- 0:34Speaker 3: to make you sm.
- 0:36Speaker 1: The indoors man.
- 0:40Speaker 2: What is happening? I'm Rob Bluntchrist and I'm big and
- 0:45Speaker 2: we are the evid Indoorsman.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Hello, ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Hello, Hello, Hello, I'm doing well.
- 0:55Speaker 3: You're so great. How are you? I thank you for asking.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Did you get to watch the entire Oscars that happened
- 1:03Speaker 2: the other night?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah? Pretty much the whole thing, Yes, last night in
- 1:08Speaker 3: our time. Yeah. I think I missed the first like
- 1:11Speaker 3: two minutes because it was it was starting a little
- 1:14Speaker 3: earlier than I anticipated. Thank you for the heads up
- 1:17Speaker 3: text that helped.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I only saw it because when we were at dinner
- 1:22Speaker 2: it said the Oscars are starting in twelve minutes and
- 1:25Speaker 2: I was like what, Yeah, So I missed the first
- 1:29Speaker 2: like half hour, I didn't get to see it.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Oh fun. Yeah, uh it was good man, it was enjoyable.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I love Conan. I think he's great. I know you
- 1:39Speaker 3: do as well. It's fan He's just wonderful. I have
- 1:44Speaker 3: like the same gripes I have every year where I'm like, okay,
- 1:49Speaker 3: but maybe we don't do a twelve minute James Bond's
- 1:52Speaker 3: song montage and we just let these people who are
- 1:56Speaker 3: celebrating one of the high points of their career finish
- 1:59Speaker 3: their damn speed. It's like, especially like all these folks
- 2:02Speaker 3: that English is in their first language and we want
- 2:05Speaker 3: it to be more international. I don't know. That drives
- 2:07Speaker 3: me crazy. I know that, like obviously, you know it's whatever.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I know people are probably sick of me saying that,
- 2:14Speaker 3: but I'm just like, can we just let these people
- 2:16Speaker 3: have their lovely emotional moments please?
- 2:18Speaker 2: Because however, now I totally agree with you with the
- 2:22Speaker 2: the James Vond thing. Yeah I was, but that opening
- 2:29Speaker 2: I did go back.
- 2:29Speaker 3: And wall opening was so yeah, I'm with you.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And that is one of the best, if not the best,
- 2:39Speaker 2: live vocal performances I've ever seen from Cynthia Revo.
- 2:43Speaker 3: She's incredible. I agree. I don't mean let's get rid
- 2:47Speaker 3: of all that. I just mean like some of the
- 2:49Speaker 3: stupid stick stuff like we don't need it, you know. Like,
- 2:53Speaker 3: but yes, that opening was like it made me be
- 2:57Speaker 3: like I want them to win every award. Yeah, which
- 3:02Speaker 3: ended up being anura but uh, as it turned out,
- 3:07Speaker 3: I wasn't mad at that. No, same same here. Yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 3: I don't know, it was. It was pretty fun though,
- 3:13Speaker 3: I mean I don't there wasn't anything like super crazy
- 3:16Speaker 3: that happened. Culkin was funny with his like I get
- 3:19Speaker 3: to have another baby thing like that was funny. And
- 3:22Speaker 3: then I can't remember who it was. Someone called back
- 3:26Speaker 3: to it later, a young lady and I don't remember
- 3:28Speaker 3: if she was screenplay or something, it doesn't matter. She
- 3:32Speaker 3: like turned to her partner or her working partner. I
- 3:35Speaker 3: don't think they were entwined romantically, but she was like, well,
- 3:40Speaker 3: I'm not gonna have your babies, but I do love
- 3:41Speaker 3: you and thank you for always you know, being next
- 3:44Speaker 3: to work that. I was like, that's a good callback.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Nice work. I liked it, I know, so it was.
- 3:48Speaker 3: It was fun though, the best bit of the night
- 3:51Speaker 3: was oh what is her name? From Thelma the older
- 3:55Speaker 3: gal June Squib that he was so funny. Who was
- 3:59Speaker 3: she with? I can't even think of it right now.
- 4:01Speaker 3: It was Scarjo, that's right, Scarjo and her and man.
- 4:04Speaker 2: That was cute.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I loved that little bit. She's like because it was makeup, right,
- 4:08Speaker 3: because she was like, and they did my makeup because
- 4:11Speaker 3: I'm actually and I can't remember the actor Bill scars Gard,
- 4:14Speaker 3: that's right, the guy who was it. She's like, yeah,
- 4:18Speaker 3: the Perfect Trinity or whatever, the Big Trio or whatever.
- 4:23Speaker 2: It was Penny Wise and June Squib at the Oscars.
- 4:29Speaker 3: The real June Squib is back home reading a book.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Like I just thought that was very silly and fun.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I liked it. So you caught most of it,
- 4:37Speaker 3: though it sounds like I got most of it.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And I went back and watched that, you know, this
- 4:41Speaker 2: Cynthia Revo thing. I got to see. The Adam Sandler
- 4:45Speaker 2: bit was funny.
- 4:46Speaker 3: That was funny.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that was good.
- 4:49Speaker 3: That like flew over my head. I thought it was
- 4:51Speaker 3: just an Adam Sandler bit and then I was like, oh,
- 4:54Speaker 3: the whole Ukrainian stuff that happened like that week, I
- 4:58Speaker 3: was like, I didn't even track that part of it.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I wasn't thinking about that either.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Yeah, and maybe it wasn't even meant to be that.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I was just like, I don't know, Sandler's always just weird. Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 3: yeah it worked perfect, I mean yeah, but yeah, that
- 5:13Speaker 3: was super funny.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Was Adam Sandler voice.
- 5:19Speaker 3: That was pretty wonderful. I did really really like that
- 5:21Speaker 3: a lot.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it was fun.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a bunch of fun moments. I mean,
- 5:24Speaker 3: there wasn't as many like big speeches that were you know,
- 5:28Speaker 3: like Kiwai Kwan you know, was like amazing, and I
- 5:33Speaker 3: just was like bawling the whole time. There was definitely
- 5:35Speaker 3: some tears ship, but.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Not Adrian Brodie was trying to have that and it
- 5:40Speaker 2: just it felt like he didn't know what he was
- 5:43Speaker 2: going to say. Yeah, and it was just making me uncomfortable.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yeah the whole time.
- 5:48Speaker 3: I also like, I understand that I'm I'm being confusing now.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I know. I just said, let's let them have their speech,
- 5:57Speaker 3: but they like they like telling them to shut off
- 6:00Speaker 3: the music. While I do think that's empowering, I am
- 6:02Speaker 3: like kind of a dick move a little bit, like, yeah,
- 6:06Speaker 3: you know, the producers are just trying to do their
- 6:08Speaker 3: job too, But I just think we should set it
- 6:11Speaker 3: up different. I'm a conundrum, but yeah, you really are.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I know.
- 6:16Speaker 3: There's no pleasing me unless it's with a movie. Have
- 6:19Speaker 3: you seen any movies lately, Rob, I have?
- 6:22Speaker 2: I have, Yes. The last one I saw was September five.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I just watched that too, right before the Oscars.
- 6:31Speaker 3: I did end up seeing that one kind of yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 3: funny movie, huh.
- 6:34Speaker 2: It was fun. Yeah. So for people who don't know,
- 6:37Speaker 2: it's about the seventy two Munich Olympics where Israeli athletes
- 6:42Speaker 2: were taken hostage. It focuses mainly on the American broadcasting
- 6:48Speaker 2: crew and how they covered this situation. Yeah, it was
- 6:53Speaker 2: one of the first time there. It was the first
- 6:55Speaker 2: time in history that a terrorist situation was happening live
- 6:59Speaker 2: on the news. I thought it was pretty great. It
- 7:03Speaker 2: was intense, a lot of anxiety. Peter Sarsguard is probably
- 7:07Speaker 2: the biggest name in the film, although you'd recognize John
- 7:11Speaker 2: Magero and Ben Chaplin. I found it to be a
- 7:15Speaker 2: really good plot. It was made well, It moved along
- 7:21Speaker 2: and I get why it was up for Best Screenplay.
- 7:27Speaker 2: It felt short. I think it was like right at
- 7:30Speaker 2: an hour and a half but that's fine. Like I'd
- 7:34Speaker 2: much rather it feel short than have it be too long.
- 7:39Speaker 2: So yeah, definitely worth checking out. It's currently on Paramount
- 7:42Speaker 2: Plus if anybody is interested in checking it out.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I enjoyed it. Yeah, I liked it too. Those like,
- 7:50Speaker 3: you know, sort of seeing an event from the sidelines
- 7:54Speaker 3: always works for me as a sort of like a
- 7:57Speaker 3: concept for a film, and the TV thing works so
- 7:59Speaker 3: well because it's so like high stress and whatever. Anyway,
- 8:03Speaker 3: I just think that's really cool. So yeah, I'm with you.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I liked it quite a lot. It was it was
- 8:07Speaker 3: and I didn't really know anything about all that because
- 8:11Speaker 3: you know, obviously it was from before we were around,
- 8:13Speaker 3: so but yeah, it was really cool.
- 8:16Speaker 2: It had some crazy staff that there was like nine
- 8:18Speaker 2: hundred million people who watched it or something crazy nuts.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I don't know if it was that much, but it was.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I think I think it actually was nine hundred million.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure it was something close to that because
- 8:28Speaker 3: it was like crazy, what the hell are we even
- 8:29Speaker 3: talking about? You know, right, Yeah, yeah, it's pretty wild.
- 8:33Speaker 3: So nice. What movie did you watch? Well, I mentioned
- 8:39Speaker 3: mister keih Wee Kwan. I watched at the theater. It
- 8:43Speaker 3: Love Hurt or two Ago now already and man, what
- 8:49Speaker 3: a what a fun movie? This? This one's interesting because
- 8:51Speaker 3: it's only eighty three minutes, so another short one. As
- 8:55Speaker 3: it turned out, it felt like it really popped in
- 8:58Speaker 3: and popped out. Uh. It's a it's a little kooky
- 9:01Speaker 3: kind of fun story. It's a martial arts the action
- 9:05Speaker 3: film with some comedy in there. He is basically we
- 9:10Speaker 3: find out like a he's an assassin kind of guy
- 9:14Speaker 3: that has given up that life and now is a
- 9:16Speaker 3: real estate agent and so it's a lot of him
- 9:20Speaker 3: like being super wholesome and then turmoil happens after that,
- 9:24Speaker 3: and it's it's pretty funny and pretty great and it's
- 9:26Speaker 3: it's super enjoyable. I had a really good time. He's
- 9:29Speaker 3: amazing in everything. I think, you know, I we'll see
- 9:32Speaker 3: whatever he's in now. I feel like forever. Arianna Depos
- 9:37Speaker 3: is his like love interest in it, and she's just wonderful.
- 9:40Speaker 3: I love her too. Kwan's yeah interests, yeah, of sorts.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I mean they're definitely have a relationship. Maybe love interest
- 9:53Speaker 3: isn't quite.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Right, but it's a difference big.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it's nothing like nothing weird happened so it's it's
- 10:01Speaker 3: almost like they were partners before or something. I don't know.
