- 0:00Speaker 1: Drop Big ninety eight.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude on
- 0:08Speaker 2: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:10Speaker 3: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 0:12Speaker 3: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 0:18Speaker 2: two eight oho one ninety eight.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Seven kids, I also needed to win that day.
- 0:24Speaker 5: And Angie, do you have a little victory for us
- 0:26Speaker 5: here today?
- 0:26Speaker 6: I do?
- 0:27Speaker 7: And I feel like this is a little victory that
- 0:29Speaker 7: when you were a little kid was super exciting, and
- 0:32Speaker 7: I think it's still exciting as an adult. We are
- 0:35Speaker 7: rearranging the furniture in our bedroom. Oh cool, And I
- 0:40Speaker 7: think that's so fun because yes, and so for a
- 0:45Speaker 7: long time, the bed was facing in a way that
- 0:47Speaker 7: I thought, for like two weeks was how I wanted it,
- 0:50Speaker 7: and then I decided I hate this, and then never
- 0:53Speaker 7: did anything about it because I didn't want to have.
- 0:55Speaker 6: To move the bed. It felt difficult.
- 0:57Speaker 7: But thankfully I've got Mikey who will do all of
- 1:01Speaker 7: the strong things for me. So he rearranged where the
- 1:06Speaker 7: bed is, and he's making space for our new dresser
- 1:09Speaker 7: that's coming in, and so already I feel like, what
- 1:13Speaker 7: do they call it? The feng shui of the room
- 1:15Speaker 7: is making me happier. So that's my little victory.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I love that for you as well.
- 1:20Speaker 5: We do have to give a big shout out to Maya,
- 1:21Speaker 5: who texted in a little victory. She says she got
- 1:24Speaker 5: a new puppy and they've already started their basic training
- 1:28Speaker 5: and basic commands and she's having a lot of fun
- 1:30Speaker 5: with that.
- 1:31Speaker 4: So a big shout out to her.
- 1:32Speaker 6: Maya also send a picture of the new puppy.
- 1:36Speaker 5: Yeah, we gotta see it. We want to see it here.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 1:41Speaker 5: My little victory. You know, my whole weekend was just
- 1:44Speaker 5: a slew of massive victories, all right. I did find
- 1:48Speaker 5: out what baby G is, and we're going to share
- 1:51Speaker 5: that with you at seven eleven here or about then
- 1:54Speaker 5: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 1:55Speaker 7: I wanted that to be my little victory that you
- 1:58Speaker 7: told me if Baby G was gonna be a boy
- 2:01Speaker 7: or girl, except for you haven't.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Told me now, I haven't said anything. I'm pretty good.
- 2:05Speaker 6: I'm so mad because I wanted to have.
- 2:08Speaker 7: Special privileges and no, but that's fine, that's okay. I
- 2:12Speaker 7: can wait seven eleven. We will make the announcement. You
- 2:15Speaker 7: will make the announcement, and I will be glad to
- 2:17Speaker 7: hear it.
- 2:18Speaker 4: That's right.
- 2:19Speaker 5: We got a crib this weekend. I got to see
- 2:23Speaker 5: a ton of my friends and family in the Minneapolis
- 2:26Speaker 5: area and share the exciting news with them. So it's
- 2:29Speaker 5: just a really fun, you know, kind of sprint home
- 2:31Speaker 5: weekend after those kind of slow down in the near future. Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 5: we had a good time with that and we're looking
- 2:37Speaker 5: forward to sharing that with you. The news coming up
- 2:40Speaker 5: at about seventy eleven here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:49Speaker 5: And we also do have a very special guest in
- 2:52Speaker 5: the studio here today. It is my wife, Corey. Corey,
- 2:56Speaker 5: how are you doing this morning?
- 2:58Speaker 3: I am doing great.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Yeah, it's good to hear. I'm glad you were able
- 3:01Speaker 5: to make it in. We seldom hear Corey here on
- 3:04Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven, but for an occasion like this,
- 3:07Speaker 5: I think she was willing to make the exception.
- 3:09Speaker 6: I mean, I'm excited that you're becoming a dad.
- 3:11Speaker 7: But this glorious woman over here is the one who's
- 3:14Speaker 7: carrying the child.
- 3:16Speaker 6: She's doing the most.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Yeah, she's doing the heavy lifting. Yes, you know, my
- 3:20Speaker 5: shoulder really hurt the other day.
- 3:21Speaker 6: No, I'm you're such a boy hand.
- 3:26Speaker 4: All right.
- 3:27Speaker 5: So what we have in the studio right now now,
- 3:30Speaker 5: Corey and I bought this Okay, we weren't giving it,
- 3:33Speaker 5: but we bought this balloon that Angie is going to
- 3:37Speaker 5: pop and it will reveal the gender of baby g
- 3:41Speaker 5: And where do we got the balloon? From? Seven oh
- 3:44Speaker 5: one balloon Deckhorse So if you ever want to do
- 3:45Speaker 5: a gender reveal or anything like that, okay, that's where
- 3:48Speaker 5: we got it.
