- 0:51Speaker 2: maturity in the spirit. Yes, that's what we do here.
- 0:55Speaker 2: We go verse by verse through the Word of God
- 0:58Speaker 2: and we hold each other accountable on this podcast.

- 1:35Speaker 2: on that narrow road. We're walking down this path together,
- 1:39Speaker 2: encouraging each other, looking into the Word of God.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:42Speaker 2: The Word of God is our map, it is our guide,
- 1:46Speaker 2: and so we look intently into the Word together because
- 1:50Speaker 2: we believe that the ungrafted word is able to save
- 1:53Speaker 2: our souls, and we try to snatch those who are
- 1:57Speaker 2: on that broad road that least to destruction. And the
- 2:01Speaker 2: Bible say there are many who travel that broad road
- 2:06Speaker 2: and it doesn't have to be. All it takes is
- 2:09Speaker 2: one decision. One decision to receive Christ in our lives
- 2:14Speaker 2: is our Lord and savior and our destiny can be changed. Amen, hallelujah.

- 3:09Speaker 2: I just want to say, my brothers, you guys are
- 3:12Speaker 2: encouraging me to keep going. It's nice to see people
- 3:16Speaker 2: that will show up and support it is not unnoticed. Amen, hallelujah.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And I pray that God will bless you and that
- 3:26Speaker 2: you guys are getting a lot out of this community here.
- 3:33Speaker 2: All right. With that, let's go before Father and prayer Emily. Father,
- 3:38Speaker 2: we thank you Father for another chance, another opportunity, Father God,
- 3:42Speaker 2: to come together, another chance, Father God, to go through
- 3:46Speaker 2: your word. Father God, help us Lord to make disciples
- 3:50Speaker 2: of all nations. Lord, we pray that this podcast will
- 3:52Speaker 2: go out to the masses and that it will bless them.
- 3:56Speaker 2: God give them an understanding, Open up scriptures, open up
- 4:00Speaker 2: the truth, Oh God, to their hearts and minds. O God,
- 4:03Speaker 2: that we will pierce all darkness, and that we will
- 4:07Speaker 2: devastate and destroy and put an end to the rule
- 4:11Speaker 2: of Satan. And we ask this in the mighty name
- 4:14Speaker 2: of Jesus. Amen.
- 4:21Speaker 1: All right, all right.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I'm always excited when we get to start a new chapter,
- 4:25Speaker 2: when we go verse by verse, chapter by chapter through
- 4:29Speaker 2: the Word of God. You know, the basic function of
- 4:34Speaker 2: a Bible study or a ministry is to get into
- 4:38Speaker 2: God's Word and explain exactly what it means. Right, We're
- 4:43Speaker 2: not supposed to put our own philosophy in it, our
- 4:46Speaker 2: own bent, our own twist. We're not supposed to taminate it.
- 4:51Speaker 2: We're not supposed to just get involved in church hype.
- 4:54Speaker 2: If your church is not teaching you the Word, then
- 4:59Speaker 2: your church is feeling the call of God. Amen. And
- 5:05Speaker 2: so going through chapter by chapter, verse by verse, I
- 5:09Speaker 2: believe that is the best way we can get all
- 5:13Speaker 2: of the counsel of the Word of God. This is
- 5:16Speaker 2: God's love letter to us, and this is how we
- 5:19Speaker 2: develop a relationship with him. We learn his character, we
- 5:23Speaker 2: learn who he is. He reveals himself to us through
- 5:27Speaker 2: the Word. And so I pray that you guys will
- 5:31Speaker 2: get that out of our time together and grab your bibles,
- 5:34Speaker 2: you know, paths and highlighters as we start acts chapter
- 5:39Speaker 2: fifteen today. And this is the Jerusalem Council. Amen. Now
- 5:45Speaker 2: this chapter, you can say, is a part of my testimony.
- 5:50Speaker 2: And you I'll unfolded as we go through the verses,
- 5:54Speaker 2: and hopefully you'll get a better understanding of what I
- 5:57Speaker 2: mean by that. Right. So verse one it says, well,
- 6:04Speaker 2: little background, real quick. Remember Paul and Barnabas just came
- 6:08Speaker 2: back from their ministry journey. They suffered persecution, they suffered praise,
- 6:15Speaker 2: they almost got became deedy people wanted to worship and
- 6:21Speaker 2: sacrifice to them, and they had to stop that, and
- 6:24Speaker 2: they had to persevere, and they came back to the
- 6:27Speaker 2: sending Church in Antioch, and now they're resting and getting
- 6:30Speaker 2: strengthened by the community. Now Antioch is descending church, but
- 6:36Speaker 2: Jerusalem is the mother Church. The faith was birth out
- 6:43Speaker 2: of Jerusalem. That was the first church that was established. Amen.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And so we're gonna go back to the mother Church.
