- 0:54Speaker 3: eyes on it.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I'll get in there.
- 0:57Speaker 4: How are we doing? Everyone? Hey, I don't think I
- 1:01Speaker 4: don't know.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I don't think you want to see this buddy boom Marlard.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Never have him on the show again.
- 1:07Speaker 4: There's at least one guy in there that does that
- 1:08Speaker 4: every time. And Hamburgers are fun, idiot. Yeah, it's sorry.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Earlier that same I goes missus Kane wasn't available. She
- 1:22Speaker 5: do better than Marlin.
- 1:23Speaker 4: What is his deal? Buddy? Why are you so upset
- 1:25Speaker 4: about everything?
- 1:26Speaker 5: Are you new to the internet?
- 1:28Speaker 4: Lets bring him on though you run social media like
- 1:31Speaker 4: you're ye, I don't read the comments.
- 1:33Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Yes, you sometimes stop lying sometimes I've had.
- 1:36Speaker 5: And then you respond off one O four five ESPN's page.
- 1:40Speaker 4: I did do that after my video from last week.
- 1:43Speaker 4: There was a Yeah, people did not understand the joke.
- 1:46Speaker 2: We're good.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Hey, look we have a that one was crazy. Sorry,
- 1:49Speaker 5: that one was crazy.
- 1:50Speaker 4: We'll talk about it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: We'll talk about it next segment. We we got we
- 1:54Speaker 2: got Roalty.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Here today, we got Doc we haven't seen him a while.
- 1:57Speaker 3: We got the Learning doctor here, Doctor Steven after it's
- 2:00Speaker 3: joining the show.
- 2:00Speaker 2: We appreciate. It's good to see you again.
- 2:02Speaker 6: Always happy to be here.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I know it's zero patients here.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Doc, I know you've been out of town a
- 2:07Speaker 3: little bit this summer and for great reason. And we've
- 2:10Speaker 3: been out of town for a little bit as well.
- 2:12Speaker 3: So it's uh kind of perfect timing to get you
- 2:15Speaker 3: back on the show because we are t minus what
- 2:17Speaker 3: six days, seven days?
- 2:18Speaker 6: Yeah, we're a week out, week out from camp.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I know the team is getting in good shape, they're ready,
- 2:25Speaker 3: But are you ready?
- 2:27Speaker 6: That's always a good question.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:29Speaker 7: I think this year is a little bit more intriguing,
- 2:31Speaker 7: the the the coaching changes, which I'm sure we've all
- 2:34Speaker 7: talked about, and you know, for me, I'm excited.
- 2:36Speaker 6: I think we've got a really good team. I'm excited
- 2:38Speaker 6: to see what we can do.
- 2:39Speaker 7: Uh because some of the years right now, I am
- 2:40Speaker 7: not ready full disclosure because you know, it's it's a
- 2:44Speaker 7: busy time for all of us. And you know, I
- 2:45Speaker 7: go from you know, occasionally getting a weekend off too.
- 2:47Speaker 7: I will not have a weekend off for about the
- 2:49Speaker 7: next four months. So it's it's it's it's a seven
- 2:52Speaker 7: seven day week job. It's it's busy, and that part
- 2:55Speaker 7: of it is not always fun. But uh, this year, yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 7: I'm kind of I'm kind of I think I'm with
- 3:00Speaker 7: the masses of at least in Baton Rouge, and I'm
- 3:01Speaker 7: pretty excited to see what it looks like.
- 3:03Speaker 3: So like your sked when you start training camp, because
- 3:05Speaker 3: I know normally you are you got a lot of
- 3:08Speaker 3: clinic days and then you're like it's like one or
- 3:11Speaker 3: two days or whatever at LSU, but always talking with
- 3:14Speaker 3: l s U and and they're an available training camp.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Is it like no more clinic for doc, it's you
- 3:19Speaker 3: are at l s.
- 3:19Speaker 6: U no, So I mean, I mean.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Just in case.
- 3:23Speaker 7: I yeah, my, my, my, my, My real job is
- 3:26Speaker 7: a clinic. You know, that's how I get paid. Uh
- 3:28Speaker 7: you know, L s u is IS is not my career.
- 3:31Speaker 7: I take it very seriously and it's something that I
- 3:33Speaker 7: really enjoy. And but look, I I gotta pay bills.
- 3:36Speaker 7: I got you know, I'm about to have one more
- 3:37Speaker 7: mouth to feed. And it's, uh, thank you, thank you.
- 3:40Speaker 7: And so it's it's so I still got to find
- 3:42Speaker 7: a way to do it all. And and so you know,
- 3:44Speaker 7: every every it's interesting with every team you look at,
- 3:46Speaker 7: there are different setups. There are some schools where their
- 3:48Speaker 7: docs are employed by the university, and so it's a
- 3:49Speaker 7: little bit different. I'm not gonna say it's easier for them,
- 3:52Speaker 7: but they're already there. They're on campus. You know, all
- 3:54Speaker 7: of our staff, you know, we work independently. So I
- 3:56Speaker 7: still have to do my clinic days. I just got
- 3:58Speaker 7: to a block out time. You know, to believe we
- 4:00Speaker 7: block out during practice. At least one of us is there,
- 4:02Speaker 7: especially the early parts because the heat and all the
- 4:04Speaker 7: other stuff you gotta worry about. So it's this is
- 4:06Speaker 7: morning morning practices, right. Well, once we get into season
- 4:10Speaker 7: morning practices. The camp schedule is kind of weird. It's
- 4:13Speaker 7: it's it's uh, some mornings, some evenings. They're gonna have
- 4:16Speaker 7: some days going late. I think some of the practices
- 4:18Speaker 7: are scheduled in around nine pm.
- 4:20Speaker 4: What.
- 4:20Speaker 6: Yeah, So it's a weird schedule.
- 4:22Speaker 4: It's is there any game that's like that? Is that? Why?
- 4:25Speaker 6: Well, you know, we're having.
- 4:26Speaker 4: To stay down to the heat.
- 4:28Speaker 6: I don't know why they're doing it.
- 4:29Speaker 7: I've never heard the explanation, because I think once we
- 4:30Speaker 7: start season. My understanding is we're gonna be all morning.
- 4:32Speaker 7: But uh, in August they're kind of morning.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 6: Yeah, they're they're they're they're messing with their minds.
- 4:38Speaker 2: A little bit there.
- 4:39Speaker 4: It starts at nine pm.
- 4:41Speaker 6: No, no, no ends, yes, no, yeah, so.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I can see that being a for one, getting out
- 4:46Speaker 3: of the heat because it's been ungodly hot recently, and
- 4:49Speaker 3: two you do play night games, So I mean I
- 4:52Speaker 3: get the I.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Think you're saying it starts at nine Oh no, that's wild.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Doc. This is Chris Marler. He's showing that he works
- 5:00Speaker 2: for lockdown games.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Look, we got a caffeine, Look that I'll reach across.
- 5:04Speaker 6: We were talking about caffeine earlier.
- 5:06Speaker 3: I don't know that was a pressing question for us,
- 5:08Speaker 3: for you today because Marler very world famous for his
- 5:13Speaker 3: caffeine intake.
- 5:14Speaker 4: First off, it was not my question. I did not
- 5:15Speaker 4: want to bring it up.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Sure, what's the normal limit for a human adult American,
- 5:21Speaker 3: red blooded American man?
- 5:22Speaker 4: I suppose it in a way that makes more sense.
- 5:24Speaker 4: I'm not an average person. I'm talking about a former
- 5:26Speaker 4: Division two athlete that does change things.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It's less.
- 5:32Speaker 7: You know, it's interesting that the caffeine debate is is
- 5:35Speaker 7: definitely a real thing out there. You're gonna get a
- 5:37Speaker 7: lot of different opinions. I don't know that there is
- 5:39Speaker 7: a consensus. I think most people agree that there is
- 5:41Speaker 7: a line that is too much, But some people will
- 5:44Speaker 7: tell you some caffeine is good.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Look nootropic.
