Speaker 2: So let me tell y'all. Today has been the day
• 3:34
Speaker 2: of all type of Christmas events where I work. Okay,
• 3:39
Speaker 2: so I decide I might as well keep the tradition
• 3:42
Speaker 2: going on. Okay. I had a wonderful time today. We
• 3:46
Speaker 2: did a family gingerbread build and I think that's one
• 3:49
Speaker 2: of the things that we kind of lose touch of
• 3:52
Speaker 2: when it comes down to the holiday. We get so
• 3:56
Speaker 2: monetary that we forgot family. Okay, So we did a
• 4:00
Speaker 2: family gingerbread bough and then we played Bengo. I know
• 4:06
Speaker 2: y'all thinking, Bengo, what's so Christmas season about that? We
• 4:12
Speaker 2: this so Bengo, you guys, so the craziest thing. This
• 4:17
Speaker 2: can be a great family game, especially when everybody comes
• 4:22
Speaker 2: in town. Y'all got that Christmas music showing up in
• 4:25
Speaker 2: the background. So what you can do is you can
• 4:29
Speaker 2: make Bengo cards absolutely free on websites online. Gather your playlists,
• 4:36
Speaker 2: make your Bengo cards, give it out to the family.
• 4:40
Speaker 2: They have to guess the song title and the author
• 4:45
Speaker 2: make their little mark on numboard first one that gets
• 4:48
Speaker 2: wingo when. So that's two great ideas that I want
• 4:52
Speaker 2: you guys to try to do this holiday with your family.
• 4:58
Speaker 2: But tonight I am talking music and books to the
• 5:04
Speaker 2: things that I love. So I'm gonna show you my
• 5:09
Speaker 2: favorite twelve Christmas songs and twelve great holiday reads that
• 5:15
Speaker 2: came out this year. So it's nothing old. And remember
• 5:19
Speaker 2: what we say, no book is an old book, because
• 5:22
Speaker 2: every book is a new book because not everybody has
• 5:25
Speaker 2: read every single book. So I'm gonna show you my
• 5:29
Speaker 2: favorite songs and these twenty twenty four Christmas reads. So
• 5:34
Speaker 2: I'm gonna bring up my slides show while we loading.
• 5:37
Speaker 2: Go ahead and get your pencil and your pens so
• 5:39
Speaker 2: you can write down these great titles. All the titles
• 5:44
Speaker 2: we have tonight are adult novels. We're going from hood
• 5:49
Speaker 2: to rom com to Christmas paranormal. Yes, somebody actually did
• 5:57
Speaker 2: that koodles to her. And then I even got some
• 6:01
Speaker 2: coloring books because I like coloring books. You guys, it's
• 6:04
Speaker 2: very soothing. So you guys ready, let's get ready for
• 6:08
Speaker 2: this sleigh rye. So while we're bringing up our slides,
• 6:15
Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you the other adventures that we
• 6:17
Speaker 2: have going on. We have one hundred authors to look
• 6:21
Speaker 2: out in twenty twenty five. If you want to be
• 6:23
Speaker 2: a part of one of those authors, please email Angela
• 6:28
Speaker 2: Thomas Smith or you can contact me or look for
• 6:32
Speaker 2: all the information that we have on Facebook. If you
• 6:35
Speaker 2: have any other questions, feel free to inbox us and
• 6:38
Speaker 2: what we'll do get that information over to you. And
• 6:42
Speaker 2: of course we got fifty two authors for our interviews
• 6:48
Speaker 2: in the States, which means that we will interview an
• 6:51
Speaker 2: author from every state. How can you claim your state?
• 6:56
Speaker 2: There's three ways. Live in the state, born in the state,
• 7:01
Speaker 2: or your book is about that state. You will represent
• 7:07
Speaker 2: that state in the year of twenty twenty five. Okay.
• 7:11
Speaker 2: All both of these ventures have a small fee, but
• 7:14
Speaker 2: you cannot imagine how that small fee is going to
• 7:18
Speaker 2: launch you into very a lot of places. Okay, you guys,
• 7:24
Speaker 2: So remember one hundred authors fifty two authors and we're
• 7:31
Speaker 2: still coming back here in March. We're bringing the road
• 7:34
Speaker 2: crew back again, so make sure you guys are listening,
• 7:38
Speaker 2: following our pages, following the crew, so you don't miss
• 7:42
Speaker 2: a beat. Okay, slide show. Okay, I'm so we're having
• 7:56
Speaker 2: a little technical difficulty, so you guys, I am going
• 7:59
Speaker 2: to to go and we're gonna try it a different way. Okay,
• 8:04
Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you some of my holidays. My holidays
• 8:09
Speaker 2: is always with my family, you guys. I love being
• 8:13
Speaker 2: with my family. It is such a joy to just
• 8:18
Speaker 2: be able to be around everyone. And sometimes you can't
• 8:21
Speaker 2: be around everyone because everyone has their own little thing
• 8:26
Speaker 2: going on. So I A'm going to share my screen
• 8:32
Speaker 2: with you guys. All right. This is sci Bookyalds and
• 8:58

