- 0:19Speaker 1: all your New Year's resolutions and staying healthy. Welcome back
- 0:28Speaker 1: to the Richard Sherman Podcast. It's Championship week, Mitchell. These
- 0:33Speaker 1: are the games that matter, the games that will send
- 0:36Speaker 1: you to the Super Bowl and crush your team's dreams.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Which one will it be? We'll find out soon enough.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I can't wait. The Seattle Seahawks play the Los Angeles
- 0:46Speaker 1: Rams in another NFC West showdown. It's been They split
- 0:52Speaker 1: the two games during the season. The last one was
- 0:56Speaker 1: a shootout. It ended up thirty eight thirty seven. Sea
- 1:00Speaker 1: Yawk Sam Donald drives down the field in a Valian
- 1:03Speaker 1: effort to win that game. They go for the two
- 1:06Speaker 1: point conversion. They convert in overtime walk off win. Beautiful game.
- 1:11Speaker 1: The first game, not as beautiful, Not as beautiful. Struggle
- 1:18Speaker 1: by Sam donald for interceptions, but his defense kept standing
- 1:23Speaker 1: up for him, held Matthew Stafford to one hundred and
- 1:25Speaker 1: thirty yards passing, and they had a chance at the end.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Two more yards and they they would have had two
- 1:30Speaker 1: wins this season versus the Rams. And I'm sure the
- 1:33Speaker 1: Rams fans are like, yeah, but if it went different,
- 1:36Speaker 1: we would have had two wins. Yeah, yeah, yeah, But
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm not talking about y'all right now. The Rams defense
- 1:41Speaker 1: is incredible. They're riding high. Cam Curl interception sends them
- 1:46Speaker 1: to the championship game. They played fantastic and tough conditions
- 1:50Speaker 1: against a very good Chicago Bears offense, and I know
- 1:54Speaker 1: that that gives them confidence. This was a game that
- 1:58Speaker 1: Matthew Stafford didn't throw a touchdown pass, he didn't play
- 2:01Speaker 1: his best football. His his offense didn't play their best,
- 2:04Speaker 1: but they still came away with the win.
- 2:07Speaker 2: It was a cool game.
- 2:07Speaker 1: This is a game that I'm sure Mike McDonald is
- 2:10Speaker 1: gonna is gonna be incredibly prepared for. He's gonna have
- 2:13Speaker 1: this defense incredibly prepared at their confidence level is through
- 2:16Speaker 1: the roof. But I know that Chris Shula is looking
- 2:20Speaker 1: at last year's UH playoff game against the Vikings when
- 2:25Speaker 1: they sacked Sam Donald nine times in the game, when
- 2:28Speaker 1: they got after him, they picked him off once. And
- 2:30Speaker 1: there he's looking at that trying to see what disguises,
- 2:33Speaker 1: what things he can take from that game play to
- 2:36Speaker 1: put into this one. I'm sure he's looking at things
- 2:40Speaker 1: that he did in the matchup early on in the
- 2:43Speaker 1: first matchup, the disguises, the way they forced him into mistakes.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But if i'm if I'm Sam Donald, like I said before,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm watching that fourth quarter in that overtime where he
- 2:54Speaker 1: played great football. If I'm K nine, I'm feeling really good.
- 2:58Speaker 1: He had one hundred yards on the eleven carries in
- 3:00Speaker 1: that second matchup. The offensive line found their rhythm. He's
- 3:04Speaker 1: played his best football when it's been required. And that's
- 3:07Speaker 1: what makes me excited about the Seattle Seahawks team. And again, Mitchell,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I'm wearing his hat for a reason because Super Bowl, Mitchell.
- 3:15Speaker 1: We went to that Super Bowl and we wanted they
- 3:18Speaker 1: gotta go again. This is gonna be a fantastic matchup,
- 3:21Speaker 1: and I think they have everything they need.
- 3:24Speaker 2: This is where legends are made.
- 3:25Speaker 1: This is the game where legends and legacies are created
- 3:30Speaker 1: and upheld.
- 3:31Speaker 2: You got guys like Leonard Williams and.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Julian Love who were in New York and hadn't really
- 3:38Speaker 1: had much success at all, much success, they never really
- 3:41Speaker 1: played meaningful football in this way, they're playing in their
- 3:43Speaker 1: first championship game. It's great to see those guys were
- 3:46Speaker 1: ready for the moment. I just saw a clip today
- 3:50Speaker 1: where Leonard Williams was talking to grey Zabel on the
- 3:52Speaker 1: sideline after halftime and grey Zabel gave him a little advice.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You talk about a ten year vet taking taking advice
- 3:59Speaker 1: from a rookie in a playoff game, and he takes
- 4:02Speaker 1: that advice, goes on the field and it creates a
- 4:05Speaker 1: sack for his team, and it was a huge play
- 4:07Speaker 1: in the ball game. And it just talks to the
- 4:09Speaker 1: camaraderie and the togetherness, the brotherhood that has been built
- 4:13Speaker 1: in Seattle. And that's what Those are the things that
- 4:17Speaker 1: you need in games like this. Those are the things
- 4:20Speaker 1: that make teams special when you win championships, when you
- 4:24Speaker 1: when you've built this brotherhood and everybody's talking about this
- 4:27Speaker 1: mob mission over bullshit, and that's the way they've been living,
- 4:31Speaker 1: Mitchell all season long. They have been on a mission
- 4:35Speaker 1: from day one. A training camp until now, they knew
- 4:38Speaker 1: what they had in the building. And if you came
- 4:40Speaker 1: to training camp and you got to watch that team,
- 4:42Speaker 1: if you spent any time in that building, you knew
- 4:44Speaker 1: what they had. That was a big reason I felt
- 4:47Speaker 1: good about them coming into the season, having those conversations
- 4:51Speaker 1: with Sam Darnold and JSN and the defense Tarik Wooling
- 4:54Speaker 1: and Mike McDonald, because it just felt different. You know
- 4:57Speaker 1: what a special championship locker rooms sounds like. You know
- 5:01Speaker 1: what it feels like, and that's what it looked like.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Could I have predicted them making it all the way
- 5:07Speaker 1: this year, and and and and playing as well as
- 5:10Speaker 1: they did in the divisional game, I couldn't have seen
- 5:13Speaker 1: it be in a forty one to six blowout. But
