- 0:47Speaker 2: Hi, this is Tom Adkins, or Detective Ray Cameron. You're
- 0:52Speaker 2: listening to Movie Meltdown. Thrill me, baby.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Well, that's all right. He's fast asleep.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Oh, good.
- 1:02Speaker 3: It's lovely and quiet here. Some people might think it's
- 1:06Speaker 3: too quiet. Oh, not for me.
- 1:08Speaker 6: In our house, the telly's always blaring or the people
- 1:10Speaker 6: next door.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Are having an argument. It's dreadful. No, you won't hear
- 1:13Speaker 3: a sound here. Well, apart from the occasional ghost or poltergeist.
- 1:18Speaker 5: Jim.
- 1:20Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Just kidding.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You've got a great sense of humour. That's all right.
- 1:27Speaker 8: Those sort of things don't bother me.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Is there anything I ought to know, Mrs.
- 1:31Speaker 8: Lloyd?
- 1:31Speaker 5: What?
- 1:33Speaker 3: No.
- 1:34Speaker 9: About Tara?
- 1:35Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:37Speaker 3: You won't even hear him, I hope. He's so tired,
- 1:40Speaker 3: he should sleep like a log.
- 1:42Speaker 1: That's super.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I've left the number of the plover in here by
- 1:46Speaker 3: the telephone in case of emergencies, God forbid.
- 1:51Speaker 10: Now, don't worry.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I'll cope.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yes, of course, but don't hesitate to ring if.
- 1:56Speaker 11: Mrs.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Lloyd, nothing's going to happen.
- 1:58Speaker 8: Don't worry.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Now, you go out and enjoy yourself. Yes, come on,
- 2:01Speaker 3: worry guts. It's just that I'm not used to leaving it.
- 2:05Speaker 3: You've got to get used to it.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Come on.
- 2:16Speaker 10: Your house is on fire.
- 2:21Speaker 12: Your children are.
- 2:28Speaker 9: Gone.
- 2:29Speaker 8: All but the one who's alone.
- 2:38Speaker 12: Ladybird, fly away home.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Welcome to Movie Meltdown Sofa Theater. Once again, I am Brian.
- 2:48Speaker 8: Hi, I'm still Misty.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I am Jerry.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm Marlena.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Alright, and I'll be your psychopath for this episode. There's
- 2:57Speaker 5: a whole lot of throwing my name around in this show.
- 2:59Speaker 13: You're the psychopath in every episode.
- 3:00Speaker 4: What are you talking about?
- 3:01Speaker 5: Oh, that's true. This week's Sofa Theater feature is Fright.
- 3:05Speaker 5: The year is 1971. Director is Peter Collinson. And the plot,
- 3:11Speaker 5: according to our favorite IMDb, the young babysitter Amanda arrives
- 3:15Speaker 5: at the Lloyd residence to spend the evening looking after
- 3:18Speaker 5: their young son. Soon after the Lloyds leave, a series
- 3:20Speaker 5: of frightening occurrences in the gloomy house have Amanda's nerves
- 3:23Speaker 5: on edge, and I'll stop there and throw in the
- 3:26Speaker 5: spoiler alert, because from there, it goes on to tell
- 3:29Speaker 5: you what else happened, so we won't even get into
- 3:31Speaker 5: that yet.
- 3:33Speaker 8: Alright.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Where would you like to begin?
- 3:36Speaker 8: I fucking hated this movie.
- 3:39Speaker 12: This movie was kind of annoying. It started out to
- 3:41Speaker 12: be okay, you know, I kind of I kind of
- 3:43Speaker 12: liked it. I was waiting, but as it got further along,
- 3:46Speaker 12: I was like, really?
- 3:47Speaker 4: Okay, you're serious. This is the fright? This is what's
- 3:51Speaker 4: scaring her?
- 3:51Speaker 8: And just drawled on forever.
- 3:55Speaker 12: Yeah, I drawled on forever, and the characters were stupid
- 3:59Speaker 12: and useless.
- 4:00Speaker 4: And annoying, and I kind of wanted to see them
- 4:03Speaker 4: all die.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 8: Her constant whimpering at the end. I was like, oh,
- 4:08Speaker 8: my God, I want to fucking strangle you.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Just kill her, please. Just kill her and get it
- 4:14Speaker 4: over with.
- 4:14Speaker 8: Her yelling at him. Like, dude, really yelling? That's really
- 4:17Speaker 8: what you're going to do to this guy who's going
- 4:18Speaker 8: to fucking kill you? You're going to yell at him?
- 4:21Speaker 8: Confrontational bitch.
- 4:22Speaker 13: You deserve to fucking die.
- 4:24Speaker 8: She didn't, though. She ended up being the fucking hero
- 4:27Speaker 8: in this set.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Which is weird.
- 4:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 5: That is, let's see, Susan George is our main babysitter girl.
- 4:36Speaker 5: She's got an awful cry face. Yeah. I don't think
- 4:42Speaker 5: that's what she was hired for.
- 4:44Speaker 2: She does.
- 4:45Speaker 5: They make use of her attributes midway through the movie. Oh, yeah.
- 4:50Speaker 5: And her short skirt. You did like her outfit there, Marlene.
- 4:55Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 8: Saw some booty undercarriage.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Yeah, what was that? That was some kind of weird 70s.
- 5:00Speaker 8: Sweater dress?
- 5:01Speaker 4: Sweater go-go dress.
- 5:03Speaker 12: Digging the go-go boots, the big patent leather go-go boots.
- 5:06Speaker 9: Who shows up for a fucking babysitter job dressed like
- 5:08Speaker 9: a go-go dancer?
- 5:10Speaker 4: Well, that was like in the 70s.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I don't give a fuck.
- 5:14Speaker 9: Women still dress like whores nowadays. I'm not like, oh,
- 5:16Speaker 9: I'm going to show a pet. This babysitting job dressed
- 5:19Speaker 9: like a $ 2 hooker.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I mean, like, books are.
- 5:23Speaker 13: Always dressed like sluts. Why not babysit?
- 5:25Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying, though. Actually, look at most of
- 5:28Speaker 5: the young girls out there. If you ask them to
- 5:29Speaker 5: come over to your house, they would probably still come
- 5:32Speaker 5: dressed like they do at the mall.
- 5:34Speaker 13: They'd probably show up in, like, ridiculously short shorts.
- 5:36Speaker 8: Okay.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Booty shorts and baby doll tees.
- 5:40Speaker 13: I just.
- 5:41Speaker 5: You're just old, man. You don't know how them kids dress.
- 5:44Speaker 8: I'm just an old lady, I guess.
- 5:48Speaker 14: Oh, man.
- 5:48Speaker 5: So, yeah, she actually was in, I think she went
- 5:51Speaker 5: on to do Straw Dogs after that. So another, sort
- 5:55Speaker 5: of in the same situation there. What else have we got? Actually,
- 6:00Speaker 5: I think the mother of it is, let's see.
- 6:04Speaker 9: Her name is Honor.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Yeah, Honor Blackman, who, if I'm not mistaken, was Pussy Galore.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Oh, I thought she looked kind of familiar.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Other than that, there's not a whole.
- 6:17Speaker 9: Lot.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 6:18Speaker 9: What?
- 6:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 8: You're so creepy.
- 6:21Speaker 4: I'm looking for bond chicks. What do you mean?
- 6:24Speaker 8: Are these fruit chicks?
- 6:27Speaker 4: No, like early bond chicks. Nobody after Moore. Terry Hatcher? No.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Was she in a Roger Moore movie?
- 6:35Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 6:36Speaker 8: I've never seen a Bond movie. Fuck. I don't know.
- 6:39Speaker 4: No, she wasn't. She probably wasn't born yet.
- 6:41Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 6:43Speaker 8: She was pretty fucking old. Wow.
- 6:47Speaker 4: Oh, I don't know.
- 6:48Speaker 5: And desperate.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Whatever. Regardless. Who cares?
- 6:52Speaker 5: So yeah, that's pretty much the recognizable people. The rest
- 6:54Speaker 5: of these are, I'm sure, well-known in Britain, but not
- 6:59Speaker 5: really recognizable throughout the rest of this.
- 7:01Speaker 8: I fucking hate British people.
- 7:02Speaker 5: I think that's part of your problem, too, is we
- 7:05Speaker 5: all kind of had a lot of bad British moments here.
- 7:08Speaker 8: I hate British people. I hate their British teeth and
- 7:10Speaker 8: their British accent. I fucking hate kids with British accents.
- 7:13Speaker 8: I don't know what it is. I have a fucking
- 7:16Speaker 8: three-year-old with British accents.
- 7:17Speaker 13: Oh, my fucking God.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Which is weird, because most of my family is British.
- 7:21Speaker 13: They don't have British accents.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Most of your family is British? Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 8: I didn't know that. Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Dads have.
- 7:26Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 4: British and Irish.
- 7:28Speaker 5: They've been away long enough to not have the accent.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Yeah, well, no.
- 7:32Speaker 8: That's why I don't like your dad that much. Does
- 7:33Speaker 8: your dad have a British accent?
- 7:35Speaker 4: No, no, no. They're not, like, straight-off-the-boat British. They're, like,
- 7:39Speaker 4: you know... Great-great-great-grandfather British. Yeah, you can look at them. Hell,
- 7:43Speaker 4: they look like... You look at most of my dad's
- 7:46Speaker 4: side of the family and they look like the cast
- 7:47Speaker 4: from Are You Being Served.
- 7:50Speaker 10: Ouch!
- 7:51Speaker 12: Yeah, there's a couple Captain Peacocks running around in my family.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Wow, last week it was Joni calling out her own
- 7:59Speaker 5: family and this week you're taking over.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Fucking British kid.
- 8:08Speaker 13: Unless it's S Club 7.
- 8:09Speaker 8: Fuck Britain.
- 8:11Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 5: And even they had a couple of scary ones. Oh, man.
- 8:17Speaker 8: I love S Club 7.
- 8:19Speaker 5: Ain't no party like an S Club party.
- 8:23Speaker 4: It's okay. I love Britain. It's alright. You guys are cool.
- 8:28Speaker 14: What?
- 8:28Speaker 8: You're a kiss-ass.
- 8:31Speaker 2: British.
- 8:32Speaker 5: For all our British listeners.
- 8:34Speaker 9: Do you have a British bike?
- 8:36Speaker 4: I've got a British motorcycle, yeah. How can you be
- 8:38Speaker 4: talking bad about that?
- 8:39Speaker 8: It's easy.
- 8:40Speaker 13: I don't feel good.
- 8:41Speaker 8: I can talk shit about anything when I feel like
- 8:43Speaker 8: I'm going to hurl.
- 8:44Speaker 4: What do you want? Okay, all right, whatever.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I blame the sandwich more than the movie.
- 8:49Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 8: Dude, that sandwich made me ill. Fucking sandwich.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yeah, when Misty gets sick or upset. You better just
- 8:59Speaker 4: watch out. Everybody's fair game.
- 9:01Speaker 5: That's true.
- 9:02Speaker 8: There will be no survivors.
- 9:04Speaker 4: No, there can be only one.
- 9:06Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 9:07Speaker 5: And it's Misty.
- 9:09Speaker 13: Okay, so let's start talking about this movie.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Oh, Lord.
- 9:12Speaker 8: It was too fucking long.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Too long, too British.
- 9:18Speaker 8: And not enough.
- 9:19Speaker 12: A lot of jump scares that really weren't scary. A
- 9:22Speaker 12: lot of things that she was looking at that shouldn't
- 9:24Speaker 12: have been scary at all, like water dripping.
- 9:27Speaker 4: She was like.
- 9:29Speaker 12: And then they focus in on the tap water dripping.
- 9:32Speaker 13: And she got attacked by that ferocious shirt.
- 9:35Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 9:35Speaker 4: Yeah, on the clothesline. It's a shirt.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I really liked the first half hour or so.
- 9:43Speaker 5: I think a lot of that stuff was well put together.
- 9:47Speaker 5: I think, again.
- 9:49Speaker 12: Yeah, I was trying to set you up for some
- 9:50Speaker 12: scary stuff going on, but still.
- 9:53Speaker 4: She's just completely fucking useless. She's like a timid bunny
- 9:58Speaker 4: rabbit that's scared of.
- 10:00Speaker 12: everything you know it's just like the fire's crackling and
- 10:04Speaker 12: she freaks.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Out you know just what the hell how.
- 10:07Speaker 8: Are you even alive and yet the tv blares with
- 10:09Speaker 8: sudden screaming and she's just like.
- 10:10Speaker 12: Oh yeah and she's absolutely not huh what oh the tv's.
- 10:14Speaker 4: On But yet water frightens her.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Well, she's very uneven, really. Because, yeah, we get the
- 10:19Speaker 5: moments in the beginning where she's freaked out by our guy.
- 10:22Speaker 5: But then by the end, she's yelling at him. So
- 10:24Speaker 5: she's kind of inconsistent throughout the movie.
- 10:27Speaker 13: They just didn't write her character very well, I guess.
- 10:30Speaker 5: I don't know. It's weird because I think there's so
- 10:33Speaker 5: much other stuff going on that's well-structured. I think the
- 10:36Speaker 5: first half of it is set up really well as
- 10:38Speaker 5: far as pacing. I think it does have a lot
- 10:41Speaker 5: of tension that's built in. A lot of that is
- 10:43Speaker 5: due more to the direction. But I think even... As
- 10:45Speaker 5: far as just writing, I think the setup on the
- 10:47Speaker 5: first half of it is really well done because it
- 10:50Speaker 5: gives you this scenario that you go in, you're kind
- 10:53Speaker 5: of like the babysitter, you have no idea what's going on.
- 10:55Speaker 5: So you don't know what's up with the couple. They
- 10:57Speaker 5: seem kind of weird right off the bat, but you
- 10:59Speaker 5: don't know what it is. And as they start talking,
- 11:02Speaker 5: as it cuts back and forth to them, you learn
- 11:04Speaker 5: a little bit more about that. And then they get
- 11:07Speaker 5: to the anniversary part, and then you realize, oh, it's
- 11:11Speaker 5: a divorce. So now you're like, okay, so the couple's
- 11:13Speaker 5: getting divorced?