- 6:53Speaker 2: In this chapter, So a certain man came down from
- 6:56Speaker 2: Judah Judea and taught the brother unless you are circumcised,
- 7:03Speaker 2: according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved. Now,
- 7:11Speaker 2: I think it's very interesting that they call this man
- 7:13Speaker 2: a brethren me and that he's teaching a false doctrine here.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And you'll see what I mean as we unfold everything. Now,
- 7:26Speaker 2: false teachers were adding works to salvation. That's what I
- 7:31Speaker 2: mean by false doctrine. He is a false teaching. He's adding.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Whenever you add something to the work of Christ, you
- 7:42Speaker 2: are adding to the Word. Right now, the thing that
- 7:50Speaker 2: is deceptive about this thing is that they were not
- 7:52Speaker 2: denying Christ. They didn't deny him. They were just adding
- 7:56Speaker 2: to them. They were adding to the work of Jesus.
- 8:01Speaker 2: And when you do that, that is very, very dangerous.
- 8:05Speaker 2: You see, salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone.
- 8:11Speaker 2: This is what the Bible tells us right now. Adding
- 8:18Speaker 2: works to salvation nullifies grace. And Paul explains this very clearly.
- 8:28Speaker 2: If righteousness comes by the law, then Christ died in vain.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Now that's in Galatians chapter two, verse twenty one. If
- 8:40Speaker 2: we could be justified at all by the law of Moses,
- 8:44Speaker 2: then why would Jesus come and die on the cross
- 8:49Speaker 2: the way that he did. See, sometimes you just got
- 8:53Speaker 2: to put two and two together right now, excuse me,
- 9:01Speaker 2: legalism treats in suddenly. Now, this is something that we
- 9:07Speaker 2: must understand. People feel safer with rules than working to
- 9:18Speaker 2: have a relationship with God. Let me say that again.
- 9:22Speaker 2: People tend to feel safer just trying to obey a rule.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It's kind of more easier right to the flesh. It's
- 9:30Speaker 2: kind of like the lazy way instead of working. It
- 9:34Speaker 2: takes effort to actually build a relationship with God. Now,
- 9:40Speaker 2: this is the spirit of religion trying to strangle freedom.
- 9:49Speaker 2: And as I said, this is a part of my testimony.
- 9:55Speaker 2: The Greek word for saved is Soulso s o zo
- 9:59Speaker 2: means rescued and or delivered in the Greek, so soo
- 10:08Speaker 2: rescued or delivered? Are we rescued by surgery or by
- 10:17Speaker 2: the Savior? Now, if we add law to grace, we're
- 10:25Speaker 2: saying the Cross was not enough, and that is highly
- 10:31Speaker 2: offensive to God. If we add law to the grace
- 10:37Speaker 2: of God, then we are offending God in saying that
- 10:44Speaker 2: Jesus was not enough, the price that he paid was
- 10:49Speaker 2: not sufficient. That is a lie straight from the pit
- 10:53Speaker 2: of hell. Now, if you can tell I'm passionate about
- 10:58Speaker 2: this topic, because I was attacked by this in my
- 11:02Speaker 2: early days of my walk with the Lord. Amen. Verse two,
- 11:11Speaker 2: Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute. Now
- 11:20Speaker 2: this was not a polite disagreement. When it says no small,
- 11:25Speaker 2: that means this thing was huge.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It was big.
