- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:12Speaker 2: This week on Yo Gabble Gabble, your senior women's church
- 0:14Speaker 2: group hires a stripper Santa for the Christmas market by mistake.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Do you have to pay him?
- 0:20Speaker 3: Judge Ross, tell me what he's going to do with
- 0:22Speaker 3: those britches.
- 0:23Speaker 2: And hoes, hoes, hoes. Any of our fake relationships just
- 0:26Speaker 2: for Hallmark Smiths movies? Judge Lori Lake tells us real people,
- 0:29Speaker 2: real cases, fake justice. This is Yo Gabble Gabble. Oh
- 0:49Speaker 2: my goodness. All right.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Oh, sit down.
- 0:54Speaker 2: It's a dream come true for all involved. A dream
- 0:58Speaker 2: come true for the audience. A dream come true for
- 0:59Speaker 2: our hall star.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Marcus Rosner said he only came back and he could
- 1:03Speaker 2: do your gavel gavel once again. Not true.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Do you remember, do you remember, uh, Do you remember
- 1:08Speaker 5: the cases from last year?
- 1:09Speaker 2: I remember them very well.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:11Speaker 5: Give us a quick synopsis of what you experienced last year.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Okay, so there was a case. Actually, I've looked this
- 1:19Speaker 4: up since.
- 1:20Speaker 6: Last year because I had to show my wife when
- 1:22Speaker 6: I got home that this was.
- 1:24Speaker 4: A real thing. A man smacked another man.
- 1:29Speaker 2: With a bag of chicken.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Or over a bag of chicken?
- 1:32Speaker 3: He hit me with the chicken judge, I believe, yes.
- 1:34Speaker 6: So these are real cases that have been presented on
- 1:38Speaker 6: a TV court situation.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Do you have TV courtroom shows up in Canada?
- 1:42Speaker 6: We do, but we have a lot more self-respect as
- 1:44Speaker 6: well because we don't watch them.
- 1:45Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:47Speaker 2: The other problem is a lot of that free healthcare
- 1:49Speaker 2: takes care of a lot of the arguments.
- 1:51Speaker 4: We don't need to argue about that crap.
- 1:53Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Hey, Brandon, these wigs are hot as hell.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's very hot. It's very hot up here.
- 1:59Speaker 3: A quick note from me to you. I thought we
- 2:01Speaker 3: had the AC taken care of.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I'm dying.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Well, we'll be okay. You want to go first? I
- 2:06Speaker 2: would love to go first. Oh, really quick. Here's what
- 2:07Speaker 2: we're going to do.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah, here's what we're going to do, Britt, so you
- 2:09Speaker 3: know what we're going to do.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Dan is going to tell all of us A case.
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's right. You can ask questions.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yep.
- 2:15Speaker 5: At the end of it, you're going to have to
- 2:16Speaker 5: try to guess what the verdict is. And then I'm
- 2:19Speaker 5: going to do the exact same thing, but different.
- 2:23Speaker 2: But different. That's right. Okay. And you can speak as
- 2:27Speaker 2: little or as much as you want to speak. It's just,
- 2:29Speaker 2: it's up to you. And we also have Yoga Gabble
- 2:32Speaker 2: Gabble super fan, Scotty Newman with us.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Scotty.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Right there.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Yep.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Scotty, how excited are you to be on stage?
- 2:40Speaker 4: This is so exciting.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so excited we didn't give you your own mic.
- 2:45Speaker 3: That's how excited I was.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Scotty's dream is to do a special Christmas case of
- 2:50Speaker 5: Yo Gavel Gavel, and it looks like you're.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Stealing a stunder a little bit. And it's weird that
- 2:53Speaker 2: I brought a Christmas case this week and did not invite.
- 2:55Speaker 4: I'm very disappointed.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I'm really sorry about that. I'm going to kick us
- 2:58Speaker 2: off with a little Judge Kevin Ross, everybody. I don't
- 3:01Speaker 2: know if you're familiar with one Kevin Ross, but justice
- 3:04Speaker 2: to Kevin Ross is not a foreign concept.
- 3:08Speaker 3: That's exactly right.
- 3:10Speaker 2: What is it? Bristow just realized she was at an
- 3:13Speaker 2: effing cult meeting.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It just happened.
- 3:16Speaker 2: But you know what? Here's the last thing I heard, Dan.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Correct me if I'm wrong, but he doesn't want you
- 3:22Speaker 2: to understand it. He wants you to overstand it.
- 3:27Speaker 3: That's exactly right. Britt, any comments? Are you out of here?
- 3:30Speaker 2: Overstand, not understand. Very good.
- 3:32Speaker 3: It means absolutely nothing.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Chris Bridger is suing Mary Lou Weber for $ 400 due
- 3:40Speaker 2: to non-payment for services rendered. Get your minds out of
- 3:43Speaker 2: the gutter. Chris is a small, scrawny old man who says,
- 3:51Speaker 2: I received a call from my advertisement, which that's how
- 3:54Speaker 2: you know he's old.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Advertisement. Advertisement.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Elizabeth, does that track? Yeah. Oh, my God.
- 4:02Speaker 3: We didn't even.
- 4:03Speaker 2: She's old. I didn't know it.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Just catching strays for no reason at all.
- 4:12Speaker 2: All right. Order.
- 4:14Speaker 8: Order. Calm it down.
- 4:17Speaker 3: There we go.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Basically, he said, this woman called me, and I've been
- 4:22Speaker 2: a professional dancing Santa for 14 years. Judge Ross says,
- 4:28Speaker 2: are there a lot of other dancing Santas out there?
- 4:31Speaker 2: Chris says, not really. I've sort of cornered the market.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I'm the go-to guy. More on that later. Judge Ross says,
- 4:40Speaker 3: what caused you.
- 4:41Speaker 2: To want to be a dancing Santa? Mary Lou, what
- 4:44Speaker 2: caused you to? Are you okay? I'm fine. It's just
- 4:46Speaker 2: my phone. I'll need it for later, but not right now.
- 4:49Speaker 3: You're good. You're good. You're good.
- 4:51Speaker 2: What caused you to want a dancing Santa at your party?
- 4:54Speaker 2: And Mary Lou, a wonderful matronly elderly woman of a church, says,
- 4:59Speaker 2: Your Honor, if I may, my husband's the pastor of
- 5:01Speaker 2: the church.
- 5:02Speaker 3: And Ross goes, okay, so?