- 11:14Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 5: But then it cuts away, and it still doesn't really
- 11:16Speaker 5: reveal everything. And you go back to the girl, and
- 11:18Speaker 5: you see more about her, and you get the traditional
- 11:20Speaker 5: boyfriend showing up scenario. And then it cuts back to them,
- 11:23Speaker 5: and you learn more about the husband. So it does
- 11:25Speaker 5: this really good job of just sort of unfolding the
- 11:27Speaker 5: plot for, like, the first half of the movie. And
- 11:30Speaker 5: then it sort of, by the time you get, okay,
- 11:32Speaker 5: now we know what's going on, that's when it starts
- 11:34Speaker 5: to drag. Once the husband enters into the picture, it
- 11:38Speaker 5: kind of slows it down. I'm confused.
- 11:40Speaker 9: So... They were celebrating her divorce from the first crazy guy?
- 11:45Speaker 5: Yes.
- 11:45Speaker 9: Okay, because I thought she was already remarried to that guy.
- 11:48Speaker 5: They were presenting it to, like, that's the thing. She
- 11:50Speaker 5: kept referring to him as her husband, and everybody in
- 11:52Speaker 5: town acted like they were married, but everybody also knew
- 11:55Speaker 5: the truth because it's a small little village, so everybody
- 11:58Speaker 5: was kind of like, that's not her real husband, you know, so...
- 12:01Speaker 5: They'd been together for years, it seemed like, but everybody
- 12:04Speaker 5: sort of knew the truth because... That's.
- 12:06Speaker 13: Probably why that guy wanted to kill her.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Probably.
- 12:09Speaker 4: This movie can be summed up really easily.
- 12:13Speaker 12: It's like a chick that you really want to have
- 12:15Speaker 12: sex with really bad, and she's really hot, and you've
- 12:17Speaker 12: got that really good build-up, build-up, build-up, build-up, and then
- 12:21Speaker 12: it's not so great. in women you can insert guys
- 12:25Speaker 12: in there too.
- 12:26Speaker 5: Yeah i'm sure it works for the guy either way
- 12:27Speaker 5: it's just like it's.
- 12:28Speaker 16: Like insert guys in there too there's that build up
- 12:34Speaker 16: that tension that this is going to be good this
- 12:36Speaker 16: is going to be great and it's good and then
- 12:39Speaker 16: and you do get a payoff but.
- 12:41Speaker 12: It's kind of like a you know i could have
- 12:42Speaker 12: just did this myself kind of payoff so yeah.
- 12:47Speaker 13: Oh that's how it goes exactly Well, I think that's
- 12:53Speaker 13: I mean, that's kind of the best thing to take
- 12:54Speaker 13: from that.
- 12:55Speaker 5: I think I ended up liking it a lot more
- 12:56Speaker 5: than I expected, but I think it's all due to
- 12:58Speaker 5: the direction. I think it's it's this Peter Collinson who
- 13:02Speaker 5: actually did a lot of other bigger. This was relatively
- 13:05Speaker 5: early on in it, but he ended up doing the
- 13:07Speaker 5: the original Italian job he did. And then there were none.
- 13:11Speaker 5: He did the spiral staircase. So he ended up doing
- 13:13Speaker 5: a lot of bigger projects. And I think, OK, what
- 13:15Speaker 5: happened here? Well, to me, from a direction standpoint, I
- 13:20Speaker 5: think it's awesome. I think the way he sets up
- 13:23Speaker 5: the shots in the beginning, the house looks really creepy.
- 13:26Speaker 4: The shots and everything are cool. The house is creepy.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Things look great.
- 13:30Speaker 4: It's just the characters are funny.
- 13:32Speaker 5: Fucking idiot which that's more the writing yeah i mean
- 13:35Speaker 5: that's yeah i mean.
- 13:36Speaker 12: Is the blood is the british police force really like
- 13:39Speaker 12: that is it do they not i mean i know
- 13:41Speaker 12: they they're not supposed to carry guns but i mean
- 13:43Speaker 12: this is like this is like mayberry i mean we
- 13:46Speaker 12: better get the gun.
- 13:47Speaker 5: They have one gun they've got one gun for the town.
- 13:51Speaker 12: And one guy that can use the gun but apparently
- 13:53Speaker 12: he's such a shitty ass fucking shot that he can't
- 13:56Speaker 12: hit this guy i've I can't get a clear shot.
- 14:00Speaker 4: This guy's head's in the middle of a fucking window.
- 14:02Speaker 4: How can you not shoot this guy?
- 14:04Speaker 5: And that's the other thing. He's hiding like 40 yards
- 14:07Speaker 5: away behind a car. And I'm like, okay, the guy
- 14:09Speaker 5: inside the house doesn't have a gun. He's not going
- 14:12Speaker 5: to shoot you. You could walk up to the window
- 14:14Speaker 5: and when he sticks his head up there, blow a
- 14:15Speaker 5: hole in his head.
- 14:16Speaker 4: But they're not smart enough to do that.
- 14:18Speaker 9: Point blank, dude.
- 14:19Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 9: See, this movie made me realize I would have zero
- 14:23Speaker 9: problem emptying a loaded gun into the face of someone
- 14:26Speaker 9: who fucking deserved it.
- 14:28Speaker 5: That's right.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Let me just trick him. Just be like, hey, your
- 14:32Speaker 4: pizza's here.
- 14:33Speaker 9: And he goes, what?
- 14:34Speaker 5: And then you're just like, I like it. I like pizza.
- 14:37Speaker 13: All right.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Because he's a fucking moron.
- 14:40Speaker 5: He's crazy.
- 14:40Speaker 4: He has no fucking clue.
- 14:42Speaker 12: Maybe in his fucking whacked out reality world, there's a
- 14:45Speaker 12: pizza delivery guy.
- 14:46Speaker 4: Hey, I am supposed to get a pizza. You know,
- 14:48Speaker 4: you can trick these people. They're easy to trick.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Do they like pizza? I mean, it's like your fish
- 14:52Speaker 5: and chips is here, governor.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 14:55Speaker 5: Come to the door. So, yeah.
- 14:59Speaker 4: Who ordered the shepherd's pie?
- 15:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 15:02Speaker 5: By the end of this, yeah, it definitely goes off
- 15:05Speaker 5: the rails. And I think really just sort of the last... Basically,
- 15:11Speaker 5: they could have had... I still think it could have
- 15:13Speaker 5: been a pretty decent, balanced movie had they wrapped it
- 15:16Speaker 5: up before the whole standoff. Yeah. I think if it
- 15:20Speaker 5: would have been like, you know, he would have... been
- 15:22Speaker 5: fighting with the boyfriend she ran out the door the
- 15:24Speaker 5: one cop with the gun shot him in the doorway
- 15:26Speaker 5: and that was the end of the movie would have
- 15:28Speaker 5: been great it would have been good i mean you
- 15:29Speaker 5: would have missed out on the i think the the
- 15:31Speaker 5: bit with the mirror is fucking creepy and that is
- 15:34Speaker 5: sort of the that's sort of the the key to
- 15:36Speaker 5: this that's all the advertising that's what brings you in
- 15:39Speaker 5: and that part is really creepy so they really just
- 15:42Speaker 5: should have worked that in earlier in the movie and
- 15:44Speaker 5: then had him just like threatening her and the and
- 15:46Speaker 5: the kid with it Midway into the movie and then
- 15:48Speaker 5: ended it there because the police standoff part is really
- 15:52Speaker 5: where it drags.
- 15:53Speaker 4: It drags on. It's aggravating. Yes. It's annoying.
- 15:57Speaker 12: You've got them bantering back and forth between them and
- 16:00Speaker 12: the psychiatrist who's like, ah, we don't want to, you know,
- 16:04Speaker 12: I want to try to save him. And then he's like,
- 16:06Speaker 12: I'm not going to be held responsible. And I'm just like,
- 16:08Speaker 12: and the police.
- 16:09Speaker 8: Some people don't need to be saved.
- 16:10Speaker 12: No.
- 16:10Speaker 13: Some people need to be killed.
- 16:12Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 13: Fuck him, sorry.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Fuck him. No, that's okay. It's completely understandable.
- 16:18Speaker 12: There was another point in this movie that's like, the guy,
- 16:21Speaker 12: the boyfriend, I don't feel bad about him getting bashed
- 16:24Speaker 12: in the face at all.
- 16:25Speaker 8: No.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Because he's kind of a jackass.
- 16:26Speaker 5: He's completely a jackass.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Yeah, you want to date rape. That's about all I
- 16:30Speaker 4: can say right there.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Shut up. Shut up.
- 16:32Speaker 12: She's telling him no, no. He's unbuttoning her shirt. She's
- 16:35Speaker 12: going no, and he's like, shut up. She's like, I
- 16:38Speaker 12: don't want to do it.
- 16:38Speaker 4: And he's like, shut up.
- 16:40Speaker 5: That's what the chicks like. They like a firm hand.
- 16:43Speaker 4: You know you wanted it.
- 16:45Speaker 8: That's how you got me.
- 16:47Speaker 4: I'm joking. I told you to shut up.
- 16:51Speaker 5: He tells you to shut up all the time. You
- 16:54Speaker 5: never listen.
- 16:54Speaker 4: You were telling me to shut up.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Yeah, that's how it works.
- 16:57Speaker 4: I was going, stop it.
- 16:59Speaker 8: Not on the first day.
- 17:00Speaker 10: You shut up.
- 17:02Speaker 8: I said, shut up.
- 17:03Speaker 5: You're going to fucking do it.
- 17:06Speaker 13: This is truth, guys.
- 17:08Speaker 8: It is.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Yeah, pretty much. She's like, drop them pants.
- 17:15Speaker 8: Drop them drawers.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Well, that's a good idea. Now we won't be disturbed.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Get out.
- 17:29Speaker 8: I haven't done anything.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Yet.
- 17:32Speaker 3: You're not going to either. Look, you can't stay a
- 17:36Speaker 3: virgin all your life, you know. How do you know?
- 17:41Speaker 3: I might not be one.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Ah, well, if you're not, you've got nothing to lose,
- 17:48Speaker 1: have you?
- 17:50Speaker 5: If you are, well, this is your big chance.
- 17:55Speaker 1: With you?
- 17:55Speaker 4: That's what I like about you.
- 18:00Speaker 3: You're always so hospitable.
- 18:03Speaker 8: This movie just goes to show that only homicidal psychopaths
- 18:07Speaker 8: wear fucking turtlenecks.
- 18:10Speaker 5: And those cool corduroys he had on.
- 18:14Speaker 8: Oh, my God. Boyfriend's purple corduroys.
- 18:17Speaker 5: They were cool.
- 18:20Speaker 4: He looks straight out of a Swedish skiing movie.
- 18:22Speaker 5: He kind of did. His little sweater. Even his bad hair.
- 18:26Speaker 4: His bad hair. His name was Sven.
- 18:30Speaker 5: This is not an advertisement for British people at all.
- 18:32Speaker 4: No, not really. I hate to tell you, but... No,
- 18:35Speaker 4: not at all. But I don't know. The guy who
- 18:38Speaker 4: played the crazy guy was... He was the right amount
- 18:41Speaker 4: of crazy.
- 18:42Speaker 5: I think he did it... Yeah, he did it in
- 18:44Speaker 5: a way that's... To quote Roger, who's not here, he
- 18:47Speaker 5: wasn't whoop-whoop crazy. The way that I think he was
- 18:50Speaker 5: pretty good was he plays it almost realistic. Like, it
- 18:54Speaker 5: is one of those that he just... He gets... and
- 18:57Speaker 5: he gets flustered, and he just repeats things, and he
- 19:00Speaker 5: does seem like a real-world crazy. It's not, you know,
- 19:04Speaker 5: over-the-top movie crazy. It's not like.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Sticking Jim Carrey in this role.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like this guy probably would exist and probably
- 19:10Speaker 5: would hurt you if you ran into him in the
- 19:12Speaker 5: real world because he is fucking delusional, and that's... I
- 19:15Speaker 5: don't know.
- 19:16Speaker 9: That's the one thing I liked about this movie, aside
- 19:18Speaker 9: from the fact that, like, I just... don't want to
- 19:21Speaker 9: believe that we live in a world where people are
- 19:22Speaker 9: too fucking stupid to just shoot someone in the face
- 19:25Speaker 9: if they can and there's a gun holding the gun
- 19:28Speaker 9: this guy obviously deserves to be shot in the face
- 19:31Speaker 9: clear shot do it i don't want to believe that
- 19:33Speaker 9: we live in that world but it was a very
- 19:35Speaker 9: realistic movie because this could all happen it's probably happened
- 19:38Speaker 9: a million times i've.
- 19:40Speaker 8: Got two handguns i would totally shoot somebody in the
- 19:42Speaker 8: face She would.
- 19:44Speaker 5: That's the thing. This movie has, with the exception of
- 19:47Speaker 5: the one cop gun, zero guns. So there's your problem.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Move to America and buy a lot of guns. They
- 19:53Speaker 5: run up to the door. There's three cops. They're like, well,
- 19:55Speaker 5: we can't handle this situation by ourselves. We can't do
- 19:57Speaker 5: this on our own.
- 19:58Speaker 4: There's three of you.
- 20:00Speaker 13: Free of you.
- 20:01Speaker 5: And he doesn't even have a gun fucking.
- 20:03Speaker 12: Guy and oh well we can't handle it let's wait
- 20:05Speaker 12: for backup and i'm like what are they gonna is
- 20:07Speaker 12: the real cop gonna show up now the one with
- 20:09Speaker 12: the gun the one with the gun yeah and then
- 20:11Speaker 12: the cool leather gloves oh yeah because he's got the mullet.
- 20:15Speaker 9: Also reason why i don't dig british men either your
- 20:19Speaker 9: teeth the teeth.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Yeah there were some scary teeth there i'll.
