- 4:05You know, today's today's show is going to be very random to be
- 4:09honest with you. I got a great voice mail but I
- 4:12want to listen with in all of you from Crow, who's a go, the I
- 4:18believe for a heating tribe Kindred, what's up, you know,
- 4:22what have you and the state of Idaho called the death, Landers,
- 4:27and before we get started into that though, I didn't want to
- 4:30call attention to a very Extensive voicemail or message
- 4:38that was left here a couple of weeks ago at this point week and
- 4:42a half or so ago because I didn't address it on last week's
- 4:48episode and I feel like that wasn't very fair.
- 4:51It was, it was a manual Freire. Who if you're watching listening
- 4:57thank you for taking the time out of your day to the call in
- 5:00and leave multiple messages. It's no problem at all.
- 5:02It's not it's you know, have no issue.
- 5:04With it. But upon your request, I'm not
- 5:10going to broadcast it on the podcast because it is very
- 5:14extensive and very detailed and then in its nature, but it
- 5:19brings up some really I think, you know, cool ideas and
- 5:23valuable points but it has to do with building.
- 5:30A heathen Community like a literal Heathen Center as it
- 5:36were here in the, you know, lower 48, at least of the
- 5:42continental United States. and man, he was asking a lot of
- 5:47like, really specific questions, you know, really good questions
- 5:53and I'm inclined to say that, you know, a lot of the questions
- 5:59that were being asked, we're better would be better position
- 6:03to have a dialogue, you know, with an and kind of pick brains
- 6:10a little bit and chew the fat amongst each other as it were.
- 6:14Because, you know, he's talking about, you know, I've got these
- 6:18opportunity to build a community with A pretty substantial amount
- 6:26of money up front to get the whole thing started.
- 6:28And he mentions, you know, making some sort of a pledge or
- 6:36I don't want to put words into his mouth, but it sounds a bit
- 6:38almost like an oath to do something within a certain
- 6:42period of time, either on his own or with the aid and help of
- 6:47others in the community and the community.
- 6:49Again, as I've talked about in another cast, you know, like the
- 6:55Pagan Community, he Community, it's so diverse and it's so
- 6:59spread out even here in the United States where, you know,
- 7:05when you say build a community with people that are Heathen,
- 7:13you know that could that could open up a that could open up a
- 7:18lot of unwanted and unloved solicited.
- 7:24Characters. You know what I'm saying?
- 7:27Just because of the certain aesthetic and some of the things
- 7:31that people that Kind of approach this this religion, or
- 7:37this Faith with skewed ideas and skewed, thoughts and wrong ideas
- 7:42and wrong thoughts, just to be frank, you again, you kind of
- 7:46opening yourself up to. When you say, I want to have a
- 7:48community, I want to build a community want to have like a
- 7:49centralized Hub or location for heathens to be able to come to
- 7:54and gather and live and in cultivate a community and have,
- 7:59you know, he's talking about things like, you know, have a
- 8:02central hope. Basically, like which we see in
- 8:07in some historical references and like Upsala and all do Sala,
- 8:11Sweden, the Hidden Temple there, something of an equivalence here
- 8:16in the States. You know, having something like
- 8:18that. And then having homes built on,
- 8:22said land, and having schools. And, and basically being
- 8:27somewhat of like a closed off to the outside world.
- 8:31And I don't mean to like, Put words again into into into your
- 8:36mouth Emmanuel for air but it Rim it reminded me of almost
- 8:42like a community similar to like what the Amish have we're there.
- 8:47In the world but not part of the world as it were, you know, so
- 8:51they have their, their school houses and they have their shops
- 8:53and they have their, you know, people within the community that
- 8:57do things for that Community alone.
- 9:01So it was very reminiscent to me when I listen to your multiple
- 9:05messages that came through very reminiscent of something like
- 9:09that and it's very ambitious, it's a very ambitious goal, you
- 9:15know And nothing like this comes like he mentions in his
- 9:19voicemail looks voicemails. Again it was it was drawn out
- 9:22over probably five minutes or so worth of messages and ideas and
- 9:28just kind of talking through it all and stuff, like I get your
- 9:31goal and I get your idea. And I think it's very ambitious.
- 9:34And I understand that you understand that this sort of
- 9:37thing, takes a lot of effort, a lot of money, a lot of time.
