- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Hi.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Hi.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: I guess before I started recording, I should have asked you if you know what we're talking about, because I don't.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, I do, because I spent time this morning preparing.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: That's good.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: I feel like I'm taking a role a lot more seriously than you these days.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're just the topic provider and I'm just the paid entertainment.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Kind of a la, living given my listening these days.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Um what's her name?
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Sophie Franklin and Alex Cooper.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: You're the content.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: You're Sophie.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: And um, although you don't have the story, so I don't know that that works.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Her name is Sophia.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Oh, Sophia, I'm sorry.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: I thought it was, and then I didn't want to mess it up.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Um, and also your your Wi-Fi is terrible.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Should I go off Wi-Fi?
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: It's like telling me that it's bad through Riverside, actually.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Should I go off?
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know, maybe give it a try.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Is there something going on with your Wi-Fi or something?
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Is it better now?
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Should I just go off?
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: I think I have to be on Wi-Fi to do this.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: Do you want to start again?
- 1:24unknown: No.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: You're now frozen.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, you want to start again?
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: No, it's okay.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: No, we'll just go.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Why would you?
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Why not?
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Why were you thinking you needed to be on Wi-Fi?
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: I felt like maybe I did if it was telling you about my Wi-Fi.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Well, it's telling you that it was bad.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm on, so maybe it's better.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Anywho.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Anywho.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Um, I did do some work.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: I have some notes that I took this morning.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: That's good.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: I'm ready to go.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I just at the outset, can we I I don't have Raynauds.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Renauds, Renaud's, Rhinoids.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: However, you say it.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: How do you know you don't have it though?
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: My fingers aren't blue.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: But I gotta say, I lose circulation in my fingers.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: Well, you can have poor circulation and not have renoids.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Like they're like numb and it's not that cold.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Like sometimes I'm so cold, like my fingers actually start to turn blue.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but my body is physically warm and my hands are numb this morning.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: That's weird.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: Maybe you should do some like I don't know.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna have to see what that's about.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Like, I guess I need to like do some movement or something to get like my circulation going, maybe?
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Or like are there like exercises you can do, like over your head or whatever?
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but that's the exercise.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: That's not what you're supposed to do.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Like when when my fingers go numb, I put my hands above my head.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: I thought that's what you're supposed to do.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Why would you do that?
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: You were draining all the blood from your hands.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: That would be the worst thing that you could do.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: No, I thought you don't want to put them down.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: No, you want blood circulating in your fingers that you would put them down.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Oh that's definitely not what you you would want to do, but okay, we'll move on with that.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Before we start, just a question for our people.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: I'm experiencing this issue, and I really I'm sure there's a I I know there's a thing that I can buy because you see it at certain stores.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: I think I need to have one of those things where I put a like a shroud, not a shroud, but like some sort of thing over my face when I'm getting dressed and undressed, so I don't end up getting makeup all over my freaking they do have them.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: They're like little nets, basically like a hair net for the front of your face.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: I I literally took my sweater off last night.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: It was I had been out now.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Maybe because I'm wearing, I wasn't wearing so much makeup.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Maybe like the lay of my foundation.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Are you waiting for your foundation to like dry down before you get dressed?
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: But also I also do like my setting spray and stuff, which is also a chip.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: You should wait for that to dry down.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Like I literally sit with like the back of uh dry down my face.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: But also, if you have makeup around your neck and you have a neckline sitting at your neck, I think maybe it's when I'm like this.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: My my jowls are rubber.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Yes, your jowls are dropping down so low, actually, that they're rubbing your neckline.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Like, no.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't know.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: I get it like on the collars of shirts.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: Well, the collars would to me mean you're bringing your stuff down your neck, which you should, or you're not waiting long enough to put your clothing on post-getting ready.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, maybe I'm not waiting long enough.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: And I have been trying to emphasize like a sort of glowier look, so I tend to use like a sweat.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Which I get, which is good.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: So get one of those.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: It's it's literally like so embarrassing.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: You could put a clean towel over your face.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: I should do that and just make sure it doesn't work.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Not even like try.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Like I like pulled out the shirt out.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: I did putting it on last night, and I guess when I got home, I thought.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: What are you wearing?
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Was it white?
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Like a cream gap sweater.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: And I when I I was fine, I was very careful putting it on.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: What can you do?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, unfortunately, no matter how much you let your makeup dry down, like there is going to probably be some level of transfer if it's hitting at your neck all night long.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I just literally had to just wash the necklines with like three things, and I was like, ew.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Well, stingray spot remover, not to like plug my own personal business and job, but we sell this spot cleaner, and it's apparently like amazing for one of the more specific things that it's great for is like neckline makeup.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, that is I'm happy to know that.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: They're coming up soon.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: I'll tell you when they're coming up.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: Let me know when it's on because I will I I literally did the your mother-in-law Randy's dove method.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Dawn dishap.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: Not Dove.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Dawn dish soap.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Well, I just want to make sure you're not using Dove and expecting it to do the work of Dawn.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Dawn dish soap.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: And then I rinse that, and then I sprayed it with some shell and stuck it in the wash.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, it'll come out.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: And like makeup is what it's water-based makeup.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Like it's not, it's not not gonna come out.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: But you know, for a cream color sweater, you might want to do like a little oxy boost or something.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Um, also, the other note before I before we move on, was today I was thinking because we're I knew I was getting ready to pod with you.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Like my fingers are now tingling because the the um uh feeling of the whatever.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: That's very strange.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: We pause before you say what you're gonna say.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: Can you bring me those dazzle dry nail polishes that you have?
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: I will bring it all because I will never be using it again.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: I have all of it.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: I did actually get my nails finally done after my injection into it.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: And I told her.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Do you have a dark like that or no?
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: I actually have a dazzle dry dark like that that I will bring you.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: Because I was all feeling the dazzle dry, and I'm so sad that I can't be doing it.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm also sad because she was like, You need a new set.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: So it cost me$105 for my nails the other day.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: Yesterday.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: But it is what it is.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I can't my nails are disgusting, and I've just given in and I've given up.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: And everybody I know tells me, No, you can do it, your nails will be okay.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, my nails are really bad.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: So I won't be doing that, and that's okay.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, my fingers are feeling weird.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: Um, the other thing I wanted to note is, and for some of our older listeners, this will resonate more clearly than for you.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: I was literally doing my stuff downstairs, watering the flowers, whatever, the plants.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: And I was trying to remember that I had to finish the watering, grab this, do that before, and I literally find myself making mental lists in my head because I find myself forgetting things so quickly.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: I'm just wondering, is that a bad sign or that's just normal aging?
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: Or should I be screened for like early onset?
