It's good to have you here on the ranch Radio podcast.

It's been a little more than a couple of weeks since my last

podcast. And a good part of that reason

is because We were in preparation of hurricane Ian

which ended up coming right at us and it extended my, an

availability for another two weeks as we scramble to get our

power. And just basically take care of

the needs of the immediate, you know, situation and that's what

we did. So my family and I are safe, our
0:52
home is safe. We are relatively safe from much
0:56
of the Affliction that was widespread many people lost
0:59
their homes. It's real tragedy there, and

I've shared some sort of personal Thoughts with others
1:06
about my perception of hurricane Ian.

And in its initial approach, before we knew it was going to
1:15
hit us. She was a maybe I was
1:19
romanticizing, it a little bit too much, but I looked at the
1:22
awe of this, this Mighty storm and I couldn't help.

Think about the Iowa. Of Paradise.

The reason I say that is because in, you know, think of the
1:35
universe, as the way that the Rancho book describes it see
1:40
where you have the Isle of paradise, and then you have have
1:43
Ona, which surrounds the Isle of paradise, the Isle of paradise,
1:47
is the center of all things and the center of time itself and
1:53
it's the, the residents of the Trinity.

And it's certainly the residents of the Father of all creation

and there's a, there's a passage in the Rancho book that says, if

you were to be transported, from where we are today, to the Isle
2:12
of paradise, we would be so deprived of being able to

perceive what we were seeing that.

We would know where we were, where we were.

We would not be able to even really see anything because we

would be so limited in our perception and And so when I

during the hurricane, the eye of the storm actually came within
2:36
visual distance of our home and there was that intermittent
2:42
piece where the winds calm down. And of course, the weather

people will tell you that when this happens, it just means
2:50
you're at the eye of the storm and in the eye of the storm.

Everything is is almost perfect in there.

You've got all this energy swirling around this.

Will giant Energy System bringing destruction to
3:04
everything but also replenishing everything.

It's taking all of that moisture, that, that energy that

kinetic energy in the ocean and it's in its metamorphosis thing

into all kinds of other energy wind and precipitation and
3:19
force. And in a way, that's kind of how
3:22
the universe is Zeppelin's. The seven superuniverses are the
3:27
giant Cyclones that been around the central universe and then
3:32
which spins around the Isle of paradise.

And in the Isle of paradise, everything is calm and tranquil.

And so, to me seeing this, this approaching storm, I couldn't

help try to compare that to the, you know, the odd that the, the
3:50
of the spectacle, that's what I call it the, ah, of the
3:53
spectacle. I think.

Immanuel Kant said that when we Glimpse, you know, these
3:58
tremendously large systems, when we Glimpse the greatness of

Mother Nature, we are getting Insight.

We're getting a peek into Divinity divine power, and
4:13
that's why it's so overwhelming to the senses.

And anyway, that's that's basically what I took away from
4:20
the hurricane. It was certainly destructive,
4:22
but it's destructive because we haven't figured out yet that we
4:25
shouldn't be building. Homes on barrier islands.

In such quantity and thing. One thing that saved us As a
4:36
side note is that when we endured hurricane Irma, 45 years
4:42
ago, it did tear down our cage, it did rip up some of our roof
4:46
and it did make us feel vulnerable.

And we were lucky to get out of that one because we weren't in
4:51
the eye of a Verma. But because we got our cages are
4:57
outdoor Lanai is rescreen. We installed you know better
5:02
Roofing that could withstand a category 5 hurricane because of
5:06
all this we were able to have little damage this time and so
5:11
that was good. It was a great thing for us but
5:14
there is a lot of Destruction, there's no question and you
5:16
adapt people adapt were, you know, this isn't the first
5:19
go-around for human beings when it comes to weather in many ways
5:23
whether Co-sponsored religion because it was the fear of this,
5:29
whether these weather systems thunder, lightning, the drove
5:34
men and women together. You know, interestingly the
5:42
instinct to work together is apparent in a storm or a
5:48
disaster because the morning after Hurricane.

Ian rip through. Remember it quite well and I
5:55
never want to forget it. I walked outside the sun was
5:58
just coming up is around 7 a.m. and it was the day after

Hurricane Ian and all the other neighbors were coming out of
6:06
their homes as well. It's almost as if we all woke up
6:09
at the same time and we all walked out and almost
6:14
immediately people started helping each other people that I
6:16
didn't even know their names. Some did some of my knew who
6:19
they were, but neighbors that I'd lived across the way for
6:23
years and Not knowing who they are.

And it was that Spirit of cooperation.

It was that adjutant spirit that made us all sort of behave in a
6:34
similar fashion. And it's pretty interesting
6:38
experience, neighbor, helping neighbor.

