- Jacob Bunce: Alright, welcome back to Fader Follow. You got Grant and I, Jacob here, ⁓ super excited to kind of walk through our week one college football picks. We're gonna do a little recap of week two. ⁓ obviously you missed us, we didn't have any content out, and then NFL week one had some family shit going on, so didn't find the time to record. But anyway, don't wanna spend too much time on that shit. We are pumped. We are ready. Football's all the way back. We're Bears fans. We're Ohio State fans. Obviously, one of those teams had a great week and the other shit down their leg. ⁓ but we'll get into that as well. ⁓ Grant, say hi to the peach. Fade or Follow: Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, what's good everyone? We got our we got the full satur Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Friday night if you're a degenerate. We got it all back. We are so we are all the way back. No more week zero. No more just call no more week one college. We are all the way back. So let's get after it. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, it's ⁓ it's it's technically we're recording this on Wednesday and yesterday I felt like a little pit in my in my in my stomach all day. I was like, wait a minute, there's not a a a a football game on? Fade or Follow: Yeah, no, for sure. Yeah. We had Thursday because we had Yeah, 'cause we had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday night football. All of it we had game Yeah, I know, right? Yeah. I thought there'd be a there was a where's the FCA? Yeah. Where where's the FCA or six? I know. The withdrawals kick in quick. Jacob Bunce: I thought maybe Eastern Michigan would be on or something, you know. I don't know. I I I felt like I wanted to place some money on something and I was I was deprived. Yeah. ⁓ it's it's kind of that point now, yeah, where you know it's it's kind of that regularly scheduled Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, ⁓ which is totally fine. And then we got the holidays and whatnot coming up rapidly. It's already mid September. I was putting Jackson down to sleep. My son And normally when I turn the light off, it's still brightness room, but it was dark. And ⁓ it's like I'm happy because it's not gonna be ninety-five degrees out here in Charlotte anymore. ⁓ but also a little sad because I don't like when it gets dark so early, but that means football. So, you know, I'll take it. I'll take the I'll take the trade off. I'll take the trade off. I go ahead. Fade or Follow: Mm-hmm. Yeah. No. No, I f I feel it. No. Yeah. Do you take the good with the bad? Yep. For yeah, for me, my for me it's like I have I still have this you don't have this problem anymore, but when the it starts getting dark early, I have like the Ned Stark moment of winter is coming. So I'm a I have that fe I have that like I'm like, God damn it, it's coming, but it it it is what it is, you know what I mean? So you don't have you don't have to deal with that. Luckily you don't have to deal with that problem anymore. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. I do not. I do not have to deal with it anymore. I've lived through it for twenty eight years, so I get it. ⁓ but have fun with that. Yeah, have fun with that. Fade or Follow: Yes. Yeah. Yeah, a hundred percent. Yeah. Not saying yeah, you you know what it is. Yeah, exactly. Yes, indeed. Yeah, that's that's all you gotta say. That's all you need to say at this point. Have fun with that, a hundred percent. All right. ⁓ get Jacob Bunce: Yeah. ⁓ I will say, you know, our whole I mean the title of our show, it's it's fade or it's follow. And I really hope all of you out there didn't decide to fade your boy Grant and I because we went six for six or six and ⁓ if you include our our anytime touchdown scores. And, you know, can't start much better than that. So we're gonna kinda walk through some of those. Fade or Follow: Six and old. Six and old baby. Feel good. Jacob Bunce: You know our our our OU UTEP over fifty and a half smacked in the jaw. ⁓ which was phenomenal. Grant, any comments on that? LSU, I mean, I they dog walked ⁓ Fade or Follow: L L S no that s I wanna that w yeah, L the OU UTEP was a little bit it hit on fifty one, so if you bet it at fifty one and a half, you may have gotten a bad number there, but so I apologize if you got the got a bad number there. ⁓ but we we called it a fifty and a half, so it was good for us. LSU ten L S U minus ten and a half, easiest bet of all time. That game was over in twenty minutes, like Clemps Jacob Bunce: Yeah. And if I'm not mistaken, yeah, I mean you were you were definitely leaning LSU, but you were l a little hesitant at first, and then I had to kind of ground us a little. Fade or Follow: Yes, yes. I was definitely I yes, for sure. I you you had to steer me back yeah, I was I was on the rumble strips of the Clemson plus ten and a half side of this thing and you you steered us back onto the road on the straight and narrow there. That would have that would have been a disaster. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Yeah, but but right there on the other side too though, Notre Dame. Like I you know, I like Notre Dame. I thought they were gonna win this game and after you know, when they kinda started I was a little nervous, but I part of me wanted to take Wisconsin on the points and then you had to smack me in the face and say, you know, look, it's fucking Wisconsin, dude. And ⁓ so really glad that we're both here to to help each other not make stupid mistakes like that. Yeah. And ⁓ so it worked out pretty well. Fade or Follow: Yeah. Yeah. Good teamwork. Yes. Yeah. We are a team. Yes. FS and then we had a absolutely great start there. And then we had FSU plus three and a half. ⁓ we'll we gladly we glad we had the hook there because they won play lost by a field they lost by a field goal. And then ⁓ Calandria, easy peasy that hit regular time. Chris Henry Chris Henry was sweaty, and but I c I did say during the show Jacob Bunce: Big time. Chris Henry was a sweat because yeah. Fade or Follow: I said he's either gonna get reps or he's I said he's either gonna get single covered off of d Jeremiah Smith or in a blowout scenario, he's gonna get some reps, which is exactly what happened. They literally put him in the game just to get him a touchdown to make him feel good, and that's exactly what happened. So I I was sweaty. Yeah, he yeah. Yeah, he yes. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I mean he had some drops. He he had s you know, he c she should he should have scored. Well he had that one time where he should have scored, but it would have been called back anyway, but then he had another drop pass. Yeah. Fade or Follow: Yeah, but then he dropped one and then then he got the they get then he got the one at the end. So he had a several chances. He is more raw than I would have thought. I like the with the amount of like Jacob Bunce: Yeah. It doesn't surprise me. I I mean I I think I when we were texting I you know, Jeremiah Smith on his ⁓ opener game for Ohio State, he dropped a ball too. ⁓ I mean that's big expectations. It's a prime school, a lot of history. Yeah, it doesn't matter. Like he has a lot of expectation, being the number one receiving recruit of the country. ⁓ people are expecting a a a certain level from the sky and people are watching, so Fade or Follow: Mm-hmm. Yeah, for sure. He's yep even even if it's ball state, even if it is against ball state, you're still nervous. Yeah. Right. Yep, and the the the guys are following. Yeah, the So yeah. So you got Chris Ola Yeah, Chris and yeah, just look at who he's following. Chris Olave, JSN, Marvin Harrison Junior, Jeremiah Smith. Like the lineage of receivers. ⁓ Carnell Tate, top five pick. Can't miss it. Can't miss him. Like so all I'm say a boot a me yeah, exactly. Like the the like that that's that's off the top of our head. I'm sure we're missing a bunch more. Like the li the amount of wide receivers that he's following. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Like Puka. Fade or Follow: ⁓ and him having to him trying to fill those shoes is really tough. So I don't blame him for having been a little nervy in his first game, but ⁓ no. So yep, glad that got touched down. Jacob Bunce: I don't either. I don't either. I'm glad they did it. But, you know, and we'll talk and we'll kinda recap ⁓ week two as well, and then we'll talk about NFL and then we'll get into our Thursday night game and and and ⁓ you know all that stuff. But I think, you know, since we're on the topic of of college football, I mean let's just kinda dive into to week two. I mean, this is really when we had some of the better matchups, probably the most anticipated. ⁓ you know, well Fade or Follow: Yeah. ⁓ Jacob Bunce: Let's put let's put let's put Ohio State and Texas to the side real quick. I think one of the most talked about games after, you know, the Western Michigan, Michigan FNASC, where I guess, you know, now there's a secret clock and there's probably, you know, secret phones and secret calls being made and probably something that they shouldn't have told the public, to be honest