- Chris Laker: Entertainment news last night I saw You Can See Everything. That's the Nathan Fielder documentary about Elizabeth Holmes. They call her Liz in the movie. That's not a spoiler, it's good to know. Because I started watching the movie. All of a sudden they started saying Liz or Lizzie, forget, and I was thrown. And then I remembered, that's right. That's short for Elizabeth. You're talking about her. Be prepared. Won't give you any other spoilers. You don't gotta see it in the theater. That's a spoiler, maybe. You can wait on this. It if I'm gonna give it stars, out of I believe I'm a forty eight star system right now, I'll give it thirty seven. It's good, it's really good, it's interesting. Don't need to see it in theater. But you can. It's fun. It's fun enough to go see. I don't regret seeing it in the theater. I'm just not telling you run out and see it in the theater. most people seem to go crazy for it in the theater. There was applause at the end of the movie. That doesn't happen that often. It doesn't make any sense when there's nobody involved with the movie in the theater. I didn't feel the need to applaud at the end of the movie. but a lot of people did. go see if you were like going to see it tonight, go see it. Enjoy yourself. You probably like it better than I liked it. Not saying I did not like the movie. There's a lot of hype around this movie, at least in my algorithm. So I was expecting to be blown away and I blown away. It is good though. You know it's seat in the theater. Go see it tonight. Then you're a part of that opening weekend box office, which is all that matters. If you go see it next week, that money means nothing to anybody. They're like, so what? Opening weekend. If it's not killing today, people are like, This movie sucks. We made a big mistake. If people don't see a movie, the first couple of days it comes out, they're never going to see it. Why do they expect people to see things the first day? You want to wait a week sometimes. Calm down with your opening box office number. calm down in general with the box office number. That's not business I need to know. Nobody needs to be involved with monitoring box office numbers unless you're involved with the film. At a high level. I like this movie. it didn't do well at the box office. I guess I don't like it anymore. They're trying to say Digger's a bad movie. I still haven't seen Digger. Go see Digger too. Digger needs your help. go see you can see everything, and then also go see. Digger and Other Mommy looks good, but I haven't seen that. On what looks good, I'd say Digger and Other Mommy. You can see everything is also pretty good. It's a documentary. Very close up. A lot of extreme close ups of faces. That's good to know going in. you know I'm gonna up my stars. What did I put at 30? I'm gonna put it at forty one. Forty-one stars. That's that's respectable. Once you get above the forty mark, we're talking go see it in the theater. any standards and measures in my reviewing are completely made up in the moment and can change it every time. go see a movie tonight. maybe I'll go see that other mommy. it looks scary. it is time for scary movies. ever since I let my A-list lapse, I don't go to the movies that much. Might have to get back into that A-list lifestyle, four movies a week. Then it's a challenge. If you're not seeing four movies a week, you're throwing money in the trash. No, I can't go to your party. I have to go to the movies. I have A list. Do you want AMC to beat me? I want them to regret the A List program when they see how many movies I've seen. You think I can see four movies a week, AMC? I will. And they will all be IMAX. If there is a 3D option, I am taking it. Whatever the most expensive version of the movie is, I am seeing it. And I'm sneaking in my own snacks. I do like the Coca-Cola freestyle machine though. They get me on the drinks. I'm gonna get the Cherry Coke Zero out of the Coca-Cola freestyle machine. That's gotta be filled with chemicals. Th no way Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero is not taking a little bit of time off my life. that's entertainment news. Go to the movies. See, you can see everything. Digger another mommy. Tonight. Three movies. Drink a cherry vanilla Coke Zero. Don't drink too much. it's got that stuff in there. I don't know what's making it taste like that. And then the sweetener, whatever that one is. Is that aspartame? I forget. None of it's good. But have a night at the movies. I'm gonna get to the news. Pope discharged from hospital days after lung cancer surgery. He's gonna be fine. I'm basing that on nothing. I'm just saying he's gonna be fine in the same way when there's news of like, there's a hurricane coming, and then people, it's gonna be nothing. Just to say that. So if it isn't anything, you can say, you see, I told you it's nothing. And it feels nice to say he's gonna be fine. I saw that the surgery was successful. The Vatican tends to put a positive spin on awful things. Not to get into that right now when the man's healing, been known to fib a little. as far as popes go, he's a good pope. I hope he's okay. he's gonna be fine. Mexican judge sentences three men to one hundred and fifty eight years in prison for murders of Australian and US surfers. they were robbing these guys and they killed them, to rob people in the first place, that's not cool. You should rob a company or a bank don't hurt anybody. Don't be one of the bank robbers that hurts people. Be the bank robber that uses the fake gun because you get less time and you don't hurt anybody. You hand the teller a note and they fill up the bag with money and get out of it. That's how you rob. You don't rob a person walking down the street. that is wrong. Robbing the bank's wrong too, but it's more wrong to rob a person and then to kill the person you're robbing. That that's really bad. the person's getting robbed and they're like, fuck, I'm getting robbed. Now now they're getting killed. 158 years, it's very specific number. You think you can round it up to one hundred sixty or drop it down to one hundred fifty. 