- 0:00They called him Kronos, the devourer of his own children,
- 0:04the God who ruled before the gods, the bringer of time and
- 0:09the end of it. Long before Jupiter, long before
- 0:13the Sky Father claimed the throne, Saturn reigned, and to
- 0:17the ancients he was not a distant planet.
- 0:20He was the black Sun that once ruled the heavens, a God of
- 0:23shadow, of cycles, and of sacrifice.
- 0:27Across the world his name changed, El Baal Enlil Moloch,
- 0:34but the essence was the same. The old king who would not die.
- 0:39Even now, his symbol endures. The black cube, the hexagon
- 0:43storm, the scythe of time that cuts all things down.
- 0:48Some say Saturn was never a planet at all, that he was a
- 0:51throne, a seat of power for those who came before humanity,
- 0:55the ones the Sumerians called the Annunaki.
- 0:59And if that's true, then the cult of Saturn never ended.
- 1:04It only learned how to hide in plain sight.
- 1:35Close in, wrapped in a soft blanket of haze, Saturn is
- 1:40incredibly beautiful. The sheer size of Saturn is
- 1:44difficult for beings from Earth to comprehend, for Saturn is
- 1:48truly gigantic. More than 650 Earths could fit
- 1:53into the volume of the planet. But Saturn, unlike Earth, is
- 1:57made not from rock but from gas. As this computer enhanced image
- 2:02shows, Saturn is distinctly Oval.
- 2:05The planet is flattened by the speed with which it spins.
- 2:08A Saturnian day is only 10 hours long.
- 2:12Underneath a turbulent atmosphere is an immensely deep
- 2:15ocean of liquid hydrogen. Deep down it is so compressed
- 2:19that it behaves like a liquid metal.
- 2:23And at the very center is a rocky core, a solid planet
- 2:27rather larger than the Earth but enveloped in an ocean of liquid
- 2:30gas more than 30,000 miles deep. Saturn's atmosphere is blanketed
- 2:41in a thick layer of smog. The first problem the team
- 2:44needed to solve was how to construct the complicated
- 2:48computer programs that would reveal the detail underneath.
- 2:54They succeeded and computer enhanced.
- 2:57A previously unseen Saturn emerged from underneath the
- 3:00haze. The atmosphere is a turbulent
- 3:03place. It is patterned with spots and
- 3:06vortices trailing for 10s of thousands of miles.
- 3:13These are the tops of storm clouds racing across the
- 3:17Saturnian sky. The Equatorial winds blow at up
- 3:20to 1000 mph. Girdling the planet are the
- 3:27rings 38,000 miles across. The names for Saturn's rings
- 3:32were worked out long before any spacecraft got there.
- 3:36They are based on the two most noticeable divisions in the
- 3:39rings, the Cassini division and the boundary with the inner
- 3:43diffuse crepe ring. So in the interest of
- 3:46simplicity, the rings were called AB and C for crepe ring.
- 3:56But as the resolution has improved on the rings, the
- 3:59naming has had to be extended and has become absurdly
- 4:02complicated. Everything inside the C ring is
- 4:06the D ring. The very diffuse material
- 4:10outside the A ring that is invisible from Earth is the E or
- 4:15extended ring. Well, the very small thin ring
- 4:20outside the A ring but inside the E ring became the F ring.
- 4:27But even this complicated scheme underestimates the sheer
- 4:30complexity of Saturn's rings. This actual Voyager image has
- 4:35been computer enhanced to reveal all the detail in the rings.
- 4:40The structure is enormously complicated.
- 4:43The rings are so full of detail that they have been compared to
- 4:46a gigantic phonograph record composed of billions of small,
- 4:52independently orbiting chunks of ice.
- 4:54The entire ring system is almost 40,000 miles across and
- 4:59surprisingly less than a mile thick.