- 5:47Speaker 6: Yeah, so there there's where is that line?
- 5:49Speaker 7: And I don't And look, I also am guilty those
- 5:51Speaker 7: who know me, I don't sleep enough. So caffeine kind
- 5:56Speaker 7: of helps the world go around. So you know, I've
- 5:57Speaker 7: already had mine this morning. Uh, couple last night I
- 6:01Speaker 7: worked through the night. So I mean this is this
- 6:02Speaker 7: is this is a of an up twenty eight hours
- 6:06Speaker 7: you've been up for twenty eight hours, Yes, twenty eight
- 6:09Speaker 7: hours last night? So oh so we usually that's yeah
- 6:12Speaker 7: yeah so so yeah, so I mean I really need
- 6:14Speaker 7: to keep going so i'd be sleep.
- 6:16Speaker 2: If I so.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Let me ask you this. When you work a like
- 6:19Speaker 3: a stretch like that, how long was sleeping? Like if
- 6:23Speaker 3: you get a one stemp, could you go for about
- 6:25Speaker 3: eighteen hours? Fifteen hours?
- 6:27Speaker 4: You know?
- 6:27Speaker 7: I no, no, not at all, not at all. I
- 6:30Speaker 7: wish I could a just life doesn't allow it. And yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 7: but uh it just I can't sleep that long?
- 6:35Speaker 3: Okay, so twenty four hour period, can we? Is it
- 6:40Speaker 3: safe to say so they have to? Ace's four hundred
- 6:42Speaker 3: milligrams caffe Is its safe to say maybe keep it
- 6:44Speaker 3: under a comma amount or it doesn't have a common Yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 7: I think when we start adding commas, that's probably getting
- 6:49Speaker 7: a little bit excessive. I mean, I think you know
- 6:51Speaker 7: that's that's a lot of caffeine when you get to
- 6:52Speaker 7: that level. I mean, because that's what four energy drinks
- 6:55Speaker 7: probably or what about before ten am?
- 6:57Speaker 4: Okay, we haven't done that, Yett to any word? Fair
- 7:02Speaker 4: getting there, doc, that's enough time for you today. I'm kidding,
- 7:08Speaker 4: that's fair. I mean I don't listen. I'm not saying
- 7:10Speaker 4: it's super healthy, okay, in a week like media days,
- 7:13Speaker 4: but it's like, yep, I mean listen. I can only
- 7:16Speaker 4: sit there and listen to Kaylen de Boar talk for
- 7:18Speaker 4: so long, and and that is.
- 7:21Speaker 7: There are times you needed one hundred percent. I don't
- 7:23Speaker 7: argue that point.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Like I said, I.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Would argue that listening to Kaalen de bar talk for
- 7:26Speaker 4: thirty minutes is as exhausting as a twenty eight hour
- 7:29Speaker 4: medical ship emotionally.
- 7:31Speaker 7: Emotionally absolutely yeah, pert a winning record though you know,
- 7:35Speaker 7: shut up, Okay, all right, I will move on.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I know I've beat the dead or or something on
- 7:41Speaker 2: the cafe.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I see anything crazy in the er?
- 7:44Speaker 7: Last night was not too crazy. Actually, and actually I
- 7:46Speaker 7: did catch the little naps. I shouldn't be diculous, but
- 7:48Speaker 7: an hour two naps?
- 7:49Speaker 4: So do you do that often?
- 7:51Speaker 6: Only a couple of times a month properly?
- 7:52Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, you used to do a lot like super insane.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Oh we've seen a lot of super insane.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Yeah, we get insane.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Story don't be geographic.
- 7:59Speaker 7: Though you watched the pit, I will well, there are
- 8:02Speaker 7: some that probably aren't appropriate. You know, there's there's there's
- 8:06Speaker 7: a lot of foreign bodies that go a lot of places,
- 8:08Speaker 7: let's get it. Not so those we usually those are
- 8:12Speaker 7: fun stories for probably off off camera.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Sounds really fun though.
- 8:17Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, there's so many different ways crazy you can
- 8:19Speaker 7: go because you get the what comes into the ear
- 8:21Speaker 7: that really shouldn't you know. I had a lady literally
- 8:23Speaker 7: come in by ambulance once because her boyfriend threw a
- 8:26Speaker 7: slice of cold pizza adder so it wasn't hot, pizza
- 8:28Speaker 7: didn't burn her. And my first question were you were afraid?
- 8:31Speaker 7: Is this situation where you know you felt danger? Maybe
- 8:34Speaker 7: you were scared?
- 8:34Speaker 4: No?
- 8:35Speaker 7: I was like, so you thought this was ambulance worthy,
- 8:37Speaker 7: not just ear worthy, but ambulance worthy. She's like hit
- 8:43Speaker 7: me with the piece of pizza, and I'm like my
- 8:45Speaker 7: first question were you're in danger? And then was it hot?
- 8:46Speaker 7: I'm thinking, okay, yeh scalding hot? Note it was out
- 8:48Speaker 7: of the fridge. Are you do you even hurt right now?
- 8:51Speaker 1: No?
- 8:52Speaker 7: So there's that kind of crazy, and then there's a
- 8:53Speaker 7: course like gunshots and horrible.
- 8:55Speaker 2: You know she had already met her premium.
- 8:56Speaker 6: You should have fallen off.
- 8:59Speaker 7: Yeah, So a normal night, last night, normal light, last night, yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 7: nothing too too crazy?
- 9:03Speaker 6: Have you no cold pizza? No, no gunshots?
- 9:05Speaker 4: And and I wish that that was an episode of
- 9:08Speaker 4: the Pit because every time we sit down a have
- 9:09Speaker 4: you watched it?
- 9:10Speaker 6: I've seen a few of the episodes.
- 9:11Speaker 4: I like it. I've heard it's like very realistic.
- 9:13Speaker 6: It seems pretty realistic the ones I've seen.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Okay, but there's like, every time we sit down and
- 9:18Speaker 4: watch with my fiance, I'm like, it's just a nice
- 9:20Speaker 4: little relaxing into the date. Nope, not at all. It
- 9:23Speaker 4: is a nightmare. Yeah, it's a lot of anxiety.
- 9:25Speaker 6: Oh, that's it is. And there's nights like that.
- 9:27Speaker 7: And of course the shows, you know, I get frustrated
- 9:29Speaker 7: because there's a lot of unrealistic. That one's pretty good,
- 9:31Speaker 7: but you really want to watch the day to day
- 9:32Speaker 7: because there's a lot of boring.
- 9:33Speaker 6: Stuff we have to do too.
- 9:34Speaker 7: You know, you're sitting me watching me chart is probably
- 9:37Speaker 7: probably rivals Kaylin de boor. I mean it's it's it's
- 9:40Speaker 7: not fun. So so again, that's not that's not fun,
- 9:42Speaker 7: that's not sexy, it's not exciting.
- 9:43Speaker 6: So I get it. You have to cut all that
- 9:45Speaker 6: stuff out.
- 9:45Speaker 4: But cold pizza is cold pizza.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Was was, Yeah, that was that was a weird one.
- 9:49Speaker 3: We're getting ready for training camp and I know it's
- 9:52Speaker 3: going to be a busy time, it's gonna be a
- 9:53Speaker 3: hot time. Let's just say this is a hype, completely
- 9:55Speaker 3: hypothetical situation. Let's just say last fall, I hurt my
- 9:59Speaker 3: foot and I was gonna do something next week that
- 10:03Speaker 3: it telled me having to go full speed on it.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Like, do you think I'd be ready?
- 10:07Speaker 6: I think so. I think so.
- 10:08Speaker 7: You know, unless you're that person we talked about in
- 10:10Speaker 7: the ear, the heather foot fall off in the car accident. Otherwise, yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 7: most foot injuries, you're You're good to go.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Most foot injuries be good to go. All right, well,
- 10:17Speaker 2: thank you, because.
