- 0:05Speaker 1: My kids are so irritated with me because they think
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'm too harsh with them when they are in trouble,
- 0:14Speaker 1: and I had to let them know yesterday.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Listen, you think you have it so tough.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Your punishments are nothing in comparison to what me and
- 0:25Speaker 1: my siblings.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Got when we were growing up.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yeah, so Liam specifically, and I love the little guy,
- 0:31Speaker 1: but he is mouthy af.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Just like his mother, and so I can't be too bad.
- 0:38Speaker 4: The mouth hasn't fallen too far from the mouth tree exactly.
- 0:41Speaker 1: But I'm his mom, and I can't just let him
- 0:44Speaker 1: talk back to me and get away with it. And now,
- 0:48Speaker 1: growing up, if I talked back, I would get a
- 0:50Speaker 1: swift backhand to the mouth. But his punishment was to
- 0:55Speaker 1: not he can't play video games for a week, and
- 0:58Speaker 1: it ends on Sunday, and.
- 1:00Speaker 3: So seven days, seven days, and.
- 1:02Speaker 1: He's so mad, like that's not fair that wow, wow,
- 1:08Speaker 1: I can't believe it.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Seven days.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And it's like, bro, you have no idea what life
- 1:13Speaker 1: would have been like if my mom was raising you.
- 1:17Speaker 2: And so the thing is like.
- 1:19Speaker 1: The harshest punishment I've ever witnessed. And I promised I
- 1:23Speaker 1: would never do anything like this.
- 1:24Speaker 3: To my kids.
- 1:25Speaker 1: My sister when she was sixteen, it was her birthday,
- 1:29Speaker 1: and she went and she she got drunk, okay, and
- 1:32Speaker 1: I don't advocate for children getting drunk.
- 1:34Speaker 3: That's terrible.
- 1:35Speaker 1: However, like that's what my sister did. You grow, you
- 1:38Speaker 1: make mistakes whatever. So she got drunk on beer for
- 1:42Speaker 1: her sixteenth birthday at like a neighbor's house, and my
- 1:46Speaker 1: mom picked my sister up from that house because from
- 1:49Speaker 1: the backyard where my sister was stumbling and whatever.
- 1:52Speaker 2: She brings her.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Home and she's like, okay, you are grounded until you
- 1:57Speaker 1: were eighteenth birthday. My mom yeah, and grounded my sister
- 2:05Speaker 1: for two years. And that sounds like it's.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Fully not real.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Oh my mom stuck to this for two years. My
- 2:15Speaker 1: sister was not allowed to leave the house unless it
- 2:19Speaker 1: was to go to school or like if we went
- 2:23Speaker 1: out as a family somewhere, like she could go, but
- 2:26Speaker 1: she couldn't go hang out with her friends.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 2:28Speaker 1: My sister had to stay in the house and then
- 2:30Speaker 1: just go to school for two years.
- 2:33Speaker 2: My mom did not relent, I fully, like, was actually
- 2:37Speaker 2: that child abuse?
- 2:38Speaker 4: I don't know, I don't so funny to be this.
- 2:40Speaker 4: She just held on to that, mom. I mean, that's
- 2:44Speaker 4: that's an absolute gangster movie exactly.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Well, I told my kids this, and now they're very like, Okay,
- 2:50Speaker 1: that's fine. Any consequence is better than being grounded for
- 2:54Speaker 1: two years. I asked this on the Facebook page, what's
- 2:58Speaker 1: the harshest punishment I've ever received and why?
- 3:02Speaker 2: And we got a few good ones. Gabe, can you
- 3:06Speaker 2: pull that up for me?
- 3:07Speaker 4: I have got It's either Ivan or Yvonne, one of
- 3:11Speaker 4: the two.
- 3:11Speaker 3: He said.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I had to do extra farm chores because I ran
- 3:14Speaker 4: with my friends after school around town when I was
- 3:18Speaker 4: supposed to be home doing chores when the parents were gone.
- 3:21Speaker 4: And then it period was period worth period it. It
- 3:27Speaker 4: was worth it, he said.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I get that because it was just a few extra
- 3:31Speaker 2: chores and.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Not grounded for two years.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I remember once I got my guitar taken away for
- 3:37Speaker 4: a month, and I was sitting there kind of laughing like, oh,
- 3:40Speaker 4: this punishment's lame, Like, yeah, all right, I won't play
- 3:42Speaker 4: guitar for a month. Yeah, And after the third day,
- 3:44Speaker 4: I was going insane because I had been playing like
- 3:47Speaker 4: every day for like five six months.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I didn't just get it.
- 3:50Speaker 4: It wasn't brand new, yeah, but it was right when
- 3:52Speaker 4: you kind of start to think you're learning some stuff
- 3:55Speaker 4: and getting good and then yeah, I thought it was
- 3:58Speaker 4: the lamest punishment and lo and behold it's stunk.
- 4:02Speaker 3: It was terrible.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Did your parents stick to that?
