- 1:28Speaker 5: How are you today?
- 1:29Speaker 4: Pal? I am doing pretty well. I I'm well rested.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I came home off of tour.
- 1:37Speaker 5: We did.
- 1:38Speaker 4: We just started the jukebox tour, Yeah, which has been
- 1:43Speaker 4: pretty fun. It's been been using my brain a lot.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I know, how many shows did you guys do it
- 1:49Speaker 2: before you came back?
- 1:50Speaker 5: We did four shows? Yeah, four okay yea, And the.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Show is switched up, but not like a crazy amount
- 1:58Speaker 4: like people really have have They're like four songs that
- 2:02Speaker 4: they for people that don't understand the jukebox tour that
- 2:05Speaker 4: we are doing.
- 2:08Speaker 2: It.
- 2:08Speaker 4: We're making it so that the audience actually votes on
- 2:11Speaker 4: what songs we're going to.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Do, which is fun.
- 2:15Speaker 5: It's fun and a lot of work, but fun, a.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Lot of work. We learned a lot of songs, but honestly,
- 2:21Speaker 4: we've probably only switched out like six songs.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Maybe funny interesting.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Yeah, we've switched up the order a few nights just
- 2:29Speaker 4: for like flow and stuff. But but yeah, people kind
- 2:33Speaker 4: of like the songs that they like.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Which ones are they picking?
- 2:38Speaker 4: The number one every time has been Country Roads, really.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Which has been crazy a great song, don't get me wrong,
- 2:46Speaker 2: but just.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Like yeah, and it's been Country Roads, Ring of Fire
- 2:51Speaker 4: and Sea Shanty Medley.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Well Medley Now, but I was like country Roads not
- 2:59Speaker 2: a terrible heart saying, so that's kind of nice. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 2: I get although I don't know your version all that well,
- 3:05Speaker 2: so maybe I'm wrong about that.
- 3:07Speaker 4: It gets up there, but it's but it's yeah, I mean,
- 3:10Speaker 4: I love a.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Beautiful and like chill though, but you know that's nice.
- 3:16Speaker 4: But dude, I've been sleeping so poorly on that bus.
- 3:21Speaker 4: It's just been brutal and it's been a variety of
- 3:24Speaker 4: different reasons.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Why sure, But last.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Night I got to be at home and I slept
- 3:32Speaker 4: so good. That's great, wonderful. So uh and then tonight
- 3:37Speaker 4: I'm gonna fly back out. We got our next show
- 3:39Speaker 4: in Green Bay and then meiwalk and then.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Are you Bay tonight?
- 3:44Speaker 4: Then I'm gonna got a Green Bay tonight. Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 2: It is nice, dude, very cool. Yeah.
- 3:50Speaker 5: How have you been good? Good?
- 3:53Speaker 2: Just doing the thing, enjoying this nice cold weather. It's lovely. Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Are you doing anything for Halloween?
- 3:59Speaker 2: I don't know yet. It's too far away. I'm not sure. Okay,
- 4:04Speaker 2: there was talk about going. I might go to Brandon's
- 4:06Speaker 2: and hang out because he does it up so big. Yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 2: it's like that could be kind of fun to just
- 4:11Speaker 2: go hang out. It's Halloween's a weird one because I
- 4:17Speaker 2: want to participate, but also do not have kids, and
- 4:20Speaker 2: I'm a weird old man, so like, you know, yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 2: I don't want to be weird about things.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I get it, I get it. Do do you get
- 4:27Speaker 4: many trigger treaters at your place?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Now? I've never had a single one here.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Ever, you should go to Brandon's. That's that part, that's kind.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Of I was like, oh, that'd be fun. I also
- 4:35Speaker 2: thought about maybe seeing what the posts we're doing. It's
- 4:39Speaker 2: fun to be around kiddos on Halloween. I feel like,
- 4:41Speaker 2: you know, that's what it's all about. So I probably
- 4:44Speaker 2: will end up going to Brandos and just hanging out
- 4:46Speaker 2: and talking smart and then we'll give a bunch of
- 4:48Speaker 2: candy to kids. It'll be fun.
- 4:50Speaker 4: That'll be fun. Yeah, we're doing our first time we've
- 4:53Speaker 4: ever been on a trip during Halloween.
- 4:55Speaker 2: I know. I'm excited to hear what you guys think though.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I think that'll be fun.
- 4:58Speaker 5: We're going down to Golf Shores.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I have never been a week yeah, so we're going
- 5:03Speaker 4: to be there with Paul Kelsey's family. There's going to
- 5:06Speaker 4: be a bunch of other kids too, so we're all
- 5:09Speaker 4: bring costumes down there and yeah, see how.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It comes fun. That's fun.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Yeah, it'll certainly be warmer.
- 5:18Speaker 4: It definitely will be. Ye, my costume will have shorts involved.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm usually do too, Yeah they do if that really?
- 5:29Speaker 5: Yeah, usually it's just a bedsheet.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. I really was lazy and also, just for
- 5:36Speaker 2: no explicable reason, very comfortable with my body.
- 5:40Speaker 4: I've always admired that about you.
- 5:43Speaker 2: It's not like I it was deserved to not think
- 5:47Speaker 2: that way, but man, I really just went with it,
- 5:49Speaker 2: went it is what it is. Gang.
- 5:51Speaker 5: I don't know what to tell you. I loved it.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Anyhow have you been watching any movie I have?
- 6:01Speaker 4: And I know you watched this movie. You saw this
- 6:03Speaker 4: movie before I saw it. Oh, I got to watch
- 6:08Speaker 4: this on a plane when I was going to tour.
- 6:11Speaker 4: I like it, and it's the most I've cried in
- 6:14Speaker 4: the movie in a very long time.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Oh you're talking about it first. I love it.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I love it, And I'm talking about the John Candy
- 6:22Speaker 4: I like me documentary.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Dude, I mean, right, what are we even doing?
- 6:30Speaker 4: I mean I was I was bhooing in the opening credits.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I mean I felt like you. I was like I
- 6:38Speaker 4: probably cried like fifteen times throughout this thing.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It was so lovely and also made me realize I
- 6:43Speaker 2: knew so precious little about that lovely man.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I knew, I knew a bit, but I did not
- 6:49Speaker 4: know about all of his struggles towards the end of
- 6:52Speaker 4: his life. Yeah, and so that happened me out for him.
- 6:57Speaker 4: But oh my gosh, it was just he was just
- 7:01Speaker 4: such a huge part of my childhood and seeing his
- 7:04Speaker 4: friends and peers talk about him with so much respect,
- 7:09Speaker 4: it was just really heartwarming. It was tragic he was
- 7:13Speaker 4: so young when he passed away.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:17Speaker 4: I just thought it was a really wonderfully well done
- 7:21Speaker 4: doc by Colin Hanks getting Cynthia Revo to cover every
- 7:26Speaker 4: time you go, yeah good, oh, just like come on,
- 7:32Speaker 4: it was incredible. I yeah, I can't say enough good
- 7:36Speaker 4: things about it. I adored it. How did you feel
- 7:38Speaker 4: about it?
- 7:39Speaker 2: I loved it as well. Also, was just crying the
- 7:43Speaker 2: whole time. It was it was really beautiful just to
- 7:47Speaker 2: see a life that was like, really well lived, even
- 7:49Speaker 2: though it was short lived. And you know, that is
- 7:51Speaker 2: a tragedy that it was. But also like he did
- 7:53Speaker 2: a lot of stuff, which is cool.
- 7:56Speaker 4: I had no idea he owned the Canadian football team.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I didn't know any of that. Yeah, like, yeah, I'm
- 8:02Speaker 2: with you. I thought that was crazy, and I really
- 8:04Speaker 2: find the the stuff about them, like, you know, trying
- 8:08Speaker 2: to make it together and you know, all that stuff
- 8:11Speaker 2: with obviously I knew he was in the SVTV and
- 8:15Speaker 2: all that stuff, but I guess I just I like
- 8:17Speaker 2: that that kind of stuff, you know of maybe because
- 8:20Speaker 2: that's the part of the entertainment business I went through to,
- 8:23Speaker 2: you know, so it's like a nostalgic in a way,
- 8:25Speaker 2: but just the like trying to make it and the
- 8:28Speaker 2: people you meet and stuff. I just loved it.
- 8:31Speaker 5: How crazy was that cast? I'm sorry to interrupt.
- 8:33Speaker 4: How nuts was that group of sctop folks.
- 8:36Speaker 2: They're insane, like it's everyone wonderful and there was even
- 8:41Speaker 2: people I forgot were a part of that that I love.
- 8:44Speaker 2: You know, what was her name? The one lady I
- 8:47Speaker 2: was like, oh my god, yeah, duh, I didn't even
- 8:50Speaker 2: think of that.
- 8:50Speaker 4: But no, Catherine O'Hara.
- 8:52Speaker 2: No, certainly not her, like she was one of the
- 8:55Speaker 2: other anyway, it doesn't matter, but someone I was like, oh, yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 2: I forgot she was from that stable as well, you know,
- 9:04Speaker 2: just wonderful. And I will say it is terribly sad,
- 9:08Speaker 2: you know, at the end of the movie, obviously because
- 9:11Speaker 2: we all know how it ends with him dying, but
- 9:14Speaker 2: it is mostly uplifting. I thought, you know, it's emotional,
- 9:19Speaker 2: for sure, but I thought mostly it was just celebrating
- 9:22Speaker 2: a cool guy, and you know, I mean, that's a
- 9:26Speaker 2: pretty good life, right if everyone's just like he was
- 9:29Speaker 2: the best, and you know, I wish I kind of
- 9:32Speaker 2: wish he would have saw that maybe a little bit more,
- 9:34Speaker 2: but he was the best, you know, I don't know.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I just think that's great.