- 10:05Speaker 3: It is interesting. Marshaun Lynch is in it. He's really funny.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I really like hive him, and then just a bunch
- 10:11Speaker 3: of other great people show up that I won't wreck
- 10:15Speaker 3: because I think people should see this if you're looking
- 10:17Speaker 3: for just like a fun little it is definitely like
- 10:20Speaker 3: martial artsy So if like physical violence isn't your thing,
- 10:24Speaker 3: you know, stay away. But if you're okay with it's
- 10:27Speaker 3: not like super crazy gory or anything. People do die
- 10:30Speaker 3: and stuff, but it's nothing too wild, and it's a
- 10:33Speaker 3: pretty great you know, like fight choreography and stuff. So
- 10:36Speaker 3: I think you specifically will really like it.
- 10:38Speaker 2: So yeah, I'll definitely check it out. I've heard nothing
- 10:41Speaker 2: about it.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it didn't. I don't even know if it has,
- 10:46Speaker 3: like what rating it got. Well this is it's only
- 10:48Speaker 3: five five out of ten on IMDb, So I thought
- 10:53Speaker 3: was fun. It's not like crazy memorable, you know, but
- 10:57Speaker 3: it's it was a good time, had nice time with it.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Cool.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah, have you been streaming anything?
- 11:04Speaker 2: I have, Yes, I believe you. I don't know if
- 11:06Speaker 2: it was the last episode or not, but you had
- 11:09Speaker 2: mentioned it Severance season two. Oh yeah, I'm all caught up.
- 11:15Speaker 2: So it's what six episodes, and yeah, I feel like
- 11:21Speaker 2: I know less about what's happening than I did in
- 11:24Speaker 2: the first episode.
- 11:25Speaker 3: By do I agree with that.
- 11:28Speaker 2: It kind of makes me feel like I did with Lost,
- 11:31Speaker 2: like I just have no idea what's happening. But I
- 11:33Speaker 2: like the characters. The filmmaking is awesome. It's good, dude,
- 11:39Speaker 2: so impressive.
- 11:40Speaker 3: All the shots that they Yeah, it's so neat. I
- 11:43Speaker 3: love it.
- 11:44Speaker 2: It's so cool. Ben Stiller is killing it. I'm still
- 11:47Speaker 2: into it, but feel like I'm gonna need some more
- 11:50Speaker 2: answers soon or I might start to lose interest, I
- 11:53Speaker 2: could say, but I'm currently still hooked. It's just a
- 11:58Speaker 2: little like give me something.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I felt like we were getting answers and then
- 12:05Speaker 3: it was like and also, it's weirder even than you thought, right,
- 12:09Speaker 3: you know, you know, I'm with you. I'm still in
- 12:12Speaker 3: a fun way, so we'll have hope that they haven't
- 12:15Speaker 3: figured out. I just mostly am starting to get like, Okay,
- 12:19Speaker 3: is this gonna be like Lost where some of these
- 12:22Speaker 3: things don't matter? And they were just like introducing random
- 12:26Speaker 3: things like I don't want that please, no, thank you,
- 12:30Speaker 3: but we'll find.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to be like a Lost
- 12:33Speaker 2: in that way, just because I feel like Lost they
- 12:36Speaker 2: had so many more episodes that they were having to write, and.
- 12:39Speaker 3: They legitimately part of that was they were negotiating a
- 12:43Speaker 3: contract I believe I've read, and so they didn't know
- 12:46Speaker 3: how many more seasons they had, so they were kind
- 12:49Speaker 3: of just punting, you know a little bit, and that shows.
- 12:53Speaker 3: But yeah, I agree, I think this will be more encapsulated, hopefully.
- 12:58Speaker 2: I hope. So we'll find. Yeah, what about you? What
- 13:02Speaker 2: have you been streaming?
- 13:03Speaker 3: So I went to YouTube and watched a stand up
- 13:08Speaker 3: special by Ian Carmel, who I know I've mentioned to
- 13:12Speaker 3: you before. He does that All Fantasy Everything podcast. He
- 13:16Speaker 3: wrote for James Cordon and he actually wrote for this
- 13:20Speaker 3: is part of the reason I did it. He wrote
- 13:22Speaker 3: for the Oscars with Conan. He was one of the
- 13:24Speaker 3: writers in the room with them and actually has someone
- 13:28Speaker 3: asked him if the June squibbit was his, like on
- 13:32Speaker 3: Blue Sky, I think it was or something, and he
- 13:34Speaker 3: confirmed it was. So that's funny. So if you liked
- 13:37Speaker 3: that bit, you might like this. He is a special.
- 13:40Speaker 3: It's his first one. It's called Comfort Beyond God's Foresight,
- 13:44Speaker 3: which is really a that's a name, and it's super
- 13:48Speaker 3: super funny. I just think he's a super funny dude.
- 13:52Speaker 3: That is, he's got a really brilliant mind, but also
- 13:57Speaker 3: is like, you know, kind of just like a regular
- 14:00Speaker 3: schmo as well. So it's a it's a fun like
- 14:02Speaker 3: juxtaposition between like very smart comments and then stuff you
- 14:07Speaker 3: know that like I'm just down, I don't know, you know,
- 14:10Speaker 3: kind of the Nate Bargatzi kind of style stuff a
- 14:13Speaker 3: little bit. I think you would really like it, so
- 14:16Speaker 3: you should check it out. It's free on YouTube right now.
- 14:19Speaker 3: And yeah, Comfort Beyond God's Foresight. I really liked it.
- 14:23Speaker 3: That was fun, cool, cool, nice. Yeah, should we do
- 14:26Speaker 3: some plug us?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Let's do it nice?
- 14:28Speaker 3: Guess can visitis as always over on the Twitter Machine
- 14:30Speaker 3: where we're at Avid Endorsement with a Z. We're also
- 14:34Speaker 3: available on Facebook and Instagram and blue Sky, although those
- 14:39Speaker 3: Blue Sky handles I don't know what any of those are.
- 14:42Speaker 3: You're just gonna have to search or something. I don't know.
- 14:44Speaker 3: That's crazy Instagram do I say that? But if you
- 14:49Speaker 3: really want to hang out and be part of the
- 14:51Speaker 3: crew that's.
- 14:51Speaker 2: About to go patreon dot com slash the Avid endorsement. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 2: it's a great time on Patren. We love our patrons.
- 14:57Speaker 2: We give them lots of perks. One of those is
- 15:00Speaker 2: getting a shout out here. Let's give a big shout
- 15:01Speaker 2: out to Marsha Greasiak, Mary Fox, Nanette Walkley, Johan Brostaid
- 15:07Speaker 2: deb Olk, and Noel Flores. You guys are wonderful. And
- 15:14Speaker 2: another perk excuse me that we like to give our
- 15:18Speaker 2: editors an extended version of every episode we put out,
- 15:22Speaker 2: we'll do a top five draft that pertains to the
- 15:24Speaker 2: movie we're talking about, and for this one, we decided
- 15:28Speaker 2: to do our top five movie characters that were recast.
- 15:33Speaker 3: This will be interesting, This will be interesting. I feel
- 15:35Speaker 3: like there's some like ambiguity here, so that'll be fun.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like there's some really big ones and
- 15:41Speaker 2: it should be It should be good.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I hope I didn't forget any obvious ones, like, say,
- 15:46Speaker 3: perhaps one of my favorite movies of all time.
- 15:48Speaker 2: We'll find out, Yeah, Whips a Doodle, Oh gosh, but.
- 15:54Speaker 3: We will look forward to that coming attractions. We're also
- 15:57Speaker 3: going to look forward to How to Train Your Dragon,
- 16:00Speaker 3: the original animated. We're gonna be doing that. That must
- 16:03Speaker 3: be having anniversary though I don't remember.
- 16:05Speaker 2: The teenth I think fifteenth anniversary. And then it's right
- 16:11Speaker 2: before the new one is coming out, the.
- 16:13Speaker 3: New one that just looks like a remake. But you
- 16:16Speaker 3: know what, action though, they're going to make so much money.
- 16:18Speaker 3: They don't care what I think about that either, all
- 16:20Speaker 3: the money. Yeah, so that'll be fun. I love that movie,
- 16:23Speaker 3: so it'll be fun to rewatch because it's been a
- 16:25Speaker 3: while for me anyway, So yeah, any who's that'll be great.
- 16:29Speaker 3: But we're here today for a little Marvel madness, ladies
- 16:33Speaker 3: and gentlemen, as we talk about Captain America Brave New World,
- 16:38Speaker 3: and you know, we had to get our guy back,
- 16:41Speaker 3: you know, for this Marvel guy, he's taking up the
- 16:44Speaker 3: shields and he's ready to hang out with us. So
- 16:47Speaker 3: let's give it up for Riley Zamber.
- 16:51Speaker 2: What's up, Riley?
- 16:52Speaker 4: Hello, my friend buddy, How are.
- 16:56Speaker 2: You Fellas so good?
- 16:58Speaker 4: How are you pal doing pretty good? Doing pretty good?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, exciting news, excited.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Very exciting news in the house here. Yeah. The cliff
- 17:11Speaker 4: Notes story is that I was I was procrastinating seeing
- 17:15Speaker 4: this when you guys asked me to be on the
- 17:16Speaker 4: pod because I hadn't seen it yet, and then I
- 17:18Speaker 4: was like, you know what, this is safe. It's still
- 17:20Speaker 4: like a week until my expecting little girl is supposed
- 17:25Speaker 4: to arrive, and I go to the theater. Kensa's like, yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 4: we got it. I think my sister in law was
- 17:29Speaker 4: hanging out and then I get a text when there's
- 17:33Speaker 4: about thirty five minutes left and she's like, hey, uh,
- 17:35Speaker 4: things are feeling different.
- 17:38Speaker 3: And I was like, oh man, okay.
- 17:41Speaker 4: She's like, you don't have to rush like from the movie,
- 17:44Speaker 4: but like cause she gets she would get a lot
- 17:45Speaker 4: of Braxton hicks, which are like practice contractions, you know,
- 17:48Speaker 4: throughout the entire pregnancy, and she's like, hey, those are
- 17:52Speaker 4: different today this evening, and I was like, oh okay.
- 17:56Speaker 4: So then I get home and she's like, yeah, I
- 17:57Speaker 4: was having to like stop cooking dinner a couple of
- 17:59Speaker 4: times and like take a really struggle breath. So then
- 18:03Speaker 4: lo and behold the day that we were supposed to
- 18:05Speaker 4: film this podcast. Last week, my daughter was born, which
- 18:08Speaker 4: is super super rad, adorable and yeah, so special and
- 18:15Speaker 4: so like we were just talking about a moment ago.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Ken's was like, you saw the movie, you need to
- 18:19Speaker 4: go do the pod. I got these kids, it's all good.
- 18:22Speaker 4: You go talk to the guys. And so I'm very grateful.
- 18:26Speaker 4: She's the best.
- 18:27Speaker 2: She's the best. I felt so guilty just even texting you,
- 18:32Speaker 2: like do you still want to do this?
- 18:36Speaker 3: Do have to record it? But I totally get it.