- 20:22Speaker 9: Give you that yeah man has to have straight teeth
- 20:25Speaker 9: but yeah the whole like.
- 20:27Speaker 5: Oh the fake husband's teeth were frightening well.
- 20:31Speaker 12: That was another thing too is they're trying to convince
- 20:34Speaker 12: the wife that she's just she's stressing over nothing that
- 20:38Speaker 12: there's no possible way he would escape there's no possible
- 20:41Speaker 12: way he would.
- 20:42Speaker 8: Come back this just goes to show that women are
- 20:44Speaker 8: just usually right yeah men are dumbasses that won't listen.
- 20:48Speaker 12: She was like, I got a telephone call. And the
- 20:50Speaker 12: guy was like, well, it could have been anybody. And
- 20:51Speaker 12: she's like, but it sounded like a young girl's voice. Well,
- 20:53Speaker 12: it could have been a secretary asking for me. But
- 20:56Speaker 12: she asked for my specific name.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Shut up.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Shut up.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Shut up.
- 21:02Speaker 12: Let me go call the mental institution and we'll put
- 21:05Speaker 12: this to rest and you can relax.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Whoops, he really did escape. Whoops, he did escape.
- 21:11Speaker 12: And after they find out he escaped, they're like, oh, well,
- 21:13Speaker 12: he's probably hundreds of miles from here.
- 21:15Speaker 4: He never would have Or.
- 21:17Speaker 5: At his own house.
- 21:18Speaker 9: Why would he possibly go back to the house where
- 21:22Speaker 9: his wife and child live?
- 21:25Speaker 5: And the woman who put him away lives.
- 21:26Speaker 8: Yeah, the woman that put him away lives.
- 21:28Speaker 13: Why would he possibly do that?
- 21:29Speaker 5: That's absurd.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Yeah, because he only tried to kill her the first time.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Why wouldn't you move?
- 21:33Speaker 5: I know.
- 21:33Speaker 14: That's what I'm saying.
- 21:34Speaker 13: Fucking move out.
- 21:35Speaker 9: I mean, wouldn't it be traumatic to live in that
- 21:37Speaker 9: house anyway?
- 21:38Speaker 12: It's about as dumb as the family of Michael Myers
- 21:40Speaker 12: going back to live at the Michael Myers house.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Gee, a lot of people got murdered here, but we're
- 21:44Speaker 4: going to live here. We're going to make it our home.
- 21:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Fuck a bunch of that.
- 21:47Speaker 12: Oh, my God.
- 21:47Speaker 4: What's he doing?
- 21:48Speaker 5: He's come back.
- 21:49Speaker 9: After my dog died when I was little in the backyard,
- 21:52Speaker 9: in this little pen that we had beside his house,
- 21:54Speaker 9: I couldn't even go there. I can't imagine living in
- 21:56Speaker 9: a fucking house where someone tried to kill you or
- 21:59Speaker 9: a shitload of people were murdered fuck a bunch of
- 22:02Speaker 9: that how retarded are.
- 22:03Speaker 5: People very well speaking of the michael myers uh let's
- 22:07Speaker 5: talk about the the sort of influence that i guess
- 22:10Speaker 5: this had because if somebody out there has a different
- 22:13Speaker 5: version feel free to point it out but as far
- 22:15Speaker 5: as i know this is the first babysitter crazy guy
- 22:19Speaker 5: breaking into a house i mean this this is sort
- 22:22Speaker 5: of the one it sort of builds that so unless
- 22:24Speaker 5: somebody knows of another one this is uh 1971 so
- 22:27Speaker 5: this is seven years before halloween And Halloween is kind
- 22:31Speaker 5: of known as the template for all other slasher horror movies.
- 22:35Speaker 5: So this is way ahead.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Of its time.
- 22:38Speaker 12: Well, I think the problem was it was British, so
- 22:40Speaker 12: it didn't really show up in the American screen.
- 22:41Speaker 5: Pretty much. But I mean, I will give it credit
- 22:44Speaker 5: for having this idea because it's not like it's just
- 22:48Speaker 5: minorly hinted at it is the exact like blueprint of every,
- 22:53Speaker 5: you know, he's, he knows you're alone. I mean, every
- 22:56Speaker 5: one of those babysitter in a house gets the cord,
- 22:58Speaker 5: gets yanked out, she wanders around in the dark house.
- 23:03Speaker 5: The kid comes out and scares her. I mean, there's
- 23:05Speaker 5: every little cliche, the boyfriend gets killed. Every one of
- 23:09Speaker 5: these little cliche things that have now become like standard
- 23:12Speaker 5: in a horror movie. Are in this movie, and as
- 23:15Speaker 5: far as I know, this was the beginning of it all, really.
- 23:19Speaker 5: So it at least has to be given credit for
- 23:22Speaker 5: sort of starting an entire trend of movies.
- 23:25Speaker 4: He even has the big... Piece of shattered mirror that
- 23:28Speaker 4: looks like a large butcher knife.
- 23:29Speaker 5: Mm-hmm. So this is the pre-slash of it.
- 23:33Speaker 12: Every time I shatter a mirror, I never can get
- 23:35Speaker 12: that butcher knife shape to come out.
- 23:36Speaker 4: It's always little pieces.
- 23:38Speaker 5: Hollywood.
- 23:38Speaker 8: You've broken enough mirrors.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I know.
- 23:40Speaker 3: God.
- 23:41Speaker 5: You need the magic of British cinema. I know.
- 23:43Speaker 4: It's something.
- 23:46Speaker 9: This should be a lesson to all young girls.
- 23:48Speaker 13: Don't ever babysit.
- 23:50Speaker 5: It kind of is.
- 23:50Speaker 4: If you do, just carry a gun. Yeah.
- 23:53Speaker 5: But yeah, I don't know. It is impressive, I guess,
- 23:56Speaker 5: that this is sort of where it all began from.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Because I will still give credit to Black Christmas, almost,
- 24:03Speaker 5: for being more of an inspiration for a lot of
- 24:04Speaker 5: the specifics in Halloween. But I don't know. To me,
- 24:08Speaker 5: this is, yeah, for as many years ahead of time
- 24:10Speaker 5: as this is, it is funny how blueprint it is
- 24:13Speaker 5: set up for every baby slasher movie that came after that.
- 24:17Speaker 12: It's a bit harder to make this film nowadays because
- 24:19Speaker 12: now kids have cell phones so yep what's he gonna
- 24:22Speaker 12: do i mean he's gonna have to somehow find a
- 24:24Speaker 12: way to scramble the network or some shit like that
- 24:26Speaker 12: there's always a way around that let's blanket over the
- 24:29Speaker 12: house i can't get a signal she's running around trying
- 24:32Speaker 12: to get a signal it's out in.
- 24:33Speaker 8: The country you know you don't signal in the country.
- 24:36Speaker 5: Oh yeah i guess i guess mandy found a way
- 24:38Speaker 5: around that yeah mandy's awesome So it's still, I mean,
- 24:42Speaker 5: there's always ways around the cell phone. There's always no
- 24:45Speaker 5: signal no matter what.
- 24:46Speaker 9: And they always die at convenient times.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Yeah, of course.
- 24:51Speaker 6: You can make horror film in here. Stop trying to
- 24:54Speaker 6: frighten me.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Yes, you are, peering through that window.
- 25:00Speaker 4: What window?
- 25:02Speaker 8: What are you talking about?
- 25:03Speaker 13: That one.
- 25:04Speaker 3: You scared the life out of me and you.
- 25:05Speaker 9: Did it deliberately.
- 25:06Speaker 10: I didn't.
- 25:09Speaker 8: I came straight out to the door.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Must have been someone else.
- 25:14Speaker 15: Stop it!
- 25:16Speaker 8: Well, if it wasn't anybody else, it must be your imagination.
- 25:19Speaker 3: I don't imagine things.
- 25:22Speaker 16: Typical.
- 25:23Speaker 6: This is typical of you, trying to frighten people all
- 25:26Speaker 6: the time. You ought to see a psychiatrist.
- 25:29Speaker 3: But you're the one who's seeing things.
- 25:31Speaker 6: You live in a world of fantasy. I was reading
- 25:34Speaker 6: about people like you. They say it's a result of
- 25:36Speaker 6: sexual frustration.
- 25:40Speaker 5: Here.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Well, that's not my fault either.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Well, you needn't think I'm going to cure you.
- 25:47Speaker 5: I don't know. I think, again, I think that the
- 25:49Speaker 5: director is kind of the star of this. I mean,
- 25:51Speaker 5: I think that the actors are all right, the ones
- 25:54Speaker 5: that aren't really, really annoying. The characters are not good,
- 25:57Speaker 5: but the acting's tolerable. The characters are badly written.
- 26:00Speaker 12: Yeah, I don't think I can think of a single
- 26:02Speaker 12: character that's not annoying with the exception of the killer,
- 26:05Speaker 12: or the crazy guy.
- 26:06Speaker 4: He's the only one that doesn't annoy the crap out
- 26:08Speaker 4: of him.
- 26:09Speaker 5: Yeah, and he's just fucking crazy.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Because he's playing his role.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:13Speaker 4: He's the killer.
- 26:14Speaker 5: Everybody else is kind of ridiculous.
- 26:15Speaker 4: He's fucking crazy.
- 26:17Speaker 8: I liked the scene where he was with the other girl,
- 26:20Speaker 8: but he kept imagining, he kept flashing that it was
- 26:22Speaker 8: his wife. I thought that part was actually kind of
- 26:24Speaker 8: well shot. That's one thing I was actually impressed about.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Which scene, the bed scene?
- 26:27Speaker 13: Yeah, that whole scene when he was dancing with her.
- 26:30Speaker 8: You'd see the girl crying, but then it flashed. He'd
- 26:32Speaker 8: be imagining it's his wife, and she's laughing and having
- 26:35Speaker 8: a good time.
- 26:35Speaker 13: But that whole scene was.
- 26:36Speaker 12: But yeah, like you said, that was a great, that
- 26:39Speaker 12: was a well shot scene that just kind of delves
- 26:41Speaker 12: into the craziness of this fucking guy that's.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Like, he's still obsessed with his wife.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Completely.
- 26:48Speaker 4: To the point where he sees the babysitter as her.
- 26:51Speaker 5: But yeah, that was well shot. And that's what I
- 26:54Speaker 5: think you take from that's the reason to watch this
- 26:56Speaker 5: for me is just direction and the way that it
- 26:58Speaker 5: looks because I think that even the opening like that
- 27:01Speaker 5: creepy song, which we were all creeped out by that song.
- 27:05Speaker 5: maybe for different reasons. To me, it's just, it's, uh,
- 27:08Speaker 5: it's the same as the closing one. It's that weird
- 27:10Speaker 5: caterwalling woman.
- 27:12Speaker 4: That was just really just out of place.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Well, to me, it reminds me of, uh, the later
- 27:17Speaker 5: Marianne faithful stuff where she has that weird, scary voice
- 27:21Speaker 5: that it, but to me it fits. It's like, it's,
- 27:23Speaker 5: it's out of place, but at the same time, it's,
- 27:25Speaker 5: it's creepy, like not good creepy. It's just, it, it's
- 27:29Speaker 5: creepy in a weird way that, much like Marianne Faith.
- 27:33Speaker 12: I guess just towards the end, I was so annoyed
- 27:35Speaker 12: that it came up and I was like, what the.
- 27:37Speaker 5: Fuck is this shit? I thought that at the beginning,
- 27:40Speaker 5: I was just like, what is this song? But as
- 27:42Speaker 5: it goes on, I mean, it's this weird shots of
- 27:44Speaker 5: her like walking to the house. So it's all these
- 27:47Speaker 5: shots of her out in the woods. And again, that,
- 27:49Speaker 5: that in itself right off the bat is really creepy.
- 27:51Speaker 5: And then you get to the house and I think
- 27:53Speaker 5: the visuals on the house are amazing. I think it's
- 27:55Speaker 5: shot with this very claustrophobic feel. It focuses heavy on
- 27:59Speaker 5: all the set dressing. So it's like you, He really...
- 28:02Speaker 5: This is one of the few times I've noticed a
- 28:04Speaker 5: director really making use of the set dressing. He would
- 28:07Speaker 5: shoot through the furniture.
- 28:09Speaker 4: He would shoot.
- 28:10Speaker 5: With stuff sitting on the table in the foreground of
- 28:13Speaker 5: the shot. Through the window, through.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Weeds, through the trees. Stuff like that.
- 28:19Speaker 5: It's all very purposely set up to be where it
- 28:22Speaker 5: is and to fit the character in where it is.
- 28:23Speaker 5: So again, I think what he does direction-wise is really
- 28:27Speaker 5: impressive on this. Enough that it makes me want to
- 28:29Speaker 5: go through and watch some of his other stuff.
- 28:31Speaker 4: Because I think.
- 28:32Speaker 5: Visually, I think he did a great job on this.
- 28:34Speaker 5: It's just the other.
- 28:35Speaker 12: It's just the characters are stupid.
- 28:37Speaker 4: They're idiots and they wouldn't survive in the real world.
- 28:40Speaker 12: The chick could have ran out the fucking back kitchen
- 28:43Speaker 12: door a hundred times and could have gotten away, but no.
- 28:45Speaker 4: She's too stupid. She's going to cower in the corner.
- 28:48Speaker 8: He took all the doorknobs off.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Oh, did he take all the doorknobs off?
- 28:52Speaker 8: I thought he took all the doorknobs off because he
- 28:53Speaker 8: kept saying no knobs or something because she was locked
- 28:56Speaker 8: in like he was locked in the crazy house.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Wasn't he?
- 28:59Speaker 5: See, I don't know if he did. I know he
- 29:02Speaker 5: was rambling about that. I didn't know if that was
- 29:03Speaker 5: just from him being in the crazy house because he
- 29:07Speaker 5: doesn't have any doorknobs.
- 29:09Speaker 8: Maybe she couldn't get out.