- 9:38Speaker 4: I thought Benny said it so well where he felt
- 9:41Speaker 4: like he was a part of the family.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yes, I think that's such a good call because I
- 9:47Speaker 2: that's one of those things where you're here and you're
- 9:49Speaker 2: just like, yes, I also feel that way, and never
- 9:52Speaker 2: thought of it that, you know, exact way, but yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 2: totally with you. I have since watched like Uncle Buck
- 9:58Speaker 2: and stuff, so tell.
- 10:00Speaker 4: You that we So we had watched Uncle Buck the
- 10:04Speaker 4: night or two before I watched The Dock, which was
- 10:06Speaker 4: so much fun.
- 10:08Speaker 2: And it was funny because I had done the same randomly,
- 10:10Speaker 2: maybe just because everyone was talking about the doc or something,
- 10:13Speaker 2: you know, that I was like, oh, I'm gonna throw
- 10:16Speaker 2: this on now, and what a delight.
- 10:19Speaker 4: That's for sure the most adult thing that the kids
- 10:22Speaker 4: have seen so far.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Did we talk about that?
- 10:25Speaker 4: They did pretty well. I mean I just had to
- 10:28Speaker 4: explain we don't say those things at school, not remember
- 10:34Speaker 4: that at all. I mean it's a ton but yeah,
- 10:39Speaker 4: there's the one scene at the party where like Bug
- 10:45Speaker 4: is taking.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Advantage of a young woman in that did not sit.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Well with with the kiddos at all, which it shouldn't, right,
- 10:52Speaker 4: but we kind of had to talk about that and
- 10:54Speaker 4: consent and all that, and well, it's.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Just so like you feel uneasy, right even if you
- 10:59Speaker 2: don't know what's happen, you know, and your kids are
- 11:01Speaker 2: such you know, sweety pies with big feelings.
- 11:04Speaker 5: That so that over well.
- 11:07Speaker 4: But yeah, I immediately had Charlie call my dad and say,
- 11:12Speaker 4: it's old Buck Melano, my head's calling and he died.
- 11:18Speaker 2: So your dad loved that.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Loved also.
- 11:23Speaker 2: By the way, sorry to go back, but yeah, yeah,
- 11:25Speaker 2: the Macaulay Culkin stuff I thought was some of my
- 11:29Speaker 2: that doc same and I never thought about I don't
- 11:33Speaker 2: know it just I was just like, oh, okay, cool,
- 11:36Speaker 2: and he said some stuff in there too, like you know,
- 11:39Speaker 2: I guess big time. I knew that, like his family
- 11:44Speaker 2: life wasn't great McAuley's or whatever. But when he was
- 11:47Speaker 2: like he would check on me and all that, I.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Was just like, wow, that's it was so cool the
- 11:52Speaker 4: stuff he said, the stuff mel Brooks said.
- 11:54Speaker 5: I mean, yes, I just yeah. They were just so beautiful.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And Mel's getting so old. I love him still, he's
- 12:01Speaker 2: still so great. But man totally was like males looking
- 12:05Speaker 2: old old Now.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean he's he's well into his nineties, so he's.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I think he's ninety five or something right. Four. Yeah, Yeah,
- 12:14Speaker 2: it was lovely. It's on Prime if.
- 12:15Speaker 4: You want to John Candy, I like me which and
- 12:19Speaker 4: it is also the perfect title, the perfect title.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I can't wait to watch Plain Strains again. You know
- 12:26Speaker 2: this Thanksgiving? Yeah, I feel like it's going to be
- 12:28Speaker 2: again extra special. I don't know, it's just fun.
- 12:31Speaker 4: It's great with you.
- 12:35Speaker 5: What about streaming? Have you been streaming streaming?
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah? I well, this one does actually tie in with
- 12:40Speaker 4: like a Halloween he kind of movie.
- 12:42Speaker 5: How fun.
- 12:43Speaker 4: I wanted to try and do that, and I did
- 12:47Speaker 4: what you did a few months ago. I went back
- 12:50Speaker 4: and I watched twenty eight days later.
- 12:53Speaker 5: Oh cool, nice.
- 12:55Speaker 4: That's on Netflix. I had never seen it before either. Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 4: the third one is also on Netflix and the second
- 13:03Speaker 4: one is on Hulu. If people are wanting to nice
- 13:05Speaker 4: to do that cool. But I was super impressed with that.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Film felt very low budget, but they still did some
- 13:13Speaker 4: really cool things, like walking through London by don't.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Understand how they did that with it being so low budget.
- 13:22Speaker 2: It's crazy early in the morning or something.
- 13:24Speaker 4: I actually just saw a thing. Yeah, it was pretty practical.
- 13:27Speaker 4: They didn't have to do much. It was just, yeah,
- 13:31Speaker 4: it was at like five in the morning, and somehow
- 13:34Speaker 4: I think they were able to kind of make it
- 13:35Speaker 4: look brighter than it was.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Sure, Sure, and maybe they did like it's a bank holidays,
- 13:42Speaker 2: you know, so there's even less people, so that was nuts.
- 13:47Speaker 4: But yeah, Killian Murphy, Naomi Harris, Brendan Gleese, and I
- 13:53Speaker 4: didn't even know he was in it going into it,
- 13:56Speaker 4: so that was awesome. It was it was great. I
- 14:01Speaker 4: liked it a lot, and I mean it's it's very scary,
- 14:05Speaker 4: you know. There were times where they're like having to
- 14:08Speaker 4: do something before they can run away, and you're like,
- 14:11Speaker 4: come on, get it, just come on. It was really
- 14:15Speaker 4: well done. I was glad. I watched it to check
- 14:17Speaker 4: out the other ones as well.
- 14:18Speaker 2: That's a great I see why they made you know
- 14:21Speaker 2: more and like why people love it so much. Yeah
- 14:23Speaker 2: with you, that's.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Great And that is on Netflix if you're wanting to
- 14:28Speaker 4: check it out. Have you streamed?
- 14:32Speaker 2: Uh? Yeah, well I was actually going to use that
- 14:34Speaker 2: one for my streamer just because it was on Prime,
- 14:37Speaker 2: but so I went to a movie theater. I'm just
- 14:39Speaker 2: gonna swap them.
- 14:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I saw the film Good Fortune, the new Disease Vehicle.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Yes, how was that?
- 14:48Speaker 2: Uh? Keanu Reeves is in it and he is just
- 14:51Speaker 2: an absolute delight. I love that guy so much. Yep,
- 14:55Speaker 2: there's a ton of gurry people in it. Disease is
- 14:57Speaker 2: in it. Actually, se we'll say that again.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Is Seth Rogan and I see three of them on
- 15:04Speaker 4: Yes podcast all the time.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Okay, that's the other. That's the other big big guy
- 15:08Speaker 2: is a Rogan.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Because I've seen nothing about this, I don't know.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Uh, Seth is really funny, of course, he always is
- 15:16Speaker 2: really fun The shtick is that Keanu is like a
- 15:21Speaker 2: he's sort of a lesser angel. He's actually the angel
- 15:24Speaker 2: of helping people avoid texting and driving accidents and okay,
- 15:30Speaker 2: he sort of gets out over his skis and uh
- 15:33Speaker 2: and metals in the Life of Disease because he's just
- 15:35Speaker 2: having trouble, you know, with employment and things like that. Uh,
- 15:40Speaker 2: and silliness ensues. Basically, it was an interesting movie, as
- 15:45Speaker 2: he's wrote and directed it as well, which I didn't
- 15:47Speaker 2: know going into it. Yeah, I thought he got some
- 15:50Speaker 2: really cool shots. I thought the premise was really interesting.
- 15:54Speaker 2: He I think he's been a better actor before this.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I don't really love his acting in this.
- 16:01Speaker 5: It just felt power.
- 16:02Speaker 2: It felt really like it felt like someone doing an
- 16:05Speaker 2: impression of him, kind of you know, where he was
- 16:07Speaker 2: just like everything he's in sounds like this, which for
- 16:10Speaker 2: the jokes is really really funny, but then for the
- 16:13Speaker 2: other parts it just felt a little I don't know
- 16:16Speaker 2: one notey, but he was so good and that Master's
- 16:19Speaker 2: a nun show that yeah, you know. I feel like
- 16:21Speaker 2: if I hadn't seen that, i'd have been like, yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 2: it was great, But since I saw him do other stuff,
- 16:26Speaker 2: I was kind of like, I don't know, so it
- 16:28Speaker 2: wasn't amazing, But I did have a really good time.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And there are some parts of it that are so
- 16:33Speaker 2: funny because all those people are so funny, So it's
- 16:36Speaker 2: definitely worth watching for sure. I don't know if it's
- 16:39Speaker 2: not like a huge, crazy, bombastic movies, I don't think
- 16:42Speaker 2: you need to see it enough to eater necessarily on
- 16:45Speaker 2: a plane would work great, you know, or streaming at
- 16:48Speaker 2: whatever point that happens.
- 16:49Speaker 5: But I did like it.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I didn't love that, I guess.
- 16:52Speaker 4: As sure, but it was fun. It's also pretty great
- 16:56Speaker 4: disease impression, buddy, that's a good one.