- 4:04Speaker 4: No, my dad, this was my father, all right, Greg
- 4:07Speaker 4: glitten in a nutshell, all bark, zero bite. This dude,
- 4:12Speaker 4: you know, grounded for two weeks, YadA, YadA, YadA. He
- 4:15Speaker 4: this man in forty eight hours would break down. He'd
- 4:17Speaker 4: feel bad, he'd feel sorry for us, and he'd be like, well,
- 4:20Speaker 4: all right, you're not really grounded anymore.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Don't do it again.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Oh see that sounds like Chad's dad. Chad said that
- 4:27Speaker 1: he was told go wait for a spanking in the bathroom,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and then my dad made me sweat for twenty minutes.
- 4:33Speaker 3: And then told me to go to bed.
- 4:34Speaker 4: A fabulous idea. We like practicing gratitude. You know, it'd
- 4:40Speaker 4: be real dope if you won yourself a Ford.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd be great. That's a victory.
- 4:45Speaker 4: We'd want to hear about that little victory. And we
- 4:47Speaker 4: like starting the show off on a positive note every day,
- 4:49Speaker 4: so we always welcome to hear your little victories as well.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Sometimes it's just fun to tell someone when something good happens. Yes,
- 4:55Speaker 4: you know, you gotta tell people if something good happens
- 4:58Speaker 4: to you, because no one's gonn hype you out.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Better than yourself. Exactly.
- 5:01Speaker 4: That's right, Angie, what is your little victory on this Thursday?
- 5:08Speaker 1: I felt like the baddest beat in the land yesterday
- 5:12Speaker 1: because did.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Your buzz really good?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I'm sorry, I couldn't help.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I'm leaving.
- 5:20Speaker 4: No.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I got myself a library card right to the Fargo
- 5:26Speaker 1: Public Library.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Me and the kiddles and Mikey.
- 5:29Speaker 1: We all went, Oh, but Mikey doesn't have a North
- 5:31Speaker 1: Dakota ID yet. Oh, we didn't get to get one,
- 5:36Speaker 1: but I did. So I have a library card, and
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm very excited. I am obsessed with libraries. If I
- 5:43Speaker 1: could get married in a library, I would. And so
- 5:46Speaker 1: this was very exciting, and it was exciting for the
- 5:49Speaker 1: kids to be excited about checking out books and stuff. Also,
- 5:53Speaker 1: little life hack is that you can also check out,
- 5:56Speaker 1: like you can rent video games.
- 5:59Speaker 3: They at the library.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You can check out video games and so like our
- 6:04Speaker 1: thing is like you check out the video game and
- 6:07Speaker 1: if you like it, then we'll think about purchasing it. Oh,
- 6:11Speaker 1: but you can try them out and you can keep
- 6:13Speaker 1: them for three weeks. I mean magical. So I'm about
- 6:16Speaker 1: to spend so much time in the library. I'm really excited.
- 6:19Speaker 4: That is that's very cool. Actually, my little victory, I mean,
- 6:23Speaker 4: I don't really know if it's little. It's a pretty
- 6:24Speaker 4: big deal for my buddy. But my buddy uh Ian
- 6:27Speaker 4: or we all call him, say Sorr, he is getting
- 6:29Speaker 4: married on Saturday. And I will stand there loudly and proudly.
- 6:34Speaker 4: I'm assuming as like the fifth or sixth person in
- 6:37Speaker 4: the lit So what I've learned that means, though, is
- 6:41Speaker 4: when you're one of the grooms there, you get to
- 6:43Speaker 4: kind of walk out early, so you can really make it,
- 6:46Speaker 4: make an appearance. You can make yourself seen because you're
- 6:48Speaker 4: getting a lot of screen time.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yes, that's true.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So are you gonna do a thing like do you
- 6:53Speaker 1: have like a little gimmick a stick? Like, what are
- 6:55Speaker 1: you gonna do when you're standing up there as a groomsman?
- 6:58Speaker 4: I'm honestly, I'm gonna stand there and try my best
- 7:01Speaker 4: to just smile the whole time. Okay, don't want your
- 7:04Speaker 4: knees and like not half one eye at looking buzz no,
- 7:08Speaker 4: I'm just I'm just kidding. But it's gonna be a
- 7:11Speaker 4: lot of fun. I'm really happy for I'm really excited.
- 7:13Speaker 4: And his wife, Chelsea or to be wife, is really
- 7:15Speaker 4: really awesome and her and Corey are good friends.
- 7:18Speaker 3: So it's just cool to see.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Uh, you know, they're kind of full circle lifestyle starting
- 7:22Speaker 4: on Saturday, Angie.
- 7:33Speaker 3: When you hear the uh the name.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Blake, does that immediately scream attractiveness?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, are Blake's hot? Yeah, Blake's are hot? All right?
- 7:46Speaker 3: What about like coal? Oh a cols A cool? Sounds hot?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:53Speaker 3: All right?
- 7:53Speaker 4: I got one more for you. What about like a Zane?
- 7:58Speaker 1: I only know the one directions A yeah, and he's hot.
