- 2:22Speaker 3: share this out in your circle of influence. We have
- 2:26Speaker 3: yet another author, a part of the one hundred author movement.
- 2:30Speaker 3: She's one of the queens that's being highlighted for Women's
- 2:35Speaker 3: History Month. So I'm gonna move out the way, bring
- 2:37Speaker 3: her up and allow her the opportunity to share with
- 2:40Speaker 3: you guys. So if you would just share this out
- 2:43Speaker 3: in your circle while I bring You're not on the
- 2:48Speaker 3: screen yet, please welcome, Welcome, Welcome. You're alive now? Can
- 2:57Speaker 3: you not see yourself?
- 2:59Speaker 4: Yes, I can see I can see myself.
- 3:01Speaker 3: You're live now. You weren't live, but you're live. Now
- 3:04Speaker 3: you can introduce yourself.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Well, good evening everyone. First of all, I like to
- 3:08Speaker 5: apologize for this inconvenience interview. I was waiting for parking.
- 3:14Speaker 5: I did speak to Angela earlier. However, there's just a
- 3:18Speaker 5: lot of stuff going upstairs, so I have to do
- 3:20Speaker 5: my my interview in the car. But my name is
- 3:23Speaker 5: Charlotte Simon Ralson. I just want to give Angela a
- 3:28Speaker 5: shout out, you know, just for always thinking about me,
- 3:31Speaker 5: for pushing me even when I don't understand the process.
- 3:36Speaker 4: But it's it's, it's this has been a beautiful experience.
- 3:40Speaker 5: In reference to me doing the anthologies, the poetres the
- 3:47Speaker 5: column every month, and I'm just humbly grateful and in
- 3:53Speaker 5: me doing all this, I just want to give God
- 3:55Speaker 5: all the glory also just to give a testimony about
- 3:59Speaker 5: what He has brought up through and that this is
- 4:01Speaker 5: a great opportunity for me.
- 4:02Speaker 4: And I just want to say thank you again. And Adela.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Man, So if you would, just if you would just
- 4:15Speaker 3: tell us a little bit about you. You can tell
- 4:18Speaker 3: us about your author, Johnny, whatever you would like to share. Today.
- 4:22Speaker 3: We want individuals to get an opportunity to know who
- 4:25Speaker 3: Charlotte is.
- 4:26Speaker 5: Okay, well, Charlotte, let me just back it up a
- 4:30Speaker 5: little bit. I always knew that I had had the
- 4:33Speaker 5: gift to write. However, I always spoke or wrote like
- 4:38Speaker 5: how I spoke, and and you know, I kind of
- 4:41Speaker 5: got deterred. In reference to I would like to say,
- 4:46Speaker 5: my secondar job has always been management, and sometime I
- 4:50Speaker 5: will get so excited and I would definitely right the
- 4:52Speaker 5: way I speak. However, you know, fast forward to COVID,
- 4:58Speaker 5: I had an opportunity to work with some other women.
- 5:01Speaker 5: In reference to writing, I spoke about my process or yes,
- 5:09Speaker 5: my process when my mother had transitioned, and when my
- 5:12Speaker 5: mother had transitioned, just to share it was the most
- 5:16Speaker 5: devastating thing that I have ever experienced in my life.
- 5:20Speaker 5: You know, I always you know, I had people around
- 5:23Speaker 5: me that had lost their mother or their parents some
- 5:26Speaker 5: type of way, but I never knew that kind of
- 5:30Speaker 5: that type of hurt in my life. And in the
- 5:33Speaker 5: process of all this, I was given an opportunity to
- 5:36Speaker 5: write about it, but it was it was a lot
- 5:41Speaker 5: to deal with. Charlotte, is is a I think I'm
- 5:45Speaker 5: a fun person. I'm an honest person. If you ask
- 5:48Speaker 5: me something, I want to try to speak the truth,
- 5:50Speaker 5: what I hurd of your feelings. But I always get Charlotte,
- 5:54Speaker 5: you keep it real, and that's how I like to be.
- 5:56Speaker 5: I like to be honest with people. Sometimes I'm a
- 5:59Speaker 5: little too honest and some people don't know how to
- 6:02Speaker 5: take that. But at this point in my age, I'm
- 6:05Speaker 5: just trying to be honest. I don't care how you
- 6:06Speaker 5: take me as long as I give God the glory,
- 6:10Speaker 5: and that's just really it.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I have.
- 6:12Speaker 5: I have grown children, I have a teenage daughter, and
- 6:19Speaker 5: they keep me helping, helpless and as well as not helpless,
- 6:22Speaker 5: but they keep me focused and they help me to
- 6:24Speaker 5: grow into be honest as well as the people that
- 6:27Speaker 5: have surrounded me, from my church family to my friends,
- 6:30Speaker 5: and they keep me grounded.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Whereas I have to always be true to Charlotte.
- 6:35Speaker 5: And again, like I said, I really try not to
- 6:37Speaker 5: hurt people's feelings in the interim, but I try to
- 6:41Speaker 5: speak the truth.
- 6:42Speaker 4: And that's what I want others to do for me.
- 6:45Speaker 4: If I'm doing something wrong, call me out on it.
- 6:47Speaker 5: If you don't like the way I'm acting, or or
- 6:50Speaker 5: if I'm throwing some type of shade, be honest with
- 6:52Speaker 5: me and say, hey, Charlotte, I don't like what you're doing,
- 6:55Speaker 5: but this writing journey has been a beautiful process for me.
- 6:59Speaker 5: While I'm also able to heal, heal myself in reference
- 7:04Speaker 5: to you know, just to share a look, like I
- 7:06Speaker 5: just said, reference to my mother transitioning, I wanted to
- 7:10Speaker 5: take my own life, and to this day, I can
- 7:14Speaker 5: honestly say that I don't have any suicidal thoughts anymore.
- 7:18Speaker 5: I was able to transsition or trans transcribe that that
- 7:22Speaker 5: that pain into paper, and and I'm able to look
- 7:26Speaker 5: at it. And then I'm also able to give a
- 7:28Speaker 5: testimony and reference to just people, not only losing a parent,
- 7:33Speaker 5: but people I don't like to say losing, I like
- 7:36Speaker 5: to say the word transition, but even when a loved
- 7:39Speaker 5: one has transitioned, I've been, I've been actually give prayer,
- 7:43Speaker 5: comphany words, because when somebody transitioned, it it's a lot,
- 7:47Speaker 5: it's a it's a heavy process to go through it,
- 7:49Speaker 5: and and nobody knows the depth of it unless you
- 7:52Speaker 5: went through it yourself.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Right. Brief is something that us I tell you, we're
- 8:01Speaker 3: actually we're getting ready to launch a grief podcast on
- 8:06Speaker 3: the network this Sunday. Actually, we have quite a few.
- 8:11Speaker 3: I think we have five, five or six hosts that's
- 8:14Speaker 3: going to be a part of that particular show. But yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 3: grief is something that does not have a time limit
- 8:21Speaker 3: on it, and and it does not have an order
- 8:24Speaker 3: in which the way you will go. We know that
- 8:27Speaker 3: there's five stages of grief, but you never know which
- 8:31Speaker 3: stage you may stay in long. You never know which
- 8:33Speaker 3: stage you may get to first because and you never
- 8:36Speaker 3: know which stage you may repeat. Because I find myself
- 8:39Speaker 3: sometimes still with the shock, can't believe that you know,
- 8:45Speaker 3: my loved one is gone, you know that my loved
- 8:48Speaker 3: one is transitioned. You know, I found myself just the
- 8:51Speaker 3: other day having a conversation with my sister and just
- 8:55Speaker 3: out of the conversation, you know, we both we both
- 8:58Speaker 3: could not believe that my brother's not.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Here with us.
- 9:01Speaker 3: You know, we just and I don't know were we
- 9:04Speaker 3: just started that conversation. So it could come up anytime,
- 9:10Speaker 3: any anywhere. But just finding things. And I'm grateful because
- 9:14Speaker 3: even through this platform, through the one hundred author movement,
- 9:19Speaker 3: I've been able to see individuals that have been through
- 9:22Speaker 3: grief and the outlets that they have used to allow
- 9:27Speaker 3: that grief to come out We have a host here, Shannette.
- 9:31Speaker 3: She lost her son two years ago. Well it hadn't
- 9:33Speaker 3: been two years. She had it to be two years
- 9:35Speaker 3: this November, and she's had a hard time, but she
- 9:42Speaker 3: wants to you know, she don't. She she's never gonna forget.