- 16:59Speaker 5: That's it.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a good one.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna keep that. I'll do that for the Terrible
- 17:03Speaker 2: Impression game if we ever do that again. Yep.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Yeah, if you did a lisp in there, it might
- 17:10Speaker 4: be a little wall of shawnee, but sure. But yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 4: pretty good, pretty good.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I'm gonna listen back to that. I didn't even know
- 17:17Speaker 2: I had my back pocket.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Yeah, you got it.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I've watched a lot of disease though, so it makes sense.
- 17:22Speaker 4: But it does.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a fun movie, though. I don't people
- 17:25Speaker 2: to get the wrong oppression. It just kind of thought
- 17:27Speaker 2: it would be like amazing, and it was like fre good.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Was all right? Yeah, and that's fine.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. I think we talked about all the things.

- 18:34Speaker 4: top five draft that pertains to the movie we're talking
- 18:36Speaker 4: about this one, haven't done it before. Crazy five scariest movies.
- 18:43Speaker 2: The sexiest topic we could pick, which was the scariest movies?
- 18:49Speaker 2: Are you ready to be titilated? Come on over? Yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 2: that's right, titillated.
- 18:54Speaker 5: Okay, you sure did?
- 18:58Speaker 2: Ah, that will be really fun. Uh. Yeah, I can't
- 19:02Speaker 2: believe we've never done scariest movies. I mean maybe I can.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I guess we don't love Yeah, you're right now. That
- 19:08Speaker 2: was dumb thing to say. You're right. I mean, I'm
- 19:10Speaker 2: dumb scared.
- 19:12Speaker 4: But you've been watching so many lately. Yeah, you're in
- 19:16Speaker 4: your horror movie phase.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Bro, I don't. It's not my favorite era I've ever
- 19:21Speaker 2: been a part of. I missed the rom com era.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Can we make more of those? The problem horror movies,
- 19:29Speaker 2: for whatever reason, are the movies they are? They are
- 19:32Speaker 2: just chucking those out every other minute in.
- 19:35Speaker 4: The Yeah, those and you know, superhero movies.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Those are only things that are selling.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Truth. Yeah, it's wild, but we're here to talk about
- 19:46Speaker 2: a horror film today. Perhaps one of the scariest, The
- 19:51Speaker 2: Exorcism of Emily Rose.
- 19:54Speaker 5: Rob I know, Rob was like, we should.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Do a Halloween movie, and he was like, oh, this
- 19:59Speaker 2: movie was terrifying. I want you to have to watch it.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Is what he actually said to me, I want you
- 20:04Speaker 2: to have.
- 20:04Speaker 5: To watch it.
- 20:05Speaker 4: This has haunted my dreams for the last twenty years.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I want you to also feel now that I feel.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Let me protect you, my sweet friend, from also experiencing this. No, no,
- 20:15Speaker 2: come with me, Come come along.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I'm with you.
- 20:17Speaker 2: You'll enjoy it. I loved our texts back and forth.
- 20:21Speaker 2: What did I say to you?
- 20:23Speaker 4: Did I do something to wrong you in some way?
- 20:27Speaker 2: Have I angered you? Rob? But this is a when
- 20:32Speaker 2: did this come out? I'm prepared.
- 20:34Speaker 5: It's twentieth, twentieth anniversary.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Honestly, I've always heard that it's one of the scariest
- 20:41Speaker 2: movies ever, so it was. I watched it, Rob. Do
- 20:46Speaker 2: you want to hit us? Though? With a rough SYNOPSI
- 20:49Speaker 2: I would love to.
- 20:51Speaker 4: The Reverend Moore is prosecuted for the wrongful death of
- 20:55Speaker 4: a girl thought to be demonically possessed because he administered
- 20:59Speaker 4: the church sanctioned exorcism that ultimately killed her. Prosecuting attorney
- 21:04Speaker 4: Ethan Thomas contends that the young woman, Emily, suffered from
- 21:08Speaker 4: schizophrenia and should have been medically diagnosed. Meanwhile, defense lawyer
- 21:14Speaker 4: Aaron Brunner Grews agreed argues that Emily's condition cannot be
- 21:21Speaker 4: explained by science alone.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Ooh, I like it? Nice? Yes, well read ah, what
- 21:30Speaker 2: did Let's go to? Rotten to mones wasn't great? To say,
- 21:33Speaker 2: it wasn't great. Critics had it at a rock solid
- 21:36Speaker 2: forty six percent.
- 21:38Speaker 5: I was very surprised by Get.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Actually, I really was surprised by it, and I didn't
- 21:44Speaker 4: dive in to see what these reviewers were saying was
- 21:48Speaker 4: so bad about it, But I am. I am actually
- 21:51Speaker 4: surprised by that.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Like I can get if you don't want to watch
- 21:54Speaker 2: it or you don't like it, but it's not like
- 21:58Speaker 2: it was super crazy, poorly.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Made anything, right, I don't think so.
- 22:01Speaker 2: I don't either.
- 22:02Speaker 4: I'm with you, so I don't know if you were
- 22:04Speaker 4: really there were a couple like, I mean, we can
- 22:08Speaker 4: get into it later, but just a couple kind of cheesy,
- 22:11Speaker 4: expositionally like things. Absolutely, but to make it a forty
- 22:16Speaker 4: six is pretty pretty nuts in my opinion.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah, the guy getting hit by the car was dumb.
- 22:24Speaker 4: That and there was just some There's one line in
- 22:27Speaker 4: it that just always took me out, just when they're
- 22:32Speaker 4: explaining the prosecuting attorney. It's like he's a man of faith,
- 22:38Speaker 4: and we know all this stuff, right, But then one
- 22:41Speaker 4: guy's like, he's no choir boy in the courtroom though, I'll.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Tell you that much. That's like straight out of NCIS
- 22:49Speaker 2: or something.
- 22:50Speaker 5: It was bad.
- 22:51Speaker 4: It was really bad.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I love that in the court room.
- 22:55Speaker 4: But to make it forty six percent, I think is
- 22:59Speaker 4: not Yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 2: The only thing I could think. And again, I didn't
- 23:02Speaker 2: research this at all, so I'm going to now share
- 23:05Speaker 2: my opinion. But maybe like they copied other horror films
- 23:09Speaker 2: of the past or something maybe that I don't but
- 23:13Speaker 2: I don't know enough about it to say same same
- 23:16Speaker 2: I couldn't either. Any who's that's what they had. Let's
- 23:19Speaker 2: hear what we think. It's time for our hot take.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Hot take.
- 23:23Speaker 2: That's a hot take.
- 23:24Speaker 4: That's a hot take.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Oh, the power.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Of Christ compels you.
- 23:30Speaker 2: It burns the skin. Yeah, if you're a demon, of course,
- 23:34Speaker 2: of course, obviously, I guess I'll go first, go first.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I don't like scary movies generally speaking, although I will say,
- 23:47Speaker 2: and I think this is maybe partly the reason I've
- 23:49Speaker 2: been watching more of them. I've realized it's not it's
- 23:54Speaker 2: not like I get crazy scared while I'm watching them.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I just don't like that discomfort feeling. Sure, you know,
- 24:00Speaker 2: we're just like why are you doing this to me?
- 24:03Speaker 2: But it also can be kind of fun if you
- 24:05Speaker 2: embrace it a little bit. There is definitely several of
- 24:09Speaker 2: those moments in this movie. I will say this is
- 24:14Speaker 2: not the scariest movie I've ever seen, because it's like
- 24:17Speaker 2: attached to a courtroom drama, and I feel I feel
- 24:21Speaker 2: very safe there, you know. Yes, yes, I was like, oh, okay,
- 24:25Speaker 2: well we're back in the courtroom. Yes there will be
- 24:27Speaker 2: unsettling things, but it's not like her, you know, posed
- 24:31Speaker 2: on the floor next to the bed when he wakes
- 24:33Speaker 2: up or whatever that terrifying nonsense was. Yeah, so I
- 24:40Speaker 2: enjoyed it. Okay, this movie, I do think they like.
- 24:47Speaker 2: One of my tepid takes is like, well, I bet
- 24:50Speaker 2: lawyers hate this movie, like this probably drives them nuts
- 24:53Speaker 2: because I don't think it's very well reasoned or inaccurate
- 24:57Speaker 2: depiction of what a court case would look like, you
- 25:00Speaker 2: know what I mean, just from all the comments they
- 25:03Speaker 2: make and all that weird stuff. But yeah, I thought
- 25:07Speaker 2: there was some really great performances in this which I
- 25:09Speaker 2: was I wasn't expecting. And we'll get into that with
- 25:13Speaker 2: some of the acting stuff, but some great performances, some
- 25:17Speaker 2: great camera shots, and like really effective use of like score,
- 25:21Speaker 2: which horror movies are always so good at, you know,
- 25:23Speaker 2: like the folly work and all that stuff. And it
- 25:26Speaker 2: was it was genuinely unsettling at various points for sure.
- 25:32Speaker 2: The yeah, I don't know, the demonic stuff always hits
- 25:36Speaker 2: me a little different than like a monster movie, and
- 25:40Speaker 2: not better or worse, just like I don't know, you know,
- 25:43Speaker 2: like it's it's a different kind of thing. But yeah,
- 25:48Speaker 2: I what is my hot take? I should have saved
- 25:51Speaker 2: the lawyer thing. This movie is not one I'm gonna
- 25:54Speaker 2: watch again. Chronic rewatcher and that won't be happening today.
