- 0:29Welcome to the Revolution of Purpose Podcast.
- 0:31This is your conversations episode.
- 0:34I'm Jon Street, and I am really honored
- 0:37to have a guest with me today
- 0:39that really represents the themes of purpose, discipline,
- 0:44and becoming your healthiest self.
- 0:46Our guest today is Jordan Wilson,
- 0:49and he is a 27-year-old personal trainer based in Ireland.
- 0:53He works with clients around the world
- 0:56and is known for giving practical
- 0:58and accessible health content on social media,
- 1:02specifically Instagram.
- 1:04He's also really funny.
- 1:05He blends humor along with his real fitness
- 1:08and education online.
- 1:10So today's conversation is gonna be far more
- 1:13than just fitness-based.
- 1:15It is about identity, consistency, and purpose,
- 1:19the transformation that happens when someone decides
- 1:22to become the healthiest version of themselves.
- 1:25So Jordan, welcome to the Revolution of Purpose Podcast.
- 1:29Thank you, sir.
- 1:30Pleasure to be here.
- 1:31Calling me funny is generous, but that's a good start.
- 1:34You definitely make me laugh,
- 1:37and usually it's on purpose, so yeah.
- 1:39At least once.
- 1:41At least once.
- 1:43So Jordan, before we get into anything else today,
- 1:46let me ask you, who are you today
- 1:50that your younger self would be proud that you've become?
- 1:53I mean, I would be proud of being this handsome.
- 1:56You know, like, am I joking?
- 1:57That's a bad start with the jokes.
- 2:01I kind of grew up in a part of the world
- 2:02where it's very small-minded, you know?
- 2:05And it's like you grow up, go through school,
- 2:10go to university, get a job, get married,
- 2:14live in the same town, I guess.
- 2:17And some of those things happened,
- 2:19but I guess that I'm proud that I've made it
- 2:24and that I'm able to work in a way
- 2:26where I didn't have to do that.
- 2:28And there's nothing wrong with that, of course,
- 2:29but it never was what I wanted to do,
- 2:33so I guess that's like a cool thing.
- 2:35Like, tomorrow I go to Florida for four weeks
- 2:39and I can bring everything with me, except my dog.
- 2:41You know, I can bring life and work
- 2:43and all these things with me,
- 2:45so I guess being able to be a free man or boy
- 2:50is something that I guess my younger self would be proud of.
- 2:53No, that's awesome.
- 2:54So when you were younger,
- 2:55did you ever imagine your life looking like this?
- 2:59No.
- 3:00Like, seriously, growing up, to tell crap jokes online
- 3:04and somehow it makes, no.
- 3:07I don't think so.
- 3:08I actually, so I went to university.
- 3:12Wait, actually, I finished school
- 3:16and on the day of decision,
- 3:19I was like 50-50 between going down the sports route,
- 3:23like I did, or going economics and accountancy, 50-50.
- 3:28And I'm glad I chose the sports route.
- 3:31But then going down with that,
- 3:32I was expecting to be a teacher.
- 3:34And I guess if I could pull a few years back
- 3:37and sit and look at what I'm doing now
- 3:39and telling bad jokes, making social media content,
- 3:44I don't think so.
- 3:44I don't think so, no.
- 3:45I don't, it's definitely different
- 3:48than what I would have expected, but it's good.
- 3:51Yeah.
- 3:51Well, and the way that you help people
- 3:53find a healthier way of living,
- 3:55when it comes to physically, of course,
- 3:58you kind of are teaching.
- 3:59You're kind of living that that you thought about.
- 4:02Kind of, that's true.
- 4:04So in some ways, a teacher, but yeah,
- 4:06I mean, my life's just random.
- 4:08Like, actually, I've got, I just introduced you to Lee.
- 4:13I've got a visitor over at the minute
- 4:14from Canada, one of my lovely clients.
- 4:17And he always laughs.
- 4:19He's like, so tonight he's coming to dinner
- 4:21with my mom and my dad and me.
- 4:22And he says he's gonna talk about how weird it is,
- 4:27how their son makes these stupid videos
- 4:31and has people from all over the world
- 4:33coming over to visit and stay and who are paying him.
- 4:35And he just thinks it's so bizarre.
- 4:38I mean, he's part of it,
- 4:39but he tells this story about how it's so bizarre.
- 4:43I guess I didn't answer anything you just asked me,
- 4:45but that's funny.
- 4:46No.
- 4:47Well, no, I think you kind of answered it
- 4:50because your reach is, like you mentioned,
- 4:53he's from Canada and your reach is all around the world.
- 4:56What countries do you have clients in right now?
- 4:59Oh my gosh, USA, Canada, Northern Ireland,
- 5:04Republic of Ireland, England, Scotland,
- 5:08Wales, South Africa, Germany,
- 5:15Spain, France.
- 5:20There's too many, sorry for forgetting anybody.
- 5:22Netherlands, there's freaking, I don't know.
- 5:25But a lot of places, yeah, yeah.
- 5:29Weird.
- 5:29That's exciting.
- 5:30And so, I mean, that's something too
- 5:32that makes it so different in 2026
- 5:36than it would have been a personal trainer 20 years ago.
- 5:38Yeah.
- 5:39Like you get to have people all over the world
- 5:42following you.
- 5:42Yeah, I mean, like rewind two years,
- 5:44or even two, three years ago, that's what I did
- 5:46in person, personal training,
- 5:47and you've got a 10 mile radius.
- 5:52Now it's like freaking boom, anywhere.
- 5:55Yeah.
- 5:56Yeah.
- 5:56That's exciting.
- 5:58So when did fitness become more than just exercise for you?
- 6:03When did it become your lifestyle?
- 6:06Probably during university.
- 6:07So I went to uni, like I said, split with what to do,
- 6:10but I thought, let's go.
- 6:12And while I was there, on the third year over here,
- 6:15you do like, it's called a placement year.
- 6:16You go and work for a year.
- 6:18And I didn't know what to do.
- 6:21I saw an advertised post as like a PTI,
- 6:24a physical training instructor
- 6:26with the local police service.
- 6:27And I thought, I'm gonna go for that.
- 6:29Like, never expecting to get it, but I got it.
- 6:32So I went and did it,
- 6:33kind of helped people for a year like that.
- 6:36And then I went back, did my final year.
- 6:38I went straight into like the in-person, personal training.
- 6:43And I was kind of, yeah,
- 6:44during my last year of university,
- 6:46I was getting that all ready to go.
- 6:47And then I just went all in.
- 6:48Didn't have a second job or anything.
- 6:50I just went straight in and yeah.
- 6:53So yeah, I guess during that year, yeah, it was fun.
- 6:58That's awesome.
