- 1:55Speaker 3: Happy Halloween. Coming up this morning. Two candidates for House
- 1:57Speaker 3: of Delegates, two different districts, two different parties, one Republican,
- 2:00Speaker 3: one Democrat. Linda Bode the Democrat. Sarah Drennan is the Republican.
- 2:04Speaker 3: We'll talk to both on the show, and we'll get
- 2:06Speaker 3: to some other things happening in the news as well.
- 2:10Speaker 3: It is a happy day for this guy, though, because
- 2:12Speaker 3: he's about to wrap up his long journey walking from
- 2:15Speaker 3: Charleston to Morgantown to deliver that big old check for
- 2:18Speaker 3: WU Children's Hospital, made possible by you, the wonderful listeners
- 2:22Speaker 3: of the WVRC media stations, want to bring in for
- 2:25Speaker 3: the final time, well not the final time, because we
- 2:27Speaker 3: have him on next week with a recap, but for
- 2:29Speaker 3: the final time out of the walk, Rob Reel from
- 2:30Speaker 3: her sister station ninety six to one KWS from somewhere, Rob,
- 2:34Speaker 3: good morning. I mean you decided that you're going to
- 3:03Speaker 3: go big or go home on Morgantown because you're going
- 3:05Speaker 3: into that western area, man. I mean, that's that's And
- 3:08Speaker 3: by the way, it just so happens that our first
- 3:10Speaker 3: guest on the show today is a candidate for a
- 3:12Speaker 3: House of Delegates. But she's also a nurse, so I
- 3:15Speaker 3: have just think now she's a nick you nurse, Okay,
- 3:17Speaker 3: so you're a little old for that, but I got Sarah,
- 3:21Speaker 3: Sarah Drennan is in studio. We're going to talk to
- 3:23Speaker 3: her a little bit later on, but she's she's standing by,
- 3:26Speaker 3: although it's not gonna do us a lot of good
- 3:27Speaker 3: in Charleston. I guess right. We'll be talking to her
- 3:34Speaker 3: in just a little bit. So again, just kind of
- 3:38Speaker 3: review this whole thing. And these are your words. Sometimes, Rob,
- 3:43Speaker 3: you let your big mouth write a check that the
- 3:45Speaker 3: rest of you can't cash. That was your words, by
- 3:49Speaker 3: the way, no pun intended. And you told the listeners
- 3:51Speaker 3: that if if they helped raise the money, that you
- 3:54Speaker 3: would walk that check from our studios at eleven eleven
- 3:57Speaker 3: Virginia Street in Charleston all the way to WVU Children's
- 4:00Speaker 3: in Morgantown. And unless your calves literally explode, you're gonna
- 4:05Speaker 3: make it around one o'clock or so. Here you are,
- 4:40Speaker 3: and so you're gonn arrive at about one o'clock. Now I
- 4:42Speaker 3: saw your and I actually posted it and shared it
- 4:44Speaker 3: on my on my radio page. Why are you dressed
- 4:48Speaker 3: like you are? I know it's Halloween, but even for Halloween.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I know it's Halloween, but are you go ahead?
- 5:00Speaker 5: Kay?
- 5:25Speaker 3: And what is the costume? For those that haven't seen
- 5:27Speaker 3: it yet, Daffy duck. He's so so it's not unusual.
- 5:34Speaker 3: It's not unusual in Morgantown to see a middle aged
- 5:37Speaker 3: man walking through Westover Uh in a duck costume. It
- 5:42Speaker 3: could happen at any time, right, m There you go, there,
- 5:55Speaker 3: you go, well, Rob, you in all seriousness, and you
- 5:57Speaker 3: and I have known each other since how long? How
- 5:59Speaker 3: long have you been back here in Charleston like? And
- 6:05Speaker 3: I wasn't here the first time you were around. But
- 6:07Speaker 3: you and I go back and forth all the time
- 6:09Speaker 3: with each other. I think we're I think we're pretty
- 6:11Speaker 3: good friends. And I will say this in all seriousness
- 6:14Speaker 3: because we're never never serious with each other. I am
- 6:16Speaker 3: sincerely proud of you for doing this. I mean really, man,
- 6:19Speaker 3: I mean you set out on this and you said,
- 6:21Speaker 3: I'm gonna walk this big old check to Morgantown. And
- 6:24Speaker 3: I said, okay, Rob, you're you're obviously drunk. You weren't drunk,
- 6:27Speaker 3: you were totally sober, and you agreed to do this.
- 6:30Speaker 3: You're a man of your word, and you walk through
- 6:32Speaker 3: some beautiful country. By the way, people have not been
- 6:34Speaker 3: following you. Go back and look at the ninety six
- 6:36Speaker 3: one KWS Facebook page and you can see all the
- 6:39Speaker 3: scenery because you know, Sarah, they wouldn't let him walk
- 6:41Speaker 3: on the interstate, so he had to walk all of
- 6:43Speaker 3: the back roads and he got to see some beautiful,
- 6:46Speaker 3: beautiful fall foliage on the way up there. But we're
- 6:50Speaker 3: all proud of you. If I had more people that, well,
- 6:52Speaker 3: Sarah and I will apologize or will applaud for you,
- 6:55Speaker 3: but maybe apologize too. But we're proud of you. Man.
- 6:59Speaker 3: It's great with you've done. And I know that you're
- 7:01Speaker 3: gonna have pictures posted throughout the day on the KWS
- 7:04Speaker 3: Facebook page. And once you get out of that giant
- 7:08Speaker 3: waiting pool of Ebsom salt and we have you in
- 7:11Speaker 3: studio next week, I will uh, well, we'll we'll kind
- 7:14Speaker 3: of review everything. How does that sound? No, And we
- 7:39Speaker 3: had a text here, says Dave. Congratulations to Rob Reel.
- 7:42Speaker 3: He's a man of his words and it's physically tough.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Great job, Rob, says a Texter. All right, well, uh,
- 7:53Speaker 3: I mean only Robriel could say he's uncomfortable with praise,
- 7:56Speaker 3: but not with walking around Morgantown in a duck suit.
- 7:59Speaker 3: He has no issue you with that? All right?
- 8:01Speaker 6: All right?
- 8:02Speaker 7: Rob?
- 8:02Speaker 3: Uh, We'll be watching the Facebook page later today for
- 8:06Speaker 3: all the pictures, and one day next week, once you
- 8:08Speaker 3: rested up, I'll have you back in studio. Man, I
- 8:10Speaker 3: appreciate it, and God bless you for what you did. Buddy.