- 10:18Speaker 6: Especially the most sports foot injuries that happened to football players.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yes, and there are a lot.
- 10:22Speaker 4: And I got a question for you, and this is,
- 10:25Speaker 4: I mean, so acl injuries obviously were like a massive,
- 10:28Speaker 4: massive thing. You're starting to see a lot more achilles
- 10:30Speaker 4: and injuries. Why isn't that so?
- 10:32Speaker 6: So it's it's interesting.
- 10:33Speaker 7: This is this is when we brought up you know,
- 10:34Speaker 7: and I think there's a lot of a lot of theory.
- 10:37Speaker 7: You know, I think some of it you got to
- 10:39Speaker 7: consider surface. You know, you're seeing an increase and artificial turf.
- 10:42Speaker 7: Even though I will see the turfs better than it
- 10:44Speaker 7: was thirty years ago, there's a lot more turf, So
- 10:46Speaker 7: I think turf plays into it. I think, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 7: the part of part of it may just be the
- 10:51Speaker 7: extent of activity we're doing. You look at kids, they're
- 10:54Speaker 7: doing more and more, younger and younger, And there's a
- 10:56Speaker 7: lot of things that can only hold up so long.
- 10:58Speaker 7: You got a rope that's holding up a heavy weight.
- 11:00Speaker 7: If you hang it long enough, that rope's gonna break right,
- 11:02Speaker 7: and intendons are kind of ropes, So there's probably some
- 11:05Speaker 7: of it. How much force is being applied to it
- 11:06Speaker 7: over time. And then look, maybe part of it is is,
- 11:09Speaker 7: you know, are these guys doing enough of the right
- 11:13Speaker 7: things in training? Are they focusing on just the big
- 11:15Speaker 7: explosive stuff. Guys are bigger, faster, stronger on the average,
- 11:19Speaker 7: So maybe it's the forces that are applied, the physics
- 11:21Speaker 7: that goes into it. You know, I think there's a
- 11:22Speaker 7: lot of theories and it's probably a little bit of
- 11:24Speaker 7: all the above.
- 11:25Speaker 3: R DOC As we kind of get into of course,
- 11:30Speaker 3: college is about to start LSU about report in a week,
- 11:33Speaker 3: but NFL has already reported. I did want to ask
- 11:36Speaker 3: you because it's relevant for everybody. The greatest quarterback in
- 11:39Speaker 3: the NFL, Patrick Mahomes coming back this season. Now, he
- 11:42Speaker 3: is practicing right now. He is scheduled from what they're saying,
- 11:48Speaker 3: potentially going to be ready for week one or that
- 11:51Speaker 3: is the goal is I mean, I know that fast
- 11:54Speaker 3: recoveries from big time knee injuries that used to be
- 11:57Speaker 3: career threatening are it's starting to be commonplace now getting
- 12:01Speaker 3: him back seven, eight, nine months. But with a longer
- 12:05Speaker 3: season in the NFL seventeen games, would this be something
- 12:08Speaker 3: that you're as a doctor, would you try to rush
- 12:12Speaker 3: him back or is this really even considered rushing anymore?
- 12:16Speaker 7: So you know that the ACL injury has been one
- 12:18Speaker 7: for a long time, like you I said, and it's
- 12:20Speaker 7: it's definitely an injury. We are better at now than
- 12:23Speaker 7: we used to be, you know, and a lot of that.
- 12:25Speaker 7: You know, in the day, they would have to do
- 12:26Speaker 7: them all huge open surgeries. Then they put you in
- 12:29Speaker 7: a cast for weeks and weeks and weeks, and then
- 12:31Speaker 7: you come out and you have no muscle tone left.
- 12:33Speaker 7: Now we get that knee move in almost the next day,
- 12:35Speaker 7: so there's a lot of changes.
- 12:37Speaker 6: But you know, look, it makes me a little nervous,
- 12:40Speaker 6: you know.
- 12:40Speaker 7: And a guy like him who's had other injuries in
- 12:44Speaker 7: the past, you know, he had at P teller dislocation,
- 12:45Speaker 7: he's had other knee problems. It was late in the season,
- 12:50Speaker 7: you know, it would make me nervous. I'm not saying
- 12:53Speaker 7: he's not gonna be ready. I do think on the
- 12:55Speaker 7: other hand, sometimes we get too worried, and we get
- 12:57Speaker 7: too scared, and we get too conservative, and even when
- 13:00Speaker 7: data tells us this guy's ready. His strength is good,
- 13:02Speaker 7: his reaction is good, he's very symmetric with his muscle
- 13:04Speaker 7: tone and strength, you know, and all those things look good,
- 13:06Speaker 7: and I feel like, sometimes we're still so nervous. So
- 13:08Speaker 7: we live in this kind of cya world. So I
- 13:10Speaker 7: don't know that I know the definitive right answer. I
- 13:12Speaker 7: will say I would be nervous with that short.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Of a timeline.
- 13:16Speaker 3: He's thirty years old, yeah, and already I think considered
- 13:19Speaker 3: one of the greatest of all time. Like this would
- 13:21Speaker 3: be one of those years where I'd be like, well,
- 13:23Speaker 3: let's look at the schedule. We're in a really good division,
- 13:26Speaker 3: like this might not be our year. Yeah, it might
- 13:29Speaker 3: be in a little while. And we know it's Travis's
- 13:31Speaker 3: last year, but it's like, man, he's thirty years old.
- 13:34Speaker 6: Yeah, let's got you gotta and maybe shoot for week
- 13:37Speaker 6: four maybe five.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Follow up question, will it fix his voice? That's well tough.
- 13:43Speaker 7: You know, maybe if they're giving him some things that
- 13:45Speaker 7: could help with the healing and recovery, you know, maybe
- 13:48Speaker 7: maybe some peptides and hormones and things like that, who knows,
- 13:51Speaker 7: but uh, probably not.
- 13:53Speaker 8: Hey, Doug, I have a question, actually, so we don't know.
- 13:56Speaker 8: I actually have a torn aco right now. I actually
- 13:58Speaker 8: had surgery a couple of my togo. Uh, so there's
- 14:01Speaker 8: a chance I pulled some strings. I might be able
- 14:04Speaker 8: to kick on college game day for September fifth. I
- 14:09Speaker 8: would be about three and a half months in recovery.
- 14:12Speaker 8: What do you think the chances I can actually do it? It's
- 14:14Speaker 8: my left leg and I'm kicking with my right foot.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Such your plant foot, plant leg. I'm a little more
- 14:19Speaker 6: nervous with plant leg.
- 14:19Speaker 7: If you want me to be honest, Okay, just just
- 14:22Speaker 7: let me know when you're doing all, make sure I'm there.
- 14:24Speaker 3: How far can we just make a big announcement.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a massive message.
- 14:32Speaker 2: But is game day cool with you saying this? I
- 14:35Speaker 2: don't know.
- 14:36Speaker 4: I talked to Gordy. Gordy said, you talked to Curve Street.
- 14:38Speaker 2: So okay, done deal.
- 14:41Speaker 6: I'll be on call for what could go wrong?
- 14:44Speaker 2: This might be a million dollar kick.
- 14:45Speaker 4: So I mean, it's a story.
- 14:47Speaker 6: Look, here's the reality.
- 14:48Speaker 7: I mean every sports this is what makes sports mess unique,
- 14:51Speaker 7: is every situation is unique in and of itself. You know,
- 14:53Speaker 7: if I have two seniors, one of them is a
- 14:55Speaker 7: huge recruit, five star guy is going to be coming
- 14:57Speaker 7: to L s U or wherever, and we're trying to
- 15:00Speaker 7: get him back for a senior year. And then if
- 15:01Speaker 7: I have another kid who this is his last year,
- 15:03Speaker 7: he's a senior, He's like, Doc, I just want to play.
- 15:05Speaker 7: I'm not playing in college. I'm gonna treat those guys differently.
