- 0:55Speaker 3: when the guy walked in. He's like, comes in, he's strapping,
- 0:58Speaker 3: he's yoked, he's working out, the whole thing. I kind
- 1:01Speaker 3: of puffed my chest right away.
- 1:03Speaker 4: I didn't like it.
- 1:04Speaker 3: And look, he'd look nicely. He's dressed. Tell me, I thought,

- 1:26Speaker 3: fifty years I still am.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, still your baby, and Andrew, Andrew, what you're almost forty.

- 1:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm in my forties.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Six months.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Yeah, for the tail end of them, tail end of them.
- 1:37Speaker 4: But thank you so much for joining us.
- 1:39Speaker 3: You know it's a big weekend.

- 1:42Speaker 2: Fourth annual uh inaugural, I'm sorry, not in augirl.
- 1:45Speaker 4: They'd be the first annual.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Consecutive consecutive golf outing here at Pebble Beach where we
- 1:50Speaker 2: do a big Bachelor reunion and we do a whole
- 1:53Speaker 2: bunch of podcasts, So glad to have you be a
- 1:55Speaker 2: part of it.
- 1:56Speaker 4: It's a it's a family tradition, you know.
- 1:57Speaker 3: We like to keep lovelling.
- 1:58Speaker 5: I love it.
- 1:59Speaker 4: And we're not.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Sure if this is either one of ours third or fourth.
- 2:03Speaker 3: No, no, no, were I get invited every year.
- 2:05Speaker 2: He's been here seventeen years consecutively. Mine didn't know they
- 2:07Speaker 2: were doing.
- 2:08Speaker 4: The show, not as much.
- 2:09Speaker 3: But this we were talking earlier, like this is such
- 2:11Speaker 3: a great like it opens up the Bachelor world a
- 2:15Speaker 3: little bit to have this other era be part of
- 2:18Speaker 3: it and offer other perspectives. And when you walked in
- 2:21Speaker 3: what you said to me, You're like, oh, two of
- 2:23Speaker 3: the guys that know my experience and know one perspective.
- 2:26Speaker 3: But that's why we're here. We want to we want
- 2:28Speaker 3: to hear it from you and what you know not
- 2:30Speaker 3: only you know on the on the show, in your experience,
- 2:33Speaker 3: but like like kind of life after and all of
- 2:35Speaker 3: these other opportunities here playing golf for the first time,
- 2:37Speaker 3: yeah a long.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Time I am.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, let's start at the top, like how did
- 2:41Speaker 2: the whole opportunity even come to play for you?
- 2:43Speaker 4: Like, how did you end up on the show? In
- 2:44Speaker 4: the first place.
- 2:46Speaker 5: You know.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I had a a woman reach out to me and
- 2:49Speaker 1: we were talking and she said, you know, I I
- 2:52Speaker 1: think you'd be a really good on a reality TV
- 2:56Speaker 1: show called a Golden Bachelorette.
- 2:58Speaker 5: And I said, I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 3:01Speaker 4: So you've never seen the show?
- 3:02Speaker 1: You never even heard of I've never seen. I knew
- 3:03Speaker 1: there was The Bachelor and the Bachelorette. You know, you
- 3:06Speaker 1: see some of the commercials, but I knew nothing more
- 3:08Speaker 1: than you get a rose that's good, you don't get
- 3:11Speaker 1: a rose that's bad. And then at the end the
- 3:14Speaker 1: young kids hook up.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Yeah, and you know that's all I knew about the show.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, so somebody. So I knew nothing about it. And
- 3:23Speaker 1: so I then reached out to my to my sisters.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I say, have you guys ever heard of a show
- 3:27Speaker 1: called Golden Bachelor Bachelorette? And they go, oh my god, yes,
- 3:31Speaker 1: you know, And I said, well, somebody wants me to
- 3:32Speaker 1: be on this thing, or I should apply for it.
- 3:35Speaker 1: They go, you got to do it. And my nephew
- 3:37Speaker 1: is about forty, said, uncle guy. He goes, go for it,
- 3:40Speaker 1: he goes, he.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Goes, he goes. Even if you don't do it. He goes,
- 3:42Speaker 5: you can always put in your back pocket.
