Speaker 1: incredible farm. And sitting between us right now is Farmer

Speaker 2: Tomorrow it'll be twenty one, twenty one years.
• 0:49
Speaker 1: He's going to be thirty two, which is amazing because
• 0:51
Speaker 1: I turned thirty four the next week after that. So
• 0:54
Speaker 1: we're just always celebrating birthdays. Or how about you, how
• 0:56
Speaker 1: about the fieldest one in the room always happened?
• 1:02
Speaker 4: Maybe I could give you guys some advice.
• 1:04
Speaker 1: Okay, so on with that in mind, something really interesting
• 1:09
Speaker 1: to note here is that Farmer Wants a Wife is
• 1:11
Speaker 1: the biggest dating show in the world. It has aired
• 1:15
Speaker 1: in thirty two countries and resulted in two hundred and
• 1:18
Speaker 1: twenty six marriages, and after I finished, it's going to
• 1:21
Speaker 1: be two hundred and twenty seven and five hundred and
• 1:23
Speaker 1: sixty five babies with four more on the way. Again,
• 1:27
Speaker 1: I'll pass on that. Of those, they must be doing
• 1:29
Speaker 1: something right. So let's got what do you say.
• 1:35
Speaker 2: The for those numbers are incredible and their bananas and
• 1:39
  Speaker 2: I don't there's a part of me that doesn't really
• 1:41
Speaker 2: believe them. I feel like maybe they're they've added those
• 1:44
Speaker 2: numbers to make it seem I iced to think that too. Right, Well,
• 1:48
Speaker 2: we'll get your roster. Yeah, I would like I would
• 1:51
Speaker 2: like name by name, experience by experience. So you were
• 1:55
Speaker 2: on last season, and first of all, like, did okay,
• 2:02
Speaker 2: did you really come on the show looking for a wife?
• 2:06
Speaker 4: Yeah? Absolutely, Well there's you know, being thirty two, I'm
• 2:10
Speaker 4: get in my thirties. Yeah, I would like to view
• 2:13
  Speaker 4: it somebody.
• 2:13
  Speaker 3: Sure.
• 2:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, And I you know, at the time they approached it.
• 2:16
Speaker 2: To choose, like, yeah, I want to be with someone,
• 2:19
Speaker 2: so I think I'm going to go on a reality
• 2:20
Speaker 2: show and I mean the same thing. Why why do
• 2:24
Speaker 2: you giving them a hard time? I'm just asking It
• 2:27
Speaker 2: just seems like because you're young, and that just seems
• 2:30
Speaker 2: like a like an interesting step to take.
• 2:33
Speaker 4: It was Yeah, I'm glad it did it. It wasn't
• 2:35
Speaker 4: something I sought out, they approached me.
• 2:38
Speaker 2: So you didn't consider other dating shows?
• 2:40
Speaker 4: No, I never thought I would do something like that
• 2:42
Speaker 4: in my life. You know, I don't really watch a
• 2:45
Speaker 4: lot of reality TV, but I would you know, seen
• 2:47
Speaker 4: clips and that not for me.
• 2:48
Speaker 2: So what did your family? What did your family say?
• 2:51
Speaker 4: They were so excited. My parents actually were fans of
• 2:53
Speaker 4: the show before I have ever been heard of it. Okay,
• 2:56
Speaker 4: so when I got reached out to, my whole family
• 2:58
Speaker 4: was very excited, forced me to do it.
• 3:01
Speaker 2: And and how how was that experience? You met someone
• 3:06
Speaker 2: on the show? Right? That was?
• 3:07
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's wild. I mean, yeah. One one of the
• 3:11
Speaker 4: things that I tell people about this show probably different
• 3:13
Speaker 4: than any others. There's a lot of things. But they
• 3:15
Speaker 4: film in your home. So we're here on Shawn's ranch today.
• 3:18
Speaker 4: I mean, the girls are living here, which is wild.
• 3:21
Speaker 4: Normally you fly off to some tropical location, which I
• 3:23
Speaker 4: thought it nice too, But it's weird to have like
• 3:27
Speaker 4: a huge film crew and all these women and everything
• 3:29
Speaker 4: in your own territory in your home. That's not okay.
• 3:33
Speaker 2: And this is a very interesting representation of a farm,
• 3:36
Speaker 2: like this is not this is pretty badass. Yeah, it's
• 3:40
Speaker 2: I could live here and I'm not a farmer at all.
• 3:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, I grew up in New England and this does
• 3:45
Speaker 1: not represent any kind of farm I.
• 3:47
Speaker 2: Grew up and this is gorgeous, but it's it's fabous.
• 3:50
Speaker 2: But I want to know.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: I want to get back to your family. So what
• 3:53
Speaker 1: kind of filmly did you grow up in? Like, when
• 3:55
Speaker 1: it came to your parents' relationship, what was your example
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: of marriage?
• 3:58
Speaker 2: What were you looking for?
• 4:00
Speaker 4: I couldn't have been any better, And I think in
• 4:01
Speaker 4: some ways when I was younger, I didn't realize how
• 4:03
Speaker 4: good I had it. My parents have been married about
• 4:05
Speaker 4: forty six years. My grandparents were married fifty something years.
• 4:08
Speaker 4: No pressure, Yeah, I know, right. I have three siblings
• 4:11
Speaker 4: that are all married with kids, and so you know
• 4:14
Speaker 4: in our family there's just there isn't any divorce or
• 4:17
Speaker 4: any of that. And so I had such good examples,
• 4:19
Speaker 4: but these days things are a little different out there,
• 4:22
Speaker 4: and so you know, it's.
• 4:24
Speaker 2: Well again, then let's circle back to and then you
• 4:27
Speaker 2: took the risk of coming and doing it here you
• 4:29
Speaker 2: were like this. Yeah, it's like the representation of relationships
• 4:34
Speaker 2: in my life has been pretty strong. Yeah, I'm going
• 4:36
Speaker 2: to come on a reality show I feel like this
• 4:39
Speaker 2: is going to be where I find my partner for life.
• 4:42
Speaker 4: I like to do things a little different.
• 4:43
Speaker 2: Do you believe in love att first sight?
• 4:45
Speaker 4: No, I don't think so. I think you can see
• 4:47
Speaker 4: someone and be pretty interested. I mean might change my mind,
• 4:53
Speaker 4: but yeah, it's a wild thing to do. But I
• 4:55
Speaker 4: will say I did my research on the show, and
• 4:57
Speaker 4: my parents had seen it, and this show is different
• 5:00
Speaker 4: than any other dating show. I think a lot of
• 5:03
Speaker 4: the you know, in my opinion, eighty five percent of
• 5:06
Speaker 4: the cast, whether it was Girls on My Farm or
• 5:08
Speaker 4: the other guys was, were all actually there for genuine reasons,
• 5:11
Speaker 4: which I didn't really expect. To me, There's to be
• 5:13
Speaker 4: a lot more of people there for the clout and
• 5:15
  Speaker 4: all that, but.
