- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:08Speaker 2: It is time believe your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:12Speaker 2: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trendholm.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Today got a big show to start the week coming up.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Trey has a big surprise. It's such a surprise. He
- 0:28Speaker 2: won't even tell me about it, not one single thing,
- 0:34Speaker 2: no hint, no single word, clue, no nothing. I'm both
- 0:38Speaker 2: intrigued and terrified. That is coming up inside the Treehouse today,
- 0:42Speaker 2: So don't miss that. But we need to start with
- 0:45Speaker 2: one of the more shocking developments in the news cycle
- 0:49Speaker 2: over the weekend, and that is I can't believe I'm
- 0:56Speaker 2: saying this out loud. I'm not making this up. In
- 0:59Speaker 2: case you missed it, did President Trump calls Sea Span
- 1:03Speaker 2: under a fake name John there?
- 1:06Speaker 3: And you have look you have this is the worst
- 1:08Speaker 3: decision you ever have in your life. Practically, Jack and
- 1:12Speaker 3: Jacksicana agree with me, right, but this is a terrible decision.
- 1:16Speaker 3: And you have Hakeem Jeffries, who he's a dope, and
- 1:19Speaker 3: you have Chuck Schumer, who can't cook the cheeseburger of
- 1:23Speaker 3: course these people are happy. Of course these people happy,
- 1:26Speaker 3: but true Americans will not be happy. And you have
- 1:28Speaker 3: the woman earlier. I assume she's a woman, she's a Democrat,
- 1:31Speaker 3: but she said she's she's disgraced, she's devastated.
- 1:36Speaker 2: All right, man, there's a lot to unpack there.
- 1:47Speaker 1: First of all, First of all, it is absurd. Absurd.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yes, yes, it is. Whatever you're about to say. I
- 1:55Speaker 2: agree it's going to be absurd. But please continue to
- 1:58Speaker 2: think Trump would call in to sea Span.
- 2:00Speaker 1: They don't have the ratings.
- 2:03Speaker 2: He's more like, must have at least a million eyeballs
- 2:06Speaker 2: before he'll go.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I mean he has a I mean yeah, it's not
- 2:09Speaker 1: like there's any morning show or anything that well except
- 2:12Speaker 1: for MSNBC that probably wouldn't take his call. I mean
- 2:14Speaker 1: it is, it is ratings, but he's not gonna waste
- 2:18Speaker 1: his time on c SPAN. And let's be honest, that's
- 2:21Speaker 1: not even that I've heard better impressions.
- 2:28Speaker 2: For the record, the caller there that introduced himself as
- 2:32Speaker 2: John Baron is an alias that Trump used decades ago
- 2:36Speaker 2: when he would call tabloids trying to insert news stories
- 2:41Speaker 2: about Donald Trump. He would pose as John Baron. The
- 2:46Speaker 2: PR guy or Donald Trump. I want to agree with
- 2:54Speaker 2: you so bad, Tray, I do, but there is a
- 2:58Speaker 2: level of absurdity to this that I kind of want
- 3:01Speaker 2: to be true. Maybe he was in a giving mood
- 3:05Speaker 2: and felt like bolstering Sea SPAN's clout slash ratings for
- 3:09Speaker 2: a couple of days, because ratings don't immediately go up
- 3:14Speaker 2: when someone calls in. That's after the fact, right. I
- 3:19Speaker 2: just I kind of want it to be true just
- 3:22Speaker 2: for the comedy of it.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I mean, it'd be nice, I mean, but it's uh.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I mean, he's not like Kevin Durant on Twitter, where
- 3:36Speaker 1: you know he's got alias accounts, and.
- 3:42Speaker 2: We don't know because there's also the question of of
- 3:46Speaker 2: the Obamas as monkey video that got posted and the
- 3:49Speaker 2: White House came out AND's like, no, that was not Trump,
- 3:52Speaker 2: that was a staffer. We don't know who the staffer was.
- 3:54Speaker 2: As far as I know, they haven't named that staffer.
- 3:56Speaker 2: But then like two days later, the Press Secretary says, hey,
- 3:59Speaker 2: every thing that the president posts on truth socials one
- 4:02Speaker 2: hundred percent him. Now, granted she was referring to a
- 4:05Speaker 2: different matter that he had posted on, so you really
- 4:08Speaker 2: don't know, which is kind of the fun of it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And again, if this were something that that had ratings,
- 4:17Speaker 1: I would, you know, really give it a thorough thinking about.
- 4:22Speaker 1: But it just se Span is beneath Trump. Yeah.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Se Span is typically where you got more of a
- 4:30Speaker 2: baba booie call.
- 4:31Speaker 1: In, right.
- 4:32Speaker 4: You know.
- 4:32Speaker 2: That's now, if this had happened, if this had happened
- 4:36Speaker 2: on Fox and Friends, I don't know if there'd really
- 4:38Speaker 2: be any debate to this. Plus I'm pretty sure Fox
- 4:41Speaker 2: would know that it was him or not ahead of time.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like they'd be able to verify.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so one more time, let's just let's just listen
- 4:52Speaker 2: to it, you know. And I'm not even focusing on
- 4:54Speaker 2: the content. I mean, he's he's calling into c Span
- 4:56Speaker 2: talking about the uh SO the SCOTUS ruling on the
- 5:00Speaker 2: tariffs that was deemed illegal sixty three. So let's just
- 5:05Speaker 2: listen to the voice. Because when I first heard it yesterday,
- 5:08Speaker 2: I was like, or on Sunday, I was thinking that, yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 2: that's just that's just someone doing an impression. But I've
- 5:13Speaker 2: listened to it like three times now, and the more
- 5:16Speaker 2: I listened to it, the less sure I am as
- 5:19Speaker 2: to it not being him.