- 9:43And a lot of collaboration, you know, like he he mentions about
- 9:47having this goal of his achieved with, you know, by I think he
- 9:52said, if it's in 15 years and or sooner with with the right help
- 9:58and he mentioned some things, you know, like You know that
- 10:04he's not a prominent person in the Pagan Community reason.
- 10:09I think even said I'm a nobody And I you know, first of all, if
- 10:15you're coming out and talking about doing something like what
- 10:19you're describing to do, that does not make you a nobody that
- 10:22makes you quite the somebody in my opinion, you know, to think
- 10:25about having a centralized location.
- 10:32Even if it's one place in the United States, people would be
- 10:34willing to travel to people were going to come and perhaps set up
- 10:37homes in. And on this land that you're
- 10:41talking about. Purchasing the guy, the guy is
- 10:43going into some very heavy duty stuff.
- 10:47You know, talking about selling his home and selling his
- 10:51belongings and stuff and actually like Re shifting his
- 10:55hole. Lifestyle, you know, lifestyle
- 11:01that others in his Circle, and others within his, in and guard,
- 11:06I'm sure would be impacted and affected by and it's, again,
- 11:10it's a very ambitious goal and then something to have, but, you
- 11:16know, having that kind of goal in in knowing what goes with it.
- 11:20He's asking a lot of questions and he kind of posed, the
- 11:23question to be something like, hey, maybe you could be the
- 11:26voice, or would you want to be a part of it?
- 11:27Meaning, you know, myself. Um, and all that sort of thing,
- 11:31and I've, you know, had several weeks.
- 11:34Well, now, two weeks since you called this this in a week and a
- 11:38half, two weeks, I guess now to kind of ponder it and whatnot.
- 11:42And again, I'm so excited to hear that a person.
- 11:47One person is presented with an opportunity to do something with
- 11:54their possessions, with their land, with their homes, even,
- 11:57and have that be Be the thing that starts something for a
- 12:01larger audience for a broader audience for people to have a
- 12:06place a centralized place that you know they have a
- 12:12commonality, you know? And again it becomes very it's
- 12:18so it's so ambiguous and it's so great to think about it.
- 12:20But then there's also some reservations that I have about
- 12:23it too. Because, you know, you talked
- 12:25about The day and age that we live in in so much of the
- 12:29legislation that you have to go through, to be able to do things
- 12:33like this on a scale and be recognized by the government.
- 12:37And then, you know, you've got the government involved and look
- 12:40what happened with the indigenous people of the, you
- 12:43know, North America when the government got involved and you
- 12:46know, so on and so forth and it just becomes so deep.
- 12:51When you think about The potential that's there.
- 12:57And then the hurdles that come along with it.
- 12:59And again, it's not something that you know, you're going to
- 13:01achieve overnight or even within a very short period of time.
- 13:04You know, we're talking about a decade more or more if you if he
- 13:10takes it on as like a solo project and but he made this
- 13:14pledge, he made this statement as I understand that at least to
- 13:20do the thing and you know as as heathens when we say that when
- 13:25we, when we put that out there to whatever degree, you know, I
- 13:29mean, like your urine You're putting your reputation on the
- 13:35line. You're putting your luck on the
- 13:37line and I believe Emmanuel fair.
- 13:39If you're watching listening, what have you to my knowledge
- 13:42and understanding you? You serve a position amongst
- 13:48your Kindred amongst your tribe within your small or whatever
- 13:53size heating or Pagan Circle as Goethe, you know?
- 13:57So you have a position of leadership and of responsibility
- 14:01that others in your circle. We'll look to as a position of
- 14:09they rely on you and they hold you to a standard you know.
- 14:13So when you put your name out there and you put your
- 14:18everything out there on the line as you do, you now have things
- 14:24like again your reputation your refrain on the line and you are
- 14:30you are potentially Guys can't hear, but there's Thunder.
- 14:36There's thunder rolling right now.
- 14:38There's a thunder storm, that's rolling through and I hear the
- 14:43thunder rolling. You put your reputation online,
- 14:47but you you're starting to establish what we look at as
- 14:51frith, right? Because now you're, you're
- 14:53putting out something that you you have obligation.
- 15:00Now, to do the thing that you say you're going To do, right?
