- 0:24Speaker 1: Hey there.
- 0:24Speaker 1: There's so much we can learn sometimes from a story, and I found this one from a collection of Buddhist parables and I just wanted to share it with you.
- 0:38Speaker 1: A Journey to Inner Clarity from the Gardens of Samye.
- 0:45Speaker 1: A young man named Dawa lived in a small village near Samye Monastery, the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Although Dawa lived near the monastery, he always felt confused and restless.
- 1:04Speaker 1: The questions of life oppressed him and despite all his efforts, he could not see a clear path ahead.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So one day, in desperation, he set out for Samya Monastery, and there he met an old monk who worked in the gardens of the monastery.
- 1:28Speaker 1: The monk was known for his wisdom and his calm nature.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Dawa shared his worries and fears with the monk and asked him for help.
- 1:41Speaker 1: The monk smiled and led Dawa through the beautiful gardens of Samye.
- 1:49Speaker 1: He showed him the diverse plants that grew there, some in full bloom and others just beginning to grow.
- 1:59Speaker 1: You see, dawa, said the monk, every plant in this garden has its own time to grow and bloom.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It is the same with us human beings Our realizations and growth do not come all at once, but rather step by step, as a bud that opens slowly.
- 2:29Speaker 1: He led Dawa to a quiet corner of the garden where a clear spring flowed into a small pond, and the monk said your mind is like this water when it is turbulent, you cannot see clearly.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But when it is still and calm, everything becomes clear.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Dawa spent the following weeks in the garden, meditating and helping the monk tend to the plants.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Over time, his mind became calmer and his questions began to dissipate.
- 3:19Speaker 1: He understood that the path to inner clarity is not achieved by constant searching and questioning, but by quieting the mind and being patient.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Thus, dawa found his way to inner clarity in the gardens of Samye.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Noah found his way to inner clarity in the gardens of Samye and although he went back to his village, he took the garden with him in his heart, a place of peace and clarity to which he could return to in moments of confusion and doubt.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Isn't that beautiful, the power of stillness.
- 4:18Speaker 1: As the water in the spring showed us, our minds are clearest when they are still, and a mentally calm state enables us to see the world and ourselves more clearly and to better understand our problems.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I just love this simple tale, the idea of letting go of constant searching.
- 4:49Speaker 1: We all know that feeling right, but it's a great reminder Sometimes it's better to leave questions unanswered and to allow for the answers to arrive, to come on their own.
- 5:03Speaker 1: This, of course, requires trust, patience and serenity, and serenity.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I hope that you found this little tale resonated, as it did with me, and I'm so happy to share it with you.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Deep breath, my friends.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Calm those waters.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Patience, trust, trust, namaste.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I'm Lisa Hopkins.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Thanks so much for listening.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Stay safe and healthy, everyone, and remember to live in the moment.