- 26:00Speaker 4: That's a hot take.
- 26:01Speaker 5: That's my That is a hot take.
- 26:04Speaker 2: That's all I got. What do you think?
- 26:05Speaker 5: What's your hot take? My hot take?
- 26:08Speaker 4: This was just the scariest movie for me. It messed
- 26:12Speaker 4: me up when it came out twenty years ago because.
- 26:15Speaker 2: You saw it in theaters, right.
- 26:17Speaker 4: I don't remember if I sat in the theater or
- 26:19Speaker 4: I would have been still up in Duluth, I think,
- 26:24Speaker 4: I don't. Yeah, I don't remember exactly, but I remember
- 26:30Speaker 4: at the time I took a pretty big, like deep
- 26:33Speaker 4: dive to learn about who this really happened to, because
- 26:36Speaker 4: that's based creepier that it is based on a real
- 26:41Speaker 4: story that happened. It was more like I think it
- 26:43Speaker 4: was in the seventies, sure, but I just found that
- 26:47Speaker 4: crazy that it was based on a true story. This
- 26:51Speaker 4: was written and directed by Scott Derrickson, who he's got
- 26:54Speaker 4: a lot of credits in the horror genre. He did
- 26:57Speaker 4: the last Urban Legend film. He did the movie Sinister,
- 27:02Speaker 4: the Black Phone, and it's a sequel. That's I think
- 27:06Speaker 4: it just came out.
- 27:07Speaker 2: I never did you watch The Black Phone? No? I
- 27:10Speaker 2: never did either.
- 27:11Speaker 4: I know I watched very few horror movies, but I
- 27:15Speaker 4: have heard that that is really good. And then randomly
- 27:19Speaker 4: he wrote and directed Doctor Strange. He has all these
- 27:21Speaker 4: horror credits and then Doctor Strange.
- 27:25Speaker 2: That's great.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Yeah. I had a very similar take to you. I
- 27:30Speaker 4: I really enjoyed the half courtroom drama, half horror film
- 27:35Speaker 4: because I wasn't freaking out half the time. Again, I
- 27:39Speaker 4: thought the score by Christopher Young was really effective. Like
- 27:42Speaker 4: you said, I also thought the cinematography added so much
- 27:46Speaker 4: to make it so much more.
- 27:47Speaker 5: Intense, with like the dizzy point of view.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Shots, all the all the shaky handheld stuff during the
- 27:54Speaker 4: actual exorcism. It just created so much more suspense and intensity.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Agreed that the actors are all great. Thought they casted
- 28:04Speaker 4: very well. Yeah, I just think this movie is terrifying.
- 28:08Speaker 4: It was really well done. H If I ever wake
- 28:12Speaker 4: up at three am on the dot, it messes me up,
- 28:15Speaker 4: and it has ever since.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I get that dude done that yet, so thank god.
- 28:21Speaker 4: But our buddy Jarrett, he he's one of the more
- 28:26Speaker 4: religious guys that I know this movie. Really I remember.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I remember I was talking about that and being like,
- 28:32Speaker 2: I get that right, if that's in your wheelhouse, you know,
- 28:37Speaker 2: more like, of course that's good.
- 28:39Speaker 4: He had a really hard time with this movie and
- 28:41Speaker 4: it's stuck with him for literal years anyway, so that
- 28:46Speaker 4: probably exactly it.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Did not So.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Yeah. One of my hot takes is that charae Adashlu,
- 28:59Speaker 4: who played is doctor o'donni, has the coolest voice in
- 29:03Speaker 4: the history of that voice in the world.
- 29:06Speaker 2: And she's been in so many things, so many things
- 29:08Speaker 2: over the years. She was in twenty four one season,
- 29:11Speaker 2: which sure was Yeah, she was in the House of
- 29:14Speaker 2: san and Fog I think she was.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Up for awards for that.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 29:17Speaker 4: I never watched that, but yeah, best she was on
- 29:23Speaker 4: the stand talking just like I could listen to you
- 29:28Speaker 4: all day.
- 29:29Speaker 5: Talk about anything too, anything.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Yeah, she's got the coolest voice.
- 29:34Speaker 2: It's a great call. I love that.
- 29:37Speaker 4: That was my hottest take.
- 29:39Speaker 2: I love it, hot take. Well, should we go and
- 29:43Speaker 2: talk about our favorite acting performance? Shall we name the
- 29:45Speaker 2: dude the dude? I'm the dude, So that's what you
- 29:50Speaker 2: call me, you know that?
- 29:52Speaker 3: Or his dude or duder or you know eldudo reno
- 29:57Speaker 3: if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
- 30:00Speaker 4: First, I'll go first. Yeah, Jennifer Carpenter is Emily Rose.
- 30:05Speaker 4: She makes this film.
- 30:07Speaker 2: She was insane.
- 30:09Speaker 4: She's so incredibly good in this how she's able to
- 30:12Speaker 4: contort her body, but not only her body, the facial
- 30:17Speaker 4: expressions that she was able to do, and like I
- 30:21Speaker 4: can't even recreate it. Yeah, it's crazy, it's unbelievable. She
- 30:26Speaker 4: absolutely seemed possessed and then just this stark contrast to
- 30:32Speaker 4: her being this sweet, mild mannered college student. I mean,
- 30:37Speaker 4: she was absolutely incredible. This movie wouldn't be nowhere near
- 30:42Speaker 4: as good if you didn't have somebody give that much
- 30:47Speaker 4: to the role.
- 30:49Speaker 2: In fact, like she's so good because she's who I
- 30:51Speaker 2: picked as well. She's so good. I almost like overlooked
- 30:56Speaker 2: her for this for the dude, because I was like, oh, well,
- 30:59Speaker 2: that girl just possessed like right, it's about everyone else reacting.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I was like, well, no, idiot, she's acting, you know,
- 31:07Speaker 2: like I don't know, I.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Thought, unbelievable, so good, Yeah.
- 31:11Speaker 2: You heard, Yeah, everything about her. She was just wonderful
- 31:15Speaker 2: at it, like her and she had to scream like
- 31:18Speaker 2: crazy scary, like silent scream thing that was very off putting. Yeah,
- 31:26Speaker 2: it's everything about she was amazing. She was so good.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I kind of why wouldn't a part like that get
- 31:34Speaker 2: nominated for awards and stuff, you know what I mean.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Like, she's great in this.
- 31:38Speaker 4: She was incredible.
- 31:39Speaker 2: I guess because critics say this movie, maybe it's the answer.
- 31:43Speaker 5: But yeah, I don't know.
- 31:44Speaker 4: I wonder if that has changed over time or I
- 31:46Speaker 4: feel like it was not critically horrible when it came out.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I don't really remember at all. I don't think I
- 31:53Speaker 2: was tracking it at that point.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Yeah, but I had watched like a behind the scenes
- 31:58Speaker 4: thing when this came out.
- 31:59Speaker 2: I was so into this movie when it came out, just.
- 32:03Speaker 4: And I like, I think they maybe on the DVD
- 32:07Speaker 4: had like a you know, behind bonus footage whatever and
- 32:11Speaker 4: like interviewing everybody. And so Laura Lenny did a play
- 32:17Speaker 4: with her in college, not in college, like on Broadway,
- 32:22Speaker 4: and was like she was she was the one that
- 32:26Speaker 4: brought to the director like I think this person would
- 32:29Speaker 4: be incredible for and I mean, yeah, like I feel
- 32:33Speaker 4: like Laura Lennie deserves a ton of or something.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Doing well.
- 32:38Speaker 5: And I think she even I don't even know.
- 32:40Speaker 4: She's directed a couple of things. She directed one episode
- 32:43Speaker 4: of Black Rabbit actually because of the Jason Bate thing,
- 32:47Speaker 4: but she also recommended the prosecuting attorney because she's done
- 32:53Speaker 4: Broadway plays with Campbell Scott.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Yeah, she casted this movie.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty wild. It did make me wonder. I
- 33:04Speaker 2: hope she's been doing this Jennifer Carpenter. I hope she's
- 33:07Speaker 2: been doing Broadway and just acting jobs and stuff, because
- 33:10Speaker 2: she's so good and I feel like and I did
- 33:13Speaker 2: miss Admittedly I never watched Dexter, and she was in
- 33:16Speaker 2: like six episodes of that.
- 33:18Speaker 4: She's like the main it's it's I didn't realize Michael C.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Hall and her, so I guess she.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Has been working a big time.
- 33:26Speaker 4: I think she's on a primetime show right now too.
- 33:30Speaker 4: I think that's cool. Yeah, but she did really she
- 33:34Speaker 4: did well for herself. Fun on Dexter.
- 33:38Speaker 2: That's good to hear. But yeah, she's my dude.
- 33:42Speaker 5: She was excellent, excellent.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Well, let's let's set up some of the other supporting
- 33:47Speaker 4: roles and let's let's pick that too, GM.
- 33:52Speaker 5: Funny, you go first, buddy.
- 33:56Speaker 2: I'm just gonna go easy. Laura Lenny.
- 33:58Speaker 5: I almost picked her for dude. Yeah, she's great.
- 34:02Speaker 4: She's probably the lead in this movie.