- 8:12Speaker 3: You're a man of your word. You pulled it off.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Well you're not there, you're not there yet, and you
- 8:17Speaker 3: did and you did remember the check because we were
- 8:21Speaker 3: worried about this, Sarah. We were worried that he would
- 8:23Speaker 3: get up there and realize he forgot the check and
- 8:25Speaker 3: then have to walk back. The check is with you, right,
- 8:32Speaker 3: all right? Rob, We'll talk to you soon.
- 8:34Speaker 7: Man.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Thanks a lot, and big shout out to the folks
- 8:37Speaker 3: at Panhandle Cleaning Restoration because they made that entire thing possible,
- 8:41Speaker 3: that walk from like you, he told me he was
- 8:44Speaker 3: going to do this. And I've known Rob, as I said,
- 8:46Speaker 3: for about a year and a half since he came
- 8:47Speaker 3: back to work here at KWS, and I thought, Okay,
- 8:50Speaker 3: he's obviously he's lost his mind, and apparently he did,
- 8:54Speaker 3: but it's for a great cause and he's a man
- 8:55Speaker 3: of his word. He pulled it off. The walk from
- 8:57Speaker 3: Charleston to Morgantown. He he's only got about six more
- 9:01Speaker 3: miles left is what they say, because he actually went
- 9:03Speaker 3: above and beyond on certain days what he allotted. So
- 9:06Speaker 3: that's good stuff there. But Dave allan chilling five dyl

- 9:33Speaker 3: her sort of in the background there. Sarah Drennan is here.
- 9:36Speaker 3: She's a Republican running for House in District twenty. She
- 9:38Speaker 3: joined us now in the Parmar Store studio. Sarah, good morning,
- 9:40Speaker 3: welcome to the show.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Good morning, Dave, thanks for having me.
- 9:42Speaker 3: I we have to give you definitely a little bit
- 9:44Speaker 3: more microphone there.
- 9:45Speaker 5: Thank you, Dave for having me.
- 9:46Speaker 6: I'm glad to be here.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Well, thank you for being When you think about that
- 9:48Speaker 3: I mean you're you're a nurse and wouldn't get into
- 9:50Speaker 3: that a little bit later on by trade, but somebody
- 9:52Speaker 3: walking from Charleston Morgantown, that's that's pretty.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Big, stiff, really ambitious, but at fantastic at the same time,
- 9:58Speaker 5: Like he's got to be in good shape to be
- 9:59Speaker 5: able to make that kind of trek. And what better
- 10:02Speaker 5: cause than to support a children's hospital.
- 10:04Speaker 3: And this is something that you know a lot about
- 10:06Speaker 3: because of your profession. And I'll go ahead and get
- 10:08Speaker 3: that out there now, two folks, what you do for
- 10:09Speaker 3: a living.
- 10:10Speaker 5: So I'm a nickey nurse at Cable Huntington. I've done
- 10:12Speaker 5: it for almost twenty one years now, and so I
- 10:14Speaker 5: get to work with the tiniest of babies and help
- 10:17Speaker 5: complete families. So I have the best job in the world.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Give us a little background on you personally, you're bio.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Whatever you want to share.
- 10:22Speaker 5: With us, Okay. So I'm a wife and mother of
- 10:26Speaker 5: two teenage boys. We live in Winfield now, we had
- 10:29Speaker 5: been in hurric In prior. Thankfully, I've got a great
- 10:33Speaker 5: job and a wonderful family, and I've been able to
- 10:36Speaker 5: also be involved in the school system, so I've been
- 10:38Speaker 5: able to be the homeroom mom and the math tutor
- 10:40Speaker 5: and run copies for teachers and on PTO boards. And
- 10:43Speaker 5: then we're also active in our church as well, so
- 10:46Speaker 5: I get to be involved in a lot of different
- 10:49Speaker 5: venues to serve. That's essentially what I'm here for is
- 10:52Speaker 5: to help make our state a little bit better, make
- 10:54Speaker 5: our communities better, and ultimately, I just want to be
- 10:57Speaker 5: the best servant that I can essentially.
- 11:00Speaker 3: So that being said, why do you want to be
- 11:01Speaker 3: in the legislature?
- 11:03Speaker 5: My goal is to help create an economy in West
- 11:05Speaker 5: Virginia so that our next generation doesn't have to leave,
- 11:09Speaker 5: so that they choose to raise their families here because honestly,
- 11:12Speaker 5: as a selfish mom, I don't want my kids to
- 11:14Speaker 5: have to leave to find good jobs. I'm sure that's
- 11:16Speaker 5: the general consensus of most people. But at the same time,
- 11:20Speaker 5: bring in younger generations from other areas as well, because
- 11:23Speaker 5: we have a great state, we have a lot to offer.
- 11:24Speaker 5: And I think is if we can build the economy,
- 11:27Speaker 5: we can build the industry, then it won't just be jobs,
- 11:32Speaker 5: that will be careers that will continue to feed and
- 11:34Speaker 5: grow our state.
- 11:36Speaker 3: And I was reading last night doing some research Sarah,
- 11:39Speaker 3: over some of your endorsements, and you have quite a few,
- 11:41Speaker 3: including West Virginians for Life. Why was that endorsement important
- 11:44Speaker 3: to you?
- 11:45Speaker 5: Well, the youngest babies that we have personally saved and
- 11:48Speaker 5: worked with at the hospital is twenty two weeks, and
- 11:51Speaker 5: so personally, I believe that life begins at conception. It's
- 11:55Speaker 5: they actually if you go back and look at the
- 11:57Speaker 5: cellular level, there's a flash of light when an egenance
- 12:01Speaker 5: firm meat. That is the flash of life that is created.
- 12:05Speaker 5: And with medicine, there's so many things we can do.
- 12:08Speaker 5: We're so capable of saving and growing these babies once
- 12:13Speaker 5: they're born, and so personally, if we can continue to
- 12:18Speaker 5: save lives, whether it's something that it's created under not
- 12:23Speaker 5: necessarily the best instances, but even if a lot of
- 12:28Speaker 5: times with mom's health being at risk, there's been many
- 12:31Speaker 5: cases where babies have been delivered early so that moms
- 12:34Speaker 5: can get, you know, the treatment that they need and
- 12:36Speaker 5: to be able to take these babies and grow them
- 12:39Speaker 5: and then complete a family, whether it's through adoption, whether
- 12:42Speaker 5: it's through biologic or fostering. Every life matters.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Talk about the district, Sarah, what areas were talking about?
