- 1:22Speaker 1: throw over 200 yards, Luther Burden to have 50-plus receiving yards,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and DeAndre Swift to have a touchdown. Super excited about it.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Make this your most rewarding season ever with FanDuel. All right,
- 1:32Speaker 1: we just got to get right into it. The first
- 1:35Speaker 1: game of the day that we are going to talk
- 1:37Speaker 1: about was the best one. It was the only decent
- 1:40Speaker 1: one in the afternoon slate, and that's right. It is Chiefs-Broncos,
- 1:45Speaker 1: a massive, massive AFC West showdown. The Broncos end up
- 1:51Speaker 1: winning 28-24. Bo Nix finally looks like himself, 20-32, 222
- 1:56Speaker 1: yards and two touchdowns. And the Chiefs and Patrick Holmes,
- 2:01Speaker 1: they looked really good too. This was a classic matchup. Look,
- 2:04Speaker 1: if the Broncos would not have won this game, they
- 2:07Speaker 1: would have been two and a half games back of
- 2:09Speaker 1: the Chiefs. Chiefs would have been easily at the start,
- 2:12Speaker 1: at the top of the league. They would have been
- 2:14Speaker 1: six and one. Broncos would have been five and three.
- 2:17Speaker 1: How much better does six and two for the Broncos look?
- 2:20Speaker 1: And it's just the Broncos over and over again, trying
- 2:24Speaker 1: to find a way to win. Let's start on the
- 2:26Speaker 1: Chiefs side of things. Man, you got back-to-back losses. Mahomes,
- 2:32Speaker 1: in my opinion, has looked deadly accurate versus a really
- 2:35Speaker 1: good Broncos defense. He had that 73-yard touchdown pass, which
- 2:39Speaker 1: I thought was amazing on this fake screen and go
- 2:42Speaker 1: to Emmitt Johnson. It was so good. It was vintage
- 2:44Speaker 1: Andy Reid. But how about the end of the game?
- 2:47Speaker 1: How about how it ended, right? It was back and forth.
- 2:50Speaker 1: The false start penalty on Jalen Moore. Oh, my gosh.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Mahomes throws– on that play right there on the fourth
- 2:59Speaker 1: and one at the one, it was absolutely no doubt
- 3:01Speaker 1: about it. A false start. And look, the Broncos are
- 3:04Speaker 1: rushing hard. I get what they're hearing. It's really loud.
- 3:07Speaker 1: There's stuff going everywhere, but I love the play call emotion.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey from the right all the way to the
- 3:14Speaker 1: left where she rice was in a stack to the left.
- 3:16Speaker 1: He ends up on a shallow cross. He's really the alert.
- 3:19Speaker 1: He's really not the first read. Travis Kelsey was, and
- 3:22Speaker 1: he was able to just dot him in the end
- 3:24Speaker 1: zone in the Broncos stadium. Fell so quiet. It was unbelievable.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, the flag at the
- 3:32Speaker 1: top of the screen, my son saw it. I mean,
- 3:34Speaker 1: my son saw it first. He's like, Dad, there's a
- 3:35Speaker 1: yellow flag. Oh, no. My wife's from Kansas City, so
- 3:39Speaker 1: obviously she's a Chiefs fan. So we were all literally
- 3:42Speaker 1: just watching it going nuts right there because we thought
- 3:45Speaker 1: that the Chiefs ended up coming back to win. But ultimately,
- 3:49Speaker 1: on the fourth down, man, you cannot take a sack
- 3:51Speaker 1: like that. I know, look, the Broncos defense, they showed up. Um,
- 3:56Speaker 1: I really thought during the four minute drive, right? So
- 4:00Speaker 1: Kenneth Walker had a third and one run. I think
- 4:03Speaker 1: there was a little, but that this drive took like
- 4:05Speaker 1: six minutes off the clock. It was a drive before
- 4:08Speaker 1: the two minute drive to go down and almost win
- 4:09Speaker 1: the game for Patrick Mahomes. I thought the play calling
- 4:12Speaker 1: was excellent from Andy Reed, Kenneth Walker, third and one run.
- 4:16Speaker 1: He's a little slow to start in the first half,
- 4:18Speaker 1: but he ended up getting a lot better in the
- 4:20Speaker 1: second set in the second half. That was an insane run. Um,
- 4:25Speaker 1: keep the clock running. He stayed in bounds. And then
- 4:27Speaker 1: Emmitt Johnson, who just completely balled out of his mind,
- 4:30Speaker 1: had over 120 yards receiving. Obviously that big one, that
- 4:34Speaker 1: 73-yard fake pass, fake screen and go that we're talking about.
- 4:38Speaker 1: But the Emmitt Johnson one, which I thought was vintage Mahomes,
- 4:41Speaker 1: he's on the left side. He checks to it. It's
- 4:43Speaker 1: third and two. He checks to a little cross screen again.
- 4:46Speaker 1: They faked it. So they went back to the original play,
- 4:49Speaker 1: got the first down. But ultimately on that drive, Mahomes
- 4:55Speaker 1: had a massive, massive mistake. Okay, Mahomes cannot take a
- 5:00Speaker 1: sack on the third down. It went from a 48-yard
- 5:05Speaker 1: field goal to a 54-yard field goal. You can say
- 5:09Speaker 1: all you want about Mahomes, and I think he played excellent.
- 5:12Speaker 1: That was the one play of the game that he's
- 5:15Speaker 1: going to want back. Look, Harrison Butker is struggling so
- 5:20Speaker 1: much for the Kansas City Chiefs. He's two for seven
- 5:23Speaker 1: on the season. But he missed that 54-yard field goal
- 5:26Speaker 1: with two minutes left to play to give the Broncos
- 5:29Speaker 1: the ball back. Then the Broncos go down. Massive play call.
- 5:32Speaker 1: We'll talk about them in a second. To get down there,
- 5:35Speaker 1: they end up scoring. And then the Chiefs now have
- 5:37Speaker 1: a return out to the 44-yard line. Big play to
- 5:40Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey. They get down there. I thought literally it
- 5:44Speaker 1: was a fumble from the Kenneth Walker run in. I
- 5:47Speaker 1: think it was on third and goal. Broncos were excited.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Bo Nix, almost premature celebration right there. But you go there,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and then the fourth and one play call, you're putting
- 5:57Speaker 1: in Mahomes' hands. Oh, my gosh. Would have had another touchdown.
- 6:02Speaker 1: From a Chiefs point of view, it is gut-riching to
- 6:06Speaker 1: have back-to-back losses. But Mahomes' numbers are awesome. 30 of 41,
- 6:10Speaker 1: 321 yards, three touchdowns. It was only sacked twice. 120
- 6:13Speaker 1: quarterback rating. would have had that fourth one. And the Chiefs,
- 6:21Speaker 1: they got to figure out sort of who they want
- 6:24Speaker 1: to be, right? Offensively, Kenneth Walker played a lot better
- 6:28Speaker 1: in the second half, but he ended up with 21 carries,
- 6:30Speaker 1: 69 yards, 3.3 yards of rush, zero touchdowns. Emmitt Johnson
- 6:35Speaker 1: obviously took the five catches, 128 yards. He led the
- 6:39Speaker 1: team in receiving. Never a good thing, in my opinion,
- 6:41Speaker 1: when a running back leads the team in receiving. Travis
- 6:44Speaker 1: Kelsey and Rasheed Rice combined for 15 targets, 12 catches.