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't think the screen could hurt, but also it's so not in our family.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, you're right.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: I guess grandma doesn't have onset.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: She's 90.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and she takes a lot of AMBN, so she's lost her mind.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: No.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Grandma's brain, for all intents and purposes, is pretty with it.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, it's so funny because she repeats herself constantly, but like she plays bridge and mahjong.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Like, she's obviously like incredibly fine.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: She I also think that that's also like an anxiety thing, like a little loop.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: Um agree with that.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: No, I think that getting screened obviously can't hurt, but I also think unfortunately that's what happens to your brain.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's very, I'm like, you found myself doing it.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: You are also a little um, like you don't dedicate to one thing at a time, which I also find difficult at the age of 30.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I would also say that my my efforts at multitasking occasionally make me a little scatterbrained.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: I just think because you're you don't dedicate to a task, you have like other things, which is being a woman, being you, being all of those things.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: But like I think that if you dedicated your brain to doing one thing, you probably would feel that you're forgetting things less.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: Possibly.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: But literally last night, as we're going to go out to for our Halloween, Mark said we were grabbing two tequila spritzers to take with us to stand while we were handing out Halloween, because because we drank like three bottles of wine.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: And um, and he said, Grab the spritzers before you walk out, or whatever he called them.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: And I said, Okay, and then proceeded to turn and walk out of the room.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, you acknowledged okay, and then I just spaced.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: Because you're not you're not like paying attention.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: That's not what was on your brain.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: I guess that's right.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so we'll see, just a couple things.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: So, how was your Halloween?
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Tell everybody about how your Halloween was.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: It was so great.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Halloween is my top five like favorite day of the year.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: I always love Halloween, but Halloween is also the anniversary of when we bought our house two years ago.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: And it's also where we live specifically.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: It's just like a joyous occasion.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: It is so fun.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: Everyone takes it very seriously.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: Like the candy is just flowing.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Our street in our neighborhood specifically, because our house is I mean, our neighborhood is like urban suburban, I guess technically they would describe it, because the houses are pretty close together.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Like, no one has big pots of land.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: So kids get dropped off in our neighborhood because they can just hit so many houses so quickly.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: So we have estimated anywhere between 200 to 250 kids last night came through the neighborhood.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: And I just we had it so much fun.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Two of our friends, like two couples, came over, one of which is our really good friends, Jacob and Hannah, who have a baby, Avery.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: She is truly just like the joy of my life.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: I love her so much, and she's perfect and so gorgeous.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: It's actually weird.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Was she dressed for the Halloween?
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Yes, they did a really cute costume.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Um, Avery was an octopus, Hannah was a turtle, and Jacob was a crab, and then they like held an aquarium in their hand.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: It was like really cute.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: And I got a really cool, cute picture of them outside in front of our gorgeous tree.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: Were you guys dressed?
- 12:17unknown: No.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Which I think I was saying to Peter, like, we should have a good one.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: I think once you have kids, you're gonna have to like go in.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: You do whatever, like you do like a costume, like the three of you.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: I said, like, we should maybe get like a I don't know, just like a hat or a something for handing out candy.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: But whatever we did in anything was sitting there with a black like sweatshirt on and she had a black, you know, witch's hat.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: And I was like, okay.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: That's what I think what people do.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Like, you get a hat, you get ears, you get whatever, but they don't care.
- 12:50unknown: Right.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: No, they'll take the candy regardless, 100%.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: And yeah, it was so great and lovely.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: We like ordered pizza and just hung out, and I made pumpkin muffins with cream cheese icing that were delicious.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: So good.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: How very home steady of you.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Well, Kelly makes this her like thing is during the fall season, she makes pumpkin loaf for people.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: So I was like, send me your recipe because I'm gonna try to make it for Halloween night.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: And then Heather, my next door neighbor, is an incredible baker.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: So I was like, send me your recipe.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Her pancake is insane.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Everything she makes is insane.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: But so I said, send me your recipe.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: And then I also asked my mother-in-law, who's also an incredible baker, to send me her recipe.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I just want to see what the consensus is here.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: So the recipes were actually all very similar, kind of highlighting the fact that it's like oil over butter in things like this, which I do always find very interesting, but it makes sense.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: So Kelly and Heather's recipes were very similar.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Kelly's was like a double recipe that I actually didn't realize until after the fact, but I used Kelly's recipe because Heather's is like a jotted down, like whatever, and she doesn't have like all the spices listed because she's like, I kind of just throw she's a good enough baker that she can use a jotted down recipe.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: I cannot, I'm not a baker.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: I bake on like once in a blue moon.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: So I used Kelly's recipe because it was like the official and it was absolutely dishes delicious.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: But one thing that I will say, so I'm not like obviously this choice was in some way like a health whatever, but we have been using um algae oil.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Are you familiar?
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: What?
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: So it's this new, I mean, I don't know how new it is, but it's new to like the mainstream cooking.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: Algae oil is a neutral oil, so it's stub in, it's first of all, delicious.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: It's a subject algae.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Are you gonna let me say it?
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: I I am, I was just asking.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: It is actually derived from it's plant oil, like it's oil from algae.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Okay, it is a neutral oil, so it replaces canola or vegetable.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: It's not an olive oil or like I mean, it's an I guess technically avocado oil is supposed to be like a neutral oil.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: But the great thing about at the algae oil is the smoke point is like$5.50.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: So you can do like cutlets, like when I when I make our cutlets.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Excellent news.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: That's what it is.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I may not know anything about that.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: So it's not a seed oil, so it's supposed to be like less inflammatory, whatever.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: But it also has like a slight buttery taste to it that is.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Oh, so it makes it taste really good.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: So I say to Peter, like, should I try using algae oil instead of the cup of canola oil that it's calling for?
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Which, like, oil is an oil is an oil, whatever.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: But I didn't want it to totally fuck it up just because I'm trying to annoyingly make like a healthy quote unquote choice.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Because I'm like, I'm not making the pumpkin muffins to be healthy.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: So Peter was like, look it up and see what it says.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: And it basically says, like, if budget is of no issue, use the algae oil because it'll be.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Comparatively, it it's like nothing.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: It's in line with like nice olive oil.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Nice olive oil.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: I got you one brand of algae oil.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: It's called the Algae Cooking Club.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: I get it at Whole Foods now, but I started seeing it on like the annoying healthy people that I follow like maybe a year ago.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: And I've never mentioned this to me.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: Well, because you don't like cook like that, I feel like.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: No, but I would substitute that for like my avocado oil or whatever.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: I use that when I'm cooking.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: But I think that you should still I don't use it really when I'm cooking, like I don't put it on like my vegetables.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: I put olive oil on my vegetables.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: Right, but I'm saying like for cutlets and stuff like that.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: I use it for cutlets.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: I use it now in baking, apparently.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: That's very interesting that it has like a buttery taste.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: So it is so these muffins, I'm like impressed with myself.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: I do think I over our oven is so bad.