- 12:50Speaker 3: And what do you see the biggest needs of District twenty?
- 12:53Speaker 3: First to find the district. You know what areas we're
- 12:55Speaker 3: talking about, and what do you see is the biggest
- 12:56Speaker 3: needs of those districts.
- 12:58Speaker 5: So District twenty is composed of part of Hurricane Scott
- 13:02Speaker 5: Depot and Windfield.
- 13:06Speaker 6: It's population base.
- 13:07Speaker 5: But essentially it looks like somebody close their eyes and
- 13:09Speaker 5: drew a random line as far as where the lines go.
- 13:13Speaker 5: But what I've talked to different businesses and different members
- 13:16Speaker 5: through throughout the community and transportation seems to be a
- 13:19Speaker 5: really big one as far as getting people where they
- 13:22Speaker 5: need to go. We're not a big city, so we
- 13:24Speaker 5: don't have big city transportation. Another issue is childcare. Childcare
- 13:29Speaker 5: is huge, whether it's daycares or honestly in our area specifically,
- 13:36Speaker 5: we have a lot of grandparents raising kids and respite
- 13:41Speaker 5: care for those instances so that grandparents can go to
- 13:44Speaker 5: doctor's appointments and not have to take little kids with
- 13:46Speaker 5: them as well. Is something that has been brought to
- 13:49Speaker 5: my attention that I hope to be able to make
- 13:51Speaker 5: a difference with.
- 13:53Speaker 3: You're you and your opponent, either one whether you win
- 13:56Speaker 3: or your opponent wins. There's going to be a new
- 13:59Speaker 3: a new kid on the block, so to speak, representing
- 14:01Speaker 3: District twenty. Are you prepared for that?
- 14:03Speaker 5: Honestly, I've like to go with the fact that I'm
- 14:06Speaker 5: smart enough to know that I don't know everything. I
- 14:08Speaker 5: have a lot to learn, and there's a lot of
- 14:11Speaker 5: really experienced people that I've been able to draw from,
- 14:15Speaker 5: ask questions from, and ultimately, like I said, my goal
- 14:19Speaker 5: is to get in and serve and just make our
- 14:22Speaker 5: state and my constituents be a representative for them.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Where can people learn more about your campaign? You got
- 14:28Speaker 3: a website or social media?
- 14:29Speaker 5: You want to both social media on Facebook, we have
- 14:33Speaker 5: Drennen for House. My personal email is Sarah at Drennan
- 14:38Speaker 5: number four house dot com and then my website is
- 14:41Speaker 5: Drennin for House as well. Please, if you have questions,
- 14:45Speaker 5: reach out. I'm happy to interact and talk to people
- 14:47Speaker 5: if you want to know anything about me, or like
- 14:49Speaker 5: I said, if there's any concerns or things that you
- 14:52Speaker 5: need help with. Like I said, it's a civil service.
- 14:57Speaker 6: That's what we're here.
- 14:57Speaker 5: For is to help our state and communities. So that's
- 15:00Speaker 5: my goal.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Give me the final thirty. Why should someone vote for
- 15:03Speaker 3: Sarah Drennan for House of Delegates.
- 15:04Speaker 5: District twenty because you're not going to find somebody who
- 15:08Speaker 5: is truly has a heart for service and wants to
- 15:13Speaker 5: make a difference in our state and our communities. Because,
- 15:16Speaker 5: like I said, that's that's why we're here. It's not
- 15:18Speaker 5: about accolades, it's not about position. It's just about trying
- 15:21Speaker 5: to make our area a better place for not only
- 15:24Speaker 5: our generation, but for the generations to come, because that's
- 15:26Speaker 5: the future of our state.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Sarah Drennan, a Republican candidate for District twenty in the
- 15:31Speaker 3: House of Delegates. I appreciate you being here. Thanks a lot.

- 19:22Speaker 3: we'll be talking to another candidate. This is Mark Carter,
- 19:25Speaker 3: Republican running for House, and our buddy Joe Stevens from
- 19:28Speaker 3: Nitro will be here. They're gonna be doing a whole
- 19:30Speaker 3: lot of chili making on Saturday for their annual Chili Festival.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Get into that, well, not literally get into it. We'll
- 19:36Speaker 3: talk about it. They frown up on you actually getting
- 19:38Speaker 3: into chili. Don't ask me how I know. We'll talk
- 19:40Speaker 3: to Joe about that. Coming up on tomorrow's show, I
- 19:43Speaker 3: want to bring in now Stephen Allen Adams from Ogden Newspapers.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Steven Good morning. Just two days away from the first
- 19:49Speaker 3: and only Goobernatorial debate between Republican Patrick Morrissey and Democrats
- 19:52Speaker 3: Steve Williams.
- 19:53Speaker 10: Yes, Yes, read Hoppy's column today. I have to agree
- 19:57Speaker 10: with Happy. It's what we talked about Tuesday night and
- 20:00Speaker 10: Wednesday morning. I thought it was a very civil debate.
- 20:05Speaker 10: I thought both candidates did a great job articulating what
- 20:11Speaker 10: they believe in. I think Hopey did a good job.
- 20:13Speaker 10: I know he didn't get to everything he wanted to ask,
- 20:17Speaker 10: and I gotta tell you it was interesting to me.
- 20:19Speaker 10: Amilia nicely pointed this out that it was very kind
- 20:22Speaker 10: of front heavy, wefty education conversation, which I thought was
- 20:27Speaker 10: good because I feel like that's going to be a
- 20:29Speaker 10: big focus going into the next legislative session. Obviously, school
- 20:33Speaker 10: choice is still going to be a big thing, but
- 20:34Speaker 10: I also think that we're going to have to see
- 20:37Speaker 10: some probably a good look at public education, how we funded,
- 20:42Speaker 10: how counties were organized and do their things, especially with
- 20:46Speaker 10: all the school consolidation. So it was nice to hear
- 20:48Speaker 10: both candidates kind of talk about that particular issue. But
- 20:51Speaker 10: I thought it went great. I thought it was good.
