- 0:00You know, we're rounding down the end of school here.
- 0:02I know Pennsylvania, you guys are just a bad out of there.
- 0:06Oh, you have like two I mean two-ish days.
- 0:08It's something like that.
- 0:09You know, they're like they're really not full days.
- 0:10They're not like you're gonna do anything days.
- 0:13I'm actually on the fence about texting Gavin's tutor today because he has a field trip.
- 0:18Like we're filling days now.
- 0:19Oh, where is he going?
- 0:21I'm I gotta think it's Tanglewood, I think.
- 0:23I don't remember.
- 0:24I wanna go?
- 0:24I could have been in chaperone.
- 0:26God, I can't remember.
- 0:27You know, there's a wait, wait, wait.
- 0:28And why why are you not going?
- 0:29You go to everything.
- 0:30Oh, I it's sometimes I have to be like some other parents can chaperone.
- 0:34I've got to uh You don't want to hold the owl in your hand?
- 0:38No, I'm well I think they're going there.
- 0:39I can't remember where God.
- 0:41There's a I'm juggling a lot.
- 0:43Either way, all I know is I packed his lunch last night because you had to.
- 0:46You know, you can't what's in it?
- 0:48Yeah, uh a pizza.
- 0:49Gavin's he's not he's not a sandwich kid, so Oh, that's the elite lunch.
- 0:54Yeah.
- 0:55Did you leave him a little note?
- 0:56But it's uh no, but it's uh yeah.
- 0:59I've got so many questions.
- 1:00Do well.
- 1:01Uh but uh no, the thing about it is I I gotta work with Gavin on this.
- 1:06He's got a shall we say, not very expanded palette when it comes to a lot of foods.
- 1:10Like Liddy, I because I had to pack Gavin's lunch for his field trip today, you know I had to pack her lunch.
- 1:15Oh, very cute.
- 1:16Yeah, because you don't do that every day.
- 1:17No, she's she's easy.
- 1:19Yeah, I let him starve.
- 1:20I mean, I'm I'm thinking, you know, you guys you're on your own.
- 1:23I meant you buy they buy lunch.
- 1:24They get it at school most days.
- 1:26But Lydia is easy.
- 1:27She'll eat a sandwich, she'll eat whatever I put in it.
- 1:29Gavin, it's like, well, you you got pizza steak.
- 1:34He's not really yeah, and you can't really pack steak in a kid's lunch.
- 1:38Although a cold steak really hits the next day.
- 1:41Only when you're an adult.
- 1:42Yeah, maybe that's what it is.
- 1:43Because we're we just had steak recently.
- 1:46It doesn't work when you're a kid.
- 1:47Oh my gosh, so good.
- 1:48Yeah, they want it fresh or or nothing.
- 1:50The note thing was because when my mom would pack me a note, I always loved it.
- 1:54It was such a special she didn't do it that often.
- 1:57Because Gil only gets a little soft on certain days of the year.
- 2:00Yeah.
- 2:00And she would leave me a little note and it would just really touch my heart.
- 2:04The 32nd of the 14th month is when she gets uh soft on you.
- 2:08Yes, exactly.
- 2:09Exactly.
- 2:09Exactly.
- 2:10So uh, but that all being said, you know, we're we're at the point now.
- 2:13Schools are beginning to, shall we say, fill the days.
- 2:17I mean, I'll I'm not saying the learning, at least in New York, I'm not saying the learning's done.
- 2:21And we know some there's some testing still to do and things like that.
- 2:24Yeah.
- 2:25But you start seeing fewer of the big learning days.
- 2:28You start seeing more of the, well, let's just fill the day with something.
- 2:32And watch a movie, perhaps.
- 2:34That's what this teacher was doing.
- 2:35So she was uh, you know, she was doing her end of the year party.
- 2:38Boy, did she get roasted by one of the students uh in her class.
- 2:41Here you go.
- 2:42Today in fifth grade, the last day of fifth grade.
- 2:45Um, we do bingo, math bingo.
- 2:47I give away a bunch of prizes, snacks, drinks, trinkets, fidgets, stuffed animals, all of it.
- 2:52Um, and I have it set out on the table, a big old prize table.
- 2:56I think it looks awesome.
- 2:58My girl comes in, she goes, This is all you can afford.
- 3:04Man, I loved that's a core memory.
- 3:06I loved, we did bingo as a as a young kid too in school.
- 3:10What a great time.
- 3:11But I also, and now that that now that most of the people are in school, I feel like I can say this now.
- 3:16One of Zach's, actually Zach's best friend, is a teacher.
- 3:18Not here, it's like an hour-ish.
- 3:20He lives close to Lechworth.
- 3:21And he was saying the other day when he was over, he's like, honestly, those regions, those testings and all that happened at the beginning of June.
- 3:29What what else am I doing after that?
- 3:32Proof of my point! I should and I'm not gonna say that.
- 3:34Math bingo.
