- 0:00Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Christian we've
- 0:03podcast this time. Yeah, we've got video,
- 0:08obviously, for those listening on Spotify and apple podcast,
- 0:11and wherever else, you listen to the Christian we've podcast.
- 0:16Yeah, I recommend this checking it out.
- 0:19If, if this works, I mean, if it doesn't work, it's no worries.
- 0:22It's still going to be a good podcast nonetheless.
- 0:26But yeah, I'm trying this out with video because I just think
- 0:29it would It'd be fun. And, you know, we can actually
- 0:32see what people look like and and me if you care.
- 0:36But anyway, we are back with well, a very friend of the show,
- 0:43I'm going to call you friend of the show.
- 0:44Now, Calamity Hatcher is back with us.
- 0:48This is, how are you? I'm good, thank you.
- 0:50How are you? This is the third time.
- 0:52Andy, third time. It's the lucky one.
- 0:56This is one that goes viral. Well, you never know.
- 1:00With you to back, it can always go that way.
- 1:04I'm a bit apprehensive as well because I don't have any prep at
- 1:07all. I don't even have any notes
- 1:09going into this which is not like me.
- 1:11I've only done this one or two times before I don't know we're
- 1:15talking about but you know hey that's the fun of it.
- 1:18Well we can ask about about because we can see your your
- 1:22background there. So I'm just going to start
- 1:23stands about that. How much are LED lights?
- 1:28They are. I think These are about 30
- 1:30pounds Amazon, okay? But you can get, you can get
- 1:35them. Cheaper than that on eBay, dude.
- 1:36You can get them for like, tenor, drop.
- 1:41Hmm. Solid investment.
- 1:43My friend, a solid investment, maybe I will get them maybe just
- 1:47maybe some recommend it everything just more Ambiance.
- 1:52So what else have you got there to the far left?
- 1:54That is that a series of comic books or something like that.
- 1:58Now okay. Alright, so we're gonna go
- 1:59through it so they I'm talking book shelf, right?
- 2:02Yeah. So the ones that you can sew the
- 2:07top, there's just a little display shelf which I've got
- 2:09some funk on Pard sins and yeah and then belief that you've got
- 2:14Funko pops and then there's some comics on there.
- 2:16I'm trying to complete that particular tear, the one that my
- 2:20hand is based on the level of now, which I've just noticed,
- 2:22which is really convenient, okay?
- 2:24And then the one below is just all Marvel graphic novels.
- 2:29I've got the enough, Elation series and some of the big ones
- 2:33Secret Wars Infinity that kind of thing.
- 2:35Okay, below. You got a few, more fun goes
- 2:38underneath that and my single issue Comics.
- 2:41The only Comics that I really collect.
- 2:43Now, a single issues are the Sonic comics, but there are
- 2:48Marvel event comics and come out.
- 2:49What I might tend to pick those up in single issues or they'll
- 2:52go on that show. So them for people that like
- 2:55myself, that have no idea what you're talking about.
- 2:57What's the single issue coming. Where is you have like comic
- 3:02aux-in storyline. So you might buy.
- 3:05Oh, hold on. Is it like a standalone story
- 3:07that net doesn't isn't necessarily Cannon?
- 3:09No, it's part of a Continuing Story.
- 3:13So whereas you might get a bit graphic novel, I have like the
- 3:15infinity one. That is a collection of all of
- 3:19the single issues that were released each month like in this
- 3:23event that all, when you finish the entire event, you know, you
- 3:26picked up all those single issues and you'd read every
- 3:28single one and that was the climax of the event and all that
- 3:31kind of thing. It's more like Series has.
- 3:35So for instance, The Amazing Spider-Man is his own series and
- 3:38every month releases a what we call a single issue, just a
- 3:43small comic that will be continuing the ongoing story
- 3:47from The Amazing Spider-Man, but then, you obviously have the
- 3:50option to buy collections of those further after release on
- 3:55Amazon and things like that, and they kind of collect them
- 3:58together. So you can have that more.
- 4:00Graphic novel format to it. So so suppose it is just like a
- 4:05single story, that's essentially what it means in a way.
- 4:08Like even though it's part of a longer story arc, it's like one
- 4:12particular thing to agree but a lot of single issues you
- 4:15couldn't pick up and just understand without reading the
- 4:17other stuff, okay? This just to kind of come in at
- 4:23entry points. And that's, you know, that's a
- 4:25question. I get asked so much man that,
- 4:27what, how do I start reading comics, but wait, My entry point
- 4:30to reading comics, it's difficult.
- 4:33It is a really difficult question to give people, you
- 4:35know, is bad. If you were to say to me, you
- 4:38know, I what I want to read hope comics and I'm going to say to
- 4:43you, okay, well, I'm going to read, you know, say that you
- 4:45should go with Planet Hulk. Hmm.
- 4:49And that entire world war Hulk. And all of that kind of saga.
- 4:52I wouldn't really know where to tell you to go from there to be
- 4:55completely honest with you, because I'm not whole Creator.
- 4:57But that, you know, each series each hero.
- 5:00Has his his or her big moments. They're big story arcs so
- 5:05there's normally the ones to get into.
- 5:07I don't know why, but this reminded me of a weird memory
- 5:09that I have. So I used to live back in school
- 5:13days when they, when I lived in the beautiful rice lip, right?
- 5:18I was across from a waitress so shout out to waitrose and
- 5:23another one. Okay.
- 5:25Yeah. It's very dear to my heart.
- 5:26Anyway, it's a very weirdly built waitrose as well at
- 5:29waitrose. Was looked with a least.
- 5:31I believe that has a GP and it now or something.
- 5:33Does he really well? Okay, something like that.
- 5:35As you know it always know. I always had a GP.
- 5:37I remember that. Yeah I never went there enough
- 5:40to really well. You're missing my mom we weren't
- 5:44upper class time okay neither were we were super poor just
- 5:48happened to be the closest supermarket and my mom was like
- 5:51I do I do I you know carry all this experience really heavy
- 5:55shopping and because it depended on how old I was if I was older
- 5:59it would be Easier to carry for longer.
- 6:01But yeah, I'd always be helping with each out by the.
- 6:05Yeah, yeah. Eventually we still frequent
- 6:07twice and you know, they do frozen, Greg stuff.
- 6:12And that's enough for me. They do frozen Greg's.
- 6:15Did you not know about this? No.
- 6:18Oh my God, I say draw woes, um, that all Greg's ones like bacon
- 6:23and cheese wraps, fucking chicken baked all of it.
- 6:27Oh my God, and it's frozen, it comes out like packs of two of
- 6:30them and it's godman the oven to 225 minutes.
- 6:34You're sorted mate. I honestly don't know about
- 6:38this, this changed my life and this has been going on for a
- 6:41fair few years. Now, I only found out last week.
- 6:45Last week, I found out that Greg's deliver and that blue
- 6:48Mind now to know I can buy them from Iceland what yet
- 6:54exclusively Iceland. That's why Mom's go to Iceland
- 7:00before we go carry on with Iceland.
- 7:03Yeah, so that's of the waitressing, the reason I bring
- 7:05it up is because you mentioned comics and for whatever reason,
- 7:10I used to buy The Simpsons comics quite a lot.
- 7:14I remember those. I'll say one thing, right?
- 7:17It was good Simpson. As you know, it's very here miss
- 7:20it depends on your humor. I guess.
- 7:22I for me personally, the actual TV program kind of is weirdly
- 7:28like started out being excellent and then it kind of changed and
- 7:31then Family Guy came along and then it tried to sort of compete
- 7:34with Family Guy. Even though Family Guy was
- 7:36essentially based on Simpsons is weird.
- 7:38It's not it's not bad but I don't it's not like iconic.
- 7:42Like, it was back in saying nice.
- 7:44He's to hell. Can a dead cow?
- 7:46Yeah, I think it was good, one. They announced it was ending.
- 7:49I was like, yes, it's good. Do you remember channel for the
- 7:54show it every evening? Yeah, but that was a big thing
- 7:58for me. And my dad every evening.
- 7:59We would sit down and watch The Simpsons.
- 8:00It was tradition. I'll go to that because I've got
- 8:03so much to say on this like growing up in England.
- 8:07But yeah, with the comics thing, I just wanted to really quickly
- 8:09say that I actually think the Simpsons comics are highly
- 8:12underrated in particular the Bart Simpson Comics as well.
- 8:16Yeah, but man, my Were buying them for at least a couple of
- 8:20years continuously like every week and the horror episodes
- 8:24were excellent. There was like our tree house of
- 8:28horrors. Yeah, I know.
- 8:29So like whenever bar would dress up as like his superhero.
- 8:35Alter Ego of man. But man.
- 8:37Yeah that's it. And I remember getting a book as
- 8:40well like a proper book comic at one point.
- 8:43I was actually a massive fan. I think I got it that place
- 8:46till, but ya know that I'm not either.
- 8:48Surely. They actually they put a lot of
- 8:50effort into it and I feel like in a way it doesn't really have
- 8:54anything to do with the TV show. If anything, I preferred it to
- 8:57the TV shows that she's just characters and the locations,
- 9:00but Original Stories, kind of thing.
- 9:03Yeah. But like it's more interesting
- 9:05than TV show. I think and because they I
- 9:08reckon it's that sort of thing of like because they know that
- 9:10they don't have the same audience and that maybe not as
- 9:12many people are consuming it. They can kind of just do
- 9:14whatever the hell they want. Yeah lately you've seen that a
- 9:17lot. Not in a lot of mediums video
- 9:20games Comics. Like for instance, I don't know
- 9:24if you know of the DC hero power of evil power, girl?
- 9:30Yeah, now she is just basically female Superman 04 in layman's
- 9:35terms. If there's any comic book nerds
- 9:37that are watching this right now they're going to absolutely
- 9:39Slaughter me. But for the general audience,
- 9:42she's female Superman and they were aware that nobody was
- 9:46reading their comic. So they I kept making her
- 9:49breasts bigger. If you look at the character
- 9:53now, it's ridiculous Double G's - I'm thinking.
- 9:59I know nothing of this. I know we've sitting in a room
- 10:02filled with Sonic stuff but I can tell you for a fact that
- 10:05like just stupid. It's no wonder, it's no wonder
- 10:09that our society has like body-conscious issues because
- 10:11this is this is the same for men as well.
- 10:13Like you read these comments and you see these guys in these
- 10:16women and they have these unrealistic.
- 10:18Bodies, like with the women, right?
- 10:20They'll have these huge breasts and then, you know, like a body
- 10:25that can't sustain that like the girls.
- 10:28I've dated in the past that have had big breasts have always
- 10:31complained to me about back pain and like how bad it is on your
- 10:34spine. Yeah.
- 10:35So like those characters you see in like superhero comics like
- 10:39okay you can argue all the other superheroes, they don't feel
- 10:41pain but it's like that. That would be not realistic.
- 10:45Yeah, to pay such a perceived image, such a perceived.
- 10:48Image and it's like, you know, all people have, like, fat old
- 10:53people have, like two things about their body, that do not
- 10:57fit that standard Norm that you're showing movies.
- 11:00But when you actually think about it, realistically, it's
- 11:04like a very small percentage of the world that actually look
- 11:08like that. Like, I go and see a Marvel
- 11:10movie and I'm seeing like Chris Pratt or Tom Hollander, whatever
- 11:15with his top of thinking like damn I thought my body was All
- 11:18right, but it's not that bad. Like look at that.
- 11:20I can't compete with that. Who's like, well I'm not going
- 11:22to that's like Jet like 10, 20 percent of the planet, and it's
- 11:29just, it's unrealistic, expectations man.
- 11:31Like what people are people can be, people are beautiful.
- 11:35Just like their imperfections and I feel it's such like a meal
- 11:39has to look like this and a lot of thing with that as well as
- 11:42that those actors will be the first people to tell you like
- 11:46how much work that goes into that.
- 11:48And they'll help me. I'll show you like how they
- 11:49looked before and stuff like, like it takes a long time, you
- 11:53know, like fun. Like I'm not in the best shape
- 11:56ever, but I'm definitely in better shape than I've been in
- 11:59like all the years. And yeah, that's just through
- 12:03pushing myself to a certain degree, but if I wanted to get
- 12:06to like, where I actually want to go, I'd have to push it even
- 12:09more so, and I'm prepared to do that.
- 12:11But it's like a combinate, like a lot of people, for instance,
- 12:14don't understand that, like food is actually.
- 12:17Yeah, so much more important than like, working out working
- 12:21out, like, 20% of the equation, like, what you eat is more,
- 12:24Current at least. What's that?
- 12:27Look at Dwayne The Rock Johnson. Yeah, every guy wants to like
- 12:31Dwayne The Rock Johnson, every girl wants to look that built
- 12:34the amount of food that man has to consume in a day in and then
- 12:39exercise on top of that. Nobody has time for that that is
- 12:43a full-time career. I will say this with a job.
- 12:46How can you consume like hundred pounds worth of food a day?
- 12:52Like I'm talking costs as well like Pounds worth of food every
- 12:57day. Me and him are both Tauruses so
- 13:00I can relate to him on this, right?
- 13:02If you're a Taurus, typically, you mean, I understand there's
- 13:06people that don't believe in this but like, I don't know, I
- 13:09find that on a very basic level. There's like, these
- 13:11characteristics that tend to be true for, like, your star signs
- 13:16at least right. And we're totally torian's, 10
- 13:18to eat and love to eat food and like that.
