  Speaker 2: I want to offer you all some encouragement, because everybody needed.

  Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. You strike out on your goals,

  Speaker 2: you strike out on your aspirations, and so you strike out,

  Speaker 2: as it happens to all of us. Here it comes life.

  Speaker 2: Life just hits one of them bad notes as it

  Speaker 2: always does, as it always does for all of us,

  Speaker 2: for everybody. Now, when those bad notes happen, when the

  Speaker 2: haters come out of nowhere, when the setback comes up,

  Speaker 2: when when the eyut of nowhere appears, when now I

  Speaker 2: didn't see that coming comes.

  Speaker 1: Here's here's what you have to do.

  Speaker 2: Here is the thing that I have been teaching myself

  Speaker 2: for years that I used to not always understand. So

  Speaker 2: I'm trying to give it to you. You have to

  Speaker 2: be encouraged anyway. Now that's difficult, Okay, Steve, what you're

  Speaker 2: talking about? You just told me all this discouraging stuff

  Speaker 2: that can happen, and you said you got to be

  Speaker 2: encouraged anyway. Yeah, man, you have to, because what's happening

  Speaker 2: to you right now, the thing that you're going through
• 1:57
  Speaker 2: right now, the thing that everybody's going through right now.

  Speaker 1: Ain't nobody on smooth sailing. Man.

  Speaker 2: Everybody got something, and if they, if they don't smooth sailing,

  Speaker 2: just know this is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody.

  Speaker 2: It's just that this is life. This is how it

  Speaker 2: happens everybody. So please stop stop getting on the old

  Speaker 2: woe is Me bandwagon, the old lord?

  Speaker 1: Why met old lord?

  Speaker 2: Something always happened to me, something always happens to everybody.

  Speaker 2: But here's what you got to do. When you get

  Speaker 2: in moments like this. You got to be encouraged. You

  Speaker 2: got to remember in those times, in those times when

  Speaker 2: it's going wrong, you got to remember.

  Speaker 1: All that you've been through. You got to remember all

  Speaker 1: that you've come through.

  Speaker 2: You have to remember those other times when you felt
• 2:52
  Speaker 2: like this, and somehow, unexplainably you don't even really stop

  Speaker 2: to say nothing about it.

  Speaker 1: It just changed for you. And the problem that was

  Speaker 1: is no more.

  Speaker 2: And the situation that seems so insurmountable, you got over it.

  Speaker 2: You got around it. You got over it. Sometimes you

  Speaker 2: just got to slide right under it. Sometimes you got

  Speaker 2: to plow through it. But in those times when it's
• 3:26
  Speaker 2: discouraging for you, when you feel like giving up, those
• 3:30
  Speaker 2: are the test. Those are the moments that will determine
• 3:38
  Speaker 2: whether we make it or not.

  Speaker 1: I'll tell you one thing for sure.

  Speaker 2: If you give up in these moments, right here here
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: is a for show you'll never make it. That's unquestionably

  Speaker 2: the deal. If you give up in these dark times,

  Speaker 2: if you give up in these what you think is

  Speaker 2: insurmountable moments, if you turn back now here is the

  Speaker 2: one thousand percent.

  Speaker 1: For sure you ain't gonna make it. But there is

  Speaker 1: a bright side to this situation.

  Speaker 2: If you keep your head down, if you keep forging,

  Speaker 2: if you keep pressing on. Sometimes, if you just stand

  Speaker 2: there and sometimes get knocked to your knees, but if

  Speaker 2: you stay in that place, if you just stay there

  Speaker 2: and ride the storm out, my head is bloodied but unbowed.

  Speaker 2: If you can just stay there, if you consider in

  Speaker 2: that moment and ride it out, you will win. You

  Speaker 2: will pass the test, and you will get to move

  Speaker 2: on to the next level. But there is no next

  Speaker 2: level without a test. You can't get to grade six

  Speaker 2: without passing grade five. You can't be a senior without

  Speaker 2: first being a junior.

  Speaker 1: You can't graduate.

  Speaker 2: Without fulfilling the hours and requirements. You see, I don't

  Speaker 2: care what you do in life. Look at it. It's

  Speaker 2: all set up on levels. Well, you've got to accomplish
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: the thing before in order to get to the next level.

  Speaker 2: And when you've made those level accomplishments, you get to graduate.

  Speaker 2: Now you can go on and get a master's and
• 5:28
  Speaker 2: a pH d. You can go on and become rich.

  Speaker 2: You can go become wealthy, or you can go or
• 5:34
  Speaker 2: you can go somewhere and think yourself in another set
• 5:36
  Speaker 2: of circumstances. But you got to go through something to
• 5:39
  Speaker 2: get to something that ain't nothing free. So you can
• 5:43
  Speaker 2: stop that notion about being successful that's easy. Come on, man,
• 5:47
  Speaker 2: if it was easy, what we don't what we're talking about.

  Speaker 2: It is not easy. Stop thinking it is. It is difficult.

  Speaker 2: But I'll tell you what's even more difficult than because

  Speaker 2: coming successful. You want to know what that is. Try

  Speaker 2: not being successful your whole life. That's hard. You are

  Speaker 2: listening to a person who has done them both been

  Speaker 2: successful and really really been not successful and I got

  Speaker 2: news for you. Both of them hard. But I would

  Speaker 2: rather deal with what it is to be something, to

  Speaker 2: make something out of myself, to force myself to go

  Speaker 2: to work when I don't feel like it. This morning

  Speaker 2: was a rough get up for me, but I got
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: up and I said thank you anyway. Never give up,

  Speaker 2: And I don't watch this dude to heed to mess
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: around and got close to me because he just never
• 6:43
  Speaker 2: gave up.

  Speaker 1: You can never ever give up. Never. It's not an option.

  Speaker 2: Giving up cannot be an option for you.

  Speaker 1: You cannot do that. It's out of the question.

  Speaker 2: It's inconceivable in your mind to quit, because to quit

  Speaker 2: is to what what you get when you quit nothing.

  Speaker 2: That is a reward for those who hang in there,

  Speaker 2: who never give up, who forge through, who see it through,

  Speaker 2: who get knocked down and get back up, who gets

  Speaker 2: trample but somehow gathers themselves and get back to your knees.

  Speaker 2: But stay in that place. Man, don't ever give up.

  Speaker 2: Don't let go be encouraged. Think of all you've been through,

  Speaker 2: Think of all you come through, Think of all He's
• 7:29
  Speaker 2: done for you.

  Speaker 1: Think of all the times you thought you wasn't gonna
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: make it.
• 7:33
  Speaker 2: But somehow, without you ever even saying thank you, he
• 7:36
  Speaker 2: got through.

  Speaker 1: He got you through it anyway. That's that thing called grace.

  Speaker 2: Now we kind of need that in our life. All
• 7:43
  Speaker 2: I will, all I need, is a little more grace.

  Speaker 2: You can't give God no money for grace, man. Grace
• 7:49
  Speaker 2: is absolutely free. It's available to everybody, but you can't
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: get none if you quit. Don't give up. I'll just
• 7:56
  Speaker 2: tell you that flat out.