- 5:03Speaker 2: And she says, every year we put on a party
- 5:05Speaker 2: for the senior ladies of the church. And then the
- 5:09Speaker 2: men go and do something else. And it's a fun
- 5:11Speaker 2: tradition we have. And I envisioned that part of our
- 5:14Speaker 2: Christmas celebration is we would have a Santa come and
- 5:17Speaker 2: sing a few carols, read a story that we had
- 5:20Speaker 2: picked out. And I saw his ad and was like,
- 5:24Speaker 2: this is the guy. And he said he would provide
- 5:26Speaker 2: his own music. And everything seemed.
- 5:29Speaker 3: On the up and up.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I got to be honest, I don't know how this
- 5:32Speaker 2: could go wrong.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I think everything.
- 5:34Speaker 2: So far, so good. Everything's tracking here. There's no way
- 5:36Speaker 2: this is going to take a left turn.
- 5:37Speaker 3: We also hired a guy.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Dancing Santa this week. So I hope everything's going to
- 5:40Speaker 2: turn out good. Fingers crossed.
- 5:41Speaker 3: If it's this guy, we're firing him.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So Chris says, what's that?
- 5:46Speaker 7: I said, you'll sue him for $ 400.
- 5:48Speaker 2: That's right. He actually is trying to get the $ 400.
- 5:53Speaker 2: He said, I came to the party. I showed up
- 5:55Speaker 2: on time and I came in with my Christmas music playing.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Ross says, so you did everything she asked you to provide.
- 6:00Speaker 2: He says, yes. But then she asked me if I'd
- 6:02Speaker 2: read this book, which is out of the ordinary for
- 6:04Speaker 2: what I do.
- 6:05Speaker 3: More on that later.
- 6:06Speaker 2: But I was trying to accommodate my clients, so I
- 6:08Speaker 2: read the book. Ross says, what was the book? Mary
- 6:11Speaker 2: Lou says, it was called A Christmas Angel.
- 6:14Speaker 3: How sweet.
- 6:15Speaker 2: It's very spiritual, Your Honor. It talks about the birth
- 6:17Speaker 2: of Jesus. It's so great. Chris says, and then she
- 6:22Speaker 2: asked me to sing along to some Christmas carols of
- 6:23Speaker 2: their choosing, which I did. Then they asked me if
- 6:26Speaker 2: I would tell some jokes, which I don't know if
- 6:29Speaker 2: you bring Santa in for a type five. Let's see
- 6:32Speaker 2: what he has.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Let's see what he has.
- 6:33Speaker 2: That's fair.
- 6:34Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 6:34Speaker 2: And he's like, I did the jokes because they're actually
- 6:37Speaker 2: a part of my routine. And he's like, so you're
- 6:39Speaker 2: in your wheelhouse. And Mary Lou's like, that's when it
- 6:41Speaker 2: went awry. Sister Coralie liked to have passed out. Chris says,
- 6:47Speaker 2: your honor, I'm an adult entertainer.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Oh.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Judge Ross said, did you make that clear? He said,
- 6:55Speaker 2: your honor, it's very clear in my advertisement. It's plastered
- 7:00Speaker 2: all over my website. Mary Lou says, I didn't see
- 7:03Speaker 2: the website. I got the ad here in the newspaper.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Chris says, that's a 10-year-old ad from the Yellow Pages.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 7:16Speaker 3: The Yellow Pages. You guys remember? Eight track tapes.
- 7:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Yellow Pages. Elizabeth, you got it, right? The bailiff reads
- 7:26Speaker 2: the ad in the Yellow Pages out loud. I don't
- 7:28Speaker 2: know if you remember these things, but you had a
- 7:29Speaker 2: word count. Dancing Santa Claus for adults. Great for parties
- 7:34Speaker 2: and adult gatherings. Call and book now. Ross says, ma'am,
- 7:40Speaker 2: it says adults twice in that ad. Mary Lou says, yes,
- 7:44Speaker 2: your honor, but I read it as like not a
- 7:45Speaker 2: kiddie Santa. Like we wanted a Santa as part of
- 7:49Speaker 2: our get together, but not like kids sitting on his
- 7:51Speaker 2: lap and asking for toys just to be there. That's
- 7:54Speaker 2: what an adult Santa is.
- 7:56Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 4: I get it.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Listen, sometimes you just want to sit on Santa's lap
- 8:04Speaker 5: as an adult and not get judged.
- 8:06Speaker 3: And say, do you have like a tight 10 on airports?
- 8:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 3: You have 10 on airports. You could give me like,
- 8:12Speaker 3: what's the deal with the peanuts?
- 8:13Speaker 2: That's right. Do that.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Great, perfect. Ross says, I don't know how old you are, Ms.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Weber, and I will not ask, but if you're a
- 8:21Speaker 2: grandmother and a pastor's wife, something tells me that you
- 8:25Speaker 2: would not be that oblivious to the term, this is
- 8:29Speaker 2: for adults at an adult gathering.
- 8:32Speaker 3: It's implied in the language.
- 8:33Speaker 2: She said, he should have a responsibility to let people
- 8:36Speaker 2: know exactly what's gonna take place when he shows up,
- 8:38Speaker 2: making sure they're not offended, making sure we understand. And
- 8:41Speaker 2: I brought a video to show that it was not appropriate.
- 8:47Speaker 2: This video is embarrassing for everyone. He's, like, a really
- 8:52Speaker 2: skinny Santa, and he's, like, swirling his hips.
- 8:57Speaker 3: You get up, Brandon. When I say you do.
- 8:59Speaker 2: He's swirling his hips.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Roughly what age is he?
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah. He's taking his Santa hat off, and he's, like,
- 9:06Speaker 2: twirling it around. And then he starts to slip his
- 9:09Speaker 2: Santa belt off, you know?
- 9:10Speaker 1: Like....
- 9:13Speaker 2: Like halfway to his knees, and he pulls it back
- 9:15Speaker 2: up all scandalous-like. And then he goes down to his calf,
- 9:19Speaker 2: and then he's like, one more time for the ladies.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And then he goes all the way up, and then
- 9:23Speaker 2: Ross is like, I've seen enough. That's good. I've seen enough.
- 9:27Speaker 2: You know what? Marcus was right here, and you could
- 9:30Speaker 2: have asked him to do that. Yeah. But you asked me,
- 9:33Speaker 2: and I appreciate that. There was a lot that we
- 9:35Speaker 2: could have gained from Marcus doing that, but I went
- 9:37Speaker 2: with you. I thought maybe you'd take the wig off,
- 9:38Speaker 2: but it turns out that's real hair. We can't take
- 9:40Speaker 2: these off.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Yeah, because we have to burn to the ground.
