- 0:13Drama, Darling Deadall Drama, Darling Drama, Darling dude. I bet,
- 0:28hey, everybody, what's up? Welcome, It's Tuesday. Oh wait,
- 0:32no, it's Thursday. Hey, everybody don't know where I am, what
- 0:35I'm doing, But it's it's. As she would say, it's all happening
- 0:41ill my tattoo. But now, as Emily and I have since discovered since
- 0:45yesterday's dish, she does have a new tattoo of her child's name, Summer
- 0:51Moon Amy from the new VPR spinoff show, which is basically VPR minus Tom
- 0:58and Tom and I don't know who else mine. How did we break that
- 1:03down? Yesterday? It was minus Tom and Tom and oh Arianna right,
- 1:07yeah, and they're bringing people back, but not Stacy or Faith right and
- 1:12plus thank god, thank god. Yes, And if you want to hear
- 1:19more about that, you can listen to yesterday's podcast Our Atlanta Right Atlanta Recap.
- 1:26Yeah, And I'm so sorry, it's just that here's the thing,
- 1:30Darlings, I am in Michigan caring for my mother who had a major hip
- 1:34replacement surgery. I extended my stay because extended to Day America because hashtag.
- 1:42I'd love it to be an ad sponsor drama darling. But you know,
- 1:47my mother was not recovering as fast as we anticipated, and what we were
- 1:51told we just I mean, not by like the doctor necessarily, just by
- 1:55people in general. Oh I've had my hip done, it's going to be
- 1:57a breeze, a knee is worse, you know, all this stuff and
- 2:00then just excruciating pain. But she is doing so great. We have had
- 2:07a remarkable improvement over the course of literally like twenty four hours. So I
- 2:14mean it's been Yes, there have been ups and downs, which they totally
- 2:19tell you. Shout out to the surgery center over it as Saint John Ascension,
- 2:24and to doctor Perry, who apparently is like the greatest orthopedic surgeon that
- 2:30the world's ever seen. As I was mentioning yesterday, it's like everybody,
- 2:35who's your doctor, doctor Peary. Oh, oh, doctor Parr, Oh
- 2:38he's the best. Oh, doctor Perry's the best. So just riding high
- 2:43and the fact that we got in with doctor Perry and her hip is going
- 2:46to be lasting her for thirty more years and she is doing so great.
- 2:51So thanks again for all the prayers and the uplifting and all the advice and
- 2:55some of the Darlings dropped into my Instagram messages and they were like, hey,
- 3:00here's my number. I'm an orthopedic nurse. If you have any questions,
- 3:05let me know. And I was like, I didn't know I knew
- 3:07angels. You know, that's awesome, that's it's amazing. People have given
- 3:13me great advice, and I'll tell you a lot of it has worked.
- 3:15So listen, hip replacement is no joke. And especially if you're like eighty,
- 3:22you know. This is where I stand by my statement that if the
- 3:27world turns into the Handmaid's Tale, the Darlings are the Marthas. They are
- 3:30going to save the world. They know enough to trick the system, hijack
- 3:38a plane and get us all out of here. So they, oh,
- 3:42are like not to be messed with. No, they're not. They know
- 3:46they know a thing or two. I'll tell you that. And so today
- 3:51Emily Deresis and I are going to be covering the Real Housewives of New York
- 3:55and Crappy Lake. Yes, tomorrow I will be flying back over all of
- 4:04you. Hello, Hello, Hello, and uh I'll be just flying above
- 4:11saying hello, my loves. And then so while I'm flying it's going to
- 4:15be a great episode. You get to hear about the STU crew. So,
- 4:18as I mentioned, just a gaggle of flight attendants that I have befriended
- 4:23through the years. Over the years, got him on the show, asked
- 4:27him every question about travel, and the second not don't give us the best,
- 4:33because we'll listen to hear what the best tip was. Okay, yeah,
- 4:36I'm not going to give you the best. Okay, what was like
- 4:40in the top five of the best of the best tips? Okay? Really,
- 4:47no matter what, wear your shoes in the plane? Oh god,
- 4:51I mean, I know that's obvious, but I don't even wear flip flops.
- 4:56Sorry. I know a lot of people do for that, but a
- 4:58lot of people don't. You know, they take off their shoes and you
- 5:00just got to know that shit goes on you know, and really literally it
- 5:05will go on your feet. Oh there's so much that they talk about that,
- 5:12Like I don't even know where to scratch a service. But I will
- 5:15say, we left some things that, you know, uncovered and unspoken,
- 5:18and so I want to dig back in with them. Calm the holidays.
- 5:23So we're going to have the stew crew back again. They are completely anonymous.
- 5:27You will not hear their names, you will not see their faces,
- 5:30you will not know the airline that they work for. So that being said,
- 5:34we have to guess. You have to guessing everyone's going to be on
- 5:41their flight, being like, are you part of the stew grow So,
- 5:46yeah, it's going to be great. It's super fun. And you can
- 5:48hear that over on my Patreon that's patreon dot com backslash Drama Darling. And
- 5:55before we get into our Real Housewives of New York recap, we're not going
- 5:59to do full is today, but there is one story that Emily and I
- 6:02need to discuss that cannot go without being talked about, and that is that
- 6:09Teresa Judais has a problem with Sophia Virgara. She said on her most recent
- 6:15podcast of No Mistay Bitches podcast that she had a situation with Sophia Vergara back
- 6:26in twenty seventeen at an event and Sophia Virgara's PR person and Teresa's PR person
- 6:31got together. They were talking and they agreed, hey, yeah, let's
- 6:34get a picture of Teresa and Sophia together. And Teresa says on the podcast,
- 6:40you know, I didn't want a picture where I never asked to take
- 6:43a picture with anybody. I ain't care to take a picture with her.
- 6:47I'm so not like that. When we will go to take a picture,
- 6:51she was like, stay in front of me. It's like, oh,
- 6:55okay, is that how you take a picture. She was like the most
- 6:59rudest. I have a man if sing in front of her. She's Sophia's
- 7:05gonna look gigantic, right, Teresa's gonna look like a night like a cute.
- 7:12I need to I need picture, I need picture proof. I need
- 7:15to see this picture because I would imagine it's like Sophia's just oh wait,
- 7:20here's okay. So I would imagine that Sophia's just like, okay, you
- 7:26know, line them up, let's get to the step and repeat where She's
- 7:28just like, okay, I want to take a picture with next okay,
- 7:30I'm just gonna stand here and do this. And then the next thing,
- 7:33you know, they bring in Teresa. So Sophia's probably not looking right,
- 7:38left, up or down. She's just striking a pose and she's waiting to
- 7:41be put next to someone anyone. You know, She's just in game mode.
- 7:46And Teresa probably got the vibe that this is all just business, and
- 7:49she didn't have anything. She wasn't being warm or friendly. I get that.
- 7:53I've been in that situation. Everybody knows my Niemi story, but we
- 7:56won't talk about that now. But anyway, So then Teresa says on her
- 8:01podcast, she says, but I saw her whole demeanor, and then I
- 8:05heard her say to her PR person, why are you making me take a
- 8:09picture with that lady? I was like, excuse me, I said,
- 8:16I did not want to take a picture with you. I said I would
- 8:18never have to take a picture with you. Can you imagine? And then
- 8:24she concluded, how rude. You're so not a humble person. You forgot
- 8:31where you came from. It's not like she started out being on the top.
- 8:35She forgot where she came from. She was not so down to earth.
- 8:39So I'm not a fan of her. Oh my gosh, I like,
- 8:45how on you weren't born on top and you're not down to earth?
