0:14
Hello beautiful souls and welcome back to Just
0:18
Be True, a soul -led podcast. I am your host
0:22
Summer and I am so grateful that you are here
0:25
today. This week we're exploring something everyone
0:30
can benefit from. It's in all aspects of our
0:34
lives and that is boundaries. Not just the personal
0:39
boundaries but also the spiritual ones. The emotional
0:42
and the energetic boundaries that shape every
0:45
part of our well -being. And I'm going to say
0:48
that this week's topic isn't just one that came
0:52
to me randomly or came to me through meditation
0:57
or from guys. This came to me more from witnessing
1:01
others recently struggling to honor their own
1:05
boundaries and their limits. This was through
1:08
conversations, stories, observation, and even
1:12
the quiet observations that were carried through
1:18
conversations that I've had with individuals.
1:21
And so, you know, I would hear stuff like, I
1:25
know what I need, you know, I'm just afraid to
1:28
honor that boundary. I know that I need to set
1:31
this boundary, but what if it's not accepted
1:35
or what if the other individual finds it not
1:41
acceptable, right? Or what are they going to
1:45
do if I tell them not? that this is unacceptable
1:49
and that where my boundaries are. And so it's
1:52
being able to set aside those worries and those
1:56
concerns, right? Because we've all been there.
2:00
We know when we've either crossed the boundaries
2:04
ourselves from over commitment or doing things
2:07
that we probably didn't feel like we should be
2:09
doing, but we did them anyway because we felt
2:11
responsible for it or we felt that we had a commitment
2:16
for that. are also allowing people to cross over
2:22
our personal boundaries about speaking to us
2:25
certain ways or treating us in certain ways so
2:28
we've all done that and so you know this conversation
2:32
is to help you set aside those worries and those
2:35
concerns about others and respecting your own
2:38
boundaries and learning to have the courage to
2:40
speak up the courage to choose ourselves the
2:43
courage to say no without guilt so today we're
2:48
going to dive into that courage and we're going
2:50
to learn to own it a little bit more and it takes
2:53
practice this isn't something that we can done
2:56
overnight but the more you practice it the more
2:59
you step into it the easier it becomes and the
3:02
more empowering empowering that it becomes as
3:06
well so what what are boundaries you know boundaries
3:12
are not walls They're not cold. They're not rejection.
3:18
Your boundaries are clarity. They are the sacred
3:22
lines that defines where your energy ends and
3:25
where the world begins. They're your safeguard
3:28
for your peace. They protect your intuition.
3:32
They support your emotional health and they help
3:37
you stay aligned with who you truly are. So your
3:42
boundaries is an amazing thing to embrace and
3:47
to bring into your day -to -day life. Spiritual
3:51
boundaries especially are often overlooked, but
3:57
for intuitives, empaths, healers, and anyone
4:02
walking in a soul -led path, boundaries are extremely
4:07
essential. And a lot of times we forget to set
4:11
those boundaries when we're doing our energetic
4:13
work our spiritual work Or even if you're just
4:16
beginning your spiritual path, right? Setting
4:19
those boundaries is extremely important Because
4:22
they're gonna help maintain your mental health
4:25
They're gonna help maintain your emotional health
4:28
and they're also gonna help maintain your physical
4:30
health as well So Our boundaries are essential.
4:39
They're what keeps your energy from becoming
4:42
scattered or drained. They also allow your intuitive
4:48
voice to stay clear. So you're setting those
4:53
boundaries so the intuitive information that
4:56
comes in is more clear and you're able to speak
4:59
it and share it with the proper intent. So how
5:05
can we know our boundaries have been crossed?
5:09
You know, some of us may know instantly when
5:11
boundaries have been crossed. Other times we
5:13
may not realize it mentally, right? Right away.
5:19
So but most of the time your body knows before
5:21
your mind does. So have you ever felt that tightening
5:25
in your chest? The sinking feeling in your stomach?