- 3:49Speaker 4: And I guess we're.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Gonna find out in a handful of seconds here if
- 3:52Speaker 5: it is any good. So, Angie, I think Corey are
- 3:55Speaker 5: you ready? Do you want to ask Corey anything? Is
- 3:57Speaker 5: there anything you want to hear from her? Here on
- 3:59Speaker 5: Big ninety eight points them before we pop the balloon.
- 4:01Speaker 5: I do want to say that I almost caught you, guys.
- 4:04Speaker 7: I almost made you slip up because I know you've
- 4:07Speaker 7: already chosen a name for the baby, and so I
- 4:10Speaker 7: very casually was like, oh.
- 4:12Speaker 6: What are you gonna name the baby?
- 4:14Speaker 7: And for a split second y'all were gonna tell me
- 4:17Speaker 7: and that was gonna reveal the gender.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Of the baby. But you caught yourselves. Whatever. Yeah, I'm
- 4:24Speaker 6: really excited. How are you feeling is it?
- 4:26Speaker 7: Obviously you don't have to tell me what the baby
- 4:29Speaker 7: is because we'll find out in a second.
- 4:30Speaker 6: But Corey, did you feel like you knew?
- 4:34Speaker 3: I like our family kind of put it in our head,
- 4:38Speaker 3: but I didn't.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I didn't know.
- 4:39Speaker 6: I was shocked. Oh interesting, Wow.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Okay, Well if you are ready, Angie, Okay, I'm ready,
- 4:46Speaker 5: so are.
- 4:46Speaker 4: We once again?
- 4:48Speaker 5: If you are listening, you might hear just a pop
- 4:50Speaker 5: in the background. We want to let you know that
- 4:51Speaker 5: this is a balloon and it will reveal what baby
- 4:56Speaker 5: G is. So Angie, I think whenever you are ready, Okay,
- 5:00Speaker 5: you go right ahead. And okay, okay, go ahead in
- 5:05Speaker 5: two two three.
- 5:08Speaker 4: And O she lotma baby Ge on the way is
- 5:17Speaker 4: a little girl.
- 5:19Speaker 6: It's so excited for you guys.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yes, we found out on Friday. And I know Corey, your.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Family had talked a lot about oh, it's gonna be
- 5:28Speaker 5: a girl, it's gonna be a girl, and you were
- 5:30Speaker 5: kind of in denial because you have so many just
- 5:33Speaker 5: boy nephews.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I did not think that it was gonna be
- 5:37Speaker 3: a girl at all, even though I would call it
- 5:40Speaker 3: a girl. Sometimes because my family would. But when we
- 5:43Speaker 3: actually were at the altarsound, I was like, it's gonna
- 5:46Speaker 3: be a boy. There's no way, it's a girl.
- 5:48Speaker 7: So this is gonna break a long line of just
- 5:53Speaker 7: boy grand babies and nephews.
- 5:55Speaker 6: And yes, this is very exciting.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Clothes just got real expensive handy downs don't really exist,
- 6:01Speaker 5: but we do.
- 6:02Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, that's funny.
- 6:03Speaker 5: We do have some grandma's I think, who are ready
- 6:05Speaker 5: for us my boy?
- 6:07Speaker 6: Oh gosh.
- 6:07Speaker 7: Okay, So popping the balloon that obviously was a fright
- 6:10Speaker 7: because balloons I think are scary, but the pink confetti, Yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 7: it's gonna be a girl, Dad, girl, dad, that is right.
- 6:18Speaker 5: And I do have our Facebook page up all right.
- 6:20Speaker 5: If you are starting to guess, like girl, I know
- 6:23Speaker 5: who you are, okay, So it will only be the
- 6:25Speaker 5: people who have already commented for their chance to win
- 6:28Speaker 5: five dollars of my money. I will ranch out to
- 6:31Speaker 5: you and we will get that all set up. So Angie,
- 6:35Speaker 5: I have been saying this entire time, I'm pretty sure
- 6:37Speaker 5: it's a girl.
- 6:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 5: We have been talking a lot, Like off the air,
- 6:41Speaker 5: I was like, I don't know why I just got this.
- 6:43Speaker 5: I just got this gut feeling and then I had
- 6:45Speaker 5: this dream that it was a girl, and I was like, oh, well,
- 6:47Speaker 5: I'm wrong all the time, so it's definitely a boy.
- 6:50Speaker 7: Oh okay, so you really up until you found out,
- 6:54Speaker 7: you were like, I don't know, I don't know.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Yeah, for a long time, I was pretty confident there
- 6:58Speaker 5: would be some pink confetti in there.
- 6:59Speaker 7: We take a poll in the office that ended up
- 7:02Speaker 7: being seven guesses for a boy and four guesses for
- 7:06Speaker 7: a girl, and you guys were wrong boy guessers.