- 15:09Speaker 7: If you have a chance to kick on game day,
- 15:11Speaker 7: it may not be the smartest medical decision three months out.
- 15:15Speaker 7: I don't want to ask you the surge because I
- 15:16Speaker 7: don't want to put them on the spot. But but
- 15:19Speaker 7: good life. But man, yeah it'd be great story. I'll
- 15:22Speaker 7: be rooting for either way. But yeah, I'll try and
- 15:24Speaker 7: be available in case needed.
- 15:27Speaker 4: You can tear your a c L again, or you
- 15:29Speaker 4: can become a legend and share the money with all
- 15:31Speaker 4: of us.
- 15:32Speaker 7: And to be fair, both of those things could happen simultaneous.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Hear me.
- 15:39Speaker 2: You can give him to make a better kicker.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I've seen Friday night lights and you know, yeah, we.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Got some needles.
- 15:47Speaker 3: If you're gonna hurt yourself again that do it in
- 15:49Speaker 3: extraordinary fashion yourself, be tough, miss the kick and just
- 15:53Speaker 3: walk off and.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Then see the diet.
- 15:55Speaker 6: Well, if I miss it, then you might go double
- 15:56Speaker 6: or nothing. Just made the first one.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Yeah, let's let's not go for too make much ever
- 16:04Speaker 3: one you can for sure? All right, Doc, training camp,
- 16:07Speaker 3: what is one of those? Give me a couple of
- 16:09Speaker 3: things that you are always on the lookout for when
- 16:12Speaker 3: you start practice.
- 16:13Speaker 7: Well, the biggest one's heat, you know, and I know
- 16:14Speaker 7: we've talked about how hot it is no our taught
- 16:16Speaker 7: earlier segment we were in Maine, and I'm jealous for that.
- 16:20Speaker 7: The heat is one hundred ten percent the biggest concern
- 16:22Speaker 7: we all have. Obviously, there's a lot that goes in.
- 16:24Speaker 7: You worry about injuries, you worry about all the same
- 16:25Speaker 7: injuries you always do. But this sume of year Southern
- 16:28Speaker 7: Louisiana heat is is a real player. We have to
- 16:30Speaker 7: be really well. They're well hydrated, you know, there's no
- 16:34Speaker 7: no doubt about that, and that definitely helps.
- 16:36Speaker 6: But but no, it's it's in all reality. I mean,
- 16:38Speaker 6: we're out there.
- 16:39Speaker 7: We have to watch the tempts, you know, we we
- 16:41Speaker 7: you know, we have the indoor facility not just for
- 16:43Speaker 7: rain and lightning, but for those really really hot days.
- 16:46Speaker 6: So you know, it's one benefit. You know, school like
- 16:48Speaker 6: LSU you have that.
- 16:49Speaker 3: I know y'all do the wet bulb as well, is
- 16:51Speaker 3: there is there a certain temperature or marker that's like
- 16:54Speaker 3: if it reaches this, we are definitely going inside.
- 16:57Speaker 7: Yeah, you usually were looking at around a wet bowl
- 16:58Speaker 7: of ninety, you know, and that's different than you know,
- 17:01Speaker 7: it feels like ninety or ninety outside that would be
- 17:03Speaker 7: Usually it feels like probably one ten plus. Honestly, you know,
- 17:07Speaker 7: somewhere in that ballpark, I might you know, meteorologists out
- 17:09Speaker 7: there don't don't yell at me, but let's yell at them.
- 17:12Speaker 7: But but but no, usually that's the number we use.
- 17:15Speaker 7: And and again that number is gonna be different Louisiana. If
- 17:17Speaker 7: you use the number that maybe they use up in Wisconsin.
- 17:20Speaker 7: I know you played up there, and then summer's there
- 17:22Speaker 7: can be quite pleasant, you know, they might. They probably
- 17:25Speaker 7: use a lower temp. We have to acclimate to the heat.
- 17:27Speaker 7: So so the reality of it is we're willing to
- 17:29Speaker 7: go a little bit higher else we've never practiced outside.
- 17:32Speaker 4: It's like when the British people came over here for uh,
- 17:34Speaker 4: not the Revolutionary War like you were talking about earlier,
- 17:36Speaker 4: but like the music exactly like the World Cup, and
- 17:41Speaker 4: it was like, oh my gosh, it's eighty four degrees outside.
- 17:44Speaker 4: You're like, yeah, that's a mild.
- 17:47Speaker 6: It feels good, doesn't it.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's nice.
- 17:49Speaker 3: All right, Doc. We appreciate your time. Good luck, Yeah,
- 17:52Speaker 3: appreciate safe.
- 17:53Speaker 2: They cool again. I appreciate that.
- 17:58Speaker 6: Yeah, I appreciate that.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I can't believe you parted with any milligrams of caffe
- 18:03Speaker 2: and so good for you. Bade you get a box.
- 18:05Speaker 3: All right, Doc, we appreciate your time. We will see
- 18:07Speaker 3: you next week. Look forward to doing this each and
- 18:09Speaker 3: every week and all season long. Hopefully not a lot
- 18:12Speaker 3: of LSU stuff to talk about it, all right, do
- 18:14Speaker 3: we appreciate your time?
- 18:15Speaker 2: T go tagers. That's exactly right, all right, we appreciate
- 18:18Speaker 2: your time dot so stick with us. We'll be back. Well,

- 18:29Speaker 3: If you live here in Louisiana, to stay away from
- 18:30Speaker 3: the heat, you might need a roof on your house.

- 18:33Speaker 3: well have the best roof and that is Pelican Roof
- 18:36Speaker 3: Pelican Roofing. So go to Pelican Roof if you need
- 18:39Speaker 3: a brand new roof, if you need a repair, doesn't
- 18:42Speaker 3: really matter. You can't give them a call offices and
- 18:44Speaker 3: laugh Yette offices in Baton Rouge. So what does that
- 18:47Speaker 3: mean for you? Why do we tell you about that
- 18:49Speaker 3: almost every single day? Well, because that means if once
- 18:51Speaker 3: you start a project with them, they are not gonna
- 18:54Speaker 3: have a crew and a project manager driving across the
- 18:57Speaker 3: basin each and every afternoon and every morning to get
- 18:59Speaker 3: to your gets your job. Nope, they are going to
- 19:01Speaker 3: dedicate a project manager every single day to your project

- 19:07Speaker 3: right way and done the Pelican right. And we also

- 19:41Speaker 2: Ye here, jeer, what's them now?
- 19:48Speaker 4: Now?
- 19:49Speaker 6: What's your want?

- 19:59Speaker 2: Gotta love that great sound effect?
- 20:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I love the boo the best part of the song.

- 20:11Speaker 2: better talk.
- 20:11Speaker 4: He remember finding Forrester.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Mmm, trying to place it, trying to place.
- 20:18Speaker 4: It, Sean a Basketball. Yeah, he was like, mister rhymes,
- 20:24Speaker 4: mister rhymes, muster, mister rhymes.
- 20:28Speaker 2: That's my dad.
- 20:30Speaker 5: I'm bust.
- 20:33Speaker 4: Somebody was talking about remember the show two days.
- 20:35Speaker 5: No, what all you do is come on here, come
- 20:39Speaker 5: on here and make references that nobody knows.
- 20:41Speaker 4: That's not true.
- 20:42Speaker 2: People get two days.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Okay, in this segment, it's been pretty bad. I'll say that.
- 20:46Speaker 4: We're thirty seconds then and I'm over two. You don't
- 20:49Speaker 4: remember two days on MTV the high school like Hoover
- 20:52Speaker 4: High School Rush.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Now, okay, now that you say that, I remember it,
- 20:55Speaker 2: but I didn't watch.
- 20:56Speaker 4: It, So thank you. One for two. There was a
- 20:59Speaker 4: kid on the show named Repeat. Okay, and then we
- 21:02Speaker 4: just find out, like four episodes in he was named
- 21:04Speaker 4: after his dad.