- 5:21Speaker 3: John there, and you have look, you have this is
- 5:23Speaker 3: the worst decision you ever have in your life, practically, Jack,
- 5:28Speaker 3: and Jack's gonna agree with me, right, but this is
- 5:31Speaker 3: a terrible decision. And you have Hakeem Jeffries, who he's
- 5:34Speaker 3: a dope, and you have Chuck Schumer, who can't cook
- 5:38Speaker 3: a cheeseburger. Of course these people are happy. Of course.
- 5:43Speaker 2: That, by the way, I think is my new favorite
- 5:45Speaker 2: PG insult so and so can't cook a cheeseburger.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Hey, I don't think I've ever heard trumpies were dope,
- 5:55Speaker 1: But like I said, I've heard better Trump impressions. It's funny.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Well, let's go to our residential comedian, Hello Raj. Hello friends,
- 6:07Speaker 2: have you heard a better Trump impersonation than this one?
- 6:10Speaker 4: Godfrey has the best Trump impression.
- 6:13Speaker 5: In the world.
- 6:14Speaker 2: How have I not seen this?
- 6:16Speaker 4: He's amazing.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Oh, I gotta watch that because it makes it even
- 6:19Speaker 2: funnier by the fact that Godfrey's a black man.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Yes, and it's it's unbelievable.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Do you know what Godfrey was doing Sunday morning? Was
- 6:31Speaker 2: he was he bent calling Seespan, posing as John Baron,
- 6:35Speaker 2: posing as Donald Trump on se Span?
- 6:38Speaker 4: Uh? I don't think he was. I think he was
- 6:42Speaker 4: probably busy doing show somewhere.
- 6:45Speaker 2: But on Sunday morning, there's no comedy clubs doing you
- 6:48Speaker 2: know Sunday mornings.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Right, he sleeps.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Until Like I've worked with him for years now, he
- 6:54Speaker 6: sleeps till about five pm.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Because he goes up.
- 6:58Speaker 6: He takes the last spot of the comedy souf, so
- 7:00Speaker 6: he does like the two am spot.
- 7:03Speaker 2: All right, for this sake, just for this sake of diligence,
- 7:10Speaker 2: just shoot him at link to this and just say, hey, bro,
- 7:14Speaker 2: was this you?
- 7:17Speaker 4: So we don't think this was actually Trump?
- 7:20Speaker 2: Trey says no. I initially thought no because I, like
- 7:26Speaker 2: I said, just a minute ago, it sounded too much
- 7:28Speaker 2: like an impression. And if I'm being honest, based on
- 7:32Speaker 2: how he has sounded verbally on TV and stuff over
- 7:35Speaker 2: the past week, this sounds almost too tight of Donald Trump,
- 7:42Speaker 2: like everything's making sense in a row, whereas President Trump
- 7:46Speaker 2: is typically more stream of consciousness. Word vomit kind of
- 7:50Speaker 2: a thing. Like if if Trump was to actually call
- 7:52Speaker 2: in be like, see he's been it's me. I'm the
- 7:54Speaker 2: I feel like he would one want to say it's
- 7:56Speaker 2: him and then be like, yes, this is me. This
- 7:58Speaker 2: is a terrible ruling by this Supreme Court. And then
- 8:01Speaker 2: and then when he mentions cheeseburgers, then he would go
- 8:04Speaker 2: off into cheeseburgers, and then beef prices are down. Everyone
- 8:08Speaker 2: should be happy, and eventually you end up in some
- 8:11Speaker 2: other place that we have no idea about, whereas this
- 8:14Speaker 2: was a much tighter, more you know, thoroughly thought out.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Can can we can we play it again?
- 8:20Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:23Speaker 3: John Baron, and you have look, you have the words
- 8:26Speaker 3: decision you ever have in your life, practically, Jack, and
- 8:30Speaker 3: Jack's gonna agree with me, right, but this is a
- 8:33Speaker 3: terrible decision.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I like to think this part is real and that
- 8:36Speaker 2: Jack's just like the janitor in the corner. Okay, Jack agrees,
- 8:41Speaker 2: as he's mopping.
- 8:42Speaker 6: So the whole John Baron thing started in the eighties
- 8:46Speaker 6: when he wanted to get on the Forbes list. Ah
- 8:51Speaker 6: what he was not deemed an actual billionaire. He would
- 8:55Speaker 6: call Forbes as John Baron. Now what's his middle name?
- 9:00Speaker 6: I think it's John.
- 9:02Speaker 4: What's his son's name?
- 9:03Speaker 2: It's Baron. Yeah, we actually mentioned that a few minutes ago.
- 9:05Speaker 2: That so yeah, So this is Neale as Trump used
- 9:09Speaker 2: decades ago, also in part to get stories about himself
- 9:14Speaker 2: and the tabloids, but.
- 9:15Speaker 6: He also denies that he's John Baron. He says that's
- 9:18Speaker 6: not him.