- 11:30Speaker 2: The Gospel was at stake with this false teaching being
- 11:35Speaker 2: introduced to the church. Now, sometimes you must contend for
- 11:43Speaker 2: the truth. It is a fight, a battle of faith,
- 11:49Speaker 2: fight for our hearts and our minds to stay right
- 11:51Speaker 2: with God. Right J three says that we must earnestly
- 11:56Speaker 2: contend for the faith. Now when you can tend, that
- 12:01Speaker 2: means you get into the boxing ring. Right they call
- 12:05Speaker 2: them contenders. That's a good picture. We gotta get in
- 12:09Speaker 2: the ring. We gotta do some uppercuts and some jabs,
- 12:13Speaker 2: you know what I mean. We gotta do some knockout
- 12:15Speaker 2: punches for the faith. Heymen, viz are at steak here.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Now let's go through six in eleven, verse six and eleven.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Now Peter stands up right. We believe that through the
- 12:35Speaker 2: grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we shall be
- 12:41Speaker 2: saved in the same manner as they right now. Then
- 12:49Speaker 2: you slow down here for a second and let me
- 12:51Speaker 2: go ahead get to my computer. Lunts. Looked up these
- 13:02Speaker 2: verses because I think it's going to be important for
- 13:06Speaker 2: where we're going with this. Amen and amen. See in
- 13:20Speaker 2: verse six it says, now the apostles and elders came
- 13:23Speaker 2: together to consider this matter, And when there had been
- 13:27Speaker 2: much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them, men
- 13:31Speaker 2: and brethren, you know that a good while ago God
- 13:35Speaker 2: chose among us that by my mouth the gentiles should
- 13:40Speaker 2: hear the word of a gospel and believe. So, God,
- 13:44Speaker 2: who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the
- 13:48Speaker 2: Holy Spirit, just as He did us to us, and
- 13:54Speaker 2: made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts
- 13:58Speaker 2: by faith. Now, therefore, why do we test God by
- 14:03Speaker 2: putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples, which
- 14:07Speaker 2: neither our fathers nor we were able to bear. But
- 14:14Speaker 2: we believe that, through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
- 14:19Speaker 2: we should be saved in the same manner as they. Amen. Hallelujah.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna give a praise right there. I love it,
- 14:40Speaker 2: I love it, I love it as I said this
- 14:45Speaker 2: as a testimony in my own life. Amen. And I'm
- 14:51Speaker 2: gonna get to it here in a second. Now, Peter's argument,
- 14:56Speaker 2: God gave the Gentiles the Holy Spirit. That's an ax
- 15:01Speaker 2: tend with Cornelius. Right. If God filled them without circumcision,
- 15:07Speaker 2: who are we to add requirements to their lives? The
- 15:14Speaker 2: Holy Spirit was the evidence of acceptance, not our word ritual.
- 15:21Speaker 2: It was not that the ritual, not that our word
- 15:24Speaker 2: keeping of the law. But God made no distinction. Legalism
- 15:32Speaker 2: always tries to rebuild walls Jesus tored down. Now, Peter
- 15:40Speaker 2: says the law was a yoke, which equals a burden. Right, Remember,
- 15:48Speaker 2: Jesus says that my yoke is easy and my burden
- 15:51Speaker 2: is light. Hallelujah. The Greek word for yoke is zoyag
- 15:58Speaker 2: yo z hy gs if that's how you pronounce it,
- 16:05Speaker 2: and it means a heavy binding frame, a heavy binding frame.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Why put a weight on people? Jesus died to free Galatians.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Chapter five, Verse one says, stand fast in the liberty. See,
- 16:30Speaker 2: we have to contend. We have to stand fast. There's
- 16:32Speaker 2: a lot of things that we have to do when
- 16:36Speaker 2: it comes to legalism entering into the church. It's a
- 16:42Speaker 2: religious spirit. The Bible says, don't play with this thing.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Get in the ring and start boxing right now. Verse
- 16:55Speaker 2: thirteen through twenty one. Right here is where you see James,
- 17:06Speaker 2: the apostle, the brother of Jesus Christ, where he is
- 17:10Speaker 2: going to speak. Amen, let me get this up real
- 17:23Speaker 2: quick now. And after they have become silent, James answered saying,
- 17:31Speaker 2: men and brethren, listen to me. Simon has declared how
- 17:37Speaker 2: God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out
- 17:42Speaker 2: of them a people for his name. And with this
- 17:47Speaker 2: the word of the prophets agreed, just as it is written,
- 17:53Speaker 2: after this, I will return and will rebuild the Tabernacle
- 17:57Speaker 2: of David, which has fallen and down. I will rebuild
- 18:02Speaker 2: the ruins, and I will set it up so that
- 18:06Speaker 2: the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all
- 18:10Speaker 2: the gentiles who are called by my name, says the
- 18:14Speaker 2: Lord who does all things, who does all these things
- 18:21Speaker 2: known to God from eternity are all his works. Therefore,
- 18:27Speaker 2: I judge that we should not trouble those from among
- 18:31Speaker 2: the gentiles who are turning to God, but that we
- 18:35Speaker 2: write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols,
- 18:40Speaker 2: from sexual morality, from these things, from things strangled, and
- 18:46Speaker 2: from blood. For Moses had throughout many generations those who
- 18:57Speaker 2: preach him in the city, in every city. Excuse me
- 19:00Speaker 2: for stumbling, being read in the synagogue every Sabbath. Amen.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So all right, let's break this down real quick. I
- 19:12Speaker 2: just wanted to read that through. Now he quotes Amos.