- 6:59So did you realize right away that like,
- 7:02it was gonna be your purpose to help people do this?
- 7:06I mean, or was it just something you were planning to do
- 7:08until you did something different
- 7:10and then you kind of realized as you did it,
- 7:12hey, this is what I love doing.
- 7:13Like, see, to be honest with you,
- 7:15I don't know what I'm gonna do tomorrow,
- 7:20you know, nevermind in two, three, five, 10, 15 years time.
- 7:23So starting this, I just wing it.
- 7:27And I just like take it as it comes.
- 7:30And I still kind of do that.
- 7:33I mean, I've obviously got things together a bit more now,
- 7:34but it's still like three days.
- 7:36I mean, I only booked this trip to Florida last Saturday
- 7:40and I go tomorrow for four weeks.
- 7:41Like I didn't know that was gonna happen, you know?
- 7:43So, and that kind of feeds into life
- 7:45and work and everything.
- 7:47So I don't know.
- 7:48I didn't ever think too far ahead.
- 7:51I just thought I'm gonna do it and let's see what goes.
- 7:55So when you were doing that, what challenges came up?
- 7:58Did you face anything while building your platform
- 8:01and your business?
- 8:03What was that like?
- 8:03So much, oh my gosh, so much.
- 8:05Like, well, the first thing that I felt
- 8:09was like freaking burnout.
- 8:11Well, I guess the first thing I felt was excitement.
- 8:13You know, whenever you start your own thing
- 8:14and it starts to work, that was fun.
- 8:16But it was the nervousness before that
- 8:18of like putting yourself out there.
- 8:20You know, you kind of feel like a bit of an idiot.
- 8:23I know you probably don't know what that word means,
- 8:25but it's not offensive.
- 8:26You don't need to edit it out.
- 8:27But you kind of feel like an idiot
- 8:28whenever you're, you know, posting yourself
- 8:31as a new fitness trainer and social media
- 8:33and it's like, oh, and then it starts to work.
- 8:37And then you get excited.
- 8:42I guess the first, like, did you ask me barriers?
- 8:45Is that what you said?
- 8:46Yeah, yeah.
- 8:47What challenges you face?
- 8:48Yeah, I guess the first one was putting yourself out there.
- 8:50Like that was a big one.
- 8:53Whereas now, like, I don't give a damn.
- 8:54You know, if you see the type of stuff I post,
- 8:56it's like bloody hell.
- 8:57But at the time that was one.
- 9:00Burnout has hit me once or twice.
- 9:03You know, whenever you're in charge of your schedule
- 9:06and everything, it's easy to say yes to everything, you know?
- 9:12And it's hard to, I guess, separate work
- 9:16from non-work in ways.
- 9:21And there's always more things you can be doing.
- 9:22So trying to manage life and work has been a challenge,
- 9:28even up till now, for sure.
- 9:30But I guess that's probably the main two.
- 9:34That resonates with me.
- 9:35I mean, you know, doing mindset coaching
- 9:38and launching the podcast and writing the book
- 9:42and launching the book and all these things.
- 9:44Before you realize it, you look down
- 9:46and you've realized you've been working seven days a week
- 9:49for 30 days.
- 9:50Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:51And then you're like, wait a second.
- 9:5330 days?
- 9:54More like freaking two years.
- 9:55I know, right?
- 9:56Yeah, yeah.
- 9:57For sure.
- 9:58Exactly.
- 9:59So yeah, I get that.
- 10:00So what did you do?
- 10:01Have you put in boundaries or safeguards
- 10:04to make yourself stop or take a break?
- 10:07Or is this still something you're working on?
- 10:09It's still something I'm working on.
- 10:10I've tried.
- 10:11So whenever I first moved into this house last March,
- 10:14I said, right, the laptop stays in this room.
- 10:18You know, when I'm in this room,
- 10:20this is where I do my work.
- 10:22I leave this room, work's done.
- 10:25That lasted, yeah, it lasted two or three days though.
- 10:28It's a good intention.
- 10:32It's a good intention.
- 10:33Intentions were right.
- 10:35But now it kind of comes with me lots of the time
- 10:37because I think, you know, I could do this or that
- 10:39whenever I have a minute.
- 10:43So it's definitely, yeah, I would say it's my main challenge.
- 10:48Yeah.
- 10:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:49For sure.
- 10:50There's a lot of entrepreneurs,
- 10:52but at least you understand
- 10:54that if you don't slow down, you'll burn out.
- 10:56And so you're doing things,
- 10:58even if the laptop's not always staying in the room,
- 11:00at least you're doing things to keep it healthy.
- 11:04You know, I've had the pleasure
- 11:06of meeting your girlfriend online
- 11:08and, you know, like she's very friendly.
- 11:11I mean, at least you're making time
- 11:13for your significant other and time for your dog
- 11:16and your family life, as well as business.
- 11:19How do you balance that
- 11:21outside of trying to leave the laptop in that room?
- 11:25It's hard, right?
- 11:27Here's the thing.
- 11:28I work from home.
- 11:29I live at home.
- 11:31I work out from home.
- 11:32My girlfriend works for me.
- 11:34So like everything's here, you know?
- 11:39So it's hard to separate.
- 11:42You know, everything's much than the one.
- 11:44It's hard to separate that.
- 11:46So I guess like, I know we've spoke about this before,
- 11:50but scheduled dates and, you know,
- 11:54setting time aside for that is important.
- 11:57And it's easy to look past because you can always,
- 12:01it almost feels unproductive,
- 12:02but because there's no direct return,
- 12:08like that's quantifiable, do you know what I mean?
- 12:11But obviously the return is strengthened
- 12:12and maintained in the relationship, but that's,
- 12:15yeah, I mean, it's definitely,
- 12:18separating work and life is my main struggle,
- 12:22but scheduling dates,
- 12:24even just doing and buying nice things.
- 12:26We've spoke, you know, we've spoke about this before.
- 12:29I find that that, like, okay.
- 12:34I didn't like my car.
- 12:35I saw a car that I liked.
- 12:37I bought the car.
- 12:38And now I'm going on loads of drives and trips
- 12:41that I wouldn't have if I didn't do that
- 12:44because I enjoy the car as part of the process.
- 12:46Do you know what I mean?
- 12:47So things like that, I find help me,
- 12:52help me get out more and separate life
- 12:53and work a bit better.
- 12:56Weird, it's a weird thing, but, oh yeah, I love it.
- 13:00I feel like I was going to totally get the blame
- 13:02if you didn't.
- 13:02Because you were like, yeah, I took your advice.
- 13:04I bought the car.
- 13:05You were like, yeah, yeah.
- 13:06You were a big part of that process, that's for sure.