158 years, you know what? That's a little harsh. I'm gonna bring it down to one hundred fifty. that means that your body has to be in jail for 150 years. you're gonna die, and then your body stays in the prison, and then you could be buried or whatever after that. Not that I think that bodies should stay in prison. That doesn't make any sense. They have family. that probably want to have a funeral after they die in prison, I guess. If you have family and they murder somebody, you still want to have a funeral? I've never had that happen to me. I've never had a murderer in my family. Never had to think about it. I'm not for a funeral for anybody. I don't want a funeral. people love them, which I never understand how much people love to have a funeral, which is the worst event for everybody. I've never been to a funeral where I was like pretty happy about this. but I'm not like most people. Most people prefer a funeral. It's ritual. They're used to it. They think not getting one somehow is a slight to a dead person, which I don't think it is. I think it's nice for the dead person. Because say the dead person can really be there at the funeral. You think they want to be at a funeral? That's the last place I want to be when I'm dead is at a funeral. I'm already dead. Now I gotta see the dead thing and the people be sad and all that. No, I don't want to be at that. I wouldn't go to my own funeral. When if I have a funeral which would be against my wishes and I'm able to go as a spirit, I will not be there. If you are at my funeral, which you won't be because I'm outliving everybody, but if you are at my funeral and you think you feel my spirit, you do not. That's made up in your head. I'm not there. I am anywhere else. There's so much else for me to see. Probably won't be on it anywhere on Earth. Why would I be on Earth? That's where I spent my life. if I am a spirit in the spirit world. not wasting my time at some stupid funeral. Sorry. Enjoy it. Well, you won't enjoy it because it'll be a sad event. I don't want anybody laughing. I don't want anybody joking. I don't want one of those types of he would have liked if we left. No. Grieve. Be sad. It's awful. To live in a world without me, what point is the world if I'm not in it? Elon Musk agrees to settle lawsuits over two thousand four election lottery. that sounds like election fraud settling a lawsuit. So he's not criminal and he's not admitting wrongdoing and they're not disclosing what the numbers are or anything like that. And he gets to do whatever he wants because he is theoretically a trillionaire. I don't think he has a trillion dollars. In people's minds, he's a trillionaire. So I guess he is. In people's mind, he's also a schmuck. So he's also that. Hundreds arrested, tear gas deployed in chaotic protest across France over cost of living concerns. Everything's more expensive. People are upset. I think it's got a lot to do with the Iran war. they're taking it to the streets in France. If people were out in the street here I would go. If it was close to my house though, I gotta be able to walk to the protest. Driving to a protest, then you gotta drive out of there. And where do you park? need a walking distance protest. I'm gonna show up a little late. Any sign of trouble, I'm out of there. I'm not trying to get arrested for show. I'm not trying to get beat up by a cop. I'm just going to say, Hey, I went to the protest. New Wildfire in Southern California explodes in size, burning multiple homes. these fires. I don't live near trees. There's a couple of trees around, but not enough. I wouldn't live in any woods. the embers can carry in the wind. I feel very safe in the neighborhood I'm in. I'm nowhere near these current fires. I'm talking about future fires that could happen. I used to see stories about wildfires in California. I would think, Maybe you're not supposed to live in California. And now I live in California and I see it Yeah, it's just fire season. it's amazing what you can get used to. Amber Geiger, police officer who murdered black neighbor in his home, released from prison. She served seven years of a 10 year sentence. She went into the wrong apartment. She thought she was going into her apartment, the door pushed open, there was a guy in his apartment eating ice cream, watching TV. And she shot him 'cause she thought he was a burglar and feared for her life. And she served seven years for that. She didn't intentionally murder somebody, but seven years. It still is like even as mistakes go, fuck you. You're a cop. You're supposed to fucking notice shit. You don't even know you're not in your apartment. You open the door, you don't even see this isn't my place. This isn't my furniture. I'm gonna shoot a guy sitting on a couch. I fear for my life. Cause a man's eating ice cream on the couch. what the sentence is supposed to be. Sounds like bullshit. Katie Zachariah fired after five days as White House press secretary. I didn't even realize that was her name. That was so funny. I'm mad that they fired her. There should have been more of those press conferences. She was a rare talent. I've never seen anything like it. is wrong. I hope she gets a TV show. I want to see her talking. she was so uniquely gifted. shome stars just shine too bright. Florida art dealer gets prison for scheme to sell fake Andy Warhol artworks. I think Andy Warhol would be in favor of this. Isn't it art if it's fake Andy Warhol? It's like even more Andy Warhol than Andy Warhol. And I love I love a scheme. I love an art scheme. Because you're scheming art people, they just want to feel like they own a thing. If you got a fake Andy Warhol hanging in your house and you thought it was real for your whole life, is it in a different experience than the actual real Andy Warhol? This person is guilty of what? Selling dreams to people who probably could not get the real thing. You're knocking a few bucks off you're selling a fake, because you're acting like, this is underground. You d you can't you gotta be quiet about it, keep it to yourself. And then that person's off psyched that they got the real Andy Warhol. Everybody's happy. This guy gets in prison over that. that seems wrong to me.