- 5:05Formed with Saturn more than 4000 million years ago, the
- 5:09rings are a window into that ancient time when the solar
- 5:13system was born. Over eons, some process seems to
- 5:18have steadily marshalled the myriad swarms of billions upon
- 5:22billions of boulders of ice into the structure the rings now
- 5:26have. In nearly every culture that
- 5:30left its mark on history, there is a memory of a world that came
- 5:33before this one, a time of peace, abundance, and divine
- 5:38order, what the Greeks called the Golden Age.
- 5:43Among the oldest surviving myths of the Western world is the
- 5:46story of the Titan Kronos, the ruler of time, known to the
- 5:50Romans as Saturnus. He was the ruler of the Golden
- 5:54Age, a time when the earth produced freely and humankind
- 5:58lived without labor or want. There was no need for kings,
- 6:02laws, or weapons. It was an era of balance, the
- 6:06universe in perfect order. But time is a circle, not a
- 6:09line, and every circle contains its own ending.
- 6:13And Kronos was no gentle patriarch.
- 6:15His very name from the Greek Kronos, means time, and time, no
- 6:20matter how divine, consumes everything it creates.
- 6:24As the myth unfolds, Kronos begins to devour his own
- 6:27children, fearing A prophecy that one of them would overthrow
- 6:30him. This idea, the devourer of his
- 6:34offspring, was not about cannibalism.
- 6:37It was about the nature of time itself.
- 6:40Each generation, each creation, each civilization eventually
- 6:45falls back into the jaws of the cycle that produced it.
- 6:48When the Romans inherited this story, they reimagined Kronos as
- 6:52Saturnus, a God of sewing, and harvest.
- 6:56His scythe, once the weapon used to overthrow his father Uranus,
- 7:00became the farmer's sickle, the instrument of the seasons.
- 7:05Every winter, when the fields died and the light faded, the
- 7:08Romans celebrated Saturnalia, a festival of reversal and
- 7:12renewal. Slaves dined as masters.
- 7:15Masters served as slaves. For one week, the world turned
- 7:19upside down, echoing that ancient shift from the Golden
- 7:22Age to the Age of men. Yet the pattern is not confined
- 7:26to Greece and Rome. Thousands of years earlier, in
- 7:30the river valleys of Sumer and Akkad, we find the same cosmic
- 7:35hierarchy, a ruling Father God displaced by his descendants.
- 7:41In these stories, Anu, the Lord of the heavens, was succeeded by
- 7:46Enlil, who became the administrator of Earth and the
- 7:49Firmament. Enlil's own reign would one day
- 7:53give way to the younger, more sympathetic Enki, master of
- 7:57wisdom and creation. The succession of divine
- 8:00generations mirrors the succession of ages, each ruled
- 8:03by a more distant, more human like deity.
- 8:07The pattern is striking. An elder God presides over
- 8:10paradise. His rule ends abruptly, a
- 8:14younger order takes his place, and the age of peace becomes the
- 8:18age of Labor. It is possible the Greeks
- 8:21inherited these patterns indirectly through the Near
- 8:23East. The image of the scythe wielding
- 8:26sky Father. The fall from paradise.
- 8:29The rebellion of sons against fathers.
- 8:33These are Mesopotamian before they were ever Hellenic.
- 8:37In esoteric philosophy, the archetype of Saturn takes on an
- 8:41even deeper meaning to the alchemists.
- 8:44Saturn's metal was lead, heavy, dull and resistant to change.
- 8:49Yet lead was also the starting point of transformation, the
- 8:53base matter that could, through understanding, become gold.
- 8:57In the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, Saturn corresponds to the third
- 9:00sephira Bina understanding. Here Saturn is the architect of
- 9:06limitation, the force that gives form to chaos.
- 9:10Without limitation, creation cannot exist.
- 9:13Without time, nothing can evolve.
- 9:17To the ancients, the Golden Age ended not because of evil, but
- 9:21because perfection cannot endure.
