A sixteen-thousand-pound steel beam from the World Trade Center’s South Tower is on a solemn 10,000-mile journey across America, commemorating 25 years since 9/11. Stopping in Los Angeles, New York FD honored LA’s first responders—especially those who battled deadly wildfires in early 2025—and remembered the L.A. crews who came to New York after 9/11 to aid in recovery.