- 21:05Speaker 5: That's good.
- 21:06Speaker 4: His name was Pete.
- 21:07Speaker 5: I love that.
- 21:08Speaker 2: So he's Repeat.
- 21:10Speaker 4: I love that. Actually I wish I had a camera
- 21:13Speaker 4: out because that would have been a hell of a reaction. Chris,
- 21:16Speaker 4: Chris Super, we'll talk about the softa.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I think I know where your brain went.
- 21:24Speaker 4: That's where it used to be like a common joke
- 21:26Speaker 4: in college, and that's what people would call me, not
- 21:29Speaker 4: in public thinking. No.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Look, if you want to feel like you did back
- 21:34Speaker 3: when you were watching MTV, yeah, go to rejuven.
- 21:37Speaker 5: Me Medical when you're playing D two baseball.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:40Speaker 3: If you want to feel like your youthful self again,
- 21:42Speaker 3: it's rejuven Me. Rejuven Me Medical, rejuven me medical dot com.
- 21:45Speaker 3: They got thirteen locations all across Louisiana.
- 21:49Speaker 2: To get you right.
- 21:50Speaker 3: They got great clinics too, Like, so if you are
- 21:52Speaker 3: listening and hearing our voices, chances are you got a
- 21:54Speaker 3: really nice, an incredible clinic near you and you want
- 21:58Speaker 3: to go there, get your blood work on, and just
- 22:01Speaker 3: check to see what's going on inside your body. You
- 22:03Speaker 3: might have a hormone imbalance. And so Marler, we are
- 22:08Speaker 3: at the age where you know, well, like I'm.
- 22:11Speaker 6: A I am a client.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I go over there, I I go to juvenimile. Okay,
- 22:14Speaker 2: it's called do you go there too? Like it's kind
- 22:18Speaker 2: of the cool thing.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Everyone does, does everything.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Oh yeah, cool, glad. That's how we feel awesome every
- 22:24Speaker 3: single day because they got peptide therapy. They got peptas
- 22:26Speaker 3: for everything. You can feel better, you can look better,
- 22:29Speaker 3: you cant weight loss situations as well. Okay, look, I
- 22:34Speaker 3: have to look. I have to look at you at
- 22:37Speaker 3: some point, my god. Replacement therapy test on y'all, so
- 22:41Speaker 3: like you're gonna do it, Okay, all right, Ormone replacement
- 22:47Speaker 3: therapy Louisiana's leader for over ten years on testosterone replacement. Like,
- 22:51Speaker 3: like it's not about being like high test bro, It's
- 22:53Speaker 3: not about that it's being medically supervising, just getting to
- 22:56Speaker 3: the right levels.
- 22:57Speaker 2: For your age where you're supposed to be.
- 22:58Speaker 3: So look, look better, feel better, most importantly, and do
- 23:02Speaker 3: it with the experts over there. Rejuven me, medical, rejuven
- 23:05Speaker 3: me medical. Do com you're killing the today because I
- 23:11Speaker 3: mean because I mean it. Yeah, we got great we
- 23:15Speaker 3: had great advertisement here off the bench and we were
- 23:18Speaker 3: excited and fired up to.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Work with him.
- 23:22Speaker 4: What are we talking about now? We got another hour?
- 23:25Speaker 3: Well, there's a three hour show. So that's how time works.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Last week we were at SEC Media Days. We were
- 23:33Speaker 3: and we're not gonna like dive into that. I would
- 23:35Speaker 3: like to get some of your thoughts, some more thoughts
- 23:37Speaker 3: on se Mediday for you. But I did I saw
- 23:39Speaker 3: something that kind of piqued my interest a little bit.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Well right now, Big ten Media Days, that's happening. It's
- 23:48Speaker 3: a Big ten commissioner, Tony Patiti. He's uh you know,
- 23:52Speaker 3: gave a speech yesterday and talked about him and how
- 23:54Speaker 3: him and Sankie or have a very uh uh good
- 23:57Speaker 3: relationship and they have a good working relationship. They might
- 24:00Speaker 3: disagree here and there, but what I found was funny.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Of course they are they're on like this parade of
- 24:05Speaker 3: trying to say that we're better than the SEC blah
- 24:08Speaker 3: blah blah, and then they are right now and they've
- 24:10Speaker 3: won three national championships in a row. Okay, and so
- 24:13Speaker 3: all right, great job. But what's funny is I got
- 24:16Speaker 3: the clip from Brett Belima yesterday.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Did you see this?
- 24:20Speaker 4: I did. I had a whole segment unlocked on Cocks
- 24:22Speaker 4: about it.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Yeah, said they want to live in two thousand and
- 24:26Speaker 3: five forever, And okay, let's just take it like if
- 24:30Speaker 3: you if we want, if we want to be petty,
- 24:33Speaker 3: let's just take it factually.
- 24:34Speaker 4: Yeah, are you gonna say what I think you're gonna say? Hopefully?
- 24:36Speaker 2: Who won in two thousand and five?
- 24:38Speaker 4: Texas? Texas idiot? You can't even google things correctly, Brett.
- 24:42Speaker 4: I mean, like, here's the thing he truck. Are we
- 24:45Speaker 4: allowed to say the A word on here?
- 24:47Speaker 2: Not with one?
- 24:48Speaker 5: Well at the end, but you can say, oh, he.
- 24:50Speaker 9: Trusted his fat ass up on that podium and said,
- 24:53Speaker 9: like listen, I cannot stand Brett Bilma. He He's been
- 24:58Speaker 9: successful at two different He is built like a waterbed,
- 25:02Speaker 9: and that's coming from me.
- 25:03Speaker 4: First off, he goes up on stage and says, listen,
- 25:08Speaker 4: he is he is. So he goes up on stage
- 25:11Speaker 4: and he goes listen, they want to live in two
- 25:14Speaker 4: thousand and five. And it's like, like, there's not a
- 25:16Speaker 4: coach that goes out of his way to crap on
- 25:20Speaker 4: the SEC more and that conference than Brett be Bilamah.
- 25:23Speaker 4: And if it was Ryan Day, I'd be like, yeah,
- 25:25Speaker 4: it's tough to hear from you with that beard, but
- 25:27Speaker 4: that's you're right and you won. Like if it was
- 25:30Speaker 4: Kurt Signetty'd be like, man, I mean, it's tough to
- 25:32Speaker 4: always hear from you because you drive everyone crazy, but like,
- 25:35Speaker 4: you just won. If it was Jim Harbaugh, I'd be like, buddy,
- 25:38Speaker 4: you got to stop ordering milk at restaurants as a
- 25:40Speaker 4: fifty year old adult. But you also won. He also
- 25:43Speaker 4: does that, by the way, which is super creep level.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Dan Lanning, I would even listen to him. But Brett Beilama,
- 25:49Speaker 4: coming from a championshipless program in Champagne, Illinois, you have
- 25:55Speaker 4: been successful at two Big ten schools, two and then
- 25:58Speaker 4: you took yourself down to Arkansas. And here's what I
- 26:02Speaker 4: never undersaid. I use this example all the time about
- 26:04Speaker 4: why I don't understand coaches like I understand, you have
- 26:08Speaker 4: to have this level of competition and you want to
- 26:10Speaker 4: be elite. You want to go be the best at
- 26:12Speaker 4: and play against the best. I totally get that. But
- 26:14Speaker 4: if you're at Wisconsin at the time period he was there,
- 26:18Speaker 4: you're talking about a time where they had two divisions.