• 5:15
Speaker 2: You would assume that everybody's showing up. It's that part
• 5:18
Speaker 2: of like I want to be on a show.
• 5:19
Speaker 4: And to make a lot of the shows that we
• 5:22
Speaker 4: see are like that, right, and so this one's not
• 5:24
Speaker 4: that way. I think it's pretty genuine and it is
• 5:26
Speaker 4: pretty real and a lot of the cast, you know,
• 5:27
Speaker 4: I would say, majority are faith based people who really
• 5:31
Speaker 4: there to meet somebody. I mean, I was pretty shocked.
• 5:33
Speaker 4: I'd say all almost all of the girls that I
• 5:35
Speaker 4: had selected were very genuine.
• 5:38
Speaker 2: So what was your What was the trait?
• 5:40
Speaker 1: Obviously you're looking for a woman who you know wants
• 5:42
Speaker 1: to move here and be your wife and give you
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: twenty six children?
• 5:45
Speaker 2: But what was the trade thirty children?
• 5:50
Speaker 1: I was just accounting for, maybe, you know, the slow start.
• 5:54
Speaker 2: What's the trait, the underlying traite?
• 5:57
Speaker 1: Obviously you want pretty, you want to attract me, you
• 5:58
Speaker 1: want smart, you want somebody's be a great mom and
• 6:00
Speaker 1: all that. Now give me something else. What's that hidden trait,
• 6:04
Speaker 1: that hidden gem that you're looking for.
• 6:06
Speaker 4: I think in today's dating climate, it's pretty rough out there.
• 6:09
Speaker 4: There's the people's morals are just not what they used
• 6:13
Speaker 4: to be, and people are there for a lot of
• 6:14
Speaker 4: other reasons. I think it's just comes down to Loyalty
• 6:19
Speaker 4: is a big part of it, but just really how
• 6:23
Speaker 4: someone operates out other than being with me. It's not
• 6:26
Speaker 4: just about us, It's like, how are you as a
• 6:28
Speaker 4: person in general? Yeah? You know, what do you do
• 6:31
Speaker 4: and no one's looking?
• 6:32
Speaker 2: How's your sure that someone's always looking?
• 6:35
  Speaker 3: Usually?
• 6:35
Speaker 4: Yeah, I find out, well, especially when you're on a
• 6:39
Speaker 4: show like this, Yeah, everybody much?
• 6:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, Wow, what's your biggest turn off in dating. I'm
• 6:46
Speaker 1: writing a book here, I need to know.
• 6:49
  Speaker 4: Well, I don't know a lot of things. I think
• 6:51
Speaker 4: it's how you treat other people, because I've dated girls
• 6:53
Speaker 4: in the past that maybe to me they're great and
• 6:56
Speaker 4: it's all fun, but then you're kind of seeing how
• 6:57
Speaker 4: they're talking about their friends, or how they interact with
• 7:00
Speaker 4: family or a waiter or whatever it is. So you
• 7:02
Speaker 4: got to keep an eye out for that.
• 7:04
Speaker 2: Is that your biggest dick?
• 7:06
Speaker 4: I would say that's up there. Yeah, someone mistreating someone else.
• 7:09
  Speaker 4: It's not how I operate.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: So wow, hmmm, Well, now we have to get down
• 7:14
Speaker 1: to the So I'm I'm single and dating this.
• 7:16
Speaker 2: Guy, but I'm working on him. She's She's been trying
• 7:22
Speaker 2: to get drinks in me all morning and I'm like, no, So,
• 7:25
  Speaker 2: are you.
• 7:26
Speaker 1: Open to dating divorced women? Are you to dating older women?
• 7:29
Speaker 1: Tell me your I mean, you are just.
• 7:34
Speaker 2: On the couch and I could sit closer to you.
• 7:38
Speaker 4: Welcome, Let's make sure we get pretty even right now. Yeah,
• 7:42
Speaker 4: I have date dated someone in the past is divorced
• 7:45
Speaker 4: that had children already, So yeah, it would be open
• 7:47
Speaker 4: to it. You know, it just depends on the situation.
• 7:52
Speaker 2: You forgot the second part of the question. Is it
• 7:54
Speaker 2: older women? Oh, you don't have to answer that. You
• 7:58
  Speaker 2: don't have to answer that. I didn't say me. I'm
• 8:00
Speaker 2: just going to take the heat off of you right now.
• 8:02
Speaker 2: I want you to feel comfortable sitting on this couch. Okay?
• 8:07
Speaker 2: Can we so this? So this was brought to our
• 8:10
Speaker 2: attention earlier? Can we talk a little bit about Chelsea?
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: Is that?
• 8:14
  Speaker 2: Okay?
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: Sure?
• 8:16
Speaker 4: What do you want that?
• 8:17
Speaker 2: Sure? I was so that. So Chelsea is who you
• 8:21
Speaker 2: ended up with, right? And I heard recently that that
• 8:26
Speaker 2: you guys that you no longer follow her.
• 8:30
Speaker 1: You don't follow her on Instagram and she doesn't follow you,
• 8:32
Speaker 1: and there's no limit to the number of people you
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: can follow.
• 8:34
Speaker 2: So spill what happened.
• 8:35
Speaker 4: Yes, you know, in a nutshell, we did date for
• 8:40
Speaker 4: a while after the show, and uh, I think we
• 8:43
Speaker 4: liked each other. It was just it didn't pan out,
• 8:45
Speaker 4: and not for any particular reason. Friends, Oh, I would
• 8:50
Speaker 4: use that word. She's a She's a great person of nothing,
• 8:53
Speaker 4: not a single bad thing is Where is she from?
• 8:55
Speaker 4: She is from Texas? I thought so aware, ye small town?
• 8:59
Speaker 2: What do you mean you thought so?
• 9:00
Speaker 1: Because I get around Dallas you're not gonna believe this.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: I know her really, no, right, you tell.
• 9:09
Speaker 2: Me exactly she said, you're not going to believe.
• 9:11
Speaker 1: You just wanted to see you squirm and it worked.
• 9:14
Speaker 1: So are you into square dancing or line dancing? Because
• 9:17
Speaker 1: I had to learn it when I moved to Texas.
• 9:19
Speaker 4: No, I don't fall around with that stuff. You don't
• 9:20
Speaker 4: dance trying to get me to do that on the
• 9:22
Speaker 4: show actually one of the episodes, and I refused, you cannot.