- 7:10Speaker 4: That's right.
- 7:11Speaker 5: Well, thank you so much for everyone who participated and
- 7:14Speaker 5: played along, and guess a big thank you to Angie.
- 7:17Speaker 5: I think it's kind of funny that Corey and I
- 7:19Speaker 5: bought a gender revealed balloon with a seven to oh
- 7:22Speaker 5: one balloon deckord just for you.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel three specials.
- 7:25Speaker 4: We bought it for you to have.
- 7:27Speaker 7: I promise I will be the best auntie if you
- 7:30Speaker 7: let me. I'm happy to babysit whenever. I'm never gonna
- 7:33Speaker 7: have another baby, like the sect to me going strong
- 7:36Speaker 7: on Mikey, I'm never having another one, so I have
- 7:39Speaker 7: to live vicariously through you.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Yeah, that'll probably be a question for Mom over there. Mom,
- 7:44Speaker 5: is Angie gonna get to babysit?
- 7:46Speaker 6: M Yeah, your tea is next.
- 7:51Speaker 4: To here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Baby g a little girl on the way now. March
- 8:01Speaker 5: is an exciting time of the year. It's always an
- 8:04Speaker 5: exciting time of the year for many, many reasons. For example,
- 8:08Speaker 5: we have some very exciting things coming up here with
- 8:11Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven and just things going on
- 8:13Speaker 5: in the FM area here.
- 8:15Speaker 7: Yes, first of all, because I know this is your
- 8:16Speaker 7: favorite holiday in all the land, Saint Patrick's for sure. Okay,
- 8:22Speaker 7: so you even get to celebrate early because that's normally
- 8:25Speaker 7: I mean it is on the seventeenth. Yeah, well, guess
- 8:27Speaker 7: what the Saint Patrick's Day pub crawl in downtown Fargo
- 8:31Speaker 7: is March fourteenth. That's a Saturday, So give yourself the
- 8:35Speaker 7: weekend to properly indulge.
- 8:37Speaker 6: That's right, and you can head to Big nine eighty seven.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Dot com for all the details on that.
- 8:42Speaker 4: That's right.
- 8:43Speaker 5: And it's a girl thing is also coming up this month.
- 8:46Speaker 5: We're gonna have more on that in just a hot
- 8:47Speaker 5: second here. But I know you're looking forward to that.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Ah, super looking forward to that.
- 8:51Speaker 7: A I want your wife Corey to come with me sure,
- 8:55Speaker 7: and B for all the drink samples she can't have
- 8:58Speaker 7: because she's pregnant.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Will have them for Yeah, I'll fill in all right.
- 9:02Speaker 5: Well, also some other things to look forward to, or
- 9:06Speaker 5: I guess deal with this March daylight saving time is
- 9:10Speaker 5: this Sunday? If we are going to lose an hour
- 9:13Speaker 5: of sleep? Now if you have obviously you use your
- 9:16Speaker 5: phone as like a watch like a lot of people. Yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 5: that will change automatically. But you got to change the
- 9:22Speaker 5: car clock. You gotta change the microwave, the shove.
- 9:25Speaker 6: For some of you, that car clock will finally be correct.
- 9:28Speaker 5: Yeah, that's true. You never changed it y where I'm at,
- 9:31Speaker 5: That's right. Also an exciting time, we've talked a lot
- 9:34Speaker 5: about the men's and women's basketball teams with the NDSU
- 9:37Speaker 5: buys in well, March Madness with selection Sunday is coming
- 9:42Speaker 5: up in the middle of the month, and then that
- 9:44Speaker 5: men's tournament is the seventeenth, and the women get started
- 9:47Speaker 5: a day later on the eighteenth, So a great time
- 9:50Speaker 5: for basketball. The oscars are this month. We've also got
- 9:55Speaker 5: some movies coming out with Pixar Who Never miss No
- 10:00Speaker 5: Pixar's Only ever put out banger banger, banger, banger, pretty
- 10:04Speaker 5: dang good banger banger bang.
- 10:06Speaker 6: You know what, even the bad ones are like, well,
- 10:08Speaker 6: but it's still so good.
- 10:09Speaker 4: Yeah, they're still fun.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Pixar has a movie coming out on Friday called Hoppers.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for this movie. Me
- 10:17Speaker 7: and my kids are super looking forward to this.
- 10:20Speaker 5: Yeah, so there are tons of things to be excited about.
- 10:23Speaker 5: The weather's obviously warming up forty today, forty tomorrow, fifty
- 10:27Speaker 5: four on Wednesdays.
- 10:29Speaker 7: They have one more time, say Wednesday's weather one more
- 10:31Speaker 7: time and say it really.
- 10:32Speaker 5: Slow fifty four on Wednesday. Yes, So March is gonna
- 10:37Speaker 5: be an exciting time here with Big ninety eight point seven,
- 10:41Speaker 5: just all the things going on in general, and then
- 10:43Speaker 5: a lot of those fun things coming up this month,
- 10:46Speaker 5: kind of like it's a girl thing.
