- 0:23Speaker 3: Us, that's right.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And now someone did appreciate these services, Angie, these poems.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We got this email that said, Hey, gab and Angie,
- 0:31Speaker 1: this is Shannon. And yesterday a little after seven, I
- 0:34Speaker 1: heard you guys doing Valentine's love poems and they had
- 0:37Speaker 1: me dying laughing in my car. I was wondering if
- 0:41Speaker 1: maybe you two could give me a couple of suggestions
- 0:44Speaker 1: for Valentine's poems for my husband. His name is Ryan
- 0:49Speaker 1: and he's a huge fan of Harry Potter. Could you
- 0:51Speaker 1: possibly do any Harry Potter themed Valentine's poems?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Thank you in advance.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Girl, easy peasy. Gabe and I are both Potter.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Heads, absolute nuts. No one would beat us in any
- 1:06Speaker 1: Harry Potter trivia.
- 1:07Speaker 4: No, absolutely not.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I've been falling asleep to those books since second.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Grade exactly, So of course we got your back. Shannon
- 1:15Speaker 2: and We've got some poems for you, Gabe. Do you
- 1:17Speaker 2: want to kick it off?
- 1:18Speaker 1: Yeah, here we go, Shannon. I got this one for
- 1:20Speaker 1: you and this one. Actually we receive some help on here. Yes,
- 1:24Speaker 1: they shout out to Elsie, who works with us. Yep,
- 1:26Speaker 1: she suggested this one. This is great.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Ron Weasley's hair is red.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Cornish pixies are blue, unlike Gildroy Lockhart. I could never
- 1:38Speaker 1: forget you. Heah, very sweet.
- 1:41Speaker 4: I like that. I like that.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Okay, here's another one for you. Roses are red. Ron
- 1:47Speaker 2: Weasley's the poorest. You're the only man allowed in my
- 1:51Speaker 2: forbidden forest.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Oh god, Angie, Okay, she loves him.
- 1:55Speaker 4: They're together.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Oh my god, that actually is hilarious.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Go for it, Gabe.
- 2:01Speaker 3: All right, Angie, what about this one?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Roses are red like Griffindor's crest.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I solemnly swear that's you are the best.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Oh. I like that one, Gabe.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Okay, I understand why you thought mine was a little
- 2:17Speaker 2: little much.
- 2:18Speaker 3: There you go, Shannon, there's one you could actually use.
- 2:20Speaker 4: No, Okay, what about this one.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Shannon, Okay, give it to me.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Roses are red. This is for Valentine's Night, Okay.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Row, I wonder where this is going.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Roses are red, snape teaches potions. Let's massage each other
- 2:36Speaker 2: with various lotions.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Oh that's not yeah, I like that. That's sexy.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's Valentine's Day.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, I have one more for you here, Shannon.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I think you're gonna like this one. Angie. This appears
- 2:48Speaker 3: to be a little more up your aule.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh gosh, okay, roses are red.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I'm glad you said yes.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I want to sneak into the last compartment on the
- 2:59Speaker 1: Hogwarts Express.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude
- 3:10Speaker 5: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 3:12Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:14Speaker 3: past job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 3:18Speaker 5: I just really needed to win, you know. Sure, your
- 3:20Speaker 5: little victories with us at seven oh one, two and
- 3:23Speaker 5: one eight seven.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And before we get to our little victories, Angie, we
- 3:27Speaker 1: have two little victories to share here. One of them
- 3:29Speaker 1: is from Tia. This is such a cool moment when
- 3:32Speaker 1: it happens in your life. Tia texts us and she
- 3:35Speaker 1: said she has finally been able to save one hundred
- 3:39Speaker 1: dollars in her savings account.
- 3:41Speaker 4: That is huge. I don't think there's anything in my savings.
- 3:45Speaker 1: It's so important to learn how to save money. It's yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 1: and you know, it's really hard to do when you
- 3:51Speaker 1: don't have any you know, when people are like, oh, yeah,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I should always save blah blah blah, Well when you
- 3:56Speaker 1: don't have any money.
- 3:57Speaker 3: To save, yeah, that is very hard to do.
- 4:01Speaker 2: You know what. Also, even just financial literacy in general,
- 4:04Speaker 2: because there are people I have in my life that
- 4:06Speaker 2: I know they be making money and they've got nothing saved,
- 4:10Speaker 2: and it's because they never learned any like financial literacy.
- 4:14Speaker 4: So that's major. Girl.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah, good for you, and keep going. Hopefully you stick
- 4:18Speaker 1: with it and at some point you know you'll have
- 4:21Speaker 1: a thousand in there or two thousand or whatever, so
- 4:23Speaker 1: keep it going. And then this one was from Renee
- 4:26Speaker 1: as she is on day two of quitting vaping.
- 4:30Speaker 4: So wait, that's really great.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Good job you made it that first day.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I think they always say that's the hardest, right, that
- 4:36Speaker 1: first day or maybe it's the second day is actually
- 4:39Speaker 1: the hard nod, but.
- 4:40Speaker 4: You take it day by day.