- 5:15Speaker 1: a defense finding its rhythm at the right time is
- 5:19Speaker 1: a dangerous thing. And they're finding their confidence, their rhythm,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and the rookie nick Emmin Worri is playing as good
- 5:27Speaker 1: as he's ever played in his career. And that's a
- 5:29Speaker 1: big reason why I feel like the Seattle Seahawks are
- 5:31Speaker 1: gonna pull this one off in a comfortable fashion. I
- 5:35Speaker 1: don't know if it's not gonna be the blowout that
- 5:37Speaker 1: it was against a I don't think it can be that,
- 5:40Speaker 1: but I think they're gonna feel good. I think they're
- 5:43Speaker 1: gonna be in control of this game. They just are
- 5:45Speaker 1: such an incredible team, complete team. The special teams are
- 5:50Speaker 1: amongst the best in the National Football League. The defense,
- 5:54Speaker 1: the offense, and even with Sam Darnold's injury, the way
- 5:57Speaker 1: the offensive line has been blocking. It's it's gonna be
- 6:01Speaker 1: different than you expect from the Seattle Seahawks team. I
- 6:04Speaker 1: still think their passing game is gonna be necessary. They're
- 6:07Speaker 1: gonna have to push the ball down the field. I
- 6:09Speaker 1: think Rashid Shaheit is gonna have to factor in, no
- 6:12Speaker 1: question about that.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Richard.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I have to admit I've been wildly impressed with the
- 6:16Speaker 3: Seattle Seahawks team even before their dominant performance against the
- 6:20Speaker 3: forty nine ers. Mike McDonald what an incredible hire for
- 6:23Speaker 3: this organization. You want to talk about transitioning from Pete
- 6:26Speaker 3: Carroll to the next guy, and that next guy, Mike
- 6:29Speaker 3: McDonald has stamped his imprint on this team. You saw
- 6:32Speaker 3: his vision, you saw his scheme in Baltimore, just a
- 6:36Speaker 3: wild defense getting after the football, wreaking havoc on quarterbacks,
- 6:40Speaker 3: causing turnovers. Baltimore was a ferocious defense. He has got
- 6:44Speaker 3: the personnel to absolutely wreak havoc on whoever they go
- 6:48Speaker 3: up against. And for that reason, I love the Seattle
- 6:50Speaker 3: Seahawks team. I don't even care about the offensive side
- 6:53Speaker 3: of the ball because what I saw this past weekend
- 6:56Speaker 3: against the forty nine ers. If this defense shows up
- 6:59Speaker 3: like that, good luck to the Rams. I think Seattle,
- 7:03Speaker 3: if they put twenty one on the board, they walk
- 7:05Speaker 3: away with a win because you can see it in
- 7:07Speaker 3: their eyes, man, and like you said, mission over bullshit.
- 7:11Speaker 3: You can see that model playing out on the field.
- 7:13Speaker 3: And you know you want to talk about absolutely dominating
- 7:17Speaker 3: an offseason, killing it with the drafty drafting guys like
- 7:20Speaker 3: you said, like Gray's Able, like Nick Amnwari. These are
- 7:24Speaker 3: guys that are going to be culture changers here in
- 7:26Speaker 3: Seattle for years to come. And Richard switching to the
- 7:30Speaker 3: offensive side of the ball. It's my boy. Canine's time
- 7:33Speaker 3: to shine. The Michigan State graduate. You saw him tail
- 7:35Speaker 3: and Tom Brady go green in that broadcast. After the win,
- 7:39Speaker 3: Zach Sharbonnay unfortunately goes out with an ACL injury, which
- 7:43Speaker 3: is brutal, but you know what. I've seen it firsthand
- 7:46Speaker 3: at Michigan State when Kenneth Walker absolutely dominated the Michigan
- 7:50Speaker 3: Wolverines and carried this team back from multiple scores down.
- 7:54Speaker 3: I think we see that same caneine this upcoming weekend
- 7:57Speaker 3: against the Rams. He's somebody that can the rock. He's
- 8:01Speaker 3: he can be a lone ranger in that backfield. I
- 8:03Speaker 3: promise you guys in Seattle, I think this is his
- 8:06Speaker 3: moment to shine, not to mention, he's got all the moment,
- 8:09Speaker 3: all of a motivation in the world. He's gonna be
- 8:11Speaker 3: a free agent after this year, so you know he's
- 8:13Speaker 3: going to be highly motivated to prove himself in this game.
- 8:16Speaker 3: You gotta love what you've seen from the Seattle's running
- 8:19Speaker 3: attack over the last handful of weeks. The question becomes,
- 8:23Speaker 3: cam Sam Darnold cure those demons against Chris Shula. He's
- 8:27Speaker 3: had not so much success over the last couple of years,
- 8:31Speaker 3: five touchdowns to seven interceptions, been sacked sixteen times. So
- 8:35Speaker 3: that question becomes, can Sam Donald manage this offense well
- 8:40Speaker 3: enough to bring home the victory? Do you think Sam
- 8:43Speaker 3: has it in him?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:44Speaker 1: I think he has it in him, And I think
- 8:46Speaker 1: again you don't have to save the world. He doesn't
- 8:48Speaker 1: have to be a world conqueror in this game. You
- 8:51Speaker 1: don't have to throw for five six touchdowns. When we
- 8:54Speaker 1: won the Super Bowl, it didn't take a ton. It
- 8:57Speaker 1: didn't take a ton of touchdowns from a quarterback.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Take it.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Marshawn Lynch consistent. Marshan Lynch running the football. Our run
- 9:04Speaker 1: game was consistent. He scored, He took over that NFC
- 9:07Speaker 1: championship game. Russell Wilson threw a critical clutch touchdown to
- 9:11Speaker 1: Jermaine Curse on a on a on a free play
- 9:13Speaker 1: where they got the defense to jump off sides on
- 9:16Speaker 1: a fourth down. Critical play, clutch moment. But it's not
- 9:19Speaker 1: like you have to to go out there and score
- 9:22Speaker 1: forty points and make it a shootout. This defense is
- 9:25Speaker 1: gonna do their part. They're gonna do their job. Can
- 9:28Speaker 1: they hold Matthew Stafford in check like they did in
- 9:31Speaker 1: the first game. That's gonna be another big question in
- 9:33Speaker 1: the game. Matthew Stafford the MVP of the league this
- 9:36Speaker 1: year is what I'm assuming he's gonna be named at
- 9:39Speaker 1: some point. Is is not gonna go quietly into the night.
- 9:42Speaker 1: He's a Super Bowl champion, for a reason. Him and
- 9:44Speaker 1: Sean McVeigh have been through dark moments, they've been through
- 9:47Speaker 1: these big games, they've been through these these critical games before.