- 10:50Speaker 4: This is am I the problem.
- 10:53Speaker 6: It's me, Hi, the problem is me.
- 10:57Speaker 2: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your
- 11:00Speaker 2: we decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 11:05Speaker 2: That's right, I am the problem on Big ninety eight
- 11:09Speaker 2: point seven.
- 11:11Speaker 7: All right, Emily wrote into us, and I want to
- 11:15Speaker 7: point out that this was said to us last week.
- 11:18Speaker 7: Oh okay, and you'll understand why as soon as I
- 11:21Speaker 7: start reading Hi.
- 11:22Speaker 6: Gave it, Angie. Can't wait for the gender reveal.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Oh ye nice.
- 11:26Speaker 6: By the way, baby G A girl, Baby G A Girl.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 11:30Speaker 7: If you're listening, Emily, now you know I'm emailing you
- 11:33Speaker 7: because my friends are telling me to be cautious with
- 11:35Speaker 7: a guy i'm dating because he doesn't have any close friends.
- 11:39Speaker 7: Apparently his dad was in the military, so he moved
- 11:42Speaker 7: around a lot, and that always made it hard to
- 11:44Speaker 7: make friends, so he hasn't bothered much into adulthood because he's.
- 11:47Speaker 6: Gotten used to having to leave.
- 11:49Speaker 7: I asked him if he had a problem, who would
- 11:52Speaker 7: he call, and he said his dad, not a friend.
- 11:55Speaker 7: He has acquaintances and works friends though, oh I think
- 11:58Speaker 7: she met work friends. We're friends though. I told all
- 12:01Speaker 7: of this to my two roommates and they told me
- 12:04Speaker 7: that's Red Flag City and he probably has something to hide.
- 12:09Speaker 7: I personally didn't think anything about it, but now it's
- 12:12Speaker 7: been bugging me.
- 12:14Speaker 6: I'm assuming, what do you guys think?
- 12:18Speaker 5: I kind of love Red Flag City. That sounds like
- 12:20Speaker 5: something I would say.
- 12:22Speaker 6: Yeah, that sounds like where you live. Don't kidding?
- 12:24Speaker 5: That's right, that's right. I don't know what do you think, Angie?
- 12:28Speaker 5: I am leaning a tiny bit towards maybe it's not
- 12:35Speaker 5: red flag, but maybe it's a shade of violet.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Oh, okay? Seven one two eight on one nine eight seven.
- 12:42Speaker 7: Do you think it is a red flag for guy
- 12:45Speaker 7: to not have any close friends? I think this is
- 12:49Speaker 7: not a red flag. Well, I need to see what
- 12:52Speaker 7: his apartment looks like. No, I don't think that this
- 12:54Speaker 7: is a red flag. I feel like it does make
- 12:56Speaker 7: sense if you're in the military. If like you, we're
- 12:59Speaker 7: a military growing up that does that's a bummer when
- 13:02Speaker 7: you have to leave every time, And so I probably
- 13:05Speaker 7: would have given up on making friends too. Also, I
- 13:08Speaker 7: think making friends as an adult is difficult.
- 13:12Speaker 4: It's impossible.
- 13:13Speaker 6: It's difficult, so hard.
- 13:15Speaker 7: And so if he already had the setback of not
- 13:18Speaker 7: feeling like he wanted to make those attachments because he
- 13:22Speaker 7: had to move anyway, if that's not a skill he's cultivated,
- 13:25Speaker 7: then I mean it just makes sense to me. I
- 13:28Speaker 7: guess then does that turn into a red flag, because
- 13:33Speaker 7: then he might not be able to make a deep
- 13:35Speaker 7: commitment to you.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Sure, maybe, oh, maybe it is a red float. Look
- 13:41Speaker 6: how I.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Angie talker or something yet seven oh one two eight
- 13:46Speaker 5: zero one, nine eight seven. Let us know what you think,
- 13:48Speaker 5: And yeah, that could be a thing. You know, at
- 13:50Speaker 5: some point you're like, well, I just have to move again.
- 13:53Speaker 5: What's the point of really getting a really close friend
- 13:55Speaker 5: that I just have to be sad when I have
- 13:57Speaker 5: to leave?
- 13:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that definitely is a factor for sure.
- 13:59Speaker 7: I guess guess when I when she was saying that
- 14:01Speaker 7: her roommates are like, that's a red flag. He has
- 14:04Speaker 7: something to hide. I don't think that that's what the
- 14:06Speaker 7: red flag would be. I don't think necessarily that he's
- 14:09Speaker 7: hiding something. I think it could could become a red
- 14:12Speaker 7: flag later in terms of like commitment, Yeah, like.
- 14:15Speaker 5: An underdeveloped skill potentially.
