Speaker 3: it feels like a really antiquated, weird way of approaching
- 30:35Speaker 3: the situation. Look, my family was torn apart by magic
- 30:40Speaker 3: and fighting against evil. It's dangerous and I want to
- 30:46Speaker 3: keep her out of it. This is what I have
- 30:47Speaker 3: to do. Then, this is what I have to do. Jason, No,
- 30:53Speaker 3: killing have a plan, and I won't tell Paige.
- 30:59Speaker 1: You've got yourself, motherfucking do you?
- 31:02Speaker 3: The paper of the of of Princess Prince off of
- 31:07Speaker 3: one of the giant rollers forms into a hand and
- 31:10Speaker 3: Jason shakes it and the papers and shrouds me once again.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Hell yeah, as the paper covers you, do you go
- 31:32Speaker 1: back to your old Look here, I know you're waiting
- 31:34Speaker 1: on something from the tailor, but what does it look like?
- 31:39Speaker 1: I think for right now, we're just gonna go mummy.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Ropes like full just just cover me up head to
- 31:46Speaker 3: toe and paper kind of like a white silhouette.
- 31:49Speaker 1: This is training, training outfit.
- 31:52Speaker 3: It's the equivalent of wearing, you know, yoga pants, but
- 31:55Speaker 3: made a paper.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Yeah you you form yourself a paper dangerous? I ripped him?
- 32:05Speaker 1: Uh you just sort of yeah, mummy wraps for right now? Yeah,
- 32:09Speaker 1: you you form yourself a paper chrysalis, and we will
- 32:12Speaker 1: see who the new Jason becomes.
- 32:44Speaker 3: A butterfly. Do you want to know about the branch
- 32:51Speaker 3: that I'm thinking here? You want to kind of circle back?
- 32:53Speaker 1: No, like, let's keep going a so you you come
- 32:56Speaker 1: to this space with Arthur where you can start a
- 33:00Speaker 1: But then as you this is this takes place during
- 33:03Speaker 1: the whole week. If we do some other thread chasing
- 33:06Speaker 1: and such, you still might not have access to your powers,
- 33:10Speaker 1: depending on how the other threads go and stuff. Sure,
- 33:14Speaker 1: but as you and Arthur come to a place of agreement,
- 33:17Speaker 1: you wrap yourself in this paper. The mechanically you're training
- 33:23Speaker 1: numbers here give you the opportunity to just straight out
- 33:27Speaker 1: pass on some branching power roles or get pips. You're
- 33:32Speaker 1: choosing the branching power roles. As you cover yourself in paper,
- 33:36Speaker 1: and you have harmony and this deal new deal made
- 33:41Speaker 1: with Arthur. What are you seeking here in this printing press.
- 33:45Speaker 3: So having experienced the power of the memory of being spellbook,
- 33:52Speaker 3: having access to his cloak, having Arthur be the wielder
- 33:57Speaker 3: of the staff of creation, I think all the paper
- 34:00Speaker 3: that's in this space, I just want to get to
- 34:02Speaker 3: know it understand it, and then with Arthur's help, I
- 34:05Speaker 3: want to create paper no more. I will never ask
- 34:10Speaker 3: you again how much papers in this room, because that'll
- 34:14Speaker 3: just come out of a book.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Oh that's awesome, big. You and Arthur start to talk
- 34:20Speaker 1: about this. He I think even for this. You go
- 34:24Speaker 1: and you find the staff. You sneak into the library
- 34:28Speaker 1: that's all burnt up. The staff was broken. It was
- 34:32Speaker 1: it was found broken next to Arthur where he died.
- 34:35Speaker 1: You bring this staff back to this new home you're making,
- 34:39Speaker 1: and Arthur breaks down some of the magic in it
- 34:43Speaker 1: for you, tells you some phrases that might help magically.
- 34:49Speaker 1: As the two of you think about creation, magic and
- 34:54Speaker 1: the moment where paper comes out of you and you
- 34:57Speaker 1: create it, what does it look like? What happens? Yeah?
- 35:00Speaker 3: I hold my hand to like one of the large
- 35:03Speaker 3: paper rolls that's in this room. I feel the words
- 35:08Speaker 3: that are written there, and just like as I utter
- 35:12Speaker 3: words and wave my hand like a like a Xerox machine,
- 35:16Speaker 3: just new and a copy of the paper will basically
- 35:21Speaker 3: like a print out of my chest and I rip
- 35:25Speaker 3: it off. Hell yeah, and.
- 35:28Speaker 1: The paper phantom levels up?
- 35:33Speaker 5: Nice?
- 35:35Speaker 1: What are you taking at level three?
- 35:38Speaker 3: I think because I have the poopiest strength and I
- 35:43Speaker 3: burn through energy like crazy. Because I'm a mad lad.
- 35:47Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna take flow. It allows me to
- 35:51Speaker 3: siphon energy from other creatures into myself or other people too.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I can just move.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Energy around, which I think would be super handy. Plus
- 36:00Speaker 3: I've got swirling tides, so there's good mechanical synergy.