- 13:22Yeah. But like, like like, More so
- 13:25than more people like normal people like I've had to curb it
- 13:28back over the years and not be so piggish when I eat because I
- 13:31could just eat like that forever.
- 13:34And I know he's the same when he's it gets down to like eating
- 13:37time. It's like this is this isn't
- 13:39just like I'm going to eat and then I feel bad.
- 13:41This is like an experience. It's like I'm going to take out
- 13:45that. I mean like food is very
- 13:47important to me. Food is my probably my favorite
- 13:50thing in the world that's being completely honest about that.
- 13:52But mine is dogs and I love, I love like eating my meals and
- 13:57cooking my meals and plan my meals, not gonna thing.
- 13:59But a lot of these people that do this, I was watching some
- 14:03stuff on it recently who do like this Mass eating bodybuilding
- 14:06thing. Hmm.
- 14:07They have to have sponsors to provide all of that food, all
- 14:11right? Because like it's an ungodly
- 14:15amount and what I mean is like if you're working a nine-to-five
- 14:18for a 96 or, you know, whatever you're working.
- 14:20How during that time? Have you got the time?
- 14:24Prepare 5 meals? I don't know.
- 14:26I can, I can go from my, I have my breakfast at work by getting
- 14:29a bit early to do that and then I have my lunch lunch time, but
- 14:34I can't just take breaks to be like, oh, hang on, I need to go
- 14:36quick. Eat a very protein, heavy meal,
- 14:39or whatever it was, you know, whether it's no protein or
- 14:41whatnot, that you wouldn't necessarily have as a full-time
- 14:43career doing that. He would necessarily have a
- 14:45sponsor providing the food, but he'll definitely have a team of
- 14:47professional cook. Chef something like that, 100%.
- 14:50He's got the money though, right?
- 14:52Yeah, but this is what I'm saying, like, you Yeah, those
- 14:57people that have that obviously need the money to be able to do
- 15:01that, but yeah, I thought about it as well, like, when it comes
- 15:04to, my time, certainly in the future, when I get, you know,
- 15:08when I'm able to do this for a living and stuff and do this
- 15:11frequently, I can already tell it how busy I am right now, but
- 15:15right now, I'm unemployed. So I've got time, but like that
- 15:20won't be the case in the future and therefore, like I finally
- 15:23get it, I used to think like our that was Entitled thing to have
- 15:26like your own stuff and stuff, but now might know, ya know, you
- 15:29need like chefs cleaners and assistant, you know, you need
- 15:34all that stuff because you just don't have the time to do all
- 15:37the meticulous stuff, but that's not to say, you didn't get some
- 15:40point. It's like, you worked your ass
- 15:42off to get to that point where you could afford to have a staff
- 15:45but now you actually need the staff because yes anything is
- 15:48going on. So I need an editor, dude, I say
- 15:51it's only an editor that can I can.
- 15:55Edit my daily content as it's coming out of the moment, but
- 15:57that's games like playing video games.
- 15:59I'm if I'm doing, like, video essays and stuff as well, which
- 16:03I want to do, those are videos that take several days of
- 16:05editing, I need an editor that can do that.
- 16:08While I'm still grinding, game, pay things and doing streams
- 16:12everyday, but, you know, YouTube Star semi that paycheck first.
- 16:16Darla Darla coming, it's coming, it's coming, just hurry up.
- 16:21Well, it's not your knees useful.
- 16:23I'm not met criteria yet, but we're here.
- 16:25Disappoint never to be going to hit but like initially that
- 16:28paycheck is not going to be a lot like yeah, I'll be able to
- 16:31quit but it's okay. I know I know it's not about the
- 16:34money. It's about the symbol of it
- 16:37like, it's just yeah. But yeah, it's not when you,
- 16:40when you put this much work into like a channel as we both have
- 16:47and all these editing hours eventually like you do want to
- 16:50get something from it and I don't even want to get something
- 16:52from it in the sense of Yeah, I want to go by like extravagant
- 16:57things, like I think I just want to keep improving my setup to
- 17:00improve my content. You know, like an exam I get
- 17:03from YouTube, he's just gonna go into making the start by getting
- 17:07the desktop instead of using this laptop, so I can render
- 17:10better. I can render faster, I can, you
- 17:13know, just so many things I can stream games from the actual
- 17:16desktop itself, and just move the production quality up.
- 17:20So I'm not sitting here, like goddamn I do to pay me but I'm
- 17:23also like this is, you know, whatever I get.
- 17:25Is going to help. And she didn't look, I agree
- 17:27with you on this. Actually, I think the same way
- 17:31like for instance, I have like a PayPal donation link and yeah so
- 17:36far one person, what technically to, but the first person was
- 17:40kind of doing it for fun, but the second person was a streamer
- 17:44that I met recently. He's been on the podcast.
- 17:46Shout out to steal Z, its primary.
- 17:50I remember you saying about this primarily X1 dreamer, and I was
- 17:54doing a twitch streamer. I'm one day, I'll just quickly
- 17:56tell a story, I think I've told it before, but I did the last
- 17:59podcast you recorded which because I send out at the time
- 18:02of this being recorded. Did I already tell?
- 18:03I'm sorry. You're towing the last one.
- 18:05Jesus Christ. I got you a lucky guy.
- 18:08Okay that's too many because I had a better Point than this.
- 18:12I wasn't just going to read the cat.
- 18:13Well I was going to recount the story but now I'm not going to
- 18:15because you've already heard it but I'm at the point home know
- 18:19when he did that. Obviously I wasn't expecting
- 18:22that and I thought did cross my mind of like You know, I could
- 18:26use this to pay my rent and stuff and then I thought, no,
- 18:29no, like it, it's intended for this.
- 18:33This is what it will go towards and also you know.
- 18:36Yeah. You know like the the I think
- 18:41the more you invest into it, when you can, the better it gets
- 18:45and and like the more people take you seriously.
- 18:48So like for instance, I got this Mike now.
- 18:50It's like this beautiful blue. Yeah, me and it should Should
- 18:55have used it before. It's funny how things work.
- 18:58Actually, I'll tell a real quick story just because it's life is
- 19:02finally time in story time. The job I used to work in in
- 19:07back in Estonia my final job. One of the tasks I had was to do
- 19:13a sort of podcast ironically and it wasn't really a podcast.
- 19:17It was more like a spoken word version of the Articles we were
- 19:20publishing. They just, you know, okay, had
- 19:22an English guy working for them. Why not get me to do it, right?
- 19:25And I took it seriously and I did it really well and the Mike
- 19:28that was using happens to be this exact microphone is for the
- 19:32win. And when I was about to leave,
- 19:35We were negotiating me working, you know, from the UK and trying
- 19:39to do it like freelance and I said, well I want to definitely
- 19:42do this podcast stuff and in the end I think they said that I was
- 19:48too young. I think say just huh, they
- 19:52wanted to get a got someone who was around the age of like 50
- 19:55and I think in the end, they just went back to the American
- 19:57guy who was charging them more money.
- 19:59So what what that's a bit? Yeah, it's silly.
- 20:03This is a bit, I Were one of the things that they said and this
- 20:06is why I'm bringing it up, is that?
- 20:08Oh yeah we can't guarantee the quality as in they didn't trust
- 20:13me to get have a good enough microphone, right?
- 20:15And I just find it hilarious because now I have the exact
- 20:18microphone and I always wished him up again.
- 20:21I always feel that actually messaging and be like, hey, so
- 20:24remember when you didn't want me now I actually have the
- 20:27microphone. Yeah, okay that's coming out I
- 20:33ain't as hell right now. So what you do is The everything
- 20:36you send them a few links and you say, look, my studio is is
- 20:41going up in the world. You wanna you wanna hit me up?
- 20:44I don't undercut. The American guy Bish bash Bosh.
- 20:48I wouldn't want to do it anyway. To be honest like for real, I
- 20:50wouldn't want to feel that you got do what you want to do.
- 20:54Well recently I actually got better offers for things like I
- 20:58won't say who but a friend of mine is making a video game
- 21:01right now and he appalled me too.
- 21:05Do a voice for the game so I'm like, oh my God.
- 21:09So I'm going to be illegal if he wants to to get that review out
- 21:14there, you know? And so of course yeah, I didn't
- 21:17make it up. Hey yeah, we do a review to an
- 21:22embargo or not and then big up to the hatchlings young people
- 21:27little my channel if I have the time actually because it's kind
- 21:31of getting crazy over here at the moment, we're getting a lot
- 21:33of guess, that's it. Good.
- 21:35I like to be busy getting me all the time.
- 21:37I'm just, I'm just sitting outside the front door.
- 21:39No, I love this because yeah and I first like proper regular
- 21:43guest now and I feel like I could just talk to you forever
- 21:45about anything. Yeah and it would still turn
- 21:47out. Alright so chill.
- 21:50This is your Cho podcast. Let's bring it back to you just
- 21:53for a little bit. So you've been working on a
- 21:56Shadow, the Hedgehog series, oh my God, Shadow the Hedgehog talk
- 22:01to us about that. So we are doing the Shadow, the
- 22:05Hedgehog series, we're completing the entire game.
- 22:09It every branching Story Mission like Arc has two endings when
- 22:15did the game there at 0 again? 2005, 2005.
- 22:20It was a massive staple of my childhood, this game.
- 22:22I remember because you are my love.
- 22:26You wouldn't shut the fuck up about it.
- 22:27I realized. Hey, I would finish all 11
- 22:30endings and then just start a new game.
- 22:33Like, I fucking love this game. I mean, that, that I've always
- 22:36said this about games. Like the best thing about a game
- 22:39is replayability, if it's repayable, even after many years
- 22:42then you know, it's a good game. I'll do the game is terrible.
- 22:46Well, I'm saying this, the game is awful.
- 22:48So why do you play right? It's my first time replaying it.
- 22:53Since I was a teenager so you only played it back then because
- 22:57of the different endings you wanted Sonic?
- 23:00Yeah. Like is that it was the new
- 23:01Sonic game. So I got there and obviously,
- 23:04that's my favorite character. So I got it.
- 23:06And at the time, I kind of, I didn't hate as much, like, it's
- 23:10not terrible. There were just a lot of things
- 23:13wrong with it, but when I was younger, I didn't pay attention
- 23:15to it. I've read that.
- 23:16The the actual in-game mechanics are bad, so you saying that the
- 23:20story is good, but the gameplay is bad kind of thing.
- 23:23Well, the story is basic as fuck because there's so many
- 23:27different story. But doesn't necessarily mean
- 23:29it's bad though. Desert basic stories.
- 23:32Its kind of non-existent But it's, it's okay.
- 23:36So if one reference is it references, certain things and I
- 23:39builds off of certain things, okay, the archanan in the Sonic
- 23:43Universe, so it's fine. Like the you've already said
- 23:46that Sonic Cannon is BS. So, Sonic hadn't is BS.
- 23:51It's literally references Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Heroes
- 23:55saying that they happened. So it's like that.
- 24:00It's just, you know what? As When you look at it, not even
- 24:04necessarily in continuity, terms is Shadow story of figuring out.
- 24:13What he's here for ball? Because he saved the world
- 24:18despite thinking that he should have destroyed it and then he
- 24:20changed his mind and save the world.
- 24:24And then he was kind of lost. He was like well this is kind of
- 24:27like take it or leave it out at you.
- 24:28Like yeah, I could I could destroy the world.
- 24:30I could save it. Well, you know, I feel so when
- 24:33Shadow tried to destroy the world, he his best friend would
- 24:37try to destroy the world was on the Bass Colony Ark, he when he
- 24:48was like, that's what he was created.
- 24:49He had a best friend, who has a 10 year old girl called Maria,
- 24:52then when the government raided the space Colony Ark because
- 24:55they thought that Gerald Robotnik was building something
- 24:59to fuck up the world which he was alongside Shadow, they
- 25:03thought it was Shadow and it kind of was like Shadow is the
- 25:07ultimate life form. So when they tried to get to the
- 25:10Escape pod, Shadow Maria and Maria sealed shut Shadow in the
- 25:15Escape pod as the soldiers came in and released him and just got
- 25:19shot in the head for it. That's done dead.
- 25:23So they reference that they, they go into that, they go into
- 25:27like, how Shadow is created, what forces were at play?
- 25:31And it you know it's like it's not a great game but it's a
- 25:36nice. I like it.
- 25:37I still I still love it but it's just a bit.
- 25:42Broken in places like in one of the episodes the episode that's
- 25:45going to go up. Tomorrow the time recording this
- 25:50tomorrow, there is a moment with no not tomorrow.
- 25:54The next day there is a boss fight with Eggman that he's just
- 25:58ridiculous and shows that the homing attack is just doesn't
- 26:00work properly and there's things like that, you know, and it's
- 26:06but it's been a lot of fun but unfortunately I lost everything.
- 26:11Oh wait, I think I saw you message.
- 26:12Yeah yeah everything to spend the day.
- 26:17Finishing the story arcs I had started.
- 26:20That was the new story out there was going to be after this one.
- 26:23Yes. Then I have to go back and
- 26:25replay this one up to a certain point then record it.
- 26:28So the next video is actually gonna be like, just short of 20
- 26:31minute video because I was like, no fuck it.
