- 0:02Jasmine, oolong, green
- 0:05and white. Long ago, these four
- 0:08teas were skilfully brewed at the blissful brew.
- 0:11Then everything changed when the shop's
- 0:13popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:16All Mr. Okeron, the shop's owner and tea
- 0:19master, could do was to recruit four teenage
- 0:22orphans to learn his trade and staff his
- 0:25shop. A year has passed since the orphans were
- 0:27hired and although their skills have progressed, they
- 0:30still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:33But I believe that they have the potential to make the
- 0:36blissful brew the greatest tea shop in the
- 0:38world.
- 0:41The scene opens on all of you
- 0:44standing inside of a large room. Various,
- 0:47pews lining large, windows
- 0:50have sunlight shooting in through it, but it's kind of
- 0:53a deep orange sunlight as it's kind of nearing
- 0:56towards the afternoon. The late afternoon. Yes, the
- 0:59golden hour. Exactly.
- 1:01Your now dead friend Mr. Okaron
- 1:04lays motionless inside
- 1:07of a stone casket.
- 1:09And, the rest of you, as well as a number of community members,
- 1:12are all lining these benches that I previously
- 1:15mentioned. And a man at the front of the room
- 1:18is finishing up his long winded speech
- 1:21about Mr. M. Okaron and his service
- 1:24to the community and the amazing tea shop that he
- 1:27ran and just how generally nice of a guy
- 1:29that he was, how kind hearted he
- 1:32was. The doors of the
- 1:35area suddenly swing open, the big, like, double heavy
- 1:38double doors or whatever. And you all turn
- 1:41because it's quite loud. And there's Madame Yang standing
- 1:44there in the doorway and she
- 1:46says, is the.
- 1:48Ceremony not over yet?
- 1:52And turns to let the door close
- 1:55behind.
- 1:56I feel like Brock is feeling a bit remorseful in that,
- 1:59he felt he could know, helped Mr.
- 2:01Okeron as well, during the fight, but he was
- 2:04just too tunnel visioned on
- 2:07the coyote boars.
- 2:09what about Guohan? What's Guohan feeling
- 2:12right now?
- 2:13I guess he's feeling sort of regression, like
- 2:16he's closed off, feeling a bit
- 2:18lost.
- 2:19Okay, what is Bill Dor feeling right now?
- 2:22Like he's a failure.
- 2:24He swore to himself he wouldn't let something like this
- 2:27happen again, and
- 2:30now he's going very much on a slippery
- 2:33slope.
- 2:34what about Mika?
- 2:36I would say that she is definitely feeling
- 2:39different emotions on the inside than she does on the outside.
- 2:42She was probably closer to Mr. Oprah than she let
- 2:45people believe. But I would say
- 2:48on the outside she's more stoic. And then
- 2:51on the inside, I would say she's pretty much just like in
- 2:53denial of the whole situation.
- 2:56And a man approaches you and he begins to tell
- 2:59you or talk to you all. And he says, my name is
- 3:02Mr. Wu and, I represent a
- 3:05government office that's responsible for items to
- 3:07be passed on to others when
- 3:10someone passes away. You four were the closest
- 3:13to Mr. Okaran. given that he
- 3:16owned a tea shop and had a number of tools
- 3:19and utensils and et cetera, as well as, of course,
- 3:22the building space itself, it
- 3:25seems that it's a little bit up in the air
- 3:28as far as, who it's supposed to go to.
- 3:31unfortunately, we couldn't find a will.
- 3:34Legally speaking, I can't
- 3:37technically hand off anything to you.
- 3:40That was his.
- 3:42Well, what's going to happen to the tea shop? The
- 3:45lady over there?
- 3:46And he points over to Madame Yang and he
- 3:49says, she was inquiring about it as well. It seems
- 3:52that she has some interest in possibly
- 3:54purchasing the building
- 3:57itself, the tea shop and the various resources
- 4:00within. So, again, I just wanted to let you all
- 4:02know, if a document isn't presented by the end of the.
- 4:05Week, one week's time, eh? I suppose I'll
- 4:08be seeing you all then.
- 4:11She turns and starts to head towards the door as
- 4:14well.
- 4:14Yeah, we can't. Mavie, yang, take over.
- 4:17You hear a voice from the darkness. The
- 4:19darkest corner of this small temple area.
- 4:22Go over
- 4:25here.
- 4:26Sure enough, there's a man in a dark
- 4:29cloak mysteriously sitting in this
- 4:31dark corner, almost invisible. he takes off
- 4:34his hood. He's got long,
- 4:37dark brown hair, very masculine
- 4:40features.
- 4:40He says, my name's
- 4:43otra, but most.
- 4:44People just call me Strider.
- 4:46I was, actually a good friend of
- 4:49ogrons.
- 4:50He, wanted me to give you this. He gives you
- 4:53a letter. It's like a sealed envelope
- 4:55with, like, a wax Seal on the back. It's just a
- 4:58letter to all of you. but it basically just talks about
- 5:01how much he cared about all of you. He felt that there was something
- 5:04that might happen that might cause him harm
- 5:07or possibly death. And he wanted to make sure.
- 5:10He was scared to keep the will in the house
- 5:13or in the tea shop. And so he's hidden
- 5:16it and he wants you all to find
- 5:19it. Who's Bill?
- 5:22This specific one is for you. Strider
- 5:25leaves.
- 5:26Oh, I can read it while we walk. I guess back to the
- 5:28shop. It says,
- 5:31bill, my boy, you're tried and true. I
- 5:34now bestow a gift to you. When on the
- 5:37seas, a ship we met and a pirate ship we were
- 5:39beset. You and I were taken captive on an
- 5:42island where we adapted, although in danger we
- 5:45resided and quietly our time abided
- 5:48until the moment of opportunity. You and I escaped
- 5:51in unity. Return yourself to island shores and
- 5:54the next clue will soon be yours. Return to
- 5:57the past. Look through the back. Use the flame in your heart
- 6:00to reveal the map. And once you arrive,
- 6:03don't forget about the tea bill. You remember where you were
- 6:06on the boat with me. You created a combo so strange in
- 6:09my mind it did in print. So look to your creation of
- 6:12mango and mango.
- 6:14And that's where it stopped.
- 6:16So you head back to the tea shop.
- 6:19You guys should know the full story to be able to help me
- 6:22with this because I'm completely lost, honestly.
- 6:25Well, we were captured by pirates.
- 6:28Mr. Okran and I were when we first met. It
- 6:31was a weird trade deal is what happened to us.
- 6:34It was some fire nation general that
- 6:37organized the whole trade deal as well.
- 6:40We got put on a pirate ship.
- 6:41And then we helped the pirate crew for a day. Mr.
- 6:44Okra made them a bunch of tea and I swabbed the deck and also
- 6:47knocked out a guy with a bow staff, so. Always
- 6:50been good at that, I guess. and then we escaped on a
- 6:53dinghy with a bunch of his tea
- 6:56and we landed on the shores not
- 6:59too far from here. In that dinghy. I don't know.
- 7:02Just reading this, it says, return yourself to island
- 7:04Shores and the next clue, still New York.
- 7:07So part of me thinks that if.
- 7:09We went back to the exact same spot where know washed
- 7:12up, that might.
- 7:14Be where we go.
- 7:15I'm going to hand it to Guohan
- 7:18the riddle.
- 7:19And as you go to hand
- 7:21Guohan the piece of paper, you
- 7:24can kind of feel a little bit of the heat from the candle in the middle
- 7:27of the table that's giving you guys light. And
- 7:30as the map passes by and that heat kind
- 7:33of emanates towards it, you notice
- 7:35some sort of scribbles on the back of
- 7:38the paper. You bring it a little bit closer to the
- 7:41candlelight and you realize that on the back of this
- 7:44page is a map leading to an island.
- 7:47Island known as Whale Tail island.
- 7:50So that's where this map seems to be
- 7:52leading you.
- 7:53Should we head down to that shore, see if we can find anything?
- 7:55Do we have enough time?
- 7:57Looks like we're going on a trip, guys. I gotta go pack a
- 8:00bag for Dilbert.
- 8:01You wake up the next morning. To some extent, this
- 8:03has reignited some of the fire that might
- 8:06have been lost by, the depressing
- 8:09circumstances. You head out and one place
- 8:12that you know of in town that offers
- 8:15sort of travel assistance. It's like a travel
- 8:18agency. And you're like, okay, well
- 8:21I'm not necessarily going on a paid vacation per se,
- 8:24but I'll go check it out and see if they can give me information.
- 8:26Maybe you arrive and there's
- 8:29the lady at the front desk. There's somebody
- 8:32talking to her. And rather than her greeting you,
- 8:35this person just turns around. It's an old man, he's
- 8:38crooked almost at a 90 degree angle of his
- 8:40back. turns around and sees you all.
- 8:43And he says where are
- 8:46you three go for going?
- 8:49Where are you headed? Are you going on vacation?
- 8:54Whaletail island.
- 8:56We don't really offer much of,
- 8:58Water travel here at our agency but we
- 9:01could get you across the mountains to the shores.
- 9:04It's right over by Shin village.
- 9:05That's where you want to go.
- 9:06How long does a trip like that take us?
- 9:08Oh, if you go my way, usually it only takes
- 9:11about a day.
- 9:12We only have six. And can you start
- 9:15taking us there now?
- 9:16Yeah, of course I can.
- 9:17I'm ready to go.
- 9:18The name's Rooney. All right, on our
- 9:21way.
- 9:22And he starts to lead you guys through. And it's a pretty
- 9:24straightforward shot to the mountains themselves.
- 9:27It's pretty uneventful until about like four
- 9:30or 5 hours through. You guys, start to
- 9:33notice that there's like a pathway that started to become
- 9:36carved out into the mountains.
- 9:38Why aren't we walking on this path?
- 9:41Why are you taking us over here?
- 9:42Oh yes, it's under
- 9:45construction right now. See, just up ahead.
- 9:47And he points and you can see some dust that
- 9:50seems to be rising like a dust cloud.
- 9:52They're working on a way through the mountain
- 9:55but it's not done yet.
- 9:57You do eventually come up to where the cloud
- 10:00is kind of rising from and sure enough, there's a
- 10:02bunch of what look like earthbenders that seem to be
- 10:05like stomping the ground and moving rocks
- 10:08and stuff out of the way as they're making this pathway
- 10:11through. As you guys are
- 10:14leaving the scene of the construction work
- 10:17in your wake, you suddenly hear
- 10:20a huge explosive
- 10:22sound
- 10:25and you can feel the rocks and such around you,
- 10:28rumbling and shouts and screams coming from over in
- 10:31the construction area.
- 10:32My fox dog starts running towards it.
- 10:34All right, I'll run after it. No one else will.
- 10:37No, I'm running after.
- 10:39As you guys make your way up towards the
- 10:41construction site, you see before to you
- 10:44a giant collection of
- 10:47rocks that seems to all be combined to
- 10:50itself as if a humanoid shape
- 10:53with two arms and two legs, no real
- 10:56head per se. but on the top of where the
- 10:58head would be is a small red gem that glints
- 11:01inside the sunlight. And as, Rooney
- 11:04approaches, and you guys are all seeing know happening below
- 11:07you in the ravine where they were digging out, he says,
- 11:10oh, my gosh.
- 11:11It'S a mountain spirit.
- 11:14As it starts to just smash, smash,
- 11:17smash through this construction zone. Obviously
- 11:19angry for some reason.
- 11:21I'll hop down and try and help the construction
- 11:24workers.
- 11:25All right, sounds good.
- 11:27Brock's not an observed type of guy.
- 11:29You're in the scene, you're standing there.
- 11:32Some of the, dust cloud has kind of, like, overtaken you.
- 11:35You cough a little bit as you wave a little bit out of your face.
- 11:38So I guess as I get down there, I'll try and
- 11:41help as many of the people that the earth
- 11:44spirit is not attacking.
- 11:45Zeke is just watching. Bill's just watching.
- 11:47Same here.
- 11:48All right.
- 11:49Guohan's gonna just move
- 11:51to save cover, make sure there's nothing
- 11:54above him that's gonna ruin him.
- 11:56So back over to Connor. Connor, you've pulled some people
- 11:59out of the way, gotten them kind of a safe distance away. There's
- 12:02still maybe like, three workers that are, like,
- 12:05battling this thing actively.
- 12:07I guess I'd have to just go and help the three workers
- 12:10as well.
- 12:10All right.
- 12:11I mean, I can't just leave them hanging.
- 12:12All right.
- 12:12So I will ask what is my best way in?
- 12:15As in, like, into this fight square?
- 12:17Yeah. So you can kind of tell there's, like, a
- 12:20direction to its movements. So
- 12:23that suggests that it has a front and that's where it's attacking
- 12:26at. and it has a back and it doesn't seem
- 12:29to be aware, even though it doesn't have, like, a head and eyes,
- 12:32it doesn't seem to be aware of what's behind it. So
- 12:35if you were able to get behind it, you'd probably be in
- 12:38a better position.
- 12:39Yeah, I guess. What can I use to inflict the most
- 12:41damage?
- 12:42Something about that gem that's
- 12:45sitting kind of almost on top of where its head would
- 12:48be seems significant to you.
- 12:51The fact that it's so contrasted and so different
- 12:54from the rest of its just rock body. It really feels
- 12:57like that holds some sort of significance
- 12:59over this creature or spirit or
- 13:02whatever it seems to be.
- 13:03So what I'm going to try and do is I'm going to try and climb up some
- 13:06piles of rocks behind it. I'm going to try and jump on
- 13:09top of it, and, I will try and
- 13:12strike the gem, and I will
- 13:15try and dislodge it.
- 13:16So you use that to get yourself on top of this rock
- 13:19monster. it definitely takes notice that you're there.
- 13:22Like, it can feel you on it. And so it kind of, like, is
- 13:25confused. It's moving around, but you've managed to land
- 13:28on it in such a way that you get a nice, stable position. It's
- 13:31a big creature, so it's definitely enough of a platform
- 13:34for you to steady yourself on.
- 13:36I will get on top of this thing.
- 13:38Okay.
- 13:38And it's squirming around, trying to shake me
- 13:41off, and I'm just starting to wail away at
- 13:43the gem on top of its head.
- 13:45Okay.
- 13:45Or on top of its body.
- 13:47It's freaking out. It's nervous, and it's becoming
- 13:50less and less, you could almost say connected. You're
- 13:52actually watching as you're slowly pulling this gem
- 13:55out. You can see some of the chunks of
- 13:58rock actually falling from its body. Yeah.
- 14:01The rest of you three are seeing him, like, riding
- 14:04cowboy on top of this rock monster.
- 14:06I want to assess the situation. I think
- 14:09Brock's gonna die.
- 14:12What here can I use to help
- 14:14Brock? I'm gonna say in. So what's my best
- 14:17way down the side of this mountain?
- 14:19you do see a fairly thin
- 14:22but flat rock that you almost wonder if you could
- 14:25sled down the side of this hill safely and
- 14:28quickly. additionally, there are a
- 14:31number of sort of outcroppings of
- 14:33rock that if you wanted to, you might break into
- 14:36chunks. And using your earthbending, maybe kick
- 14:39or throw towards the monster to give a
- 14:41distraction while he tries to rip
- 14:44this gem out of its head, I will.
- 14:46Attempt to destroy this gem.
- 14:48You raise your hand above your head. You come down hard,
- 14:51as, earthbenders do. They don't fear the
- 14:54rock as it's coming towards them, per se. So you feel very
- 14:57confident as you come down. You break the rock. As
- 15:00your fist makes contact with it, the gem
- 15:02itself breaks free, from the
- 15:05creature's head. It flies up. As it
- 15:08does, the creature starts to kind of, like, wobble and so
- 15:11on.
- 15:11I'm going to look at those rock
- 15:13colonnades or whatever on the side of the
- 15:16hill. I'm going to attempt to take
- 15:19out the small piece of stone that's holding
- 15:22the pillar up, or get, like, a small rock, like,
- 15:25get momentum, to roll into that and to
- 15:28cause some.
- 15:28Sort of avalanche, you rush over to one of these
- 15:30outcroppings that sort of angled at just the
- 15:33right spot on the top of this hill,
- 15:36that you're sort of on, and you break out a chunk of it,
- 15:39allowing the brock to tumble forward and start
- 15:42rolling down the hill. As you mentioned, Brock, you
- 15:45have just ripped the gemstone out of its
- 15:48head. And as it wobbles and starts to destabilize,
- 15:51you leap off this beast. You've got the giant gem in
- 15:54your hand, and, the beast is down. As
- 15:57it hits the ground, all the rocks that make up
- 15:59this spirit, as they said, just sort of
- 16:02start to roll away.