- 8:52I like that. I think it's funny that Sophia and Vergara would turn to
- 8:58her PR person and be like, why are thinking make me think? Why
- 9:01are they making me take a bigger with these person? It's like, why
- 9:05do you care? Like just it's a lovely li Also, I you know,
- 9:09look, maybe Sophia has something going on. Maybe she does have an
- 9:13ego bigger than real house but I don't think she would do a g T
- 9:20if that was the case. M Well, listen, stars are stars,
- 9:26and this is just a very very perfect scenario of two people with two very
- 9:31big egos that just want to feel important and want to feel seen. They
- 9:39did not want to be seen in a picture together any other time, right,
- 9:46I mean, I just like I'm a real housewife, I'm a modern
- 9:48family. I mean, which one is better? Yeah? I wonder if
- 9:54this is like the old school, uh, like movie stars versus TV east
- 10:00stars, and now are TV stars versus reality stars, which is now becoming
- 10:05reality stars versus online influencers. Like you know what I mean? Like,
- 10:11I wonder, Yeah, there's always the riff m hmm. I think Sophia
- 10:15had a chip on her shoulder. It's like, you can't tell me,
- 10:18Sofia, you don't know who Teresa is? Teresa table flip Judie, come
- 10:22on, come on, in twenty seventeen wasn't that long ago? So like,
- 10:28Teresa was definitely in pop culture in the lexicon. I don't think pictures
- 10:35with people that in the prison. Sorry, oh yeah, yeah, like
- 10:43a little Shena. Oh my god, you're right. It is a little
- 10:48Sena summer Marionnhney. I don't think pictures. It's exactly the same, exactly.
- 10:54Thank you for playing that out. It's good. I like it.
- 10:58I have two Yeah, I've got like two gearships for my impersonations. It's
- 11:01either and now. I don't even know. It's either here or here.
- 11:09I don't know. I don't know what that meant. You're well studied on
- 11:15listene, classically trained act trace on strike right now as the rest you know,
- 11:24you know, actually for real, real, because my parents are always
- 11:30watching, like you know, the morning shows. My mom's always like it.
- 11:33I mean every morning show you can imagine, so Gail King, you
- 11:37know, CBS Morning and Fran Dresher was on this morning. And nothing has
- 11:43changed with these fricking SAG negotiations. They are still stone walling and shame on
- 11:50them. Yeah, I think it's going to be a minute. I think
- 11:52maybe October is what I keep hearing that. Yeah, negotiations might shake loose
- 11:56one way or the other for both the WGA and yes, yes, well,
- 12:03she said we're we're prepared up to October. We're prepared for six months.
- 12:09That's what she said, And I just gosh, do I pray and
- 12:13hope that these people will come to their senses and be human beings? Did
- 12:18you hear what Lisa Rinna said about it? She was saying that she was
- 12:24basically saying, like reality show people should also like not participate at Bravo kan
- 12:31Yeah, yeah, I did see that. I think isn't it the bigger
- 12:35picture that they that? Uh? And then that Bethany's trying to do,
- 12:37which is form a union for reality Yes, yeah, I mean I think
- 12:41that's a great idea. I do too, because they do get the shit
- 12:46end of the stick a lot, absolutely absolutely so much more. And they've
- 12:50got to like make their homes a set, like all the things that Sag
- 12:56is saying, like we have, Like one of the things is like when
- 12:58you audition, you have to set up all your own lighting and have somebody
- 13:03audition with you. It's like you're producing on an audition at your own costs.
- 13:09And I'm like, do you ever watch a reality show like these women
- 13:13are, Like they have to like convert their homes to be up to code
- 13:18a lot of times for fire safety, they have to basically make their homes
- 13:22businesses. But as though they're going to have thirty people there. And I
- 13:28always wonder, like, do the newer wives, in order to ingratiate the
- 13:31crew, like provide food and stuff like out of their own pocket. I've
- 13:35always wondered that, like, are they like really like trying to be like,
- 13:39I'm just the cool new wife, wine, the cool new one.
- 13:45Meanwhile, three years later, I mean they just left behind. Yes,
- 13:50I completely agree, and I think it's definitely worth a movement for sure,
- 13:56and long overdue. It's because realityity television has now become such a mainstream,
- 14:03mainstream entertainment in which they are completely completely rival scripted. And it is basically
- 14:11what built Discovery because of as we learned from the documentary, the Dugger documentary
- 14:18that you know, because of all the reality shows like on TLC, that's
- 14:22what ended up building Discovery bigger, which you know, Warner Brothers then they
- 14:26bought Warner Brothers and it's just it's crazy the amount of money. So I
- 14:33completely agree, and yeah, let's get it done, like go for it.
- 14:39Yeah, the fight, I do. I know, we talked about
- 14:41it before but I do wonder if as this continues, like they won't go
- 14:46to the reunions, Like I wonder if the reality stars will be like,
- 14:50no, we're not doing this because of the optics, because of so like
- 14:56I do, Yeah, we'll see what happens. But if this continues,
- 14:58I do think that some of the wives will take a stand. Wow.
- 15:03Well it's interesting, actually, but that's what a strike is so well.
- 15:11And also they're calling, I mean, Renna's calling for wives to not participate
- 15:16at Bravo kan which would be enormous and huge and you know, bankrupting to
- 15:20that whole event. So I mean, I think that's you know, I
- 15:24think there are building blocks, you know, I don't I I don't know
- 15:28if it's just like a matter of okay, now we just go on strike,
- 15:31or if it's like, let's start the negotiations on what can we do
- 15:35first before we take that type of dramatic action. You know, I think
- 15:39that there are steps to be taken, and I mean those I don't know.
- 15:45I understand wanting to do it at the same time as like the actors
- 15:50to make it like a synonymous message, you know, across the board.
- 15:54But but reality is in a different category then than the writers and the actors,
- 16:02and so it needs to be probably treated in a different way in the
- 16:06sense that their plight may just not be able to coincide with a writers and
- 16:15actors Streff, Yes, no, because I I think like, if you're
- 16:18going to do it, you reality starts will not have more power than right
- 16:22now because all the programming with Oh that's a great point. Well, that's
- 16:29a great point. You're right, And I suppose striking while the iron is
- 16:33hot is now literally well the iron there's but striking you're yeah, that's literally
- 16:40amoly. Wow. Okay, well why don't why don't we just pivot right
- 16:48into our New York episode? Shall we do that? Yes? Okay?
- 16:53Well, Hobby Dumb of Aaron's house and sag Harbor, okay, the fact
- 17:07that her heat is not working and apparently found out later that Jessel had a
- 17:12problem with the Wi Fi isn't working. I might want to leave too.
- 17:19I love a cold house. Oh really, Okay, I like sleeping in
- 17:25a cold house so you can get like comfy in the bed. Okay,
- 17:29I would be fine with that, as long as I have an outlet that
- 17:33works electricity where I can plug in my heating pad, because my heating pad
- 17:38is crucial to my sleeping habits. I like to I just warm up my
- 17:44feet, turn it off, and then I'm good to go. I just
- 17:48have such cold feet when I lay down, and the circulation thing, I
- 17:52yeah, probably interesting. I know. Well when they were complained, well,
- 17:59Aaron was only on wherever, whatever floor the gals were staying at,
- 18:03because whatever floor the gals are staying a fine right, good point. How
- 18:10many how many like stories is this? Because yeah, good point. The
- 18:15heat is not working in the guest rooms upstairs, so maybe it's two stories
- 18:19and the main, the primary is on the bottom first floor. I mean,
- 18:25okay, right right, yeah, well I still would like to go
- 18:29there, and I still like bring Later in the episode, yelled that they
- 18:33were upper middle class, and I'm like, this is not upper middle class.
- 18:37Wow, Wow, you have a multi flow home, second or third
- 18:41home in the Hamptons. Yeah, that's let's recalibrate those numbers and that label
- 18:48because that's not panning out. Yeah. I did like that. Jess was
- 18:52like, I've never been this cold and I've lived in England, which is
- 18:55quite the statement. But boy, she's a real sour puss, isn't she
- 19:00Something is going on and she's just the guess you don't want to have.