- 18:40Speaker 2: If you cannot do it, cannot Yeah, if you don't.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Want to it now or never, like you're invited, but
- 18:48Speaker 4: it's okay.
- 18:49Speaker 5: No.
- 18:49Speaker 4: It was very you were very kind and very but
- 18:52Speaker 4: and I was. I danced that as well. I was like, hey, babe,
- 18:56Speaker 4: and she was like, yep, you got it, you can
- 18:58Speaker 4: go do it.
- 18:58Speaker 3: So so fun.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Yeah, so I'm here. I made it.
- 19:02Speaker 3: I also thought it was hilarious when you were like,
- 19:04Speaker 3: can we push the podcast because I am having a child.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Wednesday morning last week. I said, hey, guys, I think
- 19:15Speaker 4: I've got a pretty good scapegoat right now for needing
- 19:17Speaker 4: to postpone the podcast, and it's that my child is born.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Well that's great, buddy, We're so happy. Thanks for making
- 19:25Speaker 3: the tiends.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Yes, she's the MVP of this episode. For sure.
- 19:30Speaker 3: She's bad. If you want to support that bad ass,
- 19:34Speaker 3: go to hound Fox music dot com or any streaming
- 19:38Speaker 3: service ever and go listen to the two Lullaby albums
- 19:41Speaker 3: which might be getting some playtime.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Get some playtime here at the house for sure.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, and all kinds of other stuff that
- 19:50Speaker 3: they have out there, so you know, it might be
- 19:52Speaker 3: a while. So there's something new which is understandable.
- 19:55Speaker 4: But we got plans, but we're taking it slow, you
- 19:57Speaker 4: know what I mean.
- 19:58Speaker 3: So much content is already there, which it's delightful. So
- 20:01Speaker 3: check that out hand, Fox Music, Doug com do it.
- 20:05Speaker 3: But fellers, what do you think should we get started
- 20:07Speaker 3: to talk about Captain America, Brave New World.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Let's do it? Okay, rap, Well you could have started
- 20:12Speaker 3: with just a rough synopsis.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Sure, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international
- 20:19Speaker 2: incident after meeting with President Fattius Ross. He must soon
- 20:24Speaker 2: discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the
- 20:28Speaker 2: true mastermind has the entire world seeing red all.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Look what they did.
- 20:36Speaker 4: There's a great good job. So happy with themselves with
- 20:40Speaker 4: that good Fattius.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I went for it, like it.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I liked it a lot. Let's go to Rotten Tomadelson
- 20:48Speaker 3: here what critics thought of it?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Uh?
- 20:50Speaker 3: They have this coming in at a rock solid forty.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Wow.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Not great. That's not good. Maybe the lowest of these
- 20:58Speaker 3: we've done in a while, in a while, in a while, Yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 3: probably not lowest. Ever, it's close. It's a good thing
- 21:05Speaker 3: to keep track of.
- 21:05Speaker 4: I think it's close. I bet it's I bet it's
- 21:07Speaker 4: down there.
- 21:08Speaker 3: It's gotta be. It seems well, we'll get into it,
- 21:11Speaker 3: audience members. They'll have it up at eighty percent, which
- 21:13Speaker 3: is pretty good, not terrible, not terrible, not bad. But
- 21:17Speaker 3: let's go into uh, talk about what we think. It's
- 21:19Speaker 3: time for our hot take.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Hot take.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Oh spices, that's a hot take, that's a hot taste
- 21:28Speaker 3: Red Red. I think in the comics he's like a
- 21:33Speaker 3: nuclear clear.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Oh yeah, his skin kind of burns his clothes off
- 21:40Speaker 4: a little bit. It's kind of they kind of lean
- 21:41Speaker 4: into that.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, but I think his thing, Hulk's thing is
- 21:45Speaker 3: that he gets stronger as he gets madder, and this
- 21:47Speaker 3: guy's thing is he gets more radioactive. Oh and then
- 21:51Speaker 3: actually physically warmer.
- 21:52Speaker 4: You're educated sweaty, Yeah, sweat gets sweaty.
- 21:56Speaker 3: Anyway, hot take. Nobody cared about that, and it also
- 22:00Speaker 3: it might not be right. I thought this movie was
- 22:02Speaker 3: pretty good. I've seen it twice now, so I did
- 22:07Speaker 3: go back for a rewatch.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Wow. Nice, because you know that.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I feel like I don't do myself or these movies
- 22:14Speaker 3: a favor when I'm trying to figure out what they're
- 22:16Speaker 3: doing and what direction they're going while I'm watching them,
- 22:19Speaker 3: you know, So I feel like the second watch is
- 22:22Speaker 3: always a little bit better for me usually, and I
- 22:25Speaker 3: definitely felt that way this time. I enjoyed the second
- 22:28Speaker 3: watch a lot more than the first one. I thought
- 22:30Speaker 3: there was a lot of good action scenes in it.
- 22:34Speaker 3: It is a little like Blase a little bit. You
- 22:38Speaker 3: can definitely tell that there was some reshoots. There were
- 22:41Speaker 3: some things that they seem to like have other ideas
- 22:44Speaker 3: about characters that you know, we'll probably get into as
- 22:48Speaker 3: we go on that they may be rethought and things
- 22:51Speaker 3: like that. But overall I thought it was It was
- 22:53Speaker 3: a pretty good movie. It had some interesting stuff. It
- 22:58Speaker 3: kind of just falls into the like everything after Endgame
- 23:03Speaker 3: kind of. It's just like I'm just waiting for that
- 23:06Speaker 3: that hook to really set and get me again. But
- 23:10Speaker 3: I'm obviously in for all of them anyway, so maybe
- 23:13Speaker 3: they're not worried about that, I thought. I thought there
- 23:16Speaker 3: was a why can't I think of his name right now?
- 23:21Speaker 3: Who struggling Sam Anthony Mackie, Sorry Anthony Mackie. I thought
- 23:28Speaker 3: he did a pretty good job, honestly, in a really
- 23:31Speaker 3: like difficult spot to be in with not a lot
- 23:35Speaker 3: of momentum in the Marvel universe. Anyway, He's taking over
- 23:39Speaker 3: the mantle in this movie. You know, he had the
- 23:41Speaker 3: show that was like also received with mixed reviews. I
- 23:46Speaker 3: actually thought he was pretty great in this. They powered
- 23:49Speaker 3: him up just enough where I felt like it was
- 23:51Speaker 3: at least conceivable that he could hang in some of
- 23:53Speaker 3: these fights more than he used to. I thought he
- 23:56Speaker 3: really showed, you know, some of the same like ethos
- 23:59Speaker 3: that can and you could I could tell why Steve
- 24:03Speaker 3: liked him right and why he thought he was the
- 24:05Speaker 3: man for the job. So I did like that at
- 24:08Speaker 3: the very least, I thought there was some compelling stuff
- 24:11Speaker 3: in this. They really wasted a couple bad guys, I
- 24:15Speaker 3: felt like because I just never I never really got
- 24:18Speaker 3: a feeling for who was the main baddie. I mean
- 24:21Speaker 3: I did, but I was also like, make me feel it,
- 24:24Speaker 3: don't just tell me, you know, like you know, kind
- 24:26Speaker 3: of really make it, make me go into it, but
- 24:29Speaker 3: I think more and more the part that I liked
- 24:32Speaker 3: was the as more like turmoil happens with all these
- 24:35Speaker 3: superpowered individuals and mutants and things like that. I think
- 24:40Speaker 3: we're getting into like a really interesting phase for maybe
- 24:44Speaker 3: like a totalitarian type government to come in, and that'll
- 24:48Speaker 3: segue nicely into some X Men stuff that they do
- 24:51Speaker 3: really really well. So I think that could be kind
- 24:54Speaker 3: of cool. Especially after these big movies coming up, There's
- 24:57Speaker 3: gonna be like a little bit of a backlash with
- 24:59Speaker 3: all the which I think will be interesting. And yeah,
- 25:03Speaker 3: I thought this movie was pretty good. It's like a
- 25:05Speaker 3: solid like B for me. I had a good time.
- 25:08Speaker 3: But my hottest take is this movie would have been
- 25:11Speaker 3: one million times cooler if I didn't see the flying
- 25:15Speaker 3: Red Hulk in every trailer that ever existed for this
- 25:18Speaker 3: movie coming. It makes me crazy on the inside because
- 25:23Speaker 3: they didn't. Just like the one where they showed an
- 25:26Speaker 3: arm that was like a Hulk arm and it was red.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I was like, Okay, that's like you're kind of giving
- 25:32Speaker 3: it away, but not everyone's gonna know. We saw like
- 25:35Speaker 3: footage of him fighting in the cherry trees, like on
- 25:42Speaker 3: that lane, which is the final scene of the I'm
- 25:45Speaker 3: I'm so mad that they do that and it and it.
- 25:49Speaker 3: They're so like pervasive. There's no way you can avoid this.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Really if you're especially if you're watching sports or anything
- 25:57Speaker 3: like that on live TV, you're gonna see these stupid trailers.
- 26:01Speaker 3: And it just made me so mad for this one
- 26:03Speaker 3: because I there was no reveal. I feel like they
- 26:06Speaker 3: could have had, you know, hearkening back to that sort
- 26:09Speaker 3: of like kind of like spy games, espionage stuff. None
- 26:13Speaker 3: of that stuff was really had any weight to it
- 26:17Speaker 3: because we knew it was coming. We sort of knew
- 26:19Speaker 3: what the third act was gonna be. So that's my
- 26:21Speaker 3: hottest take. I was real mad about.
- 26:23Speaker 2: That's hope that there was going to be more to it.
- 26:27Speaker 3: You know, like sometimes they'll fake us out. They didn't
- 26:30Speaker 3: fake us out at all in these trailers. They just
- 26:32Speaker 3: I think sort of as like, we really need people
- 26:35Speaker 3: to see this, so we have to show them to
- 26:37Speaker 3: get you know, people on board. They're in the same way.
- 26:42Speaker 3: But yeah, anyway, that is my overall pretty tepid take.
- 26:46Speaker 3: But yeah, no, that's a hot take.
- 26:48Speaker 2: That's absolutely a hot take that I thought this movie's okay.
- 26:54Speaker 2: It wasn't terrible, it wasn't amazing. It was directed by
- 26:58Speaker 2: Julius Ona, who really hasn't done a bunch. He did
- 27:02Speaker 2: the last Cloverfield movie, The Cloverfield Paradox. I else did
- 27:07Speaker 2: a drama called Loose that I didn't see, but pretty
- 27:10Speaker 2: big film for someone with not a huge resume, and
- 27:12Speaker 2: thought he did pretty well. They brought in a bunch
- 27:16Speaker 2: of writers and a few of them wrote on The
- 27:18Speaker 2: Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, which I thought was smart.