- 9:46Speaker 3: She she wants to heal and she wants to help
- 9:48Speaker 3: others heal by sharing her journey and sharing how she
- 9:51Speaker 3: gets through it. You know, she had good days, she
- 9:53Speaker 3: had bad days. We all have good days, we all
- 9:55Speaker 3: have bad days. But just you know, just watching my
- 9:58Speaker 3: friend go through and then going through myself, and then
- 10:01Speaker 3: other people going through around me, you know, I was
- 10:04Speaker 3: just like, it's hitting a lot of us at the
- 10:06Speaker 3: same time, and it's hitting us different, you know, and
- 10:09Speaker 3: you know, some of us being able to be there
- 10:12Speaker 3: for the other ones in different ways. You know, sometimes shouldn't.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Just we would just be on the phone and she
- 10:18Speaker 3: would be talking, and sometimes I would be on the
- 10:21Speaker 3: phone and I would be the one on the talking,
- 10:23Speaker 3: and some days I just listen, you know. We we
- 10:28Speaker 3: just was there to try to help each other get
- 10:30Speaker 3: to a point to where we can get through today.
- 10:35Speaker 3: That's what it's about, getting through today, because we'll never
- 10:39Speaker 3: get over.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Losing.
- 10:42Speaker 3: You never get over losing anybody or anything, or you know,
- 10:46Speaker 3: once something has been a part of your life, you're
- 10:49Speaker 3: always gonna have that connection. You're always gonna have some
- 10:54Speaker 3: type of reference. It's just coping and getting through and
- 10:59Speaker 3: how you get through. That's so being a part of
- 11:02Speaker 3: a lot of these platforms, I would like to hear
- 11:07Speaker 3: what this journey has been like as far as getting
- 11:15Speaker 3: your books out there and just I guess finding your
- 11:20Speaker 3: niche and and and finding that audience and finding that
- 11:25Speaker 3: thing that works for you. What has that been like.
- 11:28Speaker 5: Well, you know, I want to say thank you again
- 11:30Speaker 5: just for the opportunity to do the one hundred authors,
- 11:34Speaker 5: because it's given me a chance to hone in on
- 11:37Speaker 5: my leadership skills. Now this, to be honest, this is
- 11:40Speaker 5: still new, but I think my my niches is just
- 11:44Speaker 5: to encourage you know, each other in the group. What
- 11:48Speaker 5: I have done recently I reach out to everyone in
- 11:51Speaker 5: the group and so far, you know, it's like I
- 11:54Speaker 5: was listening to Keisha's interview this morning, and it's like,
- 11:57Speaker 5: you know, we're here. We're here to help each other
- 12:00Speaker 5: grow and and to encourage each other, not only as
- 12:04Speaker 5: part of you know, being an author, but just being
- 12:06Speaker 5: human beings, and if I can just also be honest
- 12:09Speaker 5: to being black and brown people, especially in this climate
- 12:12Speaker 5: that we are living in. And you know, I find out,
- 12:15Speaker 5: you know, my when I write, I'm just so humbly
- 12:19Speaker 5: grateful because I'm able to touch women in general, black
- 12:23Speaker 5: and brown women in general. I even have some friends,
- 12:26Speaker 5: you know, that are not of black and brown persuasion,
- 12:30Speaker 5: but they're able to give me some type of feedback.
- 12:32Speaker 5: And so when I'm when I write my niches for women,
- 12:37Speaker 5: I like to include men because one day I do
- 12:39Speaker 5: want to hone in on the men before. Right now,
- 12:41Speaker 5: my gift is for women, whether it's just you know,
- 12:45Speaker 5: just to share it to you, I have really not
- 12:47Speaker 5: had said this openly. I also suffer from stuttering, and
- 12:51Speaker 5: what I try to do is I think before I speak.
- 12:55Speaker 5: I get excited and sometimes you know, I'm trying to
- 12:57Speaker 5: get all my words out. But I learned to peace
- 13:00Speaker 5: of my still for a minute, calm down, to get
- 13:03Speaker 5: my thoughts out. And that's how I'm able to speak
- 13:06Speaker 5: publicly sometimes because sometime I get excited, I'm just going
- 13:09Speaker 5: I'm a ramble on and on. But I learned how
- 13:12Speaker 5: to control my stuttering where it's not so noticeable. And
- 13:15Speaker 5: when I tell people I have a stutering problem, they said, no,
- 13:18Speaker 5: I don't believe.
- 13:19Speaker 4: You, but I do.
- 13:20Speaker 5: And it's like I'm able to control it when when necessary,
- 13:24Speaker 5: and able to control myself when I have when I
- 13:28Speaker 5: have all these thoughts running through my mind.
- 13:31Speaker 4: If that makes sense, Sorry, well it.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Makes plenty good sense because I also stutter when I
- 13:37Speaker 3: get excited. I'm sure, yeah, I'm sure your child have
- 13:41Speaker 3: caught it a couple of times on the podcast, because
- 13:44Speaker 3: I have caught it. So it is there. It happens.
- 13:49Speaker 3: It is something that just recently started happening. It is
- 13:53Speaker 3: not something that I've always done, because I had a
- 13:56Speaker 3: problem of doing that.
- 13:59Speaker 4: That was a problem.
- 14:01Speaker 3: And how I gained that problem. It was in elementary school.
- 14:05Speaker 3: We had to read out loud in school and my
- 14:08Speaker 3: teacher said I was reading too fast, and she told
- 14:11Speaker 3: me that I needed to slow down. So I got
- 14:14Speaker 3: an attitude like normal kids do, and when I got
- 14:18Speaker 3: to the end of every sentence, I huh, did that?
- 14:23Speaker 3: And I developed a very bad habit because I started
- 14:28Speaker 3: doing it all the time, and it became a bad habit.
- 14:31Speaker 3: And it's something that I had to deal with when
- 14:33Speaker 3: I got in college, when I started taking public speaking classes,
- 14:37Speaker 3: I had to deal with that. But yeah, I've had that,
- 14:43Speaker 3: So don't feel bad. It's something we all have, something
- 14:48Speaker 3: that we deal with that none of us are perfect.
- 14:51Speaker 3: There is something that we all have to work on
- 14:55Speaker 3: every day to I mean it is we just every
- 14:59Speaker 3: day we I have something to work on that we
- 15:01Speaker 3: are not fluent in. I guess that I would say
- 15:06Speaker 3: an area that we may be weaker in than stronger in,
- 15:11Speaker 3: and that we have to focus on. Right, that is
- 15:14Speaker 3: one of the areas that I have to focus on,
- 15:16Speaker 3: like making sure that I get this work done. I
- 15:20Speaker 3: don't have to worry about that because I don't get
- 15:22Speaker 3: that done if I have to say it, but making
- 15:24Speaker 3: sure that you know I am poised, and sometimes you know,
- 15:29Speaker 3: I have to write notes down so that I can
- 15:32Speaker 3: keep my thoughts together so I don't be all over
- 15:35Speaker 3: the place because we're all over the place. Sometimes your
- 15:37Speaker 3: mind is trying to keep up. And when your mind
- 15:41Speaker 3: is all over the place, then it don't it don't focus.
- 15:46Speaker 3: It's like you be out of focus and things don't
- 15:50Speaker 3: go right all right. And that's when I started a
- 15:53Speaker 3: lot and.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I have to so, oh, Charlotte, you know, calm yourself down.
- 15:57Speaker 4: And I say that out loud. You know, people don't
- 15:59Speaker 4: look at me and it type.
- 16:00Speaker 5: Of way because I feel myself getting excited, and I said, okay,
- 16:04Speaker 5: you know, while Missensus, somebody could be talking.
- 16:06Speaker 4: I said, okay, Charlotte, calm down, and I get my
- 16:09Speaker 4: words out.
- 16:09Speaker 5: And it's like, you know, like stuttering is not something
- 16:12Speaker 5: that you know, I'm I'm not ashamed at this point
- 16:15Speaker 5: in my age because it's it's it's unfortunately is a
- 16:20Speaker 5: part of my a part of me. And you have
- 16:23Speaker 5: great speakers out there. I'm just gonna say, Moses used
- 16:25Speaker 5: to stutter, and look at him. He let people out
- 16:28Speaker 5: of Egypt, you know. So my thing is, you know,
- 16:31Speaker 5: President Biden, he was he used to study you know,
- 16:34Speaker 5: great people. Yes, yes, you know, it's just a it's
- 16:38Speaker 5: something that you know, we could we could home, you know,
- 16:42Speaker 5: if we think before we speak, you know, it could
- 16:45Speaker 5: it could be smooth.
- 16:45Speaker 4: And sometimes it's funny.