- 20:53Speaker 10: Just wish it could have happened sooner so voters could
- 20:55Speaker 10: have gotten that information going into early voting.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Along those same lines. I'm going to agree, Steven with
- 21:01Speaker 3: something that Hoppy said yesterday. I this is just me speaking.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I think it's a it's a real shame that the
- 21:06Speaker 3: voters didn't get to see a debate between Glenn Elliot
- 21:09Speaker 3: and Jim Justice, you know, in the Senate race. And
- 21:12Speaker 3: we all we all pretty much know. I know you're
- 21:15Speaker 3: a journalist, so you got to watch what I don't
- 21:17Speaker 3: have to say. I don't have to watch what I say. Conventionally, wisdom,
- 21:21Speaker 3: everybody knows Jim Jim Justice is going to win this race, okay.
- 21:25Speaker 3: And and I understand not wanting to debate. If you're
- 21:28Speaker 3: already way ahead in the polls. You get into this, well,
- 21:30Speaker 3: why would I? I could only lose ground. I completely
- 21:33Speaker 3: understand that. Having worked on campaigns myself in the past,
- 21:36Speaker 3: I get that. Uh so I know all the rules.
- 21:39Speaker 3: But you know it's not again editorial comment on my behalf, Steven.
- 21:42Speaker 3: It's not always about you the candidate. It really should
- 21:46Speaker 3: be about the voting public. And I don't care what
- 21:48Speaker 3: the party is, that's not important. But if you take
- 21:51Speaker 3: the stance I don't need to debate just because I'm
- 21:53Speaker 3: ahead in my opinion, it's just selfish. It's just selfish.
- 21:56Speaker 10: That's just my two cents. No, I completely agree. That
- 21:58Speaker 10: was my call in this week too. I really think
- 22:01Speaker 10: you kind of owe it to people, not necessarily just
- 22:04Speaker 10: to have the debate. You can have the debate or
- 22:06Speaker 10: not have the debate, but you know, if there's actually
- 22:08Speaker 10: a lot we don't know about where Jim Justice will
- 22:14Speaker 10: vote on certain issues. Now you can make assumptions, yes
- 22:16Speaker 10: he's a Republican, he's running as a conservative, but we
- 22:20Speaker 10: don't outside immigration, I think immigration and some energy issues,
- 22:24Speaker 10: we really don't know that much about how he would
- 22:27Speaker 10: vote on specific issues that are facing you know, members
- 22:30Speaker 10: of Congress in the House or in the Senate. We
- 22:35Speaker 10: do know where Glenn Elliott will be on these issues
- 22:38Speaker 10: because he has put himself on the record on these
- 22:40Speaker 10: issues and he has talked. We don't know that from
- 22:43Speaker 10: you know, Governor Justice. So if nothing else, the debate
- 22:47Speaker 10: would have brought out those issues and brought out his
- 22:50Speaker 10: stances on those issues. So I do think you kind
- 22:53Speaker 10: of owe it to the voters, even if you feel
- 22:55Speaker 10: you're substantially ahead, to have that converse sation, whether it's
- 23:01Speaker 10: a debate or a forum, which let's be honest, the
- 23:05Speaker 10: Metro News event to see was really more of a
- 23:07Speaker 10: forum forum.
- 23:08Speaker 3: That's what Hoppey called it.
- 23:08Speaker 10: Ye yeah, which is great, but we need that information.
- 23:12Speaker 10: We don't really have it.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I would agree with that. But Dave Alan showing five
- 23:16Speaker 3: Any Live brought to you in part by Generations Physical
- 23:18Speaker 3: Therapy and they need your help. Generations in each of
- 23:21Speaker 3: their locations have their annual staff Halloween costume contest, and
- 23:25Speaker 3: they need your help to vote. You can go to
- 23:27Speaker 3: Generations Physical Therapies Facebook page, Like the page and vote
- 23:30Speaker 3: on your favorite clinic costume. Generations will be giving away
- 23:34Speaker 3: massage guns randomly to someone who likes and votes on
- 23:38Speaker 3: their page today, and happy Halloween from your friends of
- 23:41Speaker 3: Generation's Physical Therapy. Steven's on his phone over here right now.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Go to Generations Physical Therapy. So all right, so let
- 23:48Speaker 3: we'll get beyond that. So let's go back to the forum,
- 23:52Speaker 3: if you will. Between Morrissey and Williams the other night,
- 23:54Speaker 3: what were your your thoughts over all on the performance
- 23:59Speaker 3: of either one. I don't ask journalists to pick winners
- 24:01Speaker 3: and losers, but overall start with Steve Williams, I mean,
- 24:05Speaker 3: your your thoughts overall.
- 24:06Speaker 10: I thought Steve Williams did a good job when he
- 24:09Speaker 10: was being asked to direct questions from Hoppy. I think
- 24:13Speaker 10: where Steve Williams probably fumbled was in his efforts to
- 24:17Speaker 10: try to criticize Patrick Morrissey. Now that's what you got
- 24:22Speaker 10: to do. I mean, I've said this from the very beginning.