- 27:24Speaker 2: It was really fun bringing Harrison Ford to come in
- 27:27Speaker 2: and replace William Hurt. It was pretty cross if you
- 27:30Speaker 2: got to replace William Hurt. Harrison Ford number one on
- 27:34Speaker 2: the list. He's awesome. Bringing Joaquin back from the Falcon
- 27:40Speaker 2: in The Winner Soldier was great. I'm a big fan
- 27:42Speaker 2: of that character and that actor. I would have never
- 27:47Speaker 2: guessed ever, that that Shira Haas, who I saw on
- 27:50Speaker 2: the Netflix show Unorthodox, would end up being a Marvel
- 27:55Speaker 2: character that's like kicking dudes asses. She's so tiny, he's
- 28:02Speaker 2: so little. She's a great actress and she I thought
- 28:07Speaker 2: she did a good job, you know, in the action
- 28:10Speaker 2: sequences and stuff, But man, I did not picture that
- 28:13Speaker 2: happening ever. No, I'm really glad Tim Blake Nelson got
- 28:18Speaker 2: a little redemption from his previous Marvel role in The
- 28:21Speaker 2: Incredible Hulk. His character got really goofy at the end
- 28:24Speaker 2: of that, so it was fun that he was able
- 28:26Speaker 2: to come back and and be pretty scary and kind
- 28:30Speaker 2: of a kind of a cool battie. It took me
- 28:33Speaker 2: a while to get into this movie, I felt. I
- 28:37Speaker 2: feel like Anthony Mackie's role is just like a little vanilla.
- 28:41Speaker 2: It like starts to get more compelling as it goes on,
- 28:44Speaker 2: but it just took me. It just takes me a while.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:48Speaker 3: I was into it by the end, but like it's
- 28:51Speaker 3: just yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Fault yeah. So it's just kind of me for me.
- 28:58Speaker 2: My hot take, I totally agree with you on your
- 29:01Speaker 2: hot take. Another thing just with like the filmmaking is
- 29:05Speaker 2: some of the worst overdubs I've seen in a while.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I caught several of them in the theater. Ooh, I
- 29:10Speaker 2: love and when it's.
- 29:11Speaker 4: I didn't catch I wasn't paying attention. That's usually my thing.
- 29:14Speaker 4: I catch overdubs like they were early on really.
- 29:17Speaker 2: And there was at least two very early and just
- 29:21Speaker 2: like a big budget movie like this. I feel like
- 29:24Speaker 2: I shouldn't be noticing things like that.
- 29:26Speaker 3: And like cut around it.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Not only cut around it, but dude's AI At this point,
- 29:30Speaker 4: they can deep fake an entire face. You could deep
- 29:33Speaker 4: fake some lips saying something else to make it match.
- 29:35Speaker 4: If you've got to overdub something, you know what I mean,
- 29:37Speaker 4: there's other methods. It's unforgivable at this point.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I noticed too within the first twenty minutes, and I
- 29:44Speaker 2: like wrote it down. I'm like, what is happening?
- 29:47Speaker 3: I think they were involving what I assume we're pretty
- 29:50Speaker 3: big rewrites. Yeah, for both what's that guy's name? Sidewinder,
- 29:56Speaker 3: the Sidewinder character, and then for the gal that you
- 29:59Speaker 3: said you're.
- 30:00Speaker 2: That Sidewinder bit, Like that's another hot take, just like
- 30:04Speaker 2: why did we even bring him into this movie? An
- 30:10Speaker 2: amazing actor?
- 30:12Speaker 3: Yeah, he was great, give him anything to do.
- 30:14Speaker 4: He ate every moment that he was on screen. It
- 30:16Speaker 4: just was it was like woefully wasted.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Yeah talking about junk Carlos, Yes, for others.
- 30:24Speaker 2: So I guess that's my hottest take is like why
- 30:27Speaker 2: why did we waste him?
- 30:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the opportunities. Yeah, really he could come back,
- 30:33Speaker 3: but for sure.
- 30:34Speaker 2: But yeah, it was weak. It was really weak, very strange.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm with you, hot take pal, thank you.
- 30:41Speaker 2: What you got buddy.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Okay, here's my hot take. First of all, I'll apologize
- 30:45Speaker 4: to listeners if my internet cuts out and we're all
- 30:47Speaker 4: like out of sink because it's a little bit wonky today.
- 30:50Speaker 4: But I definitely lean a little more towards Rob's feelings
- 30:56Speaker 4: about this. I will say I'm easy to enter, especially
- 31:00Speaker 4: if it's a superhero movie at all, let alone the
- 31:03Speaker 4: Marvel Cinematic universe. I'm easy to please. And I was
- 31:07Speaker 4: entertained in this, Like it was, like you said, bugs,
- 31:09Speaker 4: There's some really great action, some great cinematography. It was
- 31:13Speaker 4: very beautiful like looking, you know, which I can always appreciate.
- 31:17Speaker 4: And visually, wow, that was great, some really great you know,
- 31:21Speaker 4: v effects, especially later on with Red Hulk looking tasty.
- 31:25Speaker 4: It was awesome. But like it was really super lukewarm
- 31:32Speaker 4: for me, which is a bummer because the Cap trilogy
- 31:35Speaker 4: is awesome, you know what I mean. Like the worst
- 31:38Speaker 4: of the of the first three CAP movies is the
- 31:40Speaker 4: first one, just because it's a little bit like campy
- 31:43Speaker 4: and you know, and then Winter Soldier is legendary and
- 31:47Speaker 4: then Civil War is unbelievable, like yeah, and like I think,
- 31:53Speaker 4: I also felt like the Winter Soldier, the Falcon Winter
- 31:56Speaker 4: Soldier show was a little bit from me lukewarm, you
- 31:59Speaker 4: know what I mean. There's some cool stuff in there,
- 32:00Speaker 4: they introduced some neat things. It was very like politically driven,
- 32:04Speaker 4: and I don't mean that in.
- 32:04Speaker 3: A bad way.
- 32:05Speaker 4: I like it just was it didn't hold the same
- 32:09Speaker 4: excitement for me. And then I went into this thinking, oh,
- 32:12Speaker 4: they're trying to do some cool stuff connecting some even
- 32:14Speaker 4: bigger things, you know, like showing Red Hulk aside in
- 32:18Speaker 4: the trailers, which I also think, like you said, bugs
- 32:20Speaker 4: was so so bad. They could have done something where
- 32:24Speaker 4: they show like just his irises turn red just slightly,
- 32:27Speaker 4: just to be like, what's going on, just to get
- 32:29Speaker 4: you excited, because showing that whole showing his whole you know,
- 32:33Speaker 4: look and transformation, it's like, okay, spoiler alert, Like that's
- 32:37Speaker 4: that's the kind of thing that people lose their minds
- 32:39Speaker 4: for in the movie for the first time, not when
- 32:42Speaker 4: you watch the trailers. So it was very for me
- 32:47Speaker 4: in that sense, but like I have a hard time
- 32:52Speaker 4: kind of wrapping my head around what I didn't love
- 32:56Speaker 4: so much. I thought, I like it was like a
- 32:58Speaker 4: bunch of really great actors. I mean, I've always loved
- 33:02Speaker 4: Anthony Mackie as Samuelson. Samuelson. Every appearance that he's made
- 33:07Speaker 4: is great, from like sidekick zone in Winter Soldier to
- 33:11Speaker 4: like start like starting to helm his own his projects himself.
- 33:14Speaker 4: He was even I liked him a lot better in
- 33:16Speaker 4: Falcon Winter Soldier as a show, and I think that
- 33:19Speaker 4: boils down to a lot of like messy writing and
- 33:22Speaker 4: trying to like and like with this world building they
- 33:24Speaker 4: were trying to do. I think it was the perfect
- 33:26Speaker 4: attempt with this sort of grounded espionage stuff. You know,
- 33:31Speaker 4: that's where like Cap kind of belongs if he's by himself.
- 33:34Speaker 4: The intergalactic stuff is like really big for Captain America,
- 33:37Speaker 4: you know, so especially a not superpowered Captain America. Uh,
- 33:43Speaker 4: it makes sense to go this grounded like espionage route
- 33:46Speaker 4: with like this new president who was a hot head
- 33:48Speaker 4: general and all this stuff where they're you know, I
- 33:51Speaker 4: liked I liked Eternals a lot, so I thought it
- 33:53Speaker 4: was cool to see the celestial emergence come back in
- 33:57Speaker 4: this introduce the introduction of Vibrania of not vibranium, sorry, adamantium.
- 34:04Speaker 4: It's huge because that's like a big X Men thread,
- 34:08Speaker 4: massive x Men thread. I don't know. I'm excited to
- 34:10Speaker 4: see how they tie that into stuff. That was cool
- 34:13Speaker 4: because that was such a big question mark all this
- 34:15Speaker 4: like gigantic world size being starts to crash out of
- 34:18Speaker 4: the ocean. We're never going to talk about it.
- 34:20Speaker 3: So that was cool to say that.
- 34:22Speaker 4: And it was interesting that they went with this kind
- 34:24Speaker 4: of light incredible Hulk sequel vibe with like with Tim
- 34:28Speaker 4: Blake Nelson as as Sterns and like tying in a
- 34:31Speaker 4: lot of that stuff. I was surprised we didn't see
- 34:33Speaker 4: the abomination in this like you know what I mean,
- 34:35Speaker 4: like there was they really went with those threads. Also, okay,
- 34:38Speaker 4: side note, we're not gonna there's not even gonna be
- 34:40Speaker 4: a mention of Bruce. He's on Earth as like smart Hulk,
- 34:44Speaker 4: like not that he has to make an appearance, because
- 34:47Speaker 4: that's like a you know, but like they're not even
- 34:49Speaker 4: gonna talk about him. They're not even gonna, like Thaddeus
- 34:52Speaker 4: Ross should absolutely reference that this guy that he hates
- 34:56Speaker 4: that he hunted is now like a famous super hero,
- 35:00Speaker 4: you know, what I mean, like that he's that in
- 35:03Speaker 4: like Civil War was like you lost basically a nuclear missile.
- 35:07Speaker 4: In the Hulk, he's off world, like all these things.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Those were weird loose ends that I was confused that
- 35:11Speaker 4: they didn't tie in. Sorry, small tangent. It was just
- 35:15Speaker 4: everybody individually it like wanted to work so bad, but
- 35:20Speaker 4: it just didn't ever get there. Like you said, Rob,
- 35:22Speaker 4: it's real like at the beginning, I'm like, what are
- 35:24Speaker 4: we doing here? What is this about? Who is the villain?
- 35:28Speaker 4: And I think for me it was just a it
- 35:31Speaker 4: was muddy, you know what I mean. The cream of
- 35:36Speaker 4: the crop, the kream Dela creme of this movie was
- 35:39Speaker 4: the final fight with Red Hulk. Let's all just agree
- 35:42Speaker 4: that was breathtaking and amazing, but like but it was
- 35:46Speaker 4: like not too little, too late, just like that they
- 35:49Speaker 4: just wanted to get there. That's all they want to
- 35:51Speaker 4: do is just get get to that fight.
- 35:54Speaker 3: But also like why are we getting I think they
- 35:57Speaker 3: did a good job showing Thaddeus having you know, some
- 36:01Speaker 3: like he's he is trying to change, he's trying to
- 36:04Speaker 3: be different, he's reaching out to his daughter. We get
- 36:07Speaker 3: live Tyler in the very end of the movie, Why
- 36:09Speaker 3: didn't she come When they talk about how it was
- 36:12Speaker 3: so special that they were in these cherry blossoms together,
- 36:15Speaker 3: why didn't she show up and be the one that
- 36:17Speaker 3: finally got.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Him back back?
