- 0:00Welcome to the Urantia Radio Podcast.
- 0:02My name is Jim Watkins, longtime reader and student of the 5th
- 0:05Epical Revelation. And on this episode we're going
- 0:08to talk about force. We're going to talk about power
- 0:12and space and all kinds of interesting and fascinating
- 0:16topics that are coming to light, no pun intended, with regards to
- 0:21contemporary science and how it interplays with Urantia
- 0:25revelation. So we're going to get to a lot
- 0:28of interesting information and I hope you'll hang out with me and
- 0:32enjoy the ride as we continue with the Rancho Radio Podcast.
- 1:00Welcome to the Rancho Radio Podcast.
- 1:03And I do mean that when I mean welcome.
- 1:05I am so humbled by the wonderful feedback that I get from people
- 1:09who check out the podcast and some of the people that have
- 1:12been listening to a long time. And I always get these
- 1:15incredible questions and comments from listeners and I
- 1:18may try to find a way to share some of them here.
- 1:21But I want to talk about what's happening in space right now.
- 1:24And then I also want to talk about what's happening here on
- 1:27the planet and some other thoughts that I have to share
- 1:31about the process of death. And death is is always a
- 1:37complicated issue. And what prompted it was the
- 1:41passing of a dear old friend who I found out recently, someone
- 1:46who I've known for 40 years and who was in many ways a mentor to
- 1:51me. He was a fellow broadcaster who
- 1:53had hired me and through our relationship of employer
- 1:57employee, we actually grew to become really good friends.
- 2:01And he was about 2020 years my senior.
- 2:04He had a very illustrative past. He was a colorful man.
- 2:07He grew up in the Las Vegas area and I got a chance to get to
- 2:12know his wife and his children. One time.
- 2:15I even dressed, dressed up as Santa Claus to his young
- 2:18children. It was a delightful memory.
- 2:21And we just kept in touch and he passed away and it was a too
- 2:25sudden. He was a man who took care of
- 2:27himself. He was inspiring, very active.
- 2:31But it you know, when this happens, you start to think
- 2:35about things. It just, it has a profound
- 2:37effect on you and you can't help it.
- 2:41The effect that it has is obviously inversely proportional
- 2:45to how much they mean to you in your life.
- 2:47And he meant a lot to me and I was.
- 2:50I was saddened because he had just moved to this part of the
- 2:54country where I'm at and we were then.
- 2:56We were then 100 miles of each other and I had planned on
- 2:59meeting him and seeing him and spending time frequently, but
- 3:02all of that was short circuited. And I I I think when we talk
- 3:08about death and then we're going to get to power in the universe
- 3:11and some of the other stuff that's going on.
- 3:13But I just want to spend a moment with this, because it's
- 3:18an important distinction that the Urantia Book brings up how
- 3:23we view death and the process of death.
- 3:26And the question I have for you is, what's the greater sin?
- 3:32What is the greater sin? Someone who has chosen to
- 3:37disbelieve in deity. Someone who has no conceptual
- 3:41foundation, and they don't even want to have a conceptual
- 3:45foundation about religion. And there are a lot of people
- 3:48that don't want to have anything to do with religion.
- 3:52There's a reason they they call themselves the nuns.
- 3:56And I've had talks with fellow Uranchovic readers about this,
- 4:00and there's no question in my mind that Western culture is
- 4:03going through a phase where a lot of people and it's become
- 4:08politically expedient to be an atheist or to be a materialist.
- 4:14So I ask you, what is the greater sin?
- 4:17And I say that, you know, I'm using sin because it's a
- 4:20powerful world word and people know what it means, is what's
- 4:25the greater disloyalty to not believe in God or not to believe
- 4:30in deity principles or to believe them, but you reject
- 4:36them, which is what Lucifer did. Lucifer rejected the idea of
- 4:42their being a deity and therefore the rules don't apply.
- 4:46Why all the rules? Why can't we just have total
- 4:50entitlement to self liberty and explore our own journey or find
- 4:53our own path? And that is a philosophy that
- 4:57permeates materialism. Materialism or or agnosticism
- 5:03simply says that there is no God and there is no purpose for all
- 5:08of this and that we just have to live our lives.
- 5:10And then there are people who believe in God or they believe
- 5:15in God and or they believe that there's some purpose but they
- 5:20choose to ignore it in their life.