- 16:47Speaker 2: You know.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Another family member of mine had a studying problem and
- 16:51Speaker 5: he is a great speaker. When I hear him speak,
- 16:54Speaker 5: I'm like, oh my god. So I'm not ashamed of it,
- 16:57Speaker 5: like I used to be when I was little. You know,
- 16:59Speaker 5: kids to be mean and that's another story. But hey,
- 17:03Speaker 5: I'm here now and I'm able to speak to you
- 17:05Speaker 5: live without any stuttering.
- 17:10Speaker 4: That was corny. I don't care.
- 17:11Speaker 3: And yeah, it's it's just all about focus. When we
- 17:14Speaker 3: focus on those things, were able to do it and
- 17:17Speaker 3: you know, just having that that that that mindset to say, well,
- 17:20Speaker 3: I'm gonna focus on this and being being grounded. So
- 17:26Speaker 3: what are some things that as a group leader, because
- 17:29Speaker 3: you are a group leader with the one hundred the movement,
- 17:31Speaker 3: what are some things that you would like to possibly
- 17:36Speaker 3: implement or bring to the movement that you would like
- 17:41Speaker 3: to leave with the movement?
- 17:43Speaker 4: What I would like to leave, I don't you know,
- 17:46Speaker 4: not to you know good. I want honesty.
- 17:49Speaker 5: I want us to be a group, you know, because
- 17:52Speaker 5: our group is name Real Encounters, and I want and
- 17:54Speaker 5: I saw I was speaking to one of the ladies
- 17:57Speaker 5: on Saturday.
- 17:58Speaker 4: You know that that that has a lot of depth
- 18:01Speaker 4: to it. You know. When we tell our story, we're able.
- 18:04Speaker 5: And I don't want to, you know, not to shade
- 18:05Speaker 5: any other group, but we are tell them our real encounters,
- 18:09Speaker 5: our life stories. And that's what I want us to
- 18:11Speaker 5: be known as you know, people that are able to
- 18:14Speaker 5: speak the truth, to tell the truth you know, about
- 18:17Speaker 5: what we have been through. And in the process of
- 18:20Speaker 5: well this, we're able to help somebody else. And that's
- 18:24Speaker 5: what I want our group to be known as. You know,
- 18:27Speaker 5: that's I want that to be a part of our
- 18:29Speaker 5: legacy is real life stories and and this helped other
- 18:32Speaker 5: people to grow from it, whether you know, you know,
- 18:36Speaker 5: whether it's from someone transitioning, whether it's from somebody sexual assault, suicide, stuttering,
- 18:43Speaker 5: whatever it is. I want us to be able to
- 18:45Speaker 5: speak the truth about it and and and so far
- 18:49Speaker 5: the group is pretty good. Like I said, I got
- 18:51Speaker 5: a chance to speak to some of the people over
- 18:54Speaker 5: the phone on Saturday. I also want to start having
- 18:58Speaker 5: monthly meetings becas zoom or via zoom. And I want
- 19:02Speaker 5: us to also want to try to come together as
- 19:05Speaker 5: a group. I know some people live in different states,
- 19:08Speaker 5: but I want us to try to meet midway and
- 19:10Speaker 5: just to you know, have some type of camaraderie together,
- 19:14Speaker 5: just as well to be able to have real life
- 19:16Speaker 5: encounters with each other and for actually for other people
- 19:19Speaker 5: as well.
- 19:20Speaker 4: And you put us all together, well, God, you as
- 19:24Speaker 4: a vessel draw.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Up, and that was the whole purpose, you know, the
- 19:29Speaker 3: whole purpose of you know me, even bringing everybody together.
- 19:33Speaker 3: You know, I feel like it's forty four authors even
- 19:37Speaker 3: though we haven't achieved a one hundred yet, there's forty
- 19:40Speaker 3: four authors inside of this group, including myself. That makes
- 19:44Speaker 3: it forty four. But there's forty four authors. There's no
- 19:46Speaker 3: reason why we shouldn't be having live events, virtual events.
- 19:51Speaker 4: We should be done doing.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Something every month, Like people should know who the one
- 19:57Speaker 3: hundred author movement is. They should know if one person
- 20:00Speaker 3: say something, they should know who all the forty three
- 20:03Speaker 3: who the other forty three authors is a part of
- 20:05Speaker 3: that movement. That should be no reason why we are
- 20:09Speaker 3: being so quiet. You know, I see some people inside
- 20:12Speaker 3: of the chat. They never respond, they never share anything,
- 20:16Speaker 3: They never share anything about their selves yet alone share anything.
- 20:20Speaker 3: So it just it's just now it's gonna come to,
- 20:25Speaker 3: you know, individuals wanting to see themselves grow and wanting
- 20:31Speaker 3: to see their brands grow. You know, I'm gonna continue
- 20:34Speaker 3: to provide the resources inside of the group, but I'm
- 20:38Speaker 3: gonna start pulling on those that I see that are
- 20:41Speaker 3: really wanting to those that want to get out here
- 20:44Speaker 3: and really promote their brands and really get out here
- 20:46Speaker 3: and do stuff Like we're trying to set up different
- 20:50Speaker 3: stops at Barns and Nobles where we can actually do
- 20:54Speaker 3: a book tour and go to different Barns and Nobles
- 20:58Speaker 3: and set up and you know, we can talk about
- 21:02Speaker 3: our books, have a little you know, different little stuff
- 21:05Speaker 3: like we do with a LAC the Chase of your
- 21:07Speaker 3: Dream Book Tour that is about educating, empowering and encouraging
- 21:12Speaker 3: and bringing authors and business owners together. We have workshops,
- 21:15Speaker 3: We provide workshops. We have keynote speakers. We have individuals
- 21:19Speaker 3: that come in that can talk to you about your brand,
- 21:21Speaker 3: about your about marketing, about visibility, about anything from A
- 21:27Speaker 3: to Z concerning being an author in a creative in
- 21:31Speaker 3: this environment in this world today. We even have individuals
- 21:35Speaker 3: that talk on podcasts and anything you can think of.
- 21:38Speaker 3: We have individuals that come in and talk about that
- 21:41Speaker 3: we what we have inside of this group, Like we
- 21:45Speaker 3: have so much talent inside of this group. And people
- 21:47Speaker 3: just realize the individuals that they had around them, Yes,
- 21:52Speaker 3: like if they just realized, like when God dropped this
- 21:55Speaker 3: in my spirit, it was four seeds connect, collaborate create
- 22:01Speaker 3: your community.
- 22:02Speaker 4: I say, that's true.
- 22:04Speaker 3: And collaboration. These are things that we should be doing anyway.
- 22:10Speaker 5: Yes, you're right, and sometimes you know, you know, I
- 22:13Speaker 5: will take responsibility sometimes I'm just gonna be honest. Sometime
- 22:17Speaker 5: I get in my moments where you know, you know,
- 22:20Speaker 5: I said, I'm not gonna do it tonight because you know,
- 22:22Speaker 5: life happens, but you have afforded us the opportunity to
- 22:25Speaker 5: do so. And you know what I put in the
- 22:27Speaker 5: group chat today, what are my I shouldn't say it,
- 22:31Speaker 5: but I'm gonna say it. One of my peeves is, Okay,
- 22:33Speaker 5: we all have life experience. You know, we all are
- 22:36Speaker 5: dealing with stuff, going to work, YadA, yah, YadA. But
- 22:38Speaker 5: what do you when I'm speaking for me as a
- 22:42Speaker 5: group leader, when I give you know, give a shout
- 22:44Speaker 5: out of you encouragement, just respond, you know that's it.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Keep it moving, That's my little peep. Because even you,
- 22:51Speaker 5: I know you do a lot because you and I
- 22:53Speaker 5: have conversation on the side. So when you when you
- 22:56Speaker 5: say something, I might not respond right away, but ninety
- 23:00Speaker 5: five percent of the time I'll respond to you by
- 23:02Speaker 5: the end of the day or the end of night.
- 23:04Speaker 5: And that's what I want to do with the groups.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Also when my particular group, you know, we have to
- 23:09Speaker 5: encourage each other. I saw another author in the group.
- 23:12Speaker 5: She she did a shout out of recouragement to all
- 23:15Speaker 5: of us, and that's what we need. Life is hard,
- 23:19Speaker 5: and you know, and we're trying to put our brand
- 23:21Speaker 5: out there and you know it is hard. It's hard
- 23:24Speaker 5: to work, go to school, be human in general. So
- 23:28Speaker 5: encouragement goes a long way. And that's what you know,
- 23:30Speaker 5: Like I said, that's that's what I want our group
- 23:32Speaker 5: to be, my group to be to encourage one another
- 23:35Speaker 5: and then maybe other groups will follow after because you.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Are putting in a lot of time and I commend that.