- 36:06Speaker 1: So that's what I That's what I want.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I want to be able to kind of like what
- 36:09Speaker 3: I'm thinking is, you know, copying paper, taking Like I've
- 36:12Speaker 3: always thought of paper as a physical manifestation of the
- 36:16Speaker 3: amount of energy I have. So if I take energy
- 36:19Speaker 3: from someone else, it just like creates more paper.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Now awesome, very cool paper vampire. M hm. So those
- 36:27Speaker 1: are three of the four points you've given here to
- 36:31Speaker 1: create paper. You have one more. You gave four. You
- 36:35Speaker 1: could either get a pip or you have one more
- 36:38Speaker 1: success on becoming paper that you haven't hit yet.
- 36:44Speaker 3: I'm gonna stick that point. I'll be smart, and I'm
- 36:46Speaker 3: just going to finish out my branch on becoming one
- 36:49Speaker 3: with papers. The name of that branch sounds good. So
- 36:52Speaker 3: now I can make paper and be paper.
- 36:55Speaker 1: That's so cool. You're the self made paper cloud lad
- 37:00Speaker 1: exciting training from the paper phantom. Jamiir training for you.
- 37:05Speaker 8: For the first time. I think in this game, Jamir's
- 37:08Speaker 8: going zero for training, zero in training. These numbers are crazy.
- 37:15Speaker 1: You guys are crazy, very crazy. All rest, no train,
- 37:21Speaker 1: take the bus, bish and Quanta training also zero wow
- 37:33Speaker 1: zero for training. Oh crazy, very crazy. All right, let's
- 37:37Speaker 1: jump to Patrol. We'll go the other way around the
- 37:39Speaker 1: table because Ethan got a big one for training. Quanta Patrol.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I gave four to patrol. Wow, four to Patrol. I'm
- 37:47Speaker 1: feeling cute.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I want to be seen around this city and you know,
- 37:51Speaker 2: also making sure everyone's okay, and you know that the
- 37:55Speaker 2: mob war isn't you know, tearing lives apart, but also
- 37:58Speaker 2: feeling really cute.
- 38:02Speaker 1: So Quanta, you want to be seen in your new fit.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Anything else you're trying to accomplish with the patrol, anything
- 38:08Speaker 1: else you're trying to gather.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I think like having encountered Sophia the other night,
- 38:14Speaker 2: trying to see like is the check around the city,
- 38:17Speaker 2: Like is the flog activity just gone? How is she
- 38:22Speaker 2: or the yakuza taking advantage of that trying to locate
- 38:25Speaker 2: camp as I'm like going about and then also you know,
- 38:29Speaker 2: just helping people, stopping little crimes along the way. Yeah,
- 38:34Speaker 2: as I witnessed them, you know, getting a cat out
- 38:37Speaker 2: of a tree.
- 38:38Speaker 1: With a four, you get a lot of information. You
- 38:41Speaker 1: just trd doing broad sweep, You get noticed, you get seen.
- 38:45Speaker 1: There's a lot of like, is this a new hero
- 38:48Speaker 1: or not. I just think it's Quanta kind of stuff.
- 38:51Speaker 2: I wish Taylor could get some publicity for this, but
- 38:55Speaker 2: they'd probably get kidnapped, but they'd like that.
- 39:00Speaker 1: The Irish have gone very quiet. You aren't seeing them anywhere.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Camp part of the flog is also not making his
- 39:08Speaker 1: rounds anymore. On the north side. You also get word
- 39:12Speaker 1: as you zip throughout the city, just trying to get
- 39:15Speaker 1: the lay of the land, that a family meeting of
- 39:18Speaker 1: the four crime lords has been called. I'll ask for
- 39:22Speaker 1: an investigation check to see if you can get time
- 39:26Speaker 1: and place plus your scam scan. This is a challenging check.
- 39:31Speaker 1: So D ten, Okay, it's possible. Six. I rolled a three. Wow,
- 39:39Speaker 1: I said four crime lords. There are five. My mistake.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Cordulla being one of them, has called the family meeting.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Oh and they normally meet in the station which is
- 39:50Speaker 1: central the station Friday night, seven pm, you know.
- 39:55Speaker 2: And then just kissing babies, helping, helping some butody restart
- 40:00Speaker 2: their their frank. Yeah, charging charging dead batteries in cars.
- 40:07Speaker 9: Good glory check, good hero work eight eight good glory
- 40:14Speaker 9: yeah eight out of ten.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just rolling average. I wrote a four. Quanta's
- 40:20Speaker 1: name begins to spread throughout the city, cackling across it
- 40:24Speaker 1: like the lightning that you are as your new suit brings.
- 40:29Speaker 1: What do you think that brings you? You talked about like
- 40:33Speaker 1: the confidence and the freedom, But what else do you think?
- 40:36Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 40:37Speaker 2: It brings like credibility because she's looking more official. Yeah,
- 40:41Speaker 2: like she dressed up for the job rather than dressed
- 40:44Speaker 2: up to Rob Carrie's scandals.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Yeah, which she did.
