Bad Gimmicks, Better Merch Episode 1
This week, we take a hard (and honest) look at one of the most infamous WWF gimmicks ever — Akeem the African Dream. We break down how the character came to be, why it failed, and how it’s remembered today through a modern lens.
On the merch side, we shift gears to something done right as we review the Mattel Elite Piper’s Pit Roddy Piper figure. From presentation to accessories, we discuss whether this release lives up to one of wrestling’s most iconic segments — and if it belongs in your collection.
Awkward gimmicks, great figures, and plenty of banter — welcome to Bad Gimmicks & Better…