- 16:04Oh, I think I might have seen or heard
- 16:07stories about something like this.
- 16:09This is just a theory, mind you. But I think what
- 16:12you've got there is known as
- 16:15the heart of the mountain.
- 16:18Some say that the heart of the mountain homes
- 16:21a guardian spirit, and each mountain
- 16:24has one.
- 16:25Well, if we're all cursed about
- 16:28this, I'll take the blame for that. I will
- 16:31say a big ol oops on that.
- 16:33So you guys all get a good night's rest. you, wake
- 16:36up the next morning. And so you guys continue
- 16:39on through the mountain range. And
- 16:42slowly but surely off in the distance,
- 16:45you can see the outskirts of
- 16:48chin village. I'm going to just head out. So, good
- 16:51luck to you guys.
- 16:52Bye bye.
- 16:54And he turns
- 16:57180 degrees to walk his 90
- 16:59degrees self back through the mountains.
- 17:03What if we start by checking where
- 17:06me and Mr. Okeron first showed
- 17:09up here on the boat? And if we can't find anything there, then
- 17:12we can go talk to pirates, the. Sorry, rather,
- 17:15the traders, around here, the ship
- 17:17captains, and get us a boat.
- 17:20you guys make your way to the beaches
- 17:22of chin village. I, mean, you look at the
- 17:25map again, and it's not showing any
- 17:28kind of x or anything on the beaches of chin
- 17:31village. It does cross through chin village like the
- 17:34dotted line, but the x is at Whaletail
- 17:36island. And eventually you approach, what
- 17:39seems to be a massive festival going on. And
- 17:42people are celebrating, and there's
- 17:45little shop vendors that are
- 17:47selling. They're selling all sorts of like, they look like
- 17:50sea serpent masks, kind of like different
- 17:53colors and such like that. There's people selling food.
- 17:56There's people selling what look like
- 18:00fancy wood blocks that kind of have, like, a
- 18:03rounded shape to it. There's a lot of people wearing green,
- 18:06and there's a lot of people wearing red. And you notice that
- 18:08people wearing green seem to be avoiding
- 18:11or maybe in a small one person to one person
- 18:14disagreement with somebody wearing red. There's like a
- 18:17big podium or whatever. there's like a big
- 18:20pillar, like a short pillar, like for putting something on,
- 18:22right? And somebody walks out wearing
- 18:25some very nice fancy clothes.
- 18:28Attention, everyone. It is time for the
- 18:30festival's proudest tradition, the
- 18:33revealing of the scales. Before I
- 18:36reveal the scales, I want to thank the people of
- 18:38Quinchao village for joining us here today for
- 18:41the festival and bringing their scale along with
- 18:43them. As always, since it is
- 18:46Chin village's time to shine, I will be revealing
- 18:49the scale bestowed to us. The green
- 18:52scale.
- 18:53And he pulls back the curtain,
- 18:56and everyone gasps. And you guys are kind of
- 18:58unsure as to why they're all gasping. And
- 19:01inside of this glass case that he has
- 19:04set on this pedestal, there's a
- 19:07large, red, sort of ornate scale. Look,
- 19:10everyone's gasping. And then you start to hear people throughout the crowd
- 19:13saying, where's the green scale?
- 19:15Where is it? Someone's stolen it.
- 19:18Everyone remain calm. We are sure to find
- 19:21the green scale. I'm sure it was a simple
- 19:23misplacement. Never fear.
- 19:26There are two mayors, each from a different
- 19:28town, standing up on the stage. They are
- 19:31panicking. the one mayor seems to be, like, trying to calm
- 19:34everybody. He's waving his hands around.
- 19:35Guys, maybe we should get out of here before things get any
- 19:38crazier. Let's try to get a boat.
- 19:40All of a sudden, the mayor looks over towards you, and he says,
- 19:43them?
- 19:44Who are they? Quick, grab
- 19:47them.
- 19:47And a group of guards surrounds you, and, he
- 19:50says, bring them to me. So as they lead you back behind
- 19:53the stage, he insists that the guards
- 19:56search all of you, search them for the
- 19:59scale, and they give you quick pat down.
- 20:01And he says, no scale. And they
- 20:04say, no scale.
- 20:05Sir, why is this scale such a big deal?
- 20:08Shui shui is the great serpent spirit that resides in the
- 20:11waters immediately surrounding Qin village. And
- 20:13spanning all the way to Quinchao
- 20:16village. She is incredibly powerful and
- 20:19has chosen Qin village as her home. And to prove
- 20:22this, she has left us with her beautiful green
- 20:25scale.
- 20:25And then all of a sudden, the other mayor, the
- 20:28female mayor, comes bursting back. She wears all
- 20:31black.
- 20:31That right there is a bold faced
- 20:34lie. You know as well as I do
- 20:37that the red scale, which is the
- 20:39true scale, mind you, was given to
- 20:42Quin Chow village and has been deemed her
- 20:45home, not chin
- 20:47village.
- 20:48And they start to bicker back and forth.
- 20:50Oh, yes. My apologies. The
- 20:52important matter right now is to find
- 20:55the scale that has been stolen so the festival
- 20:58may go on. I feel as though I can trust you
- 21:01to help us find it, if you would be so
- 21:04willing to help us. If you do,
- 21:07I will ensure you have free travel to
- 21:10whale tail island. You see, the festival
- 21:13we're holding takes place every year, but not always
- 21:16in the same place. Siwan Shue
- 21:18shui gifted chin village with her beautiful green
- 21:21scale. Apparently, Quincha village just so,
- 21:24happened to produce their phony red scale at the
- 21:27same time. Rather than start a war over which scale
- 21:30was the real one, as Shueishuei's scale was supposed
- 21:33to represent peace, we decided to
- 21:35simply alternate which village would hold
- 21:38the festival each year, with the respective
- 21:41village presenting their scale. I
- 21:44can gather up the suspects that I have some suspicions
- 21:47about as far as having something to do with this
- 21:49case. And you can talk to them one by
- 21:52one in my office, perhaps
- 21:55putting.
- 21:56A lot of trust in four outsiders
- 21:59you've just met.
- 22:00M I don't have much choice.
- 22:02And he holds out his hands to shake, and, you notice that
- 22:05he has black gunk all over his
- 22:08hands, maybe like ink. He looks down at his hand and he sees the
- 22:11ink and he goes, apologies.
- 22:13That must have happened earlier.
- 22:15Of the people on this list, how many people do you
- 22:18know have had access to this
- 22:21shard? The scale?
- 22:23Let's see. There was me, of course,
- 22:25but, I obviously didn't
- 22:28do it. Then you have Councilwoman Lin.
- 22:32Councilman Young has a key to the
- 22:34storage building where we keep the scales during the
- 22:37festival. Of course. There's Cato. He's
- 22:40the guard for the storage building, so of course, he
- 22:43had access to the scale.
- 22:45There's also Mayor Yu. When she and
- 22:48her people of Quinchao village arrived, she and
- 22:51I visited the storage building to place their
- 22:54fake red scale in there. She
- 22:57was accompanied by Councilman Huan, who
- 23:00is her right hand on the council.
- 23:02So, this morning, when you checked on it, can you
- 23:05recall, exactly what happened?
- 23:09yes, of course. So,
- 23:12this morning, Councilwoman Lin and
- 23:15I were running around ensuring that everything for the
- 23:18festival was ready when the people of
- 23:21Quinchao village arrived. I met with Mayor Yu and
- 23:23Councilman Huan, who joined myself and
- 23:26lind to the storage facility. Keita
- 23:29was already there keeping guard. He used his key
- 23:32to let us in. Mayor Yu set
- 23:35her fake red scale down on the pedestal
- 23:38next to where we keep the true scale, which was in
- 23:41its case, covered over with a thin
- 23:44cloth, which is part of the
- 23:46reveal. Then the four
- 23:49of us left, and Kato locked the door
- 23:52behind us, and that was that.
- 23:54Who's to say that, Mr.
- 23:57Squid? Ink? Hands over here. And I
- 24:00point at Wu very unapologetically. Who's to say that
- 24:03this guy didn't take it and put it in,
- 24:06like, an ocean thing. And that's why he had a running
- 24:09with squid. That's why he's got black ink on his hands.
- 24:11Unless you can explain the ink.
- 24:14Oh, yes, I can
- 24:16absolutely explain that for you.
- 24:19See, earlier, after I
- 24:22met with Mayor Ewan, secured the scales at the
- 24:25storage facility, I realized I had
- 24:28forgotten my scroll with the speech I had
- 24:31prepared for the unveiling ceremony. So I
- 24:34rushed back to my office, and in the process of
- 24:37grabbing it, I knocked over my ink
- 24:39wellen and spilled ink everywhere.
- 24:43That's how it got all over my hands.
- 24:46Wait, may you is
- 24:49gone. Perhaps she has stolen it and is trying to hide
- 24:52it. Quick. Guards, find Mayor Yu and
- 24:55bring her to me promptly. I will be at the
- 24:58storage facility with the detectives.
- 25:01I think you took it.
- 25:03That's what he just said.
- 25:05Oh, that's a double meaning because, yes?
- 25:08Is this guy's name mayor? Me?
- 25:10No, his is Wu.
- 25:12He is me.
- 25:12And I am. Oh, gosh. No, you
- 25:15did it. No, I didn't. I say,
- 25:18not you. You can do
- 25:21this, Abbott.
- 25:23All night.
- 25:23So he takes you guys over to a facility. It's
- 25:26a very basic stone
- 25:29hut. it's a one floor.
- 25:32It's not very big. It's
- 25:35basically just a small storage facility. It
- 25:38has no windows. It just has
- 25:41one door. And it is an iron door with
- 25:44a lock, like a space for a
- 25:46key. you arrive there, and you
- 25:49see mayor Yu is standing there arguing
- 25:52with the guard
- 25:55that is standing there. And you can hear from
- 25:58a distance. She's saying, you don't understand.
- 26:01I must get inside because I need to check
- 26:04on Quin chow village's scale.
- 26:06This is when you guys arrive. And, of course, mayor,
- 26:09mayor Wu.
- 26:10Says the criminal does return to
- 26:13the scene of the crime.
- 26:14If you must know, I came here to
- 26:17ensure the red scale is still
- 26:20safe, as your storage facility
- 26:23is obviously not as secure as you
- 26:26promised me.
- 26:27Then, of course, they start bickering.
- 26:28I guess we're just going to go.
- 26:30In and, Mr. Cater, if you'd be so
- 26:33kind as to allow us entrance to the facility.
- 26:36He opens the door, and you guys go inside.
- 26:39inside there's a number of just kind of boxes that
- 26:42are all nailed tight shut,
- 26:44scattered across the room. Some of them have, like, big, heavy
- 26:47blankets over, them. Mayor Wu walks over and he points at
- 26:50it and he says, yes.
- 26:52So as you can see, atop this pedestal here
- 26:55is where we keep the scale in a glass case.
- 26:57Now the facility is really where the security
- 27:00measures are focused. The glass case does not
- 27:03feature a lock. It's more there to keep the scale
- 27:06from getting dirty and such.
- 27:09Anyways, a white cloth normally sits on top
- 27:12of the glass case and it is removed during the
- 27:14ceremony.
- 27:15Mr. Mayor because I did actually kind of
- 27:18notice something at one point. I was making
- 27:21my rounds around the storage facility as I
- 27:24do. I was on my 27th round in
- 27:26fact and all of a sudden
- 27:29I heard some weird jingling sound of some
- 27:32kind. but by the time I got over here
- 27:35there was nothing there but I did see something running
- 27:37over into the bushes just past, right over
- 27:40there.
- 27:40And he kind of points off to the distance, not too far off, maybe
- 27:43like 2020, 30ft.
- 27:46Like I said, I don't know what it was but he's just
- 27:49somebody wearing black.
- 27:50It looked like.
- 27:51Let's take a look at this stone
- 27:54pedestal here. Glow and approach
- 27:57it and look for.
- 27:59Any hidden panels,
- 28:01compartments you feel around the
- 28:04entire pedestal. You're looking for any obscure
- 28:07divots or anything sort of out of the
- 28:10ordinary and you
- 28:13don't seem to find anything on the
- 28:15pedestal. But as you are
- 28:18checking the sort of the bottom of the pedestal where it
- 28:20touches the ground you do notice a couple of
- 28:23footprints or rather
- 28:26boot prints. Do the shoe prints
- 28:28that were spotted, the heavy
- 28:31set ones, do they lead out
- 28:34the door?
- 28:35Yes.
- 28:36Do they lead towards that bush? So you are
- 28:39following these footprints and as you follow
- 28:42them you realize they do lead out towards the
- 28:45bush. Is there anything in the bush? there
- 28:48is nothing that seems to be in the bush
- 28:50except cloth
- 28:53inside that seems to be smudged with
- 28:56some sort of black substance.
- 28:58Perhaps whoever stole the scale
- 29:01has black.
- 29:01Residue on their hands.
- 29:03Mr. Now I can see where your
- 29:06mind is going and the conclusions you are making but again,
- 29:09I assure you I was not the one that
- 29:11stole the scale.
- 29:13That's what they all say.
- 29:15I feel we need to see your office. Mr. Wu.
- 29:17We'll meet the suspects in your office.
- 29:20Yeah, call them all there right now.
- 29:23That's an order.
- 29:25Okay.
- 29:27He turns to Cato and he.
- 29:29Says, kato, since the green scale is no longer
- 29:32here your duty guarding this area is over.
- 29:35Your new order is to go and find these
- 29:38people.
- 29:46At this very moment you are being led back
- 29:49by Mayor Wu to his office
- 29:52and he has sent Councilwoman Lin
- 29:55to go out, his kind of assistant, second
- 29:58in command to go find the key
- 30:00suspects that he believes could be involved in this case and
- 30:03bring them to his office. So all of you
- 30:06shortly, are led to a fairly
- 30:09ornate, kind of town center style
- 30:11building, that's a little bit taller than all the rest, a little
- 30:14bit more decorative than all the rest of the buildings around it.
- 30:17You're led Inside, and shortly after taking
- 30:20a couple of hallways, find yourselves in
- 30:23some sort of a courtroom.
- 30:24This is my office, or rather, the
- 30:27council room, which my office is connected to.
- 30:30As you guys finish, looking around his office and start
- 30:33to step outside, the door flies open to this
- 30:36area, and in walks councilwoman lin.
- 30:39Keto and I have brought you everyone you requested,
- 30:42sir.
- 30:42Before you stands a number of people. You have
- 30:45councilwoman Lin. She goes down the line and introduces each
- 30:48of these people to you.
- 30:49This right here is Ley, and you.
- 30:51See before you a man. He's wearing very drab, kind
- 30:54of semi ruined clothing. If you were to approach him,
- 30:56he smells very much like seawater. In
- 30:59one hand, he holds a fishing rod.
- 31:02He falls to his knees, and he
- 31:05says, please, I beg of you, please.
- 31:08Return the great shuei shui scale to
- 31:11us.
- 31:11Standing next to him is another very well dressed
- 31:14man. He also stands fairly upright.
- 31:17Yes, apologies. My name is Councilman
- 31:19Young. As a councilman, the act of theft is
- 31:22quite beneath me, so I can't imagine any
- 31:25reason for me to be here at this moment.
- 31:27Standing next to him is a
- 31:30very stocky man. He wears
- 31:33a sort of a long cloak and
- 31:35skirt, and he has kind of a,
- 31:38leather apron over top, and he wears large leather
- 31:40gloves. He has some black substance kind of on his
- 31:43face. Looks like some kind of ash as well. He's holding
- 31:46a large hammer, but something that would be used
- 31:49more as a tool as opposed to a weapon. Yup.
- 31:52My name's way. Not really sure why I've been
- 31:55called here to this lineup. I don't even like this old
- 31:58festival. This whole thing is a bunch of baloney, if you
- 32:01ask me.
