- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorites presented by Draft Kings. The Crown
- 0:13Speaker 1: is yours. We are an Action Network podcast. I'm Brandon Kravit,
- 0:17Speaker 1: your host to back at it with the first lady
- 0:20Speaker 1: of the pod, Miss Kendrim Middleton, the Prime Minister of
- 0:23Speaker 1: Degen Nation. Stucky back in the fold. NFL Draft Round
- 0:27Speaker 1: one is in the books. I was all excited because
- 0:31Speaker 1: for the first time in fifteen years, I was able
- 0:34Speaker 1: to watch the draft from the comfort of my couch.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And as it turns out, guys, I'm old and I
- 0:41Speaker 1: fell asleep. I picked twenty nine.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You're kidding?
- 0:45Speaker 3: How it was so quick?
- 0:47Speaker 1: It was? It was very quick.
- 0:48Speaker 2: It was how many beers?
- 0:50Speaker 1: I just had too amazing two.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Beers and passed out. Are you kidding, krabbit?
- 0:55Speaker 1: It doesn't take much. I have a very comfortable couch.
- 0:57Speaker 1: There was there was something like palindromic about the speed
- 1:01Speaker 1: of the draft, and it just put me right out.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I don't know if it was all the trades the
- 1:05Speaker 1: bills made or what, but how was How was your night? Kendra?
- 1:09Speaker 2: It was good.
- 1:10Speaker 4: I cooked and I watched half of it on the StairMaster,
- 1:13Speaker 4: and then I cleaned my kitchen and it was over.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It was great.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I'm not sure whose night was more lame, yours or mine? Stucky?
- 1:20Speaker 1: What about you bring us home?
- 1:23Speaker 5: My night was good. I got on a couple of
- 1:26Speaker 5: hours ago to a lot of beer pong and it
- 1:31Speaker 5: was fun.
- 1:31Speaker 6: I thoroughly enjoyed the draft the new eight minutes too,
- 1:36Speaker 6: Like it's only two minutes. I get it, but it
- 1:39Speaker 6: made a world of difference.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And I appreciate Mike Greenberg telling us about fourteen hundred
- 1:45Speaker 1: times last night that was It was definitely just something
- 1:48Speaker 1: they were hammering that home. I think he was stressed out,
- 1:51Speaker 1: which is why he kept bringing it up, like we
- 1:54Speaker 1: only have eight minutes. Just a reminder, there's only eight minutes,
- 1:57Speaker 1: all right, dude, Just spit out the information and move No.
- 2:01Speaker 6: Kay Ken just said the broadcast bind. I heard this
- 2:03Speaker 6: from so many people. I told you guys yesterday, I
- 2:06Speaker 6: mute everything.
- 2:07Speaker 5: I have to go.
- 2:08Speaker 6: I'll do this on Monday. I'll unmute like Schefter and everybody.
- 2:12Speaker 6: By the way, I just muted everyone, so that didn't
- 2:15Speaker 6: I didn't.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I met on like the actual TV broadcast like like
- 2:19Speaker 4: they were yeah yeah, but.
- 2:21Speaker 6: Also like in the betting market, people were like they
- 2:24Speaker 6: were like texting me and DM me, like, have you
- 2:26Speaker 6: seen some of these prediction markets? They go the odds
- 2:30Speaker 6: go to like minus ten million five minutes before.
- 2:35Speaker 5: The pick happens.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Well, it's because like ESPN was that far behind, and
- 2:38Speaker 6: then the broadcast is superblind they're talking about picks like
- 2:41Speaker 6: so yeah, it's a work in progress. But I I
- 2:45Speaker 6: just thought going to eight minutes made so much more sense,
- 2:48Speaker 6: and it was.
- 2:48Speaker 5: It was an enjoyable watch in a wild draft like
- 2:50Speaker 5: it it was.
- 2:51Speaker 6: There was so much outside of Mendoza. I think one
- 2:56Speaker 6: of the biggest betting storylines was the number two pick,
- 2:59Speaker 6: like we I we were wrong, or Lamark and I
- 3:03Speaker 6: you had a great, great day by the way, Kendrew,
- 3:05Speaker 6: but the number two pick that was drama. I think
- 3:07Speaker 6: there was just so much uncertainty throughout and I thought
- 3:10Speaker 6: it lived up to the hype and I can't wait
- 3:11Speaker 6: for the next couple of days.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Well Man Matt talked me off of my my one
- 3:16Speaker 1: two three exact with Mendoza, Bailey and then Love, but
- 3:19Speaker 1: I didn't end up hitting the Cardinals to take Jeremiah Love. Evan,
- 3:23Speaker 1: how was your night before we break down the draft?
- 3:25Speaker 3: It was fantastic.
- 3:26Speaker 7: You should have added Carnell Tate to that one two three,
- 3:29Speaker 7: and that would have been.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I actually didn't even see that. I don't know whatever
- 3:32Speaker 3: that was.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But like Tate, Kendro was in her bag with that one,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Carnell Tate the Titans at fort nobody. I didn't hear
- 3:38Speaker 1: anybody else that.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Had what was he what did he close out of
- 3:41Speaker 6: him forty one fifty to one, forty to one, fifty
- 3:45Speaker 6: to one to be in that slot. Yeah, yeah, I
- 3:47Speaker 6: didn't see that, and I didn't see that. I didn't
- 3:48Speaker 6: see tit of the Titans literally anywhere.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it was good, good for good for cam Ward,
- 3:55Speaker 1: and good for the Titans offense. I think he is
- 3:59Speaker 1: as rock solid of wide receivers you're gonna find in
- 4:03Speaker 1: this draft. The wide receiver position in general is its
- 4:07Speaker 1: own storyline with everything that we saw. So we're gonna
- 4:09Speaker 1: break it down in a moment. But stuck, you go
- 4:11Speaker 1: ahead and grease the wheels. What do you got for
- 4:12Speaker 1: us this week?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Hey, this is a dumb question.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Let me ask you a personal question.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Kind of question.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Is that this question.
- 4:22Speaker 5: I'm trying to pull myself back because I'm getting I'm
- 4:25Speaker 5: preparing myself to yell about the rams pick.
- 4:30Speaker 6: Yes, I'll have to say that. All right, let's get
- 4:35Speaker 6: let's get a little I didn't have one prepared, so
- 4:39Speaker 6: I'm trying to think on right now.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So we were doing click peak yesterday. You say, hey,
- 4:49Speaker 1: let's just do this tomorrow. We had a whole twenty
- 4:52Speaker 1: four hours for this month off.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Asking me to do anything in April is sure?
- 4:59Speaker 3: So all right?
- 5:00Speaker 5: What is your passion?
- 5:02Speaker 6: Uh, in terms of what do you care about? Like causes,
- 5:09Speaker 6: so something that you think that people should donate to,
- 5:13Speaker 6: or something that you feel like doesn't get covered or
- 5:18Speaker 6: you want to bring the light so we'll get a
- 5:20Speaker 6: little little mushy here, but or something that means something
- 5:23Speaker 6: to you. It's something that I don't ask enough people.
- 5:26Speaker 6: It could be personal or for any other reason.
- 5:30Speaker 5: What is it? What is a cause that is near
- 5:33Speaker 5: and dear to your heart?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Evan raised his hand, He can go first.
- 5:37Speaker 3: I need really raised my hands since I was kind
- 5:39Speaker 3: of thinking about it.