• 9:08
Speaker 2: Christmas reads. All books can be found on Amazon Haven't
• 9:11
Speaker 2: and have been published this year. Okay, This song, you guys,
• 9:18
Speaker 2: Collor Thomas g Wids is Christmas. It reminds me of
• 9:23
Speaker 2: my mother who passed. God, y'all, this is one of
• 10:50
Speaker 2: those ones where you got Grandma in the kitchen. She
• 10:53
Speaker 2: just whooping up that sweeping tato figh and you're just
• 10:56
Speaker 2: seeing her rockets side to side, and you're just sitting
• 10:59
Speaker 2: up there and you just taking on that instant memory.
• 11:04
Speaker 2: This is another why, another reason why this one is
• 11:07
Speaker 2: on my favorite list. Merry Christmas Baby by Otis Redding
• 11:13
Speaker 2: Now Festival at Evergreen Falls by D. L. White. Thanny
• 11:20
Speaker 2: Wilson is used to organizeing spectacular events in her high
• 11:25
Speaker 2: gloss cities like Atlanta and small town Georgia, but after
• 11:30
Speaker 2: losing her prestigious event planning physician, she needs this festival
• 11:35
Speaker 2: to be successed. She doesn't need the distraction of Quame
• 11:41
Speaker 2: the frustrating, attractive writer determined to persevere and you know,
• 11:48
Speaker 2: just ruin her whole holiday tradition. But with her career
• 11:53
Speaker 2: is at a crossroad and big city opportunities calling, can
• 11:57
Speaker 2: she trust it sometime to path the happiness these right
• 12:01
Speaker 2: where you least expected. So, you guys, love story by
• 12:08
Speaker 2: falling in love with the one you're not supposed to
• 12:11
Speaker 2: be with, Like, seriously, this is who you're gonna put
• 12:15
Speaker 2: me with? He gets on my nerve, but you know what,
• 12:19
Speaker 2: through everything, something about him is what she needs. Grab
• 12:25
Speaker 2: this one. It's a novella about a hundred and ten pages.
• 12:32
Speaker 2: It's only two ninety nine. You guys, go hand and
• 12:34
Speaker 2: grab this one. Now, what y'all know about this one?
• 12:41
Speaker 2: That's Solid Night, Solid Night by the Temptations will stop
• 12:47
Speaker 2: you at your feet. You already know once you hear
• 12:51
Speaker 2: that ooh ooh, ooh, that's it? Now? Why is this
• 12:57
Speaker 2: one of my holidays specialties and things? My son is
• 13:02
Speaker 2: born on Decemited four. I was born on Decemited fifth,
• 13:07
Speaker 2: and we always say, whoever hears it first know that
• 13:12
Speaker 2: is birthday season. So we always look somewhere after Thanksgiving
• 13:18
Speaker 2: to hear this song, and it ensures us that we're
• 13:21
Speaker 2: getting ready to see another birthday. So Solid Nights Body
• 13:26
Speaker 2: Temptations one of those holiday classics. Here's another great holiday read.
• 13:39
Speaker 2: Let's say Cosplay, Reindale, Shifters and one Wild Ride at

• 14:05
Speaker 2: Christmas and jew and jingle bells is all year round
• 14:11
Speaker 2: for her. Her fastest spirit, very contagious, would have had
• 14:16
Speaker 2: too much for her boss. Suspisingly getting fired turned out
• 14:21
Speaker 2: to be the blessing in disguise. When an offer from
• 14:25
Speaker 2: a dream job hits certain box, she wastes no time
• 14:29
Speaker 2: in packing her bags and heading to a place where
• 14:32
Speaker 2: the holiday passion will always be celebrated, Santa Anna, California,
• 14:38
Speaker 2: the city of Holiday magic. Well, on the other hand,
• 14:44
Speaker 2: we have Jesse Freeman, a Santi Ana native through and
• 14:48
Speaker 2: through has witnessed this blueoo, has witnessed the quirky holiday
• 14:54
Speaker 2: antics of his mountain town for as long as he
• 14:57
Speaker 2: could take it. However, the festest spirit still eludes him
• 15:01
Speaker 2: for so many years. That's until a spirited Elk walks
• 15:06
Speaker 2: into his office claiming to be his new recruit. Sparks fly,
• 15:12
Speaker 2: but with Tristal and Jared make it more interesting, lighted,
• 15:21
Speaker 2: or blew it completely out. So you guys gonna have
• 15:24
Speaker 2: to read this one. Unforgettable Christmas by Stella Williams. Now.
• 15:28