- 26:33The whole thing's going in one and we're finishing this story
- 26:35arc and I'm moving on to the next one because I've already do
- 26:38it once. And the thing is, I have to do
- 26:40them all twice. Anyway, to get both endings to
- 26:46get the final. No fucking level ending and it's
- 26:50just, this has happened. But might as well, we're gonna
- 26:54get Shadow out. This happened to me one time as
- 26:57well, and I remember sort of resenting, the game of the bird.
- 27:03That's like, how many times do I have to do just fucking going
- 27:08legit? Like, he's taking a toll, man,
- 27:11we struggling out here. It's funny as well as it because
- 27:14it's a game in the principal purpose of a game.
- 27:17Miss for enjoyment yet somehow, I could just stress you out and
- 27:20annoy. Yes, this fucker right here is
- 27:24causing me shit. This fucking game.
- 27:28Does it would you say the game holds up today?
- 27:3215 years later? Nobody has known that?
- 27:35It doesn't like it is been the joke of well, Sonics career as a
- 27:42bit of a joke, okay. All right.
- 27:44So what's Objectively.
- 28:05Okay. It is 06 but I have so much love
- 28:11for o6y. Haven't played it since 2006,
- 28:15this exist, maybe 2008 but I do have love for it.
- 28:21I'm gonna be playing at soon. I remember there's a thousand
- 28:24drivers Street. I don't know what it was.
- 28:27It was a game around. Then when they saw when they
- 28:30started making. Did they make any other games
- 28:32for the Xbox 360? Sorry ones.
- 28:36Yeah. East, maybe I remember playing
- 28:40one of them and I'm, I never played Sonic 06, but I've seen
- 28:44people play and I just, oh yeah, Sonic Generations as well.
- 28:47Could be that. I just remember the game that I
- 28:49played was excellent and I do obviously played, you know, so
- 28:52Sonic on the Mega Drive and stuff.
- 28:54So seeing it 3D was kind of pretty cool.
- 28:56What was the premise like, what did you have to go?
- 28:59Did you go through Greenhill? I don't, I don't know.
- 29:04Remember, that is here's a little.
- 29:05This is like at least 15 more years ago.
- 29:07Go. I can do as you Greenhill.
- 29:10I know what it is. How come a very remember?
- 29:12What happened yesterday? Me.
- 29:13So that's all that equipment. That is a valid point, but then
- 29:18my son acknowledges on point. No, no.
- 29:19So I would expect I lose everything else but my Sonic
- 29:22knowledge is still What's the what's the coolest Sonic fact
- 29:28that you know? I'm going to divulge you with
- 29:35to, that's okay. If that if that's alright.
- 29:38If you will permit me, this, I mean not many people give me a
- 29:41platform to talk about Sonic so I'm going to go for a moment, go
- 29:44for it. Okay.
- 29:45So one is that Michael Jackson actually produced the music for
- 29:53something Hedgehog 3. However, is name is not on the
- 29:57project because he didn't like how 16-bit music sounded he
- 30:04didn't. But it tastes music but hold up,
- 30:06hold up. Hold up.
- 30:08Yep a game was released I believe for the Sega Genesis
- 30:13called Moon Michael at. Yeah, yeah so that's what pulled
- 30:18him in. Moving that game that pulled MJ
- 30:22into it. So he did that game.
- 30:24He did moonwalk, I think he did it.
- 30:27I don't think he really have anything to do with it.
- 30:29It was savior that I'll get which okay, which came first
- 30:33Sonic 3 or I mean Walker. I'm not sure.
- 30:38I think it was Moonwalker. Okay.
- 30:40So that's what I called him in and he was okay.
- 30:42There's Jesse. And I think he was like, they
- 30:45were like, look, oh, we'd love to get you to do the music on
- 30:47this and he didn't like how it sounded, but unfortunately like
- 30:50that point in development right too bad.
- 30:54Me. So, there are there's a video
- 30:58you can find out there. I can't remember the specific
- 31:02sort of like, for me, but I think there's one bit where you
- 31:04can hear. Music from Sonic 3 and you can
- 31:08all like it's bad basically. Like, it's like, it's a problem
- 31:14that I'm not that bad, but like, in the background, whatever it
- 31:19is like, yo I don't know, I can't remember the exact
- 31:23specifics but yeah, that's a legit thing.
- 31:25So Michael Jackson basically did the music for Sonic 3 but does
- 31:30not have an official credit or title.
- 31:33I never knew that. That's actually pretty cool fact
- 31:37and I'll give you a second one. This is this also I think is a
- 31:40really good story in a very wholesome story.
- 31:43So I'm going to give a shout out to another YouTuber here who to
- 31:47be honest. If you watching my stuff you've
- 31:49probably heard of him, it's called bad Nick mechanic.
- 31:52He's a sonnet YouTuber and he started this thing boat about
- 31:56two years ago. Where there is a in the I
- 32:00believe with the Fuji Forest in Japan, there are on the side of
- 32:04the road in a random mountainous Trail.
- 32:07There are two tree stumps and there is a Sonic On a snowboard
- 32:14placed on top of them. I've seen big model.
- 32:18Yeah, it's awesome. And he put this video up, trying
- 32:21to explain trying to find out the origins of it.
- 32:23Like what has actually happened to it?
- 32:25When did it come from? And throughout his research and
- 32:29the masses of people that they're going to find out about
- 32:32this statue, they found out that it was owned by a retired arcade
- 32:39owner and he He's not sure how it was placed.
- 32:45No, I think he placed it there as a kind of an entry point to
- 32:49something and it was just a nice little thing that he did when he
- 32:53didn't only arcade anymore. And unfortunately, the years had
- 32:56really not been kind to it, it was it was from the 90s and even
- 33:00battered by weather and it was really a shadow of what it used
- 33:04to be fine. Recently, they go through
- 33:10talking to the guys family. Lee and talking through say
- 33:13eager and with this YouTuber directly and working, as a trio,
- 33:18they actually managed to retrieve the statue, and
- 33:21completely clean it up and return it to its former glory.
- 33:25And it's been placed exactly where it was previously.
- 33:28The same statue, just finely polished sitting there as this
- 33:33mysterious piece of Sonic are yet, you know something.
- 33:38Something even bigger than the fact.
- 33:40It's Sonic just this little Sturdy in the forest witch in
- 33:44the Fuji Forest in Japan but let's just think that's that's
- 33:46incredible. Such a wholesome story, it's
- 33:49really cool. It makes me think a lot about,
- 33:51you know, this Obsession we have as humans where we're so
- 33:56desperate to preserve the past even though it's impossible to
- 33:58go back, you can only move forwards, right?
- 34:01And I understand like the basics, you know?
- 34:03It's because we don't want to forget the past, and many of us
- 34:05are very sentiment. I know I am.
- 34:07I'm very I look to the past and I miss it like so badly.
- 34:13But but it's like I, although I will say this though, when I
- 34:19miss it, most is when I'm looking at what exists now and
- 34:23it doesn't measure up. So like I agree not with
- 34:26everything. Some things are brilliant.
- 34:27Like, you know, internet now versus internet, 15 years ago.
- 34:32Trump's it like I would much rather have internet.
- 34:35Now then internet then, right? But when it comes to things,
- 34:38like, I don't know, like architecture, you know, it's
- 34:40like kind of depressed. Sing.
- 34:43Yeah, I'd much prefer old architecture to yeah, DT.
- 34:49Nice. Why I'm slam is one of my
- 34:50favorite cities in Europe. It is the architecture there is
- 34:54just fantastic. All these beautiful old and
- 34:57there that it's a stylized form of house.
- 35:00Always on a dark night with their lights on next to a canal
- 35:03that slit with string. I'm that kind of thing.
- 35:05Just speaks to me, man. Like I'd much rather that than
- 35:08some of these houses that are, like, cubes that are adjacent.
- 35:12To each other kind of Judge. I mean I much prefer classical
- 35:15architecture in that regard. I think in Europe they have the
- 35:17right idea as well liked and what I mean by that is like if
- 35:22you take Talon in Estonia or the Czech Republic Prague
- 35:26specifically both of those places have done this thing
- 35:29where you know they have their Old Town.
- 35:33So in Tallinn Estonia you know old town is like its own thing,
- 35:38you know. And like around it is you know
- 35:41new Iraq. Picture, but not immediately
- 35:43there. There's like a bit of a
- 35:45distance, right? And the same thing is true in
- 35:49Prague, but it's a bit more pronounced because obviously
- 35:51Prague has a bigger city and you've got like this big massive
- 35:56Bridge that's like how can I explain?
- 36:01It's like a very Grand Bridge. It's incredible.
- 36:03And basically one side is like old Gothic type architecture,
- 36:08really old like Old Town basically and then you go to the
- 36:11other side. Side.
- 36:12And it's like new city and like you got older buildings there as
- 36:16well, but it's predominantly newer architecture, and it's
- 36:19kind of like, yeah, keeping those things separate, but
- 36:25blending them as well. Whereas, if you take somewhere
- 36:27like London, you know, you do have areas that are
- 36:30predominately just old stuff but I see a lot of like, yeah, you
- 36:33know, like it depressing in the last 10 years, I've seen?
- 36:36Like if you get the train into let's say.
- 36:41Past like Canary Wharf and that way right?
- 36:43Yeah. You'll see like a lot of like so
- 36:47many developments both houses our block building every
- 36:50paragraph. Yeah.
- 36:51And then every now and again you'll see like just a random
- 36:54old church sitting there miserable.
- 36:56Yeah. And I'm like, I don't know why
- 37:00it's for me. Like some people are like, oh
- 37:02it's amazing. Like look at Dubai.
- 37:03Look at how amazing that is. And it's like, yeah, but like
- 37:06Dubai, you know, there was nothing there before it was just
- 37:10too fucking dangerous. Yeah.
- 37:11And they built off that and they built something and that I
- 37:14understand. But they still have like areas
- 37:16that I like older and like not course and I don't know.
- 37:21I just yeah it's not that I hate like no I hate newer
- 37:25developments like that like I can I can go to, you know, most
- 37:30places and think it's a great. But I think just me Percy 10
- 37:34live him I like that kind of aesthetic over the house.
- 37:40I live in this world and, you know, it's it's weird what you
- 37:45say about it because Nostalgia is I think the most powerful
- 37:50thing in the world right now. I think everyone Banks almost
- 37:53Alger and I actually had a thought process the other day
- 37:57whereas like my happiest memories are in Florida when I
- 38:01was about from 13 to 15 being in Florida.
- 38:04USA. And now the thought of being in
- 38:08Florida here, terrifies. You absolutely terrifies.
- 38:13Me, I will go back one day because I'm going to do my
- 38:17Disney, my Universal thing, and I'm going to have a great talent
- 38:20but Jesus Christ. Am I going to be so much more on
- 38:23edge than I was previously? I think many of us were like
- 38:27that, like, I grew up adoring America and then when I went
- 38:31there, when I was 21, you know, I went to many places.
- 38:35One of them in particular kind of opened my eyes about what
- 38:37it's like in America, you hear the stories and stuff.
- 38:40But I think that when you actually go and experience it
- 38:43for yourself, you sit like in California California's sold is
- 38:47this, you know, California Dream.
- 38:49It's perfect everything, amazing, right?
- 38:51And then when you go there, I mean, you can say the same for
- 38:54any place in the world ever, okay, if this is the case, but
- 38:58California, especially when you look at like the proliferation
- 39:01of American Media around the world, it's really thrown out
- 39:04there has been like this This perfect place in and you go
- 39:08there and you go to places like downtown Long Beach and it's
- 39:11like you've got tons of drug addicts and homelessness and
- 39:15people unhappy and don't get me wrong.
- 39:20Don't Beach is a beautiful area. It is that have have a Pokemon
- 39:23go YouTuber, like follow for years, that lives there.
- 39:26So I've seen a lot of it through his stuff, but I think I see the
- 39:31issue with a lot of La in general.
- 39:35It's what we actually studied in geography and Hayden.
- 39:39Please. What's called a donor?
- 39:40Yeah, it was but we certainly did and it was a donut call it,
- 39:44doughnut City. Okay.
- 39:46And it's like you have the center bit that is all like the
- 39:51glitz and the Glam. Right?
- 39:54And then everything around, that is just poverty.
- 39:57Yep. And it's crazy, like, America's
- 40:01the amount of homeless people in America, it's just Crazy.
- 40:05I know obviously they have a vastly bigger population but you
- 40:10don't see that when you go on holiday, you know I meet your
- 40:13particular as a child. I think you do more now
- 40:15obviously. I think it's just sing the crap.
- 40:17Your parents do a very good job of keeping your sheltered from
- 40:20it because obviously when we when I was 21 so I'm an adult at
- 40:24that point still clueless moron but old enough to kind of
- 40:29understand what's going on and understand like the seriousness
- 40:33of things and I think the thing that made me sad is the Vault
- 40:38because you know, there's homelessness everywhere and
- 40:42people suffering and shit like that.
- 40:43You know, I've had friends who have been homeless, I've seen it
- 40:48in London, I've seen it in all sorts of places in Estonia even.
- 40:53But in America, at least where I went to, I remember talking to
- 40:59some of these people and a lot of them are really nice and, you
- 41:04know, good people just Hospitable.
- 41:07Just imagine that, you know, just hard times and and I try
- 41:11and help them wherever I could and such.