- 8:02Speaker 4: The reason I asked is chat GPT, I find to
- 8:06Speaker 4: be one of the most fascinating, you know, uses of
- 8:09Speaker 4: AI around, right, and we were kind of just joking
- 8:14Speaker 4: around in our office. Hey, what do you think are
- 8:16Speaker 4: some really like hot people names? So what do I do?
- 8:20Speaker 4: I go straight to my buddy chat GPT and I
- 8:23Speaker 4: was like, Hey, can you come up a list of
- 8:24Speaker 4: hot people names? I did this for guys and girls
- 8:28Speaker 4: and the fella's names that I gave. You made the list.
- 8:31Speaker 4: You know what also is on the list of hot
- 8:33Speaker 4: people names?
- 8:34Speaker 3: What Aiden? Oh, dud, that's the name of you. Well,
- 8:38Speaker 3: your oldest son.
- 8:38Speaker 1: My oldest son is Aiden. And obviously I'm not one
- 8:41Speaker 1: of those creepy moms.
- 8:42Speaker 3: But he's a handsome kid. Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And whenever anyone tells me like, oh, your kid is
- 8:48Speaker 1: so like he's so handsome, I'm like, yeah, I made him.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Oh so you take a tiny bit of credit. I
- 8:53Speaker 3: take all the credits, all of it.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I take. He looks so much like me and a yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 1: so he does, but that just means that I would
- 9:04Speaker 1: look better as a man.
- 9:07Speaker 2: So yeah, so Aiden.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Hot seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 9:13Speaker 3: What is the name?
- 9:14Speaker 4: You hear someone's telling you a story and you know
- 9:17Speaker 4: they say this name, You're like, oh, that person's probably
- 9:20Speaker 4: good looking.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah, do you have some names like that? Angie?
- 9:24Speaker 4: Of course I did this for the ladies as well. Okay,
- 9:27Speaker 4: do you I know the hottest lady name ever? Tell
- 9:30Speaker 4: me Cory.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, that's your wife, the hop ever.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Okay, now what's the real one?
- 9:39Speaker 1: No, your wife is hot though, so like that's.
- 9:44Speaker 4: True, right, that's right on this list here? What we
- 9:49Speaker 4: have at number one. I think you can do kind
- 9:51Speaker 4: of a combo here, and this was one we were
- 9:53Speaker 4: joking around with the coworker in the building. But anytime
- 9:56Speaker 4: like on Alexa or alexis oh that is smoking hot
- 10:00Speaker 4: is number one on the chat GPT.
- 10:02Speaker 1: You know, I think that's the name of the embezzling
- 10:05Speaker 1: battie and she's hot.
- 10:08Speaker 3: We've got Brooke at the second one.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Also, Chloe, Jessica, Kayla, Madeline, Madison, excuse me, Natalie, kind
- 10:17Speaker 4: of rounding off the top, seng.
- 10:18Speaker 1: All of those are hot people names. But missing I
- 10:21Speaker 1: think is Veronica. I think Veronica is such. Any time
- 10:25Speaker 1: I hear the name Veronica, I'm like, oh, she's probably hot.
- 10:28Speaker 1: In fact, when I travel to other cities, I'm not
- 10:31Speaker 1: a world traveler or anything, but and I don't want
- 10:34Speaker 1: like to tell people my name, like guys that come
- 10:37Speaker 1: and like hit on me or whatever, I tell them
- 10:40Speaker 1: that my name is Veronica, because I don't like that's
- 10:43Speaker 1: a yeah. I want to feel hot, and so I'm like, yeah,
- 10:45Speaker 1: oh I'm Veronica. That's a hot girl name.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I could see that. You know.
- 10:50Speaker 4: The two names I didn't put on this list that
- 10:53Speaker 4: were added to chat GPT, what Gabriel and Angie.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I've never met an attractive game brilliant.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Charlie Sheen's new documentary just dropped on Netflix.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I'm already watching it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm not even finished with it, but there were already
- 11:14Speaker 1: so many bombshell revelations in it, and so it made
- 11:18Speaker 1: me want to play a little game with you.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Gabe called oh no, Sheen didn't.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Okay, And basically that's pretty good, thank you.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Basically it's like, did this actually happen or oh no.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Sheen didn't. Okay, easy peasy.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I'm just I'm gonna have you. I want you to guess. Okay,
- 11:37Speaker 1: So this was the first one. His real name is
- 11:41Speaker 1: Carlos Guillermo Estevez.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Is that real or not? Or oh no, she didn't.
- 11:49Speaker 4: I'm gonna guess. Well, his brother's name's Emelia or Gordon Bombay.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I'm gonna say that that is true. People in Hollywood
- 11:57Speaker 4: change their name a lot.
- 11:58Speaker 1: He did change his name, but I lied to you.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's actually Carlos Erwin Esteves, not Geear. So, oh no,
- 12:07Speaker 1: Sheen did, Oh no, she did? Okay, Okay. His parents
- 12:11Speaker 1: practiced nudism, so like he would just be in the
- 12:15Speaker 1: house and then he'd see his parents just naked walking around.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Uh, you know what, I'm gonna say, that's true. That
- 12:22Speaker 3: is true. Sounds like a story Charlie Sheen would tell.