- 14:17Speaker 7: Yeah, we did post this on the Big ninety eight
- 14:19Speaker 7: point seven Facebook page, And of course you can always
- 14:22Speaker 7: call us or text us seven oh one two eight
- 14:24Speaker 7: oh one to nine eighty seven with your thoughts.
- 14:26Speaker 6: We want to hear from you.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's a great time to ask too.
- 14:28Speaker 5: You know, maybe you grew up in a family that
- 14:31Speaker 5: moved around all the time, whether you're in the military
- 14:33Speaker 5: or not. Maybe, yeah, just had to move a lot
- 14:35Speaker 5: for work. What was that experience like for you. Let
- 14:37Speaker 5: us know this morning on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 14:44Speaker 5: And we.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Do have ODI on the pra on the problem.
- 14:47Speaker 5: We have Odi on the prow We do have ODI
- 14:50Speaker 5: on the phone here.
- 14:51Speaker 4: What do you think.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I don't think he's the problem. I'm a military brat
- 14:56Speaker 1: and I know exactly how it is to not make
- 15:01Speaker 1: good friends over your lifetime because you're leaving all the time.
- 15:04Speaker 1: And as I come to Spargo thirty years ago, I
- 15:09Speaker 1: find all the cliques that are already made, and it's
- 15:12Speaker 1: okay to make acquaintances with these people that they don't
- 15:14Speaker 1: really want to let you in. So it is what
- 15:17Speaker 1: it is. The guy is just what he says, a
- 15:20Speaker 1: military guy who's moved around a lot.
- 15:22Speaker 5: Yeah, it sounds like he's just under the circumstance of
- 15:25Speaker 5: his environment to growing up. There's not a whole lot
- 15:27Speaker 5: you can do when you're moving all the time, and
- 15:29Speaker 5: you know, developing a really close friendship with someone.
- 15:32Speaker 6: So you think Emily should tell her roommates, Hey, you're wrong.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Back off.
- 15:36Speaker 7: I think she should. Yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Well, thank you so much for jumping on the phone
- 15:40Speaker 5: with us here, and we want to know what you
- 15:42Speaker 5: think this morning at seven oh one two eight zero
- 15:44Speaker 5: one nine eighty seven For today's am I the problem?
- 15:46Speaker 7: Emily is dating a guy who his dad was in
- 15:50Speaker 7: the military, so he moved around a lot, doesn't have
- 15:53Speaker 7: a lot of close or any close friends. And she
- 15:56Speaker 7: had mentioned this to her roommates and they were like, oh, no,
- 15:59Speaker 7: he's a red flash. He has something to hide that's
- 16:01Speaker 7: not normal. So are Emily's friends the problem here? Or
- 16:06Speaker 7: is it a problem that the guy that Emily's dating
- 16:09Speaker 7: doesn't have any close friends?
- 16:11Speaker 6: Sorry, go ahead, No, I mean I was just thinking.
- 16:14Speaker 6: I'm trying.
- 16:15Speaker 7: I don't know that Mikey has any close friends that
- 16:18Speaker 7: I can think of.
- 16:19Speaker 4: What What do.
- 16:21Speaker 6: You mean, Gabe? Why are you looking at me like that?
- 16:25Speaker 4: What am I do?
- 16:28Speaker 6: I just not I think the term is chopped to
- 16:31Speaker 6: live there?
- 16:32Speaker 5: What am I just space and air when I go
- 16:36Speaker 5: to visit your lovely home.
- 16:38Speaker 7: I said that to bother you you are.
- 16:41Speaker 6: His close friend.
- 16:42Speaker 7: I'm kidding, but I don't think if Mikey didn't have
- 16:46Speaker 7: any close friends, I don't know that I would be.
- 16:51Speaker 6: Bothered. But I'll be your close friends.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Swear to God.
- 16:54Speaker 5: I was just about to say that sounds like where
- 16:57Speaker 5: you'd be like I'm your close Yeah, I'm your.
- 16:58Speaker 6: Clothes, I'm all you need. I'm the close friend now.
- 17:01Speaker 5: And there are a lot of people on our Facebook
- 17:03Speaker 5: page who are saying, you know, it's not a red flag.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Not everyone wants or necessarily needs close friends in their lives.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Some people are kind of agreeing with you, Angie, that
- 17:12Speaker 5: it's not a red flag. But yeah, it could be
- 17:14Speaker 5: something to just keep an eye out for on Maybe
- 17:17Speaker 5: it's tougher to commit to some someone, not something, but
- 17:20Speaker 5: someone when you haven't maybe developed that skill your entire life.
- 17:24Speaker 7: Yeah, and then I do always love hearing I agree
- 17:28Speaker 7: with Angie, So.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Thank you, Julia.