- 34:04Speaker 2: I think that's right, right, Yeah, she's gotta have the
- 34:07Speaker 2: most lines. I thought she was great as this sort
- 34:11Speaker 2: of like bombastic, you know, up and coming lawyer who's
- 34:14Speaker 2: just like a badass. She's great when the doubt comes
- 34:18Speaker 2: into her eyes about the case and you know, like
- 34:22Speaker 2: she starts experiencing some of her own stuff. She's great
- 34:25Speaker 2: in that. I think she's just wonderful in this movie.
- 34:27Speaker 2: I thought she was spectacular in this role. Man. It
- 34:32Speaker 2: was just really fun to see her in it. I
- 34:34Speaker 2: don't know, I loved everything she brought to it. She
- 34:37Speaker 2: pulled off, the lawyer, she pulled off being scared, she
- 34:39Speaker 2: pulled off like all of it. It's really great.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Yeah, So I have you gone back and seen Primal
- 34:45Speaker 4: Fear yet?
- 34:46Speaker 2: I haven't wait. Which one's Primal Fear.
- 34:48Speaker 4: That's the first Ed Norton movie I did watch, So
- 34:52Speaker 4: she's the she's the attorney in that. She's the prosecutor
- 34:55Speaker 4: in that one. So we know that she plays a
- 34:59Speaker 4: good lawyer and she she did a great job with
- 35:01Speaker 4: that in this as well. I would have also picked
- 35:04Speaker 4: her for that huge My runner up would have been
- 35:08Speaker 4: Tom Wilkinson, who I've always enjoyed ever since I first
- 35:13Speaker 4: saw him in Shakespeare in Love. I just I just
- 35:17Speaker 4: have always thought he's a tremendous actor. He seems like
- 35:21Speaker 4: such a wise and compassionate man, especially in this role.
- 35:27Speaker 4: He also has like a really calming voice I've noticed, agreed,
- 35:32Speaker 4: which also works really well for this role. So yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 4: I thought he was he was really wonderful in this.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he just he always seems to be like kind
- 35:41Speaker 2: of in control, even if he's not, you know. Yeah, Yeah,
- 35:45Speaker 2: he's really great. I love that. I had a show
- 35:49Speaker 2: Ray as well, who you said has that amazing voice.
- 35:52Speaker 5: The coolest voice of all time.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I really liked that Henry Zournie guy as well. Well, yeah,
- 36:01Speaker 2: he was in.
- 36:01Speaker 5: The first mission impossible.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I wrote down, and he was what
- 36:05Speaker 2: was he He was one of the first witnesses, right, basically.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Yeah, he was like the doctor. That's what I'm saying
- 36:13Speaker 4: that I thought that she had epilepsy.
- 36:15Speaker 2: And that's right.
- 36:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 2: I just thought he was really great in this. I
- 36:18Speaker 2: think he's a pretty fantastic actor anyway, to be honest. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 2: but yeah, I really liked him in this. I thought
- 36:24Speaker 2: that was really fun.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Well in Campbell Scott, who is a really really good actor,
- 36:29Speaker 4: really great. I think he does a lot of stage stuff, yeah,
- 36:33Speaker 4: but very solid as the prosecuting attorney.
- 36:37Speaker 5: He's no choir boy in the court room.
- 36:39Speaker 2: I did kind of want them to flesh out his
- 36:41Speaker 2: part a little bit more, but.
- 36:44Speaker 4: They kept going on about how he was like so
- 36:46Speaker 4: like a man of faith and just say, we're just
- 36:48Speaker 4: supposed to take that at its word, And I.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Guess that was just to like put her into juxtaposition
- 36:55Speaker 2: of him, right, like I guess, but yeah, I don't know.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I was like a little more would have been good
- 37:00Speaker 2: from him from the writing not he was a great
- 37:03Speaker 2: I agree his acting, which was great, I thought, so yeah, yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 2: And did you see the assistant da was Chief from
- 37:12Speaker 2: Battlestar Galactica. Aaron Douglas is his name, and he he
- 37:17Speaker 2: doesn't say anything, I don't think turn the whole movie,
- 37:20Speaker 2: but he was there and I was like, man, that
- 37:22Speaker 2: guy looks familiar. What is he from? And I was like, oh, yeah,
- 37:25Speaker 2: that's Chief.
- 37:26Speaker 5: That's crazy. Okay, So yeah I didn't watch that.
- 37:29Speaker 2: I just thought that was wild. Oh you never watched that.
- 37:31Speaker 2: I thought you got into that. I guess. Yeah, you know,
- 37:34Speaker 2: like so far, why did you watch that? I mean
- 37:36Speaker 2: not really anyway?
- 37:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:38Speaker 2: Yeah, who else was good?
- 37:41Speaker 4: Colem Fiori is the only one I wrote that. Boss
- 37:46Speaker 4: just played kind of a what you would expect to be,
- 37:50Speaker 4: like the lawyer type, kind of a d bag. Yeah,
- 37:53Speaker 4: you know, like, you did so good. I'm gonna if
- 37:58Speaker 4: you do well on this one, then you can be
- 38:01Speaker 4: you can be partner. But if you screw up at all,
- 38:05Speaker 4: then I'm going to fire you.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Yeah, just like, okay, we get it. Imagination there. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:16Speaker 2: everyone else I thought was fine? Yeah, yeah, I love it?
- 38:22Speaker 4: All right, cool, let's move on to our favorite.
- 38:25Speaker 5: Scene, and let's choose the Dingus soda.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Is quite simple, really, Dingus Dingus. I could talk about
- 38:33Speaker 2: my Dingus all night long. You want to go first.
- 38:36Speaker 4: So it's tough for me.
- 38:39Speaker 5: Because there's kind of two scenes.
- 38:43Speaker 4: I'm going to say just the exorcism bit, just because yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 4: I mean that's the crux of the movie, right, And
- 38:51Speaker 4: I like how it starts off with they play the
- 38:55Speaker 4: tape in the courtroom and then they recreate it.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Right, that was really fun. That was a fun way,
- 39:01Speaker 2: Like it felt very immersive, you know, to go in
- 39:03Speaker 2: that way.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Yeah, And just that exorcism is so scary.
- 39:11Speaker 2: It's it's really something.
- 39:13Speaker 4: They have her in restraints, she immediately gets out of
- 39:16Speaker 4: the one restraint.
- 39:17Speaker 5: It took nothing.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Yeah, beats up on her. Should have done a better
- 39:21Speaker 2: job with those, but.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yep, should have maybe maybe spent another another
- 39:27Speaker 4: week in boy Scouts learning the knots. Maybe no doubt,
- 39:32Speaker 4: but that that was scary. And then her just creepily
- 39:37Speaker 4: running and jumping out of the window face she makes
- 39:42Speaker 4: right before.
- 39:43Speaker 5: So scary.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Then they go into the barn and the barn is
- 39:48Speaker 4: terrifying everything in there, making these crazy screechy noises so
- 39:52Speaker 4: that the horses all freak out. We get snakes and
- 39:57Speaker 4: rats and all these things that are like wanting to
- 40:00Speaker 4: check what's happening. But just her then being possessed by
- 40:07Speaker 4: these six demons, we find out pretty cool. And all
- 40:12Speaker 4: of the dialogue between the father and he is so nuts.
- 40:20Speaker 4: It's crazy. And the faces and the dilated pupils and
- 40:25Speaker 4: the lightning and just I mean, I was.
- 40:28Speaker 2: It's so scary nuts, it's so scary. Imagine being in
- 40:33Speaker 2: that for like a month filming, you know what I mean? Yeah,
- 40:36Speaker 2: yu yuck, crazy, yeah with you.
- 40:41Speaker 4: So that's kind of I think that's gotta be it.
- 40:43Speaker 4: But what do you think.
- 40:44Speaker 2: That's a really hard one to beat. I like the
- 40:52Speaker 2: first time, it's the first time, and it's where she's
- 40:55Speaker 2: sitting in the classroom taking the test, and it's kind
- 40:58Speaker 2: of the first time we see her having the like
- 41:00Speaker 2: the black stuff coming from people's eye all scary, which
- 41:04Speaker 2: is so just creepy and weird. Yeah, and then she
- 41:09Speaker 2: like freaks out and runs and then she goes into
- 41:12Speaker 2: that church and we get to see her, like the
- 41:14Speaker 2: boyfriend follows her. We see her eyes do the dilaight thing,
- 41:18Speaker 2: like you said, which was such a cool shot to
- 41:20Speaker 2: see that, you know, in real time or whatever. I
- 41:25Speaker 2: just loved that whole, like a little vignette. I thought
- 41:28Speaker 2: that was really really well done. It was unsettling, but
- 41:30Speaker 2: it was so cool looking. And yeah, just all those people,
- 41:35Speaker 2: like the and seeing the face and then on the
- 41:39Speaker 2: class and like.
- 41:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, super scary, very scary. The second scariest part
- 41:46Speaker 4: for me in the movie is the dorm room scene
- 41:50Speaker 4: where she like wakes up at three she you know,
- 41:55Speaker 4: thinks something's burning. She goes down the hallway, we get
- 41:58Speaker 4: the jump scary with the door, yeah, which is so scary.
- 42:02Speaker 4: Then she goes back to sleep. She starts seeing her
- 42:05Speaker 4: little pen cup shaking and then goes to the floor.
- 42:08Speaker 4: Then but all the stuff they did to make it
- 42:12Speaker 4: seem like this thing was on top of.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Her that was like pushing down, pushing her down onto
- 42:18Speaker 2: the bell crazy and like making it so that.