- 5:39Speaker 7: But my two things are pretty simple, and these are
- 5:41Speaker 7: mushy but uh, like animals, like I had a cat
- 5:45Speaker 7: for a while who passed away, so I guess I'm
- 5:46Speaker 7: pretty mushy about that.
- 5:47Speaker 3: And like I did some reasons. Uh yeah, like within
- 5:51Speaker 3: the last like six months or so.
- 5:53Speaker 7: And cancer because that's what the animal died of and
- 5:56Speaker 7: my dad had it as well.
- 5:57Speaker 3: So like, I guess those are like two very simple.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So those are some answers.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Simple but important.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah for sure, all right, I'll Kendrick goes, let me
- 6:08Speaker 1: get my scroll.
- 6:11Speaker 4: I am on a board in the state of New
- 6:13Speaker 4: Hampshire trying to get common sense food allergy laws passed.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I know that people up here know this about me,
- 6:19Speaker 4: but I don't know if you guys know this about me,
- 6:21Speaker 4: like the people that listen to the show, I think
- 6:22Speaker 4: a couple of people on here do. My junior year
- 6:26Speaker 4: of college, my best friend passed away while we were
- 6:29Speaker 4: out to dinner at a restaurant from a peanut allergy
- 6:32Speaker 4: that we ate at constantly. They put peanuts in something
- 6:35Speaker 4: that she knew was like a safe dish for her
- 6:37Speaker 4: to order without telling her, and she went into anaphylaxis
- 6:40Speaker 4: while we were together, gave her to two EpiPens. She
- 6:42Speaker 4: went into a coma and passed away on her twenty
- 6:44Speaker 4: first birthday.
- 6:45Speaker 2: So I am in.
- 6:47Speaker 4: A like on a board trying to get common sense
- 6:49Speaker 4: food allergy laws passed in New Hampshire and hopefully we
- 6:52Speaker 4: will move to like the federal side eventually.
- 6:55Speaker 1: That is awesome. My is something I don't open up
- 7:00Speaker 1: about often, but my son, who's six years old, was
- 7:02Speaker 1: diagnosed with autism when he was two, and we are
- 7:07Speaker 1: fortunate enough he's doing great through all the therapies that
- 7:10Speaker 1: he does. That when you're young, you're afforded all of
- 7:15Speaker 1: these services. And something that I've learned is that once
- 7:18Speaker 1: you age out, you're pretty much just thrown to the wolves.
- 7:21Speaker 1: So there's a there's a cause here in Orlando that
- 7:25Speaker 1: helps adults with autism, and that is a cause that
- 7:28Speaker 1: I support for those that are graduating high school that
- 7:31Speaker 1: just get thrown out into the real world. And some
- 7:33Speaker 1: of them didn't have the help leading up to that
- 7:37Speaker 1: point in their lives, and it's a really difficult transition
- 7:41Speaker 1: for people. So great questions, stucky as you got us going.
- 7:46Speaker 3: How did you.
- 7:49Speaker 6: My mom was when she used to work when I
- 7:52Speaker 6: was growing up, she that was her job. She would
- 7:54Speaker 6: teach autistic kids. How, how how did he? How does
- 8:00Speaker 6: he do like initially socially, like in the first couple
- 8:04Speaker 6: of years compared to how he's doing now?
- 8:05Speaker 5: And would you do about it.
- 8:07Speaker 3: I have a new kid.
- 8:08Speaker 5: You don't know, right, you don't know until like they're two,
- 8:10Speaker 5: two three? Is that true?
- 8:12Speaker 1: Yeah? So the thing was is that he was starting
- 8:15Speaker 1: to he was starting to say words, and he had
- 8:18Speaker 1: like a bank of you know, twenty or thirty words,
- 8:22Speaker 1: cow MoU, you know all this, you know, the basic stuff.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And then one day we kind of just it wasn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: just one day, but gradually we noticed that it all
- 8:32Speaker 1: just went away and he just lost all his language function.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And so then the testing started, and it's difficult because
- 8:39Speaker 1: young kids, there's just there's only so much you can
- 8:42Speaker 1: do with testing, and you know, I get so protective
- 8:44Speaker 1: about my own kid. I was really resistant to it
- 8:47Speaker 1: at first. But once he started going to preschool and
- 8:50Speaker 1: he's like the kid in the corner that's just stacking
- 8:52Speaker 1: blocks and everything's a straight line, you start to realize that, Okay,
- 8:55Speaker 1: your kid might be a little bit different. And then
- 8:58Speaker 1: once he started with speech there therapies and occupational therapies,
- 9:02Speaker 1: everything changed. And it's one of those things that everybody's different.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I have a really hard time telling this story because
- 9:10Speaker 1: anybody else that's out there that as a child with autism,
- 9:13Speaker 1: your story is completely different than mine. Most people that
- 9:17Speaker 1: are around my son would have no idea unless you
- 9:20Speaker 1: spent significant time with him. When you go, I mean,
- 9:23Speaker 1: quirky is just the perfect word for it. He's a
- 9:26Speaker 1: very different individual, great heart, very sweet, but if you
- 9:30Speaker 1: knock him off his pattern, he gets thrown off very quickly.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And so he's made it a long way. But you
- 9:37Speaker 1: can always hit me up off to the side if
- 9:39Speaker 1: you ever have any questions, because it is it's confusing,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and still six years into his life, trying to piece
- 9:44Speaker 1: that together is a challenge.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Yeah, others some of the most successful plee now or
- 9:51Speaker 5: we're all on the spectrum of my wife and I
- 9:53Speaker 5: always say, oh.
- 9:54Speaker 2: My god, everybody has a flavor, you know.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, he's brilliant. And that's one of the reasons why
- 9:58Speaker 1: I joke on Twitter times that I'm teaching my son
- 10:01Speaker 1: how to bet on sports. It's because he's he's so
- 10:04Speaker 1: gifted at math that I'm just any anything that I know,
- 10:10Speaker 1: which is limited when it comes to mathematics. I'm just
- 10:13Speaker 1: trying to feed that into his brain. If he's going
- 10:16Speaker 1: to be special, let's lean into that.
- 10:19Speaker 5: You're eventually going that's basically what you're saying.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, I mean that's that's exactly that.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Lean on your your radio, your perfect golden radio voice.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Thank you. If we're still doing this show in fifteen years,
- 10:32Speaker 1: it will just be me sitting next to my son
- 10:34Speaker 1: and and you guys will be talking to him.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Cards and you're like, uh, my two aur my mom
- 10:41Speaker 5: has Parkinson's and she was diagnosed in eight uh. And
- 10:48Speaker 5: the one thing I'll say out of all of this,
- 10:50Speaker 5: this entire conversation is if you want to donate to
- 10:55Speaker 5: any good cause, look into the actual charity.
- 10:59Speaker 3: And my J.
- 11:00Speaker 6: Fox Foundation is one of the best out there. There
- 11:04Speaker 6: are so many, so many nonprofit organizations that will pocket
- 11:10Speaker 6: so much of the money and your actual dollars that
- 11:15Speaker 6: you're donating aren't going to the cause. And MJF is
- 11:19Speaker 6: one of the best out there.
- 11:21Speaker 5: So that's near and dear in my heart. It's a
- 11:23Speaker 5: there's so many people that have someone close to them
- 11:25Speaker 5: as parkins is. It's a cruel disease. And then homelessness.
- 11:30Speaker 5: I went I worked in high school.
- 11:34Speaker 6: We did a community service thing where you can choose
- 11:38Speaker 6: what you want to do, and we went down to
- 11:39Speaker 6: Kensington in Philadelphia, which.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Is a horendous area. And this was before it's worse now.