- 40:48Speaker 10: Do to be clear, just a little with fact glory check,
- 40:55Speaker 10: Quanta becomes a beloved hero of the city.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Wow, and her candle collection is growing. Carrie is going
- 41:07Speaker 1: to call the police. Jamir, what'd you give to patrol?
- 41:12Speaker 1: Jamir gave a one to patrol? Sounds good? What are
- 41:15Speaker 1: you trying to do?
- 41:17Speaker 8: Jamir just just wants to be a felt presence in
- 41:22Speaker 8: the shoot still as well as I also want to
- 41:27Speaker 8: be patrolling near the Mayor's office, and I want my
- 41:33Speaker 8: presence felt there as.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Well, Jamir. You patrol the shoot, you patrol around the
- 41:39Speaker 1: Mayor's office, helping more localized. You pick up on a
- 41:45Speaker 1: police officer's radio as you're in Kono. It's late on
- 41:50Speaker 1: one of these evenings, Jamir, As you're patrolling in Kono,
- 41:53Speaker 1: you hear through a police radio in one of the
- 41:57Speaker 1: cop cars requesting backup. Coso Community Center. Firefight is broken
- 42:04Speaker 1: out as many as you can send. Yeah.
- 42:07Speaker 8: If I hear this, I'm just gonna immediately high tail
- 42:11Speaker 8: it over to Colorado South. You high tails to Colorado South.
- 42:15Speaker 8: You've been to the Coso Community Center. Taylor lived close,
- 42:19Speaker 8: and that's you know where you guys would read comics,
- 42:22Speaker 8: play games, play board games, play card games, trade.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Most embarrassing boner stories, most embarrassing boner stories. Oh, we're
- 42:30Speaker 1: referencing the check games so much.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Yeah you can if you want to hear Johnny's most
- 42:34Speaker 3: embarrassing boner that's thee.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's for sure. Now, Ben, I was thinking we
- 42:42Speaker 1: need to come up with a magic the Gathering Slash
- 42:45Speaker 1: Pokemon Slash Yugio card game. You guys played and you
- 42:49Speaker 1: go up. I love that Levia thin. That's all I got.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Following the threat, Would would there be you know, like
- 42:59Speaker 2: colors like board games and stuff that are like World
- 43:03Speaker 2: War One or World War two code?
- 43:05Speaker 1: Would there be like Evo Wars.
- 43:08Speaker 8: It's gathered a lot of video games that Memo Wars,
- 43:12Speaker 8: that's for sure also, But I'm assuming this world hasn't
- 43:17Speaker 8: made it past like nineties era video game tech.
- 43:21Speaker 1: No.
- 43:21Speaker 3: No, there's also the word babbel is there, which sounds
- 43:24Speaker 3: like battles So you've got like babbel bots or something
- 43:27Speaker 3: like babbleship babbleship battleship bots.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's great. It's where you guys would trade cars
- 43:33Speaker 1: or play trading. Sure. Sure, But as you get there,
- 43:36Speaker 1: you see that the police have made a line and
- 43:41Speaker 1: have have been trading fire with members of the community
- 43:46Speaker 1: in the community center. It looked like there was some
- 43:49Speaker 1: sort of outdoor gathering happening. There are streamers and little flags.
- 43:58Speaker 1: It's like some sort of party. There's a cake that
- 44:02Speaker 1: has now been shredded with bullets. The fight, the fighting
- 44:06Speaker 1: is still going on. The members of the community have
- 44:09Speaker 1: pulled out their own guns, flipped over tables, park benches,
- 44:14Speaker 1: park tables or what am I thinking of picnic tables?
- 44:19Speaker 1: Thank you? Flip those over and have started firing back.
- 44:23Speaker 1: What is Jimmyir doing?
- 44:25Speaker 8: Jamir is just gonna try to just kind of do
- 44:28Speaker 8: some shock in awe to just kind of, uh stop,
- 44:33Speaker 8: whatever the fuck's happening with this hailstorm of bullets in
- 44:37Speaker 8: the middle. Is this nighttime or day? This middle of
- 44:40Speaker 8: the day with there's a party, No, it's it's it's evening.
- 44:43Speaker 8: It's it's sorry. No, you're okay, near evening, near evening, Nightcake.
- 44:49Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm the hero. Nightcake.
- 44:53Speaker 8: Rigel is just gonna fly in the middle, blazing bright,
- 44:57Speaker 8: and I'm just gonna kind of shoot down some energy blasts,
- 45:02Speaker 8: just kind of hitting the ground. Just try and with
- 45:05Speaker 8: my magic blast cause enough of a seat in some
- 45:09Speaker 8: shock to kind of get people at least to pause.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead and make a coax check here with
- 45:16Speaker 1: your power. Great a coax. This is a difficult check.