- 6:48Speaker 1: over 120 yards almost. So I thought Travis played really well.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Rasheed Rice played really well. And you look at this
- 6:55Speaker 1: game and you look at just the Chiefs side. We're
- 6:57Speaker 1: going to get to the Broncos, I promise. You got
- 6:59Speaker 1: a lot of stuff on the Broncos. But the Chiefs
- 7:01Speaker 1: were almost 50% on third down. They had 22 first downs.
- 7:05Speaker 1: They had 90 yards rushing, over 300 yards passing, and
- 7:09Speaker 1: were two for three in the red zone until the
- 7:11Speaker 1: very end of the game. But they had 11 penalties
- 7:13Speaker 1: for 105 yards, all that hidden yards. They had zero turnovers.
- 7:16Speaker 1: They played almost a perfect game and only scored 24
- 7:19Speaker 1: points in loss, and it was because of the Broncos.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Let me just start out by saying about the Denver Broncos.
- 7:27Speaker 1: There's been a lot of people talking about the play
- 7:30Speaker 1: calling and the terminology and how poorly that Bo Nix
- 7:35Speaker 1: has played. I just want to give Sean Payton his
- 7:38Speaker 1: credit where credit is due because in these last two
- 7:41Speaker 1: or three weeks, specifically this game against the Broncos, or sorry,
- 7:46Speaker 1: against the Chiefs, He pulled out his best play calls
- 7:49Speaker 1: in the most important situations. Talk about situational play calls,
- 7:54Speaker 1: third downs, fourth downs. Two fourth down touchdowns throws sprint
- 8:00Speaker 1: outs on goal-to-go situations. I mean, it was unbelievable. It
- 8:04Speaker 1: was a massive fourth down conversion to Jalen Waddell and
- 8:06Speaker 1: a sprint out right before the half. That kept him
- 8:08Speaker 1: into the game. And then they come back to it
- 8:11Speaker 1: in a fullback, fourth and goal, really late in the
- 8:13Speaker 1: game in the fourth quarter after a pitiful third quarter
- 8:16Speaker 1: by everyone. was able to answer the bell right there.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I just think Bo Nix has really gotten better as
- 8:22Speaker 1: Sean Payton has taken over. And it's just a completely
- 8:25Speaker 1: different thing. Let me just imagine, let me just take
- 8:28Speaker 1: you inside because Davis Webb was the offensive play caller.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Davis would change the terminology about 30 to 40% of
- 8:34Speaker 1: the offense was completely changed. So the first couple of
- 8:37Speaker 1: years of games that you're going to get back with
- 8:39Speaker 1: Sean Payton, he's going back to what he's used to
- 8:41Speaker 1: and it's different terminology. He said, screw all that stuff.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You just got to trust the process with the Broncos.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I like the play calling here. Look, Bo Nix ends
- 8:50Speaker 1: up 20-32, 2-22. They only ran for 77 yards. This
- 8:54Speaker 1: is a good Chiefs defense. But the play calling and
- 8:57Speaker 1: situational downs was awesome. Second half, to me, really the
- 9:00Speaker 1: third quarter on offense was brutal. Could get absolutely nothing going.
- 9:05Speaker 1: But I can't tell you how massive of a win
- 9:08Speaker 1: this is, not only for the Broncos organization, but for
- 9:11Speaker 1: Bo Nix. He did an interview after the game. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: believe with Tracy Wolf, Wolfson, JJ Watt and Jim Nance
- 9:17Speaker 1: called it. And he was just smiling from ear to
- 9:21Speaker 1: ear because he knew how important this game was for
- 9:25Speaker 1: AFC West. You can't go down two and a half,
- 9:26Speaker 1: three games on the chiefs. Chiefs are now reeling. Broncos
- 9:30Speaker 1: are now rolling. Um, and, and then like the play calling,
- 9:33Speaker 1: I want to go back to like, everyone thinks in
- 9:36Speaker 1: two minute drills that you just got to drop back,
- 9:38Speaker 1: throw it deep down the middle of the field. You
- 9:40Speaker 1: got to do all this stuff. The one play after
- 9:42Speaker 1: they got the ball back, um, After the missed field goal,
- 9:45Speaker 1: the first play was unbelievable. It was a trips bunch
- 9:49Speaker 1: formation to the short side of the field. Bo Nix
- 9:52Speaker 1: starts left, then goes back right to Coleman, the running back,
- 9:55Speaker 1: throws it. And Nick Bolton was the one covering him.
- 10:00Speaker 1: completely screws up. You don't have to do that. So
- 10:02Speaker 1: you're starting to call plays to your strength. And I
- 10:06Speaker 1: think that's what's really, really important about this game. I mean,
- 10:09Speaker 1: I could not get over this. This AFC West matchup
- 10:13Speaker 1: is going to come down to the So the Chiefs
- 10:17Speaker 1: obviously beat the Broncos early in the year. Now they
- 10:19Speaker 1: split their one-on-one records, six and two Broncos, five and
- 10:23Speaker 1: two Chiefs. This was a battle of probably what I
- 10:27Speaker 1: would say two of the three best teams in the AFCM,
- 10:30Speaker 1: including the Bills. We're going to get to them here
- 10:33Speaker 1: in a second. Really, we're going to get to them next,
- 10:34Speaker 1: but just an awesome game. I mean, I'm a fan
- 10:38Speaker 1: of the game, so you should have seen me going.
- 10:39Speaker 1: All right, let's move on. Two matchup that I did
- 10:43Speaker 1: not think was going to be this crazy, but it
- 10:47Speaker 1: was Bills 36, Ravens 10. Oh, man. It was actually
- 10:52Speaker 1: close in the first half. Bills are now 6-1. Ravens
- 10:55Speaker 1: are now 4-4. Ravens are sort of imploding. But the
- 10:59Speaker 1: story of the day, make no doubt about it, is
- 11:01Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson. He gets hurt on literally the first Ravens
- 11:06Speaker 1: offensive play. They put him on IR, probably everything. Honestly,
- 11:10Speaker 1: the way that I saw the thumb, the thumb was
- 11:12Speaker 1: like bent. I don't know if it was broken. I
- 11:14Speaker 1: don't have the exact, I'm not a doctor, but it
- 11:17Speaker 1: did not look good. And it's his throwing hand. There's
- 11:19Speaker 1: just no way you can grip the football. I mean, they,
- 11:22Speaker 1: it's just, it's really, really bad. And Tyler Huntley comes in.
- 11:27Speaker 1: He had been playing. He gets hurt too. Joe Fagnano,
- 11:31Speaker 1: UConn undrafted free agent, then comes in at quarterback. But
- 11:36Speaker 1: that's the hardest thing to do when you're, The Baltimore
- 11:41Speaker 1: Ravens to go in, like, let me take you inside
- 11:45Speaker 1: the thought process after Lamar gets hurt. He's been out
- 11:49Speaker 1: for so long. Oh, his ankles. He can't stay healthy.
- 11:52Speaker 1: He's made of glass. Tyler Huntley comes in. They're like, okay, yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 1: your teammates are like, all right, we got this. Like,
- 11:58Speaker 1: Huntley's played enough. Like, we got a shot. Then all
- 12:01Speaker 1: of a sudden Joe Pagnano comes in and he's the
- 12:03Speaker 1: emergency third string quarterback. He's got no reps. the entire
- 12:09Speaker 1: week at practice. Because think about this. Lamar Jackson took
- 12:12Speaker 1: all the ones. That means it's all the first team offense.