• 15:46
Speaker 2: for my daughter. I'm so tired of hearing the song,
• 15:50
Speaker 2: but she loves it and she's always loved us. In
• 15:54
Speaker 2: that time that we saw this, not that happened down
• 15:56
Speaker 2: here in Charleston. It wasn't even Christmas time. But every
• 16:00
Speaker 2: time she hears lets his snow, she thinks back to
• 16:04
Speaker 2: her first Charleston Christmas when she was about three years old.
• 16:08
Speaker 2: So this one is for my baby girl, Anaya let

• 18:30
Speaker 2: killer by Fatima Monroe, who Father Christmas was my beginning,
• 18:38
Speaker 2: my middle and my end. I craved his presence forever,
• 18:42
Speaker 2: in love with his essence. Santa Claus was in the
• 18:46
Speaker 2: air I breathed until I discovered he was keeping secrets,
• 18:51
Speaker 2: secrets that broke my heart time and time again. Yet
• 18:55
Speaker 2: when I said till death dow us apart, I meant it.
• 19:01
Speaker 2: We never shall say those words until we really know
• 19:05
Speaker 2: what those vows mean. I just want to know how
• 19:09
Speaker 2: she kills Sanna and who Santa was with or her.

• 19:48
Speaker 2: the movie even more. It's just one of those modern

• 20:08
Speaker 2: take a chance and take a moment. Go to YouTube
• 20:13

• 20:31
Speaker 2: So I know y'all looking at the question marks down there.
• 20:34
Speaker 2: This has not even been released. The release date of
• 20:39
Speaker 2: this is December twenty twenty four. She has not released it.
• 20:46
Speaker 2: She has the date as Christmas Eve. But if y'all
• 20:53