- 3:43Speaker 1: So, you know, I send in the you know, the
- 3:47Speaker 1: ask five five quessure, you know, told me send five
- 3:50Speaker 1: pictures and five other things, and then I got the questionnaire.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I don't even remember a single question. I remember one
- 3:56Speaker 1: question on the questionnaire.
- 3:58Speaker 5: The rest of it. I just filled that as fast
- 4:00Speaker 5: as I could, because I was it the std question. No,
- 4:03Speaker 5: it wasn't that one. It was.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Oh my god, they did ask me about that.
- 4:11Speaker 5: No.
- 4:11Speaker 1: The only I remember was like they said, do you
- 4:14Speaker 1: have a Hollywood crush?
- 4:15Speaker 5: And that's the only one I remember.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Oh, and do you Yeah, what'd you put Diane Lane?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Diane Lane?
- 4:23Speaker 4: Choice?
- 4:24Speaker 3: Good pull on that one. You're listening to this.
- 4:27Speaker 5: I'm still out here.
- 4:28Speaker 2: This is good, you know, because this was going to
- 4:30Speaker 2: be one of my questions to you is who and
- 4:32Speaker 2: you know, who's your Hollywood crush?
- 4:33Speaker 4: You could find her today?
- 4:34Speaker 5: That that was it.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I just always she's a terrific act actor, actress, and
- 4:41Speaker 1: she just has this this quality of class to her
- 4:44Speaker 1: that you know, I've always admired. And so she's about
- 4:49Speaker 1: my age, she's like fifty nine sixty or.
- 4:52Speaker 5: Something like that.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I know, she got divorce from you know, one of.
- 4:55Speaker 5: The Brolin brothers or something like that.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Josh anyway, Josh Brown, Yes, because yeah, yeah, so anyway,
- 5:03Speaker 1: So that's how so I I you know, I went
- 5:06Speaker 1: through the application, to be honest with you, I didn't
- 5:09Speaker 1: think i'd be chosen. I just but I just kept
- 5:11Speaker 1: going through and one zoom interview after another after another,
- 5:14Speaker 1: and and you know, I still wouldn't even sure I
- 5:17Speaker 1: wanted to, like really go through with it, but I
- 5:19Speaker 1: was just going through the process. And a lot of
- 5:21Speaker 1: things happened in my life over the last the six
- 5:23Speaker 1: months leading up to the show that were pretty significant
- 5:26Speaker 1: milestones for me in my life to be able to
- 5:29Speaker 1: move forward after my my divorce. And I finally said,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you know what, I'm going to do this. And then
- 5:36Speaker 1: right after that, Jackie called and said, hey, You've been selected,
- 5:40Speaker 1: and I said, yay me.
- 5:43Speaker 3: But so you but you were your career working at
- 5:46Speaker 3: the time that you that that this whole thing interrupted
- 5:48Speaker 3: your life, but you felt like you were in the
- 5:49Speaker 3: right place to do something like.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, interesting enough, this is one of the milestones I
- 5:53Speaker 1: was talking about. So one of them was is in
- 5:56Speaker 1: April I did this two and a half week. Unexpect
- 6:00Speaker 1: the road trip, my oldest daughter was running the Boston Marathon.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I flew back to Boston from the West Coast, spent
- 6:05Speaker 1: four days with you know, my daughter McKenzie and my
- 6:08Speaker 1: grandson he Don, and then she ran the marathon. And
- 6:10Speaker 1: from there I have another daughter that had gone to
- 6:13Speaker 1: Oxford University together NBA and was living in London. So
- 6:15Speaker 1: I just said, you know what, I'm going to get
- 6:17Speaker 1: on the plane. I flew to London, spent four days
- 6:19Speaker 1: with her, did some great stuff. I went out to Liverpool,
- 6:22Speaker 1: home of the Fab four, and I'm a beatlemaniac and
- 6:25Speaker 1: self professor Beetle make. I had one of the best
- 6:26Speaker 1: days I've ever had by myself, you know. And then
- 6:29Speaker 1: from there I went to Atlanta and visited my grandson
- 6:31Speaker 1: some more, went to Dallas Fort Worth, visited you know,
- 6:34Speaker 1: family and friends where I grew up, and then went
- 6:36Speaker 1: to San Diego when my sons lives. I got back
- 6:39Speaker 1: and I just you know, it's like two and a
- 6:41Speaker 1: half weeks on expended. I said, you know what, I'm
- 6:43Speaker 1: about to turn sixty six. I've got thirty five years
- 6:47Speaker 1: working in the same er said.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Right, the same the same hospital.