- 13:09But no, I like it because my last car
- 13:12didn't accelerate very heavy,
- 13:14but this one, if you put the foot down,
- 13:15everyone hits their head.
- 13:17It gives me a wee giggle, yeah.
- 13:19For those that don't know, he bought a Mustang.
- 13:21I did.
- 13:22And if you have a Mustang, don't hate me
- 13:23because it's not a real Mustang.
- 13:25It's an electric one, I understand.
- 13:27I know, but it's still a Mustang.
- 13:29They called it a Mustang.
- 13:29It doesn't look like the old school,
- 13:31but it's got some good acceleration.
- 13:33Yeah, it does, that's for sure.
- 13:35So, I mean, just that one decision
- 13:37has made other areas of your life.
- 13:39And it's so awesome because you talked about
- 13:40how some of these things aren't quantifiable.
- 13:44And it's true, spending time with your significant other
- 13:47isn't always quantifiable in the moment.
- 13:49But from that bigger picture, it's like,
- 13:51wow, this makes life a lot better
- 13:53when I'm in a healthy relationship.
- 13:55Literally.
- 13:56Yeah.
- 13:57Literally, going for one dinner date last week
- 14:02to an Asian place, that made a week's difference.
- 14:07The whole week felt better because we did that.
- 14:10Whereas we could have just sat in on the laptop.
- 14:13Yeah, I do that too with my husband.
- 14:16We try to make sure that we schedule a date night
- 14:20at least a couple of times a month.
- 14:22Because it is very easy to just order in.
- 14:27Make something really quick.
- 14:28Eat as you work.
- 14:29Yeah, exactly.
- 14:31Wait, what did you say?
- 14:32I said, it's easy to just eat as you work.
- 14:34It is, exactly, with the laptops and do it.
- 14:36But actually taking time, setting our phones aside
- 14:39and actually talking to each other
- 14:40is really, really important.
- 14:43So it seems like you're definitely discovering that.
- 14:46Working on it.
- 14:47And you've put down some good boundaries.
- 14:48Exactly.
- 14:49Give me five or 10 years and I'll have it sorted out.
- 14:54You get to try every day.
- 14:55Every day is a whole new day to do it.
- 14:57That's true.
- 14:59So talking about purpose and how this is your purpose,
- 15:04at least in this moment, helping people around the world
- 15:07find and live their healthiest lives physically,
- 15:11do you believe that purpose is discovered
- 15:14or do you believe that it's developed over time?
- 15:16Maybe like both.
- 15:22I guess I didn't actively try and decide that
- 15:27or figure that out.
- 15:28But just by taking steps in that direction
- 15:31has led me to here.
- 15:32Even whenever I started doing fitness coaching,
- 15:38it was anyone and everyone I was happy to work with.
- 15:46But as times went on,
- 15:48that has kind of became more of a niche, I guess.
- 15:53But I didn't push for that niche, but it kind of happened.
- 15:57And then it happened and I'm happy about it.
- 16:03So I guess like both.
- 16:04Do you think there's a part of you that manifested it?
- 16:07Was there something deep down inside that wanted,
- 16:11even if it's not necessarily the specific niche,
- 16:13but just the fact that you have the freedom to travel,
- 16:17the fact that you're doing well financially.
- 16:20Do you think there was something inside of you
- 16:22that was creating a life of financial freedom,
- 16:25time freedom, even location freedom,
- 16:28even if you didn't know exactly what it was?
- 16:30For sure.
- 16:31I have always wanted that since I started this.
- 16:34And I was trapped in,
- 16:36I used to do the in-person training from home.
- 16:39I was trapped in a garage 12 hours a day.
- 16:41And I felt stuck and trapped in a way,
- 16:43even though it was fun and blah, blah, blah.
- 16:46I felt like there's freaking so much life
- 16:47and so much world that I'm in these four walls
- 16:49all day and all, you know.
- 16:52And I thought there's more to life
- 16:53and I'd love to go travel
- 16:54and I'd love to be able to do this and this.
- 16:57And I joined different mentorships
- 16:59and ways to try and help me.
- 17:01But it almost felt like I was trying to force it in ways.
- 17:07And whenever I stopped trying to,
- 17:13like the outcome was the goal,
- 17:15but whenever I stopped trying to reach the outcome
- 17:17and just focused on the inputs,
- 17:20focused on the delivery
- 17:22and focused on having genuine relationships
- 17:24and focused on caring about what I was doing
- 17:26and everything in terms of social media,
- 17:28in terms of presenting myself,
- 17:32then everything started to click, you know.
- 17:35And now I feel like I'm not,
- 17:38like I feel like what I do is genuine.
- 17:41Hopefully you can back me up on that.
- 17:45And that allows everything to flow.
- 17:49You know?
- 17:51I mean, you just said that like a true mindset coach,
- 17:55but you're absolutely right.
- 17:58And yeah, so for those of you who don't know,
- 17:59which I guess you probably don't know
- 18:01because I haven't told you yet,
- 18:02but I am a fitness client of Jordan's.
- 18:04I've been on a fitness journey myself.
- 18:06A lot of you know my story.
- 18:07At one point I was over a hundred pounds heavier
- 18:09and I've been working at trying to live
- 18:11as healthy of a life as I can.
- 18:13And for me, that started the mindset.
- 18:16And as my mindset changed, my identity changed
- 18:19and then everything began to flow.
- 18:21And so finding Jordan to help me
- 18:23in the physical aspect of that has been huge,
- 18:27especially I've had injuries that had nothing to do
- 18:30with my training, literally like, you know,
- 18:32falling and breaking a tailbone,
- 18:34like just a lot of different things.
- 18:36And having that accountability of someone to remind me
- 18:39that everything's going to be okay.
- 18:40You don't have to fly off the wagon.
- 18:42You know, you can still control the controllables,
- 18:45something that Jordan loves to say.
- 18:47But it's so true.
- 18:49The main thing that he reminds me of in our check-ins,
- 18:54no matter what the number is on the scale
- 18:57or no matter how many times I made it to the gym,
- 19:00he reminds me about my identity.
- 19:02It reminds me that I am someone
- 19:04who is getting in better health,
- 19:06that I am someone that's working at changing my life.
- 19:09And I feel like your identity, Jordan,
- 19:11is one of authenticity.
- 19:13And I think that's why you have so many people
- 19:15that come to you because the more
- 19:17that you're just being yourself and being real,
- 19:20the more it just flows, you know?
- 19:23I'm not a fan of the saying, fake it till you make it.
- 19:26I can't stand that saying.
- 19:28But I do love, be it and you'll see it.
- 19:30And you become this authentic coach
- 19:35who helps people no matter where they are.