- 42:21Speaker 4: She couldn't breathe that was so terrifying. And the noise
- 42:26Speaker 4: that she makes when the thing finally releases her, Yeah,
- 42:31Speaker 4: she just did such an incredible job in that.
- 42:34Speaker 2: It's such like a guttural sounder, ye what it is.
- 42:38Speaker 4: It's like she's trying to breathe, but she's also so upset. Yeah,
- 42:44Speaker 4: like in shock crying running.
- 42:48Speaker 2: It's just yeah, so nuts that scene is. And it's
- 42:52Speaker 2: so like horror movies doing that stupid like the end
- 42:56Speaker 2: of a hallway, a door just keeps banging it. I'm
- 42:59Speaker 2: just like, I hate you. I hate you so much
- 43:01Speaker 2: for doing this to know, why do you do this?
- 43:03Speaker 2: A lot of jump scares in this movie. Totally. Yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 2: that scene is great. Uh, I will say that. I
- 43:10Speaker 2: think the scariest part for me was, uh when the
- 43:14Speaker 2: boyfriend is like I think it's actually at the end
- 43:17Speaker 2: of the scene I was talking about, they like he
- 43:20Speaker 2: goes and like lays with her until she falls asleep basically,
- 43:23Speaker 2: and then he falls asleep.
- 43:24Speaker 5: He wakes up, she's not there.
- 43:26Speaker 2: But she is like crazy position with her head all
- 43:32Speaker 2: and just like frozen staring at him. That scared the
- 43:35Speaker 2: hell out of me.
- 43:36Speaker 4: Well then the scream and the scream, yes, the scream
- 43:40Speaker 4: is just that really put.
- 43:41Speaker 2: It over the curdling. I yeah, I that freaked me
- 43:46Speaker 2: out so bad that I get that. Yeah, and really,
- 43:51Speaker 2: you know, hard to do him, but I have well
- 43:54Speaker 2: you know this, I am prone to some like sleep
- 43:57Speaker 2: talking and sleep walking, especially in my older days. But
- 44:02Speaker 2: I've just I've had moments where I wake up and
- 44:04Speaker 2: don't know what's going on until you like come to
- 44:07Speaker 2: your wits, you know, to think that you could wake
- 44:10Speaker 2: up and see someone staring at you like that. That
- 44:14Speaker 2: freaks me.
- 44:15Speaker 5: Yeah, that's scary.
- 44:19Speaker 2: I didn't like that. Oh no, I'll tell you one thing.
- 44:22Speaker 2: I'm not going to make sure she's okay. I'm deassing
- 44:26Speaker 2: or beating someone to death because I'm scared. Yeah, I
- 44:33Speaker 2: am not brave, is what I will tell you right now.
- 44:36Speaker 4: I mean that that is so scary. I'm with you.
- 44:42Speaker 2: And every time the demon talks, I really like. That's
- 44:46Speaker 2: the part of like the demon scary movie stuff that
- 44:49Speaker 2: I really like is the like demon talking and when
- 44:52Speaker 2: you get into like the dogmatic like we are the
- 44:56Speaker 2: one who was with you know, all that stuff. I
- 44:58Speaker 2: thought it was really cool. But I'm cool picking the
- 45:02Speaker 2: exorcism scene. I mean that's.
- 45:03Speaker 4: Yeah for me, it's between the exorcism scene in that
- 45:06Speaker 4: dorm room when she's first Yeah, really deal, Well.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Let's just let's pick them both, because I do it.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I never want to think about this movie again after this,
- 45:15Speaker 2: So let's do it, right, all right. I like them
- 45:19Speaker 2: both for sure.
- 45:20Speaker 5: Love it. It's been chosen.
- 45:22Speaker 2: I love it. Let's go talk about some quotes. Now,
- 45:24Speaker 2: it's time to show me the money.
- 45:26Speaker 4: Shoot me the money, show me.
- 45:35Speaker 5: I don't have a lot for this one. Yeah, should go.
- 45:40Speaker 5: He's no choir boy in the courtroom.
- 45:41Speaker 2: That's your favorite one, right, it's I just wrote that
- 45:44Speaker 2: a dozen times because I love it. I love when
- 45:50Speaker 2: the priest first meets her and intern the demon and
- 45:55Speaker 2: you think you can force me out, priest, I dare
- 45:58Speaker 2: you to try.
- 45:59Speaker 5: I was likely in Latin, presumably.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I loved that line a lot.
- 46:04Speaker 4: I was like, oh, okay, here we go.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Yeah, like, all right, we're really doing this.
- 46:11Speaker 4: Did you have subtitles?
- 46:13Speaker 5: I don't think I had subtitles.
- 46:14Speaker 4: On this one that I last watched.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Oh interesting, Where did I watch it? I watched it
- 46:19Speaker 2: on Hulu. Yeah it had, it had yellow subtitles. Okay,
- 46:23Speaker 2: when it was in the other languages, I.
- 46:25Speaker 5: Don't think I did have that.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Oh interesting, I did when it was it would say
- 46:31Speaker 2: like in Latin maybe or something at the end when
- 46:36Speaker 2: the big one all of the voices are coming out
- 46:38Speaker 2: with that.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, yeah, I don't think it did. In that
- 46:41Speaker 5: first one.
- 46:42Speaker 2: I did I did in that first one.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, weird.
- 46:46Speaker 2: That that big one was one of my favorite ones,
- 46:48Speaker 2: unless you want to say it for I love that
- 46:51Speaker 2: we are the ones who dwelt within. I am the
- 46:54Speaker 2: one who dwelt with Caine, and I am the one
- 46:57Speaker 2: who dwelt with Nero. I once dwelt with you, Dus,
- 47:01Speaker 2: I was within legion. I am by Lala, and I
- 47:04Speaker 2: am Lucifer, the devil in the flesh, the devil in
- 47:08Speaker 2: the flesh. And that was really fun because I didn't
- 47:11Speaker 2: get all the languages, but it was like there was
- 47:14Speaker 2: some German in there for a hot minute. There was
- 47:16Speaker 2: like presumably like Hebrew or Latin in there too, you know,
- 47:21Speaker 2: there was just a bunch of things. I think air
- 47:23Speaker 2: make was in there. I think I read that at
- 47:25Speaker 2: some point in the thing. But it was cool to
- 47:27Speaker 2: have her go. Also really hard to deliver that line
- 47:31Speaker 2: in all these you know, I don't know. She was great,
- 47:35Speaker 2: as we've said. And then my last one, which is
- 47:38Speaker 2: a fun one and then I'll let you do some
- 47:41Speaker 2: is just they're talking about when they did the exorcism
- 47:44Speaker 2: and he's like, you did it on Halloween, isn't that
- 47:47Speaker 2: a bit dramatic. I liked that. Yeah, that was fun.
- 47:53Speaker 2: How about you what you got for quit?
- 47:55Speaker 4: Another really creepy one when she is possessed, dolls in
- 48:00Speaker 4: and crosses and wishes you think that can save your
- 48:03Speaker 4: little girl?
- 48:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that was creepy.
- 48:06Speaker 4: That was in German, apparently wild the Yeah, and I
- 48:11Speaker 4: am Lucifer the devil in the flesh. Just so scary
- 48:14Speaker 4: how she said it when they haven't. I don't think
- 48:19Speaker 4: she's jumped out the window yet. She's still on the bed. Yeah,
- 48:25Speaker 4: and he's doing the Lord's prayer and she screams.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Out, deliver us from me.
- 48:34Speaker 4: Oh my god, dude. So scary. Yeah. I liked the
- 48:44Speaker 4: objection on what grounds? How about silliness? You're on her?
- 48:48Speaker 4: That was good When he is cross examining, uh, the
- 48:56Speaker 4: coolest voiced lady in the whole world, and she's just like,
- 49:00Speaker 4: that's quite a laundry list of disdain. I liked that.
- 49:04Speaker 4: That was pretty great. You are guilty fathermore, and you
- 49:11Speaker 4: are free to go. I thought it was pretty great.
- 49:17Speaker 4: It has begun, let us pray, Yeah, sick yep. And
- 49:23Speaker 4: then just I thought it was kind of cool the
- 49:27Speaker 4: end of her he's reading her letter to h to
- 49:32Speaker 4: the courtroom and it kind of ends with people say
- 49:35Speaker 4: that God is dead, but how can they think that
- 49:37Speaker 4: if I show them?
- 49:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that is pretty wild.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Yeah yeah that was all I had.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Love it. Uh, I don't think I had any other ones.
- 49:50Speaker 2: I think that's all. That's all I have.
- 49:51Speaker 4: It's gonna be moments. This is so hard for me
- 49:56Speaker 4: because I was just so scared. I don't think I
- 49:58Speaker 4: cried much, even though I could see that there are
- 50:01Speaker 4: times that somebody may have cried because it's it's horrible,
- 50:06Speaker 4: it's a tragedy, what is happening, but it's so scary.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Yeah, can I tell you like, I did something different
- 50:13Speaker 2: for this one because there was no cries. There was none.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Okay, cool?
- 50:17Speaker 2: Because that I did too is I wrote down some
- 50:20Speaker 2: moments that just made me say, yeah, yeah, I have
- 50:24Speaker 2: some of those moments.
- 50:25Speaker 5: Yeah, let's hear those.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Yeah, are the scene where she's in her dorm and
- 50:29Speaker 2: the demon versus attacks and there's like the hallway at
- 50:31Speaker 2: the slamming door.
- 50:32Speaker 4: Yep.
