- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, Nicole, good morning.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 0:02Speaker 1: What's going on? What are you calling for?
- 0:04Speaker 2: I was just hoping I could play a game to
- 0:07Speaker 2: win Wicked Ball tickets.
- 0:09Speaker 1: No, we're not playing a game here.
- 0:11Speaker 3: What?
- 0:11Speaker 1: What else? What else do you want to do for
- 0:13Speaker 1: Wicked Ball tickets? Why do you want to go to
- 0:14Speaker 1: Wicked Ball?
- 0:16Speaker 2: Well, I go every.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Year, and I actually won the group. I was the
- 0:20Speaker 3: Zodiac Signs.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I won the group contest.
- 0:22Speaker 4: A few years ago. Oh, my gosh.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I have been waiting for them to bring it back.
- 0:29Speaker 3: And they didn't for a few years, I think, because
- 0:30Speaker 3: they were redoing the ballroom.
- 0:32Speaker 2: So they were bringing it back this year. We're on
- 0:34Speaker 2: the commercial, which.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Is so cool.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Like, some of my friends are like, oh, my God,
- 0:37Speaker 2: I recognize your brother and sister. So it's so neat that, like,
- 0:40Speaker 2: we're on the commercial. We're like, we're kind of famous. Oh,
- 0:43Speaker 2: that's good.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 0:44Speaker 4: You've got to go.
- 0:45Speaker 5: Wicked Ball is Friday night, October 30th. Rich and Kyle
- 0:49Speaker 5: are hosting the whole thing. DJ Nakatsu is going to
- 0:51Speaker 5: be there. You can win your share of $ 15, 000 cash prize,
- 0:56Speaker 5: the biggest party, the biggest Halloween payout. Wicked Ball is
- 0:58Speaker 5: going to be the spot to be this Halloween. Tickets
- 1:00Speaker 5: on sale, Ticketmaster.com. You can win them with us. But
- 1:03Speaker 5: let me ask, do you already know what you're going
- 1:04Speaker 5: to be for Halloween this year?
- 1:06Speaker 2: So Britney Spears toxic like airplane dress. I don't– that's
- 1:13Speaker 2: like not enough to win. But I do have an
- 1:16Speaker 2: Oogie Boogie costume.
- 1:18Speaker 3: That, like, lights up and it's also homemade and it has, like,
- 1:22Speaker 3: a bunch of, like, bugs on it.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Like, it's super cute.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:25Speaker 2: So I was thinking about, like, wearing that because.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I think that's a little bit more... I get a
- 1:29Speaker 3: lot of attention when I wear it.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Like, a lot of people want.
- 1:31Speaker 2: To take pictures of me and stuff.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that'd be real cool. So I feel like.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like that one's, like, more unique and
- 1:37Speaker 3: really neat.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Like, the Britney Spears one, it's cute, but, like, whatever.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Like, it's not.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:43Speaker 4: It's not interesting.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Kyle, do you know, are you keeping it a secret
- 1:47Speaker 5: until that night, that costume? Because I know you do.
- 1:49Speaker 5: You get all out. I know you're going to do
- 1:51Speaker 5: one for the show. You're going to do one for
- 1:52Speaker 5: your family. Are you a separate one for Wicked Ball?
- 1:54Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:55Speaker 1: You are? So you don't want to say until that night.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I would say, like, if I would call it something,
- 2:00Speaker 3: my vision is it's like sort of like a monster
- 2:04Speaker 3: disco costume.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:05Speaker 4: She showed me some inspo pics.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Kyle's going to look off the freaky charts. She has
- 2:10Speaker 1: never not done that for Halloween.
- 2:12Speaker 4: No, it's going to be so epic.
- 2:13Speaker 1: So let's give Nicole tickets. Nicole, we're going to give
- 2:16Speaker 1: you tickets. When you do, you better come say hi
- 2:18Speaker 1: to us.
- 2:19Speaker 2: It should be easy to.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Find, I'm sure.
- 2:21Speaker 1: All right, so hold on.