• 9:25
Speaker 4: I'm more of a free dancer, you know, after like
• 9:27
Speaker 4: ten dranks, maybe I'll get not just kind of like in.
• 9:30
Speaker 2: A circle like it. Yeah, you and everybody moving into
• 9:34
  Speaker 2: kill over.
• 9:35
Speaker 4: Yeah. Not a big choreograph dancer.
• 9:38
  Speaker 2: All right.
• 9:39
Speaker 1: So I'm asking for a friend. If a woman is
• 9:42
Speaker 1: a bad kisser, is that a turn off or something
• 9:45
Speaker 1: you can work with?
• 9:46
Speaker 4: Oh boy, you know, it's a lot more about a
• 9:50
Speaker 4: lot of other things said.
• 9:51
Speaker 2: Get out of here, Come on now. No, kissing is
• 9:55
  Speaker 2: a big. Kissing is a.
• 9:56
Speaker 4: Big I think there's chemistry with somebody, you know, there is.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: There's no nothing that takes you out of a situation.
• 10:04
Speaker 2: Keep talking. Then bad kissing, Yeah, a bad kisser of course,
• 10:08
Speaker 2: because it pulls you completely. For me, it pulls you
• 10:11
Speaker 2: completely out of the moment. There have been times where
• 10:14
Speaker 2: I've thought, oh, this is really this could be something,
• 10:16
Speaker 2: and then the kiss was bad, and it's like breaks,
• 10:19
Speaker 2: what if she was great in bad? Doesn't it? Well?
• 10:21
Speaker 2: You don't want to This is iHeart, man, this is
• 10:26
Speaker 2: how we do it. I told you I'm tired. I am.
• 10:29
Speaker 2: I'm on the dating scene.
• 10:30
Speaker 1: I'm getting I'm using you guys to get all the
• 10:32
Speaker 1: information we Okay, yeah.
• 10:34
  Speaker 4: I'm just a small, humble farmer. I don't kiss and
• 10:38
  Speaker 4: tell Oh.
• 10:39
Speaker 2: Come on, now, he doesn't kiss and tell them. He
• 10:42
  Speaker 2: doesn't dance. I mean.
• 10:45
Speaker 4: You well, I didn't say did you grow avocados?
• 10:48
Speaker 2: Come on, there's gotta be more than that. Yeah, are
• 10:50
  Speaker 2: you dating qualities?
• 10:52
Speaker 4: I've dated around a little bit.
• 10:54
Speaker 1: Okay, are you like an English major? Just it's yes
• 10:57
Speaker 1: or no? Are you dating now?
• 10:59
  Speaker 4: I've been dating.
• 11:01
  Speaker 2: I have been.
• 11:04
Speaker 1: I like, let's use can use the subjunctive. I would
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: date if.
• 11:09
Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, there's this whole year has been a whirlwind,
• 11:12
Speaker 4: as you can imagine afterwards.
• 11:14
  Speaker 2: Jesus.
• 11:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, and so I'm just trying to make sure I'm
• 11:17
Speaker 4: in a good position to be with somebody else, because
• 11:19
Speaker 4: there's a lot Like one thing you don't realize maybe
• 11:22
Speaker 4: is there's a lot of stuff that comes along with
• 11:25
Speaker 4: being on a dating show.
• 11:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, for some reason, pressure all of a sudden. I'm
• 11:28
Speaker 2: sure when you go out, people go well that and.
• 11:31
Speaker 4: Then you know someone got to see you, you know,
• 11:33
Speaker 4: get a bunch of other people and said as their
• 11:35
Speaker 4: family and all that kind of stuff.
• 11:36
Speaker 2: So it could happen to anyone morally. How was that
• 11:39
Speaker 2: for you having so many women and going through that.
• 11:45
Speaker 2: I tried my best to dating them all at the
• 11:46
  Speaker 2: same time.
• 11:47
Speaker 4: Yeah, that was weird. It was harder than I thought
• 11:49
Speaker 4: because I think I didn't realize how real it was
• 11:52
Speaker 4: going to be. Yeah, so then a lot of people
• 11:54
Speaker 4: were really invested emotionally.
• 11:56
Speaker 2: So were you invested emotionally with more than one woman?
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: Uh?
• 12:00
  Speaker 4: Yeah, I think.
• 12:03
Speaker 2: I knew it was going to be Chelsea from the beginning.
• 12:05
Speaker 4: I don't know from the beginning. There was such a whirlwind.
• 12:08
Speaker 4: There's so much going on. I think probably halfway through
• 12:10
Speaker 4: I realized that that was going to be the case.
• 12:13
Speaker 2: Wow, And so how long does the season last?
• 12:15
Speaker 4: Like, how long are you filming?
• 12:17
  Speaker 2: Yeah?
• 12:17
Speaker 4: The filming was about five weeks. But it felt like
• 12:19
Speaker 4: six months. Yeah, it's an intense like it was. I
• 12:22
Speaker 4: think we had an intense five weeks. I think we
• 12:23
Speaker 4: had two days off in the five weeks. And you're
• 12:25
Speaker 4: filming all day nine am to ten pm sometimes.
• 12:27
Speaker 2: And are they picking all of the activities and the
• 12:29
Speaker 2: things that you do?
• 12:30
Speaker 4: And they let me have a lot of creative freedom
• 12:32
Speaker 4: with like dates and that kind of thing. So they
• 12:34
Speaker 4: would kind of like set things up around what I
• 12:36
Speaker 4: wanted to do or things I like to do, which
• 12:37
  Speaker 4: was pretty cool.
• 12:38
Speaker 2: That's great. Yeah, what was your best date? What were
• 12:42
Speaker 2: you doing? I mean.
• 12:44
Speaker 4: Best date? Are you doing good one?
• 12:48
Speaker 2: What was I we'll get your mind out of the
• 12:50
Speaker 2: gut or bots. You're the one that said it. It
• 12:53
Speaker 2: wasn't me, Like what.
• 12:55
  Speaker 3: Were you doing?
• 12:57
Speaker 2: You sort of sad? Why? Seeding a baby goat? Picking
• 13:02
Speaker 2: a nova? Connor specific?
• 13:04
Speaker 4: It was fun. It was really fun, like the group
• 13:06
Speaker 4: kind of dates with all the girls because we got
• 13:09
Speaker 4: like shut myself on the foot on that one. You
• 13:14
Speaker 4: know what I meant, I did? It was a blast.
• 13:17
Speaker 4: I mean we're out there on my pharm and these
• 13:19
Speaker 4: girls are all picking avocados.
• 13:20
Speaker 2: I was going to say my show group dates sucked.
• 13:22
Speaker 4: So yeah, that was a blast, and I really liked
• 13:24
Speaker 4: all the girls even besides, like in a dating way.
