  However, you fans were so good to me and I had such a wonderful

  time at the Dome. The Dome is going good for me

  and all of you walked up to me and you're like, I can't wait to

  So first thing I want to address is after my heat race win, how

  about that qualifying effort by the old man here?

  than to win running low. So anyway, we we ripped the

  decking out of my car when I was qualifying because I put it on

  the high side, as old Larry Mac Reynolds say.

  Then we started on the pole of our heat and we won our heat

  race and my car felt real good. So after I won my heat race, Flo

  TV comes to me and they said Bobby Pierce says you are an

  asphalt racer. So here's where that story

  starts. Bobby.

  Bobby's a good friend of mine and his family is wonderful.

  If you go back to last year, remember I sponsored Bobby

  Pierce. I made a big deal about it.

  I gave him a $2500 check trying to kick start because Bobby was

  down a sponsor. This happens in that dirt super
• 2:31
  late model race and need a sponsor.

  So I said let me make a big deal.

  Let me promote Bobby. And I love Bob and Angie and all

  of them Sierra, she's being a mom now.

  But I like the Pierces. So they got me and Bobby Pierce

  part right next to each other at the Dome and Bobby saw that I

  ripped the deck out of my car in qualifying and I said I pushed

  getting in because Bobby and myself we were talking about

  lanes to run in qualifying. And I told Bobby, well, first of

  all, let me go back to the sponsor deal.

  We ended up getting Bobby a sponsor, my buddy Gary St. sin

  at low voltage solution. So remember, I, I gave Bobby

  that sponsor and, and then that promoted him and then Gary St.

  Senate low voltage said, hey, you think that Bobby Pierce is

  worth sponsoring? I said, Oh yeah, he's good and a

  great family. So me and Bobby, we talk and,

  and Bob. So anyway, Fast forward, I said,

  Bobby, I was tight getting into turn one on my first qualifying

  lap. Ripped ass in off.

  And Bobby's, Bobby's upset right now because his car's not

  running the way he wants it to run.

  And Devin Moran is sitting right there, standing there listening

  to our conversation and Bobby's like, my car's no good and it's

  not right. And I looked at him.

  I said, Bobby, Professor Kenny Wallace here, professional,

  positive mental attitude, man. Whenever, whenever anybody gets

  depressed, they call Doctor Wallace.

  So I had to go into recovery mode for Bobby.

  Bobby was right in front of Dev, asked Devin Moran.

  Devin, ain't that right? And everybody in the series know

  My buddy Bobby, he starts like panicking, like I'm no good, I'm

  I said the reason I knocked my deck out is because I didn't get

  my car tossed sideways. I said that's why, That's why I

  tore the ass in off, I said. But the next lap I got that

  bitch turn and qualified third. But I was QuickTime for about

  90% of qualifying. We had 33.

  There's 66 mods, but are 63, I think there's 66 modified.

  But yesterday we qualified 33. Well, I was on the pole for 90%
• 5:34
  of the time. Then Trent, Trent Young kicked

  my ass. And then Trevor Neville, Trevor
• 5:39
  Neville and Ricky Thornton. They got to be the favorites to

  win the mods tonight. So anyway, that's what that flow
• 5:46
  interview was all about, you know, and I am an asphalt racer.

  Oh, Louie wanted in. He'd come in.

  I heard the door scratch and that was Louie.

  But anyway, so Fast forward, I was just trying to make Bobby

  Pierce feel better. I said, Bobby, I'm just an old

  asphalt racer. I don't even know what I'm

  doing. I don't like to be sideways.

  So we got we got Bobby. He was a little, he was a lot

  happier after he watched my interview.

  He started him and Bob come out. They started laughing.

  By the way, a lot of people wanted to know where I come up

  Holy crap. Got out on that racetrack and it

  was slippery and so we run 5th. That was good.

  I was excited. Had some heroes behind me.

  I don't like getting sideways, but I watched the replay and had

  a little gap behind, you know, 5th to 6th and those are some

  hot rods behind me, so I'll take fifth.

  So we line up on the pole in the 4th qualifier.