- 5:22It doesn't have anything to do with their thinking or their
- 5:25philosophy. There's still a materialist.
- 5:29They don't deny God, but they just don't have any
- 5:33relationship. And I say, what is the greater
- 5:37sin? And what I'm What do I mean by
- 5:38that? Well, what I mean is what are we
- 5:41going to be held accountable to assuming there is a God,
- 5:45assuming there is an afterlife? The assuming that we continue on
- 5:50and we retain our personalities and we retain our memory and we
- 5:54wake up and we are in another place and we begin to recognize
- 6:01our previous life and our memories start to come back to
- 6:04us. And then we go through the
- 6:06process of seeing others who have made, who've been liberated
- 6:11from the flesh and are now ascended beings and they're on
- 6:14their way. Well, it's interesting to note
- 6:18that I think the Urantia book defines really three forms of
- 6:23death. And that's what I kind of want
- 6:25to get into just briefly here because I think this answers the
- 6:28question. So the first kind of death is
- 6:33the brain, or the body just ceases to function.
- 6:35For whatever reason. Our consciousness is no longer
- 6:39active and the electrochemical reactions inside of our minds
- 6:42are no longer responsive, reactive.
- 6:45Our life vehicle is no longer a living Organism and as a
- 6:51consequence of that our brain doesn't function and our mind
- 6:55needs a place in which to function.
- 6:58So the second form of death, it may not necessarily be the death
- 7:02of the body, but the mind is no longer properly functioning
- 7:06because of a disease, some form of impairment that makes it
- 7:10impossible for the brain to function normally.
- 7:13And we'd see. We, of course, obviously we see
- 7:14this with people who have dementia and Alzheimer's or
- 7:19people that suffer catastrophic brain damage, but their body
- 7:22continues to function. But the way the revelators say
- 7:26is that the universe authorities, they look at that
- 7:30person as being dead, even though their body is still
- 7:34working because there's no chance that there's going to be
- 7:37any. It's fair to say that the
- 7:39thought adjuster probably leaves the spirit fragment of the
- 7:43father that is in doubt in our minds probably takes exit
- 7:48because the the the brain of the individual, the personality, is
- 7:51no longer able to function properly within the mind.
- 7:56The body still works, but the mind is.
- 7:59Then there's a third form of death, and they call that the
- 8:02death of the spiritual, and this is outlined in paper 112 and
- 8:06Section 3, and it says spiritual death, or what I say soul death,
- 8:11is when a man has finally rejected survival when he has
- 8:16been pronounced spiritually insolvent, when such coordinate
- 8:20advice has been recorded. Thereupon do the rulers order
- 8:24the immediate release of the indwelling spirit fragment.
- 8:28And this kind of death is final in its significance,
- 8:31irrespective of the temporary continuation of the living
- 8:36energies of the physical and mind mechanisms.
- 8:39That's from one paper 112, Section 3.
- 8:42From the cosmic standpoint, the mortal is already dead.
- 8:46The continuing life merely indicates the persistence of the
- 8:50material momentum of cosmic energies.
- 8:53So what does that mean to reject survival?
- 8:56And that kind of gets me to my point.
- 9:00And I don't like to interpret these these pages.
- 9:03I like to have you read them in, but for the sake of our
- 9:06discussion, what it means is if you're rejecting survival, it
- 9:10means that you do not believe in the plan.
- 9:13You are not subscribing to the plan.
- 9:15It is not the plan that you believe is possible.
- 9:18And therefore you have adopted a philosophy of life where you cut
- 9:22yourself off from that spiritual insight, that spiritual thought
- 9:28of the continuance of your being.
- 9:31And so in in many ways, it's a form of spiritual suicide.
- 9:34Now, a person who is not spiritual would not be concerned
- 9:37that they are cutting themselves off from the universal mind
- 9:42because they don't even believe that it exists.
- 9:46So how many people do you know have adopted this philosophy?
- 9:49How many people in positions of authority adopt this, this
- 9:53general secular position and in no way will accept the idea of
- 9:57spiritual survival beyond the moral estate?
- 10:01Well, I hate to break it to you, but there are a lot of people in
- 10:03the world who do reject survival.
- 10:06They don't want to have anything to do with it.
- 10:09It is the adoptive way of thinking for many cultures.
- 10:12And it goes it explains why in certain cultures religion
- 10:17offends them, why people get offended.