- 32:02As he speaks, he kind of motions with his hands, and you can kind of
- 32:05hear a number of things jingle on his body. As you see,
- 32:08he's got a number of pieces of metal
- 32:10or keys or et cetera, kind of just
- 32:13strapped to him in different places. Obviously, you have Mayor
- 32:16Yu. Not too far away from her, you
- 32:19see another very stiff looking
- 32:21man, standing, very forthright.
- 32:24Yes, the name's Juan. Councilman
- 32:27Juan, that is. Needless to say, I'm
- 32:30absolutely furious about the proceedings and handlings of
- 32:32today, and I feel as though we need to all be more
- 32:35concerned about the red scale as it is
- 32:38real.
- 32:38next to him, you see a small, old
- 32:41crookedy man who is shoving
- 32:45some pie into his face. And when
- 32:48he notices that you look at him, he quickly
- 32:51hides the pie into his
- 32:53cloak, and he pulls out a small bag
- 32:56of crackers and starts munching on those instead.
- 32:59What are you looking at?
- 33:00Where even am I?
- 33:02Ah, finally, the last character in front of you. He is a
- 33:05very well dressed, kind of plump
- 33:07man. he's starting to get some balding on the middle
- 33:10kind of. Of his head.
- 33:12Well, hello. My name is
- 33:14Nia. I am a traveling salesman from
- 33:17the village of Qin sho. I would like to
- 33:20establish that I must be innocent, as
- 33:23the scales which are represented by both
- 33:25villages are my primary source
- 33:28of income.
- 33:29You are free to ask any questions that
- 33:32you might have or make any
- 33:34observations that I can maybe give some hints
- 33:37to.
- 33:37I got some questions for Mr. Wei.
- 33:40Yeah.
- 33:41I saunter up to the man.
- 33:43He looks up, at you, and.
- 33:45He puffs out his chest.
- 33:47He says, what do you want from me, big boy?
- 33:50I was about to ask, are you a blacksmith?
- 33:53Yeah, I make all sorts of things. Weapons,
- 33:56tools, doors, door locks.
- 33:58So you don't seem too into, this whole
- 34:01festival here, sir.
- 34:02No, but I don't like it. It's a bunch of hullabaloo.
- 34:05It's a bunch of lies to make money off of the people.
- 34:08I see. So, during all these
- 34:10festivities, was anybody coming into your shop,
- 34:13or is.
- 34:13It just kind, of a slow day for you here today?
- 34:16Well, I, typically use the festival day as
- 34:19a sort of catch up day where I can finish up a bunch of
- 34:22the orders I've got on my list without getting any new
- 34:25orders in throughout the day.
- 34:27Nobody really saw you until just now. Is
- 34:30that a fair assessment, sir?
- 34:31I suppose that's a fair assessment.
- 34:34You seem to have, some disdain towards the scale
- 34:37here, sir.
- 34:38Oh, yeah. That scale is a big old
- 34:40phony, though.
- 34:42Which one's the real one?
- 34:43Neither of them is real. They're both
- 34:45fake.
- 34:46And to this mayor, Yu and Wu both Go.
- 34:49The audacity.
- 34:50So, anybody else want to take a.
- 34:52Crack at this interrogation? Hey, you
- 34:55and I point over at the guy sobbing
- 34:58in ash. Do you know. Do you have a boat? Yeah, I've got
- 35:01a boat. You know how to sail it? Yeah.
- 35:03How many can it fit? It can hold about four people in
- 35:06it.
- 35:06We just need you to take the. What is it called?
- 35:08Whale.
- 35:09Whaletail island.
- 35:10Whaletail island. I will happily provide passage to and
- 35:12from Whaletail island to anyone that can.
- 35:15Return the lost scale to our village. Mayor
- 35:18Wu.
- 35:19Yes?
- 35:20I need something from you.
- 35:22Okay.
- 35:23I need you to send somebody to the
- 35:25kitchen and bring back a
- 35:28jar of cinnamon.
- 35:30Okay.
- 35:31And a glass of milk.
- 35:33Councilman, young rushes off, to go get
- 35:35the things, and a couple moments later, he returns.
- 35:38Thank you. And I drink the glass of milk. Oh,
- 35:41man, that pie made me thirsty. And then
- 35:44I go over to Cato.
- 35:47Kato. Oh, yeah. Come
- 35:50confer with me. You heard a coughing at
- 35:52some, Oh, yeah, yeah, I think I
- 35:55did.
- 35:55there's a little bit. That's what alerted me. And then I came running
- 35:58over and.
- 35:59You heard a jingling?
- 36:01Oh, yeah, lots of jingling.
- 36:03I go over to the first person in line to,
- 36:05Lee. I scoop a big thing of
- 36:08cinnamon. Open wide. Yeah. Ah. I stick
- 36:11the spoon down his throat. I look to
- 36:14Cato, and he coughs. What do you,
- 36:17didn't, really sound like that. That was a bit too much
- 36:20phlegm in that one.
- 36:21So we need four spoons to
- 36:24sort of expedite the cough test.
- 36:26Oh, man. We're gonna need your first three favorite
- 36:29spoons.
- 36:30So can we kind of just line them all up and just at
- 36:33the same time just shove spoons of cinnamon into
- 36:36their mouth?
- 36:36You wanted, wei the blacksmith.
- 36:39You wanted councilman young.
- 36:41Councilman young, Mayor Wu. The three of you stand
- 36:44across from four individuals. You prepare
- 36:46four spoonfuls of cinnamon. You stick it into
- 36:49mayor Wu's mouth, and you, councilman
- 36:52Young goes.
- 36:55Wei goes, all right, I'm
- 36:57gonna need some jumping jacks.
- 36:59But everybody else get a jumping.
- 37:02Mayor Wu, he seems to have some keys on his
- 37:05person. councilman Young also has keys
- 37:08on his belt similar in number. Of course,
- 37:11Kato wearing some fairly heavy armor
- 37:14and having some weaponry.
- 37:15Oh, jeez, I'm really jingling.
- 37:17Wei the blacksmith, he also
- 37:20has a copious amount of jingling. And
- 37:23Kato looks over at him and.
- 37:24He goes, man, you're jingling about as much as I
- 37:27am.
- 37:27Mayor Yu, the other, also,
- 37:30she has a variety of jewelry on her person. so she
- 37:33jingles a little bit. It's a very light jingling. and then
- 37:36naya the merchant, he, too, jingles quite
- 37:39a bit when he jumping jacks. And that's about
- 37:42it. Everybody else seems to be fairly just cloth
- 37:44movement.
- 37:45Can we just have the guard shake down all of these people
- 37:47simultaneously? This hurts my brain. Can I try
- 37:50earth bending in a way that sort of
- 37:53shakes everybody down at the same time.
- 37:55You stomp the ground and
- 37:58twist your foot, which causes the
- 38:00sand or stone underneath their feet
- 38:03to sort of become coarse and then quickly
- 38:06resolidify, sealing their feet into the
- 38:09floor. And then as they start to kind of panic
- 38:12a little bit, you slam your other foot down, which raises a
- 38:15platform into the air and immediately twists in
- 38:18such a way that cause. Or you use your arms to kind of
- 38:21twist it in such a way so that they're all sort of upside down
- 38:23to some extent. No scales fall out?
- 38:25No.
- 38:26Excuse me, Mr. Brock. This investigation is
- 38:28turning into torture.
- 38:30You shake and you shake and you shake, and they're all
- 38:33crying out in anger and some
- 38:35fear, and many.
- 38:37Put me down.
- 38:39A voice cries out, all right,
- 38:42it was me.
- 38:43Please, I did it. Just put me down.
- 38:46You look and you see way the blacksmith called
- 38:49it.
- 38:49That's right. I did it. I had to show the
- 38:52people that he wasn't real.
- 38:54And he reaches into a hidden pouch
- 38:56inside of his apron, and he swings
- 38:59his arm down, and he throws the
- 39:02scale at the ground with all the force he can
- 39:05muster. As the, scale hits the
- 39:08ground, fragments start to break off and
- 39:11shatter in every direction as it starts to almost
- 39:14disintegrate upon touching the hard floor. And
- 39:17everybody's just frozen, stunned.
- 39:19We found your scale.
- 39:20You're welcome.
- 39:21See you later. And Mary Yu
- 39:23finally speaks up, and.
- 39:24She says, I knew it. Their scale was
- 39:27fake. No scale from a spirit beast
- 39:30would possibly shatter in such a way. It's
- 39:33obviously a glass replica. I knew
- 39:36it.
- 39:36Oh, yeah, that scale is a big old
- 39:39phony. Neither of them is real.
- 39:42Well, then I guess we'll just have to
- 39:45test that.
- 39:45So they're headed to the ball. So the people from Chin Village are.
- 39:48Like, let's go see the scale. Let's go destroy the
- 39:51scale.
- 39:52You guys are following as this mob sort of makes its way to
- 39:55the facility. You just see this group of
- 39:57angry people walk out of the facility
- 40:00carrying the glass casing that has the
- 40:03red scale inside of it. And they seem to be starting to make
- 40:06their way towards the town square. And eventually they
- 40:09make it to the town square. And Mayor
- 40:11Wu stands up in front of him, and he says, people of.
- 40:14Qin and quing Chao village alike, I'd like to
- 40:17garnish your attention for the moment. We've decided
- 40:20as a group that we are going to test the
- 40:22reality of the red scale once and
- 40:25for all.
- 40:26And he just chucks it straight at the ground.
- 40:28And mayor, you screams out, no.
- 40:31As it falls and shatters onto the
- 40:34ground. And everyone goes.
- 40:36And now we know that both the scales were
- 40:39fake and these two.
- 40:40And he points at both the mayors.
- 40:42One of the perpetrators of the whole thing. They've been
- 40:44lying to you good folks all this time. So now
- 40:47I ask all of you, what are we going to do
- 40:50about it?
- 40:51You see, the two mayors are whispering to each
- 40:54other at the moment, and they step forward
- 40:57and they say, congratulations.
- 41:01Yes. You solved the mystery of the fake
- 41:04scales. Yes, that's
- 41:07it. we've had this contest going for years, unbeknownst
- 41:10to all of you. Be sure enough, these
- 41:13strangers, and of course, way,
- 41:15was also involved in solving the mystery. Well
- 41:18done to all of you. You've won the
- 41:21contest. Yes, and next year, we're going to
- 41:24do it all again. But we will switch
- 41:27it up, make it a new mystery. That way it keeps things
- 41:30fresh every year.
- 41:31But what about Shui Shuei?
- 41:34Ah, yes, well, Shue shue will
- 41:37always be there watching over us, whether or
- 41:39not we have her scales.
- 41:42Oh, okay.
- 41:43Paray shui shuei.
- 41:45And you watch as the festivities kind of start to
- 41:48go back to normal a little bit.
- 41:50Well, that was a bit awkward,
- 41:53to say the least. I suppose things are
- 41:56in order. Well done in solving the mystery.
- 41:59I'm sure we can get someone to get you over
- 42:02to Whaletail island right away.
- 42:04Lei, would you mind taking these
- 42:07wonderful folks to Whaletail island?
- 42:10Oh, yes, of course.
- 42:12Thank you very.
- 42:13Right.
- 42:14and eventually, you push your way through that crowd and you
- 42:17find yourself at, the docks. And with that,
- 42:20you guys take off into the waters
- 42:23towards the island in the distance that you know is
- 42:26Whaletail island. As you guys are approaching,
- 42:28the waves kind of hitting against your boat. As
- 42:31you guys make your way towards this island, and it gets larger and
- 42:34larger as it comes closer and closer to you. You can
- 42:37see in the distance, kind of off on the left
- 42:39coast of this island. there seems to
- 42:42be a flagpole that
- 42:45outcrops from a sailing
- 42:47vessel. you're a little bit more towards the
- 42:50right section of this island's
- 42:53coast, so you're not going to collide with this pirate
- 42:56ship or land where the pirates may be
- 42:59set up. But you do assume that there are pirates that are
- 43:01actively on this island. After a few moments, you
- 43:04eventually do near the sandy
- 43:07beaches of whaletail island, or at least the
- 43:09sandy beaches where you're landing. It's got a very pirate
- 43:12y cove kind of a feel to it, right? And looking at your
- 43:15map, you're able to see where it is that you have
- 43:18landed on the map and where you need to go
- 43:21next. So Bill, I guess, starts leading the
- 43:23way. Stuff looks familiar. a little bit. I mean,
- 43:26obviously, it's a bit more overgrown. You're in a bit of a different
- 43:29area than where you remember. And you look at the map
- 43:32and some of the maybe rock formations or some of the details on the
- 43:35map, you're like, oh, I think that's where we originally
- 43:38landed at. Is the x near, like, the coast? No,
- 43:41it's actually kind of, like, north
- 43:43of the middle of the island. And from what it
- 43:46looks like, the x is there in the
- 43:49forest. So what I'm suggesting we do is.
- 43:51Just walk around the outside of the.
- 43:52Coast so we don't have to go.
- 43:54Through the middle, run into any pirates we don't need to mess with.
- 43:56Know, even though I was a great pirate, they probably remember
- 43:59me for how great I was.
- 44:01Pirate? Wait, you were a pirate? Yeah.
- 44:03Well, for, like, a day or.
- 44:06Yeah.
- 44:06Oh. Sweet. Yeah.
- 44:07And my name is definitely Bill Dore, so don't question
- 44:10that again.
- 44:12The more you say that, the less I believe you.
- 44:14Okay, fine.
- 44:15You want to know my real name? Okay.
- 44:17It's Ash. Okay. My real name's Ash. Thank you. I
- 44:20prefer Bill. Following the map, you eventually find
- 44:23yourself near, a cave. You enter
- 44:26into the inside of the cave and discover a large chamber
- 44:29with a massive hole in the center of the
- 44:32ceiling where sunlight enters through at the
- 44:35top. The cave is large and has giant
- 44:37gem like stalagmites which refract the light
- 44:40that comes in through the top of this cave,
- 44:43across the entire cavern. Although it's
- 44:46incredibly beautiful, to add to this beauty, there
- 44:49are plants that have sprung up thanks to this light,
- 44:52this sunlight that's able to get inside of this cave
- 44:55all throughout the cave, crawling up the
- 44:57sides of the rocky walls, as well as
- 45:00filling the entire floor with various foliage.
- 45:03that seems to almost be organized in a really
- 45:06interesting way.
- 45:07And what are all these bushes here? take a
- 45:09closer look as you.
- 45:10Kind of lean down towards it. So you recognize a lot
- 45:13of these plants that are in here, as stuff that Mr.
- 45:16Okaran used in the blissful brew tea
- 45:19shop. I think we just start sniffing till.
- 45:22We find some mint. Oh, yeah, guys,
- 45:25just follow our nose.
- 45:26Guo, you and Bill both manage
- 45:29to sniff your way over to the mint.
- 45:32And sure enough, as you approach it, you can see
- 45:35a small corner of what looks like
- 45:38a wooden box. Seems to be peeking out
- 45:40from the mint leaves. you open
- 45:44it, up and inside, you find a small
- 45:46stone tablet that seems to feature
- 45:49a map like drawing on it. But when
- 45:52you look at the edges of this tablet, you
- 45:55feel as though maybe it's been broken
- 45:58and there might be more pieces to it. Additionally,
- 46:01you find a small letter on the back of this
- 46:04letter. It says, to Bill. And then there's
- 46:06another letter that's folded similarly with a
- 46:09stamp on it. and this one says, to Guao.
- 46:12And that's everything that's in the box. Bill's reading it
- 46:15himself, sentimentally first, and then he's going to read
- 46:18it to everyone.
- 46:18Well, I'm salty. I only got a box for
- 46:21apparently my fox.
- 46:24Where's your fox dog business?
- 46:26There's something hidden.
- 46:27Follows me around everywhere.
- 46:29You ever figure out his name?
- 46:30Po guao has his own letter.
- 46:33did you want me to read it?
- 46:34Yeah. Guao, you're up next, my
- 46:37friend. When we first met, you were still working
- 46:40for the carnival. I know that we all
- 46:42have things in life we look back on and despise
- 46:45or wish never happened to us. But always remember
- 46:48that those experiences are there to strengthen
- 46:51us.
- 46:52And the fact that we push on.
- 46:54Shows that we are stronger than the things that try
- 46:57to hold us back. Never let anyone or
- 46:59anything hold you back. Lo. The coming
- 47:02quest of this hunt will rely heavily on you, my
- 47:05boy. But don't think that doesn't mean
- 47:08you won't need your friends. I have three
- 47:11instructions for you. One, look
- 47:14down to the bottom for your next destination.