- 23:41Speaker 5: So I try to be obedient in reference to that
- 23:44Speaker 5: what you do when you give, when you say something,
- 23:47Speaker 5: I try to respond back.
- 23:48Speaker 4: And if it's something that I don't know, you know,
- 23:51Speaker 4: I text you on the side or call you.
- 23:53Speaker 3: And I have this thing because my apostle apostle doctor Kimberly.
- 23:59Speaker 3: She she out was when she first came to our
- 24:01Speaker 3: preg we do a preggrou at five am every morning. See,
- 24:04Speaker 3: people don't understand what I go through every day. That
- 24:07Speaker 3: it's not an easy day. Now, it's not an easy task. Now,
- 24:09Speaker 3: I'm telling you, I'm up at four. I'm up every
- 24:11Speaker 3: day around four four thirty, and I don't lay down
- 24:19Speaker 3: until about sometime eleven thirty twelve, sometime one o'clock. So
- 24:26Speaker 3: you do the math. But we know that there's twenty
- 24:28Speaker 3: four hours in a day. I say this, and I
- 24:30Speaker 3: say this to everybody, and I care not who get mad,
- 24:34Speaker 3: because it is the truth.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Yes, and it is.
- 24:39Speaker 3: We will put in time where we want to put
- 24:42Speaker 3: in time. We will do what we want to do
- 24:46Speaker 3: when we want to do. We make time for what
- 24:48Speaker 3: it's important to us, yes, even right. Nevertheless, we make
- 24:53Speaker 3: time for what's important to us. So a lot of
- 24:57Speaker 3: people really show me what's important to them. You know,
- 25:01Speaker 3: we have twenty four hours in a day. A lot
- 25:04Speaker 3: of us. I understand you work a nine to five.
- 25:08Speaker 3: I understand that. I don't know what y'all think I
- 25:10Speaker 3: do over here, but I know we work, some of
- 25:14Speaker 3: us working nine to five. So then we know that's
- 25:17Speaker 3: eight hours. We go to work eight hours, and then
- 25:20Speaker 3: most of us say we want to get our eight
- 25:22Speaker 3: hours of sleep. We got to be in bed by
- 25:23Speaker 3: a certain time so we can get our eight hours.
- 25:26Speaker 3: I don't because it don't take all that it. Do
- 25:29Speaker 3: it take your phone eight hours of charge? Well, do
- 25:33Speaker 3: it take your phone eight hours of charge? No, it don't.
- 25:35Speaker 3: But when your phone sometime it may take it thirty minutes.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Sometime it may take an hour. Sometime it may take
- 25:40Speaker 3: two hours. It depending on how dead it is. Huh,
- 25:44Speaker 3: So it don't take all of that. Yes, nowhere do
- 25:47Speaker 3: it take all of that? I ain't never seen in
- 25:51Speaker 3: the Bible do it talk about it? Do it talk
- 25:53Speaker 3: about how long we supposed to sleep? I ain't never
- 25:55Speaker 3: seen nowhere in the Bible we talk about no time
- 25:57Speaker 3: for sleep? I never saw it. I ain't never seen
- 26:00Speaker 3: where it say eight hours to sleep, it's good for
- 26:03Speaker 3: your body, know where? That ain't a part of the regiment.
- 26:07Speaker 3: But anyhow, we made eight hours for that. We made
- 26:10Speaker 3: eight hours for work, so we that's sixteen hours. So
- 26:13Speaker 3: I asked this question, and I ask this for everybody.
- 26:16Speaker 3: What are you doing with those other eight hours?
- 26:19Speaker 4: That's true?
- 26:20Speaker 3: True, because it is twenty four hours and today, let
- 26:23Speaker 3: them let them tear it. It's twenty four hours and today.
- 26:26Speaker 3: So if there's twenty four hours in today and you're
- 26:29Speaker 3: spenting eight on your job and you're spending it on
- 26:32Speaker 3: your sleeping. Then what are you doing then with the
- 26:35Speaker 3: other eight hours? Tell me what are you doing with
- 26:39Speaker 3: the other eight hours? Are you mapping out those other
- 26:42Speaker 3: eight hours? Are you being intentional about those other eight hours?
- 26:47Speaker 3: Because he gave you a plan? And another thing, Another
- 26:52Speaker 3: thing I want to ask, So when you lay down
- 26:55Speaker 3: and go to sleep at night, do you go to
- 26:56Speaker 3: sleep intentionally or you just go to sleep? Do you
- 27:01Speaker 3: intentionally go to sleep or do you just go to sleep?
- 27:06Speaker 3: Because see, people don't understand that that you don't just
- 27:09Speaker 3: go to sleep. See people think you go to sleep
- 27:11Speaker 3: the rest babad, But baby, bab bab bad bad bad,
- 27:15Speaker 3: that's not what you go to sleep for. That is
- 27:18Speaker 3: not what you go to sleep for. I mean, I
- 27:21Speaker 3: got to I got to school. Some people that don't know.
- 27:23Speaker 3: So when you go to sleep, you're not going to
- 27:25Speaker 3: sleep the rest. Yeah, yeah, you're going to sleep. When
- 27:30Speaker 3: when when when your physical body, When your physical body
- 27:33Speaker 3: is sleep, your spiritual body is very much awake to
- 27:36Speaker 3: see your spiritual body. The spiritual body is he ain't
- 27:40Speaker 3: gonna say they sleep while you woke, But your spiritual
- 27:44Speaker 3: body is letting your physical body do its thing during
- 27:47Speaker 3: the daytime, so it ain't so much awake. So while
- 27:50Speaker 3: we're walking around here thinking we woke, ah, we ain't
- 27:54Speaker 3: really woke. We really sleep. We really sleep because we're
- 27:58Speaker 3: walking in the flesh. But when you going to sleep
- 28:00Speaker 3: at night, Yes, when you go to sleep at night
- 28:04Speaker 3: and you tap into that that realm. And that's when
- 28:08Speaker 3: he started downloading those things. And I want to tell y'all,
- 28:12Speaker 3: so now that you know, so now you know, when
- 28:15Speaker 3: you know, you do better. So they say, when you
- 28:18Speaker 3: now that you know, you do better. So now that
- 28:20Speaker 3: you know that when you go to sleep, that you're
- 28:21Speaker 3: supposed to go to sleep intentional. Why do you think
- 28:23Speaker 3: a lot of people meditate before they go to sleep.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Why do you think a lot of people pray before
- 28:28Speaker 3: they go to sleep? Why do you think a lot
- 28:31Speaker 3: of people really concentrate on things before they go to sleep,
- 28:36Speaker 3: Like people try to clear out all of this from
- 28:39Speaker 3: the day and all of that stuff so that they
- 28:42Speaker 3: can really be in tune with the spirit when they
- 28:47Speaker 3: go to sleep at night. Let me ask you another
- 28:49Speaker 3: question so people can really understand what I'm saying. So,
- 28:53Speaker 3: have you ever been sleep and you you you you
- 28:59Speaker 3: try to wake up and it seemed like you can't
- 29:01Speaker 3: wake up. It's like you you just can't wake up
- 29:04Speaker 3: to save your life, It's like you just can't get Yeah,
- 29:08Speaker 3: you know why do you know why? I'm gonna tell
- 29:15Speaker 3: you why. Because your yo, your physical baby, your physical
- 29:20Speaker 3: body baby, he ready to get up, but your spiritual
- 29:23Speaker 3: man ain't made it back yet. Your spiritual man still
- 29:25Speaker 3: like they're running around doing whatever he's supposed to be
- 29:28Speaker 3: doing whatever he doing while we sleep. See them dreams
- 29:32Speaker 3: and them visions that you haven't you know how you
- 29:35Speaker 3: think you you don't seen something before, and you like
- 29:37Speaker 3: you having days, Jah blue baby, it ain't days, y'all.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Vill You actually experienced that. You actually went through it
- 29:43Speaker 3: in a dream. That's how when some people say they
- 29:45Speaker 3: go places and they feel like they don't been there before,
- 29:48Speaker 3: you have that in the spirit. You were there in
- 29:52Speaker 3: the spirit. See most of the time, you visit all
- 29:55Speaker 3: of those places before you go there. A lot of
- 29:58Speaker 3: people you don't understand this that you're walking into now,
- 30:02Speaker 3: this this you probably already been here before this, this conversation.
- 30:06Speaker 3: You've probably been in the middle of this conversation before exactly.
- 30:10Speaker 4: And didn't know.