- 9:50Speaker 1: But what they haven't been is in these critical games
- 9:54Speaker 1: against this aggressive Mike McDonald coach defense. And again, John
- 9:59Speaker 1: Snyder deserves a ton of credit, and you got to
- 10:01Speaker 1: give credit where it's due. He's built this team from
- 10:03Speaker 1: the bottom up. And you talk about guys like Charles Cross,
- 10:08Speaker 1: Byron Murphy from the last class, JSN from the last class, Uh,
- 10:12Speaker 1: Devin Witherspoon. You got guys like Ernest Jones that they
- 10:16Speaker 1: brought in that they that they brought in uh middle
- 10:19Speaker 1: of the season and and and made him their guy,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and now he's a he's a foundational piece of this defense.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Uh.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Guys like DeMarcus Lawrence they brought in who said he
- 10:28Speaker 1: wanted to go up pursue a championship. Guys like Greek
- 10:32Speaker 1: Wooland who he brought in, Kobe Bryant, who they've developed.
- 10:35Speaker 1: These are home A lot of these guys are home
- 10:37Speaker 1: grown talents. And then you talk about Gray's Abel and
- 10:40Speaker 1: K nine and all the rest of the guys. It's
- 10:42Speaker 1: not like they're just picking a ton of guys off
- 10:45Speaker 1: other teams that most of his team in its core
- 10:48Speaker 1: has been home grown.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Jared Reed. Jared Reed was drafted to the Seattle Seahawks.
- 10:52Speaker 1: He went and played other places, but he's back home
- 10:54Speaker 1: and he's playing fantastic football. There's so many guys that
- 10:58Speaker 1: they've got that that they've done developed and coached and
- 11:03Speaker 1: really nurtured. This this incredible culture that they have now
- 11:07Speaker 1: and you can see it the way they talk about
- 11:09Speaker 1: each other in these interviews, the way they talk in
- 11:11Speaker 1: press conferences.
- 11:12Speaker 2: That's the chemistry. Now. On the other side, the Rams
- 11:15Speaker 2: aren't again not going quietly into the night. They feel good.
- 11:19Speaker 1: About how they were able to attack Sam Donold in
- 11:22Speaker 1: this offense, but I think again K nine is gonna
- 11:26Speaker 1: have a huge impact.
- 11:27Speaker 2: They can feel as good as they want.
- 11:28Speaker 1: They gave up thirty eight points and the last time
- 11:31Speaker 1: they played, But I think this is gonna be a
- 11:33Speaker 1: different game.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's gonna be a mix of the first two games.
- 11:37Speaker 1: But Sam's gonna obviously be wary of being careful, being
- 11:40Speaker 1: cautious with the football, doing what he needs to do
- 11:42Speaker 1: to get the ball down the field and get his
- 11:45Speaker 1: team a win, not putting it at Harm's way K nine,
- 11:48Speaker 1: consistent running game.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I don't think they're gonna try to be cute.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I don't think Kubiak is gonna try to get too
- 11:55Speaker 1: cute in this game. They're gonna hand the football out,
- 11:58Speaker 1: football off and try to live in the way you
- 12:01Speaker 1: win championship football games and the way it's it's a
- 12:04Speaker 1: proven formula that has stood at the test of time.
- 12:07Speaker 1: You run the football, you play great defense, and you
- 12:10Speaker 1: walk off for the win. Obviously they get this win.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I think the winner of this game wins the Super Bowl.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I think the the.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Denver Broncos without bow knicks.
- 12:22Speaker 1: It's a great story, you know, it's a It's a
- 12:24Speaker 1: fantastic story that what they've been able to do this season,
- 12:27Speaker 1: what Sean Payton's done.
- 12:28Speaker 2: They were the number one seed.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Any time you lose your starting quarterback, it's a heartbreak
- 12:32Speaker 1: and a and a gut punch. I think the same
- 12:34Speaker 1: thing about the New England Patriots. Young quarterback that's been
- 12:38Speaker 1: an MVP candidate all season long, played fantastic, elevated his
- 12:43Speaker 1: team and his teammates, Mike Rabel and the way he's
- 12:46Speaker 1: he's he's created that culture and injected life and energy
- 12:50Speaker 1: into these guys. But you're running into a bus all
- 12:52Speaker 1: in this NFC. These these aren't guys that are playing around.
- 12:55Speaker 1: These aren't guys that are are feel good stories. That
- 12:58Speaker 1: these are big dogs, and I I think the big
- 13:00Speaker 1: dogs eat first and I think they they going to win.
- 13:03Speaker 1: But you know the NFL, that's why everybody watches the
- 13:05Speaker 1: game because you never know how things will shake out.
- 13:07Speaker 2: But that's what I feel.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Well, the Rams, you know, they've been road warriors these
- 13:13Speaker 3: first two games of this playoffs, going on the road
- 13:15Speaker 3: to beat Carolina and a thriller in the same way
- 13:18Speaker 3: against the Bears, So they're battle tested on the road.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I know they're going in into lumen Field against these
- 13:24Speaker 3: crazy twelves. Richard hard Rock Bett has this is a
- 13:28Speaker 3: two and a half point spread in favor of the Seahawks.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I know you said you spect a mix of the
- 13:32Speaker 3: two games. Well, I think that's what the hard Rock
- 13:35Speaker 3: Bett expects too. I mean these two teams and they're
- 13:38Speaker 3: two matchups. Fifty eight to fifty seven. The Rams have
- 13:42Speaker 3: outscored the Seahawks by one point. The two teams have
- 13:45Speaker 3: put up one hundred, eight hundred and thirty yards and
- 13:47Speaker 3: eight hundred and twenty nine yards, respectfully. See that shows
- 13:50Speaker 3: you how evenly balanced these two teams really are. Obviously
- 13:53Speaker 3: they know themselves, they know each other very very well.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Walk me through, what's your score prediction here in this game?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Oh, that's tough.
- 14:01Speaker 1: That's tough, because I have to expect the Seattle Seahawks
- 14:05Speaker 1: are going to have a better plan for poking Nicola,
- 14:07Speaker 1: who had twelve catches for two hundred and twenty five
- 14:09Speaker 1: yards in their last matchup, even with Davante Adams out
- 14:12Speaker 1: of that game. Obviously, Davante Adams is is gonna be
- 14:16Speaker 1: well and good and in Seattle present with his pats
- 14:19Speaker 1: on ready to play in this game. So how they
- 14:23Speaker 1: defended him isn't the way?
- 14:25Speaker 2: There?