- 50:33Speaker 2: I don't like it. I don't like it.
- 50:35Speaker 4: I don't like it.
- 50:36Speaker 2: I'm not going to keep saying that because I don't
- 50:38Speaker 2: want to do the work. I get you. It's not
- 50:41Speaker 2: because I'm against it morally. I just am lazy. Yes,
- 50:45Speaker 2: the test scene, it just felt like the moments where
- 50:49Speaker 2: I was like, no, thank you were cry moments in
- 50:52Speaker 2: other movies. I get that. I get that. The test
- 50:56Speaker 2: scene after she's possessed in the doctor's office and she
- 50:58Speaker 2: goes into the church and all that up.
- 51:00Speaker 5: No thank you, no thank you, no thank you.
- 51:05Speaker 2: When Laura Lenny wakes up at three am and smells burning, no,
- 51:09Speaker 2: no thank you, and the door is open, the doors open,
- 51:12Speaker 2: some real brimstone stuff. Don't like that. No thank you,
- 51:15Speaker 2: thank you, daddy, thank you when he wakes up and
- 51:20Speaker 2: she's catatonic in that weird position when the boyfriend wakes
- 51:23Speaker 2: up thing. No no, no, no no. Uh, we didn't even
- 51:27Speaker 2: say this. When her sister goes in, she's like knocking
- 51:30Speaker 2: at the door and she goes in. She's doing all
- 51:32Speaker 2: the bugs and scratching the wall and stuff. No thank you, dude.
- 51:37Speaker 4: It does look like she just scratches.
- 51:41Speaker 2: I don't know how they did that so effectively. Do
- 51:44Speaker 2: you think they like put like little nails on her
- 51:46Speaker 2: hand or something. I don't know. Yeah, it worked so
- 51:49Speaker 2: well though. She also when Laura Lenny is Uh. She's
- 51:55Speaker 2: awakened again at three am and the audio is playing
- 51:57Speaker 2: from the tape recorder in the living room.
- 51:59Speaker 5: Oh, no, thank you, no thank you.
- 52:03Speaker 2: And then I just I wrote pretty much the rest
- 52:05Speaker 2: of the movie no thing well.
- 52:07Speaker 4: And when the spirit Uh comes to the father in
- 52:13Speaker 4: the jail cell and he like starts praying, we just
- 52:16Speaker 4: see just a little bit of it.
- 52:19Speaker 2: No, yeah, dude, thank you, so no boohos. But at
- 52:25Speaker 2: least six or seven no thank you. So there's that.
- 52:28Speaker 2: I get that.
- 52:29Speaker 5: That's all I can. Man, nice, let's see movie ture Ribia.
- 52:35Speaker 2: We talked about Laura. Lenny Uh had done a play
- 52:39Speaker 2: with Jennifer Carpenter and recommended her, but also Jennifer Carpenter's
- 52:43Speaker 2: audition was so convincing and scary that the director decided
- 52:46Speaker 2: to cast her on the spot. I guess boom, so
- 52:49Speaker 2: good for her and also stay away from me. To
- 52:53Speaker 2: prepare for the role, she spent hours in a room
- 52:57Speaker 2: full of mirrors and she tried out just like different
- 52:59Speaker 2: body physicians and all those crazy facial expressions that you said,
- 53:04Speaker 2: just to see what was the scariest. That work paid off,
- 53:07Speaker 2: because she was incredibly good. She was in the worst way.
- 53:14Speaker 2: We sort of mentioned this, but I'll just go into
- 53:15Speaker 2: it a little bit more. This is based on Annalise Michael,
- 53:19Speaker 2: a young German woman who suffered a similar fate to
- 53:21Speaker 2: the fictional Emily Rose in the nineteen seventies. You were
- 53:24Speaker 2: right about that, and the book was the Exorcism of
- 53:29Speaker 2: Annalise Michel Michael. On account of the subsequent court case
- 53:35Speaker 2: by expert witnesses, Felicitas Goodman, an anthropologist called in as
- 53:41Speaker 2: an expert on possession, and then she wrote the book.
- 53:46Speaker 2: After that, her parents and two priests who performed her
- 53:51Speaker 2: exorcism were prosecuted, although the prosecution asked that the parents
- 53:55Speaker 2: be excused as they had suffered enough, which makes sense
- 54:00Speaker 2: and seems very unfair to me. I don't know that
- 54:02Speaker 2: seems weird. But ultimately the accused were found guilty of
- 54:06Speaker 2: manslaughter resulting from negligence, and the two clergymen were sent
- 54:09Speaker 2: in to six months in jail and three years of probation.
- 54:14Speaker 2: The most significant differences in the stories were that Michelle
- 54:20Speaker 2: periodically fasted for several months as part of her exorcism
- 54:24Speaker 2: and remained on the medication until her death, while the
- 54:27Speaker 2: fictional Rose was incapable of eating due to the forces,
- 54:31Speaker 2: and then decided herself to stop taking the medication. I
- 54:35Speaker 2: guess they felt like they needed that for a little
- 54:37Speaker 2: more of like a smoking gum that he did something wrong.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Either way, I kind of deal, I guess, But they
- 54:43Speaker 2: do say the story was heavily adapted for cinematic purposes,
- 54:47Speaker 2: but still scary.
- 54:49Speaker 5: It was scary.
- 54:52Speaker 2: The silent scream helped Jennifer Carpenter get the role. Apparently
- 54:58Speaker 2: she did that in her audition and he was like,
- 55:00Speaker 2: that was awful. Please don't. I mean, we want you
- 55:05Speaker 2: to do that, but don't do it in front of me. Ever, again,
- 55:08Speaker 2: this is crazy. The jury, the people sitting in the jury,
- 55:11Speaker 2: the actors were not given scripts, so they weren't aware
- 55:15Speaker 2: of how the case would turn out. And when the
- 55:19Speaker 2: judge asked them at the end how they would find fathermore,
- 55:22Speaker 2: the decision was split, so that's kind of fun. Interesting
- 55:29Speaker 2: they made They made like actual dolls constructed, which was
- 55:33Speaker 2: really cool. There was two of them constructed for this movie.
- 55:36Speaker 2: The first was where Emily Rose would like lock her limbs,
- 55:41Speaker 2: and the other was for the dorm scene when she's
- 55:44Speaker 2: on the floor. They ultimately didn't use it in the
- 55:46Speaker 2: dorm scene because she struck a pose. She was very flexible,
- 55:51Speaker 2: I guess, and how she contorted her body they thought
- 55:55Speaker 2: was just as scary, if not scarier, than what they
- 55:57Speaker 2: would have got with the dummy. So I thought that
- 55:59Speaker 2: was terrifying. And in the church when she does that
- 56:03Speaker 2: like backbend thing, they had her harness to like make
- 56:06Speaker 2: it look even crazier, which worked. It looked really cool
- 56:10Speaker 2: and it's gay. Yeah.
- 56:12Speaker 4: In the the behind the scenes thing they go through
- 56:15Speaker 4: all that, Oh that's cool, they actually showed the harness
- 56:19Speaker 4: and how she's able to bend back that far.
- 56:21Speaker 2: I will say, if I was making movies, making a
- 56:24Speaker 2: horror movie, it would be fun because you get to
- 56:26Speaker 2: play a lot with like stuff like that. So I
- 56:28Speaker 2: bet that's really a cool time for sure. Emily's bedroom
- 56:33Speaker 2: and the scratches on the wall were based directly on
- 56:35Speaker 2: a painting by Francis Bacon, which I thought was really interesting.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Mmmm Bacon Love Love Francis.
- 56:42Speaker 2: Laura Lenny recommended, Oh no, we already said that anytime
- 56:47Speaker 2: something bad or ghostly is about to happen, there's a
- 56:49Speaker 2: purple glow somewhere, usually purple light emanating from window I
- 56:54Speaker 2: didn't pick up on that. I thought that was pretty cool.
- 56:55Speaker 2: I didn't either, didn't didn't do that. I can after
- 57:00Speaker 2: I was like, oh, yeah, I guess there was weird
- 57:02Speaker 2: purple happened in the round. I just thought Prince was there.
- 57:05Speaker 2: During the exorcism scene, when Father Moore asked for the
- 57:08Speaker 2: six names of the spirits dwelling and Emily, only two
- 57:11Speaker 2: actually reveal their names, Lucifer and Bellial. I'm probably not
- 57:17Speaker 2: saying that right, but the other four only say the
- 57:19Speaker 2: names of people with whom they've dwelled. Lucifer is commonly
- 57:24Speaker 2: identified as the devil in Christianity and is synonymous with
- 57:28Speaker 2: Satan in modern day Christianity, but historically they were two
- 57:31Speaker 2: separate entities who worked together. And Belliol or Billiel is
- 57:38Speaker 2: known as the Prince of Virtues who tempts men with
- 57:41Speaker 2: arrogance and women with vanity. So that was kind of
- 57:45Speaker 2: interesting knowing their backstory. And doctor Cartwright was supposed to
- 57:50Speaker 2: have a heart attack, but the studio wanted his death
- 57:52Speaker 2: to be more draadic, so they went through with that car.
- 57:56Speaker 2: Him getting hid by the car I thought was kind
- 57:59Speaker 2: of cheesy.
- 58:00Speaker 4: It was kind of cheesy. Yeah, his whole role was
- 58:04Speaker 4: kind of cheesy.