- 30:11Speaker 3: He probably gave it to you, but you probably didn't
- 30:13Speaker 3: know who it was gonna be with. But you probably
- 30:16Speaker 3: don't sit there and had some of this stuff running
- 30:19Speaker 3: through your mind, but you just didn't know who the
- 30:21Speaker 3: person was gonna be. You didn't know what was gonna
- 30:23Speaker 3: be me what you knew that the conversation was gonna happen.
- 30:27Speaker 4: That's right.
- 30:28Speaker 5: I have dreams like like you said before where and
- 30:30Speaker 5: like you said, it's not dej'all bou, And sometimes you know,
- 30:34Speaker 5: it happens more frequent, but I know, like you said, yeah,
- 30:37Speaker 5: my my spirit has already been there.
- 30:39Speaker 4: It's this my soul trying to catch up. So I
- 30:42Speaker 4: do agree with you in reference to that.
- 30:45Speaker 5: So you know, we are just playing a role, and
- 30:48Speaker 5: you know, and you know, sometimes like you said, when
- 30:50Speaker 5: we dream stuff that we've been here before, it's just
- 30:53Speaker 5: also trying to catch up.
- 30:54Speaker 4: And that's how I feel. It's not I don't believe
- 30:56Speaker 4: in dej'all boo.
- 30:58Speaker 5: I can tell you some dreams that I had and
- 31:01Speaker 5: I've seen it come to pass now and it's like
- 31:04Speaker 5: and I'm trying to like, did this really happen or
- 31:06Speaker 5: you know, what happened? I've been here before, but like
- 31:09Speaker 5: it's just my soul trying to catch up. And that's
- 31:12Speaker 5: an I do a career, Trea. In reference to that, I'll.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Tell you we we it be a lot going on.
- 31:19Speaker 3: It be a lot going on. It be a lot
- 31:21Speaker 3: going on. Well, Minister Alma, thank you for posting and
- 31:26Speaker 3: letting us know that you are home. Minister Alba is
- 31:29Speaker 3: one of the hosts over here on the Crew podcast.
- 31:33Speaker 3: She has been she has been in the hospital. She's
- 31:36Speaker 3: also from New York. She said she lives in New York.
- 31:40Speaker 3: She lives out in Amityville. Yeah, just wanted to give
- 31:45Speaker 3: her a shout out because she had tuned in. She
- 31:47Speaker 3: had tuned in and said hello, So I wanted to give.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Her and you want us tune it in.
- 31:52Speaker 3: So what do you have in store for twenty twenty
- 31:58Speaker 3: five on a personal level as far as your your brand?
- 32:04Speaker 5: Okay, on a well, on a personal level, not part
- 32:08Speaker 5: of the brand, but on a personal level. I'm in
- 32:12Speaker 5: Bible College. And also, hopefully I'll say it correctly, I
- 32:15Speaker 5: hope my bishop is not watching. I'm in a ministerial
- 32:20Speaker 5: Catechism class, and so that is going to because even
- 32:25Speaker 5: though I'm a minister, I have not been licensed yet.
- 32:29Speaker 5: So now we're in the process, like doing the trenches
- 32:32Speaker 5: of actually being trained as a minister. So that is
- 32:37Speaker 5: we do that, well it's myself and the other ladies
- 32:40Speaker 5: that are doing that. Maybe I think I don't want
- 32:42Speaker 5: to lie. I think every first and fourth Sun Saturdays.
- 32:47Speaker 5: So that's sighting coming up. Then as far as my brand,
- 32:52Speaker 5: I'm working on a on a on a book called
- 32:55Speaker 5: Roses for Betty. Now that has been a long process
- 32:59Speaker 5: for me personally because kind of it's emotional and you know,
- 33:03Speaker 5: sometimes my mood swings changes because like I said, I
- 33:07Speaker 5: don't want to keep on going on Harper on that,
- 33:09Speaker 5: but like it speaks about my mother's life as well
- 33:12Speaker 5: as my life as mother and daughter. My mother was
- 33:16Speaker 5: you know, she was a god funeral woman, but she helped.
- 33:20Speaker 5: She said how it was, and I think that's how
- 33:23Speaker 5: I got.
- 33:24Speaker 4: My I'm from.
- 33:26Speaker 5: And and and you know, she she she was, she
- 33:29Speaker 5: she she does, loved life she had and also in
- 33:32Speaker 5: reference to music, she had us listened to all types
- 33:35Speaker 5: of music, exposed to all types of music. So the
- 33:38Speaker 5: book is going to be based on her life as
- 33:40Speaker 5: well as my life a mother daughter relationship. As we
- 33:43Speaker 5: all know, sometimes it's not you know, peaches and cream
- 33:47Speaker 5: and and it's gonna be some real stuff in there,
- 33:50Speaker 5: and I'm just grateful for that to come out because
- 33:52Speaker 5: I think it will help, you know, my daughters also
- 33:56Speaker 5: to you know, because I have a friendship with my daughters,
- 34:00Speaker 5: but they also know that I'm the mother first, and
- 34:03Speaker 5: that's how my relationship was my mother. I was able
- 34:05Speaker 5: to speak to her about everything and anything, but realizing
- 34:09Speaker 5: that she was my mother first.
- 34:11Speaker 4: So that's that's the that's gonna be the premises of
- 34:13Speaker 4: the book.
- 34:14Speaker 5: And as far as the one hundred hundred authors, I
- 34:19Speaker 5: definitely want to meet everybody in person.
- 34:22Speaker 4: One day.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Hopefully it's gonna report the year and hopefully kind of
- 34:27Speaker 5: wink up with everybody hopefully, but.
- 34:30Speaker 3: I definitely will challenge you to to get together with
- 34:34Speaker 3: the other authors that are in New York and hopefully
- 34:38Speaker 3: you guys can put together an event that will allow
- 34:42Speaker 3: everybody to be able to come. I would definitely get
- 34:45Speaker 3: with you guys and we can all coordinate an event.
- 34:49Speaker 3: That is what I am hoping a lot of us
- 34:51Speaker 3: will do to bring an event to their area. I
- 34:54Speaker 3: know we're doing that here in Atlanta, and then we're
- 34:57Speaker 3: gonna be doing it in South Carolina and we're gonna
- 35:00Speaker 3: be doing it out in California, so it's gonna be
- 35:02Speaker 3: opportunity for you guys to come out to California. Sanett
- 35:06Speaker 3: is going to be hosting an event out in California.
- 35:08Speaker 3: We're trying to do it in June. She's gonna be
- 35:10Speaker 3: doing a book release in June, and we're gonna extend
- 35:13Speaker 3: it to invite those that would like to come out
- 35:17Speaker 3: and be a part of it. Also, we're gonna be
- 35:21Speaker 3: doing a little more with I think we're gonna be
- 35:25Speaker 3: doing an event in Florida. Apostle Kimberly wants to do
- 35:28Speaker 3: an event, So we're gonna definitely be doing some events.
- 35:31Speaker 3: So there's gonna be opportunities for individuals to connect to
- 35:34Speaker 3: do events. But we definitely want those group leaders to
- 35:38Speaker 3: be thinking about hosting events in their area and bringing
- 35:43Speaker 3: those authors that are in their area together. You know,
- 35:46Speaker 3: I'm gonna be there. I'm showing up at every everyone
- 35:51Speaker 3: everybody that will host one, I will be there. And
- 35:55Speaker 3: those group leaders that will travel, I know some of them,
- 35:59Speaker 3: we'll be there. Like Charita, she she she'll be there
- 36:04Speaker 3: at some of them, the ones that she can be
- 36:06Speaker 3: yet and those that she can't get off work. She
- 36:09Speaker 3: she loves to travel. Those that love to travel, I
- 36:12Speaker 3: want them to get out here and be a part
- 36:13Speaker 3: of this. We have podcasters that can come, we can
- 36:16Speaker 3: do interviews, we can do the whole yard, and then
- 36:19Speaker 3: we can arrange for individuals to come out and set
- 36:22Speaker 3: up workshops because I always I want people to walk
- 36:25Speaker 3: away with three things. Anytime they come in my friends,
- 36:28Speaker 3: I want them to walk away with the three e's.
- 36:30Speaker 3: I want them to feel like they've experienced the ultimate
- 36:33Speaker 3: E three experience. I want them to feel educated, in
- 36:36Speaker 3: power and encouraged so that that that is exactly how
- 36:41Speaker 3: I want individuals to walk away from a AA L
- 36:44Speaker 3: A C. Chasing your dream bout tory event. Y'all. I've
- 36:48Speaker 3: been doing this since twenty sixteen. When God dropped this
- 36:50Speaker 3: in my spirit. You know, I was it was a mandate.