- 9:20Speaker 2: So look, you know, I think it's fine if all
- 9:23Speaker 2: the presidents want to have alter egos, you know, I
- 9:26Speaker 2: mean I think so I would.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I would love to see Barack Obama's alter ego.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I haven't figured one out for him yet.
- 9:34Speaker 4: I think it would be Jay z.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I figured Biden's is like Mike Malarkey and and okay,
- 9:42Speaker 2: and then you know Trump is John Baron and we
- 9:44Speaker 2: could go back whatever. But I mean, like, I'm not
- 9:46Speaker 2: opposed to it.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I just I it sounds. It sounds to me
- 9:52Speaker 4: like him.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Because nobody else uses the term John Baron, Like nobody
- 9:57Speaker 6: would know to do that.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Everybody knows that Dame. Yeah, everyone knew that, Like everybody
- 10:04Speaker 2: knows John Baron. I knew what, Trey knew it, You
- 10:05Speaker 2: knew it. Every news story that I've seen knows it.
- 10:08Speaker 2: In fact, just trying to put a dampener on this.
- 10:14Speaker 2: C SPAN came out after this went viral, the best
- 10:19Speaker 2: press c SPAN has had in at least ten years. Yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 2: at least since the last time Baba Booie prank called
- 10:26Speaker 2: them and instead of letting it, you know, breathe and
- 10:32Speaker 2: fester and get more attention on the network. They actually
- 10:35Speaker 2: came out and said, no, this definitely was not President Trump.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Really okay, but I don't.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Know what their reasoning is for that, or what their
- 10:44Speaker 2: justification or evidence is for that.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Again, Trump is not going to bother with c Span.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Really agree. I don't think you would either if it
- 10:54Speaker 2: And that's what I was thinking before. If this is
- 10:56Speaker 2: Fox and Friends, then I believe it, or I'd at
- 10:58Speaker 2: least come closer to leaving. And if he called it
- 11:01Speaker 2: Fox and Friends, he wouldn't use.
- 11:02Speaker 4: The name John Barton. I don't think. I don't know.
- 11:08Speaker 6: I think he was mad enough at the Supreme Court
- 11:12Speaker 6: to call into wherever he could call into.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Well, then he needs to drink called gorsicch and Clarence
- 11:18Speaker 2: Thomas and John Roberts bothering the nice lady on Sunday morning, Seaspan.
- 11:23Speaker 2: She's just trying to get through the day. She just
- 11:27Speaker 2: wants chicken fried steak later after the shift on a
- 11:29Speaker 2: Sunday afternoon, and some peace and quiet. She don't need this.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I just I mean, he he went on the
- 11:40Speaker 6: press conference that he held.
- 11:43Speaker 4: It was it's kind of the same points that he
- 11:48Speaker 4: was making.
- 11:49Speaker 6: In this call that he was ashamed of the Supreme
- 11:52Speaker 6: Court and he was ashamed of you know, the justices
- 11:55Speaker 6: that he that he's appointed.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Uh.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I think that i'd be mad too if my people
- 12:02Speaker 2: didn't do what I wanted him to do. That's pretty relatable.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:12Speaker 2: The downside is there's no real HR Department in the
- 12:16Speaker 2: federal government to go to to say, hey, these people
- 12:19Speaker 2: that I hired to do this job aren't doing it
- 12:21Speaker 2: the way I.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Wanted him to. I think the Supreme Court is the
- 12:26Speaker 4: HR Department, well.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Even worse for him, while at the same time knowing
- 12:33Speaker 2: that the the Supreme Court said, yeah, as president, you
- 12:35Speaker 2: can pretty much do whatever you want. So they are
- 12:41Speaker 2: mixed signals here.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Yeah. I was pretty shocked by the decision as well,
- 12:46Speaker 6: because I mean, he's stacked the Supreme Court on his
- 12:48Speaker 6: side and they've turned on it.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So it's not that that is the dumbest part of
- 12:54Speaker 1: the liberal argument about the Supreme Court. They always yes, no,
- 13:00Speaker 1: he stacked it as every president does when they have openings.
- 13:04Speaker 6: Biden could have put two more in and he didn't
- 13:06Speaker 6: know he couldn't. Yes, he could, how he could actually
- 13:10Speaker 6: add two more people to the Supreme Court.
- 13:12Speaker 1: You have to have congressional approval to that. You can't
- 13:14Speaker 1: do that. But no, he wouldn't have. Yes, there's no way.
- 13:17Speaker 1: He did not have both houses. There is no way. Yes,
- 13:20Speaker 1: And even both parties are very reluctant to get into
- 13:24Speaker 1: you know that with the Supreme Court. No, no one,
- 13:27Speaker 1: no one has had that kind of authority and nor
- 13:29Speaker 1: support for doing so.
- 13:31Speaker 4: But he could have, he could have actually stacked.
- 13:34Speaker 1: He couldn't have, could not have unless he was going
- 13:39Speaker 1: to force one of them to resign. No, he couldn't have.
- 13:41Speaker 2: The real simple answer to this. And we were so
- 13:44Speaker 2: close to just to staying on track. We were just
- 13:46Speaker 2: we were right there, right there, We were right there.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And that is and this is this is an a
- 13:52Speaker 2: political point to make, by the way, if you're president,
- 13:54Speaker 2: and you can, but your justice is quote unquote, your
- 13:59Speaker 2: justice is on the court. It is your responsibility to
- 14:02Speaker 2: your party and to hopefully your belief that this is
- 14:04Speaker 2: what's best for the country to do so. So if you,
- 14:07Speaker 2: if you could, you would like Trump was able to
- 14:11Speaker 2: with his if Biden was able to, he would have.