- 58:05Speaker 2: I agree with that. I didn't buy that a ton. Yeah,
- 58:10Speaker 2: that was all I had. I don't know if you had.
- 58:12Speaker 2: I liked no.
- 58:13Speaker 4: I liked the idea of somebody being like, hey, I
- 58:16Speaker 4: don't want anything to do with this.
- 58:18Speaker 5: I was there to help you out.
- 58:20Speaker 4: I liked.
- 58:20Speaker 5: I liked that.
- 58:21Speaker 4: But then yeah, pretty much everything after that was kind
- 58:24Speaker 4: of a bummer. But yeah, I didn't have anything else
- 58:27Speaker 4: for for trivia Sammy's yeah judgment. Will there be a sequel?
- 58:33Speaker 5: Judgment A No, probably not.
- 58:35Speaker 4: There's no chance.
- 58:36Speaker 2: It's the Exorcism a sequel. I still have never seen
- 58:39Speaker 2: that prequel.
- 58:41Speaker 4: No, let me, it's just another exorcism.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Yeah, have you ever seen that? I saw?
- 58:47Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 58:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, scary. It's terrifying. No, thanks like that thing.
- 58:52Speaker 4: It's still messed up. However, many years later, No, thank you?
- 58:56Speaker 2: Did he knew?
- 58:57Speaker 4: Thank you?
- 58:58Speaker 5: Well?
- 58:58Speaker 4: Uh, you want to play game?
- 59:00Speaker 2: Yeah? I mean sent out a.
- 59:04Speaker 4: Thing on on X and we'll see if people have
- 59:10Speaker 4: gotten back to us for a last man Stanton, and
- 59:16Speaker 4: we we just have our.
- 59:18Speaker 5: Good buddy Marcia.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Marcia.
- 59:22Speaker 4: Marcia gave us two options, and I think we haven't
- 59:28Speaker 4: used either one of these. Well, let me just double check.
- 59:31Speaker 5: We haven't used either one of these actors.
- 59:34Speaker 2: I like that.
- 59:36Speaker 4: I think it'll be a quick game with either one.
- 59:40Speaker 4: Maybe maybe let's do it. We have the actors Jude Law, okay,
- 59:49Speaker 4: and Hugh Grant. I feel like I could do better
- 59:54Speaker 4: on Hugh Grant. I feel like that one could go
- 59:56Speaker 4: a little bit further than Jude Law.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: I'm with you. I don't think I'll do great on
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: either either.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but we can say we've done these actors, which
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: is pretty exciting.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, I'm cool. Let's let's do Hugh then if
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: you feel.
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: I mean, I think yeah, I think I can definitely.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Do more with with.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: Him then mm hmm. But maybe it's probably about the
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: same whatever you think that we can do for sure,
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: I was writing down, let's do Hugh.
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: Do you do you want me to start? Yes, Marsha,
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: you're the best.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Mars I know I'd like to start because I can't.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: I'm not gonna last very long. Notting Hill, notting Hill,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: It's great. Nice, that's a great one.
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: That's a great one. I'm gonna do. Uh.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: He did one by one of my favorite authors, Nick
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: horn be uh and it was a movie called about
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: a boy.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Oh that is a great movie. YEA good call. Why
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: am I having a hurt time thinking? What this one's
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: called The Gentleman? He wasn't that right?
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah he was good in that.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Yeah like that.
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: I really liked him in that.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: I think we both did.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Actually, Yeah, one that I have not seen because it
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: looked very scary scary.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: It just came out.
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: It was called like Heretic.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Yeah it is Haretic. Yeah, yeah, that did look scary.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Actually I watched I watched it. I don't remember now
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: if I watched it or not pretty memorable? Then well, Jath,
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: what's the other one that I watched? They both came
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: out at the same ash time and it No, that's
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: a different one. Not think I ever saw Heretic. It
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: looks scary though, I'm with.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: You, dude. Yeah, he looked really creepy.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Isn't he like he like captures someone or something scary?
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm assuming.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a lot. It's a lot, Paddington, I.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: Brilliant Smat. I'll go with another kid's movie. I'll pick
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: one ca oh cook, I forgot he was in that.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: Yeah he's the Yeah, I like that a lot.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: How about Love? Actually?
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't write that one down.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Just popped into my head and I was like, oh, yeah.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: That's ridiculous. Let's do four weddings in a few in
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: a roll one.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: All right, all right? I like it.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Is it him in uh what is that called that
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Sandy B movie?
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: Nine months or something? Oh yeah he is in nine months?
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: That's not what Sandy that's not Sandy b Am I
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: conflating that with a different one. Oh okay, yep, well
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: Say nine months, nine months that was him and Julianne Moore.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that was a long time ago.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: What's the there's Sandy B one.
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: Sandy B one is called two weeks.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Notice it was also a time frame it was. That's
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: not what happened. I just forgot Yeah two weeks notice.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Yeah that's a fun movie. I like that one. Okay,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: what else do we.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: I only have two more? That's I can't think of
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: any anymore.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: I know he's been in just so many things. Yeah,
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I'm not doing well.
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: I feel like I didn't see I think maybe he
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: did like some proper British ones back, you know, like
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: kind of period totally stuff that I can't I can't think.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Of any of those adaptation of some sort of right, yeah, totally.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: I don't know what they are.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't picture any of the ally.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: I feel like he was in an animated one too,
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: but I don't know was he in sing for some reason?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: I know he's not in sang. I think I might
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: be out. Yeah, I'm just gonna say I'm out. I
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: can't think of anything else.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: The one that I thought you would get because it
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: was a really fun rom como was him and Drew Barrymore.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, the harmony music and lyrics music.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: I really, I really liked that is a great one
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: in the end, in that sweet apartment that he's got
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: with like the big piano in there and stuff. Yep,
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: that's a good call. And the only other one that
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: I could think of was one with he did with
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: Gene Hackman that was not very good a long time ago,
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: called Extreme Measures.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: And whenever whenever Hugh Grant comes up on like those
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: movie Grid or whatever games, I always do Extreme Measures
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: because nobody knows that movie.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Like.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: But other than that, dude, I I feel like he's
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: been working a lot more recently, and I just haven't
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: been seeing the things that.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: You've seen me, Oh Bridget, don't Bridget Jones?
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: Oh sure, yeah, probably all of those right in Dungeons
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: and Dragons, Honor Amongst Thieves. I was like, he's been
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: a bad guy in so many things lately.
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: I don't even remember him in that.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: That's terrible.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: I think he's like the main bad dude, bad guy.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: He was in the Glass Onion. I forgot he was
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: in that Operation Fortune Frosted dude, he was, he was,
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: he was.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: Yeah, he played like a Tony the Tiger type.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: It was so bad, so bad. Oh, yeah, you definitely
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: saw that Glass Onion. I forgot he was in that. Uh, definitely, Gentlemen,
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: we yet.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: To Oh Florence Foster Jenkins. That was a great movie.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: I saw one, and he was really good in it,
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: and so was Meryl Street and everybody's good in it.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: You'd really like that movie, dude, I know.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: It's on the list for sure.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: Apparently I watched the movie The Rewrite and I can't
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: remember it at all.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: I don't know that at all. Cloud Atlas, which I
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: never saw. Yeah, I didn't see that one either. Did
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: you hear about the Morgans. I also don't know what
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: that is. Two Week's Notice about a boy Mickey blue
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: Eyes Small.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: Time Time Mickey blue Eyes. Ye.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: I don't think I saw either of those either.
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: Sense and Sensibility was the one piece.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh and Sirens, Oh yeah, I trained to Venice.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: But then, dude, all of those those I don't know
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: any of these other ones.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: Yeah. I think that might have been like before he
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: came over to America or something in the eighties.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: I don't even like, I don't even recognize these names
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: of these.
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: No, I using a lot using.
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Before he came over here.
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: Well, he played Chopin Chin.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: With Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters. I bet that's fine.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: I bet that's really good.
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: Oh but anyway, thank you Marcia for for giving us
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Hugh grants. I will put him on the list.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: No, dang, well we did, okay, we did, we did?
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: Okay?
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: We should have gotten the Bridge of Jones movies probably, Yeah,
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: although I have never seen one of them.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: But you mean you didn't see the sequel.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: I've never seen any of them.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Dang, how did you miss Bridget Jones?
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: I just saw what it was about and wasn't interested
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: in it.
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: Apparently she's really to win.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: On a date or something to it. You know.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: I didn't do that one.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: I didn't. I just saw it later by myself with
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: a pint of ice cream. I don't want to talk
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: about it.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: I don't talk about it.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: No, nicely done. You will get to pick first in
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: our draft of scariest scary movies. Yeah, and uh yeah,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: I guess uh. I don't know what's coming next. Just
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: the stick with us. There's tour in the holidays.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: And it's gonna be a few weeks off in the
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: next few weeks, so yeah, be cool, my babies, but
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: we'll be back and enjoy You're Halloween.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: Hell yeah, Happy Halloween everyone. Yeah. That does it today
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: for Exorcism of Emily.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: Rose's and thank you so much for listening.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Until we talk to you next time.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: Enjoy the grating.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: The sun is shining night a cloud in the sky.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: We wouldn't know because we're so happy inside.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Some people.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: On skis, but we would rather sit on down and
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: talk some movies.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: We're the avid Indoorsmen.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: Come listen to our show. We're the evid.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Indoorsmen at home. More on the go where the Evidendorsmen.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: We hope you love it, so come on in and stay.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: We'll do our best to excuse
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: My indoors man