- 12:15Speaker 1: There's no first team offense that goes to any other quarterbacks.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Tyler Huntley then is the scout team quarterback. So he's
- 12:21Speaker 1: playing really Josh Allen for the Ravens defense all week.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And Joe Fagnano's probably getting no reps at all. And
- 12:28Speaker 1: so when you go in there, I can't tell you
- 12:30Speaker 1: the last time he probably ran a play. The play
- 12:32Speaker 1: calling has to differ. Declan Doyle has to differ. And
- 12:34Speaker 1: it was just a complete disaster. The Ravens are done
- 12:40Speaker 1: without Lamar Jackson. They cannot function without him. Here's what
- 12:47Speaker 1: you have to start thinking. If you're the Ravens, because
- 12:50Speaker 1: of first-time head coach, do you end up with a
- 12:53Speaker 1: trade candidate at the deadline? Tyler Huntley, we don't know
- 12:56Speaker 1: his extent of his injury. Jacoby Brissett is out there.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins is out there. More on him later in
- 13:01Speaker 1: the show. But I just wonder, in their mind, if
- 13:04Speaker 1: Snoop Huntley can't go, do they sign somebody who knows
- 13:07Speaker 1: the Declan Doyle offense, maybe from Chicago? Case Keenum, I
- 13:11Speaker 1: don't think that Chicago Bears want him. I'm just saying, like,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you can't just punt on the season, but it's going
- 13:17Speaker 1: to be really, really difficult. Here's another thing that I
- 13:19Speaker 1: just didn't understand. The Ravens had 134 total yards. That's really,
- 13:24Speaker 1: really hard to do. How in the world does Derrick
- 13:27Speaker 1: Henry only have 53 rushing yards? They threw it 26 times,
- 13:32Speaker 1: and I know once you get to a point where
- 13:34Speaker 1: you're behind, it was a really close game in the
- 13:37Speaker 1: first half. The Bills just sort of erupted in the
- 13:40Speaker 1: second half, but Derrick Henry, 11 carries, 53 yards, and
- 13:43Speaker 1: a touchdown. Just 11 carries. Your whole entire season and
- 13:48Speaker 1: game plan has to now be built off of Derrick
- 13:51Speaker 1: Henry and Justice Hill. You've got to find ways to
- 13:54Speaker 1: get stuff going. I feel bad for Zay Flowers and
- 13:57Speaker 1: Rashad Bateman. Zay Flowers came in He had five targets,
- 14:00Speaker 1: no catches. Zay Flowers is like top five, top six
- 14:03Speaker 1: in the league in receiving. And the numbers with Lamar
- 14:07Speaker 1: are crazy. I mean, there's the hope of that organization.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Like Jesse Minter now having to deal with this. How
- 14:12Speaker 1: does he keep the team together? All that stuff matters.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Now let's go into the Bills. The Bills to be
- 14:18Speaker 1: six and one. I think they are the team to
- 14:21Speaker 1: beat outside of either the Broncos or the Chiefs in
- 14:27Speaker 1: the AFC. They are the one seed. And I just
- 14:30Speaker 1: really enjoyed the play calling and the game plan from
- 14:34Speaker 1: Joe Brady and Pete Carmichael. I really liked the first drive.
- 14:39Speaker 1: It set the tone. They were aggressive in the red
- 14:40Speaker 1: zone on fourth down on the first one and then
- 14:43Speaker 1: ended up kicking a field goal. You ended up taking
- 14:46Speaker 1: the points. They really surged in the second half. But
- 14:49Speaker 1: I feel like this is a team that if they
- 14:53Speaker 1: get hot at the right time and their defense continues
- 14:56Speaker 1: to come on, which their defense forced three turnovers, But
- 15:00Speaker 1: DJ Moore and Dalton Kincaid shined, in my opinion. Look
- 15:03Speaker 1: at the target share from Josh Allen. Josh Allen spread
- 15:06Speaker 1: the football around. They threw it 34 times. They ran
- 15:08Speaker 1: it 41. We're going to get to the run game
- 15:10Speaker 1: in here in a second. But look at this target share.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Dalton Kincaid, six targets. DJ Moore, seven targets. Khalil Shakir,
- 15:16Speaker 1: six targets. In the past game, the Buffalo Bills are
- 15:19Speaker 1: their absolute best when they're able to get everyone involved. Obviously,
- 15:22Speaker 1: Josh Allen is doing Josh Allen things. 21-34, a ho-hum,
- 15:25Speaker 1: almost 300 yards. two touchdowns. The interception to me was
- 15:29Speaker 1: not his fault. Like they should have a stat. I
- 15:32Speaker 1: know producer Kent is on the show. He probably thinks too.
- 15:35Speaker 1: They should have a stat that just throws away interceptions
- 15:38Speaker 1: that doesn't count for quarterbacks with balls that are hit
- 15:42Speaker 1: and dropped. Like the ball was right in, but it
- 15:44Speaker 1: was a thick, it was a, it was a pick six, but,
- 15:46Speaker 1: or as I'm sorry, it's the interception by a defensive lineman.
- 15:49Speaker 1: So he got lucky, but also like, let's spin this
- 15:53Speaker 1: forward because you don't really play well in the first half.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You surge in the second half and then you get
- 15:59Speaker 1: this run game going. How about this? Like James Cook,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I think one of the top, if not the top
- 16:04Speaker 1: running backs in the entire NFL, 21 carries 80 yards,
- 16:07Speaker 1: average 3.8 yards to carry one touchdown. The fact that
- 16:10Speaker 1: they did not go away from him and continue to
- 16:13Speaker 1: pound the rock opened up the play action game. And
- 16:15Speaker 1: Josh Allen uses legs to Josh Allen. I'm OK with
- 16:18Speaker 1: you being the second leading rusher. Seven carries 30 yards.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Ended up with a touchdown touchdown. But how about this?
- 16:23Speaker 1: Ray Davis got in on the action. Six carries, 30 yards.
- 16:26Speaker 1: They ended up with 146 yards rushing as a team.
- 16:30Speaker 1: And I think Joe Brady, since he took over a
- 16:32Speaker 1: few years ago calling plays, I think he's done an
- 16:35Speaker 1: outstanding job in his first year. He does not get
- 16:37Speaker 1: enough credit. The fact that he has the Bills 6-1,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I think that's an actual really, really good job coaching.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I mean, now you look forward on their schedule, right?
- 16:47Speaker 1: You look forward. The Minnesota Vikings 6-1 versus the Buffalo
- 16:51Speaker 1: Bills 6-1. 11-9 Monday night football. They get a long
- 16:56Speaker 1: week to get ready for it. This team's going to
- 16:58Speaker 1: be going. But then, I mean, then, you know, they
- 17:00Speaker 1: got two easy games, Bills, Jets, Bills, Dolphins, and then
- 17:04Speaker 1: you got Chiefs, Patriots, Packers, Bears. So their schedule gets really,
- 17:09Speaker 1: really tough from here on out. I'm glad that they
- 17:12Speaker 1: ended up getting going on this offense. If they can
- 17:14Speaker 1: click defensively, which I think they have. I think they
- 17:18Speaker 1: played a lot better on the defensive end of things.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Bills are looking every bit the best team in the
- 17:25Speaker 1: AFC right now. And I don't think anyone wants to
- 17:27Speaker 1: play them. In fact, I would say, I would go
- 17:29Speaker 1: on a limb and say they're probably the most dangerous
- 17:31Speaker 1: team in the AFC right now because of the way
- 17:34Speaker 1: their quarterback played, because of the way that Joe Brady
- 17:36Speaker 1: is play call sequencing these things. These two teams, right, Ravens-Bills,
- 17:42Speaker 1: they could not be going more in the different direction.
