PRAYER: Generational Shift - 1 Chronicles 4:9-11
1 & 2 Chronicles were written to inspire a new generation of Israelites to not repeat the mistakes of their ancestors and teach them the power of prayer. From the earliest days of humanity, dating back to Adam's grandson, Enosh, prayer was key to helping people overcome their sinful nature and draw close to God. 1 Chronicles 4 spotlights a forgotten hero of ancient Israel, named Jabez, who was cursed from his youth and considered to be destined for failure. Through prayer, Jabez saw that curse broken and reminds us that we too can be redeemed.