- 17:22unknown: Yeah.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: That's like a whole other story.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: And like we keep playing this game, it's like, should we just replace it with a kind of cheap oven now until we're ready to renovate our kitchen, or do we just like stick it out?
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: And I was like, you know what?
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: If for the next three to whatever years we'll just be like not the best at cooking, it's fine.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: Um, because the reason I can't get the oven that I want for the renovation is I want to move our oven so I want a bigger oven so it wouldn't fit where it would go now.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: But anyway, all to say, the algae oil contributed to some delicious pumpkin muffins.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: And I made a cream cheese icing because I just think everything is better with a cream cheese icing.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: I might call on you on that for Thanksgiving.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: But look, I would be happy to.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: I the thing was I made like cupcakes rather than a loaf because I don't trust our oven.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: But I think cupcake muffins are easier anyway.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like it.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: Great, fabulous.
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: So a happy Halloween was that.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: Such a happy Halloween, and you as well.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: I have to say, it was so where we are in Northern Liberties is like we always go on our old street and it's crazy and it's all that.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: I have never walked around the neighborhood and seen the rest of the neighborhood because I was just like, oh, we're at the epicenter.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, we are, but north of Poplar on Lawrence is literally off the hook.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: So there's a lot more houses there.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: I don't even know how to explain it.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: There's a lot more houses there with uh garages.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: So everybody has their garages open, they're decorated.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: There's like parties inside the garage.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: We we Jill told us to go find the spooky garden, which I'm really disappointed.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: We walked to find it and we didn't go far enough.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: There's a garden north on fourth that starts at George, and apparently they decorate.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: I'm so mad that we didn't go back and find it.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: They decorate it for Halloween, and you basically walk through the garden and it takes you, you start on fourth, and it takes you and then drops you back off, like through the whatever on like Leithgow or Lawrence.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: And it's like a whole thing, which um we like walk to find it, and apparently didn't walk the neck the extra half a block.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Where's the entrance?
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Where's the entrance?
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Whatever, we missed it, which was a little disappointing.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: But I'm gonna be sure to check that out next year.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: But people go crazy out, I know it's so and they're just throngs and throngs and throngs of people come to that neighborhood because same as you basically no one wants people like going up to their doors or ringing doorbells and everything, especially it was such a nice night.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: So everybody is either sitting on their stoop, it's a communal.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, or everybody brings chairs and tables out, and they're just out on the street.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: The guy up the street was handing out hot chocolate and sangria.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: Another guy had like a whole bar outside cocktails.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's just so much, it's just so much fun.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: So much fun.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: It was really very enjoyable.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: The most amazing thing happened, which was not the most amazing, but it was so heartwarming.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: I actually have to send you the picture.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: I didn't send it to you.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: We're sitting and you know, the masses of kids are coming by, trick-or-trick, trick-or-treat.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: All of a sudden, this guy rolls up in a, you know, what am I the word for those things?
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: You know, you pull it like a wagon.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: I couldn't get that word because my brain just wasn't coming to me quickly enough.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: No, maybe we should have you changed.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: And I look in and I'm like, there are three babies in there.
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, cute.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: And I said, are they like Mark said, they're triplets?
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: Who's older?
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: And he said, No, because one looked a little younger, like that was like the Eileen of them.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: Oh looked a little younger.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: They were triplets.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: One-year-old triplet babies.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Were you like they were so cute?
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: I literally freaked out.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: The guy I think was like, okay, calm down.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: I was like, oh my god, I'm a triplet.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, because they were in the wagon, two of them on were on one side and one was on the other, but they were facing each other.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: So, of course, I told him the story of course of Eileen's like having Eileen having to ride backwards in the stroller, and I was like, Oh my god, God bless you guys.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: I think they actually had another one or two kids with them, which don't get me started on that.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: I was like, Oh my god.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: And I just kept on saying the guy, like, oh my god, like, good for You what for you boy girl?
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: It was, I believe it was two boys and a girl.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: So sweet.
- 22:07SPEAKER_01: They were so cute.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: They were like just in their like in their little wagon.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: And I said, Oh my god, see you next year.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: I can't wait to see you.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: And he was like, Oh, we're here over you.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: It was very sweet.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: And then I saw him later north on Lawrence when we took our walk.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I said, please don't think I'm a stalker, but can I take their picture?
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: I said, I have to send it to the show.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Send it to my sisters.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: And he was like, get in, I'll take it.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: I was like, no, I don't need me in the picture.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: I was like, let me just take a picture of the babies.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: And I have to say, it was super fun.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's so great.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they were so cute.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: They were so, so, so adorable.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: Um, but anyway, so that was Halloween.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: That's great.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Now it's November 1st.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Daily.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Now it's November.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: December 1st.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: It's um we have a big, it's a big month for our family.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: Because we are knockwood, no Kinaharas to be.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: We are welcoming a baby.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: We are welcoming a baby.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: Into our family.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: My oldest cousin is having a baby.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: We are so excited.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: I literally texted Allie this morning.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I was like, happy baby month.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Like, I can't believe we're having a baby.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: That's so cute.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: That's so sweet.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: It's just so exciting.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: I just feel like it's the first one on our side of the family.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: It's like a big deal.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: It's a very big deal.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, lots more to come.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, lots more to come.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Actually, the I was saying we had Hannah and Jacob and their baby Avery, and then our other friend, Seth and Lily, that live down the street.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Lily is whatever she is now, seven, six months pregnant.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: And she's starting to look pregnant now.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: She is the most unbelievable pregnant.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Like she looks, she like is so she's a college athlete, and then she does like F-45 like 7,000 times a week.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: She's like jacked.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: Like if you saw her from the back, like you would just think she was like the most in like insanely fit.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: She turns around and she has this like bump.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, it's so funny.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm really starting to feel pregnant.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you don't look it, so fuck off.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Like I saw her a month ago, and I could barely tell she was pregnant.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she barely looks pregnant.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: She looks amazing.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: And she's like really starting to have such a glow to her.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: And they like went stroller shopping the other day.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: And I was like, wow, it's like we're gonna have we're gonna have a baby.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: She was like, I'm going to be calling you to like for a sanity check all the time.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: I was like, You won't have to, I'll be there.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's so nice.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: I know it's the best.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: I like I like your friends very much.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: I do too.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: We're very lucky.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: We have great friends.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, November is gonna be a really good month.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: I was just like talking to Peter.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's going to fly.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: The end of the year is really just going to fly by.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Yes, it always does.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: It's just like a billion dollars.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: It always does.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: And it's like such a busy season at work for me that the week's just kind of like I open my eyes and it's Friday.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Well, that yes.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: Um, my other one final thing, did you see Heidi Klum?
- 25:03unknown: No.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: Did you see what she goes?