- 41:13But I remember talking to this one woman who I think she was
- 41:20like a meth addict or something like that and we would just
- 41:25talking to her and I know people going to call me crazy for this,
- 41:29but I was with someone else and she wasn't like, you know,
- 41:32scariest character ever. She's like clearly fallen on
- 41:35hard times but like not. Like the worst of the worst I
- 41:39guess and she was talking to us because we were saying like well
- 41:42what's the situation with like you're a government here or you
- 41:45know like because obviously you know UK we have like councils
- 41:49local councils like do they help?
- 41:51Yeah support and she basically just said like they do sometimes
- 41:56give money but it's like basically just worthless like
- 41:59pitiful amounts and a lot of the time you have to jump through
- 42:02hurdles to get this stuff and it's not always available and I
- 42:06But learning the same thing when I started to speak into homeless
- 42:09people in London as well. And I remember, even the area
- 42:12that I went to University, I befriended some homeless people
- 42:16and they said the same thing. They said, like I know so well
- 42:19and good people saying or go get the support, go get the help,
- 42:22it's there and it's like when you actually go through the
- 42:25processes and try to get it like for instance, there's this thing
- 42:29that you have to do. Let's say you're homeless and
- 42:32you're trying to get just a temporary place of residence.
- 42:36You have to apply on our like a register, so bear in mind.
- 42:40Like you got nowhere to be right now.
- 42:43Nowhere to go like maybe some places like he's into that or
- 42:46phone. A lot of the time with that too.
- 42:49But also like, just look at the basics like you're sleeping on
- 42:51the streets. Let's say it's midst of winter
- 42:54and it's harsh weather generally mean, right?
- 42:58Some places will have more, you know, develops facilities and
- 43:03stuff. So you might have somewhere to
- 43:04go but then there's the issue of overcrowding.
- 43:06It's not always necessarily available to you but also first
- 43:11of those places that don't have that you've got this like this
- 43:14system in place, sort of like the the council house system
- 43:19similar concept you're on a waiting list so you could be on
- 43:22that waiting list for fucking potentially years and never find
- 43:26a place and all that, while you're homeless, you know,
- 43:30you've got to try and make ends meet, you got a and like the
- 43:33whole time like Society is getting more and more.
- 43:40Less sort of caring and yeah, I'm generalizing a little bit
- 43:43here. I realize not everyone is like
- 43:45that. Lots of people do, you know
- 43:48donations, they do initiatives to help people and stuff and
- 43:52there's a lot of good in the world, but I'm just saying,
- 43:54like, your average person probably has the attitude of
- 43:57like, oh, I'm going to give money to the homeless because,
- 44:00you know, they'll just use it to spend money on drugs or they'll
- 44:03do this or do that. And it's just a like that.
- 44:08Now, It's and it's just putting it to give you an example as
- 44:12well, right? Let's say you're in that
- 44:15scenario that I just laid out right there.
- 44:17Yeah. Where it's winter.
- 44:19You've got nowhere to go, you're going to be freezing your ass
- 44:23off. I'll tell you this much, if
- 44:25you're in a cold country, right. The very first like I know when
- 44:28I was in Estonia, the very first thing I would say if I was said
- 44:30I was really, really cold or coming down with a cold, they
- 44:33say, Okay, drink some vodka and it's not a joke or anything.
- 44:36It's a scientific thing that, you know, actually obviously He
- 44:41eats you up, you know, it kind of brings the temperature down
- 44:44then bring it up again, so it's actually keeping you warm.
- 44:46Hence, why a lot of people might decide to go down that route
- 44:50because it actually keeps them alive.
- 44:53And it's not just about getting, you know, getting a Nellie's off
- 44:55and getting drunk at there is actually some logic to it.
- 44:59So if you've got nuts a well that's all tomorrow, and he's
- 45:08just sleeping. People are idiots is where
- 45:10they're like, oh I'm gonna give money to the homeless because
- 45:13they're doing drugs and it's like, yeah, but what do you do
- 45:14on a weekend partly? Exact same fucking thing that
- 45:21you see in this country. Yeah.
- 45:23Is that there is a massive demand for housing now, right?
- 45:25But the housing that is being built, is not affordable.
- 45:28Housing, none is given to people who are homeless, there's
- 45:34nothing to do with that. That situation at all.
- 45:37There are a Ridiculous amount. I don't have this the statistic
- 45:41but there are ridiculous amount of homes in the UK that have no
- 45:45be living at them. Yeah, I know this is ridiculous.
- 45:47So much space out there. There is, there are homes for
- 45:52people and they are blocked behind, ridiculous, pay walls
- 45:55that I can't afford the full time job.
- 45:57I can't afford to live in most of these places.
- 45:59So, how is someone sleeping on the streets going to be able to
- 46:02afford that there's no support system in place?
- 46:05It's all this housing is just structured for And there's
- 46:09nothing there to try and help people and it sucks, dude.
- 46:13But it's one of the things literally it's awful.
- 46:18One of the things that annoys me the most actually on that topic
- 46:21is I know there are certain places in London where certain
- 46:25streets where it like they're all owned by like foreign
- 46:28investors like Saudi investors and stuff, who are never there
- 46:33right? Like never there come home.
- 46:35Well if that like a lot of the time Easily.
- 46:39There just are not occupied like you said.
- 46:41So they're literally just owned to make money to monopolize
- 46:45monopolize, you know, as, as like assets essentially yes.
- 46:50Like, well, you know, if you're not going to, I think there
- 46:52should be some rule in place for that.
- 46:54Like, if it's not actively being used and you shouldn't be
- 46:56allowed to own it or like you should be forced to, like,
- 46:59maybe. Yeah, to written up to provide
- 47:02it for the homeless, maybe you should know, maybe that's and
- 47:04then they worked it and they rented for prices that nobly
- 47:08conversion or renting Maybe they have to like legally, you can
- 47:11put a law in place to legally, force them to others.
- 47:14There is a thing. Now, where I think with a lot of
- 47:16places, a lot of councils to, for any new estate that's built.
- 47:20You have to give like, 20% to social housing.
- 47:25It's like 20 Council housing, but one that isn't enough more.
- 47:30People need Council housing now because rents are so expensive.
- 47:34You know, it's not easy to and property more and more people
- 47:38rely on it. There is a greater need and
- 47:41Council housing. Does not really do a lot for
- 47:45homeless people in that regard either like to apply to be on a
- 47:49council house list. You need to have access to the
- 47:52internet. You have a computer, you can sit
- 47:55down and go through these forms to do how you doing that as a
- 47:59homeless person like it's it's every odds stacked against them.
- 48:06And it's cruel, man. It's like there's no helping
- 48:09hand for people like that anymore.
- 48:11You have these wonderful organizations that do House
- 48:14people. It's Charities, and whatnot, and
- 48:16they're doing far more generally than the color ones.
- 48:19We can name, drop things. Obviously, I know, it's pretty
- 48:22good one, but you find a lot of other Salvation.
- 48:27Army, of course. Hmm.
- 48:31You know, there's a fair, there's a fair few places and
- 48:34You know, they need more support from the government.
- 48:36The end of the day, they need to have more funding.
- 48:40They need to have a say in things.
- 48:42Like, when they're building new housing Estates, there is a
- 48:44section of it, that is reserved for them and permanent housing
- 48:48people. But, you know, I'm not going to
- 48:50sit here and, and talk about why I should be running the country
- 48:55because I have some shouldn't just Hatcher for prime minister.
- 48:59I'm God, can you imagine more hot?
- 49:01No, no no no, no. All right, the Think I'm doing
- 49:04National Sonic fast? No, no National Sonic day.
- 49:10I am reversing okay. ID checks on energy drinks in
- 49:15supermarkets. Okay, look just by first enough
- 49:19just because you look about ourselves.
- 49:21Listen, I know, but I don't - everywhere idea.
- 49:27Jesus Christ, it's just painful, do you even do?
- 49:31Get id'd, even if you have a bid.
- 49:35Well one, I thank you for calling this a beard.
- 49:39This little, this little thing sometimes.
- 49:43I remember, I've had people say to me like, why are you putting
- 49:46your idea out my? Alright, fair enough, I have a
- 49:48lot of other people like I see your ID and I'm like, I've got
- 49:51facial hair and they're like, no, no, no, I need to see your
- 49:53ID, so, you know it's a mixed bag.
- 49:55I remember when I was about 20, I don't know if I've told this
- 49:57story in the podcast before or at all actually, but basically I
- 50:02was about I was definitely early 20s or late teens like I looked
- 50:10old enough. Okay definitely enough like okay
- 50:14look so I was trying to get like Lottery scratch cards.
- 50:17I had a little phase where I was kind of addicted to them that's
- 50:20super addictive by the way. So because yeah, they are just
- 50:23right. And I didn't waste too much.
- 50:25But I wasted a little bit and I was trying to be waiting up.
- 50:30Yeah, but I think I wasted like 30 40 pounds until Yeah, it
- 50:35wasn't a like, I let my lesson. I was like, yeah, this is a bit
- 50:38silly, but it was like someone had told me, like, you're gonna
- 50:41get addicted. I was like, no, I don't worry
- 50:42own and then before, you know it, you know, because it builds
- 50:45up like, I wouldn't like bet that much.
- 50:47Like in one go, I would, you know, fiber here 5 here and then
- 50:50it would just get completely. But this one time I go to this
- 50:55stool in Uxbridge, Kingdom of hooks.
- 50:59Oh, that's rich. Or poor Oxbridge, Steiner death.
- 51:04Anyway, it's just not what it was.
- 51:06But anyway, let's I don't talk about depression.
- 51:09So I who I was there and I was trying to get served for a
- 51:14scratch card and I think you have to be.
- 51:17I think 16 or 15. Yeah, they had to be 15.
- 51:21It's very weird. That the only thing we have to
- 51:23be 15 years old. Some of them are 18 maybe now,
- 51:27but this was like probably like eight years ago.
- 51:31He's a minute, maybe less. But they were like, yeah, I'm
- 51:37going to need to see some ID and I just started laughing like,
- 51:40you know, I can. Oh yeah, very funny.
- 51:42And he was like, no, no, for real.
- 51:43And I'm like, okay, let and as a backup for second, right?
- 51:47Because I know what you're doing.
- 51:49But like I said, I looked at this guy right in the face and I
- 51:51was like that. Do you honestly think that I'm
- 51:55not 15? That's like look at me.
- 52:00Just, just look at me for a second.
- 52:02Jesus crowd one. And I was like, are you kidding
- 52:05me? He didn't embarrass but he still
- 52:09wouldn't Serbian. I was liar, right on, I'll just
- 52:11go to that store over there then, but like I wasn't trying
- 52:16to be a knob because I know that like, you get ideas for stuff
- 52:19but like, I genuinely looked away old.
- 52:22I might have even had a beard. I can't remember.
- 52:24But, you know, I look definitely looked old enough, so sometimes
- 52:29these things kind of annoy me. I mean, I used to work in a
- 52:31supermarket back in the day and I remember someone getting
- 52:34caught by that Challenge, 25 rule thing and I was clearly,
- 52:38like, 30 years old. He was about 7 foot.
- 52:42It was embarrassing. He didn't have his ID and it's
- 52:44obviously is like me. It's like, you know, you stop
- 52:46carrying it after a while because it's like, you don't
- 52:49need it. Like if I got id'd now, I'd be
- 52:52flattered but I just be like, that's a bit ridiculous.
- 52:55I mean, I've got like wrinkles here like and white hair so you
- 52:58can you I always have my ID on me.
- 53:01Where did enough as you look about five?
- 53:03So that's understandable. But then like I've always found,
- 53:08it's not when I've been in those situations and I've been like a
- 53:12bit pissy about it, not not pissy pissy.
- 53:15But you know, I mean it's not them.
- 53:17I'm pissed that it's just the sods law that the one time.
- 53:22Yeah. Like don't bring my idea how
- 53:24they are. See it because I'll be honest,
- 53:25like, very ready. I do get asked for it now but I
- 53:28always, I pull my wallet and my passport, I always carry my
- 53:32passport. Weird, I know, but it's a to my
- 53:34back pocket for like 10 years and always Never lost it so
- 53:37bucket and I always pull them both out at the same time and I
- 53:41think it must be a thing of like if they have any shadow of a
- 53:44doubt in their mind, the fact that I'm pulling out my ID as I
- 53:47pull out, my wallet means they just come over to check it.
- 53:49Like they know that point you're not going to pull out a passport
- 53:53to be underage. I so I very rarely do but it's
- 53:57always that one time that one time, I don't have it for some
- 54:01reason. I've left it at home. /, can I
- 54:03see some ID? It's a good.
- 54:05It's a good poem. So true you can fix game is so
- 54:10true. It has happened to me so many
- 54:12times. I can't remember one time.
- 54:14And this is, I think this is it comes down to like where you go
- 54:18as well. Like, I remember being invited
- 54:21to like a work trip. I think I was working in the
- 54:23supermarket at the time. So I was quite young.
- 54:25It's like 19, 20, ish, and a lot of these places.
- 54:32I think had she had to be 20. What I think I was no, was, I
- 54:35was just shy of 21, but I think it's either 21 or 18.
- 54:40I can't remember, it's very confusing, but I was in
- 54:42Leicester Square and we were a comedy show and I forgot to
- 54:47bring my ID, I genuinely just got.