- 2:21Speaker 5: We're going to set you up with tickets at Wicked Ball.
- 2:23Speaker 5: They're also available at Ticketmaster.com.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Thanks, Nicole. Thanks for listening.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Thank you. You guys are so awesome.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I love you.
- 2:29Speaker 5: All right, now let's get into stacks and hacks. I
- 2:31Speaker 5: got stacks information. Rich has life hacks. This is, I
- 2:34Speaker 5: had no idea. And I think this is so interesting.
- 2:36Speaker 5: You know why people cover your mouth and you yawn?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Why?
- 2:40Speaker 3: Why?
- 2:40Speaker 4: Well, I just figured so people don't see the inside
- 2:42Speaker 4: of your uvula. Uvula? Your what? Your uvula. That little
- 2:48Speaker 4: dangly thing that hangs in the back of your throat,
- 2:50Speaker 4: like Cardi B said. I always covered it because my
- 2:53Speaker 4: little brother would try to stick his finger in my mouth.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Well.
- 2:57Speaker 5: People covered their mouths back in the day in medieval
- 2:59Speaker 5: Europe because they thought an open mouth allowed your soul to.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Escape and evil spirits and demons to enter your body.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Very spooky. They should have put a lot on yawning
- 3:07Speaker 4: back then.
- 3:07Speaker 5: Today, the spiritual meanings have faded and it's become a
- 3:10Speaker 5: basic matter. Just like back then, you didn't know anything.
- 3:12Speaker 5: All of a sudden, for some reason, you start to
- 3:13Speaker 5: open your mouth like yawning. You have no control.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Evil spirits, evil spirits.
- 3:18Speaker 4: He's the devil in them.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Anyway, Pringles just announced a spooky contest called Once You Drop.
- 3:24Speaker 5: It offers you the chance to be buried in a
- 3:27Speaker 5: Pringles can urn.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Oh, that's nice.
- 3:29Speaker 5: You got to go sign their, like, a waiver, and
- 3:32Speaker 5: you get this can, and you're a Pringles can, and
- 3:34Speaker 5: they put you in the ashes, and they burn you.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's fun for Halloween.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Oh, this is classic. This is just classic.
- 3:41Speaker 5: A woman in New Hampshire went to urgent care because
- 3:45Speaker 5: she was suffering an asthma attack, and they put her
- 3:47Speaker 5: in the room.
- 3:47Speaker 1: It was getting kind of late, and she's waiting.
- 3:49Speaker 5: You know you're waiting there a long time, and then
- 3:51Speaker 5: you're kind of like, I'm going to go let them
- 3:53Speaker 5: know I'm here, and they open the door.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Anyway, they were close. They locked her in. They forgot
- 3:57Speaker 1: she was in there. Here's what happened. This is her
- 3:59Speaker 1: telling the story.
- 4:01Speaker 6: I popped my head out and said, hello, hello. Very shocking.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Just like, I can't believe this just happened to me.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Because literally when I was thinking in my head, sitting
- 4:10Speaker 6: there at 10 past 8, I was like, they would
- 4:12Speaker 6: never lock me in.
- 4:13Speaker 3: That's crazy talk.
- 4:14Speaker 6: That only happens in movies or on a show. About
- 4:16Speaker 6: 10 past 8, I was like, huh, it's kind of quiet.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I'm not sure what's going on. And then I felt
- 4:23Speaker 6: a little funny because you always feel funny popping out
- 4:25Speaker 6: of the door when you're in a doctor's office. As
- 4:28Speaker 6: soon as I got near the door and pressed the
- 4:30Speaker 6: door immediately and it was so shrilling loud, it startled me.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Maybe let them know and remind them that you're in
- 4:35Speaker 6: the room if you're there near close.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So she had to call 911 and she was rescued.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. That would give me heart. I would
- 4:42Speaker 4: breathe harder.
- 4:43Speaker 1: This is another thing that's crazy.