5:30
Or the sudden heaviness? After talking to someone
5:34
like you just feel like You know, it's just too
5:37
much These sensations are your boundary speaking
5:41
So you don't need to justify them You don't need
5:46
to over explain them You don't even need to convince
5:53
any one of them you don't have to Your body communicates
5:58
in truth your intuitive communicates and whispers
6:03
and your energy communicates and sensations so
6:08
all you have to do is learn to listen to all
6:11
of these things listen to your body when it's
6:15
talking to you sometimes your boundaries can
6:17
get over cross where you either need to separate
6:19
you need to set a firm boundary right or you
6:24
just need to rest and recoup your intuition communicates
6:30
and whispers so you may hear things like you
6:35
need space or it's okay to say no or this isn't
6:42
yours to own right those are common things that
6:47
you may have a knowing of or a sensation of and
6:51
your energy also communicates and sensations
6:54
so the heaviness on That are weighing on your
6:59
shoulders, right? The sinking feeling in your
7:02
stomach of feeling sick and nauseous. Those are
7:05
signs So learning to listen to those and honor
7:08
those signs is extremely important So, you know
7:14
talking about honoring your signs you need to
7:16
honor your boundaries So how do we honor boundaries
7:20
with grace? Well, I have a few ways that may
7:23
help The first thing you can do is give yourself
7:27
permission. You are allowed to say no. You are
7:34
allowed to change your mind, right? And you are
7:39
allowed to take space. Take space for what you
7:44
need. If you need people to move out of your
7:47
space, move them out of your space. right clear
7:51
your space so it's clear and only your energy
7:54
and your energetic vibrations are sitting in
7:57
that space right it's perfectly okay to say no
8:00
you can say no with a good heart you can say
8:05
no with love and inspiration behind it you can
8:09
say no respectfully and it's always okay to change
8:15
your mind And so, you know, so I don't feel guilty
8:19
about changing my mind. I started getting into
8:23
the habit to where if someone asked me to do
8:25
something, I'll say, you know, I'll say, I'll
8:30
see what I can do and see what we can, you know,
8:33
how we can make it happen. Or I won't say, yeah,
8:37
I promise I'll do that. So I leave out the word
8:41
promise and I'll be like, I'll do my best. let's
8:45
see what happens or you know and if it just can't
8:50
happen I'll just be like sorry I can't do this
8:52
it's not my thing and have somebody else you
8:56
know they like have somebody else do it right
8:58
but it's not my thing and I I wish you well on
9:01
that journey right so it's perfectly okay to
9:04
change your mind you can you know make plans
9:08
with a friend to go out to dinner But then as
9:13
the time approaches and you start feeling like
9:16
hesitant about it, like it may not be a good
9:18
decision, or that you may have a whole lot of
9:21
other things on your mind, you can't be fully
9:23
present to have dinner with your friend, call
9:28
up and say, hey, sorry, I need to reschedule.
9:31
You know, I need to take the time to do X, Y,
9:37
and Z. you know or I just need to reschedule
9:39
you don't have to explain why just say can we
9:41
reschedule or if you don't even feel like rescheduling
9:45
say sorry I'm not going to be able to do that
9:48
you know and just leave it at that you don't
9:50
have to offer reschedule you don't have to offer
9:53
some other time you can just say sorry I'm not
9:56
going to be able to make it to dinner and just
9:59
leave it at that you don't owe anyone an explanation
10:02
right it's all about how you feel about it right
10:08
The second way to honor your boundary is speak
10:11
clearly without apology. I kind of spoke on that
10:15
a little bit. A boundary doesn't have to be harsh.
10:19
It only needs to be true. So be truthful about
10:22
your boundaries, right? So let's say someone
10:28
said something to you that was unacceptable,
10:33
right? And their behavior towards you was unacceptable.
10:37
You let him know sorry, you know, just let him
10:40
don't say sorry. I like I even broke my whole
10:43
thing about with apology, but just say the way
10:46
you're speaking to me is not acceptable. Let's
10:49
come back and have this conversation when we
10:51
can both be at an energetic level or an emotional
10:55
level that supports us both. Right? Screaming
10:59
and yelling is not acceptable. So come back and
11:02
talk to me when we can speak calmly to one another.
11:06
Or I see that your emotions are very highly engaged
11:09
in this. Let's pause and come back and have this
11:12
discussion later. If your emotions are getting
11:17
wound up, if you're getting, you know, emotional
11:23
and out of control about the conversation, you
11:26
can stop it. Be like, you know, I need to stop
11:29
this conversation right here. We'll pick it up
11:31
later. And go and recollect yourself. Go for
11:34
a walk. Right? Set that boundary, set that distance
11:37
between you and what's going on. Right? That
11:39
keeps your mental health, your emotional health
11:42
safe. And you set these nice clear boundaries
11:46
that didn't hurt anyone. Right? It probably helped
11:49
the situation more than anything. Another thing
11:53
you can do is let your let your energy lead.