- 17:46Speaker 1: The AFC West, I just, or sorry, the AFC East
- 17:49Speaker 1: to me, I think just, just, It's going to come
- 17:52Speaker 1: down to Patriots bills. All right, let's move on. I
- 17:56Speaker 1: thought this was the game of the day outside of
- 17:59Speaker 1: the Chiefs Broncos game. Detroit Lions. Yes, guys sort of
- 18:05Speaker 1: forgot about it. They lost two early games. They're five
- 18:07Speaker 1: and two. They win 19 to 15 over the Vikings
- 18:10Speaker 1: who are or were the NFL's last unbeaten. I just
- 18:17Speaker 1: think there's a lot of stuff. to get into for
- 18:21Speaker 1: this game. Let's start on the Vikings side of things.
- 18:24Speaker 1: The Vikings are carried right now by their defense in
- 18:28Speaker 1: Brian Flores. So when their defense in Brian Flores has
- 18:31Speaker 1: an off game and only allows 19 points to one
- 18:34Speaker 1: of the best, if not the best, offenses in the
- 18:37Speaker 1: NFL and the joint lines, you would think, hey, the offense,
- 18:42Speaker 1: we have to step up. When you hold a team
- 18:45Speaker 1: to 19 points, you expect to win this game. You
- 18:48Speaker 1: should be able to score over 19 points to win.
- 18:52Speaker 1: And Brian Flores, look, he's called another exceptional game, I thought.
- 18:56Speaker 1: The Vikings, 18 missed tackles. And the Vikings gave up.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Here's the one thing, and we're going to talk about
- 19:04Speaker 1: from the line side, but the Vikings gave up 230
- 19:07Speaker 1: rushing yards on the ground. Was not good. Let's get
- 19:10Speaker 1: to the most important player in this entire game for
- 19:13Speaker 1: the Vikings. It's Kyler Murray. There's a lot of stuff.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Right now on the internet, on the deep, dark web
- 19:20Speaker 1: of the Vikings being said about Kyler Murray. Is he
- 19:22Speaker 1: the guy? Is he not the guy? I thought Kyler
- 19:25Speaker 1: Murray played okay. I thought he played okay. I thought
- 19:29Speaker 1: that the first half was a lot. He was filling
- 19:33Speaker 1: out the defense. And mind you, this is against a
- 19:35Speaker 1: Detroit defense that has been giving up a ton of points.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Kyler was 17 and 29, 210 yards, two touchdowns, and
- 19:43Speaker 1: an interception. He played a lot better in the second half.
- 19:47Speaker 1: You have to put him under center more. If you
- 19:49Speaker 1: follow my breakdowns, which we're going to end up breaking
- 19:51Speaker 1: them down tomorrow on my channel, it's called The Breakdown.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Search Chase Daniel. If you're here, you're watching it. You
- 19:57Speaker 1: understand it. But I feel like you have to put
- 20:00Speaker 1: him under center more and do more play action. You
- 20:03Speaker 1: have to have a run game with him. He cannot
- 20:06Speaker 1: be the leading rusher. Four carries, 35 yards. He's starting
- 20:09Speaker 1: to use his legs a little bit more. Hasn't thrown
- 20:11Speaker 1: a lot of touchdowns going into this game, but I
- 20:15Speaker 1: feel like he really struggles against the blitz. Now in
- 20:19Speaker 1: the second half, I thought it was better. He started
- 20:22Speaker 1: letting it loose. He started feeling a little bit more comfortable,
- 20:24Speaker 1: a lot more play action. And then when throws needed
- 20:27Speaker 1: to be made, the big time scene throw to TJ
- 20:30Speaker 1: Hawkinson up this, up the middle was excellent. Too high
- 20:33Speaker 1: safety for Detroit been to been there. Excellent job by Hawk.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And then the, Big time, beautiful post throw to Jordan
- 20:41Speaker 1: Addison was awesome. And then the TD throw to Hawk,
- 20:45Speaker 1: maybe not the next play, but on that drive was
- 20:47Speaker 1: exceptional play call. And they flipped it to the left.
- 20:50Speaker 1: They faked it. He looked right, even pumped it right,
- 20:52Speaker 1: which told me he understood where he's going to the
- 20:54Speaker 1: football and then laid it over a linebacker and over
- 20:57Speaker 1: a safety to an outstretched arms of TJ Hawkinson. Another
- 21:01Speaker 1: thing too, Justin Jefferson, I mean, look, his TD catch
- 21:05Speaker 1: was unreal. It was OBJ-ish, mind you. But he's got
- 21:11Speaker 1: to be so frustrated right now. Five catches, 33 yards.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And the touchdown wasn't even called for him. It was
- 21:18Speaker 1: a run play. And so they're having a hard time
- 21:21Speaker 1: getting one of the best receivers in football, along with
- 21:23Speaker 1: Jamar Chase, I would say. They're having a hard time
- 21:26Speaker 1: getting him the ball. And then you look at what
- 21:28Speaker 1: the interception was before the half. I think completely changed
- 21:32Speaker 1: the game if you're Tyler Murray. It was an absolute joke.
- 21:35Speaker 1: You're running to the left and you're trying to throw
- 21:39Speaker 1: an over route. But in fact, at least that's what
- 21:41Speaker 1: I saw. It was a bootleg to the left. There's
- 21:43Speaker 1: an over route and a corner route and a flat route.
- 21:46Speaker 1: He ends up trying to throw the over. It sails
- 21:48Speaker 1: and the guy covering the corner route intercepts it. So
- 21:52Speaker 1: instead of maybe going up 10-3 there with like right
- 21:55Speaker 1: and field goal range, they intercept it. And then the
- 21:57Speaker 1: Lions go down in the half 7-6. You still have
- 22:00Speaker 1: the lead. Here's one thing I want to say. And
- 22:03Speaker 1: this is not completely far-fetched. If you are the Vikings,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you need to be back in the race and back
- 22:13Speaker 1: in the thought of absolutely looking into Kirk Cousins. Like,
- 22:18Speaker 1: why are you not secretly checking into the Raiders and
- 22:23Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins? Kirk is absolutely balling. Had an amazing game
- 22:26Speaker 1: versus the Jets. Your defense cannot carry you the entire year. Yes,
- 22:31Speaker 1: I agree. that Kyler played well in the second half.
- 22:34Speaker 1: And oh, by the way, you traded away J.J. McCarthy,
- 22:37Speaker 1: who's now starting for the Giants and has the Giants
- 22:39Speaker 1: in first place in the NFC East. Let that sink
- 22:41Speaker 1: in right there, right? I think you have to for
- 22:45Speaker 1: sure be back channeling and understanding, hey, is this even
- 22:49Speaker 1: an option? What would this look like? Kirk Cousins, come
- 22:52Speaker 1: home to the Minnesota Vikings. I think it would be awesome.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Like I said, the defense was pretty good, but this
- 22:58Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins thing, Trade deadline coming up. Never know what'll happen.
