- 15:06Speaker 1: bosses at Tequila about what I asked you want?
- 15:08Speaker 6: I did, But I'll let you know.
- 15:11Speaker 1: You see that's a that's a price that you understand.
- 15:15Speaker 3: That's a polite note.
- 15:16Speaker 1: All I want. All I wanted was a two night
- 15:18Speaker 1: state plus at two nights at two night State Aquila,
- 15:22Speaker 1: and and that's all that's not a lot, you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: all all I wanted and a big five you know
- 15:26Speaker 1: experience too. It was a small thing to ask, pretty reasonable,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you understand what I'm saying. At this rate, I have
- 15:31Speaker 1: a better luck getting tequila than aquila, and that is
- 15:35Speaker 1: just it's sad, but it's fine now, I'm kidding y.
- 15:38Speaker 1: It's been amazing having you and we just have to
- 15:41Speaker 1: feed you now and send you home. But I rehope
- 15:43Speaker 1: it is a very very good experience. Would you like
- 15:44Speaker 1: to be picked up again?
- 15:46Speaker 6: Yes, definitely tomorrow morning.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Okay, well we'll well, we'll sort that out logistically, beats
- 15:52Speaker 1: will collapse, but but it's it's all good. It's been
- 15:55Speaker 1: a lovely time, it really has. And thank you for
- 15:57Speaker 1: joining us. If we wonder where we are, we just
- 15:58Speaker 1: we're just waiting for some chow with the Royal Countess Zingara.
- 16:01Speaker 1: That is in a century city slash side of Canal Walk.
- 16:05Speaker 1: If you're in the area and you feel like d
- 16:06Speaker 1: touring the salo, We're going to be here for a
- 16:08Speaker 1: little spell and then we off again. We're in a
- 16:11Speaker 1: city side seeing tour bus. We according at the carpool today.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Brought to you by k from ninety four point five.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Now for any other buses and vehicles on your road,
- 16:19Speaker 1: do you have any details you'd like to share, Cassidy
- 16:21Speaker 1: about what you see, not only here in this parking lot,
- 16:24Speaker 1: but just out there. It is d n CE. It's
- 16:28Speaker 1: called cake by the Ocean. It's actually cake on the bus.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That's what it is. Today we're in a city sight
- 16:33Speaker 1: seeing tour bus and we hear part of carpool. We
- 16:36Speaker 1: picked up a bunch of people who have been working
- 16:38Speaker 1: very hard today. One of them is alongside me, and
- 16:41Speaker 1: this lovely lady works for I and Jay. You may
- 16:44Speaker 1: have heard it this morning a little bit, perhaps maybe
- 16:47Speaker 1: in the background when I was chatting to Mitch this morning,
- 16:49Speaker 1: were standing in for for Darren. But I just wanted
- 16:52Speaker 1: to chat to this lovely lady once again. So at work,
- 16:57Speaker 1: when people saw that you were dropped off by me,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you obviously work for IRONJ. Did anybody think that something
- 17:02Speaker 1: of fishy is going on?
- 17:04Speaker 3: No, not at all, because you see call.
- 17:06Speaker 8: We are such dedicated people at work for Iron J
- 17:09Speaker 8: that they didn't even notice that there was a red
- 17:11Speaker 8: bus outside. So I'm so sorry, really, but I made.
- 17:15Speaker 3: It very clear.
- 17:17Speaker 8: Told everyone send an email out so everyone is well aware.
- 17:22Speaker 1: You know, what's very fascinating this morning is access to
- 17:25Speaker 1: your building. Yes, it is very very interesting. I have
- 17:30Speaker 1: never seen that before. To be honest with you, would
- 17:32Speaker 1: you like to detail to our friendly listener who listens
- 17:35Speaker 1: to K from mainety four point five the manner in
- 17:37Speaker 1: which you enter your building.
- 17:39Speaker 3: It's an alcohol test.
- 17:42Speaker 8: So every day we have to blow through this test,
- 17:47Speaker 8: and if you've had a little bit too much the
- 17:50Speaker 8: night before the day before, then it will tell you
- 17:53Speaker 8: that access denied. But if you're safe, like most of
- 17:59Speaker 8: us are, yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 1: You go through.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Why would that be an issue just for those who
- 18:03Speaker 3: don't know, just because just a safety precautions? You know, okay, is.
- 18:10Speaker 1: There a factory in there? So there's no factory. So
- 18:14Speaker 1: is that an admirableon that you walked into. We had
- 18:16Speaker 1: to to blow to enter the workshops.
- 18:18Speaker 3: We also have our workshops.