- 4:42Speaker 1: That's amazing exactly. So if you have a little victory,
- 4:45Speaker 1: we love hearing about them. I think it's really fun
- 4:47Speaker 1: to hear about the things that you are excited about
- 4:49Speaker 1: in your life. So congratulations to both of you two. Angie,
- 4:53Speaker 1: do you have a little victory for me?
- 4:54Speaker 2: I do, and it is Flannel Friday related. So a
- 5:00Speaker 2: week and a half ago or something, I got a
- 5:03Speaker 2: breast reduction, that's right, And now this is the first
- 5:07Speaker 2: time I've really gotten dressed since I've had the reduction,
- 5:09Speaker 2: because you know, I'm recovering whatever. But the flannel that
- 5:13Speaker 2: I'm wearing fits a lot better than the last.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Time I wore the flannel.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Al Right, I'm really excited just that my clothes are
- 5:22Speaker 2: fitting better, but specifically, I really like this flannel. I
- 5:26Speaker 2: actually bought it when I was shopping with your wife
- 5:29Speaker 2: some months ago, and so I'm wearing it today and
- 5:32Speaker 2: I like it. And so we got to post our
- 5:34Speaker 2: Flannel Friday picture.
- 5:35Speaker 1: All right, you'll be able to I don't really know
- 5:38Speaker 1: how I want to say this, but I guess you'll
- 5:40Speaker 1: be able to see that flannel and that reduction now,
- 5:44Speaker 1: Facebook page. Well, that's awesome. I'm happy for you. I
- 5:49Speaker 1: know it's been a week, you know where you're just
- 5:51Speaker 1: you're doing fine, but you know it's been a week
- 5:53Speaker 1: of recovery, and I'm just really happy for you. Thank you.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I appreciate that game.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I know that I have made it my entire personality
- 6:01Speaker 2: this last week that i've been back, and you've been
- 6:04Speaker 2: such a good supportive sport.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You know, it's kind of funny when there's people in
- 6:08Speaker 1: the building who come into So I have this office
- 6:12Speaker 1: right before Angie got here, and then Angie got here.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Now it's just our office.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I have my own office, but it's not as
- 6:17Speaker 4: fun Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 1: No, we work way way better together and that's where
- 6:21Speaker 1: we get all the funny ideas, or at least we
- 6:23Speaker 1: hope they're funny, and we talked through them in so
- 6:25Speaker 1: it's just our office now, And for this past week
- 6:28Speaker 1: I kind of wish it was just my office because
- 6:31Speaker 1: there's been a lot of booby talk in.
- 6:35Speaker 3: The office.
- 6:35Speaker 1: But no, I'm really happy for you, and I think
- 6:37Speaker 1: that's great and I'm glad you feel great. Thank you.
- 6:40Speaker 4: What's your little victory?
- 6:42Speaker 1: My little victory is there is going to be a
- 6:44Speaker 1: video on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page
- 6:46Speaker 1: today of what would be the cutest dog on Earth?
- 6:49Speaker 1: And I am also talking about your dog. Okay, everyone's
- 6:53Speaker 1: dog is the cutest dog on earth. But you can
- 6:56Speaker 1: throw my dog in there as well. Okay, Winona has
- 6:59Speaker 1: got your super Bowl champion. Yes, Wanona is giving her
- 7:04Speaker 1: first ever Super Bowl prediction. And you're gonna get to
- 7:08Speaker 1: see that video.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Now.
- 7:10Speaker 3: When you watch the video, you're gonna be like, well,
- 7:12Speaker 3: did you kind of pick both teams here?
- 7:14Speaker 1: But she did pick a team, and we'll share that
- 7:17Speaker 1: with you on Big ninety eight point seven's Facebook page
- 7:19Speaker 1: at some point today. And I'm the forward for you
- 7:21Speaker 1: to see it. Anytime I get show off my dog,
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm always all for it.
- 7:25Speaker 4: I mean, and she's the cutest dog in the land.
- 7:31Speaker 1: All right, Angie. Before we get to the best squares
- 7:33Speaker 1: for the Super Bowl. In the tea, we had talked
- 7:37Speaker 1: about Sports Illustrated doing a magazine for the web.
- 7:42Speaker 2: They knew this is what they're calling it, the New
- 7:44Speaker 2: Era of wags, which means wives and girlfriends of athletes.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And I don't love that term, you.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Know why, But it's just I feel like these ladies
- 7:54Speaker 1: are more than just the wives and girlfriends of professional athletes.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Okay, and you know, wag.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It sounds like they're dogs. They couldn't be like further
- 8:04Speaker 2: from that.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So, so while you were getting your water or coffee
- 8:07Speaker 1: or whatever you were doing during those songs, I was
- 8:09Speaker 1: feverishly working over here to come up with some new terms.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Oh okay, what about champs?
- 8:15Speaker 1: All right?
- 8:16Speaker 2: Amps?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yep, okay, committed husbands and mates providing support.
- 8:22Speaker 2: But that's what that's what they are, that's.
- 8:24Speaker 4: What the dudes are.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not great.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Okay, all right?
- 8:27Speaker 1: What about this one? MVP most valuable partners that I like?
- 8:33Speaker 3: Way that I like?