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: Uh you have to look it up, and if you do, you'll put it in the thing.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: It's she came as her severed left hand.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: You that's like her thing.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: She's always thinking of something stupid.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: It was so it was it was kind of broken.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: I don't under I don't even understand why it was this massive severed left hand with blood, like literally her hand exactly, with her wrinkles and her fingers and her rings.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: It's so I was like, I don't even understand.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know she goes all in for Halloween.
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: I know she does, but like I don't even like understand.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: I don't, whatever.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: It I'm sure there's a whole story about why she wanted to do that, but I just thought it was so strange.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: But whatever.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: Um, are we gonna talk about did you watch?
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: Are you prepared to discuss?
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: I'm I mean, if I needed to be more prepared than watching, no, but I feel pretty well equipped.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: Um, before we start, did you see the little TMZ thing that Whitney's gonna like?
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: It's entertaining offers to do a topless burlesque show in Vegas.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: No, but that's unsurprising.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: I don't think that's a great way to create your brand.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: But that's just me.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: Yes, well, I think she doesn't care.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Well, she might as well just make the money, how she makes money as far as I'm concerned, right?
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, good for her.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: Did we talk about the Mac campaign with Lisa last time?
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: No, because it just came out.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: I am dying.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: So last week we talked about how Lisa was lining her lips obsessively, compulsively with her MAC lip liner that she loves.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: So now was it all I don't know.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: Was it was it a setup?
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: Did somebody did she come up with the idea?
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh how could you guarantee?
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: I guess you tell the camera to shoot, you know, turn to her lining her lips over and over and it becomes a thing.
- 27:04SPEAKER_01: I would like to think it was like more organic because that would be way more fun.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: I think it would be like the organicness of it, like it's still weird and useful of like a weird compulsive thing that you need to address.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: If it was like a business move, like kind of bald.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I I don't disagree with that, but now she's in this Mac campaign.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: And she was on the front of what of their Mac Zine, whatever the heck it was.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: Like, like it's a beautiful photo shoot, by the way.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she looks great.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and she's on literally, she's part of their campaign.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: I can't remember what the tagline is, but it I mean, there's really like two types of housewives.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: There are housewives that go on the housewives, and like whether or not they they make waves on the show, their job is the show, and that's what they do.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: And we need the housewives like that.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: And then there are, I do think it is leaning more to the latter of the housewives that are creating more and more out of this opportunity, but like this is so brilliant, and she has a good team behind her, and I think that this is great.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: Did you see there's a book called Lessons from the Housewives by Lauren Napolitano?
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: No, and it's very funny.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: I just saw it on Instagram today, and I was like, I don't know what exactly it is.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: It says it's a must-read for all devoted Housewives fans.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: It goes down like a light and fun beach read, but delivers a nuanced intellectual punch.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: I'm not I don't know about that.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Not a nuanced intellectual punch.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: So this will this is the just the number one thing.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: It's this Evie Sara, as a feminist scholar and researcher, makes the point that anything that makes women happy is regarded as trash, which I don't think that's true.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: That's a stupid thing to say.
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: But like Housewives, it's like, oh, you're watching like trash TV, it's like the guilty pleasure.
- 28:57SPEAKER_01: And her point is it's actually really sophisticated television, like which, you know, it really promotes older women in large matter.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: It shows them sort of like building their brand and doing, especially now, a la, you're poor.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: True, true.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: Um, and it just it just and you know, it creates memes and it's culture and branding and whatever.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: Anyway, I I haven't picked up the book, but I just I saw it this morning and I was like, oh, that's interesting.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: Um so anyway, so Lisa's got this Mac campaign going on, which is like good for her.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: Um what do we think about the episode generally?
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was sort of it was so it was um So the other was literally Heather's Yeah, was literally the party.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: That was the like I don't know, the season is going down in a very interesting way.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: I think I think it feels more forced and less I feel like there's like set up events and not as much like we just came from San Francisco.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we're at the it's not there's not like sort of like any I don't know.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: It's yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: I mean I agree with that.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I think I don't like look the st the Britney in a vacuum in a vacuum, the Britney storyline is weird, the stealing of the flowers is weird, the whatever, obviously she has things to say about Meredith's husband, weird.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: The Ron went to Bronwyn's house and the deed and the trust and the whatever, weird, but like in the context of the show, it seems beyond unnecessary and to your point created because no one likes this girl.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: So the fact that she's even there really makes no sense.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: So it feels like she's only there to do the best, right?
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: Which is why I don't like when Broadman said you're so thirsty, which she it she feels like thirsty.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: She's very thirsty, and then but like I don't know because part of me is like she's like when didn't Bradman was like, You're a fucking ding bat, and I'm like, or you Ninkum Poop or whatever she called her.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: Like she is she is so dumb.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: It's like the fact that she was like she's not on the house, she's not getting any money.
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: Only I only saw Todd's name.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what do you you don't even know?
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: Like, you can't get you can't see the trust documents.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Well, that's why Bronwyn was saying, like, you're so obsessed with having the the deed of my house.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: Like, my house is in a trust.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: You have no idea what's going on.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: And when she's like, Well, you're not filing in open court, Bronwyn's like, yeah, so that people like you don't have access to what's going on with our finances.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: We're filing through a mediator, we're doing it.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: Why would you put that in open right?
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: But because Bronwyn doesn't understand, I mean, because Britney doesn't understand like what it is to have actual money and like need it to remain whatever.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: But she's like trying to do this thing with Bronwyn, and what I really just find so interesting.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Hold up.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: I think Bronwyn gets Hold please.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: My dog is knocking at my door.
- 32:05SPEAKER_01: What the he's gonna do?
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: Come on in me.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: So sorry.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: Come on in.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: She did that when you had to go to the bathroom.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:15SPEAKER_01: Instead of peeing and pooping all over my home.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: Which he does.
- 32:19SPEAKER_01: Anyway, back to interrupting.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Um I just think that Frontman was like, you don't want to go there with me.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: And like, I don't get why Brittany's not getting that.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: Like Well, that's my whole thing.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: It's like, I think because she's like, that's her only her only role.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: The stealing of the flowers, like what?
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, like, was that a thing?
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, she thought, I don't know.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: I the fact that she took back the ones that she gave, I thought was the weirdest.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: Well, because I think she was there after everyone, and Mary had left, and she was like, Well, no one's taking the stupid flowers.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: Was she there after everyone?
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: That's what she was saying.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: She said, I thought that they were discarded.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: So, my my thought process on the whole entire thing was that like Britney thought that the stuff there was being thrown away.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: I'm not trying to just say it said she sent Mary flowers twice, and Mary has done nothing with them, and like she's like, whatever, I'll take the stupid flowers back.