- 26:20Speaker 4: He's in the weaker one because Penn State, Michigan, Ohio
- 26:22Speaker 4: State were in the other one. Right, you're going to
- 26:24Speaker 4: get a trip to the Big Ten Championship game almost
- 26:26Speaker 4: every year, if not every other year. Right, that means
- 26:29Speaker 4: you're going to play for a potential Big Ten championship
- 26:31Speaker 4: and a trip to the Rose Bowl every two to
- 26:33Speaker 4: three years. Maybe Ohio State gets to the Natty and
- 26:35Speaker 4: you get to the Rose Bowl, maybe you win the
- 26:37Speaker 4: Big Ten. You're talking about ten wins, nine wins every
- 26:40Speaker 4: single year for as long as you want. And he
- 26:43Speaker 4: went to Arkansas and he finished in five years. He
- 26:47Speaker 4: was so bad at Arkansas they fired his ass on
- 26:49Speaker 4: the field like they didn't wait till they get to
- 26:52Speaker 4: the locker room. He went eleven and twenty nine in
- 26:54Speaker 4: the SEC. He finished seventh out of seven total teams
- 26:58Speaker 4: in the West Division. In three out of the five
- 27:00Speaker 4: years he finished fifth another year and tied for third
- 27:03Speaker 4: and the other year. Like the fact that this guy
- 27:06Speaker 4: is becoming like the sounding board or like the the
- 27:09Speaker 4: the the initial microphone in this echo chamber of ridiculous
- 27:13Speaker 4: takes about the SEC. It's mind blowing to me, Like,
- 27:16Speaker 4: let anyone else get up there and talk besides Brett,
- 27:19Speaker 4: be anybody, I mean, not like not a failed coach
- 27:23Speaker 4: from this conference. You of all people know how difficult
- 27:26Speaker 4: it is. And if he brings up that damn cheese
- 27:28Speaker 4: at Bowl one more time against South Carolina.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Yeah, five season Arkansas twenty nine and thirty four, recutaful
- 27:34Speaker 3: eleven and twenty nine in the SEC from twenty thirteen
- 27:37Speaker 3: to twenty seventeen. So you were kind of I mean,
- 27:39Speaker 3: you're right, like anybody, right, Like even even coaches that
- 27:44Speaker 3: haven't won a national championship, they could even say something
- 27:46Speaker 3: if they weren't in the SEC. Or Now, okay, we
- 27:50Speaker 3: take this is you know, during talking season, we'll take
- 27:53Speaker 3: every little detail. And you know, he was probably just
- 27:55Speaker 3: being comfortable with the media, just trying to like talk.
- 27:57Speaker 3: He probably didn't fact check anything, but we like to
- 28:00Speaker 3: fact check it. And of course in two thousand and five.
- 28:02Speaker 3: How would Texas that? So in his defense, they had
- 28:06Speaker 3: Big ten has won the last three national champions. But
- 28:10Speaker 3: since said two thousand and five, let's go down the
- 28:13Speaker 3: list of champions starting from this past year.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Okay, he got three, but then Georgia, Georgia, Alabama, LSU Okay,
- 28:23Speaker 3: Clemson got one. Alabama, Clemson gets another one, shouldn't have
- 28:27Speaker 3: got that one, Alabama, Ohio State, and fourteen Florida State
- 28:30Speaker 3: and thirteen but then Alabama, Alabama, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, LSU Florida.
- 28:35Speaker 4: So they played in sixteen of seventeen national.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Times pretty much could have pointed to any year besides
- 28:41Speaker 3: the last three, basically because the year pointed out it
- 28:44Speaker 3: wasn't even the SEC but still surrounded by SEC dominance.
- 28:49Speaker 3: But to the Big Ten's defense, they have one, so
- 28:52Speaker 3: we credit where credit is for sure.
- 28:55Speaker 4: I don't know why, but it's not just in front
- 28:57Speaker 4: of the microphone. He does this on Twitter all the time,
- 28:58Speaker 4: and it's it's hilarious to me because it's like I
- 29:01Speaker 4: think I called him fat Lane Kiffen before Kiffen got here,
- 29:03Speaker 4: because it's like you want so badly to be the villain.
- 29:07Speaker 4: But you're at Illinois. Yeah, no one cares, No one cares.
- 29:12Speaker 4: I mean you you are. Probably They're not a bad team.
- 29:14Speaker 4: They've got great, great defensive line play. They've been a
- 29:18Speaker 4: pretty I mean he got Luke Waltmero. Of course I
- 29:19Speaker 4: will miss as his quarterback last couple years. I they've
- 29:23Speaker 4: they've been a good football team. But again, for whatever reason,
- 29:27Speaker 4: for whatever reason, you have had really good success in
- 29:32Speaker 4: that conference, you were terrible. You were worse than Sam
- 29:35Speaker 4: Pittman in this conference.
- 29:38Speaker 3: M I mean, yeah, it's fair Big ten. Besides, give
- 29:44Speaker 3: me a team besides Ohigo State Oregon. I think Indan
- 29:47Speaker 3: is gonna beally good because they're so well coached. Man,
- 29:49Speaker 3: they're just like is I just.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Kind of the same to Hi State with the favorite
- 29:53Speaker 2: just because they are they are.
- 29:55Speaker 4: I mean, they're gonna be the betting favorite matter what.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Oregon's team is loaded.
- 29:58Speaker 2: What do you think, Oh, I'm blanking.
- 29:59Speaker 5: On Well, yeah, they have Dylan Riyola on the team.
- 30:02Speaker 4: Yes, they are. He is the backup. I mean Dante More.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Michigan should be better. They get a year two of
- 30:10Speaker 4: Bryce Underwood, he should be at least more.
- 30:12Speaker 5: What you wouldn't get it.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You would understand they.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I mean, Michigan should better with the price on. But
- 30:19Speaker 4: I tell you what ton be interesting is that Week
- 30:21Speaker 4: two game. I brought this up at Jeff Levy and
- 30:23Speaker 4: he gave me about the worst answer, Magine wulsure. He
- 30:25Speaker 4: did not want to be up there. But they play.
- 30:30Speaker 4: This is gonna be the least sexy thing we talk
- 30:31Speaker 4: about ever. You need to get docked back in here
- 30:34Speaker 4: and talk about butt injuries. Mississippi State heads some Minnesota
- 30:38Speaker 4: in Week two and it's a weekend where you have
- 30:39Speaker 4: a and m Arizona State, you have Oklahoma going to Michigan,
- 30:43Speaker 4: Ohio State coming to Texas. But Mississippi State plays Minnesota.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Everyone's gonna assume that that's going to be a big, big,
- 30:50Speaker 4: like optics wise game for the SEC. Minnesota recerns like
- 30:53Speaker 4: the seventh most production out of any team in the country,
- 30:57Speaker 4: but Missispi State has Camaro Taylor. I think there's a
- 30:59Speaker 4: few games in the country or in the conference this
- 31:01Speaker 4: year that that will say more about the strength of
- 31:04Speaker 4: the conference off to bottom for the SEC than that game.
- 31:07Speaker 4: If they win. If miss State wins, shout out Rivers.
- 31:10Speaker 4: We gotta give we gotta give missiv State some love.
- 31:12Speaker 3: We all know it's my got Jeff Levey over there.
- 31:14Speaker 3: So do you think you know what We're gonna go
- 31:18Speaker 3: to break talking about? So I'm gonna get some more
- 31:20Speaker 3: thoughts because you know what, if there's one thing we
- 31:23Speaker 3: like to do here and off the bench, just stay
- 31:24Speaker 3: on time.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I think I.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Don't like you were very passionate about and I didn't
- 31:30Speaker 3: know that was a trigger for you. So I'm glad
- 31:32Speaker 3: I brought it up.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Some good work.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Nice job, stick with us right here and off the bench.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Off the bench, all right, go to trash Rangers. Trash
- 31:41Speaker 3: rangers dot com the most reliable and the best trash
- 31:44Speaker 3: removal service in all of Louisiana. And I will put
- 31:47Speaker 3: that on anything we're talking. You've seen you've probably seen them.
- 31:51Speaker 3: They're big red dumpsters flying around Interstate Front, flying around neighborhoods.