• 13:26
Speaker 4: It was fun having them all there. They were neat people.
• 13:29
Speaker 4: I'm friends with a lot of them still.
• 13:30
Speaker 1: So so what's the biggest misconception then about farmers from.
• 13:36
Speaker 4: Just farmers in general across across the board.
• 13:39
Speaker 1: I mean, I would say farmers that are in there,
• 13:40
Speaker 1: I would assume that, like a peanut farmer is very different.
• 13:44
  Speaker 4: There's a really there's a really big range. Like me
• 13:47
Speaker 4: and some of the guys got a lot of hate
• 13:48
Speaker 4: afterwards and like they're not a real farmer.
• 13:50
  Speaker 2: You're you're not growing correctly.
• 13:53
Speaker 4: Yeah, well, people think of a farmer and they think
• 13:55
Speaker 4: of a small town Midwest like hardworking guy out there
• 13:58
Speaker 4: on a tractor all day. And that is the case
• 14:00
Speaker 4: a lot of people. But like for us, we don't
• 14:02
Speaker 4: operate that way. We can't. We have to have labor
• 14:05
Speaker 4: crews and different piece it's more like management and stuff.
• 14:08
Speaker 2: Like getting at this place absolutely brings that tol like,
• 14:11
Speaker 2: oh this is there's not one guy running all of this.
• 14:14
Speaker 2: This is like you have a crew and he's making coffees.
• 14:17
  Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a big range, that's.
• 14:18
Speaker 2: What he does Now, I really love making coffee. You're
• 14:23
Speaker 2: all about the coffee and you're all about the vodkast.
• 14:25
Speaker 2: So between the two of us, listen, them's fighting words.
• 14:28
Speaker 2: You and I are going at.
• 14:28
Speaker 4: It, but just settle on an espresso marchini.
• 14:32
Speaker 1: Matt, Now you really do want an older woman because
• 14:35
Speaker 1: that's one of my drinks.
• 14:36
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 14:37
Speaker 1: I have a question that people ask me all the time.
• 14:39
Speaker 1: I was on Golden Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise. Did
• 14:42
Speaker 1: not find love on either one? Because what are you
• 14:45
Speaker 1: looking at? Slash Kathy and Matt walks off into the sunset. Hi, kids,
• 14:55
Speaker 1: I'm not coming home. I'm picking avocados in California. See
• 15:01
Speaker 1: it was coming from reality TV one way or the other.
• 15:04
  Speaker 1: That's that's why you're.
• 15:16
  Speaker 2: Okay.
• 15:16
Speaker 1: I want to know, seriously that what did you learn
• 15:18
Speaker 1: about yourself? I get asked this all the time. What
• 15:20
Speaker 1: did you learn about yourself? Did you change? It's like
• 15:24
Speaker 1: a multifaceted question. Do you think of yourself differently? All
• 15:27
  Speaker 1: those things?
• 15:27
  Speaker 2: Now?
• 15:28
Speaker 4: I don't think of myself differently at all. It's been
• 15:30
Speaker 4: a really amazing experience. I've made a lot of good
• 15:33
Speaker 4: friends out of it, which is really cool. I think
• 15:36
Speaker 4: I now, going through all this stuff and all this
• 15:40
Speaker 4: I'm just like, Okay, I know what i want. Like,
• 15:41
Speaker 4: I'm not gonna do you want?
• 15:43
Speaker 2: What do you want? Oh?
• 15:44
Speaker 4: I want to be now you know what I want
• 15:47
Speaker 4: to be with my wife, whoever that may be. But
• 15:50
Speaker 4: I am really looking at someone's morals at this point,
• 15:53
Speaker 4: not just you know, not just looks.
• 15:55
Speaker 2: The fun. The heat coming off of this end of
• 15:56
Speaker 2: the couch is like unbelievable. Just tell me, this is
• 16:00
Speaker 2: an air conditioned room.
• 16:01
Speaker 1: Let me just tell you something. I will get you back.
• 16:06
Speaker 1: This day is not over, No, it's not.
• 16:08
Speaker 2: It's gonna be a long day.
• 16:09
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 16:11
Speaker 1: So okay, so you really are seriously looking. I mean
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: because I'm a mother of three and you're a little
• 16:18
Speaker 1: younger than my youngest child. So I could adopt you
• 16:23
Speaker 1: or I could date you.
• 16:23
Speaker 4: Yeah, one of the two.
• 16:25
  Speaker 2: But but I.
• 16:26
Speaker 1: Would say, you know, thirty two, you could, you could,
• 16:29
Speaker 1: you could shop around for a while.
• 16:31
  Speaker 2: Good.
• 16:31
Speaker 4: I don't want to though. Yeah, I think after all
• 16:34
Speaker 4: this experience, there's a blast. Obviously getting attention from girls
• 16:38
Speaker 4: is the worst thing. But I'm really looking. I would
• 16:42
Speaker 4: get fooled before a lot when I was younger and
• 16:43
Speaker 4: looks and all this, you know, having fun and all that,
• 16:46
Speaker 4: but I think you come to realize like that, if
• 16:48
Speaker 4: you're not with someone who respects you and has the
• 16:52
Speaker 4: same morals and cares about your family or that, just
• 16:54
Speaker 4: it's just not gonna work. It might be fun for
• 16:56
Speaker 4: a little bit, but.
• 16:57
Speaker 2: Oh, I love I'm serious that.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: As a mom, I love hearing that because that's what
• 17:02
Speaker 1: you want for your children. You want them to realize
• 17:04
Speaker 1: that there's so much more. I was married almost forty
• 17:07
Speaker 1: six years before my husband passed away, and marriage is
• 17:11
Speaker 1: an easy and so I love hearing you say that.
• 17:13
  Speaker 4: You're no, I mean, it's there's gonna be a lot
• 17:16
Speaker 4: of tough stuff you go through no matter what. And
• 17:17
Speaker 4: so you don't want someone that's.
• 17:19
Speaker 2: I don't know, somebody's good looking at you. How tough
• 17:21
Speaker 2: can it be? Really?
• 17:22
Speaker 4: Well, it's it's not about that though, yeah, but yeah,
• 17:32
Speaker 4: just I'm looking way past all that stuff now.
• 17:34
Speaker 1: All right, So I have one more question for you,
• 17:37
Speaker 1: and then you're taking it away because I know you
• 17:39
Speaker 1: have a lot. What advice do you have for the
• 17:42
Speaker 1: farmers from you know, from Brayden and Sean and Brett
• 17:46
  Speaker 1: Season four Farmers.
