- 1:07amazing gummies. In this lessons episode explore the eight forms of wealth beyond money and why true
- 1:12success isn't just financial. Learn how societal conditioning traps us in a narrow definition of
- 1:17wealth. Why billionaires can be cash rich but life poor and how redefining wealth through
- 1:21growth, wellness, relationships and purpose leads to a more fulfilling life.
- 1:36So you discuss eight forms of wealth. How many forms of wealth in 2024 does the average person have?
- 1:46Well what a great question I've never been asked that. I would say we all have a number of
- 1:54the forms of wealth. I think a truly beautiful life is when we're you know in hot pursuit of
- 2:01each of the eight forms of wealth. Whether it's wellness, whether it's adventure, whether it's
- 2:05senior work is a chance for mastery. Whether it's service or the most important forms of wealth.
- 2:12So I think all of us have a lot of that but I wrote the wealth money can't buy because society has
- 2:18given us this cultural hypnosis that we are wealthy when we have a lot of money.
- 2:26We are wealthy when we have a big house. We are wealthy when we have a huge stock portfolio.
- 2:32And I've mentored a lot of billionaires over the past 15 plus years and I can report with respect
- 2:40that a lot of them are cash rich but life poor. You find that there was a certain point,
- 2:47not even in the people that you've mentored. It's like I think that if you're talking about
- 2:51billionaires, they're very far along in their career. But when you look at you know the lessons
- 2:56that you've written about and you look back even in your life, was there a certain point in your
- 3:01life when there was a light bulb moment because you moved away from law at a relatively young age
- 3:07and you started writing and coaching and teaching. Was that the sort of the light bulb moment that
- 3:13even a career in law that could have paid significant amount of money? That was not the form of wealth
- 3:18that you wanted to pursue. Well it was that and it was also just being in the world and doing what
- 3:27the world says you should do to become successful makes me think I'm here Los Angeles. So I think
- 3:34Jim Carrey the Hollywood legend and he said I wish everyone could be rich and famous to realize
- 3:39it doesn't make a difference. And so I was on that hamster wheel as a lawyer and I had bought
- 3:48into the cultural programming a get more shiny toys etc etc and one day you wake up happy and
- 3:55that's success and when I got a better car or nicer house or made more financial resources
- 4:04it didn't change how I felt. It makes me think of in Zen proper wherever you go there you are
- 4:13wherever you go there you are. So we fall into this trap thinking okay if I could only reach
- 4:19this personal Mount Everest of more FSA fame fortune and applause. I would wake up and I feel
- 4:26fantastic and we miss out on JPM. Jory peace and freedom. Now I want to be really clear shot this
- 4:34model that the book is based around the eight forms of wealth. Money is one of the eight forms of
- 4:40wealth. So I'm not saying making money is not important it puts food on the sandwich able it
- 4:45allows us breed of we don't get back into a corner and have to do things we don't want to do.
- 4:50Money allows us to do great things for our loved ones. It's just one of the eight forms of wealth.
- 4:55They're having other essential forms that I believe a great human light is worth building around.
- 5:03So if you look at those let's let's listen up because this will paint the picture for all the
- 5:07discussions. So we have we have yes money which is what everybody feels is is what they're pursuing.
- 5:15I think a lot of us feel we're pursuing that we have growth wellness family craft community
- 5:21adventure and service and I think these are very interesting and obviously I would even love
- 5:27just very briefly before we go down the rabbit hole a little bit farther like in your own words
- 5:32what what are these different forms of wealth mean and yeah let's start there so people can frame it.
- 5:40Okay so all your viewers from around the world that's what the model books like
- 5:47quickly the first form of wealth growth. If someone is in hot pursuit of becoming their best cell
- 5:58someone is working each day quietly steadily your meditation visualization prayer reading
- 6:05generally to become more powerful stronger braver more authentic more alive than
- 6:13someone is in growth mode each day like so many of your viewers are that's a form of riches.
- 6:20The psychic wealth that comes to us from becoming more of ourselves is proud.
- 6:25Second form of wealth wellness.
- 6:28Someone once sent to me help us to crown on the well person's head that only the ill person can see.
- 6:37We have good health good energy longevity we had wealth money camp by three family.