- 29:11Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 29:12Speaker 12: The doors that she was stumbling around trying to open
- 29:14Speaker 12: wasn't the kitchen door. The door to the kitchen was
- 29:17Speaker 12: in the living room. Where the boyfriend was laying all
- 29:21Speaker 12: bloody in the corner.
- 29:22Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 29:23Speaker 4: So, either way.
- 29:25Speaker 5: I mean, there's just very specific shots. There's the one
- 29:28Speaker 5: he keeps going to of the pendulum clock. Yeah. It really,
- 29:32Speaker 5: really looks good. And then there's the one of her
- 29:35Speaker 5: going down the hallway in the close-up of his face
- 29:38Speaker 5: on that corner shot. that's fucking awesome so i mean
- 29:40Speaker 5: there's just so many of those that i think make
- 29:44Speaker 5: up for you know some of these shortcomings at least
- 29:46Speaker 5: enough to watch the movie it doesn't save it i
- 29:49Speaker 5: guess overall but I.
- 29:50Speaker 8: Was pissed off when she ran out the door and
- 29:52Speaker 8: she just stopped long enough for him to grab her
- 29:54Speaker 8: and pull her back in. I'm like, bitch, keep running.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Just stop. Well, if we want to talk about the
- 29:59Speaker 5: problems at the door, okay, so within the mother, they
- 30:02Speaker 5: finally get this trade-off going. And they're like, okay, you
- 30:05Speaker 5: bring my wife in, I'll let these two go. I'll
- 30:07Speaker 5: let the kid go and the babysitter.
- 30:08Speaker 8: So.
- 30:09Speaker 5: She comes up to the door, and I'm like, have
- 30:10Speaker 5: you never been involved in a hostage negotiation? Maybe not.
- 30:13Speaker 5: Have you never seen one on TV? Jesus. You don't
- 30:15Speaker 5: go in until you get what you want out. It's like,
- 30:18Speaker 5: it's at the same time. It's a trade-off.
- 30:20Speaker 4: It's not, I just blindly walk in.
- 30:22Speaker 8: The other dumb bitch realized. She's like, well, now we're
- 30:24Speaker 8: all fucked.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, even the babysitter was smarter than that.
- 30:27Speaker 5: She was like, no, dumbass. So, yeah, mom walks right in.
- 30:31Speaker 5: He closes the door and locks it.
- 30:33Speaker 12: And what do they give her as a weapon? They
- 30:35Speaker 12: give her a fucking tear gas canister. Now, how fucking
- 30:37Speaker 12: retarded is that?
- 30:39Speaker 4: Tear gas. Okay, I'll pull the pin and drop it
- 30:41Speaker 4: while the guy slashes my throat.
- 30:44Speaker 5: And the kid's down on the floor.
- 30:45Speaker 8: She even managed to fuck that one up.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Yeah, she fucked that one up too because she's an idiot. Oh, jeez.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Can I talk about the very end of the film?
- 30:55Speaker 13: Are you asking my personal permission?
- 30:57Speaker 4: I'm asking everybody's permission.
- 30:58Speaker 5: Is it cool? If you're ready to... Oh, I'm ready
- 31:00Speaker 5: to address the end of the film. I mean, we're
- 31:02Speaker 5: right there at that point anyway.
- 31:03Speaker 12: Because at the end of the film, I mean, you're
- 31:05Speaker 12: at the end of the film where they're arguing and
- 31:07Speaker 12: they finally do.
- 31:09Speaker 4: The guy gets upset and, you know, you're trying to
- 31:12Speaker 4: use this canister. He doesn't even know what it is.
- 31:14Speaker 12: He's like, you're trying to use this to hurt me.
- 31:15Speaker 12: And he's going nuts. And then he's like, they can
- 31:18Speaker 12: take it back. And he throws it. And, of course,
- 31:19Speaker 12: it goes off.
- 31:20Speaker 4: And they're all like, ah.
- 31:21Speaker 12: And, of course, the babysitter is the one who has
- 31:24Speaker 12: to go and open the door to get out. So
- 31:26Speaker 12: she gets out, and the crazy guy and the wife
- 31:30Speaker 12: come out, and the crazy guy comes out with the kid,
- 31:33Speaker 12: and the cop's like, I can't take a shot.
- 31:35Speaker 4: I might hit the kid. And I'm like going, what
- 31:37Speaker 4: the fuck?
- 31:37Speaker 5: How can you?
- 31:38Speaker 12: You're like, what, 10 feet from the guy, and you
- 31:40Speaker 12: might hit the kid? You can't shoot this guy in
- 31:42Speaker 12: the shoulder? You can't shoot him in the head? You know,
- 31:45Speaker 12: I mean, how shitty of a marksman.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Are these guys? They can't even fucking shoot somebody at that,
- 31:49Speaker 4: you know, closer range.
- 31:51Speaker 5: His mullet was holding him back.
- 31:52Speaker 4: I guess. You know what?
- 31:53Speaker 12: I wouldn't have questioned it. He's like looking at the
- 31:55Speaker 12: captain going, can I shoot him? You know, white question.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Just shoot the guy.
- 31:58Speaker 8: I would have fucking shot him in the eyeball.
- 32:00Speaker 5: He'd be dead already if anybody with any competency was
- 32:03Speaker 5: holding that gun.
- 32:04Speaker 4: I guess, you know, and.
- 32:07Speaker 12: Apparently all the cops over there get is just like
- 32:09Speaker 12: one revolver.
- 32:10Speaker 4: That's it. They don't have a rifle. They don't have nothing.
- 32:14Speaker 5: That's what I was thinking. I was like, for these standoffs,
- 32:17Speaker 5: shouldn't they have like a sniper rifle or something?
- 32:19Speaker 4: No, they've got nothing. They don't even have a hunting rifle.
- 32:22Speaker 5: They don't have a shotgun.
- 32:23Speaker 4: He's got one revolver.
- 32:25Speaker 5: You know and gloves and gloves he's got his shooting
- 32:28Speaker 5: gloves but then the thing that gets me is like
- 32:29Speaker 5: well no we might hit the kid so it's too
- 32:32Speaker 5: close so what does the guy do with the gun
- 32:33Speaker 5: he puts it back in the car yeah what the
- 32:35Speaker 5: fuck was that.
- 32:36Speaker 4: He was like well I guess I can't use the
- 32:37Speaker 4: gun so I'll just put it back in the.
- 32:38Speaker 5: Car what kind of cop are you what the fuck
- 32:41Speaker 5: you know keep.
- 32:43Speaker 12: The guy in your sights But, yeah, towards the very end,
- 32:47Speaker 12: you're thinking there's not going to be a payoff because
- 32:49Speaker 12: they're not going to shoot this guy.
- 32:50Speaker 4: We're all sitting there on the couch yelling, shoot him,
- 32:53Speaker 4: fucking shoot him.
- 32:54Speaker 12: The lady even gets the kid from him, and they're
- 32:56Speaker 12: backing away, and he's standing there with that big piece
- 32:58Speaker 12: of broken mirror, and he's like going, he's calling her name,
- 33:02Speaker 12: and he's, uh, uh.
- 33:03Speaker 4: And you're like, shoot him, shoot him, shoot him. And,
- 33:05Speaker 4: of course, the cops don't shoot him. Who shoots him?
- 33:08Speaker 13: Fucking crazy-ass babysitter.
- 33:09Speaker 4: The babysitter shoots him.
- 33:11Speaker 12: And then she cries like a little whiny bitch.
- 33:13Speaker 8: I'm so sorry.
- 33:15Speaker 9: That's the point where I decided that I have no
- 33:18Speaker 9: problem shooting someone if they deserve it.
- 33:20Speaker 8: I would fucking apologize.
- 33:21Speaker 9: I'd be like, I would have kicked him and been like,
- 33:24Speaker 9: in your face, motherfucker.
- 33:26Speaker 13: I'd have shot him five more times.
- 33:27Speaker 5: You got owned, bitch.
- 33:31Speaker 4: But they don't do that. And the cops are kind
- 33:32Speaker 4: of looking at each other going, damn, she shot him.
- 33:35Speaker 5: Finally, one of us got it together. But they didn't, like,
- 33:37Speaker 5: it came out of nowhere. Like, they didn't show her
- 33:39Speaker 5: leaving the house. They didn't show her, like, going over
- 33:41Speaker 5: by the car. So at the beginning, like, the first
- 33:44Speaker 5: time I watched it, I was like.
- 33:45Speaker 8: They showed her leaving the house.
- 33:46Speaker 4: She was out of the house.
- 33:47Speaker 14: She ran out.
- 33:47Speaker 5: She was the first one.
- 33:48Speaker 4: She just ran out. She fucking hauled ass out of
- 33:49Speaker 4: the house because she was.
- 33:50Speaker 5: they don't give you any idea that she's going for something.
- 33:53Speaker 5: She's got some sort of plan. She just, it's like
- 33:55Speaker 5: out of the blue, it just happens, which I guess
- 33:57Speaker 5: is what they were going for. They're going for that
- 33:59Speaker 5: shock ending.
- 33:59Speaker 4: But at the.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Same time for a second, I'm just like, wait, the
- 34:02Speaker 5: fuck did she get that gun like they didn't show
- 34:04Speaker 5: her going to the cop.
- 34:05Speaker 12: Car or she didn't have to i put it back
- 34:08Speaker 12: in the car she grabbed it off the front seat
- 34:10Speaker 12: and capped the guy i.
- 34:10Speaker 5: Was like there's only one guns i guess we know
- 34:12Speaker 5: where it came from but i was like when did
- 34:14Speaker 5: she get to that it's very sort of un yeah
- 34:17Speaker 5: it does it's just sort of jarring because you don't
- 34:20Speaker 5: know well yeah where she even came from yeah.
- 34:22Speaker 12: Expecting the cop to shoot him and even at that
- 34:25Speaker 12: point you're you're kind of you're kind of expecting nothing.
- 34:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 4: You know, because at that point I was like, well, fuck,
- 34:32Speaker 4: they're not going to shoot him. Because she backed away
- 34:34Speaker 4: from him.
- 34:35Speaker 5: And he drops to his knees. It's like he's given up.
- 34:37Speaker 12: And it's a good five minutes, you know, and you're like, well, fuck,
- 34:39Speaker 12: this guy's going to get taken back to the mental
- 34:41Speaker 12: institution and nothing's going to happen.
- 34:43Speaker 4: He's going to break out.
- 34:44Speaker 5: Fright two.
- 34:45Speaker 12: And then there's going to be a fright two, you know,
- 34:48Speaker 12: where he goes after the babysitter and after the wife.
- 34:51Speaker 5: And then he finds out she's his sister. Oh, wait, no,
- 34:53Speaker 5: it's a whole different movie. So.
- 34:57Speaker 4: But yeah, boom, right in the head.
- 34:59Speaker 5: And I think that's what it was. I think they
- 35:02Speaker 5: were just going for that surprise ending, because I've talked
- 35:05Speaker 5: about this the last few of this era. I think
- 35:07Speaker 5: every movie at this late 60s into the early 70s
- 35:10Speaker 5: time period, it's like, it's a horror movie. We've got
- 35:12Speaker 5: to have some sort of shock ending. It wasn't the
- 35:14Speaker 5: twist ending that we had to have come 90s. It
- 35:17Speaker 5: was like the 70s just had to be something special.
- 35:19Speaker 14: Weird.
- 35:19Speaker 5: Something abrupt that you're not expecting, and then credits. It's
- 35:22Speaker 5: like they love doing that, and that's like two of
- 35:25Speaker 5: the British ones in a row we've seen her like that.
- 35:27Speaker 5: So definitely it was like a trend in horror movies,
- 35:30Speaker 5: and certainly in British horror movies, that, all right, what
- 35:32Speaker 5: fucked up way are we going to end this movie?
- 35:34Speaker 5: And then just, bam, she just shows up and shoots.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Him out of the blue. And there's the credits.
- 35:38Speaker 5: Credits, yeah. So more of the crazy caterwauling.
- 35:42Speaker 4: And the credits actually ran faster than the pace of
- 35:45Speaker 4: most of the movie.
- 35:45Speaker 5: Yeah, kind of. Oh man. But it, I don't know.
- 35:48Speaker 5: It does what it sets out to do. I think
- 35:51Speaker 5: in most of it, it's like it sets up the
- 35:53Speaker 5: creepy scenario that, uh, again, his camera work that shot
- 35:56Speaker 5: on the landing is amazing. Like when they're getting ready
- 35:58Speaker 5: to leave for the whole little night out and she's
- 36:00Speaker 5: telling him goodbye, he's like shooting it all from the stairs.
- 36:03Speaker 5: Like he's looking down on him. Like he's, you know,
- 36:05Speaker 5: the kid looking down, like, like watching them as they leave.
- 36:09Speaker 5: It's really well done. And same thing with that. Like
- 36:11Speaker 5: when the boyfriend gets it out in the yard, uh, When, like,
- 36:14Speaker 5: the camera just sort of steps out from hiding.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 5: And I guess you're POV at that point, but it's
- 36:19Speaker 5: just sort of unnerving. Again, it's like he's looking at it.
- 36:21Speaker 5: He's like, holy shit. Like, the character is looking at
- 36:24Speaker 5: you as the camera.
- 36:25Speaker 4: It's like, oh, fuck.
- 36:27Speaker 5: And it just moves in.
- 36:28Speaker 4: It's too stupid to realize what's going on. Well, at
- 36:30Speaker 4: that point, you're like... you're kind of wondering why is
- 36:33Speaker 4: this guy not doing anything he's a fucking moron but then.
- 36:36Speaker 12: You realize it's the the uh the ex-husband yeah he's
- 36:39Speaker 12: a psycho but when you kind of.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Look at him he kind of looks like just a
- 36:42Speaker 4: normal average guy.
- 36:43Speaker 5: Which is how he gets into the house too which
- 36:45Speaker 5: is which is probably why he got to the boyfriend
- 36:47Speaker 5: because the boyfriend's kind of like just what are you
- 36:49Speaker 5: doing here buddy yeah because.
- 36:51Speaker 12: He doesn't look threatening he looks kind of like uh
- 36:54Speaker 12: what's his name on the rockford files James Garner.