- 9:24Every paradise collapses into experience, and every God of
- 9:27creation becomes a God of death. Kronos, Saturn and Lil.
- 9:32The names change, but the idea remains.
- 9:35The universe moves in cycles of birth, decay and renewal.
- 9:40The Father is overthrown by the Son, who in turn becomes the
- 9:43Father, and the Wheel of Time turns once more.
- 9:53For the ancient Sumerians, the sky was a Kingdom, a vast
- 9:57hierarchy ruled by the Anunnaki, the rulers of Earth and Heaven,
- 10:02and among them stood one who embodied control and the weight
- 10:05of judgement. This was Enlil.
- 10:08In the old tablets he is called the Great Mountain, Commander of
- 10:12the Winds, keeper of the Tablet of Destinies, and enforcer of
- 10:15order in Heaven. When humankind becomes too loud,
- 10:19too defiant, it's Enlil who sends the flood.
- 10:22He preserves the balance, even if it means destruction.
- 10:26And in that balance, a familiar symbol, the planet Saturn.
- 10:31To the Babylonians, Saturn became Ninurta, the son of
- 10:35Enlil, a warrior who enforced his father's will.
- 10:38He carried the same traits, severity, discipline, structure
- 10:43and punishment. To the Phoenicians, it was El,
- 10:47the father of gods and men. In the Levant, the Saturnian
- 10:51cult took a dark turn. The God El, once supreme, gave
- 10:56rise to bow the Lord. Over centuries, Baal's identity
- 11:01fractured into many forms. Baal Haman, Baal Zebul, Baal
- 11:06Moloch. Moloch would become one of the
- 11:08most feared names in ancient scripture.
- 11:11He was the devourer, the one who demanded the offering of first
- 11:14borns to ensure the continuation of power and order.
- 11:18The echoes of this can be seen in the tale of Kronos.
- 11:21This connection would carry forward into countless occult
- 11:24traditions. Saturn, the Black Sun, the Lord
- 11:27of the material world. Moloch, the consuming fire of
- 11:31civilization itself. Different names, same power, the
- 11:35destroyer who maintains creation through sacrifice.
- 11:39Even the ancient Hebrews who rejected these cults could never
- 11:43fully erase their imagery. The warnings in Leviticus and
- 11:46Jeremiah against passing children through the fire to
- 11:49Molech are cultural fossils preserving the memory of
- 11:53Saturn's shadow in human history.
- 11:56In astrology, Saturn still bears that same mark, the planet of
- 12:00limitation, time and consequence.
- 12:03It is the great divider between the known and the unknown, the
- 12:07last visible boundary of the heavens.
- 12:10Some scholars have wondered if these were all just different
- 12:13incarnations of the same ancient archetype.
- 12:16In the Enuma Elish, it's not hard to see this transformation.
- 12:20The elder gods are cast down, the younger gods rise.
- 12:24The heavens are divided into zones, A cosmic order built from
- 12:28rebellion and sacrifice. Maybe that's why even now, the
- 12:32ancient sphere of Saturn lingers in our collective memory.
- 12:36Because somewhere deep in the past, Saturn wasn't just a light
- 12:39in the sky, it was the symbol of a God who once ruled the world.
- 13:08The ancients gave Saturn many names, the Lord of Time, the
- 13:12Devourer, the Black Sun. But one symbol followed it
- 13:16through every age, the cube, six sides, 6 directions, and a
- 13:21hidden center. It is the geometry of form
- 13:24itself, stable, eternal and unyielding.
- 13:28And nowhere else in the solar system is that geometry more
- 13:31literal than on Saturn. In 1981, Voyager sent back
- 13:37images that stunned the world at Saturn's North Pole.