- 17:30Speaker 5: And then Michelle said, well, it's a little weird he
- 17:33Speaker 5: doesn't have any guy friends. His explanation is understandable. I
- 17:36Speaker 5: don't see a red flag. Perhaps one of your female
- 17:39Speaker 5: friends is, you know, part of the couple double date
- 17:42Speaker 5: and let the men bond, so this agree, or.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Maybe you to help you or the girl help you know,
- 17:48Speaker 4: get him a buddy or something.
- 17:49Speaker 7: Yeah, I am totally down with that cause I think
- 17:52Speaker 7: in general, Emily, your roommates are maybe being haters this morning.
- 18:04Speaker 5: And if you don't know what this is, this is
- 18:06Speaker 5: from the script's spelling bee.
- 18:08Speaker 6: Yes.
- 18:08Speaker 5: This morning, I was trying to respond to an email saying, yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 5: I'm available to do this. Let me let me tell
- 18:14Speaker 5: you your boy saw on the clock. It was about
- 18:19Speaker 5: five twelve. Okay, I tried to spell the word available.
- 18:23Speaker 5: I'm not kidding you. By the time I finally figured
- 18:25Speaker 5: out where the ail goes.
- 18:28Speaker 4: It was five twenty five.
- 18:32Speaker 5: I sat and deleted and retried, and I'm like, I'm
- 18:35Speaker 5: not looking this up. I refuse normally when I can't
- 18:37Speaker 5: spell a word. I'm very lucky in here. I just asked, Angie, yeah,
- 18:41Speaker 5: and you were you were in a different studio doing something,
- 18:43Speaker 5: and I was, I don't need her.
- 18:45Speaker 4: I can do it.
- 18:46Speaker 6: You know what.
- 18:46Speaker 4: I could not do it.
- 18:47Speaker 7: I am a pretty good speller, but I still have
- 18:50Speaker 7: ones that trip me up, Like I can't spell rhythm
- 18:55Speaker 7: without really having to think about it because it's the
- 18:58Speaker 7: extra H in there that why why are you there?
- 19:01Speaker 6: And it just looks wrong. Do you spell rhythm?
- 19:04Speaker 4: Do you want to give it a shot real quick?
- 19:06Speaker 6: Are okay? Sorry? Sorry, I'm trying to picture our h
- 19:12Speaker 6: why th m? That's correct, but I thought that's wrong.
- 19:18Speaker 5: I thought there was two wys in it. Now, I
- 19:21Speaker 5: will tell you right now, there are a lot of things.
- 19:23Speaker 5: I'm very average, yet I am the world's worst speller.
- 19:28Speaker 5: It is just a skill that, you know, I kind
- 19:31Speaker 5: of just don't have.
- 19:32Speaker 7: I've always been told that it's either you're a good
- 19:35Speaker 7: speller or you're not. Like it's really hard to be
- 19:38Speaker 7: in the middle. Nike is a teacher. My boyfriend, he's
- 19:40Speaker 7: a teacher, terrible speller, terrible spell less. But it's just
- 19:46Speaker 7: one of them. Either you're great at it or you're not.
- 19:48Speaker 7: I'm always correcting this man all the time, and he's.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Just getting misspelled texts all day from two people seven
- 19:56Speaker 5: oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven. What
- 19:59Speaker 5: is a war that?
- 20:00Speaker 4: No matter what, you just have the hardest time spelling it?
- 20:03Speaker 5: And we do have this up on Facebook as well,
- 20:05Speaker 5: a lot of good ones on there and a lot
- 20:07Speaker 5: of people thinking spell check as they do it.
- 20:09Speaker 4: But Emel, yeah, we have her on the phone. What
- 20:11Speaker 4: word is it for you?
- 20:13Speaker 7: For some reason, I can never remember how to spell unnecessary.
- 20:17Speaker 6: I always have to look it up.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I don't know if.
- 20:19Speaker 1: There's a double end double seed. I do know that
- 20:23Speaker 1: there are two f's, though, and I'll get it one day.
- 20:26Speaker 5: I've never spelled it right on the first trine in
- 20:28Speaker 5: my life.
- 20:29Speaker 7: I think in those situations, I think it's unnecessary to
- 20:33Speaker 7: use the word at all, so I would just reword
- 20:35Speaker 7: the entire thing. It's not necessary, it's not it's not important.
- 20:40Speaker 6: Avoid it.
- 20:41Speaker 4: See that needed?
- 20:42Speaker 6: Yeah, there we go.
- 20:43Speaker 5: I probably change it. What about you, Marcus? What word
- 20:47Speaker 5: do you have trouble spelling?
- 20:48Speaker 2: I will never retain how to spell supersed. I'm always
- 20:52Speaker 2: trying to sound a little smarter in my company emails,
- 20:54Speaker 2: and that word trips me up every single time.
- 20:57Speaker 5: I've never even used that word in a sentence, So
- 21:01Speaker 5: sure I cannot spell it.
- 21:02Speaker 6: I just don't try to sound smart.
- 21:04Speaker 7: If you can't spell it, I think is the because
- 21:06Speaker 7: then it's it's extra embarrassing when you can't say the
- 21:10Speaker 7: smart thing exactly.