- 47:17Two, read between the lines
- 47:20and seek.
- 47:20Out an old friend of mine. And
- 47:23three, remember the tune. You'll need it
- 47:26again soon. Pull some strings to hear the
- 47:29music ring.
- 47:30There are a series of
- 47:33letters, kind of randomly throughout
- 47:35your letter that are written in a
- 47:38red ink. Mmayuyiny. And
- 47:41U.
- 47:46Bill clears his voice to read the letter.
- 47:49And well done, Bill. I knew
- 47:52you'd remember our first encounter. I'm a man who never
- 47:55forgets his tease. In this box, you will
- 47:58find a piece of the map that, when placed alongside the rest
- 48:00of the pieces, will allow you to find the will
- 48:03that I have left behind. Also,
- 48:06once you do find the will, and I know you
- 48:09will, and take the tea shop for
- 48:11yourselves, remember this cave. I encourage you to
- 48:14make good use of it. And always remember two things.
- 48:17Treat nature with nurture and kindness, and it will show
- 48:20you thanks. And always make sure to invest in the
- 48:23long term rather than make single use of your
- 48:26efforts.
- 48:27Mika, you are holding the box that was given to you
- 48:30because people thought that was the only thing that was left from
- 48:33Mr. Okuron. You notice a, small, sort of,
- 48:36like, extrusion at the bottom of the box,
- 48:38that causes your fox dog to get uncomfortable and
- 48:41unable to sit in the box because it's kind of poking it a
- 48:44little bit. So it climbs out, and you see that there's a
- 48:47small metal, sort of insignia at the bottom
- 48:50of it. The small metal thing in the
- 48:53box seems to be one of those, like, made in
- 48:56whatever. And it reads made in Yudao,
- 48:59which is a small city that you know
- 49:01of that's in the earth kingdom. the second thing that you
- 49:04notice as you're bringing it over here is you can
- 49:07feel something on the side of the
- 49:10box that seems to kind of protrude ever so
- 49:12slightly. And there's sort of like a pull
- 49:15string, almost obviously.
- 49:16okay.
- 49:17You pull it and you hear a
- 49:20small melody.
- 49:30Does ring familiar to something you remember
- 49:33hearing back in the day and even playing on
- 49:36occasion back in the day when you were in the circus.
- 49:39Kind of a common circus
- 49:41tune.
- 49:42It's the ticket sales theme.
- 49:45How long were you in a carnival for?
- 49:48All my life. Basically, my
- 49:50parents sold me to this carnival,
- 49:53so I just had to do whatever they told
- 49:56me. Guys, looks like we're going to
- 49:58Udao.
- 49:59We're on Whaletail island. That's at the very bottom of the map.
- 50:02Udao is in the earth kingdom, you said?
- 50:05Yes. Think we're supposed to meet somebody
- 50:08there.
- 50:08Mayu.
- 50:09Yinyu.
- 50:10You hear a voice from behind you at the entrance of the
- 50:13cave.
- 50:14A bunch of kids just chilling
- 50:16in a cave on my island.
- 50:19And as you turn around, you see a large group
- 50:22of pirates all blocking the entrance to the
- 50:24cave, staring at you.
- 50:26Should have kept moving and not trauma dumped. This wouldn't have
- 50:29happened.
- 50:30They have captured you, and they are
- 50:32taking you back to their ship. They take you aboard,
- 50:35and they tie you up, just kind of binding your hands and your
- 50:38legs and then kind of letting you sit down on the
- 50:41ship. the captain starts to pace back and forth in front of
- 50:44you, and he says, you kids,
- 50:47you thought you.
- 50:47Could hide your secret about the treasure.
- 50:50From us, but what you didn't realize
- 50:53was that calconi. And he points at one of the
- 50:55crewmates. He's a very well dressed. He is like frilly
- 50:58clothes on. You almost could wonder,
- 51:01out of game that he probably belonged to Prince's, like,
- 51:04band.
- 51:05yes. Calconi was in chin village, and he.
- 51:08Noticed your whole escapade and overheard some
- 51:10conversations about a, secret hidden
- 51:13treasure you guys are headed towards.
- 51:15Well, we believe it's possible we're supposed to
- 51:18go to Udao. Load up.
- 51:21Get ready to sail. We are headed to
- 51:24Udao.
- 51:25Once you guys are on the water, he looks around,
- 51:28he says, all right.
- 51:30First of all, for the business of what kind of
- 51:33benders are you? Got to know that before we get any further,
- 51:36it's important.
- 51:37But if you give me an answer I like, I'll, untie
- 51:40you.
- 51:40Untie the lot. If they're just a bunch of earthbenders.
- 51:43And non benders, they're not gonna cause us any trouble out here on the
- 51:46sea.
- 51:46That does mean we can put them to work. Alright,
- 51:49break.
- 51:50Go.
- 51:50Get to work. Hey, what, what's your name?
- 51:53My name is Captain
- 51:55Rockfoot. I'll tell you the
- 51:58story.
- 51:59Once, not too long, ago,
- 52:01I used to be known as Captain
- 52:03Luckyfoot, but then
- 52:06we were attacked by a, ah,
- 52:09creature straight from the depths of
- 52:11hell. We call it Kuma.
- 52:14The gator shark leapt onto our boat,
- 52:17bit off milucky leg and jumped right back
- 52:20into the waters to feast on it.
- 52:22All right, so with that, you eventually finish your
- 52:25meal, you bring it upstairs and the entire crew kind
- 52:28of collects around this big old
- 52:31pot of food that you guys have prepared. and everybody
- 52:34kind of starts to spoon out bowls of
- 52:36this delicious stew and you guys all are
- 52:39called over. The captain seems to allow you guys to eat
- 52:42with the crew. the captain occasionally will shout, like.
- 52:45Well, we're already on our way, so what's the point? And stop it now.
- 52:48And then he'll say, I don't think.
- 52:50That there is much of a treasure for us to hide at the
- 52:53animal.
- 52:53They seem pretty questionable. all of a sudden, you
- 52:56hear another character, somebody that you haven't met yet,
- 52:59he's a bit younger, you might have at least seen him, but you haven't
- 53:02talked to him or whatever the case, he shouts out,
- 53:05captain.
- 53:06Captain, I see it. It's here.
- 53:09And the captain immediately just freezes and he turns his head
- 53:12and he says, you see what, zazu? He
- 53:15says, it's the beast. All
- 53:18of a sudden, it leaps from
- 53:20the waves and you see this massive, hulking
- 53:24gator shark fly through the air,
- 53:27over the hole of the ship and back into the
- 53:30water on the other side. And the captain shouts out,
- 53:33it's him.
- 53:34It's Kuma. Everybody
- 53:36to your stations.
- 53:39Kill that gator shark.
- 53:51let's call you
- 53:52interns, I don't know, find a
- 53:55place on the ship where you can help.
- 53:57All things considered, helping the crew in this
- 54:00moment is probably with your best interest, because the last thing you want to do
- 54:03is end up in the water with that thing.
- 54:05Can I grab some harpoons, and then go down to the
- 54:08cannons.
- 54:08So, you grab two harpoons. They're fairly heavy,
- 54:11so you grab one in each hand, and you kind of take off
- 54:14running down to the ship's, core.
- 54:17Whoa. Grabs his mop,
- 54:20looks down at it and tosses it aside
- 54:23and goes. And grabs a bow and arrow.
- 54:25Bill, door.
- 54:27What are you doing?
- 54:27Harpoon.
- 54:28You're grabbing yourself a harpoon, getting ready, because it's like a
- 54:31bow step, pointy at.
- 54:33All right, Mika, I am going to run to the, front
- 54:36of the ship, okay. And just stand there for a
- 54:39moment.
- 54:39Brock, you're running down to the cannons with the
- 54:42harpoons. What are you doing?
- 54:45Can I load the harpoons into the
- 54:47cannon? That was the worst that could happen,
- 54:50right?
- 54:51So downstairs, you run into a young guy up
- 54:54front. His name is Zazu. Based on the context clues you
- 54:57received from the captain shouting back at him. he's a younger
- 54:59man. he's wearing, like, a fire nation
- 55:02headband on his head. His hair is kind of spiked up. He's
- 55:05got black powder, like, all over his face and
- 55:08hands. And his clothes are pretty dirty.
- 55:11He's like, oh, hey, how's it going? Are you
- 55:14helping me with the cannons?
- 55:15Yeah, I'm down here to help with the cannons.
- 55:17All right, so cannons are loaded.
- 55:18They're ready to go. We just got to get this thing just right. We got to make sure that we
- 55:21hit him. Okay. So you load up. There's a
- 55:24cannon already in there, but you just jam one of those harpoons into
- 55:27the cannon, hoping for the best
- 55:29harpoon that you jammed in.
- 55:32He is also impaired, as he now has
- 55:35a harpoon jammed into his side.
- 55:38the cannonball fires out and
- 55:40slams into the water, causing a massive sort of
- 55:43explosion, and it causes the gator shark to
- 55:46go flying into the air, for
- 55:49guao. And, well, actually, all the other three of you, you
- 55:52can see this happen. You see this
- 55:54giant gator shark fly up into the
- 55:57air. You are going to be doing your bow and
- 56:00arrow. So your arrow flies out
- 56:02with key accuracy, slams into the
- 56:05shoulder of the beast, which goes,
- 56:09very angry. Bill, you are also
- 56:12advanced in attacking. You see Guao
- 56:14successfully shoot an arrow at this beast
- 56:17flying through the air, and you feel like you should
- 56:20be equally, if not more capable than
- 56:23Guao to hit this beast. So you focus for a
- 56:25moment. You curl that out, sort of to prove to
- 56:28yourself and to prove to everybody else that you are
- 56:31capable. This harpoon flies through the air, slamming
- 56:34into the beast, hitting him. in sort of the ribs
- 56:36area. Mika, what are you up to over at the
- 56:39front of the boat?
- 56:40I'm invasion observing who's around me, I.
- 56:43Guess, currently around you. you
- 56:46see an earthbending
- 56:48woman. She is holding a harpoon.
- 56:51She's kind of probably in like, her late
- 56:5340s. she's wearing sort of the green garb
- 56:56that a lot of earthbenders seem to, wear.
- 56:59I will help the lady.
- 57:01What do you say to this woman as she's getting
- 57:04ready to hurl this harpoon towards this creature?
- 57:07You're so awesome.
- 57:08and she looks over at you and she says, well, thank
- 57:10you, and she turns back to what she's doing, her hand, and you could
- 57:13see like a little smirk in her face.
- 57:15And she pulls back, far back and.
- 57:18Hurls this thing towards the creature, which
- 57:21is swimming towards the boat at this point, and he's already landed back into the
- 57:24water. And you m see it go into
- 57:27the giant fin that comes out of the water with
- 57:29that, you've kind of created or gone an entire
- 57:32round with, this creature, who now
- 57:35swims underneath the boat, and you can feel the entire
- 57:38ship move as it does. So he is going
- 57:40to, simply dive under the water. You don't see him, and when
- 57:43he comes back up, it looks like he has ripped out all the
- 57:46arrows and harpoons that were stuck inside of him.
- 57:49Could I do a defensive maneuver
- 57:51of.
- 57:52Putting down a defensive net?
- 57:54Net is an option, but we need more
- 57:57firepower. Time to pull out all the
- 58:00sacks.
- 58:00All right, well, everyone's pretty dang distracted right now, so
- 58:03nobody's stopping you from running to the captain's quarters and
- 58:06bursting through the unlocked doors. You look around the
- 58:09room, you see a number of different things. There's a
- 58:11wardrobe, there's a bed, obviously,
- 58:14which of course, some, you think maybe some things could be stored under the
- 58:17bed. You're not sure. And then there is a
- 58:20chest. Like a large, almost treasure chest esque
- 58:23looking chest.
- 58:24Whoa. Opens the wardrobe and picks out a funny
- 58:27hat to wear. I picked the one with the biggest,
- 58:30floppiest feather. And then I open the chest.
- 58:33Actually, you do see a sack of something. It's
- 58:36kind of heavy. It feels like maybe there's
- 58:39like some kind of sand or something inside of there. But you grab
- 58:42that sack of earth and you rush on out
- 58:45of there. It's like a medium sized sack full of
- 58:48dirt and rock and gravel and so on.
- 58:51This is mostly small rock, but I mean, with earth bending
- 58:53abilities, you have a lot of leeway with that,
- 58:56and.
- 58:56I run back towards the battle.
- 58:58A sack and a hat. The captain's going to be pissed.
- 59:01All right, so everybody else was doing advance and attack.
- 59:04I'm going to make a loud yelling noise, and
- 59:08he's going to get real scared. So
- 59:11I'm assuming you're throwing the net first
- 59:14before you scare it away. I orders the office,
- 59:17loud noises that scare him into my net. He is now
- 59:20unable. You make some loud noises and having
- 59:22being trapped, he's freaking out, he's panicking.
- 59:25In that case, I will fire the
- 59:28cannon. So you do.
- 59:29So, ball again shoots out of this cannon,
- 59:32slams into the water, knocking it up in the air,
- 59:34preceded by a
- 59:37harpoon that goes flying and jams itself into the
- 59:40netted creature. everybody else watches as this
- 59:43netted monster comes flying out of the water,
- 59:46flailing about, trying to claw its way out of this net.
- 59:49Mika.
- 59:50Hey, dude, give me your bow, okay?
- 59:52Please.
- 59:54I have no idea what I'm doing.
- 59:56Okay, why don't you go, like, sit in the back of the boat or something?
- 59:59As, you're readying this bow, the woman next to
- 1:00:01you, you feel a reassuring hand on your
- 1:00:04shoulder. She says, you caught this last
- 1:00:07fire away. And your arrow flies straight
- 1:00:10into the netted mess that is this gator
- 1:00:13shark. sinking into its form,
- 1:00:15it untangles itself, causing even more
- 1:00:18exhaustion, on itself. And then it quickly turns and
- 1:00:21starts swimming intensely towards the
- 1:00:24boat. And he slams into the side of the
- 1:00:27ship, causing a massive hole to open up inside the
- 1:00:30hole. Everybody begins to panic as they're
- 1:00:33thrown about on the ship. in every which way,
- 1:00:36the captain has the wheel, he's trying to steer it,
- 1:00:39sort of maneuvering around, but also staying
- 1:00:42within range of the shark, the gator shark. And,
- 1:00:45yeah, try to keep it so that people can fire at it and do whatnot.
- 1:00:48Brock, go ahead.
- 1:00:49Where is this guy?
- 1:00:49Right, okay.
- 1:00:50Yeah, so he slammed into the boat, and then now he's swimming
- 1:00:53away. It looks like he might be gearing up to do another one.
- 1:00:56So I grab the harpoon and leap off
- 1:00:59the boat.
- 1:01:00Everybody freezes. You fall through the air and land
- 1:01:03right on the nape.
- 1:01:04Yes. So I'm on there.
- 1:01:06So what's the deal with this grappling
- 1:01:09harpoon?
- 1:01:09Like a harpoon gun with a rope attached to
- 1:01:12it, and it is at the back end of the boat.
- 1:01:15So I go up to the guy who's on it and I
- 1:01:18say, you're taking too long. let a guy
- 1:01:21with a fancy hat take over. Yeah,
- 1:01:23I'll try to shoot it at the beast.
- 1:01:26Okay, Mika, you were going to also do
- 1:01:29advanced attack, right?
- 1:01:29I was going to use my water bending skills, squeezing like
- 1:01:32a python as.
- 1:01:34You stretch out your hands to try to control the
- 1:01:37water. It's just too strong of a current for
- 1:01:40you to be able to kind of control this much
- 1:01:42water. You, find it difficult to sort of get a hold on it,
- 1:01:45which works out in your favor in the sense that this
- 1:01:48lady doesn't seem to know what you're doing. She's actually a little bit
- 1:01:51confused because she doesn't see any water, really, like, getting
- 1:01:54moved around in an unnatural way. She's not going
- 1:01:57to suspect that you are a waterbender. So, once
- 1:02:00again, the gator shark is going to swim towards the boat
- 1:02:02and slam into it. Everybody is shaking
- 1:02:05again. Rock is having a time of his life right now.
- 1:02:08He is broccoli standing on
- 1:02:11top of the very beast you all are
- 1:02:14trying to, destroy.