• 17:47
Speaker 4: I'm excited for those guys. I got to talk to
• 17:49
Speaker 4: Sean quite a bit. He called me before filming a
• 17:52
Speaker 4: couple of times, yeah, during and after, and so I
• 17:56
Speaker 4: try to give him as much information as I could
• 17:58
Speaker 4: possibly advice that I had, but I would just say,
• 18:01
Speaker 4: you know, have fun with this. Is that once in
• 18:03
Speaker 4: a lifetime experience. Not a lot of people get to
• 18:05
  Speaker 4: do this.
• 18:05
Speaker 2: Had you ever met any of these guys before this, No,
• 18:08
Speaker 2: not at all. So they reached down and they were like, hey,
• 18:11
Speaker 2: you were on this show, Like we need just a
• 18:12
  Speaker 2: little inside information.
• 18:14
Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, to expect to man, it's crazy and
• 18:16
Speaker 4: they don't give you a lot of information going into it,
• 18:18
Speaker 4: and they give you an idea, but you don't know
• 18:19
Speaker 4: how it's going to be day to day, and so
• 18:22
Speaker 4: mostly just have fun with it. It's really easy to
• 18:24
Speaker 4: get like in your head and get like, you know,
• 18:26
Speaker 4: locked into this whole thing, you know, but just have fun.
• 18:29
Speaker 4: And I think that the real dating comes after the show,
• 18:33
Speaker 4: Like once you choose that girl, everything kind of fades
• 18:36
Speaker 4: and the cameras are gone.
• 18:37
Speaker 2: So how did it change for you?
• 18:39
  Speaker 4: Which which part?
• 18:40
Speaker 1: Well, when you say I agree with you, not that
• 18:43
Speaker 1: I would know. I've never been chosen, But this's my time's.
• 18:46
Speaker 2: Coming to get there. We'll get there.
• 18:49
Speaker 1: But seriously, I imagine being in that bubble. How does
• 18:53
Speaker 1: how is it so different when you come off the show?
• 18:56
Speaker 4: Well, it was wild. Like me and the other guys
• 18:58
Speaker 4: were traveling around the country journalist press, media stuff. We're
• 19:01
Speaker 4: going to these big events and there's girls that are
• 19:03
Speaker 4: chasing you around, asking for photos and a lot of stuff,
• 19:05
Speaker 4: and you know, you get kind of caught up in
• 19:06
Speaker 4: it for a second, like this is pretty fun. But
• 19:10
Speaker 4: besides all of that, that's just not gonna last. You know,
• 19:13
Speaker 4: that's a fun experience, but it's nothing to do with
• 19:14
Speaker 4: a real relationship. So right, I think, in my opinion,
• 19:19
Speaker 4: the show gets you to the point where you can
• 19:21
Speaker 4: learn enough about these girls where you can pick someone
• 19:24
Speaker 4: that you think it's going to work with, and then
• 19:26
Speaker 4: from there the real process starts. It takes time you start.
• 19:29
Speaker 2: Really dating, because you're not dating here, no.
• 19:31
Speaker 4: I mean you're getting to know somebody. But in five weeks,
• 19:34
Speaker 4: I mean, there's a lot more to learn. It takes time,
• 19:37
Speaker 4: you know what. I've just got a brilliant idea. I'm
• 19:39
Speaker 4: a producer at heart. When these guys they've chosen apparently.
• 19:44
Speaker 4: I mean, the season's going to start airing, why don't
• 19:46
Speaker 4: you find out who they didn't choose? You've got you
• 19:50
Speaker 4: have twenty seven No, okay, I just thought those are
• 19:54
Speaker 4: you know, try to be respectful here.
• 19:56
Speaker 2: No sappy seconds for this guy. There's something to that idea, though.
• 20:00
  Speaker 2: I think that's a good like. I think there's prime Yeah,
• 20:03
  Speaker 2: I think like there's a there's an after the show
• 20:06
Speaker 2: show kind of aspect to that. It could be fun.
• 20:09
Speaker 4: Yeah, there's definitely that could happen.
• 20:11
Speaker 2: How was it for you going from uh, being on
• 20:15
Speaker 2: a farm and having a very sort of simple life
• 20:18
Speaker 2: to all of a sudden being within this tornado? Because
• 20:22
Speaker 2: that's what these situations are. I mean, you you shoot
• 20:24
Speaker 2: this for five weeks and then you go back home,
• 20:27
Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden the season airs and
• 20:29
Speaker 2: you're back out doing all of this press and all
• 20:31
Speaker 2: of this stuff. It's just insane.
• 20:33
  Speaker 4: It's a roller coaster. I mean, you're living your own
• 20:34
Speaker 4: regular life at home, and then one day, like thirty
• 20:37
Speaker 4: people roll up in bands and all this equipment and
• 20:39
Speaker 4: all this stuff, and all of a sudden you're doing
• 20:41
Speaker 4: all this crazy stuff and then you're on the today show,
• 20:43
Speaker 4: and then you're flying around with all these Fox folks
• 20:46
Speaker 4: doing these different things, and it's it's you know, it's
• 20:49
Speaker 4: like a real high high. And then you come home
• 20:51
Speaker 4: the next day and then you're sitting there by yourself, right, yeah,
• 20:54
Speaker 4: what just happened? You're doing that kind of back and forth.
• 20:57
Speaker 2: Well, you're on the red carpet one day and you're
• 20:59
Speaker 2: shoveling barn the next.
• 21:00
Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, you know, it's really funny and funny story.
• 21:03
Speaker 4: So me and John from the show, somehow we worked
• 21:04
Speaker 4: our way onto the red carpet at the acmwards and
• 21:07
Speaker 4: we're getting our photos taken. We're next to like all
• 21:10
Speaker 4: these you know, Alan Jackson and all these like famous guys,
• 21:13
Speaker 4: and we're like pinching ourselves. And then we didn't get
• 21:16
Speaker 4: the right credentials for some reason, someone messed up or whatever.
• 21:18
Speaker 4: And then we leave the red carpet and they wouldn't
• 21:20
Speaker 4: even let us into like the event. They like to
• 21:22
Speaker 4: know who we were, and.
• 21:26
Speaker 2: We're in the high and the lowest lows.
• 21:30
Speaker 4: I swear, just on the red carpet with the guys performing.
• 21:32
Speaker 2: Please see the pictures that we were taking. You saw me? Yeah, yeah,
• 21:39
Speaker 2: I don't wear these boots just anywhere.
• 21:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so now that you are, now that you
• 21:44
Speaker 1: are becoming an older man at the ripe age of
• 21:48
Speaker 1: almost thirty two, godfriends, give me for saying this.
• 21:52
Speaker 2: What's the birthday plan? What are you doing?
• 21:55
Speaker 4: You know what I'm trying to do this year usually
• 21:56
Speaker 4: go out and throw a big party all stuff, but
• 21:58
Speaker 4: turning my address. Yeah you there tomorrow.