- 36:56Speaker 4: He kind of has this James Garner look about him.
- 36:59Speaker 13: He looks like a douchebag wearing a turtleneck.
- 37:01Speaker 5: Well, but the escape, for an escape mental patient, he's
- 37:05Speaker 5: dressed nicely too.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Yeah, he doesn't look like a complete psycho.
- 37:09Speaker 5: So that's how he worms his way into the house.
- 37:12Speaker 4: He doesn't explode when sunlight hits him.
- 37:14Speaker 13: I assume the worst from everybody.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Yeah. No, I wouldn't either. But I guess that's why.
- 37:20Speaker 5: But I just, that shot again, that's another one of
- 37:22Speaker 5: those that the camera work is amazing because I'm just
- 37:24Speaker 5: sitting there going, okay this is a fucking creepy shot
- 37:27Speaker 5: and you don't even know what it is when you
- 37:28Speaker 5: get into it and then by the end you're like
- 37:30Speaker 5: holy shit i guess this is the killer and we're
- 37:31Speaker 5: looking through his eyes and because.
- 37:33Speaker 12: You're the cat and i'm going god what kind of
- 37:35Speaker 12: fucking cat is this five foot cat no you hear
- 37:39Speaker 12: it you're like that.
- 37:41Speaker 5: And then it's moving on the cat i don't know
- 37:44Speaker 5: he's a vicious killer he'll step on cats step on
- 37:47Speaker 5: the kitty But, yeah, it also does what it's supposed
- 37:51Speaker 5: to do in the suggestiveness of it. We don't get
- 37:54Speaker 5: any nudity, but there's a hell of a lot of
- 37:56Speaker 5: suggestion with her top there.
- 37:58Speaker 4: Yeah, there is.
- 37:59Speaker 5: She spends about half the movie with her top open.
- 38:01Speaker 8: Checking on the kids?
- 38:02Speaker 5: Yeah, she doesn't care.
- 38:04Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 38:04Speaker 5: So, I mean, it definitely plays all the cards it
- 38:06Speaker 5: needed to and could get away with in 1971. It's...
- 38:10Speaker 5: violent when it can be i guess i mean that
- 38:12Speaker 5: towards the end again you go through most of it
- 38:15Speaker 5: with no violence but when you get to that last
- 38:16Speaker 5: scene and like they're fighting on top of this bloody
- 38:19Speaker 5: guy and then she's getting she's slashing his face and
- 38:22Speaker 5: that part there probably for the time was sort of
- 38:25Speaker 5: you know gratuitous violence and i'm sure somebody was up
- 38:27Speaker 5: in arms about that but probably Again, for the time.
- 38:30Speaker 5: I think, again, that shot's pretty fucking awesome. So everything
- 38:34Speaker 5: visually is amazing, but, yeah, story leaves a lot to
- 38:37Speaker 5: be desired.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Just a load of gossip. I don't believe a word.
- 38:39Speaker 5: No, it's true.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Mrs.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Lloyd's real husband's in a nut house.
- 38:44Speaker 8: He's a nutter.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Stop it.
- 38:47Speaker 7: That's right.
- 38:47Speaker 3: He tried to murder her.
- 38:49Speaker 1: That's why they put him away.
- 38:50Speaker 5: William, stop it! Hey.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Are you all right?
- 38:57Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 38:58Speaker 3: I didn't mean to frighten you.
- 39:03Speaker 8: Oh, Chris.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Oh, Chris, say you were lying.
- 39:05Speaker 13: You were making it all up, weren't you, to front me?
- 39:07Speaker 9: Chris, weren't you?
- 39:09Speaker 8: Yeah, all right.
- 39:12Speaker 9: And it was you at that window, wasn't it?
- 39:15Speaker 13: Wasn't it?
- 39:15Speaker 5: It's okay.
- 39:20Speaker 1: It's all right.
- 39:21Speaker 5: But if nothing else, get down, white people. You get
- 39:25Speaker 5: some awesome dancing.
- 39:28Speaker 4: You get some fucking.
- 39:30Speaker 12: organ playing, early 70s kind of jive dancing, fucking what
- 39:37Speaker 12: the fuck is going on here type music.
- 39:39Speaker 5: I believe, yeah, you stated the obvious. The only thing
- 39:41Speaker 5: worse than white people dancing is British white people.
- 39:43Speaker 4: The only thing worse than old people dancing was old
- 39:45Speaker 4: British people dancing.
- 39:47Speaker 5: They're British, they're white, they're old. It is scary.
- 39:50Speaker 4: It is on.
- 39:51Speaker 5: Lotta, lotta. Yeah, there's some snapping and arms are flailing
- 39:56Speaker 5: and legs are flopping. Thumbs and kicking. Yeah, it's one
- 40:00Speaker 5: step from thumbs and kicking.
- 40:01Speaker 4: I was like, wow, where's this nightclub?
- 40:04Speaker 5: Because I would rule.
- 40:06Speaker 4: That's right.
- 40:07Speaker 5: You would show those old ladies up. Hell yeah. And
- 40:10Speaker 5: they'd be like, drop them, Joe. Yeah.
- 40:14Speaker 4: I'd be like, the panty dropper's in town.
- 40:16Speaker 5: You'd be like, all right. She told me to shut up.
- 40:20Speaker 5: I guess I won't do it.
- 40:20Speaker 16: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Oh, Lord.
- 40:25Speaker 5: So, yeah, I think that sort of sums it all up,
- 40:29Speaker 5: I'd say. It's visually impressive, I'd say. But, yeah, story issues,
- 40:33Speaker 5: character development issues, annoyance issues, pacing issues.
- 40:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 40:39Speaker 4: It's things they all try to clear up as time
- 40:42Speaker 4: goes on.
- 40:43Speaker 5: Not with this movie, but with other movies. Yeah, groundbreaking
- 40:46Speaker 5: for what it is. I think it is impressive. And
- 40:48Speaker 5: if you're a horror fan or a slasher fan, it's
- 40:51Speaker 5: almost worth going back to look at it just because
- 40:53Speaker 5: you can't really watch the things that came from it
- 40:56Speaker 5: without watching some of the older stuff. This is definitely
- 40:59Speaker 5: the kickoff for that type of movie. Again, I think
- 41:03Speaker 5: visuals are freaking impressive. That's about it for it. Alright,
- 41:09Speaker 5: I guess that will wrap up the old theater here.
- 41:11Speaker 5: We will take a break and be back with the
- 41:14Speaker 5: rest of the show.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Yeah, you know what it's like now, huh?
- 41:17Speaker 4: Always locked doors.
- 41:19Speaker 8: No handles.
- 41:20Speaker 1: No handles.
- 41:28Speaker 6: Don't know what it's like.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Frightened, huh?
- 41:31Speaker 9: I told you, lock doors.
- 41:33Speaker 8: I could always lock doors. Why do you send me
- 41:36Speaker 8: to lock doors? Lock doors!
- 41:38Speaker 16: You sent me there!
- 41:39Speaker 9: Let me go!
- 41:40Speaker 6: Shoot him now!
- 41:43Speaker 4: Shoot him now!
- 42:01Speaker 7: I don't think crazy for the darkness We all we
- 42:09Speaker 7: need tonight That's.
- 42:11Speaker 6: How a rocket rolls Let's fly it.
- 42:24Speaker 7: Popcorn freshly popped and buttered.
- 42:27Speaker 8: Look good?
- 42:28Speaker 7: Sure, it looks good and it tastes even better.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Get some now.
- 42:34Speaker 7: Jill Johnson is babysitting the children of a young doctor
- 42:37Speaker 7: and his wife. They've told her where they'll be when
- 42:41Speaker 7: they'll be home. Everything she has to know. Except what
- 42:46Speaker 7: to do when a stranger calls.
- 42:50Speaker 9: Hello?
- 42:51Speaker 17: Why hasn't.
- 42:55Speaker 6: Who is this?
- 42:55Speaker 8: What do you want?
- 42:59Speaker 5: Your blood.
- 43:00Speaker 7: When a stranger calls... Leave me alone!
- 43:05Speaker 4: Jill, this is Sergeant Sacker. We've traced the call. It's
- 43:08Speaker 4: coming from inside the house. You should get out of
- 43:11Speaker 4: that house.
- 43:12Speaker 7: When a stranger calls... Every babysitter's nightmare becomes real. From
- 43:19Speaker 7: Columbia Pictures.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Rated R.
- 43:21Speaker 7: Under 17. Not admitted without parent.
- 43:24Speaker 11: Yo, are you looking for a podcast that breaks movies
- 43:28Speaker 11: down like you couldn't believe? I mean, takes them apart
- 43:31Speaker 11: piece by piece and analyzes every little thing, getting you
- 43:36Speaker 11: the most out of every movie that you ever could. Well,
- 43:39Speaker 11: look no further than The Gentleman's Guide to Midnight Cinema
- 43:43Speaker 11: with Samurai and Big Willie. These fuckers know how to
- 43:47Speaker 11: review movies, or my name ain't the head.
- 43:52Speaker 5: You can find the gentleman at ggtmc.com.
- 43:55Speaker 8: I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
- 43:57Speaker 4: What's part of your problem?
- 44:00Speaker 5: You know, you haven't seen enough movies.
- 44:03Speaker 4: All of life's riddles are answered in the movies. And now,
- 44:08Speaker 4: on with the show. Thank you. You want to know
- 44:35Speaker 4: the pattern that has gripped your life Your heart starts pounding.
- 44:42Speaker 6: While you're breathing real bright A face chopped white that.
- 44:47Speaker 4: Stuns the sight.
- 45:01Speaker 5: Alright, we are back and we've got feedback.
- 45:13Speaker 8: Yay, feedback.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Somebody called?
- 45:15Speaker 5: Um... Well, there were these two weirdos in the early
- 45:19Speaker 5: last week that called.
- 45:20Speaker 4: I don't want to hear that one.
- 45:22Speaker 5: I won't make you live through it, but actually it's
- 45:23Speaker 5: pretty damn funny. Either way, we try to encourage everyone
- 45:26Speaker 5: to call in after the fact. So, hey, this is
- 45:29Speaker 5: what other people who weren't at that episode think.
- 45:32Speaker 7: Of the movie.
- 45:34Speaker 14: Wow, that was pretty geeky right there. Hey, this is Misty.
- 45:38Speaker 5: This is Jay.
- 45:39Speaker 14: And we called to talk about.
- 45:43Speaker 14: Dreamscape, because goddammit, I stayed up until 3 o'clock in
- 45:45Speaker 14: the morning watching this movie, so we're going to talk
- 45:48Speaker 14: about it. I don't have much to say about it, though.
- 45:51Speaker 18: It didn't fuck.
- 45:52Speaker 15: No, it's pretty good. Dennis Quaid was a little creepy
- 45:56Speaker 15: looking in it. It's smirky creepiness.
- 45:58Speaker 14: Yeah, I didn't like that so much. And the other
- 46:00Speaker 14: guys out that I was not digging, the whole white
- 46:03Speaker 14: collar with the blue shirt and the tie and the jacket,
- 46:06Speaker 14: I wanted to punch him in the face.
- 46:07Speaker 9: That's good.
- 46:08Speaker 14: Long guy.
- 46:09Speaker 15: The T-Bird guy?
- 46:10Speaker 14: No, not the T-Bird guy. The other bad guy.
- 46:13Speaker 15: Oh, the bad guy?
- 46:14Speaker 7: Not a bad guy. Oh, the other bad guy.
- 46:16Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 46:16Speaker 18: Not T-Bird.
- 46:17Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 15: The other psychic in there was T-Bird. Misty picked that
- 46:20Speaker 15: out from the crow.
- 46:23Speaker 1: And the.
- 46:24Speaker 15: I'm sure they've already talked about it.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:26Speaker 15: I'm sure you already talked about it. The annoying little kid.
- 46:28Speaker 15: The one with the nightmares is Tina Yeathers. I guess
- 46:33Speaker 15: that's her little brother?
- 46:34Speaker 14: I would assume so.
- 46:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:36Speaker 12: So.
- 46:36Speaker 14: And it had Hank from Twin Peaks.
- 46:38Speaker 18: Everybody loves Hank.
- 46:38Speaker 15: Yeah, everybody loves Hank.
- 46:39Speaker 14: He's a jackass, and he's an abusive bastard. But other
- 46:41Speaker 14: than that, everybody, I guess, doesn't hate him.
- 46:44Speaker 18: Yeah, I don't know.
- 46:45Speaker 5: It's a good movie.
- 46:47Speaker 4: I thought it was a good movie.
- 46:48Speaker 15: It was good for... I'm sure there have been a
- 46:49Speaker 15: lot of other movies to copy off of it and
- 46:51Speaker 15: clone it, you know, but it's a pretty original movie.
- 46:55Speaker 15: You know, it's far from the same.
- 46:59Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 46:59Speaker 14: And then came Inception, which is a complete ripoff.
- 47:02Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 14: Alright, I don't think I have anything else. Yeah.
- 47:07Speaker 18: We talked about it.
- 47:08Speaker 11: Good movie.
- 47:09Speaker 14: We played the, hey, what's that person from game, the
- 47:12Speaker 14: whole movie.
- 47:12Speaker 15: Yeah, pretty much. And I knew he was totally going
- 47:16Speaker 15: to do it with that chick in her dream.
- 47:18Speaker 14: You totally did.
- 47:19Speaker 15: I totally knew it.
- 47:20Speaker 14: Alright, I think that's all we have. We called.
- 47:24Speaker 1: We called.
- 47:25Speaker 14: So, neener neener, and we'll talk to you later.
- 47:28Speaker 5: Alright, bye. Bye.
- 47:29Speaker 11: Alright.
- 47:31Speaker 5: Other than that, we also heard from, uh, Naked Eskimo
- 47:33Speaker 5: and Barb. And, um, let me just go ahead and say, guys, uh,
- 47:37Speaker 5: I pretty much called it. I decided to warn them
- 47:39Speaker 5: ahead of time that having been said, we will get
- 47:43Speaker 5: on with the message here.