- 11:46Speaker 6: But well, I worked at a soup kitchen or volunteered
- 11:49Speaker 6: a soup kitchen there, became close with a couple homeless guys,
- 11:54Speaker 6: and then was on a board of a nonprofit Chester
- 11:57Speaker 6: County o I see for ten years helping out homeless people.
- 12:00Speaker 6: And I've watched people, just good people from like good
- 12:04Speaker 6: backgrounds somehow become homeless.
- 12:06Speaker 5: I mean it's crazy.
- 12:07Speaker 6: And because of that experience, I just I never will
- 12:11Speaker 6: judge any And then if if it's there's one hundred
- 12:14Speaker 6: homeless people, yes, I get it. Some of them they're
- 12:16Speaker 6: there because of their bad decisions, but there's many that aren't,
- 12:20Speaker 6: and I will always try to do what I can
- 12:22Speaker 6: to help them. So those are the the two that
- 12:24Speaker 6: are closest to me.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Find another show, well, yeah, find another show breaking down
- 12:30Speaker 1: the NFL draft that makes you making people cry.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Now off to our favorite pick right now? Can we
- 12:38Speaker 3: on the rams in a second?
- 12:41Speaker 1: We still have our full breakdown to get to. We
- 12:44Speaker 1: still have our draft bets for rounds too, but right
- 12:49Speaker 1: now we'll take a quick step to the side as
- 12:52Speaker 1: we chat about DraftKings.
- 12:53Speaker 4: The NBA playoffs are here and you know that this
- 12:56Speaker 4: is when the details matter most, and our partners at

- 13:13Speaker 4: profit boost every day of the NBA Playoffs. So while
- 13:16Speaker 4: we're breaking down why a certain play worked or how
- 13:19Speaker 4: a defense got manipulated, you can get in on the
- 13:21Speaker 4: game two with DraftKings.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Don't wait to take your shot.
- 13:24Speaker 4: Download the DraftKings sports Book up now and use code
- 13:26Speaker 4: favorites to turn five dollars into three hundred dollars in
- 13:29Speaker 4: bonus bets. If your bet wins DraftKings, the crown is yours.
- 13:34Speaker 1: We made you wait for it. But the headline move
- 13:37Speaker 1: is that the Rams sat right there at thirteen and
- 13:41Speaker 1: took Ty Simpson poised for a Super Bowl run. Many
- 13:45Speaker 1: think that the roster is the best in the NFL,
- 13:48Speaker 1: but instead of adding to it, they set themselves up
- 13:52Speaker 1: for the future. Potentially. Kendra hits her over on quarterbacks
- 13:56Speaker 1: drafted in round one, Stucky, what do we think the move?
- 14:01Speaker 5: But everything Ken everything, Kendrick said us, So I feel
- 14:04Speaker 5: like it. You had a good, good day, right Kendrick,
- 14:07Speaker 5: I did.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that pick was.
- 14:12Speaker 5: So I was out with friends for the draft.
- 14:15Speaker 3: I had to go.
- 14:16Speaker 6: This is how preposterous I thought that pick was. I
- 14:19Speaker 6: had to go watch leave my friends to go watch
- 14:23Speaker 6: the press conference and see what Sean McVay was saying.
- 14:27Speaker 6: And I was listening on my phone watching on YouTube,
- 14:31Speaker 6: and he looked miserable.
- 14:33Speaker 5: I don't think he had anything.
- 14:35Speaker 3: To do with it.
- 14:35Speaker 5: I mean, obviously had something to do that.
- 14:37Speaker 6: But you go back to an interview that he had
- 14:40Speaker 6: a month ago when he was like, I haven't done
- 14:42Speaker 6: that much work when they asked him about ty Simpson
- 14:46Speaker 6: and he was just like, Oh, we haven't done that
- 14:47Speaker 6: much work.
- 14:47Speaker 5: I don't think he ever dreamed of them picking types
- 14:50Speaker 5: of I.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Haven't even got to the point that they actually picked
- 14:53Speaker 3: him at thirteen.
- 14:54Speaker 5: I mean, they could have traded it back.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I thought he was gonna go thirty four.
- 14:58Speaker 5: And I'm not even going to get into the point
- 14:59Speaker 5: that he's I'm not a believer in ty Simpson.
- 15:03Speaker 3: This is just a more more expensive Stepsan Bennett, Like,
- 15:08Speaker 3: do you know thirteen? This is a competing with Stafford?
- 15:15Speaker 3: What are they doing? Sorry, I haven't Gavin got I
- 15:17Speaker 3: would keep.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Going on and on, but Ty Simpson said that he's
- 15:21Speaker 4: never met Sean McVay.
- 15:23Speaker 3: There's a lot here, guys.
- 15:26Speaker 4: That is.
- 15:28Speaker 5: What was the What are the odds closed up that
- 15:29Speaker 5: he would go there?
- 15:31Speaker 2: Oh my god, who knows?
- 15:32Speaker 3: I have those?
- 15:34Speaker 6: The Rams is different because the Rams could have, like
- 15:36Speaker 6: you know, Rams could have drafted them in the third round,
- 15:38Speaker 6: and I would have I thought it would be less.
- 15:40Speaker 7: So Simpson was forty to one to go thirteenth. There
- 15:43Speaker 7: was seventeen guys listed ahead of him on the thirteen board. Uh,
- 15:48Speaker 7: and we were obviously assuming and knowing that the Rams
- 15:51Speaker 7: would have that pick and nothing changed. So that's a
- 15:55Speaker 7: pretty clear representation of what happened there. I'm not even
- 15:58Speaker 7: sure who made this pick, Like you say, the Rams
- 16:01Speaker 7: selected Ty Simpson. You look in that room last night
- 16:03Speaker 7: like less snead. I don't even know who made the
- 16:06Speaker 7: pick because at the point at the end we're talking
- 16:08Speaker 7: about Stetson Bennett and making comparisons to having this other
- 16:12Speaker 7: quarterback like that.
- 16:14Speaker 3: That press conference was so awkward and then they were like.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Roger was like, dude, we'll get you back somehow, but
- 16:22Speaker 5: you just got we announced the wrong pick.
- 16:26Speaker 3: It said something else on the card.
- 16:28Speaker 1: If that's the case, the calls are going the way
- 16:30Speaker 1: of the Rams.
- 16:30Speaker 6: It's one of the Oscar things. But yeah, I don't
- 16:32Speaker 6: understand that pick at all. At the craziest I going
- 16:35Speaker 6: up to that pick, I was like, the Chiefs are insane.
- 16:39Speaker 6: I don't know what the Chiefs were doing because I
- 16:40Speaker 6: don't know why they traded up for Delaney. They would
- 16:44Speaker 6: have gotten him at nine. I was like, oh, the
- 16:46Speaker 6: Browns are somehow winning this draft through.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I thought they were going Mackay that's right.
- 16:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I think that they might have gotten the Chiefs
- 16:54Speaker 6: probably got tricked by someone else thinking what someone else
- 16:56Speaker 6: was going to do. But yeah, the Rams this is
- 16:59Speaker 6: a in now roster with Stafford and that that's what
- 17:02Speaker 6: McVeigh was made sure that.
- 17:05Speaker 5: He was like, look, this is this is Stafford's team
- 17:08Speaker 5: until he wants to ride off, and like do.