- 19:03I mean, at the end of the day, I don't want to party
- 19:06with Jessel. And look, she may have some issues, she may have
- 19:08some stuff going on. I totally get it. But the complaining, I
- 19:12mean the laingerie to the like, and yes, that's annoying about the Wi
- 19:17Fi and the heat, two pretty crucial things. But when you're in a
- 19:19group of gals, you just laugh it off. You snuggle up and if
- 19:25I can't get my heating pad to work, by god, I'll make some
- 19:27jokes and it'll just become a thing. But I don't understand how she yeah,
- 19:33constantly she is a she, that's how like, that's how she communicates.
- 19:41It's always a complaint to begin and then she'll loosen up. But it's
- 19:45like she starts from like like just bitching about everything and then lightens up.
- 19:52Mm hmm. I wonder, you know, I wonder what this bitter,
- 19:57complaining characteristic. All these characteristics that make up her, how they were,
- 20:03will fare as they age on reality, Like they could get to the point
- 20:08where it becomes a fun little quirk. But right now, it's just annoying,
- 20:15you know, like it's not a funny complaint. I'm not sure,
- 20:19you know, you know what, not sure, not sure yet. I
- 20:22don't know. I feel like grownuver. I'm like, I don't know.
- 20:26I just see this is the way that I see New York and I like
- 20:30it. I really am enjoying it. You know again, I really don't
- 20:33think that you can go wrong when you cast in New York City. When
- 20:37you've got the Hamptons there, and you've got the backdrop and you've got wealth,
- 20:41You're going to find people. But I do like this cast some way
- 20:45more than others, that's for sure. They're not all knocking it out of
- 20:48the park. But this is a show in its infancy. This is a
- 20:52baby bird. And though they are falling on these old tropes with these games
- 20:57that they're playing at the table, all that annoying shit, you know,
- 21:02like we talked about, you know, this whole two truth and a lie
- 21:04thing, and then the other episode when they were talking when they did some
- 21:08other game at Jenna's house. That stuff is annoying to me. Like I
- 21:15would rather just harp on the fact that there's no Wi Fi and that there's
- 21:19no heat for at least you know, five more minutes in a scene than
- 21:22to have them go around and play a game. You know, but it's
- 21:26also like a sex game, which we've already said, like we've kind of
- 21:30done this now. Yeah, so the popsicle thing, doesn't that melt?
- 21:34Like? How does that get stuck? I was so cont I don't know,
- 21:40And why was that so earth shattering? It was like, I mean
- 21:42not that. I'm like, right, They're like, you are a freak.
- 21:49It's going to melt right, right right, You're right. That really
- 21:53wasn't that big of a deal. I mean, you know, look,
- 21:56the only way that game will be interesting is if Andy Burris is a part
- 22:00of it. And other than that, I don't want to hear because and
- 22:04Brinn, you she seems like she's all talk, you know, because I'm
- 22:11like, oh, okay, so you were with a senator or you know,
- 22:14they were all with senators. I don't know, it's just none of
- 22:17it's that was way more interesting than the popsicle. Oh right, yeah,
- 22:22the popsicle it seems to stick inside literally, you know what. The I
- 22:30think like this is like the first launch of a housewife, like since like
- 22:36the beginning, Like I'm talking about the new wave of housewives where we don't
- 22:40have like a Karen Huger or liamn Lockin, Like we don't have like that
- 22:45lightning rod asshole. Yes, And I don't know if I miss it.
- 22:52It's just I mean, like I don't know if that should have been cast.
- 22:55I don't. It just is like I'm realizing, like you don't have
- 22:59that villain yet. I just don't know who of these people would be that
- 23:03person, right, And I just and it's too soon to tell. That's
- 23:07why I think, like I'm not turning on it anytime soon, because it's
- 23:11a slow burn. We need to see it. It's a baby, you
- 23:14can't We're not going to be able to see anything until it starts walking,
- 23:18you know, or at least holding onto furniture. You know, we knew
- 23:22right away, Huger, we knew right away. Leanne Lockett making me feel
- 23:27worried when you say that, Ben Okay, well, yeah, you know,
- 23:30maybe gals are a little bit more self aware, so like and that
- 23:37that might be a redeeming quality about this too, is that you don't necessarily
- 23:44need that. Like when I was watching it last night, actually I just
- 23:48thought this is so just nice. Like I like being in the Hamptons,
- 23:52I like watching their fashions. It's crazy, but they all came out in
- 23:56the white and khaki wardrobe beside that they had for Jenna's party that she said
- 24:02they could not seem to manifest, but they were able to do it there
- 24:04without being told that was bizarre. Everyone was dressed the same except for Aaron
- 24:08and Jenna. I mean, truly bizarre. So I really enjoy just looking
- 24:15at it. And I kind of like, I like that sort of like,
- 24:21I mean, I know that sounds bad, but like because that's not
- 24:23what you want in a reality show. Steadied her hand in a in a
- 24:27horizontal line while making the sound of a dying dead deadline. Yeah, I
- 24:33mean a flat line. It's basically what I'm saying is New York is a
- 24:36flat lined And I'm okay with it now. It's not it's just like it's
- 24:41not piping hot, it's not freezing cold. It's just right and it's just
- 24:47fine for right now. And I'm not saying that that's like a good thing.
- 24:51But I also don't think it's a bad thing because sometimes when people come
- 24:53in, they bust open the doors, and they they're trying too hard help
- 24:57you know, feel in yes, and Brynn is you know, she's tiptoeing
- 25:02in that area. She's starting to be a little bit like, Okay,
- 25:04we got the serie joke the first time with the refrigerator. Now you're doing
- 25:08it again with someone else, and they're like, stop performing. You know,
- 25:12Yes, I mean that just was a little you know, can we
- 25:17go back a second and we even make an announcement? Oh yes, I
- 25:21love announcements. Okay, I used to do the announcements in high school.
- 25:23I did too. Shut up. Oh my gosh, hey everybody, good
- 25:29morning in Northeast morning, gross points South High. Yeah. So this is
- 25:37my and I don't know if I would really like to hear people's opinion on
- 25:41this. So found off darlings. I it drives me a little crazy,
- 25:45this double standard. This isn't really an announcement, but like when Brinn comes
- 25:51in, this is not just Brent. This is across the board, every
- 25:55franchise, Oh oh, every wife. Okay, I'll say most Why when
- 26:00you have a male person that you have hired a guy, your chef,
- 26:06your trainer, and he's there to work to you know, stop dry humping
- 26:11them, stop sexually harassing them. Yes, it makes me nuts because I've
- 26:17been a female around men and I'm trying to work and it doesn't It's so
- 26:23uncomfortable. Can you imagine, like even Brinn. I mean, I don't
- 26:29want to speak for Brinn. She might enjoy it, but I'm just saying
- 26:32like, could you imagine like going and around like a bunch of Jersey husbands
- 26:37like they're married, yeah, but then like they're making you the butt of
- 26:41this sexual harassment. I just right as you're teaching them yoga and they're just
- 26:45like, oh, come over here, Oh boy, you look even better
- 26:48when you're not doing I mean you it would be said it right up sexual
- 26:53harassment. And look, you know, we're trying to level the playing field
- 27:00as women. So part of me is like, oh, we should be
- 27:03able to get away with this, so there's always that for me. Or
- 27:06I'm like, you guys have done it to us for years, so take
- 27:07that, you know. Like for example, on below deck, when they
- 27:12have the charter of like a gaggle of gay men get on the charter and
- 27:18they are just harassing Gary. It's like, oh, when are you going
- 27:22to start taking your shirt off? I'm like, haha, you know,
- 27:26especially when they're hurt arresting a straight man. That's when I'm like, this
- 27:30is amazing when a gay man, when gay groups of men harass straight men,
- 27:34I get so happy because I'm like, see how it feels they I
- 27:37mean, who knows if they like it or not. But it's like they
- 27:41have no clue and this is the only way for them to understand. So
- 27:45I don't know, No, is it right? Absolutely not. Yeah,
- 27:48it's not right. Wrong, right is right? Wrong is wrong. So
- 27:51I don't think it's right, but it is just awkward. It gave me.