- 45:20Speaker 1: I'm rolling a D twelve coax is a DC. My
- 45:24Speaker 1: magic blasts are also such eight at lit to five.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I'm rolling bad tonight. The wait will take it. Yeah,
- 45:32Speaker 1: we like that you come in the middle of this firefight,
- 45:34Speaker 1: blast into the ground. You carve up a little bit
- 45:38Speaker 1: of concrete and a little bit of earth. What do
- 45:40Speaker 1: you say? Guns down? Everybody? The guns stop. All the
- 45:46Speaker 1: police officers look to a single figure. He steps forward
- 45:51Speaker 1: and addresses you. Who are you to tell us what
- 45:54Speaker 1: to do? Rachel turns to him.
- 46:20Speaker 8: I step off my flight star, and I summon another
- 46:24Speaker 8: one one foot lower, and then I do it again,
- 46:28Speaker 8: creating a stairway of stars as I descend, doortive slowly,
- 46:35Speaker 8: and I say, I'm Richel, the right foot of the
- 46:40Speaker 8: Great Hunter, the protector of New Babbel, and I could
- 46:47Speaker 8: break you in half?
- 46:49Speaker 1: What's going on here? Me and my men are stopping
- 46:54Speaker 1: unlawful activity, as is our right and our job. Speaking
- 46:59Speaker 1: of unlawful you're under rest too, Guns.
- 47:03Speaker 8: Up, boys, Rachel just shakes his head and says, gentlemen,
- 47:09Speaker 8: I wouldn't recommend obeying that order.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Make another KOX check. You will make this check against
- 47:16Speaker 1: thunderfist Ron, all right? Still with my power?
- 47:23Speaker 4: No?
- 47:23Speaker 1: Yeah, does thunderfist Ron do porn?
- 47:28Speaker 11: Oh?
- 47:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I got a six nice thunderfist Ron. G name
- 47:36Speaker 1: it birth. Somehow doubt that's a given.
- 47:42Speaker 3: First name thunderfist last name ron, first name thunder fist.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Last name Ron right, Joe. Go ahead and make a
- 47:51Speaker 1: knowledge check as well. Keep that six in your brain, Okay,
- 47:54Speaker 1: So make a knowledge check for Thunderfist ron. I got
- 47:58Speaker 1: a D ten five five, I'm rolling for that. I'm
- 48:03Speaker 1: rolling a simple chick, I got a three. You've heard
- 48:06Speaker 1: of this guy, I've seen his work. Thunderfish Run is
- 48:13Speaker 1: the reason why goddamn with Thunderfass Roun is the reason
- 48:25Speaker 1: why the police on the south side are so militant.
- 48:29Speaker 1: He claims that his father fought in the Evo War
- 48:33Speaker 1: and has passed that down to him. You know, Rachel,
- 48:36Speaker 1: the police in New Babbel are pretty desparate. They basically
- 48:40Speaker 1: operate in their quadrants without much oversight. Thunderfish Roun on
- 48:46Speaker 1: the south side is the most you know that the
- 48:49Speaker 1: police on the North side are corrupt. I don't know
- 48:52Speaker 1: if you would use that word for him. I just
- 48:55Speaker 1: think you would. He is. He is cruel. He is
- 49:00Speaker 1: known for over over incarcerating the people in the south side,
- 49:07Speaker 1: over policing. Police brutality runs amok on the south Side
- 49:12Speaker 1: with no repercussion, no repercussions, no oversight. Thunderfist Run is
- 49:18Speaker 1: in charge down here in charge of the police. Correct, well,
- 49:21Speaker 1: he would say he's in charge of cooso. Gotcha, But
- 49:26Speaker 1: that's what he would say. He's also in charge of porn. No, no,
- 49:33Speaker 1: he's not kid okay, okay, So then you're rolling against him.
- 49:37Speaker 1: He only rolls two d fours for this. I rolled
- 49:40Speaker 1: two two's, that's four. I got a six. The men
- 49:44Speaker 1: around Thunderfist look down their weapons, look at him. There's
- 49:51Speaker 1: a moment of silence, of tension here that could be
- 49:54Speaker 1: cut with a knife. And then finally he says, pack
- 49:59Speaker 1: it up this time, boy, next time I see you.
- 50:02Speaker 1: He points to you, Rigel taking you in.
- 50:05Speaker 8: Yeah, good luck with that. Rachel will just turn around,
- 50:11Speaker 8: just give my back to him, no fear and create
- 50:15Speaker 8: another star ladder up and I'll kind of yell across
- 50:20Speaker 8: the barricade it's time to go home. Everybody shows over.
- 50:25Speaker 8: Anybody hurt, anybody need a trip to the hospital.
- 50:29Speaker 1: As the police start packing up, getting in their cars
- 50:32Speaker 1: heading off, someone does gesture to you, yeah, hey, yeah,
- 50:37Speaker 1: I fly over. What's going on, man, I just wanted
- 50:40Speaker 1: to thank you for the assist before you stands a man,
- 50:46Speaker 1: broad tall, a black man with a sharp goatee, dressed
- 50:52Speaker 1: in a short sleeve button up blue. Just wanted to
- 50:56Speaker 1: thank you for the assist. My name's Darius, names Rachel.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Get everybody home safe please. You want to know why
- 51:05Speaker 1: they came Rael, do I? I don't know. I think
- 51:08Speaker 1: it might help for you to know my nephew, Donnie's birthday.