- 6:51Speaker 1: The same hospital, same ar was like, you know, I
- 6:53Speaker 1: mean I had done everything I wanted to do in
- 6:55Speaker 1: my career. I was the medical director, chairman, I was
- 6:58Speaker 1: the chief of staff of the hospital. So I did
- 6:59Speaker 1: it straight of work. But then I was also mostly
- 7:01Speaker 1: I was just as we called the pit doc, you
- 7:03Speaker 1: know we you know, the years working in the pit.
- 7:06Speaker 1: And I had done that, and I just said, you know,
- 7:08Speaker 1: it's it's time. I wanted to do what I want
- 7:11Speaker 1: when I want. And so in April, long before I
- 7:14Speaker 1: heard from the show, I decided to retire.
- 7:17Speaker 5: And I things, it's just I knew.
- 7:21Speaker 1: People said you're going to know when you know, and
- 7:23Speaker 1: that's what happened. I just said, this feels right. I
- 7:26Speaker 1: wanted to go out on top. I didn't want to
- 7:28Speaker 1: be a doc that just stays.
- 7:29Speaker 5: Around a little too long. It's a little bit, you know,
- 7:32Speaker 5: just to ask leave it like.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I didn't want them to have that uncomfortable conversation.
- 7:37Speaker 5: And I even told him I So I went and
- 7:39Speaker 5: I and I and I decided to do that.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Interestingly enough, and you know, the show calls and so
- 7:44Speaker 1: and I had even asked, you know, you know, the
- 7:46Speaker 1: people I work, I said, hey, is there any way
- 7:47Speaker 1: I can get like, you know, June and July off
- 7:50Speaker 1: And they said, uh in the ear, no, I said,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I said, even for a guy like me, I've been
- 7:54Speaker 1: doing this for thirty high started the group for Christ's sake,
- 7:57Speaker 1: you know.
- 7:58Speaker 5: Anyway, So it was.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Almost like it was it was wonderful timing for me
- 8:02Speaker 1: to do it. So when I won the show, it
- 8:03Speaker 1: was very easy. I didn't have to worry about coming
- 8:05Speaker 1: back to work or doing anything like that. I worked
- 8:08Speaker 1: my last shift about a week before I went on
- 8:10Speaker 1: the show.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Oh no, kidding, Yeah, Wow, perfect timing.
- 8:13Speaker 3: It seems like the people that we talked to that
- 8:16Speaker 3: I've talked to over the years that have had a
- 8:18Speaker 3: good experience kind of life, had had kind of shuffled
- 8:21Speaker 3: the deck in such a way that they were ready
- 8:23Speaker 3: for something like this that the show wasn't interruptive to
- 8:26Speaker 3: their life, but rather it was additive to it, you know.
- 8:29Speaker 3: And so now like so afterwards, like in hindsight, do
- 8:33Speaker 3: you think it was additive to your life?
- 8:35Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 8:35Speaker 3: And even though it didn't maybe turn out the no.
- 8:38Speaker 5: It really was.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And I you know, I talk about you know this
- 8:41Speaker 1: quote transformational journey that I went through, and it was
- 8:44Speaker 1: all these things that kind of led up to that
- 8:46Speaker 1: this show was a culmination of all these significant milestones
- 8:49Speaker 1: in my life that allowed me to move forward. I
- 8:52Speaker 1: went on it, and then it just allowed me to
- 8:55Speaker 1: open up. It gave me time to be very introspective.
