A major heist hit Crypto Therm Manufacturing in southeast Calgary on November 4, 2025, with thieves stealing hundreds of thousands in industrial equipment and copper wire. Three suspects broke in and fled before police arrived. One, 54-year-old Tyler John Ferris, was arrested in June after DNA evidence led detectives to him—he’s facing charges and set for trial later this month.