- 54:50And I was, I was dating someone at the time and they had theirs
- 54:53and They refused to allow me out because they didn't have it and
- 54:59I was like shit and I walked away and I was talking to my
- 55:03ex-girlfriend at the time and she was just like, why didn't
- 55:05you bring? Are you an idiot or something
- 55:07like, you know, I'm not trying to be mean, but like how come on
- 55:09like we're in London. Like, and I was like, I just
- 55:12didn't think I just because you don't you, like, you get to a
- 55:16certain age where you're just like, oh my God, I did.
- 55:18And like I guess that was kind of my thing when I realized I
- 55:21didn't have it. I was like, well, there's a
- 55:23chance, they'll say, no. But I mean, come on.
- 55:25Olli and basically it took a lot of gravel groveling for one of
- 55:29my managers to, to the bouncer, to try and get me in, but my
- 55:34God, in the end, I got in. Luckily, but that that was a
- 55:38perfect example of like the place that you're at is, is
- 55:42everything. But like, I don't know,
- 55:43sometimes it's silly. Like I was, I remember it was my
- 55:47birthday a couple of years ago. It was in the Tesco and okay,
- 55:51fair enough. This is a student town.
- 55:53So you can make the argument that our case some students.
- 55:55It's a younger and such, but like, again, I think you have to
- 55:58use your common sense, particularly if you work in a
- 56:00supermarket, like, I think, I don't think I ever id'd anyone
- 56:04when I worked in a supermarket because everyone looked old
- 56:07enough and I'm sorry people teenagers, don't try in
- 56:11supermarkets, you try it in like a knife license or something.
- 56:15Yeah, Jimena mean saved Mark? Yeah, like people can spot you a
- 56:19mile away and I know they do The Challenge 25 thing fine.
- 56:23But this is ridiculous. Like Okay so We've done all this
- 56:27shopping. I've got my ex-girlfriend with
- 56:28me. She's to my right.
- 56:30She doesn't have her ID, but I do write.
- 56:33But this is my birthday. I'm buying everything like it's
- 56:37fine. What's the issue, right?
- 56:38We get all of the stuff scanned. And this is what kind of annoy
- 56:45me, because, if this was going to happen, and the woman kind of
- 56:48saw, the alcohol, felt like she decided to scan the alcohol last
- 56:52after everything had been scanned and then say, yeah, I'm
- 56:55going to need See your ideas well to my ex and my exercise.
- 56:58Well, I don't have my ID and again my ex looked older than me
- 57:04even no offense. Yeah, watching that's not how I
- 57:07mean it but like she looks, you know, like a very mature woman
- 57:10and quite clearly in her mid-20s same with me.
- 57:14Like it was ridiculous and we just got refused.
- 57:17And I never forget what the woman said she was.
- 57:21She's one of those like mousey women.
- 57:22That's like jobs work type of person.
- 57:24She's like, Oh no, no no. You know I can't serve you.
- 57:28It's not worth my job. It's not worth losing.
- 57:31I was like yeah your job isn't worth shit.
- 57:33Like come on man. Can't have any mean but like
- 57:39come on you're not gonna get in trouble for serving us.
- 57:43Alcohol. Yeah like as if just yeah I mean
- 57:48I had one download festival and it was ridiculous.
- 57:52So you know, there's a co-op, you can go to Like you can come
- 57:57you can get like a little coach from download Festival to a
- 58:00co-op up. The road get like surprises.
- 58:05It's a big Co-op first, supermarket.
- 58:09And I went there with two of my friends and they were bout 22
- 58:14girls. They're both early 20s.
- 58:17I'm 25 at this point. I've still got the I've got this
- 58:19facial hair, right? And I go to this Co-op and I've
- 58:24got my ID now. Now I went there to get tobacco
- 58:28and general food and supplies fight back at Camp.
- 58:32So I said to my friend before went in, I forgot my dear.
- 58:35Would you mind getting them grabbing my backe for me but his
- 58:3720 quid. Can you sort that?
- 58:38She was like yeah, that's fine. So I went did my shopping and
- 58:43therefore cancer monster. Oh, I get to tell and this
- 58:50jobsworth old woman, Starts having says, I caught sight of
- 58:54you. I was like, I have facial hair
- 58:58and she wasn't. No, I can't say as I have the 18
- 59:01plus wristband for download Festival.
- 59:03So no, no, I can't serve you as. Like that's you taking the piss
- 59:07out early over 16 and she's like, no, it's Challenge 25.
- 59:11It's okay. I'm 25.
- 59:12And this is my problem with this rule, right.
- 59:15Because the whole point of Challenge, 25 is not to prove if
- 59:18the person is 25 or not. It's to put its to sort of leave
- 59:23There is no doubt at all. That the person is under 18,
- 59:27that's the whole point. So it's like by looking at them
- 59:29and saying, do they look 25? Then it's like, okay, there's no
- 59:32doubt but like the law is still 18.
- 59:35Well, no, it's monster is 16. Yeah, I know, I know, but I'm
- 59:38just saying like, that whole 60 years old and said, oh no.
- 59:41I can't see it. I can't serve it to you unless
- 59:43you have ID. Now, if I'm telling you now one
- 59:46that will go further, right? So I give it to my friend.
- 59:49I was like, can you just buy this for me?
- 59:51And she's like, if you do that, That I will have to call the
- 59:53police and I was like, okay, and she just went to another check
- 59:58out and just bought it all. And then she was like, can you
- 1:00:02you, you can't sell that to us because he hasn't got ID and
- 1:00:06this woman just looked at me I'm just like No, it's fine.
- 1:00:11I'll see you later. Yeah, but the thing was, I all
- 1:00:13I'm going to call the police. I was all right.
- 1:00:15Do you know who the pool, please?
- 1:00:16I've got my monsters in my bag with my shopping.
- 1:00:19I'll see you later. They can find me at download
- 1:00:21Festival. I got my back to download.
- 1:00:24Simple. Listen, if I've got a legend, if
- 1:00:27you've got cause about that as well, like the police it's, you
- 1:00:30know, as the police want to turn my turn up, it down over small
- 1:00:33and say that I have wasn't a tea that I wasn't 16.
- 1:00:40Get you. Lots of them really good low,
- 1:00:42not even that. I'm just saying, like, if I was
- 1:00:44working for the place and I got a call from the local
- 1:00:46supermarket saying, there's a kid here was he doesn't like he
- 1:00:50looks underage. I'd just be like, don't waste
- 1:00:52our time. I've got ye, you know, a
- 1:00:54murderer robberies. All this shit happening don't
- 1:00:58waste any little village by download Festival.
- 1:01:01So they're going to go over what I'd also like anyone is Going
- 1:01:11like, as soon as they're like our energy drink or whatever
- 1:01:13like that, no cocks going to Care.
- 1:01:16Like there are going to be. Let's be honest, there's gonna
- 1:01:18be a very small percentage of people at download Festival
- 1:01:21below the age of 16. Yeah.
- 1:01:24Like I deleted, the kids can take your kids with you stuff,
- 1:01:28you know, going back to the British band should be like
- 1:01:34enough. You know to mean yes fucking
- 1:01:38shit God. I love those wristbands man.
- 1:01:42Oh I see. So I think I've got some of mine
- 1:01:45somewhere. Yeah it's a lot.
- 1:01:48I put Minotaur I have one on my think.
- 1:01:52I remember correctly. I have it on one of my guitars.
- 1:01:56I've got like a bunch of them. And God I'm so lame.
- 1:02:01So basically I've been having multiple Towers.
- 1:02:04That's kind of Class A nice I'm talking about, right?
- 1:02:07The lanes part is that I've got like, you know, like you're
- 1:02:09strapped, right? Yeah.
- 1:02:11And then for whatever reason, with one of the parts of the
- 1:02:15strap, the bit that goes on the upper part of the guitar I've
- 1:02:18put on your shoelace through that.
- 1:02:22I think are the reason. Okay, the reason for this is
- 1:02:25that the could sometimes when you buy, excuse me, an acoustic
- 1:02:27guitar, it doesn't always have two points to hang a strap off.
- 1:02:33So you always have the one on the bottom, but you don't always
- 1:02:35necessarily have The one at the top.
- 1:02:36Yeah, so my idea and I've done this with some guitars before is
- 1:02:40and sometimes it's good for attention reasons as well to
- 1:02:43make the strings tighter if you want to get like a capo effect
- 1:02:48without a capo and such. Yeah.
- 1:02:50But you you I got the shoelaces tied through the top end, and
- 1:02:55then with that, I tied the Festival bands around that.
- 1:03:01So it looks all pretty and stuff.
- 1:03:03And then I've tied that around the bridge of the Tar.
- 1:03:07So it hangs off the flame. I don't know.
- 1:03:11Sick as having like some more history.
- 1:03:13Maybe I don't hate your instrument.
- 1:03:15I digged out mum. I've done is.
- 1:03:17It's very. It's very like Busker.
- 1:03:20Yes. Kind of Yeah, what people hating
- 1:03:26on that Vibe? Honestly, people hating anything
- 1:03:28man Council climbing, Hatcher don't say that don't will it
- 1:03:36people will cancel anyone for anything these days and actually
- 1:03:39I might make you our plan on getting cancelled so I can then
- 1:03:41come back. I mean, I will say one thing
- 1:03:45about cancel culture because I've spoken about it a few times
- 1:03:47on the podcast with certain guests.
- 1:03:49Yeah, if you do get people cancer, like, I mean, I remember
- 1:03:54this, when James Charles was so getting cancelled.
- 1:03:57Originally, I remember, I remember care.
- 1:04:01So, I did a video on him and he was just mocking him, but it was
- 1:04:03kind of funny because it was true, right?
- 1:04:05So load your people was unsubscribing from James
- 1:04:09Charles. I think like 100k in a week or
- 1:04:11Chef, right? Ty West recording my Predator,
- 1:04:15right? But when they will cares, I was
- 1:04:17looking at his his social blade. And while James Charles was
- 1:04:24losing Subs, he was getting tons of use like, oh, yeah, JJ was
- 1:04:31like, yeah, you know, man's losing Subs, but he's getting
- 1:04:34paid and he's like, and he just starts like listing off all of
- 1:04:38these like Beauty glamour YouTubers and been like fuck.
- 1:04:43Fuck this one. This one.
- 1:04:46Fuck. This one.
- 1:04:46Like, give me all the money kind of attitude, it was funny.
- 1:04:51Yeah. Like cancel culture is a very
- 1:04:55strange then. I feel that people on the
- 1:04:57internet have lost, the meaning of the word context, I also do
- 1:05:04think cancel cultural works. I think if you for the cancel,
- 1:05:10someone Are they going to be Apollo?
- 1:05:13Are they going to actually be apologetic for the thing?
- 1:05:15You tried to cancel them for or is that going to build a greater
- 1:05:18hate and resentment as that thing took everything from them
- 1:05:24education is always better. Education is always the way to
- 1:05:28go with things and some people, you can't educate.
- 1:05:30I understand that. Some people are so set in their
- 1:05:32ways or whatever, or their views that you will never educate
- 1:05:34them. But I think it's always better
- 1:05:37to offer someone the chance to learn from mistake.
- 1:05:41And deal with it and move on, and grow as a person.
- 1:05:44Now, with certain things, you can't do that.
- 1:05:46There are certain things and this is why, I mean, that
- 1:05:48context, if someone makes rape jokes, I've because obviously,
- 1:05:52this has come up recently. I don't know if you know about
- 1:05:54this with Dan Harmon, the the creator of Rick and Morty and
- 1:05:58old skin of his come out again, where he is being Castle.
- 1:06:02Now, this kit has already come out, originally.
- 1:06:03He makes quite a few rape jokes in this kid weighs about
- 1:06:06someone. Breaking, someone he has this
- 1:06:08has come up previously and he has apologized.
- 1:06:11He has made a mistake on it and now it's coming up again.
- 1:06:16I'm not even a Rick and Morty fan but like why don't know
- 1:06:19where ice? He's like, she should jury will
- 1:06:26talk about Michael Jackson earlier.
- 1:06:28I personally don't listen to Michael Jackson's music anymore
- 1:06:30because I watch Finding Neverland and and I that I might
- 1:06:35do, you know what, he's cancelled from my life
- 1:06:37personally, but then you have things like Jenna Marbles did
- 1:06:41blackface on YouTube many, many years ago.
- 1:06:45Has apologized for it multiple times.
- 1:06:48Since then, how content in those years has reflected that she is
- 1:06:52not that person. He or she is completely left
- 1:06:55member states. You never should have done it.
- 1:06:56I will say that on the whole brand on the black face thing,
- 1:07:01like there's, obviously some historical context for this
- 1:07:04because there were like certain groups like the black and white
- 1:07:07Minstrel show. People might not know this, but
- 1:07:09in the UK, there was a show for many years, I think, a 30 years
- 1:07:12it was like an institution on British television.
- 1:07:15And and famously, the actors would tour rack.
- 1:07:17They toured around the UK until I think at least 90s early 2000s
- 1:07:23like long time stage. Yeah.
- 1:07:25Even after the show heard had ended but there is historical
- 1:07:30significance of it and when you know I don't ever think
- 1:07:33blackface is a particularly good idea, but I don't think it's
- 1:07:36always necessarily initiated for like racist intentions because I
- 1:07:41think there's there's two sides like this.
- 1:07:45Engines. If there's two sides to this,
- 1:07:47right? There's the side of like, if
- 1:07:48you're trying to play a character and that character
- 1:07:53happens to be, you know, black or of color, right?