- 8:59Speaker 1: My daughter sent me a Mulskin journal and said that
- 9:02Speaker 1: maybe you should journal your your your.
- 9:05Speaker 5: Time on there. I did.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I started on the plane on the way down to
- 9:09Speaker 1: LA and I journaled every day for forty five days.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I went through an entire book, went to a second
- 9:15Speaker 1: one days they would like the one on one dates
- 9:18Speaker 1: and the hometowns. I would write twenty pages.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, just I mean it's.
- 9:22Speaker 6: Like chronically everything that happened, then chronically what was happening,
- 9:25Speaker 6: but also spending time how is feeling describing you know,
- 9:28Speaker 6: my relationships with some of the other you know, you
- 9:30Speaker 6: know guys on the show, you know friendships I had developed,
- 9:34Speaker 6: and I just used it as a way to kind of,
- 9:36Speaker 6: you know, go back and and think about my life
- 9:39Speaker 6: and think about things and where I wanted to go.
- 9:41Speaker 5: And so that was very therapeutic for me.
- 9:44Speaker 1: So when you ask that the it enhanced it, and
- 9:48Speaker 1: I will say that, you know, people say you know, Gosha,
- 9:51Speaker 1: it was really hard for you.
- 9:52Speaker 5: At the end, I said, you.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Know, I didn't win, but I really won, Yeah, because
- 9:57Speaker 1: I got what I needed out of the show.
- 9:59Speaker 5: And I I think, you know.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I thank the show Vaccination for allowing being part of that.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I think Joan for allowing me to get to this
- 10:09Speaker 1: point and be able to feel like I can you know,
- 10:13Speaker 1: that could truly love again, you know, and like you
- 10:17Speaker 1: and be I opened up and I didn't. I didn't
- 10:19Speaker 1: think that was really Before I went down there, I said,
- 10:21Speaker 1: this isn't possible. And even when I was down there,
- 10:23Speaker 1: most of the time I put up barriers. I was
- 10:26Speaker 1: very guard I said, this is silliness, as I we
- 10:28Speaker 1: tell it. I said, I said, this is fantasy land,
- 10:32Speaker 1: this is not reality. But you know, it allowed me
- 10:35Speaker 1: to think and I eventually just let myself. I said,
- 10:37Speaker 1: you know what, just go with it, you know, and
- 10:39Speaker 1: don't try to manipulate anything. Just go with your feelings
- 10:43Speaker 1: and emotions. And you guys have been there. It's it's
- 10:45Speaker 1: it's an interesting phenomenon that you go through. And and
- 10:51Speaker 1: it doesn't matter because I had watched some of you know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I went back and watched some of these shows.
- 10:54Speaker 5: I was like, oh my god, this is crazy. You know,
- 10:56Speaker 5: I can't possibly do this.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I don't think you could have gone back far enough to.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Nom x Machine because then yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Black and white or like you know, a protector you
- 11:07Speaker 2: can twist.
- 11:08Speaker 1: You're you're you got you guys. I liked this real Okay,
- 11:09Speaker 1: I'll just say this real quick. Was was I didn't
- 11:12Speaker 1: even know the show was on ABC. I got home,
- 11:16Speaker 1: somebody said on September fifteenth, when they mailed announcement, they said.
- 11:20Speaker 5: I just saw you on the ABC. I said why.
- 11:21Speaker 1: They said, well, you're on Going Best and I said,
- 11:24Speaker 1: that's on ABC. Because when I watched it, I just
- 11:27Speaker 1: rented Hulu, right and I didn't associate it with anything.
- 11:31Speaker 5: And so I was like, they go, I go, oh
- 11:33Speaker 5: my god.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And that's why I realized, Okay, this thing's on prime
- 11:37Speaker 1: time on ABC at eight o'clock. I said, Okay, this
- 11:40Speaker 1: is going to be an interesting weeks or whatever.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Yeah, Andrew and I were talking earlier. You know.