- 27:56It seems to go down a little easier when it's Luanne and Sonya.
- 28:02Well there again. Okay, So here's where I'm willing to That was yes,
- 28:06but here's where I'm willing to like kind of like open up my boundary
- 28:11on that a little. Like if you are not like they went to the
- 28:14fire department, crappy Lake and we're you know, don't mind you. But
- 28:22when you've hired somebody to come and work inside your home, great point that
- 28:29is different to me, or come they are working your private events. That's
- 28:33when it's like, what are they supposed to do? Right now, like
- 28:37just sign and take it. And they do. And you know what,
- 28:41they every tennis instructor, every chef, every exercise, every trainer has fully
- 28:48been groped and sexually harassed by housewives. But here's the thing they sign.
- 28:52They sign it away. They have to sign a contract before they go on
- 28:56the on the reality television. So by doing so, those contracts have you
- 29:02seen them? Oh my god, it's like everything you have to sign away
- 29:07your soul. It's like, if we choose to disparage your god given name
- 29:12at any given God given time, be it you, your mother, any
- 29:18ancestor associated with you, shall they be dragged through the mud. You know,
- 29:23you relinquish all rights to integrity, to humility, to every every right
- 29:32that you've been given as an American citizen have been here in two four taken
- 29:37away like it is everything. So they sign that thing and they are basically
- 29:41like raw meat. But a man, I think that that's true, but
- 29:47I don't think they should be still do it. Yeah, Like I mean,
- 29:52I get what they sign up for, but maybe they didn't realize it.
- 29:56They can't fight back. They can't fight back. And I would say
- 30:00all anybody that was in a situation like that on reality TV. You can
- 30:07fight back. It's just a contract. Get a lawyer and they'll fight for
- 30:10you, because no, you're absolutely right, and they should they should fight
- 30:12back. I mean it would be maybe all every one of these guys is
- 30:17like, oh, I was so flattered. I loved it. I don't
- 30:18know. I just know how I would feel. He didn't seem upset.
- 30:22I mean, I have to say UBA's response to him was very funny and
- 30:29all over it. I couldn't but she was all over him. Oh it's
- 30:33just me. I wouldn't have seemed upset either. I will say I would
- 30:37have been like, hah, yeah, there's a difference. Hers seems like
- 30:41playful. Brin's was straight up in his face. Also, I think UBA's
- 30:45joke or Eron's about like she has strap like get off of my man,
- 30:51you know, like don't get him sick, which is terrifying, like get
- 30:55away from him. When Uba was on that like stretchy you know, exercise
- 31:00thing and she was running with the stretch thing and she's like, I'm running
- 31:03away from the hottest man in the world. I mean, it was very
- 31:06funny. He was playful to her too, so it seemed like okay,
- 31:10he seemed fine with it. You know, he probably deals with this.
- 31:14His whole clientele act like this, so he's no. But that being said,
- 31:18how about Brinn arriving in a US Open New York City Championship hat and
- 31:26yet doesn't know who Billy Jean King is? Okay, so thank you?
- 31:32And then the fur coat got together? That's great. Yeah. Yeah,
- 31:36in fact, I noticed that and I had several people message me, and
- 31:41I was like clocked it, already clocked. Thank you for warning in But
- 31:47the fur coat was sweats. I did love the look. I thought it
- 31:49was so like bizarre and kitchy and just I mean I wanted to be faux
- 31:56for only because I don't want her to get attacked. But yeah, I
- 32:01mean I was like, wow, fur coat, Like, I know,
- 32:06you just don't see it these days. But I also think, I'm sure
- 32:08it's a vintage coat. It's not new, which again, you know,
- 32:12I don't have a problem with that, especially if it's vintage in that way.
- 32:15I mean, what are they gonna do just throw them in a pile
- 32:17and burn them. I mean, I don't know, so I'm not going
- 32:22to be throwing blood on anyone. Anytime. No, no, no,
- 32:23but it was just like a bold choice, Like it's a bold choice.
- 32:27I have a fur coat. I never wear it. It's actually, oh
- 32:29you know what, it was here at my parents' house because it was gifted
- 32:31to me. It was like passed down. It was gifted to me.
- 32:36But it was burned in the fire. Speaking of burning, putting him at
- 32:38a fire and burning him. When my parents' house had fire, I mean,
- 32:44they lost almost everything, and that was certainly one of the things.
- 32:47I believe. I don't think that that one was able to be restored.
- 32:50I'm gonna have to check. I think your mom went back in for that
- 32:54to see one thing. If there's one thing, you know now I'm wondering.
- 33:00I doubt it made it. I mean, can you imagine, you
- 33:04know, what can you get smoke at a fur I mean, you know,
- 33:10it's a lot of smoke damage. Okay, uh what else? Okay?
- 33:15So oh what did Uba say about her look? She was like,
- 33:21oh, yeah, she said, that's not a Hampton's look. That's in
- 33:23Mississippi, like down the river, which I thought was very funny. Yeah,
- 33:29I mean I loved it. I did do. It's interesting, it's
- 33:34fun I thought Sy kind of coming after Jenna. I mean, this is
- 33:38a little later on in the episode so we can get to it. When
- 33:40they wanted Jenna to dress up, and Cy was kind of is like,
- 33:45Jen, you know, Jenna needs to light I was like, I love
- 33:47Jenna's style. No matter what she hears, it's always original. It don't
- 33:53mess with that lazy Yeah, you know, I love it, And I'm
- 33:57like, back off side. Although I loved sized cable knit shorts and that
- 34:02was so beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, very
- 34:07beautiful. I mean, the fact that Jenna didn't bring anything other than jeans
- 34:14and buttondowns is amazing to begin with. But I did like that sigh.
- 34:21It was like kind of giving a hard time. And then Uba was like,
- 34:23come on, wear this. And then she dressed her up and it
- 34:27was just like I liked seeing her in that gorgeous dress of ubas and those
- 34:31red I can't remember the designer shoes, but they're like those shoes that every
- 34:37housewife has. But and then she had terrible, Oh you did well the
- 34:42shoes because didn't. Yes, it's uncomfortable. Oh it looked like she was
- 34:46like, I'm gonna wear this costume because you guys want me to. She
- 34:51didn't have her Jenna. I don't know. She wasn't like living it,
- 34:55you know what I mean? Yes, yes, yes I would. I'm
- 35:00saying it look terrible, is not what I mean. She didn't bring her
- 35:02normal finesse in it, right, hmmm mm hmmm. Well, I thought,
- 35:10I'm just trying to take it in because I I know I am.