- 19:16Speaker 2: The key point is God always intended to include the gentiles.
- 19:22Speaker 2: That's good news for us. Blove. I don't know if
- 19:25Speaker 2: you realize it or not, but if you're not Jewish,
- 19:29Speaker 2: you're a gentile. That's me, and that's possibly you. Amen.
- 19:36Speaker 2: We were included in salvation and the plan of salvation,
- 19:42Speaker 2: and it was not planing b It was always plan.
- 19:45Speaker 2: A grace was always the plan, and that's good news.
- 19:58Speaker 2: James doesn't say that gentiles must keep the law. He
- 20:04Speaker 2: gives practical instructions to avoid offending Jewish believers. That's why
- 20:12Speaker 2: he says abstained from idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled,
- 20:19Speaker 2: and from blood. Right, these are fellowship issues, not salvation requirements.
- 20:27Speaker 2: There is a big difference. Sometimes we divide over fellowship
- 20:36Speaker 2: issues and not salvation issues. Hey, man, have discussions all
- 20:44Speaker 2: the time with my brother's own after these podcasts, and
- 20:48Speaker 2: we come up to certain topics where we say, well,
- 20:51Speaker 2: you know what, that's not a salvation issue. You know,
- 20:53Speaker 2: people can believe what they want. There's no reason to
- 20:57Speaker 2: argue or be dogmatic or eight over it. A man
- 21:05Speaker 2: in twenty eight and twenty nine. For it seems good
- 21:10Speaker 2: to the Holy Spirit and to us. Right. This is
- 21:18Speaker 2: where here, let me read it right. The whole purpose
- 21:28Speaker 2: is to go verse by verse right, For it seemed good.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Excuse me once again, it seemed good to the Holy
- 21:37Speaker 2: Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater
- 21:40Speaker 2: burden than these necessary things that you have stained from
- 21:45Speaker 2: things offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled,
- 21:51Speaker 2: and from sexual morality. If you keep yourselves from me,
- 21:55Speaker 2: you will do well. Hallelujah. Now that is a short list,
- 22:01Speaker 2: it's not a huge list, right, that we see in
- 22:07Speaker 2: a lot of churches today. Now, notice the order not
- 22:19Speaker 2: it seems good to us, but to the Holy Spirit first.
- 22:25Speaker 2: That's relationship, that is submission, and that is unity. That's
- 22:34Speaker 2: something that we need to do more in ministry. We
- 22:37Speaker 2: need to ask what does the Holy Spirit think or
- 22:42Speaker 2: what does the Holy Spirit say? We need to invite
- 22:46Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit into all aspects of our lives, right
- 22:51Speaker 2: and that will eradicate legalism. Right. We need to invite
- 22:57Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit into our marriages, into our our families,
- 23:00Speaker 2: into our churches right now. Salvation is not law, but
- 23:06Speaker 2: it is grace. It is not ritual. It is Jesus.
- 23:13Speaker 2: It is not our culture. It is Christ. It is
- 23:20Speaker 2: Christ alone. Where we find salvation, where we find a
- 23:25Speaker 2: place where we can serve and learn and get to
- 23:36Speaker 2: know who God is. Amen Ephesians two eight a nine.
- 23:41Speaker 2: For by grace you have been saved through faith. The
- 23:45Speaker 2: Greek word for grace here is c h A r
- 23:54Speaker 2: I S. Career is sirz or Hover. You pronounce it
- 24:00Speaker 2: is unearned favor. You do not earn favor. You just
- 24:05Speaker 2: receive it. Amen. We need to get into a place
- 24:09Speaker 2: where we receive the We just receive God's love. We
- 24:13Speaker 2: receive God's favor everything that God desires to do for us.
- 24:18Speaker 2: We just need to be in a place where we
- 24:20Speaker 2: can receive it. Amen. Now here's how we apply it today.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Some believers still try to add dress codes, food laws,
- 24:36Speaker 2: religious performances, and cultural traditions to our faith. Holiness flows
- 24:45Speaker 2: from the Holy Spirit alone. Let me say that again,
- 24:51Speaker 2: holiness flows only from the Spirit. The law reveals sin,
- 25:02Speaker 2: and that's all the law was really there to do,
- 25:05Speaker 2: was to show us that we are sinners, that we
- 25:08Speaker 2: are guilty, but the grace of God to removese it.
- 25:13Speaker 2: And man, there's the grace of God that removes sin.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Now share testimony, going verse by verse, chapter by chapter.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Through the Word of God saved me from in a cult.