- 9:43Speaker 2: That's right. So Ross says, I can't do this anymore.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Chris is like, yes, Your Honor, this is my normal routine.
- 9:51Speaker 2: And I packed the houses with this routine. Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I don't know how he packs houses. That's either here
- 9:56Speaker 3: or there.
- 9:57Speaker 2: And he said, man, I didn't see.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Ross goes, why?
- 10:00Speaker 2: See the person that was recording. Stop recording. Uh, and
- 10:04Speaker 2: he says, your honor, this is all on my website.
- 10:06Speaker 2: If you go to my website, you'll see all of this.
- 10:08Speaker 2: You'll see that it's a, it's exotic dancing. You'll see
- 10:12Speaker 2: this like a version of this routine. I had no
- 10:15Speaker 2: idea she was looking at an ad from the yellow pages.
- 10:17Speaker 2: There's no way I could have known this. Ross says,
- 10:19Speaker 2: how did you see the ad? Mary Lou says, the
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yellow Pages is what we use in my house. So, like,
- 10:25Speaker 2: try to then imagine how old this woman is and
- 10:28Speaker 2: the other women that are there with her at the
- 10:30Speaker 2: time of this stripper Santa starting his routine.
- 10:33Speaker 3: It's hilarious.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Ross goes, do they even still make the yellow pages? Ma'am,
- 10:40Speaker 2: have you ever, like, gone to the website? She's like,
- 10:43Speaker 2: I didn't know the website existed. Robert and I, at
- 10:45Speaker 2: our house, use the yellow pages. Says, you're suing for $ 400.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Chris says, yes, Your Honor, I have the invoice. She
- 10:51Speaker 2: just never paid me. He's like, you don't get paid
- 10:53Speaker 2: ahead of time for stripping as a Santa? He says, no,
- 10:57Speaker 2: sometimes they ask for extras.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Like milk and cookies?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that's how you get it.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:06Speaker 3: See, you're, yeah.
- 11:07Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, okay.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Some more stockings to stuff.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know.
- 11:15Speaker 3: It's a family show. I don't know what you want
- 11:17Speaker 3: from me. We got people.
- 11:22Speaker 5: You want to put the hat on and jingle bells.
- 11:26Speaker 2: That's right.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Reach right into Santa's sack.
- 11:29Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Yeah, you got it. If
- 11:31Speaker 2: there's any virtual watchers with kids out there. Merry Christmas.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And to my mom and dad. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Your mom and dad in person. My mom and dad watching.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Love you. So he's like, you didn't get a deposit
- 11:46Speaker 2: or anything? He's like, I've never had an issue. That's
- 11:47Speaker 2: how good I am. I've cornered the market. on skinny
- 11:50Speaker 2: Santa stripping, which I guess that is a market. Ross says,
- 11:55Speaker 2: here's what I find interesting. On your invoice, you call
- 11:59Speaker 2: your business the Male Exotic Dancing Service, but in your ad,
- 12:04Speaker 2: you don't mention that. Uh-oh. I know, I know.
- 12:09Speaker 3: You're all playing along.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Chris says, Your Honor, 10 years ago in a Yellow
- 12:15Speaker 2: Page ad, I just was limited on words. I said,
- 12:18Speaker 2: dancing Santa for adults. I thought that was enough. It's
- 12:21Speaker 2: the Yellow Pages. It says for adults. Ross says, how
- 12:25Speaker 2: long were you there for? And he says, I was
- 12:27Speaker 2: there for two hours. And Ross says, when did the
- 12:31Speaker 2: stripping start? Mary Lou says, right in the middle, right
- 12:34Speaker 2: after you read the book, about an hour in. He
- 12:37Speaker 2: had been there over an hour. Before he started stripping,
- 12:42Speaker 2: which means he did a lot of work rostering.
- 12:44Speaker 3: You okay, buddy?
- 12:45Speaker 2: Is that normal for him on these gigs?
- 12:48Speaker 3: He has to build up.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He does do a build up.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah, the foreplay is important, Brandon.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 4: This poor man. This poor man.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 4: She is so wrong. I don't know what the verdict is,
- 12:59Speaker 4: but I know who I'm on which side of it.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Have you seen the burbs with Tom Hanks?
- 13:04Speaker 4: No.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Oh, I hate that, that I even brought it up.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Now I just look like it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 3: We got a thumbs up.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I see that hand. If you prayed that prayer, uh, anyway,
- 13:12Speaker 2: he looks like a guy in that movie.
- 13:13Speaker 3: It doesn't matter.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 13:13Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 13:14Speaker 2: We'll do it when we do it live.
- 13:16Speaker 3: It'll be fine.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Um, okay. So, uh, he, she's, uh, Ross says he'd
- 13:21Speaker 2: been there over an hour. It's a $ 200 an hour rate.
- 13:23Speaker 2: She thought she was paying $ 200 an hour for a
- 13:26Speaker 2: Santa to come and read a book. Fantastic, fantastic. She said, yeah,
- 13:32Speaker 2: but I didn't pay him at all because I least
- 13:34Speaker 2: thought he would have said to have like some ones
- 13:38Speaker 2: ready or something for him, for us to give us
- 13:42Speaker 2: that might be the clue. And Ross cuts her off
- 13:45Speaker 2: and he goes, have some ones?
- 13:47Speaker 3: What does that mean? Wait for it.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Remember, justice is not a foreign concept.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Wait for it.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Miss Mary Lou, Miss Sweet Old Mary Lou with her
- 13:56Speaker 2: children and grandchildren says, you know, some ones to give
- 13:59Speaker 2: him if he was gonna be stripping.
- 14:02Speaker 3: And Ross goes, how do you know about ones and stripping?
- 14:06Speaker 2: Don't you use the yellow.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Pages in your house?
- 14:09Speaker 2: You're a pastor's wife. You told me you didn't know
- 14:12Speaker 2: about a website. You know to give him ones while
- 14:14Speaker 2: he's stripping?
- 14:16Speaker 4: Really?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Mary Lou said, that's what Sister Cora Lee told me.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Cora Lee? Mary Lou just pulled out of the bag
- 14:27Speaker 2: of tricks of Shaggy, wasn't me.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Did we get to meet Cora Lee?