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yeah, the new era of MVPs, they should have done that.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Okay, And this one's a bit of a stretch, but
- 8:40Speaker 1: I okay, I really like the words I used.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I just couldn't figure out the acronym part.
- 8:46Speaker 4: Okay, Oh brother, all right.
- 8:48Speaker 2: All right?
- 8:48Speaker 3: What about aces? Okay?
- 8:50Speaker 1: Okay, athletes, companions and empowered supporters?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Bro, you really struggle bust your way through that one.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Let's go with MVPs. Yeah, most valuable partners are like that. Well,
- 9:03Speaker 2: there is a.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Big game coming up on Sunday, and if you are
- 9:06Speaker 1: doing some squares for the Super Bowl, okay, whether you're
- 9:11Speaker 1: doing it at work or you're doing it for people
- 9:13Speaker 1: who come over to your house or whatever, the case
- 9:15Speaker 1: may be, there are some proven numbers that are way
- 9:20Speaker 1: better than others. Okay, some of the best squares you
- 9:24Speaker 1: can get are zeros, sevens, and threes, which makes total sense.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Well, yeah, because they get a touchdown and kick the
- 9:35Speaker 2: extra points.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Seven.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, no one has scored yet, zero happens, and then
- 9:39Speaker 2: only a field goal three exactly.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Now, if you end up with these numbers, you might
- 9:44Speaker 1: as well take your five dollars or twenty dollars and
- 9:47Speaker 1: light it on fire with a lighter. Okay. The worst
- 9:50Speaker 1: numbers two's, oh yeah, fives, yeah, then eight.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that all makes sense unless someone has a safety,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and then.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Unless a crazy play or whatever reason, someone randomly decides
- 10:08Speaker 1: to go for two in the first quarter.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Well, we're doing football squares here at work, but we
- 10:13Speaker 2: pick them blind, like the numbers aren't generated yet.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't have any sense.
- 10:18Speaker 4: So the numbers will.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Be generated this morning, is what I was told. And
- 10:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna take a look at that board, and if
- 10:25Speaker 2: I'm stuck with eights, twos or fives, I'm just gonna
- 10:28Speaker 2: throw my whole wallet in the trash.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Bagg Wag.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We have this very funny friend who we call m G. Batty, yes,
- 10:42Speaker 1: and she frequently goes to Unhinged with us on Thursdays
- 10:46Speaker 1: at Unhinged Sports Bar, and she got a little bit
- 10:48Speaker 1: of a crush on somebody who works.
- 10:50Speaker 4: There, but she hasn't yet.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Gotten the courage to officially basically ask this man Tuter shot.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Well we were are and I were talking about this
- 11:03Speaker 1: in the office yesterday and we were like, I wonder
- 11:06Speaker 1: how often people while at work, while on the job
- 11:10Speaker 1: get asked out because I'm sure you hear about it
- 11:13Speaker 1: with bartenders and servers. I'm sure on a hourly basis,
- 11:18Speaker 1: not even a day to day basis, but an hourly basis.
- 11:22Speaker 1: But what about you know, if you work at a
- 11:25Speaker 1: circle K or Target or yeah, I don't know, the bank.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Do people hit on you at the bank if you're
- 11:32Speaker 1: a teller? You know, I've always wondered that.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I want to know.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I mean, it's just me and you in this studio,
- 11:38Speaker 2: so no one's trying to pick us up.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Not ever literally ever.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So I did ask this question on the Big ninety
- 11:44Speaker 1: eight point seven Facebook page. Hey, have you ever been
- 11:46Speaker 1: hit on, approached, or someone maybe shot their shot with
- 11:50Speaker 1: you while you were working? Hey? Can you let me
- 11:54Speaker 1: know where you work and be you know, how did
- 11:56Speaker 1: it go? Chelsea said, yes, she was working at a pharmacy.
- 12:00Speaker 1: This person is on their way in to get some
- 12:03Speaker 1: ointment for that rash and they're hitting on Chelsea. Chelsea
- 12:07Speaker 1: said she knew the guy had a girlfriend.
- 12:10Speaker 3: He was flirting.
- 12:11Speaker 1: He was flirting, looked down in my hand and saw
- 12:13Speaker 1: my ring and said, oh, you're married. Caught me off
- 12:15Speaker 1: guard and I was like, uh yeah. He said, bummer,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I was going to ask you out. She goes on
- 12:20Speaker 1: to say, no, thanks, my guy.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Well good, how she knew, you know what, probably his
- 12:26Speaker 2: girlfriend picked up his meds for him before exactly she knew,
- 12:30Speaker 2: how dare he way to go?
- 12:31Speaker 3: Chelsea? Good for you to stand ten toes down for
- 12:34Speaker 3: your hubby.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Ashley said, I was measuring this guy for a TuS
- 12:38Speaker 1: and he asked for my number. I was already dating someone,
- 12:41Speaker 1: so obviously I told him that and he was really
- 12:43Speaker 1: nice about it.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Oh okay, got like that.