- 19:37And you're not pretentious.
- 19:39You don't put people down.
- 19:41And because of that, I think that's why
- 19:43your business just grows and flows.
- 19:47Whenever I started this, it's because I enjoyed it.
- 19:51I wanted the freedom.
- 19:52I liked helping people.
- 19:53I knew I could do it properly.
- 19:55And I knew I could get people results.
- 19:57Then I joined this mentorship
- 20:01and they freaking turned me into a salesperson,
- 20:05like a freaking car salesman.
- 20:07And then that built up a lot of anxiety
- 20:11and resentment towards it because they're like,
- 20:13no, this is what you have to do.
- 20:14And I said, I don't like doing that.
- 20:15And they said, well, then we can't help.
- 20:17And I said, okay.
- 20:19And I was doing these anxious,
- 20:24stressful sales calls to try and get people in.
- 20:28And it took a lot of the enjoyment out of it.
- 20:30It made it feel a lot less personal,
- 20:32a lot more transactional.
- 20:33And obviously it is, there is a level of transaction,
- 20:36of course, because it's a service,
- 20:39but it took a lot of the relation out, I felt right away.
- 20:42Because, so I feel like,
- 20:46now I no longer do that.
- 20:47And I'm very transparent upfront.
- 20:50I'm willing to only take it to that stage
- 20:54if people say it sounds good and it's within their range.
- 20:56I feel like that is one thing
- 20:58that a lot of business people would say
- 21:00is a bad move for me.
- 21:01But for me, it allows me to reduce a lot of my stress,
- 21:07which for me makes it a good decision.
- 21:09I feel like it doesn't all need to be,
- 21:12obviously it has to be a good decision.
- 21:15Obviously it has to benefit you financially,
- 21:17but if that becomes your main goal,
- 21:20a lot of times you can lose sight of why you started it,
- 21:23for me at least.
- 21:25Absolutely.
- 21:26Yeah, I think I run into that in mindset coaching too.
- 21:29There's a lot of mindset coaches
- 21:31that believe that if you're not charging a high ticket,
- 21:3420 or $30,000 for six months,
- 21:37that you're not doing a service to someone else.
- 21:39And my whole thing, and from working with you,
- 21:42it helped me decide this too.
- 21:43I wanted to have an option that's accessible for everyone.
- 21:48Because I feel like our purpose,
- 21:50whatever that is that we're sharing,
- 21:53should be something that we can share to everybody.
- 21:55And I mean, that doesn't mean I can do one-on-ones
- 21:57with everybody for $200 a month or anything,
- 22:00but it does mean that I can have an option
- 22:03for a group for that,
- 22:04or even having the book that people can get
- 22:08for less than $20.
- 22:10Having some ways to get what we're teaching out there,
- 22:13and you do it so well through your daily posts on Instagram.
- 22:19And that's giving people an absolute,
- 22:21complete, cost-free way to get real,
- 22:23honest-to-goodness fitness advice,
- 22:25as well as some kind of good humor
- 22:27that goes along with it too.
- 22:28That's true.
- 22:29Maybe I should start charging for them posts, you know?
- 22:31I'm joking.
- 22:33You've heard it here.
- 22:34There's gonna be a Patreon.
- 22:36There's gonna be a,
- 22:38well, the jokes that I tell are quite average,
- 22:41a higher, a paid version with some good jokes.
- 22:46For like better jokes?
- 22:46Yeah, yeah.
- 22:48That's right.
- 22:50That's a great plan.
- 22:52That's, it's like the opposite of OnlyFans.
- 22:55It's like instead,
- 22:56it's not that you're gonna show more skin for more money.
- 22:59You're just gonna tell better jokes for more money.
- 23:00Yeah, Only Jokes.
- 23:02That's the new business plan. Only Jokes.
- 23:03That's perfect.
- 23:04Only Jokes. There we go.
- 23:05You heard it here first, folks.
- 23:07Hmm.
- 23:08So what mindset patterns do you think people get into
- 23:12that hold them back?
- 23:13Because even though you don't do mindset coaching,
- 23:15you see mindset patterns all the time
- 23:18through your fitness coaching, I'm sure.
- 23:20Yeah, the main one is start.
- 23:22Is that a?
- 23:23Yeah.
- 23:24Yeah, is that a fair answer?
- 23:27Because with fitness coaching,
- 23:28it's goal-oriented, obviously, right?
- 23:32Oriented, orientated, whatever.
- 23:33And it's here you are now,
- 23:35here's the goal, and getting them there.
- 23:37But most people are here and have never been here.
- 23:42You know?
- 23:43And because they've never been somewhere you don't know,
- 23:47you almost don't believe it, in a way.
- 23:51So a lot of people will have doubt of,
- 23:54can that actually happen to me?
- 23:56Or, you know, I haven't had abs since,
- 23:58or I've never had abs, so I don't, you know.
- 24:00Things like this.
- 24:01Self-doubt is the big one, for sure.
- 24:05I think that's true.
- 24:07So would you say that's the main reason
- 24:09that people struggle to stay consistent?
- 24:11Or is there another reason with consistency, too?
- 24:14I think that's a big one.
- 24:16Because that can, I think it's a big one
- 24:19because you're doubting from the get-go, you know?
- 24:22It doesn't matter, like, sometimes what you even say,
- 24:26they still won't believe it until they start to see it.
- 24:29And then whenever they start to see it,
- 24:30then, oh, wow, you know, things pick up.
- 24:32But I would say that's the main problem
- 24:34with consistency, though,
- 24:35because people don't see the vision,
- 24:39which leads to, oh, I can't be bothered
- 24:41doing this gym session, or I can't be bothered
- 24:44eating this or doing this, because it doesn't matter,
- 24:47because it's not gonna work anyway.
- 24:49And then before you know it, they give up.
- 24:52That's so powerful, too.
- 24:54I mean, as someone who's, like,
- 24:55literally struggled my whole life with weight,
- 25:00like, just getting, I remember when I finally got to 245.
- 25:04That was my big first goal,
- 25:06because I had been weighing, like,
- 25:08I weighed 350 pounds, and it fluctuated
- 25:11between 320 and 350 for so many years.
- 25:14And getting under 300 and staying there was huge.
- 25:17And then every time I would hit a milestone,
- 25:19and then finally being at, like, 245,
- 25:22and feeling like, oh, my God, I actually did this.
- 25:26And now, you know, I'm trying to lose another 20 pounds
- 25:28while I'm gaining more muscle and all of that.
- 25:30But for someone who had never accomplished it before,
- 25:35it is true.
- 25:35I had to start thinking, what will I feel like
- 25:39when I hit that goal?