• 22:03
  Speaker 2: No, I.
• 22:05
Speaker 4: I have nine nieces and nephews and try to take
• 22:08
  Speaker 4: them all camping.
• 22:10
  Speaker 2: Seriously, that's cool, that's cool.
• 22:13
Speaker 4: That would be a cool memory.
• 22:14
Speaker 1: Women will love that, seriously, that you are take care of.
• 22:18
Speaker 2: Your men will love that. Like. That is not that
• 22:21
Speaker 2: he doesn't want man. No, I'm not saying because he
• 22:23
Speaker 2: wants men. I'm saying, like, that's a cool my my son,
• 22:26
Speaker 2: my who just turned twelve. That's like he wants to
• 22:29
Speaker 2: go camping to bring like three. It's a destination thing.
• 22:35
  Speaker 2: It's very It's an experience. I I that's cool.
• 22:38
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I've done all this really cool stuff,
• 22:40
Speaker 4: crazy experiences no one will ever get. In my opinion,
• 22:43
Speaker 4: that's I'd rather be doing that.
• 22:44
Speaker 2: You know, so you really are a family guy. Yeah,
• 22:47
Speaker 2: for sure. It's the simple things that Yeah, you're at
• 22:50
Speaker 2: the right place. You're on a farm.
• 22:52
Speaker 4: Yeah, I like it. I Sean will let me move in.
• 22:56
Speaker 2: That was amazing having you here. Thank you. Farmer Matt.
• 22:59
Speaker 2: How does that feel first name being farmer? Now? We
• 23:02
Speaker 2: talked about this before.
• 23:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what, I'll never live it down amongst
• 23:06
  Speaker 4: my family.
• 23:07
  Speaker 2: You've embraced it.
• 23:08
Speaker 4: I've embraced it. Yeah, I'll take it. We're happy to
• 23:11
  Speaker 4: be invited back.
• 23:12
Speaker 2: The day talking to some other farmers, some other people
• 23:14
  Speaker 2: from the show.
• 23:15
Speaker 1: We're going to talk with farmer Brett and Farmer Braden
• 23:18
Speaker 1: and farmer Sean, and we're gonna touch notes with them and.
• 23:22
Speaker 4: Don't take it easy on them, you know.
• 23:23
Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, to take it easy, not really.
• 23:27
Speaker 2: It'll be like putting wrestling and stuff like. It'll be
• 23:30
Speaker 2: all sorts of things.
• 23:31
Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, I haven't got to those guys too
• 23:33
Speaker 4: well yet, but they seem great and I'm excited for him.
• 23:35
Speaker 2: We are thrilled that you came to join on. So
• 23:37
  Speaker 2: it's a pleasure meeting you.
• 23:39
Speaker 1: And yet no, no, okay, so we're back Brian and
• 23:54
Speaker 1: Kathy sitting here with Brett, another farmer. We're so excited
• 23:58
Speaker 1: to get into it with you here, So I want
• 24:01
Speaker 1: the first question for you? What was it about the show
• 24:03
Speaker 1: that made you want to take the leap of faith?
• 24:06
Speaker 1: Compared to other dating shows that are out there.
• 24:09
Speaker 3: I would say the main thing about this show is
• 24:13
Speaker 3: that you have a major wholesome component to it. You know,
• 24:18
Speaker 3: it's not just about you know, being promiscuous or you know,
• 24:22
Speaker 3: seeing what you can do or how many times you
• 24:25
Speaker 3: can take your shirt off. This one's more so about
• 24:28
Speaker 3: you know, you're bringing people into your hometown. You're trying
• 24:32
Speaker 3: to find the right person that fits in with who
• 24:34
Speaker 3: you are as a person and going from there. So
• 24:38
Speaker 3: you know, I don't think I would have done any
• 24:40
Speaker 3: other show other than this one. Really.
• 24:43
Speaker 2: Wow, So Brat, you were a bull rider? Did you
• 24:45
Speaker 2: ever break any bones?
• 24:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, mostly concussions, but broke ribs TOI ligaments my my forearm,
• 24:55
Speaker 3: my wrist, and got my legs stepped on a lot.
• 24:58
Speaker 3: I'm about six inches two to to be a bull rider.
• 25:01
Speaker 1: Can I just tell you I wrote a mechanical bull
• 25:03
Speaker 1: once and that ended my bull riding career, just saying.
• 25:06
Speaker 3: It's not the riding drinks of falling off it.
• 25:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
• 25:12
Speaker 1: So I'm curious you mentioned finding the wholesome relationship that
• 25:17
Speaker 1: this is a wholesome show. So I'm guessing that you
• 25:20
Speaker 1: come from a wholesome family. What kind of wholesome family,
• 25:23
Speaker 1: what kind of household did you grow up? And tell
• 25:25
Speaker 1: me a little bit about it and your parents' relationship,
• 25:28
Speaker 1: because I'm guessing that helped inform what you were looking for.
• 25:30
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, well, one grew up in a Christian
• 25:34
Speaker 3: household and that's a big part of it. And then
• 25:36
Speaker 3: two you, I mean, I think for all of us,
• 25:40
Speaker 3: actually we have you kind of model what your parents
• 25:43
Speaker 3: do is, as you know, your path to a good relationship,
• 25:47
Speaker 3: especially if they have a good relationship. So for me,
• 25:51
Speaker 3: it was pretty much just seeing how my parents treated
• 25:55
Speaker 3: each other and how they have been in their marriage
• 25:57
Speaker 3: my whole life, and you kind of you kind of
• 25:59
Speaker 3: learned from them and use that to go on.
• 26:02
Speaker 2: Wow, true, that's true. How many times you feel like
• 26:05
Speaker 2: you've been like really in love? And I know love
• 26:11
Speaker 2: changes as you get older. So now at this point
• 26:13
Speaker 2: in life compared to in your twenties, how is it different?
• 26:18
Speaker 3: I mean, how many times have I actually been in it?
• 26:20
Speaker 3: Probably once one where I you know, I was like,
• 26:24
Speaker 3: you know, that's probably going to be it for me,
• 26:27
Speaker 3: and I was young. But the older you get, like
• 26:33
Speaker 3: you said, it changes and you kind of understand more
• 26:36
Speaker 3: about relationships and how they're supposed to feel. And it's
• 26:40
Speaker 3: not just what I call being love struck when everything's
• 26:43
Speaker 3: great at the moment and then it turns out not
• 26:46
Speaker 3: to be so great, like you think you're in love,
• 26:48
Speaker 3: but six months down the road, you know it changes.