- 14:30Speaker 5: With everything I know about Cora Lee, that tracks, my friend.
- 14:34Speaker 2: She's crazy. But she's also the one that liked to
- 14:37Speaker 2: have passed out earlier. So she was so offended. And
- 14:40Speaker 2: then she was like, dude, do we have any wands? Yeah. Well,
- 14:43Speaker 2: you don't want to be rude. Quite a pendulum to
- 14:46Speaker 2: swing there. Why not pay him for the time he
- 14:49Speaker 2: was there? Doing the things you asked him to do.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Reading the story. Singing the song. Showing up on time.
- 14:53Speaker 2: No deposit. Why not pay him the $ 200 where he
- 14:57Speaker 2: did the hour of work that you wanted him to do?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Mary Lou says, Your Honor, I didn't see it in
- 15:03Speaker 2: the scope of work. You need to list what you're due.
- 15:06Speaker 2: He and I did not agree. to what he did
- 15:09Speaker 2: for my church group. Judge Ross is ready to run. Wow,
- 15:13Speaker 2: that's tough. Who do you want to go first? We're
- 15:15Speaker 2: going to start with Scotty down here.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Scotty, give me some thoughts.
- 15:18Speaker 1: There wasn't a single phone call? She had to call him, right?
- 15:22Speaker 3: Nah, bro. Nah.
- 15:24Speaker 2: She had to call the book, right? Oh, my bad.
- 15:28Speaker 3: She called the book.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I don't know about it.
- 15:29Speaker 2: She said yellow pages.
- 15:31Speaker 3: She had to make a phone call.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 15:34Speaker 3: They didn't talk about the phone call at all.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Nothing about I'm going to take my clothes off. What
- 15:38Speaker 1: is he supposed to do?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Be like, Santa's taking his clothes off service.
- 15:41Speaker 4: How old do you think he was?
- 15:44Speaker 2: They are both I mean, I hate to do this,
- 15:48Speaker 2: but they're both probably he's probably close to 70 and
- 15:51Speaker 2: she's probably 75.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Or 80.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Who wants to see a 70-year-old naked Santa?
- 15:57Speaker 3: I mean, let me hear you say yeah.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Besides Holly.
- 16:01Speaker 4: It's all relative, though, isn't it? Like, if she... Yeah, hey.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I'm not judging.
- 16:06Speaker 2: We don't kink shame around here, Scott. You told me
- 16:09Speaker 2: you like to just down dime a tap as you
- 16:12Speaker 2: walk through the Smithsonian.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yeah, don't yuck my yuck. We're talking about Holly here.
- 16:15Speaker 2: That's true. That's true.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Disguised four time attempts deep over there.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Like, this is a good time.
- 16:22Speaker 3: I haven't coughed in ages.
- 16:24Speaker 1: What?
- 16:24Speaker 6: I was just saying, I think there's an important distinction
- 16:27Speaker 6: that we just pointed out here, though. She was about
- 16:28Speaker 6: 75 and he was about 70, so he's a little
- 16:31Speaker 6: younger than her?
- 16:31Speaker 3: Probably is a little younger.
- 16:32Speaker 6: That's significant in my mind, given the dynamics we're playing
- 16:37Speaker 6: with here. Because I was picturing like an 80-year-old Santa
- 16:40Speaker 6: and like a 55-year-old woman.
- 16:42Speaker 2: It's tough to tell how old they are, but they
- 16:44Speaker 2: are both well over 55. They're definitely over 55. I
- 16:49Speaker 2: know how I'm rolling.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:51Speaker 1: The thing is, $ 200 an hour for a Santa, I've
- 16:54Speaker 1: actually been to Santa training.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 16:57Speaker 1: That's awfully high for a Santa. Oh, wait.
- 16:59Speaker 2: That's why they were offering me 20 bucks. I told
- 17:03Speaker 2: Santa training.
- 17:03Speaker 7: How much do you charge?
- 17:05Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 1: My service, manwiththebag.com. Yeah.
- 17:08Speaker 4: No.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Scotty.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'll do it for a cool 40 bucks.
- 17:13Speaker 3: That's right.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Scotty's diamond tap shakes bring all the boys to the yard.
- 17:17Speaker 1: That's right.
- 17:18Speaker 2: That's right.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Britt, what do you think?
- 17:22Speaker 2: Britt?
- 17:23Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm just going to go right on ahead and
- 17:28Speaker 7: say that Santa should get paid.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 3: You know, Santa works hard. Santa works hard.
- 17:33Speaker 7: And if he was there for an hour, but then
- 17:37Speaker 7: if he was there for an hour working, 200 bucks, yes.
- 17:41Speaker 1: But if he started.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Stripping after an hour, he was stripping for an hour?
- 17:47Speaker 3: He didn't finish.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Or everyone was just.
- 17:48Speaker 7: Offended, passing out, and confused, and telling him to.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Stop for an hour?
- 17:55Speaker 4: How long did the whole thing go on for?
- 17:57Speaker 2: It was supposed to be a two-hour performance, but after
- 18:00Speaker 2: he started stripping over an hour in... So he read
- 18:03Speaker 2: for an hour. He sang carols, read... I had a
- 18:09Speaker 2: type five on airports and then he, he started stripping
- 18:13Speaker 2: and Mary Lou didn't have any ones and was like,
- 18:14Speaker 2: we got.
- 18:15Speaker 1: To shut it down. I'm not a stripper anymore, but
- 18:20Speaker 1: I feel like if I was in a church, but
- 18:23Speaker 1: that's the rub right there. Maybe they're not looking for
- 18:27Speaker 1: what I'm going to put down here.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Hour of reading.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I don't know that.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 18:32Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 18:32Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Type five.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:34Speaker 6: Um, How long did the stripping go on for?
- 18:36Speaker 2: The stripping went on, according to Mary Lou, for under
- 18:39Speaker 2: one song. So, minutes.
- 18:40Speaker 4: That's pretty quick, yeah.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Well, what was the song?
- 18:43Speaker 1: I don't know. American Pie.
- 18:45Speaker 3: What do you want from me?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Total Eclipse of the Heart.
- 18:47Speaker 3: It was a ballad.
- 18:49Speaker 7: Also, based on Bran's remarkable stripping, I do also feel,
- 18:55Speaker 7: you know, there would have been time to say, hey,
- 18:59Speaker 7: maybe don't pull your pants down a third time.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. It was just the belt.