And I told my son, I said, you know, You know, in times, like
6:45
these the, these Ed, you know, adversarial events will bring
6:51
out the best, and sometimes the worst in people and fortunately,
6:55
for us, there were more examples of the best being pulled out of
7:00
this tragedy, and it continues to unfold.

So, anyway, that's that's what took me so long to get back and

there's quite a bit. I want to talk To get to in this

last one was quite spectacular. If it's God's will that I go,

aware of the fact that I was in Florida, wishing me well and

sending prayers and I'm So grateful and thankful the, for

the friends that have I have acquired in the Rancho book

was in your prayers or at least I hope I was, I must have been

because there were so many miracles, least of, which is the

fact that my, my wife and family are safe, my daughter and her

boyfriend were on the other side of the state and they came back

afterwards and brought us energy and brought generators and

brought Fuel and have continued to help feeding Pull, my wife is
9:50
in the food business. So she is using her skills and
9:53
her Talent. She's such a compassionate
9:55
daughter, she really cares about people she's out there, feeding
9:59
people who need to be fed, so it's just amazing.

Again, going back to, you know, that adjective both adjutants,

not only the spirit of cooperation, but the spirit of
10:11
counsel I wonder if there's an eighth, adjutant, the spirit of
10:16
loving service. That would be interesting.

There probably is. Anyway, I want to see if I can

really good email, I guess I can't access it from this

computer, so I won't even try But I wanted to talk about paper

one. Believe it or not.

I wanted to talk about 1157 paper 157, I just on a casual

Sunday, not that long ago. I was just kind of spot reading,

which I am prone to do sometimes with the Rancho book.

I'll just pick us just a random chapter. and I'll just read it

and I, I guess it isn't that one.

I must be 156. Let me see if I can find it.

It's the Mount of transfiguration, and here we go.

And this is when Jesus Took the two Apostles or the three
11:13
Apostles with him up to Herman. And they have brought, was it?

Yeah. Peter James and John shared that
11:23
experience, some of which is, of course, in the Bible.

And and the reason I caught my eyes because at that moment, the
11:33
apostles had all pretty much dedicated their lives to the, to
11:37
the master and his teachings. And so it was in August 15th,
11:43
the morning, Jesus and three Apostles began the ascent of
11:46
Mount Hermon. There was some unfinished
11:48
business that Jesus had to conclude and so he had to meet
11:52
with Gabriel and I believe he met with Father Melchizedek And
11:58
then lo and behold the personalized.

Gesture speaks at much as if you remember, when Jesus was
12:06
baptized and the personal, adjuster behold my son and so
12:12
they reach their destination about halfway up the mountain
12:15
and shortly before noon. And while eating lunch, Jesus
12:18
told the three Apostles, something of his experience in
12:21
the Hills to the east of the Jordan shortly after his baptism
12:26
and also some more of his experience on Out Herman in his
12:29
connection with the former visit to the lonely Retreat.

Where he settled the Rebellion as a boy.
12:36
Jesus used to ascend The Hills near his home and dream of the
12:40
battles. And now he ascended Mount Hermon
12:43
to receive the endowment which was to prepare him to descend
12:47
upon the plains of Jordan to enact the closing scenes of the
12:52
drama of his bestowal on Urantia.
12:57
And the master could have relinquished, the struggle of
13:00
this day on Mount Hermon and return to his rule of the
13:05
universe domains. But he not only chose to meet
13:09
the requirements of his order of divine, sonship embraced in the
13:13
Mandate of the Eternal son on Paradise, but he also elected to
13:17
meet the last and full measure of the present will of his
13:22
paradise, father. And so it was on this day that
13:26
three of his Apostles. Saw him declined to be invested
13:31
in full Universe Authority. It was too soon.

Jesus knew intuitively wasn't done with his mission. and there
13:41
was a point where The Transfiguration occurred.

Jesus withdrew for a long conference with Gabriel and the
13:52
father, Melchizedek not returning, until about 6:00.

When Jesus saw their anxiety over his prolonged absence, he

said, why were you afraid you? Well, know.

I must be about my father's business.

Wherefore, do you doubt when I'm not with you?

I now declare that the son of man has chosen to go through his

full life in your midst, as one of you, be of good cheer, I will

not leave you until my work is finished. another was a point in
14:21
here, where The father Melchizedek and Gabriel

basically said, Gee, you know, Michael, you've fulfilled your
14:30
bestowal mission. Even the personalized gesture
14:34
appeared on the scene. I'll read to you the three.

This is just while this is going on in the apostles, we're almost
14:43
as well, they were asleep. It was a They were fast asleep
14:48
and suddenly awakened by a nearby crackling sound and much
14:52
to their amazement and consternation on looking about
14:56
them, they beheld. Jesus, in Intimate converse with

two. Brilliant beings clothed in the
15:03
habiliments, habiliment of the light of the celestial world.