- 25:32Speaker 2: And I call it in a cult. It was a
- 25:35Speaker 2: Christian occult. But they were heavy in legalism, and I
- 25:39Speaker 2: was miserable in that ministry. I belove it. I was
- 25:46Speaker 2: under a ministry. They would teach a thing, they will
- 25:49Speaker 2: call it the shepherding doctrine. And what they would say
- 25:53Speaker 2: is I'm your pastor, so I am your shepherd. So
- 25:57Speaker 2: basically they made themselves the mediator between you and God.
- 26:02Speaker 2: So let's say if you wanted to buy a house
- 26:04Speaker 2: or work a job, change you know, move change careers,
- 26:09Speaker 2: or buy a car or something, you would go to
- 26:11Speaker 2: your pastor and tell them your intention. That they would
- 26:16Speaker 2: go and pray specifically for God's will for that issue,
- 26:21Speaker 2: and then come back and tell you what God said.
- 26:25Speaker 2: That is dangerous. That is dangerous, beloved, to put yourself
- 26:30Speaker 2: in that position, And that is what I was under.
- 26:34Speaker 2: And so, needless to say, I had a horrible experience
- 26:42Speaker 2: because my first marriage was based and founded on that
- 26:48Speaker 2: where I didn't even go and ask my pastor about
- 26:52Speaker 2: the young lady. My pastor came and presented a young
- 26:56Speaker 2: lady to me, and a lady that I had no
- 26:59Speaker 2: clue was on this planet. I didn't know who this
- 27:03Speaker 2: woman was, nothing to say about her, bad about her, anything,
- 27:08Speaker 2: but he kind of introduced her. Then other families in
- 27:12Speaker 2: our church would tell me to get her number, and
- 27:16Speaker 2: she was actually in a different church across town, and
- 27:23Speaker 2: members from her church started hitting me up saying, hey,
- 27:25Speaker 2: come get this girl's number, da da da. I guess
- 27:27Speaker 2: she kind of stated that she was interested or attracted
- 27:33Speaker 2: or whatever. And so that's how I was introduced to
- 27:38Speaker 2: my first wife was through other people, and it was
- 27:42Speaker 2: basically through this law. And so keep in mind, they're
- 27:47Speaker 2: supposed to be the mediator, right, so I'm thinking everything
- 27:52Speaker 2: they say comes straight from the throne of God. Like
- 27:55Speaker 2: that's the type of influence they had on their people
- 27:59Speaker 2: over me. At least, I was only like six months saved,
- 28:02Speaker 2: you know what I mean, and to this church, and
- 28:06Speaker 2: you know, they kind of threw this on me. And
- 28:07Speaker 2: so when I finally meet the girl, wasn't really interested.
- 28:13Speaker 2: But within three months, two or three months, we were married.
- 28:19Speaker 2: And you could just imagine how I struggled in that marriage,
- 28:22Speaker 2: you know, for years. And uh so, finally fast forward
- 28:27Speaker 2: it when I finally started years later, I connected with
- 28:32Speaker 2: my brother Mike Bumgart, and he introduced me to Carrie
- 28:39Speaker 2: Chapel and Pastor Chuck s meant their teaching and this,
- 28:43Speaker 2: if you notice, this is the style that I used,
- 28:47Speaker 2: first by verse, chapter by chapter expository type of teaching.
- 28:53Speaker 2: And going through this, I went through the book of
- 28:56Speaker 2: Revelation is what opened my eyes. Then I went to
- 29:00Speaker 2: this very verse right here, this very situation. I brought
- 29:05Speaker 2: this scripture to my pastor at the time. My eyes
- 29:09Speaker 2: were open because they had a lot of rules on us.
- 29:15Speaker 2: They did not want us to We couldnot own a
- 29:17Speaker 2: TV in our homes. We could not go to the movies,
- 29:24Speaker 2: we could not have a beard, you know, we could
- 29:27Speaker 2: only wear certain clothes. I mean, that's the type of
- 29:31Speaker 2: control that this church has, and I believe I don't
- 29:35Speaker 2: know if it's the same as strict, but these churches
- 29:40Speaker 2: are still around, and so hopefully we can bless somebody.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Hopefully my testimony will reach somebody. And so I looked
- 29:51Speaker 2: at the scripture this council here in Jerusalem, and I'm like, Okay,
- 29:57Speaker 2: they're trying to put the Law of Moses the trust me.
- 30:00Speaker 2: The Law Moses had way more rules than a lot
- 30:03Speaker 2: of these churches. They had over six hundred rules in
- 30:06Speaker 2: the Law of Moses that they were supposed to observe.