- 51:17Speaker 1: They heard about it, knew we'd be partying here, knew
- 51:20Speaker 1: we would have alcohol. The moment it turned seven, somebody
- 51:27Speaker 1: took a picture and they started rating. Yeah, this definitely
- 51:34Speaker 1: look at the picnic tables.
- 51:37Speaker 8: This definitely looks like appropriate use of forest from Koso's Finest.
- 51:44Speaker 8: I'll be around, try to keep everybody and I look
- 51:50Speaker 8: all around in check.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Thank you. You know, when they start talking about hero
- 52:00Speaker 1: you're not sure whose side they'll be on.
- 52:03Speaker 8: I'm on New Babbel's side. New Babbel desperately needs heroes
- 52:12Speaker 8: right now. I like that he smiles. Where are you from?
- 52:17Speaker 8: Rachel smiles, says, wear a mask for a reason.
- 52:22Speaker 1: But it was nice to meet you, all right, all right,
- 52:24Speaker 1: we'll see you around, Rachel.
- 52:27Speaker 8: Yeah, Rachael won't leave until I'm sure that people are
- 52:31Speaker 8: actually dispersing, but I will like hover up, you know.
- 52:36Speaker 4: Just.
- 52:37Speaker 8: Slowly looping around flating around a flight star making sure
- 52:43Speaker 8: no there's no parting, parting shots that everybody is actually
- 52:47Speaker 8: getting out of here.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Sounds good. Rachel keeps the piece. Jason, patrol, I give
- 52:53Speaker 1: a three three for patrol. What are you trying to do?
- 52:56Speaker 1: Two things really?
- 52:58Speaker 3: Thing number one patrol Page, Just keep Page safe. Watch,
- 53:05Speaker 3: make sure that no one is going near her, no
- 53:08Speaker 3: one's coming after her. Watch, spend as much time as
- 53:11Speaker 3: I can, if not in her apartment, then on top
- 53:14Speaker 3: of it, just keeping an eye out for her, patrolling
- 53:18Speaker 3: her apartment specifically and her route to work, and I'll
- 53:21Speaker 3: legend Yeah. Thing number two, I want to stalk Shay.
- 53:27Speaker 3: I want to figure out I want to know where
- 53:30Speaker 3: he went if I can, but his comings, his going,
- 53:35Speaker 3: him's comings, and him's goings, where he lives. If I
- 53:39Speaker 3: can figure that out, what his routine is. I want
- 53:42Speaker 3: to just follow Shay because if I'm not watching Page,
- 53:46Speaker 3: I need to be watching him. It's the only two
- 53:49Speaker 3: things I'm currently focusing on.
- 53:52Speaker 1: So all three go into that. Yep, okay, the paper
- 53:54Speaker 1: phantom in your mummy fit or your cloak both yea
- 53:59Speaker 1: and yeah.
- 54:00Speaker 3: I'd saymummy fit underneath and spell books like Hood and cloak.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Yeah, a shadowy figure is still very high sneak abilities page.
- 54:09Speaker 1: You're able to keep track of You don't catch eyes
- 54:12Speaker 1: on her, nobody's following her. It seems seems like she's
- 54:15Speaker 1: pretty safe at least for the time being. You follow
- 54:19Speaker 1: her some to work, make sure everything's good in the station, Shay,
- 54:24Speaker 1: because you're giving two to this. I'll give you a
- 54:27Speaker 1: little bit for free, and then I will have you
- 54:31Speaker 1: roll for something else. You're able to track him down.
- 54:36Speaker 1: You're able to bust some fingers figure out where he
- 54:42Speaker 1: went from the site of the battle. You are now
- 54:45Speaker 1: relatively familiar with the flogs activity in ask and so
- 54:50Speaker 1: you find him. As you start to watch he is
- 54:54Speaker 1: mostly he seems depressed. He does a lot of sitting, pacing,
- 55:01Speaker 1: a lot of not going out very much in the
- 55:03Speaker 1: beginning of this week, so relatable. Same dog. You hear
- 55:10Speaker 1: him at one point screaming to one of his henchmen.
- 55:16Speaker 11: I stabbed him right in the chest. Any man, specially
- 55:23Speaker 11: a boy, would have fallen to my blade. What is
- 55:28Speaker 11: in him? Where can I get it?
- 55:33Speaker 1: So you get this kind of bad vibe off of him.
- 55:37Speaker 1: WHOA he seems chill roll an investigation check to see
- 55:42Speaker 1: if you can get the second part of this. This
- 55:44Speaker 1: is a challenging check. I'm rolling a D ten.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Okay, any change I can power with paper since yes,
- 55:50Speaker 3: paper adjacent.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the second half of the week, so you
- 55:54Speaker 1: kind of game back adjacent, paper adjacent. I rolled an eighth,
- 56:00Speaker 1: my first success of the night. Somebody's gotta do it.