- 33:15SPEAKER_01: Well, all I know is, I mean, and I also think there was that thing at the end where they said Britney was saying, you know, you're going through a thing with your son.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: That was not a thing, clearly a miscommunication.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: And the fact that no one was like, I don't think that that's what she meant.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, they're like, oh, that's disgusting.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: It's just horrible, whatever person.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: I'm like, obviously, didn't say that.
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: That was so dumb.
- 33:42SPEAKER_01: I think she was trying to say, like, you didn't even acknowledge you didn't even acknowledge that I sent you flowers, which I mean, okay.
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: I I mean, I still think, you know, your your kid just died.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: You don't have to do shit as far as onto it.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: And like her obsession with needing Mary to like recognize her for sending her flowers twice is a whole other conversation.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: But like, I I truly, given that she sent the flowers to her twice, I don't think that she doesn't feel that her grief of Robert Jr.
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: is a hundred percent.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: Like, I think they're with that whole thing.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: But now they're all jumping on it like as a thing.
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, so I mean, that I thought was stupid.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: The whole uh thing about Justin talking to John.
- 34:24SPEAKER_01: But can say yes.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: That may be a that may be a thing that like there's like dire stuff going on.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: Although I think Lisa and John.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't I don't I don't think look, I think that to walk around like weaponizing Justin talks to John.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Like I Whitney should say, yeah, and John talks right on back, right?
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: So whether true or not, like they're chatting, and so like I have just as much on you and as you have on me.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, but to the point that Heather was making when Whitney was like, You're not defending me to Heather at the end of the night.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: I was understand that.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: I didn't really get that because I think Heather made a point of the thing.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: Heather wasn't saying anything.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: What am I supposed to say?
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: Actually, she is getting a divorce, so what you're saying sucks, or all the time.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: But it's true, like right.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: I don't understand.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: What she's supposed to do is say, no, they're great.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: Like Witty keeps saying that she's having a hard time.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: So like I don't feel that that was a moment where they weren't.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: I think Angie is really messy.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: I think she likes the entire time at the party.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: She just telling everyone shit.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: And to the point where Brahman said, I do not want you to tell me what she's saying.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: And then she's also you don't want me to tell you that she thinks that your relationship is a PR stuff.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: Which I really don't think that it is.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: I don't think it is strange.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: You think he's strange?
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: He was being like with Lisa.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know, like your girlfriend has now told you multiple, like she embarrassed her.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: And I mean, he may not be the sharpest, and he might just think it's kind of all funny and silly.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, he said you could see if you look back, I remember.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: I know you showed him like when they were doing the hippocampus, he was dancing.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: I think he's okay, but that's besides the point.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Well, who knows?
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: Who knows?
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: But I mean, we know we're not going to be seeing him forever, so I guess it really doesn't matter.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: But yeah, Angie just like literally went around the room starring the pie.
- 36:27SPEAKER_01: And I was like a very weird episode that I did not really enjoy much.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: No, it just felt all very it was like it felt like the producers were like, okay, get everyone in the room.
- 36:38SPEAKER_01: Now do that.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: And like the whole thing with Seth, Meredith's husband, like coming, getting a hug from Britney, and then like leave.
- 36:45SPEAKER_00: I I just thought the whole thing was so dumb.
- 36:47SPEAKER_01: Agree.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: It was not my it was not my favorite episode.
- 36:50SPEAKER_01: Well, they gotta pick it up.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: We're we're getting into the season.
- 36:53SPEAKER_01: I know, it's seven.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: That was seven.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: Something's something better go.
- 37:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, sure isn't like New York.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, it's different.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: I am watching um I got myself caught up on the current season of New York.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's an interesting vibe.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna be.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: I heard somebody speaking not not great about it.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm probably not gonna get there, but whatever.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: I can't remember.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: Some something on some podcast I was listening to was sort of like they were saying it was kind of not great.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: Crew of people.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Excuse me?
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: Am I boring you?
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I didn't sleep very much.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: Um, but whatever, it's like another, and I'm watching OC.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, I kind of try to keep up with all of them.
- 37:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm trying to decide whether I want to do that or try and get up on the like, which I don't think I do.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: Like, what's the offshoot of Summerhouse in the city or something?
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: Don't watch that stupid show.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: You do you watch Summerhouse?
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: Are you caught up on Summer House?
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: No, I never actually finished it.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: So I was like, oh, that would be worthwhile.
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I figure if I have downtime, if I finally finish Jersey, I'll go back to Summerhouse and get back on that.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: Like ten seasons of Jersey to watch still.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: But I mean, if well, actually, and I'm not traveling that much, so I mean when I travel, you have plenty of hang out the episodes, I'll be fine.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: Um, what else do I have on my list of things?
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: You tell me.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: You said you came so prepared.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: So what are your thoughts about Noah Wiley being voted sexiest man alive?
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: I think it's great.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: Is he though?
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: The sexiest man alive, first of all, is never actually hot.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: That's like not the point.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: It's like a personality.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: Brad Pitt and like all those things.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: And maybe not recently.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: Last year it was Jonathan Bailey.
- 38:53SPEAKER_01: I know, and I think like whatever the year before it was like John, uh, what's his name?
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Emily Blunt's husband.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Krasinski.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, like, it's it's like the guy of the moment, it's like sexy, encompassing personality, achievement looks.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: Like it's not, I don't think it's meant to be like the most beautiful man because, like he's not.
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: Well, no.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: Obviously.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: Obviously.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: But he's like kind of the guy of the moment right now.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: And like, you know, he's he's he's a big deal.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: I like him.
- 39:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: He's great.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: Um, I have to say one other pop culture thing that really pop culture podcasts.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: There doesn't have to be just one more.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: When I heard on another podcast, just want to give Holly credit.
- 39:52SPEAKER_01: You have to say.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: I am listening again, even though I have mixed feelings about it, because they are.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, sometimes like it's not, but but you know, they're something can be very entertaining.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Um, that was where I heard all that crap about Sophia Franklin and Alice Cooper.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: I really do want to read that book.
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: It's like crazy.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: Her memoir sounds like.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: Definitely read it.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to read the new autobiography, or not autobiography, but like biography of Kim Kardashian that's kind of that just came out.
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, although somebody said it's basically like it's like written by like somebody who wants to kiss her ass.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know if that's true about that.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: We'll see.
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: We shall see.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: Um, and I don't have anything bad to say about her, you know?
- 40:41SPEAKER_01: Clearly, either.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: Um the Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: Burning of the merchandise, of the wedding things.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: Fucking shocked me.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: They now I don't we don't I don't know exactly what they burned, what they destroyed.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: It's it's it's so like, and I get it, they don't want anybody having any of their shit and selling it on the internet and all that crap.
- 41:09SPEAKER_01: I completely understand.