- 12:24Speaker 3: That is true.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It was back when he was like six years old
- 12:28Speaker 1: and they only practiced for like five months.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Oh okay, that's to be honest, that's plenty. He grew
- 12:35Speaker 3: up rich. I'm gonna say, Oh no, Sheen didn't humble beginnings. Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So even though Martin Martin Sheen like already was a
- 12:46Speaker 1: you know, a star. Yeah, they grew up pretty humble beginnings.
- 12:50Speaker 1: There wasn't like a big old man chin or anything.
- 12:52Speaker 1: They were just kind of chilling.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Well when did so was his dad's like maybe biggest
- 12:57Speaker 4: show west Wing.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I mean in the later years. But you gotta remember
- 13:02Speaker 2: Martin Sheen was in Apocalypse Now.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, and he actually took Charlie Sheen on
- 13:06Speaker 1: set with him for that.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Okay, there's two more.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Clint Eastwood called in for Charlie Sheen's first intervention. Clint
- 13:16Speaker 1: Eastwood went, Eastwood, did that happen or oh no.
- 13:19Speaker 4: She didn't, Man, that's toff. I'm gonna say, oh no,
- 13:25Speaker 4: Sheen didn't. I'm gonna guess it was one of his
- 13:27Speaker 4: dadder brother.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Well, they helped stage the intervention. Clint Eastwood wasn't there,
- 13:32Speaker 1: but he did call him and he said something along
- 13:35Speaker 1: the lines of.
- 13:36Speaker 3: You gotta get the train back on the tracks, kid.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Really, Yeah, I'm gonna have to watch this. I just
- 13:41Speaker 4: kind of forgot yesterday. I'm gonna have to watch this.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It's so fascinating.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And then finally, did Charlie Sheen pilot a plane with
- 13:48Speaker 1: three hundred people while he was hammered?
- 13:53Speaker 4: Is that that sounds exactly like a Charlie Sheen story
- 13:56Speaker 4: to me when he was you know, tiger blooding it up?
- 13:58Speaker 3: It is true, that is true.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he was on a plane. He had just gotten married,
- 14:04Speaker 1: and then he took a bunch of shops because they
- 14:07Speaker 1: were not having a good time, went into the cockpit.
- 14:09Speaker 1: The pilot was like, oh, let's take a picture, and
- 14:12Speaker 1: he just kept being like, okay, well, it'd be cool
- 14:14Speaker 1: if I had your jacket on, though, Well, it'd be
- 14:16Speaker 1: cool if I also had your captains on.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Well, it'd be cool if I was sitting in the chair. Well,
- 14:21Speaker 2: it would also be cool if I, like maybe was
- 14:24Speaker 2: actually running it.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And then they let him, and they even took it
- 14:27Speaker 1: off of autopilot and then yeah, and then when clearly
- 14:32Speaker 1: a hammered Charlie Sheen can't pilot a plane, they were like, oh,
- 14:35Speaker 1: let's turn that back on. But there's a polaroid picture
- 14:38Speaker 1: as evidence, so that was not an Oh no she didn't.
- 14:44Speaker 3: He sure did.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Yeah. I have never been more interested in this documentary
- 14:48Speaker 4: on DA Right now.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It is time for am I the problem? Where you
- 14:58Speaker 1: send us your side of the story and we help
- 15:01Speaker 1: you figure out if you're in the right or if maybe,
- 15:04Speaker 1: just maybe you are the problem. Andrea has reached out
- 15:10Speaker 1: to us, and I like this. This is a little
- 15:13Speaker 1: case of sibling rivalry, favoritism.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Oh, something we all go through.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Yes, Gabe, Angie tell me I'm not the problem.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Oh all right.
- 15:23Speaker 4: I actually kind of like that, coming in with a
- 15:26Speaker 4: little bit of an attitude.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I'm a fan of that.
- 15:28Speaker 2: We'll see how this goes. She says.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I used to live with my mom, but now that
- 15:32Speaker 1: I started college and DSU, my dad, who's lived in
- 15:36Speaker 1: Fargo for ten years with my stepmom, asked me to
- 15:38Speaker 1: move in with him, and I accepted. He has three
- 15:42Speaker 1: step sons who are a little older than me and
- 15:45Speaker 1: all still live with him and his wife. I told
- 15:48Speaker 1: my dad that if I move in with him, I'm
- 15:50Speaker 1: gonna need my own bathroom because I don't want to
- 15:53Speaker 1: share with three guys.
- 15:54Speaker 2: He agreed.
- 15:55Speaker 1: So basically, my stepbrothers share a bathroom and I have
- 15:58Speaker 1: a bathroom for myself. My dad and my stepmom have
- 16:01Speaker 1: a bathroom for themselves as well. Now my stepbrothers think
- 16:05Speaker 1: it's not fair and I should share with one of them.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I told them that if they have a problem, then
- 16:11Speaker 1: maybe it's time for them to move out. My dad
- 16:15Speaker 1: is the owner of the house and said this bathroom
- 16:18Speaker 1: is just mine, so I'm not sharing.