- 12:45Speaker 1: You know, it's good to hear some positivity from the
- 12:47Speaker 1: dudes out there who get rejected. You got to take
- 12:50Speaker 1: that ego way down when shooting your shot, because if
- 12:52Speaker 1: you're playing the game right, you're asking out a lot
- 12:55Speaker 1: of people, maybe not all at the same time. I'm
- 12:57Speaker 1: not saying that, and there's nothing wrong with youn't turn down.
- 13:00Speaker 1: You know how many times I've been turned down in life?
- 13:02Speaker 2: Angie, Oh, I feel like you would say never every
- 13:06Speaker 2: day of my life.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I'm just kidding, I've been Finally, your wife said, fun,
- 13:11Speaker 1: I've been shot down a billion times.
- 13:14Speaker 3: It Actually, you gotta go through some adversity.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean, all right, Kayla said,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I did when I was eighteen working at Burger King.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Burger King. Okay, he wanted you to be his burger queen.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I like that, she said, married to him now for
- 13:29Speaker 1: fourteen years.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yes, it's a sweet ending.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You have to shoot your shot no matter where the
- 13:36Speaker 2: person is working.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Yeah, there's ways to go about it, certainly to be respectful.
- 13:41Speaker 3: And then finally, I have Tony here.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Tony, it's kind of interesting to hear it from the
- 13:45Speaker 1: guy's perspective a little bit. Here, Tony said, Yes, when
- 13:48Speaker 1: I worked at Macy's in the blause section. And Tony,
- 13:52Speaker 1: if this story is fake, it'd better not be, because
- 13:54Speaker 1: it is a wonderful story.
- 13:56Speaker 3: But the blouse section.
- 13:58Speaker 4: I mean is that a section that Macy's, well, like
- 14:01Speaker 4: the ladies department.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I feel like you would call it, yea,
- 14:04Speaker 1: not the blouse section.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Maybe he was folding the blouses.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I choose to believe this story, Tony said. When
- 14:10Speaker 1: I worked at Macy's in the blouse section, a lady
- 14:13Speaker 1: came up to me and started asking about my opinion
- 14:16Speaker 1: on what color she should get and what style of blause.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I found her the perfect one that was satin with
- 14:23Speaker 1: ruffles down the middle. She asked me to come watch
- 14:26Speaker 1: her try the blouse on, which is very for what,
- 14:30Speaker 1: very very awesome for this guy. Okay, he said, well,
- 14:33Speaker 1: maybe we should get to know each other a little
- 14:36Speaker 1: bit more, and then he went on into his truck
- 14:39Speaker 1: and cried. While listening to George Strait, this man.
- 14:45Speaker 3: This is am I the problem. It's the problem.
- 14:52Speaker 2: It's me.
- 14:52Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 14:55Speaker 5: help decide if it's right or if maybe.
- 14:59Speaker 3: You're the I'm hardly the problem. On Big ninety eight
- 15:02Speaker 3: point seven.
- 15:04Speaker 2: We're gonna call him Bobby because he wants to keep
- 15:07Speaker 2: his name anonymous. But he needs our help, Gabe, because
- 15:11Speaker 2: he was lying by omission when he started dating this girl.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Hi Gabe, Hi Angie. I'm really pressed and needs some help.
- 15:20Speaker 2: So I met this girl in person downtown. She's maybe
- 15:22Speaker 2: like five seven or five eight, total smoke show, great vibes,
- 15:25Speaker 2: so funny. We've been on a few dates and each
- 15:28Speaker 2: one gets better. But see when he sorry, go ahead, no,
- 15:33Speaker 2: go ahead? What were you going to say?
- 15:34Speaker 3: Wow, it's very interesting.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Out of all of those compliments he just gave this
- 15:37Speaker 1: lady mm hm, he started with her height. I'm gonna
- 15:41Speaker 1: guess this dude is lying about something involving how tall
- 15:45Speaker 1: you are.
- 15:45Speaker 4: But I'm a shorter guy five p five ish.
- 15:49Speaker 2: And when we met, I was wearing lifts in my shoes.
- 15:53Speaker 2: They look totally normal, but at about three inches on
- 15:56Speaker 2: the inside. So this whole time she's been seen me
- 16:00Speaker 2: basically eye to eye. I'm starting to panic because eventually
- 16:04Speaker 2: there's going to be a moment where the shoes come off,
- 16:07Speaker 2: and when that happens, she's gonna realize I'm not even
- 16:11Speaker 2: average height. I really like this girl, and I don't
- 16:14Speaker 2: want to get dumped over this. Technically, I didn't lie,
- 16:18Speaker 2: so I didn't actually do anything wrong. Right, What am
- 16:22Speaker 2: I supposed to do?
- 16:23Speaker 1: I know exactly what to do. You are not the problem.
- 16:27Speaker 1: What's what's his name, Robert, It's Bobby. We're calling him Bobby. Okay,
- 16:31Speaker 1: here's what you do, Bobby. This is something you get
- 16:33Speaker 1: ahead of, and you get ahead of fast, and you
- 16:36Speaker 1: play the poor puppy dog card. Okay, there is no
- 16:40Speaker 1: way around this. You go and you just go right
- 16:43Speaker 1: into it, and you be very honest, very vulnerable, and
- 16:47Speaker 1: if she leaves you, she's not the one, but you
- 16:49Speaker 1: basically just gotta tell her, hey, I've kind of I
- 16:52Speaker 1: didn't want to really see him five to five on
- 16:54Speaker 1: these couple of dates, so I've been getting a little
- 16:56Speaker 1: extra assistance on the old height genetics.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and you just get ahead of it.