- 35:15I'm just remembering what she was like when she walked in, and that was
- 35:19a clip that was often shown in the promos for the New Housewives. And
- 35:25I thought she looked stunning then and I still think she looks stunning, but
- 35:30it's certainly not necessarily her style. But I just like, I'm like a
- 35:34black slinky long dress. I mean, she's so tall, and like,
- 35:37she just looks so beautiful. I will say, those shoes didn't really go,
- 35:42but I'm splitting hairs. But I love the way she put on her
- 35:45very famous as she's always known for that red orange lip color, which is
- 35:51her thing, and her hair pulled back and the glasses. I mean,
- 35:53it's just like you can't get more New York looking than that. So I
- 36:00also liked that Jenna was like that's the old me, you know, when
- 36:04I was trying to attract men, I did everything through their lens, which
- 36:07I always which I think was so fascinating to hear. And you get to
- 36:10see a couple of pictures of her way back when, and now she's like
- 36:15I, you know, basically she dresses for her and what she finds comfortable,
- 36:20and I think that says a lot about the evolution of not only her
- 36:23life but her you know, not only her style, but it's complete reflection
- 36:28of her life and how she Yeah, it's it's interesting, and I don't
- 36:32think that like I mean, I have seen somewhat recent pictures of her where
- 36:37she does dress maybe more feminine, and it looks amazing, But I think
- 36:43it's because she put it together instead of just like patchworking out of other people's
- 36:49bags to make them feel good. Well, all these ladies are just like
- 36:53red to go, Like they are like housewived up there influence and they are
- 37:00just ready to be let loose, just out to lunch. So they are
- 37:06dressed to the nines. And then you've got Jenna who's like, yeah,
- 37:07I just brought some ripped up jeans and a button down and a sweatshirt,
- 37:12which is so great. Well, when she said, you know, I'll
- 37:15soon be in jeans and a gray sweatshirt, I mean, isn't that just
- 37:17all of us, Like that's what we ultimately all want to be wearing.
- 37:22And she looks better than anybody's ever done it in that absolutely And then the
- 37:27was it Si that said, you know, she's got the world's greatest closet,
- 37:30but it's filled with jeans and button don't look. If she knows what
- 37:34works, then give me a closet. If I found out that I looked
- 37:37like a nadonnas in an outfit, I would get one thousand versions of that
- 37:43outfit. And that's yeah, you'd be like Steve Jobs, you know,
- 37:46but just with what she does, Yes, you say, with cheetahs,
- 37:51and that's what you do, Amy, except with cheetahs cheetah wear all day,
- 37:57all night. Baby. Oh yeah, I just oh, but I
- 38:04skipped way over. You mentioned the lunch, but I totally skipped over that
- 38:07stupid comparison Brin's trying to make between the dinner that she bailed on and Jenna
- 38:15going home. Oh my god. And this is Brent. Brin's really the
- 38:20only one that's trying to push any kind of narrative or any kind of storyline,
- 38:24And for that I give her some points, you know, because she
- 38:29is the most probably charismatic of the bunch. That's gonna be a little bit
- 38:35of a spinning top that we kind of need. Yeah, but I don't
- 38:39know, I don't know if I love it. Nobody's really Yeah, did
- 38:45you see any equivalency there? Like I was like, this is not the
- 38:49same thing. You bailed on a dinner. You told them that you weren't
- 38:52available and then posted on social media and when someplace else with you know,
- 38:57like I completely agree with you. Was not the same thing at all.
- 39:00I think she was definitely reaching. You know, they were out to I
- 39:04don't know if it was breakfast or lunch. I couldn't keep track. But
- 39:08because apparently, according to probably Jessel or maybe it was Cy, like,
- 39:14Aaron's not feeding us, Aaron's not taking care of us, I'm starving.
- 39:17She didn't make this shashuka like it's like these poor guests the heat. I
- 39:23mean, anyway, but Brinn calling out Erin for having a double standard,
- 39:28and you had monogram pajamas, I mean, anytime you bring a monogram pajama,
- 39:32you know, as your weapon is part of your arsenal for your defense
- 39:38or argument. I'm gonna stand. I'm gonna stand, and I'm gonna clap.
- 39:43So that's that's what I'm here for. That's why. Like when I
- 39:45was watching this, I said, hey, you know what, She's trying
- 39:47to stir up a little bit of nothing. And I'm still here. I'm
- 39:51still here, and I'm enjoying it. I'm just really liking it because just
- 39:53taking them all in in small doses and just getting to know them, you
- 39:59know, one little baby step at a time, and Aaron being like,
- 40:02I don't know, I guess I just like Jenna Moore. Right. I
- 40:07did love that. Also, Aaron totally lied in that toast at that restaurant
- 40:14because she's like, I loved having you guys here. You don't she hates
- 40:21it? Yeah, well, Aaron saying, well she was. I was
- 40:25annoyed with her, but she apologized and we moved on and then we kind
- 40:30of pivot into the whole brin Oh. I love that. Brynn was like
- 40:36talking about dogs or whatever, and Buba kept being like, am I watching
- 40:40a French movie? Like I can't keep up? She kept saying, and
- 40:44then Jessel's like, well, you can't please everyone. And then Aaron's like,
- 40:47well, definitely not you. There's only two thring things or three things,
- 40:52or four things or five things. And then cy who you think that
- 40:54she's got her back because they seem a little tighter. She's like, and
- 40:57the lingerie you didn't like that, you said that you hated it like a
- 41:00Christmas rate. And then we got the flashback, and I gotta tell you
- 41:02it's really not the greatest piece of lagerie. I can't it's agree. Yeah,
- 41:07but that's like what you were saying earlier with the gift. You just
- 41:12go. You just she was storming around the house like a spoiled little teenager.
- 41:16Yes, and that was awful. It was. And and like you
- 41:22know, Jenna may not have loved that black slinky dress that she was wearing,
- 41:25but she put it on and she right, oh, that's a really
- 41:29good point, like own the lingerie. Jessel just put it on and you
- 41:35know, at least be polite, like I know it was. It was
- 41:38very like Ramona. I mean, actually no, Ramona would be funnier.
- 41:43Ramona would be like entertaining by not liking something, whereas Jessel just seems like
- 41:49a sour puss. But justice Ramona in terms of a total being a time
- 41:55for mom's medication. Okay, I get it. I'm turning into my parents
- 42:05where I start. Now, I'm texting them in predictive like aught like text
- 42:10like this and hold on, I sign it Amy. At the end,
- 42:14well, I don't sign I love dad. Yeah, not that I'm saying,
- 42:16hold on a second, hey dad, Comma, can you please make
- 42:21sure mom takes her to Thailan al right now? Please? Thank you,
- 42:28love Amy. She's she's like trying to get off the hyde your cotone already.
- 42:37I mean, she's like rock starring it up. It's great. Yeah,
- 42:43anyway, sorry, getting back you were saying, Jesse, I agree
- 42:45that Ramona would absolutely be equally as offensive, but she'd be funnier about it.
- 42:52Oh my god. So you'd be like, I can't believe she said
- 42:54that. That's awful, how funny. That's what we're missing. But Jessel
- 42:59came a little close at the at this breakfast or whatever it was, when
- 43:04they didn't get this shushuka. She was like, I was trying to be
- 43:06funny. What wasn't funny? And then uh, she says, well,
- 43:12Jenna, thank you for your thought. I would happily exchange it for something
- 43:15I like, which is a total Ramona line. But it's all in the
- 43:20delivery, isn't it true? Like this would be the greatest line. It
- 43:24would be putting it on T shirt, you know what, Jenna, And
- 43:30I thank you for your thought, the launche of rape, but you know
- 43:31what, I didn't like it, okay, and I would be happily I
- 43:35would happily exchange it for something I like. Okay, I mean we would
- 43:39be putting that on T shirts. Yeah, and then thank you everybody else
- 43:44like, I'm I'm not crazy, She's crazy, right, I said,
- 43:46I was sorry, Okay, you got me. Sam, I'm sorry,
- 43:49I'm sorry. Sorry, I don't like that. You're awful launch of right,
- 43:52you know that's what's you know, and when you it's hard to compare
- 43:55because you're like, well there are there's nobody like Ramona. You know,
- 43:59they're just they're ever will be and you can't you know, you can't put
- 44:01that on here. So that's why I'm saying we need to age this.