- 16:20Speaker 2: End of discussion. They think I'm being a B word.
- 16:23Speaker 3: What do you think? I do? Love the dagger right there? Well,
- 16:27Speaker 3: if you don't like it, leave I love it. Yeah.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Ah, what do you think?
- 16:31Speaker 1: Seven one two, eight oh one, nine eighty seven is
- 16:34Speaker 1: Andrea the problem?
- 16:36Speaker 2: I understand.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I'm a girl and I live in a house of
- 16:40Speaker 1: all boys. There's Mikey and then my two sons. One's
- 16:43Speaker 1: a teenager, one is eight, and so like everyone's messy.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Everyone is a mess and I loathe sharing any space
- 16:53Speaker 1: with any of them, and so I get it.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I get not wanting to share, but she.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Girl, you can't just say well then you better move out, right.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I think that's that you just moved in, right, And
- 17:07Speaker 2: so I think she.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Just went about it really And it's not like all
- 17:11Speaker 1: three of them want to share the bathroom with her.
- 17:14Speaker 1: It's just you can't take one step brother. Why don't
- 17:16Speaker 1: you like have them do some sort of a contest
- 17:19Speaker 1: to see which is the cleaner, yeah, of the three,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and then maybe share with that one. I feel like
- 17:25Speaker 1: she's unwilling to compromise, and that's where I.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Think Andrea is the problem.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it is.
- 17:32Speaker 4: If they've lived there for this long and you're just
- 17:34Speaker 4: now living there and you're kind of planting the flag
- 17:37Speaker 4: and I get my own bathroom, that is a little
- 17:39Speaker 4: bit messed up. But speaking as a dude, I have
- 17:42Speaker 4: a younger sister and an older brother. If my younger
- 17:44Speaker 4: sister wanted or you know, felt she needed her own
- 17:49Speaker 4: bathroom as we got to being in that college age,
- 17:52Speaker 4: yeah she could have had a bathroom by herself. Now,
- 17:55Speaker 4: when I was fourteen fifteen, I'd have been like, absolutely not,
- 17:59Speaker 4: this is ridiculous. But I think these brothers kind of
- 18:03Speaker 4: just need to understand that they have a younger sister
- 18:05Speaker 4: who's eighteen. You know, she's becoming a woman type scenario.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Just let her have the bathroom.
- 18:11Speaker 4: You three will be fine grossing it up, stinking it up, beard,
- 18:15Speaker 4: hair everywhere. Just deal with it yourself. No, you can
- 18:18Speaker 4: have the bathroom. I don't like she is in a
- 18:20Speaker 4: house full of three older brothers. She is going to
- 18:25Speaker 4: be ganged up on more times than not. Let her
- 18:28Speaker 4: have this one win while she goes through a series
- 18:32Speaker 4: of losses on a daily basis.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Okay, I can't believe I'm not on her side.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Normally I would be, but I just I don't think
- 18:40Speaker 1: she went about it the right way. It also rubbed
- 18:42Speaker 1: me the wrong way when she said my dad is
- 18:45Speaker 1: the owner of the house. I think that that's I
- 18:48Speaker 1: don't like that divide that she's putting there because now,
- 18:51Speaker 1: like you think you're better just because you're not a
- 18:54Speaker 1: step child.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Yeah, she does make it sound like they just got together,
- 18:58Speaker 4: and they've been together for five months. It's been a decade. Okay,
- 19:02Speaker 4: let my dad my mom think kind of go a
- 19:04Speaker 4: little bit. Yeah, you know, let it go just a
- 19:06Speaker 4: little bit. Well, you don't have to love your stepmom
- 19:08Speaker 4: or call her mom. But by a decade you think
- 19:12Speaker 4: my dad own that's a little bit wild, That's.
- 19:14Speaker 2: What I'm saying.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I don't like she didn't come correct with the attitude.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I don't like that.
- 19:19Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 19:20Speaker 4: Just let her have the bathroom. She can have it.
- 19:22Speaker 4: It's good, It'll be all right.
- 19:24Speaker 2: No, I don't like it. Seven oh one too, eight
- 19:26Speaker 2: on one nine eight seven? Who do you agree with me?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Or Gabe? Is Andrea the problem?
- 19:36Speaker 3: The problem?
- 19:38Speaker 1: Andrea wrote into us asking if she's the problem. She
- 19:41Speaker 1: just started college at in DSU and so she moved
- 19:44Speaker 1: in with her dad and stepmom. So she's got three
- 19:49Speaker 1: step brothers who also live in the house. But her
- 19:52Speaker 1: dad promised her her own bathroom so that she doesn't
- 19:55Speaker 1: have to share with gross, stinky boys. But now the
- 20:00Speaker 1: blame or not her stepbrothers are saying, hey, this isn't fair.