- 14:16Speaker 4: But no, no, but he didn't. He would have. He
- 14:19Speaker 4: could have No, you couldn't have.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Okay, and no, no time has there been enough support
- 14:26Speaker 1: to start screwing with the Supreme Court and adding members.
- 14:29Speaker 1: There has not either side.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Okay, so you can have eleven Supreme Court justices.
- 14:38Speaker 1: It takes an act of Congress.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Okay. He wouldn't got that passed, if you know, he
- 14:44Speaker 4: wouldn't have.
- 14:45Speaker 1: He did not could.
- 14:47Speaker 2: They didn't have the votes for that right. That's would have.
- 14:52Speaker 1: No need neither parties. There are centrist in both parties
- 14:54Speaker 1: who are not going to go to that extreme to
- 14:56Speaker 1: mess with the Supreme Court. You just simply do not
- 14:59Speaker 1: have enough support. Trump would not have enough support to
- 15:01Speaker 1: do it.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Now. Oh I think he would get well not now,
- 15:06Speaker 4: I think.
- 15:07Speaker 1: No, not ever it was first term yeah he wait,
- 15:10Speaker 1: this has been talked about for decades. No one has
- 15:13Speaker 1: ever had the support I know.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Okay, Well we'll agree to disagree.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Coming up next, Wrestle Dating.
- 15:28Speaker 4: You're in the treehouse, visit us online.
- 15:33Speaker 5: I'm Treehouse on air dot com.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW roofing and restoration
- 15:40Speaker 2: into the Treehouse. Eight three to three. Cook DFW is
- 15:43Speaker 2: the phone number you will need to schedule your free
- 15:45Speaker 2: Roof Inspection and Property Review, Daniel. I'm certain you've seen
- 15:50Speaker 2: those inflatable barriers, the bubbles that people can activate to
- 15:56Speaker 2: protect their vehicles during a hailstorm. Does that ex for
- 16:00Speaker 2: a house yet.
- 16:04Speaker 7: It's been talked about trying to see how they can
- 16:06Speaker 7: make those, but I don't know if anything's ever going
- 16:09Speaker 7: to be made like that.
- 16:10Speaker 1: It would.
- 16:13Speaker 7: But you know, even those ones for the cars, if
- 16:15Speaker 7: the hill is large enough, it can damage the cars
- 16:18Speaker 7: still after those are great for those smaller hell events
- 16:21Speaker 7: that you just don't want those nuisance beings on your car,
- 16:25Speaker 7: the pocket chains events, the large p size hell, you know,
- 16:29Speaker 7: because it can still dent your car. You know, small
- 16:32Speaker 7: hills still damaging. I know there's a misconception out there.
- 16:34Speaker 7: We just had some small hell. We didn't get any damage.
- 16:37Speaker 7: You probably did, you know, it just wasn't like things
- 16:41Speaker 7: that you noticeably can see after a large hell event
- 16:44Speaker 7: like the one that just went through here in Collin County,
- 16:45Speaker 7: North Colin last September. Well, they knew they had damage
- 16:49Speaker 7: because they had windows blown out, garage doors had hits
- 16:51Speaker 7: on them, looked like someone had shot them. You know,
- 16:54Speaker 7: everybody's windows are broken out in their cars. So then
- 16:58Speaker 7: they know they had a large enough event. But as
- 17:01Speaker 7: far as your total home protection, there's not going to
- 17:04Speaker 7: be any kind of force filled or large balloon that
- 17:07Speaker 7: you probably are going to be able to put around
- 17:08Speaker 7: your home. So you just need to make sure that
- 17:11Speaker 7: you hunker down and you get that checked out as
- 17:14Speaker 7: soon as possible to make sure you don't have substantial
- 17:16Speaker 7: leaks that are going to be forming really soon after
- 17:18Speaker 7: that storm.
- 17:19Speaker 2: And he brings up a great point, and that is
- 17:22Speaker 2: it doesn't matter the size of the hail that falls
- 17:25Speaker 2: during the storm, because after the fact, you need to
- 17:28Speaker 2: have that roof inspected to see to make sure that
- 17:31Speaker 2: there isn't any damage, because even if it's a small
- 17:34Speaker 2: piece of damage, that can grow over time and turn
- 17:37Speaker 2: into a massive problem even from a small hailed event.
- 17:41Speaker 2: So give Daniel and his team a call after severe
- 17:44Speaker 2: weather eight three three Cook DFW or that website cookdfw
- 17:48Speaker 2: dot com.
- 18:03Speaker 8: You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online at treehouseonair
- 18:08Speaker 8: dot com.
- 18:10Speaker 2: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 18:12Speaker 2: Cookdfwroofing and Restoration. To get your free roof inspection and
- 18:17Speaker 2: free property review scheduled call eight three three cook DFW.