- 21:12Speaker 5: And this is a great one from Cynthia. I can't
- 21:14Speaker 5: spell this word either. Chihuahua, no shot, I mean no,
- 21:18Speaker 5: I just use like little dog is probably what I've
- 21:21Speaker 5: been changed.
- 21:22Speaker 6: Oh, Dylan said Worster.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Sure, so I can't even say it.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I don't.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Yeah, that's that doesn't count. No one has to know
- 21:28Speaker 6: how to spell that, Okay.
- 21:30Speaker 5: Seven one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Is
- 21:33Speaker 5: there a word? No matter how hard you try, you
- 21:36Speaker 5: just for whatever reason, can never spell it right on
- 21:38Speaker 5: the first shot. So a wonderful way to start march
- 21:44Speaker 5: here with big ninety eight point seven.
- 21:46Speaker 6: I'm almost in disbelief. That's the best news I've heard
- 21:48Speaker 6: in a long time. Speaking of news, Gabe, I'm.
- 21:53Speaker 7: Going to read you three headlines and I need you
- 21:56Speaker 7: to tell me which one is real. I feel like
- 21:59Speaker 7: this will be really difficult because what on earth is
- 22:03Speaker 7: happening in the world?
- 22:04Speaker 4: Okay, okay?
- 22:05Speaker 5: Are you ready for the first one? Yeah, I got
- 22:06Speaker 5: something for you. Okay, I want you to try to
- 22:08Speaker 5: read this. You know, serious, get your news? Uh angie
- 22:11Speaker 5: voice on? Okay, okay, are you ready?
- 22:16Speaker 7: Agility Finals erupt in chaos when rival team reveals champion
- 22:20Speaker 7: Goat was trained with Strobe light reaction drills and obstacle
- 22:24Speaker 7: bars coded in motivational molasses.
- 22:30Speaker 6: Okay, okay, there's a lot to impact. Here's the next one.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Do you want me to guess? Oh? You want me
- 22:37Speaker 4: to know?
- 22:37Speaker 6: You're gonna hear them on? Then you're gonna guess.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Okay.
- 22:39Speaker 6: Are you ready?
- 22:40Speaker 4: Yes? Okay.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Regional Penguin Swim Meet investigation launched after coach found using
- 22:46Speaker 7: underwater speakers to play pre recorded feeding bell during races.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Okay, all right, I am ready for the third one
- 22:55Speaker 5: of you are.
- 22:55Speaker 6: The final one?
- 22:56Speaker 4: Okay.
- 22:58Speaker 7: Twenty camels were discqualify from the twenty twenty six Camel
- 23:02Speaker 7: Beauty Show Festival for having botox injections, lip fillers, and
- 23:06Speaker 7: other cosmetic surgeries.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Okay, I'm gonna be really irritated when I find out
- 23:12Speaker 5: what the real one is.
- 23:14Speaker 6: Okay, which one is the real? Headline?
- 23:18Speaker 5: Okay, so the first one. I'm gonna break this down
- 23:20Speaker 5: one by one. The first one can't be real. It's
- 23:23Speaker 5: way too long.
- 23:24Speaker 6: Oh, the agility finals for the goats.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I'm going on the agility finals for the goats, not
- 23:29Speaker 5: the real one. So I have a fifty to fifty shot. Okay,
- 23:32Speaker 5: I am going to guess. I just can't see. What
- 23:37Speaker 5: are the camels?
- 23:38Speaker 4: You said?
- 23:38Speaker 6: Hm hmm.
- 23:38Speaker 5: I don't see camels in a beauty pageant. That sounds
- 23:43Speaker 5: super chat gpt to me. So yeah, I'll go with
- 23:46Speaker 5: the penguins and a coach cheating mm hmm. Okay, I'll
- 23:49Speaker 5: go with the second one is real and the other
- 23:51Speaker 5: ones are fake.
- 23:52Speaker 7: Okay, I would like to tell you that you are wrong, Gabe.
- 23:57Speaker 6: Oh shocker, the absolutely real.
- 24:00Speaker 7: The old headline is about the Camels being disqualified from
- 24:05Speaker 7: the twenty twenty six Beauty Show over botox lip fillers
- 24:10Speaker 7: and other cosmetic surgeries.
- 24:13Speaker 6: When I saw this on my timeline, what? When I
- 24:16Speaker 6: saw this on my.
- 24:17Speaker 7: Timeline, I thought, surely this is like from the Onion
- 24:21Speaker 7: or Reductress or one of those.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Follow a lot of hair, Yeah, I follow a lot.
- 24:25Speaker 7: Of parody accounts, and so I did some research and
- 24:29Speaker 7: I found it in a Forbes article that yes, another
- 24:35Speaker 7: this is the first time another camel beauty contest is
- 24:39Speaker 7: hit by a botox cheating scandal.
- 24:43Speaker 6: What is happening, Gabe?