- 14:26Speaker 1: A lot of it was dig routes and crossers and
- 14:28Speaker 1: allowing him to catch and run through the defense. Uh,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'm sure Mike McDonald is gonna do what a lot
- 14:33Speaker 1: of teams have done and crowd that middle of that
- 14:35Speaker 1: field with his safeties and linebackers and and kind of
- 14:38Speaker 1: just keep everything in front of them.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Make them check the.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Ball down, make them check it down to Kolby Parkinson
- 14:44Speaker 1: and Kyen williams Uh and Blake Korum and and and
- 14:47Speaker 1: allow them to to Hey, if Blake Korum and and
- 14:50Speaker 1: Kyen Williams have twelve and thirteen catches between them, you
- 14:53Speaker 1: feel good about that. You don't want Poking the Cool
- 14:56Speaker 1: and Davante to to get out there and beat you.
- 14:59Speaker 2: You want to be able to containing those guys.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You want to allow your pass rush to get home,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and you want to allow them to live. And he
- 15:05Speaker 1: let ten eleven play drives because when you have teams
- 15:09Speaker 1: taking ten eleven plays drives, it gives your defense opportunity
- 15:12Speaker 1: to force turnovers. In a game against the San Francisco
- 15:16Speaker 1: forty nine ers, those were a lot of those turnovers
- 15:18Speaker 1: were effort turnovers. They weren't necessarily mistakes by the San
- 15:24Speaker 1: Francisco forty nine ers. You look at the DeMarcus Lowrence
- 15:27Speaker 1: fumble that he forced on brock Party when brock Party
- 15:30Speaker 1: was scrambling. That was just pure effort. That was just
- 15:32Speaker 1: what DeMarcus Lawrence has put on tape weekend and week
- 15:35Speaker 1: out this season, and why this team has so much
- 15:37Speaker 1: love and respect for him and what he's brought because
- 15:40Speaker 1: he's done that. He came in, he came around and
- 15:43Speaker 1: chopped it, and Rock Purty gave the football. You look
- 15:46Speaker 1: at the fumble they forced on Jake Tongs again, just
- 15:51Speaker 1: an effort play, just guys going after the football. They
- 15:54Speaker 1: were out there hungry wolves. They're hungry, they are attacking.
- 15:58Speaker 1: They are finding immense play in running and hitting and
- 16:02Speaker 1: causing chaos. And when you get to that point, Mitchell,
- 16:05Speaker 1: you get to the point where your defense is just
- 16:08Speaker 1: enjoying causing chaos.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Atchally, it don't matter who you play the trout.
- 16:12Speaker 3: It sounds, it sounds familiar to twenty thirteen, twenty fourteen,
- 16:16Speaker 3: twenty fifteen, when you were playing with the league in
- 16:18Speaker 3: the Boom. I know you guys took pride in the
- 16:21Speaker 3: way you played and the energy you brought to that defense.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Richard, what is it like?
- 16:26Speaker 3: You've played in three three NFC championship games, obviously three
- 16:30Speaker 3: Super Bowls. You know, what is it like this moment?
- 16:33Speaker 3: I know the next one's the biggest one, but what
- 16:36Speaker 3: is it like playing in an NFC championship game?
- 16:40Speaker 1: You know, it was one of the things, and everybody's
- 16:42Speaker 1: gonna be max so cliche, but every game is a
- 16:45Speaker 1: championship game. And I'm sure Mike McDonald is given them
- 16:47Speaker 1: the same conversation like that don't treat this game any
- 16:50Speaker 1: different than the one before. I mean, all of them
- 16:53Speaker 1: are big games, all of them matter, all of them
- 16:55Speaker 1: are relevant. You've been locked in. You had to win
- 16:58Speaker 1: against the San Francisco for nineers to get the one seat.
- 17:01Speaker 1: You had to win to continue the season. You got
- 17:03Speaker 1: to keep winning to continue your season. But nothing changes.
- 17:05Speaker 1: The field of the same size. You're at home, you're
- 17:10Speaker 1: wearing the same jerseys, putting the same pads on, and
- 17:12Speaker 1: he's the same guy as your face before. You got
- 17:15Speaker 1: a point to prove you beat him before you can
- 17:17Speaker 1: beat him again. And uh, it's it's gonna take every
- 17:20Speaker 1: man just doing their job. It's gonna take every phase
- 17:23Speaker 1: just doing their job. And that's what they understand. On defense,
- 17:26Speaker 1: it's about being detailed, stopping pooping the cools, stopping Matthew Stafford,
- 17:30Speaker 1: getting pressure on the quarterback, getting this pass rush, getting home,
- 17:34Speaker 1: giving them exotic looks and and and being smart about
- 17:36Speaker 1: when you send the fire zones. I think Mike McDonald
- 17:39Speaker 1: is gonna be a little bit more cautious with with
- 17:41Speaker 1: sending those five men simulated pressures because Matthew Stafford was
- 17:46Speaker 1: finding those those those lanes. That's when a lot of
- 17:48Speaker 1: their explosive plays happened. They had ten explosive plays in
- 17:52Speaker 1: that last game against the Seattle Seahawks, and and I
- 17:54Speaker 1: know Mike McDonald was pulling his hair out because it
- 17:58Speaker 1: some of them are or just hey, they had answers
- 18:02Speaker 1: for the pressures that you were bringing and that there's
- 18:04Speaker 1: nothing the players can do at that point, you know
- 18:06Speaker 1: you They they found plays where the dns dropping in
- 18:10Speaker 1: the fire zone where he's the hook dropper, and that's
- 18:12Speaker 1: where they're attacking.
- 18:13Speaker 2: And Matthew Stafford a smart enough quarterback.
- 18:15Speaker 1: If he can diagnose it and the blitz doesn't get home,
- 18:18Speaker 1: he's gonna make you pay. And I think that's an
- 18:20Speaker 1: important lesson going into this game, is knowing when and
- 18:23Speaker 1: where the pressure and when and where to just trust
- 18:25Speaker 1: that your four man fine men, your four man rush
- 18:28Speaker 1: is gonna be able to get home and trust in
- 18:30Speaker 1: your back end can be disciplined and get these guys
- 18:32Speaker 1: covered up. I think there's an incredible chemistry in the
- 18:35Speaker 1: back end between guys that have played a lot of
- 18:37Speaker 1: football together now, and I think you gotta trust that.
- 18:40Speaker 1: So I think it is what it is when you
- 18:45Speaker 1: when you're flying high and you're playing with confidence and
- 18:47Speaker 1: you you you've been through as many battles as this
- 18:50Speaker 1: team has been through, you feel like you're you're invincible.
- 18:52Speaker 1: You feel like nobody can beat you. And a lot
- 18:54Speaker 1: of times that's what you need going into this game.