- 56:03Speaker 1: He does start going out of their warehouse area in
- 56:08Speaker 1: ask where he goes, and what he's doing doesn't seem
- 56:12Speaker 1: to be directed at you or page for anyone. That's
- 56:15Speaker 1: what you get. Mm hmm okay. Unmasked life, Quanta, let's
- 56:20Speaker 1: start with you two two. What are you hoping to
- 56:23Speaker 1: get done in your unmasked life? I would like to
- 56:25Speaker 1: find Gabe. Yeah, sure, you track down Gabe. He has
- 56:29Speaker 1: taken up an apartment. He's got a job at a
- 56:33Speaker 1: coffee shop. You probably can find him there first. I
- 56:36Speaker 1: just walk in as Ronnie m Ronnie Hi, whoa hey Hi,
- 56:41Speaker 1: Yeah you can just I can't. Just that's amazing.
- 56:44Speaker 5: I know.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I'm so happy for you me too. Oh boy, what
- 56:49Speaker 1: a rollercoaster you went through? I mean you too, Yeah,
- 56:53Speaker 1: you got a break coming up or anything? For sure? Yeah,
- 56:56Speaker 1: I can get off in like five cool, I'll take
- 56:58Speaker 1: my lunch. Great E takes off. You like working there?
- 57:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 57:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good. You know, it's just clean, easy, no assassins,
- 57:08Speaker 1: no murderers, just like making coffee for people to want coffee. Yeah.
- 57:13Speaker 1: No religious manipulation, yeah unless you unless you praise the bean.
- 57:23Speaker 1: Am I the bean in this scenario? No? No, I
- 57:27Speaker 1: just coffee bean? Yeah, yeah, I get it. I kind
- 57:30Speaker 1: of shuffle at the concrete.
- 57:33Speaker 2: So probably no interest in no either leaving that or
- 57:38Speaker 2: side hustling with me a little.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, of course, what do you have in mind?
- 57:44Speaker 2: I mean, I wouldn't be affiliated with the CNBD anymore,
- 57:46Speaker 2: but I kind of wanted to stop by my old
- 57:49Speaker 2: storefront and see if it's still available.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I could be. I could just like be your
- 57:54Speaker 1: desk clerk.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Yeah awesome, you know, with like an air of mystery. Yeah,
- 58:00Speaker 2: and get you a cloak or something. Oh yeah, so
- 58:02Speaker 2: more of like a yeah, like a gatekeeper. Yeah yeah, okay,
- 58:07Speaker 2: yeah cool.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:08Speaker 2: But this time, I mean I was I was really
- 58:10Speaker 2: helping people. I was, I know, I know I want
- 58:14Speaker 2: to I want to actually help people, Okay, but you know,
- 58:17Speaker 2: still have a little fun of course. I mean I
- 58:20Speaker 2: know I got out of some really big ship, so
- 58:23Speaker 2: I do understand if the the theatrics of it are
- 58:28Speaker 2: uninteresting to you.
- 58:31Speaker 1: I mean, story helps, theater helps, yeah, I think so. Yeah,
- 58:37Speaker 1: and your your other persona, he says quietly, is theater, Yeah,
- 58:43Speaker 1: and it's helping. She's helping. Okay, When do I start?
- 58:48Speaker 1: Whenever you want? I mean I have to.
- 58:50Speaker 2: I have to go by and see if the place
- 58:52Speaker 2: is even still available, maybe find somewhere new. But I
- 58:55Speaker 2: just wanted to see if you'd be interested in helping out.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm in just as soon as you're up and running.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Let me know. I'll come, awesome, and I'll cover for
- 59:04Speaker 1: you when you know you got when you're out about
- 59:07Speaker 1: you're way ahead of me. Sounds good. Cool? And what
- 59:11Speaker 1: else is your other? Unless there's anything else you want
- 59:14Speaker 1: to go over?
- 59:14Speaker 2: Gabe, I think I will attend family dinner. Cute, and
- 59:18Speaker 2: I will invite Dirk.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Invite Dirk, I would say, also, you invite Jillian, Yeah,
- 59:26Speaker 1: because she would come to family dinner from time to time.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Of course, and Gabe by Gabe, Yeah, whole the whole party,
- 59:33Speaker 2: everybody who knows, everybody who knows well, your moms don't know.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Oh that's true. Oh that's fun. Yes, yeah, so Dirk, Gabe, Jillian,
- 59:43Speaker 1: and your dad all know.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Yeah, as we're like standing on the doorstep three day
- 59:48Speaker 2: and a human girl.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Okay, so moms don't know that I'm Wanda.
- 59:53Speaker 11: You know.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Jillian says, Oh, really, my goodness, shit, I forget to
- 59:58Speaker 1: I have a ring camera. Jillian says, really, yeah, you
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: haven't told him? No, are you gonna? I don't know.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Maybe you should, Maybe I should. You're doing that. No,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do it tonight. What hey, Oh my goodness,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: we're here. She gets the door. Oh, this is our
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: first dinner. And look at all of you. There's so
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: many of you. I think we made just enough for everyone. Thanks, mommy.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: She I don't know if you've met Gabe. Hi. Gabe
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: introduces himself to your mom's your dad. Is there any
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: kind of topic of conversation you guys are getting going here?