- 47:44Speaker 18: Well, hi, Movie Meltdown. It's Naked Eskimo. Uh, consider this
- 47:50Speaker 18: my official bid to get the room on the roster
- 47:55Speaker 18: for Movie Meltdown. Uh, Yeah, I absolutely have to hear
- 48:01Speaker 18: Misty go off on this movie. I must. After the
- 48:07Speaker 18: glory that was Fright Fest, I need more. I need
- 48:12Speaker 18: it badly. Barb has something she wishes to add as well. Oh, hi,
- 48:17Speaker 18: Movie Meltdown.
- 48:18Speaker 14: Oh, hi, Misty.
- 48:20Speaker 18: You should really watch The Room. If you like Southland cells,
- 48:25Speaker 18: you will love The Room. And you liked Sorority Row,
- 48:33Speaker 18: and that was awesome. Not the crappy remake. Okay, bye.
- 48:38Speaker 8: Yeah, after watching this trailer for the movie, I'm not
- 48:41Speaker 8: sure I can be your friend anymore.
- 48:44Speaker 13: You're tearing me apart, Lisa.
- 48:47Speaker 8: God, there were some unfortunately ugly people in that movie.
- 48:50Speaker 4: What movie?
- 48:51Speaker 8: The Room. No, I mean, they're a special kind of hideous.
- 48:55Speaker 8: Like the dude, oh my fucking God, he fell off
- 48:58Speaker 8: the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
- 49:01Speaker 8: He got beat with the ugly stick. And, yeah, horrible things.
- 49:06Speaker 4: I don't remember the trailer.
- 49:08Speaker 8: I didn't make you watch it.
- 49:09Speaker 12: No, I turned around and looked at it for a
- 49:10Speaker 12: couple minutes and then went back to whatever I was doing.
- 49:15Speaker 8: Yeah, it looked absolutely horrible. I think that if you
- 49:17Speaker 8: all decide to do it, I should not be here
- 49:18Speaker 8: that weekend.
- 49:20Speaker 5: Yeah, hopefully the ugly stick comment will suffice because, yeah,
- 49:24Speaker 5: I kind of knew. I could just, what I know
- 49:27Speaker 5: of the room, I could tell it was not going
- 49:29Speaker 5: to be up Misty's Alley, and I also know her
- 49:31Speaker 5: well enough to know you're not going to sucker her
- 49:33Speaker 5: into doing it.
- 49:33Speaker 8: And I don't like movies with ugly people.
- 49:37Speaker 5: Fuck. Please find more pretty people movies.
- 49:40Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 49:40Speaker 5: And then she will make one of them too.
- 49:42Speaker 13: With no British people because British people aren't hot.
- 49:45Speaker 8: Fuck. Unless they're in S Club 7.
- 49:47Speaker 13: Some British people are. Very few.
- 49:50Speaker 4: What about Jason Statham?
- 49:52Speaker 13: Is he British, though?
- 49:53Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 49:53Speaker 13: Is he actually from Canada?
- 49:54Speaker 4: I think he is.
- 49:55Speaker 9: She's just going to pretend like he's not. Pretend he's
- 49:58Speaker 9: from New Jersey.
- 49:59Speaker 8: Yeah, usually everybody's from New Jersey. Jersey's not much better.
- 50:02Speaker 5: This is the same game she plays with Canadians. If
- 50:06Speaker 5: she really likes them, she pretends like they're not from Canada.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I know.
- 50:09Speaker 9: It's easy to pretend a Canadian's not from Canada.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Oh, good lord.
- 50:14Speaker 5: What? You've met her before. You know how this operates.
- 50:17Speaker 8: There are certain things in Canada that I absolutely love
- 50:20Speaker 8: and adore. I mean, Corey Haim, Mark Singer, fucking Big
- 50:22Speaker 8: Wolf on campus. Shatner. Yeah, Shatner.
- 50:26Speaker 13: But still... What's wrong with Canada?
- 50:28Speaker 9: I like Canada.
- 50:29Speaker 8: They don't have proper weapons and stuff. They don't have
- 50:33Speaker 8: a good army.
- 50:34Speaker 5: If we've learned anything from today's episode, yes, it's that
- 50:36Speaker 5: they don't have enough guns. I'm sure all Canadians feel
- 50:39Speaker 5: the same way.
- 50:40Speaker 4: Probably. No, I don't think they do.
- 50:43Speaker 13: They don't have racism in Canada.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Who cares?
- 50:47Speaker 9: I had a roommate who went to Canada and married
- 50:51Speaker 9: a girl after he knew her for like three days.
- 50:53Speaker 9: And she came back and she's awesome. They've been married
- 50:55Speaker 9: for two years now and they're like ridiculously happy. But
- 50:58Speaker 9: she was like, I've never, we were talking about racism
- 51:01Speaker 9: in Kentucky and stuff like that. She's like, I've never
- 51:04Speaker 9: met anyone who's racist before.
- 51:05Speaker 13: They've got racism in Canada.
- 51:08Speaker 5: They're like, where are you from, Canada? We don't have.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Racism in an all white neighborhood.
- 51:13Speaker 8: We've got Mounties in Canada. That's what I don't like.
- 51:15Speaker 8: I don't like Mounties. When I think Mounties, I think.
- 51:18Speaker 8: Brendan Fraser.
- 51:19Speaker 5: Sadly, I was like, you're going with that bad Dudley
- 51:22Speaker 5: Do-Right movie, aren't you?
- 51:23Speaker 4: That's what I think of the old Dudley Do-Right cartoon.
- 51:25Speaker 5: The cartoon was one thing. The movie, I like the cartoon.
- 51:28Speaker 8: I think of Brendan Fraser, and he's on the list
- 51:30Speaker 8: of the five people that I fucking hate.
- 51:32Speaker 5: Yeah, can't we kick him out of the country and
- 51:34Speaker 5: send him to Britain? Why is he American? I don't
- 51:37Speaker 5: want to claim that motherfucker.
- 51:39Speaker 8: I want to trade him in for some people. I
- 51:41Speaker 8: want to make him Canadian and claim Mark Singer as American.
- 51:46Speaker 7: Oh, wow.
- 51:47Speaker 5: You are ambassador to the world.
- 51:48Speaker 9: I see you're Mark Singer. I'll raise you, Brendan Fraser.
- 51:56Speaker 5: Oh, Lord. Ah. So yeah, Misty is difficult to deal with.
- 52:02Speaker 5: So I don't know what to tell you guys.
- 52:03Speaker 8: Hey, I'm not saying you all can't watch it.
- 52:04Speaker 13: Have fun.
- 52:05Speaker 8: Knock yourself out.
- 52:06Speaker 5: But nobody cares about us. It's all about you. Which
- 52:08Speaker 5: even to finish what he was getting to there when
- 52:12Speaker 5: he started that message, he sent after last week's, well,
- 52:16Speaker 5: the week before last, the last time you were on
- 52:18Speaker 5: here with the attacking people at the film festival, Who did.
- 52:22Speaker 13: You attack at the film fest?
- 52:23Speaker 5: Everybody that walked by.
- 52:25Speaker 8: Not physically anybody.
- 52:26Speaker 4: No, but.
- 52:27Speaker 5: But you threatened a few. But, no.
- 52:29Speaker 13: It was mostly that guy across the aisle from us.
- 52:32Speaker 5: We all kind of made fun of him. He was
- 52:33Speaker 5: asking for it.
- 52:34Speaker 8: I fucking hated that guy. He sold me... What he
- 52:37Speaker 8: said was the complete series of Big Wolf, but it
- 52:38Speaker 8: was not the complete series of Big Wolf on campus.
- 52:40Speaker 8: It was 36 episodes out of the 63 episodes I
- 52:44Speaker 8: was pissed off.
- 52:44Speaker 5: That's near half of a complete series, not a complete series.
- 52:48Speaker 5: So I agree.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Fuck that guy.
- 52:49Speaker 5: He didn't get stupid hair.
- 52:51Speaker 9: So.
- 52:51Speaker 13: What about the guy that you thought was pretty and
- 52:52Speaker 13: you stalked? Oh, he was pretty.
- 52:55Speaker 5: But I'm pretty sure he was gay. Anyway.
- 52:57Speaker 8: So, is that making me less pretty?
- 52:58Speaker 5: I'm not saying there's anything wrong. I'm just saying.
- 53:00Speaker 13: He probably likes the ice cream truck song.
- 53:02Speaker 5: He probably does, but he probably would prefer Jay as well.
- 53:07Speaker 5: I think he was eyeballing you that one.
- 53:09Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 53:09Speaker 8: You do have a fantastic ass.
- 53:13Speaker 5: Don't tell that guy. He'll be all over it. He'll
- 53:16Speaker 5: be humping it like it's Marlena.
- 53:17Speaker 9: So.
- 53:19Speaker 8: often jesus christ people so you started.
- 53:22Speaker 9: I mean only if i'm like dancing and i'm like
- 53:25Speaker 9: black snake moan and then people think it's okay and then.
- 53:29Speaker 8: That's the international signal for humping.
- 53:31Speaker 9: I don't know why i say that i do you've
- 53:36Speaker 9: seen it i think i'm pretty sure you've all seen
- 53:38Speaker 9: it at some point when i'm like i.
- 53:39Speaker 5: Think i was ignoring yeah i try to look the
- 53:41Speaker 5: other way during dancing.
- 53:43Speaker 9: Drinking and getting rowdy and dancing i'm like.
- 53:50Speaker 13: Alright, back to me.
- 53:52Speaker 5: Anyway, he said he didn't use.
- 53:54Speaker 8: I'll just use my sock.
- 53:57Speaker 9: What?
- 53:57Speaker 4: Oh, God. I don't know. You weren't there for that, Moilena.
- 54:03Speaker 5: Which one are you talking about?
- 54:04Speaker 4: The crazy sock lady.
- 54:07Speaker 5: I'll just use my sock.
- 54:09Speaker 4: I'll just use my sock.
- 54:12Speaker 5: I love that story.
- 54:14Speaker 13: Are you fucking kidding me?
- 54:17Speaker 5: These are the people you were hanging out with at
- 54:19Speaker 5: the I believe they were still there on Sunday.
- 54:23Speaker 9: Who was I hanging out with?
- 54:24Speaker 5: The people at the fest. Yeah, you guys at home
- 54:27Speaker 5: didn't hear Marlena. She was there shortly on Sunday, but
- 54:31Speaker 5: I just made her take pictures most of the day
- 54:32Speaker 5: while I was attacking Marcy Darcy. Like, I'm going to
- 54:36Speaker 5: go stand by her.
- 54:37Speaker 3: You take pictures.
- 54:38Speaker 8: All right, back to me being awesome.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Back to you.
- 54:41Speaker 5: Again, it's all about Misty. So the point being is
- 54:44Speaker 5: that whole episode, basically, he didn't even finish. He was
- 54:47Speaker 5: midway in, and he already sent us a message here
- 54:50Speaker 5: on the Twitter that says, I want a podcast of
- 54:52Speaker 5: Misty making fun of people for an hour. Make it happen.
- 54:58Speaker 4: Dude, all you gotta do is just strap our recorder
- 55:00Speaker 4: to her hip as we go out to the mall.
- 55:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I was like, we'll basically put a microphone in
- 55:04Speaker 5: front of Misty for an hour and that's what you get.
- 55:07Speaker 4: It pretty much is. Dude, we're going to the fair.
- 55:10Speaker 10: Holy shit.
- 55:13Speaker 5: A fair episode. A state fair episode.
- 55:16Speaker 9: That would be a four hour episode.
- 55:19Speaker 7: Wow.
- 55:20Speaker 8: You're still bringing the recorder, right?
- 55:23Speaker 5: I don't know if you guys can handle that.
- 55:25Speaker 8: That would give you all enough ammo so that I
- 55:27Speaker 8: could miss another week.
- 55:29Speaker 4: The amount of ranting that would come out of her. Jeez.
- 55:34Speaker 4: I gotta keep you out of fights.
- 55:35Speaker 8: Lord.
- 55:37Speaker 13: One thing with a recorder is that you don't get
- 55:38Speaker 13: me pointing at people.
- 55:40Speaker 5: Yeah, we also need video footage of you just pointing
- 55:43Speaker 5: and laughing.
- 55:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 55:44Speaker 4: Rolling on the floor laughing. You've gotten better since I've
- 55:47Speaker 4: known you.
- 55:47Speaker 8: Remember that time we were at Jim Porter's and that
- 55:49Speaker 8: couple was dancing and she fell right in front of me?
- 55:51Speaker 8: And I pointed and laughed.
- 55:54Speaker 12: Yes.
- 55:55Speaker 18: Loudly.
- 55:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:56Speaker 13: I can't do it.
- 55:58Speaker 8: And she looked at me. That made me laugh harder.
- 56:02Speaker 9: God, you're the world's worst human being.
- 56:07Speaker 4: Wow.
- 56:08Speaker 8: What did you say?
- 56:11Speaker 13: I'm just joking.
- 56:12Speaker 9: I said, God, you're the world's worst human being.
- 56:14Speaker 12: I know, man.
- 56:14Speaker 5: He looked at me.
- 56:15Speaker 16: He said, huh?
- 56:16Speaker 8: She's like, what are you doing?
- 56:18Speaker 9: So cute.
- 56:18Speaker 6: God.
- 56:18Speaker 5: Oh, God. So. I'm going to throw up.
- 56:20Speaker 13: I'm going to throw up.
- 56:31Speaker 5: So as vicious as she is, once again, as I've
- 56:34Speaker 5: previously stated, it's all on her own terms. So to
- 56:37Speaker 5: sum it up, Misty, would you like me to give
- 56:39Speaker 5: them the quote that you put on your page today?
- 56:42Speaker 5: Because I think it kind of says it all, actually.
- 56:44Speaker 8: Okay, sure.
- 56:46Speaker 5: It says, I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I
- 56:49Speaker 5: make mistakes, I'm out of control, and at times hard
- 56:52Speaker 5: to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst,
- 56:54Speaker 5: then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.