- 25:41And once I could feel it in my mind,
- 25:43then I could actually be like, it is possible.
- 25:45It is possible, it is possible.
- 25:47But, I mean, you haven't always looked the way you look.
- 25:50I mean, you may have always been athletic,
- 25:52but, I mean, you know, like, we all have different goals
- 25:54that we're trying to get to.
- 25:56But if someone is like me, and they look at someone
- 25:59who is, you know, 8% body fat or something,
- 26:02they probably think, well, no, I could never look like that.
- 26:05But it's not about trying to look like someone else.
- 26:07It's about trying to live
- 26:09the healthiest version of yourself.

- 27:19And now, let's get back to this podcast.
- 27:22Yeah, and then every time,
- 27:24whenever you have a script and you track the progress,
- 27:27and each week you just wanna be a bit better than last week,
- 27:31the repetition of that, you know,
- 27:33eventually will get you there.
- 27:36Obviously it takes some tweaks and adjustments
- 27:38along the way, but yeah,
- 27:39I feel like one thing people don't have is,
- 27:42is tracking progress.
- 27:43You know, they look in the mirror and they don't change
- 27:46because they saw themselves in the mirror yesterday
- 27:48and the day before that, and the day before that,
- 27:49and the day before that.
- 27:50So you're not, you know,
- 27:51it'd be different whenever you get a haircut.
- 27:54It's a big change really fast.
- 27:56Whereas with fitness, slow,
- 27:59but the time passes either way, you know?
- 28:01So if you have a script that works,
- 28:04you're tracking your progress
- 28:05and you know what the goals are
- 28:07and you know what's gonna get you there,
- 28:09that's the best thing.
- 28:11I love what you said, time passes either way.
- 28:14It's like that old saying, choose your heart.
- 28:17Yeah, exactly.
- 28:17It's hard to get a shape, but it's hard not to, you know?
- 28:20Yeah, and so many people be like,
- 28:21ah, you know, a big thing people ask me at the start,
- 28:25how long is this gonna take?
- 28:29I have no idea.
- 28:30I'm like, it depends.
- 28:31The rest of your life.
- 28:33It's good, that's a good answer.
- 28:34It's like, it depends because it's where you are now,
- 28:37it's where you want to get to
- 28:38and it's how well you implement, you know?
- 28:39And I say to people,
- 28:41it could take three, six, 12 months, whatever.
- 28:43Ah, too long, forget it.
- 28:4412 months time, they could have been there,
- 28:46but they're still where they were, you know?
- 28:51That's a problem.
- 28:52That's where it comes into the goals changing.
- 28:54So instead of a goal of, I wanna lose 20 pounds
- 28:58or I want to gain this amount of muscle or whatever,
- 29:02the goal should become, I want to be the identity
- 29:05of someone who is living a healthy life, you know?
- 29:08And then all of those other things
- 29:10become a by-product of it, you know?
- 29:13It all becomes an identity.
- 29:14And I would say one thing people,
- 29:16also a problem people have,
- 29:18going back to what we were talking about a minute ago
- 29:20with the consistency problem
- 29:22is that they will wanna lose 100 pounds or whatever, right?
- 29:27And that's a freaking mountain
- 29:29if you look at it from the bottom, you know?
- 29:32But this might sound silly,
- 29:34but all you're doing is if you lose one pound
- 29:38and then do that 100 times
- 29:41or you lose two pounds and do it 50 times, you know?
- 29:42Like if you say lose 100 pounds, people go,
- 29:44oof, if you say lose two pounds, that's easy.
- 29:47And do it again and then again and then again.
- 29:50And then before you know it, you know?
- 29:51Just lose two pounds 50 times.
- 29:53Yeah, but that sounds hard.
- 29:56But then you know that's what it is, right?
- 29:59Yeah.
- 29:59Or five pounds 20 times, whatever.
- 30:01But yeah, that is what it is.
- 30:03You know?
- 30:04So what do you think the difference is
- 30:06between like motivation and discipline?
- 30:09Oh, wow.
- 30:10What a question.
- 30:11I know, I brought some good questions today, man.
- 30:13What a question.
- 30:14Yes, motivation is good.
- 30:18And I try and keep people motivated
- 30:21and tracking people's progress
- 30:22and showing them each week
- 30:24that they're better than they were last week
- 30:26provides motivation, right?
- 30:27But I could be lying,
- 30:28like I was freaking lying downstairs last week
- 30:31watching a movie and I was on my phone scrolling
- 30:36scrolling and I see this person that I know
- 30:41and they look amazing, you know?
- 30:44And I thought, whoa, they freaking look really good.
- 30:49Turned the TV off, went upstairs and did a workout.
- 30:53So that was a quick burst of motivation.
- 30:54But you know, so like, I guess that was,
- 30:58I don't actually know what that was.
- 31:00Discipline is good because you have a plan
- 31:06and regardless if you want to do it or not, you do it.
- 31:09You see the results.
- 31:09But motivation, if you rely too heavily on that,
- 31:12I feel like, you know, it comes and goes so easy.
- 31:14Like I got a burst of motivation watching the movie.
- 31:18And if I didn't do anything 30 minutes later,
- 31:21I could have been laying, eating popcorn, you know?
- 31:25Well, and that just shows motivation
- 31:26can come from different areas too.
- 31:28But yeah, so discipline is what you do
- 31:30when you don't feel like doing it, basically.
- 31:33Is that it?
- 31:33You do it because it's the commitment
- 31:35you've made to yourself.
- 31:37Like, we break promises to ourselves
- 31:40that we would never break to other people.
- 31:42Yes, we do.
- 31:45I'm not one for quotes or nothing,
- 31:47but I do like when it's follow the plan, not the mood.
- 31:51Like it.
- 31:53Yeah.
- 31:54You know, it's easy to do the opposite.
- 31:57I know I've seen that probably on a cereal box or something.
- 32:00Yeah, there's another similar one
- 32:03that just says work the damn plan.
- 32:05I'm like.
- 32:06That's true.
- 32:07Just do it, you know, it's yeah.
- 32:09Have you ever had times in your life
- 32:11where you struggle with like, with motivation or?
- 32:14Oh, for sure.
- 32:16Absolutely.
- 32:18A couple of, this is silly, right?
- 32:21But two things that I do that helps me stay disciplined.
- 32:24Number one, I say on my Instagram videos,
- 32:27at the end, follow me for tips to help you get in shape
- 32:29because I post them every day.
- 32:31It gives me a commitment, a public commitment
- 32:34that if you follow me, you will see posts every day.
- 32:36Now it's not, sometimes it's helpful stories,
- 32:40but probably out of 365 days a year, I'll post 340, you know.