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: A lot of people I think I want to, like,
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: would want to catch up, and I think my mom's too,
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: would probably grill Jillian about her work, like what she's
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: been up to, yeah with her research?
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Yeah, your mama, your mom, Sandy? So Jill, what's new
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: in the world of the brain, and Jill is kind
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: of like, oh, oh man, we have so much going on.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: My research is starting to get some traction actually, which
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: is nice. I mean, you know, your daughter worked with
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: me closely on it. There's pathways in the brain that
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: we build through different habits. And she goes on and
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: on about her work. The thing that's new for you
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: because you haven't caught up with her, and sometime is
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: she says, we're working on a way to change those
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: but not slowly over time through habitual action, but manually
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: by use of small robotics and things of that nature.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: We're working on. It's new, and I'm working with a
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: lot of people in the station, but it's exciting. Wow. Yeah,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I didn't tell you about this. No. Yeah, it's really.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Really cool, like changing people's feelings, memories.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Not really mostly like a quick way to change habit
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: or addiction. Oh wow. Yeah. There's a lot of ethics
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: we're working through and I'm not sure if it'll ever
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: see the light of day, but it's it's there, so
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: we gotta we gotta try.
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Yeah, ethics.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Sure, the first time you've thought about the ethical ramifications
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: of mind controlling.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Rodny things all the time.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: She's like, raise people's memories, or when she made those
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: guys just stop feeling in their whole body, and I
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: mean everything she did at the church and is like, oh,
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: there's there's no oversight committee on me.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Will rarely go blind.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Cool yeah, cool, yeah yeah, ethics, Yeah makes sense.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Your dad interrupts this conversation by saying, I guess what, Ronnie,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: You and moms are back. I thought you were gonna
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: say it with me. I figured that was the news.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: That's better than I could have hoped. They they have
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: told me that they are not They don't hate me anymore. Oh,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: which is as much as I can ask.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: I look around, sheepishly at my three friends who are
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: here for this intimate family.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Your dad is. He's got one of the tails of
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: his shirt is out in front. He's not all tucked in.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: He looks a little a little dishevel but he's smiling.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: His eyes are red.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: I shut out, sensing everyone's embarrassment.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Game is smiling. He gets the thumbs up. Jillian's like
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: shaking her head, like what is happening? Your mom's both
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: kind of put their hands over their faces. Yeah, I know,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: it's just stoic. Oh yeah, Dirk's there, Dir Dirk head
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: taller than everyone, head taller, just the chair beneath him
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: kind of crunching. He looks severe, his eyeb clench and
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: he nods while chewing on some Davy Yes, And your
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: dad's like, yeah, it's great. Oh boy, that's that's great, dad. Yeah,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. It's great. Turks like past. You
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: have this wonderful meal with your family. Nice. What are
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: you hoping to do with your unmasked time? I need
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: to spend some time with my with my family. I've
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: been neglecting them. I need to spend time at home.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I need to spend time with my sisters. I want
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: to hang out with Jason the shoot. Jamier needs to
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: needs to really reconnect with the family, make them feel
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: loved and seen because I've been a wall.
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: I'm also just gonna pick up a couple shifts earth
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: with old Joe It was Joe right, Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: don't pick up some shifts with Joey just just to
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: be seen working, you know, act like I have a
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: normal life somewhat, not just drop out of society. So
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: I think those would be the main two priorities for
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: the if I get three with my three in Unmasked Life,
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: I would also just want to like spend some extra
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: time in the shoot trying to learn a little bit
- 1:05:43Speaker 8: about what the core gang is up to, and also
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: always any Wraith stories running around town.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Yeah, great, we will go to time with your family.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: We'll say. Throughout the time, you can play with your
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: younger siblings. There's little like smaller shoot ball places that
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: don't go up, that don't switch gravity, but little places
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: that people practice half courts where you can hang out
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: with your brother, your brother Jason, even Lila, you the
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: three of you play together. Who do you want to
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: touch base with specifically Aliyah or your parents?
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: Yeah, I want to spend a lot of time with
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: my parents, my mom and dad. Yeah, maybe maybe poke
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: about stories about Grandma, but just just make them feel
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: like I'm still around, still love them. I'm checking in.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I care your dad. So, Jamir, what is up with you?
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: We're living I mean we I don't know if you're
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: hanging out on the shoot very much. We haven't seen you,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: but we are living it up here. All the fruit
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: and veggies it is, it's just keeps pouring out.
- 1:07:01Speaker 8: No, No, I've been around. I've been around. I know
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: I haven't been here enough. But no, this is this
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: is a golden era of the shoot is dawning and
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: I'm here for Dad.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: We are we are living it up in the shoot. Yeah.