- 1:02:15Well, first I will strike. The way I want to
- 1:02:18strike is I will take the two
- 1:02:20harpoons, I will excalibur
- 1:02:23them into his neck, and then kind
- 1:02:26of jump on him to make sure that they're, like, they're really.
- 1:02:29In there, really deep in there.
- 1:02:30All right. You're snapping off the tips of the
- 1:02:33harpoons inside of the monster. Her.
- 1:02:36So it can't just rip the harpoon out. Moving
- 1:02:39on to Guo. You have the
- 1:02:41grappling spear gun.
- 1:02:43I, don't want to hit brock. Let's see. I
- 1:02:46aim for the tail, but sure.
- 1:02:49Enough, Guo's aim is true and
- 1:02:51slices right into the tail, piercing
- 1:02:54straight through and sort of like grabbing on the other side because
- 1:02:57harpoons kind of have that protrusion. so it is, like,
- 1:03:00sufficiently grabbed. You can see the rope that
- 1:03:02leads all the way back over to the ship. you have
- 1:03:05essentially lassooed, this beast.
- 1:03:08Guo.
- 1:03:08Yeah. Guo's gonna try to start
- 1:03:11reeling bad boy in.
- 1:03:13Bill, you got a harpoon in hand. You hurl that
- 1:03:16harpoon towards the beast, it flies true.
- 1:03:19Mika, you've got your bow and arrow in hand, or your
- 1:03:22bow in hand. At the arrow, at the ready, firing it in. You
- 1:03:25could fire two arrows if you want. I'd be down with that.
- 1:03:28Obviously, two of them at the same time.
- 1:03:30You take a second arrow, and your
- 1:03:33earthbending friend is standing next to you, and she says,
- 1:03:35oh, you're pretty confident, I see. And you
- 1:03:38fire both arrows, both of them flying towards the gator
- 1:03:41shark. Brock, you quickly dodge, diving
- 1:03:44behind the, fin that sticks out of the water, both of
- 1:03:47them right where you were standing moments ago.
- 1:03:50It comes down to the gator shark's turn.
- 1:03:52But as, you hold on,
- 1:03:55it thrashes in the water a couple of times, and
- 1:03:58it just pulls against the rope that's jammed into
- 1:04:01its tail, and it finally just gives up.
- 1:04:04Captain. Captain. We got him. We
- 1:04:07caught him.
- 1:04:08And, everybody starts to cheer, and they're excited as
- 1:04:11they see this, the non moving creature. And sure enough, they
- 1:04:14pull it onto the ship. They lay it out before you. It's this massive,
- 1:04:17massive, hulking creature. The captain pushes
- 1:04:20his way through the crowd, and he looks at it, and.
- 1:04:22He, well,
- 1:04:25look who got theirs.
- 1:04:28So after waking up the next morning, the ship approaches the
- 1:04:31city of Yudao and begins pulling into the docks, where
- 1:04:34they plan to leave the ship and our gang, along with a group
- 1:04:37of pirates led by the captain, who will follow them
- 1:04:39ashore and continue to seek.
- 1:04:41Out the alleged treasure.
- 1:04:42Of course, our heroes don't want these tag alongs.
- 1:04:45And so they decide to leap off the rear of the ship into the
- 1:04:48waters below and swim themselves the short distance to the
- 1:04:51wooden ship docks awaiting for him.
- 1:04:53All of you manage to reach the docks. You pull yourself
- 1:04:56up out of the water. there's an old fisherman looking
- 1:04:58dude, but not so much old. I don't know, maybe middle
- 1:05:01aged, just, kind of sitting there fishing. He's looking at all of you as you
- 1:05:04pull yourself up from the dock, and he just goes,
- 1:05:07oh, I never.
- 1:05:08Seen fish like you before.
- 1:05:10Terrified, clutches his bucket of fish and
- 1:05:13jumps into the water. So you guys quickly find the
- 1:05:16square, per se, the big bustling area.
- 1:05:19One thing that you start to notice is that, there's
- 1:05:22definitely become a very heavy fire nation
- 1:05:25population in the area. You, see fire nation guards,
- 1:05:28you see businessmen and businesswomen wearing
- 1:05:30fire nation. The red garb with the little
- 1:05:33flame insignia on them. It seems like a
- 1:05:36normal city. Everybody seems, for the most part,
- 1:05:39happy.
- 1:05:39Yeah. Is there any other tea shops or
- 1:05:42herbal ingredient shop?
- 1:05:44And then you kind of come around to the front of it, and
- 1:05:47the sign above the door
- 1:05:49reads, hot leaf juice company. But whatever the
- 1:05:52case, you approach the front counter, or maybe one of the
- 1:05:55servers. Anyone in particular?
- 1:05:57What about an old person who's drinking
- 1:06:00tea?
- 1:06:01Sure, there's plenty of those there.
- 1:06:02Any of them playing pie show?
- 1:06:05sherp?
- 1:06:05Yeah, Bill.
- 1:06:06Go insert yourself into their pie show conversation.
- 1:06:09You do this all the time with old timers. So I'm gonna walk
- 1:06:12over to some older earth people, and, I'm going.
- 1:06:15To examine the board, as I walk up to
- 1:06:17it, you walk up and you say, close game.
- 1:06:20And both of them pause, holding the first piece that they
- 1:06:23have to put on. And they look at you and
- 1:06:26they're.
- 1:06:26Like, I guess it could be.
- 1:06:30What you make it. I mean, since
- 1:06:33two seasoned pie show players like yourselves,
- 1:06:36it's going to be a close game.
- 1:06:37My name's Gray, and this is my
- 1:06:39associate foe.
- 1:06:41And both of them kind of motion for you to sit with them, and.
- 1:06:44They'Re like, so you're knowledgeable, about the game.
- 1:06:47Would you like to sit and watch us play?
- 1:06:50I can't stay long.
- 1:06:51We're here looking for someone.
- 1:06:54Who are you looking for? My yu. Yin yu.
- 1:06:56And as you say that name,
- 1:06:59the pieces just kind of slide out of their hands, and
- 1:07:02they both have kind of these gaping open mouths, and
- 1:07:05they quickly look around, and they kind of lean in, and
- 1:07:08they say, I don't.
- 1:07:10Know where you're from, but it is not
- 1:07:13wise to shout the name Mayu
- 1:07:15Yinyu when the Fire Nation is around.
- 1:07:18Why? You're asking about him, but you don't
- 1:07:21even know him.
- 1:07:22Well, I was sent to talk to him.
- 1:07:25By who?
- 1:07:26his name was Okaron.
- 1:07:27And one of them is like, okaron.
- 1:07:30I think I remember Okaron. He was the
- 1:07:33traveling team merchant Grey. Oh,
- 1:07:35you're right. Foe he was. Oh, he was a very
- 1:07:38nice man. He played pie show with us. If you're an
- 1:07:41associate of Mr. Ogron, then there's no
- 1:07:44reason not to help you. he's a good man, and I believe
- 1:07:47he's close friends with Mayu. I believe
- 1:07:50he mentioned something about him performing at some event
- 1:07:53he was doing or something like that. But, it's fairly
- 1:07:56important that you not speak that name
- 1:07:58loudly or much at all in public.
- 1:08:01He is, an entertainer, of sorts. But he's also
- 1:08:04a leading member of the local
- 1:08:07rescue team squadron here in Udao.
- 1:08:10rescue from what?
- 1:08:11Look around you. Can't you tell?
- 1:08:13I see fire nation.
- 1:08:14They've come in, as ambassadors. They've
- 1:08:17started to integrate into the politics. They started
- 1:08:20enacting certain rules and laws that
- 1:08:23befit their purposes and their ideas,
- 1:08:26and, they're starting to kind of push us earth
- 1:08:28nation citizens out.
- 1:08:31So what is the rescue squad doing?
- 1:08:33Well, they're trying to stop them. If you are searching for
- 1:08:36mayu yinyu, mayu yinyu
- 1:08:39will find you. Try the performance
- 1:08:42hall.
- 1:08:42Thank you, gentlemen.
- 1:08:44And Bill's going to stand up from his seat and reach
- 1:08:47to give them.
- 1:08:47Both a handshake, they shake your hand and
- 1:08:50then, just before you let go of foe's hand, he
- 1:08:53pulls you closer.
- 1:08:53He's like, bill, be careful.
- 1:08:56Fire nation is always listening.
- 1:08:58So you guys head out, and you kind of just start making your way
- 1:09:01down the dirt pathway. In the
- 1:09:04distance, you can see a very ornate,
- 1:09:07beautiful building. There are large
- 1:09:10fabric outdoor curtains that kind of hang from the various
- 1:09:13windows and such. It's a very classy building.
- 1:09:16There's a wall that kind of goes around it. It's not super
- 1:09:18high, maybe like 8ft or so.
- 1:09:21Inside you can see there's some greenery that's very well
- 1:09:24kept. definitely feels like a very classy place.
- 1:09:27We're sopping wet still, probably for
- 1:09:30sopping wet teenagers.
- 1:09:31You guys approach, there's a back entrance and it's sort of like
- 1:09:34a stage left exit kind of a thing.
- 1:09:37It's got sort of like, some kind of a sign on it that says
- 1:09:40actors only. So you guys step through this
- 1:09:43side door and you guys find yourself on the sort
- 1:09:46of back stage. You can hear
- 1:09:49a woman is on stage at this very moment and she
- 1:09:52seems to be singing in a very high sort of opera esque
- 1:09:55voice. It's not a performance. It's not like a
- 1:09:58big show at the moment. It's probably somebody
- 1:10:00rehearsing.
- 1:10:01Is there anybody else backstage or is she the only person here?
- 1:10:04Yes, actually, there is somebody else backstage. There's somebody, holding
- 1:10:07a clipboard. And right now they don't notice you because
- 1:10:10they are very intently going through the names.
- 1:10:13And it's kind of dark back here, but you can see just past
- 1:10:16them. It seems like there's a line of other people that has
- 1:10:18begun sort of behind other women, some young, some
- 1:10:21old, all dressed in sort of, dressy
- 1:10:24kimonos.
- 1:10:25So this is like an audition of sort. So,
- 1:10:28Mika, you can go in that line.
- 1:10:30Blend in.
- 1:10:32I'm literally soaking wet. These ladies
- 1:10:35are in beautiful kimonos.
- 1:10:37Yeah, that's your stick.
- 1:10:38I'll just use my water bending skills.
- 1:10:40Pull the water off yourself and get in line.
- 1:10:43All right, so as you guys are walking towards it, this man
- 1:10:46turns around. he's kind of an older guy.
- 1:10:48He's got kind of a long goatee that hasn't quite started to
- 1:10:51gray yet. But the wrinkles around his eyes and his
- 1:10:54cheekbones kind of protruding, definitely
- 1:10:57suggests age and sort of frailty. As you guys
- 1:11:00walk to the back of the line, you get some looks of
- 1:11:03disdain from the various women that are lined up.
- 1:11:05So you are auditioning?
- 1:11:07You guys told me to.
- 1:11:09Do you actually get in line? Are you dry at this point?
- 1:11:12Yes.
- 1:11:12She dried herself.
- 1:11:13While we're walking the rocks that Brock
- 1:11:16has, could I bend them into the shape of
- 1:11:19a clipboard? Because you can get anywhere with a clipboard.
- 1:11:22So you guys find the green room, and sure enough, there are a
- 1:11:25number of snacks and drinks in here.
- 1:11:28And there is one person sitting in there.
- 1:11:31It's just a young woman. she's not dressed in a kimono.
- 1:11:34She's dressed in just kind of casual clothes. She has her hair up in a
- 1:11:36ponytail. she has big rimmed glasses
- 1:11:39on, and she also is holding a clipboard. And she
- 1:11:42kind of looks up as she sees the three of you walk in, and she
- 1:11:45goes, oh, are you here for the
- 1:11:48job?
- 1:11:48Since I have my official clipboard, I.
- 1:11:50Could just be like, oh, I was.
- 1:11:51Just escorting these guys here. And then, can I keep looking around?
- 1:11:54you could do that. Absolutely.
- 1:11:55On that, yes. So she believes that you are somebody
- 1:11:58important. she says, ah, have
- 1:12:01you always worked here?
- 1:12:04I'm kind of new around here, but they put me on here, and
- 1:12:07these guys came and found me and said they were looking around for you, so
- 1:12:10I just came and dropped them off. I just started working
- 1:12:13in the acquisitions department, where we're looking for, all those new
- 1:12:16actors and such.
- 1:12:17Oh, well, then you and I will probably be
- 1:12:20working quite closely together.
- 1:12:22Yeah, it appears that way.
- 1:12:24Yeah.
- 1:12:24I'll see you around.
- 1:12:25I'll see you around too. And she just kind of
- 1:12:28blushes, and she just watches as you lead
- 1:12:31off, and then she just kind of looks at her clipboard. Who's in?
- 1:12:34Oh, in charge. Well, it's a little bit up in the
- 1:12:37air right now. previously, it was, an individual. You
- 1:12:40may have heard of him. His name was Mayu Yinyu. but
- 1:12:43he is since. How do I
- 1:12:46say this? gone into some activities
- 1:12:49the theater doesn't necessarily want to directly
- 1:12:52support, but he's no longer involved. Brock, are you just,
- 1:12:55like, waiting outside?
- 1:12:56I think I've just kind of been wandering around looking for
- 1:12:59Mayu yinyu.
- 1:13:00There's dust around what looks like a perfect
- 1:13:03shape of a picture frame in certain spots. And then, of course,
- 1:13:06the wall behind where this picture frame would have sat is, like, completely
- 1:13:09clean. So, yeah, just to, imply that
- 1:13:12the artwork has since been removed, probably
- 1:13:15of my.
- 1:13:16Can I go back into that
- 1:13:18interview room?
- 1:13:19You step inside, and, actually, she's standing right there by the door.
- 1:13:22She was kind of, like, walking out just as you walked in and you both
- 1:13:25bump into each other. Her glasses fall off onto the
- 1:13:28ground.
- 1:13:29Can I reach down and grab it with her? Like the
- 1:13:31rom coms, both your hands.
- 1:13:34Touch each other as you both reach for her
- 1:13:36glasses.
- 1:13:37So what happened to Mr. Yinyu last?
- 1:13:40He was one who sent me out.
- 1:13:42he announced that during a performance,
- 1:13:45he sang a piece that alluded to the idea that he was
- 1:13:48involved in a sort of rebel organization
- 1:13:51here in the city. And apparently there were some
- 1:13:54leading individuals from the Fire nation here, and,
- 1:13:56they kind of picked up on his subtle
- 1:13:59message and they were not happy.
- 1:14:01he disappeared after that. He went
- 1:14:04into hiding, I guess. The Fire nation
- 1:14:07has a very large prison structure that
- 1:14:10they've actually built. Kind of on the outskirts of town,
- 1:14:12actually.
- 1:14:13Oh, what's your name?
- 1:14:14my name's Sonuma.
- 1:14:17Sonuma, okay. I'm Brock. Nice to meet you.
- 1:14:19Meanwhile, all this is happening. Mika,
- 1:14:22it's finally your turn.
- 1:14:24I kind of stumble out on the stage and
- 1:14:26then strat to the middle.
- 1:14:29You see a very rotund, man
- 1:14:32and woman both sitting out there. they both look at you
- 1:14:35intently.
- 1:14:35And the woman says, well, go on.
- 1:14:38What will you be performing for us today?
- 1:14:41I'm going to do an
- 1:14:44interpretive dance. Yeah. And I just
- 1:14:47kind of look at them like, are you going to play something?
- 1:14:50Do you have anything specific?
- 1:14:52Literally anything? I'm just going to move my
- 1:14:55body, like, different watery ways.
- 1:14:58Okay. Very water tribe. You're starting to get out
- 1:15:01of breath, but you're committing to this dance. And it
- 1:15:04is interpretive. They are absolutely
- 1:15:07flabbergasted as they watch, as you do these wave
- 1:15:09motions to the point where you seem
- 1:15:12like you are water. And they see
- 1:15:15these, the clothing that you're wearing. It's not the
- 1:15:18fancy kimonos that the.
- 1:15:19Other girls were wearing.
- 1:15:20It's something that really suggests
- 1:15:23water tribe. And so they're seeing this pairing of the
- 1:15:26attire mixed with the cultural
- 1:15:29forms that waterbenders use. And
- 1:15:31they're astonished.