- 13:41A perfect six sided storm, a hexagon thousands of miles wide,
- 13:46locked in perpetual rotation. The hexagon is immense, with
- 13:51sides approximately 9000 miles long, big enough to fit the
- 13:55Earth inside it twice. Scientists called it a standing
- 13:59wave, a product of turbulent jet streams, but to those who study
- 14:04the symbols of old, it was something else, a signature, a
- 14:08cosmic mark. That the architecture of Saturn,
- 14:11and perhaps reality itself, obeys The same hidden geometry
- 14:15found in sacred design in Kabbalah Saturn is Bina
- 14:20understanding. She is the great architect, the
- 14:23feminine aspect that takes the formless light of creation and
- 14:26gives it shape. Bina builds the walls of
- 14:29existence, the boundaries of matter, the rules of time.
- 14:34The ancients saw in Saturn's rings the image of limitation
- 14:37and in its hexagon, the symbol of structure itself.
- 14:41Saturn does not create life. Saturn defines its limits.
- 14:46The black cube reappears in one of the world's holiest sites,
- 14:50the Kaaba of Mecca. Pilgrims circle it as planets
- 14:55around their star in a ritual that has echoed for more than
- 14:581000 years to the esoteric initiate.
- 15:02This is not coincidence. The cube is the dwelling place
- 15:06of divinity, the same pattern repeated from heaven to earth.
- 15:10Saturn rules time, and time devours all.
- 15:15In alchemy he is Negredo, the black stage of dissolution,
- 15:19death before rebirth. To enter the cube is to face the
- 15:24limit of existence. To transcend it is to escape
- 15:28time itself. From Masonic temples to city
- 15:31plazas, the black cube persists. Architects, artists and
- 15:36occultists return to it, consciously or not, as if drawn
- 15:40to an ancient code. Some call it a symbol of
- 15:44control, the prison of the mind, the material world that keeps
- 15:48the spirit bound. Others call it the key, the
- 15:52reminder that enlightenment begins with confronting
- 15:55confinement. Some esoteric schools go
- 15:59further. They claim Saturn is not just a
- 16:01symbol of time and death, but a gate.
- 16:05In this view, the hexagon at its pole is not a storm, but a
- 16:08mechanism, A6 sided portal that recycles consciousness back into
- 16:12material form. This is the so-called soul trap
- 16:17theory, the idea that souls are drawn back into the cycle of
- 16:20birth and death through a Saturnian gateway.
- 16:24It appears in fragments of Gnostic texts, in whispers of
- 16:27mystery schools, and in modern fringe philosophy.
- 16:31Whether metaphor or reality, the image of Saturn as a cosmic
- 16:35warden fits the same archetype seen in every age, the devourer
- 16:39of his children, the black cube that both shelters and
- 16:42imprisons. In the Hebrew prophecies, there
- 17:01is a warning about a star. Amos calls it Cayun.
- 17:07Centuries later, when the text travels into Greek, the name
- 17:10shifts to Refan or Renfan. In the New Testament, Acts 743
- 17:16recalls it as the star of your God Renfan, carried by the
- 17:21people as an idol. What was that star?
- 17:25Ancient readers did not use our modern word planet.
- 17:29They spoke of wandering stars, the bright bodies that move
- 17:32against the fixed constellations.
- 17:35Among them, one was slow, heavy with meaning, and always
- 17:39associated with law, fate and consequence.
- 17:43That star was Saturn. Many scholars see the line from
- 17:47Kyun to Rifan or Rifan as a translation trail that points to
- 17:51Saturn. The name likely echoes older
- 17:54Mesopotamian and West Semitic terms for the planet that later
- 17:58survived in regional languages. When Stephen says the people
- 18:03carried the star of your God Remphan, he is not speaking
- 18:06about a distant sun. He is naming A deified planet a
- 18:10cult of the sky. In Amos 526, the prophet also
- 18:15names Malak. Acts repeats the pairing, the
- 18:19Tabernacle of Malak and the star of your God Remphan.
- 18:23Two currents converge here. Moloch, the consuming fire of
- 18:27the city. Remfon, the Saturnian star of
- 18:31authority and time. Together they mark a forbidden
- 18:34worship power taken from the heavens and enthroned on Earth.