- 36:19Speaker 4: And it could have been a.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Cool sunsetting big.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Exactly, like exactly exactly, dude, exactly, I was one of
- 36:28Speaker 4: the same thing. And like that they you said it bugs.
- 36:31Speaker 4: I forget how you worded it, but it was like
- 36:33Speaker 4: they they just kind of told us all the stuff
- 36:37Speaker 4: that was happening. We were it was.
- 36:39Speaker 3: They wanted to be.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Clever with it. They wanted to be clever with Stearn's
- 36:42Speaker 4: kind of poisoning Thaddeus over time and like causing his
- 36:47Speaker 4: anger and rage that's sort of latent within him to
- 36:49Speaker 4: like lead to this losing control and like this revenge
- 36:54Speaker 4: that he wanted against Ross. But like they just told
- 36:58Speaker 4: us it was happening. They just keep doing hyper close
- 37:01Speaker 4: ups of his little pills and then he just like
- 37:03Speaker 4: tells us halfway through, and I'm like, that's not clever,
- 37:06Speaker 4: that's just that's just your excuse to make him turn
- 37:09Speaker 4: into the Red Hulk, you know what I mean? They
- 37:10Speaker 4: could they could have just been dropping us little hints
- 37:15Speaker 4: throughout and not made it so like obvious that like Thaddeus,
- 37:20Speaker 4: he wants to be better and then all of a
- 37:22Speaker 4: sudden he's just being a douche. Like again, It's was
- 37:25Speaker 4: very hot and cold for me, and I couldn't quite
- 37:28Speaker 4: I couldn't quite figure it out, you know what I mean.
- 37:30Speaker 4: So long story short, I was sadly, like more disappointed
- 37:35Speaker 4: than I was hoping. I really wanted it to be
- 37:37Speaker 4: better because I love Anthony Mackie, I love all the
- 37:40Speaker 4: like ingredients were there, but something maybe it was the reshoots,
- 37:45Speaker 4: maybe they just were trying to lead into something else.
- 37:48Speaker 4: It just really never quite got there for me. Elements.
- 37:51Speaker 4: I loved characters, I loved interactions, VFX, fight scene choreography,
- 37:57Speaker 4: but as a whole, it just was it was just
- 38:00Speaker 4: messy for me. And that's a bummer because you know me,
- 38:02Speaker 4: I'm an MCU stand up.
- 38:04Speaker 2: In here, but.
- 38:06Speaker 4: I couldn't do it for me. Guys, I would give
- 38:08Speaker 4: it like a C you know, real average for me,
- 38:13Speaker 4: not the worst, not my least favorite.
- 38:15Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, dude, I were I feel very similar
- 38:21Speaker 2: the way you put it, for sure.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Great, well, some hot takes all around. Everybody talk about
- 38:28Speaker 3: our favorite acting performance. Let's name the dude.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Dude.
- 38:32Speaker 6: I'm the dude, So that's what you call me, you
- 38:35Speaker 6: know that? Or his dudeness or duder or you know,
- 38:41Speaker 6: el dud reno if you're not into the whole brevity thing,
- 38:44Speaker 6: rather who you got for the dude.
- 38:46Speaker 4: It was a hard one for different reasons than usual,
- 38:49Speaker 4: because I feel like the writing didn't allow these amazing
- 38:52Speaker 4: actors to shine as much as they could. Anthony Mackie
- 38:58Speaker 4: is a home run youly for me, and he felt
- 39:01Speaker 4: a little bit underutilized compared to normal Sam Wilson, you
- 39:06Speaker 4: know what I mean. Yeah, But and then Harrison Ford
- 39:10Speaker 4: such a legend. Again, I was a little bit like, whoa,
- 39:12Speaker 4: what do we do in here? Harrison? Like you know,
- 39:15Speaker 4: it was again, I think the writing the actors are incredible,
- 39:17Speaker 4: they just weren't given the right platforms to work with.
- 39:23Speaker 4: But I think I gotta go Anthony Mackie because even
- 39:25Speaker 4: all that being said, he really was the heart and
- 39:27Speaker 4: soul of this whole thing, and they're putting a lot
- 39:31Speaker 4: of faith. They're putting a lot of faith in him,
- 39:33Speaker 4: in Sam Wilson and Anthony Mackie as an actor and
- 39:36Speaker 4: a character within this franchise. He did a great job.
- 39:39Speaker 4: He really he did keep me engaged and like he
- 39:44Speaker 4: kept my heart in it despite being like ooh some
- 39:47Speaker 4: of my my gripes that I had, you know, so
- 39:50Speaker 4: I do got to give it to him. And it
- 39:51Speaker 4: was like a surprisingly small cast. Whereas a lot of
- 39:54Speaker 4: Marvel movies have like forty people you could choose from.
- 39:57Speaker 4: It was a little bit smaller, a little bit like
- 39:58Speaker 4: more I get grounded, you know. So I do think
- 40:01Speaker 4: I can't not give it to him. He was He was,
- 40:04Speaker 4: all things considered, still very enjoyable and I think did
- 40:07Speaker 4: a great job with what they were trying to do
- 40:09Speaker 4: with him, if that makes sense.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he did the best he could do with
- 40:14Speaker 2: what he was given. I get that. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 40:18Speaker 2: go Harrison Ford just because I love him so much.
- 40:23Speaker 2: He really can do no wrong for me these days.
- 40:27Speaker 3: He's legend, a real prime right now. I feel like he.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Really is, Yeah, just killing it. But I thought it
- 40:35Speaker 2: kind of worked that it was a new actor playing
- 40:37Speaker 2: Ras since he had changed so much in this film. Yea,
- 40:42Speaker 2: and yeah, I thought he was great playing the new
- 40:45Speaker 2: leader trying to change for the better, but still had
- 40:47Speaker 2: all that baggage and he's just such a stud I
- 40:50Speaker 2: just love him.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Yep, that's nice. I love that. I had the same
- 40:55Speaker 3: sort of I went back and forth a couple of times,
- 40:57Speaker 3: but I think I am going to pick Harrison as well. Again.
- 41:01Speaker 3: I really I'm with you, Riley. I really like Anthony
- 41:04Speaker 3: Mackey a lot. I just feel like they didn't give
- 41:06Speaker 3: him anything in this for character development, because yeah, he's
- 41:10Speaker 3: really just the same dude the whole time.
- 41:12Speaker 4: It really did. It really did feel like they were like,
- 41:15Speaker 4: we're gonna utilize Harrison Ford to the maximum in this,
- 41:18Speaker 4: and they almost it almost was like a Harrison Ford movie,
- 41:21Speaker 4: like he was more of a prominent, dominant character than
- 41:25Speaker 4: you would expect a sort of more secondary person to be.
- 41:29Speaker 3: Totally. Yeah, which then I'm like, okay, lean into it again, right,
- 41:33Speaker 3: like have him do like the Gandal for Dumbledore thing
- 41:37Speaker 3: of being like it's not how long we get, it's
- 41:40Speaker 3: how we choose to use that time or something, you know, like, yeah,
- 41:43Speaker 3: have him give us some ethos then. But yeah, anyway,
- 41:46Speaker 3: but Harrison Ford, I agree.
- 41:48Speaker 4: I'm on board with that. Yeah, he's just wonderful.
- 41:51Speaker 3: He's really good in this and in a again a
- 41:55Speaker 3: film with not a ton of depth. He really brings
- 41:58Speaker 3: it to a place where it wouldn't have been without
- 41:59Speaker 3: am so oh for sure. Yeah, I'm gonna take him.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Like nice, how about we name all these other fine people.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Let's name the Tucci, the Tucci Duoche. Yeah, how about
- 42:12Speaker 3: this one, Riley?
- 42:13Speaker 4: I mean, it's easily Harrison Ford because he was right
- 42:16Speaker 4: well sure, he was right there for me. I mean,
- 42:18Speaker 4: he's your guys' number one for me. It was hard
- 42:20Speaker 4: to choose between. But I think that my only trepidation
- 42:25Speaker 4: was that, you know, having rewatched a lot of the
- 42:28Speaker 4: MCU recently with Rowan like seeing you know, we lost
- 42:32Speaker 4: William Hurt, so there's no replacing him directly. But the
- 42:35Speaker 4: Thaddeus that William Hurt embodied was really nasty. Like he's
- 42:42Speaker 4: a nasty guy and really irredeemable. And that's part of
- 42:45Speaker 4: the whole point of this was that to try and
- 42:47Speaker 4: create redemption for him. But I didn't as amazing as
- 42:51Speaker 4: Harrison was, I was missing a little bit of like
- 42:54Speaker 4: what got him here, you know, if that makes sense,
- 42:58Speaker 4: Like like he's trying to turn a new leaf, and
- 43:02Speaker 4: he even make the joke about shaving the mustache, you know,
- 43:04Speaker 4: like they like lean into Okay, we got a different
- 43:07Speaker 4: guy playing the character. But I almost wanted to like
- 43:11Speaker 4: again sort of the not being being shown, like not
- 43:14Speaker 4: told exactly, like seeing a different side of him and
- 43:20Speaker 4: not because he seems he comes out of the gate.
- 43:22Speaker 4: He's just like I'm a new man. And then all
- 43:23Speaker 4: of a sudden he's like telling Sam, You're not you know,
- 43:26Speaker 4: Steve Rogers, and I'm like, whoa dick move? Like like
- 43:30Speaker 4: you have no idea how he was involved in this.
- 43:32Speaker 4: It just was very hot. That's very hot and cold,
- 43:34Speaker 4: you know what I mean. But he was stellar. It's
- 43:37Speaker 4: Harrison Ford. He freaking is. He can do no wrong.
- 43:40Speaker 4: He steps on screen and it's cold.
- 43:41Speaker 3: I was thinking it would have been fun if he
- 43:43Speaker 3: would have chose to become Red Hulk, Like he had
- 43:46Speaker 3: all this stuff leading him up to it, and they
- 43:48Speaker 3: were leading him up to this point and then he
- 43:50Speaker 3: was finally like, you know what, I'm a wartime general
- 43:53Speaker 3: and I have this atomic bomb of myself here, screw it.
- 43:57Speaker 4: I'm like, he's unaware of it. As as it builds up,
- 44:01Speaker 4: he's unaware. And then all of a sudden, that little
- 44:03Speaker 4: voice you know from Stearns comes in and then he
- 44:05Speaker 4: like actually actively gives into it. That's a very interesting
- 44:09Speaker 4: thought because yeah, yeah.
- 44:11Speaker 3: That would have been neat. I don't know how you
- 44:12Speaker 3: would have done that.
- 44:13Speaker 4: But not sure. That's why we're not in the writer's chair.