- 10:19It's interesting that certain religions are more offensive
- 10:22than others. Christianity seems to really
- 10:25offend people who are of a progressive or a scientific mind
- 10:32and they believe in scientism which is that everything can be
- 10:36explained with science. If science doesn't explain it,
- 10:39it doesn't exist. So but then you have governments
- 10:43like China and North Korea. I was just reading the BBC has a
- 10:47new movie out about what life is life like in North Korea from
- 10:51people who have escaped. And and I've of course seen,
- 10:54I've read two or three books on the subject and and seen YouTube
- 10:58videos and it's it's unbelievable.
- 11:00In fact if you go back to my early early episodes, you hear
- 11:05me sort of reference and there's a bit of panic because just
- 11:09thinking that there's 50 million people, probably more than a
- 11:15billion people on this planet, who are suffering specifically
- 11:19because they put their faith in God.
- 11:22And that's just, it takes, it takes your heart away.
- 11:27But atheism and the reputation of deity is a philosophy of
- 11:31living. One either believes conscious
- 11:34life has a continuance or they don't.
- 11:36One believes either they will be held account for our actions on
- 11:40Earth, and then the conduct of such a person has value.
- 11:43If one believes there is no possibility of survival, then
- 11:47every act on earth reflects that philosophy.
- 11:51I believe there's no greater choice of a human being with
- 11:54sole potential to make. And that's why I bring it up.
- 11:57Because the Urantia Book is a revelation.
- 11:59It is telling us. It opens the door to this grand
- 12:04perspective of of survival, of continuance.
- 12:10I was just watching this Dick Bane thing he did on Astronomy.
- 12:14You might want to look it up. It's easy to find.
- 12:16Just type in in your search engine, your ranch of astronomy
- 12:19and you'll find a presentation he has on Pinterest.
- 12:22And boy, the the grandiose size of the universe is just
- 12:27humbling. When you think of how much there
- 12:30is in in the grand super universe, it is humbling and the
- 12:35Urancha book fills in what that whole universe is about.
- 12:40Interesting. So we're being given a book.
- 12:43It's not popular, it's not it's growing, but it's not in the
- 12:46mainstream. And it's a shame because I think
- 12:49a lot of people like I, I I was thinking you know Elon Musk,
- 12:54Elon Musk, who I have a lot of respect for because of his
- 12:56entrepreneurial spirit and his insight.
- 12:59He could use the Urantia Book. Think about if we had these
- 13:02people in very powerful positions who could adopt the
- 13:08Urantia book philosophy. He wouldn't want to build and
- 13:13try to come up with this idea of moving people off planet to live
- 13:16on the moon or live on Mars. If I, I think if if someone, I
- 13:23was talking to that friend of mine who's been on the program
- 13:27about projects that he wants to do with Urantia book.
- 13:30And I said, well, you got to try to find venture capitalists,
- 13:34people that are willing to invest because this book is so
- 13:37cutting edge and if you get the right people, they'll help you
- 13:40with your projects. And I said, man, I'd love to get
- 13:44this in the hands of Elon Musk because his worldview, the
- 13:47worldview, a lot of these people that are in great positions of
- 13:50authority and power is actually devoid of God.
- 13:55They don't know this plan. They don't know the Morontia
- 14:00life. They don't know about the
- 14:03formation of the nebula. And there's they continue to the
- 14:08persistent reject the idea of it because science has has
- 14:13convinced them that if it can't be proven, then it must be
- 14:16rejected. So a lot of people will will
- 14:21come up with the argument hey look if I don't believe in God
- 14:23and I'm wrong, you know what will he say?
- 14:27And and I think that's the thing that they miss is that you have
- 14:30to be committed to the idea. You have to have some cosmic
- 14:36perspective. And that's what I think the
- 14:38Urantia book aims to do, is give us that cosmic perspective.
- 14:43And it's it's quite amazing reading about force organizers
- 14:47and power force directors. And if you if you open the page
- 14:53of part three of the book where the Urantia book talks about the
- 14:59beginnings of our universe and the beginnings of our solar
- 15:02system. I I I find it hilarious that
- 15:06there is an there is a mention of the fact that before our
- 15:10universe was brought into existence.
- 15:12Michael's creation of Nebadon. Before that they sent out an
- 15:19inspector a spiritual inspector And these these these Sentinels
- 15:25go out and they've survey the land in in this case the cosmic
- 15:31landscape and they make a determination is is there enough
- 15:35space and are the conditions ripe for Michael number six
- 15:4211121 to build his his his local universe of Nebedon.