- 15:07It's kind of like it's in, it's an interesting timing of things,
- 15:11you know, where this whole obligation frith and and all
- 15:16that plays and plays a factor because I myself have my own,
- 15:24your friend and my own luck and everything like that online.
- 15:26But the, my luck it that I'm tying to the luck of My Tribe as
- 15:30Chieftain of our tribe, you know, I have a grave
- 15:34responsibility too. Achieve what I've set out to do
- 15:39within the time that I've set out to do it and it's great like
- 15:43it's great to do that because again, it's secures strong luck
- 15:48for those that your nearest and dearest with and it does good
- 15:52things. If you fail then it can be
- 15:53detrimental. But if you approach it in a way
- 15:56that you, you know, set out the goal and you achieve that goal,
- 16:03then the luck becomes so strong and it is a added to the well
- 16:07and becomes part of the whore log but later on down the line
- 16:10and again, becomes potentially really good things but the
- 16:16timing of it like talking about this and thinking about this now
- 16:21and understanding that you have Put something out there that you
- 16:27are now obligated to do because you you don't speak to the gods,
- 16:34you don't you don't declare these things among your kith and
- 16:36kin. You don't, you don't say these
- 16:38things. You don't swear these types of
- 16:39OHS lightly and you don't set a goal without first understanding
- 16:43the challenges ahead of you. And, and, and really and truly,
- 16:50if you do that without understanding them then,
- 16:52hopefully you've had The checks and balances set in place, you
- 16:56know, somebody who can kind of call you out and be like, whoa,
- 17:00whoa whoa, whoa. What do you mean you're going to
- 17:02do XYZ within 15 years? You know, what happens, if this
- 17:05that and the other and hopefully all of those, you know, factors
- 17:09have been considered before taking on such a enormous.
- 17:16Such an immense in such a, an impressive and ambitious
- 17:22undertaking, because like I say you for one person to take what
- 17:29they own and take their livelihood and sell it to be
- 17:33able to provide the opportunity to have something for a larger
- 17:37community that says a lot about an individual's character and
- 17:41it's very I mean, that's some powerful main I think is as is
- 17:49the word I would use is main your power.
- 17:51Your my at that point is Speaks a lot, you know, not a lot of
- 17:58people would first of all, entertain that idea because it
- 18:00would it would scare them, they would, it would put them in a
- 18:03position of taking a risk, too great to to run it, right?
- 18:11And you know you asked me some very pointed questions during
- 18:14your call and ask me about what I would be willing to do or be
- 18:19involved in. And I am apprehensive right now
- 18:23to the point of committing to anything.
- 18:25I am. Very keen in following this, you
- 18:30know, especially when you say it's, you know, a long-term sort
- 18:33of goal. I'm very keen on following it
- 18:36and approaching it in that way. And as you also request it in
- 18:39your call is I was opening this up to the community.
- 18:43The majority of my audience is here in the United States and if
- 18:50anybody who would be interested in being a part of this and
- 18:56wanting to help you has opportunities themselves that
- 18:59they're looking to to exhaust, right?
- 19:02Maybe they have resources, maybe they have things that would
- 19:06benefit you in your endeavors. Here's an opportunity for us to
- 19:12perhaps. Open up, open this up to a, to a
- 19:18larger and wider audience. And so that's why, when I said
- 19:23at the beginning, where I'd be, I'm really leaning heavily on
- 19:26wanting to have a dialogue about this, and get some sense in
- 19:31understanding of, you know, where things are at and where
- 19:35things could potentially go. And then and then perhaps
- 19:37develop a plan or help in that sort of way, develop a plan of
- 19:42whether or not I'm directly involved but at least give this
- 19:45some sort of a platform and give this some sort of a, you know,
- 19:49running start. Art as it were and get people
- 19:51because I'm just one person and you're just one person but
- 19:53together, especially on like this platform in these
- 19:57platforms, where people are listening watching, etcetera.
- 20:00Hey, you know, I want to be a part of something.
- 20:01I want to help, because, guess what I have XYZ.
- 20:04I have something that I could contribute to this.
- 20:07And when are you doing it? And where are you located?
- 20:09And oh, I know about some of the, you know, legislation
- 20:14that's involved in doing something like this and maybe,
- 20:17you know, networking can take place and we Set the wheels in
- 20:22motion to get this. Get this idea.