- 18:20Speaker 1: That makes sense because if you've got machinery, you don't
- 18:23Speaker 1: want to do that. I don't know why. So many
- 18:25Speaker 1: other fields I believe should have a breathalyzer at the door.
- 18:29Speaker 1: So many other fields, you understand what I'm saying. I
- 18:31Speaker 1: have no idea why K from ninety four point five
- 18:34Speaker 1: because obviously work in the entertainment is. I was amazed.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I was because the thing is, it was very strange too,
- 18:41Speaker 1: because I thought it was your birthday. You blew that
- 18:43Speaker 1: thing like you're blowing up candles.
- 18:44Speaker 3: I just you were just loot the candles, like just
- 18:48Speaker 3: keep on blowing.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Did you just say fifty? I didn't say fifty, but
- 18:52Speaker 1: you did. You did, Honey, I was gonna say you're
- 18:55Speaker 1: twenty one candles. Come on, No, but we are. We're
- 18:58Speaker 1: so happy to have you, and thanks aar for being
- 18:59Speaker 1: a great sport this morning. And what was the like
- 19:02Speaker 1: the response to your boss when hearing that you were
- 19:04Speaker 1: going to be dropped off? Very excited, very excited.
- 19:07Speaker 3: So maybe next time you can take.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Him with Yeah, do you know where your boss lives?
- 19:14Speaker 8: Well, at the moment, it's all over he's at Manas.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Actually at Manas. That makes a lot of sense, you see,
- 19:20Speaker 1: it's close to the coast iron j Whales fish got you.
- 19:24Speaker 1: That makes sense. But thanks a lot for joining us. Honestly,
- 19:26Speaker 1: it's been it's been lovely having you. At the moment,
- 19:29Speaker 1: we are just we're standing by because we do we
- 19:32Speaker 1: are waiting for food because we have McDonald's coming. So
- 19:35Speaker 1: I just want to make sure you are going to
- 19:37Speaker 1: be fed today, which is very very good. Talking about
- 19:39Speaker 1: being fed, we did request all of us on the
- 19:41Speaker 1: bus frozen delights from Iron j. There were even you
- 19:45Speaker 1: have the new air fryer meals. Now, So what happened
- 19:48Speaker 1: at work?
- 19:49Speaker 3: List on the lift? Sorry you saw it there.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I did see it on your lifts here, but I
- 19:53Speaker 1: don't see it in your bags. What's happening.
- 19:54Speaker 3: No, that's you know, I left it at work.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm so sorry the problem.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I know they did. I'll send it tomorrow, thank
- 20:03Speaker 3: you tomorrow.
- 20:05Speaker 1: No, that's fine, that's fine, that's okay. I'm going to
- 20:08Speaker 1: go to my local. It's okay. That's it, but none
- 20:10Speaker 1: of the three. Thank you for joining us. And then
- 20:12Speaker 1: to everybody who's been just working very hard today. You
- 20:16Speaker 1: will be rewarded, you know, with a lift home. At
- 20:18Speaker 1: the moment, we just building anticipation. We're actually waiting for
- 20:20Speaker 1: enough traffic to hit the N one before we return
- 20:23Speaker 1: to the N one. That's actually the strategy. So if
- 20:25Speaker 1: you're wondering where we are today, we are just on
- 20:27Speaker 1: the road again, taking you home a little faster than normal.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Imagine we're actually just taking a slow drive to people's
- 20:34Speaker 1: homes dropping them off again, because the whole premise of
- 20:36Speaker 1: this entire carpool thing was to make sure that if
- 20:38Speaker 1: you are somebody who spends thousands and thousands of months
- 20:42Speaker 1: on petrol and diesel, just one day off is great
- 20:45Speaker 1: and that's where we wanted to afford you SKFM ninety
- 20:47Speaker 1: four point five alleviate some of the pressure, which is
- 20:50Speaker 1: very important. So thank you very much for joining. And
- 20:52Speaker 1: remember in this show, everybody is supposed to be here,
- 20:55Speaker 1: but for Deborah Cox, nobody it is Debrakcocks. Nobody's supposed
- 21:02Speaker 1: to be Oh waits. People are supposed to be a
- 21:04Speaker 1: welcome to the bus. Sorry, people have just arrived off
- 21:06Speaker 1: their long workday. Hi, just interviewing them just in time.
- 21:10Speaker 1: How was your workday?
- 21:11Speaker 3: It was amazing?