- 17:00Speaker 1: You be honest, You just say I'm really sorry if
- 17:03Speaker 1: I feel like I kind of led you on a
- 17:05Speaker 1: little bit, but I have been wearing these in my
- 17:07Speaker 1: shoes and I hope that doesn't affect whatever.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Now it might.
- 17:10Speaker 1: She's totally within her right to be like, wow, I'm
- 17:13Speaker 1: not really into that, and that's okay. She is allowed
- 17:17Speaker 1: to think that. But you get ahead of this, and
- 17:20Speaker 1: you get ahead of it early. You do not want
- 17:22Speaker 1: to be walking to the bathroom or something where you're
- 17:25Speaker 1: in your bare feet and she kind of looks at
- 17:27Speaker 1: you with one of them eyebrow raises and goes, wait
- 17:29Speaker 1: a second, something seems afoot and it's the problem is
- 17:33Speaker 1: these things are on his foot. Okay, So you get
- 17:37Speaker 1: ahead of this and get out of it early.
- 17:39Speaker 4: What are your thoughts? Seven oh one two, eight oh one,
- 17:42Speaker 4: nine eighty seven.
- 17:43Speaker 2: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 17:45Speaker 2: point seven Facebook page.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I have some thoughts work, because if you play the
- 17:50Speaker 1: poor puppy dog, like, hey, I was really embarrassed, babba,
- 17:53Speaker 1: she might.
- 17:53Speaker 3: Think that's sweet.
- 17:54Speaker 1: She might be like, oh, he was willing to, uh,
- 17:57Speaker 1: you know, be honest with me, and I can't leave
- 17:59Speaker 1: him now because it all look like a jerk.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you get ahead of this early. Bobby the problem.
- 18:10Speaker 2: We had a guy right in who wanted to remain anonymous,
- 18:13Speaker 2: so we're calling him Bobby, and he wants to know
- 18:16Speaker 2: if he's the problem because he's dating this girl they
- 18:20Speaker 2: met in person. Is when they first met, and he
- 18:23Speaker 2: happened to be wearing lifts in his shoes to add.
- 18:27Speaker 4: About three inches to his height.
- 18:29Speaker 2: The girl is about five eight with the lifts in,
- 18:32Speaker 2: he's about five eight. He's very concerned that once the
- 18:36Speaker 2: shoes come off and she realizes he's more like five five,
- 18:40Speaker 2: that she might dump him over it. He wants to
- 18:43Speaker 2: know if he's the problem for not, you know, outright
- 18:46Speaker 2: being like, by the way, not tall, yeah, not even
- 18:49Speaker 2: average height.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Yeah, well as a man who stands at about five nine,
- 18:52Speaker 1: Angie nine, you're five nine five nine with some shoes on,
- 18:56Speaker 1: you know, about five nine and a half.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Okay, Bobby, hook a brother up. Where do you get
- 18:59Speaker 3: these lifts? I'm gonna walk around looking at almost six ft.
- 19:04Speaker 4: I don't think.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I don't think that he's the prob blum necessarily.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I think he should have said it earlier. But the
- 19:11Speaker 4: thing is, to me, I'm only five to one. Everybody
- 19:14Speaker 4: is tall to me.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I have much to stand on it exactly if
- 19:19Speaker 3: you get my no.
- 19:21Speaker 2: I totally got your joke, and I liked it. But
- 19:23Speaker 2: that's why I feel like I can't. This wouldn't bother
- 19:26Speaker 2: me because I am not a tall woman.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you're still looking up exactly. Well.
- 19:32Speaker 1: There are some people who have chimed in, and there
- 19:34Speaker 1: are a lot of individuals who are actually kind of
- 19:37Speaker 1: more supportive of Bobby than not okay. But just like
- 19:40Speaker 1: every am I the problem he does have his detractors.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Would that be use?
- 19:44Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 19:44Speaker 1: That works, thank you, Sarah said, If she dumps you
- 19:47Speaker 1: over three inches, she's not your person. Confidence is way
- 19:51Speaker 1: more attractive than hype.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Yeah, wrong, three inches.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I can't. I'm I'm gonna skip right past that, Kayley said.
- 19:59Speaker 1: My husband in his five six and I'm five nine,
- 20:01Speaker 1: been married twelve years. Tell her and own it. The
- 20:04Speaker 1: right one won't care. That's kind of what I said, Bob,
- 20:06Speaker 1: get ahead of this thing right now. Play the sad
- 20:08Speaker 1: puppy dog. I was just insecure, and you might think
- 20:11Speaker 1: you're sweet for it. Timothy, he said, lifts aren't lying,
- 20:15Speaker 1: they're just advanced posture.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Relax.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I like that.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Relax, Bobby, she likes you. And then Brianna said, women
- 20:22Speaker 1: wear heels and lashes. You're allowed to boost a little
- 20:24Speaker 1: two king.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I like that.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Listen. It is the era of the short king, and
- 20:29Speaker 2: we can thank several celebrities for that, but right now,
- 20:32Speaker 2: the hottest one. Marcello Hernandez on SNL he is a
- 20:38Speaker 2: short king.