- 19:05Speaker 3: It was that big black belt he was slipping down
- 19:07Speaker 3: and back up.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Still.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Yeah, fair.
- 19:08Speaker 4: No, you're right.
- 19:09Speaker 2: That's a charm, my guy. You're going to see it.
- 19:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Scotty, before you go, Marcus, did you have a verdict
- 19:15Speaker 3: or you want to wait?
- 19:15Speaker 1: No, I'm going to say that Santa should get paid.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Santa should get paid.
- 19:18Speaker 7: Great.
- 19:19Speaker 4: I got a verdict, too. Yeah, I think we're all.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Okay. I don't think Santa should get paid. Go ahead, Marcus.
- 19:25Speaker 4: What is wrong with you?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Shocking.
- 19:28Speaker 6: No, I'm objecting to that, but let's hear your case.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Okay.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Here's the case.
- 19:33Speaker 5: The yellow pages, listen, words matter. There is a difference
- 19:38Speaker 5: between exotic and adult. I think adult Santa.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 19:43Speaker 5: I can see how you read that. And there needs
- 19:46Speaker 5: to be some sort of clarifying call.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Like, hey, I just want.
- 19:50Speaker 5: To make sure when when he when he found out
- 19:52Speaker 5: that she was calling because of the yellow pages he
- 19:54Speaker 5: needs to know that that's an out-of-date ad that was
- 19:57Speaker 5: 10 years ago why is that onus on him though
- 20:01Speaker 5: Because it is.
- 20:01Speaker 2: He's stripping.
- 20:03Speaker 3: You call and.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Somebody answers and goes, whatever it is, such and such
- 20:08Speaker 2: dancing service or such and such Santa service. And they
- 20:10Speaker 2: don't go, I saw you around the yellow pages. They go, hey,
- 20:12Speaker 2: I'd like to book you for an event.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Still his problem?
- 20:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I'm not going to give him any money.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I think that he's going to learn a valuable lesson.
- 20:23Speaker 2: You always got to make sure.
- 20:25Speaker 6: This guy was confined to a certain number of words, though, right?
- 20:29Speaker 6: And he said dancing Santa for adults, correct? Yeah, and
- 20:31Speaker 6: then he said adults a second time.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yes.
- 20:34Speaker 4: How many words did he get?
- 20:35Speaker 2: He used the word adult twice.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Sure.
- 20:37Speaker 6: But okay, so he didn't use exotic, though. So what
- 20:40Speaker 6: combination of words would make it okay for.
- 20:44Speaker 4: For you.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Exotic dancing Santa stripping.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Nudes.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Nudes, nudes, nudes.
- 20:50Speaker 4: For adults, adults?
- 20:51Speaker 2: Yes, for adults. I'm pretty sure in the Yellow Pages
- 20:54Speaker 2: there was some censorship. I don't think there's words you
- 20:56Speaker 2: could say. Interesting. I'm not changing my mind on this one.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Hold on. Give me your mic there.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a written contract, yes.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Okay, can we role play for just a second here?
- 21:09Speaker 2: Oh, God, sure.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I'm just interested in what this initial phone call would
- 21:12Speaker 1: have been like.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Oh, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:14Speaker 1: What's my name?
- 21:14Speaker 2: What's my name? What'd you say? What's her name?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Mary Lou.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Mary Lou.
- 21:17Speaker 1: And what's my name?
- 21:19Speaker 3: Chris Bridgers. Okay, all right.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Chris Bridges is ludicrous. He was not in this case.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Bring, bring, yellow, exotic dancing Santa service.
- 21:28Speaker 4: This is Chris.
- 21:29Speaker 7: Hi, my name is Mary Lou, and I would like
- 21:32Speaker 7: to hire you to come be an adult Santa.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Really quick, could you be Southern, please, just for this exercise?
- 21:39Speaker 3: We're going to go one more.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Let's run it back.
- 21:40Speaker 3: From the top, I'll do the phone ring.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I'll do the phone ring, Brit Southern, and action.
- 21:46Speaker 6: Ring, ring, ring, ring.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yellow, exotic dancing Santa, adult service thing.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 21:53Speaker 7: Hello, my name's Mary Lou, and I would like to
- 21:55Speaker 7: maybe hire you to come be an adult Santa for.
- 21:59Speaker 2: My church group.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Great, Mary Lou.
- 22:01Speaker 1: What are you looking for?
- 22:04Speaker 4: Well, reading.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I can read, okay.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Excellent. How much do you charge?
- 22:14Speaker 1: It's $ 200 an hour.
- 22:16Speaker 2: That seems reasonable. Simply for reading?
- 22:22Speaker 5: Yeah, and by the way, I'm gonna drop trowel.
- 22:27Speaker 7: Do we need to pay in full or should we
- 22:30Speaker 7: have one?
- 22:30Speaker 1: No, no deposit, no deposit. I've never had an unsatisfied customer.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I don't need a deposit.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Wow. Excellent. And seen. I was very good. Scott gets
- 22:46Speaker 2: to go home to his wife and say, I looked
- 22:48Speaker 2: Britt Bristow in the eye and said, I've never had
- 22:50Speaker 2: an unsatisfied customer. And those are the miracles that we.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Allow to happen here. This is the greatest night of
- 22:55Speaker 3: my life.
- 22:56Speaker 7: He also said he was going to drop Trow.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Drop Trow, that's right. Yeah, drop Trow. All right, I'm going.
- 23:03Speaker 2: How you doing, buddy? I'm doing no money. That's what
- 23:06Speaker 2: I'm doing. Marcus, what are you doing?
- 23:08Speaker 4: Oh, he definitely gets paid. He definitely gets paid, yeah.
- 23:12Speaker 2: The verdict, Judge Ross says, based on the evidence and
- 23:14Speaker 2: the testimony of the court, the gavel's going to come
- 23:16Speaker 2: down in favor of the plaintiff.
- 23:18Speaker 3: We'll start with the 200. He showed up on time.
- 23:21Speaker 2: He did what was asked. He updated his information online.
- 23:23Speaker 2: You used info that was dated, but should he get
- 23:26Speaker 2: the full amount? There was nothing that Mr. Bridger did
- 23:29Speaker 2: that wasn't reflected in the course and scope of what
- 23:32Speaker 2: was offered to you, so you are going to also
- 23:34Speaker 2: pay him for that second hour. $ 400 total for the plaintiff.
- 23:37Speaker 2: There you go. All right.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Justice.