- 18:56Speaker 1: They're gonna need to twelves to be loud, and they're
- 18:58Speaker 1: gonna need the crowd to be rackets so that the
- 19:02Speaker 1: Rams understand that this ain't no walking the park. It
- 19:05Speaker 1: is not sweet out here, and I think that's what
- 19:07Speaker 1: it's going to come down to once they it's just
- 19:10Speaker 1: like against the San Francisco forty nineers. Once there was
- 19:12Speaker 1: blood in the water, and they felt there was blood
- 19:14Speaker 1: in the water Metell. It was like Piranhas. It was
- 19:16Speaker 1: Piranhas everywhere you at, Mitchell, and you don't want to
- 19:20Speaker 1: be in that water when the Piranhas is eating, when
- 19:22Speaker 1: they feasting and there's blood in the water.
- 19:24Speaker 2: And that's what it.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Was like for the San Francisco forty nine ers, and
- 19:27Speaker 1: I think that's what it's going to be like for
- 19:28Speaker 1: the Rams. It started from play one and it'll start
- 19:30Speaker 1: from play one with the Rams and a lot of
- 19:32Speaker 1: our NFC Championship games, Mitchell, both games we started we
- 19:36Speaker 1: were down ten points early in these games. We were
- 19:39Speaker 1: down in both games double digits and we were able
- 19:42Speaker 1: to come back and win. So it's not always perfect,
- 19:44Speaker 1: and that's what battle tests your team.
- 19:48Speaker 4: You know.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Sometimes you have some adversity in these games not going
- 19:50Speaker 1: the way you want them to go, and you have
- 19:52Speaker 1: to persevere. You have to overcome that if you really
- 19:55Speaker 1: want to become champions and you deserve and if you
- 19:57Speaker 1: are who you think you are, And sometimes that's what
- 20:00Speaker 1: allowed us to be the legendary defense that we were
- 20:03Speaker 1: because we were against the eight ball. You're putting difficult situations.
- 20:07Speaker 1: In both NFC Championship games. We started off in our
- 20:10Speaker 1: own territory. The first game, they our offense fumbled the
- 20:15Speaker 1: first or second play. We're at in the red zoner
- 20:18Speaker 1: at the twenty five or something, and you got to
- 20:20Speaker 1: stand up.
- 20:21Speaker 2: You got to hold them to a field goal.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I think in the Green Bay game there was a
- 20:24Speaker 1: pick and Hah returned it to the to the three
- 20:27Speaker 1: or four yard line and you got to stand up.
- 20:29Speaker 1: We held them able to hold them to field goals.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That's when you really are able to showcase what makes
- 20:35Speaker 1: you special. And I know there will be a moment
- 20:37Speaker 1: in this game for this defense to show why they
- 20:40Speaker 1: are who they say they are, and I can't wait
- 20:42Speaker 1: to watch.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I'm right there with you, hard Rocks two and a
- 20:46Speaker 3: half point line. I personally like the Seahawks as well.
- 20:50Speaker 3: I think that they're just riding too much of a
- 20:54Speaker 3: They're riding too high of a wave right now with
- 20:56Speaker 3: their momentum and having this game at home, seeing how
- 20:59Speaker 3: the Rams have just kind of squeaked by the last
- 21:02Speaker 3: couple of games, you know, albeit impressive wins, when you're
- 21:06Speaker 3: facing the Seattle Seahawks team that's clicking on all cylinders,
- 21:09Speaker 3: I feel like they've figured some things out and they're
- 21:11Speaker 3: ready to take care of the Rams this game. I
- 21:13Speaker 3: got them winning by a touchdown. I think we're looking
- 21:15Speaker 3: at like a twenty seven to twenty game and I
- 21:20Speaker 3: expect Sam Darnold to clean things up as well. You know, again,
- 21:24Speaker 3: he's gonna have to be more of a game manager
- 21:26Speaker 3: this this time. Get JSN involved. Give the ball to
- 21:29Speaker 3: my boy K nine. I like the Seattle Seahawks to
- 21:33Speaker 3: go on to the Super Bowl and face the winner
- 21:36Speaker 3: of the next game. Richard, let's talk a little bit
- 21:39Speaker 3: about the AFC.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Well, this game predict addiction because you you go ask me,
- 21:44Speaker 1: and I never gave you an actual number, Mitchell, and
- 21:46Speaker 1: I feel bad about that. I got Settle winning twenty
- 21:49Speaker 1: seven to seventeen in this ball game, scoring, and they'll
- 21:53Speaker 1: get a defensive score somewhere in there, Mitchell, I need
- 21:56Speaker 1: a defensive score.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I feel like I can feel it in my bones. Defense.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Give me a give me a player, dude, you extend
- 22:02Speaker 3: this one layer more?
- 22:04Speaker 2: One layer more? Is it?
- 22:07Speaker 3: NICKI?
- 22:08Speaker 2: Is it Witherspoon? I wanted to be Nick?
- 22:12Speaker 3: Is it Tyreek Woolin?
- 22:15Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not. He's not gonna get caught the Mark Lawrence.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Gimme Kobe Bryants got two touchdowns in the game.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Give me Kobe. He already got okay.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Twenty seven to twenty seven to seventeen, Seattle, per Richard Sherman.

- 24:13Speaker 3: All right, let's turn the page over to the AFC.
- 24:15Speaker 3: This game was supposed to be magnificent until Bonnicks took
- 24:21Speaker 3: a knee and broke his ankle. Now the storyline has
- 24:25Speaker 3: totally shifted. The number one seed. Denver Broncos welcome the
- 24:29Speaker 3: New England Patriots, who are a five and a half
- 24:31Speaker 3: point favorite per hard Rock Bet. Richard, I did a
- 24:34Speaker 3: little research prying to jumping on the podcast with you today.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Did you know that, prior to the injury of Bonicks,
- 24:42Speaker 3: Denver was actually a one and a half point favorite
- 24:45Speaker 3: going into this matchup against the New England Patriots.
- 24:48Speaker 2: So you see a.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Seven point swing with one guy going out. Obviously, it's
- 24:54Speaker 3: a big deal losing Bonix, But how big of a
- 24:57Speaker 3: deal is it for the Denver Broncos.