- 56:57Speaker 5: That was Marilyn Monroe.
- 56:58Speaker 8: That was fucking awesome.
- 56:59Speaker 5: But I think it's pretty accurate for our own Misty.
- 57:03Speaker 4: It is.
- 57:03Speaker 5: Basically, if you love Misty, you love her for the
- 57:06Speaker 5: way that she is. And the way that she is
- 57:08Speaker 5: is the way that she wants to do things. So
- 57:10Speaker 5: you can't really make her do anything, I hate to
- 57:11Speaker 5: tell you.
- 57:12Speaker 6: No, you can't.
- 57:12Speaker 5: And that's why.
- 57:13Speaker 4: You love her. You can't make her do a damn thing.
- 57:15Speaker 5: It's a vicious circle.
- 57:17Speaker 4: She's going to do what she wants to do, damn it.
- 57:18Speaker 8: Fucking A.
- 57:19Speaker 13: If I want to yell at the guy on TV,
- 57:21Speaker 13: I'm going to yell at him.
- 57:22Speaker 4: You can yell at him on TV from now on.
- 57:23Speaker 5: You just do that, honey. It's okay. You do that.
- 57:26Speaker 5: You yell at that guy.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Just letting you know.
- 57:28Speaker 5: If you start some shit at a convention, I might.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Not always step in.
- 57:36Speaker 13: You would leave me all to myself?
- 57:38Speaker 4: I wouldn't leave you all to yourself. But if there's
- 57:40Speaker 4: 20 people, I'm going to have to grab you and run.
- 57:42Speaker 8: Well, as long as you grab me and run.
- 57:44Speaker 4: I can't take on 20 people.
- 57:45Speaker 9: Shit.
- 57:46Speaker 13: Maybe 10.
- 57:47Speaker 4: Maybe 10.
- 57:49Speaker 8: Good lord. This is as long as it's not that
- 57:52Speaker 8: lady with the sock.
- 57:54Speaker 5: All she'd have to do is touch you.
- 57:55Speaker 9: Did you see this lady or were you in the
- 57:56Speaker 9: bathroom and you overheard it?
- 57:58Speaker 8: I had to give her toilet paper so she didn't
- 58:01Speaker 8: use her sock.
- 58:02Speaker 9: See, you're not all bad.
- 58:03Speaker 8: I just didn't want to have to walk on the
- 58:06Speaker 8: same floor as P-Sock.
- 58:07Speaker 4: Or Poop Sock.
- 58:09Speaker 5: And once again, yeah, we're assuming it was P-Sock. I'm
- 58:12Speaker 5: not making that assumption myself. I know these people too well.
- 58:15Speaker 8: I'm also making the assumption that she hasn't already used
- 58:17Speaker 8: her socks.
- 58:17Speaker 5: Yeah, this is probably the first time today.
- 58:19Speaker 13: Oh, I would be so screwed.
- 58:22Speaker 9: I don't usually wear socks.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Use your hand. My flip-flop. Well, yeah, I don't want
- 58:28Speaker 5: to wear that no more.
- 58:31Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 58:32Speaker 5: So yeah, on that note, keep the feedback coming. I
- 58:36Speaker 5: can't guarantee you that Misty will appease your pleas, but
- 58:40Speaker 5: feel free to make them anyway. The rest of us
- 58:43Speaker 5: might be up for something, but... With that one in particular,
- 58:45Speaker 5: I don't know. I've heard so much about it myself.
- 58:48Speaker 5: I feel like it's almost overdone.
- 58:49Speaker 13: Are we back on The Room again?
- 58:50Speaker 8: Are we making fun of people?
- 58:52Speaker 7: Well, no.
- 58:52Speaker 5: We'll always make fun of people. That's not going anywhere.
- 58:55Speaker 5: But as far as The Room, you said we can
- 58:57Speaker 5: do it without you. But first of all, I think
- 58:59Speaker 5: they only want you. And second of all, I feel
- 59:01Speaker 5: like I've heard so much from every other show out there.
- 59:04Speaker 5: It's sort of redundant at this point.
- 59:05Speaker 8: I think if I reviewed the trailer, I'd fucking hate
- 59:09Speaker 8: this movie.
- 59:10Speaker 5: Well, there you go. That wraps it all up.
- 59:12Speaker 12: Yeah, that's kind of what I heard from behind me.
- 59:13Speaker 12: I was sitting there on the computer, and I heard,
- 59:16Speaker 12: what the fuck? What the fuck is this shit? These
- 59:19Speaker 12: fucking people are ugly.
- 59:19Speaker 4: I don't want to watch this goddamn show.
- 59:21Speaker 8: Fucking movie she suggested we make it a drinking game
- 59:24Speaker 8: but I don't drink so that it's like alright first
- 59:27Speaker 8: of all I have to watch this shitty ass movie
- 59:28Speaker 8: and second of all you'll be able to watch it
- 59:29Speaker 8: with a bunch of drunk.
- 59:30Speaker 5: Ass people yeah then you're surrounded by drunk people yeah
- 59:33Speaker 5: that's not gonna be good especially cause one of them
- 59:35Speaker 5: will probably be Roger yeah we.
- 59:37Speaker 8: Never know what he's gonna be on anyways.
- 59:39Speaker 5: Yeah really so yeah.
- 59:42Speaker 4: I don't know if I drink enough cough syrup I
- 59:43Speaker 4: could get pretty belligerent.
- 59:46Speaker 5: Cough syrup drinking game we'll all be drunk somebody will
- 59:49Speaker 5: be pumping Marlena laughing I vote for Joanie.
- 59:54Speaker 8: Me too.
- 59:54Speaker 4: I vote for Joanie.
- 59:57Speaker 5: My money is on Joanie.
- 59:59Speaker 8: She seems like a humper.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: Truthfully, I don't even know if you'd have to get
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: her liquored up. She might just do it next week.
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: No, I'm just kidding.
- 1:00:06Speaker 13: Chicago next week.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: I know, and there's a pretty good chance in the
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: hotel room she is going to be humping on Marlene.
- 1:00:11Speaker 13: Is she going to wear fairy wings while she humps?
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: I hope so.
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: Because that would be so cute.
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: Just around the room, not even at the convention.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: Is she supposed to dress up for the convention?
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: I think she's just going to be fluttering around the
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: room all night.
- 1:00:20Speaker 13: Oh, good lord.
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: She's so cute.
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know what to tell you on that one. Otherwise,
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: aside from the room, send in your suggestions or comments
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: again we liked the uh the comments on online i
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: don't know if we want to start including the twitter
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: comments because we're getting some good ones i don't know.
- 1:00:42Speaker 13: If they're really good they're good fuck.
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: Yeah okay do you want to hear the one from
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: the other day yeah sure uh i don't think he'd
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: care but i don't know if i'll give it it's
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: on our page anyway so uh the comment we got
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: yesterday was as a butt pirate gay homosexual i'll have
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: you guys know 80s dennis quaid was hot That was
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: our last Twitter comment.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: He had a creepy face, dude. I'm sorry.
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: He was smirky.
- 1:01:06Speaker 13: It wasn't even a smirk.
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: It was like a Joker smile.
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: That's his smile, though.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: It was the same smile from Flesh-Eating Mothers.
- 1:01:13Speaker 13: That's just creepy.
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: Flesh-Eating Mothers was fucking awesome. We should do that movie.
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: I'll give him he was in shape. They made use
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: of it. Every other scene when he... He was pretty
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: damn ripped, especially at a time when he probably had
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: to really work out. They didn't have fancy machines back then.
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: Oh, do you want to say your other comments about
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: Dreamscape now?
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:34Speaker 12: We posted this on Facebook, but Misty and I both
- 1:01:37Speaker 12: made the.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: I noticed it first. Yeah, she noticed it first.
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: The observation?
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: The observation that when he enters their dream... He does
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: it via their colon.
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: He goes up their poop tree.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: Yes, that's kind of what it looks like. He's going
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: into the colon.
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: It's the way that you drink is through your butt.
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: Once again, this movie was cutting edge ahead of its
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: time because they didn't even have those scopes back then.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: They were really looking into the future because they didn't
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: even know what that vision looked like.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: The future is the colon?
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: Yeah, pretty much.
- 1:02:09Speaker 8: One in the family. Once again, I told you to
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: stay out of my dreams and out of my book.
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: That's a pretty good rule of thumb.
- 1:02:22Speaker 12: I totally knew he was going to do her in
- 1:02:23Speaker 12: her dreams.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: I mean, come on. It's not like he really did it,
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: you know?
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: Dream rape.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: Dream rape.
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: We called it last week.
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: Dream rape.
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: But she didn't say no.
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: You didn't tell her to shut up.
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: You shut up and do it.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: You just go, shh.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: You just ride this rail. Don't you worry about it.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 1:02:42Speaker 12: How come that Inya music wasn't playing in the background
- 1:02:46Speaker 12: or something?
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: Yeah, you would have thought in her dream. She did
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: have a drilling dream. You'd think there would have been
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: some sort of crazy... Deep forest or some shit like that.
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: Tibetan monks?
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: Tibetan monks.
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: Something.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: Something.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: Wait, I don't... That's more scary. That's more of the
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: kid's nightmare.
- 1:03:03Speaker 13: Those are the kind of dreams that I have.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Yeah. Okay, maybe it's more Inya than.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: Don Knotts and Tibetan monks. Yep.
- 1:03:10Speaker 8: That kid was ugly in that movie.
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Oh, God, yeah, I heard that, too.
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: Leave bumpers on. She's a poor little bumper.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: What was that kid from again?
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: He was Tina Yeather's brother.
- 1:03:23Speaker 12: Yeah, okay, yeah, I figured that out, but then... Yeah,
- 1:03:26Speaker 12: that's what I heard through the movie was her going, God,
- 1:03:28Speaker 12: that kid's fucking ugly. Just let the thing get him.
- 1:03:31Speaker 12: Just let him kill him.
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: Jeez.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: Who wants to fucking help that kid out?
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: Why does that not surprise me?
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: When I got back in the movie we just watched today,
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: I was like, yeah, use the kid as a shield.
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: He's fucking ugly anyways.
- 1:03:42Speaker 13: And he's British. And he's British.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: And she's like, just throw him at the killer.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: Yeah, that was like five minutes in. And I was like, ah,
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: babysitting tips from Misty.
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: I don't babysit.
- 1:03:51Speaker 13: Last time I babysat my cousin, I locked him in
- 1:03:53Speaker 13: a closet until he cried.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: Once again, this is not a shocker.
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: Then I said I'm going to figure four leg lock
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: until he cried. Back in the day, I could do
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: a figure four leg lock because I watched me some wrestling.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: Once again, keep this in mind at the conventions. When
- 1:04:04Speaker 5: you're on the floor, she's going to have your leg locked.
- 1:04:07Speaker 13: Just keep your children away.
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: That too.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: I want people to do that anyways.
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: Keep that in mind.
- 1:04:14Speaker 13: Kids usually run in fear and scream when they see me.
- 1:04:17Speaker 9: And dogs.
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: It's just your dog because she's stupid.
- 1:04:20Speaker 13: My dog is really smart.
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: She knows to fear me seriously all i gotta do
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: is look at her dog and she like.
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: Cowers my dog loves everybody it was the coolest thing
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: i've never seen somebody do that when we first started
- 1:04:33Speaker 10: dating she just looked at that dog like and the
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: dog just was like holy shit i was like dude
- 1:04:37Speaker 10: that's so.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: Fucking cool yeah i scare dogs just by looking at them.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: I'll give you that one i i used to watch
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: it on a weekly basis she would come over and
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: i'd just be like and then dog would like go
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: cringe and hide in the corner give her.
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: The eyes give her that fucking look that's the same
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: look my mom gave me as a child that's how
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: I know how to.
- 1:04:55Speaker 13: Do it I used to go sit and cower in a.
- 1:04:57Speaker 8: Corner I know how it works.
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: My dog loves everybody I mean yesterday like anybody anybody
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: walking down the street cause there are a bunch of
- 1:05:05Speaker 9: people outside and I'm trying to walk her they're like
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: oh my god a doggy and she's all like excited
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: it could be like someone anybody.
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: But me except for mister.
- 1:05:15Speaker 8: That's because of the way I look at her. It's
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: not like she doesn't like me because I'm, you know,
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: a jerk. Yeah, it's like because I don't like her.
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: Yeah, the dog's fine until she gives her this specific look,
- 1:05:25Speaker 12: and the dog's like, holy shit.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: Oh, it is on.
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: That's my new power.
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: Is your dog brown or just shit itself?
- 1:05:34Speaker 9: I mean, I can give her that look and she'll, like,
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: lay down, but she doesn't, like, cower in fear. I
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: guess she knows me well enough to know I'm probably
- 1:05:40Speaker 9: not going to eat her soul. I, on the other hand....
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: Om nom doggy souls.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: Holy shit.
- 1:05:49Speaker 14: Oh, God.
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: Oh, Lord.
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: I wouldn't want to eat your dog's cell in price.
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: Price feels like dog farts.
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: Farts are terrible.
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: Cheese and liver.
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: Well, I take her to my mom's house every day
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: and my mom fucking feeds her burritos.
- 1:06:14Speaker 13: I'm like, she has allergies.
- 1:06:17Speaker 9: Feed her her special food and don't feed her anything else.
- 1:06:19Speaker 13: But she gets so hungry.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: Burritos. Hungry for burritos.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: What is wrong with her?
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: She should know by now.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: Any more feedback? Any more fun Twitters?
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: That's pretty much it. So, yeah. Feel free to keep
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: them coming in, because we do enjoy the feedback. We
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: can't guarantee you'll get what you want, but we do
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: like hearing from you.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: Don't be shy. We'd like to hear from you.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: So give us a call at 502-365-5565. Or you can
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: email us at geeksatmoviemeltdown.com. And just stop by the website
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: for our frequent updates. That's moviemeltdown.com.