- 23:01Speaker 1: How about the Lions side of things? First of all,
- 23:04Speaker 1: I just want to, I just want to say like
- 23:07Speaker 1: Jack Campbell. Okay. He was carted off during the game,
- 23:09Speaker 1: stretchered off. It is so emotionally taxing on a player.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I know we might not think that when you're down
- 23:19Speaker 1: there and you're playing a game and you're watching on
- 23:22Speaker 1: TV as a fan and you're seeing, okay, well they're
- 23:24Speaker 1: on a knee. It's like the same song and dance,
- 23:26Speaker 1: but man, It is really, really difficult to watch your teammate.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I mean, he wasn't moving for a little bit. To
- 23:32Speaker 1: watch your teammate sort of get hit like that and
- 23:35Speaker 1: then try to get back up. Sorry, not try to
- 23:38Speaker 1: get back up, but put him in a stretcher to
- 23:40Speaker 1: go to the hospital. And now it's a really serious injury.
- 23:44Speaker 1: He's staying in the hospital, hoping, praying for a recovery.
- 23:47Speaker 1: But that extended stoppage, because not only are you thinking
- 23:50Speaker 1: and worrying about your teammate, his parents, his spouse, his
- 23:55Speaker 1: possible kids, if he has any. But then you have
- 23:58Speaker 1: to actually like get ready and get to go in
- 24:00Speaker 1: the game. And I think there's no doubt about it
- 24:02Speaker 1: that the Lions really rallied together to win this for
- 24:06Speaker 1: Jack Campbell. So it's a very, very serious situation. I'm
- 24:09Speaker 1: hoping all the best. Let's get to the Lions defense, though,
- 24:12Speaker 1: because they played much better today. But you got to
- 24:15Speaker 1: give it to the Lions offense. They clearly dominated the
- 24:19Speaker 1: line of scrimmage and kept the Vikings out of all
- 24:22Speaker 1: of their stuff on defense. Chase, what do you mean? Yes,
- 24:25Speaker 1: the Vikings blitz at 70% of the time. That's an
- 24:30Speaker 1: absurd amount of rate. It's not just blitzing one guy.
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's having seven or eight guys on the line of scrimmage,
- 24:35Speaker 1: not knowing what you're going to do. I actually hated
- 24:38Speaker 1: how the Lions game plan started. Four sacks in the
- 24:41Speaker 1: first half, but then he wasn't sacked again. So what
- 24:44Speaker 1: were they doing in the first half that was so crazy?
- 24:46Speaker 1: They were trying to block it up. They were trying
- 24:48Speaker 1: to take shots and the Vikings were getting home. It
- 24:50Speaker 1: just didn't work out for them. Goff clearly had a
- 24:55Speaker 1: good game, but he wasn't able to really read the
- 24:59Speaker 1: field because the pressure was getting on him so fast.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Goff's numbers, by the way, 18-25, 176 yards, a touchdown,
- 25:05Speaker 1: an interception. This is clearly the best defense that they
- 25:07Speaker 1: faced all year, and they won. But in the second half,
- 25:12Speaker 1: they decided, forget all this. They got to what Dan
- 25:14Speaker 1: Campbell wants to do, and that is run the dang football.
- 25:18Speaker 1: How about this? 230 yards rushing. I'm going to Start
- 25:24Speaker 1: on this show. The first read bust them with the boys.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Jameer gives her MVP. Yes, I know it's a quarterback award,
- 25:30Speaker 1: but what he's able to do, he is the catalyst
- 25:34Speaker 1: of that offense. 23 carries 153 yards in a touchdown.
- 25:38Speaker 1: You heard it here. First, first read Jameer gives, let's
- 25:41Speaker 1: start going. Uh, it just seems like every single play,
- 25:44Speaker 1: it just could go the distance. He's got such good vision.
- 25:47Speaker 1: He's got such good speed to get on the outside.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I thought the Vikings did a really poor job, um,
- 25:52Speaker 1: especially in the second half when the lines were just like,
- 25:54Speaker 1: we're just going to line up and run it right
- 25:56Speaker 1: down your throat. The different schemes that they were able
- 25:59Speaker 1: to get to was awesome. And then just a question
- 26:03Speaker 1: for everyone out here. Do you think that Sam Laporta,
- 26:07Speaker 1: Jamison Williams, Amara St. Brown, and Jameer Gibbs could possibly
- 26:11Speaker 1: be the best big four in the NFL? Because we're
- 26:14Speaker 1: not talking about this Jamison Williams cat. But he led
- 26:17Speaker 1: the team in receiving four catches, 70 yards and a touchdown,
- 26:20Speaker 1: six targets along a 46. It seems to me like
- 26:22Speaker 1: he is really started to come on. The thing with
- 26:25Speaker 1: him early in his career was he couldn't get lined up.
- 26:27Speaker 1: They only could give him a certain amount of plays.
- 26:29Speaker 1: He played a lot of snaps today. Amon Ra, you know,
- 26:33Speaker 1: in the slot, seven catches, 46 yards, moving all over
- 26:35Speaker 1: the place. But this game belonged to Jameer Gibbs, Jameson Williams.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Sam Laporta was held, you know, three catches, 33 yards.
- 26:42Speaker 1: But I'm just saying that if this Lions team can
- 26:44Speaker 1: figure out the defense, they can get rolling. How good,
- 26:46Speaker 1: by the way, is the NFC North, Detroit, Minnesota? We're
- 26:50Speaker 1: talking about Chicago. I mean, the Packers are four and three,
- 26:55Speaker 1: I believe. And are they the worst team in the division?
- 26:59Speaker 1: Or like, how do you view Detroit? I mean, there's
- 27:02Speaker 1: so much to look forward to in this division. All right,
- 27:05Speaker 1: before we get to the last game, let's take a
- 27:07Speaker 1: quick This football season, whether you're buying tickets, booking travel,
- 27:10Speaker 1: or shopping for team gear, protect your pocket with Visa.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Tapping to pay without checking which card? Not a pro move.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Tapping to pay with Visa? That's a pro move. Visa
- 27:20Speaker 1: runs more than 500 security checks to help identify fraud
- 27:24Speaker 1: before transactions are approved, so you can focus your defensive
- 27:27Speaker 1: strategy on other things. Like defending your executive decision to
- 27:31Speaker 1: order pineapple anchovy pizza for the whole watch party? That
- 27:35Speaker 1: might not be a pro move. But paying with Visa is. Visa,
- 27:39Speaker 1: the most trusted way to pay for football fans everywhere.
- 27:41Speaker 1: All right, back here on the first read. Let's get
- 27:44Speaker 1: to Brown Steelers. Steelers, absolute mollywhopped the Cleveland Browns. This was,
- 27:52Speaker 1: believe it or not, a battle of first place in
- 27:54Speaker 1: the AFC North. Yeah, the Browns, crazy, huh? Steelers are
- 27:57Speaker 1: now 6-2. And the Browns are now 5-3. They're still going. Here's...
- 28:03Speaker 1: I just want to start off by saying this against
- 28:05Speaker 1: the Steelers. And I had to look this up. And
- 28:07Speaker 1: I'm reading this off my phone. June the 5th of 2026,
- 28:12Speaker 1: so this offseason, I really felt like the Steelers are
- 28:16Speaker 1: being slept on. I didn't get why people were down
- 28:19Speaker 1: on them. Iron Rodgers played better than you thought last year.
- 28:22Speaker 1: That was June. And, dude, I got to say, People
- 28:27Speaker 1: are still sleeping on the Steelers. How can you not
- 28:29Speaker 1: like this team? Like, you can tell me that they
- 28:32Speaker 1: can win with Rodgers throwing for under 200 yards, no
- 28:36Speaker 1: touchdowns and interception, and they can rush with my McCarthy
- 28:40Speaker 1: call in place. They can rush for over 200 yards
- 28:43Speaker 1: in the defense force turnovers like this. This is the
- 28:46Speaker 1: way the Steelers can roll and win. It's really impressive.