- 25:00Speaker 1: It's it's huge, it's colossal, it's monumental, it's enormous, whatever
- 25:03Speaker 1: you want to use. It's big, and it's the difference
- 25:07Speaker 1: between winning and losing in this in this league, that's
- 25:09Speaker 1: why the quarterback position is so valued and why they
- 25:12Speaker 1: pay them all the big bucks and why every team
- 25:15Speaker 1: is looking for one. Every single year that can put
- 25:17Speaker 1: them in this position to win the football game. I'm
- 25:19Speaker 1: not saying anything bad about Jared Stidham, but he didn't
- 25:23Speaker 1: get them here, and and and it's going to be
- 25:26Speaker 1: a tough task. It's going to be a tall mountain
- 25:28Speaker 1: to climb to expect him to come in this game
- 25:30Speaker 1: and play impactful football. But the Broncos have the defense
- 25:34Speaker 1: to give them a chance. They've been fantastic, they've been dynamic,
- 25:37Speaker 1: they've been making plays all year. They're battle testing, no
- 25:40Speaker 1: question about it. And on the flip side, the Patriots.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Patriots are battle tested. But Drake May was sacked five
- 25:46Speaker 1: times against the Chargers and he was sacked five times
- 25:49Speaker 1: against the Houston Texans. He fumbled multiple times in both
- 25:52Speaker 1: of these games. Put the ball on the ground. There
- 25:54Speaker 1: were multitude of opportunities for the Houston Texans to scoop
- 25:58Speaker 1: and score and and and really changed the outcome of
- 26:01Speaker 1: this game defensively. And I think the same is going
- 26:03Speaker 1: to be true for the Denver Broncos. Will Campbell struggled
- 26:07Speaker 1: with some of the pressure from from O way Uh
- 26:09Speaker 1: with the Chargers and and Khalil Mack, and he struggled
- 26:12Speaker 1: a little bit with with He struggled a lot a
- 26:14Speaker 1: bit with Will Anderson. But who doesn't struggle with Will
- 26:16Speaker 1: Anderson and daneil Hunter. And I think Edrin Cooper and
- 26:20Speaker 1: and Nick Ponito are going to cause issues for this,
- 26:23Speaker 1: for this uh, for this offense of the the New
- 26:28Speaker 1: England Patriots, and and unlike the Houston Texans defense that
- 26:33Speaker 1: that struggled a little bit in mandon Man coverage, no
- 26:35Speaker 1: question about it. And I think they would admit that
- 26:38Speaker 1: these guys do not. They got Derek sten Stingley Kashawan
- 26:42Speaker 1: Boody on a critical touchdown pass late in the game
- 26:45Speaker 1: one on one coverage he beat Singley and and that
- 26:48Speaker 1: was a huge play, not a place Thingley gives up
- 26:50Speaker 1: very often, one of the best corners of the National
- 26:52Speaker 1: Football League. And again you go to the next week
- 26:54Speaker 1: and you're playing the reigning defensive player of the Year
- 26:57Speaker 1: and Patrick certain and he does play man to man.
- 27:00Speaker 1: He is a tough outfit. And you ask any receiver
- 27:03Speaker 1: in AFC, any receiver that has faced him, He's gonna
- 27:05Speaker 1: be there. He's gonna be in your your pocket. Can
- 27:08Speaker 1: you deal with him? Can they deal with that? Uh?
- 27:10Speaker 2: Is he gonna be shadowing or falling following anybody.
- 27:13Speaker 1: But then on the other side, you got our guy
- 27:15Speaker 1: Riley Moss for Endo the program, uh, who also plays
- 27:19Speaker 1: a lot of man and man coverage. And you know,
- 27:20Speaker 1: the hardest job in the NFL is playing corner opposite
- 27:23Speaker 1: of Patrick's certain So what does Vance Joseph do in
- 27:26Speaker 1: those situations? Is he gonna give him help? Are they
- 27:28Speaker 1: gonna stack the box? Are they gonna are they gonna
- 27:31Speaker 1: be able to compensate for for the issues that they
- 27:34Speaker 1: have in certain situations? This defense plays aggressive man to
- 27:38Speaker 1: man defense about thirty percent of the time. They mix
- 27:40Speaker 1: in different coverages, but most of the time, when the
- 27:42Speaker 1: game's on the line, those guys are gonna be in
- 27:44Speaker 1: man and man and they're gonna be able to that.
- 27:47Speaker 1: That's gonna be the the tail of the game. Can
- 27:49Speaker 1: the Denver Broncos offense overcome the loss of bone I
- 27:53Speaker 1: mean bone knicks by running the football and not asking
- 27:59Speaker 1: a ton from Jared's did him?
- 28:00Speaker 2: You cannot ask him to win you this game.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I think that's unfair and that's unrealistic to think he's
- 28:05Speaker 1: gonna throw it twenty five thirty times and they're gonna
- 28:07Speaker 1: walk away with a winning This game. They're gonna have
- 28:09Speaker 1: to get the lead early and then just nurture it
- 28:12Speaker 1: throughout the game. You're just gonna have to to milk
- 28:15Speaker 1: the clock. You're gonna have to win the time of possession,
- 28:17Speaker 1: win the turnover battle. Everything's gonna have to go right
- 28:19Speaker 1: in order for the Denver Broncos to get a win
- 28:21Speaker 1: this week.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Well, Jared Sidham is sitting behind the broncos number one
- 28:26Speaker 3: ranked offensive line per PFF, so you know they've got
- 28:30Speaker 3: that going for him. And R. J. Harvey's really come
- 28:32Speaker 3: on late here in this year, so they clearly was
- 28:34Speaker 3: a good, good rookie draft pick for them. The question is, obviously,
- 28:38Speaker 3: Ken Devers defense rise to the occasion and make it
- 28:42Speaker 3: uncomfortable for Drake May. They're gonna have to cause turnovers
- 28:45Speaker 3: like you talked about the other game. They're gonna probably
- 28:48Speaker 3: have to get a defensive score. You know, Drake May
- 28:50Speaker 3: will be the first QB to face a top five
- 28:53Speaker 3: defense in each of his first three playoff games in
- 28:56Speaker 3: a season since Cam Newton at twenty fifteen. You know,
- 28:59Speaker 3: so that's another story line here. But obviously the NFL
- 29:02Speaker 3: and everyone talking football did not expect that they have
- 29:05Speaker 3: a bow Nichless Denver Broncos team as the opponent, so
- 29:10Speaker 3: unfortunately the storyline is dramatically shifted. Can this Denver Broncos
- 29:15Speaker 3: defense keep things competitive? And like you said, I like
- 29:18Speaker 3: how you termed it nurture Homill win when Denver takes
- 29:23Speaker 3: a lead. Jared Stidham has been around this league enough times, man,
- 29:26Speaker 3: but he has not taken a stamp in several years.
- 29:30Speaker 3: You know, so the Patriots have got to be chopping
- 29:32Speaker 3: at the bit defensively too. You know. They caused absolute
- 29:36Speaker 3: havoc and made life so uncomfortable for CJ.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Stroud.