- 18:21Speaker 2: That's eight three three cook dfw or the website cook
- 18:25Speaker 2: dfw dot com. Back into the treehouse. I'm Dan, that's Trey,
- 18:30Speaker 2: he's Raj. We're all in various forms of serious relationships. Now,
- 18:39Speaker 2: so this is now a hypothetical question. In case you
- 18:42Speaker 2: find yourself suddenly single, would you ditch a dating app
- 18:47Speaker 2: for a wrestling date? I'll give you a moment to
- 18:50Speaker 2: think about that. Burned out from swiping and ghosting, some
- 18:54Speaker 2: people are opting for real world activity groups. For example,
- 19:00Speaker 2: for Valentine's Day, there was a spot in New York
- 19:04Speaker 2: that hosted a wrestling date event where you would wrestle
- 19:08Speaker 2: potential daters instead of going through your standard speed dating
- 19:14Speaker 2: conversation swipe type thing. And of course, nothing says chemistry
- 19:21Speaker 2: like surviving suplex from your potential partner. So I'll ask
- 19:28Speaker 2: you again, now that you've had a moment to think
- 19:30Speaker 2: about this, if you've found yourself suddenly single and ready
- 19:34Speaker 2: to mingle, would you ditch the dating apps in favor
- 19:37Speaker 2: of a wrestling event for singles.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I've never been on a dating app.
- 19:44Speaker 6: Also, I have a bad leg and I'm a crier, So.
- 19:52Speaker 2: So no, so no, to both then yes, you're just
- 19:56Speaker 2: gonna stay home altogether and just hope.
- 19:59Speaker 6: Yep, I'll just do it the old fashioned way, like
- 20:02Speaker 6: just you know, go to a restaurant and sit at
- 20:06Speaker 6: the bar and see, you know, who's who's sitting there,
- 20:09Speaker 6: and you know, hit on them and and and see
- 20:12Speaker 6: if that works or if they hit on me.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Sometimes that happens. It's very rare.
- 20:16Speaker 2: But I didn't know how old fashioned you were going
- 20:19Speaker 2: to go, Like if you went super old fashioned and
- 20:21Speaker 2: just say just pay for it, which you know whatever both.
- 20:26Speaker 6: I've never done that either, but I know people that have,
- 20:31Speaker 6: so maybe that that could be a thing. Uh, I've never,
- 20:37Speaker 6: I've never. I don't know how to do that. I
- 20:39Speaker 6: don't know how to same thing that you mentioned.
- 20:43Speaker 2: You sit at a bar, at a restaurant or something,
- 20:46Speaker 2: and and you just you you see, you sit there
- 20:49Speaker 2: and you just wait and you wait and you wait
- 20:53Speaker 2: until someone that is so unbelievably out of your league
- 20:57Speaker 2: approaches you. That's probably it.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, if I my my my girl's way
- 21:04Speaker 4: out of my league.
- 21:05Speaker 6: But uh, you know, I'm I'm kicking my coverage.
- 21:08Speaker 4: But I had this happen. I had this happen in Vegas.
- 21:13Speaker 6: One time when I was sitting at the bar after
- 21:16Speaker 6: so at the laugh Factory at Tropicana, a girl came up,
- 21:20Speaker 6: sat down, offered to buy me a drink, and I
- 21:23Speaker 6: thought that was interesting because I don't have to pay
- 21:25Speaker 6: for anything. And my buddy, who's the casino host, walks
- 21:29Speaker 6: up and whispers in my ear and she goes. He
- 21:30Speaker 6: goes working girl, just so you know. So that's what
- 21:35Speaker 6: so I didn't have to like move past that. I
- 21:40Speaker 6: just had to go, I'm gonna switch chairs. That's that's
- 21:43Speaker 6: all I did.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Uh.
- 21:44Speaker 6: And she proceeded to find an older gentleman. I will
- 21:49Speaker 6: call him the silver Fox. He was a handsome probably
- 21:54Speaker 6: mid sixties, and they had a cocktail and then left.
- 22:00Speaker 6: So she did her job. But no, I wouldn't wrestle
- 22:06Speaker 6: anybody try.
- 22:08Speaker 2: What about you if you were suddenly single, would you?
- 22:10Speaker 2: Cause you're I mean, the relationship your the relationship you're
- 22:14Speaker 2: in is still rather new, and you've been on dating apps,
- 22:18Speaker 2: and I think at one point you kind of just said,
- 22:21Speaker 2: you know what, the dating app things not really for me.
- 22:23Speaker 2: You tried a couple of in person event kind of things,
- 22:28Speaker 2: and I give you credit for that because you went
- 22:30Speaker 2: to a singles mixer, you know last year? Would you
- 22:34Speaker 2: have done it had it been a wrestling event?
- 22:37Speaker 9: No?
- 22:39Speaker 2: So snobby?
- 22:41Speaker 1: No, it's not snobby, it's and what if she wins?
- 22:49Speaker 1: What if she wins?
- 22:51Speaker 4: That's not scobby.
- 22:52Speaker 1: That's protecting my masculinity. What if she whips my ass?
- 22:56Speaker 4: How? How?
- 22:57Speaker 1: What footing? Does that start the relationship off on?
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:00Speaker 4: You'll you'll never live that.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Down the bottom tray. It starts on the bottom stay there?
- 23:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 23:07Speaker 2: Uh? And you don't want DT your girlfriend? Well, would
- 23:13Speaker 2: you rather DDT or b ddt'd?