- 23:40Speaker 2: There you go. That's nice.
- 23:42Speaker 5: Let's go to Justice for All with Christina Perez. Have
- 23:46Speaker 5: either of you been in a.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Have you of you?
- 23:49Speaker 5: Either of you two ever been in a Christmas movie?
- 23:55Speaker 2: Once or twice? Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 8: Really?
- 23:57Speaker 2: I don't know. Have you been in a fake relationship movie?
- 24:02Speaker 2: Once or twice?
- 24:02Speaker 6: Hey!
- 24:06Speaker 2: You're my husband and my boyfriend. Wow. Just kidding. Well,
- 24:10Speaker 2: then you're going to like this case. Sophia Kellis. What
- 24:13Speaker 2: a tease.
- 24:14Speaker 3: What a tease.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Sophia Kellis is suing Sebastian Bradford for $ 5, 400. Big money.
- 24:23Speaker 7: That's not a small amount.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Sophia is the black sheep of her family. She's an
- 24:28Speaker 5: event planner while everybody else is a doctor or a
- 24:32Speaker 5: lawyer or Or an actor.
- 24:37Speaker 2: They all have significant others. She's the only one that's
- 24:40Speaker 2: single in her family. She's the youngest. She just feels the.
- 24:44Speaker 5: Pressure to finally find somebody. She's always single at the
- 24:49Speaker 5: family events.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It's disheartening.
- 24:51Speaker 5: And she wants to make sure that her parents are
- 24:53Speaker 5: proud of her. She's in her 20s, for goodness sake.
- 24:57Speaker 5: And she just feels the pressure to settle down.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Am I right, ladies?
- 25:02Speaker 3: You said it, friend. You said it.
- 25:05Speaker 2: We hate her. Yeah. Yeah, so far she's not.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Judgment in favor of the other guy.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Well, you just wait.
- 25:15Speaker 5: She feels successful in the professional sense, but not in
- 25:19Speaker 5: her personal life.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And her parents are really.
- 25:23Speaker 5: They mean to or not are pressuring her to find
- 25:25Speaker 5: somebody and settle down.
- 25:27Speaker 2: So she's super busy. Online dating hasn't worked for her.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Thanksgiving's coming up and she stumbles upon a website where
- 25:35Speaker 5: you can hire a date for various holidays and gatherings.
- 25:40Speaker 6: And it's a dancing Santa who's only for adults.
- 25:44Speaker 4: I don't see what's going on.
- 25:45Speaker 3: He's cornered the market.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Yeah, he's good.
- 25:48Speaker 5: No, she found Sebastian. Sebastian's profile, it's good. He's 25.
- 25:53Speaker 5: He's a PhD student at Columbia. He's good looking. So
- 25:57Speaker 5: they begin to chat a bit, and then they do
- 25:59Speaker 5: a phone call where she talks about what she wants,
- 26:01Speaker 5: and she wants to hire him to come for the
- 26:04Speaker 5: entire Thanksgiving weekend. And the judge is really surprised to
- 26:09Speaker 5: find out that you can, A, hire somebody for a
- 26:12Speaker 5: full holiday weekend, and B, that she would feel the
- 26:15Speaker 5: need to do that. She's like, you're a pretty girl.
- 26:19Speaker 5: You're successful.
- 26:20Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 26:21Speaker 2: And she's like, I don't know. I don't know. It's
- 26:23Speaker 2: just where I'm at.
- 26:24Speaker 5: And so she talks to him and... Basically, what is
- 26:29Speaker 5: expected of him. And he was a bit nervous because
- 26:33Speaker 5: he'd only done single dates. He had not done a
- 26:36Speaker 5: full weekend meet the family situation.
- 26:38Speaker 2: So over to Sebastian.
- 26:40Speaker 5: He's been doing this for about six months for a
- 26:42Speaker 5: total of 12 different dating relationships.
- 26:47Speaker 2: He gets $ 750 a day for this. All right.
- 26:51Speaker 5: And the judge is blown away at that.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Scotty's signing up as we speak. It's not $ 200 an hour. No, yeah, yeah.
- 27:00Speaker 5: So the rules are that the dates is you have
- 27:05Speaker 5: to agree on certain things like how can you kiss?
- 27:09Speaker 2: A full-blown make-out situation?
- 27:12Speaker 3: Full-blown make-out situation.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Full-blown.
- 27:15Speaker 3: That's the official term that you guys use on set, right?
- 27:18Speaker 3: Are we doing the full-blown make-out? Yeah, of course.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Those are different sets.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Marcus should have done the stripping.
- 27:26Speaker 2: It's on me, guys. I missed it. I missed it.
- 27:28Speaker 2: $ 200 an hour.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Marcus, just for the record, Marcus, are you cool with
- 27:33Speaker 5: any set or are you like.
- 27:35Speaker 2: An E set? Any set.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Oh, any set.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah, of any kind.
- 27:39Speaker 4: It's all on the price.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Fair enough.
- 27:43Speaker 2: So they agree... It's like a peck. You can do
- 27:46Speaker 2: a peck on the cheek. That's all. That's all. That's
- 27:48Speaker 2: all we're doing here.
- 27:49Speaker 5: So there is a contract and Sophia has the evidence
- 27:55Speaker 5: and it includes a picture of his profile, which says.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Your secret is safe with me.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Can you repeat that part?
- 28:04Speaker 2: Your secret.
- 28:05Speaker 4: Who's got this written where?
- 28:07Speaker 2: He, that's on his profile. Got it. Oh, I see.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Yep.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Okay, that's like his tagline for his advertisement.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yep.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Okay.
- 28:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 5: Three nights, four days, full weekend celebration. She paid for
- 28:17Speaker 5: his flight, hotel, ride shares, and the daily rate for
- 28:20Speaker 5: a total of $ 5, 400.
- 28:23Speaker 2: May I ask very quickly? Sure.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Is this case called Holiday Date? I don't know. I've got,
- 28:31Speaker 3: did she pay for the oy vey aprons? Oy vey.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I'm sure you proudly own and put up in your
- 28:37Speaker 2: house somewhere, right? We own them. We should have brought them.
- 28:40Speaker 5: Um, so judge is like, Hey, why, why'd you spend
- 28:45Speaker 5: all this money? And she's like, I just really wanted
- 28:47Speaker 5: to feel wanted and I wanted to feel respected by
- 28:49Speaker 5: my family. And so judge Perez said, did you like,
- 28:53Speaker 5: did you have to lie about everything? Like, You got
- 28:56Speaker 5: to make up a story, right? And he's like, well,
- 28:57Speaker 5: I was honest about being from Columbia, but we did
- 29:00Speaker 5: come up with a story about how we met.