- 28:49Speaker 1: The Steelers are actually really good. I never really thought
- 28:53Speaker 1: they could win games. To be honest with you, I
- 28:55Speaker 1: said this in June. but with Rodgers only throwing for
- 28:58Speaker 1: 172 yards in a pick. And if this team can
- 29:02Speaker 1: continue to quietly build, to quietly stack wins, and to
- 29:07Speaker 1: win with their defense, which they took the ball away
- 29:12Speaker 1: from Deshaun and the Browns, but they have 200 yards rushing,
- 29:16Speaker 1: and it all starts and it all ends with a
- 29:21Speaker 1: guy by the name of Jalen Warren. He's absolutely balling
- 29:24Speaker 1: 143 yards. rushing yards, Rico Dattle played very well, very
- 29:29Speaker 1: tough runner. They have a legitimate, really good run game.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And then the past game, DK Metcalf, I mean, what
- 29:38Speaker 1: are we doing on this interception? I mean it wasn't
- 29:40Speaker 1: Roger's fault if he catches that he's over 200 yards
- 29:42Speaker 1: but that just threw it right up to the to
- 29:45Speaker 1: the Browns um defender but I would say in a
- 29:49Speaker 1: long time watching the Steelers team hey you know I
- 29:54Speaker 1: think their last playoff win was like in 2060 don't
- 29:56Speaker 1: quote me but I think that's what it was against
- 29:58Speaker 1: the Steelers it's been quite some time that's ultimately why
- 30:00Speaker 1: they made a change from Mike Tomlin to Mike McCarthy.
- 30:04Speaker 1: But I got to say, this Mike McCarthy-led offense, I
- 30:07Speaker 1: thought it was his best game called of the season.
- 30:10Speaker 1: No doubt about it. It wasn't just quick throws. He
- 30:13Speaker 1: was putting Aaron Rodgers under center. He was spreading the
- 30:15Speaker 1: football around. They were leaning on the run based on
- 30:18Speaker 1: how this game was going. But it wasn't just what
- 30:21Speaker 1: they were doing in the run game. It was a
- 30:22Speaker 1: lot of these quick hitting runs. It wasn't all these
- 30:25Speaker 1: outside zones or duos that are taking place– taking a
- 30:29Speaker 1: really long time to finally get going down here. These
- 30:33Speaker 1: were traps, like downhill runs, under center runs, movement plays,
- 30:38Speaker 1: which Aaron Rodgers, I get it, he hates. There's not
- 30:40Speaker 1: a lot of motion. There's not a lot of fluff.
- 30:43Speaker 1: It's literally just the Browns are trying to get to
- 30:44Speaker 1: the quarterback, and he's just hitting these trap runs back
- 30:48Speaker 1: to back again. And then, dude, the defense, you're just
- 30:51Speaker 1: bringing pressure from everywhere. You sacked Deshaun Watson eight times.
- 30:56Speaker 1: I mean, it was like legitimately one of the funnest
- 30:58Speaker 1: things that I've seen a team to be able to watch.
- 31:02Speaker 1: You sacked them eight times. You got two takeaways as
- 31:06Speaker 1: a team. So eight sacks, two takeaways, and you run
- 31:09Speaker 1: for over 200 yards. That is a definite team that
- 31:13Speaker 1: can go and play football into January and maybe February.
- 31:19Speaker 1: They got to get these receivers rolling. Didn't love the
- 31:21Speaker 1: way Um, a lot of these guys play Darnell Washington.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I mean, it's great. He played awesome, but you're, you're
- 31:27Speaker 1: top two receivers. Okay. Darnell Washington, three catches, 94 yards
- 31:32Speaker 1: long at 58. So pretty much all in one. And
- 31:34Speaker 1: Pat Friermuth, DK Metcalf, six targets, one catch, four yards.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Where are you at? You got to show up. Got
- 31:40Speaker 1: to get Jalen Warren more involved in the past game.
- 31:43Speaker 1: But Rico and Jalen, I mean, they ran the ball
- 31:46Speaker 1: 33 times. Rogers only threw it 25. I've been really
- 31:49Speaker 1: impressed with this Steelers team. they are definitely trending up now.
- 31:53Speaker 1: But the Browns side of things, it's just a brutal,
- 31:55Speaker 1: brutal loss for the Browns. I think the Browns were rolling. Watson, look,
- 31:58Speaker 1: ends up throwing for 323 yards, but they only scored
- 32:00Speaker 1: six points. Shador Sanders came in and went two for two.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I don't think it's time for Shador Sanders. The Browns
- 32:07Speaker 1: have everything in front of them. They're five and three.
- 32:10Speaker 1: But it is an interesting thought. Like, you know, is
- 32:13Speaker 1: this Browns team for real? Because they sort of got
- 32:16Speaker 1: whooped right here. I think they're better than a lot
- 32:18Speaker 1: of people think. You look at the next two matchups,
- 32:22Speaker 1: really three matchups. They got the Saints at the Saints.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Then they got the Texans at home, which will be
- 32:27Speaker 1: a tough game. Texans are 2-5. Saints are 2-5. Raiders 4-4,
- 32:31Speaker 1: right in the middle of the pack. And then they
- 32:32Speaker 1: end up Browns, Falcons, Giants. I mean, sorry, Bengals, Falcons, Giants, Ravens.
- 32:38Speaker 1: And you know how we felt about the Ravens. I
- 32:41Speaker 1: just think, Deshaun, it's the first time I've really seen
- 32:44Speaker 1: them rattled and not really sure where to go with
- 32:46Speaker 1: the football. But how about this stat too? Shout out Mitch.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Browns have lost 22 straight regular season games in Pittsburgh.
- 32:56Speaker 1: 22 straight. That looks like a typo, but it's not
- 32:59Speaker 1: because I double checked it. They haven't won a regular
- 33:01Speaker 1: season game there since 2003, 8,248 days ago. I like
- 33:07Speaker 1: this Browns team a lot. I do. I think Todd
- 33:09Speaker 1: Monk is doing a great job. I think they have
- 33:11Speaker 1: a really good offensive core. You throw for a lot
- 33:13Speaker 1: of yards, but it's the first time I've seen Deshaun
- 33:15Speaker 1: really get rattled, not know exactly where to get with
- 33:19Speaker 1: the football. All right, let's move on in the show.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Let's move on to my favorite segments. Who's trending up
- 33:24Speaker 1: and who's trending down? And boy, we got some really,
- 33:27Speaker 1: really good ones. This is just like around the league.
- 33:29Speaker 1: We're going to hit some games that we didn't hit,
- 33:31Speaker 1: maybe hit some games that we already hit, but it's players, coaches,
- 33:34Speaker 1: maybe teams, maybe owners. Terry Jones, no one's safe in here,
- 33:38Speaker 1: but I don't think you're on here. But let's start
- 33:40Speaker 1: trending up. Topic one, the Bucs. The Bucs are trending up. Dude,
- 33:45Speaker 1: you win. First of all, you want to know a stat.