- 1:15:33It was beautiful.
- 1:15:34they clap and they say that.
- 1:15:36But was quite impressive. I've never
- 1:15:38seen anything like that. Where in the world did you come
- 1:15:41from? Where did you learn to dance in such a way?
- 1:15:44I'm just very in tune with the water.
- 1:15:47You absolutely are. Please. Yes.
- 1:15:50All of a sudden, as they're getting excited and
- 1:15:53everything like that, an owl cat flies into
- 1:15:56the theater and swoops down low just
- 1:15:59past the heads of this man and
- 1:16:01woman that are congratulating you. The,
- 1:16:04creature sort of flies low, and you notice
- 1:16:07a small piece of paper fall from one of its
- 1:16:10talons.
- 1:16:10I'll grab that.
- 1:16:12You catch this piece of paper. At the moment, with
- 1:16:15everybody swinging and the craziness going on, it doesn't
- 1:16:18quite feel like the time to read it.
- 1:16:20I was pretty proud of myself and more happier than I
- 1:16:23have in the last couple days.
- 1:16:24Did you get the job?
- 1:16:25Did I get the job? Is that even a
- 1:16:28question? Obviously, Brock, I got the job. Oh,
- 1:16:31wait, guys. I also got a note. This weird, like,
- 1:16:34outcast thing just came swooping in and dropped something,
- 1:16:37and I picked it up.
- 1:16:38So you open up the note, and you're surprised at the amount of writing
- 1:16:41that's on it? It's in very fine print, but it's also very
- 1:16:44well written, and it reads. So you want
- 1:16:47to speak to Mayu? Unfortunately, we, the
- 1:16:50udao faction of the rescue team squadron, will
- 1:16:53need to see proof that you're not a fire nation spy
- 1:16:56by hitting them where it hurts in a way that no
- 1:16:59fire nation sympathizer would dare to do.
- 1:17:02Luckily for you, I'll give you a choice between
- 1:17:05the three. Pick one and attach it to the owl,
- 1:17:07and we'll send the details for the task. Do the
- 1:17:10task, and we'll tell you where you can talk to
- 1:17:13Mayu. And you see three
- 1:17:15bold options below. One,
- 1:17:19sabotage. Two, steal.
- 1:17:22Three, break free. As you circle
- 1:17:24sabotage, you look up because you hear a noise, and it's
- 1:17:27a. As the
- 1:17:30owlcat swoops down and lands on sort of
- 1:17:33just like, a pole, like a part of the wall.
- 1:17:35I'll tie it.
- 1:17:35You guys are outside the theater as the hour
- 1:17:38of noon kind of starts to draw near,
- 1:17:41your owlcat returns with a new
- 1:17:44note. It simply says,
- 1:17:47there's a factory in Udao that has
- 1:17:49been repurposed to make large scale
- 1:17:52weapons. We need you to break into the
- 1:17:55facility and, hit them in several key
- 1:17:58points in order to severely disable
- 1:18:00it.
- 1:18:01Nothing a trusty clipboard can't get us into.
- 1:18:04On the backside of the note, it lists the three
- 1:18:06areas of this factory they need you to
- 1:18:09disable. Right. The furnace, the assembly
- 1:18:12line, and the casters. the facility
- 1:18:15itself has, it's large, it's
- 1:18:17massive. It does not have a huge amount of side doors
- 1:18:20or windows. Instead, it has two men
- 1:18:23guarding the large iron front gates, both
- 1:18:26dressed in fire ocean garb.
- 1:18:29I go up and say, I'm with
- 1:18:32OsHa, sir. I'm here to do a little check
- 1:18:35of, your construction site, make sure everything's up to
- 1:18:38code.
- 1:18:38You see it from OSHA. What exactly
- 1:18:41is Osha?
- 1:18:42I go onto these sites, and I make sure that
- 1:18:46your workers are safe, not in
- 1:18:49a dangerous situation
- 1:18:51while, they're making
- 1:18:55what appears to be a roof here for this
- 1:18:57building. Yeah, I'm going to have to bring out my whole Osha
- 1:19:00here. So if you give me ten minutes, I'll be out of your hair.
- 1:19:03We'll all be out of your hair in about ten minutes here. All right,
- 1:19:06so we'll go up to the roof.
- 1:19:07They are definitely patching up a. They've
- 1:19:10removed a whole section, a hole,
- 1:19:13like, H-O-L-E section in the roof. You
- 1:19:16look inside, you can see all the way down to the production floor.
- 1:19:19There's people in there working. there's a large
- 1:19:21furnace. You see metal going into this
- 1:19:24furnace, and then you see shovels that are pulling it out,
- 1:19:27gets moved over to one of the assembly lines. It
- 1:19:30gets dumped into the various
- 1:19:31casters. The casters are what form
- 1:19:34the metal into the pieces that are then transported
- 1:19:37over to the production crew, who put the pieces
- 1:19:40together into these large scale sort of
- 1:19:43machines.
- 1:19:43I got to come here and, check out the hole that you guys are
- 1:19:46working on. Just make sure everything's all right. And I just climb down the
- 1:19:49hole, bro. I flaunt the power of the
- 1:19:52clipboard wherever I go.
- 1:19:53All right, guys, maybe we can find some
- 1:19:56uniforms.
- 1:19:57You notice sort of like a doorway. It's just one of those
- 1:20:00swinging doors, kind of like what you'd see at restaurants that lead into
- 1:20:03the kitchen, kind of that sort of setup. and you
- 1:20:06see a couple of people walk out of them, and
- 1:20:09they are actively retying their
- 1:20:11aprons on. So you guys head back there. As you open
- 1:20:14the door, there's a couple of people eating. They kind of see you come in,
- 1:20:17and they kind of look at you a little bit, like, funny. Like,
- 1:20:20who are these people? They're not wearing the aprons and stuff, but
- 1:20:23they don't really question you. You see another door,
- 1:20:25just, another swinging door. You see two sets of them. Each one has
- 1:20:28a plaque above the wall. One of them kind of shows the depiction of a man, and
- 1:20:31one shows the depiction of a woman. You open up one of these
- 1:20:34drawers, and you find, some common
- 1:20:37person's clothes. That's not what you're looking for. So you
- 1:20:40continue opening more, some of the other drawers, and sure
- 1:20:43enough, eventually you find some aprons that match the ones
- 1:20:46that everybody else out there are wearing.
- 1:20:48additionally, you find some very heavy
- 1:20:51gloves, able to sort of resist heat to some
- 1:20:54extent, just because they're such a heavy material. And
- 1:20:57you also find some,
- 1:20:59hats to protect your hair.
- 1:21:02You find some boots as you guys step out
- 1:21:05from what was basically the break room. you see
- 1:21:08another individual not wearing an apron, but
- 1:21:10rather wearing some finer clothes with
- 1:21:13a, same hat but not
- 1:21:16the same rest of the clothing. And he is also wearing
- 1:21:19a clipboard.
- 1:21:20And he says, you four.
- 1:21:23And then he sees Brock's clipboard.
- 1:21:25He goes, oh, sorry. You three get
- 1:21:28back to work. What are you doing? Your break's been over for
- 1:21:31a good five minutes now. Sorry.
- 1:21:33I was holding him up.
- 1:21:34And he comes walking over and he.
- 1:21:35Says, let me see that.
- 1:21:37This is not for your eyes, sir. This is above
- 1:21:40you. My clipboard is larger than yours.
- 1:21:43There we go.
- 1:21:44I am more important.
- 1:21:45He's going to back down, but he's going to keep watch.
- 1:21:48he now dislikes you. You are
- 1:21:51that coworker that he couldn't
- 1:21:54necessarily deny that you might have more
- 1:21:57power than he does. But man, he's going to find
- 1:22:00a way to shut you down.
- 1:22:01Let's go back into the break room and eat some people's
- 1:22:04lunches.
- 1:22:06That would really spark things, man. Next
- 1:22:09thing you know, you start walking around.
- 1:22:10Great idea. That way we cause discourse.
- 1:22:13He's like, oh, yeah.
- 1:22:15You start walking around to the employees and you're like, you guys ever
- 1:22:18heard of a thing called union? You got these
- 1:22:21three underling employees standing in front
- 1:22:24of you waiting to be assigned some work.
- 1:22:26I'll tell Guohan. you go over to the assembly
- 1:22:29line. Mika, you go over to the furnace.
- 1:22:32Mika, you make your way over to the furnace and
- 1:22:35immediately, the closer you get to it, the more you're hit with
- 1:22:38the just emanating heat that comes off of it. It
- 1:22:41is a massively hot fire.
- 1:22:44there is a few people that are manning this furnace
- 1:22:47area. you see people that are kind of overseeing the
- 1:22:49metal that goes into it. they'll kind of make sure that
- 1:22:52it's in the bins. It's not sticking out in any way that would make it
- 1:22:55bump up against the furnaces. They're operating this
- 1:22:58massive bellows, that's pushing air
- 1:23:01into the heat. And of course, every time that they press down on these
- 1:23:04bellows and the air goes shooting into this furnace, you can
- 1:23:07feel that heat emanate even more as kind of the
- 1:23:10air pushes the heat outwards, and helps to keep
- 1:23:12this fire going. obviously you know that
- 1:23:15your goal is to sabotage
- 1:23:18this furnace. Obviously. Nearby you can see
- 1:23:21the assembly lines. there are the assembly lines where people
- 1:23:24are putting the things the pieces together. There are the assembly
- 1:23:27lines where people are putting this broken up pieces of m
- 1:23:30metal onto, or like, the ore for the
- 1:23:32metal. And that's what's getting transported into the
- 1:23:35furnace itself, potentially.
- 1:23:37Take one of those broken pieces of
- 1:23:40metal and try and tear the fabric.
- 1:23:42And you find a long piece of protruding
- 1:23:45metal. It looks like it could have been an old spear
- 1:23:48of some kind, possibly. but it's kind of
- 1:23:51bent and warped.
- 1:23:53I am going take it and
- 1:23:55hide it within my skirt dress
- 1:23:58thing.
- 1:23:59Nobody notices around you. You do this. as
- 1:24:02you are doing this, somebody over on the
- 1:24:05bellows collapses. They're just sprawled
- 1:24:08out on the floor. They're completely unconscious. one of the
- 1:24:11sort of manager people, in fact, it's the same one that was just giving
- 1:24:14brock some crap just moments ago, comes rushing over
- 1:24:17and he points at you and he says.
- 1:24:18I need you to run bellows.
- 1:24:20He kind of follows off after the
- 1:24:22employee that passed out. As he's being hauled away by, like, a
- 1:24:25guard, he's just kind of pulling him by his arms.
- 1:24:28You, take hold of the bellows, kind of following in
- 1:24:31suit with the other person that's doing it.
- 1:24:33I'm just here to reach around and.
- 1:24:36Just poke a hole.
- 1:24:37Yeah.
- 1:24:38Sure enough, as you lift up,
- 1:24:40you stab very carefully.
- 1:24:43I'm imagining you have the spear kind of hidden
- 1:24:46by your leg. And so you kick your leg out
- 1:24:49in such a way that it kind of shoots the spear out from
- 1:24:52underneath your skirt and pokes it into it so that definitely
- 1:24:55nobody would see that you do this. you kick
- 1:24:58so hard that the spear actually pokes all the way
- 1:25:01through this bellows and out the other side. And
- 1:25:04as you push down, the air just kind of comes out the
- 1:25:07side and it deflates really quickly. So
- 1:25:10the other person on the other side just kind of, like, falls really quickly to the
- 1:25:13ground and then scrambles to get up.
- 1:25:14And they're like, oh, no.
- 1:25:16They just have no idea what to do in this situation. And they're
- 1:25:19really worried about getting in trouble.
- 1:25:21I'm gonna panic with them.
- 1:25:23everybody's panicking at this point. They're freaking out. They're
- 1:25:25shouting back and forth at each other. The furnace
- 1:25:28is definitely down right now. let's jump to
- 1:25:31the casters. Bill, you're on the
- 1:25:34casters duty. you approach, you
- 1:25:37see these large stone or various stone
- 1:25:39casters. They are just, inlaid with sort of a
- 1:25:42shape for a specific piece of whatever these things
- 1:25:45that they're building is. As they
- 1:25:48move on a conveyor belt. Like much of the things in
- 1:25:51this, room, as they move by sort of
- 1:25:54the other end of the furnace, there's some containers that go
- 1:25:57into the furnace. They pull out the molten metal, and then they
- 1:26:00dump it into these casters. the casters come
- 1:26:02around a long ways to get to your area,
- 1:26:06giving, the metal some time to cool. Your
- 1:26:09job, as you look around and see the other people
- 1:26:12working, is to turn this
- 1:26:14caster upside down and make sure that the
- 1:26:17metal comes out of it. Anything that happens to the
- 1:26:20casters would cause a lot of
- 1:26:23problems.
- 1:26:24How do you break a caster?
- 1:26:26You see that over on the side? there are
- 1:26:28some hammers that are used. you watch as one of the
- 1:26:31employees, they're shaking the caster. It's not coming out. So
- 1:26:34they go over, they get a hammer.
- 1:26:36Is there a sledgehammer?
- 1:26:37Yes.
- 1:26:38Okay, I'm going to grab it. I'm going to walk over to my stand.
- 1:26:41I'm just going to kind of lean on my sledgehammer.
- 1:26:43I'm going to be like, hey, what's.
- 1:26:44Going on over there? Some of the people kind of, like,
- 1:26:47glance over at you, but they look a little like they don't want to
- 1:26:50glance at you because they're worried you might glare at them
- 1:26:53again.
- 1:26:53I'm not gonna leave my station. That's how you get in
- 1:26:56trouble. I know the clipboard guy.
- 1:26:58I'm gonna point at Brock.
- 1:27:01I just kind of nod back at him, give him a thumbs up.
- 1:27:03I'm just gonna look up for my clipboard, and I'm just going to look
- 1:27:06at, I'm just going to point at bill.
- 1:27:09They all look at you, and they.
- 1:27:11Say, what do you want us to do?
- 1:27:13Just run over there, see what they need help with.
- 1:27:15What about the casters?
- 1:27:16I got it. And sure enough, a, fairly large
- 1:27:19migration of the caster department starts
- 1:27:22to head over to go see what's going on over at the
- 1:27:24bellows.
- 1:27:25All right?
- 1:27:25And then I'm going to put the.
- 1:27:26Sledgehammer on my shoulder and start walking towards the
- 1:27:29caster. Particles flying up towards him as
- 1:27:32he's plowing through with a big old smile on his face.
- 1:27:35Whoa. You're over at the assembly line
- 1:27:38station. This is technically before all this
- 1:27:41craziness has gone on, but as you approach, you see people
- 1:27:44with a number of various tools. You take a piece,
- 1:27:47you put another piece in it, you take a bolt,
- 1:27:50and you tighten that on it. And then you set it down, and each person
- 1:27:52looks like they have kind of more of a specific. They grab very
- 1:27:55specific pieces that are on the assembly line.
- 1:27:57Let's grab a whole tool belt.
- 1:28:02All right. So, this assembly line, is it made out
- 1:28:05of. Is it like a belt?
- 1:28:06Yeah, it's kind of just like a sort of a
- 1:28:09rotating belt. So, you actually see on
- 1:28:12either side, these assembly lines, there's literally a
- 1:28:15dude that has to just crank the assembly line. That's
- 1:28:18just all he does all day, is just cranks the assembly line so that
- 1:28:21it's constantly moving.
- 1:28:21So I'm going to take the crowbar and try to pry
- 1:28:24off, like, the side of the assembly line,
- 1:28:27like, the guard that's keeping all the stuff
- 1:28:30on the belt.
- 1:28:31You start doing this, and somebody approaches you. He's holding
- 1:28:34a clipboard. Actually, you know, it is the same guy as before.
- 1:28:36There's, like, one manager guy that's been.
- 1:28:38Working here in this area, and he.
- 1:28:41Says, what exactly are you doing?
- 1:28:44Oh, I just got to take this fender off
- 1:28:47here to lube the bearings.
- 1:28:49Sorry about that. I, didn't mean to confuse
- 1:28:52or get, into your business. yeah, you do what you gotta
- 1:28:55do. So, Guo's gonna use the
- 1:28:58hammer now to, like, well, he's just gonna crawl
- 1:29:01underneath this part of the assembly
- 1:29:04line, and he's gonna take the wrench
- 1:29:06and just start untightening
- 1:29:09bolts underneath there.