- 29:39Speaker 3: I can only imagine what's going on with Jared Stidham
- 29:42Speaker 3: right now. That being said, if you are Sean Payton,
- 29:45Speaker 3: knowing the circumstances, what offensive game plan are you rolling
- 29:50Speaker 3: out there to try to combat New England.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I'm keeping it simple. Obviously, This New England defense is
- 29:58Speaker 2: very variable.
- 29:58Speaker 1: They do a great job to and you heard the
- 30:01Speaker 1: conversation after the Chargers game that the Chargers offense didn't
- 30:04Speaker 1: know what they were in majority of the time. You
- 30:06Speaker 1: don't want to put a young, inexperienced quarterback behind center
- 30:10Speaker 1: and say hey, I want you to go up back
- 30:12Speaker 1: there and diagnose this defense and and and deal out passes.
- 30:15Speaker 1: You don't want to do that. He's gonna keep it simple.
- 30:17Speaker 1: He's gonna run the football. It's gonna be simple, play actions,
- 30:21Speaker 1: keep the game right in front of him. Simple reads
- 30:24Speaker 1: that he can say, hey, his own side, man side,
- 30:26Speaker 1: figure it out, you know, get guys crossing, get guys
- 30:30Speaker 1: in motion, so he can diagnose and know what he's seeing.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Early on, Stidham is just gonna have to use his
- 30:36Speaker 1: legs at times, like, use everything that's at your disposal
- 30:41Speaker 1: to win this game.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Now. I know the Patriots have to be feeling good.
- 30:44Speaker 1: There aren't many times you get such a gift in
- 30:47Speaker 1: the playoffs in the NFL whe where you say, hey,
- 30:50Speaker 1: you're going against a really tough opponent, but hey, they
- 30:52Speaker 1: just lost the starting quarterback that put him in this position.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Can you go out and beat him.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I know Mike Rabel is doing everything to tell his
- 31:01Speaker 1: team not to take this team lightly. Do not take
- 31:04Speaker 1: this quarterback lightly. This is this is this is a situation.
- 31:07Speaker 1: They can come in here and beat us if we
- 31:09Speaker 1: if we don't do what we're supposed to do. Like
- 31:13Speaker 1: sometimes the biggest part of winning a championship is being
- 31:17Speaker 1: who you're supposed to be, not letting your opponent down.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Mitchell.
- 31:20Speaker 1: When when people would come in to see our defense,
- 31:23Speaker 1: you didn't want to let him down. They knew, hey,
- 31:25Speaker 1: this is gonna be an ice bag game. And I
- 31:28Speaker 1: guess what, Mitchell. We are not going to disappoint him.
- 31:30Speaker 1: We are going to be exactly what they expect us
- 31:33Speaker 1: to be when they when they expect to get hit.
- 31:35Speaker 1: We're gonna be there laying punishment on them when they
- 31:38Speaker 1: expected to get intercepted.
- 31:39Speaker 2: I'll be back there, you know.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Just combining and I'll be I'll be there type type deal, Mitchell.
- 31:49Speaker 1: You got to get a little singing in here. It's
- 31:50Speaker 1: that kind of deal. But the Patriots deal.
- 31:52Speaker 3: I'll just our background dance with you, man, anytime you
- 31:55Speaker 3: want to sing, I'll just be over here, you know,
- 31:57Speaker 3: do whatever you need me to do. We'll do some
- 31:59Speaker 3: choreography off air, though.
- 32:01Speaker 1: No question, no question, Mitch. Well, I've seen your dance
- 32:03Speaker 1: moves and I must say they're fantastic. The Patriots defense
- 32:08Speaker 1: is underrated. Though they're underrated. They're six against the rush,
- 32:11Speaker 1: nine against the past, they're eight in total total yards
- 32:14Speaker 1: and their number four scoring defense. So we don't talk
- 32:16Speaker 1: about them a ton because they don't have a ton
- 32:19Speaker 1: of the big names, but the names they do play
- 32:21Speaker 1: really high level football. We got Christian Gonzalez at the corner.
- 32:24Speaker 1: We got our guy Carlton Banks, who I got to
- 32:27Speaker 1: play with, play on the same.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Field with Carlton Davis Richard. Carlton Banks is doing my dance.
- 32:36Speaker 3: You're right, hell yeah, hell yeah, No, carl Carlton Davis,
- 32:41Speaker 3: but I need I think everyone knows where you're getting at.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Carlton Davis Ballard.
- 32:44Speaker 1: By the way, Carlton Davis c CD had two interceptions
- 32:47Speaker 1: last game. Played fantastic. Again, they play a lot of
- 32:50Speaker 1: man and man covers because he and Christian Gonzalez are
- 32:54Speaker 1: fantastic man and man cover corners, but they're also great
- 32:57Speaker 1: and zone. Marcus Jones is a fantastic play acre on
- 33:00Speaker 1: that defense. He's He's had multiple touchdowns. Sometimes you'll see
- 33:03Speaker 1: him on the offensive side of the ball. He's also
- 33:05Speaker 1: a punt returner. He had a pick six in the
- 33:07Speaker 1: last game that was a huge impact play that really
- 33:09Speaker 1: broke the backs of the Houston Texans. So look for
- 33:12Speaker 1: him to continue to make plays. Then you got guys
- 33:14Speaker 1: like Splaine in the middle of that defense. Uh Clavon
- 33:18Speaker 1: Chase on guys that that aren't necessarily the biggest names.
- 33:21Speaker 1: He was drafted high. He just seems like he's in
- 33:23Speaker 1: a great spot and a great rhythm playing where he's
- 33:26Speaker 1: supposed to be playing. Milton Williams Barmore in the middle
- 33:29Speaker 1: of that defense, so stout against the run, they're you're
- 33:32Speaker 1: not just moving those guys up out of there. These
- 33:34Speaker 1: guys were highly touted, highly paid free agents that are
- 33:37Speaker 1: making tremendous impact. And that's why this defense has been
- 33:40Speaker 1: so fantastic. They're well coached, they're disciplined, they're ball aware,
- 33:45Speaker 1: they have great ball skills in the secondary. They have
- 33:47Speaker 1: big time playmakers, they have a great defensive line, have everything.
- 33:52Speaker 2: That's that's why they're here.
- 33:54Speaker 3: So with that being a hard rock bat five and
- 33:56Speaker 3: a half point favorite New England Patriots, how do you
- 33:59Speaker 3: see this playing out?
- 34:00Speaker 2: Do you think they cover that well? Mitchell?