- 20:39Speaker 4: He did a whole bit about it on the Update Desk.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Short kings are in all right, So you gotta embrace it,
- 20:45Speaker 2: my guys, it's our season.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Yes, okay, Now there are some people who are not
- 20:49Speaker 1: necessarily a fan of what sir Bobby did. Here Tia said, sorry, Bobby,
- 20:53Speaker 1: you gotta come clean. Finding out later we'll feel sneaky
- 20:56Speaker 1: even if you didn't technically lie.
- 20:59Speaker 4: I get Maybe he could put lifts in his socks.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Yeah something, Just wear like four of them all the
- 21:05Speaker 1: time for the rest of your life, Tara or Tara,
- 21:08Speaker 1: she said, start wearing normal shoes now before the big
- 21:12Speaker 1: reveal turns into a trust issue.
- 21:15Speaker 4: That's true. Yeah, maybe the next day just.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Exactly gone in shocking Yeah, two inches and then be.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Like, what how was this hype? The whole time thinks
- 21:27Speaker 4: she's getting taller?
- 21:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:29Speaker 1: And then Emily, finally, she said, if a guy showed
- 21:32Speaker 1: up suddenly three inches shorter, I wonder what else he
- 21:35Speaker 1: wasn't being honest about.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Yes, so I think Bobby.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Collectively, as a group here on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 21:41Speaker 1: we're saying, you know, eventually you are going to have
- 21:44Speaker 1: to kind of come clean or just naturally the truth
- 21:46Speaker 1: will reveal itself. Yeah, but get ahead of it early
- 21:49Speaker 1: so it doesn't seem like something you were lying about.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Coming up on Sunday, there is one of the biggest
- 21:57Speaker 1: events in all of sports, the biggest football game of
- 21:59Speaker 1: the year.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Yes, and there will be a lot.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Of people doing some wagering on this game. There's gonna
- 22:05Speaker 1: be you know, prop bets. How long is the national anthem?
- 22:07Speaker 1: What color is the gatorade that the winning coach gets
- 22:11Speaker 1: dumped on at.
- 22:12Speaker 3: The end of the game.
- 22:13Speaker 1: You know, how how many points are gonna be scored
- 22:16Speaker 1: in the first quarter? Will the first play be a
- 22:18Speaker 1: pass or a run? Angie has wagered four dollars with
- 22:22Speaker 1: me bank Glitten on some of these prop bets. But
- 22:26Speaker 1: we are going to bet on the game here, Angie.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Oh man, Okay, We're just gonna bet on winner and loser.
- 22:32Speaker 3: You don't have to cover any spread, you don't have
- 22:34Speaker 3: to do.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Anything, because I don't even know what that means.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And I will let you pick which team you would like,
- 22:41Speaker 1: which team do you think will win on Sunday, And
- 22:44Speaker 1: we'll get into the bet portion after.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with the Seattle Seahawks. I lived there
- 22:50Speaker 2: before I came here, and my kids still have roots
- 22:54Speaker 2: over there because their dad lives there. So they are
- 22:56Speaker 2: rooting for the Seahawks. Are not gonna go against my children. Yeah,
- 23:01Speaker 2: so I'm gonna go with the.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Seahawks, all right. So Angie has the Sea Pigeons.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I have got the New England baby Patriots clearly in
- 23:08Speaker 1: this Super Bowl. Angie, here is our bet. And we
- 23:10Speaker 1: talked a little bit about this yesterday. If the Seahawks win,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I no, You've been asking me to do this for
- 23:19Speaker 1: a while, so I will at least until baby Glitten
- 23:22Speaker 1: arrives sometime this summer. If the Seahawks win, I will
- 23:27Speaker 1: grow my hair. I won't get a haircut until kiddo arrives.
- 23:31Speaker 1: This makes me so happy, all right, so we'll see
- 23:33Speaker 1: my luscious now becoming salt and pepper gray locks.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Nicklas, you know why.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I really need the Seahawks to win only for this bet,
- 23:42Speaker 2: because Gabe, when I met you, you were wearing a hat.
- 23:46Speaker 2: You wear a hat a lot, and that's and that's fine.
- 23:49Speaker 2: But in my experience, men be hat fishing. Okay, they
- 23:54Speaker 2: wear a hat. You don't know what's under there, and
- 23:56Speaker 2: usually they're bald, and that's fine. If you're bald, who cares?
- 24:01Speaker 2: So imagine my surprise, though, when you took off your
- 24:04Speaker 2: hat full head of hair, full head of hair. Yeah,
- 24:08Speaker 2: I was so surprised. And then you were like, well,
- 24:10Speaker 2: I used to have long hair, and you showed me pictures,
- 24:13Speaker 2: and honestly, I think we have them.
- 24:15Speaker 4: We have a few pictures of you.