- 17:12Speaker 3: You have to get someone that? Like the roster is
- 17:15Speaker 3: so close? Are they have the Super Bowl favorites right
- 17:18Speaker 3: now for next year?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 17:23Speaker 5: And they drafted a quarter a quarterback well, I don't
- 17:26Speaker 5: think it's very.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Good and they overreached for him. They could have traded
- 17:31Speaker 3: back and still got him. And what do you think
- 17:34Speaker 3: we'll get another get another pick?
- 17:36Speaker 5: You could like that absolute insanity. I still can't believe
- 17:40Speaker 5: that they did it. I'm going to tell myself, like
- 17:43Speaker 5: we all just came to the conclusion that it was
- 17:45Speaker 5: a mistake.
- 17:46Speaker 3: And who wanted about it? The guy who won m
- 17:49Speaker 3: v P that team took a quarterback in the first round.
- 17:54Speaker 4: I was gonna say, what do you think that this
- 17:55Speaker 4: says about like stetson Bennett though, because to me, it's
- 17:59Speaker 4: like he's got to be out the.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Door, gotta be I mean, they have Stafford and then
- 18:05Speaker 3: the thirteenth pick.
- 18:06Speaker 6: Yet he's gotta be out the door. But at least
- 18:10Speaker 6: and people are like, oh, well he gets to learn
- 18:12Speaker 6: under McVeigh and Stafford. That was Bennett, but like way
- 18:15Speaker 6: less money. You know, you gotta pay money for the
- 18:18Speaker 6: thirteenth pick. Bennet would one hundred and twenty eighth pick.
- 18:21Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 18:22Speaker 6: Somewhere around there hit like that's this is insanity. Yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 6: but he's he's got a cut that their quarterback situation,
- 18:30Speaker 6: assuming Stafford was back was fine. Once Stafford's gone, like
- 18:34Speaker 6: you got to just go all in, now you go.
- 18:36Speaker 6: And that's the craziest thing is that's what the Rams did.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Before they went all in f them picks, right like
- 18:45Speaker 5: they went all in to win a super Bowl, Like
- 18:47Speaker 5: that was their motto.
- 18:48Speaker 6: And it's nothing has changed as far as he's running
- 18:50Speaker 6: the show. And now they're like, Okay, well let's get
- 18:53Speaker 6: a quarterback at thirteen, and then after this year, we'll
- 18:57Speaker 6: have a quarterback three years, so.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Now be job our own insane?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Can I make the counterpoint here? I just feel like
- 19:04Speaker 1: I do for this. This This needs probably some I think,
- 19:09Speaker 1: But I'm not a Ty Simpson guy either. I didn't
- 19:13Speaker 1: I bet the under on quarterbacks selected in the first round,
- 19:16Speaker 1: so I didn't think it was going to happen. I
- 19:18Speaker 1: don't think that it should have happened based on talent.
- 19:20Speaker 1: But if you're talking about the position and the position
- 19:23Speaker 1: the Rams are in, we would all agree that if
- 19:25Speaker 1: the Rams don't have the most loaded roster in the NFL,
- 19:28Speaker 1: they're not any further than third, which means they don't
- 19:31Speaker 1: really need a first round pick to insert into that
- 19:34Speaker 1: lineup offensively or defensively. That affords you the ability to
- 19:39Speaker 1: take a quarterback and a project to somebody that you're
- 19:42Speaker 1: just going to park on the bench. We would also
- 19:44Speaker 1: say that there is no but there's no creative But
- 19:47Speaker 1: that's your pick. I mean, I get it. But if
- 19:49Speaker 1: maybe they try, there's no guarantee that you can trade
- 19:53Speaker 1: we we have no We have no idea. If they
- 19:56Speaker 1: were on the phone. Sometimes you can want to trade
- 19:59Speaker 1: back and you're not able too. Maybe the Bills weren't
- 20:01Speaker 1: answering because they were moving all around. The Other thing
- 20:05Speaker 1: is we know how important quarterback is and that there
- 20:08Speaker 1: is no position that's more valuable. If this pick does hit,
- 20:11Speaker 1: but Stafford still has many years left, you could still
- 20:14Speaker 1: potentially get some value for that in the trade market
- 20:18Speaker 1: if you were to ever see the light of day.
- 20:20Speaker 1: The most important thing, though, is that Matt Stafford is
- 20:25Speaker 1: a thirty eight year old quarterback with back issues. If
- 20:28Speaker 1: you think that your team is good enough to win
- 20:32Speaker 1: a Super Bowl, backup quarterback is a position that you
- 20:35Speaker 1: have to have solidified for the now. So that's important
- 20:38Speaker 1: for this year. It's also important moving forward. This guy's
- 20:41Speaker 1: going to be forty soon with back issues. I don't
- 20:43Speaker 1: think Matt Stafford has much time left and the Rams
- 20:46Speaker 1: never picking the first round, this might be the only
- 20:48Speaker 1: opportunity issue are about.
- 20:50Speaker 2: To get work. This whole thing is about to be
- 20:53Speaker 2: on his back.
- 20:55Speaker 3: And also the price it's at thirteen.
- 20:57Speaker 6: Like you say no one was answering and you were
- 20:59Speaker 6: about to take Bennett, you could you could have traded
- 21:02Speaker 6: that picked anyone.
- 21:02Speaker 5: You do have to take a huge discount, Like say
- 21:04Speaker 5: no one wanted to trade up. You could just say like, here, dude,
- 21:08Speaker 5: I'll give you an ext Like you could offer a
- 21:10Speaker 5: very very good deal to move back to twenty five
- 21:13Speaker 5: and then if if Simpson's not there, then fine, and
- 21:18Speaker 5: then if he is, great, like you have to do something.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Thirteen is such an overreach And yeah, I just think
- 21:24Speaker 5: and it goes against everything that this organization was and
- 21:28Speaker 5: what they did and going for a super Bowl and
- 21:29Speaker 5: they're right there.
- 21:31Speaker 3: And if you want to start this year the Rams are.
- 21:35Speaker 5: They're not winning the Super Bowl.
- 21:37Speaker 3: Ty.
- 21:37Speaker 5: I will promise you this. I am wrong all the time,
- 21:40Speaker 5: but I won't be wrong about this.
- 21:41Speaker 6: If Matt Stafford's back gives out in week two and
- 21:44Speaker 6: Ty Simpson has to start, I promise you the Rams
- 21:48Speaker 6: will not win the super Bowl. So like, I don't
- 21:50Speaker 6: care about that. This is a win now roster and
- 21:54Speaker 6: that was a just an asinine draft pick.
- 21:58Speaker 1: In my opinions, I tend to agree. I just think
- 22:01Speaker 1: somebody had to play Devil's advocation.
- 22:03Speaker 4: I get to know.
- 22:04Speaker 5: They're good counter points, but like, if ty Senson has
- 22:06Speaker 5: to start for the Rams this year, they're not won
- 22:09Speaker 5: the Super Bowl.
- 22:09Speaker 1: So like, okay, so I think we would all agree
- 22:13Speaker 1: that that was probably the worst pick in round one.
- 22:15Speaker 1: What was the best pick in round one? Kendra? Where
- 22:18Speaker 1: did you look and say, Man, this this team just
- 22:22Speaker 1: fucking nailed it.
- 22:24Speaker 4: I hate to say it, but I've loved Juderian Price
- 22:28Speaker 4: to Seattle.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I really think that they the rich got richer with that.