- 20:27You know, some steam and get it actually moving because it
- 20:29starts with one person. And that's what I wanted to talk
- 20:32to kind of touch on is that, you know, don't think that just
- 20:35because you're one person that all, I'm just, you know, I'm a
- 20:37nobody, you're not a nobody, you know what I'm saying?
- 20:40Like you're one person, expressing an idea or a thought
- 20:44and that thought is being shared out now to hundreds, if not more
- 20:50people and who knows whose ears, this may come across and where
- 20:54this could go. And so it's a seed that gets
- 20:56Lance. And you know the greatest and
- 20:58strongest of oak trees started off in a small Acorn.
- 21:04You know, the the most powerful, the most robust flavors of herbs
- 21:10and things start off with just of minut, little seed, you know,
- 21:15the beach is made up of my Newton, tiny grains of sand and
- 21:19each one of them are important to make up that beach.
- 21:24So everybody has a role in, everybody has a part and it's
- 21:26just A matter of what our part is and how far were willing to
- 21:29go and what were willing to do to establish ourselves in the
- 21:35annals of History, right. Because we do live in Saga times
- 21:39in the sand Saga. Times will continue.
- 21:42So, where do we put ourselves down in that Saga?
- 21:46You know. Well, Emanuel fair starts by
- 21:51declaring that he wants to establish a heathen Community.
- 21:54A central Hub of sorts Of heathens where there's
- 21:58education, there's farming, there's medicine, there's Health
- 22:02Care. There's, you know, schooling
- 22:04there's worship. There's all these things that
- 22:07make up what a heathen Community is in a centralized location,
- 22:11and he's willing to get that ball rolling, he's looking for
- 22:14help. And so me, and my way, without
- 22:17having the greatest voice in the Pagan Community, but having a
- 22:20voice here, I am talking about it and extending an idea and a
- 22:26thought and then Then, you know, abided by the time, this podcast
- 22:31airs, you know, Emmanuel I'm going to have sent you an email
- 22:36so that way you are tuned in and that you at least catch this
- 22:39this episode of the podcast. And that, you know, that I
- 22:43didn't ignore your reaching out and that I'm not by any means
- 22:48disheartened or discouraged of your, you know, 45 voicemails,
- 22:52and it's no big deal. I have no problem with it.
- 22:55I'm matter of Glad that you did, and I'm glad that you were so
- 22:58relentless. And I want to see about
- 23:01potentially talking more about it, in real time, perhaps we can
- 23:05get on a You know, a caller or whatever here and then have it.
- 23:12I don't know whether it's aired or not, like that's not the
- 23:14biggest importance to me, but at least we get something started
- 23:17where other people that hear this can can follow back up
- 23:20because I'm sure this is this is going to Peak some interest at
- 23:24the very least people are going to be intrigued and and want to
- 23:27be you know know more about what's going on.
- 23:30Where is this where even is is because I'm going to be honest.
- 23:33I'm not 100% sure without going back through and looking I want
- 23:39to say it's in like you know the West is are of the United
- 23:42States, the West Coast area but I can't I don't want to you know
- 23:46put my name on the line for that so again wherever and whenever
- 23:51and however I think there's going to be some, some interest
- 23:54peaked in this because this doesn't sound like something
- 23:57that has been I mean, I think that that's something like, this
- 24:02is either being attempted or has been attempted in the past, but
- 24:06I don't know of the updates on it or where things are at.
- 24:10So, you know, maybe this is the thing, maybe this is nothing,
- 24:14maybe this could become a thing. And then, maybe there's people
- 24:17that will find a home or place that they can call home because
- 24:21of this thing. And I would love to, you know,
- 24:26At least at this point right now with what limited, you know,
- 24:31information I have is explore opportunities.
- 24:36And then, without committing to anything, 100%, give give at
- 24:39least what I can too. To hear you out and provide
- 24:43perhaps a platform for for more information to be shared and
- 24:48more knowledge to be spread about it.
- 24:52And maybe other people who have other resources themselves can
- 24:56collaborate with you and be a help in that way as well.
- 25:01So I do appreciate your calling in and sharing all the
- 25:08information that you shared a manual for air and I raise my
- 25:11glass to you and toast. So Halen skull.
- 25:13Thank you so much. All right, I did have something
- 25:22I did want the listeners and the viewers to hear if I can figure
- 25:30out. Yeah, I think that's the one.