- 22:13Speaker 1: them from work. Now, this is wonderful. We're gonna get
- 22:15Speaker 1: moving soon. But before we get there, traffic, how is
- 22:18Speaker 1: that moving? It's more to you about ausurance SMS out
- 22:20Speaker 1: to three zero six zero five now and you could
- 22:22Speaker 1: save on your co insurance if you don't ask them
- 22:25Speaker 1: for five hundred grand. How are we looking? I just
- 22:29Speaker 1: might is Bruno Mars and it's on your show The
- 22:31Speaker 1: Flash Driving KFM ninety four point five. We're on the
- 22:33Speaker 1: city site seeing to a bus. It's called carpool. Today
- 22:36Speaker 1: we're getting people to work in the best possible way
- 22:39Speaker 1: we can. And I think that's why we just be
- 22:42Speaker 1: as chilling man and I said, like, I'm gonna, you know,
- 22:44Speaker 1: invite some lovely people onto the bus very very quickly.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And that's why I just wanted them to. So just
- 22:51Speaker 1: come through onto the bus and meet my people. So
- 22:54Speaker 1: just just for a quick chat, as we always do.

- 23:08Speaker 1: city site, saying to a bus. There we go. I'm sorry,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I just I'm blindsided with all these people, you know,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I'm sorry. How are you feeling?
- 23:17Speaker 6: I really needed a left home man.
- 23:18Speaker 1: You know, don't worry.
- 23:20Speaker 3: We've got your back.

- 23:32Speaker 1: This is your You need to honestly, you need to
- 23:34Speaker 1: come through. It's the best way to see your city.
- 23:36Speaker 1: So don't worry. I'm gonna cook you up. I know
- 23:38Speaker 1: some people here, so we're gonna hook up. Jimmy Nevis

- 23:43Speaker 1: It goes. We should do a tour just for you

- 23:48Speaker 1: be great. Right, So I know that you are You
- 23:52Speaker 1: are here for one reason, to surprise my people. But
- 23:54Speaker 1: what they don't know is that immediately you were involved
- 23:58Speaker 1: in a press conference. We have questions from our audience
- 24:00Speaker 1: of a Cassidy who's asking the first question of Jimmy
- 24:03Speaker 1: nervis as he just walks into the city side seeing
- 24:06Speaker 1: get yourself, my.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Friend, it's my first victim.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Hello, there we go.
- 24:11Speaker 4: I don't want you to feel pressurized, right, I want
- 24:15Speaker 4: you to think of it as the questions no one
- 24:19Speaker 4: ever asks Jimmy, you know, like what's your star signed?
- 24:23Speaker 3: Like people care about these things.
- 24:25Speaker 4: I mean, oh dear right, So don't put pressure on yourself.
- 24:29Speaker 4: It's not about the political climates, it's not what we
- 24:31Speaker 4: care about. What's his favorite meal? Something like that? Okay,
- 24:35Speaker 4: you set this up so so much. Now, Jesse is like,
- 24:38Speaker 4: what do I ask now what, Yes, I.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Love your music.
- 24:43Speaker 6: Let's just start.
- 24:47Speaker 3: What high school did you go through?
- 24:49Speaker 1: I know, I know?
- 24:53Speaker 3: No, No, okay, he's literally has a guest.
- 24:57Speaker 9: The best school in Cape Town, of course, at the
- 25:00Speaker 9: school that call and I both went to.
- 25:02Speaker 3: And my mom and my mom.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Literally no, her mom went to the same school.
- 25:10Speaker 6: What okay, pylons school.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Okay, you don't see them as impressed as I usually get.
- 25:17Speaker 1: What's happening there? What happened to our school? Junior?
- 25:22Speaker 4: What?
- 25:22Speaker 1: What? What school did you go to? Jesse?
- 25:24Speaker 7: I went to Excelcia Excels your senior secondary in Balor.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I know that one that is that is actually an
- 25:30Speaker 1: incredible school and great athletes seven four six nine seven
- 25:34Speaker 1: four six nine seven seven six four. Oh, my word,
- 25:36Speaker 1: and you what's yours?
- 25:37Speaker 3: I can't say any of those words are so many?
- 25:39Speaker 1: Essa's second? Okay, next question? So is asking? Next question?
- 25:46Speaker 1: Just take anyway, go for it. Oh, this is so
- 25:48Speaker 1: much fun. Christ conference. You've got Crystal. They let them
- 25:51Speaker 1: know your next move.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Crystal, what are you dying to ask for me?
- 25:56Speaker 1: Are you married? I straight to the point.
- 26:01Speaker 9: I'm sorry, Jimmy, just someone has to ask the odd questions. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:06Speaker 9: Now I am single, I'm not married.
- 26:10Speaker 1: And.
- 26:13Speaker 6: I do.