- 30:11Speaker 2: And so it was a debate remembr they were contending
- 30:15Speaker 2: over this. They got into the boxing ring. This caused
- 30:17Speaker 2: a huge fight in the early Church, and Peter shared
- 30:22Speaker 2: his testimony then the apostle James, the brother of Jesus,
- 30:28Speaker 2: if anybody else has any clout in a church, it
- 30:32Speaker 2: should be him. Right, the very brother of Jesus said,
- 30:35Speaker 2: don't even bother putting the law on these people. So
- 30:41Speaker 2: if they didn't put the law on people in the
- 30:45Speaker 2: Mother Church in Jerusalem, why are all these churches putting
- 30:50Speaker 2: these laws and rules on the people today? And how
- 30:54Speaker 2: come nobody is contending against it? Right? So I came
- 31:02Speaker 2: and I wanted to break it down and show this
- 31:05Speaker 2: to my pastor. This is this is the scripture that
- 31:08Speaker 2: caused me to leave the church. And I remember I
- 31:12Speaker 2: had left the church. But I'm like, you know what,
- 31:15Speaker 2: because at that time I had witness to some people
- 31:20Speaker 2: and I brought some families into church. You know, I'm
- 31:24Speaker 2: an evangelist, right, I evangelize. I have a heart to
- 31:28Speaker 2: win the loss. And so there were families in people
- 31:32Speaker 2: that the Lord has allowed me to bring to the church.
- 31:36Speaker 2: And I felt bad, like why, like what did I do?
- 31:39Speaker 2: You know, I didn't realize it at the time. Now
- 31:44Speaker 2: I will say this, I know that God led me
- 31:49Speaker 2: to that church and with what I was dealing with,
- 31:55Speaker 2: I was dealing with gross sexual immorality. I was a foreigner,
- 31:59Speaker 2: cater was, you know, I was. I needed a pastor
- 32:08Speaker 2: that would stay on my head to get me, you know,
- 32:12Speaker 2: to kind of get me out of that lifestyle. So
- 32:15Speaker 2: maybe in my situation, I needed a strict church like that.
- 32:22Speaker 2: But I consider that like the kindergarten, like you need
- 32:28Speaker 2: to graduate out of that quick if you know, you
- 32:32Speaker 2: need a service like that, if you need people calling
- 32:35Speaker 2: you every day and tell you to go to church
- 32:37Speaker 2: and to live for God and read your Bible. Okay,
- 32:42Speaker 2: but that should just be for babes. You will never mature.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Excuse me, we will never get into a place of
- 32:50Speaker 2: maturity if we're allowing someone else to live our Christian
- 32:59Speaker 2: life through us, right, it'll never become a conviction, your
- 33:03Speaker 2: own conviction. You believe living off of other people's convictions,
- 33:08Speaker 2: and so I believe that stunned my growth underneath that,
- 33:13Speaker 2: you know, broke in. I have a passion for the word,
- 33:16Speaker 2: as you can tell, because I know it'll keep a
- 33:18Speaker 2: lot of people out of trouble. If you just know
- 33:21Speaker 2: the word, know what it says, you could avoid a
- 33:25Speaker 2: lot of these mistakes. A man, and I'm passionate about
- 33:29Speaker 2: freedom and liberty. You're not messed with the freedom and
- 33:34Speaker 2: the liberty of God's people. God paid the price for that. Amen.
- 33:42Speaker 2: All right, let's take a quick break, y'all.
- 33:45Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 33:49Speaker 3: is the Hiss Hop Radio Show.

- 34:29Speaker 4: fly together. Hey, We're gonna ride forever like it's heavy metal.
- 34:33Speaker 4: I ain't Christmas for Columbus. I will never settle. I
- 34:36Speaker 4: ain't lost, I ain't Clark. I will never settle.
- 34:40Speaker 1: God tell me I'm Olympic for real.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Hey see the kingan while you're sipping for real, while

- 34:52Speaker 4: Hey jaywalking, Hey Jesus walking, Hey Jesus talking, Yo, being faith,
- 34:58Speaker 4: y'all need a whole lot of on that way where
- 35:01Speaker 4: I'm about to go like a migo. Can't see the
- 35:04Speaker 4: vision that you can't beat me on, migos, I call
- 35:06Speaker 4: up my girl in there with fuller to the rego.
- 35:09Speaker 1: It's the only time.
- 35:10Speaker 4: We pay to see you acting way different, way different,
- 35:13Speaker 4: same book, but the page different, the page differen ex
- 35:16Speaker 4: a cliche.