- 3:35Right, and he's like, he's like, What why are we still going to school after that?
- 3:39I think we should shift the calendar.
- 3:41I literally Oh my god, I've been saying this forever.
- 3:44I know, I know, but it was very interesting to hear a teacher because I thought teachers were like, oh, keep these little cherubs in school.
- 3:51No, he's like, get rid of this kid.
- 3:54Move him to the next grade.
- 3:56All right.
- 3:56And just let her cry.
- 3:59So we got tickets.
- 4:03Okay, this is Hootie, but it's Darius.
- 4:05Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:06He's gonna be at CMAC on Saturday.
- 4:07And and yes, you'll get the show in before, you know, the weather changes that people are thinking, like, it's gonna be cold and rainy.
- 4:14No, it's gonna be 86 and sunny.
- 4:16You're not gonna get thunderstorm till two in the morning.
- 4:18CMAC is one of the best venues, too.
- 4:20Oh my god, yes.
- 4:21Okay, so here's what happened.
- 4:22Very accessible bathrooms right by the tree line.
- 4:26One of my girlfriends, she goes to, she's this homegirl travels so much for work.
- 4:31And at least once a month she's traveling.
- 4:34And she'll travel to Atlanta and she'll travel to Cleveland and she goes the other day for this upgrade on her car.
- 4:42But she was they give her like your standard, whatever like the company pays for, which is like nothing.
- 4:47It's it's basically a festiva.
- 4:50She's like, no, I want the Bronco.
- 4:52So she and very attractive, by the way.
- 4:55She starts like the Bronco or her?
- 4:58Her.
- 4:58Oh, gotcha.
- 4:59And so maybe this was a factor in it.
- 5:01She starts crying, and she's like, You just don't understand.
- 5:05Like, I'm gonna be here for a long time.
- 5:07And I I was planning on like going to see like the Hoover Dam or wherever she was.
- 5:12I'm gonna see Niagara Falls, and I need to be able to get around.
- 5:15Yes, I'm gonna see the Hoover Dam that blocks Niagara Falls.
- 5:18I don't know what city she was in a dingle in.
- 5:20I'm kidding.
- 5:20So she cries about I and I've got do you see I have this huge, I have this huge suitcase, and I'm gonna, I'm also gonna do a little shopping at Ikea while I'm here.
- 5:29I need something bigger.
- 5:34And they give it to her.
- 5:36They gave her because she cried.
- 5:38Oh, it was a man behind the counter.
- 5:40Oh I never asked her that.
- 5:42It was not a guy, it was not because she was pretty.
- 5:44It was because we can't handle tears.
- 5:47We cannot use this this rips away all self-defense and ability to say no.
- 5:52It's like, no make it stop.
- 5:54You know what the best part is?
- 5:55I will do whatever it takes to make you stop crying.
- 5:57The best part is the celebratory FaceTime.
- 6:00She FaceTimes me and she's like, bitch, I just got a broker! Yeah, you were just crying and now you're Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:08No, this is she's she suckered this guy because you bring in the tears.
- 6:12I don't care.
- 6:13Take it, please leave, please leave.
- 6:15Scott, Scott, Scott's the man of the show.
- 6:17Oh.
- 6:17Cry for your Darius tickets.
- 6:19I want, I want drama.
- 6:21I want an Academy Award-winning performance.
- 6:24And you can either call it.
- 6:25Well, I'll give you four if it's the best.
- 6:27How about that?
- 6:27I don't, I can't, I can't do that.
- 6:29You don't have four?
- 6:30I don't think I do.
- 6:32Are you serious?
- 6:33You tell me you're like, I've got so many Darius tickets.
- 6:36Well, because we have 106 days of summer that we have to put them in.
- 6:40Don't do that to me.
- 6:41Okay.
- 6:42Not without me counting the inventory.
- 6:44Oh my god.
- 6:45Anyway.
- 6:45You're not gonna cry, are you?
- 6:46No.
- 6:47Jesus.
- 6:47No, but I can't.
- 6:48You'll get one ticket.
- 6:49We've got we have today, and then we have to give away Friday's tickets.
- 6:53I just don't have to tomorrow if somebody I mean, unless you're putting it in the other prize.
- 6:57Let me look.
- 6:58Okay.
- 6:59What other prize?
- 7:00Uh uh you just have the other prize.
- 7:01Oh, the 106 days of summer?
- 7:03Yeah.
- 7:03Okay, hold on.
- 7:04Ticketmaster's been taking long to uh open, by the way.
- 7:07Anyway, 607-732-9465.
- 7:11I want the Academy Award-winning cry.
- 7:13You're gonna get me in this place.
- 7:15Yes.
- 7:16That's great.
- 7:16Yes.
- 7:17Four Darius Rucker tickets at CMAC.
- 7:19And you might get two, you might get four, it depends.
- 7:22I'm not sure because I'm waiting for Ticketmaster to open up.