11:58
If something feels heavy, draining or misaligned,
12:02
that's a sign. So don't do it or change the situation
12:09
right or be like, you know I really don't need
12:11
to be around that person because they don't make
12:13
me feel well I Just don't need to be around that
12:16
person. I need to protect my own energy It's
12:19
perfectly fine to do that Right because you're
12:22
protecting yourself Let me tell you there's no
12:25
one more important for you Than yourself If you
12:31
don't take care of yourself, you can't take care
12:33
of others You don't take care of yourself. You
12:37
can't be there for others, right? So you need
12:40
to be able to take care of yourself and learning
12:42
to honor that and realizing that you're just
12:44
as important and actually more important than
12:47
others. It's not that you're being self -centered
12:50
or you're being narcissistic. It just means that
12:53
you're taking care of yourself and you're making
12:55
you a priority so you can lead in your truth
13:00
and so you can walk in your truth. The last thing
13:05
that you can do is release the guilt. I know
13:08
there's a lot of guilt around setting these boundaries.
13:12
You know, so many of us were raised with belief
13:14
that saying no was unkind or putting ourselves
13:18
first was selfish or that maintaining boundaries
13:22
meant that you were pushing others away. These
13:26
beliefs were taught to us by people who were
13:29
doing the best that they could. that they often
13:32
came from a place of fear, a place in their heads
13:39
of unhealed patterns, right? And so being able
13:46
to break that is going to be important. And we're
13:52
realizing now that we are moving into this new
13:57
vibrational energy right it's been happening
14:00
for several years now but we're realizing that
14:03
these old beliefs and these old systems no longer
14:06
serve us this is one of those that no longer
14:09
serve us a lot of our beliefs were planted in
14:14
a place of fear and there's no reason to fear
14:21
You know your boundaries make you healthy your
14:24
boundaries are empowering your boundaries Support
14:30
you So let go of those fear -based beliefs and
14:35
step into who you truly are There's also even
14:40
higher truth your needs are valid absolutely
14:46
100 % Your energy is sacred And no one should
14:52
be able to take that away from you. And your
14:55
boundaries do not harm others. They simply honor
15:00
you. And there's nothing more important than
15:03
you honoring yourself. So truly learn how to
15:10
embrace and hold on to that. Right? The moment
15:14
you release the beliefs you were brought up with
15:17
and begin honoring your own boundaries from a
15:20
place of self -love, you reclaim your power,
15:24
your clarity, and your connection with your higher
15:26
self. So I say hang on to those boundaries and
15:32
put them out there with pride and confidence
15:34
and self -love, right? Just make them yours and
15:39
own every bit of it. So let's talk about boundaries
15:44
in our spiritual work. For those of us who channel,
15:49
read energy, do Reiki, do intuitive readings,
15:54
tarot card readings, we open ourselves up for
15:58
intuitive guidance. Boundaries become even more
16:01
important. Because you're calling in energies
16:05
that don't belong to you. You're calling in energies
16:09
to provide you information. Or you're tapping
16:12
into someone else's energy so you can give them
16:18
the healing or the information that they're seeking.
16:24
Not everyone is meant to access your energy.
16:29
So remember that first and foremost. Not every
16:33
situation deserves your openness. Not every connection
16:40
is aligned with your path. So when you are working
16:48
with someone else's energy and you may feel another
16:53
energy that's coming in that doesn't quite resonate
16:56
and it doesn't feel good you can tell it to back
17:00
off and you can push it away. I mean, it's perfectly
17:05
safe to do that. You can also ask spirit to communicate
17:09
from you from a distance. It takes practice,
17:13
right? But you can ask them to communicate from
17:15
a distance. You can use like a screen door effect,
17:18
right? You have a screen door between you and
17:20
them to where you can hear and sense them, but
17:23
they're not coming into your energy field, right?
17:28
So, and it's okay to do that. right and that
17:31
protects your energy so you're not having their
17:35
unhealthy energy or that unhealthy or that energy
17:39
that's not aligned with your higher self or within
17:43
your path interfere with your energetic field
17:46
right it's perfectly okay to do that some boundaries
17:51
sound like i'm not available for that energy
17:55
i'm honoring my need to rest By all means rest.
18:01
I choose who enters my space Right? I love that
18:06
one My intuition is guiding me away from this
18:11
So definitely if your intuition is guiding you
18:15
away from something follow that intuition, right?