- 34:02Speaker 1: Everybody, everybody, and I mean everybody. That's why the movies
- 34:06Speaker 1: do so well. Loves the fairy tale. They love a
- 34:09Speaker 1: happy ending. They love when Cinderella, the abuse young lady
- 34:16Speaker 1: stepsister gets to be with the prince at the end,
- 34:19Speaker 1: and it's happily. Ever, at this ain't one of them stories.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Mitchell.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I got the New England Patriots coming into Denver and
- 34:28Speaker 1: winning comfortably. They will impose their will on the Denver
- 34:31Speaker 1: Broncos offense. The lack of quarterback play is gonna be
- 34:36Speaker 1: the difference in this game. In my humble opinion, I
- 34:39Speaker 1: think the Denver Broncos defense does everything they can, just
- 34:43Speaker 1: like the Houston Texans did, does everything they can to
- 34:46Speaker 1: keep their offense in it, but eventually they are getting
- 34:49Speaker 1: worn down. Too many possessions, too many three and outs
- 34:52Speaker 1: for this offense. I think Mike Rabel is gonna stack
- 34:54Speaker 1: the box. He's gonna have eight and nine people in
- 34:57Speaker 1: this box to stop this run. He's going to Sean
- 35:00Speaker 1: Payton to drop back and throw and punish this defense
- 35:04Speaker 1: with Jared Stidham.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Will Will he be willing to do that? Will he be.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Willing to play a straight shootout game with Jared Stidham?
- 35:10Speaker 1: I don't think he will. And I know that's what
- 35:12Speaker 1: Brable is going to be expecting, is that they're going
- 35:15Speaker 1: to run this ball early and often. I don't think
- 35:18Speaker 1: that Denver is gonna have enough to win this game.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I got the New England Patriots winning this game twenty
- 35:24Speaker 1: one to fifteen.
- 35:28Speaker 3: You and I see eyed. I too think that New
- 35:32Speaker 3: England is going to be too tough a task for them.
- 35:34Speaker 3: I think, listen, Denver is going to be lively. It's
- 35:37Speaker 3: going to be a very hype environment with all those fans.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Everyone's gonna be a US against the World mentality with
- 35:43Speaker 3: Jared Stidham at the helm. But I think it's just
- 35:45Speaker 3: too much to overcome. You know, defense is probably gonna
- 35:48Speaker 3: make a handful of big plays, but Water is gonna
- 35:50Speaker 3: find his level and New England Patriots are going to
- 35:51Speaker 3: be marching out of the Super Bowl. Look for Hunter
- 35:54Speaker 3: Henry to have a big game this weekend. That's a
- 35:57Speaker 3: weak spot in this Denver defense. I've a lot almost
- 35:59Speaker 3: sixty yards a game to opposing tight ends. We saw
- 36:02Speaker 3: Dalton Kincaid go off for six catches in eighty three
- 36:05Speaker 3: yards in a score last weekend. So you know, Hunter
- 36:08Speaker 3: Henry a seasoned veteran for the New England Patriots. I
- 36:11Speaker 3: like him a lot. And then that tanem At running back,
- 36:13Speaker 3: Travion Henderson and ramondre Stevenson. They've been clicking of late.
- 36:17Speaker 3: So I think this offense and We've seen the growth
- 36:20Speaker 3: of Drake May over the last you know, second half
- 36:23Speaker 3: of the season. It's time to put to rest the
- 36:26Speaker 3: claim that the Patriots only good because their schedules soft.
- 36:29Speaker 3: I think they're actually really good and I wouldn't overlook
- 36:32Speaker 3: them in a matchup what we're calling right now is
- 36:35Speaker 3: a Seattle Seahawks against New England Patriots super Bowl. I
- 36:39Speaker 3: would not overlook them as a worthy opponent for the
- 36:42Speaker 3: Seattle Seahawks. You got a young Drake May. This would
- 36:47Speaker 3: be an awesome story for the Seattle Seahawks to overcome
- 36:52Speaker 3: the New England Patriots.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Again, Richard, it's just giving me flashbacks, and you know,
- 36:57Speaker 1: it's great memories, but then it's trauma, you know what
- 36:59Speaker 1: I mean. You're talking about the New England Patriots, the
- 37:02Speaker 1: Seattle Seahawks, and an NFC West opponent's field.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Mitchell. We were in Arizona, they're in Levi Stadium, they're
- 37:09Speaker 2: in Oh Oh. But this is this is we talked
- 37:13Speaker 2: about exercise and Demons. Mitchell.
- 37:15Speaker 1: That will be a super Bowl that Demons would be
- 37:17Speaker 1: exercise Mitchell, that would be at exodus, Mitchell, bring it back,
- 37:22Speaker 1: Avenge us Avenge what okay?
- 37:26Speaker 2: Sorry, Mitchell got carried away.
- 37:28Speaker 3: I'm gonna say one thing, Richard, and I want you
- 37:30Speaker 3: to react. You know, jive with me here, you can react,
- 37:32Speaker 3: you know facial expression. You give me a one word answer,
- 37:35Speaker 3: You can give me a paragraph, you give me a
- 37:36Speaker 3: full chapter of a book.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I don't care what goes through.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Your nagging when I say, run the damn I don't
- 37:45Speaker 3: want to talk about I don't want.
- 37:46Speaker 2: To talk about it. I don't want to talk about Mitchell.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I don't want to talk about it. Mitchell, Mitchell, I
- 37:51Speaker 2: got a hat.
- 37:53Speaker 4: They made me get a hat. Run the ball, Mitchell.
- 38:00Speaker 4: I'm make sure our wedders have to run the ball.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Kenneth Walker. You know what I'm calling it right now,
- 38:13Speaker 4: Kenneth Walker. Super Bowl MVP done. You want to talk
- 38:17Speaker 4: about exercising demons, Richard, Kenneth Walker should have been at
- 38:21Speaker 4: the Heisman ceremony man, and he wasn't.
- 38:23Speaker 3: That was bullshit. He's gonna win the Super Bowl MVP.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Jot it down now. We're gonna timestap this for later.
- 38:30Speaker 3: But run the damn ball.
- 38:33Speaker 2: You heard it.
- 38:34Speaker 3: I need one of those hats.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Thank you guys for joining us.
- 38:41Speaker 1: We know you could be anywhere in the world, but
- 38:43Speaker 1: you hear with us and we surely do appreciate it.
- 38:45Speaker 1: On this a championship week in the National Football League,
- 38:49Speaker 1: we appreciate you guys joining us.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Love you. See you next time.
- 38:54Speaker 1: For the Super Bowl preview, actually for the Championship recamp
- 38:59Speaker 1: because we're gonna figure out who going to the big game.
- 39:03Speaker 2: We'll see you next time and again, as always, hit
- 39:05Speaker 2: that up button if you don't
- 39:09Speaker 1: H