- 11:57Speaker 2: One of the things that's sort of been referenced a
- 11:58Speaker 2: lot is that the Golden Bat brought the whole franchise
- 12:02Speaker 2: back to a little bit more of a I don't
- 12:04Speaker 2: want to say kinder, gentler, because that just seems ridiculous,
- 12:06Speaker 2: but just kind of like what it was supposed to
- 12:08Speaker 2: be intended for, right, which was hopefully these people find love.
- 12:11Speaker 4: But hey, the guys don't have to hate each other.
- 12:13Speaker 4: They can get along.
- 12:13Speaker 2: And so I was on the Bachelrette before I was
- 12:15Speaker 2: on the Bachelor, much like you were on the Bachelorette.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I loved the.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Friendships I made from that experience. And then you know,
- 12:22Speaker 2: and then you get opened up to all these other people.
- 12:24Speaker 4: And Andrew and I.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Andrew was the first Bachelor that I met, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 2: before I even became the Bachelor, and I was like, oh.
- 12:29Speaker 4: My god, he's so nice.
- 12:30Speaker 2: And you know, it's like you start to like connect
- 12:33Speaker 2: all the dots and realize that I mean, the cast
- 12:35Speaker 2: thing is really the biggest part of this show from
- 12:36Speaker 2: the standpoint of who they picked to be the lead
- 12:38Speaker 2: as well as who they picked to be the people
- 12:40Speaker 2: that are, you know, there to meet this individual and
- 12:44Speaker 2: meet each other. But good for you, Good for you
- 12:46Speaker 2: finding that positive that silver lining.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Turning it table was good.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I cannot thank them enough. It's just it's it was
- 12:54Speaker 1: life changing for me. That sounds kind of crazy, but
- 12:56Speaker 1: it just wasn't the show, but that was a culmination.
- 12:59Speaker 1: They didn't allow me to take it to that whole
- 13:01Speaker 1: another level of where I you know, where I was
- 13:04Speaker 1: in my life, you know, and uh, yeah, I can't.
- 13:06Speaker 5: I can't be more happy. I had heard it on
- 13:08Speaker 5: the way down.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Uh, you know you all there's a bunch of you
- 13:11Speaker 4: on the same plane.
- 13:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:12Speaker 4: You get off the plane and everybody kind of surrounds you.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Oh are you guys?
- 13:15Speaker 4: Guys?
- 13:16Speaker 3: I mean, how's that feel?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Is that something? I mean, you don't you don't get
- 13:18Speaker 2: that probably a lot in the e r as much
- 13:19Speaker 2: as you would have wanted to.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you know you mean you mean the the attention from.
- 13:24Speaker 4: The Yeah, a lot of attention from this, you know.
- 13:25Speaker 5: I it really hit me.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I went down to Las Vegas, uh and joined my
- 13:33Speaker 1: I got my son the flying from San Diego and
- 13:34Speaker 1: we went to the Sphere to see the Eagles.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Wow.
- 13:37Speaker 5: And I'm in this.
- 13:39Speaker 1: We're in the you know, the cause Cosm, Cosmopolitan, and
- 13:43Speaker 1: there's you know, there's hordes of people.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I couldn't go. I was just blown away. I couldn't
- 13:47Speaker 1: go twenty five feet without somebody stopping me.
- 13:50Speaker 5: And they were going guy guy, your guy, You're like,
- 13:53Speaker 5: oh my god, you know, you.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Know, I said, holy Schwalley. I said, there's a lot
- 13:57Speaker 1: of people who like this stuff and watch it, but
- 13:59Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't sense it because I, you know,
- 14:01Speaker 1: I don't Reno. And so it's you know, it's a
- 14:03Speaker 1: very small community. Everybody in Reno. It's like on fire
- 14:06Speaker 1: because you know, I'm you know, I'm representing you know,
- 14:09Speaker 1: you know, my hometown, you know which I you know,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I love. And it was great, you know, and and
- 14:13Speaker 1: very very complimentary that every said, oh my god, you
- 14:15Speaker 1: you you you projected yourself so well and you've represented
- 14:20Speaker 1: Reno so well.