with you, because those who have conspiracies against the NFL or the NCAA, like games are fixed, it's like it's feeding into that narrative. regardless though, ⁓ Fade or Follow: Yeah, I know for sure. People yeah. A hundred percent. Jacob Bunce: Michigan, Oklahoma, ⁓ hand up. Like I I thought they were gonna get waxed, and I think a lot of the country thought they were gonna get waxed, but Grant and I actually Yeah, and we teased the line. It was what, seven and a half or six and a half? We teased it down to two and a half, like just a field goal. And what's what's more frustrating about that game is let's be honest, Oklahoma was the more talented Fade or Follow: Yeah. I I I yeah. Yeah. Just if r rightly so. Yeah. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: team. They didn't really need to use Bryce Underwood. They were using his legs and John Mateer. Like, ⁓ my gosh. It was I was like, what am I watching? That's probably the worst game I've ever seen him play ever. Fade or Follow: Yeah. ⁓ my god, no. Yeah. No, for sure. No, literally, like going b even going back to Washington State, that was the worst football game. Even when he was hurt last year, he played better than that. I don't like even when he Jacob Bunce: He played way better. Like how many how many lambs did Whittingham have to sacrifice in Bryce Underwood to to have this devil magic happen? Fade or Follow: I don't know for sure. They th th for sure they burned an owl statue in Ann Arbor before this game, I swear to God. No Jacob Bunce: ⁓ my gosh. Yeah, it was it was frustr I mean and I you know, obviously being a Buckeye, you know, fan and I want I don't want Michigan to win. Yeah, but like at the same time I like I couldn't imagine being Oklahoma fan. Like I I don't know what was more frustrating. Like I just sit sitting there seeing ⁓ and then, you know, d y you you you fed confidence into into that fan base and everyone else and quite honestly it's like Fade or Follow: Michigan hat we're Michigan haters. Jacob Bunce: You can be a two loss team and make the playoffs. I don't know if Michigan is that facet. I don't believe they are. I think there's just way too many better teams out there still. but yeah, that was just a a snooze fest to me, honestly. A lot of penalties too. Fade or Follow: Yeah. That's a this Yeah, th this for sure. And this is an it's so weird. A lot of penalty. Yeah, this is the ⁓ yeah, a lot of we and both on both sides too. There were some weird penalties on Michigan too, to be fair. Like there was some so like th there was like mm hmm. And it's like the the thing it's so f ⁓ that's why Michigan's so frustrating. It's like even when they're not good, they just have these games they should get absolutely killed in and then they just win it outright. It like it doesn't I that's one of the reasons I Jacob Bunce: Very strange. Yeah, no, I agree. Bad calls on both sides. Fade or Follow: don't like Michigan ⁓ amongst others is just like they win games that they have no business winning and they just so yeah. So really we really ⁓ qu strange game. Strange. Yeah, strange game. Strange games. Less controversial. And this one they kind of just ⁓ OU just kinda got beat, but ⁓ John Mateir, like he was a Heisman candidate and he just shit down his leg, talk about shit down your leg, man. That guy. ⁓ my God. ⁓ other speaking of shitting down your leg, how about Jacob Bunce: Zero. And it happened week one and week two in such different fashions. And it's like Yeah. Fade or Follow: The Oregon Ducks. Jacob Bunce: I thought you were gonna go Ryan Day and and Ohio State. But yeah, yeah, Oregon. ⁓ my god. You know what's funny too? Because week one or week zero or whatever, like we yeah, week one, I did have a little side action on Oregon. ⁓ we have a little group chat and put some put some cheddar, sprinkled some cheddar on there. And ⁓ obviously that didn't hit. And then last week I almost did it. I almost did it again. I'm like, there's no way Fade or Follow: No, no, we haven't no right no we're or we're or teasing yeah, we're Yeah. Yeah, we week one. Yep. Jacob Bunce: that they are this bad. Like Dan Lanning is literally fighting for his job right now, in my opinion. Like I and I heard some people yeah, I heard a lot of people saying that he's fine. He shouldn't be worrying about his position. I'm like, I I don't know where what what you're looking at, what I'm looking at, and the expectations that Oregon has. I mean people are picking them to win the championship. They are they are they will be extremely lucky if they even make Fade or Follow: gonna