- 24:25Speaker 10: In order to win this race, he's got to get
- 24:27Speaker 10: Republicans to vote for him, because that is the majority
- 24:30Speaker 10: of voter registration in this state now, so you need
- 24:33Speaker 10: to peel off voters from Morrissey. I know that's what
- 24:37Speaker 10: Steve Williams tried to do, but I feel like sometimes
- 24:39Speaker 10: his attacks on Morrissey were a little clumsy, especially in
- 24:43Speaker 10: regards to opioids. I got a story today kind of
- 24:45Speaker 10: focused on the comments that were made in regards to
- 24:49Speaker 10: the opioid crisis from both candidates, and I thought that
- 24:52Speaker 10: trying to hit Morrissey with the whole lobbyist for pharmaceutical companies,
- 24:57Speaker 10: which at this point has been more than fifteen years ago,
- 25:00Speaker 10: and it's something he's been hit with over and over
- 25:02Speaker 10: and over in every election he's had. And this is
- 25:04Speaker 10: what I told Happy yesterday. This was probably the best
- 25:07Speaker 10: response I've ever seen him have that question, because he
- 25:10Speaker 10: really didn't get flustered by it. He just kind of
- 25:13Speaker 10: pivoted talked about his issues creating to the West Virginia
- 25:17Speaker 10: First Foundation and what they're going to do with the
- 25:19Speaker 10: OPIO with money. And I thought it was clever pointing out,
- 25:22Speaker 10: by the way, Mayor, you were at the press conference
- 25:24Speaker 10: where I had announced the program and you were in
- 25:27Speaker 10: supportive of it. I know because I covered that press conference,
- 25:30Speaker 10: so I was there, and it's true. I thought it
- 25:32Speaker 10: was all clever. Now, in regards to Morrissey, I thought
- 25:36Speaker 10: I thought we've seen him for years now, and he's
- 25:39Speaker 10: a hard charging guy. He's a bulldog, And don't mean
- 25:42Speaker 10: that as a pejorative. I just mean that, you know,
- 25:45Speaker 10: he he's a fighter, and he especially in the political arena,
- 25:49Speaker 10: I thought he came across as very measured, very calm,
- 25:52Speaker 10: explained himself very well. He didn't fall back on the
- 25:55Speaker 10: crutch of I'm supported by Trump. He now, he mentioned
- 25:58Speaker 10: it a couple of times, but not that much as
- 26:00Speaker 10: much as I thought that he would. And I thought
- 26:02Speaker 10: he came across the looking gubernatorial.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Yeah. I think I would agree with that. And again,
- 26:08Speaker 3: conventional wisdom is with all due respect to Steve Williams,
- 26:11Speaker 3: it's just so hard for a Democrat to win a
- 26:13Speaker 3: statewide race right now that more more than likely we're
- 26:17Speaker 3: going to be talking about a more seat administration for
- 26:18Speaker 3: governor and a Jim Justice senator ship for lack of
- 26:22Speaker 3: a better term. As we get close to election day,
- 26:26Speaker 3: and of course early voting has already been going on
- 26:28Speaker 3: and numbers are off the charts in our area for
- 26:31Speaker 3: people that have done early voting, can all Putnam and
- 26:33Speaker 3: surrounding areas. As we get closer to election day, is
- 26:37Speaker 3: it possible that the Republicans get even stronger in the legislature,
- 26:41Speaker 3: because I think it is maybe.
- 26:44Speaker 10: I don't think they get much weaker. I think the
- 26:47Speaker 10: one opportunity might be in the Senate for an additional
- 26:51Speaker 10: Democratic pickup. Right now, there's three Democratic seats in the
- 26:54Speaker 10: thirty four member state Senate. I've been told that the
- 26:58Speaker 10: John Doyle Usher Rucker race in the eastern Panhandle might
- 27:02Speaker 10: be closer to what people think. Yeah, I've heard that's
- 27:03Speaker 10: a possibility as well, but I think it at least
- 27:07Speaker 10: maintains three Democratic seats. I think Joey Garcia is gonna
- 27:10Speaker 10: be fine. I think, uh, I think the seat for
- 27:14Speaker 10: Bob Plymol. I think that's gonna probably stay in Democratic camps.
- 27:17Speaker 10: Possibly over on the House side, that would be the opportunity.
- 27:21Speaker 10: There's eleven Democrats in the hunterd member House. I think
- 27:23Speaker 10: there is a real opportunity for that to drop to ten,
- 27:27Speaker 10: maybe perhaps the nine. But I definitely don't see Democrats
- 27:32Speaker 10: gaining any ground in the House. I could be wrong.
- 27:36Speaker 10: I don't make predictions, but that is my that is
- 27:39Speaker 10: my guess based on the politics I see in some
- 27:42Speaker 10: of these races. I think they're especially here in Kanall County.
- 27:45Speaker 10: I think there's probably a chance for a Republican pick
- 27:47Speaker 10: up on a seat. I think it's gonna be real
- 27:50Speaker 10: tight that I think super majorities certainly stay and I
- 27:53Speaker 10: don't think Republicans lose much strength.
- 27:55Speaker 3: All Right, well, Steven, I know there's gonna be really
- 27:57Speaker 3: busy as we all are over the next couple of days.
- 27:59Speaker 3: I won't l after the election, but let's go ahead
- 28:01Speaker 3: and i'll get with you later. We'll plan on having
- 28:03Speaker 3: you maybe a day or so after the election next week,
- 28:05Speaker 3: and we'll kind of do a little recap. What do
- 28:06Speaker 3: you think of our new temporary digs here?
- 28:08Speaker 10: I love the temporary digs as a radio nerd. Hey,
- 28:13Speaker 10: I like what I see here. I'm really excited for
- 28:15Speaker 10: the new studio because I just want to see the
- 28:18Speaker 10: new boards and and all that. I think it's gonna
- 28:21Speaker 10: be real, real cool. But I think this looks great,
- 28:24Speaker 10: looks professional like it's it's weird. You know, it gives
- 28:27Speaker 10: you a professional error that you've never really had before.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Probably should have a more professional host. I mean, they're
- 28:33Speaker 3: gonna they're gonna get all this stuff done, and they're
- 28:35Speaker 3: gonna look at the other one. What's this call it?
- 28:37Speaker 3: What's this clown doing here? So well, well, we'll see
- 28:39Speaker 3: what happens after the studios done, after the first of
- 28:41Speaker 3: the year. They tell us, all right, Steven, where can
- 28:43Speaker 3: people read your stuff?
- 28:44Speaker 10: Purpose Renewcing Sentinel, Wheeling Intelligencer, weird in Daily Times, inter
- 28:49Speaker 10: mounting the Elkins Martinsburg Journal, and now the Dominion Post
- 28:52Speaker 10: in Morgantown.
- 28:52Speaker 3: All right, and of course you got to follow Stephen
- 28:54Speaker 3: on X. If you follow anybody on X, it's got
- 28:57Speaker 3: to be Stephen well and and me and Brad and

- 32:41Speaker 15: lifelong West Virginia born and raised here, and I'm a musician.
- 32:46Speaker 15: I love playing steel drums.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I was going to ask you, because soon as you
- 32:49Speaker 3: said musician, I have to ask you. What do you
- 32:51Speaker 3: play and how long you been playing it?
- 32:53Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 32:53Speaker 15: Steel drums for almost twenty years. We have a band
- 32:57Speaker 15: at our church. Been to museum musicians since like fourth grade.
- 33:02Speaker 15: When you know the school brought in all the instruments.
- 33:04Speaker 3: What do you want to play and you were in
- 33:06Speaker 3: still drums. Okay, yeah, now I'm in still drums okay,
- 33:08Speaker 3: all right, what else about you?
- 33:10Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 33:10Speaker 15: So I'm an innovator creator, I like to I like
- 33:14Speaker 15: to create things kind of out of nothing sometimes, but
- 33:16Speaker 15: how can we make solutions? So that's a little bit
- 33:20Speaker 15: about who I am. After I graduated high school, I
- 33:25Speaker 15: received my accounting degree from Glenville State College, and then
- 33:30Speaker 15: later on, when I decided I need to get my
- 33:32Speaker 15: master's degree, I went to Marshall University Graduate College and
- 33:35Speaker 15: received a technology management degree.