So these three Apostles half-awake sort of rubbing the
15:11
sleep out of their eyes. They see this event that's
15:14
happening in Jesus is present. There's these brilliant beings
15:20
and Jesus's face and form. Shown what the Luminosity of a
15:24
Heavenly light? These three converged in a
15:27
strange language, but from certain things Peter erroneously
15:31
conjectured that the beings worth with Jesus were Moses and
15:35
Elijah. In reality from paper 158

paragraph 1. They were Gabriel and the father
15:42
of Melchizedek The physical controllers had arranged for the
15:46
apostles to witness this scene because of Jesus request.

He wanted to, he wanted his Apostles.

These three specially to see what was going on.

The three apostles were so badly, frightened that, they
15:59
were slow and collecting their wit's.

But Peter, the Peter who was first to recover himself said as

the dazzling Vision faded before them and they observe Jesus
16:10
standing alone. Jesus Master.

It is good. I've been here we Rejoice to see
16:16
this Glory. We are loathe to go back down to
16:19
the Inglorious world. If you're willing let us abide
16:22
here and we will erect 3/10 one for you one, for Moses, and one
16:28
for Elijah and Peter said this because of his confusion and
16:33
because nothing else came into his mind as just that moment.

And while Peter was yet, speaking as slivery, Cloud Drew
16:41
near and overshadowed, the four of them, the apostles now became
16:46
greatly frightened. And as they fell down on their
16:48
faces to worship, they heard a voice the same that had spoken
16:53
on the occasion of Jesus baptism.

Say this is my beloved Son. Give heed to him.

And when the cloud vanished, again was Jesus alone with the

three and he reached down and touched him saying, arise and be

not afraid. You shall see greater things

than this. But the apostles were truly
17:15
afraid. They were a silent and
17:18
thoughtful Trio as they made ready to descend the mountain
17:22
shortly before midnight. So I want to jump ahead to the
17:25
meeting of the Transfiguration and I want to read that which
17:29
James and John witnessed on the moment of the Transfiguration
17:33
was a fleeting glimpse of a Celestial pageant which
17:37
transpired that eventful day on Mount Hermon, the
17:41
Transfiguration was the occasion of number one, the acceptance of
17:45
the fullness of the bestowal of the Incarnate life of Michael
17:49
on. Urantia by the Eternal mother,
17:51
son of paradise, to the testimony of the satisfaction of
17:56
the infinite Spirit, the mother Spirit.

As As to the fullness of the Rancho bestowal, in the likeness
18:02
of mortal flesh, the universal representative of the infinite
18:06
Spirit on this occasion, spoke through the father, Melchizedek,
18:11
Jesus welcomed the testimony regarding the success of his
18:14
Earth Mission presented by the messenger of the Eternal Sun and
18:18
the infinite Spirit. But he noted that his father did
18:23
not indicate that the Iran. Shh bestowal was finished, only
18:27
did the Unseen presence of the Bear witness through Jesus
18:32
personalized, adjusters saying this is my beloved Son, give
18:36
heed to him and this was spoken in words to be heard also by the
18:40
three apostles. After the celestial visitation

Jesus sought to know his father's will and decided to
18:49
pursue the Mortal stole to its natural end.

This was the significance of the Transfiguration of Jesus to the

three Apostles. It was an event marking the

entrance of the master upon the Final Phase of his Earth career

as the Son of God and the son of man, after the formal visitation
19:10
of Gabriel and the father Jesus held informal converse with
19:15
these, his sons of ministry and communed with them concerning
19:19
the Affairs of the universe and that's the end of that paper 158

Section 3. And so I found it, fascinating
19:29
one, looking at it from the perspective of the Apostles and
19:33
what they must have imagined and how they interpreted some of the
19:37
events which survived in the New Testament.

But also there was just that That wisdom that Jesus had were
19:45
even though father Melchizedek and Gabriel and even the
19:50
infinite Spirit mission complete mission done.

And he could have laid down his tools and says okay but there

was something in him says well the father has not said to me

specifically that I'm done here. So I think there's still a

little bit more work to do. I'm going to follow father's
20:10
will and I just was thought it was Very profound and it stuck

with me for a few days. Sometimes it's easy in life.

When we think the mission is complete, whatever that mission

is and then we fail to discern that there's there's more to it

than just the completion of the mission.

Sometimes you have to be careful that you're not just cutting and

running. Sometimes life requires of us

just a little bit more of that second mile at the Rancho book

talks about the Second Mile, it's not enough.

To go. The first mile, it's really for

those who are following the spirit where it leads to go that

second Mile and that's what I extrapolated from this.

And he again gave a wonderful example in his teachings in his

life example. Of how dedicated he was to his