get these guys for right. Without an absolutely loaded roster. Jacob Bunce: The playoff I mean, they have to win out basically at this point. Fade or Follow: Yep, for s yeah, I think they got they can lose maybe one Jacob Bunce: And they play they don't they play tough teams. I mean, they play Ohio State and that's probably gonna be a loss for them. And, you know, that puts them at two losses plus, you know, almost losing to Boise State for their season opener. It's like a committee looks at that and Fade or Follow: Yeah. No, you can lose they can lose one more game tight like they Jacob Bunce: And then if they if they don't get in Grant, is that is that how Michigan squeaks in because Dan Lanning sucks and Oregon could figure it out and it's like another devil magic Michigan thing to get them in? Fade or Follow: Yeah. Yeah. No, yeah, for sure. Yeah. No, for sure. Yeah, the Michigan yeah, Michigan would have to start playing ⁓ I still don't think Michigan's good. So no, I don't think they're gonna get the but ⁓ but yeah, I I 'cause yeah, who all like Washington so it's gonna be Indi I think Indiana it's I think Indi ⁓ the Big Ten has four slots, I th or three or four slots. So it's like Indiana and Ohio State, I think and Oregon I or s like Jacob Bunce: I don't think so either. Yeah. Fade or Follow: the basically Indiana and Ohio State I still think are getting in. Yeah, or Oregon would really like if they if they don't make the playoff, I would actually be shocked because they just like just on paper, they just have too much talent. And but if you're right, if they if they lose to Indiana and Ohio State ⁓ and a and are a three loss Big Ten team, yeah, I think they might get left out. That would be crazy. But yeah. But but then I think Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: Somewhat then another I think then a team in the Big Twelve or the ACC or an extra SEC team would get in. I don't think it would I don't I don't know if the Big Ten i if they just had a bunch of mediocrity in the middle, I don't think they'd force a tea like a four loss Michigan team in there or anything. But if Michigan's ten and two at the end of the year and they have a couple of they already have one top twenty five win under their belt, if they can get a one or two more along the way, then who the fuck knows? Yeah, you're but they have to win those games. I just don't think they will. So ⁓ but I the other the ⁓ my biggest my biggest thing more than Oregon just personally, I bet Oklahoma State over against Tulsa and they lost by ten points as a twenty point underdog and then they then they go out and look like the greatest show on turf against the top defense in the country. Like Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I agree. Fade or Follow: after I bet the week after I bet on them to score points. Like I'm like I'm like fu I'm like, fuck you guys. Like so per so but like that's a completely personal side of this. Because like I like, yeah, Drew Mestemaker, it came from you me and remember me and Benza were talking about that. Like like it was like, ⁓ yeah, UNT's gonna I mean Oklahoma State's gonna be so good on offense and they s shit the bed and then the week after, like I'm like dumb like God, dude fuck yourself. Like that's why that's why college football is the best and it's also the worst. So I don't know. ⁓ Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well and it's like if you if you if we bet thirteen games like we're gonna get screwed in probably at least thirty percent of Fade or Follow: Yeah, for sure. There's gonna be hor yeah, if we if we yeah, if we yeah, for sure. There we're just if you get have this much exposure to the board, yeah, you're gonna get screwed. ⁓ at some point. ⁓ okay. Then biggest game of the weekend without a doubt what was the Buckeyes and the Longhorns. So you can go ahead and you wanna give your you wanna mean us I'll you what, I'll go first. You you I'll I'll lead us off here. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. I'll say this, I feel like my algorithm has been every single press release from every angle of of of Ryan Day and, you know, Julian saying and then ⁓ you know, ever every everybody who has a podcast and anyone who's a sports handling. I mean, it's it is. I cannot wait for this weekend to come up and for us to just play games and then just move on. So, but go ahead. Fade or Follow: Trying to co just coping. Yeah. Yeah. No, this game was just the it was just it just felt like I felt like I was like watching a building collapse in slow motion. Like I was like like Ohio State's up twenty three to three in the fourth quarter. And I'm like, ⁓ cool, they built they won the game, they built the thing. Archmanning was like shit. The Archmanning slander campaign is about to commence. And then I just for the next hour I just watched the it go like this and then I'm like but then there was like a then they were kicking a field goal with like five or six minutes left and you're kinda like ⁓ Okay, cool. They all right cool. The building almost collapsed but they got it up at the end. And then ⁓ old boy shanks it and then it goes down and then like ⁓ then Arch drives him down the field and channels his uncles and wins the game but ⁓ my dude, this game was just unbelievable because it just felt like it was everything that could go wrong went wrong. Bad choices, bad performance, ⁓ bad a bad execution. It was just all of it. So, ⁓ did have Jeremiah Smith any time touchdown, so that felt good, but just overall, man, like this game just felt like a des it was just like watching a car cr it's like a dis it's like a car crash in slow motion. But I know you've got a lot more to go into on this, so I'll I'll leave it up. I'll leave the rest to you. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Well, you know, and Grant was nice enough to say or not say he had Ohio State plus one and a half. So, you know, he actually made out and even if I had it plus one and a half 'cause I had Smith too, but like I i it wouldn't have made me really feel any better, to be honest with you. ⁓ but I agree, I I I was watching. Fade or Follow: Yeah, yeah. Right. That's what I'm saying. It's like like I literally I like it was like it was it was like fifty bucks and I was like I like I was like fifty bucks. I I wasn't that happy about it. But I was like it it it was just like I've I felt so bad for you and I for me to exact I'm becoming like a fan. I don't have the same like depth of emotional connection that you do, but it's like I'm become like I'm like invested at this point, like at a certain level emotionally as far as fine and and financially. So I I got my financial win, I guess, but like Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: I still sell my goddamn that fucking suck. 'Cause I like rooting for ⁓ I'm like, How is this happening? Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I mean they've lost their last three other four games. ⁓ which when you say out loud is unbelievable. ⁓ and I was funny enough, I was at a wedding. I was standing in a wedding, it was my cousin's wedding, so like, you know, I nothing you can do about it. So we are watching the game on our phones and getting updates, so everyone and most of the people there were Buckeye fans. And everyone's having a good time. We're celebrating and then the second we I get in the car to go home, I Fade or Follow: Yeah, no, that's a crazy stat. Jacob Bunce: Father in law's drive, or excuse me, right, stepdad's driving, and I turn the game on and then like you said, the the building falling down and slow motion starts to commence. And right when Texas scored that first touchdown in the fourth quarter, I had this weird like I c I felt like I felt it deep down. I'm like, I have seen this before. We are going to lose this game. Fade or Follow: Mm-hmm. Yes. Jacob Bunce: But I kinda tried to block it out as much as I can. And you know, here's here here's what it really comes down to because I feel like everybody wants to say, ⁓ it was it was, you know, Julian Sand for missing a pass, you know, or or Jeremiah Smith for not catching that ball, or Hawking for for not, you know, making that that forty five year old forty five yard field goal. ⁓ or Hawkins, sorry, you know, but I think ⁓ I felt like it's just deja vu because every time in these big moments it comes down to a couple decisions. Put the field goal aside. Because yes, should you make a forty-five yarder and not hook left like we're playing Georgia to go to the championship game in twenty twenty two? Like that was like I literally I was like it is it was the same hook left. So I was like I was like, put that aside, whatever. ⁓ put aside that, you know, again, Sand missed that wide open touchdown pass. Like, yes, you need to make those throws, but Fade or Follow: Yeah. It's the same fucking thing. Jacob Bunce: Again, I d I don't think that is what truly lost us the game. You can point to Jeremiah Smith again that missed catch. ⁓ it was a bad throw, but that's a catch that he makes and we expect him to make. ⁓ what it came down to, in my opinion, was was a couple of things. One, you know, Ryan