- 20:04Speaker 1: You should pick one of us and share with one
- 20:07Speaker 1: of us, because it's not fair for you to have
- 20:09Speaker 1: your own bathroom. Andrea fired back and was like, well,
- 20:12Speaker 1: my dad owns this house and he said I can
- 20:15Speaker 1: have my own bathroom. So no, and if you don't
- 20:18Speaker 1: like it, maybe you should move out and she wanted
- 20:21Speaker 1: to know she was the problem.
- 20:22Speaker 4: I'll be honest, that's a hilarious statement. Yeah, like, well,
- 20:25Speaker 4: why don't you just leap?
- 20:26Speaker 3: But you just leap?
- 20:27Speaker 2: Excuse me, I've been living here.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I find that hilarious.
- 20:30Speaker 1: We post this question on the Big ninety eight Points
- 20:33Speaker 1: I'm on Facebook page also, and Ashley said I think
- 20:37Speaker 1: she should pick a brother and share, and I totally.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Agree with that.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, because they didn't say you have to share with
- 20:44Speaker 2: all three of us. Just pick one.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Brother, right, I see, I think the brothers should go.
- 20:50Speaker 4: You know what, we our stepsister hasn't lived here forever.
- 20:53Speaker 4: This is a great time to spend some time with her,
- 20:56Speaker 4: hang out with her, maybe a little more.
- 20:58Speaker 3: We can give her this win. Just let her have
- 21:01Speaker 3: the bathroom.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Now.
- 21:02Speaker 4: I have an idea on how we could go about
- 21:04Speaker 4: maybe this share thing, and you had kind of touched
- 21:07Speaker 4: on it earlier. All right, pick the brother that's the
- 21:10Speaker 4: cleanest and share. Here's what you do. Each of them
- 21:14Speaker 4: gets a trial run for one week. Okay, okay, do
- 21:17Speaker 4: you know what they're all gonna do? Now, be on
- 21:20Speaker 4: their cleanest best behavior for seven days, so you get
- 21:24Speaker 4: three weeks of basically the cleanest bathroom you've ever had,
- 21:28Speaker 4: and then going forward, that's just the expectation. They know
- 21:31Speaker 4: exactly how it's supposed to be. Guys are dumb. You
- 21:33Speaker 4: make it a competition. I promise you it's not only
- 21:37Speaker 4: just going to be naturally clean or whatever. They're gonna
- 21:39Speaker 4: be in there with wind decks on the mirrors. They'll
- 21:42Speaker 4: have the four h nine in the sink, get bing
- 21:44Speaker 4: us into a little competition.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I know I've never said this, and I probably never
- 21:48Speaker 1: will ever again, but you're a genius.
- 21:57Speaker 4: One thing about the workplace is it can breed competition, Okay.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Ice Spice recently came out and said, and she specifically
- 22:07Speaker 4: was talking about female rappers about how there's just something
- 22:13Speaker 4: about it where they all like to kind of have
- 22:17Speaker 4: a little bit of beef a just to keep it interesting,
- 22:21Speaker 4: but they enjoy that friendly competition with each other, and
- 22:24Speaker 4: she said it's what keeps the spark. I could be
- 22:29Speaker 4: the best. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 4: as you go about it in the right.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Way, I think there's nothing wrong with like healthy, friendly competition.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Like I'm always striving.
- 22:41Speaker 2: To be just a little bit better than you, Gabe,
- 22:43Speaker 2: that's right.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Yeah, And I'm just in here, so I just kidding.
- 22:49Speaker 4: I'm just kidding. But you know, think about it, Coca cola.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Without Coca cola, we probably don't have PEPSI.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. And some people like one, some people like
- 22:57Speaker 3: the other.
- 22:58Speaker 4: But the fact that there are those two options it
- 23:00Speaker 4: forces them to not get lazy or put out a
- 23:03Speaker 4: horrible product. And that can go for just about anything.
- 23:07Speaker 4: And I was just curious, is there someone at work
- 23:10Speaker 4: friendly or not? But is there someone at work that
- 23:12Speaker 4: you'd be willing to share you are in competition with?
- 23:16Speaker 4: Let us know it's seven oh one two eight zero
- 23:18Speaker 4: one nine eight seven here at Big ninety eight point seven.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 23:22Speaker 4: The guy who's on in the afternoon, James. He is
- 23:26Speaker 4: so good when it comes like then I'm trying to
- 23:29Speaker 4: get I'm not trying to get radio nerd on you,
- 23:31Speaker 4: but he is so good at making radio commercials.
- 23:33Speaker 2: At least I think, Oh yes, no, I agree.
- 23:35Speaker 4: I'm heartily every time I hear one of his commercials,
- 23:39Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm you know, this next commercial I make,
- 23:42Speaker 4: I'm gonna try to make this a banger, you know, Yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 4: Like I'm always trying to be around his level when
- 23:48Speaker 4: it comes to making ads or whatever. So that's when
- 23:50Speaker 4: I'm after the show's done and I'm doing whatever over there. Yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 4: I'm nitpicking commercials way more than I probably probably should.