- 33:38Speaker 6: So I've got a little bit of.
- 33:39Speaker 15: A technology and accounting that was That was kind of
- 33:45Speaker 15: my focus when I was in education, So then I was.
- 33:50Speaker 15: I moved to Charleston after I graduated college. Better job
- 33:54Speaker 15: opportunities here, and I ended up working in accounting in
- 33:58Speaker 15: the construction and mining industry in the early nineties. Then
- 34:02Speaker 15: later on I was introduced to a credit union in
- 34:06Speaker 15: nineteen ninety eight. I still didn't really know what I
- 34:09Speaker 15: wanted to do with life. Accounting was like, yeah, you know,
- 34:12Speaker 15: it's all right, but it wasn't my life passion. So
- 34:16Speaker 15: I started working for a credit union and I figured out,
- 34:18Speaker 15: you know, the light bulb.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Was I see what you did their credit union figured
- 34:21Speaker 3: out I did.
- 34:24Speaker 15: So it took a little bit of time for me
- 34:25Speaker 15: to figure out what my life mission, my life goals were.
- 34:29Speaker 15: So when I figured out what a credit union did, exactly,
- 34:31Speaker 15: it's banking services, but it's people helping people.
- 34:34Speaker 6: It's helping those who.
- 34:36Speaker 15: May not be able to get services at a traditional bank,
- 34:40Speaker 15: or they're specifically affiliated for an employer group or a
- 34:43Speaker 15: business whatever. So I found out that my personal mission
- 34:48Speaker 15: align with the credit and mission people helping people. I mean,
- 34:50Speaker 15: that's a West Virginia thing.
- 34:52Speaker 6: That's what we do.
- 34:52Speaker 15: We love to help people, and we love people. And
- 34:56Speaker 15: I never left because I fell in love with it.
- 35:00Speaker 15: And so through the years, I want to talk about
- 35:03Speaker 15: some of the things that, you know, being personally aligned
- 35:05Speaker 15: with credit unions and in my job, the things we
- 35:09Speaker 15: were able to accomplish. One of the major things that
- 35:13Speaker 15: I'm very proud of is our little credit union in Charleston,
- 35:17Speaker 15: West Virginia, was the first institution in the world to
- 35:20Speaker 15: have an iPhone app where you could take.
- 35:22Speaker 6: A picture of your check and deposit.
- 35:24Speaker 3: Really okay, yeah, so we we made history and for
- 35:28Speaker 3: a good reason.
- 35:29Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, we made good history.
- 35:32Speaker 15: Yes, So we made banking more accessible by making this
- 35:38Speaker 15: solution for people. And then fast forward to twenty seventeen.
- 35:42Speaker 15: If you recall the medical cannabis legislation in the past,
- 35:46Speaker 15: and that took a very long time for that program
- 35:48Speaker 15: to launch, and one of the reasons was a banking
- 35:50Speaker 15: issue with it. So using my creativity, innovation, talking with people,
- 35:55Speaker 15: we were able to solve that problem with banking, and
- 36:00Speaker 15: we put ourselves out there to bank an industry where
- 36:02Speaker 15: it's so federally illegal. Yet we've managed to bank the
- 36:08Speaker 15: state so that the medical cannabis program is active and
- 36:12Speaker 15: operational and people can get the health care that they need.
- 36:15Speaker 15: So those are two big things that I did in
- 36:18Speaker 15: my job that aligned personally with me as well.
- 36:22Speaker 3: So all that being said, why do you want to
- 36:24Speaker 3: run for the house? What made you decide to go
- 36:26Speaker 3: from that into the house.
- 36:28Speaker 15: Yeah, So there's a lot more stuff that I've done
- 36:31Speaker 15: working with small businesses, okay to improve our local economy.
- 36:35Speaker 15: Very big on community, very big on volunteering locally and nationally.
- 36:39Speaker 15: So I have a lot of community experience, a lot
- 36:41Speaker 15: of support of local businesses, local economies, because that's what
- 36:46Speaker 15: makes us great is having this great community, and Charleston
- 36:50Speaker 15: is a great place in Charleston area. So I want
- 36:53Speaker 15: to bring that passion to the state. I want to
- 36:58Speaker 15: make a difference on a bigger level or for more
- 37:01Speaker 15: people in a government. We need more balance. It's it's
- 37:04Speaker 15: we're out of balance right now. We need more focused
- 37:08Speaker 15: on solving problems, making solutions, and less distractions from issues
- 37:14Speaker 15: that don't really help people.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Okay. And so when you take a look at the
- 37:19Speaker 3: legislature over the last you know, a few years, ten
- 37:22Speaker 3: years or so, a little bit longer, it's been dominated,
- 37:25Speaker 3: you know, by Republicans, super majority, super duper majority. I
- 37:28Speaker 3: don't know what we're going to call it if it
- 37:29Speaker 3: continues to grow. But that's got to be difficult for
- 37:33Speaker 3: anybody to come in knowing that if you win this race, Linda,
- 37:36Speaker 3: that that you're going to be in the super duper minority.
- 37:39Speaker 3: I guess are you prepared for that?
- 37:41Speaker 15: I am prepared. That's I've been in that situation almost
- 37:44Speaker 15: my entire life. Being female and being in business, you're
- 37:48Speaker 15: typically like you're one of the only females or very
- 37:51Speaker 15: few females in positions of boards or executive positions. So
- 37:58Speaker 15: it's it's nothing new for me. I would be prepared
- 38:01Speaker 15: for that. And also, there's only twelve women right now
- 38:04Speaker 15: in the House of Delegates, and after the election, what's
- 38:07Speaker 15: that number going to be. Is going to be higher,
- 38:08Speaker 15: is going to be lower. We are the lowest in
- 38:11Speaker 15: the nation in female representation, and again that we're out
- 38:15Speaker 15: of balance. We need more voices.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I saw an interview with Delegate Kaylee Young that was
- 38:21Speaker 3: on with the Mark Curtis and Inside Politics over the weekend,
- 38:24Speaker 3: And if I get this wrong, somebody can correct me.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I think she said she was currently the only delegate,
- 38:31Speaker 3: the only legislator with kids in the school system currently
- 38:35Speaker 3: in the school system. I may may have got that wrong,
- 38:37Speaker 3: but if not, she's one of the only ones. So
- 38:39Speaker 3: there's not a whole lot of moms of school age
- 38:43Speaker 3: kids in the legislature from what she said.