- 1:07:57And you're a white actor, then you can argue like, okay, this
- 1:08:02is why they've done this, right? Like I can think of many TV
- 1:08:04shows where they did that. Like for instance, they're
- 1:08:07trying to cancel Little Britain and come fly with me now and
- 1:08:13I've got very mixed opinions about it.
- 1:08:15Because I feel like maybe I would feel different if I was a
- 1:08:17black man. Maybe I would feel differently
- 1:08:19watching this and I would would feel offended.
- 1:08:22I don't know because I'm not black co-exist, but I feel in
- 1:08:25that sense the people that are being racist.
- 1:08:28So what if we took by like Marjorie Marjorie doors and fat
- 1:08:32fighters? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:35Harry is a. I believe she is an Indian lady
- 1:08:40in it. If I did wrong on that.
- 1:08:43Say I apologize. And the Joe, one of the jokes
- 1:08:46with her is the fact that she can't understand what she says
- 1:08:49because she has a very thick accent, right?
- 1:08:54Look at the comedy of that thing.
- 1:08:56Look at that sketch or every time it comes up, we laughing at
- 1:09:01the Indian lady. No, no, we're laughing blatant.
- 1:09:06Stupid racist. What?
- 1:09:08This this is this is kind of the whole point of it as well.
- 1:09:11Like I feel like because David walliams and Matt Lucas that
- 1:09:15regardless of what you think of them, they are very intelligent
- 1:09:19Comedians. And I always felt like with
- 1:09:21those sketch. Like some of them did go
- 1:09:23overboard. And I think like some of them
- 1:09:25could have been axed and it, you know, that was kind of fine kind
- 1:09:28of thing. But like, particularly towards
- 1:09:30the end of Little Britain, it got really hot.
- 1:09:32Yeah, particular apples. And then with that like that
- 1:09:35character. Yeah.
- 1:09:36Bubbles was a bit crazy. But that character that you just
- 1:09:39mentioned, like, I always felt that the whole point of that
- 1:09:41character was that, you know, you get people like that in
- 1:09:43society. And I feel like, often comedians
- 1:09:47normally Source their content from real life situations
- 1:09:50people. They've met like, Ricky Gervais
- 1:09:54I shall commentary, right? Ricky Gervais based his David
- 1:09:57Brent character on an old manager that he'd had or various
- 1:10:01managers that he had. And he kind of had this idea in
- 1:10:04mind of this particular type of person that he dealt with in the
- 1:10:07past and he wanted to like showcase that and I felt like
- 1:10:10we're Little Britain and come fly with me a lot of the time.
- 1:10:13That was the point. It was never intended to be
- 1:10:15racist. I think it was trying to portray
- 1:10:18certain characters and stuff. Yeah and come fly with me is an
- 1:10:23interesting one. You had em foot immigration
- 1:10:25officer? Yeah.
- 1:10:27Who is a full-blown racist. Yeah.
- 1:10:31But that's the point of the character because it's absurd,
- 1:10:36but it's kind of a thing of like, oh, border force or a bit
- 1:10:38racist. Okay.
- 1:10:39So let's show you someone who works in border control.
- 1:10:42That is the most blatant stereotype races you can find.
- 1:10:46And it's because what the fuck is this guy?
- 1:10:50This is absolutely ridiculous. But he actually He says in the
- 1:10:55show if it's not white, sorry if it's white, it's right, okay?
- 1:11:00Like no Howard surd stupid. Yeah, that's why it's funny.
- 1:11:07See, and that's because we agree with it because we so strongly
- 1:11:10disagree with it, I think, and that's kind of how you can be.
- 1:11:14Like, it's actually people like this that exists in the world
- 1:11:17where I felt like, I was always the point with those shows was
- 1:11:21to kind of say, like, call out those people and be like, hey,
- 1:11:23yeah. I know you exist and we're
- 1:11:25mocking you, we're mocking. Yeah.
- 1:11:26You like racist sneaker because this is the joke, but 100 these
- 1:11:31this is what I mean about mixed feelings because like I that's
- 1:11:34generally how I feel about it but the same time you know,
- 1:11:40like, There's there's arguments like, you know, there's not
- 1:11:44enough representation in the industry in terms of black
- 1:11:47actors and stuff and I agree I definitely there can be more and
- 1:11:51there should be more but the you know there's so many elements
- 1:11:54that it's like for instance, voice actor, stepping down
- 1:11:59because they feel it's racist to play a certain character.
- 1:12:02I mean Yeah, I'm the same like I'm kind of caught in many
- 1:12:10different Minds about this because I think yeah.
- 1:12:14It's like I don't want people to feel offended.
- 1:12:16I don't want people to feel like I don't want people to sit and
- 1:12:18watch these types of programs and feel like, what I'm a black
- 1:12:21person and I feel offended by that because that's horrible.
- 1:12:24No one wants to feel that way. I agree that I think it is good
- 1:12:28to preface as we as we say, she know, like but it's like one of
- 1:12:31the greatest things about being human though is is being able.
- 1:12:34To mock oneself and mock each other.
- 1:12:36And you like the hundred percent, right?
- 1:12:39And I've always felt like the whole point of it is like it's
- 1:12:42the difference between being in on the joke and being the butt
- 1:12:44of joke. Yes.
- 1:12:46You know what it was like when I was at school?
- 1:12:48You know, if people were bullying me that to me, I could
- 1:12:54recognize a difference. If it was banter, we, you know,
- 1:12:57we all kind of joke and we move to each other and then it stops
- 1:13:01like you talk about this funny enough in the episode a couple
- 1:13:04of Today's episode of the podcast that dropped, I talked
- 1:13:06about my experiences getting bullied at school and I kind of
- 1:13:10spoke about how people turned. You know, for all is the
- 1:13:13i-screamer, it turns blue it turn from people who are
- 1:13:19supposed to be my friends. You know, they kept referencing.
- 1:13:22This is Banter, this is fun, this is joke, it's not like this
- 1:13:26and then it changed from being like you know, everyone
- 1:13:30attacking everyone to targeted bullying.
- 1:13:34And then I just realized it was always just me.
- 1:13:36It stopped being other people use just because I was an easy
- 1:13:38target. And then it was only me.
- 1:13:42And I was like, okay, I realize even back then, I was like,
- 1:13:45yeah, this is bullying. This is what this is.
- 1:13:47Yeah. So, I don't know.
- 1:13:48Like, I feel like if you're not part of the joke, then that's
- 1:13:53kind of the key side of it and I don't know, like I feel like a
- 1:13:58lot of these programs. Like, I think I said this I
- 1:14:03don't know where I said this, I might have said this in a video,
- 1:14:06I don't remember. But I kind of said that, you
- 1:14:07know, I feel like if you don't actively promote these these
- 1:14:11These Old programs, I think that's fine.
- 1:14:14But I don't think eradicating them is a good idea either.
- 1:14:17I mean there's certain certain program like the black-and-white
- 1:14:20minstrel show. Yeah, I don't then that should
- 1:14:22be celebrating. That's just outright racism
- 1:14:25right there. I don't care that it has like
- 1:14:27show tunes and you know, it's like it shouldn't have existed
- 1:14:30in the first place. Actual black facing.
- 1:14:33Like I think the jury's out on that one because I think we know
- 1:14:38it's Rob. Like it's just like, but in the
- 1:14:40opposite has been the case. If you've seen those movies, is
- 1:14:45it white chicks? Is that the movie?
- 1:14:47I don't agree with that either. I'm sorry.
- 1:14:49I don't agree with that either. I don't agree with Robert Downey
- 1:14:53jr. Like blowing Tropic Thunder.
- 1:14:56Yeah I get that is all comedy and all that kind of stuff but I
- 1:15:01just I think it's one of those things that were people know,
- 1:15:04you don't do it and people have known that for quite some time
- 1:15:07at this point. I think if you're doing it now,
- 1:15:09you're asking for trouble like because he's been clearly
- 1:15:12established by by black people that they find it offensive.
- 1:15:16So don't do it okay. I guess that's kind of the key
- 1:15:19then isn't it? I mean if if we all kind of
- 1:15:21agree like okay we just move on, we don't do this.
- 1:15:25I think we I think we are at that point now but telling
- 1:15:30people up on it in the I don't know.
- 1:15:33It doesn't offend me personally, so I don't know writing.
- 1:15:36You can make that argument if, but because you're not a black
- 1:15:39person, that's why you're not offended.
- 1:15:42Yeah, yeah, exactly already. Your opinion is already kind of
- 1:15:45compromised in, in that same. So, it's traffic.
- 1:15:48I said, you know, I acknowledge that racism is a massive.
- 1:15:50Massive issue in this world is one one of the leading things we
- 1:15:53need to deal with. There are other things as well
- 1:15:56that we need to do. Is just I feel just as
- 1:15:58importantly and it's like, for instance, there was a funny
- 1:16:01funny little while ago, I About. So last year down there
- 1:16:04Festival. I posted a picture of all my
- 1:16:06food and everything. I've got ready to go by James
- 1:16:09post pictures for the download group on Facebook.
- 1:16:11Everyone was doing it. You know, there's a weekend
- 1:16:13before last. I plan to sell your filter.
- 1:16:16Yeah. Well, that kind of shit and I to
- 1:16:18cat to a to multi packs of monster.
- 1:16:21The Molly Baxter, boxes are full in that thing and my good friend
- 1:16:26Joe coming. It as like you're gonna have a
- 1:16:29diabetic attack and this Go in this group opened the fuck up at
- 1:16:36him and was like, yo, this is so offensive to me as a type 1
- 1:16:41diabetic. I think it's disgusting.
- 1:16:43You would speak like this. You don't know the struggles.
- 1:16:45You have to go through every day and I'll spend High.
- 1:16:48He's my best mate and I'm a type 1 diabetic.
- 1:16:50I don't need you to be offended for me and you need to figure
- 1:16:53out like what it is. This offended you by this.
- 1:16:56Because actually it's something that you'll probably within your
- 1:16:59control to deal with. This is a comment made.
- 1:17:02Talk to me, this wasn't made towards you.
- 1:17:04And if you had looked at either the profiles, you would have
- 1:17:08seen that. We are mutual friend.
- 1:17:09You would have seen loads of acknowledgement and the fact
- 1:17:11that I commented underneath before that, so in like, Lolo, I
- 1:17:16think we've got low low low, I'm going to keep some sweets with
- 1:17:18you or something in case I fall over.
- 1:17:20But yeah, like this, don't worry.
- 1:17:21I'll have a insulin know this shit.
- 1:17:23She just went home and I was like, yo, this was not aimed at
- 1:17:28you. This was comedy between two
- 1:17:30friends stop. Trying to be offended.
- 1:17:33And I had one, as well, recently in a group as to do with autism.
- 1:17:38And it's like someone posted as an Autism meme be as as someone
- 1:17:43who is on that Spectrum found it quite funny so you really I
- 1:17:45thought. Yeah.
- 1:17:47And I thought that was weird. What do you have?
- 1:17:49You have like Asperger's or something?
- 1:17:51And now that was his mm, but very kind of I'm from do it, but
- 1:17:55then then, okay. I might, yeah, I thought it was
- 1:17:59quite funny. Why can't why not?
- 1:18:01It was it's relatable to autistics teaching memes by
- 1:18:05Vive. Did I found it?
- 1:18:06Kind of run everyone away. And I was just like, you know
- 1:18:08what, I can I can have a good chocolate this and this guy was
- 1:18:13running around basically can gaming anyone like sending them
- 1:18:17hate direct message. Absolutely.
- 1:18:23And he was like and I was like Honestly though he was a how
- 1:18:27dare you condone this? I was like well I found it funny
- 1:18:29and like Someone that suffers from this and I personally found
- 1:18:33the humid outside try and take yourself out of it.
- 1:18:35You know, we try to see the bright the lighter side of
- 1:18:38things and it might just be a bit Beverly.
- 1:18:39I was very careful with ourselves.
- 1:18:41Like, you know, it might just try taking a look at it from
- 1:18:43Another Side and you might see a bit of the humor in it.
- 1:18:45I personally found a bit funny considering and but you know I
- 1:18:49don't think it's any harm any foul and then this other person
- 1:18:53came in that told me that it was awful and I just had to put it
- 1:18:55seems like starting okay, stop being offended.
- 1:18:58For me, I don't need you to be a Offending for me.
- 1:19:01I found it funny as someone who suffers from this, please stop.
- 1:19:06I don't need you to be offended for me.
- 1:19:09And the amount of people underneath it would just like, I
- 1:19:11have so much respect for this. I've so so much respect for this
- 1:19:15because like people are going on the internet to be offended for
- 1:19:19other people. And if I can take about joke, a
- 1:19:22joke about things that I suffer from like, I don't need you to
- 1:19:27be offended for me and I feel there is this massive movement.
- 1:19:30Now of I'm going to go out there and I'm going to be offended by
- 1:19:34someone and I feel very often. We don't hear the people's that.
- 1:19:37It actually affects and offends agree with that because of
- 1:19:41random people on Twitter that just feel like this issue pisses
- 1:19:44them off today. Hello, do you know what I say?
- 1:19:48I would just love to hear from the actual people it offends and
- 1:19:52with what you've learned to stand, what I like.
- 1:19:56Kind of you kind of speak into the point.
- 1:19:58I was making before that, like, in terms of the people actually
- 1:20:01affects, those are, obviously, the people you want to be
- 1:20:06focusing on first, of all, most, right?