- 24:17Speaker 2: With long hair on the Big ninety eight point seven,
- 24:20Speaker 2: Facebook and Instagram.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Yep, you look great with lock. Thank you, you look great.
- 24:26Speaker 2: And so I have been begging you, and in fact,
- 24:29Speaker 2: in the summer we ran into some listeners who also
- 24:32Speaker 2: said you should grow out your hair.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I remember that.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yes, it was at the Fargo Police Department picnic. I'll
- 24:39Speaker 2: never forget it because I am team grow your hair out. Okay, Peahawks,
- 24:44Speaker 2: don't let me down. I want to see Gabe's luscious locks.
- 24:48Speaker 1: It sounds like what Angie's really just hoping for is
- 24:50Speaker 1: she gets a better looking co host here eight point seven.
- 24:54Speaker 3: So all right, so.
- 24:55Speaker 1: That would be you know, maybe late June July at
- 24:58Speaker 1: some point, okay, for when I I will not get
- 25:00Speaker 1: a haircut, which I don't think my wife is a
- 25:04Speaker 1: big fan of.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Sorry, Corey, you got to sacrifice.
- 25:07Speaker 1: For the team, sacrifice for the bit, that's right, Okay, Angie.
- 25:10Speaker 1: If the Patriots win, what I would like you to
- 25:14Speaker 1: do is allow me to take some kind of pictures,
- 25:17Speaker 1: maybe some kind of selfie, Okay, and then I want
- 25:21Speaker 1: you to leave that as your phone background for at
- 25:24Speaker 1: least one month, so every time you open up your phone,
- 25:29Speaker 1: it's my lovely face.
- 25:31Speaker 4: And it's so stupid.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Fine, Okay, Fine, I agree to the terms. Gabe. People
- 25:38Speaker 2: are gonna think I'm obsessed with you if they see
- 25:41Speaker 2: me in public.
- 25:42Speaker 3: It's gonna be a lot more funny for you or
- 25:43Speaker 3: for me than you.
- 25:44Speaker 2: That's embarrassing, all right, that's fine. I accept the terms
- 25:48Speaker 2: of the bet.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Is there anyone who wants to get into a bet
- 25:52Speaker 1: with Angie and I? If you are riding around in
- 25:54Speaker 1: your car right now and you're like, oh, I want
- 25:55Speaker 1: to do a bet with Gabe and Angie, text us we.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Can come up with something.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we're down for the Maybe we got to bring
- 26:01Speaker 1: you Sandy's Donuts or something.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Who knows, Okay? Yeah? Seven one two eight zero one
- 26:06Speaker 3: nine eight seven.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Is there a bet you'd be willing to make with
- 26:09Speaker 1: Angie and I here for the big game on Sunday
- 26:11Speaker 1: and we'll just pick teams we don't need to get
- 26:13Speaker 1: too into the nuance of gambling. Yeah, but I think
- 26:16Speaker 1: it'd be a lot of fun. And hopefully Angie walks
- 26:19Speaker 1: around with my beautiful face on her phone.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Frae, I hate it.
- 26:23Speaker 2: No, you'll have a baby soon, Gabe. And then those
- 26:32Speaker 2: babies grow up to be kids, and then they say
- 26:38Speaker 2: savage things that might make you laugh but are naughty
- 26:41Speaker 2: and they shouldn't say.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it's kind of funny.
- 26:44Speaker 1: A lot of the people who have talked to me
- 26:47Speaker 1: about said baby, a lot of people saying it's so
- 26:50Speaker 1: wonderful and it changes your life and all these great, wonderful,
- 26:54Speaker 1: amazing things. But I'm glad that I can always go
- 26:56Speaker 1: to you here on Big ninety eight point seven to
- 26:59Speaker 1: get the truth, and I'm glad I can go to
- 27:01Speaker 1: Angie to get the truth on when things maybe take
- 27:04Speaker 1: a little bit of a turn there's a little fork
- 27:05Speaker 1: in the road.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Yes, obviously this is about Lea. Liam is my eighte
- 27:11Speaker 4: year old savage.
- 27:12Speaker 2: She is so honest and I love him for it,
- 27:15Speaker 2: but it gets him in trouble a lot. And we
- 27:16Speaker 2: got into it yesterday. I think it's wild that I
- 27:20Speaker 2: say I got into it with my eight year old. Uh,
- 27:24Speaker 2: I got into it with him yesterday because he was
- 27:27Speaker 2: getting himself a snack and he really likes hot cheetos,
- 27:29Speaker 2: so he took the great drag of hot cheetos and
- 27:32Speaker 2: he poured some in a bowl for himself. And I
- 27:36Speaker 2: saw this, and I thought there was a little too
- 27:39Speaker 2: much in that bowl for how much I wanted him
- 27:41Speaker 2: to snack. So I said, oh, no, there's too many.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I'm going to put some back in the bag. And
- 27:46Speaker 2: he said, no, there's not, and I said, yes, there is.
- 27:50Speaker 2: There's too many, So I'm going to put this back.
- 27:51Speaker 2: And he said, but there aren't. That's not too much
- 27:54Speaker 2: in the bowl.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Yes, it is.