- 44:06These ladies like Foine Wine. I mean, I think we're gonna be I'm
- 44:08gonna be certainly bringing Ramona into this a lot, because you know it's going
- 44:15to be a slow burn. So she's gonna need to spin her delivery to
- 44:19where we're going to enjoy her being rude. If this is the way she's
- 44:22going to be. Maybe she was just having a bad weekend, you know,
- 44:25but if this is her personality, I'm going to need her to twirl
- 44:30into some you know, a little better delivery. Maybe take some lessons a
- 44:36twirl. Nod didn't see that one come in. You know what I thought
- 44:40was interesting though, too, Wait before I move on, you want to
- 44:43say something because oh no, maybe you were about to see what you thought
- 44:45was interesting was what I thought was interesting was Brind's scrolling through the nudes to
- 44:51catch a dude. I was like, God, bless you. I did
- 44:54like the idea of having a folder of great nuds. That was something I
- 45:00hadn't heard. Yes, did the stew crew mentioned that as a helpful travel
- 45:04to you know what? They did not mention that. They didn't say,
- 45:07you know, make sure you pack a carry on that's of a decent and
- 45:13smart size and also put all of your nudes in an album. They didn't
- 45:19say it Okay, what were you going to say? That? Was that
- 45:21what you were going to say was so interesting? You know it wasn't.
- 45:23But I'm so glad you circled back there because I love the juxtaposition between the
- 45:29two dating hacks, with Brent saying like, I keep an album with nudes
- 45:31and I scroll through them and zoom in them in at a party and next
- 45:35to a guy. And then UBA's like, I smile and ask for direction.
- 45:42Two very different angles, each to be respected. I suppose what are
- 45:46you zooming in on? Like? And if they're watching them in, what
- 45:52do you say? I like, do I have a weird mole there?
- 45:54Like I'm trying like what is your point? Like? Are you a dermatologist?
- 45:59Can I show you something? Like? I don't. If I saw
- 46:01someone doing that with their nudes, I wouldn't think it was sexy. I
- 46:06would think there was an issue. I think that would be very strange.
- 46:09Yes, but men aren't gonna be yeah men men women would be like that's
- 46:15weird. As Jenna said, there, you know, you know all the
- 46:19tricks, you know all the tricks. You're not gonna play the games,
- 46:22You're just gonna wear your jeans and you're gonna wear your button downs and you're
- 46:24gonna get right to it. Yeah. Also Jenna's black tie and pearl necklace.
- 46:30Look for her interviews. I'm oh again, I couldn't. I could
- 46:34not pull this off. I'm dead loving, dead for life, dead for
- 46:37life, love it, absolutely love. It might sound like I have a
- 46:40crush on Genaliance. We all do. I think I think I do too.
- 46:45I think I have a crush on Wanting to be generalized, yeah,
- 46:49it's more like it's so far from who I am as a person from head
- 46:54to toe, although I I you know, with regard to style, I'm
- 46:59not too far away from that's from her. Everyday were button downs and jeans,
- 47:04and I do typically like more understated things. So I like her style.
- 47:09But as far as the way I look, the way that I carry
- 47:13myself, you know, and the persona, I couldn't be further from it.
- 47:17So I love the idea of who she is. Just a great character,
- 47:22right, Yeah, we've just not had something like her on the show.
- 47:24And like the confidence is through the roof, but also so is her
- 47:30humility. So that's what it's like. We just don't see a lot of
- 47:34humility on Housewives without it getting totally just demolished. That is such a great
- 47:40observation and it really did show through too with this breakfast lunch thing San's shoe
- 47:46shoe, Shaka shoe, what is it again? Sure so of Chaka Khan
- 47:55that it did hurt her feelings about the laingerie and she was kind of like
- 48:00her head was sort of down and she was like, well, I mean,
- 48:02it wasn't nice. It wasn't didn't make me feel good. I didn't
- 48:06feel great or whatever, and that was it. Yeah, I am excited
- 48:10about the long term with these ladies, like I. It's not that I
- 48:15want to hurry along the process, but I would love to have just a
- 48:21small prediction into the future of like what what are we looking at in the
- 48:24future, Like are we all going to be going bonkers in two years and
- 48:29how good it is? Or you know, where will we be in a
- 48:32year? I don't know. I'm just that coming out of Scandabal, this
- 48:37is like the perfect anecdote. It's like it's just like the perfect sorbet.
- 48:44Yeah, we just need it, like it's a nice we need a minute,
- 48:46Yes, we need a minute. We need a minute, and it's
- 48:49still entertaining. I mean, I think like if I was like, I'm
- 48:51not looking forward to watching next week, that's when, you know. And
- 48:53sometimes I'm not looking forward to watching a lot of my Wives shows because for
- 49:00whatever, but I still love them, right, but I'm looking forward to
- 49:02seeing more. So that's that's the best sign. It does say a lot,
- 49:07and I think there are some moments of depth and speaking about Jessel and
- 49:13how we're like, oh, she's such a sour push, she's always complaining.
- 49:15And then you know about the lingerie, Uba says in her confessional,
- 49:19she says, I think it was a cry for help, you know,
- 49:22when she was talking about the lingerie, and I thought that is such a
- 49:25great point. I mean, talking about the IVF and it's just body image.
- 49:30She doesn't feel like she looks She's more looking at how she looks in
- 49:34it, not necessarily the piece of lingerie itself. That's how I started to
- 49:37look at it. But again, the way the length of that piece was
- 49:45a tough length, Like why was it cut to where it was hanging just
- 49:51beyond the knee. Yeah, well it just it's a weird cut. It's
- 49:53a weird cut, but it wasn't maybe made for her, you know,
- 49:58like lingerie. Right, it just was too big for her. It was
- 50:01too big, and you know, keep you keep going back to this.
- 50:05She could have been like I love it, except it's too big. It's
- 50:08too big, right, I mean like yeah, yeah, yeah, there's
- 50:12other ways I would have I would have I would have maybe belted it as
- 50:15a like you know, like I don't know, like I mean, if
- 50:20she's a stylist, if she's into fashion, like make it work, make
- 50:23it work. You know that's yes, accessorise, use your accessory wall wisely,
- 50:29as Tim Gunn would say, Yes, I did love accessise. I
- 50:34did love that Cy wore the Lingerie Boustier out that night. And Jenna's like,
- 50:37not only does she accept the gift, but she celebrates the gift.
- 50:40I mean she is she not the most quiet talker on housewives. You yeah,
- 50:45but then she like low key was like I would to fuck ah,
- 50:51it wasn't even that loads It's true. Yeah, she looks she's like,
- 50:58she looks so good. I mean, not only does she, it's like
- 51:02what audio the audio guys are losing their minds, like we need four mics
- 51:07on jenal ions and they're like, well, and her blouses are really loud,
- 51:14they're crispy, they're loud. We don't know what to do about it.
- 51:16Like how sweet was that bonfire? Like I had a totally new I
- 51:22already like CIGN brand, But when they were talking about their origin stories,
- 51:27I was like, yes, that felt very real. Oh I got a
- 51:31pain in my heart, you know, just about it just represents so many
- 51:37people, you know, I mean, people who are living like, you
- 51:39know, basically poverty level. And here she is just absolutely thriving in life.
- 51:45All of her dreams have basically come true. And it being born out
- 51:50of essentially what I loved was like kind of the manifestation thing that she just
- 51:52used to I used to daydream. I didn't know how I was going to
- 51:55get it. I just knew I was not going to settle for mediac Yeah,
- 52:00and it's the flip of I mean, I know Bethany kind of came
- 52:02from that background too, but like but no, nowhere near. I mean,
- 52:07because like her father was a horse trainer, like a horse racer,
- 52:12and he owned like the tracks. I mean, so, but I understand
- 52:15what you're saying that they that's the closest we've got well, because New York
- 52:21so typically is like I was just beamed down from the sky. Fucking rich.