- 1:20:08And like, I gotta say, like, let's say, like 80% of my black
- 1:20:12friends that like, when something like this comes up,
- 1:20:15when it when something is like, oh they're going to cancel this
- 1:20:17thing. Most of my boyfriend's really
- 1:20:19don't give a shit like they're like whatever this isn't
- 1:20:22defensive and I always makes me wonder like, well who is the
- 1:20:25offended people? People who are the offender
- 1:20:27people, like they don't exist. But to me, and I'm just saying,
- 1:20:33you know, if this was a statistical thing, right?
- 1:20:37When I always look at this and my immediate sphere and all the
- 1:20:39people, I know, and all their friends.
- 1:20:41Like, it always seems like the small minority are, the people
- 1:20:44that are offended because if something is just eternally
- 1:20:47event, like everyone is offended by it.
- 1:20:49Then you just know. Okay.
- 1:20:50Yeah, this is we got to stop this.
- 1:20:52They always seems like a small amount if that's Twitter though.
- 1:20:56Yeah. I like what you were saying.
- 1:20:57I think it's all about the greater majority seems to be
- 1:20:59like people mocking themselves. And like, like, for instance, I
- 1:21:03suffer with, you know, things like depression and issues like
- 1:21:08that, and I often it's like my sick humor, but I look at these,
- 1:21:14like, depressive me means and like, Health memes and I just
- 1:21:19laughed Darkly like, you know, yellow and like there was loads
- 1:21:22of other people, but there's loads of other people who suffer
- 1:21:25from Mental Health. Problems who are laughing as
- 1:21:28well because it's like a form of therapy to laugh at oneself and
- 1:21:32laugher this situation. Oh my God, I fought for this for
- 1:21:36so long. Okay, right means are intended.
- 1:21:41Not to be taken. Seriously.
- 1:21:43Right? I know that.
- 1:21:44I know that they go too far. I know that they do at times,
- 1:21:48but I have seen people. I have seen some memes that I
- 1:21:52would dare, not sure. Yeah, I've seen though to, I'm
- 1:21:55like, He seemed quite know me, basic memes that people are
- 1:22:01fucking raged over and I'm like the end of the day.
- 1:22:05It's and that's kind of that's exactly what this one that I was
- 1:22:08talking about. Before this, this this will test
- 1:22:10excreting mean that I thought was kind of funny as someone who
- 1:22:13suffers from that there was this like I was I was added to and I
- 1:22:16was at Uni, right? And it's like What you just said
- 1:22:22like there are some memes in there.
- 1:22:24Like I've not even reacted to that, I've just seen them I'm
- 1:22:27like oh my God, I have enough. Eh, I kept my friend with this
- 1:22:30but this is the thing, right? I thought about leaving the
- 1:22:33group but then I was like, Genoa.
- 1:22:34It's already too far like it's trackable.
- 1:22:36So if I ever got into like, some serious career in the future,
- 1:22:39they could be like, where you were part of this group and it's
- 1:22:41like, what do I say it's like, yeah but that when they wake up
- 1:22:44to track your activity and just be like we didn't go on it very
- 1:22:47often, he was just in it but the thing is that's the yeah I don't
- 1:22:49really I don't ever post anymore like I I joined it.
- 1:22:52I posted a little bit. It was a bit of fun and I just
- 1:22:55it becomes an afterthought right?
- 1:22:56Every now and again, I'll see because it's grown ridiculously.
- 1:22:59It started out with like I don't know, 300 people and now it's
- 1:23:03got like thousands of people, it's ridiculous.
- 1:23:05And back then it was very not normally.
- 1:23:09It was actually pretty good stuff but it was safe.
- 1:23:12And then now then something happened certain people just
- 1:23:16really push the boundaries, some people got like, banned from
- 1:23:19Facebook temporarily because there's some The stuff they post
- 1:23:22it. I was like, oh my God man.
- 1:23:24Like I Well, if I got myself in T and I'm not even part of it, I
- 1:23:30just happened that like you know, it's included.
- 1:23:33Yeah. This shouldn't have even a
- 1:23:36point. I think the point I want to put
- 1:23:39on top like this whole Council culture if also like cap it as
- 1:23:43wide view so I don't get hate in the comments whether you love
- 1:23:48me. Anyway, you should never get
- 1:23:49hate gone by but I probably well, I'll probably offended
- 1:23:51someone during this and cancel culture is Needs to be
- 1:23:56appropriate to what's going on. If you keep canceling people,
- 1:24:02all you are doing is a creating a divide of people who lost
- 1:24:05everything they had because of this and you just widen that gap
- 1:24:12between the two sides. What we need to invest in is one
- 1:24:15looking at things contextually, for instance, pedophiles Yeah,
- 1:24:20done May. If you come out if any sort of
- 1:24:22pedophilic stuff comes out about someone, you should be
- 1:24:25cancelled. If you find out that someone has
- 1:24:27sexually assaulted someone, I will sew.
- 1:24:29This can't be right? Wait, until they actually get
- 1:24:32convicted evidence. Yeah.
- 1:24:34Because people start cancelling someone is soon.
- 1:24:37Like, for instance, right now, Brendon Urie the Panic at the
- 1:24:40Disco singer has been accused by a bunch of people of
- 1:24:42potentially, you know, sexually assaulting them or whatever
- 1:24:46right now, these allegations don't get me wrong.
- 1:24:49He said a lot of stuff on camera and stuff that's inappropriate
- 1:24:53but so far, there's no proof that he has done any of this
- 1:24:58stuff. It's just witness account, which
- 1:25:00lies that. That's it.
- 1:25:03That's exactly what I mean, about context and people are
- 1:25:05bound to make mistakes in this regard because you're basing on
- 1:25:07your own judgment. If you look at the whole Darvey,
- 1:25:09vanity situation, which I'm sure you've had something about the
- 1:25:12guy from Blood, on the Dance Floor.
- 1:25:14He's looking at hundreds of cases of sexual assault.
- 1:25:18A lot of them on Miners. So many girls have come forward
- 1:25:22and give them their stories with Chris Hansen who used to do, you
- 1:25:25know, Dateline. And I have no doubt that he did
- 1:25:29it. I've only heard accounts of
- 1:25:31other people, I've looked at the situation, contextually, listen
- 1:25:35to the, to these young women who have gone through this and it's
- 1:25:38King horrific, there's not lying, there's Trends throughout
- 1:25:43all that reason, right? However, evident Playing devil's
- 1:25:46advocate for a second. Yeah.
- 1:25:49Let's say it wasn't true. Let's say there's no way it's
- 1:25:54not you'd have to know. I would I would tend to agree
- 1:25:57with you in the sense that if you have a certain sheer amount
- 1:26:00of accounts and they all have you know similar or the same
- 1:26:04theme then yeah chances are it's real, right?
- 1:26:07But you could also have a situation where people have set
- 1:26:11like not like a conspiracy because I don't want to use that
- 1:26:13way. It sounds silly in this context,
- 1:26:14but in the sense that people could come together and say
- 1:26:18like, we all know, Person we want to cancel this person.
- 1:26:21Let's make up this thing and and like all tell a similar story
- 1:26:26and then this will get them canceled right?
- 1:26:29Because I feel like for certain people think it's the receipts.
- 1:26:33That's exactly what it's about. Is the receipts, whether you
- 1:26:35bring the receipts they've got. Oh, you mean like from the
- 1:26:38actual person I've got again, though, again, in Playing
- 1:26:42devil's advocate again, these things can be doctored.
- 1:26:45These things can be photoshopped, that's the
- 1:26:46problem, that's the thing because they're going through
- 1:26:48the process and Google the new Volvo.
- 1:26:50The reason the reason that I'm bringing this up, right?
- 1:26:53The reason that because I tend to agree with what you're
- 1:26:57saying, right? But I like to look at the facts.
- 1:27:00I don't like to look at what everyone's saying, I like to
- 1:27:02look at the cold hard facts. And as far as I'm concerned,
- 1:27:06when someone is in court and, you know, they're charged, and
- 1:27:12it's like, you know, it's how much Faith do you have the
- 1:27:16judicial system? There, is that as well?
- 1:27:18Yeah, like II. Fully accept, they get it wrong.
- 1:27:20That's why I know that kind of side of things.
- 1:27:23I feel like you need to and this again, I'm going to say you will
- 1:27:27make mistakes. I will continue to make this
- 1:27:31beat. You have to base it on your own
- 1:27:32judgment. You have to go, you have to
- 1:27:35analyze. What's being shown in front of
- 1:27:37you. You sometimes, you have to go
- 1:27:39with your gut reaction on these things.
- 1:27:41The trouble is it's wrong. You will think that things are
- 1:27:46real when they're not. I thought the James Charles
- 1:27:48legit. That's the thing.
- 1:27:51The damage is done, right? He was coming, he's proven
- 1:27:54innocent, right? Am I right now?
- 1:27:57James Charles, that's point that out.
- 1:27:58He has fucking Merc distance and so well done to him, right?
- 1:28:01But okay, here's the thing, right?
- 1:28:03With the way humans are, there's that expression of there's no
- 1:28:05smoke without fire, right? So, even though he's been proven
- 1:28:10as like am I right in saying he's been proven as like
- 1:28:12innocent and stuff? Yeah.
- 1:28:13Is that right? Because I don't know about him
- 1:28:15that much to be honest. Okay.
- 1:28:17And not proven but so Guy, that was in question.
- 1:28:20Entirely Westbrook's video came out and said that it was not
- 1:28:23legit. He was like interested in James
- 1:28:27Charles, he was straight, but he was a huge experiment.
- 1:28:29I kind of thing, right. So then recently will come up
- 1:28:32again and Jeffree Star was supposedly going to because
- 1:28:35Jeffree Star went on keemstar podcast with this recording from
- 1:28:39another YouTuber. With this allegation that James
- 1:28:41Jones was sexually assault with them.
- 1:28:44All came out, tightly Westbrook then says the Jeffree Star and
- 1:28:47Shane Dawson, made her make that video.
- 1:28:49Ideo originally and that she doesn't think James is a sexual
- 1:28:51predator and then we'll say, he has release it, so we don't
- 1:28:57know. Okay, we don't need a lesson.
- 1:28:59Let's say, let's say, based on what's been presented so far?
- 1:29:02It seems like he's probably innocent, right?
- 1:29:05So with that logic in mind, it's like, okay.
- 1:29:09The person has been proven innocent, but there is still
- 1:29:12this large contingent of people that are like, oh, fuck this
- 1:29:14person. You know, they were accused,
- 1:29:16which means missed interest rates.
- 1:29:17Yeah, and that's, that's the danger that I think is true of
- 1:29:20cancer culture because you could cancel anyone for anything and
- 1:29:23you could just make it up like me, or you could just get
- 1:29:25cancelled randomly and it could be total bollocks, but they're,
- 1:29:29you know, it's once it's been done, it's like that damage is
- 1:29:32there and it's just a tarnish on your name even though it's not
- 1:29:35true. It's just yeah, people trying to
- 1:29:37attack you and The best way to attack you because it's like oh
- 1:29:40let's accuse them of something unacceptable and then watch them
- 1:29:44try and like get over that. Have you noticed though, I
- 1:29:48really kind of have noticed this that trying to cancel people
- 1:29:52doesn't work anymore. Like not really.
- 1:29:54You can tell them, they go underground for a month, they're
- 1:29:58back, like you're not gaining anything.
- 1:30:01I think it depends what they do. Because if you take like are
- 1:30:04exactly like or Kelly is. Yeah.
- 1:30:09When was the last time I've had Pink music and or something you
- 1:30:13know, well besides the fact he's dead, you know, it seems dumb.
- 1:30:19I think Julia Maxwell was done, I think she's cancelled now but
- 1:30:23like I think it's a tricky one, dude.
- 1:30:28It really is because This is the only Street and I think people
- 1:30:34need to understand this and him go here at dropping truth bombs
- 1:30:38but there isn't any way to stop it.
- 1:30:41There isn't any way to fix it. There is no system in the world
- 1:30:47that can read minds and see things factually, exactly as
- 1:30:51they happen to. Give us a correct result.
- 1:30:54Every time it just it's not possible.
- 1:30:57People are going to get falsely accused.
- 1:30:59People are going to make their accusations that are I'm not
- 1:31:02have them taken seriously and it's awful.
- 1:31:05But until there is technology, that can literally frame a
- 1:31:10fucking moment. That's happened and replay it.
- 1:31:13You will never know the truth to every one of these circumstances
- 1:31:16and it's horrible thing to realize that you're not.
- 1:31:20We're never going to know the full truth on everything even a
- 1:31:23Judicial System. You know, as well as I would
- 1:31:27say, a majority of the time in, I can't even say that with much
- 1:31:31faith. With you know like you think the
- 1:31:33judicial system is processing guilty people and me and you
- 1:31:38know serving justice but we don't even know to what degree.
- 1:31:42Because how do you know that a crime?
- 1:31:45That someone's been wrongfully committed and less?
- 1:31:47Masses of evidence comes out that they were wrongly
- 1:31:50committed. It's just I think we as humans
- 1:31:54want so much control and we kinda need to realize that we
- 1:31:58can't. There's just this It's awful.
- 1:32:03People want to shake the internet to be a better place,
- 1:32:05but I'm sorry. You can't.
- 1:32:09You can have your good policy in that.
- 1:32:11You can have your bad ones, you can't control everything.