- 24:45Speaker 5: Why camels are cute in their own way?
- 24:49Speaker 7: Are they all just trying to look super hot for
- 24:51Speaker 7: Joe Cammel?
- 24:52Speaker 6: Is he the mastermind behind me?
- 24:54Speaker 4: What are we doing starting off the day with something good?
- 25:03Speaker 2: This is Gabe's good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Well, Gabe's good news of the day today, very simple,
- 25:11Speaker 5: very easy choice. Here on Friday, Corey and I when
- 25:14Speaker 5: I was done with work here, Corey and I found
- 25:16Speaker 5: out that we will have a little baby girl to
- 25:20Speaker 5: welcome to the Glitten family. It was so awesome this
- 25:24Speaker 5: morning to come in and we obviously knew the news,
- 25:27Speaker 5: and Corey was in here on the radio today, which
- 25:30Speaker 5: is something that will happen very few and far in
- 25:32Speaker 5: between them. Yeah, but it was so cool to have
- 25:35Speaker 5: Angie involved in the big reveal. I mean, obviously we knew,
- 25:38Speaker 5: but you got to pop the balloon, yes, because I
- 25:40Speaker 5: did not know. Most people buy those gender reveal things,
- 25:44Speaker 5: whether it's the cake or the I don't know, the
- 25:47Speaker 5: confetti or the whatever it is.
- 25:49Speaker 6: They I wouldn't have minded a cake.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Yeah, they buy them for themselves, and here we bought
- 25:54Speaker 5: this thing literally for Angie.
- 25:56Speaker 4: So it was very cool to have you a part you.
- 25:58Speaker 7: I'm very excited for you to become a girl dad.
- 26:03Speaker 6: And also you wouldn't.
- 26:04Speaker 7: Tell me on Friday what you were having, so I
- 26:06Speaker 7: wanted a spectacle if I had to wait.
- 26:08Speaker 6: Yeah, you're going to be such a good dad.
- 26:10Speaker 5: You.
- 26:11Speaker 6: I mean, you just have such a brightness, such a.
- 26:14Speaker 7: Fun spirit that that's going to be instrumental in raising
- 26:18Speaker 7: your kid.
- 26:19Speaker 6: I just I'm just so excited.
- 26:21Speaker 7: I get emotional thinking about it because I know there
- 26:27Speaker 7: were you know, we were taking bets in the office, like,
- 26:29Speaker 7: what's it going to be a boy or a girl?
- 26:31Speaker 7: But I think that you are meant to be a
- 26:34Speaker 7: girl dad, at least for your first ever endeavor. And
- 26:38Speaker 7: I can't wait to watch how that little girl just
- 26:41Speaker 7: lights up your life, Gabe. It's going to be life
- 26:44Speaker 7: changing in a way that you can't even expect.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm incredibly excited. I've told Angie out there a
- 26:50Speaker 5: million times.
- 26:51Speaker 4: I don't know why. I just think it's a girl.
- 26:52Speaker 5: I have got feeling about it, and then we got
- 26:56Speaker 5: the news that it was and we're just very excited.
- 26:58Speaker 2: You know.
- 26:58Speaker 4: I'm really excited for a thing is like, you.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Know, going to soccer or softball or hockey or the
- 27:04Speaker 5: father daughter dance thing.
- 27:08Speaker 7: You guys in matching little flamnel outfits.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm excited to raise a girl that I try
- 27:14Speaker 5: to turn into Kurt Cobain, you know. But no, we're
- 27:19Speaker 5: just very excited and baby g it'll be a lot
- 27:21Speaker 5: of fun when she arrives. And just thank you so
- 27:23Speaker 5: much for anyone who cared and was excited and wanted
- 27:26Speaker 5: to listen and find out what it was.
- 27:27Speaker 4: So we really appreciate that. Here at Big ninety eight
- 27:29Speaker 4: point seven.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Thank you for everyone who played along on Facebook, and
- 27:32Speaker 5: I will be getting five dollars to someone who did
- 27:36Speaker 5: select girl. I'm actually gonna have Angie picked the winner,
- 27:39Speaker 5: so you can be upset with her.
- 27:41Speaker 4: If it's not.
- 27:41Speaker 6: You, you're just throwing it into a random generator.
- 27:44Speaker 5: Okay, all right, yeah, thank you be mad at probably
- 27:49Speaker 5: chat GPT to randomly select the name out of the
- 27:52Speaker 5: list we give it. But thank you all so much.
- 27:54Speaker 5: I really really appreciate all the love today. So the
- 27:56Speaker 5: world is full of nice people. If you can't find one.
- 27:59Speaker 6: You gotta make one.
- 28:01Speaker 5: I see, I like that. I like that, all right,
- 28:04Speaker 5: the world's full of nice What is that? The world's
- 28:06Speaker 5: full of nice people. If you can't find one, you
- 28:07Speaker 5: gotta be one or make one.