- 29:03Speaker 2: A meet cute, if you will.
- 29:05Speaker 5: So everything was great at first. He's being flirty and
- 29:08Speaker 5: he's being affectionate, pecs and all.
- 29:12Speaker 2: And she was liking it. She was liking it.
- 29:15Speaker 5: And Perez is like, well, anybody's going to flirt for.
- 29:18Speaker 3: $ 5, 000.
- 29:19Speaker 2: But she begins to develop a bit of a crush
- 29:23Speaker 2: on I've seen this movie eight or nine thousand times.
- 29:28Speaker 2: I've been in this movie.
- 29:29Speaker 4: But he definitely just wants the money.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Maybe there could be something in the contract that happened
- 29:39Speaker 5: so let's let's find out Perez says did you feel
- 29:42Speaker 5: bad about lying she says yes but they'd started to
- 29:47Speaker 5: feel real so I felt less bad about the lying
- 29:51Speaker 5: right So.
- 29:53Speaker 2: He's at the same hotel. This is where your movie,
- 29:57Speaker 2: it's not this anymore. Are you ready?
- 29:59Speaker 5: So he's at the same hotel as some of her cousins.
- 30:04Speaker 5: The next day, Sebastian shows up with one of her cousins.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Her cousin's boyfriend is nowhere to be found.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 2: The cousin's significant.
- 30:17Speaker 5: Other, I'm sorry, the cousin the night before was talking
- 30:23Speaker 5: to her boyfriend and she found out that he had
- 30:26Speaker 5: been talking to some other women.
- 30:27Speaker 2: So she broke up with him. He left. So he
- 30:30Speaker 2: gave her a ride. And the rest of.
- 30:33Speaker 5: The day, the two of them are very flirty in
- 30:39Speaker 5: front of the whole family.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I know.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Sophia.
- 30:45Speaker 5: Sophia is feeling very hurt and very offended. The whole
- 30:49Speaker 5: family is beginning to pick up on what is going
- 30:52Speaker 5: on here because he's ignoring Sophia and spending all the
- 30:56Speaker 5: time with the cousin.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Yes.
- 30:57Speaker 7: I would like to know how many days into the aforementioned.
- 31:01Speaker 2: They went on Thanksgiving, which is a Thursday here. And
- 31:04Speaker 2: it's now Saturday.
- 31:06Speaker 7: One, two, three.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Cool. One day left. You got it. 75%. 75%.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Nailed it.
- 31:13Speaker 7: Great.
- 31:14Speaker 5: On the car ride to the airport, she confronts him.
- 31:17Speaker 5: What's going on with you and my cousin? And he's like, oh,
- 31:19Speaker 5: I was just trying to care for her. You know,
- 31:21Speaker 5: she's my friend now, and she was going through a
- 31:24Speaker 5: tough time.
- 31:26Speaker 2: She was sad.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Judge Perez asks him if he told anyone about their
- 31:33Speaker 5: fake relationship.
- 31:35Speaker 2: And he said.
- 31:36Speaker 5: No, not during the contract time.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Perez says, well, what do you mean? He says, well,
- 31:44Speaker 2: a week and a half.
- 31:45Speaker 5: Later, I'm still talking to Sophia's cousin.
- 31:51Speaker 2: And I told her about the fake. What's the contract say, though?
- 31:56Speaker 2: Is he allowed to do that after the required requisite days?
- 32:01Speaker 6: I feel like if we were dealing in contracts, none
- 32:03Speaker 6: of this would exist. We're going to get into what
- 32:06Speaker 6: does the contract say. The whole thing's going to unravel.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Contract is usually king. problem but you're right yeah you're
- 32:14Speaker 3: 100 right.
- 32:15Speaker 5: The contract basically says it's a part of it like
- 32:17Speaker 5: you have to agree on on the the the physical
- 32:20Speaker 5: stuff and what you're comfortable with as far as kissing
- 32:22Speaker 5: goes and whatnot and you also agree to keep it
- 32:25Speaker 5: a secret and that's.
- 32:27Speaker 2: It indefinitely it doesn't say it just says you will
- 32:30Speaker 2: keep it a secret oh to.
- 32:32Speaker 7: Me that says indefinite that says a secret is a
- 32:35Speaker 7: secret a secret's not a secret for.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Four days Implied indefinitely.
- 32:39Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what we're going to be litigating here.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Well, guys, just you wait.
- 32:45Speaker 5: So she gets back together with her family for Christmas vacation.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 32:51Speaker 2: And he's there. He's coming.
- 32:53Speaker 5: And the cousin shows up and brings Sebastian. And the
- 33:01Speaker 5: cousin tells everyone about the fake arrangement.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Sebastian does not. It's her.
- 33:10Speaker 5: Judge Perez says, why would, talking to Sebastian, why would
- 33:15Speaker 5: you go to the Christmas party of the family of
- 33:20Speaker 5: the girl that you had a fake relationship with a
- 33:24Speaker 5: month ago? He does not have an answer.
- 33:27Speaker 2: What? She's ready to rule.
- 33:31Speaker 6: Maybe he's an immoral person who's willing to be paid
- 33:34Speaker 6: to pretend he's in relationships with people.
- 33:38Speaker 4: He's a loser. Wow.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a tough spot.
- 33:43Speaker 4: What's this website where I can make up to $ 750
- 33:45Speaker 4: a day?
- 33:46Speaker 2: We'll make sure you get it.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Okay, good, because I got some expenses.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Okay.
- 33:51Speaker 3: So does she say that? I love that you said
- 33:54Speaker 3: that right after Roswell was like, he's a loser.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Scott's like, sign me up.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I can do what for how much?
- 34:02Speaker 3: So would she say that he did... Do the.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Job of fake boyfriend on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday?
- 34:10Speaker 5: He did do the job, but obviously she's hurt by it,
- 34:15Speaker 5: and now everybody in the family knows that she left.
- 34:17Speaker 2: It's just a matter of if indefinitely is implied or not, right?
- 34:21Speaker 3: Like, that's the ticket. Is the secret indefinitely implied?
- 34:24Speaker 2: Well, but also, technically, he's not the one that spilled
- 34:26Speaker 2: the beans to the rest of the family.