- 25:35Baby. Let's see, let's try this one.
- 25:43Nope, that's not it working off this new system and I'm figuring
- 25:47out certain things about what I'm trying to do.
- 25:52And Am I able not to to do it? We shall see.
- 26:05I see. Boom, no says computer audio.
- 26:14Oh, is it? This, is it because of this.
- 26:18Let's try that. No, it's not.
- 26:21Mmm. Content from another camera.
- 26:27Well, maybe I don't get to listen or maybe we don't get to
- 26:31share the audio this week because of Technical challenges.
- 26:47It's telling me that I want to share my computer audio but then
- 26:49I can't share it. Hmm, maybe that's something for
- 26:56next week then. unless, Nope, that ain't it.
- 27:18We're figuring it out together so exciting when you figure out
- 27:21things together. Especially when you're on a new
- 27:29new system. In.
- 27:43Why? It's not letting me just share
- 27:44the audio. It's all I want to do.
- 27:49It's all I want to do is just share the audio.
- 27:57I want to share audio from another device.
- 27:59Okay, I'll figure it out and maybe we'll come back to it at
- 28:03another time because otherwise I'm just going to sit here and
- 28:08Bore you all with me clicking around and trying to figure out
- 28:10how to do this. We'll figure it out at another
- 28:13time, but it does come from Crow from the deathlanders tribe out
- 28:20in Idaho. A May brings up some really
- 28:25useful and good points and I did want to make sure that we talked
- 28:28about it, so that'll be something for for next week's
- 28:31episode. It's kind of riding off the
- 28:32coattails of This past weeks, episode about self-care and all
- 28:39that kind of stuff. Which by the way, I hope that,
- 28:42you know, all of you are taking care of yourselves.
- 28:45And it, that, that particular episode is actually gotten a lot
- 28:48of traction. A lot of good response and a lot
- 28:52of good feedback. So guys, keep keep taking care
- 28:57of yourselves out there. It's a matter of fact, I'm
- 29:02looking forward to coming back next week and I think that.
- 29:07The whole like technical hiccup or whatever that I'm
- 29:12experiencing right now. Just learning curves, right?
- 29:16I think that next week's episode where we listen to crows voice
- 29:23mail. So Crow I know you listen and do
- 29:25you watch and catch what we do here apologies that we couldn't
- 29:28get it on this week's episode but it's common.
- 29:33I think it's going to be good timing because next week next
- 29:37episode is going to be on the Following Seeger bloke.
- 29:43I've been talking about cigarillo almost, as much as
- 29:46I've talked about, like, the upcoming you'll festivities and
- 29:49stuff. And it's, you know, it's fitting
- 29:51because Sigma blow for, for, for us and our tribe here in Middle,
- 29:55Tennessee is like it's a big deal, you know, I'm in the
- 30:00process of writing ritual for that night.
- 30:05And as it stands right now, we may have a potential chance of,
- 30:09you know, some Is it rain or whatever that day?
- 30:11But it's very minimal. The temperatures look, actually,
- 30:15to be quite lovely and that's going to be Saturday.
- 30:19So, for everybody that's catching this not live now and
- 30:22occurring right now it's, you know, two days prior to our
- 30:26superb load event. And that's falling on the, the
- 30:29night of the full moon, which is almost perfect.
- 30:32That's like the fact that it hits that way and that were able
- 30:35to celebrate it on that day, is really ideal and You know, in
- 30:40the past we will we make accommodations, you know, for
- 30:43scheduling purposes. You know, if it's a few days
- 30:45early or whatever, we're going to do it when the rest of like,
- 30:49when all of us can get together and do it, you know, comfortably
- 30:52and without having to impact our work lives too much.
- 30:56So, fortunately, we're getting to do it on the actual day of
- 31:01the start of Seger boat, which in historical times, was a
- 31:05three-day long celebration, but we're doing it.
- 31:09The one night, I know that are go the and his daughter are
- 31:12going to be camping overnight on the grounds of the vae
- 31:16surrounding on the family lands, and I personally won't be
- 31:21camping that night, nor will our law speaker due to Prior already
- 31:26established obligations with family.
- 31:27The following day because it just so happens.