- 33:48Speaker 1: All right, where is this at? The Bucs won a
- 33:52Speaker 1: game without completing a pass. Quiet, quiet. Yeah, they won
- 33:58Speaker 1: a game without completing a pass. It's the first time
- 34:01Speaker 1: since 1974. I mean, it was an absolute monsoon. They
- 34:07Speaker 1: end up winning 16 to nothing over the Falcons. And
- 34:12Speaker 1: you look at, This Bucs team, they started really poor.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Baker missed a lot of games with his thumb. He's
- 34:19Speaker 1: looked all right. I mean, I can't even really count
- 34:21Speaker 1: this game. I mean, it's absurd. You can't even have
- 34:23Speaker 1: one completion, like just a little bubble out there. But
- 34:27Speaker 1: big wins against the Panthers, big wins against the Falcons.
- 34:31Speaker 1: And don't look now, but are they the current favorite
- 34:34Speaker 1: to win the NFC South? I think so. Okay, I
- 34:40Speaker 1: didn't even realize this. I thought it was 224. The
- 34:42Speaker 1: Bucs ran for 324 yards on the ground because that's
- 34:45Speaker 1: all they did. That's all they could do in a
- 34:47Speaker 1: rain game. It is very difficult, by the way, to
- 34:49Speaker 1: throw in a rain game. I would not go out there.
- 34:51Speaker 1: And this wasn't just a rain game. It was a monsoon.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Bucky Irving, 27 carries, 170 yards and a touchdown. And
- 34:59Speaker 1: the Bucs are a rushing team. Who would have thunk it?
- 35:02Speaker 1: They're second in team rushing yards behind Chicago. How about that?
- 35:05Speaker 1: More importantly, how about the Bucs defense? Four interceptions off
- 35:09Speaker 1: Michael Penix. More on him later. Kenneth Gainwell also rushed
- 35:13Speaker 1: 25 times for 140 yards. That is... That's a good game.
- 35:17Speaker 1: All right, moving on to Jaguars. Sneaky team. Sneaky good
- 35:21Speaker 1: AFC team. You got to put them up there with
- 35:23Speaker 1: the Bills. You got to put them up there with
- 35:24Speaker 1: the Chiefs Broncos as the top tier of the AFC.
- 35:28Speaker 1: 28 points in the first half. A 94-yard pick six
- 35:32Speaker 1: against the lowly Colts. More on them in a second.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Trevor is absolutely cooking. How about this for an efficient line?
- 35:38Speaker 1: First of all, you only throw the ball... 14 times
- 35:41Speaker 1: in this, but you complete 10 of them. You complete
- 35:43Speaker 1: 10 for 210 yards. So in my math, 21 yards
- 35:48Speaker 1: per completion. That is throwing the football down the field.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Three touchdowns, no interceptions. Super efficient. Tutton was dominant on
- 35:54Speaker 1: the ground. 16 rushes, 104 yards. No one is talking
- 35:57Speaker 1: about this team, and Liam Cohen actually really likes it.
- 36:00Speaker 1: And then the defense too. Let's talk about this team more.
- 36:04Speaker 1: The most underrated team In football, Jags defense, three sacks,
- 36:08Speaker 1: two interceptions, fumble recovery, and held Colts to 33% on
- 36:12Speaker 1: third down. Ah, brutal. And then my final training up,
- 36:16Speaker 1: which I really like this player. I scouted this guy, A.D. Mitchell.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Come on now. He went to Texas. He's extremely fast.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Was drafted a few years ago by the Colts, but
- 36:25Speaker 1: he was a part. How about this? He was a
- 36:27Speaker 1: part of the Colts trade, Colts-Jets trade, excuse me, involving
- 36:31Speaker 1: Sauce Gardner. So Jets got A.D. Mitchell, a 2026 first round,
- 36:34Speaker 1: a 2027 first round, first round pick as well. And
- 36:39Speaker 1: the Jets use a 2026 pick to get Kenyon Sadiq.
- 36:42Speaker 1: So you got AD Mitchell, you got Sadiq, you got
- 36:47Speaker 1: throwing bombs over there. Like Gino Smith, they look good. Look,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I understand like rough, rough season, but this is one
- 36:56Speaker 1: of the bright spots. Like this was a throw in.
- 36:58Speaker 1: They were like, ah, you know, needs a new start.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Nine catches, 123 yards coming into this game. He had
- 37:03Speaker 1: been hurt, right? You got to give receiver do where
- 37:06Speaker 1: it is. Seven catches, 143 yards, plus a touchdown. The
- 37:09Speaker 1: dude's throwing the football down the field. I thought he
- 37:12Speaker 1: always showed flashes of potential. He's really good on straight
- 37:15Speaker 1: line routes, these deeper routes. But where I've really seen
- 37:17Speaker 1: a lot of improvement is on these underneath routes, right?
- 37:19Speaker 1: These slant, these middle of the fields. I think he
- 37:22Speaker 1: compliments Garrett Wilson very well, unless they trade him. Who knows?
- 37:26Speaker 1: We'll see. Maybe A.D. Mitchell could be the number one
- 37:28Speaker 1: receiver for the Jets. All right, let's get to producer
- 37:31Speaker 1: Kent Garrison's favorite topic of the day. It's trending down.
- 37:38Speaker 1: You are the lead person in this, Michael Pinnock Jr.,
- 37:41Speaker 1: because you threw four interceptions. I get it. It's raining.
- 37:44Speaker 1: It's really difficult to throw the football. But you threw
- 37:47Speaker 1: three interceptions in the first half. Drake London only had
- 37:50Speaker 1: one catch. Falcons now 3-5. Bucs improved to 3-5. The
- 37:54Speaker 1: NFC South absolutely likes. Yikes, excuse me. But when you
- 37:59Speaker 1: go through that, if you're a quarterback that does this,
- 38:04Speaker 1: you've got to just flush this thing, man. You got
- 38:06Speaker 1: to move on. You got to keep it rolling. Forget
- 38:08Speaker 1: about it. Somehow you're three and five. I believe the
- 38:11Speaker 1: winner of the NFC South is probably going to be
- 38:14Speaker 1: eight and nine. Moving on. Oh, man, I've been waiting
- 38:16Speaker 1: for this one. The Colts and Daniel Jones and everyone.
- 38:20Speaker 1: You end up firing Chris Ballard. I think it's the
- 38:22Speaker 1: right move. I'm a big Chris Ballard fan. But how
- 38:25Speaker 1: about the Daniel Jones? The Daniel Jones deal that the
- 38:29Speaker 1: Colts did is looking pretty scary right now. I know
- 38:32Speaker 1: we just finished Halloween. They still owe Daniel Jones $ 38 million.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Only 10 of that's guaranteed, though. So you better be
- 38:40Speaker 1: sure that they are going to be looking for a
- 38:42Speaker 1: quarterback in the upcoming 2027 NFL draft. I think it's time. Well,
- 38:49Speaker 1: I don't know. Is it time? I'll let you decide.
- 38:51Speaker 1: To bench Daniel Jones. The backup is Anthony Richardson. Daniel
- 38:56Speaker 1: Jones had that one really good season last year. I
- 38:58Speaker 1: thought he's playing well. And more importantly, the Colts. Are
- 39:01Speaker 1: you in tank mode? Yes, you are. You traded away
- 39:04Speaker 1: Quentin Nelson. You traded away DeForest Buckner. Here's the one
- 39:08Speaker 1: thing that I'm going to be really interested in. Do
- 39:11Speaker 1: you trade away your stud, Jonathan Taylor? He wants out.