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: I just I feel like it it was so it's just so like waste egregious and and such a$30 million worth of shit, you're just like, yeah, light a match, I don't care.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: It's so disgusting and like sort of in your face.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: We have, and I'm not saying they have to like reuse their big TNT in their home.
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: Like obviously they're not going to.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: And like that's something the question is like, what is the alternative that they store it in a storage unit?
- 41:38SPEAKER_01: I don't know, but it seemed really gross.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: I get, I totally get that.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: They trucked it to like somewhere in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania and to burn it.
- 41:47SPEAKER_01: To burn it, right?
- 41:48SPEAKER_00: Look, I you know me, I would take any opportunity to like get on the bandwagon to say something bad about her.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: But I heard it and it felt shocking initially.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: But when I really thought about it, okay, she doesn't want other people to have her stuff and like it get pulled out of trash cans.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: I think for two reasons.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: One, because she doesn't, she's private and she wanted that to be a private moment, but also because she doesn't want, I actually believe this of her.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: I think she does love her fans.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: She doesn't want her fans like paying like thousands of dollars for a napkin.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: Hundreds of thousands of dollars for things for her memorabilia.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: I think that's true.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: So I guess the alternative would have been you ship it to a storage unit and you let it collect us and you let it like the whatever allure of it die down, and maybe over time you donate it to wedding venue, like whatever you do, whatever.
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know what it is.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know, and maybe it'll it'll never not be worth a dollar.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: That would have to be year, like you have to outgrow for that stuff, and those people don't like I, you know, like if Beyoncé, I mean I I don't care about like the decor of my wedding that much, but like you know, there it would take a really long time for me to not care about something that was Beyonce's.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: Don't you remember that bottle at the concert?
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: Of course, Jay-Z's champagne bottle.
- 43:31SPEAKER_00: Um, it sat in my room for I mean, where is it even around still?
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: Or did we decide finally that we could throw it away?
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: Slater and I always joked that if we like really wanted to get ourselves into trouble, we could have um like tried to pull Jay-Z DNA off of the bottle and then like do something with it.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, we would never do that because we love them, but um exactly like any sort of memorabilia like that matters to a fan, especially a fan like Swifty.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: A Swifty.
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: So 100%.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: I just I think that the like they maybe should have kept that to themselves.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know whether it was publicly disclosed on purpose or it just came out.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, like, she's done a lot of shit under the radar.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: You can make things happen and people's.
- 44:18SPEAKER_01: Maybe they wanted to make sure that people knew that it could destroy it or and didn't buy shit like somebody saying, Oh, this is snap skin from blah blah blah blah, whatever.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, I really was trying to think of what the alternative is.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: And I think that the only other alternative would just be to like it would sit in storage for years and years, which I'm not saying it's the same waste.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: I almost feel like they should have, and look, and whatever, they have enough money, they could have paid for it to be in storage for years.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: Even if you're like, I'm gonna destroy it, let it sit in storage for 10 years and then destroy it.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: And then destroy it.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: I understand what you're saying, but like it just that's kind of like another waste of money.
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: It felt I a hundred percent, but it felt like somebody had like a big stack of$30 million, and they were just like, Yeah, that means nothing to me.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying they're reusing anything.
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: My thought on the thing also is unfortunately when you become a celebrity and also not just become like a known person, when you become Taylor Swift, that is the trade-off.
- 45:19SPEAKER_00: The trade-off is that you don't get a lot of things that are private and personal to you.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: And right, and she wanted that one thing, and she wanted that, but like, so does that mean that like it's your right to then like bur like throw$30 million in the air?
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know to protect that small amount of privacy.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: Like to me, I'm kind of like the amount that the the lengths that she's taking to protect it make it even more valuable.
- 45:47SPEAKER_00: Like, if you were just sort of fucking relaxed about it, people might care less.
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: So I don't know, it's very interesting.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: Have you seen completely unrelated to this?
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: But you know that podcast I told you to listen to Ride, that's like a two best friend, Mary Beth Brown and Babito Skinner, who are hilarious and I love them so much.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: She is dating, well, has been seen multiple times, but it's it's seeming as that they're dating Taylor Swift's ex, Joe Alwyn.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, that'll be interesting.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: I know, and she's so cool, so like the whole thing is kind of shocking to me.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: Well, is he as much of a dick as right?
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: Don't know who knows.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Who's to say?
- 46:38SPEAKER_01: I guess we'll find out.
- 46:40SPEAKER_00: We will find out, but I do, yeah, and another in other dating news, Olivia.
- 46:46SPEAKER_01: I did see has a new man.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: So I thought she was dating Taylor Fritz, who's the tennis player.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: Apparently, she's not.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: She's dating this art curator, whatever person who used to date Mary Kate Olsen, which is right, which is interesting.
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's truly shocking that one person could date those two people.
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: He's also like 45 and she's like three or two.
- 47:12SPEAKER_01: I think a little weird.
- 47:14SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it's interesting, but stuff like that doesn't matter so much in the world that they live in.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: No, I just thought, you know, that, yeah, you're right.
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: It doesn't.
- 47:26SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, I just that that that Taylor thing kind of like threw it.
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: I I right, and I don't I don't know what the gross.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 47:39SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, like, if you really try to strategize, but I don't know what the answer would be for them.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: I don't have a good solution.
- 47:46SPEAKER_01: I literally my answer is pay because millions of dollars every year to store it because you can afford it, and then 15 years from now, whatever, you can quietly start going away.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: I mean, I get not wanting anybody to have it.
- 48:00SPEAKER_00: I guess the idea being like that just leaves opportunity for things to get stolen.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: Stolenly 100%.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: So this was like A to B.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: Done.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: Done.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, you're right.
- 48:13SPEAKER_00: It's clean.
- 48:13SPEAKER_00: I I mean, can I just be fair?
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: Like the fact that that was even a thought, like it wouldn't even I wouldn't even think to do that.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 48:23SPEAKER_00: Which is like how crazy I guess you have to be about trying to protect yourself.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, I'm looking out my window right now.
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: We have these neighbors across the street, and they've had this dog the entire two years we've lived here, and literally one day they just have a different dog.
- 48:40SPEAKER_00: I'm so happy by the situation.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: So Peter's idea, I don't want to ask, obviously.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: Peter's thought is that they were fostering, and that dog took two years to foster and got it.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: But two years they've had this dog.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: Like, it's not like they've had the dog for six months, and then now they're fostering a new dog, which would make me happy.
- 48:59SPEAKER_00: That's it's amazing.
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: But it's just-I don't know, like the whole thing is so interesting to me.
- 49:03SPEAKER_00: But this new, very, very cute dog on the block, I just saw her walking.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: Speaking of dogs, rest in peace to Sir Patrick Stewart, a strong advocate for pit bulls and fosters and rescues.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 49:18SPEAKER_01: And he was also awesome in a whole host of other ways, and an amazing actor.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: But he was apparently, which I did not know.