- 31:31That the Christians celebration of Easter is the day after our
- 31:35singer bloat celebration. So we have family things to do,
- 31:41and But I'm excited to talk about what's going to be
- 31:46happening of singer boat or on singer boat for us at least and
- 31:51talk about what things that we can talk about.
- 31:53Because I'm in the process of writing ritual for that.
- 31:58We're going to be doing like a. We usually do a variation of a
- 32:03wicker, man on singer but at least we have in the past and
- 32:06that's the plan for this year as well as to do something like
- 32:09that. And I don't know it's going to
- 32:12be I think Going to be a really fun conversation next week.
- 32:15And maybe I get dingo to come in and, and, and talk about it
- 32:19because course, he'll be there in his daughter will be there.
- 32:23And Patrick are lost, speaker will be there as well.
- 32:26So who knows, who knows who we have on next week's episode to
- 32:31talk about it? Because I think it'll be I mean
- 32:35it's almost a guaranteed it's going to be something that
- 32:38helps. There's some sir, some
- 32:38interesting topics or whatever to talk about.
- 32:40So I'm excited about it. I'm excited about everything,
- 32:45leading up to it and all the preparations involved.
- 32:50It's like you know, I think for those that maybe catch the last
- 32:54or caught catched the English language, it's going to get you
- 33:00for those that caught the the episode week before last We're
- 33:06Dingo and I were talking about the ritual leading up to Ritual
- 33:10or the preparation of a ritual and that, you know, the ritual
- 33:13itself, what you would, you would classify what you would
- 33:17call. The ritual itself is almost
- 33:19ceremonial at that point, because everything that leads up
- 33:22to, that moment is the actual ritual, right?
- 33:26So we talked about the preparations of the grounds and,
- 33:30and just mentally preparing and the work that goes into it all
- 33:34same. And it's very similar sort of
- 33:36thing. You know, we've got the land
- 33:38cleared, we've got it prepared, but we've also got some prep to
- 33:41do beforehand. We got to get there early, we
- 33:44got to assemble our wicker, man. You know, we have to, you know,
- 33:50do that thing. We have to cart, you know, cut
- 33:52enough wood for those who will be camping then go and his
- 33:55daughter to have warmth and stuff overnight, which it's not
- 33:59supposed to be terribly cold, overnight, thankfully, but at
- 34:03least that way they have Have it, and they can keep the fire
- 34:06going and have a warm place to assemble around the following
- 34:10day. You know?
- 34:10So all of that again is important because it's the
- 34:17Everything leading up to that ritual, everything leading up to
- 34:19our ritual, the preparation of it, it puts you in that mindset
- 34:22and it puts you in that headspace.
- 34:27And but I have, I am, I'm really excited about being there and
- 34:32having our ritual and talking about it.
- 34:36But that afterwards, as much as we're able to in this in this
- 34:40way, you know, share what we want to share and talk about
- 34:43what we want to talk about. Maybe, you know, maybe you folks
- 34:46are are planning a singer bloat event for the weekend coming up.
- 34:52So if you are and you want to share, you can definitely write
- 34:55into the podcast midgard, musings TN at gmail.com or do
- 35:00like a manual, fur, didn't call in leave six voicemails.
- 35:03Let's talk about it. Let's hear about what you did.
- 35:07Let's hear about the special moments that you had.
- 35:13You know, for your sewer boat, if that's what you're doing.
- 35:16If you prefer not to talk about it, you know, no pressure at all
- 35:19whatsoever, but you offers there and the thoughts are there?
- 35:25So, aside from that, you know, I mean, Just sipping on some
- 35:37Scotch tonight. New format new.
- 35:42Backdrop new display. Hope you've all enjoyed it.
- 35:48I did want to just briefly mention something that I know a
- 35:51lot of people. On my side of the family, if
- 35:56they're still doing the thing that they've always done,
- 35:58they're going to see this and they're going to hear this.
- 36:01So this one's really for them. But it's also for somebody else
- 36:08for other people here too, because I'm sure that this is
- 36:10going to hit The nail is going to be hit on the head of many
- 36:15nails, like we're going to hit the nail on multiple heads here.
- 36:19We're going to hit the multiple heads of many nails.
- 36:22I don't know. Anyway, What was it?
- 36:32Earlier this week Sunday. My niece, my wife's niece.