- 31:55Speaker 3: They got commercial trash pickup that they could customize that
- 31:58Speaker 3: trash removal schedule and pick up schedule based on how
- 32:01Speaker 3: much trash you make it your business. Call them, talk
- 32:03Speaker 3: to them about your company and what you like to do.
- 32:05Speaker 3: They will customize a pickup schedule to make sure you
- 32:08Speaker 3: always have a empty dumpster there.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Residential pickup too. They are the best in the business.
- 32:13Speaker 3: If you're lucky enough to have their service where you live,
- 32:16Speaker 3: they will text you the night before, so you never
- 32:19Speaker 3: forget that. Don't get in the doghouse. I don't forget
- 32:23Speaker 3: to take the trash out because it's the worst and
- 32:25Speaker 3: you got to drive around town or the trash in
- 32:27Speaker 3: the back of your truck trying to find a dumpster
- 32:28Speaker 3: illegally dump it.
- 32:29Speaker 2: You know you've been there, We've all been there, right.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Also roll off dumpster's flat rate price in three sizes
- 32:34Speaker 3: of the choos from go to trash rangers dot com.
- 32:39Speaker 4: Well the first time is going down thing to you.

- 33:13Speaker 4: Why would I started you know all the words.
- 33:17Speaker 5: I'm confused. I thought you wanted me to start the segment.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Wow, okay, yeah, Hey, we're just gonna We're just gonna
- 33:21Speaker 2: start the segment. We get you okay with that?
- 33:23Speaker 4: I'm very excited.
- 33:25Speaker 2: You can rap if you want to, great rapper. Y'all listening?
- 33:28Speaker 3: Yeah, Normally Wednesdays is reserved for R and B, but
- 33:31Speaker 3: today Laundra had an amazing switch up to aggressive rap.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Two thousands.
- 33:35Speaker 5: Yeah, some of it's not very aggressive, but like, yeah,
- 33:39Speaker 5: some of it is. We we do love two thousands.
- 33:43Speaker 4: We did.
- 33:44Speaker 2: We broke our next, We broke our next before the
- 33:46Speaker 2: show we do get in?
- 33:47Speaker 4: That was that was great?
- 33:49Speaker 2: Yeah, unedited, that was very.
- 33:54Speaker 4: Please mister Rhymes, was my father that I'm a buster?
- 34:03Speaker 3: Oh lordy, lordy, lord all right, before we get into seven,
- 34:06Speaker 3: I will tell you about our good friends over at
- 34:09Speaker 3: Katz katy z in tears and outdoor living. Look, if
- 34:13Speaker 3: you are man, it's hot outside and you know travels
- 34:18Speaker 3: through windows too. If you are sitting there and your
- 34:20Speaker 3: house is hot and you got these barren windows, we'll
- 34:23Speaker 3: give them a call, have them out to your house.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Brandon Barton is teaing. They've been doing it for a
- 34:26Speaker 3: long time and they are the experts when it comes
- 34:29Speaker 3: to those window coverings, so they can, you know, put
- 34:32Speaker 3: the right kind of shade, drapes, curtains, whatever it is
- 34:35Speaker 3: and really at the end of the month, it's gonna
- 34:37Speaker 3: help your house be more efficient. You're gonna have a
- 34:40Speaker 3: lower bill, lower energy bill at the end of the

- 35:14Speaker 3: here's an outdoor living katizy blinds dot com. Okay, we
- 35:17Speaker 3: just talked about Big ten Media Day and Marler's long
- 35:22Speaker 3: lost friend at bill.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Let's bela without lie l I E. Actually, here's the thing.
- 35:29Speaker 4: You can I just always spell it wrong.
- 35:31Speaker 2: So okay, so you can't.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I spelled it wrong on the show yesterday.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Okay, locked on? She need to do? Uh?
- 35:37Speaker 4: Locked on?
- 35:38Speaker 2: Coys? H Does he need to do hot yoga?
- 35:41Speaker 4: I don't, does anyone he.
- 35:43Speaker 5: Needs to go to rejuven me?
- 35:44Speaker 4: He does, and he needs to do just.
- 35:48Speaker 5: As someone who does it like I don't think he
- 35:50Speaker 5: would survives.
- 35:52Speaker 2: No, not at the start and just do regular.
- 35:54Speaker 5: I did win yesterday one hundred and seven degrees in
- 35:56Speaker 5: the room.
- 35:57Speaker 4: What did it feel like? It was all.
- 36:01Speaker 2: The temperatures feelings.
- 36:03Speaker 5: The temperatures feelings were that it was too damn hot.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yeah, that is I got that.
- 36:07Speaker 2: That's the thing. I think we're checking in on weather's
- 36:11Speaker 2: feelings too much.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Agreed, Yeah, feelings, but not the wedow. Yeah, we are three.
- 36:18Speaker 2: We are in tune with our feelings. But apparently that weather.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Is say in tuned. Yep, it's in tune. I think.
- 36:24Speaker 4: So you're already come on, But how does that make
- 36:27Speaker 4: you feel?
- 36:28Speaker 2: But I said it was such confidence.
- 36:29Speaker 4: You do speak with a lot of confidence. That's not
- 36:31Speaker 4: my thing.
- 36:32Speaker 2: We do well, all right, sec media is Yeah, I
- 36:42Speaker 2: want to know that's your thing.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Brother didn't have a lot of confidence out on Tampa.
- 36:48Speaker 4: I'll tell you that.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so talk to me about it. Like, you got
- 36:51Speaker 3: some you are a guy that likes to ask questions
- 36:56Speaker 3: in the big room.
- 36:57Speaker 4: You got what I needed to do.
- 36:59Speaker 2: You got the name hand up Marlar last year for
- 37:01Speaker 2: a reason.
- 37:02Speaker 4: Now I said you better ask every coach a question.
- 37:05Speaker 2: And I was like, all right, well tell me, how
- 37:07Speaker 2: did your questions go this year?
- 37:08Speaker 4: I mean one of them went over really well, really well,
- 37:14Speaker 4: said we're best friends.
- 37:18Speaker 2: That was a cool moment, like we do need to
- 37:19Speaker 2: play that.
- 37:20Speaker 5: At some point it was, oh, I bet he has
- 37:23Speaker 5: a bookmarked so you can bookmark stuff. Stop stop it.
- 37:28Speaker 4: No, I haven't watched it since it happened. Uh so,
- 37:33Speaker 4: so No, I thought the questions were fine. You know
- 37:35Speaker 4: what was funny was I I went into this year
- 37:38Speaker 4: with like the least amount of prepared questions that I
- 37:41Speaker 4: usually have a last year. Like, I was like brainstorm
- 37:43Speaker 4: ahead of time, and I tried to you this time too,
- 37:45Speaker 4: but it was it was less uh fruitful, I guess
- 37:48Speaker 4: is the best way to put it. Any bitty And
- 37:50Speaker 4: so we're sitting there in the first day and Josh
- 37:52Speaker 4: Hipel goes up to today and I had this whole thing.
- 37:55Speaker 4: I was like, listen, everyone talks about how Tennessee's biggest
- 37:59Speaker 4: Ques Schmart is their quarterback, right, But like, if you
- 38:02Speaker 4: look at the numbers, and I've done like a nerdy
- 38:04Speaker 4: deep dive on this before, and I did another one
- 38:06Speaker 4: before many days, and it's like, if you look at
- 38:09Speaker 4: the numbers of him having a first year quarterback, the
- 38:11Speaker 4: first year starters for him, going back to when he
- 38:13Speaker 4: was the OC at Missou with Drew Locke, they're incredible.
- 38:17Speaker 4: They averaged about two hundred six two yards passing per game,
- 38:20Speaker 4: thirty one touchdowns in the year, seven interceptions. Like, they've
- 38:22Speaker 4: all been really good. The worst one statistically was Nico
- 38:25Speaker 4: iam Alieva. Nailed that name, and so I know a
- 38:29Speaker 4: lot of confidence I did. So anyway, I thought that
- 38:35Speaker 4: that would be a great question to ask. So he
- 38:36Speaker 4: gets up there and before anyone can even ask the question,
- 38:39Speaker 4: he just goes in. He goes Everyone's gonna ask about
- 38:41Speaker 4: the quarterback. Here's the thing, this is not new to us.