Day takes his foot off the gas and and kind of tells his his staff to take their foot off the gas. ⁓ fourth and what, three on Texas's 39 yard line and you punt the ball and you try to pin them. And it was a horrible punt anyway. They got them to the 17 yard line or something like that. So that was horrible. ⁓ it's a minute and 30 seconds left on the one yard line. And you now decide to let your your defense try and get a goal line stop because you think this is last year or the year before or the year before when that's what Ohio State was known for. And after you just got worked for an entire quarter, they were gassed. You had a timeout. Fade or Follow: Yeah. In Texas territory, yeah. Jacob Bunce: You have Julian Saiyan, you have the number one college football player in the country, and you didn't trust your guys to get down there and either score a touchdown or a field goal with a minute twenty, maybe a minute fifteen left. Like I that tells me more than than than everything else. ⁓ and for the plays that he did decide to go for, it w it was it was the third and four before they kicked the field goal and missed. They threw that that that corner route to Smith in the end zone. And it was like that was not the time to get aggressive. That was not the time to g to throw a bomb low and pray to God that Jeremiah Smith can can catch the ball. This is ⁓ if you want to maybe get some yards to make the kick a little easier, run the ball, or, you know, hey, this is fourth down territory, fine. But I don't it like and I heard a couple of people, and the reason why I brought that up is because some people like, well, he was aggressive, he made that throw. And it's like, Well, the decision at the it just wasn't good. So Fade or Follow: Mm-hmm. Right, yeah, they threw a bomb. I was like mm hmm. Yeah. Follow. Yeah, remember and if I if I like that throwing the n remember the throwing the natty that Will Howard ha and like that's what and that and it worked and they got down there and they finished it. Like that felt like he was trying to like do that again and it just didn't work at all. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, yeah. Jacob Bunce: You know, I h Yeah. At least he was wide open there where like Smith wa I mean, he literally had to dive and basically fall to the ground and and try to catch that ball. Yeah, which it was close, but like, you know, I I don't know. So anyway, it was very, very frustrating because they were clearly the better team. Yes, there was some bad, bad breaks for Texas. I mean, I'm not gonna call the first play of the game a bad break, like ball security. Like we got a fumble, great. Fade or Follow: He like he dove into the yeah, you he dove into the pylon and I'm like, Yeah, that didn't Yeah. Just follow we've watched that game four times. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: But that that that pick where it was a catch and bounced into our our corn you know, like that Yeah. So like, you know, I Fade or Follow: ⁓ yeah. ⁓ yeah. That that that was that was one of the crazier picks I've ever seen, to be honest. Like he was literally like he was literally on his back. The ball bounces off his chest like eight feet in the air and lands right in and the thing is that corner, he was cooked on that play. So the fact that he ran away with a p Yeah. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. So I get it. Yeah, like I understand people saying that, but like take those things away. Like Arch Manning did not play good. And he was frantic and yeah, he had one good quarter. And even even in that one good quarter, Ohio State's defense looked just all over the place. They looked gassed. And I just you had a you had two opportunities on fourth down to stop him too. Outside of the two bad play calls by Ryan Day, like Fade or Follow: Yeah. No, he did not. Twenty th he had one good quarter. He's l he was literally Eli Manning. Mm-hmm. Jacob Bunce: The defense really let us down. And and it just it is what it is. And we have guys that are younger and deserve to get more spotlight. And we are just keeping our veterans in, and understand, but like if it's not working, change the game plan, call a timeout, s make some substitutions. So I don't know. It was frustrating because now we have to listen about Arch Manning again, you know, ⁓ he he channeled his brother or his uncle's You know, Manning, bullshit, blah blah blah. It's like okay, like congratulations. We handed the game to you. ⁓ you won, we didn't. I c there's not a lot more I can say. ⁓ but it just is is frustrating to see this