- 35:16Speaker 1: The same.
- 35:17Speaker 4: I'm lane switching, Well, I'm laying switching. Hold on, let
- 35:19Speaker 4: me pull my turn and say no so they see
- 35:22Speaker 4: me coming. They still can't see me coming. Only two
- 35:25Speaker 4: things that I need is he's I need love. I
- 35:28Speaker 4: need everything that's coming from a ball.
- 35:31Speaker 1: I need peace. I need love, I need everything it's
- 35:35Speaker 1: coming from up there, like he who he? What is
- 35:37Speaker 1: this in my studio? Is wherever I see? Hey, I
- 35:41Speaker 1: plug in the microphone in there. You hear that clique?
- 35:49Speaker 4: It's a heat hey wave hit him like whoa man?
- 35:53Speaker 1: Hey? Make him do the oh man? Hey, how you
- 35:57Speaker 1: just came up with whoa man? Floor?
- 35:59Speaker 4: And let your This is not a slow dance, not
- 36:03Speaker 4: a slow man.
- 36:04Speaker 1: We come together and were praying whole hand.
- 36:08Speaker 4: She give grace, soever of grace lay he paid the price, had.
- 36:12Speaker 1: No escape, playing and no plan and no play. Actually
- 36:20Speaker 1: his plan was to play. So he playing. They set
- 36:22Speaker 1: the bar high. He a cold, so I scanned it.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Hey, we're saving souls on the camping. He but this
- 36:28Speaker 4: ain't no religion. When following your auntie, Hey, thank you, LRD,
- 36:32Speaker 4: I said, like a praying mantis, thanking me, just trying
- 36:35Speaker 4: to see me sing Titanic.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Never out, but.
- 36:38Speaker 4: I'm out laying dad, even when I'm out, as soon
- 36:41Speaker 4: as I land, back to the beach, back to the sin,
- 36:45Speaker 4: back to the only two things that I needed. He's
- 36:49Speaker 4: I need love. I need everything that's coming from a ball.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I need peace.
- 36:54Speaker 4: I need love, I need everything it's coming from a bull.
- 37:10Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 37:14Speaker 3: is the hiss Hop radio show.
- 37:34Speaker 2: All right, all right, we are back. We are back.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Man.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I had to go give me a sip of water.
- 37:39Speaker 2: You know, my throat was just kind of itchy today.
- 37:43Speaker 2: But that was Caleb Jordan with peace and love and
- 37:47Speaker 2: everything from above. Amen. That's all he need. We don't
- 37:51Speaker 2: need no legalism, Amen. Now I do want to mention
- 37:56Speaker 2: it on the other end of it. We don't need
- 37:59Speaker 2: no greasy grace either. And we don't need grace that
- 38:02Speaker 2: tells us it's okay to live a life of sin.
- 38:05Speaker 2: It is not okay. The grace of God teaches us
- 38:08Speaker 2: to deny ungodly miss and really lust. The grace of
- 38:11Speaker 2: God empowers us to live a life of obedience ay man.
- 38:18Speaker 2: So that's what legalism tries to fight against, you know,
- 38:20Speaker 2: they fight against you know, the greasy grace doctrine out there.
- 38:26Speaker 2: But we got to find the balance, right and we
- 38:28Speaker 2: find it in the Word. Now it's time for the
- 38:34Speaker 2: accountability partner segments. And you know this actually kind of
- 38:42Speaker 2: goes with the accountability Like I said before. You know,
- 38:46Speaker 2: there's a lot of people they think they're right with God,
- 38:48Speaker 2: whether or not. There's a lot of people who are
- 38:51Speaker 2: legalistic and don't really have a relationship with God. Now
- 38:55Speaker 2: I'm not saying that it's impossible. There's probably a lot
- 38:58Speaker 2: of people in legalistic churches that do have a relationship
- 39:03Speaker 2: with God. MEI, I don't know, and we're not here
- 39:05Speaker 2: to judge. But if you think you can earn your
- 39:14Speaker 2: way into salvation, and that's the issue, you just have
- 39:18Speaker 2: to receive the gift. And there's people in church that
- 39:22Speaker 2: they think they can smoke, drink fornicuke, they can do whatever,
- 39:28Speaker 2: have unforgiveness in their hearts. The Bible says that if
- 39:30Speaker 2: you don't forgive the Father will not forgive you right.
- 39:34Speaker 2: There's a lot of things, you know, being lazy and
- 39:37Speaker 2: just not reading your Bible. There's a lot that we
- 39:40Speaker 2: have to deal with. We have to bring our flesh
- 39:43Speaker 2: to the cross right and get victory in the spirit.