- 39:15Speaker 1: I can tell he wants out. Aging back, I think
- 39:18Speaker 1: he can go to a contender. I think he can
- 39:20Speaker 1: go to somebody that's going to win. Man, it's a bad,
- 39:24Speaker 1: bad time to be an Indianapolis Colts. All right, topic three.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Can't... you, this is, you put this
- 39:31Speaker 1: in there and I love it. And I agree with you.
- 39:33Speaker 1: The Dallas Cowboys. Oh, I turned the game off. I'm like, guys,
- 39:39Speaker 1: you're winning. They lost at home to the Arizona Cardinals.
- 39:44Speaker 1: 33 to 30. Not only did they lose at home,
- 39:46Speaker 1: they lost to a backup Gardner Minshew. Uh, Cowboys are
- 39:51Speaker 1: one in nine against Arizona dating back to 2008. They
- 39:54Speaker 1: only had a win. And how about the Arizona Cardinals
- 39:57Speaker 1: had a chance to win it in, uh, regulation. They
- 40:01Speaker 1: score to go up 30. They, they tie it at 30,
- 40:04Speaker 1: 30 extra point coming in shanked left kicker. Hadn't missed
- 40:08Speaker 1: a lot at all. Uh, but Ryland totally redeems himself
- 40:12Speaker 1: with an overtime kick. Uh, Josh Sweat got a really
- 40:14Speaker 1: big sack, uh, to an overtime for the Cardinals opportunity.
- 40:18Speaker 1: But Dallas defense, man, you cannot stop anyone. It is
- 40:21Speaker 1: so bad. When you score 30 points, you expect to
- 40:24Speaker 1: win and you're at home. And Dallas usually is pretty
- 40:26Speaker 1: good at home. The secondary is rough. Look, the one
- 40:30Speaker 1: guy who is balling, Quentin Williams, had two sacks. It
- 40:32Speaker 1: doesn't matter. They need more horses on defense. Here's this
- 40:37Speaker 1: last thing about Dak. And I'm a Dak fan. I
- 40:41Speaker 1: break him down quite a bit on my channel. Dallas
- 40:43Speaker 1: gained 34 yards of offense. on its final 27 plays. Okay.
- 40:49Speaker 1: 34 yards. The Cardinals picked up almost 270 yards on
- 40:52Speaker 1: its final 31 plays in the same timeframe frame. What
- 40:57Speaker 1: is happening? First home loss in Cowboys history. We leading
- 40:59Speaker 1: by 14 more points. Like it is all on shoddy.
- 41:03Speaker 1: The Brazil Baltimore loss, Jalen Daniels loss. And now this
- 41:08Speaker 1: it's going to get really interesting. Uh, around coaching time.
- 41:13Speaker 1: I like shotty though. All right, let's get to the next.
- 41:16Speaker 1: And this is good ball, bad ball. These are a
- 41:18Speaker 1: game ball awards, helmet stickers. Might you say if we
- 41:21Speaker 1: were doing college, good ball winner for me, Imani Hooker.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Anytime you can go out there and you can get
- 41:26Speaker 1: three interceptions against Joe Burrow, your first Titan with three
- 41:30Speaker 1: interceptions in one game since Kevin Byard in 2017. Oh,
- 41:33Speaker 1: by the way, they didn't end up winning because they
- 41:36Speaker 1: did Titans things. Um, but he got paid because of it.
- 41:40Speaker 1: How about this? He gets a $ 250, 000 bonus with at
- 41:43Speaker 1: least four interceptions. He now has five and he got
- 41:46Speaker 1: it all in one. He gets 500,000. Oh, if you
- 41:48Speaker 1: get six, these bonuses are real people. You got to
- 41:51Speaker 1: go at art, bad ball winner, just a game in
- 41:53Speaker 1: general for the Falcons versus bucks. It's a total slot
- 41:57Speaker 1: fest in the rain. No one likes to watch it. Look,
- 41:59Speaker 1: I get the bucks. You win 16 to nothing without
- 42:01Speaker 1: throwing a pass. Hooray. There you go. No one in
- 42:03Speaker 1: the right mind wants to watch this. It's not your fault.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's the rain. Um, I thought it was really amusing
- 42:09Speaker 1: how the Bucs were just like, we're not even going
- 42:10Speaker 1: to try to throw it. Baker has small hands. Falcons
- 42:13Speaker 1: are first team to be totally shut out in 2026.
- 42:17Speaker 1: That's crazy. So it is actually bad ball all the
- 42:21Speaker 1: way around in that game. All right, let's get to
- 42:23Speaker 1: the final block of the show. It's called the two
- 42:26Speaker 1: minute drill where we are just going to shout things
- 42:28Speaker 1: from the rafters, and let you know everything that went
- 42:31Speaker 1: on against the league. Ready? Go. All right, Joe Burrow,
- 42:33Speaker 1: how about that? Overcome three interceptions. You throw five touchdown passes.
- 42:38Speaker 1: You balled out, my brother. I think the last three games,
- 42:42Speaker 1: if I can do math, 13 touchdowns the last three games.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I think it was four or four. You threw three interceptions, though,
- 42:47Speaker 1: but you end up running it. Connections with Jamar Chase
- 42:50Speaker 1: and Teagans just remind me that you, sir, are unstoppable,
- 42:54Speaker 1: and you, sir, probably have the best big three in
- 42:56Speaker 1: the entire league. And we said it before, when Joe
- 42:58Speaker 1: Burrow is on, I don't think there's anyone better. How
- 43:00Speaker 1: about Jamar Chase, though? 11 catches, 141 yards and a touchdown.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Teagan Sten catches 155 yards and two touchdowns. These look
- 43:09Speaker 1: like crazy ones. Vikings, last unbeaten. No more. Everyone's got
- 43:14Speaker 1: a loss. I don't know the stat, but I'm sure
- 43:16Speaker 1: that's crazy because this is only week eight. They lose
- 43:18Speaker 1: 19-15 at the Lions. More importantly, what happens at the
- 43:22Speaker 1: trade deadline? Where do the Jets, more importantly, go for here?
- 43:25Speaker 1: Do you trade Garrett Wilson? And who wants Garrett Wilson?
- 43:29Speaker 1: The Chiefs could use him. The Chiefs could use him. No,
- 43:32Speaker 1: I'm just saying. It's going to be interesting to see that.
- 43:36Speaker 1: We talked about Dallas, Arizona. Cam Ward started to look
- 43:38Speaker 1: like a true NFL quarterback until make or break time.
- 43:41Speaker 1: He needs to continue to get better with it. The
- 43:43Speaker 1: Rams win back-to-back games. First time this season. And the
- 43:48Speaker 1: Chargers lose their seventh straight game. The definition of insanity.
- 43:53Speaker 1: is doing the same thing over and over again and
- 43:56Speaker 1: expecting a different outcome. There have to be changes there.
- 44:00Speaker 1: The Chargers feel like insanity to me. And the Patriots
- 44:03Speaker 1: hang on a late game rally by the Dolphins. The
- 44:05Speaker 1: Dolphins are not very good, but they play freaking hard.
- 44:08Speaker 1: You better be going for it. Drake May, though, 16
- 44:10Speaker 1: to 20, almost 200 yards, passing two touchdowns and a
- 44:13Speaker 1: rushing touchdown. And guys, that's it. That's week eight. That's
- 44:16Speaker 1: the show for the first read. Make sure you subscribe
- 44:18Speaker 1: to Bustin' with the Boys. Make sure you subscribe to
- 44:20Speaker 1: my channel. We will see you.