- 1:29:11Okay.
- 1:29:11He's going to take the bolt completely off,
- 1:29:14and then just, like, chuck it.
- 1:29:15You pop it off, and as you do, things start to
- 1:29:18buckle a little bit on the assembly line, and you can
- 1:29:21hear it just to, like, a
- 1:29:24stop. This is happening just as the massive
- 1:29:27distraction over at the bellows is happening. they've all
- 1:29:30gone to investigate the bellow.
- 1:29:32Okay. So then I just take the hammer, and I start whacking
- 1:29:35the crank, but.
- 1:29:36You bend it horribly into, like, a warped
- 1:29:38situation, and you do this from piece or section
- 1:29:41to section until all the sections have sort of a
- 1:29:44different problem that's wrong with them.
- 1:29:54It's, the four of you have completed your task.
- 1:29:56You've sabotaged your pieces. Yeah. How are you getting
- 1:29:59out of here?
- 1:30:00I mean, I got the clipboard.
- 1:30:01I'm just gonna walk out the front door.
- 1:30:02Walk out the front door.
- 1:30:03There's the two guards that are just outside the door, and they say,
- 1:30:06hey.
- 1:30:06what's, where are you guys going?
- 1:30:09I just got some four new hires. we got to
- 1:30:12take them on a full tour, and I got to take them on the
- 1:30:15outside. Just, show them around.
- 1:30:17what's going on in there?
- 1:30:19Oh, inside?
- 1:30:20Yeah.
- 1:30:20There's, like, shouting and stuff.
- 1:30:22there's some of those company disputes. Some people
- 1:30:25wanted to ask for dental insurance.
- 1:30:28Could you imagine if we had dental? That's
- 1:30:31why we got these new hires. They don't know about the
- 1:30:33union.
- 1:30:34Anyway, sorry, don't mean to bother you. have a great, I don't.
- 1:30:37Know, rest of orientation. And as you guys are
- 1:30:39making your way down the path, you can start hearing
- 1:30:42escalated shouts and such from the factory as
- 1:30:45more and more things. You start to see. actually,
- 1:30:48the billowing smoke from above starts to dissipate
- 1:30:51ever so slightly. And you notice there's quite a significant
- 1:30:54less amount of that smoke. and
- 1:30:57as you walk away, proudly, a voice
- 1:30:59emanates from behind you and he says,
- 1:31:02hey, that one's pretty well done in there.
- 1:31:06And you turn around. Standing before you is
- 1:31:08a fancily dressed man in
- 1:31:11ridiculously colorful clothing. And he
- 1:31:13says, the name's Mayu
- 1:31:16Yinyu. It's great to meet all of you. Where are you guys
- 1:31:18from? What made you so interested in the, Well,
- 1:31:21myself and the rescue team
- 1:31:24squadron.
- 1:31:26We worked for Mr. Okuron and, Mr.
- 1:31:29Okuron.
- 1:31:29Now, see, there's a guy. There's a guy.
- 1:31:32There's a guy right there. There's a guy, there's a nice
- 1:31:35guy. Good guy.
- 1:31:38Still running that tea? Get that tea shop opened up.
- 1:31:41I'm just kidding. I know he got that tea shop opened up.
- 1:31:43I saw him a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:31:45Mr. Okaron, right?
- 1:31:46He's dead. This guy has been pretty, know,
- 1:31:49smiley and chuckly and real
- 1:31:52charismatic. But, you definitely see a, real
- 1:31:55sadness kind of fall across his face.
- 1:31:57How'd you know him?
- 1:31:58Oh, man, me and Okaron, man, we went way back.
- 1:32:01He came to, you dao. I was
- 1:32:04performing. but I had a sore
- 1:32:06throat. Anyway, so, he gives me this.
- 1:32:09Tea, and he's like, this will fix you right up.
- 1:32:11He does a pretty good impression of, Mr. Oak run. And, I
- 1:32:14drink that. And, man, I don't think I ever
- 1:32:17sounded better. I'm not going to lie to you. Yeah, man, I'm going
- 1:32:20to miss that guy.
- 1:32:21But he, for some reason, carefully
- 1:32:24hidden his will behind a
- 1:32:27series of riddles, puzzles I
- 1:32:30got Will scavenger hunt,
- 1:32:32and you were the next clue.
- 1:32:35Interesting. Well, that would explain the
- 1:32:38weird package I got from him. A couple of weeks
- 1:32:41ago, he sent me this weird package. I opened it up
- 1:32:44and there was a Columbia in there. There was like a weird
- 1:32:47letter in there, and it mentioned something
- 1:32:50about some kids that would come
- 1:32:53asking for it.
- 1:32:54Do you have that Columba on you?
- 1:32:56All right, so that's where things get a little bit
- 1:32:59complicated. Hey, we're really close to that
- 1:33:02factory. Why don't you guys come with me back to the
- 1:33:04base? He leads the way and he takes a few twists
- 1:33:07and turns, but he kind of keeps you guys just on the outskirts of the city.
- 1:33:11So he takes you over close to the edge of the cliffside and he
- 1:33:13pulls back some bushes and you see what looks like
- 1:33:16one of those mail shoots, kind of like what you saw
- 1:33:19in the avatar shell, right. the mail shoots that
- 1:33:22they use to move little slides that they can send
- 1:33:25packages all across the city on, right. And they got one of these mail
- 1:33:28shoots and they got a little cart on the top of it's pretty wide,
- 1:33:31large cart. You could probably fit a few people in it. there's like
- 1:33:34maybe three of these carts sitting up there.
- 1:33:37And he's like, all right,
- 1:33:39this is how we get to the base.
- 1:33:41Hop on in.
- 1:33:42So you're able to push yours onto the, track, and that
- 1:33:44kind of, again, inertia kicks in and you guys start going down. It is
- 1:33:47a pretty wild ride, but as you guys kind of come around this
- 1:33:50curve, you can see that what it does is it kind of just
- 1:33:53shoots you right into the side of the cliff. There's a big
- 1:33:56opening and you just go right inside. And sure enough,
- 1:33:59eventually, you can see a light at the end of the tunnel. And as
- 1:34:02you guys come to the end of that, it opens up into this
- 1:34:05massive cave. As you guys kind of slide
- 1:34:07into this, you can see, small
- 1:34:10buildings actually passing by you as you kind of come
- 1:34:13in. And you see people, there are people in there. There's
- 1:34:16hundreds probably of people that are inside of this cave. And
- 1:34:19eventually your cart slows to a stop and there's kind of
- 1:34:22like a little end of the track section as it slows.
- 1:34:25and as you guys reach that, there's a couple of guys,
- 1:34:28earthbenders there wearing earthbender uniforms.
- 1:34:31And as you guys get out, they kind of like use some earthbending to
- 1:34:34kind of start pushing the carts back up the
- 1:34:36mail chute. Welcome to the rescue team squadron base. I'll take
- 1:34:39you guys over to kind of the main area. You, guys can meet
- 1:34:42the other important people like myself,
- 1:34:46and, yeah, we can, kind of get you guys informed on
- 1:34:49what the plan is. There's training areas where rebel
- 1:34:52soldiers are working on their fighting styles and their
- 1:34:54bending. there's medical bays where healers are
- 1:34:57taking care of the weak and sick. Not all of them. You
- 1:35:00can look and you see that not all of them are rebel soldiers. Some of them are
- 1:35:03just kind of general citizens. There's children, there's
- 1:35:06elderly, Earth kingdom, water
- 1:35:08nation, et cetera. Just
- 1:35:10individuals just kind of seem to exist here. So as
- 1:35:13you guys, continue following Mayu, you come to what looks
- 1:35:16like a big, kind of open concept
- 1:35:20facility, where there's a big circular table
- 1:35:23kind of in the middle of this space, and
- 1:35:25there's a number of individuals that are kind of bent over it. And as you
- 1:35:28guys enter, you see a map of what looks like, it's kind
- 1:35:31of a 3d map, actually, because, again, earth bending. It's all
- 1:35:34little, like stone miniatures, and they're all kind of analyzing it
- 1:35:37or pointing out spots and talking to each other. And
- 1:35:40as you guys are walking in here, Brock, you actually
- 1:35:43notice a familiar face here.
- 1:35:45Oh, do I?
- 1:35:46Yes.
- 1:35:46You see, Sora, your friend who
- 1:35:49helped you break out of prison, and you hear a shout
- 1:35:52out, oh, my gosh.
- 1:35:53Brock Lee, what in the world are you doing
- 1:35:56here? Did you finally decide to join up with us? Right now,
- 1:35:59we're in the middle of a planning session, actually. I'm glad he
- 1:36:02can make it. What's going on?
- 1:36:04And Mayu looks at me. He's like, hey, yeah, I,
- 1:36:07found these kids. they kind of answered our little, like,
- 1:36:09help wanted ad. Mayo yinyu kind of starts pointing everybody out, and he's
- 1:36:12like, well, I better introduce all these guys. all right, so
- 1:36:15right over here, you got general ming. he's kind of the lead
- 1:36:18figure. And standing before you, you see this very
- 1:36:20stern, gray bearded Earth kingdom
- 1:36:23dressed. You know, he's got a lot of badges on his earth
- 1:36:26kingdom armor. Then mayo points at
- 1:36:29Sora, and he says, this is Colonel Sora
- 1:36:32bola. it sounds like Brock. You guys
- 1:36:35already know each other, so, I mean, that's kind of helpful. you guys see
- 1:36:38Sora, she's actually about your age, but she, too,
- 1:36:40wears some very nice earthbending kind
- 1:36:43of military clothes. She has a couple of badges as
- 1:36:46well. They're different badges. If you look back closely, they're
- 1:36:49different badges than what the general has. Mayu continues. He
- 1:36:52points over, he says, this is a, major Sato,
- 1:36:55and Sato is wearing a waterbender.
- 1:36:58He is also an older man, very thin,
- 1:37:01unshaven. He has these large, wide brimmed
- 1:37:04glasses on, and he reaches up and he adjusts them
- 1:37:07with one of his central fingers,
- 1:37:10like some sort of anime
- 1:37:12protagonist. He points over to the next person.
- 1:37:15He says, this is Captain Lena. And you
- 1:37:17see a woman standing there, and, she gives you all a smile, and she's like,
- 1:37:20hey, it's great to see you guys here. It's great to have, some more, people
- 1:37:23helping us out. she just seems like a bright person. The
- 1:37:26clothing she has on doesn't elude that she's
- 1:37:29part of any particular nation. It's sort of like
- 1:37:32gray colors. He continues. He says, over
- 1:37:35there we got Dr. Takahashi. He's
- 1:37:37our medic. And you see another man. He's, just
- 1:37:40kind of standing at attention. He's just got a nice smile, but he seems
- 1:37:43very silent, and he just gives you a very kind nod.
- 1:37:46Next up, we got, engineer
- 1:37:49Nakamura and technician Kim. I mentioned
- 1:37:51them both together because. And they kind of, like,
- 1:37:54put their arms around each other and they wave. It's a nice couple.
- 1:37:57They're like, maybe in their 40s, early
- 1:38:0040s, because they're together. They're married. so,
- 1:38:03yeah, Nakamura and Kim, they're like,
- 1:38:06wow, it's so great, so great to have you guys here.
- 1:38:09It's always great to see you next
- 1:38:11generation taking part in what we do
- 1:38:14around here. And then, of course, we get back to
- 1:38:17myself, mayu yinyu. I'm kind of, the
- 1:38:19voice, some say, the face of the
- 1:38:22rebellions. I lead a lot of the protest stuff. some of the more
- 1:38:25like putting up posters that
- 1:38:28say up yours to the Fire nation. That
- 1:38:31kind of good stuff. Sora steps forward and she says, so.
- 1:38:34A basic rundown of the current situation. This is
- 1:38:36actually our new permanent base that you're currently standing in.
- 1:38:39It's a lot better than our old base, which was actually above
- 1:38:42ground. And because of that fact, it didn't really work out
- 1:38:45too well. See, about a week ago, the
- 1:38:48Fire nation actually caught onto our activities and discovered our
- 1:38:51base. So we had to flee down here, which wasn't a huge
- 1:38:54issue, except for the fact that in our hurry to leave the
- 1:38:57old base, we left some pretty important plans and documents
- 1:38:59behind. If the Fire nation gets their hands on them,
- 1:39:02we're going to be in hot water.
- 1:39:03Is that where our music box is?
- 1:39:06Mayu steps in. He's like, yes, that's where I left
- 1:39:08the Columba.
- 1:39:10Everything that comes out of his mouth, I feel
- 1:39:13like is a lie.
- 1:39:15Mayu yinyu seems like a great guy to
- 1:39:17me.
- 1:39:18Mika, quote, you love everybody.
- 1:39:21That's not true. Well, for one, the carnival
- 1:39:24owner, because he treated me like a
- 1:39:26garbage slave dog and a lot of words.
- 1:39:29Made me do all sorts of nasty stuff.
- 1:39:32I don't know, I just think you're not very trusting, Mika.
- 1:39:35why would I be?
- 1:39:36The general continues.
- 1:39:37He says yes. the specialist isn't expected
- 1:39:39until tomorrow morning, so we have a narrow
- 1:39:42window tonight to break into the facility.
- 1:39:45Specialist is, a fire nation guy?
- 1:39:47Yes.
- 1:39:48Do you know who it is?
- 1:39:49Yes.
- 1:39:50Our sources tell us that they've called for none
- 1:39:52other than Wang Long. We've had dealings with
- 1:39:55him quite a few times, actually. Sora, you're
- 1:39:58familiar with him?
- 1:39:59Know him? He was a guy Brock and I had to get through in order to
- 1:40:02escape that prison camp.
- 1:40:03You were in the prison camp? If I remember right. Well, last
- 1:40:06I heard of the guy, he was taking a bunch of weapons over to the
- 1:40:09earth kingdom to go destroy countrysides.
- 1:40:11So, timeline, you got this guy, Wang long,
- 1:40:14becomes some sort of big shot for whatever reason in the
- 1:40:17fire nation has a bunch of big
- 1:40:20mass weapons of destruction built over the fire
- 1:40:23nation, brings them across the water
- 1:40:26into the earth nation, uses them to attack the
- 1:40:28village that Brock apparently
- 1:40:31lived at, turned it into a prison camp
- 1:40:34where Brock was held. We send
- 1:40:37Sora in to bus him out and,
- 1:40:40well, I guess the rest is history. That's the
- 1:40:42biggest difficulty that we've been having with the
- 1:40:45rescue team squadron is he just keeps
- 1:40:48attacking these border cities,
- 1:40:51these small little cities out on the outskirts of the
- 1:40:54earth kingdom, and
- 1:40:57they just claim that we're dealing with pirates
- 1:41:00or we're doing this or stopping criminals.
- 1:41:03Know so and so is a refugee from the Fire nation
- 1:41:06mainland and all this other so, you
- 1:41:09know, higher ups in the earth
- 1:41:11kingdom just don't take it seriously. So we got to move
- 1:41:14fast.
- 1:41:15Yes, tonight.
- 1:41:16I'll go. you guys go.
- 1:41:18Mika. You hear a
- 1:41:21voice?
- 1:41:22No.
- 1:41:23As you turn around and it
- 1:41:26simply says, mika. And
- 1:41:29you turn around and none other than
- 1:41:32your dad. And he sees you and
- 1:41:36his legs literally just like, tremble,
- 1:41:39and he just falls. Like, he just buckles. He can't keep
- 1:41:42him up anymore. and he just holds out his hands.
- 1:41:44He's like, mika, is that really you?
- 1:41:47I just fall to the ground where I met.
- 1:41:49He picks himself up and he just runs over
- 1:41:52to you and he gives you a big old hug.
- 1:41:54Mika. I never
- 1:41:57thought I'd see you again.
- 1:41:58I thought you were dead.
- 1:41:59I thought you were dead.
- 1:42:01You're the one who disappeared in a
- 1:42:04giant avalanche.
- 1:42:05I woke up at the bottom of the mountain covered in
- 1:42:08snow, and I spent days just digging through the
- 1:42:11powder in hopes that you were okay. But I don't
- 1:42:14understand. Where did you go? How did you
- 1:42:17get here?
- 1:42:18I found some old man, and he took care of
- 1:42:21me for a while.