- 36:38My, our niece was baptized And I've the reason why I'm
- 36:46mentioning this is because I've gotten a lot of messages emails.
- 36:54People have asked questions on different platforms about.
- 37:00You know what to do when you know you have to be in a church
- 37:04and oh and Pagan and are the gods going to be mad at me
- 37:07blabbity blah. Here we go.
- 37:11Right? Classic example.
- 37:13You you what we talk about here on this podcast and then some of
- 37:17the subject matters that come up.
- 37:19It's like I don't I don't first of all, I don't advocate for
- 37:24doing things that I wouldn't first, myself necessarily do it
- 37:27when it comes to like, The involvement of integration, I
- 37:33guess would be probably the best term of, you know, you as a
- 37:37pagan, or we as pagans in our, how our lives intertwined, with
- 37:43our families who are, who are not Pagan, okay, and how much of
- 37:48a conflict that can cause in the challenges that we face when it
- 37:52happens and so on and so forth. This past, you know, weekend was
- 37:57it was a great example of you. you know, you make mountains out
- 38:01of molehills when you think about stuff too much and are
- 38:10nice. You know, she's seven months old
- 38:13and her mother and the family wanted to, you know, have a
- 38:18celebration of a of their baby girl's life to declare a
- 38:27connection to the Christian faith and I have my opinions
- 38:34about it and my opinions don't really matter at the moment.
- 38:39I'm going to feel the way I feel and that's okay, everybody can
- 38:41feel the way they want to feel, but the fact of it is is that I
- 38:48I didn't I didn't lose any credibility with the guys, I
- 38:51didn't lose any credibility with my answers, as if anything, I
- 38:56carried them with me by going to this church.
- 39:01Sitting in this assembly and celebrating this event and being
- 39:08there in support, you don't have to necessarily agree or or
- 39:12follow the same path but I get it.
- 39:14I understand where they're coming from with it and if
- 39:17anything else like I mean I've attended a lot of Christian
- 39:24Services I've attended Catholic mass.
- 39:27I've been to Pentecostal sermons, you know, I I've seen.
- 39:35You know, Baptist services Methodist services.
- 39:39This particular one this past week was at a Methodist.
- 39:42Church. Okay, which you know, let's add
- 39:46some levity to the situation, you know, methodists are the
- 39:49Catholics that just weren't fully committed, you know.
- 39:51They're they're they're the the light version of Catholicism
- 39:56similar to what I would say is the Catholics are pagans in
- 40:01denial because it's so ritualistic man.
- 40:04Like it's so setup, Stand Down, say this say that do this do
- 40:07that very ritualistic and the the the approach of things the
- 40:12way they did it, that how they involve the community right
- 40:16there, their church, family, whatever.
- 40:17It's there's elements there that you could take and learn from on
- 40:22a heathen tribal scale on an even level, you know, the way
- 40:27that they declare Devotion to their deity, the way that they,
- 40:33you know, come together to support one another and be there
- 40:37for one another for, for a sacred.
- 40:39Right? You know something that for them
- 40:42the baptismal vows are sacred and to sit and be witness to it.
- 40:48If you've never been is is a is a very educational experience
- 40:55and I've talked to or I'm not necessarily talk to you but I've
- 40:58seen enough interaction. Actions of people online where
- 41:00they like, I don't want to go into that church because the
- 41:03gods will be mad at me. And then this that way ever, I'm
- 41:06like They don't care that they don't care about that.
- 41:11The fact is I went because my wife is like I want to go to
- 41:16support, you know, her niece. And I said, well that I'll be
- 41:20there with you and that's family and that's Ken and that's or log
- 41:24and that's all the things that really mean something to me as
- 41:28in my Pagan path and the way that I Heathen, you know, not
- 41:32telling anybody else how they should be heating or how you
- 41:34should be a pagan, or how he should be a pagan or she Sure
- 41:37they or whatever, but that's how it worked for me and it was, you
- 41:40know, it was it was a it was a way for me to be like, hey guess
- 41:46what? I may be Pagan and I may hold my
- 41:51devotions to deities that the Christian path abhors or, you
- 41:58know, Dams, me and condemns me for believing it, but that's not
- 42:04me. I'm not going to be the one to
- 42:06condemn or damn anybody for their belief.
- 42:08If anything, I will be there beside them because they are kin
- 42:10to me because they've never done anything wrong to me.