- 36:54Speaker 3: It was not something that I could just put down
- 36:57Speaker 3: and pick up and put down and pick up. I
- 36:58Speaker 3: have not I'm not step back. I've not stopped. You know,
- 37:02Speaker 3: people have walked away, people came, people come and go
- 37:05Speaker 3: and they walk away. But I God would not allow
- 37:08Speaker 3: me to lay it down when when I said I
- 37:11Speaker 3: would be a voice, and that I would be an outlet.
- 37:15Speaker 3: I just wanted to be used. If he raised me
- 37:18Speaker 3: up off my bed of affliction, I will share his goodness.
- 37:21Speaker 3: And this is how he gave me an outlet to
- 37:24Speaker 3: share his goodness. So in order for me to be
- 37:27Speaker 3: able to share his goodness, I have to allow and
- 37:30Speaker 3: be an outlet so that other people can do it too. See,
- 37:33Speaker 3: somebody spoke Queen of Collaborations over my life. It wasn't
- 37:36Speaker 3: something that I started. Somebody spoke that thing over my
- 37:39Speaker 3: life and people started calling me that. People started calling
- 37:42Speaker 3: me that, so I began to walk into it, and
- 37:45Speaker 3: then it just became a thing, and people just began
- 37:47Speaker 3: to call They stopped calling me Queen of Collaboration and
- 37:51Speaker 3: just started calling me queen. So it wasn't just like
- 37:54Speaker 3: something that. No, I don't think I'm a queen, and
- 37:57Speaker 3: I really don't even know they don't even know the
- 38:00Speaker 3: definition of a queen. I just know that there's just
- 38:03Speaker 3: something that, you know, everybody just started calling me, and
- 38:07Speaker 3: I just said, well, it must be something good, so
- 38:10Speaker 3: let me walk into it. So I just walked into it,
- 38:14Speaker 3: you know.
- 38:15Speaker 5: And I just believe in being obedient, yes, and it
- 38:18Speaker 5: fits you, and this is you know, lasting or personal thing.
- 38:22Speaker 5: I'm turning sixty, That's why I said, I'm pushing it
- 38:25Speaker 5: over to hopefully July or August. But I'm turning sixty
- 38:28Speaker 5: in June. My daughter is graduating in high school, and
- 38:33Speaker 5: so there's a lot of stuff coming up. So that's
- 38:35Speaker 5: why I didn't say anything about June. But hopefully July
- 38:39Speaker 5: or August. That's what I want to try to, you know,
- 38:41Speaker 5: try to just have some type of fellowship together.
- 38:44Speaker 4: And you know, I have a couple of areas that
- 38:48Speaker 4: I'm gonna try to call.
- 38:49Speaker 5: And it's funny that you said that, but I don't
- 38:51Speaker 5: want to say anything yet until I reach out to
- 38:53Speaker 5: certain hotels.
- 38:54Speaker 4: But yes, you are definitely invited and I want to.
- 38:58Speaker 5: I see Keisha's on the line, and what definitely use
- 39:01Speaker 5: all the authors that are in New York.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Another person, Well, there are six and I've called all
- 39:07Speaker 3: of them out. I've given you the names so you
- 39:11Speaker 3: can connect with all six of them, even though they're
- 39:14Speaker 3: in different groups.
- 39:15Speaker 5: You know.
- 39:15Speaker 3: That's why I posted inside of the chat today. You know,
- 39:19Speaker 3: even though you may be in a different group if
- 39:21Speaker 3: you're from a city. That's why I was asking what
- 39:23Speaker 3: state everybody was from, so that you can connect with
- 39:26Speaker 3: the person that's in your state, because there's no reason why.
- 39:30Speaker 3: And I'm gonna keep saying that there's no reason why
- 39:32Speaker 3: we have forty three authors attached to this movement that
- 39:36Speaker 3: we should not be doing something, even if we have
- 39:38Speaker 3: to do it virtually, even the ones that are not
- 39:41Speaker 3: doing nothing, it's enough of us that are doing something
- 39:45Speaker 3: that we need to be out here allowing people to
- 39:48Speaker 3: see who we are. You know, there's opportunities. I can't
- 39:54Speaker 3: do everything, but there are a lot of places, like
- 39:56Speaker 3: there are bookstores, there are black owned bookstores. There the
- 40:00Speaker 3: own places that will allow you to come in and
- 40:03Speaker 3: have these different events, you know, the local libraries. You know,
- 40:08Speaker 3: if you go and sit down and talk to people
- 40:10Speaker 3: like it's all about being a relationship. That's how I
- 40:12Speaker 3: tell people. We can't be so focused on selling books
- 40:15Speaker 3: and pushing books and pushing up. We got to build relationships.
- 40:18Speaker 3: We got to have relationships with people so that you know,
- 40:21Speaker 3: I can go up to some people. I had a
- 40:24Speaker 3: lady tell me one time before it wasn't about the book,
- 40:27Speaker 3: she said, because if I printed something blank, she said,
- 40:31Speaker 3: She's still would buy. Yes, it was about the relationship
- 40:34Speaker 3: that she the things that the relationship that she was
- 40:37Speaker 3: able to build with me, you know, being able to
- 40:41Speaker 3: you know, relate to the things that I was sharing
- 40:44Speaker 3: and being able to connect with the story, you know,
- 40:49Speaker 3: the journey that I have had. You know, people wanted
- 40:52Speaker 3: to be able to connect with you. They can buy
- 40:54Speaker 3: anybody book that they can go on. You gonna have
- 40:59Speaker 3: it's beings to be the books. But people want to
- 41:02Speaker 3: know who you are. And when you allow people to
- 41:05Speaker 3: get to know you, they ain't got to know your
- 41:07Speaker 3: personal get all your personal where you live and all
- 41:10Speaker 3: that stuff, but stuff that you want them to know
- 41:13Speaker 3: around your journey. I allow them to get that close, yes,
- 41:18Speaker 3: so that they can think that they have that that
- 41:21Speaker 3: personal relationship with you. And I promise you they will
- 41:24Speaker 3: support the things that you do. You you you have
- 41:26Speaker 3: an event, they'll come out you you you you launch
- 41:29Speaker 3: a book that they're they're subscribe to it. So they'll
- 41:33Speaker 3: get that same notification you get when your book, when
- 41:35Speaker 3: they say your book was coming out, Amazon has send
- 41:37Speaker 3: them something to just all about building relationship.
- 41:41Speaker 5: It is it is and that's why I'm glad that
- 41:43Speaker 5: you gave us that name and you know, just you know,
- 41:46Speaker 5: a quick thing. When you said, like people wanted to connect.
- 41:48Speaker 5: I always hear my story, you know, you know, in
- 41:51Speaker 5: reference to just being a sub a survival, just some
- 41:55Speaker 5: life in general. And I'm able to testimony. And when
- 41:58Speaker 5: I tell people that, I they was like, oh, Charlotte,
- 42:01Speaker 5: let let let me know when you're gonna, you know,
- 42:03Speaker 5: start selling your books. Like I said, it's not even
- 42:05Speaker 5: about selling the book. They want to hear what you
- 42:07Speaker 5: have to say. And that's what I'm you know, sometimes
- 42:11Speaker 5: you know, I'm gonna say my children just say.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Oh, you know, you tell too much.
- 42:15Speaker 5: I don't really care at this point because I'm able
- 42:18Speaker 5: to help somebody else and and and somebody spoken to
- 42:22Speaker 5: my life, whereas I was when I wanted to commit suicide.
- 42:27Speaker 4: You know, I just a quick story.
- 42:29Speaker 5: I was at a woman's function when I finally brought
- 42:32Speaker 5: it out, and I'm telling you, so many pray over me,
- 42:36Speaker 5: and it was you know, I'm able to pay it
- 42:38Speaker 5: for it. It took me a minute to get myself together,
- 42:41Speaker 5: but look at me now, and I'm so grateful unto
- 42:44Speaker 5: God that I could tell, you know, tell my story
- 42:47Speaker 5: about you know, all the people that have transitioned after
- 42:50Speaker 5: my mother, and like I said, I don't have those
- 42:53Speaker 5: suicidal thoughts. I'm able to share my story about the stuttering.
- 42:57Speaker 5: You know, that's a lot to me or just you know,
- 43:00Speaker 5: just being a a woman of color, you know, and
- 43:04Speaker 5: and it's just you know, just being a human being general.
- 43:08Speaker 5: So you know, that's how I'm able to, like you said,
- 43:11Speaker 5: to connect with people. And like I said, I like
- 43:14Speaker 5: you aren't and real.