- 32:45Another thing I do,
- 32:47all my communications with clients is done on WhatsApp.
- 32:50And whenever you're getting lots of messages,
- 32:52it's easy to take a long time to respond.
- 32:57I like to be responsive.
- 32:59I know like people have, you know,
- 33:01these are my messaging hours.
- 33:03My thing is, if you message me,
- 33:06I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
- 33:08To keep me accountable and in check with my discipline,
- 33:13not so much motivation,
- 33:14because that's, well, call it what you want.
- 33:17I keep my last active visible to everybody.
- 33:20And if I turned that off,
- 33:21I could probably slip into like a, you know,
- 33:24a lazier, longer to respond time,
- 33:28oh, he was online, you know, why is he not replying?
- 33:31So I do try and keep snappy with my replies.
- 33:34Now there is times whenever I purposefully won't go
- 33:37on WhatsApp for hours so people know that I'm offline,
- 33:40but yeah, I keep that on to keep me accountable there.
- 33:43I love that.
- 33:44Two simple things, you know, but it helps me.
- 33:46Yeah, so that helps with discipline.
- 33:48Well, and like mentioning Instagram.
- 33:51So how many Instagram followers do you have now about?
- 33:5582,000.
- 33:5682,000, that's awesome.
- 33:58And I love it.
- 33:59So how many of those did you buy?
- 34:01Like you bought 50,000?
- 34:02No, I'm just kidding.
- 34:0381,000.
- 34:0681,999, I'm your only real follower on Instagram.
- 34:08No, I've got a thousand.
- 34:09We have big families out here in this part of the world.
- 34:12So a thousand family members and then 81,000 bots.
- 34:16Gotcha.
- 34:18Yeah, no, I love that.
- 34:19Yeah, I really believe that what's made you so popular
- 34:25on Instagram is your authenticity.
- 34:28We've talked about that, but it is the fact
- 34:30that you're not just giving fitness advice.
- 34:34You're also being kind of funny.
- 34:36You'll be self-deprecating.
- 34:37If you tell a joke that you don't particularly love,
- 34:40you're like, that wasn't a very good joke.
- 34:42You know what I mean?
- 34:42You're just doing that.
- 34:44Why is that important to you?
- 34:45Did you recognize that that was gonna be your niche
- 34:48of actually being a real person or what was that?
- 34:51Did it just happen?
- 34:52It just happened.
- 34:53So I mean, as content creators,
- 34:56you take ideas from other people.
- 34:58And a couple of my friends are not friend,
- 35:03but what's the other word?
- 35:05What am I trying to say?
- 35:06Not like, anyways, a couple of people, right.
- 35:09Not colleagues, but like people I know.
- 35:13Anyways, forget about that.
- 35:15I seen people doing like different styles of videos
- 35:17and I thought that could work.
- 35:20And then I tried it.
- 35:21And the first time I did that type of sarcastic style,
- 35:24silly jokes video, it just boom,
- 35:28just hit all of my videos before that were kind of dead.
- 35:31And this one hit.
- 35:32So I thought, ooh, I could be onto something here.
- 35:35And I kept going with it.
- 35:37And then I introduced my twin,
- 35:38who some people think is legit my twin.
- 35:42And then that hit, you know?
- 35:44So I've tweaked it as I've went with it.
- 35:48Okay, so your twin.
- 35:51Now, am I right in thinking that your twin represents
- 35:54like some of the cringier type of followers that you get?
- 35:57Yeah, that's right, that's right.
- 35:59For sure.
- 36:00Yeah, cause some of the, you see my comments
- 36:01and I mean, you don't see my DMs,
- 36:03but comments, people are willing to say in public.
- 36:06So you can imagine what the DMs can be like.
- 36:09Exactly, yeah.
- 36:10So I get that, but not to the same extent,
- 36:13but I understand.
- 36:14Oh my gosh, it's ridiculous.
- 36:15So yeah, so I kind of just brought it to life in a person
- 36:17and it's silly, it's funny, it's fun.
- 36:21It is fun.
- 36:21And people enjoy it, you know?
- 36:23Yeah.
- 36:23So what do you think you've learned about people
- 36:26through Instagram?
- 36:27Like, have you learned through just about people in general?
- 36:32I've learned there's many, oh my gosh.
- 36:36I've learned that there's many different types of people.
- 36:40I've learned that people like many different types of things.
- 36:44I've heard that, I've learned that if worst came to worst,
- 36:49I could probably become a millionaire selling feet pics.
- 36:54I was gonna ask you if that's true.
- 36:56Is that true?
- 36:57I can, if anyone sees this,
- 36:59who knows about the feet situation,
- 37:04I have never benefited or profited from my feet.
- 37:08Make that clear.
- 37:09Yeah.
- 37:09Okay.
- 37:11But yeah, absolutely, that's for sure real.
- 37:13If you want some pics though,
- 37:15there's a link in the comments and the show notes
- 37:17and you know.
- 37:18That's right.
- 37:20That's right.
- 37:21For his only feet page.
- 37:22Only feet.
- 37:23Yeah.
- 37:24So I have a good friend of mine who's also,
- 37:26he's an influencer and he and his partner
- 37:29post really funny things.
- 37:31His name's tall freak on Instagram.
- 37:33But he's really tall.
- 37:34Yeah.
- 37:35And he's six four.
- 37:36Well, he has like a size 15 shoe
- 37:38and he gets people asking him to buy his shoes all the time.
- 37:42Yeah.
- 37:43And he's like, if I would just do it,
- 37:45I could be so wealthy,
- 37:46but I just can't in good conscience sell them my shoes.
- 37:48It's crazy.
- 37:49Yeah.
- 37:50People ask for shoes, socks, everything.
- 37:52Everything.
- 37:53Worn, worn, not clean.
- 37:56You know what I say?
- 37:58I can tell you where I got these shoes from.
- 38:01You can go and buy a pair.
- 38:02But no, they weren't the used ones.
- 38:05Exactly.
- 38:06I've never done that on anyone.
- 38:07Okay.
- 38:08No, I believe you because I know you well, but yeah.
- 38:11I'm sure there's a price though.
- 38:12I'm just kidding.
- 38:15I haven't got offered it yet.
- 38:18Exactly.
- 38:19So what has been one of the funniest
- 38:21or most unexpected moments
- 38:23from just being on social media content journey in general?
- 38:27Is there anything that stands out that is,
- 38:30you know, PG 13 or better?
- 38:33Ooh, probe, probe me more, probe me more.
- 38:36Yeah.
- 38:37So, I mean, anything, any funny experience maybe
- 38:40that you've had with, yeah.
- 38:42So.
- 38:43A request or a video.