- 22:32Speaker 4: I know that he was, you know, the second head
- 22:34Speaker 4: of that monster there, but they replaced what they needed
- 22:37Speaker 4: to replace, and I think that they are still a
- 22:39Speaker 4: super Bowl caliber team. Probably now that the Rams really
- 22:43Speaker 4: fucked up their pick, Seattle might run it back, to
- 22:45Speaker 4: be honest, if they can continue to get production out
- 22:48Speaker 4: of Sam Darnald and he doesn't regress into Jet Sam
- 22:50Speaker 4: Darnald or start seeing ghosts again, Like, they could run
- 22:53Speaker 4: it back. And I'm so serious, like, I know that
- 22:56Speaker 4: it's insane to say that I think the best pick
- 22:58Speaker 4: of the draft was the last pick of the draft.
- 23:00Speaker 4: But truly I think the rich Gar Richard and my Giants,
- 23:03Speaker 4: my Giants eight.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Down the the I think the move it was like
- 23:10Speaker 1: a combo move for Seattle and that they didn't pay
- 23:13Speaker 1: the Super Bowl MVP. They didn't fall into that honey trap.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And then they just immediately replaced him with a running
- 23:20Speaker 1: back that might be just as good as Kenneth Walker
- 23:22Speaker 1: engineering price, so it was that it was that double
- 23:25Speaker 1: value move that they made.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Can they get the fifth year on him? Like if
- 23:29Speaker 4: he is good? Okay, well running back, I.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Think the fifth year is more is even more valuable
- 23:33Speaker 1: for running back than for quarterrack because if a quarterback
- 23:37Speaker 1: is so it's so good that you nailed the pick,
- 23:40Speaker 1: the fifth year doesn't matter. You're just gonna extend the guy.
- 23:43Speaker 1: And if you need the fifth year, chances are yet
- 23:45Speaker 1: the pick wrong like c J. Stroud, So uh, I
- 23:49Speaker 1: think from Kravits, Yes, uh, I think the Cowboys nailed it.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I really liked their draft. They had two picks in
- 23:59Speaker 1: the first round. Kaylee Downs, I was so mad that
- 24:02Speaker 1: the Dolphins traded back one spot so that they could
- 24:05Speaker 1: take a four hundred pound compulsive eater. Awfulkyle Lawrence using
- 24:12Speaker 1: the B word for Brandon, I said, I hate him,
- 24:17Speaker 1: the Dolphins him, and I was so pissed. Whenever part
- 24:20Speaker 1: of your analysis is when this guy's dialed in, he's great. No,
- 24:24Speaker 1: I want the guy who's always dialed in, not the
- 24:27Speaker 1: guy who's good when he's dialed in.
- 24:29Speaker 5: I sadly he's gonna rot but rott in Miami. But
- 24:33Speaker 5: I do think he gives me uh Quinnon Mitchell vibes,
- 24:37Speaker 5: but get I'm sorry, Krabits.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Can you rate the Dolphins draft last night like a
- 24:42Speaker 2: to f uh?
- 24:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 24:45Speaker 1: I think it's the C minus. I agree with Stuckey.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I really like Chris Johnson out of San Diego State,
- 24:50Speaker 1: captain on defense type. He had four picks last year.
- 24:53Speaker 1: The scouts like the speed instincts. He's got all that
- 24:57Speaker 1: to be a prototopic Ton.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Now, well, right, what about your Falcons.
- 25:02Speaker 1: I didn't have a pick, but yeah, they didn't pick
- 25:04Speaker 1: in the first round.
- 25:05Speaker 5: I didn't do anything with that.
- 25:06Speaker 1: We just laid it. We just laid in the cut
- 25:08Speaker 1: last night. This Falcons nation, I give him a C minus.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I mean, they didn't need to draft an offensive lineman.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I just don't like the fact that they passed up
- 25:19Speaker 1: on the person that I thought was the most talented
- 25:21Speaker 1: player in the draft in Caleb Downs. To draft someone
- 25:24Speaker 1: who has weight issues probably not that smart. I liked
- 25:27Speaker 1: the Ravens pick of Iwani am I pronouncing his name right, Stucky.
- 25:34Speaker 1: That was so close if they took an offensive line
- 25:39Speaker 1: everyone had that.
- 25:40Speaker 6: Head mocked to the Ravens. It was the safe pick.
- 25:43Speaker 6: He is a very high floor. Like if you look
- 25:45Speaker 6: at the the hit rate, center is like the highest
- 25:48Speaker 6: hit rate of first round picks. If you draft the
- 25:50Speaker 6: center in the first round, especially like top twenty, they're
- 25:54Speaker 6: usually just going to be I mean, look at the Ravens.
- 25:57Speaker 5: He's no longer there.
- 25:57Speaker 6: But but that was one of the reasons they lost
- 25:59Speaker 6: them for down lender Baum. They had questions in the interior.
- 26:03Speaker 6: You got a guy with a very high floor.
- 26:04Speaker 5: Kind of boring, but.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Uh, the offensive line draft picks should be boring.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Yeah, and it was indeed, so I get it.
- 26:13Speaker 6: That was one of the least surprising first round picks,
- 26:15Speaker 6: but it made a lot of sense. Uh, you mentioned
- 26:18Speaker 6: that you liked Kenji. You liked the Seattle Seattle's pick.
- 26:23Speaker 6: I would disagree that what if Sam Donald gets hurt,
- 26:26Speaker 6: why why not drafted quarterback? So draft the quarterback just
- 26:32Speaker 6: in case.
- 26:32Speaker 1: They already did that stuck. His name is Jalen Milroe.
- 26:35Speaker 1: They got the other one.
- 26:37Speaker 6: I will not tolerate Drew lock slander on this podcast.
- 26:42Speaker 6: But Evan, how about you?
- 26:46Speaker 3: Uh? I agree? I like the Downs pick at eleven.
- 26:48Speaker 7: I feel like they got duped a little bit by
- 26:50Speaker 7: moving down with Miami, and they probably could have grabbed
- 26:53Speaker 7: him there, but maybe Miami would have. So maybe drafting
- 26:56Speaker 7: moving down for that slot where everyone loved Downs anyway, uh,
- 27:00Speaker 7: probably could be a winner. I think Baine in fifteen.
- 27:03Speaker 7: Obviously there's issues there. You know, there's all sorts of
- 27:06Speaker 7: different things with Bain. But I feel like getting him
- 27:08Speaker 7: maybe six slots or so after some people thought he
- 27:11Speaker 7: should have gone is some pretty good podcast. But the
- 27:15Speaker 7: thing is is like, yeah, we get that, but getting
- 27:18Speaker 7: him after there is good. I don't know what to
- 27:24Speaker 7: make Yeah, I don't know what to make of it.
- 27:26Speaker 7: I like him as a prospect. I think he's a
- 27:28Speaker 7: really good player, you know, I think he's good. I
- 27:31Speaker 7: think there are issues there when you look at the
- 27:32Speaker 7: data of like where he could end up. But I
- 27:35Speaker 7: think at fifteen you've got no issues.
- 27:38Speaker 1: In general, I think top ten is when you want
- 27:41Speaker 1: production and measurables to marry up. If you're gonna take
- 27:44Speaker 1: somebody after the after the top ten, I either want
- 27:50Speaker 1: just a massive raw project who's a freak, or I
- 27:53Speaker 1: want production because you're probably not, especially in a draft
- 27:57Speaker 1: it's considered weak. You're not going to get a lot
- 27:58Speaker 1: of marriage of the two. Okay, what are productive? It
- 28:01Speaker 1: was one of the best edge rushers in college football?