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: I knew that he did a lot of stuff in the rescue space.
- 49:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I did.
- 49:31SPEAKER_00: I I guess I just did not.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: But you know what's so interesting, Peter and I were just talking about this.
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: How just, I mean, maybe not in every circle.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: So this could just be biased of who we know and what we think of, but how just the status symbol of owning a dog has turned so much in that it's like we look down on people who buy dogs for thousands and thousands of dollars, and like the the cool sheep, whatever, like the wealthy person thing to do is to rescue.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, like, that's the thing.
- 50:07SPEAKER_01: Although I don't I don't know if that's entirely true.
- 50:09SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
- 50:10SPEAKER_01: Maybe that's just what we I think that's just in our world.
- 50:13SPEAKER_01: The life that we subscribe to, right?
- 50:15SPEAKER_01: Because I think there are plenty of people who are still purchasing dogs, and there are.
- 50:21SPEAKER_01: So, that all that to say.
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: Um, so here's my little capper, given the fact that it's 50 minutes in.
- 50:29SPEAKER_01: We've still managed to talk about a bunch of stuff.
- 50:31SPEAKER_01: I had I had like fun questions just to wrap us up.
- 50:35SPEAKER_01: A little rapid fire.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: Love it.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: Ready?
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: Ready.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: Are you answering them or I'm answering them?
- 50:41SPEAKER_01: We're both answering them.
- 50:43SPEAKER_01: Got it.
- 50:44SPEAKER_01: Everyone should stop pretending they like what?
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: Taylor Swift.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, honey, you're gonna anger a lot of people with that one.
- 50:56SPEAKER_01: I'm okay with that.
- 50:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just that's just how I feel.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: I don't even know what I would.
- 51:03SPEAKER_01: I don't I like I wasn't gonna say, I was like thinking like you were gonna say Greek yogurt.
- 51:10SPEAKER_01: Well, it's a good one.
- 51:12SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't I don't even like know what I would say to that.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: Everybody should stop pretending.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 51:19SPEAKER_01: I would have to say like really heavy metal, but obviously that's a wrong opinion because people do like it, but I don't like it.
- 51:26SPEAKER_01: So same as your Taylor Swift commentary.
- 51:29SPEAKER_01: Um I will die on the hill, that I will die on the hill.
- 51:44SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 51:45SPEAKER_01: I literally I just pull these out.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: I would win, it might be like a little bit like whatever to just rapid fire them.
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: I I guess there should be like a category, I guess, but I will die.
- 51:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, like if we're just gonna go like silly.
- 52:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, whatever you want to say.
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, I will die on the hill.
- 52:06SPEAKER_00: That chocolate is better than like gummy candies just because we were talking about the hill.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, we were talking about that last night as well, because when I I was like reaching into the candy ball, and Mark is just so annoyed by anybody who reaches for like a Twizzler's or a gummy or anything like that.
- 52:23SPEAKER_00: Halloween mini twizzlers are like specifically good, but generally, like chocolate over gummy always, no matter what.
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: But I know people disagree, like Peter Saver Candy is like sour patch kits.
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I enjoy I enjoy a Mike and Ike, but like I would just if if but like one was placed in front of me, right?
- 52:45SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: That wouldn't be my first go-to.
- 52:47SPEAKER_01: There are times when I'm like, I definitely enjoy that taste profile.
- 52:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:51SPEAKER_01: Um by Okay.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: And you it's so funny.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: I like having like such a hard time with that.
- 53:00SPEAKER_01: I just have nothing in my emotions.
- 53:02SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 53:02SPEAKER_01: Well, they were, they were like in my when I asked Chat to come up with stuff to us like to talk about.
- 53:08SPEAKER_01: Um okay, so move on.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: We'll move on.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: The most overrated celebrity is well, I've already answered that question.
- 53:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, okay, so not Taylor Swift.
- 53:19SPEAKER_01: Pick somebody else.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: The most overrated celebrity.
- 53:24SPEAKER_01: I know who I say, which maybe I don't know.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: Matthew McConaughey.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, my husband's not gonna like that answer.
- 53:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, I shouldn't say that because I know he's very good.
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: Sometimes I just think he's like he's a bit much at times.
- 53:39SPEAKER_01: You brought his accent in just to say that.
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, I agree with that.
- 53:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, like, I'm I'm I I feel like I'm bad because like now I'm going back and like thinking of like Interstellar and like whatever.
- 53:50SPEAKER_01: And like he's obviously a good actor.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: I just sometimes I'm like, unfortunately, just because like of what I've been reading the past couple days, a la nobody wants this discourse, blah blah blah blah blah.
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: The most overrated celebrity right now is Dak Shepard.
- 54:12SPEAKER_01: Wait, I don't know what you're gonna say about that because um I thought you were going somewhere completely different with that.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: Well just was Kristen Bell and Dak Shepherd, the way that they speak and particularly like speak about their marriage and their relationship, like I don't know, he's like one of the top selling podcasters in the space, and I just think he's like very weird and kind of creeps me out.
- 54:40SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 54:41SPEAKER_00: His podcast is pretty good.
- 54:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't listen to it, but I thought you were gonna do something with like Adam Bryan, I wasn't gonna get into that whole thing.
- 54:52SPEAKER_01: Um no, I just somebody like just passed into my mind, maybe it'll come back.
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: Um, because I was like, I wouldn't say that.
- 55:00SPEAKER_00: Like I wouldn't say, but my actual answer, just to be fair, is still Taylor Swift.
- 55:05SPEAKER_01: That's my answer.
- 55:06SPEAKER_01: Oh I don't know.
- 55:09SPEAKER_01: I love that one song, it's just hilarious.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: That I but that's not we're not I didn't say that she doesn't make catchy music, like I never said that.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: But like if we're talking about her and being overrated, I think just like what she puts out is incredibly mediocre.
- 55:28SPEAKER_00: But that's who the consumer is.
- 55:30SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm gonna say, at which I I don't have any basis to say it because I know she's actually very good at what she does, but given a lot our conversation about Sophia Franklin is could be most overrated.
- 55:40SPEAKER_01: She's not so overrated, but Alex Cooper.
- 55:43SPEAKER_00: I do first, I think she's a pretty smart businesswoman.
- 55:46SPEAKER_00: Just she's what she's created.
- 55:48SPEAKER_00: Literally, like but you know, there's Dr.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: Brian right off from a whole bunch of people.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: But that doesn't make you underrated.
- 55:55SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not saying that makes her underrated.
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: I'm saying is she actually a good interviewer?
- 56:03SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of questions about that.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: That's a fair, that's a fair idea.
- 56:06SPEAKER_01: And could she have got there without all of the one?