- 27:57Speaker 2: If I say that there's too much in the bowl,
- 27:59Speaker 2: there's too much in the bowl. I'm just saying I
- 28:03Speaker 2: don't think it's too much. And I said to him,
- 28:07Speaker 2: you don't always have to get the last words. Stop talking.
- 28:10Speaker 2: You don't have to get the last word. And he
- 28:12Speaker 2: looks me square in the face and says, I do
- 28:16Speaker 2: have to have the last word.
- 28:18Speaker 4: That's my main thing as a person.
- 28:23Speaker 3: What you're eight, You don't have a main thing.
- 28:27Speaker 2: No, your main thing as a person is that you
- 28:32Speaker 2: have to get the last word.
- 28:35Speaker 4: And yeah, who.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Is raising you me, the answers me, and I'm the problem.
- 28:40Speaker 1: That's one of those Your main thing as a person
- 28:43Speaker 1: is me, Okay, I will decide if when where you
- 28:45Speaker 1: get a main thing exactly.
- 28:48Speaker 2: But I couldn't help but laugh because it caught me
- 28:51Speaker 2: off guard, so then he couldn't take me seriously. I mean,
- 28:56Speaker 2: he he ate the cheeto amount I said, but I
- 29:01Speaker 2: think he'll try to get one past me today.
- 29:04Speaker 3: What did your kids say that?
- 29:05Speaker 1: You know, it was probably a little naughty, maybe a
- 29:07Speaker 1: little unhinged, but you couldn't help but laugh. Sarah, this
- 29:13Speaker 1: would be kind of a worst nightmare scenario, but it's hilarious.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Her ten year old called his teacher spoiled milk because
- 29:21Speaker 1: she referred to herself as old. At some point, those
- 29:25Speaker 1: parents parent teacher conferences are gonna roll around.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Oh my god, Sarah.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Has to go see this lady in her face, knowing
- 29:32Speaker 1: dang well that her son called her spoiled milk.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's a horrible thing to say, but
- 29:38Speaker 2: it is also very funny. Listen, Sarah's kid, you cannot
- 29:42Speaker 2: refer to her as spoiled milk.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Only we can call ourselves old.
- 29:46Speaker 3: You can't chime me, yeah, we don't need the help.
- 29:48Speaker 2: No.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And then Sonia, she said, when my boys were younger,
- 29:53Speaker 1: when we said we are going to Minards, I already
- 29:56Speaker 1: know where this joke is going. But when we said
- 29:58Speaker 1: we were going to minards, they would start saying ouch
- 30:01Speaker 1: my nerds, which is a joke every kid. It's a
- 30:03Speaker 1: classic boy mom behavior, part of growing up.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Seven oh one two, eight zero one, nine eight seven.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Did your kid ever say anything maybe a little unhinged,
- 30:13Speaker 1: maybe a little bit naughty, but you just couldn't help
- 30:16Speaker 1: but laugh, and then you lost the take me serious battle.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Let us know this morning, I'm Big ninety eight point seven.
- 30:24Speaker 3: I need some good.
- 30:27Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 30:31Speaker 5: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 30:34Speaker 1: There is a football game being played on Sunday. It's
- 30:37Speaker 1: one of the biggest sporting events of the entire year
- 30:40Speaker 1: and easily the biggest football game of the season. There's
- 30:43Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of gambling on this game, and
- 30:46Speaker 1: Angie and I have our own personal bet where if
- 30:50Speaker 1: the Seahawks win, I will grow out my hair. As
- 30:55Speaker 1: she is kind of not begged. I wouldn't go that far.
- 30:57Speaker 4: No, I begged too proud.
- 30:59Speaker 1: She's wanted me to do this for a while, so
- 31:02Speaker 1: I will grow my hair out until baby Glitten arrives.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Now, if the Patriots win, I have.
- 31:08Speaker 2: To have my wallpaper on my phone be a picture
- 31:12Speaker 2: of Gabe for at least a month. I love how
- 31:17Speaker 2: it's at least There's no way I'm going over a month.
- 31:20Speaker 4: For a month, you'll be my phone.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Screen, which I right, I find hilarious.
- 31:26Speaker 1: We offered up if anyone wanted to text us at
- 31:29Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven
- 31:32Speaker 1: to do some kind of wager for the big Game
- 31:35Speaker 1: on Sunday, we would be down to try to work
- 31:38Speaker 1: something out. And this is Gabe's good news of the
- 31:40Speaker 1: day from Justin. Justin said, I'll take you up on
- 31:44Speaker 1: a bed. If the Patriots win, I'll print you a
- 31:48Speaker 1: big ninety eight point seven three D print excuse me,
- 31:52Speaker 1: three D print a big ninety eight point seven keychain
- 31:55Speaker 1: up to four colors of your choice, and he sent
- 31:57Speaker 1: an example of the keychain.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Now, Justin took the Seahawks.
- 32:01Speaker 1: He said, if the Seahawks win, my coworkers and I
- 32:05Speaker 1: get Sandy's Donuts or Papa Bagel at some point, you know,
- 32:10Speaker 1: In the near future, hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday, or we.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Can take that. We can take that bet justin.