• 26:52
Speaker 3: And so I when I was about my mid twenties,
• 26:54
Speaker 3: I had a strict three month th all. So after
• 26:57
Speaker 3: about three months is when you start seeing your sales
• 27:00
Speaker 3: come out and relationships. So I always gave it three
• 27:04
Speaker 3: minds before I decided if that's somebody I actually wanted
• 27:07
Speaker 3: a date, or if.
• 27:09
Speaker 2: I learned I learned recently that like that not learned recently,
• 27:14
Speaker 2: but I like I really understood the concept of it recently.
• 27:18
Speaker 2: People always talk about the the honeymoon phase in a relationship.
• 27:23
Speaker 2: I honestly think that the honeymoon phase is how long
• 27:27
Speaker 2: you can fake it, fake being the person that you
• 27:31
Speaker 2: think the other person wants to be with. But then
• 27:34
Speaker 2: after a while, of course, like you're gonna you're gonna
• 27:36
Speaker 2: get stressed out, You're gonna have a tough day that
• 27:39
Speaker 2: all of a sudden that mask comes off and then
• 27:41
Speaker 2: it's you, and then that honeymoon phase is over because
• 27:44
Speaker 2: now you guys are seeing who you truly are, and
• 27:47
Speaker 2: sometimes you don't like who you see. I think it's
• 27:49
Speaker 2: I think it's important to start off without that, like
• 27:53
Speaker 2: to just jump right in and be who you are. Yeah.
• 27:55
  Speaker 3: No, I mean I do too. And that's that's a
• 27:57
Speaker 3: big thing about this show that I went into it with.
• 28:02
Speaker 3: And I told the girls on the first day, I said,
• 28:05
Speaker 3: I don't care what you look like with makeup on.
• 28:07
Speaker 3: I don't care who you are when cameras are rolling.
• 28:09
Speaker 3: I was like, I want to see who you are
• 28:11
Speaker 3: when there is nobody around.
• 28:13
Speaker 2: Because that's what you're gonna be.
• 28:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, because that's what you're gonna get. And so for me,
• 28:18
Speaker 3: I like, I wanted to make that a point from
• 28:20
Speaker 3: the very beginning to where be yourself around me because
• 28:23
Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm gonna see who you are. We're around
• 28:28
Speaker 3: each other all day every day, so I'm going to
• 28:30
Speaker 3: figure it out eventually, See, it's better just to do
• 28:33
  Speaker 3: it now.
• 28:34
Speaker 1: And then it's kind of like the dating apps that
• 28:36
Speaker 1: I know a lot about. When you go on a
• 28:38
Speaker 1: day app and you go to meet a guy and
• 28:40
Speaker 1: they're like twenty years older, fifty pounds heavy. You like,
• 28:44
Speaker 1: did you think I wouldn't notice? Yeah?
• 28:46
Speaker 2: Well do you think I wouldn't meet you? Yeah? Exactly
• 28:50
  Speaker 2: who you are.
• 28:51
Speaker 1: And like somebody said here earlier, say what you mean,
• 28:54
Speaker 1: mean what you say, who you are, because that's ultimately
• 28:57
Speaker 1: what you're going to fall in my lasting man.
• 29:00
  Speaker 2: That's right?
• 29:02
  Speaker 3: Yeah, yourself.
• 29:04
Speaker 1: Okay, So those are really really important things for a relationship.
• 29:09
Speaker 1: And I admire you that your age, you have figured
• 29:12
Speaker 1: it out. I'm really impressed. But now I am from
• 29:17
Speaker 1: Texas and I do like tequila, so I know that
• 29:21
Speaker 1: you do own how'd you like to that transition? That
• 29:25
Speaker 1: a great segment. Okay, So I do love tequila, and
• 29:28
Speaker 1: there's nothing better than a tall tequila soda and a
• 29:31
Speaker 1: little bit of line. But you do own a tequila, Brandon.
• 29:34
Speaker 1: You did say you're going to send me a bottle? Right, Yeah,
• 29:37
Speaker 1: so's now been on the podcast, so it will happen.
• 29:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, you said it publicly, said it publicly. Yeah, I'll
• 29:44
Speaker 3: send you a couple of cases.
• 29:46
Speaker 2: A couple of cases.
• 29:48
Speaker 3: Wait, they're in the Selier category. It's not a Battle
• 29:50
Speaker 3: of tequila. It's a selser category what drink.
• 29:53
  Speaker 2: I don't care.
• 29:54
  Speaker 4: I'm in.
• 29:54
  Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
• 29:55
  Speaker 2: I'm in.
• 29:56
  Speaker 3: That's what can It's.
• 29:58
Speaker 2: Less for me to mix.
• 29:59
  Speaker 3: I love it.
• 29:59
Speaker 1: Okay, So here's my question what to go with that
• 30:05
Speaker 1: fabulous tequila soda selter? What is your favorite favorite romantic
• 30:11
Speaker 1: meal to eat while sipping on one of those selters.
• 30:15
Speaker 2: And he's cooking it?
• 30:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean a seltzer in particular.
• 30:21
  Speaker 2: I don't know, I'm just.
• 30:25
Speaker 3: Favorite meal would probably be.
• 30:29
  Speaker 4: I don't know.
• 30:30
Speaker 3: I love Italian food when I can get it. And
• 30:33
Speaker 3: if you have your favorite real Italian food, Like, what's
• 30:36
  Speaker 3: your favorite anything?
• 30:38
Speaker 2: Anything Italian is? Well, like there's chicken pacata.
• 30:41
Speaker 3: There's chicken Pacata's way up there.
• 30:44
Speaker 2: For look at that. Well, too bad, you're already taken
• 30:48
Speaker 2: or maybe already taken or could be Italian food. It's
• 30:53
Speaker 2: just so simple. Yeah, and it's so good even like
• 30:56
Speaker 2: the crappy Italian food I can still do deal with.
• 31:00
Speaker 3: I'm going to the redneck answer and said fried catfish.
• 31:04
Speaker 1: But can I just tell you Brett fried cat fits.
• 31:07
Speaker 1: It's not Italian, No, it's not, but it's southern. It's Okay,
• 31:12
Speaker 1: so your most romantic meal is Italian.
• 31:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, i'd say so. I'd say so will drinking tequila? Yeah,
• 31:19
  Speaker 3: why not?
• 31:19
  Speaker 2: I mean I agree, really I do.
• 31:22
Speaker 3: What's your what's your romantic meal?
• 31:25
  Speaker 2: Oh?
• 31:26
Speaker 1: If I'm having a romantic meal, it's going to start
• 31:28
Speaker 1: with oysters because they are afrodisia. Yeah, start with that,
• 31:32
Speaker 1: and then who cares what you wait.
• 31:36
Speaker 2: You can't eat them, Brian can't.