18:19
And your spiritual boundaries protect not just
18:22
your peace They protect your gifts as well. They
18:26
protect those spiritual gifts Also allows you
18:31
to When you set these spiritual boundaries, it
18:34
also allows you to understand your own power
18:39
your Your true abilities with your gifts and
18:45
how you can connect and how you can Limit what
18:48
can actually enter your field and even how much
18:51
it can enter your field and a great way to practice
18:54
this is with dowsing rods. Dowsing rods are a
18:59
great way where you can read the energy that's
19:04
coming into your field and you can know where
19:06
to block it. You can allow it to get so close
19:09
and you can learn where to block it. If you are
19:12
very sensitive and empathic and you know clearly
19:16
where your energy field is, you can also draw
19:20
a line, an invisible line around your energy
19:22
and be like, okay, this is my energy field. Nothing
19:25
is allowed to enter this Do you need to communicate
19:29
with me if you need to share with me? You can
19:31
do it on the other side of this line There's
19:33
no reason for this line to be crossed Kind of
19:36
like drawing a line in the sand. Yeah You have
19:40
to believe in what you're doing you have to believe
19:42
in what you're saying and also realizing that
19:47
when you being a spiritual worker And especially
19:52
if you're, you know, awakening, you're tapping
19:55
into your gifts and you're learning about them,
19:57
it's important to also clear your energy as well.
20:01
To clean it and reset your boundaries. And so
20:05
there's multiple, multiple ways you can do this.
20:08
You can do it with selenite. You can do it with
20:14
sage. You can do it with Palo Santos. You can
20:19
do it with tourmaline or hematite. I wear a Vogue
20:28
crystal that is specifically created to protect
20:34
my energy. And it's amazing how well this little
20:40
Star of David Vogue crystal works with that.
20:44
It's amazing. And I can definitely feel a difference.
20:48
Right? When I have this and then when I don't.
20:53
So just knowing that there's several opportunities
20:55
out there that are available to you to use and
20:59
just tapping into what suits best for you. But
21:02
the most important thing you do is honor your
21:04
own boundaries. Set them and honor them and make
21:08
other people honor them as well. Right? So we're
21:13
going to take a moment of reflection. And we're
21:17
going to sit back and we're going to relax. If
21:22
you're driving, I say let's do this at a later
21:25
time. But if you are not driving and you're in
21:31
a place where you can sit back and take a few
21:34
deep breaths in and exhale. Deep breath in. Exhale
21:44
and just relax, close your eyes and breathe.
21:51
Feeling a calm energy draping over you. As you
22:00
sit here in this peace and comfort, ask yourself,
22:07
where am I giving too much? giving too much?
22:22
Where am I carrying what isn't mine? Where am
22:29
I carrying what isn't mine? Where is my energy
22:39
leaking? Where is my energy leaking? Where is
22:53
my intuition asking for space for distance or
23:00
for clarity? Where is my intuition asking for
23:06
space for distance or for clarity? Allow these
23:16
answers to rise gently. You don't need to force
23:21
anything. Your inner wisdom already knows. But
23:29
whatever comes to you through this, whether it's
23:32
a knowing, a sensation, or visions, be sure that
23:40
you honor that. Be sure that you acknowledge
23:46
that and you take that with you so that you can
23:53
learn and that you can build those boundaries
23:57
that you need. Now open your eyes. So what I'd
24:08
say is anytime you need to go back and ask you
24:12
to listen to this again ask yourself these questions
24:15
to identify where you need work on your boundaries
24:19
and as you conquer through one step of your boundaries
24:23
you may find that you have another boundary issue
24:27
that comes up that you need to set that boundary
24:29
for none of this is just like a one time that's
24:34
it one time I'm done I'm good no this is a continual
24:37
practice continual learning Because there's always
24:40
going to be situations that come up where you
24:42
need to identify where you need work, where you
24:46
can improve, right? And boundaries is definitely
24:50
one of those because there's so many different
24:53
aspects of it that come into our daily lives,
24:57
right? So being sure you honor those and learning
25:01
to release the negative annotations from it and
25:06
honor what it truly is. So, boundaries are love
25:13
notes for yourself. They are reminders that your
25:17
energy is sacred, your peace is sacred, and your
25:21
presence is sacred. When you honor your boundaries,
25:25
you honor your soul. How amazing is that? You
25:29
honor your soul. So I want to thank you for joining