- 43:15Speaker 4: So that's that's just me. But I you know, reference
- 43:18Speaker 4: to the group. We are going to do better. That's
- 43:20Speaker 4: a promise. We are gonna do better.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Amen. Amen. Well, I definitely have enjoyed sitting down and
- 43:31Speaker 3: talking with you tonight, but I really want you to
- 43:35Speaker 3: share with those that tune in and those that were
- 43:38Speaker 3: here to replay, how can we connect with you? How
- 43:41Speaker 3: can we stay connected and see what you're doing and
- 43:49Speaker 3: follow you because I know you be dropping some nuggas.
- 43:52Speaker 3: I know you gotta be dropping some nuggas somewhere.
- 43:54Speaker 5: So I'm on Facebook. I really love Facebook, but I'm
- 43:59Speaker 5: also on and on Instagram. It's under Star's Web of Artistry.
- 44:05Speaker 5: That's also my email address with the stars web of
- 44:10Speaker 5: Artistry at gmail dot com. I also have, Charlotte says
- 44:15Speaker 5: right now. And also I have a website. I'm still
- 44:20Speaker 5: I'm in the process of revamping it. So once I
- 44:23Speaker 5: get that out, I'm definitely gonna push forward with that.
- 44:26Speaker 5: And you know, just if you want to. I don't
- 44:29Speaker 5: like to say hit me up, but if you want
- 44:31Speaker 5: to hit me up, just reach out to me via Facebook,
- 44:33Speaker 5: DM me I'm I'm. I'm more easily acceptable, as well
- 44:37Speaker 5: as on Instagram. And if also you can just tell
- 44:41Speaker 5: angel hey, I saw Charlotte, you know, and I and
- 44:44Speaker 5: again answer I notice is you know, you've given us
- 44:46Speaker 5: the opportunity to speak. But I do want to say
- 44:50Speaker 5: thank you for you know, just for allowing God to
- 44:53Speaker 5: use you as a vessel, because I always say I
- 44:56Speaker 5: say this to you. You have allowed me to be,
- 45:01Speaker 5: you know, so visible out there. And I don't know
- 45:04Speaker 5: if you know people ever knew. I never met anyone,
- 45:08Speaker 5: but we have connected. We have known each other I
- 45:11Speaker 5: think for two years or maybe more.
- 45:14Speaker 3: And we've been knowing each other alone than two years years.
- 45:17Speaker 3: You've been right for the magazine for two years.
- 45:21Speaker 5: A quick story about the magazine, so I'm this last
- 45:24Speaker 5: story so reference to the magazine. Angela was looking for authors.
- 45:28Speaker 5: So I said to Oh, I want to do poetry.
- 45:31Speaker 5: She said no, she said, she said I have something
- 45:34Speaker 5: that you could do. She said grief and gratitude. And
- 45:37Speaker 5: I said to myself, I said, Lord, I don't want
- 45:40Speaker 5: to do that. Iver said that to my family. I said, why,
- 45:42Speaker 5: don't want to keep on talking about that? But Angel said,
- 45:45Speaker 5: you know, and you could do it. I reached out
- 45:47Speaker 5: to a mentor and he said to say, my family
- 45:50Speaker 5: said to do it. I prayed over it, and God
- 45:53Speaker 5: said to do it. So I'm able to share my story.
- 45:56Speaker 5: And it's not always about someone transitioning. I speak about
- 46:00Speaker 5: mental health. Mental health is real. I speak about just
- 46:03Speaker 5: being a black and brown person in general. Just anything
- 46:07Speaker 5: that the Holy Spirit put on my mind. That's what
- 46:09Speaker 5: I write it back about. And at the end of
- 46:11Speaker 5: the day, I trying to give a resolution. So you
- 46:14Speaker 5: know it's you know, I'm just humbly grateful to you,
- 46:17Speaker 5: woman of God, because you know, you answer the call
- 46:20Speaker 5: and you've pushed you.
- 46:22Speaker 4: You are like a midwife and you are pushing us forth.
- 46:26Speaker 5: So I'm humbly grateful for you, and I'm gonna take
- 46:29Speaker 5: connected to you until Jesus says not so Okay, so
- 46:32Speaker 5: I do.
- 46:33Speaker 4: So you just stuck with me.
- 46:34Speaker 5: I can't say I'm just telling you that. And I
- 46:36Speaker 5: just want to say thank you for the opportunity. And
- 46:39Speaker 5: I just pray everybody peace and and thank you all
- 46:43Speaker 5: for your support. I'm I'm humbly grateful and I want
- 46:46Speaker 5: to say thank you for tuning in.
- 46:49Speaker 3: So how can they follow you? How can they get
- 46:52Speaker 3: your books? How can they see what you got coming
- 46:55Speaker 3: out next? Do you have website? You're on social media?
- 46:59Speaker 3: How can they say to it?
- 47:00Speaker 5: Well, the the social media, like I said, it is Facebook,
- 47:04Speaker 5: Charlotte Simon, Instagram, its stars Web of Artistry, like I said,
- 47:11Speaker 5: I have my my email accounts as stars well, Web
- 47:15Speaker 5: of Artistry at at gmail dot com.
- 47:18Speaker 4: That's the one I would prefer for everyone to use.
- 47:22Speaker 2: So far.
- 47:23Speaker 4: I I don't have my books out as of yet,
- 47:26Speaker 4: but I'm going to get better than that.
- 47:29Speaker 5: And I do have my website is Simon says right now,
- 47:34Speaker 5: and like I said, I'm in the process of revamping it.
- 47:36Speaker 5: I want to put my books up here. I I
- 47:39Speaker 5: have been allowed to do some of the anthology, so
- 47:42Speaker 5: now I have to, you know, put it on my
- 47:44Speaker 5: website and the reference to that if you want, if
- 47:47Speaker 5: you're looking for someone just to speak, to give an
- 47:49Speaker 5: honest word, you could just I don't like to say link,
- 47:53Speaker 5: hit me up on the website, via Instagram, Facebook, on
- 47:58Speaker 5: my email and I will be there if the Lord
- 48:01Speaker 5: says so.
- 48:02Speaker 4: And if you do allow me to speak, it's gonna
- 48:05Speaker 4: be the truth. And that's it. I know it's corny,
- 48:08Speaker 4: but it's the real truth.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Amen. Amen, Amen, I thank you for stopping by and sharing.
- 48:14Speaker 3: I tell you I truly truly have been blessed. But
- 48:17Speaker 3: I always have my guests. I always want my guests.
- 48:20Speaker 3: If I can remember before we leave last night out,
- 48:25Speaker 3: I think me and Keisha, I don't think I gave
- 48:28Speaker 3: her a chance to share something positive because we were
- 48:31Speaker 3: so into the conversation. We went over an hour, so
- 48:35Speaker 3: I don't think I got a chance to allow her
- 48:37Speaker 3: to share something positive. But I always like for my
- 48:40Speaker 3: guests to share something positive that individuals can take away
- 48:46Speaker 3: from our conversation today. You know, they could take away
- 48:51Speaker 3: from you know, just connecting with you and just something
- 48:55Speaker 3: that they can remember you by. I want them to say,
- 48:58Speaker 3: oh I remember that, and I want to go find
- 49:01Speaker 3: So what is something you can pour into us today?
- 49:03Speaker 3: That will encourage us to inspire us and and and
- 49:07Speaker 3: and keep us on this journey.
- 49:10Speaker 5: Okay, I'm not gonna get emotional, but I'm gonna I'm
- 49:12Speaker 5: gonna just say, you know, God is real. He's a
- 49:15Speaker 5: good God and you and what I hear in my
- 49:18Speaker 5: spirit is to trust him. You know, you have to
- 49:22Speaker 5: trust God and in all truth and all humbleness. I'm
- 49:27Speaker 5: you know, I'm going through something right now, but I
- 49:28Speaker 5: don't look like what I'm going through. Only a few
- 49:30Speaker 5: people know. But you know, I tell you this, I
- 49:33Speaker 5: get up every morning with my right mind. I'm able
- 49:36Speaker 5: to to to to this this thank God just for
- 49:41Speaker 5: having me to to be here today. And it's like God,
- 49:45Speaker 5: you know, I have to give God the glory, you
- 49:47Speaker 5: know when we are and I'm getting excited, but you know,
- 49:50Speaker 5: we have to trust God in all things. We might
- 49:52Speaker 5: not understand the process, but He is preparing us for
- 49:55Speaker 5: the purpose. He is processing and he's making us stronger.
- 49:59Speaker 5: And I have been so much all right, but I'm
- 50:02Speaker 5: I'm grateful to God on today and I just want
- 50:04Speaker 5: to leave with y'all. You know, you know, whether you're
- 50:07Speaker 5: a believer or not, I pray that you know that
- 50:11Speaker 5: you know who watches did you come.