- 38:46Speaker 15: Right exactly. I'm another one of those. Yeah, not in
- 38:49Speaker 15: the legislature yet, but I have a high school daughter.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:53Speaker 15: And I tell you, running a campaign where you have
- 38:56Speaker 15: children and I don't know how men do it, but
- 38:59Speaker 15: as as a mom, it's you know, I've given up
- 39:02Speaker 15: time with my child to go out and knockdoors, to
- 39:05Speaker 15: meet people, to do all these things I didn't know,
- 39:09Speaker 15: you know, how do you run a political campaign? So
- 39:12Speaker 15: I spent a lot of time and I've not I've
- 39:14Speaker 15: sacrificed time away from my family, my daughter.
- 39:17Speaker 3: And if you win, there'll be more time, you know,
- 39:19Speaker 3: away from that. You know there's people that are already there.
- 39:22Speaker 3: I know that we're talking to Lindbodi again, who's a
- 39:24Speaker 3: candidate for House of Delegates. How's the campaign been for you.
- 39:28Speaker 15: It's actually been a lot of fun. I've learned a
- 39:31Speaker 15: lot because I've never been in politics before, so I
- 39:35Speaker 15: had to learn how campaign finance works, how do you
- 39:39Speaker 15: run a campaign. I even went to school. I took
- 39:42Speaker 15: a course of like three day course of here's how
- 39:44Speaker 15: you run a campaign. We went through simulations and that
- 39:46Speaker 15: was really fascinating. But you know, meeting all the people,
- 39:50Speaker 15: that's been the best part for me. That everyone is
- 39:52Speaker 15: so passionate and everyone's so supportive and friendly and helpful
- 39:57Speaker 15: in you know, running, preparing to run and actually carrying
- 40:03Speaker 15: out the knocking on doors, the asking for money. That's
- 40:07Speaker 15: the worst part, by the way, is asking for money. Yeah,
- 40:10Speaker 15: that's the most uncomfortable part for me and most candidates.
- 40:13Speaker 15: But you know, having the support system that I have
- 40:17Speaker 15: has been very helpful.
- 40:19Speaker 3: I was doing a little looking around on your on
- 40:21Speaker 3: your social media, and it looks like the deer in
- 40:23Speaker 3: your campaign. You've encountered all kinds of animals too. You
- 40:26Speaker 3: had like a ferret, something like that ferret.
- 40:29Speaker 15: I never envisioned a ferret. I have not checked off
- 40:32Speaker 15: a bear yet, and I hope not to check off bear,
- 40:36Speaker 15: but I've seen pretty much every other animal.
- 40:38Speaker 3: All right. So do you have a Facebook page? You
- 40:42Speaker 3: got a website something that you want to plug where
- 40:44Speaker 3: people can learn more aboute in the in the coming
- 40:46Speaker 3: days as we head toward election day.
- 40:49Speaker 6: Absolutely, I have a Facebook page, Linda Bode.
- 40:52Speaker 3: For House bod Bo d e o d I E
- 40:55Speaker 3: okay b d I e yeh. I need to correct
- 40:57Speaker 3: my uh I left the eye off on your your
- 41:00Speaker 3: description on the Facebook page. I'll correct that. E yes, yes, okay,
- 41:03Speaker 3: all right.
- 41:05Speaker 15: And I also have a website Body Bodie for the
- 41:09Speaker 15: number four WV dot com.
- 41:12Speaker 3: All right. With my candidates, I always do something I call
- 41:14Speaker 3: the final thirty and it's not timed or anything like that,
- 41:17Speaker 3: but I just say, give me the final thirty. Why
- 41:20Speaker 3: is it? People should vote for it? Linda Body with
- 41:22Speaker 3: an eye for House of Delegates.
- 41:25Speaker 15: Well, I am a strong believer that if you have
- 41:31Speaker 15: faith and passion and desire, and you strongly believe in something,
- 41:34Speaker 15: you can do it. That's what I've done my whole life.
- 41:37Speaker 15: If I believe in something enough, I can achieve it.
- 41:39Speaker 6: I can do it. I believe.
- 41:42Speaker 15: I know, I actually believe I can go to the
- 41:44Speaker 15: legislature and make a difference, a positive difference, because I
- 41:46Speaker 15: know my voice will matter, even though it's just one voice,
- 41:49Speaker 15: having one voice say something different, say something that can
- 41:53Speaker 15: impact impact so many more people. That's important, and that's
- 41:57Speaker 15: what I hope to achieve, is to bring that belief
- 42:00Speaker 15: into the legislature.
- 42:01Speaker 6: To help people.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Well, well, wish you the Master of Luck. Thanks a
- 42:04Speaker 3: lot for being here. Thank you, Linda Body again a

- 46:04Speaker 3: Text of the show says, texta Dave, going back to
- 46:07Speaker 3: yesterday's show, I listened to the interview you did yesterday
- 46:10Speaker 3: with John Mitchell. Programming note, I'll jump in here. John
- 46:13Speaker 3: Mitchell is running for county prosecutor here in Kanawha County
- 46:16Speaker 3: against the sitting prosecutor, Debora Rusnick. Continuing on with the text.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Continuing with the text here. On yesterday's show, he actually
- 46:23Speaker 3: complained that deb Rusnick was too tough on crime. That's
- 46:26Speaker 3: the job, John, and that's why a Democrat hasn't held
- 46:29Speaker 3: that office for twenty years. Okay, let me see. Tex
- 46:35Speaker 3: says almost all of Linda Bodie's money came from liberal
- 46:39Speaker 3: out of state interest. Says a Texter came not reading that.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Definitely not reading that. Tex says was she proud of
- 46:53Speaker 3: the false attacks on her opponent. I talked to Linda
- 46:57Speaker 3: before the show, and she opted, She said she did
- 46:59Speaker 3: not want to address her opponent at all. And one
- 47:02Speaker 3: of the things that I do as host of the
- 47:04Speaker 3: show is I tried to be accompinating of my guest.