- 23:59Speaker 3: I love this.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I'm nowhere near either of your levels, and so I'm
- 24:04Speaker 1: just like, I'm gonna let them go at it. I'm
- 24:07Speaker 1: not terrible, obviously, I'm confident in my job, but that's
- 24:10Speaker 1: not the space where I don't feel like I'm in
- 24:11Speaker 1: competition with anyone in this building, friendly or otherwise, just
- 24:16Speaker 1: because I think I'm like the only girl like yeah,
- 24:20Speaker 1: I mean, and Megan is on in like after us,
- 24:23Speaker 1: but I don't feel competition. I feel like we hype
- 24:25Speaker 1: each other up a lot and like it's fine, Yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 1: it's good.
- 24:29Speaker 4: A lot of the ladies in the on air side
- 24:32Speaker 4: of the building over here, everyone seems so I don't know,
- 24:34Speaker 4: like friendly towards each Yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 2: We're very chill, We're very hype queen for each other.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:38Speaker 4: No, I'm sure you all want to do well respectively.
- 24:40Speaker 4: But yeah, but at the same time, you guys are
- 24:43Speaker 4: very like lady positive towards each other.
- 24:46Speaker 1: But I will say when I work in Idaho, there
- 24:49Speaker 1: was a girl named Michelle like I. I had a
- 24:53Speaker 1: lot of competition in a building in Idaho where it
- 24:58Speaker 1: was kind of like Caddy.
- 25:01Speaker 3: All really yeah wow, not on my ends.
- 25:03Speaker 2: I've never been care.
- 25:04Speaker 3: How I doubt it. Bryce, Do you have any competition
- 25:09Speaker 3: at work? Man? I have this guy at my job, Neil, and.
- 25:12Speaker 4: He's just a huge suck up.
- 25:13Speaker 1: He's always right there when the box needs him and
- 25:15Speaker 1: basically does everything he's told right away. I mean, I
- 25:18Speaker 1: do too, but Neil is just non stop.
- 25:21Speaker 3: It's like he doesn't have a life at home.
- 25:23Speaker 4: He lives to work. This guy, he's friendly, but I
- 25:27Speaker 4: don't know, I just don't like him.
- 25:28Speaker 3: You know what I will say, you name dropped him twice.
- 25:30Speaker 4: I was gonna say, I love that Bryce had the
- 25:33Speaker 4: gumption to say yeah, Neil's name out loud.
- 25:36Speaker 3: We do have Melissa on the phone as well, Melissa,
- 25:38Speaker 3: what about you? My work rival is Dave in accounting.
- 25:42Speaker 3: We race to finished reports first and trash talk a
- 25:45Speaker 3: little bit, but it's all friendly. We still grab lunch
- 25:48Speaker 3: together after.
- 25:48Speaker 4: You know, it's so funny whenever I'm making up a
- 25:51Speaker 4: name and a job for a scenario here a bit.
- 25:54Speaker 4: I've always used Dave in accounting. It's that it's funny
- 25:58Speaker 4: to think there's a real people gave to Phase Variety,
- 26:04Speaker 4: Big ninety eight point seven, it's gave an Angie, Sunshine
- 26:07Speaker 4: and seventy nine. And I want to know, is there
- 26:10Speaker 4: something in your life that you regret, whether it's funny, interesting, unique.
- 26:16Speaker 4: I saw this story the other day, which it kind
- 26:18Speaker 4: of reminded me back to my high school days.
- 26:20Speaker 3: But it's kind of a bummer of a story.
- 26:22Speaker 4: There was this study done on kids in America in
- 26:26Speaker 4: eighth grade and twelfth grade and it basically said, how
- 26:29Speaker 4: the math, science, and reading scores are at like an
- 26:31Speaker 4: all time low.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Well that's terrible.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Yeah, And it was kind of a a shot to
- 26:36Speaker 4: the gut. I was just like, you know, if I
- 26:38Speaker 4: was in one of those grades right now, I would
- 26:40Speaker 4: have contributed to that low score. I probably should have
- 26:45Speaker 4: tried a little bit harder. I wish I would have
- 26:47Speaker 4: maybe gave a little more effort, applied yourself a little
- 26:50Speaker 4: bit more. You know, I could have gone on to
- 26:52Speaker 4: be a scientist.
- 26:53Speaker 2: No, we don't need you in a lab.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I could to be a lawyer or something.
- 26:58Speaker 1: No, No, I like you right here. I'm Dake ninety
- 27:02Speaker 1: eight point seven. I have a high school regret, but
- 27:05Speaker 1: it's very vain. I should have gotten braces in high school.
- 27:11Speaker 3: I had the.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Opportunity to get braces in high school and I said no.
- 27:15Speaker 1: And now my teeth are raggedy, jaggedy, ugly, and I
- 27:18Speaker 1: don't like it.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I don't They're not great.