- 26:17Speaker 9: To mingle always, especially on this bus.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Apparently, Jimmy, why Wood, you're the tender buss is comings.
- 26:31Speaker 1: This is very good. By the way, that's actually a
- 26:35Speaker 1: very good idea for city side seeing. Can you imagine
- 26:37Speaker 1: that tender buss city side seeing the dating bus. That's
- 26:41Speaker 1: that's a brilliant idea.
- 26:43Speaker 9: That's like the next level of everything that's dating that's
- 26:45Speaker 9: happening in the city. No one's doing that while in TRANSSOS.
- 26:50Speaker 4: Another brain part is turning into a campaign as we speak.
- 26:53Speaker 1: You know, my mind is going it's gonna be such
- 26:55Speaker 1: a good campaign. I can't wait. Okay, who's okay? Another
- 26:57Speaker 1: final question before we get onto US news and some
- 27:00Speaker 1: sport on the flash driving k from that four point five?
- 27:03Speaker 4: Okay, yes, it's the final it's the final question.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Okay, whatever you want marriage.
- 27:17Speaker 8: Probably I'm gonna ask what's your day job?
- 27:26Speaker 4: My mouth is dry in this week?
- 27:31Speaker 3: Okay, ree phrase. What's your favorite song?
- 27:39Speaker 1: This is good?
- 27:40Speaker 9: Yeah, sit down, call my favorite my favorite song at
- 27:43Speaker 9: the moment.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Yeah, well, at the moment and all time.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Okay, my favorite song at the moment.
- 27:54Speaker 9: I think there's anything by Bluno Mars because I'm going
- 27:56Speaker 9: to see him live in June. I'm just bragging a
- 28:01Speaker 9: little bit, you know. Yeah, and then I think of
- 28:05Speaker 9: all time.
- 28:08Speaker 3: No pressure.
- 28:09Speaker 9: Oh yeah, I think I'm gonna go with You know,
- 28:12Speaker 9: I don't know if anyone's gonna relate, but you know,
- 28:15Speaker 9: some some breaking free from high school musical. It's just
- 28:18Speaker 9: my go to kadaoke song.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yes, you sounded so good as Jimmy Nevers, not Cassidy
- 28:29Speaker 1: can you imagine that?
- 28:30Speaker 6: And National Gabrielle.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I not Singapore, not at all, not at all all right,
- 28:38Speaker 1: Well makes a noise. Jimmy Nevis is here to stay
- 28:40Speaker 1: for the next couple of minutes. He's got a brand
- 28:42Speaker 1: new song out that everybody needs to listen to, especially
- 28:45Speaker 1: you ladies, and will chat about it in the next
- 28:47Speaker 1: couple of seconds. If you're wondering why we sound so
- 28:49Speaker 1: liquid today, well you can be bus today. We are
- 28:51Speaker 1: on a bus, said he started seeing to a bus
- 28:53Speaker 1: the carpool. We are perched at the Royal Countess Zingara
- 28:57Speaker 1: parking lot to not only showcase an incredible song by
- 29:00Speaker 1: Jimmy Nevers, but also to get some people home eventually.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Nobody needs to be home at a particular time. I
- 29:06Speaker 1: know some people mentioned four pm too late, so we're
- 29:10Speaker 1: going to keep on going. But this is your flash
- 29:11Speaker 1: drive in KFM ninety four point five. Stick around here,
- 29:14Speaker 1: some news and sport. It is Sketchy Bongo and Jimmy
- 29:19Speaker 1: Nevis No getting over you. I had to play that
- 29:22Speaker 1: song as an intro to the fact that Jimmy never
- 29:23Speaker 1: surprised us on the bus. And if you wonder what's happening,
- 29:27Speaker 1: I'm just hearing people say spicy, ETCeteras because we just
- 29:30Speaker 1: got to drop off from McDonald's. They just dropped off
- 29:33Speaker 1: the only that for me. Thank you so much McDonald's
- 29:36Speaker 1: for feeding using callpool on the flash drive k ninety
- 29:40Speaker 1: four point five. And honestly, it's so so wonderful to
- 29:44Speaker 1: have you along for the ride as well as you
- 29:46Speaker 1: always are, but in this way we're actually taking people
- 29:47Speaker 1: home today. Jimmy Nevis surprised us all on the bus.
- 29:51Speaker 1: And the thing is, I actually been wanting to tie
- 29:54Speaker 1: you down for ages because last week there were two
- 29:56Speaker 1: opportunities to get you into studio. We didn't catch you.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Now I'm going to literally come to you. I literally
- 30:01Speaker 1: came to you with this.