- 44:16Speaker 4: But and then like I loved that.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Yeah, get Danny.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Danny Ramirez is his character. He was so great. He
- 44:25Speaker 4: was the he was the he was the Anthony Mackie
- 44:28Speaker 4: to Anthony Mackie, you know what I mean. So, like
- 44:31Speaker 4: he just brought such a lovely little humor. It was
- 44:33Speaker 4: almost like too humorous. I'm like, dude, you're like a soldier,
- 44:36Speaker 4: and it was like constant quips. But like, he was
- 44:39Speaker 4: lovely and very fun and I think embodied a great
- 44:43Speaker 4: Falcon for a new cap and he was great.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, Yeah, I loved him then that is why
- 44:51Speaker 2: I chose him as well. So I just felt like
- 44:54Speaker 2: he gave the film a lot of life. He's so
- 44:58Speaker 2: excited to be the next Falcon, very funny lines. I
- 45:02Speaker 2: thought he brought a lot to it. He was. He
- 45:04Speaker 2: was one of my favorites. I was debating for him,
- 45:07Speaker 2: honestly for.
- 45:08Speaker 3: The dude nice that Yeah, he really felt fresh and new,
- 45:13Speaker 3: which was nice.
- 45:14Speaker 4: And I liked him. He was underutilized in Falcon Winter Soldier,
- 45:18Speaker 4: and then he came into this.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, right, agreed, What do you got, Viges.
- 45:25Speaker 3: I liked Carl Lumley as Isaiah Bradley. I think is
- 45:30Speaker 3: a super compelling character. I wish they would have maybe
- 45:35Speaker 3: given him more again, still like lean into it a
- 45:37Speaker 3: little more, but I thought he did a great job
- 45:39Speaker 3: with what he had, And it kind of seems like
- 45:42Speaker 3: we're going to see maybe even a little more of him,
- 45:44Speaker 3: which will be kind of fun, maybe only for a
- 45:46Speaker 3: short while as we get into like secret wars and stuff.
- 45:49Speaker 3: But I thought he was really great. I really liked
- 45:52Speaker 3: him a lot. John Carlo Esposito, like we all said,
- 45:56Speaker 3: he's such a fine actor. That scene where he like
- 46:00Speaker 3: out of nowhere attacks Sam in the car is pretty cool.
- 46:05Speaker 3: But then just like nothing else really happens. You know,
- 46:08Speaker 3: that's just a bummer. I feel I really do feel
- 46:11Speaker 3: like they wasted him. Yeah, they and and talk about
- 46:16Speaker 3: underutilized that Shosha Rochmore, who could have been really interesting.
- 46:20Speaker 3: She was the like secret service agent for Thaddeus and
- 46:26Speaker 3: like was a friend of Sam's and I guess is
- 46:28Speaker 3: sort of like a love interest. I think in the
- 46:30Speaker 3: in the comics of sam they just didn't give her
- 46:34Speaker 3: anything to do. They kept talking about she was important,
- 46:37Speaker 3: and then she just didn't do a lot.
- 46:38Speaker 4: No, she was just like a con She's just like
- 46:40Speaker 4: a conduit for things to happen.
- 46:41Speaker 3: It wasn't like yes, yeah, so, and kind of the
- 46:45Speaker 3: same for oh, what was her name, Shira Harris. Yeah,
- 46:51Speaker 3: she just all I could think was she's so tiny.
- 46:56Speaker 3: The best I can guess is like they had more
- 46:58Speaker 3: for her to do, but she's from Israel, and so
- 47:01Speaker 3: they wanted to shy away because of the like Israel
- 47:03Speaker 3: Palestine stuff maybe or something. I don't know if that's
- 47:07Speaker 3: the reason, but it felt like, I don't know, like
- 47:13Speaker 3: why they They gave her enough development that I felt
- 47:16Speaker 3: like there had to be more, and then nothing else happened,
- 47:18Speaker 3: so just.
- 47:19Speaker 4: Kind of fizzled.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Yeah, she was a black widow, which I thought was
- 47:23Speaker 3: interesting and cool, and then just like she did kick
- 47:26Speaker 3: some ass in two scenes, but the whole time I
- 47:29Speaker 3: was just like, she is so tiny.
- 47:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all you can think about it.
- 47:34Speaker 3: It's like amazing.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Yeah, But yeah, my runner up was going to be
- 47:39Speaker 2: Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Stearns. I love him as
- 47:44Speaker 2: an actor. Like I said, it was great that he
- 47:47Speaker 2: got a little bit of redemption for the way they
- 47:49Speaker 2: ended him in The Incredible Hulk. It was kind of brutal. Yeah,
- 47:53Speaker 2: I agree, one little gripe is just like I mean,
- 47:58Speaker 2: I guess they've done it in the past, but I
- 48:00Speaker 2: don't really explain how like little flashes on a phone
- 48:04Speaker 2: is going to make somebody just do whatever.
- 48:08Speaker 4: That was super mcguffhany. They just were like, this happens
- 48:11Speaker 4: and then believe us please, and that was all right.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Also he can he can see everything, including like things
- 48:18Speaker 3: that are on a celestial level. He can see probabilities
- 48:21Speaker 3: for those things. Yeah, so just just go with us,
- 48:25Speaker 3: you know.
- 48:25Speaker 4: Right, believe us, just trust us. He can he can
- 48:27Speaker 4: see every iteration of every possible thing. But also he
- 48:30Speaker 4: got his ass whooped in the end.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Still yeah, right.
- 48:34Speaker 4: Again, I think I loved him as well, but underutilized
- 48:38Speaker 4: and also not the character like motivations in the narrative
- 48:41Speaker 4: around him not written as well. If he's supposed to
- 48:43Speaker 4: be so smart and clever, like show us how unbelievably
- 48:48Speaker 4: clever he is. Like again, he just it's just exposition
- 48:50Speaker 4: he's just like telling them what he's going to do.
- 48:53Speaker 4: I'm like, that's not what this guy that can see
- 48:55Speaker 4: every possible outcome would do, you know what I mean,
- 48:59Speaker 4: Like maybe he just doubts the human nature of the characters.
- 49:02Speaker 3: But and again, like make him set them up to
- 49:05Speaker 3: make the choice.
- 49:06Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, that's clever. That's that's that's sneaky, you know
- 49:10Speaker 4: what I mean.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's interesting. Uh yeah, any other runners up we
- 49:15Speaker 3: feel like we have to do.
- 49:16Speaker 2: I mean, the one of the best scenes in the
- 49:19Speaker 2: whole movie is when Sebastian stan Yup comes back.
- 49:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, in my mouth, I was gonna say, it's
- 49:26Speaker 4: one of my favorite scenes him coming back. It was
- 49:28Speaker 4: so genuine and heartfelt and awesome.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Yeah, he killed it really great. We know that he's
- 49:34Speaker 2: like is he running for congress.
- 49:36Speaker 4: Congress or something? Yeah, which makes Thunderbolts look that much
- 49:39Speaker 4: more interesting that he comes kind of back into winter
- 49:42Speaker 4: soldieriness after being a congressman or running at least, it's
- 49:46Speaker 4: like super interesting. How that's gonna unfold?
- 49:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, and it'll be interesting for sure. I'm excited
- 49:53Speaker 3: for Thunderbolts. I think it's gonna be great.
- 49:54Speaker 4: I'm really excited for that one. I'm super hopeful. I
- 49:56Speaker 4: think it's gonna be a choice and awesome.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I'm excited too.
- 50:01Speaker 3: What uh that's all I have? I think, Yeah, Tyler
- 50:06Speaker 3: in it. But oh yeah, yeah, it was great to
- 50:09Speaker 3: see her. I was like, cool, we find this are
- 50:12Speaker 3: But it would have been cool.
- 50:13Speaker 4: Like you said, she needed a bigger part in that
- 50:14Speaker 4: she needed to be part of bringing the humanity back
- 50:17Speaker 4: out of her dad, who's kind of a hot head. Yeah.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Yeah, And I hadn't thought about the Bruce thing. Bruce
- 50:23Speaker 3: should have been there, like even at the end or something.
- 50:26Speaker 3: I don't like teaching Thaddeus how to control them, so
- 50:29Speaker 3: should be like he did for she Hulk, but.
- 50:31Speaker 4: Bring him in as a cameo like Live Make Live
- 50:34Speaker 4: happen earlier in the movie where she helps him, and
- 50:36Speaker 4: then have Bruce come into the raft and be like,
- 50:39Speaker 4: let me teach you how to how to work on
- 50:41Speaker 4: controlling that anger or something like that, you know what
- 50:43Speaker 4: I mean. Like that would have been such like acknowledged
- 50:46Speaker 4: that these guys still live in the same universe. They're
- 50:50Speaker 4: like enemies.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Maybe they don't. Maybe that's what we're gonna learn or
- 50:53Speaker 3: something like who knows.
- 50:54Speaker 4: Oh that's a hot little conspiracy take.
- 50:57Speaker 3: I think there's I think there has to be. But yeah, yeah, anyhow,
- 51:02Speaker 3: let's talk about some of these scenes. Let's name our favorite.
- 51:05Speaker 3: It's time to name the danga is quite simple, really, dingus, Dingus.
- 51:11Speaker 3: I can talk about my dingas all night long.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Not the dingis.
- 51:15Speaker 5: Oh yeah, the Big Red Hulk, Oh my gosh.
- 51:27Speaker 4: Yeah, man, I really there were, like I said, visually
- 51:31Speaker 4: and like from a choreography standpoint, there's some pretty stellar,
- 51:35Speaker 4: like fight scenes in this some really cool stuff trying
- 51:37Speaker 4: to like utilize and show that like even though he's
- 51:40Speaker 4: not a super soldier, that Sam's still very capable like
- 51:44Speaker 4: as a fighter. So there's some rad fight scenes kind
- 51:48Speaker 4: of leaning into his agility and his like you know
- 51:50Speaker 4: that kind of stuff. Also huge bonus for him that
- 51:53Speaker 4: he just gets a vibranium suit that what I'm a
- 51:55Speaker 4: guffin right there to make it so he can survive.
- 51:57Speaker 3: All of this amazing. Yeah, good for him.
- 52:01Speaker 4: With Condon's for the assist on that one. I really
- 52:04Speaker 4: liked the dog fight around the celestial emergence thing. That
- 52:09Speaker 4: was a really good fight with like sort of these
- 52:11Speaker 4: mind controlled guys, and like the tension between like is
- 52:15Speaker 4: Japan going to counterattack? YadA YadA? That was pretty rad.
- 52:17Speaker 4: I like that a lot. And then the brief little
- 52:19Speaker 4: emotional scene with Bucky coming in and talking to him
- 52:23Speaker 4: was way up there. But like it's obviously the Red
- 52:28Speaker 4: Hulk fight scene. Like for me, it's what the whole
- 52:30Speaker 4: thing led to. They spoiled the whole damn thing to
- 52:33Speaker 4: us in the trailers, and it was it was sick
- 52:37Speaker 4: because he's just like this again, we go full rage monster,
- 52:40Speaker 4: but even with more of a like more more there
- 52:45Speaker 4: cognitively than the initial sort of Hulk raging. I feel
- 52:48Speaker 4: like had like he had it out for Sam specifically,
- 52:52Speaker 4: and it was well done. And again that was they
- 52:54Speaker 4: were showing, Wow, Sam is not invincible and he's doing
- 52:58Speaker 4: everything he can to not die against this like godlike being.