- 1:42:21I worked at his tea shop for a while.
- 1:42:23You worked at a tea shop?
- 1:42:25But he's dead.
- 1:42:27Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I wish
- 1:42:30I could have had the chance to thank him for taking
- 1:42:33care of you.
- 1:42:34You guys spend some time kind of sharing your stories up
- 1:42:37until this point. Back and forth. He says, well, we were
- 1:42:39actually getting ready to head out. I wasn't sure if Mika was going to come with
- 1:42:42us. I mean, you'll still be here when we get back, so, not
- 1:42:45to, like I said, pull her away while you guys are having such an important
- 1:42:48reunion, but, he can just come with. I recruited your
- 1:42:51dad. It's going to be interesting. Mayu continues to lead you
- 1:42:54guys on. As you guys approach the area
- 1:42:57where this rebel base is
- 1:43:00located at Mayu, yinyu stops and he says,
- 1:43:03quiet.
- 1:43:03I hear something.
- 1:43:04And he looks over at Mika's dad, and he
- 1:43:07gives him a nod. And using some of the very,
- 1:43:10capable, sort of water nation trained stealth
- 1:43:13tactics, Mika's dad kind of just disappears into some
- 1:43:16bushes very quietly, and he comes back and he says,
- 1:43:19I'm not sure what happened, but it seems we're too
- 1:43:21late. The specialist, Wang Long,
- 1:43:24is already here?
- 1:43:26Yes, it seems like Wang has already arrived,
- 1:43:29but it doesn't look like they fully unloaded their gear. So
- 1:43:32there's still some time to sneak in and recover the plans, if we're
- 1:43:35quick about it. What can we see from here, guys?
- 1:43:38So, yeah, as you guys look, you can see against
- 1:43:41the sort of darkening, late, afternoon,
- 1:43:43early evening skies. You can see some of the
- 1:43:46lanterns have been lit throughout the facility, causing little
- 1:43:49areas to sort of pop against the darkness
- 1:43:52behind it. there's
- 1:43:541234 lights that shine at
- 1:43:57the front of this facility where you hide in the bushes maybe
- 1:44:00100 yards or so away from, and you
- 1:44:03can kind of peek through and see the
- 1:44:06various fire nation soldiers bringing crates
- 1:44:09and some other things over to the front. They seem to be kind of
- 1:44:12unpacking. that's where Mayu yinyu kind of
- 1:44:15points these out. And he says, that was kind of where a lot of,
- 1:44:18the living areas were. There's a large building in the
- 1:44:21center on the east. Entire back end is, like,
- 1:44:24kind of the big main area. It's, a courtyard
- 1:44:27surrounded by, sort of a three story
- 1:44:29building.
- 1:44:30I would like to assess the
- 1:44:33situation.
- 1:44:33All right, so you remember seeing the diagram or sort of
- 1:44:36like the miniature setup that they had of this base. you
- 1:44:39kind of start to look over the base and you kind of associate, like, oh, yeah,
- 1:44:42okay. I see what they had back at the
- 1:44:45rescue team squadron. Their big,
- 1:44:48fancy table where they were talking about the plan. You can see
- 1:44:51how the building layout looks, based on. From
- 1:44:54memory. You remember that on the east
- 1:44:57and west side, all the way to the back, close to
- 1:45:00where the command center is, but not quite there. You remember there were sort of
- 1:45:03like living quarters or something along those lines in
- 1:45:06that three story building that sort of surrounded this
- 1:45:08courtyard. And they had windows. they
- 1:45:11mentioned that those windows were sometimes boarded up. But
- 1:45:14at the end of each building, on
- 1:45:17each floor, they had sort of a transition spot where
- 1:45:20there was a stairwell. And the stairwell was an open
- 1:45:23concept. mayu Yinyu turns to Mika's
- 1:45:26dad and he says, well, Mactuck, do you and I, maybe we could
- 1:45:29sneak around to the east side and
- 1:45:32the kids can sneak around to the west side, and that just increases the
- 1:45:35chances of, success. And, of course, for all of us. You
- 1:45:38see a little bit of hesitation from Mack tuck as he kind of looks over at
- 1:45:40Mika, like, oh, I don't really want to separate from everybody.
- 1:45:43I grab his hand, kill squeeze before.
- 1:45:46He leaves you, a squeeze back. And he gives you a nod and
- 1:45:49a smile. And he and Mayu yinyu run off
- 1:45:52towards the eastern side of the building to try to get
- 1:45:54around and kind of take the same route that you guys are going to go through.
- 1:45:57I will attempt to take the rocks in Brock's rock
- 1:46:00sack and bend them
- 1:46:03onto the walls. So it's like rock
- 1:46:06climbing walls.
- 1:46:07So, yes, you are able to make a
- 1:46:10sort of rock climbing wall. Whatever the case, you guys
- 1:46:13manage, to get to the top, hop in through this
- 1:46:15old, windowsill, and you enter
- 1:46:18into a very dark room. There's not a whole lot of light that comes
- 1:46:21through here. it sort of feels like an apartment room in
- 1:46:24a sense, just, like an old, rickety apartment room. There's a small
- 1:46:27bed in there and there's a dresser.
- 1:46:28Did he tell us what we're looking for?
- 1:46:31Planned?
- 1:46:32In hindsight, we probably should have ironed those details out
- 1:46:35before splitting up.
- 1:46:36Okay.
- 1:46:36can I go to the door and open it?
- 1:46:39Yes, absolutely, you can. And as you do, light
- 1:46:42starts to come inside, and you realize that they
- 1:46:45have lit lanterns along this
- 1:46:47balcony area. So you peek out and you can see
- 1:46:50the courtyard below you, and you can see that on
- 1:46:53the sort of ground level. There are a couple of guards
- 1:46:56that seem to be kind of patrolling along there.
- 1:46:58What should we be on the lookout.
- 1:47:00For when we go out of this door here? So you notice
- 1:47:02that there are a handful of guards that seem to have kind of
- 1:47:05spread out through this facility. They're already doing some
- 1:47:08preliminary searches, and of course, they're the ones that
- 1:47:11probably lit these lanterns that are spread out. And then you notice
- 1:47:14that on the second floor of this
- 1:47:16area, there's also somebody that seems to just kind of be making
- 1:47:19rounds. He's checking in all the little, apartment
- 1:47:22rooms that are on that floor. you wonder if maybe there's
- 1:47:25one on your floor that you just don't see at the moment because like I said,
- 1:47:28it's a big sort of semicircle.
- 1:47:30Let's get moving, guys.
- 1:47:31We're pressed for time.
- 1:47:32Let's go.
- 1:47:33Sure enough, you can see off in the distance
- 1:47:36there is, in fact, a guard on your floor. And he
- 1:47:38stands right in front of the double doors that you can
- 1:47:41tell open into that big center room, which is the command
- 1:47:44center.
- 1:47:45Guys, look out. The wang gang's in the building.
- 1:47:47Is there, like, side rooms?
- 1:47:49You find maybe m three to four different
- 1:47:52rooms that all are unlocked and able to get
- 1:47:55into.
- 1:47:55That represents the bathroom there, one
- 1:47:58unlocked close by the guard.
- 1:48:00He'd be about 15 to 20ft away
- 1:48:03from it. What is your plan here?
- 1:48:05Well, I want to make the water to come
- 1:48:08out of the apartment door. So this
- 1:48:11guard feels like something is
- 1:48:14amiss. He has to go check it out.
- 1:48:16He is standing there. He's waiting, and then all of a
- 1:48:19sudden, he feels something touch his foot.
- 1:48:22He looks down, and he sees that there's water that
- 1:48:24seems to be running up, and it's on his foot. And he
- 1:48:27thinks this is strange. And he looks over and
- 1:48:30he's following where the water is coming from. And he sees it going
- 1:48:33into, or rather it's coming out of one of the apartment
- 1:48:36rooms. He goes to investigate it. He approaches one of the rooms. You guys
- 1:48:39are all maybe crouched into one of the open apartment
- 1:48:42rooms that Guo had discovered were unlocked. And
- 1:48:44you watch as he opens up the door to this room. He notices
- 1:48:47that it's locked. And so he shakes it a little bit, and he
- 1:48:50goes, oh, And he's not giving up. So he decides to kick it in.
- 1:48:53So it makes a loud crash as he does a
- 1:48:56little bit of noise, but the door flings open. You hear another
- 1:48:59guard shout over what's.
- 1:49:00Going on over there.
- 1:49:01And he looks out and he shouts back, no worries.
- 1:49:04I'm just investigating something, and the door.
- 1:49:06Was locked, and you hear the guards.
- 1:49:09Shout back, oh, okay, no worries.
- 1:49:11so he's obviously put them off of
- 1:49:14maybe noticing some noise. They might think, oh, it's just that
- 1:49:17guy that's dealing with that room. He goes into this room, and he
- 1:49:20kind of just disappears into the darkness as he's investigating
- 1:49:23this mysterious water run.
- 1:49:24To the main door.
- 1:49:26As you guys make your way over to the door, you look down over
- 1:49:29the balcony area, and you can see Mac took
- 1:49:31and Mayu Yinyu are on the
- 1:49:34second floor. And they peek out from opposite side
- 1:49:37from you guys, and they peek out from one of the apartment rooms. They
- 1:49:40see you guys, they give you guys kind of like a thumbs up. You guys reach the
- 1:49:43main doors of this command center, and you push
- 1:49:46them open. And inside is very similar
- 1:49:49to what you saw back at rescue team squadron base that you
- 1:49:52were just at. There's all sorts of scrolls and maps and all sorts
- 1:49:55of other things. No one's in here.
- 1:49:57Can we jam the doors so no one can walk in?
- 1:49:59I mean, there's definitely some furniture in here, obviously. There's that large
- 1:50:01table that I just mentioned. Bottom line, all four of you get
- 1:50:04around this table, set it in front of the double doors that lead
- 1:50:07into this room, and they are the only doors that lead into this room.
- 1:50:10Where is the Columba, and where are these alleged important
- 1:50:13plans that Mayu Yinyu is trying to
- 1:50:15find? You're kind of
- 1:50:18rummaging through some of these desks and drawers and
- 1:50:21such like that. You actually see it just sitting there on
- 1:50:24a chair in a corner of the room.
- 1:50:26Where can we find plans?
- 1:50:28You look around and you see, like, a variety of various
- 1:50:30scrolls and other documents and so on
- 1:50:33and so forth. It's really hard to tell which ones
- 1:50:36are plans and which ones could
- 1:50:39just be who knows what.
- 1:50:41Is there, per chance in this room, like,
- 1:50:43one of those long tubes that you put, like,
- 1:50:46papers in. I'm going to just start,
- 1:50:50rolling up papers and just stuffing it
- 1:50:53inside the tube.
- 1:50:54I got an idea.
- 1:50:55I'm going to grab the. The ground and just sort of
- 1:50:58fling it up. Kind of like a mall
- 1:51:01has those sliding garage door
- 1:51:04type gates. Grab the floor and
- 1:51:07barricade all the papers behind
- 1:51:10said constructive wall. I'm, making sure they can't
- 1:51:13get to these papers while we try and go get
- 1:51:15someone who can maybe tell.
- 1:51:17Us what we're looking for. So, as you bring up these
- 1:51:19walls, there's definitely a bit of a slamming noise that kind of
- 1:51:22emanates, and eventually you hear the double door.
- 1:51:25Somebody outside the double doors tries to open them. You hear the voice say,
- 1:51:28what's going on in there? Commander, is that you?
- 1:51:31Yes. Who is that? I don't recognize your
- 1:51:34voice.
- 1:51:34And the slamming against the door gets more and more
- 1:51:37violent, and then eventually there's a crash as he sort
- 1:51:40of, like, punches through the door. And then all of a
- 1:51:43sudden, he.
- 1:51:44Goes, wait a minute.
- 1:51:45Oh, crap. His arm that he just
- 1:51:48punched through the wall or the doors with is now kind of
- 1:51:51stuck.
- 1:51:51I got this. And Bill's just going to walk up. So he punched through
- 1:51:54one of the double doors, right, and stuck in it. So Bill's just going
- 1:51:57to open up the other
- 1:52:00one and just whack him in the back of his head.
- 1:52:03So you quickly pop the door open, he looks at you very
- 1:52:05confused, and immediately
- 1:52:08he is knocked out.
- 1:52:09After I do that, can, like, head down that
- 1:52:12hallway and turn the corner and see if I see
- 1:52:15Mayu and McTuck.
- 1:52:16They just came up the top of the stairs,
- 1:52:19and they seem to be running towards you.
- 1:52:21Okay, I'm going to wave them over.
- 1:52:23All right.
- 1:52:23While he's doing that, can I pull the guard out of
- 1:52:26door and steal his uniform?
- 1:52:28Sure.
- 1:52:28Absolutely. McTuck and Mayu, they run
- 1:52:31by the corner. Then they look into the command center, and
- 1:52:34they see the other two waiting for him in there. And they're like, okay,
- 1:52:37he's got it covered.
- 1:52:38Got the Columba. We weren't sure where the plans were.
- 1:52:41We just started grabbing everything, but there was too much. So
- 1:52:44Brock built this wall to protect him until you got
- 1:52:46here. Oh, yeah.
- 1:52:47There's a handful of important documents I can grab real quick.
- 1:52:50Well, all things considered, I think we got just about everything.
- 1:52:53almost be tempted to just burn the rest.
- 1:52:55I got this. It's my lantern.
- 1:52:58So whatever the case, once we start this, we got to get going, because they're
- 1:53:01going to notice pretty fast when, a whole bunch of fire starts
- 1:53:04kicking in. As you guys run out, you hear.
- 1:53:06A guard shout, hey, what's going on over there?
- 1:53:08And it's the guy from across the way. When he's looking over
- 1:53:11at you, and he's kind of pointing at you guys, he looks over at
- 1:53:14Brock and.
- 1:53:15He says, who are they? Stop them. I got them. Don't
- 1:53:18worry about it. I got them myself.
- 1:53:20Yeah, you get them.
- 1:53:21Get them real good.
- 1:53:22Oh, look, they're going that way. They're going that way.
- 1:53:25I got them.
- 1:53:26And I just run.
- 1:53:26You start to see some bright lights start to emanate from the
- 1:53:29command center as you know that your two
- 1:53:32adult coworkers in this mission have
- 1:53:35probably started the fire. And sure enough, just
- 1:53:38before you disappear into one of the apartment rooms that you guys
- 1:53:41came from, you look back and you see Mayu, Yinyu
- 1:53:44and, Mactuck sneak out of the room and start
- 1:53:46heading back over to the east side. One by
- 1:53:49one, each of you runs to the window, and you start climbing down onto the
- 1:53:52ground floor. You guys have reached the bottom. You're about to
- 1:53:55decide where to go. And sure enough, coming from around the building, you
- 1:53:58see Wang long himself. Wang long looks
- 1:54:01over towards you. He squints his eyes, and he
- 1:54:04sees you, Brock. And something in him. You can see
- 1:54:07something in his eyes. He recognizes you.
- 1:54:10He squints in a glare of hatred
- 1:54:13and distaste. Bill, you look back as
- 1:54:15well, and you have memories of this
- 1:54:18man and some of the
- 1:54:20experiences, both on the boat and even before the boat,
- 1:54:23that you remember him being involved with. they all
- 1:54:26come flooding back into your mind as you start to
- 1:54:29race away around the corner of the building. with your
- 1:54:32friends, you guys are able to escape into the darkness and
- 1:54:34eventually meet back up with Mayu, Yinyu and Maktuk. As
- 1:54:37you all, as a group, head back towards
- 1:54:40the slide. That'll take you back to the
- 1:54:43rescue team squadron. You guys arrive
- 1:54:46back at the rescue team squadron base,
- 1:54:49short of breath, partially from running
- 1:54:52all this way, and also from the big slide, exciting slide that
- 1:54:55you got to take for a second time, you're awarded with some
- 1:54:58medals of your bravery. You all become
- 1:55:01sort of honorary, members of the rescue team
- 1:55:03squadron. What you're left with is you have the
- 1:55:06kalimba, the next clue that's on your list that Mr.
- 1:55:08Okaran has left you. Having remembered the music box that was
- 1:55:11part of your last gift, and an instruction to
- 1:55:14Guohan that there was a series of
- 1:55:17notes, sort of a little diddy, a little song that he would need to
- 1:55:20play.