- 30:02Speaker 9: I got picked up outside of my place and threw
- 30:06Speaker 9: it to this bus of amazing people and now I'm
- 30:08Speaker 9: getting free McDonald's.
- 30:09Speaker 6: I mean, this is like, this is the life.
- 30:11Speaker 1: This is what we want to give you. But for
- 30:13Speaker 1: providing us with songs that have deep purpose and a
- 30:16Speaker 1: great message and this. I heard a snip of the
- 30:19Speaker 1: song around November last year, I think it was, and
- 30:22Speaker 1: I played it on Saturday, and the response to it
- 30:26Speaker 1: was so it was so deep in heart felt and
- 30:28Speaker 1: people could feel the song and I needed to ask
- 30:31Speaker 1: about the trackled Prey. Yes, it is a song that's
- 30:35Speaker 1: deeply steeped in gbv okay and that movement to make
- 30:40Speaker 1: sure that it's it's eradicated from society. Often this message
- 30:44Speaker 1: is always around sixteen days of activism. But you dropped
- 30:48Speaker 1: this now and I feel like it was intentional. It
- 30:51Speaker 1: was right to actually do it right now. The story
- 30:54Speaker 1: behind the song, Why was this important for you to
- 30:56Speaker 1: get into and write about, Well.
- 30:58Speaker 9: I think youth and nail on the head, Like I
- 31:00Speaker 9: think we're living in a time where there's so many
- 31:03Speaker 9: issues and there's so many things happening in the world,
- 31:06Speaker 9: and it's hard for us to protect our peace. And
- 31:09Speaker 9: you know, just as we're getting over one thing, another
- 31:12Speaker 9: thing happens. And I think when it comes to gender
- 31:15Speaker 9: based violence, you know, when when the media makes some noise.
- 31:19Speaker 6: About it, everybody is behind it.
- 31:21Speaker 9: But what about the rest of the year, you know,
- 31:23Speaker 9: because we may be able to move forward, but these
- 31:26Speaker 9: things are happening every single day to our neighbors, to
- 31:28Speaker 9: our sisters, to the people in our streets, in our neighborhoods.
- 31:33Speaker 9: And so for me, putting the song out was a
- 31:37Speaker 9: tribute to the women in my life. It was a
- 31:39Speaker 9: tribute to my female friends, to my sister, to my mother,
- 31:44Speaker 9: and to the women of South Africa. You know, I
- 31:46Speaker 9: think we have become so immune and so used to
- 31:52Speaker 9: the headlines, and there's so many things that we do
- 31:56Speaker 9: on the daily that has just become such a normal,
- 32:00Speaker 9: you know, whether it's you know, making sure that your
- 32:02Speaker 9: friends get on safe when they take that uber, whether
- 32:06Speaker 9: it's just like skimming through different headlines on your phone
- 32:10Speaker 9: or different posts. And so this song for me is
- 32:14Speaker 9: to try and keep this important topic top of mind. Yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 9: at the end of last year, I was very inspired
- 32:21Speaker 9: by the protests led by Women for Change, Uh, you know,
- 32:25Speaker 9: the ones where we were all laying down on the
- 32:27Speaker 9: ground and so yeah, that's when I put out a
- 32:30Speaker 9: snippet of the song for the first time and it
- 32:32Speaker 9: was received quite well, and I thought, Okay, cool, I
- 32:34Speaker 9: really want to evolve this into a proper song. And
- 32:38Speaker 9: I think for me, I think visually I was. I
- 32:40Speaker 9: was very inspired. I felt like, there's so many stories.
- 32:43Speaker 9: There's so many Uh, there's so many things that that
- 32:46Speaker 9: for under GBV. You know, you have outside of rape,
- 32:49Speaker 9: you have domestic violence, you have femicide. Yes, And so
- 32:53Speaker 9: for the music video, we decided to focus a lot
- 32:55Speaker 9: on femicide because it's.
- 32:58Speaker 6: For me that's urgent.
- 33:01Speaker 9: And yeah, in the music video, we really we try
- 33:05Speaker 9: and keep the message and I think the story of
- 33:10Speaker 9: these women alive, you.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Know, I know you said, I said, like, you know,
- 33:14Speaker 1: I wanted to bring here to talk about the song,
- 33:16Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, I'm not. I'm not sure if
- 33:17Speaker 1: it's the best context for it, And I told you
- 33:20Speaker 1: it is because there are many people who commute on
- 33:23Speaker 1: buses just like this. There are people who are in
- 33:25Speaker 1: traffic at the moment, and it seems to be so
- 33:28Speaker 1: far in the back of minds because you know, I
- 33:31Speaker 1: think maybe it's just easier not to talk about it sometimes.
