- Thomas: I do want to touch on, so we got before the SpaceX IPO, briefly, I do want to touch on the UN slavery vote, For those who don't know, what day was it? On March 25th, 2026, the United Nations General Assembly. passed a resolution declaring the transatlantic slave trade as the gravest crime against humanity, supporting reparations. The vote was 123 to three with the United States of America, ⁓ the Israel, well Israel, the country of Israel, the nation of Israel, and Argentina voting against it, primarily citing concerns over the legality of reparations for historical wrongs. BS. ⁓ and then 52 nations abstained. So not not that I don't think I'm not well, how do I say this nicely? Most educated and realistic black people are not expecting reparations. ⁓ You look at how reparations were played out for like other populations like the Native Americans and others. Those aren't reparations, brother. They just say, screw you. I'm going to make your life worse. ⁓ So I don't think any of us are like looking for reparations. Well, there are a lot of people. I've tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of people talking about reparations. It's not going to happen. ⁓ But I think it's more like the fact that you can't even acknowledge that that was the greatest crime against humanity. And then we're seeing like what's going on with the world now. And then like you look historically what some of these places are like connected to, ⁓ even from World War II and other things. It's like, like, I don't know, bro. I just think we're always gonna be viewed as ⁓ nothing more than the material that goes into putting the bottom of your boot together and then the gum on the bottom when you scrape it off. Malcolm: I mean, I'm disappointed, but I'm not surprised, bro. I mean. think if you are, I mean, you go outside and look bro, mean, this country has not given any indication that they are marching on towards respecting our people any more than they already have in the past. we've made a ton of, like that's the thing bro, people don't realize like we're not even a hundred years removed from slavery bro. People seem to think that this, like, people seem to just think like, ⁓ all this happened in the 1800s, 1700s, bro. Thomas: is fresh. That's fresh. Malcolm: We're just getting to the next couple generations after, this was not that... It's people who still have grandmothers and great grandmothers and grandfathers who were slaves, bro. I don't know why people keep trying to push this back. I it's not a thing. But I can say, I'm not surprised whatsoever about the US. In their words, they... They, they're, they're, ⁓ verbiage. They're, you know, jargon they used to they said that the US does not recognize illegal right to reparations for historical wrongs that were not illegal under international law at the time they occurred. Basie saying since it wasn't illegal, when it happened, we shouldn't have to pay for it now that it is illegal. The United States also strongly objects to the resolution's attempt to rank crimes against humanity in any type of hierarchy. He said the assertion that some crimes against humanity are less severe. then others objectively diminishes the suffering of countless victims and survivors of other atrocities throughout history. This is like textbook downplaying, like, and just straight up trying to make our suffering seem like, ⁓ well, we can't rank crimes because it makes, you know, someone else's crime seem less significant. And that's to tell you everything that you need to know about this country and their perception of you, bro.