- 28:03Speaker 4: Yeah, what do we think about the Cardinals and Jeremiah
- 28:06Speaker 4: loved because I am very much in the camp that
- 28:08Speaker 4: if you take a running back that high, you're cursed.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I think the owner made the pick. I think that
- 28:13Speaker 1: was a marketing move. And for the Cardinals, there's such
- 28:16Speaker 1: a mess that I don't hate it.
- 28:18Speaker 5: I guess now, like there's there's so many other holes
- 28:22Speaker 5: on your roster.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Like here's the question.
- 28:24Speaker 5: Running back at three is just bananas to me?
- 28:26Speaker 3: And what did you want them to do? So?
- 28:28Speaker 7: Given Bay, so you wanted to trade Okay, so you
- 28:32Speaker 7: wanted rees you rather than trade back, But like, who
- 28:35Speaker 7: was who was the player? You think that would have
- 28:37Speaker 7: you would have liked them to take if they traded back.
- 28:39Speaker 7: Just hypothetical, any player that you like.
- 28:42Speaker 4: They could have traded back to get Sonny Styles or
- 28:44Speaker 4: like any Caleb Downs, any of those kinds.
- 28:48Speaker 6: Just a high upside defensive player, like the dude. Their
- 28:50Speaker 6: defense is a mess. They have some central corner, but
- 28:53Speaker 6: they have so many holes on the defense.
- 28:55Speaker 3: You know who.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Actually debatably and this might be a hot take, I
- 28:59Speaker 4: thought it was kind of a weird pick.
- 29:03Speaker 2: The theenam in thing for the Bears.
- 29:05Speaker 4: I think that, like, obviously they had to go defense,
- 29:08Speaker 4: but they can take the ball away. You need to
- 29:10Speaker 4: add to the trenches, your linebacker position, anything like that.
- 29:13Speaker 4: I thought that they were actually a huge loser last night.
- 29:18Speaker 5: In at twenty five, though he was basically mocked to
- 29:22Speaker 5: Minnesota by everyone in the world, right the same way
- 29:25Speaker 5: that Yoana was to Baltimore. So at twenty five, I
- 29:32Speaker 5: think Demon has like a very, very very high floor.
- 29:35Speaker 5: So I actually liked that pick. But yeah, there's a
- 29:38Speaker 5: I like what the Bears did. My the other picks
- 29:42Speaker 5: that I really really liked.
- 29:43Speaker 6: I agree with Evan that Baying at fifteen, I thought
- 29:47Speaker 6: he was the best friend on the board at the time,
- 29:48Speaker 6: and he fit a huge need.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Like, so, he's already their best edge rusher, isn't he?
- 29:54Speaker 1: What's that he's already their best edge rusher.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Yeah? That was the tip had no.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Edge drops last year, so I I thought that was
- 30:00Speaker 5: a great pick.
- 30:00Speaker 6: I'm also a big We talked about our most underrated
- 30:05Speaker 6: draft prospects or guys that we like.
- 30:07Speaker 5: Caleb Banks was one that I mentioned.
- 30:09Speaker 6: Yeah, people will say that, you know, Minnesota reached Tournam
- 30:12Speaker 6: at eighteen, but if he's healthy, they will not regret
- 30:16Speaker 6: that pick.
- 30:16Speaker 5: And then I mean that the Eagles getting Lemon at twenty.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Yeah, can we talk about that drama again?
- 30:24Speaker 6: Would would they didn't trade with the Cowboys to get
- 30:27Speaker 6: DeVante Smith a couple of years ago?
- 30:29Speaker 3: Yeah, same situation too.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I'm surprised they pick up the phone and talk to
- 30:32Speaker 1: each other. Kendrick, can you explain what happened in this situation?
- 30:37Speaker 2: I think what happened was this. I honestly don't know.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I really I wish that I did, but the way
- 30:44Speaker 4: that this has been reported was very confusing. I think
- 30:47Speaker 4: that mackay Lemon was under the impression that the Steelers
- 30:49Speaker 4: had drafted him, and then it comes around that the
- 30:52Speaker 4: Eagles traded wound up to I don't know. I don't know,
- 30:54Speaker 4: but like the drama of that situation that came out
- 30:57Speaker 4: this morning, I don't know how things like this happen.
- 31:01Speaker 6: Yeah, Brett, you're saying, no one's maybe no one is
- 31:03Speaker 6: picking up the phone for these trades. But the Eagles
- 31:06Speaker 6: and Cowboys are trading with each other, so every.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Pick is different. Though he trades.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Bills also traded in division. Like, what is going on?
- 31:14Speaker 2: Are we all just like kissing each other on the forehead?
- 31:16Speaker 3: Now?
- 31:16Speaker 2: What happened to?
- 31:17Speaker 5: I just got a text, But I just got a
- 31:18Speaker 5: text by the Bills just traded that their first second
- 31:21Speaker 5: round pick again.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Again.
- 31:24Speaker 5: No, I'm kidding. They seven times believable.
- 31:28Speaker 7: The thing I think, the thing that's crazy about the
- 31:30Speaker 7: Steelers is they must have assumed that Dallas was on
- 31:33Speaker 7: the clock and they weren't going to draft a wide
- 31:36Speaker 7: receiver so that they had the avenue or the alley
- 31:40Speaker 7: to take Lemon next. And they just weren't aware of
- 31:43Speaker 7: the situation. That's and that's my assumption. Like they looked
- 31:46Speaker 7: at the you know, the board and said, all right,
- 31:48Speaker 7: Dallas is up. They're going to do whatever they they've
- 31:49Speaker 7: got to do. And didn't see Philly. Yeah that's a guess.
- 31:54Speaker 7: I could see that.
- 31:55Speaker 6: I also could see buff With Buffalo, they might have
- 31:58Speaker 6: went receiver, they might have went safety, and then concepts
- 32:02Speaker 6: you own, and then Thieneman went and then they trade
- 32:04Speaker 6: it back and then they trade it back again. But
- 32:07Speaker 6: my favorite team for the first one, I'll say it's
- 32:09Speaker 6: something nice about a team. Mm hm is I have
- 32:12Speaker 6: no credibility talking about this team. But the Titans.
- 32:15Speaker 5: I mean, they got Ohio state wide receiver and which
- 32:19Speaker 5: is and they got a weapon for cam Ward seems
- 32:22Speaker 5: like it's He's Carnel Tate's a can't miss premium positions.
- 32:26Speaker 2: This is a giant past I can't miss.
- 32:28Speaker 6: And then they got Keldric falk whole I love. I
- 32:30Speaker 6: think he's a huge upside. I think he really could
- 32:33Speaker 6: fit in solids D. He's got like Armstead upside I
- 32:36Speaker 6: think can be it puts on some weight, he can
- 32:40Speaker 6: you can move him around.
- 32:41Speaker 5: Uh So, after the Titans crushed the draft with two picks.
- 32:44Speaker 6: By the way, my question, I don't know if Evan
- 32:46Speaker 6: will know this, I doubt it, But can you imagine
- 32:51Speaker 6: let's say four years ago, what odds you would have
- 32:55Speaker 6: gotten for two running backs from the same college going
- 32:59Speaker 6: in the first round.
- 33:00Speaker 5: That's insane, Like with running has it ever been done
- 33:03Speaker 5: with running backs get drafted?
- 33:05Speaker 3: And has ever been done? Right?
- 33:07Speaker 1: I do?
- 33:08Speaker 3: That was my question for you.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Has it ever been done?