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm not sure I could stomach The Room. It
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: made me angry just watching the minute-and-a-half trailer. Like I said, though,
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: I looked it up. There was two different trailers for
- 1:07:18Speaker 8: movies called The Room. The other had a short, but
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: special kind of kid in it. Which made the reference
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: to sex scenes even more creepy to me, but I
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: don't know. I don't want some special helmet and Velcro
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: shoe need and love, and I get that enough from you.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: Wow. I don't have a helmet.
- 1:07:37Speaker 13: Yes, you do.
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: You have like 50 helmets.
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: You do.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, I do. Global collection.
- 1:07:42Speaker 12: I don't have Velcro shoes in there.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: How do you like that?
- 1:07:47Speaker 9: I do.
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: Me too.
- 1:07:52Speaker 9: Misty brings the Velcro shoes, Jay brings the helmet, and
- 1:07:54Speaker 9: it's a party.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: It is a party.
- 1:07:58Speaker 13: All right.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: It's time. Is it? Sharktopus countdown!
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: I've got a picture called Sharktopus, which comes out September
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: 25th on the Sci-Fi Channel.
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: God, I feel like I'm going to be sick. All right, good.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: Then read this. Give them the countdown numbers.
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: I actually have to read. Is it 41 days, 3 hours,
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: 52 minutes, and 20 seconds?
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Until the premiere of Sharktopus.
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but by the time this airs, it's going to
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: be really.
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: I don't care. Well, see, luckily, it doesn't matter because
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: I added a Sharktopus countdown clock onto our website.
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: Holy fucking shit, man. It's like all high-tech and shit.
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: Oh, no, it's crappy, but I did it. I pieced
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: it together, but it's got a nice little tropical picture there,
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: and in my mind, Sharktopus is going to pop up
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: out of the water at any given moment. So, yeah,
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: go to the website. It's on the homepage there. There's
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: a running clock until the premiere of Sharktopus. It's going
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: to be awesome.
- 1:09:10Speaker 13: I'm going to draw Sharktopus tonight.
- 1:09:12Speaker 9: Let's get matching Sharktopus tattoos.
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: I was already thinking about one, actually. Yeah, it's going
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: to be awesome.
- 1:09:19Speaker 9: Do it.
- 1:09:19Speaker 4: You can have the whole thing.
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: Really? Okay, kids, get out here to go to Ben's.
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: It is time for.
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: Movie Meltdown's Secret Circle reveal of the next feature after next.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: One and some extra stuff features. Once again, we've always
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: got stuff going on just to mix it up and
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: bring you some interesting, interesting stuff.
- 1:09:42Speaker 8: If you want to call it interesting.
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: Oh, I'd say next week's going to be interesting. Next week,
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: we are on the road. Road trip to Chicago.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: Going to the Windy City.
- 1:09:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: I am driving the short bus to.
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: The Windy City. We are on the short bus.
- 1:09:58Speaker 8: We are on the short bus.
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: The meltdown short bus, if you will.
- 1:10:01Speaker 8: Taking my granny's van.
- 1:10:02Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: So this should be interesting, just locked in a van
- 1:10:06Speaker 5: with the rest of these peoples. Mostly Roger.
- 1:10:09Speaker 8: If he actually shows up.
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: It'll be okay.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 1:10:12Speaker 8: He'll probably be asleep.
- 1:10:13Speaker 12: Yeah, he'll sleep most of the time or play Nintendo.
- 1:10:16Speaker 12: You guys can sit back in the back and watch
- 1:10:18Speaker 12: a movie.
- 1:10:18Speaker 13: I should go buy a DS for this road trip.
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: You're going to buy a DS just for the day
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: of the road trip?
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: She's a big spender.
- 1:10:25Speaker 9: I have so much money at my disposal. You do?
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: I just don't pay my bills.
- 1:10:30Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: So yes, next week we will be going to Wizard
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: World slash Chicago Comic Con.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: Hell yeah.
- 1:10:36Speaker 13: Stalking Shatner.
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: Stalking Shatner. Bo Duke. Gonna be tracking down some Adam West.
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: Gonna get me some crazy Batman skills. He's gonna teach
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: that and I can take over his past. I will
- 1:10:47Speaker 5: be the next.
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: But Bo Duke's going to be there. And good Lord,
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: he is still hot.
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: He's pretty awesome.
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: Tom Wopat did not age well.
- 1:10:55Speaker 13: But still, Luke Duke aged well than Catherine Bach did.
- 1:10:58Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: She looks... Actually, everybody else. Other than Uncle Jesse.
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: Boy, he looked good.
- 1:11:03Speaker 12: And those stories about the Catherine Bach photos, I'm pretty
- 1:11:06Speaker 12: convinced that my mom got rid of those.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: What was that? My dad apparently got photos of Catherine
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: Bach up close. When she was here for Carl Casper.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: She was coming out of the dressing room.
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: She was coming out?
- 1:11:20Speaker 12: My dad just happened to snap photos maybe from me
- 1:11:23Speaker 12: to you really close as she was walking up to
- 1:11:25Speaker 12: the stage. He was so obsessed with Catherine Bach that
- 1:11:30Speaker 12: I think my mom kind of got pissed off about it,
- 1:11:33Speaker 12: and his photos mysteriously disappeared at the photo mat.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: They never got them back.
- 1:11:37Speaker 12: Nice.
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: Somebody stole them.
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: Yeah, somebody stole them. I think what happened was my
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: mom went and picked.
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: Them up and then took them out.
- 1:11:43Speaker 13: That's a little on the crazy side.
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: Kind of.
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: How dare you?
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: You would never.
- 1:11:48Speaker 13: You don't fuck with Thai chicks, dude.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: You don't fuck with my mom, either. No, my mom's crazy.
- 1:11:52Speaker 8: Your mom's awesome.
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: I love your mom.
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: She's awesome.
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: She made egg rolls yesterday, dude.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: No wonder you love her.
- 1:11:57Speaker 13: I love your mom, too.
- 1:11:59Speaker 9: I fucking love your mom, too.
- 1:12:00Speaker 13: I don't get to see her enough and eat delicious
- 1:12:02Speaker 13: egg rolls. I didn't even have to see her. He
- 1:12:04Speaker 13: brought them home to me. Oh, I'm jealous.
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: So, Chicago.
- 1:12:08Speaker 12: You know what sucks is that we don't have a
- 1:12:11Speaker 12: table at the Comic Con, so we can sit there
- 1:12:13Speaker 12: and make fun of people walking by.
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: No, because they'll be stuck there. They won't be able
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: to walk around.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: We can walk around and shit.
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: We're free to annoy people and make fun of them.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: I guess we'll talk about that.
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: Take pictures of their costumes.
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll talk about it.
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: That's the thing. I've got the portable one this year,
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: so we'll be able to actually stand there on the
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: floor and make fun of people.
- 1:12:31Speaker 8: Which I will do.
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: Which Misty will do.
- 1:12:34Speaker 13: Because my adoring fans love it so.
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: Oh, don't they?
- 1:12:38Speaker 8: I made my head big.
- 1:12:39Speaker 14: Yep.
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: So, I don't know.
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: Pure fucking gold.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: I've got... That's.
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: A butt of Hollywood.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: Kind of Misty's butt.
- 1:12:47Speaker 8: My golden butt.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: She spins a web of golden... Hatred.
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: Hatred.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: Right out of her ass.
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: I really wanted to upload that comment to.
- 1:12:57Speaker 13: Facebook, and then my phone died on me.
- 1:12:59Speaker 8: Fucker.
- 1:13:00Speaker 13: Oh yeah, Chicago is going to be awesome.
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: Okay, you're going to visit the alley... Yep. Going to
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: go visit Hollywood Mirror.
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: Can we go to Jason's home and garden? Nobody cares
- 1:13:10Speaker 9: but me, but I care so much.
- 1:13:12Speaker 8: Where is that at? Oh, I don't know.
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: Chicago.
- 1:13:16Speaker 13: Chicago.
- 1:13:16Speaker 9: It's not far from the alley in Hollywood Mirror.
- 1:13:19Speaker 13: Can we eat at Combo's place? What is it?
- 1:13:22Speaker 9: It's a burger place that has hamburgers named after metal bands.
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: I think they're pretty cool.
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: The hour is, the wait is like hour song.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: Oh, jeez.
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: I don't know about that.
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: We're very impatient. Yeah.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: We about had a fit last time. We had to
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: stay outside for ice cream.
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: For two hours, though.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: Yeah, the guy goes, it'll be 30 minutes.
- 1:13:41Speaker 8: And I was like, no, you fucking lied to me.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: Yeah, she did. Once again. You said 30 minutes 20
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: minutes ago.
- 1:13:48Speaker 5: Misty at her finest. So, yeah, once again, we've got
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: a more mobile.
- 1:13:53Speaker 8: No, because that would make sense if we said 20 minutes,
- 1:13:56Speaker 8: 30 minutes, 20 minutes ago. That would still mean I.
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: Have 10 minutes. Whatever.
- 1:13:59Speaker 12: You still told the guy you lied to me, which
- 1:14:01Speaker 12: the guy didn't have much of a comeback for that.
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: He just kind of stuttered and kind.
- 1:14:04Speaker 5: Of quickly turned around and ran away. He cowered in
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: the corner like a dog.
- 1:14:09Speaker 13: But he came back relatively soon.
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: He did. That he did.
- 1:14:12Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: So, yeah, we've got a more mobile recording unit. So
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: we're hopefully going to get a few key sessions out
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: in the world there. And at some of these ridiculous
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: things we're going to do, we can stop and make
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: fun of people, probably. So we'll try to give you
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: a complete... The.
- 1:14:28Speaker 8: Gay parade's not going to be going on this year,
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: is it?
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: Oh, God, I hope not. That did cause a traffic. Yeah,
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: I don't really care, but it totally jacked up the traffic.
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: And we're like, guys, really?
- 1:14:37Speaker 8: There's no parking. Do it somewhere else where I'm not at.
- 1:14:41Speaker 8: We found a place last year.
- 1:14:42Speaker 9: Here it is.
- 1:14:43Speaker 8: Gay parade there was no place to.
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: Park there's there's a lot of gay people in chicago
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: that's cool but on another street where i'm not at
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: right now because you i don't care who it is
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: you can be the mexican parade there's a whole lot
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: of mexicans in chicago too and i can't park there
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: either so stop just stop.
- 1:15:00Speaker 9: Brian doesn't like gays or mexicans apparently i'm just kidding brian.
- 1:15:05Speaker 5: Is He has a gay message. And I hate white people.
- 1:15:11Speaker 8: Olé! Hola!
- 1:15:11Speaker 13: Como estas?
- 1:15:12Speaker 8: Olé!
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: Olé!
- 1:15:14Speaker 8: Oh, God.
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: So, yep, that will be next week. Whether or not
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: there are gay Mexicans, you'll have to turn in and
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: find out. In the following.
- 1:15:27Speaker 8: Put the ice cream trucks on. Yes!
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: Yay!
- 1:15:31Speaker 9: And their blonde highlights in their hair.
- 1:15:33Speaker 8: I love that!
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: All right. And the following week, we'll be back here,
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: I'm assuming, if we all survive Chicago. We will be
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: back here.
- 1:15:40Speaker 8: I'm going to leave Roger.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: We might ditch Roger somewhere along the way.
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: I'll bring Joni back, though. We like her.
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: Well, yeah, Joni will come back. So, yeah, we will
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: be back in the studio the following week for the
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: super special Night of the Creeps episode. I actually have
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: an interview to go along with it with Mr. Tom Atkins,
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: which was awesome, by the way.
- 1:15:58Speaker 8: I like him.
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: Didn't he say he wanted to show up?
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: Didn't he say he wanted to shoot Keanu Reeves a
- 1:16:03Speaker 8: whole bunch?
- 1:16:03Speaker 13: Oh, it's not Keanu Reeves, Nicolas Cage.
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: I believe he did say he enjoyed shooting Nicolas Cage.
- 1:16:08Speaker 5: So you've got to like him for no other reason
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: than that alone. Yep, so we will have our interview
- 1:16:13Speaker 5: with Tom Adkins, and I just realized today that most
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: of the crew has not seen Night of the Creeps,
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: which is kind of awesome. So we will get a
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: fresh perspective on Night.
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: Of the Creeps. I think that's one of those that
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: flew under my radar.
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: Mine did for a long time. I just ended up
- 1:16:28Speaker 5: seeing it in the last year or so. So yeah,
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: it'll be good to see what everybody thinks of it.
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: All right, anything else to round out this episode?
- 1:16:36Speaker 9: If The Drive-Ins has good movies anytime soon, if we
- 1:16:39Speaker 9: can all swing it on Saturdays, I think we should
- 1:16:41Speaker 9: go do that.
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: Cooter's going to be there in September. Fuck yeah.
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: Holy shit.
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: Cooter.
- 1:16:47Speaker 13: Cooter.
- 1:16:47Speaker 9: Why?
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: Why?
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: Cooter's going to be there signing autographs.
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: We might be able to get him to sit in
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: on the show.
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: Actually, we probably might.
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: Cooter, would you like to tell us what you thought
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: of Night of the Kreeks?
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: He's going to be wearing a sleeveless shirt, isn't he?
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: Wait, that's not him at all.
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: No, that's Roscoe.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: That's Roscoe. Go crying. All right. I guess that rounds
- 1:17:09Speaker 5: it out here. Otherwise, that about does it. We will
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: return next week. Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: for listening.
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: Bye.
- 1:17:17Speaker 5: Bye.
- 1:19:14Speaker 17: The faceless corpse of a gentleman Dumped out of.
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: Sight by the devil's hands A bleeding soul.
- 1:19:24Speaker 17: Sent on its way The family's lost and.
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: No one's gay A.
- 1:19:30Speaker 17: Long lost sheep, refused and alone For silent walls, for
- 1:19:35Speaker 17: the silent soul Dreaming within.
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: Where the question lies The anchors of silence.
- 1:20:22Speaker 8: Don't.
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: Shut up. Don't.
- 1:20:31Speaker 17: I said shut up.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: Shoot him now.
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: Shoot him now.