- 18:38Place that warning beside what we see above Saturn today.
- 18:42At the North Pole, A6 sided storm turns without rest, A
- 18:47hexagon vast enough to swallow continents.
- 18:50For the modern eye it is fluid dynamics.
- 18:53For the symbolic eye, it is geometry, The same six that
- 18:57defines the cube and the star forms used in sacred diagrams.
- 19:01In the old language of myth, Saturn remains the architect of
- 19:05limits. A brief note for clarity.
- 19:10R.E.M. Phan is not a different God from
- 19:12Kiyun. It is the Greek way of writing
- 19:15the older name, and the star is not a specific drawn emblem in
- 19:20these texts. It is the planet as an idol, a
- 19:24wandering power treated as a God.
- 19:27So the star of R.E.M. Phan is Saturn, remembered in
- 19:30scripture, a planetary throne woven into warning, a reminder
- 19:35that when men worship time and power, time and power devour
- 19:38them in return. The star of Rifan then wasn't a
- 19:42symbol of covenant with the divine, but rather devotion to
- 19:46Saturn across Babylon, Egypt and Canaan.
- 19:51Saturn was both revered and feared.
- 19:54The six pointed star later became known as the Seal of
- 19:57Solomon and came to represent this dual nature, Divine wisdom
- 20:02bound within the laws of matter. The hexagram, like Saturn
- 20:07itself, governs structure and control.
- 20:11When the modern state of Israel adopted the six pointed star for
- 20:14its flag. It was not reviving a symbol
- 20:17from the Mosaic Age. The menorah was Israel's ancient
- 20:21emblem, the seven branched light of spirit.
- 20:26The star emerged much later, shaped through Kabbalistic
- 20:29mysticism, Hermetic alchemy, and even medieval magic.
- 20:35This evolution raises uncomfortable questions.
- 20:38The same hexagram used in occult sigils, Masonic lodges, and
- 20:42Saturnian orders is now the symbol of a modern nation, one
- 20:46deeply entangled in global finance, technology and
- 20:49surveillance. It may be coincidence, but if
- 20:53symbols carry energy, if they transmit intention across time,
- 20:57then the star of Refon never stopped shining.
- 21:00It merely changed meaning. Perhaps that's the hidden irony,
- 21:04that the very symbol raised in the name of faith may in truth
- 21:09represent the ancient God of the material veil, the Keeper of
- 21:13cycles, the architect of control.
- 21:24The worship of Saturn never truly disappeared.
- 21:27It evolved, hiding behind new symbols, new languages, and new
- 21:31institutions. What began as offerings to a
- 21:34dark God of time became rituals of commerce, architecture, and
- 21:38control. Today, that same energy
- 21:42manifests in systems of finance, technology and surveillance, the
- 21:46mechanisms that bind humanity to a constant rhythm of consumption
- 21:50and obedience. The black cube, Saturn's ancient
- 21:55symbol, now appears everywhere. At the Kaaba in Mecca, the
- 22:00pilgrims circle the cube, a ritual older than Islam itself,
- 22:04some say, echoing pre Abrahamic veneration of celestial deities.
- 22:10In corporate logos. Black cube structures rise in
- 22:13city centers from Manhattan to Melbourne, monuments to the God
- 22:16of material order. Even in names, Black Rock,
- 22:20Blackstone, Saturn Corporation, the pattern repeats black, the
- 22:26color of Saturn's domain, the color of the void, of authority,
- 22:30of power, centralized and absolute.
- 22:34In esoteric traditions, the cube represents matter, limitation,
- 22:39and imprisonment, the spirit confined in the density of the
- 22:42material world. To escape the cube is to awaken,
- 22:47to transcend the boundaries of control.
- 22:51But those who rule through the cube feed upon its geometry.
- 22:55They build their empires upon it.