- 33:11Speaker 3: Maybe?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Cadillac Williams running.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Did they both go in the first round?
- 33:17Speaker 1: I think they did?
- 33:18Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, but same year?
- 33:21Speaker 1: I think it was the same year.
- 33:24Speaker 3: I thought so. I think I think he's right.
- 33:26Speaker 5: I was gonna say the other Ronnie Brown went like
- 33:29Speaker 5: second overall.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I think yeah, he was. It was early and then
- 33:32Speaker 1: that was like in the twenties.
- 33:34Speaker 5: I think I thought Cadillac could have went the second
- 33:36Speaker 5: early second one. Maybe I'm like, maybe I'm wrong. I'll
- 33:39Speaker 5: say they both Yeah, they both went two thousand and five. Uh,
- 33:44Speaker 5: I mean Cadillac was five overall? What was Ronnie Brown?
- 33:47Speaker 1: Oh, he would have been like two or three and
- 33:49Speaker 1: he was two.
- 33:50Speaker 5: Holy Moly. Shout out to the Wildcat, uh for a
- 33:56Speaker 5: gift for pulling them.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I was gonna say that my two his favorites
- 34:00Speaker 4: for personal reasons because I'm an Auburn gal. Keldric Falk
- 34:03Speaker 4: obviously going to Tennessee. I have to hate him now
- 34:05Speaker 4: and that sucks for me. But the other thing that
- 34:07Speaker 4: I hated, as far as like a personal standpoint, Casey
- 34:10Speaker 4: Concepcione going to Cleveland is so tragic and so sad,
- 34:14Speaker 4: and I wanted to cry for him because I love
- 34:16Speaker 4: him as a person, and that absolutely sucks.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I thought the Browns had a great draft. I've thought
- 34:21Speaker 1: that they've had great drafts in the past and it
- 34:23Speaker 1: doesn't really amount too much. But they got Spencer Fono
- 34:27Speaker 1: out of Utah as well, so they did well for themselves.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I just I tend to stop short of giving them
- 34:33Speaker 1: too much credit because it rarely becomes anything.
- 34:36Speaker 5: The Browns had a terrible draft. You no, actually the Browns,
- 34:38Speaker 5: So yeah, just as key, everything will be bad.
- 34:43Speaker 7: One pick I hated at the bottom of mine was
- 34:46Speaker 7: Rutledge from the Texans. I'm just not a huge fan
- 34:49Speaker 7: of him as a prospect, so I felt like that
- 34:52Speaker 7: was a bit of a reach with a bunch of
- 34:53Speaker 7: other players around.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Him, So that was one of my bad.
- 34:57Speaker 2: I'll take it.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Yeah, they need some help on the offense line, but
- 35:00Speaker 1: a little bit want want on that. We do have
- 35:04Speaker 1: several teams that have yet to make a draft pick
- 35:06Speaker 1: the forty nine Ers, the Bills, Bengals, Colts, Falcons, My Falcons, Packers, Jags,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and the Broncos. Before we plant our flag on a
- 35:16Speaker 1: round two pick, Kendra, what about what are you hearing
- 35:18Speaker 1: in your neck of the woods for what went down
- 35:21Speaker 1: with the Patriots with Lomu at the end of the draft.
- 35:25Speaker 4: I have to say he has to be pro bowler
- 35:29Speaker 4: or all pro because of the video that was like
- 35:32Speaker 4: played on the big board of him in that like
- 35:34Speaker 4: little twirl dance he did. Otherwise that's going to come
- 35:36Speaker 4: back to haunt him the same way that like Kaylevon
- 35:38Speaker 4: Chase on Beach workout haunted him. I think that the
- 35:43Speaker 4: big question here is obviously Morgan Moses is eight thousand
- 35:47Speaker 4: years old, so it's probably a pick to replace him
- 35:50Speaker 4: and not Will Campbell. But it goes back to my
- 35:52Speaker 4: point yesterday of there's no way that they are not
- 35:55Speaker 4: going to give Will Campbell some reps even in practice
- 35:58Speaker 4: or something at guard after this, in my opinion, just
- 36:01Speaker 4: because how could you not? And I don't believe anything
- 36:03Speaker 4: that comes out of Mike Brabel's mouth anymore. So I
- 36:07Speaker 4: get the Morgan Moses is eight thousand years old. However,
- 36:11Speaker 4: I think that unless they go out there and draft
- 36:13Speaker 4: a guard, the conversation has to be switched.
- 36:15Speaker 2: To that a little bit.
- 36:16Speaker 4: If they go out there and they take a guard,
- 36:17Speaker 4: you know, day two, day three, whatever, fine, but the
- 36:21Speaker 4: conversation needs to be had here.
- 36:24Speaker 2: And as far as the Jags go, I have a future.
- 36:27Speaker 4: That I gave out a couple of weeks ago for
- 36:28Speaker 4: them to take a linebacker with their first pick, like
- 36:31Speaker 4: four to one or something like that, because Paul Losny's
- 36:34Speaker 4: given out the draft pick and they obviously need to
- 36:36Speaker 4: replace Devin Lloyd's production. So if you're looking for a
- 36:39Speaker 4: little bit of a long shot, not sure if that's
- 36:41Speaker 4: still there, but that's where I'm at with the Patriots
- 36:44Speaker 4: and jagging off.
- 36:45Speaker 3: That's a fun ben it is.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I would suggest tailing that Kendras. I don't think she's
- 36:51Speaker 1: missed yet.
- 36:52Speaker 2: They have my sidique. I had fifteen and a half.
- 36:55Speaker 4: You had the question, what was the worst miss you
- 36:58Speaker 4: had last night? I had him fifty and a half
- 37:00Speaker 4: and he goes sixteen and I was pissed.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I used to.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Devin Lloyd is a panther, by the way, that has
- 37:07Speaker 5: to Yeah, that is weird.
- 37:08Speaker 4: That has to just well, it's crazy because as soon
- 37:12Speaker 4: as he got traded, my spider started to shot out.
- 37:15Speaker 4: My spider, Devin Lloyd started to get old. And now
- 37:17Speaker 4: she's losing her grip and falling off the walls of
- 37:19Speaker 4: her cage.
- 37:19Speaker 1: So I hear that it's a bad sign in the
- 37:22Speaker 1: Spider Kingdom.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Alright, Pion, Well, she's not dead, but she's soon to be, probably.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Ohadarren mcfad and Felix Jones. By the way, Also, I
- 37:32Speaker 5: think that's.
- 37:33Speaker 7: The first time that they top two running backs see
- 37:37Speaker 7: in school first round.
- 37:37Speaker 5: And it's also like it's just crazier that in twenty
- 37:40Speaker 5: twenty six, right, like it's just burning running backs used
- 37:43Speaker 5: to be much more common.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Running backs are back. Two high safeties have brought running
- 37:47Speaker 1: backs back, and his team's now just running the they're
- 37:49Speaker 1: running the ball more than ever. Is that they can't
- 37:51Speaker 1: throw the ball down the field. So it's everything in
- 37:54Speaker 1: football is sick. Look, I'm not surprised to see that.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Was there anything else they want to do?
- 38:01Speaker 5: We're just talking about before Jacks.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Anything else before we get to the Oh, this is
- 38:13Speaker 1: one that I wanted to bring up. Jordan tyson. Did
- 38:15Speaker 1: you see the snot flying out of that guy's face? Yes,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I just don't I love.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Don't even start with me, don't I don't cry.