- 23:18Speaker 4: A bunch of my friends are professional wrestlers, so neither. Well.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Like I said, this actually happened on Valentine's Day. New
- 23:26Speaker 2: York and Los Angeles based social club called Grown Kid
- 23:31Speaker 2: hosted a wrestling speed dating night in Brooklyn, where hundreds
- 23:35Speaker 2: of eighteen to twenty four year olds arrived for a
- 23:37Speaker 2: chance to battle it out for love. Known for its
- 23:41Speaker 2: slightly ironic, extremely gen Z coded events, including a Fight
- 23:45Speaker 2: Your Evil situationship boxing night, this speed dating event was
- 23:49Speaker 2: pretty out there. The rules of the night were very straightforward.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Those with a wrestling ticket were guaranteed at least one
- 23:56Speaker 2: round of wrestling with a partner of their choice whom
- 23:59Speaker 2: they first had to approach in person. However, the pairs
- 24:03Speaker 2: relationship could then evolve beyond the mat a friendship, a relationship,
- 24:07Speaker 2: or something in between that was totally up to them.
- 24:13Speaker 2: The thing that this leaves out, though, is when it
- 24:17Speaker 2: says you're guaranteed one round of wrestling with a partner
- 24:21Speaker 2: of your choice, does the other person have to consent
- 24:25Speaker 2: to that? Or since you have a wrestling ticket, you
- 24:28Speaker 2: are also consenting to being chosen, whether you want to
- 24:31Speaker 2: or not, because that makes it really interesting.
- 24:34Speaker 1: If so. I just like the fact that it seems
- 24:38Speaker 1: that gen Z's communication skills have gotten so bad they're
- 24:41Speaker 1: just going caveman style.
- 24:45Speaker 4: I like how we're starting with domestic violence.
- 24:48Speaker 2: You know, some relationships wait years for that, but not
- 24:51Speaker 2: gen Z. We get it out in the open right away.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I love you. I can't wait to meet you folks.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yeah, she's slapping him on the ass, going making me
- 25:10Speaker 1: a lot.
- 25:10Speaker 2: De where you go?
- 25:18Speaker 4: Yeah? Uh yeah, I just can't even imagine if that
- 25:24Speaker 4: did it? Did any was anybody successful at this? Do
- 25:27Speaker 4: we know?
- 25:28Speaker 1: Did they define success?
- 25:30Speaker 4: How? Oh?
- 25:31Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:31Speaker 2: Define success? In a wrestling blind date?
- 25:34Speaker 1: A draw count to three submission Stone Cold, Stunner.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Yeah, Undertaker, Pile Drivers, Yeah, rock Bottom.
- 25:47Speaker 1: It seems apropos here.
- 25:52Speaker 2: And that's how you come back from a political fight.

- 27:12Speaker 2: Before we get to Trey's big surprise today, Raj has
- 27:16Speaker 2: a very hot take for us. Go ahead, Raj, and
- 27:18Speaker 2: it's wrestling based.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:20Speaker 6: I was saying the stone Cold Stunner was probably one
- 27:23Speaker 6: of the best moves in wrestling history.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Can you describe that for me again? Because the stone
- 27:31Speaker 2: Cold era the Rock that's when I didn't watch wrestling consistently.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I would watch a couple of clips here and there.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I kind of kept up with it a little bit,
- 27:42Speaker 2: but not near as much as I followed, you know,
- 27:44Speaker 2: hulk Mania back in the day. His I did. I
- 27:49Speaker 2: absolutely missed out on the golden era of wrestling.
- 27:52Speaker 4: His his rise to fame was accidental.
- 27:58Speaker 6: Uh. He was I think it was King of the
- 28:01Speaker 6: Ring and he wrestled a match before and got kicked
- 28:06Speaker 6: in the face and his lips split open and he
- 28:09Speaker 6: had to go to the hospital and get stitches and
- 28:11Speaker 6: then wrestle King of the Ring with Jake and Snake Roberts.
- 28:14Speaker 6: And this is when Jake found God and before copd uh.
- 28:21Speaker 2: So that's a hell of that's a hell of an
- 28:24Speaker 2: arc man going from Big Ass Snake to Jesus.
- 28:28Speaker 6: And Jake did a promo that he was reciting Bible
- 28:34Speaker 6: verses and it was decided that he was gonna like
- 28:38Speaker 6: they were going to drop it to stone cold Steve
- 28:41Speaker 6: Austin that he was going to beat Jake. And he
- 28:44Speaker 6: went and did a random promo and that's when he said,
- 28:48Speaker 6: because Jake was doing the Bible verses and he said,
- 28:51Speaker 6: Austin three sixteen said.
- 28:52Speaker 4: I just whooped your ass.
- 28:54Speaker 8: Uh.
- 28:54Speaker 4: And that's the bottom line, because Stone Colts said so.
- 28:58Speaker 6: And the next week every everybody had Austin three sixteen
- 29:01Speaker 6: shirts or signs. Yeah, and so his rise was completely accidental.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Yeah, he had been kind of a journeyman before that.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I think he was handsome Steve Austin or.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Stunning Steve Austin.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Stunning Steve Austin.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:17Speaker 4: Yeah. And here's how we got the name. Uh.
- 29:20Speaker 6: He was trying to figure out a new name because
- 29:22Speaker 6: he lost his hair, so he had to shave his head. Uh,
- 29:26Speaker 6: And he was trying to figure out a name, and
- 29:28Speaker 6: he was writing stuff down his wife. I don't know
- 29:31Speaker 6: if you guys remember h w CCW here, but gentlemen,
- 29:36Speaker 6: Chris Adams, Uh, he took he went to he trained
- 29:42Speaker 6: at his gym and then stole his wife.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Uh, yep, so so not all the storylines are fake.