- 15:49And these inspectors are actually the offspring of the
- 15:55Trinity spirits, and I believe it could be the mother spirit,
- 16:02the infinite spirit. So these are beings that are
- 16:06created for this specific purpose, just like and and, and
- 16:10I want to just pause on that. The Urantia Book goes to great
- 16:14lengths to explain that there are all these different types of
- 16:17personality types and they have a specific job.
- 16:21They they have a specific function in the universe.
- 16:24You have divine ministers, you have ancients of days, you have
- 16:28solitary messengers. And these are all terms that are
- 16:31descriptive of what they do. And it's not so different from
- 16:35human life because we have people that were born and they
- 16:40have incredible music talent, and so they get into music and
- 16:44they provide music to the world. You have people that are
- 16:47mathematical geniuses and they, if they have the proper
- 16:51conditions and life works out for them, those talents that
- 16:54were born are then put to use in that area of their expertise.
- 16:59So it's not unlike the human condition that you would have
- 17:03creation filled with people who have specific talents, specific
- 17:08purposes, specific jobs. And this one associate inspector
- 17:14just happened to go out and pull a permit.
- 17:16It says that in the arrangement book he actually filed a permit
- 17:20and reported his findings to the ancients of days.
- 17:23And then several billion years later, here come the
- 17:26construction workers, here come the power force organizers, the
- 17:30all these all these beings that have certain inherent abilities,
- 17:34and they begin the spin. They retract or retreat from the
- 17:39right and it causes a a moment where there's a world of energy
- 17:45and from that initial spin becomes a great nebula that
- 17:50spits out almost a billion Suns. That's amazing to me.
- 17:55And that provides to me a landscape that I think someone
- 17:57like an Elon Musk, because it's a lot more logical.
- 18:01Elon Musk could conceive of that.
- 18:03He could say that would be something that would be
- 18:06legitimate because then it takes the mystery and the superstition
- 18:12out of religion and it moves it to the side and it integrates
- 18:15science, faith, philosophy. So, and there's new discovery
- 18:21going on. They've just come out with two
- 18:23reports. They're now identifying proper
- 18:26exoplanets and they're discovering, just as the Urantia
- 18:30book outlined, that life might be more, there would be more
- 18:38life if we could find it. Let me put down this Life is
- 18:44more likely to occur on smaller satellites of larger planets,
- 18:49which is exactly what the Urantia Book says is common in
- 18:53our universe. Life always seems to appear more
- 18:56commonly on smaller satellites of larger planets, not
- 19:00necessarily like us, where we're a smaller satellite to a sun.
- 19:05And that's something that the James Webb Telescope is
- 19:08revealing. Also, they're finding that there
- 19:11are large clusters of smaller galaxies that encircle and move
- 19:17around. This is a new discovery that you
- 19:19can find if you go on uranchoradio.net.
- 19:22I have a column that has all these new scientific articles
- 19:25that are being released every day.
- 19:28So again, our science is showing us the the view of our universe,
- 19:33which is more commensurate with with the Urancha book.
- 19:38And that's where I think we'll leave it today.
- 19:40We've spent 20 minutes talking about a lot of deep things.
- 19:44And again, just it's kind of a recap, you know, it does matter.
- 19:48We have to be in the game to win.
- 19:52I believe that the greater offense, you know, we talk about
- 19:55the greater sin is to not know about God and not know about the
- 19:59beauty of deity and the supreme being.
- 20:03To me, if you're ignorant and you don't know, you can't reject
- 20:07it. But if you reject the idea of
- 20:09deity, that to me I think is the greater sin.
- 20:12And I also think that is our greatest challenge right now is
- 20:15we have people who have rejected even the notion of living in a
- 20:21universe that is filled with life and they're satisfied with
- 20:24just the material realm. And that set that to me seems, I
- 20:29think, rather sad. So we'll leave it there.
- 20:31And I appreciate you stopping by.
- 20:33Don't forget you can always e-mail me
- 20:35urantiabookradio@gmail.com urantiabookradio@gmail.com next
- 20:41time up. We're going to spend a little
- 20:42time, I think, talking about, well, an interesting story about
- 20:47race. We'll pick up that subject again
- 20:50just a little bit on the next episode.
- 20:53Stay tuned.