- 1:32:16You can't make everyone think the same way.
- 1:32:20I wish you could I wish we could live in a world where everyone
- 1:32:23was fucking tolerant of each other and treat everyone with
- 1:32:27respect and everyone had a Level Playing Field but unfortunately,
- 1:32:31the way that Human Society has been built up for so many years
- 1:32:35as long as we've been on this planet, Mistakes will happen.
- 1:32:39There is no fix everything solution for everybody in the
- 1:32:43world. And I think people need to
- 1:32:44realize that I get. There's, this is my, these
- 1:32:46people when I eat sucks, I come from a position of some sort of
- 1:32:50privilege to some regard. But well, massive regard
- 1:32:54compared to other people around the world, but there isn't the
- 1:32:58be-all and end-all fix to everything.
- 1:32:59We need to, you need to do what we can that you can't.
- 1:33:04Yeah, I just I can't I don't know how else to put it.
- 1:33:08They'd I just don't know how else to put it.
- 1:33:10I'm sorry you all think that something's going to change to
- 1:33:13make the world better. And I think we can always grab
- 1:33:17our sweethearts though. I think can all do of it to
- 1:33:19improve hundred percent of this is this is kind of what I
- 1:33:22believe as far as. Like, what I do is that if I can
- 1:33:26try To spread like positivity as much as possible.
- 1:33:32And that for instance, one of the things I do when I interview
- 1:33:35people who have different opinions to me, as I'll
- 1:33:37challenge them like it, for instance, the interview I did
- 1:33:41with great that a lie or steal Z.
- 1:33:43Like they said some stuff that person that I disagree with and
- 1:33:46we challenging each other and we had like a bit of a debate and
- 1:33:48stuff, but the difference was, I didn't attack them for their
- 1:33:51opinions. I accepted them and their
- 1:33:53opinions and I challenged them and, you know, we got a
- 1:33:57conversation out of And I think that's the attitude you need to
- 1:33:59have. When you meet people, especially
- 1:34:01people that hateful and want to spread negativity in the world.
- 1:34:04You need to kind of challenge it.
- 1:34:06You don't have to attack them because I don't think that
- 1:34:09really works if you attack me as a species have lost the ability
- 1:34:13to have a conversation. I disagree, I think.
- 1:34:17Okay. All right.
- 1:34:18Nobody Haley. Bye baby.
- 1:34:19On a vine. Yeah.
- 1:34:20But like, it's a dying art. Yeah.
- 1:34:24But that's why I like his mean. You can agree on everything, but
- 1:34:26we can sit here and we can have a discussion about it.
- 1:34:28It wouldn't be messing with agree or disagree on.
- 1:34:29I don't know, on the previous podcast about the whole twitch
- 1:34:34thing. We had said, all right, firstly
- 1:34:37I think it's more like this than, like, our views are not
- 1:34:39exactly the same on everything. But we sit here and we have
- 1:34:41these conversations was just and I don't remember any like
- 1:34:44controversial, disagreements, maybe like slight but yeah, but
- 1:34:52even so never having even it, like, especially with my
- 1:34:55position as the host of the show.
- 1:34:56Like I don't really, You it would even be appropriate to be
- 1:35:01like that, because I see so many shows and podcasts where people
- 1:35:06have like a prevailing opinion. And I try to put out my opinion,
- 1:35:12but but also kind of like prevailing opinions that aren't
- 1:35:15necessary. Like for instance, just now I
- 1:35:17said stuff that I don't agree with, but I wanted to throw out
- 1:35:21the opposite side of the argument.
- 1:35:22Yeah, that's me right? Yeah.
- 1:35:26And just kind of get like a balance Perspective for people
- 1:35:29to digest and I think that's really am going to kind of
- 1:35:32understand things from all different aspects so that you
- 1:35:35have like a really good picture of it and you can understand it
- 1:35:38fully and you know make your opinion based on that you know
- 1:35:42but I think having statistics and facts really is important.
- 1:35:46Use a fact check and get statistics for everything you
- 1:35:49know you can't read anything. You see on Facebook or 12?
- 1:35:52Yeah go and check it for yourself if you can thanks cam
- 1:35:56Google because that probably Can I help you either?
- 1:35:59Probably the article that they're sharing in the first
- 1:36:01place go and just let anyway, not everyone has time for that
- 1:36:06but guys just net. Like the tiniest bit of social
- 1:36:12Consciousness from everybody could do wonders, just next
- 1:36:17time, you're scrolling through social media.
- 1:36:20Just take a second to think before you do things, are you
- 1:36:22postings weather and maybe we'll move on to a brighter future,
- 1:36:26probably not. But Hey can try and put some
- 1:36:29positivity out there. Be nice to each other.
- 1:36:31I was going to ask you my standard question of like
- 1:36:34upcoming projects and final thoughts but I feel like that's
- 1:36:37a very good final thought right there?
- 1:36:39Yeah, I'm okay upcoming projects.
- 1:36:45What can we expect to see from Calamity Hatcher?
- 1:36:47Oh, so we just started Halo night on the channel.
- 1:36:50It's a very kind of Indie platformer and it's so
- 1:36:56beautiful. It's very good.
- 1:36:58Take a static and definitely recommend checking out.
- 1:37:01The first episode has gone up on the day of recording this.
- 1:37:05Then the next one will be up tomorrow and I will be then into
- 1:37:09linking it with Shadow episodes. So there's going to be obviously
- 1:37:12some stuff and some of this other stuff.
- 1:37:15What else, what else is there? I'm just moving forward with the
- 1:37:19content guys. There's get there as a few
- 1:37:21things come in. And there's a few video essays
- 1:37:23that I wanted to do feel of which I've discussed on last
- 1:37:27episode of the podcast and the one before that as well.
- 1:37:29So you will say I do, I know YouTubers have different views
- 1:37:33on this because some YouTubers just prefer to just purely have
- 1:37:37like their branded content and and nothing that's like too
- 1:37:41personal but I feel like it's always good to have a little
- 1:37:44bit. Like for me I feel like it would
- 1:37:46be good to have more of that from you because I think you're
- 1:37:47very interesting guy and there's a lot of like I don't know.
- 1:37:53I think, I think your fans would find something in that.
- 1:37:58There's interesting. Like I would certainly happily.
- 1:38:01I know, it's my type of content that I typically produce, but I
- 1:38:04just like that, I like seeing the person behind the stuff
- 1:38:07because the thing is the reality is, especially if you're gaming
- 1:38:10often, that's you in one context that's not you, you know what I
- 1:38:16mean. And there's so much more to you
- 1:38:18than just I do Sonic stuff. I do this stuff.
- 1:38:21Yeah. Completely completely.
- 1:38:23Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing more of that personally.
- 1:38:25It will be more of that as you know restrictions and now
- 1:38:28loosening folks are going to keep coming back.
- 1:38:32I was quite happy with the last Vlog and yeah there's gonna be
- 1:38:35more of those coming. I'm doing work on the crew.
- 1:38:39Cartoons on a few bits. He wants to do it like a day in
- 1:38:42the life of crime me Hatcher things with thinking of doing
- 1:38:44that which thing we really cool. DJ live streams are coming now.
- 1:38:50We've got it sorted. They are probably We going to be
- 1:38:52on Twitch because of copyright issues.
- 1:38:58Obviously things are now going that way on Twitch, but not
- 1:39:01nearly at the rate YouTube's out.
- 1:39:03So we'll see how it's going. Yeah, we're moving forward as
- 1:39:08the world starts to open up a bit more, particularly here in
- 1:39:12the UK, I have got a lot more projects, there is music.
- 1:39:16There is so much stuff coming. It's just It's just that were
- 1:39:21waiting for a lot of things you know, like I think even though
- 1:39:24things have loosened and we can all hang out a lot easier.
- 1:39:27Now, I think a lot of people are still scared.
- 1:39:30I mean, I'm a, I'm a, I'm technically high-risk freely and
- 1:39:34I bet you know that grief us meeting much but I also, you
- 1:39:40know what, if I'm on the tube or ever people are wearing a mask,
- 1:39:43I will fund get a bit funny about it and know what's this, a
- 1:39:47good idea. And you know what I was, I just
- 1:39:49stop you. Like everyone to get some public
- 1:39:53transport, should be wearing a fucking mask.
- 1:39:55That's unacceptable, I know that especially on the tube that but
- 1:40:01he's like your most at risk, that's the issue that mask will
- 1:40:06help you with that. I understand the other people,
- 1:40:08the people that are doing that are not wearing the masks like
- 1:40:14You could, you can tell if someone is is because of like a
- 1:40:17genuine medical condition, like the people I see this don't give
- 1:40:20a fuck or sing. Love people, you or worse.
- 1:40:23They wear the mask, but they wear it on their chin.
- 1:40:25Lies is pointless. Yeah, like I don't worry about
- 1:40:29outside, I'll give it that. Like, if I'm owl in an open
- 1:40:33area, I'm not wearing a mask. I'm the same and keep it with
- 1:40:36me. If any type of shot, any type of
- 1:40:38indoor environment, I will wear the most Outcome.
- 1:40:42Yeah, when you can shop and I think I untie do understand that
- 1:40:47it's difficult, some people really suffer for it.
- 1:40:49But the thing is, this isn't meant to be pleasant for anyone.
- 1:40:54Like I don't get out of bed in the morning thinking, I can't
- 1:40:57wait to put my mask on today. It is sick.
- 1:41:00Fuck a listen to my thing. I hate wearing the mosque.
- 1:41:02Like, if anything, you know I'm not as mag but I did quit
- 1:41:06smoking earlier this year and whenever my breathing is
- 1:41:10restricted, its It's not easy to breathe.
- 1:41:13I have issues with my nose. I have done for many years, it's
- 1:41:17kind of blocked. So my sense of smell is kind of
- 1:41:18screwed. So yeah, sometimes I do really
- 1:41:22struggle with breathing. I still wear it.
- 1:41:25You know, it's not long, it's not forever.
- 1:41:27You just have to keep this off. Calm.
- 1:41:29You know, it's not going to be forever.
- 1:41:30And like you said, you want to take off the nearest opportunity
- 1:41:34and you just relax, you know? Yeah, like I sat on the tube for
- 1:41:3945 minutes with One on. And it's it's not an enjoyable
- 1:41:43experience. It's not.
- 1:41:45I'm not saying it is but it's the greater good.
- 1:41:48Great, it's good. She's the great goodies for the
- 1:41:52everyone. Sorry I just I try again.
- 1:42:00There we go, terrible time. I did that.
- 1:42:02Well, we Circa 2000 and great demos the greater good.
- 1:42:07Anyway. Okay listen.
- 1:42:10Thank you so much for being on this episode of the Christian
- 1:42:13made public. I love having you, you're always
- 1:42:16welcome. You know that hoping this does
- 1:42:20workout video, why? Yes, I'm trying to get me to be
- 1:42:26even so I think we've had a very good discussion and this will
- 1:42:29make it back for good. Listening experience for
- 1:42:31everyone, listening on, on Spotify, I believe Google
- 1:42:36podcasts, anchor, everybody else.
- 1:42:39This is the thing, about Apple podcasts.
- 1:42:41I have stats that suggests that people listen to me, on Apple
- 1:42:45podcasts but I don't have a link and I can't find myself.
- 1:42:48So I don't know what that is but please anchor, if you are
- 1:42:52listening, please give me a link because I would love to promote
- 1:42:56that because it would be like another final achievement to be
- 1:42:59able to get on a Podcast. Spotify was.
- 1:43:01Yeah, I know for me Spotify was like, oh my God.
- 1:43:05Yeah, I was until manager Spotify now so I could show.
- 1:43:09But for me, you know, YouTube is certainly the home of the video
- 1:43:14podcasts until such a time as Spotify makes them available.
- 1:43:18I did hear Rumblings of when Joe Rogan sign that apparently in
- 1:43:22the future, we can expect video podcast on Spotify, but I don't
- 1:43:24know, there's Rumblings but nothing like there's Rumblings
- 1:43:29about other Is about Spotify ones, writing to General
- 1:43:33classmates video game streaming, and stuff like that.
- 1:43:35So we're just gonna have to see how that would develops.
- 1:43:37I think if anyone was going to do it Spotify is kind of first
- 1:43:42in the Runnings. I can't think of anyone else
- 1:43:44that would really would have. Yeah.
- 1:43:46Funny to be honest, to do it. Okay, great thing about Spotify,
- 1:43:49streaming service gone. They would have to allow songs
- 1:43:53on that platform to be used streams that are popular items.
- 1:43:57I would have to see that for Ike.
- 1:44:00I wanted if, if they could do that that you could do a stream
- 1:44:04with Spotify and play any music you want.
- 1:44:07I guarantee everyone will be moving.
- 1:44:09This data platform, would explode, it'd be like see you
- 1:44:12later twitch. We're gonna way to Spotify, you
- 1:44:15know what, we're gonna have to come back for another one.
- 1:44:17At some point, about the death of twitch because it could be
- 1:44:19happened in fairly soon. My, I was thinking of Ellen and
- 1:44:22it's as, as the doctor goes UV, lighting.
- 1:44:25A cigar you be like this told you good.
- 1:44:28Yeah. Just sitting there.
- 1:44:30He sitting on your heel, you see you next time guys.
- 1:44:37I'm not gonna over here. Okay, listen, thank you so much.

- 1:44:44Christian we've probably lost hope, we've got many more guests