- 38:23Speaker 1: No, I have no issue. I think it's it's endearing
- 38:26Speaker 1: with tears. But I think the way you cry, I
- 38:28Speaker 1: will judge you for the way that you cry more
- 38:30Speaker 1: than the act of crying. And this guy was like
- 38:33Speaker 1: spitting snot from his face. Cry. I didn't say I
- 38:36Speaker 1: wouldn't cry. That wasn't the I would just keep your
- 38:39Speaker 1: composure a little bit.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Good cry is good for you, good solid.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Like a good solid man cry, not just like you know,
- 38:46Speaker 1: he was crying like a like a four year old.
- 38:48Speaker 5: I just got to go back to Kendri said she
- 38:49Speaker 5: doesn't trust anything that Rabel says.
- 38:51Speaker 6: But like, how how you have to trust the guy
- 38:54Speaker 6: who says he has to be with his family and
- 38:56Speaker 6: get help and can't be with the team for day
- 38:59Speaker 6: for the set and round pick of the team, family takes.
- 39:02Speaker 5: A back seat for there.
- 39:05Speaker 2: He's available via the phone, though. Don't worry.
- 39:07Speaker 6: He said, yeah, look, I gotta go get help and
- 39:10Speaker 6: be with my family. You guys make the seventh round pick.
- 39:13Speaker 4: I literally said yesterday because more of this crap was
- 39:16Speaker 4: going to come out and then we get off of
- 39:17Speaker 4: our show and boom kissing.
- 39:20Speaker 1: At the bar. It feel it does feel targeted. The
- 39:24Speaker 1: timing of this isle knows.
- 39:27Speaker 5: What else is, who else is holding what pictures there.
- 39:32Speaker 2: To come out for deleting her Twitter?
- 39:35Speaker 5: Yeah that right after he.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Also herself he named Michael. I want to leave the
- 39:41Speaker 4: kids out of it, but holy crap, I can't go there.
- 39:44Speaker 1: But yeah, that is anyway, it's just a coincidence. Let's uh,
- 39:50Speaker 1: let's make a selection for today round two. We're gonna
- 39:53Speaker 1: go one of the first three picks thirty three, thirty
- 39:56Speaker 1: four or thirty five. As we plant the flag present
- 40:00Speaker 1: by draft kings might flag.
- 40:03Speaker 5: And it set up I'm trying to plant my flag here.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Okay, you're really.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Planning your flag in that thick Evan. Let's start with you.
- 40:09Speaker 1: What's your bet for round two?
- 40:12Speaker 3: I mean I would probably go so.
- 40:14Speaker 7: I liked Boston at plus four fifty at thirty three,
- 40:18Speaker 7: but I think I'm gonna go longer here.
- 40:19Speaker 3: My pick is going to be a thirty five with
- 40:21Speaker 3: the bills.
- 40:22Speaker 7: Hopefully they keep the damn pick, but I think they're
- 40:25Speaker 7: gonna go corner and There's a lot of options here.
- 40:27Speaker 7: You can go Hood, McCoy, you can even go Stuke's
- 40:31Speaker 7: like down the list, I would probably go Hood, So
- 40:33Speaker 7: I'll go Colton Hood thirty five at ten to one.
- 40:38Speaker 3: I see in some books that would be probably the
- 40:40Speaker 3: longer ones.
- 40:41Speaker 7: Maybe I see plus eight fifty at DraftKings, but I
- 40:44Speaker 7: do see if you shop a little ten to one. So,
- 40:46Speaker 7: but I think corner there at thirty five is an
- 40:48Speaker 7: interesting thought.
- 40:49Speaker 5: Got piggyback off that I'm gonna go with Stuke set
- 40:51Speaker 5: thirty five, assuming the Bills keep that. If I was
- 40:55Speaker 5: the Bills, I would have taken him at what were
- 40:58Speaker 5: they traded back to twenty eight? I was like, take Stukes.
- 41:01Speaker 6: That's that's what they are the last couple of drafts.
- 41:03Speaker 6: They are building a wall on that defense up front,
- 41:08Speaker 6: but they need something on the back end. And I said,
- 41:12Speaker 6: the first name that I mentioned on our podcast when
- 41:15Speaker 6: we talked about the five guys that we think are
- 41:17Speaker 6: undervalued or are going to be just slam dunk pros,
- 41:20Speaker 6: Stukes was number one for me. He's so versatile, even
- 41:24Speaker 6: worry vibes. You can He's played outside, he can play inside,
- 41:27Speaker 6: he play safety, play slot. He played big Nickel. He
- 41:30Speaker 6: can defend the run, and you can do so many
- 41:32Speaker 6: things with him. Be a perfect fit for Buffalo.
- 41:36Speaker 5: If they if they draft Stukes, I'm all in on
- 41:39Speaker 5: Buffalo this year. Well, draftings you can get.
- 41:43Speaker 7: Evan will be saying, oh, as I say, watching them
- 41:46Speaker 7: take McCoy, since we've got it, we're going to trade back.
- 41:48Speaker 5: And then take him at like thirty nine.
- 41:51Speaker 7: So I see, I see Stukes at twenty seven to
- 41:53Speaker 7: one if you shop around at thirty five.
- 41:55Speaker 3: So not likely, but yeah, I think it's very too
- 41:59Speaker 3: long shot.
- 42:00Speaker 1: All right, we have a couple of bets on the
- 42:02Speaker 1: Bills at thirty five. Kendra, where are you at?
- 42:06Speaker 4: I gave you at a future on my other show
- 42:07Speaker 4: last week of the forty nine ers to take a
- 42:09Speaker 4: receiver with their first pick.
- 42:11Speaker 2: So I am gonna rock with that.
- 42:14Speaker 4: I'm gonna say Boston to the forty nine ers at
- 42:16Speaker 4: that slot, just to piggyback off of that future.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Evan and I were talking.
- 42:20Speaker 4: Before the show, though, I wouldn't say the Cardinals to
- 42:23Speaker 4: take Carson Beck with their next pick, just them to
- 42:26Speaker 4: take him overall, because I think that he fits kind
- 42:29Speaker 4: of their offense better than the other options.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Still available. So if that's something that you like, I
- 42:33Speaker 2: would do that as well.
- 42:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with the forty nine ers as well.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I would love to see a wide receiver fly off
- 42:40Speaker 1: the board first. That's certainly a lot more entertaining than
- 42:43Speaker 1: where I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go with the most
- 42:44Speaker 1: boring option available. Chase basantis Offensive Guard Texas A and
- 42:49Speaker 1: M plus six hundred goes to the forty nine ers
- 42:51Speaker 1: first pick off the board tonight. They need help on
- 42:54Speaker 1: the O line getting a little long in the tooth there,
- 42:56Speaker 1: So I'll at Kendra and everybody else, Chase Boston and
- 43:00Speaker 1: I'll I'm gonna shore up the hog mollies.
- 43:03Speaker 5: That right, your falcons to take a forty eight.
- 43:06Speaker 1: You know, we're still we're still hard at work in
- 43:09Speaker 1: the in the war room trying to figure that out.
- 43:11Speaker 1: So we'll.
- 43:14Speaker 5: We'll evaluate the falcons craft.
- 43:16Speaker 1: I like to like to keep that close to the best.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Can we get a falcons beat right or on? Just
- 43:20Speaker 1: so I can they can geek out?
- 43:22Speaker 5: Yes, you need to make that happen.
- 43:26Speaker 2: That's a great summer shell. That would be a great
- 43:30Speaker 2: summershell schedule at Gift.