- 29:51Speaker 6: No, So she was, she's British and she said, Uh,
- 29:56Speaker 6: he was, you know, jotting down different names, like trying
- 29:58Speaker 6: to figure out what what he could come up with.
- 30:00Speaker 6: And she said, uh, come in, come inside the kitchen
- 30:04Speaker 6: and finish your tea before it gets stone cold. And
- 30:08Speaker 6: that's where stone cold Steve Austin came from.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Got it.
- 30:11Speaker 4: But the stunner was he would.
- 30:12Speaker 6: Kick you in the gut and then drop you, you know,
- 30:15Speaker 6: grab you by the back of the neck and you know,
- 30:18Speaker 6: hit the ground.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Everything's designed to, you know, make.
- 30:21Speaker 1: You safe, kind of put you on a side headlock
- 30:24Speaker 1: and then go down and like act like your head
- 30:27Speaker 1: was hitting the And.
- 30:28Speaker 6: If you ever watched if you ever watched the Rock,
- 30:30Speaker 6: get one. He sells it so hard, like he flips.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Over and back a route.
- 30:37Speaker 6: Uh, nobody else did, but I think everybody in WWE got.
- 30:42Speaker 2: One at that point. It's probably a bit of a
- 30:46Speaker 2: rite of passage. And then Raj you said, you think
- 30:48Speaker 2: that the stone cold stunner is the greatest finishing move
- 30:50Speaker 2: in wrestling history. I think it's one of the greatest
- 30:53Speaker 2: moves in wrestling history. Oh, man, I got it, Mine's
- 30:57Speaker 2: got it. Is it the Is it the grave Digger
- 31:00Speaker 2: from Undertakers Undertaker?
- 31:02Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 31:03Speaker 2: Yeah, Uh that's partial to me just because how many
- 31:07Speaker 2: years that man wrestled and how many years he did that.
- 31:10Speaker 2: In fact, I feel like you know how I can
- 31:13Speaker 2: in some sports like baseball, they have like father and
- 31:16Speaker 2: son combos like the Griffies Ken Griffy Junior and Senior
- 31:19Speaker 2: both played in the outfield with the Seattle Mariners. I
- 31:22Speaker 2: like to think that the Undertaker did the grave Digger
- 31:25Speaker 2: on multiple generations of wrestling families.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sure.
- 31:30Speaker 6: Uh, but I mean, if you want to, if you
- 31:32Speaker 6: want to go back to my youth, the iron Claw
- 31:34Speaker 6: is still you know, that's a classic.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Phony as ship. But it was great to see Trey.
- 31:41Speaker 2: What yours? Do you have one.
- 31:44Speaker 1: That'd be the center?
- 31:46Speaker 2: All right, all right, let's stay with you, Trey. What
- 31:50Speaker 2: is your big surprise for us today? Inside the treehouse?
- 31:53Speaker 1: All right, I'm getting this ready?
- 31:57Speaker 4: Is it? Muffins?
- 31:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you're a baker.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Now, so you know, uh, Rogh has Grace. I know
- 32:07Speaker 1: you said she was ill.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Yeah, she's good.
- 32:09Speaker 6: Now she's had a little bit of the runs earlier,
- 32:12Speaker 6: but it's getting better. So we just did some of
- 32:15Speaker 6: the platos and just getting her stomach settle. She just
- 32:23Speaker 6: got into a plastic bag and ate some of it.
- 32:24Speaker 6: And there was a receipt in there and she ate
- 32:27Speaker 6: that as well. She's, you know, just an eight month
- 32:30Speaker 6: old puppy and doesn't know any better, and she's like, oh,
- 32:34Speaker 6: I think I'm gonna have the runs. So she got
- 32:38Speaker 6: sick at like six o'clock in the morning. I just
- 32:40Speaker 6: I just heard whining. And I'm a light sleeper, so
- 32:43Speaker 6: I just heard whining and I was like, Okay, I
- 32:46Speaker 6: guess you need to go to the I guess you
- 32:48Speaker 6: need to go outside.
- 32:49Speaker 4: And we went outside and it was just, I mean,
- 32:53Speaker 4: just a mess.
- 32:56Speaker 2: And she hit you with She hit you with the
- 32:58Speaker 2: poops dinner.
- 32:59Speaker 4: She did this, the stone cold poop stutter.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Oh good, I'm glad you're doing better.
- 33:05Speaker 4: Yeah, she's good. She's sleep right over here all right.
- 33:14Speaker 2: On Friday, No no, no, no, no no.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I had say goodbye to Daisy.
- 33:20Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, that's not a surprise. I
- 33:32Speaker 2: wanted Trey. I was hopeful it was going to be
- 33:34Speaker 2: a good one.
- 33:38Speaker 1: As is a tradition here on this show, on its
- 33:41Speaker 1: many iterations, when we lose a pet, we read this
- 33:46Speaker 1: fucking poem called we called the dog poem. It's actually
- 33:50Speaker 1: called dogs don't have souls?
- 33:52Speaker 4: Do they?
- 33:57Speaker 2: Uh?
- 33:58Speaker 4: Can? Can?
- 33:59Speaker 3: Can?