- 42:14So guess what I will be there in support and I did I went you
- 42:20know no no outward visible signs of my paganism.
- 42:24Other than the fact that you know, These ranks never come off
- 42:28and they haven't, you know, they carry certain Pagan symbols but
- 42:31I'm not like, you know, flaunting myself in a church
- 42:34with a hammer on or whatever like that I you know.
- 42:40What is that dude was that prove?
- 42:41There's nothing. There's nothing that's going to
- 42:43add good for, good luck for my, for my or log, you know, or to
- 42:50my luck that that becomes or log later on, that doesn't do
- 42:53anything for me, you know, and I know where I stand with the gods
- 42:58and I know where I stand with my ancestors, and I do what I do.
- 43:05To to add to my luck. The gods will observe or not and
- 43:10it's, you know, they're busy doing their things or whatever.
- 43:13I know where I stand. So you can do it.
- 43:20You can do it to. Anybody can do it.
- 43:21You don't have to feel weird about walking into a church
- 43:24because I'm paying it, guess what?
- 43:26I've also been told that I'm possessed.
- 43:29I'm told that because, you know, I put on a facade when I'm in
- 43:33ritual or I really embrace the ritual theater aspect of my
- 43:37practices. You know, this whole, you know,
- 43:40get up right here, right now. Like the hooded thing that the
- 43:43the the, the tunic, the Staff and then and everything like
- 43:48that. I mean, when I get into a ritual
- 43:50State, when I do my thing, I really get into it.
- 43:55It, if that's been recorded in my vistage, has been seen as
- 43:58what could appear to be as being possessed, right.
- 44:01Well, guess what? You know, this possessed Pagan,
- 44:06you know, didn't burst into flames, walking into the house
- 44:14of God as it were, Because I respect their God and I respect
- 44:18the fact that that deities and sacred beings exist across many
- 44:23cultures and across many Pantheon's and they are, they
- 44:28are not the same as us as humans there.
- 44:30You know, that's not the way I see it at least and so, you
- 44:34know, whatever I may not venerate, I may not call to that
- 44:40specific deity or give that deity any sort of worshiper.
- 44:46But they are still what they are and I don't disrespect them on
- 44:51their ground as it were because I feel like there's something to
- 44:54be said for that. So that's where I'm at.
- 44:58That's where I'm at with it and for those listening and watching
- 45:02that are literal blood kin to me, there you go.
- 45:11The doctrine over the years that has been taught and that has
- 45:14been spread around as being the ultimate truth.
- 45:21There there, there's more to the world, there's more to you,
- 45:24there's more to us, there's more to everything than what a 63 or
- 45:2864 book manuscript has to offer because that's all we actually
- 45:33have. There's there's way more to that
- 45:35that's not documented. There's way more to that, that's
- 45:37not been written down. Matter of fact, the religion
- 45:41that I follow most of, it hasn't been written down so we're all
- 45:45still figuring it out. We're all still learning and
- 45:46we're all still getting our, you know, navigating through those
- 45:49Waters. So There's my piece about it and
- 45:54that's all I'm going to say about it and at least for today,
- 45:58at least for this podcast, at least for this episode.
- 46:01So until next time and until I figure out how to get crows
- 46:09voice mail, recorded, our recording shared right now
- 46:12again, I don't know why. I like I've been able to do it
- 46:14before on a different device and on, you know, different ways.
- 46:18Not sure why we couldn't get it this week, but everything
- 46:20happens for a reason. Reason.
- 46:21So we got to learn, right? We got to figure things out.
- 46:27And I hope that this week's episode has given all of you,
- 46:33some things to think about. So more to come on the whole
- 46:39Emmanuel for are Heathen, Community land Building Homes,
- 46:46hope stuff like that. More to come on that.
- 46:50I think this was just kind of a start.
- 46:52So we shall see where it goes. And Emmanuel fair.
- 46:56I will have sent you back an email.
- 47:00Think I have your email. I said before that, I send you
- 47:03an e-mail and then I'm thinking about right now.
- 47:04Is it to have me know, pretty sure I have your email.
- 47:09So if I don't send you an e-mail it's because I shot myself in
- 47:13the foot and didn't actually know of an email but if you get
- 47:18one umm yeah, it'll be there. So for everybody else, you know,