happen time and time and time again. And I don't know Fade or Follow: Yeah, no the yeah, th that's the thing is like losing a losing a losing a week two game to Texas isn't the most serious thing. Like we were we fell to six, like it like it it yeah, no exactly. Like that's the thing is like if this didn't happen against Indiana, if this didn't happen against Michigan a couple of years ago and we had no business losing, if we this didn't happen to Miami in the playoff last ⁓ they kinda they kinda whatever. All I'm saying is the like l all I'm saying lo all I'm saying is losing these games tight. Jacob Bunce: No, it's just how it happened. In Indiana was the same thing, yeah. Fade or Follow: Like missing kicks, giving away games that you have no business losing has become such like a Ryan Day thing. That's why it's so frustrating. If if if this was the first time this happened, if this was not if this was like the first game we saw them lose this way, it would be I'd be like, ⁓ like that suc like that sucks. Yeah, like yeah, it'd be like this Yeah. Yeah, exactly. But this is like the f like Jacob Bunce: To yeah. Like, yeah, I'd like, Well, you know what? It happens. Yeah. Yeah. Like some bad play calls, but we'll bounce back. But like Indiana and and Michigan when when Michigan was horrible and we lost and it's like, let's just keep running down the middle. Let's keep running the middle. And Indiana's Yeah, and then Indiana, like, you know, you're in the Renzo red zone, what, three or four times and you can't get away with any points because you don't know how to to call a play anymore and you just, you know, get all crabobbled. Fade or Follow: Yeah, we're gonna prove that we're tougher than them. Yeah, exactly. Yep, can't gonna want not as crazy. Jacob Bunce: So anyway, I don't wanna talk anymore about it. It's like one of those things where we're fine. Yes, we have a tough schedule. You know, I th I'm looking at USC, I'm looking at Indiana, I'm looking at Oregon. I'm you know, right now, yeah, I'm not concerned about Oregon. I'm not really con too concerned right now about USC. ⁓ and to be honest with you, I Indiana they look good, but again, I still ⁓ I gotta see them play. I gotta see them play. Fade or Follow: Yeah. I think you're still you're still fine. You can be a nick. Yeah, we gotta be we gotta win two of those. Gotta win two of those. Indiana's Ind Indiana's look Indians look they're looking good. I don't I'm not scared of ⁓ Yeah. Someone yeah, yeah. ⁓ Right. I'm not And Josh Hoover's and Josh Josh Hoover has not played a even a third quarter. This like he's he has been he he's been yeah, they've been crushing bad teams, so it's like but yeah, like exactly, exactly. Exactly. So good Jacob Bunce: some some some competition first before I really give an accurate assessment. But you have Kurt Signetti, so I'm not gonna just push him over to the side. Right, which which again, it's like I I Which is what you need to see, you know. So but again, like that that going back to the big ten championship, it's like that was a game that we handed over. So whatever. Like we'll see we'll see what it is. And i if we lose against them and we l we have two losses, we're still making the playoffs. So it's like that is what we have to remember short term. So Fade or Follow: Yeah, exactly. Yep. If you just win and and honestly, yep. Yeah, you knew it was a tough schedule. You knew you were gonna probably get at least one loss and this was a loss that you probably shouldn't have even taken. So you'll like remember like we lost that Mich we talked about that Michigan game. They went on to win the Natty after that. So granted this wasn't as a gr th this w Jacob Bunce: Yeah, and and funny enough, they they lost to Oregon by a point that year too. So Fade or Follow: Yeah. Yeah. This wasn't this wasn't as egregious of a loss as that Michigan game 'cause Texas is obviously another top five team. But ⁓ I all I'm saying is OSU knows how to bounce back from a loss. So that's good. ⁓ okay. So moving on to so pol again, sorry we didn't get any cont out content out for ⁓ la last week, but Jacob Bunce: Grant, do we wanna because I know you I know we ⁓ Fade or Follow: Yeah. Yes. Jacob Bunce: like edit these. I was like, do we want to like stop and like start like a new show technically? Fade or Follow: Yes. Yeah, because we're at twenty six. Yes, I was just gonna say that because if we do this, ⁓ if we keep going on the same episode, we're gonna run like a long time. So yeah, we can stop here. This will be the recap and then we can keep going. Okay.