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: Have the pavements had to go up with all this
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: extra stuff we're getting, or.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: They've gone down? Can you believe it? Literally? No, that's crazy.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: They have gone down. We don't need to pay quite
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: as much as we used to shoot. I guess the
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: theory they're selling. They're selling the stuff outside of the shoots,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: so maybe that income is I guess the safeties are
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: being passed on to the people. Oh well, I mean
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: what I heard was because they don't have to buy
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: food for us anymore. That food is just being provided. Yeah,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I don't have to pay shabras or anything else to
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: get our food. Then they just don't need as much money,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: and they they were honest about that and cut the
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: costs for us. It's pretty amazing.
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: That is genuinely amazing. I love hearing that man proud
- 1:08:13Speaker 8: to be a shooter. Yeah.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Even I even met the Soma Prince the other day,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: shook his hand. Wait, what where that's right here? He
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: just walks through handing out stuff to people. I don't know, Jamir.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: That's why I'm wondering if you're even around. But yeah,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: he's trying to make sure that his mom gets good votes,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: you know, I think. But I mean, obviously, if the
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: election happens, I'm not gonna vote for some Henry who
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: lives out. I'm gonna vote for a shooter. If a
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: shooter running, you know what I mean.
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: I mean, if a shooters on the ballot, you gotta
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: I mean, unless they're a complete psychopath, which I don't
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: think is the case here.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: You gotta vote for you gotta vote for the shooter,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: right right. But he's still, you know, doing his rounds,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: making sure we see him. He's being nice. He seems
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: like a good kid about your age.
- 1:09:05Speaker 8: Yeah, I've seen the media is trying to portray him negatively,
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: of course, but you know they're not a big, big,
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: strong shooter press out there. Yeah, tell it, telling at
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: how we see it. Your mom chimes in.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: He did beat up some people try to get at
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: his mom. So well, I mean that's his job, right,
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: he's security. Absolutely, he's got to beat up, absolutely, But
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: it gives them pictures, you know it gives them. It
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: gives them images that could paint him in a bad light.
- 1:09:39Speaker 8: Yeah, that's I had thought about that. Honestly, that's probably true.
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: But I'm proud of him. You know, family business.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: I think at some point your dad goes off to
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: sleep or putting your little brother and sister to sleep,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: and your mom stays up with you. Yeah, well I
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: have some late night tea. You marry you, okay, honey? What? Yeah,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: I haven't been around around. I listen, I'm your mom.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Sometimes I can see the bruises on you. Other people
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: can't notice. You're hiding them really well, but you know
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: it's me. Yeah, nothing gets past you.
- 1:10:24Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean ever since Taylor died, things have been tough.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Different.
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: I took up boxing. There's a gym in Colorado, South.
- 1:10:37Speaker 8: I've been going to just cities, getting crazy, and I'm
- 1:10:43Speaker 8: delivering all around. So yeah, I guess sometimes fighting things
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: get a little out of hand. But I'm okay, and
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: I'm getting stronger and I feel more confident taking care
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: of myself in the city.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Go ahead and make a lie check jamrr rh roh.
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: The Mighty d four swings again.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: One.
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: Oh, I don't think you can win because even if
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: Johnny ties you cry rolled to six, I'll be you
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: by five.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: That's not good. Your mom nods and smiles. Okay, as
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: long as you're safe, safe as any of us are.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I love you and just checking in on you. And
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: hey you thank you. Talk to me when you when
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: you when you need to you talk to me of course. Mom.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: All right, I need a cigarette. Hey, you try to
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: cut back it all yet what you know you're trying
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: to take care of me.
- 1:12:07Speaker 8: Maybe maybe you know trying to smoke a few less.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: I'll start smoking a few less when you tell me
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: what you're doing it. We cant smoke about. Have a
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: good night, Jimmy, and she goes down for a smoke.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: You get a couple of shifts from Joey. He keeps
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: you on payroll. The other thing was.
- 1:12:47Speaker 8: What just cruising the shoot again, trying to see what
- 1:12:52Speaker 8: the core gangs up to these days, and trying to
- 1:12:55Speaker 8: always ask around about any wraiths, recent wraith stories.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: For this Jumior make make an investigation check. Okay, three,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: this is the challenging check. I'm rolling a D ten,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: rolled to six. Here's what you gather. There's some stuff
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: just because you gave it the number you gather. The
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: core gang seems upset that they had to engage with
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: the flog so aggressively. Sure, they are doing everything they
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: can to produce and to give, to share and to
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: spread the wealth. You also run into as you're walking
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: up and down the shoot, you run into Gabby. Who
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: you know? I think it's the lady with a sign
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: that says the new Gods are coming. She lives under
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: a lean to with the curve is the curve of
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the shoot is on the outside is Hey, new gods
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: are coming, New gods are coming. He's shouting and screaming.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: As you walk by.
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: I paused, and I say, any updates on these new gods.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: As you look at her and say that, her eyes
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: go white, pupils and iris is gone. Her voice changes,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: It grows deeper, broader, ethereal, and she says to you
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: in a voice not her own.
- 1:14:46Speaker 11: Cursed one, seek the spell of communion with the Lady
- 1:14:52Speaker 11: of Light.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: She comes out of it. New gods. Hey, it was