- 6:46What's the point of living in a mansion being there all alone I tell the story in the book about
- 6:50one of my clients beautiful home biggest I've ever seen our collection car collection no one
- 6:58to share his life with. Fourth form of wealth craft whether you are a coder writer I know
- 7:05that teacher a billionaire street sweeper doing your work like Picasso painted gives great joy
- 7:13and happiness this form of wealth money and the relax like 20 chapters on how the billionaires do
- 7:19it for my intimate knowledge of their mindset habits ways of being six far more from all this community
- 7:26you become your conversations so it's all about stripping up the energy vampires to the importance
- 7:32and how to find people whose lives you want to be. Seven form of wealth adventure a lot of us are
- 7:38living the same year 80 times and calling it a life so like like there's 25 chapters in that
- 7:47section on how to inject awe and wonder which is a form of wealth wow my life is amazing it's
- 7:54magic that's a form well and then the final one is service and before I came on to your podcast I
- 8:02reread Mahatma Gandhi's beautiful why many said to lose yourself in the service of others is how
- 8:10you really find yourself a huge shout out to bank on yourself for supporting today's episode
- 8:14entrepreneurs here's the retirement secret that Wall Street doesn't want you to know while you
- 8:18are pouring everything into growing your business they want you gambling your future in their 401k
- 8:23casino with no guarantees as a business owner you already take enough risks why gamble with your
- 8:29retirement to it is time to discover the financial strategies smart entrepreneurs are using to protect
- 8:35their wealth bank on yourself is the proven approach that gives business owners what they need most
- 8:40certainty flexibility and control in their retirement unlike traditional retirement accounts
- 8:46bank on yourself gives you predictable guaranteed growth that isn't at the mercy of market crashes
- 8:51a liquid cash reserve you can tap any time to seize new business opportunities or whether
- 8:57downturns there's zero penalties or restrictions and tax free retirement income that shields your
- 9:02hard earned wealth from future tax hikes for entrepreneurs who understand the value of financial
- 9:07leverage here's the game changer when you access your money it continues growing as if you never
- 9:12touched it this means your capital works twice as hard just like you do you can get a free report
- 9:18that reveals how you can bank on yourself and enjoy tax free retirement income guaranteed growth
- 9:22and control of your money just go to bank on yourself dot com slash Scott and get your free
- 9:27report that's bank on yourself dot com slash Scott bank on yourself dot com slash Scott so we have
- 9:34we have these these aid versions of wealth and i think that people probably again to the first
- 9:39point they participate in some probably summer lacking um but societal pressure is very strong
- 9:47it's exceptionally strong we didn't just accidentally stumble into just pursuing money
- 9:53this is to keep up with the Jones's cost of living is exceptionally high so how do we how do we
- 9:59sort of recalibrate is this uh sort of a commentary on you know maslow's hierarchy of needs and
- 10:06maybe we think we need more than we actually do to fulfill that and we should be pursuing
- 10:11self-actualization versus just putting a roof over over a head but a roof now cost three four five
- 10:16million dollars uh you know whatever that is so how do we reframe how do we reprogram and this
- 10:23is something that obviously you teach and you probably help people at any level so there's not
- 10:28just when you're starting out you're talking about billionaires that need reprogramming so what
- 10:32is the what's the playbook the first step the first step is an idea as I do this podcast tourist
- 10:40guide everyone's going what are the techniques only the technique give it attack
- 10:47methodology without philosophy is an emptying victory so ideas are important we become so enamored
- 10:56with tactics and morning rude beings I teach them in the book there's hundreds of tools morning
- 11:01you kind of know you're kind of known for that's some morning routine literature guilty is charged
- 11:08so but how do we start the process of seeing our programming we start with the idea of oh maybe
- 11:17there are forms of wealth beyond money and with these ideas and then thoughtfulness and paying
- 11:24attention and then asking ourselves wow am I really experiencing all eight forms of wealth
- 11:33transformation lives in awareness as we don't more awareness of how we're living oh I'm in I'm
- 11:39caught up in the cultural hypnosis of chasing money and these mountain tops that in the end will
- 11:44lead to anything and then secondly how do you start there's a chapter in the book called
- 11:50know the penum principle pen of it deconstructs how we think the way we think it's an acronym P
- 11:59our parents E our environment N our nation A our associations and M our media and those five
- 12:08forces of penum Greek use I mean for example with our parents when we're growing up our parents
- 12:14we watch them they teach us how the world works they give us all these subtle cues here's
- 12:19what success looks like Scott and now we're 305 or 55 or 75 and we're still running those ancient
- 12:26programs even though they're not right for us so awareness is how we start we start thinking
- 12:33about these things and then tools MVP meditation visualization and prayer is just a fantastic tool
- 12:41to rewire the programming journaling this morning I was operating in late late journal and
- 12:48you know and so just journaling about what success looks like to you what is wealth to you what do
- 12:54you want to stand for what are your top five volumes those kinds of things it starts the rewiring
- 13:00process final thing I'd say is your social sir you're around people who are measuring success
- 13:06solely by financial well then you're going to stink like them to the power of emotional
- 13:10contagion so creating social circle of people who go oh money is one form of wealth but so is
- 13:16family so as well that's so is adventure so is service except thanks for tuning in if you found