- 52:27That's kind of like their mo And yes they may have married JP Morgan's
- 52:34son kind of thing, but like it, they all had money to get
- 52:37to those parties and to meet these people. So I love that. This
- 52:44is like actual New York stories. Finally, Brooklyn Baby, Yeah, oh
- 52:49god, just her moving how often she moved that you know, she was
- 52:52in Florida and then she moved every seven months until she was in high school.
- 52:58Yeah, can you even like, I can't comprehend how difficult that must
- 53:01be and how she you know, she basically says that that's why she's a
- 53:05chameleon and she can, you know, change it in every situation. She's
- 53:09really good at that. But that is really tough. I think the conversation
- 53:14starter was an absolute like it came. It was very organic, and that's
- 53:19what I loved about it. It wasn't like side tell us your story,
- 53:22you know what I mean, like, because we all knew we were going
- 53:25to get there at some point. Drink out of these chewed up straw cups
- 53:30for my kids. I got them for one dollar, showed up straw God
- 53:36bless, I've seen those in my friend's cupboards, and I'm like, oh,
- 53:39this is disgusted. That's really disgusting. I get that. Look,
- 53:44if they're just for the kids, that's great, but don't poor me anything.
- 53:49Oh god, no. I And by the way, darlings, if
- 53:52you come over and you're all welcome, I would never pour you a drink
- 53:59in my child's cup. I will pour you a drink in one of my
- 54:02husband's very tacky Marguerite deville. No, I'm kidding, or kiss shot glasses.
- 54:10I mean, like, I don't even mind drinking out of a kid's
- 54:15cup. I just don't want to see bite marks that are permanently have whitened
- 54:19the plastic. I don't want to see that. I don't want to,
- 54:22you know. I thought that and the fact that they were like, I
- 54:24love the dollar store. I love the dollar store, and Sid was like,
- 54:27well, when you grow up poor, you don't like the dollar store,
- 54:30and that just really it didn't level the playing field. That did the
- 54:35opposite of what that expression means, because I felt immediately like, on a
- 54:39personal level, I know that I have absolutely had the same perspective of a
- 54:45dollar store. Oh my gosh, it's so great, Like you can get
- 54:47all this stuff here, and it's like, well, it's not even a
- 54:51dollar, Like it's not even super cheap anymore. Because the way the dollar
- 54:54stores used to be, everything did used to be a dollar. Now they
- 54:58sell everything. It's like drug store. So you're buying stuff for fifteen ninety
- 55:01nine, you know, if whatever, and you're like you leave the dollar
- 55:05store for seventy bucks and you're like, what did I just get? And
- 55:07anyway, I digress. The point is I'm that you know person who's like,
- 55:15oh, it's charming, you know, and it's great because you get
- 55:19like these deals and you can get everything there. Well, it seems kitchy
- 55:23for anyone who didn't grow up very, very poor. And I felt like,
- 55:28dang, you know, I don't think that you. I don't think
- 55:30it's kitchy as much as just it might be kitchy to those gals, That's
- 55:35what I'm saying. But even now, like I'm looking for a deal,
- 55:39so and I don't have a house in the HA and a Brownstone in Brooklyn
- 55:46and or an apartment in Man. But right, so it's kitchy for them
- 55:51because they don't need to be there, you know. Yeah, But then
- 55:54like, yes, I get that but I'm also like, not the worst
- 55:58thing to save money. We've all seeing the Housewives hit the skids from not
- 56:01saving time. Well that's a fair point too. I mean, I guess
- 56:08for me in that moment, I kind of felt stupid, is what I'm
- 56:12going to say. Like, I felt like, oh, man, like
- 56:15I'm not wealthy, I'm not poor, you know. So I just thought,
- 56:21like, I wonder if I walk into a dollar store, people are
- 56:23looking at me like this isn't like fun times, you know, over here
- 56:28you're getting your like party supplies, and so I don't know. For a
- 56:31second, I just sort of kind of checked myself like am I I don't
- 56:35know? But then I'm like, well I can't afford a lot of stuff.
- 56:37That's why I go to the dollar store, you know. So I
- 56:39just had a little bit of a like uh moment, you know, Yeah,
- 56:45no, I get it, and Si it was a perfect opportunity for
- 56:49side to like voice what she's gone through, but I didn't. Right,
- 56:53my big takeaway wasn't so much who gets to shop there, as much as
- 56:59like, if you had had her experience, then you're going to see it
- 57:02a different way, you know what. She wouldn't want to save money,
- 57:09Like I would think that that would be something ingrained in her in terms of
- 57:15like it's probably a trigger. Yeah right, mm hmmm, that's interesting,
- 57:21very interesting. Yeah, good point. I started to get to that,
- 57:24you know, when you start to overthink something and you're like, it's me,
- 57:29Hey, I'm the problem. It's me. I'm like, am I
- 57:31the problem? I don't know, but anyway, I did really like that,
- 57:36and I liked that Brynn also had very similar you know, she would
- 57:39visualize her house with her grandmother and and they have these tough exteriors and that's
- 57:45why they have this you know, friendship and they have this in common.
- 57:47And that was definitely a good layer to see. Yes, for sure,
- 57:53I don't know is there anything else that we need to discuss. I'm kind
- 57:58of going through my note. I think we pretty much got through it before.
- 58:01We think we're good. I think it's time to see what's what's going
- 58:05on in Benton. I think it's I think you're right, which this recap
- 58:10never takes long, but we just need to celebrate it. I mean,
- 58:15we're in and we're out, and it's like you know, in this episode,
- 58:17it's they had to clean the rooms. At the motel, they met
- 58:21with the mayor. They were over at the animal shelter working on a dog
- 58:24run. They wonder if the current wives watch Crappy Lake as like the ghost
- 58:31of Christmas future, They're like, oh shit, is where this ghosts?
- 58:37Well? I think they may have thought of it that way when they heard
- 58:40about it, and not that a great way, but now once we've all
- 58:45seen it, it's just so darn good that I bet you all of them
- 58:49are like if only you know right? And I watched it back to back
- 58:53with this episode of saying and it is really a culture shift. Then go
- 59:00right into them cleaning out that room and trying to figure out the bad book
- 59:05spread. I mean, and you're right, that is a rough landing coming
- 59:07out of Oh god, now that you say that, oh my god,
- 59:12I did not even you're right, is a rough landing, Oh god.
- 59:15And the big reward is dairy Queen, Like okay, oh and so much
- 59:23dairy Queen. I was concerned especially. I mean, I'm glad that Luanne
- 59:29said she took her digest of enzymes before she went to the dairy Queen,
- 59:35but like you know, she doesn't have dairy. She seemed to be okay
- 59:38with just the one cone. But Sonia Morgan, Wow Morgan, I mean
- 59:45just jumped right in Darlings. Did Dairy Queen recently change their recipe? Because
- 59:52I had it this year for the first time in a couple of years.
- 59:55I did not like it. Oh La sucked. And maybe I had a
- 1:00:00bad Dairy Queen. But I don't know. If it's a franchise, then
- 1:00:05it's that's what it is. Yeah, But if you get someone that didn't
- 1:00:07mix it right like maybe, but I was just like it had a weird
- 1:00:13consistency and oh, no change it anyway at least? Oh my god.
- 1:00:19Well, I oh, I'm concerned. They don't have DQ in Los Angeles.
- 1:00:23Do they know I had well? I I don't know they do they.
- 1:00:30I don't think they do. Well. I had it in I had
- 1:00:32it in like Palm Desert. Oh, okay, that makes more sense.