- 39:48Speaker 2: And so that's the other end of it. So we're
- 39:52Speaker 2: meant to do this as a community, as brothers and sisters,
- 39:56Speaker 2: and so one of the best and safest ways that
- 40:01Speaker 2: we can stay on that narrow road is to have
- 40:04Speaker 2: an accountability partner as someone who can speak into our lives.
- 40:09Speaker 2: They can correct us with the word right, not their
- 40:12Speaker 2: own personal preference or you know, not to put some
- 40:15Speaker 2: crazy trip on you. But they got to be able
- 40:18Speaker 2: to say chapter and verse and not twisted. And so
- 40:23Speaker 2: if you want to go further in this, if you
- 40:25Speaker 2: don't really have anyone in your life, you know, you
- 40:28Speaker 2: can join us here on the accountability of partner segment.
- 40:31Speaker 2: You know, the truth behind this segment is we want
- 40:34Speaker 2: to get people on the phone. We want to talk
- 40:38Speaker 2: to people and talk through their issues or whatever they're
- 40:41Speaker 2: struggling with and pray with them and connect with them
- 40:44Speaker 2: and have them give us updates and stuff like that
- 40:48Speaker 2: on the app on the website. You know there's a
- 40:51Speaker 2: space where we can comment like this is serious. You know,
- 40:55Speaker 2: this is a really a serious thing that we really
- 40:58Speaker 2: need to dive into. We can go further on the app.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Go to the top left menu, click that drop down,
- 41:06Speaker 2: click podcast and click to his Hot Radio podcast. They
- 41:10Speaker 2: click the link Accountability Partner, You will see what I mean.
- 41:14Speaker 2: You go over to questions and you gotta be honest
- 41:16Speaker 2: with yourself or else it won't work. Just go through
- 41:20Speaker 2: the questions and fill them out and then request a
- 41:22Speaker 2: follow up and that can be a way to help
- 41:28Speaker 2: us to get over these besetting sins. Amen. We have
- 41:31Speaker 2: to have agreement in prayer and a lot of this
- 41:35Speaker 2: stuff and also today's challenge we also posted in a
- 41:39Speaker 2: life chat. Talk to your accountability partner today and ask
- 41:43Speaker 2: are you trying to earn what Jesus already paid for? Right? Right?
- 41:50Speaker 2: Am I living in grace or striving in performance? You know,
- 41:58Speaker 2: ask these questions, talk about it. Where do you see
- 42:03Speaker 2: me trying to earn God's love? Call your partner and
- 42:07Speaker 2: ask them that transparency brings freedom. Hallelujah. Also, were gonna

- 43:09Speaker 2: the bragging rights. So the question is who presided over
- 43:18Speaker 2: the Jerusalem Council and gave the final judgment? Who is
- 43:24Speaker 2: the apostle who presided over the Jerusalem Council and gave

- 44:24Speaker 2: so we are in the top ten. Glory to God.
- 44:29Speaker 2: That gives us more exposure, that gives us a bigger reach,
- 44:37Speaker 2: and that is an open door. So please please keep
- 44:41Speaker 2: us in prayer so that we know how to navigate
- 44:45Speaker 2: and go through this. But hey, it's a time of
- 44:48Speaker 2: rejoicing and celebration. Amen. I also want to let you
- 44:56Speaker 2: know that His Hop Nation is a nonprofit organization. We

- 46:10Speaker 2: close out with an altered call and with prayer. So
- 46:20Speaker 2: here's the question. Are you trying to earn what Jesus
- 46:24Speaker 2: already paid for? Well? Today you can rest repeat after me,
- 46:31Speaker 2: say Lord, I receive your grace. I stop striving. I
- 46:42Speaker 2: trust in Christ and I trust in Him alone. When
- 46:48Speaker 2: you ask the Holy Spirit to empower you not to
- 46:53Speaker 2: live lawless, but to live a life that is spirit led. Amen,
- 47:02Speaker 2: that's the difference. Grace is not weakness. Grace is power,
- 47:11Speaker 2: Andy Man. Now I'm gonna close out with some closing comments.
- 47:18Speaker 2: So if you're praying, you don't have to repeat what
- 47:20Speaker 2: I'm saying right now, Amen, unless you want to. But
- 47:25Speaker 2: un that you want to keep praying saying the attitude
- 47:27Speaker 2: of prayer and worship hallelujah. But grace is that weakness.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Grace is power. The Jerusalem Council settled it once and
- 47:39Speaker 2: for all. You are saved by grace through faith. Period.