- 22:57Secret societies, occult orders, and global think tanks, whether
- 23:02knowingly or not, operate within the Saturnian paradigm.
- 23:06They uphold the cult of structure, hierarchy, and time.
- 23:11Their temples are skyscrapers, their altars are boardrooms, and
- 23:14their offerings are human attention and labor.
- 23:18We live inside its rings. The cult doesn't wear robes
- 23:21anymore. It wears suits.
- 23:24It doesn't chant in temples. It calculates in markets.
- 23:27It doesn't burn offerings. It monetizes souls.
- 23:37During the early 20th century, esoteric orders within Nazi
- 23:41Germany and Hitler's inner circle revived this symbol as
- 23:44part of their myth of Aryan cosmic origin.
- 23:47The Schwarzes Sauna or Black Sun represented a hidden source of
- 23:51energy, an unseen God at the center of all reality.
- 23:56A reference to the ancient Saturnian Old Sun of myth that
- 24:00ruled before our present age. After the 3rd Reich fell, the
- 24:05Black Sun symbolism went underground, finding new life in
- 24:09post war esoteric societies, occult lodges and in modern
- 24:13conspiracy theories. Saturn became the shadow Sun, a
- 24:18hidden generator behind human consciousness, radiating
- 24:21control. One of the most widely
- 24:24circulated modern interpretations came from David
- 24:27Icke, who described Saturn as a cosmic transmitter, a planetary
- 24:32broadcasting tower beaming frequencies across the solar
- 24:35system. In his view, the Moon acts as a
- 24:38relay dish, reflecting those frequencies into Earth and
- 24:42shaping human perception. Whether 1 takes this literally
- 24:46or symbolically, it shows a far older pattern, the Gnostic model
- 24:51of the Archons, where lower celestial rulers project false
- 24:54realities to keep the divine spark imprisoned in matter.
- 24:58Saturn, the Lord of Time and the Keeper of the Cage.
- 25:02Many ancient traditions spoke of two sons, one visible, 1 hidden.
- 25:08This hidden sun was Saturn. The visible Sun became the
- 25:12successor, the Liberator. The black cube is Saturn's
- 25:20ultimate symbol. Matter crystallized, time
- 25:24solidified into geometry. Across the world, this geometry
- 25:29recurs. Yet the cube's ultimate secret
- 25:32is its transformation. When unfolded, it becomes the
- 25:36cross, the central symbol of Christianity.
- 25:40This raises another unsettling question.
- 25:43Did the church absorb the Saturnian code?
- 25:47Saturday, Saturn's day, became the sacred Sabbath.
- 25:52Saint Peter Petros, the Rock, the stone upon which the church
- 25:57was built, and the cross itself, an unfolded cube meant to
- 26:02symbolize the release of the divine from material bondage.
- 26:06It's as if Christianity took the architecture of Saturn and
- 26:10simply reversed it, turning the symbol of imprisonment into a
- 26:14symbol of redemption. As we enter the new age of the
- 26:18Black Sun, the symbolism circles back.
- 26:21Humanity builds its own artificial Suns, glowing
- 26:25screens, simulated light, time measured in loops through
- 26:30transhumanism. People chase Saturn's oldest
- 26:33promise, immortality through control of time.
- 26:36Machines compress reality, just as the cube once did.
- 26:41The ancient God of limits now reappears in silicon form, the
- 26:44demiurge reborn as an algorithm. The question that still lingers
- 26:48is not whether Saturn still rules, but whether we've begun
- 26:52to recreate his Kingdom ourselves.
- 26:55Are we still living in the rain of the Black Sun?
- 26:58Perhaps Saturn never fell, we just learned how to build his
- 27:02shadow. The black cube, the ringed
- 27:14planet, the God who devours his own.
- 27:17We worship him without knowing it.
- 27:19We serve order without question, and every tick of the clock
- 27:24still whispers the same ancient name.
- 27:27Join us next time on the Anunnaki Connection.