- 1:00:37Here is a custard, you know, you know what I mean by custard,
- 1:00:39like the old custard. Yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am. Meadows
- 1:00:44Meadows is my favorite custard. Where is Meadows, Pennsylvania? Okay? Here
- 1:00:49in Michigan, I mean right outside like Saint Clair Shores. Here they have
- 1:00:52a place called Wally's and I never had it until last year. I've lived
- 1:00:59here my whole gd life. That once had I had a custard and it's
- 1:01:05a good thing. No, I don't even know what that is. And
- 1:01:08I'll tell you I'm not a huge ice cream person at all. In fact,
- 1:01:12if you if I'm at a birthday party and they say, do you
- 1:01:15want ice cream with your cake? I will always say no. I'm just
- 1:01:17not an ice cream person. I don't want ice I know. But let
- 1:01:22me talk to you about custard, because I have never had custard before,
- 1:01:28and it is not the same as ice cream. And my god, if
- 1:01:31I haven't found God themselves themselves, Oh, I am so good. When
- 1:01:39I had it last year for the first time, I was like, we
- 1:01:43got I gotta go back up there. I got it like every day it's
- 1:01:45like I gotta go. I gotta go back up there like I was.
- 1:01:46I was a fiend. You think it was I don't know, like festol,
- 1:01:52I got it. Well, it was first it was vanilla. Then
- 1:01:53I went to a twist. Oh yeah, okay, yeah, custards.
- 1:01:59I love custard, but I better get it. When I hear My number
- 1:02:01one most favorite ice cream is Jenny's ice cream. And I know that is
- 1:02:05a ridiculously priced. Oh yeah, that's a fancy pants that's like a Heather
- 1:02:09Do Grow ice cream. But Jenny's an Ohio girl, and she like does
- 1:02:15it right? Like good for her. It's Midwest really knows how to do
- 1:02:21that. Yes, anyway, we went off on it. I mean,
- 1:02:25we really did. But I think it's fair. I think it's a fair
- 1:02:29point. But I could tell you what I'll I could listen to Sonya order
- 1:02:35a DQ all day long because it's creaming over lou Chote, the subs,
- 1:02:45the fall it chocolate hot dip, also split We'll have fudge. Started with
- 1:03:00a strawberry shake, and I thought that was it? Did she start with
- 1:03:05a strawberry shake? Then they cut back and did exactly your impression. Oh
- 1:03:15is it chocolate and vanilla soft serve? Yeah, that's what it was.
- 1:03:17Oh my god. And then later she's in she's like, is amazing how
- 1:03:21fast the gas comes out? I know? And it did. Meanwhile,
- 1:03:30you're right. The juxtaposition from going out of the noon New York to that,
- 1:03:34You're right, God, it's actually quite genius. And also terrifying.
- 1:03:37So I don't know if that was what they're trying to do, but wow,
- 1:03:43I know, and I also I know we're skipping all over the place.
- 1:03:46But that little Charlie dog, I mean, oh, I know anyway,
- 1:03:53it's gonna bite you faith off. I mean, I love it.
- 1:03:58I love it. And then they got we got the playground. We got
- 1:04:01the playground. It's not the the playground. I don't think having a locked,
- 1:04:08tiny home in your playground is maybe the best thing for children to happen.
- 1:04:15Oh I did not think that through not to mention the adults that might
- 1:04:19hide inside. Yeah, you need to bust open that door, take the
- 1:04:23windows off. I just get rid of the whole thing. Get rid of
- 1:04:26the whole house. Get rid of the house. Because if I was a
- 1:04:29teen, I'd be in there smoking my boyfriend dubes. Yeah, I'd be
- 1:04:35hooking up left and right. I'd be the Hickey House house who knows the
- 1:04:45cool ones, the cool teens. I love that. Luanne was like,
- 1:04:48this is a totally snatched playground. I mean that's when you just laugh out
- 1:04:53loud. And then when the playground is being delivered, sonya seees of event.
- 1:05:00It was like delivery, and she's like, Hi, where's April.
- 1:05:03I like those shorts. It's the little things, you know. Oh my
- 1:05:11god. Yeah the ribbon cutting was great too. Oh but she's saying the
- 1:05:18same thing. That's very Luanne, that's very She's just like, well,
- 1:05:27I'm just getting choked up here because you know, every child should have a
- 1:05:31playground, and every playground should have a child. And I don't know what
- 1:05:35comes first, it's the chicken or the egg, or if it's the playground
- 1:05:39or the chick. But I do know one thing. When I was born
- 1:05:43and Massachusetts, the mayor, Oh whoa get to it? God, who
- 1:05:55let's go cut the rocket? Oh my god, it was there too.
- 1:06:00Oh yeah, Gena was there and uh Sophia Gina say anyway, okay,
- 1:06:14I just some other like there's not too much else I want to discuss,
- 1:06:17except for we have to talk about Sus. Yes, there's just not enough
- 1:06:28time to talk about Sus. I knew you would love sus as much as
- 1:06:30me, and I just think that you and I need to do a show
- 1:06:33with sus a show just called Sue's I mean Sue's wares. Yeah, I
- 1:06:41love you, Sue. Oh so many puns that's so oh, and the
- 1:06:46the pun Queen has entered the podcast. There she goes, it's the It's
- 1:06:53the Pun Cast with Emily Dereesis. She did all the employees. Their real
- 1:07:00hair was matched all the wig hair. I couldn't figure out if the employees
- 1:07:05were wearing the wigs because I was like, their hair. If they're wearing
- 1:07:09wigs, they're those wigs are better than the wigs they're selling. That was
- 1:07:14their real hair. I think, okay, because it looked real. But
- 1:07:16it looked like a really good wig too, a really good wig that's generous.
- 1:07:28There's a difference. See, Emily, I let me let me explain
- 1:07:32something. Let me explain something durling back in nineteen forty two. Now,
- 1:07:39you know the real hair wigs. You know, there's synthetic and then there's
- 1:07:41real hair wigs. So it's like, see what you're saying. They prought.
- 1:07:44They might have had the high end wigs there, they just weren't trying
- 1:07:46them on because they have the costume wigs and they've got the high end wigs,
- 1:07:49which are probably like four or five hundred dollars right now. I did
- 1:07:53not think that the wig lou walked out of there, with because she didn't
- 1:07:58pay because she didn't have a credit card. My god, I didn't like
- 1:08:01it. Oh that Terra. Did you see Sue's face? I mean,
- 1:08:05was that Sue? I don't even know if that was Sue, But whoever
- 1:08:10that was, she's her name is Sue? Thought it was. I thought
- 1:08:13it was like the mayor in the league. I wish that. I wish
- 1:08:15the mayor was there trying to I don't know, I don't remember who it
- 1:08:19was. The mayor turns out the mayor bible. It's winds there. Well,
- 1:08:28she's like, oh, darling, I don't have my garden yours.
- 1:08:30I'll come back. I promised, I promise. Oh right, do you
- 1:08:33know any statement necklaces? She can't. She bounced down of there with and
- 1:08:38it wasn't cheap. Well, how much there was cheap? Oh, it
- 1:08:42was like seventy five eighty bucks. They were yelling out prices and I was
- 1:08:45like, and that's when Sonya was like, they raise the prices just because
- 1:08:50we were in town. That happens all the time when I go to town.
- 1:08:54When when I got a slow down, and right now the price is
- 1:08:58putting a little stickers on them. Did you also hear Sonia's nod to Renna.
- 1:09:03Oh, Renna, Lusa Rena, Yes, Lusa, God bless you.
- 1:09:15She said it different a second time, and yeah she did. Yeah,
- 1:09:18but the Lusa Rena for Halloween, and I was like, who's that?
- 1:09:23And who is that? Them bouncing around and wigs and just laughing at
- 1:09:28each other's faces. You just can't get better than sus I mean, we're
- 1:09:33gonna have to really figure out what our favorite scene was by the end of
- 1:09:38this whole you know series. But at this point, I'm thinking you and
- 1:09:42I both might have our votes on Sues. So yeah, so Sue me