- 14:21Speaker 5: And yeah, and I I you know, that's that's great.
- 14:23Speaker 5: I feel that right. It makes you feel very good.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Kids proud.
- 14:26Speaker 1: The kids, Yeah, you know, I still wonder they I
- 14:30Speaker 1: think they were a little hesitant because they you know,
- 14:32Speaker 1: mostly they just didn't want to see me get hurt, right,
- 14:34Speaker 1: you know. And they also, you know, we're afraid of
- 14:37Speaker 1: you know, social media. And I said, I said, listen,
- 14:40Speaker 1: I said, I got, I got through a divorce of
- 14:42Speaker 1: thirty four years.
- 14:43Speaker 5: I can handle anything.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, it is tough, but they were My
- 14:47Speaker 1: kids have been so supportive.
- 14:48Speaker 5: They were. They've been so good about the whole thing.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Because you know, me know, they're they're kind of thrust
- 14:53Speaker 1: into thet I'm like a little bit that they didn't
- 14:55Speaker 1: expect yer exactly, you know, and they're on the hometown
- 14:58Speaker 1: visit and they're they're on TV and all their people
- 15:01Speaker 1: all over the country. I mean, you know, are you
- 15:04Speaker 1: know reaching out to them and they're like, I don't
- 15:06Speaker 1: know if I really signed up for this, but they've
- 15:08Speaker 1: been so good and they've been so gracious I And
- 15:10Speaker 1: that's one of the other things that happened in my
- 15:13Speaker 1: transformational journey is was there's like five things, but the
- 15:17Speaker 1: third one is is I developed an even better relationship
- 15:21Speaker 1: with my children.
- 15:21Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Yeah, never too late to do that either, That's right.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I got a five year old, six year old and
- 15:27Speaker 2: the three year old.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Yeah. Savor the moments.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yeah, well I'm savoring this moment right now that I'm
- 15:32Speaker 2: not having to, you know.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Break up a fight.
- 15:34Speaker 5: I feel pretty good about it.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Let me ask you this, So, have you been around
- 15:39Speaker 2: Joan much or Joan and Chalk much since the show's
- 15:44Speaker 2: finale and and you will be this weekend.
- 15:46Speaker 4: I mean, have you have you thought about that? And
- 15:48Speaker 4: how how do you feel about all that?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yeah, to answer your question, Uh, I've spoken with Chalk
- 15:53Speaker 1: several times. It's almost like it seemed like we talked
- 15:56Speaker 1: like once a week, not for a lot, and you know,
- 15:59Speaker 1: and it's more of just like, hey, how are you doing?
- 16:01Speaker 5: Is everything going okay?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Because Chuck and I were roommates, so it was it
- 16:06Speaker 1: was Chalk, it was it was Gary, it was Charles
- 16:09Speaker 1: l and Michael and and so we spent a lot
- 16:12Speaker 1: of time together, you know.
- 16:14Speaker 5: And so I spoke with Chuck.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I saw Joan obviously at the finale, but that's you know,
- 16:20Speaker 1: on the stage, and you ever long don't have a
- 16:22Speaker 1: lot of time to really talk. I saw her at
- 16:24Speaker 1: the the after party, but probably only got to talk
- 16:27Speaker 1: to her for like, you know, a minute, you know,
- 16:29Speaker 1: so not much so, but I'm very comfortable seeing her.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I you know, I thank her, you know, because she
- 16:38Speaker 1: she allowed me to move forward, and you know, and
- 16:42Speaker 1: I mean, how can I be upset about that? And
- 16:44Speaker 1: obviously at the end of the show, I mean the
- 16:46Speaker 1: emotions you saw at the end, those are really emotions.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I tell people, I said, I say, I can't I
- 16:51Speaker 1: can't fake this stuff, I said, But I said, I said,
- 16:55Speaker 1: you know, they said, well, did you really fall in love?
- 16:58Speaker 1: I said, I say, at the moment, yes, I said,
- 17:01Speaker 1: but mostly as I look back on it, I fell
- 17:04Speaker 1: in love with the idea falling in love.