- 33:34Speaker 1: And I think this is a great song that's quite
- 33:36Speaker 1: confronting because I think that you used the ambiguity of
- 33:39Speaker 1: the word pray because at the same time we're praying
- 33:42Speaker 1: for this to stop, because people are being prayed on.
- 33:46Speaker 1: And I think that's was the genius in the song.
- 33:49Speaker 1: But it is the message that I know we're in
- 33:51Speaker 1: a bus but we need to start making sure we
- 33:53Speaker 1: talk about it and take it very very seriously and
- 33:56Speaker 1: not shy away from it as well, because it's going
- 33:57Speaker 1: to tell you when you have a conversation of there's
- 34:00Speaker 1: somebody that steps up and says, I couldn't talk about
- 34:03Speaker 1: this until I heard somebody else talk about this, and
- 34:06Speaker 1: this is happening to me. And I think this is
- 34:08Speaker 1: the power of your song.
- 34:09Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 6: And I think also just put it to love beyond
- 34:12Speaker 6: the protest.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 9: I think this is something if we say it's happening
- 34:15Speaker 9: every single day to women every single day, it's a
- 34:18Speaker 9: conversation we should be having more than once a year.
- 34:21Speaker 6: Very true, and I think.
- 34:21Speaker 9: That at the same time, I also want to say
- 34:24Speaker 9: I understand I also live in this country. We have
- 34:27Speaker 9: so many things that we're trying to look out for
- 34:29Speaker 9: the world. It seems like it's falling apart, and you
- 34:32Speaker 9: just you don't have capacity. You're trying to get to
- 34:34Speaker 9: work on time, You're trying to live your happy life,
- 34:36Speaker 9: look after your family. But I think now more than ever,
- 34:39Speaker 9: we need to make space for those who don't have
- 34:41Speaker 9: a voice, and for those who don't have the same
- 34:43Speaker 9: luxury or resources or you know, and really to kind
- 34:47Speaker 9: of just have more empathy. I think that's my main
- 34:52Speaker 9: takeaway during this time. And you know, yes, the song's
- 34:55Speaker 9: about GBV, but in general, I think we can all
- 34:57Speaker 9: be a bit kinder to each other, and I think
- 34:59Speaker 9: we can make space for things that are just not
- 35:02Speaker 9: directly that we're not always directly affected by it, because
- 35:05Speaker 9: it's happening all around us.
- 35:08Speaker 1: You know, negativity prays upon us, and we need to
- 35:11Speaker 1: pray for positivity always and I think that's the beauty
- 35:15Speaker 1: of this particular song, and I think everyone needs to
- 35:17Speaker 1: hear this as well. So just I mean, moving forward,
- 35:20Speaker 1: I know that this is going to be very important
- 35:21Speaker 1: no matter where, and I'm glad you dropped it at
- 35:23Speaker 1: this time because there's no there's no premise in terms
- 35:26Speaker 1: of the calendar, and we don't need the calendar for premise,
- 35:28Speaker 1: for sure. All we need is an opportunity, a large
- 35:31Speaker 1: bus with interested people who care as much as we do,
- 35:34Speaker 1: and we have a moment. And I think that's what
- 35:37Speaker 1: we need to do. We need more moments, and that
- 35:39Speaker 1: is not our I'm not going to call that activism.
- 35:42Speaker 1: I think that's just general.
- 35:44Speaker 9: It's not radical humanity ask for people to feel safe
- 35:47Speaker 9: in their own homes and their own bodies, you know.
- 35:51Speaker 9: But even just to add to that, you know, I
- 35:54Speaker 9: think people often just put me in an entertainment space.
- 35:56Speaker 9: But it's been such a joy to bring this conversation
- 35:59Speaker 9: to the stage. I was at Cape Town Jazz Fest
- 36:02Speaker 9: of All recently and it was an amazing performance. But
- 36:05Speaker 9: for me, it was even more special that we could
- 36:08Speaker 9: bring not only escapism for people, but bring the reality.
- 36:13Speaker 9: And those two things can both be and exist in
- 36:15Speaker 9: the same space at the same time. They should, because
- 36:17Speaker 9: I think that's what life is. I think that we
- 36:19Speaker 9: can have joyful moments, we can have painful moments, but
- 36:22Speaker 9: it's like how do we deal with them? And so
- 36:24Speaker 9: this song is my contribution to the conversation, and hopefully it,
- 36:29Speaker 9: you know, creates more dialogue even just for somebody listening
- 36:33Speaker 9: to it, I feel like they get to interact with
- 36:34Speaker 9: it in a different way and maybe the conversation can
- 36:38Speaker 9: feel a little less intimidating for some of those out there.