- 4:45Speaker 5: A 26-year-old airline passenger was arrested after sneaking through an
- 4:49Speaker 5: access door at an airport, going on the tarmac and stealing.
- 4:53Speaker 1: The airport tug.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Why would you do that?
- 4:55Speaker 5: He finally crashed it. This is the radio. This is
- 4:58Speaker 5: the audio with people talking about what happened. But it's like,
- 5:00Speaker 5: you know what I'm talking about? It's like a thing
- 5:03Speaker 5: that tugs the plane.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's like a huge tractor. It's freaking nuts. Listen to this. Hey, ground.
- 5:07Speaker 1: SkyWest 3492. Just out of curiosity, you know what's going
- 5:10Speaker 1: on with the vehicles behind us with all the law enforcement?
- 5:14Speaker 2: Looks like someone stole a tug.
- 5:15Speaker 1: The security breached the airport.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Someone stole a tug.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. That's crazy. Kind of unexpected
- 5:20Speaker 1: in Orange County. I worry about our security in our airports,
- 5:24Speaker 1: not only here, but everywhere else. Isn't that crazy?
- 5:29Speaker 4: Security breach is what they said. Yeah, you can't just
- 5:32Speaker 4: get down on the tarmac. First of all, you can't
- 5:34Speaker 4: outrun anybody in one of those. So that's a bad idea.
- 5:37Speaker 1: This is pretty big news.
- 5:38Speaker 5: And the Terminix, the pest people, just released the annual
- 5:42Speaker 5: ranking of America's most rat-infested cities. New York's still number one.
- 5:47Speaker 5: It goes New York, L.A., Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, D.C., Boston, Dallas, Detroit.
- 5:52Speaker 5: I'm so glad that we are nowhere anywhere near there.
- 5:55Speaker 5: But this is what's really weird. Number 11 on the
- 5:58Speaker 5: list is Hartford, Connecticut. I've never been there. But last year,
- 6:01Speaker 5: it was number 115th. How do you go from 115th?
- 6:05Speaker 5: A lot of people moving from New York, it's too expensive.
- 6:08Speaker 5: To 11th with rats.
- 6:09Speaker 1: The rats. They had the 11th most rats. But they
- 6:12Speaker 1: were 100. Like, what the heck happened?
- 6:14Speaker 4: Jeez, that's where UConn is at.
- 6:16Speaker 1: What do you got, Rich?
- 6:17Speaker 4: Somebody left a sandwich in their room. Okay, I think
- 6:20Speaker 4: you guys are going to use this hack for the
- 6:22Speaker 4: rest of your life because I think it's so interesting.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Do you want to know if somebody's actually happy to
- 6:28Speaker 4: see you when you walk.
- 6:28Speaker 1: In the room? Of course.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Well, here's the little body language trick. Watch their eyes,
- 6:33Speaker 4: not their mouth, because many people smile when you walk
- 6:36Speaker 4: into the room. The corners of their eyes, when they wrinkle,
- 6:41Speaker 4: that means they're really happy. But a polite forced smile,
- 6:45Speaker 4: it only moves the mouth. So it's not a foolproof
- 6:48Speaker 4: lie detector, but you can see somebody smile with their eyes.
- 6:51Speaker 4: So watch their eyes, not their mouth. It's called a
- 6:54Speaker 4: Duchenne smile. That means you smile with your eyes. That
- 6:57Speaker 4: means they're really happy to see you.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I like to shake my butt and run up to them.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Now, Kyle, this won't work if Kyle's in the room because,
- 7:03Speaker 4: you know, she's had enough of the... I was going
- 7:05Speaker 4: to ask, what about for people with Botox? You can't tell.
- 7:07Speaker 4: You just have to guess there. But for people who
- 7:11Speaker 4: aren't as injected, you can see the smile in the eyes.
- 7:14Speaker 4: If you don't see the smile in the eyes, they're
- 7:16Speaker 4: probably just neutral to see you. That life hack and
- 7:18Speaker 4: many more can be found at johnjainrich.com.