- 17:07Speaker 5: And that's you know, that's a win too. It is
- 17:09Speaker 5: absolutely a win.
- 17:10Speaker 1: And that again that's allowed me to like know that
- 17:13Speaker 1: I can feel this way again because I didn't think
- 17:16Speaker 1: I could. I thought, this is you know, I'm just
- 17:17Speaker 1: going to you know, get a old shrivel up and
- 17:20Speaker 1: you know, and you know be watching, you know, with
- 17:23Speaker 1: a little fortune every night, you know, sparked.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Or like a like an interest or a spark and
- 17:29Speaker 3: like a reinvigoration, which I think there's so many good outcomes.
- 17:33Speaker 3: It can happen, yes in the show, whether it's a
- 17:35Speaker 3: happily ever happily ever after, or it's an inspiration or
- 17:38Speaker 3: it's like a confidence.
- 17:40Speaker 5: So interesting I still remember.
- 17:42Speaker 1: And so when we first won on the show, we'd
- 17:45Speaker 1: gotten like a little opening packet and there was a
- 17:48Speaker 1: letter from Claire and Bennett and you know, I read
- 17:53Speaker 1: through this thing and I read through it. At the
- 17:55Speaker 1: end too, I was like, oh my gosh, you know,
- 17:56Speaker 1: this is this is so insightful. And I remember they
- 17:59Speaker 1: wrote you will get out of this experience which you
- 18:03Speaker 1: put into the experience, And it was when I've read
- 18:07Speaker 1: at the beginning didn't really.
- 18:10Speaker 5: Have any impact on me at the time.
- 18:11Speaker 1: At the end I read it and I said, I said,
- 18:14Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I'm so glad because I did. I
- 18:18Speaker 1: got out of it because I put everything I had
- 18:21Speaker 1: into it. By the end, I just opened myself up
- 18:24Speaker 1: and I just let my emotions just run. And so
- 18:28Speaker 1: I just found that, you know, very insightful. As I
- 18:30Speaker 1: went back and reread it a second time, and I
- 18:34Speaker 1: even went up to him, I said, you, guys, I said,
- 18:35Speaker 1: this is this is beautifully written in their life and
- 18:38Speaker 1: don't give us too much credit.
- 18:41Speaker 5: Card.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Well, thank you for joining us.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Man.
- 18:44Speaker 2: It's really great to get to meet you and great
- 18:46Speaker 2: to have you on the show. And I liked, you know,
- 18:48Speaker 2: at the top of the show, a lot of people,
- 18:51Speaker 2: well no one would have seen this obviously, but Gary,
- 18:53Speaker 2: you and Gary hanging out. Gary's like, is this where
- 18:55Speaker 2: we go? You know, he's like looking out for you.
- 18:57Speaker 2: And you know, I love the friendships that come from
- 18:59Speaker 2: so like.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That to incredible friendships for life and I know you
- 19:03Speaker 1: guys probably had the same thing. And you know, and
- 19:06Speaker 1: you get closer to closer some individus more than the others,
- 19:10Speaker 1: just you know, because there's a bond. And like Gary
- 19:13Speaker 1: and I, it was quite interesting. We met waiting to go,
- 19:17Speaker 1: you know, waiting in the outside the limousines, waiting to
- 19:20Speaker 1: meet Joan and I met him there and we bonded immediately.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Yeah, and have just it's.
- 19:27Speaker 1: It's you know, he's my brother from another mother.
- 19:31Speaker 5: You know.
- 19:31Speaker 4: So it sounds like you want on so many levels.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Thanks you so much. Welcome, we'll see if you can.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Welcome the weekend. Welcome to the week I'm so ready,
- 19:40Speaker 3: I am so ready.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Well, thank you man, thanks for joining us.
- 19:43Speaker 3: We appreciate it.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Thanks for being almost famous to O G's and good
- 19:45Speaker 2: luck tomorrow with your new clubs.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to it.
- 19:49Speaker 5: We'll see what happens. I guarantee you'll still beat me.