• 21:00
Speaker 2: I am looking forward to it. This will be my
• 21:02
Speaker 2: first time reading this author. The reason why I read
• 21:07
Speaker 2: this author because I have read others that have been
• 21:10
Speaker 2: under the Jay Jordan presents, So I really want to
• 21:14
Speaker 2: know who Jay Jordan, Journey Jordan, the founder. I want
• 21:18
Speaker 2: to read some of her works, So I decided this
• 21:20
Speaker 2: was going to be that one that I read. Okay,
• 21:23
Speaker 2: so a little bit about this one is.
• 21:26
Speaker 3: Fifteen year old Reason Russell grew up in a gritty,
• 21:31
Speaker 3: crime written city with a single mother who spent time
• 21:35
Speaker 3: working more than she spent at home, and an oldest sister.
• 21:40
Speaker 2: Remedy, who grew up way too fast when she became
• 21:43
Speaker 2: a mother at fourteen. One day, while spending time with
• 21:48
Speaker 2: their best friend, Mashiah, reading acounters Oshay, the notorious leader
• 21:54
Speaker 2: of the Christian Kings, infamous for their ruthless reputation and
• 21:59
Speaker 2: kill first, ask questions later mentality. Despite her better judgment,
• 22:05
Speaker 2: she felt a strange but strong pull to war and
• 22:09
Speaker 2: an attraction she could not explain. But when tragedy strikes unexpectedly,
• 22:15
Speaker 2: Reason is forced to flee from her only home because
• 22:18
Speaker 2: she's ever known. Fast forward seventeen years and Reason returned
• 22:25
Speaker 2: to her old neighborhood for the first time since the incident.
• 22:29
Speaker 2: Now engaged or her fiance, she can't. All she wanted
• 22:34
Speaker 2: to do was spend time with her family for the holidays,
• 22:37
Speaker 2: but she wasn't prepared for the drama and the turmoil
• 22:40
Speaker 2: that awaited her once she arrived. With Christmas approaching, unresolved
• 22:45
Speaker 2: issues and goes from her past appears, forcing Reason confirming
• 22:50
Speaker 2: old roounds, especially her lingering feelings for a shade. Torn
• 22:56
Speaker 2: between her new life and her old one, Reasons must
• 23:00
Speaker 2: choose between the life she knows and the one her
• 23:04
Speaker 2: heart's desire. That is enough for you to go ahead him,
• 23:11
Speaker 2: head over the Amazon and put that book on your kindle. Okay,
• 23:20
Speaker 2: under the misticitoe What a Gangster by Jernie Jordan. This
• 23:25
Speaker 2: is for everybody. When you hear that drum and that
• 23:29
Speaker 2: beat drops. We all know Santa Claus Is coming to
• 23:32
Speaker 2: Town by the Jackson five. I think this one no,
• 23:39
Speaker 2: no Mammy kissing. I saw Mammy kissing Santa Claus. I
• 23:43
Speaker 2: think those two would be in the running for the
• 23:47
Speaker 2: most popular of the Jackson Fares Christmas albums. Okay, but
• 23:53
Speaker 2: every little kid knows it. When we were walking in
• 23:55
Speaker 2: the parade a couple of weeks ago, those kids heard
• 23:58
Speaker 2: that little beat and all they started singing in Unison.
• 24:01
Speaker 2: It was so beautiful. So make sure you play Santa
• 24:05
Speaker 2: Claus Is Coming to Town by the Jackson five. A
• 24:11
Speaker 2: wrong come you, guys. I have never really been interested
• 24:19
Speaker 2: interested in reading wrong coms, but one of my twenty
• 24:22
Speaker 2: twenty five goals is to scretch my horizon when it
• 24:27
Speaker 2: comes down to reading. I have had authors approach me
• 24:31
Speaker 2: asking me to read their books, and sometimes I have
• 24:34
Speaker 2: said no because I'm really not into that genre. But
• 24:37
Speaker 2: you know what, I want to stop saying no, and
• 24:40
Speaker 2: I want to say yes more So. This is one
• 24:43
Speaker 2: of those ones that I think I'm going to read.
• 24:46
Speaker 2: It's a novel Christmas by Charity Shean and this one
• 24:49
Speaker 2: is nine ninety nine, a prominent romance author has a
• 24:53
Speaker 2: slump in her life and a book sales, but a
• 24:57
Speaker 2: chance and count of what a hot Firefighter helps her
• 25:01
Speaker 2: reignize her muse in the soothing holiday romance perfect for
• 25:06
Speaker 2: book romantics. Sarah Wright is a prominent black author who
• 25:10
Speaker 2: has been signed to the most prestigious publisher of African
• 25:15
Speaker 2: Americans works. Her career has been very successful for the
• 25:18
Speaker 2: past five years, but however, she's in a slump and
• 25:23
Speaker 2: so are her sales and her reviews. The romans she
• 25:27
Speaker 2: once known seems to be sapped out of her stories
• 25:31
Speaker 2: and how to her real love life Eagle To get
• 25:35
Speaker 2: Sarah back on the top of her chart, her publisher
• 25:39
Speaker 2: has given her an ultimatum write a chart topping holiday
• 25:43
Speaker 2: romance or be dropped from the label. There's only one problem.
• 25:49
Speaker 2: She strongly opposes penning holiday books. To her, they are
• 25:55
Speaker 2: cliche off brand, but her career is on the line,
• 26:00
Speaker 2: so she's forced to give it a shot. The Captain
• 26:03
Speaker 2: of the Spirit of the Holiday, she books a vacation
• 26:06
Speaker 2: in Christmas in town where she finds a love So
• 26:14
Speaker 2: the question is she meets mister Black Mister December the Firefire.
• 26:24
Speaker 2: Now he's happily married with the love of his life
• 26:26
Speaker 2: until cancer took her away from him, so he's coping
• 26:29
Speaker 2: with the loss. A romantic relationship is the furthest from
• 26:33
Speaker 2: him by howiever. When he encounters her for the holiday party,
• 26:39
Speaker 2: sparks fly and the fire is ignited as he to
• 26:45
Speaker 2: navigate through the various encounters, holiday festives, and a snowstorm.
• 26:50
Speaker 2: Will the magic bring them both together? Who knows? Grab
• 26:56
Speaker 2: this one A novel Christmas by Charity Shane nine on Amazon.
• 27:04
Speaker 2: This is a hidden gym. I have always been a
• 27:08
Speaker 2: fan of BBACC winings. I consider them they're brothers and sisters. Okay,
• 27:15
Speaker 2: they're not married, their brothers and sisters. But the music
• 27:20