- 53:03Speaker 4: It was well done. It was like, not like I
- 53:05Speaker 4: said before, not too little, too late, but I wish
- 53:08Speaker 4: they had maybe gotten us there differently. But the scene
- 53:10Speaker 4: as a whole by itself so sick.
- 53:14Speaker 3: It's what beautiful with those cherry blossoms, gorgeous.
- 53:18Speaker 4: The vibrancy of his skin and like the little flex
- 53:21Speaker 4: of stuff burning on him. It was very well done
- 53:25Speaker 4: and made it like worth it in the end, I think.
- 53:29Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Also, they showed him getting cut the Red
- 53:32Speaker 3: Hulk getting cut by like the knives and the wings.
- 53:35Speaker 4: Like the vibranium wing stabbies.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Yeah, uh huh, that's cool. I liked that too.
- 53:39Speaker 4: Was not immortal for sure, that was Yeah, it was
- 53:42Speaker 4: really that was the best by far from me.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Yeah, man, again, very similar. My favorite dramatic scene was
- 53:49Speaker 2: Bucky talking with Sam at the hospital. My favorite action
- 53:53Speaker 2: scene was what you had said. My runner up was
- 53:56Speaker 2: the dog fight. Okay, that was awesome. The only other
- 54:01Speaker 2: thing that I wrote was very early on the fight
- 54:06Speaker 2: between Sam and Copperhead. Is his name the Big?
- 54:10Speaker 3: Yeah, Yes, that's fun.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Like that was pretty fun.
- 54:13Speaker 4: It was a good one. Yeah, it was a very
- 54:14Speaker 4: good That.
- 54:16Speaker 2: Was some good choreo. And I like that. Dude was
- 54:19Speaker 2: just so cocky and it was fun.
- 54:21Speaker 3: Just giant.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Yeah, big, I heard a rib give or something.
- 54:27Speaker 3: You need a minute?
- 54:28Speaker 2: I like, I like that.
- 54:32Speaker 4: You're right.
- 54:34Speaker 3: If we're gonna let's lean into it. If we know
- 54:36Speaker 3: we're doing this, let's go for it.
- 54:38Speaker 2: You know.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:39Speaker 4: Again, showing Sam is not as strong as Cap would
- 54:42Speaker 4: have handled out his ass on a platter Sam's Sam's
- 54:45Speaker 4: got to work for it a little more, and I
- 54:47Speaker 4: like that's a good way to show us right at
- 54:48Speaker 4: the beginning.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that also. Well, so I guess I'm
- 54:53Speaker 3: just going to add like add ons to yours because
- 54:55Speaker 3: those were mostly what I picked as well. That first
- 54:58Speaker 3: fight scene where they're sort of like storming the complex too.
- 55:02Speaker 3: That just the initial drop where he relies on the
- 55:05Speaker 3: sonic boom to then like push push everyone down. That
- 55:09Speaker 3: was a cool effect. I really liked that a lot.
- 55:11Speaker 3: I thought that was neat and super just like badass
- 55:13Speaker 3: and cool. I liked it a lot. I feel like
- 55:18Speaker 3: them also specifically saying the suit is made of vibranium
- 55:21Speaker 3: also means at some point adamantium is going to get
- 55:24Speaker 3: shown cutting the suit, you know, because that's like such
- 55:27Speaker 3: a big thing stronger, So that'll be neat someday perhaps.
- 55:35Speaker 3: I really liked that in that giant, big fight when
- 55:38Speaker 3: he throws the US flag like a javelin into the helicopter.
- 55:42Speaker 3: That was so cool really, like that was like pure
- 55:46Speaker 3: just like hell, yeah, I really liked that all It
- 55:50Speaker 3: was just really it was cool and man, they really
- 55:54Speaker 3: made the red hull c look dynamite in you know,
- 55:57Speaker 3: there was a couple of times where he didn't look
- 55:58Speaker 3: as good, but the ones where he did, he looked
- 56:01Speaker 3: like that CGI was perfect. It was really really cool.
- 56:05Speaker 3: I wrote down honorable mention to just the exposition of
- 56:10Speaker 3: the very first shot almost where they're talking about this
- 56:15Speaker 3: new that adamantium is inside of the you know, the
- 56:19Speaker 3: big the big beast. Yeah. I just love that from
- 56:23Speaker 3: world building that that might be the thing I remember
- 56:25Speaker 3: about this movie the most because it's gonna affect things
- 56:28Speaker 3: the most going forward, I think. And it just makes
- 56:31Speaker 3: me be like Wolverine, let's go, you know, like love him.
- 56:35Speaker 4: So that's good. Let's efan go.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Yeah, And just one one scene and it's just kind
- 56:44Speaker 3: of a shot. In this scene, it's when on the
- 56:47Speaker 3: plane Tim Blake Nelson is letting the president know that
- 56:50Speaker 3: he has been giving him these pills for this very
- 56:53Speaker 3: reason behind him and this is probably because I saw
- 56:56Speaker 3: it twice behind him. They're flying on Air Force one,
- 57:00Speaker 3: and it goes from sun filling the cabin through the
- 57:03Speaker 3: window behind the President as he's learning this to this
- 57:06Speaker 3: physical shadow comes over like covered by a cloud or
- 57:10Speaker 3: the or.
- 57:11Speaker 2: You know, tea mud or whatever.
- 57:12Speaker 3: It is, and it just darkens in that moment as
- 57:16Speaker 3: he realizes. And I loved that like from a pure
- 57:19Speaker 3: like visual you know, kind of like the in the
- 57:24Speaker 3: Spider Man movie Homecoming when we see like the green
- 57:27Speaker 3: light reflect in Michael Keaton's eyes, you know, when he realizes.
- 57:31Speaker 3: It felt very that kind of homage to me.
- 57:33Speaker 4: And I really love those little mirroring cinematography. Why is
- 57:37Speaker 4: that mirror? What's just say?
- 57:39Speaker 3: Nugget? I feel like I don't recognize that stuff all
- 57:41Speaker 3: the time. So oh that's cool. That's crazy done that
- 57:44Speaker 3: on purpose? Like that was neat. I really liked it.
- 57:48Speaker 3: But yeah, I think it's either the first fight scene
- 57:52Speaker 3: for me or the last one, honestly, or probably the
- 57:54Speaker 3: two if we're doing like big bombastic scenes.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think we do the last one.
- 58:01Speaker 3: Love it.
- 58:01Speaker 4: That feels that feels right.
- 58:03Speaker 3: Chosen, it feels right.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Well, let's do some quotes.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Let's show me the money, show me the money.
- 58:12Speaker 7: Show did not have a lot for this, No, this
- 58:20Speaker 7: is a hard one to harvest quotes from.
- 58:22Speaker 4: There's a couple of gems and will probably agree on
- 58:24Speaker 4: them if we have found lists, so I will I
- 58:28Speaker 4: will give one instead of all of them and then
- 58:31Speaker 4: you guys can fill in the resk. I think it
- 58:35Speaker 4: probably goes without saying that it's a more heartfelt one,
- 58:38Speaker 4: and it's the it's the Steve gave people something to
- 58:41Speaker 4: believe in, you give him something to aspire to. That literally,
- 58:44Speaker 4: that one sentence or two sentences sums up the entire
- 58:48Speaker 4: point of this movie is that Sam's not Steve, and
- 58:52Speaker 4: therefore it can't represent the same thing that Steve represented
- 58:55Speaker 4: for the world in the universe. He's just a guy
- 58:59Speaker 4: doing his best and that's all we can all try
- 59:01Speaker 4: to be is just our best selves and that's what
- 59:03Speaker 4: he's trying to be in this So that they're like, Hey, Sebastian,
- 59:07Speaker 4: you're gonna like, you're gonna give us a one sentence
- 59:10Speaker 4: synopsis of this whole film, go.
- 59:13Speaker 3: We're not showing them, so we need you to say it.
- 59:15Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, we're not show We're not showing them enough,
- 59:18Speaker 4: so let's specifically say it out loud here.
- 59:20Speaker 3: No, I did love that. It was great.
- 59:22Speaker 2: That's a good quote of the movie the movie for sure,
- 59:25Speaker 2: for sure. Absolutely, yeah, good call. Uh. And then I
- 59:29Speaker 2: only wrote down one other one and it was more
- 59:31Speaker 2: funny and it's just when Sam says, should have taken
- 59:35Speaker 2: the seerum Bucky's full of language.
- 59:37Speaker 3: Yep, you also, but those were the moments I was like,
- 59:42Speaker 3: it's so good to me, Mackie cook a little bit,
- 59:45Speaker 3: you know.
- 59:45Speaker 4: Ye, dude, he's so funny and everything else.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, go for it. I love that.
- 59:52Speaker 4: Yeah, and let him like you said, let him go
- 59:54Speaker 4: and uh. It also implies that like there's others, there's
- 59:57Speaker 4: more super soldier seerum out there that he could have
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: that could be taken by somebody, you know what I mean?
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I was, I was. I was confused by that
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: a tiny bit. I don't really remember what happened either, So.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: They glossed over it. They didn't say anything else.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it's interesting. Yeah, I don't know. I love that.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: Was that that was your only one basically, Okay, I
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: have a lot because great, I love the we get
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: the Sam's version of on your Left or I guess
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: Joaquin's version of on your Left of no Dying copy
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: that you know that he says a couple of times.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: I liked that a lot like that also is going
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: to be used to hurt my feelings later, like when
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: he's dying or something.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: That you're like, you're just waiting for the boohoo's.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Well, they're going to manipulate me at some point. I
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: just know it. I know it's going to happen. But
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: I like that. Uh we said the rip one already.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: I really liked that one a ton. Oh. I really
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: liked the the on the tombstone. This is a sad one.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: But on the tombstone it said of Fattis's wife, who
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: I don't remember her name, but keep your face to
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: the sunshine and the shadows will always fall behind you.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: I just thought that was like a really lovely little.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: That is a beautiful sent word of advice to us.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: All in a fight, the last hit is the only
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: hit that matters. I thought that was fun. That was Bradley,
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Isaiah Bradley saying that when they were doing their little
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: training montage, I kind of wanted a little.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: More of a probably wanted more of that.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Yep, that's all right, another woking one. It's a long drive,
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: so we're gonna need some snacks. And then he's like, one,
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: I invite you. I loved that. That was fun. Let's
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: see what else we got. Oh, when when Harrison Ford
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: is riding the bike and he gives up the peloton
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: or whatever he's doing, and it's like he's like, if
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: the doctor asked, let him know, I did five. And
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: she's like, I'll tell the doctor three miles in change
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: and he's like five. It was just a fun It
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: was a funny little moment. It made me think, honestly
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: of shrinking in that moment specifically, Yeah, it felt like that,
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: let's seem because I was dying. Oh. I loved the
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: when the Black Widow lady was like tall, nice teeth,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: great posture and they're talking about Bucky and then Sam
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: goes he's one hundred and ten years old and she's like,
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: I can work with that.