- 34:00Speaker 2: Can you do this?
- 34:01Speaker 4: Like?
- 34:01Speaker 2: Can you physically? Are you physically capable of reading this?
- 34:05Speaker 1: I think so? And then I have a little tribute
- 34:08Speaker 1: I made after this. Okay, I remember bringing you home.
- 34:16Speaker 1: You were so small and cuddly with your tiny paws
- 34:19Speaker 1: and soft fur. He bounced around the room with eyes
- 34:22Speaker 1: flashing and ears flopping. Once in a while, you'd let
- 34:26Speaker 1: out a little yelp, just let me know this was
- 34:28Speaker 1: your territory. Making a mess of the house and chewing
- 34:32Speaker 1: on everything in sight became a passion. And when I
- 34:35Speaker 1: scolded you, you just put your head down and looked
- 34:38Speaker 1: up at me with those innocent eyes as if to say,
- 34:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I'll do it again as soon as
- 34:44Speaker 1: you're not watching. As you got older, you protected me
- 34:48Speaker 1: by looking out the window and barking at everyone who
- 34:50Speaker 1: walked by. When I had a tough day at work,
- 34:54Speaker 1: you would be waiting for me with your tail wagging,
- 34:57Speaker 1: just to say welcome.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Home. I missed you.
- 35:00Speaker 1: You never had a bad day, and I could always
- 35:02Speaker 1: count on you to be there for me. When I
- 35:05Speaker 1: sat down to read the paper and watch TV. You
- 35:08Speaker 1: would hop on my lap looking for attention. You never
- 35:11Speaker 1: asked for anything more than for me to pet your
- 35:13Speaker 1: head so you could go to sleep with your head
- 35:15Speaker 1: over my leg. As you got older, you moved around
- 35:20Speaker 1: more slowly. Then one day old age finally took its
- 35:23Speaker 1: toll and you couldn't stand on those wobbly legs anymore.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I knelt down and patted you lying there, trying to
- 35:30Speaker 1: make you young again. You just looked up to me
- 35:34Speaker 1: as if to say you were old and tired, and
- 35:36Speaker 1: after all these years of not asking for anything, you
- 35:39Speaker 1: had to ask me for one last favor. With tears
- 35:42Speaker 1: in my eyes, I drove you one last time to
- 35:44Speaker 1: the vet, one last time. You were lying next to me.
- 35:51Speaker 1: For some strange reason, you were able to stand up
- 35:53Speaker 1: in the animal hospital. Perhaps it was your sense of pride.
- 35:58Speaker 1: As the vet came in the room for the final time,
- 36:00Speaker 1: he looked up to me. It is to say thank
- 36:03Speaker 1: you for taking care of me, And I thought, no,
- 36:07Speaker 1: thank you taking care of me. I never planned on Daisy.
- 36:20Speaker 1: There was a girl I liked who had some puppies,
- 36:22Speaker 1: and she wanted me to look at one because the
- 36:24Speaker 1: run of the litter was having trouble, and the vet
- 36:26Speaker 1: said she might need to be put down because her
- 36:28Speaker 1: back legs weren't working. I took one look at her
- 36:31Speaker 1: as she pulled herself towards me, and I said, she's
- 36:33Speaker 1: gonna be just fine. She just needs some time. I
- 36:36Speaker 1: didn't know it right then, but that would be the
- 36:38Speaker 1: start of an over fifteen year journey between the two
- 36:40Speaker 1: of us. I got all twelve ounces of her, and
- 36:43Speaker 1: then she grew into a whopping three pounds of pure
- 36:46Speaker 1: love and joy. There was something about Daisy. It didn't
- 36:50Speaker 1: matter whether it was a radio station, bar, or just
- 36:53Speaker 1: walking down the street. Wherever we went, and no matter
- 36:56Speaker 1: what we were doing, she always drew attention. She just
- 37:00Speaker 1: made people smile. She was three pounds of love and happiness.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Everybody was her friend. She never even knew a world
- 37:07Speaker 1: where bad things could happen. She was my best friend.
- 37:10Speaker 1: We were seldom separated, and she spent so many hours
- 37:13Speaker 1: snuggled on my neck or sitting on my shoulder. I
- 37:15Speaker 1: called her my parent. She got me through the two
- 37:17Speaker 1: most difficult periods of my life, the death of my
- 37:20Speaker 1: father and getting sober. Many nights during both she sat
- 37:24Speaker 1: there on my shoulder and licked my tears away, and
- 37:27Speaker 1: in doing so, reminded me I wasn't alone. And twice
- 37:31Speaker 1: when things got really dark, she was the only thing
- 37:34Speaker 1: that kept me tethered to this world. I didn't really
- 37:36Speaker 1: care about the damage I do to others, but I
- 37:39Speaker 1: couldn't dream of orphaning her. As she got older, I
- 37:43Speaker 1: made her and myself a promise. She had never had
- 37:46Speaker 1: a bad day. I swear she never would. When I
- 37:49Speaker 1: woke up on Friday, I knew the time was near.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Her little body was so frail, she was so tired.
- 37:55Speaker 1: So I kept my promise, and I said goodbye as
- 37:58Speaker 1: I held her in my arms. A ritual when I
- 38:00Speaker 1: came home every day, I'd pick her up as she
- 38:03Speaker 1: wagged her tail one hundred miles an hour, and I'd