- 36:41Speaker 1: And that's exactly what the song's about to do on
- 36:42Speaker 1: the flash drive and while we're doing this carpool on
- 36:45Speaker 1: city side seeings bus and I can you know, just
- 36:48Speaker 1: I can be with you literally in the bus chatting
- 36:50Speaker 1: about it with all these amazing people. I think what
- 36:52Speaker 1: we've done here is great at a moment, and we've
- 36:55Speaker 1: literally without any of that sort of punny. We're getting
- 37:01Speaker 1: the message moving in a bus today and that's what
- 37:04Speaker 1: we need. We need more people to get on absolutely
- 37:06Speaker 1: and listen to it.
- 37:07Speaker 6: That's say love it.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Thanks all for joining us today.
- 37:10Speaker 6: Jimmy, honestly, thank you for my McDonald's.
- 37:12Speaker 1: You're worst welcome. You can eat it now. But you
- 37:15Speaker 1: know what, we have a live audience minus. Can you
- 37:17Speaker 1: just make some noise for this man. It's Jemmy Nevis
- 37:19Speaker 1: love this guy.
- 37:20Speaker 9: Thank you, thank you, thank you, and shout out to
- 37:23Speaker 9: you guys for just being all cool up here on
- 37:26Speaker 9: your high horse looking down on everybody as you as
- 37:30Speaker 9: you travel through traffic.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Oh no, thank.
- 37:33Speaker 9: You so much and thanks for having me, and I'm
- 37:35Speaker 9: thank you for being so kind to me as well,
- 37:37Speaker 9: and please have an amazing afternoon.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Further, guys, we will. We've got traffic now. But before
- 37:43Speaker 1: we get traffic, what we do have is this amazing
- 37:46Speaker 1: song here is Pray. It's Jimmy Nevis. It is Jimmy Nevis.
- 37:52Speaker 1: It's called Pray, a brand new track and inspired, powerful, inspirational,
- 37:58Speaker 1: providing such great wisdom and such great comfort all in
- 38:02Speaker 1: one song. And that's what music can do. Mass thanks
- 38:05Speaker 1: Jimmy Nevis for joining us on the bus the carpool.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I brought you by city side seeing I'm taking some
- 38:10Speaker 1: people home and we're about to leave and join you
- 38:13Speaker 1: on the N one. We were at the Royal Countess
- 38:15Speaker 1: Zingara parking lot and the other thing we need to do.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I just realized, as Cassidy is, wait before I get there,
- 38:22Speaker 1: what do you think that song? Beautiful? How beautiful?
- 38:24Speaker 3: It was stunning?
- 38:25Speaker 4: Hey, she went and sat aside and I just needed
- 38:28Speaker 4: a moment to listen to it.
- 38:29Speaker 1: It is just oh man, and thank you to Jimmy.
- 38:32Speaker 1: We literally have to pick him up from his house. Yeah,
- 38:34Speaker 1: to get him on the bus, but I think he was,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you know, I think he was kind of thinking like, hey,
- 38:38Speaker 1: is this the right context for this conversation? But is
- 38:41Speaker 1: there ever a right context to have a conversation that important?
- 38:44Speaker 1: Have it everywhere?
- 38:45Speaker 4: Honestly, it's a it's a conversation for all the time
- 38:49Speaker 4: because we're so desensitized for it. So it's like, no,
- 38:51Speaker 4: get sensitive actually because it is a it's a real
- 38:54Speaker 4: thing that that woman not facing every single day, right,
- 38:58Speaker 4: So if it may makes you uncomfortable, good it should.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Yes, because that's going to make you uncomfortable enough to
- 39:05Speaker 1: get yourself into action exactly and actually feel more conversations
- 39:09Speaker 1: about it. More importantly, act and protect the woman of
- 39:13Speaker 1: South Africa at all costs. That's the most important thing,
- 39:16Speaker 1: do you. Yeah, that's it. So Jimmy Nevis, thanks a lot.
- 39:19Speaker 1: What a beautiful, powerful track. In the next couple of montes,
- 39:22Speaker 1: keep your phone on because the call is back today
- 39:24Speaker 1: on the flash drive in k IF ninety four point five.
- 39:27Speaker 1: That might be while we are on the end one
- 39:29Speaker 1: we have to pick one of these individuals behind us.