• 31:38
Speaker 3: So I'm not big on them either, do you like
• 31:41
Speaker 3: not after hearing about them just being sponges.
• 31:44
Speaker 2: I just don't know. It's there like slippery stuff.
• 31:47
  Speaker 1: Huh.
• 31:47
  Speaker 2: Well, and it's just it's like like it's a it's
• 31:51
Speaker 2: a weird, like you taste the ocean. It's a like bin.
• 31:54
Speaker 2: I know, I'm not thank you, thank you, Brett. I
• 31:58
Speaker 2: like that. I feel loves him. I'll watch or eat
• 32:01
Speaker 2: them all day long.
• 32:02
Speaker 1: So your true story here. I never had a muscle.
• 32:06
Speaker 1: My husband loved oysters, muscles, named some other things clams.
• 32:11
Speaker 1: I used to look at them the way you're talking
• 32:12
Speaker 1: like that's disgusting. It slippery, God knows words been. We're
• 32:17
Speaker 1: literally raftery died of well, you know, everything else gone
• 32:20
Speaker 1: to hell. Let's try a muscle and I love them.
• 32:25
Speaker 2: You take this thing out of losing a partner, you
• 32:28
Speaker 2: really do. Yeah, such a way with words. All right,
• 32:32
Speaker 2: So Bratt, real real quick. Last question. Yeah, you're the
• 32:35
Speaker 2: oldest farmer on the show. Have you ever gotten close
• 32:39
Speaker 2: to getting married before? I mean, what is it that
• 32:42
Speaker 2: makes you feel like you might be ready now?
• 32:47
Speaker 3: I mean the closest that I've gotten was when I
• 32:51
Speaker 3: was twenty twenty twenty one years old, and like I said,
• 32:56
Speaker 3: that's you know that really young would be doing something
• 32:59
  Speaker 3: like that. But I don't know, man, I don't settle,
• 33:03
Speaker 3: And uh, this isn't This wasn't me going in desperation
• 33:07
Speaker 3: trying to find a why or anything like that. It
• 33:09
Speaker 3: was more so of you know what, this is a
• 33:12
Speaker 3: good opportunity to meet some people that I'm never that
• 33:14
Speaker 3: I would have never met, and you know, if something
• 33:17
Speaker 3: great comes out of it, then it's a when. If
• 33:19
Speaker 3: something doesn't, I'm gonna go right back to doing what
• 33:21
  Speaker 3: I was doing.
• 33:22
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 33:23
Speaker 3: No loss, Yeah, there's no there's no way to lose here.
• 33:26
  Speaker 1: So you wait, you're saying you're a different I mean,
• 33:28
Speaker 1: obviously you are, but you're much more different now and
• 33:31
Speaker 1: looking for different things now. Than you were let's call
• 33:34
  Speaker 1: it twenty one.
• 33:35
Speaker 3: Yeah, because at twenty one, you're just looking for the
• 33:38
Speaker 3: hottest thing or you know, something that's fun at the time,
• 33:41
Speaker 3: and you don't really understand.
• 33:43
Speaker 2: We're back to but boots, we're back to that question.
• 33:46
Speaker 3: I mean, and that's part of it. And but you know,
• 33:50
Speaker 3: you don't really understand what you actually want because you
• 33:54
Speaker 3: change throughout your twenties, and like, who I was at
• 33:58
Speaker 3: twenty one and who I was and who I was
• 34:00
Speaker 3: at thirty is a completely different person and they're looking
• 34:03
Speaker 3: for completely different things. So and I think that's why
• 34:06
Speaker 3: a lot of people get in trouble nowadays, where they
• 34:08
Speaker 3: feel like they got to settle and jump on the
• 34:09
Speaker 3: marriage trend early and they end up getting divorced by
• 34:12
Speaker 3: twenty seven, twenty eight. And it's I mean, it's just
• 34:15
Speaker 3: because every it's the it's the shiny thing in front
• 34:18
  Speaker 3: of you, right.
• 34:19
Speaker 2: I jumped on it early too, because my father, by
• 34:22
Speaker 2: the time he was twenty four, he had me and
• 34:24
Speaker 2: he had married my mom, who already had three kids.
• 34:27
Speaker 2: It was like it was like, what I'm like, your
• 34:29
Speaker 2: father was twenty forty four, he married a woman that
• 34:32
Speaker 2: had two kids and had me.
• 34:34
Speaker 3: Yeah, and then my parents got married by when they
• 34:37
Speaker 3: were twenty one twenty three.
• 34:39
Speaker 2: I got married when I was when I was like
• 34:40
Speaker 2: twenty nine. I was like, I gotta get like, what
• 34:42
  Speaker 2: are you doing?
• 34:43
Speaker 3: Are you from around here?
• 34:45
Speaker 2: I'm from North Hollywood?
• 34:46
  Speaker 3: Okay?
• 34:46
  Speaker 2: Yeah?
• 34:47
Speaker 3: And it well so and I imagine I guess it's
• 34:50
Speaker 3: some more similar, but like in the South, like it's
• 34:53
Speaker 3: that's you know, one of the things you.
• 34:54
Speaker 2: Do, what you do?
• 34:56
Speaker 3: You get married young, have babies.
• 34:57
Speaker 1: And yeah, Brett, when I was twenty, yeah, ten days
• 35:01
Speaker 1: after I turned twenty, I got married and everybody and
• 35:04
Speaker 1: I'm from Massachusetts originally, and everybody thought I was pregnant,
• 35:08
Speaker 1: you know, shotgun ways it wasn't.
• 35:10
Speaker 2: I didn't have kids for eight and a half years.
• 35:11
  Speaker 2: But I think you're right.
• 35:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, and seeing the South, that would be a normal Maria,
• 35:16
Speaker 3: normal Marriag yes, you know. But for me, I'm just
• 35:18
Speaker 3: always the type not to settle for anything unless I'm
• 35:20
Speaker 3: one hundred percent sure about it.
• 35:22
  Speaker 2: So well, that's.
• 35:24
Speaker 3: Why I'm on a dating show.
• 35:25
  Speaker 2: That's why I'm on a dating show.
• 35:26
Speaker 1: And we are so glad that we've had a chance
• 35:28
Speaker 1: to chit chat with you today. You are an amazing man.
• 35:31
Speaker 1: We can't wait to see your season.
• 35:33
  Speaker 3: Appreciate it.
• 35:34
Speaker 1: We wish you all the best in your search for loves,
• 35:37
Speaker 1: and we hope Farmer finds his wife.
• 35:39
Speaker 3: Yeah wellngratulations, Yeah, I appreciate it.
• 35:42
Speaker 2: Guess yeah, thank you, thank you. Farmer Wants a Wife
• 35:45