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: That ament. That was cute.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: That was pretty good.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: But I didn't write out rite, like write the actual
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: quote out. But I was intrigued by Stern's little mini
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: monologue in that post credits moment about the like the
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: others and needing to protect what are you gonna do
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: have protect the world from the others when they come
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: And it's like very classic Marvel Cliffhanger moment where you're like, oh,
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: what are we talking about? Bad guys? Other good guys?
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: Like that was a that tagged onto the end of
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: a really really good version of this movie would have
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: been like, oh, like Mike drop moment. It was a
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: really like they should have had Stern's cook like that
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: the rest of the movie, you know what I mean?
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I still know how he can how he can lose,
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: but also know that that they're coming.
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: Like, we can't. We can't think about it too much. Bugs,
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: we can'teah.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: O, man, that's fun. Oh and I really liked this
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: was a serious one that Sam said, I feel like
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: if I don't I let down everyone who wants a
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: seat at that table. That pressure weighs on you. It
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: makes you wonder if you'll ever be enough. I was like, damn,
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: that's a good line. And maybe how he feels about
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: having to try and be Captain America as well, like
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: you know, Anthony Mackie thinking that a little bit. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: but yeah, those were all the ones I wrote down.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Well let's move on to bugs Boohoo moments the crying game.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I picked three. There might have been more, but I
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: picked three. I picked when Isaiah Bradley is talking to
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Sam from prison after he tried killing the president and says,
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna die in here.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that was really like unnecessarily rough.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: I felt like Isaiah Bradley was doing great as the actor. Y. Yeah,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: when Betty comes to visit Ross in the prison.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely absolutely.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: And when Joaquin is he wanted to be Sam growing up?
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: So good love that. Yeah.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Yeah, those are the three.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: How many more do you have?
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: Not you?
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: How many more do you have?
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: I have four? Four more? Four more?
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: How about how about when either the Bucky scene or
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: I was going to say when Betty's talking to him
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: on the phone.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: Both of those are right when he talks to Betty
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: on the phone. And then the Bucky scene definitely got
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: me because that's also right after walking is down. Yeah,
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: and so like they're all that stuff is a.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: Critical condition and it's like super emotionally.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: Yeah, both of those got me real good.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: A right, nice, nice, nice nice.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: That's all.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: That's all I thought.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: There's two more, oh two more, and I'll just tell
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: you that I want to see just when Harrison Ford
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: they're like why why are you taking this or why
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: did you do this? And He's like, because I was dying.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: God damn it. I really I thought he really brought
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: it in that moment. I thought he was really really good.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: I almost thought that's when he was gonna lose it.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: I thought that's when he was gonna like start.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: To heat a couple of times, which I kind of liked,
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: but I rather would have just not known. And then
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: I don't know if I brought that up enough during this,
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: and then maybe you said this, I said, Bradley getting out,
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Isaiah Bradley when he gets out.
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: Nice.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: I really liked that as well. That was nice.
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: Yeah, the little the subtleties of that actors like performance
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: that really come across like that just sort of he really,
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: like you said, thought he was going to die. And
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: then that sunshine hits his face again and he gets
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: his suit back, and it's like, oh.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Well he's also old, and that chick is clearly going
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: on a date with him at the end, so we're
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: gonna see more of him yeap, and more of them
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: together perhaps nice. So that's fun. But yeah, it was
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: just just seven, just seven for a pretty okay movie.
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: A movie.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: Yeah, that's impressive.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: I did see it twice. I feel like you didn't
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: know that I saw it twice. That always. Yeah, do
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: a little bit of movie trivia here, but I kind
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: of said that one already. The final act of the
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: film is set in Washington, d C. Noted for its
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: cherry trees. Uh director Julius Ona had vivid memories of
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: cherry blossoms from having lived near DC in Arlington, Virginia
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: as a child, and to him, they aligned with the
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: film's themes of empathy since they were historically gifted from
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: Japan as a sign of friendship after World War Two.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: I thought that was.
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: Cool and scot parallel with like the tension with Japan
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: in the movie. Yeah, yeah, yep, that's nice. I like that,
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: very cool and just.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: A beautiful shot. Let's say that again.
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: Those cherry blossoms, terry blossoms, the sunset while you fight
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: Red Hulk Man visually.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: Glorious, glorious, let's see before Thaddeus Ross. The most recent
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: president in the mar Cinematic universe was James Ritzen, played
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: by Dermot mulrooney in Secret Invasion, which just no one
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: playing about because I was just moving. I didn't see it.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: I didn't even see it.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: It was worse.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: They're never going to bring it up again, apparently, so
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: don't worry about it. Presumably. Ritzen lost reelection in the
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: primary challenge or general election to Thaddy's Ross. I just
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: thought that was kind of fun.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: A little behind the scenes story stuff.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: Yeah, uh, we don't get the Marvel studios like open
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: and front Air in this, which was kind of weird.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: That felt strange.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Language they didn't get picked completely, that's weird.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: What they do instead is a it's an homage apparently
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: to the old political like kind of conspiracy thrillers of
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: of days gone by, the day of the Jackal Lis Samurai,
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: point blank and clear and present danger of the four
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: that were mentioned specifically by the director, and they were
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: trying to cap the paranoia of trying to uncover a
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: mystery within, you know, a corrupt political and military establishment.
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: So yeah, I don't know that I really got that
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: from that, but I was like, oh, I kind of
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: missed the thing.
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: But okay, I very much more missed that now that
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: you say it, than gave it language so convoluted reason
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: to not you know.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: Yeah, this was a it's only been since every film
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: since Doctor Strange though, so it's not I mean, which
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: is a lot of films obviously, but it hasn't been
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: like every single film or anything apparently.
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: So oh interesting I would have if you would have
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: asked me, I would have said, it's in every single one.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Me too, But I guess not. I don't know, but yeah,
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: let's see. Anthony Mackie is the third MCU actor to
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: receive an executive producer credit for the film. Scarlett Johansson
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: got one for Black Widow, and then Chris Hemsworth for
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: thor Love and Thunder. Okay, that's kind of fun. Yeah,
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: I don't know what that gets you. Is that just
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: like you get extra cash or something.
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you just are slightly more involved with
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: the process than the average actors school, you know.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: Good for him. In the comics, Sidewinder is a blue
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: eyed Caucasian and this is the reason why gian Carlo
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: Esposito was given the blue contact lenses during filming. And
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: they really, they really did like linger on that a
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: couple of times, and I was like, Oh, that's weird.
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: What Yeah, gave him at slightly and slightly inhuman sort of. Yeah,
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: creepiness to him for sure.
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it was. It was interesting. Oh, I thought this
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: was fun. Harrison Ford, who replaces the late William Hurt,
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: lost the Oscar to Hurt for Kiss of the Spider
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: Woman in nineteen eighty five, while Ford was nominated in Witness,
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: which is one of Rob's faves.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: Well, right, yeah, I definitely saw it.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you liked it, and not a lot of it
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: liked it. Okay, that's yeah. But yeah, they never worked together,
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: I guess, but I thought that was interesting that he
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: replaced him and they were directly in common petition, So
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: that's kind of interesting that.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: It's funny.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: In the movie, Red Hulk is just as mindless and
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: savage as early Hulk, but in the comics, Red Hulk
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: retains Ross's intelligence right from the very beginning. Like Abomination,
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: he's stronger than Hulk is originally and is only defeated
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: because Hulk gets stronger than angrier he gets. And this
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: is where I mentioned the Red Hulk gets more radioactive
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: the angrier he gets, which is kind of fun. Yeah,
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: that was interesting.
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: Yeah, there's like seven or eight different Hulks that, like
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: I'll have they come from different like origins and stuff,
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: and they're not they're obviously not all Bruce Banner, and
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: it's fascinating. They like showed that, like you said a
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: little bit with that the sizzle on his like skin,
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: like there's something a little different about him. But I'm like,
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: they could have leaned into that more, like you know, I.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Think so too, but maybe they will later, who knows,
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: maybe they will.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: Yeah, he's not. He hasn't gone anywhere. As we'll talk
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: about you.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: Sidewinder was, which is gian Carlo Esposito was added completely
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: during reshoots. So if that gives you any reason why
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: he wasn't utilized, well there you go. That's they wouldn't
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: have done that. That seems domb Yeah.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: I do feel like much.
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: Well, yeah, and then they could have spent all that
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: time actually creating sort of like tension and like political espionage,
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: sort of like stuff with this shadowy figure that we
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: end up finding out is Tim Blake Nelson and his
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: his puppet mastering of everything and not like the bait
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: and switch the poor like bait and switch again. John
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: Carlos is a legend. He's so good. But yeah, that
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: was unnecessary.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: The song that the leader uses to activate his brainwash
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: victims is Mister Blue by The Fleetwoods. This foreshadows him
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: being revealed as Samuel Stearns from The Incredible Hulk. As
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Bruce Banner and Sterns secretly communicated with each other in
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: that movie on the chat feature using the nicknames mister
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: Green and mister Blue, which I had forgot. But once
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: I read that, I was like, oh, yeah, I can
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: see them like typing that out, you know, when he's down,
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: I don't remember where he is.
- 1:13:11Speaker 4: I really remembered that, like as a key thing. And
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: so when they say mister Blue, I was like, like, again,
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: I already had seen that. It was like Tim Blake
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: Nelson on the carpet and I'm like on the red carpet, Like, okay,
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: spoiler alert, he's in this movie too. But it's a
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: really nice little callback.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: Yeah. I thought that was really neat. So, but that
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: was all the ones I had, Rob, did you find
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: any others? There wasn't a ton Obviously there wasn't a ton. No, yeah, okay,
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: no Nice, Riley, any other?
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: You covered everything? Dude? I got someone else?
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: Dad?
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Nice? Will there be a sequel Judgment Day Judgment?
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: Dud?
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: And almost certainly at this point, I don't know, I
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: feel like if not directly, then like how this was
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: an indirect sequel to in Goble Holk, you know, like
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: it's these characters are coming back in some fashion. And
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: I do think that till I think that they'll they
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: have to tie up some things with Thaddeus and with
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: some other characters and whatever the hell the leader was
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: talking about the end. You know, like, if it's not
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: a proper cap five, it's gonna be referenced in some
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: sort of sequel like capacity. You know.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: Agreed, agreed? Ah, nice, Well, rob let's play a game. Okay,
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: let's do a game.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Do you guys want to play a starting five because
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: that's what I made?
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: Hell, yeah, we we just want to play that.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Well, we could play Monopoly. I don't really know.
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: I love that game.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Okay, great, So yeah, I'm gonna name five actors from
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: a particular film. When you know the film ring in
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: with your name. If you get it wrong, there's no
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: negative points. You won't be able to guess again for
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: that movie. However, if their actors names remaining, you can
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: guess those for a point each. The other person can
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: steal if you get any of those names wrong. All
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: of these films have something in common when you know
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: the theme in at any time for a point two things.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: One thing, if my internet connection steals me from like
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: getting my name out, I don't even worry about it.
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: And then two. My brain is mush right now from
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: having a newborn.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: We'll see how this how the speed of my mind goes.
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: Here when you beat me? This is just gonna make
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: me look worse. Now. I don't like it.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: I like it, get all these things going against him,
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: but he's.
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: Really downplaying expectations.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: Here to my best best guy. Love it all? Right,