- 38:45Well, do you know what's funny?
- 38:46Whenever it turns into real life,
- 38:49as in, let me expand on that.
- 38:52So, Northern Ireland's a small place.
- 38:55If, you know, if you do anything out of the normal
- 38:57over here, social media or whatever,
- 38:59people quickly learn that and, you know,
- 39:01so it's normal if you're out and about
- 39:03and somebody knows you who you don't know
- 39:06because they see you.
- 39:07But whenever that happens in like freaking New York City
- 39:09or, you know, New Jersey or,
- 39:14in London, you know, whatever people come up to you
- 39:16like, you know, you're freaking,
- 39:18are you Jordan?
- 39:19You know, these random ass people who like know you
- 39:22because they see what you post and I post,
- 39:26you know, you share so much of your life,
- 39:28people feel like they know you before you've said hello to.
- 39:32That's weird.
- 39:33Yeah.
- 39:34That's weird.
- 39:35I was on a train.
- 39:36It takes getting used to.
- 39:37Yeah, we were on a train with Leigh actually
- 39:38last summer in New York and we were in this carriage
- 39:42and this was a client retreat I was on
- 39:44and we were in New Jersey
- 39:46and then we went into New York City
- 39:47and we were sat on this train,
- 39:48Cartage or whatever you call it
- 39:50and there was five or six of us sitting
- 39:52and then I looked over like this
- 39:53and the guy who was just sitting directly
- 39:55was like looking at me and I thought, oh no.
- 39:58And he said, are you Jordan?
- 40:00Ha, and I was like, yes.
- 40:03And he pulled out his phone and he was following me
- 40:04and he's talking about my videos.
- 40:06So that like, that's weird.
- 40:07Yeah.
- 40:08Weird.
- 40:09I think that takes some getting used to, you know?
- 40:13Like I'm like you, it's happened a couple of times
- 40:16locally at the gym or something
- 40:18but when I was in Los Angeles at the Hollywood YMCA,
- 40:22the girl working the thing recognized me
- 40:24and she was like, hey, you're the guy
- 40:26that posts from his lake, which is what people say
- 40:29because a lot of my videos were from my lake
- 40:31and I'm in Los Angeles and I'm just like, what?
- 40:35So weird.
- 40:36She's like, oh yeah, I love your stuff
- 40:37and has to show me.
- 40:38Yeah, it's a different experience
- 40:43when you start getting recognized
- 40:44but it also, in a way, it shows that
- 40:46you're doing the right thing, you know?
- 40:49Because at least he's not recognizing you
- 40:51and be like, oh, you're Jordan.
- 40:52You're that guy I can't stand, you know?
- 40:55Yeah, exactly.
- 40:56That's happened like one,
- 40:56that has happened as well one time though.
- 40:59But that was okay.
- 41:00That was a story for a private conversation between us.
- 41:03Okay, I'll be sure to hear that.
- 41:05I'll post that synopsis in the show notes too then.
- 41:09Yes, you can put that in the comments.
- 41:11But yeah, I mean, at least people are saying,
- 41:13hey, you're Jordan and hopefully we enjoy watching you
- 41:17because you make me laugh
- 41:18or you give me good fitness advice or whatever.
- 41:20Yeah, for whatever reason,
- 41:22I tend to steer clear from the heat.
- 41:24Like I very rarely would get heated on, which is weird.
- 41:27You know?
- 41:28Yeah.
- 41:29I mean, don't start hitting on me now, everyone, please.
- 41:30But yeah, I mean, it's nice, but it's weird.
- 41:33So is there any, not hot take,
- 41:36I don't want you to start getting heat,
- 41:39but is there anything that you would share
- 41:41that is a genuine value that you hold
- 41:43that maybe you haven't necessarily put out there
- 41:47on social media yet?
- 41:47Is there something that you believe
- 41:49is a really important value
- 41:50that all people should hold to?
- 41:54Important value?
- 41:56Nothing immediately spring into mind, you know?
- 41:59So moving on to something more practical
- 42:02for people who may see this,
- 42:03maybe they're not familiar with your content.
- 42:07What are two to three simple habits
- 42:09that someone can start today
- 42:12that would radically improve their health?
- 42:14Okay, two to three habits.
- 42:17Let me pick the best ones.
- 42:19Yeah.
- 42:20Number one, this is not so much,
- 42:22I don't know if you would call this a habit.
- 42:23You can correct me if this is wrong,
- 42:25but I would say have a clear why behind your goals, right?
- 42:33A lot of people want to get in shape,
- 42:35but I say why?
- 42:35And they say, because it's not strong enough, you know?
- 42:39Because there is like a fitness journey.
- 42:42No, it's not the hardest thing in the world.
- 42:44You're not going to war,
- 42:45but it has challenges.
- 42:46It has, like we've talked about motivation dips.
- 42:48If you don't have a strong reason
- 42:49why you're actually trying to do it,
- 42:52boom, forget about it, you know?
- 42:54So I think having an actual reason
- 42:57for why you want to get in shape, you know,
- 42:58is it I want to live a longer life?
- 43:00Is it I want to be pain-free?
- 43:01Is it I want to see my kids grow up
- 43:05and I want to be able to play with them?
- 43:07Or is it I've never looked how I want to,
- 43:10and there's only, we only have one shot, you know?
- 43:13Something, not just I want to get in,
- 43:15I just want to, you know,
- 43:18it needs to have some purpose behind it.
- 43:20And then having support that big reason
- 43:23with actual ways to get there,
- 43:26that's a big thing.
- 43:28But also just, if you're starting from scratch,
- 43:31it needs to be, I tell people that you should try,
- 43:35even if your habits are disastrous,
- 43:37you should try and keep them similar,
- 43:40but more gearing towards your goal, you know?
- 43:44So you don't have to,
- 43:45it doesn't have to be drastic changes.
- 43:46You don't have to go from a couch potato
- 43:48to six gym sessions a week.
- 43:51If you're a total couch potato,
- 43:55keep that time in in the evenings, you know,
- 43:57allow yourself to do that.
- 43:58Introduce a little step goal,
- 44:00introduce some working out,
- 44:02and then as you get more into it,
- 44:04then you can start to titter things up a bit, you know?
- 44:06A lot of people just go from here to here, boom,
- 44:09last two, three weeks, and then they cut it.
- 44:11So I would keep your habits similar,
- 44:13just make them more towards your goal,
- 44:15and have a strong why of why you want to get there.
- 44:19I like that.
- 44:20I don't know if that's habit, like, you know,
- 44:22I don't know if that answered your question,
- 44:23but that's the advice I would give.
- 44:26Well, I think it did.
- 44:27The habit could be constantly touching base with your why,
- 44:30you know?