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: I think that you're you're kind of in a Sophia Franklin rabbit hole right now.
- 56:17SPEAKER_00: But like to be fair, as someone who knew listened to Call Her Daddy when it was on, yeah.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: Alex Cooper was the star of the show.
- 56:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 56:28SPEAKER_00: Well, there you go.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, their their relationship was, but like it's a it's it would like it's like being surprised that Kim is the breakout of the Kardashians.
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: Like, it's not surprising.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: She's the main character.
- 56:40SPEAKER_00: Like, she it's just like that is what it is.
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: I don't find that surprising at all.
- 56:43SPEAKER_00: And I'm not like trying to take anything away from Sophia Franklin.
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, like, it's not surprising.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: And look at the business that she's built for herself and look at what Sophia Franklin has built for herself.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: Like, if she was really the main character, she would have been fine.
- 56:58SPEAKER_01: Fair point.
- 56:59SPEAKER_00: So she wouldn't have needed a barstool deal.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: Sirius would have been calling her, iHeartRadio would have been calling her, Dear Media would have been calling her, and I'm understand where she is now and she's getting there, but I'm just saying it's been six years, seven years.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: Like she wasn't.
- 57:17SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 57:17SPEAKER_01: Fair.
- 57:18SPEAKER_01: So fair, fair, fair.
- 57:21SPEAKER_01: Um let's see.
- 57:27SPEAKER_01: The worst fashion trend ever was.
- 57:31SPEAKER_01: Ever?
- 57:32SPEAKER_01: That's the question.
- 57:35SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't know whether you have to be specific or years, whatever.
- 57:38SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna say, like, generally 80s, we should just not.
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: I was just gonna say, yeah, the 80s is like, and to be honest, it's like not really something that everyone anyone references.
- 57:47SPEAKER_00: Like, we don't come in the 60s, we go back to the 70s, we go back to the 90s, we go back to the early 80s to go because it's probably skippable.
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: I think you're right.
- 57:56SPEAKER_01: The 80s is a great answer.
- 57:58SPEAKER_01: Now it's funny because there was a lot of fun, like disco era, whatever.
- 58:02SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, it was a fun skip.
- 58:05SPEAKER_00: Stuff does get pulled on, but I think it does, but not color-wise, color story, but I I just think it's of all the time periods, it's definitely, you know.
- 58:21SPEAKER_01: We could skip it.
- 58:22SPEAKER_00: It wasn't refined in any way.
- 58:25SPEAKER_00: It was kind of like a free-for-all.
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: It was not, it was not at all.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: Um, what about best music era?
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: I do, I mean, I am biased.
- 58:41SPEAKER_00: Like of my life of music that I listen to, it's the early 2000s.
- 58:46SPEAKER_00: 2000s.
- 58:47SPEAKER_00: But like in the hip-hop and RB space.
- 58:50SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 58:50SPEAKER_00: But probably in life, like of music generally.
- 58:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, like, I'm not sure, does it get better than like 60s and 70s rock and roll?
- 59:07SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't think it gets better.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: I think that that's music.
- 59:10SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 59:12SPEAKER_00: So probably ever it, I mean, not ever.
- 59:15SPEAKER_00: I don't want to discredit like that there was music taking place in the world.
- 59:19SPEAKER_01: No, but if you like line like 50s to 60s, like, you know, you go from like um, you know, the Frank Sinatras and the whatever of the world, and then you know, get into the Beatles, and then you've got the Rolling Stones, and like the evolution of music during that time period.
- 59:34SPEAKER_00: Is that Dylan when I think of music, that's what I think of.
- 59:39SPEAKER_00: When I think of the history of music, like you said, I think of the Beatles, the stones, like all of those rock bands is what comes to mind.
- 59:50SPEAKER_00: So I think that that would be the answer.
- 59:52SPEAKER_01: Right, but I think Fairpoint on the like for like hip hop and rap, definitely early to 2000s.
- 59:57SPEAKER_01: Like late 90s, early 2000s.
- 59:59SPEAKER_00: It's just like it's unbeatable music.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_00: And I'm so I feel so lucky that that's the music that I got to like fall in love to music too, because I think about like the music.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_00: I don't mean to say anything bad about artists now, and they're very in like talented people, but I think about like the who my kids are gonna, and of course we're gonna influence their music, so that's great, but who they're gonna grow up like wanting to go to their concerts, and I'm just like uh so blah, so drab out there.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_01: Who knows what's I know it's gonna look like?
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_00: I I try not to think about it because I hope that we don't let the joy of like true live music and like real artists go away.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: But we talked about that last week.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: We don't we're not gonna go there.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, next, or is that?
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_01: I mean, I could get do another one, or we could wrap it up.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_01: Let's do one more to close her out.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_01: A good one.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_01: A good one.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_01: If I could permanently eliminate one modern invention, I would eliminate.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_01: Well, a la our conversation, but I don't want to get rid of AI.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_01: Last night we were at dinner and we were with Jill and Marco, and Jill's like, we need to stop it.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_01: I'm like, that ship is so.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_01: That's not happening.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_01: We're not gonna talk about AI, but what's the modern invention?
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, would you get rid of social media?
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_00: I'd get rid of it as it is today.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_00: I would, because I just think it is so Yeah, I kind of agree.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_01: I I go back to the Facebook days.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, but like, but truly, I I think about this and I don't know.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: That was so sweet.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_00: You'd like post your stories and don't really like social media.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_00: I don't want to take social media away because one thing that I always think about is like social media has created the influencer boom that is a multi-billion dollar business led by women.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_00: So I try to be like really careful about that because I do would not want to take that away from like women being able to be their own bosses and make the money that they make doing what they pursue.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_00: But if there would, if I could tweak the question and there would be a way for us to rework social media as it is today so that that could still exist, but we are you know more careful about the like humility and mental health of the user, that's what my answer would be.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_01: I love that answer.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_01: I think that's a perfect way to end.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_00: Great, because we're just women empowering women.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we are, and yeah, you know, send that up to whoever takes notes on how we can better society because actually, if we could do that, I think things would be much better.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_01: I don't see it happening anytime soon, but you never know.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_01: You never know.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, and before we go, what when this episode drops, it will be election day.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_01: So let us remind everybody.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_01: Spread the vote.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_01: Hit that, we should have hit that at the top of the hour, so maybe when we tag our episode, we'll do a little thing to remind people that this episode is dropping on election day.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_01: Your vote matters.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_01: And boy, does it really today in our world?
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_01: It really does.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_01: Everybody say a prayer.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_00: I'm trying.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_01: So I'm doing all I can do.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_01: Well, just make sure you get out there on election day and cast your ballots.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_01: Get out there and vote.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_01: See ya.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_01: Love you.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_01: Bye.