- 50:12Speaker 4: To know the Lord for yourself? But God is real
- 50:16Speaker 4: and and I'm telling you he he you.
- 50:18Speaker 5: You might not understand the process, but after the end
- 50:22Speaker 5: of the day, after you pass that test, glory to God,
- 50:24Speaker 5: You're gonna give a testimony like never before. And I'm
- 50:27Speaker 5: telling you I have I'm still here. I'm not six
- 50:31Speaker 5: feet under, I'm not no ashes. I'm able to testify.
- 50:35Speaker 5: I Like I said, I got my right mind. I'm
- 50:38Speaker 5: able to sleep in a bed, eat my own food,
- 50:43Speaker 5: and and and that's just it. And just to be
- 50:46Speaker 5: able to share with people and and be authentic in yourself.
- 50:50Speaker 5: You know, that's all I can say. You know, if anything,
- 50:53Speaker 5: be truthful about and what you do, just be yourself.
- 50:59Speaker 3: They may amen. I tell you that is that. That
- 51:02Speaker 3: is it. That's all you can do is be yourself,
- 51:05Speaker 3: be true and be authentic. People want that true, authentic
- 51:09Speaker 3: version of you. You know, it's hard being somebody else,
- 51:13Speaker 3: you know, I'm I'm I'm struggling just trying to find
- 51:18Speaker 3: out exactly you know, who, and what I'm supposed to
- 51:21Speaker 3: be and what I'm supposed to be doing.
- 51:23Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying.
- 51:24Speaker 3: So it's hard for me to try to the faith
- 51:27Speaker 3: and try to be like somebody else because I got
- 51:30Speaker 3: to try to find out who this person is. You
- 51:33Speaker 3: got to try to find out who this person I'm
- 51:35Speaker 3: supposed to be and all of this that's in me
- 51:38Speaker 3: and all of that. So I can't be keeping up
- 51:40Speaker 3: with nobody else.
- 51:41Speaker 4: I can't.
- 51:41Speaker 3: I'm telling you I can't. I can't.
- 51:44Speaker 5: But I know every day, every day, Yes, I got
- 51:49Speaker 5: to encourage myself. I know, like I said, hopefully the
- 51:51Speaker 5: bishop is not watching, but you know, you know, and
- 51:54Speaker 5: also you know, this is a little a little thing.
- 51:56Speaker 5: You know, when you when God has a calling over
- 51:58Speaker 5: your life, you're supposed to act a certain way. And
- 52:01Speaker 5: you know, we we all grow in the process. It's
- 52:04Speaker 5: not you know, it's it's hard to be good every day,
- 52:07Speaker 5: but we're not all perfect. But you know, in the process,
- 52:10Speaker 5: God has building you to something great, greater than you
- 52:13Speaker 5: never seen before in your life. And in the interim
- 52:15Speaker 5: of all that, you know, I just want to you know,
- 52:18Speaker 5: my my my first lady says she. You know, we
- 52:20Speaker 5: was talking one time. She says she wants she want
- 52:22Speaker 5: to make God proud. And it's when she said that
- 52:25Speaker 5: I wanted to cry because I said, I always want
- 52:27Speaker 5: to make God proud. I'm not getting emotional, but you know,
- 52:31Speaker 5: we're here for a reason and we have to encourage
- 52:33Speaker 5: one another. And you know, because like you said, and
- 52:35Speaker 5: I'm not trying to be like you know, Carol Burnett
- 52:39Speaker 5: or Carol two or whatever.
- 52:41Speaker 4: I'm just want to be Charlotte.
- 52:42Speaker 5: And when it's time for me to meet my maker,
- 52:44Speaker 5: I want him to say, well done, my good and
- 52:47Speaker 5: faithful servant.
- 52:47Speaker 4: So I have to I have to stand in truth.
- 52:50Speaker 5: I have to stand in a stand for you know,
- 52:53Speaker 5: what God says well you know, people like it or
- 52:55Speaker 5: not and like and also you know, like I said,
- 52:56Speaker 5: we go to Bible college or by biblical studies. And
- 53:02Speaker 5: I'm really you know, I'm running a lot. You know,
- 53:04Speaker 5: I can't be so judgmental, you know, which you know
- 53:08Speaker 5: sometime I can be, but I can't, you know, because
- 53:11Speaker 5: we we all fall short, and you know, you know,
- 53:14Speaker 5: so that's that's the process that I'm running now. We
- 53:16Speaker 5: all fall short. And you know, who am I to
- 53:19Speaker 5: judge somebody because they not you know, doing what they support. Well,
- 53:23Speaker 5: I think they're not living righteous. I have to be
- 53:25Speaker 5: concerned about me and you know, and I'm gonna say
- 53:28Speaker 5: my seventeen year old and that's just it. And as
- 53:31Speaker 5: God built me up and continue to grow me in ministry,
- 53:35Speaker 5: if it's if it's meant for me to preach it,
- 53:37Speaker 5: then I'll do so. But you know, for now, I
- 53:40Speaker 5: can't judge nobody because I don't know. I'm just kind
- 53:43Speaker 5: of just saying I said, I still smell funky sometimes.
- 53:46Speaker 4: Okay, that's just it.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Okay, that's it. I mean, that's that's that's it. We
- 53:53Speaker 3: we we can't because we don't have a hand nor
- 53:56Speaker 3: a hemn they're puting nobody in Come on, come on,
- 53:58Speaker 3: come on. If that pint that fanger, when we pointing
- 54:01Speaker 3: that fanger at somebody, you gotta know that one is
- 54:04Speaker 3: pointing back at you. One is pointing back at you.
- 54:07Speaker 3: Because when you go to point that fanger like that,
- 54:10Speaker 3: your thumb point back and then them fingers right there
- 54:12Speaker 3: when you got them pointed that way, if you're pointing them,
- 54:16Speaker 3: three pingers right there pointing back at you because you're
- 54:18Speaker 3: pointing that way. So it's always something pointing at you
- 54:22Speaker 3: when you're pointing at somebody else. So no, huh, and
- 54:26Speaker 3: guess what that one that you're pointing at somebody else,
- 54:28Speaker 3: know that you got three more pointing back at you
- 54:31Speaker 3: if you ever look, if you look at it, you'll
- 54:33Speaker 3: see it. And we gotta understand that. But I tell you,
- 54:36Speaker 3: I truly have been blessed on tonight. I truly have.
- 54:39Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to all that God is doing within
- 54:43Speaker 3: the one hundred Outer Movement, within your group and in
- 54:47Speaker 3: your personal brand. I cannot wait to see that book
- 54:52Speaker 3: come out and develop and how it can minister to
- 54:56Speaker 3: many people. So I'm excited about that. Look forward to
- 54:59Speaker 3: just see in a lot with your group, because I've
- 55:03Speaker 3: heard you pouring, I've seen you working, I've seen you
- 55:07Speaker 3: doing it. So I'm expecting, like I'm expecting. I ain't
- 55:11Speaker 3: gonna put a certain type of expectation on it, but
- 55:16Speaker 3: I just know I'm expecting. I don't have an outline
- 55:21Speaker 3: of the expectation, but no, I'm expecting something great to
- 55:24Speaker 3: come from within that group. I am definitely expecting something
- 55:28Speaker 3: to come from within that group. So I am looking
- 55:31Speaker 3: forward to working with you guys. I'm looking forward to
- 55:33Speaker 3: coming to New York because y'all, I have not been
- 55:36Speaker 3: to New York as an adult. I went as a child,
- 55:39Speaker 3: but I've not been as an adult, and I have
- 55:41Speaker 3: family member up in upstate New York, so definitely would
- 55:46Speaker 3: like to come and you know, get to see New York.
- 55:51Speaker 4: Yes, we're gonna try to make make it happen.

- 56:23Speaker 3: can do it during the summertime, maybe in August. If
- 56:26Speaker 3: we can look at it towards August, that would be great.
- 56:30Speaker 3: I'm also gonna be getting with doctor Carry he's down
- 56:33Speaker 3: in Alabama. We're gonna see if we can do something
- 56:35Speaker 3: down in Alabama as well. So yeah, we even might
- 56:40Speaker 3: need to hear and and and and slide on and
- 56:42Speaker 3: cruise on and fly on or whatever we're gonna do
- 56:45Speaker 3: on to the island because we got we got doctor Chen.
- 56:49Speaker 3: We got doctor Chen. We can go over there and
- 56:51Speaker 3: and and sit with doctor Chen and and and do