- 47:07Speaker 3: And I asked Linda, I said, you know, I had
- 47:10Speaker 3: jb Acres, your opponent on the show on Tuesday, and
- 47:15Speaker 3: she said I wanted to just focus on me, and
- 47:17Speaker 3: I said, okay, that's fine with me. So that's that's
- 47:20Speaker 3: what we did. Text says rob Rio had to walk
- 47:24Speaker 3: all the back roads all the way to Morgantown. According
- 47:26Speaker 3: to Google Maps, that's a sixty four hour walk. God
- 47:29Speaker 3: bless you Rob Well he did it for a good cause.
- 47:32Speaker 3: Text says this one was running her entire campaign on
- 47:39Speaker 3: abortion and homosexuality. Why did you not mention that on
- 47:42Speaker 3: the radio and own it? Because she knows it's a
- 47:43Speaker 3: losing strategy, said, well, it's her time, she can talk,
- 47:47Speaker 3: she can do what she wants. Texas Linda bodies too
- 47:51Speaker 3: extreme for West Virginia. She wants boys and women's sports.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Texas says, West Virginia is gonna have a senator who's
- 47:58Speaker 3: in the pocket of a foreign country and a governor
- 48:01Speaker 3: who tried to overthrow the votes of citizens of neighboring states.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Great choices, West Virginia enjoy being perpetually the worst of everything,
- 48:10Speaker 3: says a texture Texature. Let me see Texas, Dave, remember
- 48:16Speaker 3: no ceo of big pharmaceutical companies went to prison? Why not?
- 48:19Speaker 3: We lost loved ones and Morris he had a hand
- 48:22Speaker 3: in the money. Doesn't bring back loved ones, says a
- 48:25Speaker 3: Texter On Monday's show, We're gonna have the two candidates
- 48:30Speaker 3: for Knaw County Commission Republicans Chris Walters and Democrat Natalie
- 48:32Speaker 3: Tenant on the show for two segments. We aren't calling
- 48:35Speaker 3: it at debate, but calling it a forum, much like
- 48:37Speaker 3: the Cogubernatorial forum was on Tuesday night. I will take
- 48:41Speaker 3: text questions for the two commission candidates to the show,
- 48:46Speaker 3: and if you'd like to email me questions ahead of time,
- 48:48Speaker 3: you can do that. Email address is Dave dot ALENWV
- 48:52Speaker 3: radio dot com Dave dot Allen WV radio dot com
- 48:55Speaker 3: and that will air in the first two segments on
- 48:57Speaker 3: Monday's show. Texas, we don't need other Republicans to close
- 49:03Speaker 3: our schools and divide our communities to put more social
- 49:06Speaker 3: issues on the people. The Upper of Kanal Valley have
- 49:09Speaker 3: had a enough Texas. I live in the fifty fifth
- 49:13Speaker 3: district and from what I've seen this is for Linda.
- 49:17Speaker 3: You have run a very negative campaign. Do you think
- 49:19Speaker 3: the positive campaign wouldn't have worked out for you? Texas's
- 49:25Speaker 3: body is a hypocrite for railing against school choice but
- 49:28Speaker 3: sending her child to private school. Typical Democrat rules for
- 49:31Speaker 3: thee but not for me. Another one along those lines, Okay,
- 49:43Speaker 3: it's been a very negative campaign. Frankly hateful in this
- 49:46Speaker 3: race between Abodee and Acres. I'm sick of it. We
- 49:49Speaker 3: need real solutions for jobs, a kind ofy and other
- 49:51Speaker 3: real problems. All she is as negative. Count me out,
- 49:55Speaker 3: says a TEXTA. I want to take a quick break
- 49:57Speaker 3: from politics just for a moment to congratulate one of
- 50:02Speaker 3: our very own, and that is our own Bobby Spry,
- 50:05Speaker 3: my officemate upstairs. After a few years away from the
- 50:10Speaker 3: company here, Bobby's now rejoined the team here at eleven eleven,
- 50:13Speaker 3: and yesterday she was inducted into the twenty twenty four
- 50:16Speaker 3: class of West Virginia Living's Wonder Woman. So they had
- 50:21Speaker 3: a big luncheon and several others went in there too.
- 50:24Speaker 3: So I just wanted to say, proud of our girl.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Way to go, Roberta. We are very proud of you.
- 50:28Speaker 7: Here.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Tex says people around here care about jobs and inflation.
- 50:34Speaker 3: That candidate Linda only talks about social issues. She doesn't
- 50:38Speaker 3: get it. Tex said, going back to rob Real, he
- 50:44Speaker 3: couldn't walk the interstate not only because of safety, but
- 50:47Speaker 3: it's also against the federal law. Yeah, we trust me.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Before he set off on this journey, we made sure
- 50:53Speaker 3: that all of the laws were being followed, because the
- 50:56Speaker 3: last thing we want to do is when you are
- 50:58Speaker 3: trying to do something, you know, for WU children's hospitals,
- 51:02Speaker 3: to get thrown in jail. That was the last thing
- 51:04Speaker 3: that we would want to do. The Dave Allen Showing

- 51:23Speaker 3: mentioned early voting earlier. The early voting numbers continue to rise.
- 51:27Speaker 3: Canawha County Clerk Vera McCormick and her counterpart over in
- 51:30Speaker 3: Putnam County, Brian Wood and County Clerk over there are
- 51:33Speaker 3: saying that the early voting numbers are simply off the
- 51:36Speaker 3: charts and they are expected to rise a whole lot
- 51:39Speaker 3: over the next couple of days. Of course, you've got
- 51:41Speaker 3: today and you got tomorrow to early vote, and early
- 51:45Speaker 3: voting generally speaking, follows the hours of the courthouse, and
- 51:48Speaker 3: in Putnam County, the courthouse is open later on Thursday evening.
- 51:52Speaker 3: So if I am correct, and I should have followed
- 51:54Speaker 3: up on that and I didn't, I think they're going
- 51:56Speaker 3: to allow early voting until seven o'clock tonight at Putnham County.
- 51:58Speaker 3: And there's two locations to early vote in Putnam County.
- 52:02Speaker 3: You got Valley Park and you've also got the courthouse
- 52:04Speaker 3: in Winfield. And of course early voting will wrap up
- 52:08Speaker 3: on Saturday, and then we'll take a couple days of rest.
- 52:12Speaker 3: I guess not if you're a candidate. But then on
- 52:15Speaker 3: Tuesday is election Day. Polls open in West Virginia six
- 52:17Speaker 3: thirty am and close at seven thirty pm. We will
- 52:21Speaker 3: of course be on the air with our Decision twenty

- 52:27Speaker 3: back here on WCCHS, and of course Hoppy and Jeff