- 27:22Speaker 1: And my sister, of the I'm one of four kids.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Of the four, I'm the only one who has like
- 27:29Speaker 1: crooked teeth. My sister has a coldgate smile, so hate
- 27:33Speaker 1: her forever. And my brothers have straight, beautiful teeth. And
- 27:37Speaker 1: I'm just the one, the lucky one that got these
- 27:40Speaker 1: like raggedy chompers. And I could have fixed it in
- 27:44Speaker 1: high school. But the reason I turned it down is
- 27:47Speaker 1: because I already had to wear glasses.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Your girl was.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Not doing well and so I already had to wear glasses,
- 27:53Speaker 1: and I was like, mom, I can't have glasses and
- 27:57Speaker 1: braces and high girl.
- 28:00Speaker 2: It is when you're a teenager.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Yeah, teen And.
- 28:03Speaker 1: So looking back, like, I really regret that decision because
- 28:07Speaker 1: now I have contacts and that's fine, but these teeth,
- 28:10Speaker 1: I till you.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I regret not growing taller, that's you know what
- 28:14Speaker 4: I mean? Seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 28:18Speaker 4: eight seven. I still believe that if I was six
- 28:20Speaker 4: foot one, i'd.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Be in the league. What are you?
- 28:23Speaker 2: Five seven?
- 28:25Speaker 3: No?
- 28:25Speaker 4: No, god, no, I'm like five nine ish, like a
- 28:28Speaker 4: little I'm not quite like five to ten, but I'm
- 28:31Speaker 4: right around five nine. Is I believe you one, I'd
- 28:34Speaker 4: be in the league.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I believe you that you're five to nine because no
- 28:37Speaker 1: guy who like you, they.
- 28:39Speaker 2: Usually round up.
- 28:41Speaker 4: I'm rounding down. Yeah, you got Melanie. Your biggest regret,
- 28:45Speaker 4: Turney got a job.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Offer right out of college because I was scared it
- 28:49Speaker 1: ended up being the exact career I wanted.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Years later, I turned down a few jobs right after
- 28:53Speaker 4: school because I was like, I got to move all
- 28:55Speaker 4: the way out here by myself, and I know, yeah,
- 28:58Speaker 4: it wasn't confident enough to do it all. We do
- 29:01Speaker 4: have Tim as well. Tim Your biggest regret, I'd say.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Not pursuing a sports career When I was in school.
- 29:06Speaker 3: I was a great football player, and I've always wondered
- 29:08Speaker 3: what it'd be like to make it into the NFL.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Is that your best friend game? Are you guys both
- 29:13Speaker 2: in the same mode?
- 29:14Speaker 4: Sometimes that's not your choice, though, you know what I mean.
- 29:16Speaker 4: You don't get to just choose to go to the NFL.
- 29:18Speaker 4: That's not all that works.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Otherwise I'd be in the league.
- 29:28Speaker 4: At Hudson Cafe, there's an eleven year old named James
- 29:32Speaker 4: Murphy who's been winning over customers with his energy and kindness.
- 29:36Speaker 4: He's a sixth grader and he volunteers at the restaurant
- 29:39Speaker 4: when he's not in school. He does things like carrying
- 29:42Speaker 4: the water and greeting tables with a smile.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Guests like Maria and Jill.
- 29:47Speaker 4: They describe him as sweet, hard working, and really careful,
- 29:52Speaker 4: noting how much he adds to their experience. James's mother,
- 29:56Speaker 4: her name is Jessica, and she runs at and she
- 29:59Speaker 4: runs at the bar cafe and says her son chooses
- 30:02Speaker 4: to be there on his own. She says that he's
- 30:05Speaker 4: been coming to work with his parents since he was
- 30:07Speaker 4: born and he just loves spending time with them. Cafe
- 30:10Speaker 4: owner Tom he praised James for always making sure he
- 30:14Speaker 4: finished his homework. Then he shows up early and helps
- 30:17Speaker 4: the staff, and he's called the cafe's mascot. Along with
- 30:22Speaker 4: his service, James makes handmade thank you cards featuring drawings
- 30:26Speaker 4: of the cafe, which he personally delivers to diners, who
- 30:29Speaker 4: says the cards brighten their day.
- 30:32Speaker 3: He said he.
- 30:32Speaker 4: Enjoys helping people and having fun and sharing his art,
- 30:35Speaker 4: but his biggest joy is being with mom.
- 30:38Speaker 3: What she calls her proudest achievement.
- 30:40Speaker 4: If I sat down at a restaurant and a sweet,
- 30:42Speaker 4: adorable eleven year old came up and gave me a
- 30:44Speaker 4: hand draw like thing that they drew, yeah, and just
- 30:47Speaker 4: wish me a happy day or a good life or whatever,
- 30:51Speaker 4: that'd be adorable.
- 30:52Speaker 3: That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
- 30:53Speaker 2: One hundred percent.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And if I could get my kid to say his
- 30:57Speaker 1: favorite thing is hanging out with me, that would be
- 31:00Speaker 1: a miracle.
- 31:02Speaker 4: No, it'd be a it'd be just a good w
- 31:05Speaker 4: it would be americ. Well, the world's full of nice people.
- 31:08Speaker 4: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