- 39:32Speaker 1: So whoever you haven't got two friend mewers, we're going
- 39:35Speaker 1: to pick otherwise, they might pick you a song. Okay,
- 39:38Speaker 1: you understand what I mean. If you got friendly with everybody.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Everybody, I'm very charismatic.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I can tell it's like that. Yeah, it's fine. In fact, yeah,
- 39:46Speaker 1: we'll decide on the call in the next couple of
- 39:48Speaker 1: moments that you're flash drive live from a city side
- 39:50Speaker 1: seeing bus. It's carpool. We're taking people home and giving
- 39:53Speaker 1: them a day off using their own petrol and diesel.
- 39:55Speaker 1: For it is Tyler Chanel on the flash drive in
- 39:59Speaker 1: KFM ninety four point five. We've just collected another individual
- 40:03Speaker 1: from our lovely party bus, our call pool. We'll be
- 40:07Speaker 1: home soon. Everybody on the bus, very very soon. Your
- 40:11Speaker 1: seats are important to us, please hold. That's it. In
- 40:14Speaker 1: one cities where we are, we picked up another person
- 40:16Speaker 1: and we're going to keep on moving as often as
- 40:19Speaker 1: we can, just to make sure that you and the
- 40:20Speaker 1: know what's happening. This is our first thing, that's our
- 40:24Speaker 1: pilot of this concept, to make sure that we get
- 40:26Speaker 1: you from your home, get you to work. You know what,
- 40:31Speaker 1: If it's on time, great, if not, you know what,
- 40:34Speaker 1: it's lovely. That's all we think about. And then getting
- 40:36Speaker 1: you back home again because the thing is you need
- 40:38Speaker 1: a day off of your petrol use and your diesel use.
- 40:41Speaker 1: That is what we're going to do for USK from
- 40:42Speaker 1: ninety four point five from the flash Drive and KFM
- 40:44Speaker 1: ninety four point five. Okay, that's what we're gonna do.
- 40:47Speaker 1: You know what what we need now is a whole
- 40:49Speaker 1: bus full of people listening to two challenges go head
- 40:52Speaker 1: to head and something called the flash Word. It is
- 40:55Speaker 1: a game not for the faint of heart. It's for
- 40:58Speaker 1: only people who can have the challenge, the people who
- 41:00Speaker 1: are really ready to go. And while I did consider
- 41:03Speaker 1: choosing one of these individuals on the bus to play
- 41:06Speaker 1: the flash Word, we will play our individual flash word.
- 41:09Speaker 1: But there is something that is for you, which is Sheldon,
- 41:12Speaker 1: our Flashwood champion and of course a challenger that has
- 41:15Speaker 1: stepped forward and with a virtual hand, they're about to
- 41:18Speaker 1: make the showdown happen. It is the flash Word on
- 41:21Speaker 1: the flash Drive and KFM ninety four point five. Let's
- 41:23Speaker 1: play the flash.
- 41:25Speaker 2: World on GM ninety four point five.
- 41:29Speaker 1: All right, Sheldon, You've got a new contender for the
- 41:31Speaker 1: flash Word today. Somebody who is a settlement and recon clerk.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Please welcome Jody Lee Zebra. Please tell me about the
- 41:43Speaker 1: surname and how it's been having a surname as unique
- 41:46Speaker 1: as yours.
- 41:49Speaker 5: It's been quite a challenge and the ground up. You know,
- 41:52Speaker 5: there was always keeps to teach me. But now I'm
- 41:54Speaker 5: embracing my my surname. I mean, the zebra print is
- 41:58Speaker 5: in fashion.
- 41:59Speaker 1: So I got you. I understand. You must have gone
- 42:03Speaker 1: through a lot, but you've earned your stripes and you

- 42:10Speaker 1: you know, you can't you can't get crossed anymore, just
- 42:13Speaker 1: get crossing and.
- 42:15Speaker 5: I don't know, basically I don't get crossed anymore.
- 42:18Speaker 1: No, No, this is very very very good. And also
- 42:20Speaker 1: some of my favorite characters, like I think Marty is
- 42:24Speaker 1: a zebra that yeah, and an investing so like there's

- 46:00Speaker 1: Just something that I wanted to do with you, and
- 46:03Speaker 1: it's it's been happening today. I met some incredible people.

- 46:17Speaker 1: that a little bit of a little bit of like kindness,

- 46:25Speaker 1: being realized. I'm actually very happy, as I said here,

- 46:47Speaker 3: What an act?
- 46:49Speaker 1: No, you're not entertained, sorry, just quotes. You can do
- 46:54Speaker 1: a couple of quotes from that movie as well. You

- 47:00Speaker 4: My name is Matt And no, no, that's that's a
