At twelve years old, he saw a black hand reach from behind a stage at summer camp. Moments later, a towering, cloaked figure wearing what looked like a crown appeared nearby, staring directly at him.
He hoped it was a one-time experience. It wasn’t.
Months later, the same figure appeared at a crowded mall—this time seemingly focused on his father. Then it began appearing in his bedroom, sometimes white, sometimes gray, and finally that same impossible black.