- 34:27Speaker 3: But he did tell someone.
- 34:28Speaker 2: He did tell someone.
- 34:29Speaker 4: So she is suing him to get the money back.
- 34:32Speaker 2: That's right. All $ 5, 400. So she bought probably $ 3, 000 for him,
- 34:34Speaker 2: $ 750 times four.
- 34:34Speaker 3: But the other $ 2, 500 is flight, hotel, all that stuff.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Right.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 34:36Speaker 3: But he went to this Christmas thing knowing that.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a dude.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Then he was owed $ 5, 400 or whatever?
- 34:53Speaker 2: No, he has the money.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Yeah, he has the money.
- 34:55Speaker 2: The deal is done.
- 34:57Speaker 1: I misunderstood.
- 34:57Speaker 2: He has the $ 3, 000, the money she spent on the
- 34:59Speaker 2: ride shares and the flight to the hotel.
- 35:01Speaker 1: So if I sign up for this site, I'll get
- 35:03Speaker 1: paid up front?
- 35:05Speaker 2: No, no, I don't think so.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I don't think so. Scotty, do you need money? Can
- 35:08Speaker 3: I write you a check or something?
- 35:10Speaker 1: No, no, I'm just not above. Never mind.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Yeah, of course not.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Never mind. I think that's what I'm trying to get
- 35:18Speaker 2: at is on Thursday, Friday, a lot of those expenses
- 35:21Speaker 2: happened when he was fulfilling the contract. Yep. He just
- 35:24Speaker 2: happens to be a doofus. And he told someone after
- 35:28Speaker 2: the fact. That's a tough one.
- 35:29Speaker 6: Yeah, but it sounds like he broke the contract multiple times, right?
- 35:32Speaker 6: Because he was employed during that time to be canoodling
- 35:35Speaker 6: with her.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Meanwhile, he's also canoodling with somebody else. On the third day.
- 35:38Speaker 4: And then broke the secrecy thing afterward.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:42Speaker 3: This guy, yeah.
- 35:43Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 35:44Speaker 4: She's got her money back for sure.
- 35:45Speaker 7: And also, when did he tell the cousin? Because if
- 35:50Speaker 7: it was four, if it was three, four days, three nights, Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
- 35:55Speaker 7: that means Sunday was included. He drove the cousin.
- 35:59Speaker 2: On Saturday.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Yep.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Right? He actually, he drove her on Saturday. Yeah, yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 2: To that back to the house.
- 36:05Speaker 7: So then he shows up saying, I'm just friends with
- 36:08Speaker 7: this one.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Yep.
- 36:09Speaker 2: On Sunday.
- 36:10Speaker 6: The only way he got in there was by telling
- 36:12Speaker 6: her what the deal.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:15Speaker 5: All right.
- 36:15Speaker 2: What do we think, everybody? All right. Rosner?
- 36:17Speaker 6: He's a bunch of terrible people is what these people are.
- 36:19Speaker 6: But no, she needs her money back for sure. So
- 36:24Speaker 6: that's the verdict, I think.
- 36:25Speaker 4: All 5,500.
- 36:25Speaker 3: All 5,500.
- 36:26Speaker 7: Yeah, no, I think she deserves her money back. I mean,
- 36:30Speaker 7: given that I've played this girl one whole time. It's
- 36:34Speaker 7: hard when your parents want you to find someone. You just,
- 36:37Speaker 7: you have to hire an actor to come home with
- 36:39Speaker 7: you for Christmas and then your whole family finds out
- 36:41Speaker 7: that he doesn't eat ham and it's really confusing.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Who was in this one with you?
- 36:46Speaker 2: Matt Cohen.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Matt Cohen, I don't think I know that guy.
- 36:49Speaker 1: And if anybody's watching this in the future and wants
- 36:51Speaker 1: to hire me, I would never give up that secret.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I would take that to my grave.
- 36:55Speaker 2: A secret is a secret is a secret.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Secrets do not expire.
- 36:58Speaker 2: But what do you think about the case, Scotty?
- 37:00Speaker 1: I think he owes her.
- 37:01Speaker 4: All right.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Dan? So I'm going to do what you did.
- 37:04Speaker 2: I'm going to break a little bit here. I think
- 37:06Speaker 2: he doesn't, he should not get it done. I don't
- 37:10Speaker 2: know if... paying for the travel up front should be
- 37:14Speaker 2: a part of his reimbursement. I think she's going to
- 37:18Speaker 2: get the $ 3, 000 she spent. She decided how to bring
- 37:22Speaker 2: him in and where to lodge him and all that stuff.
- 37:27Speaker 3: He doesn't deserve a dime.
- 37:28Speaker 2: That is also part of the contract, though.
- 37:30Speaker 5: The person who hires you is responsible to get the
- 37:34Speaker 5: person there.
- 37:35Speaker 3: But by any means they choose, there's not a set amount.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's up to you how you want to do it.
- 37:39Speaker 4: I see what you're saying.
- 37:40Speaker 2: You're pretty much telling me he's going to have to
- 37:43Speaker 2: give her all the money. My guess is if it was,
- 37:48Speaker 2: I'm not super familiar with Perez. If it was Ross
- 37:51Speaker 2: or even Mathis, he'd probably.
- 37:53Speaker 3: Get $ 3, 000, not $ 5, 500. I'm going to go $ 3, 000 and
- 37:56Speaker 3: be wrong.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Let's do it. She's getting all the money. Woo!
- 38:00Speaker 6: Woo!
- 38:02Speaker 1: Justice.
- 38:03Speaker 5: The contract does not say keep it a secret through
- 38:07Speaker 5: the agreed upon time.
- 38:08Speaker 2: It says you will keep it a secret, period. That
- 38:10Speaker 2: is indefinite. Therefore, she gets all the money. Gets all
- 38:14Speaker 2: the money.
- 38:14Speaker 3: That's exactly right.
- 38:15Speaker 2: There it is. All right, that's Yo Gabble Gabble.
- 38:22Speaker 8: You're about to hear some ads that help keep the
- 38:25Speaker 8: lights on here in the old studio. Thanks for listening
- 38:29Speaker 8: or don't listen. It's really up to you at this point.
- 38:32Speaker 8: It's at the end of the show. I mean, you're
- 38:34Speaker 8: listening to me. Hi, but here they come. I promise
- 38:38Speaker 8: they're coming.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Yep. Here they are.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Happy day.