- 44:31Yeah, yeah.
- 44:32And I think that's very important
- 44:35in everything in your life.
- 44:36I mean, why are we doing anything, you know?
- 44:38What is that goal?
- 44:39What is the reason?
- 44:41Is it for our family?
- 44:42Is it for longevity?
- 44:43Is it to leave a mark or a greatness on the world?
- 44:46You know, what is that why?
- 44:48And fitness is certainly a huge part of that, you know?
- 44:52And fitness also plays a lot into mindset,
- 44:56you know, I do, I've told you about this before,
- 44:58but I do a visualization meditation
- 45:01while I'm on the elliptical machine.
- 45:04You know, there's something about that dopamine rush
- 45:06while I'm also, you know, visualizing my goal achieved life,
- 45:10you know, whether that's speaking or hosting the podcast
- 45:12or coaching people, whatever that is,
- 45:15and I'm visualizing it, it just makes it even more real
- 45:18when I've got that dopamine going with it as well.
- 45:21I like it.
- 45:22How has transforming people's lives changed your own life?
- 45:27It's funny because everyone's so different, you know?
- 45:34And everyone's transformations totally,
- 45:39some people wanna look good and they look good
- 45:42and that's it.
- 45:43Other people is they're grieving loss,
- 45:47you know, they've lost a partner
- 45:48or they've lost a loved one, whatever.
- 45:52And they wanna channel their energy into themselves
- 45:55and that's awesome.
- 45:57You know, so it's actually just seeing people change
- 46:00is awesome for me.
- 46:02You know, I wouldn't like, again, it's not quantifiable
- 46:05that by this happening, this has happened to me,
- 46:08but just watching that happen is really rewarding, you know?
- 46:13In a more, this has changed my life
- 46:16because of this is pretty much wherever I go in the world,
- 46:20there's people who I know, you know,
- 46:23or who I can hang out with or stay with even.
- 46:27So in a real world sense, that's been pretty cool,
- 46:31you know, and I get to learn a lot of different ways
- 46:32of life and cultures and yeah,
- 46:36so just watching people change
- 46:38and the transition and the journey is rewarding.
- 46:41That's awesome.
- 46:42And then getting to live life like they do at times
- 46:45is, yeah.
- 46:47What legacy are you hoping to leave?
- 46:50Oh, hmm, in general?
- 46:54On the fitness world, for my family, what way?
- 46:57In general, just the impact or legacy,
- 47:00the greatness that you want to leave this world.
- 47:04I would like to be, I would like to help
- 47:06as many people as I can without feeding any bullshit
- 47:12to anybody.
- 47:13I'd like to be known as someone who genuinely cares
- 47:16and helps and be a dog person.
- 47:22You are a dog person, that's awesome.
- 47:25I want to be known as a dog person.
- 47:28So I feel like we should put a picture
- 47:32of your dog up right now.
- 47:34So send me a picture of your dog, we'll put it,
- 47:37we'll put her up right there.
- 47:38Remind us of your dog's name.
- 47:40Millie.
- 47:41Millie, that's right.
- 47:42Allie is your girlfriend, Millie is the dog.
- 47:44Because I grew up with two dogs,
- 47:46one was called Molly and one was called Tilly.
- 47:48Oh, so you've got Millie.
- 47:51Brilliant.
- 47:53There's the one.
- 47:54Last question for you, Jordan.
- 47:56What is one truth about purpose
- 47:59that you think most people are missing?
- 48:01Wow, John, you're killing me here.
- 48:04All right, give me a sec to prep for this one.
- 48:06One truth about purpose, okay.
- 48:08Right, repeat the question.
- 48:11What is one truth about purpose
- 48:14that you think most people are missing?
- 48:17Well, I feel like I can't answer this for most people,
- 48:20but I can answer it for a previous version of me.
- 48:25And the thing that was getting in the way of me
- 48:29and my purpose, like we were talking about,
- 48:31was not staying true to myself.
- 48:35My purpose being a fitness coach in this conversation,
- 48:39helping people, the wow,
- 48:42look how much money I can make doing this
- 48:44if I charge people this amount.
- 48:46That then became my purpose,
- 48:48how much money can I make this month?
- 48:54And then my purpose then became
- 48:57making as much money as possible
- 48:59rather than my purpose is to help people.
- 49:02If I do this properly,
- 49:04I will benefit from that in that way anyway.
- 49:08So I guess for me, that was external pressure
- 49:12from the people that were helping me though.
- 49:14Mm-hmm, yeah.
- 49:16Yeah, it sounds like you had some people in your ear
- 49:19that were pushing you toward
- 49:21a typical high-ticket sales funnel and-
- 49:24And you know what?
- 49:25That's exactly what- It didn't resonate.
- 49:25Their job was, and that's exactly what I signed up for.
- 49:28So no hate on them for that,
- 49:29but yeah, exactly for me, it didn't resonate.
- 49:31A lot of times we don't know
- 49:33that something doesn't resonate until we try to apply it.
- 49:36That's right.
- 49:37You know?
- 49:37That's right.
- 49:38So kudos to you for realizing that's not who you are
- 49:40and taking a different path.
- 49:42I appreciate it.
- 49:44I think that's awesome.
- 49:45What stands out for me in this conversation
- 49:48is the authenticity to take the path less traveled.
- 49:52It is how you live health as an identity,
- 49:57the importance of discipline over motivation,
- 50:00and how you truly do live purpose through your service.
- 50:04You know, it's not about how much money can you make.
- 50:09It's not about trying to just charge a high ticket.
- 50:12It's about how many lives can you change.
- 50:14And I think that's fantastic, man.
- 50:18So Jordan, if people want to find you on social media,
- 50:21what is your handle, sir?
- 50:23At George Wills, J-O-R-D-S-W-I-L-S, 1L.
- 50:28Awesome.
- 50:29And that's on Instagram.
- 50:30And are you verified?
- 50:32Do you have the blue check mark?
- 50:33You better do.
- 50:34Go check it out.
- 50:35Awesome.
- 50:36Just make sure they don't follow the wrong person.
- 50:38Yes, don't follow the wrong one.
- 50:41Exactly.
- 50:42Awesome.
- 50:42So Jordan, I sure appreciate you being here today
- 50:45and never stop living your own revolution of purpose,
- 50:48Jordan.
- 50:49I will not.
- 50:50Appreciate being here.
- 50:51Hey, and from a personal note,
- 50:53thank you for the way that you have helped me
- 50:55with my own fitness journey
- 50:57and the way that you're helping all of your clients.
- 51:00We will keep going.
- 51:01Appreciate it.
- 51:02All right.
- 51:03Thanks, Jordan.