- 38:42Speaker 4: It's our fifth fifth time in five years having a
- 38:45Speaker 4: first year starter quarterback since we've been at Tennessee. Also,
- 38:49Speaker 4: we've had a first year starter in seven and the
- 38:51Speaker 4: last nine years that I've been a coach, we've finished
- 38:53Speaker 4: in the top ten in scoring offense in seven seven
- 38:56Speaker 4: of those nine years. I was like, dang, that's exactly
- 38:59Speaker 4: what I was. And so then as I raised my hand,
- 39:02Speaker 4: Cobble is ahead of me, Michael Cobble from w b R.
- 39:07Speaker 4: And as I have my hand raised, he goes he
- 39:10Speaker 4: asked the exact question, cause what's from the Secret sauce
- 39:12Speaker 4: about you know, your successful first year quarterbacks? I was
- 39:14Speaker 4: like this, mother, what, I'm not gonna say it, And
- 39:18Speaker 4: so then I went like this to the guy like
- 39:20Speaker 4: the moderator. I was like, hey, you know, I'm out, Yeah,
- 39:23Speaker 4: I'm out. And then next thing I know, the guy
- 39:26Speaker 4: just puts the microphone in front of me and I
- 39:27Speaker 4: was like, coach, how are you? Are you mad at me?
- 39:30Speaker 4: How are you today? Oh? Cool? So that was that
- 39:34Speaker 4: was a fun one. But I thought it was overall.
- 39:35Speaker 3: I thought it was like a really coming from a
- 39:37Speaker 3: guy that's never blanked on a question during an interview,
- 39:41Speaker 3: like I can't really relate.
- 39:42Speaker 4: No, that's fair, for sure. I appreciate you doing that
- 39:44Speaker 4: in this time of need. I thought it was. I
- 39:47Speaker 4: thought it was really good. Obviously the Beamer thing was
- 39:49Speaker 4: a highlight for me, and then but I thought there's
- 39:51Speaker 4: a lot of good info, like on on some of
- 39:53Speaker 4: the some of.
- 39:53Speaker 3: The what do you think about hypels uh kind of
- 39:55Speaker 3: the golf ball and I thought that question the inside violence.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Here's the thing I am citing. I hope LSU wins
- 40:05Speaker 4: that game by a thousand points. I do not like
- 40:08Speaker 4: Tennessee at all. I live in Baton Rouge. I hope
- 40:11Speaker 4: that this team right here wins by a million points
- 40:14Speaker 4: in that game. Tennessee fans deserve nothing but pain. They
- 40:18Speaker 4: are terrible people, especially on Twitter. But here's the thing.
- 40:23Speaker 4: If you're an LSU fan, you hired a coach who
- 40:26Speaker 4: is like the king of trash talk and needling and
- 40:29Speaker 4: talking crap on Twitter and social media, and it's hilarious,
- 40:32Speaker 4: and you think it's hilarious, right, Like, there's some things
- 40:35Speaker 4: that's like we're not gonna you know, that have been
- 40:37Speaker 4: not great, but like ninety five percent of the things
- 40:40Speaker 4: he says they are hilarious and you've wanted him to
- 40:43Speaker 4: do that and all, like all the things that come
- 40:45Speaker 4: with it. You cannot sit here and clutch pearls and
- 40:48Speaker 4: pretend that Josh Hypel is inciting violence and the takes
- 40:52Speaker 4: that people have that's unbelievable. That he would say that,
- 40:56Speaker 4: is he trying to get someone killed. No, No, he's
- 40:59Speaker 4: making a very low hanging fruit joke about something that
- 41:02Speaker 4: he and I'm sure Kiffin have joked about off air.
- 41:05Speaker 4: It was that watching that happen, I.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Was like, come on, that's comedy, baby.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Off season, that's comedy.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Man.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Now I say anything I want, get him a lot.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I'm so tired of this lib No, it was funny.
- 41:19Speaker 3: I was just happy, and that was the first thing.
- 41:21Speaker 3: I was just happy to get something right instead of
- 41:23Speaker 3: coach speak. So the first day we got some good
- 41:25Speaker 3: stuff and I liked what he said just because it
- 41:28Speaker 3: was something something to talk about, and he's not one
- 41:31Speaker 3: to usually do that. And when we say inside of violence,
- 41:33Speaker 3: we say it as a joke because obviously but somebody,
- 41:37Speaker 3: but somebody in Knoxville right.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Now is like Coach told me, I could do it.
- 41:42Speaker 4: Now that that part I will. There is probably always
- 41:43Speaker 4: one crazy that's like, I mean, it's the Harvey up
- 41:46Speaker 4: a potato gun. You imagine how somebody got stopped at
- 41:52Speaker 4: the gates with a potato gun. I didn't think they'd notice.
- 41:58Speaker 4: I mean, there is probably I do want to live
- 42:01Speaker 4: in a world where somebody gets arrested and it is
- 42:03Speaker 4: screaming at the cops. The coach told me I could
- 42:05Speaker 4: do it.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Apple told me too. I'm just listening, all right.
- 42:13Speaker 3: We are going to go to break right here, and
- 42:16Speaker 3: we are going to come back and close out our
- 42:18Speaker 3: number two and then guess well, you got a whole another.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Hour with us.

- 44:09Speaker 3: But I was sitting back looking through the socials yesterday
- 44:12Speaker 3: and just shaking my head about what like a huge
- 44:16Speaker 3: winner for this entire summer. And it has really come
- 44:19Speaker 3: to a culmination now that NFL has reported and we're
- 44:22Speaker 3: back to football. Mike Rabel, he did it. He absolutely
- 44:28Speaker 3: he did it. Power of a dog, The power of
- 44:31Speaker 3: this man has absolutely survived. I didn't think it was possible.
- 44:38Speaker 3: He brought a puppy out to make everybody forget that
- 44:42Speaker 3: he cheated on his wife and was on a boat
- 44:45Speaker 3: with a pregnant lady was not pregnant whose child is
- 44:50Speaker 3: named Michael as well?
- 44:52Speaker 4: That I forgot about that.

- 44:59Speaker 6: We were wrong, We were wrong.
- 45:02Speaker 5: Well, but I thought more stuff was going to come out.

- 45:12Speaker 5: just signed with them? With Brown? When A J. Brown

- 45:33Speaker 4: the way, J. J. McCarthy sucks, Am I right?
- 45:36Speaker 3: People got paid paid in this situation like that. I
- 45:39Speaker 3: thought it was like not a survivable situation. Here's the thing,
- 45:43Speaker 3: after the whole prank of the boat thing, I was like,
- 45:45Speaker 3: oh my god, this is after it shouldn't have been
- 45:47Speaker 3: a survivable situation.

- 45:50Speaker 4: about who his owner is. Yeah, I mean the owner
- 45:53Speaker 4: of that that organization. Yeah, somehow, but.
- 45:56Speaker 3: He's also the coach and the leader of other men
- 45:58Speaker 3: who have wives and faith families and other assistant coaches
- 46:03Speaker 3: who have wives that have to speak with and have
- 46:05Speaker 3: to be around. It was just a wild situation, but
- 46:07Speaker 3: he did it and the right the power of a dog.
- 46:09Speaker 3: This man has pulled all the stunts. He's brought a
- 46:11Speaker 3: dog to press conference. He took questions about Taylor Swift
- 46:14Speaker 3: from one of the reporters daughters and another like my
- 46:17Speaker 3: God for it, and like the reporters in Boston are like, oh,
- 46:23Speaker 3: this is so great a relatable gas.
- 46:27Speaker 4: He would never you don't know. That's right.
