Today is Friday, September 4th, 2026. Good morning, everybody. The email Doom Daily Show at gmail.com, everywhere on social media at Jester Dooms, the website www.gestersvoice.com. Go there, pick up yourself an apocalyptic apparel t-shirt, along With leaving us an audio message by using the button at the top of the webpage. All right, all right, let's get serious for a second. It's Friday. We know it's the last day of work week. You're ready to just go in there, breeze through the day, get in, get out, get the fuck home. Now, we've, you know, we've got a little audience feedback over the time we've been doing this show and know y'all consistently listen to this in the morning, it seems like, on your way to work. ⁓ which is perfect, which is fine. I love it, because that means you're up, you're out and about, you're doing your thing, and you know, you're you're rocking and rolling. You're not some lazy bum that's sitting at home doing nothing all day, not contributing to society. Yeah. So anyway, I hope you're having a great morning so far. I hope the coffee's nice and fresh and hot. I hope that just all the good things, man. All the good things. You know, do your daily morning affirmations, you know, do do all the fantastic things, man. Positivity is a great thing to put out into the universe. You put out good, you get good bag. You put out bad, you get bad back. Karma's also a motherfucker. Yeah. So my wife tells me yesterday, she says, you know, you know, Jester, listen. She goes, you just you want to be retired. I was like, what do you mean don't want to be retired? She goes, you don't want work. You want hobbies. And I was like, what the fuck are you talking about? She goes, like all of the things that you try to do for And income. Like these are hobbies. Things that you actually have like certifications in and have gone to school for and stuff. It's like you kind of just want to do that shit part-time. Like you don't want to do that for an actual job. But I'm like, yeah, you know, you know, you're right. I th I think so. I think, I think that you're you're on to something. But I think that says a lot about my views on this 40-hour work week. It says a lot about my views of How the job market is and just all the things I'm always bitching about, how we're sucked into this system that is just never ending. You know, like and and how I'm not sold on it, I'm not buying it. There has to be something better. And even when I was a business owner and I, you know, I I ran my own business, it felt like I just worked more. You know, it was it was all the time like, no, we didn't take Saturdays off. There's money to be made. What are you stupid? Like, you know, and and that's just kind of how it went. And it's and it's really hard when you're self employed and you go through good times and bad times, you want to make the money while you can make it. You know, you want to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak. And ⁓ I think over the years that that may have changed a little bit in in me whi where now I could maybe be like, Fuck it. You know, before when I was working like a dog, I ⁓ had a lot of bills and things I had to worry about. But now I mean it's you know, we're in a really good spot in life. There's no mortgage. There's no rent. You know, we have a little bit of debt, but nothing, you know, nothing crazy. You know, if we got a few paid off cars, got a paid off boat, don't owe anything on the house, don't own anything on the property. We're not drowning in credit card debt or anything. Like we're doing okay. And I think that a lot of people, you know, are I think once they get to that point in life, they can say, fuck you, to a lot of things. And this isn't to be confused with the whole you know, have fuck you money and do what you want type shit. It's that you don't really have to tolerate bullshit because you don't have to. And I've explained this situation to people over the years when it comes to the job thing. You know, most people out there until they reach, you know, the age of, you know, say 40 or 50, are climbing a, you know, this metaphorical mountain, trying to get to the top of it. And the top of it is the paid off house, the paid off cars. you know, no debt, student loans are done, like, you know, all the all the things that you're like working your ass off for years to take care of and actually get achieved. You know, we're at the top of the mountain. Like we we've did it. You know, we've we've accomplished these things. So now we're kind of just kind of, I feel like hanging out on the on the top. We're not skating down the other side. I would consider skating down the other side retirement. You know, that's what I would consider with this metaphorical mountain. But You know, I I've had coworkers come up to me within the last past year and be like, I don't understand why you don't do this and just because I don't need to. I don't have to. You know, I I've I've put my time in, I've worked my ass off, I've done the bullshit and I've done it for years to get where I'm at today. And now I don't fucking have to. You know, I've always heard coworkers over the years talking about like all this crazy shit they've done at work and and how bad it sucked and how much that makes them a man. And I'm like, No, that doesn't make you a man, it makes you stupid. Had a coworker come to me one time and said, man, we're such badasses. We ran a bunch of chainsaws in a confined space with no ventilation. I'm like, no, that doesn't make you a badass. That makes you fucking stupid. Like you wouldn't catch me doing that shit. ⁓ that's because you're a pussy. It's like, no, because I'm not retarded. Like that's that's it. I'm not stupid, so I'm not doing that. ⁓ but perception is everything, right? They perceive that that makes them more manly. I perceive that as their fucking stupid, because you're not going to see me doing that. Pass out of confined space from carbon monoxide poisoning while I'm running a chainsaw. Yeah, seems fucking smart to me. Anyway, producer scooter, let's go to commercial. We'll be back right after these messages. Can't get enough of Jester Dooms? Check out his other show, It's Doomsday Podcast, available on all podcast platforms. That's It's Doomsday Podcast. Back to the show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. Once again, I'm your host, Jester Dooms, on this lovely Friday. I hope your day is treating you well so far. I am not ready to get full on back into the news yet. I I want to talk about vacation. Still, I want to get all this out of my system so next week can be a bright new week. But there's something burning. real bad that I want to talk about. And I haven't put all the pieces of the puzzle together with this. But while I was on vacation, something happened. Two major earthquakes were the start of this. We had one take place above Brazil and we had another one take place above Australia. Okay. And my brain started like tingling when these two earthquakes happened and they weren't that far apart in time frame. And I got a, know, I pulled out, you know, I pulled the globe up on my phone and I'm scrolling around and I'm looking at where these earthquakes hit. And I put something together in my brain, all right? And what I put together was both of these earthquakes are almost dead on the equator, almost on opposite sides of the globe from each other, very close to the same magnitude. Okay. What does that mean? Well, what it means to me is this. And I'm not a I'm not a scientist, I'm not a seismologist, like I don't know the science behind this. Like I don't. This is not my forte. I didn't go to school for it, nothing. But this is what I do know. What I do know is, is if I hit a spherical object on one side, that energy transfers through that spherical object to the other side. So the best way to describe what I'm talking about is. You ever see the little balls on people's like desks and you lift one up and it smacks it and the a the energy transfers through like three or four or five balls and then it bops the other one out and then that one comes back and they just keep swinging. Smack, smack, smack, smack, smack, smack, smack. And then eventually what you see happen is you see balls start grouping together to the point where you've got two sets of balls smacking together. D I see you getting excited over there, producer scooter. Calm down. Calm down. ⁓ anyway, so you have this direct energy transfer through the center of these spheres. And the energy is directional. It's not side to side. It's not dissipating out side to side. It's it's a direct force right through it, right? The same thing can be said, like when you kick a soccer ball, it goes in the direction you're kicking it, right? It does it go to the left, go to the right, it goes in the direction you're kicking it. From that perpetual motion of your foot following through in a direction. Okay. Now, different, totally different from the idea of that concentrated energy going straight through the center of a spherical object. All right. So another example that I can kind of give is you ever see like the videos of the the kids online in gym class and they've got those big like bouncy balls and they run and they bounce into each other and one goes flying, one stands still. You know, because that energy transfer happens. And that's based on whichever kid has the most energy is the one that's remaining standing, but that energy transfer is straight through the center of that ball. It's a concentrated energy, right? Through the center. Okay. So what I'm getting at with this spherical thing in energy transfer is it's very interesting how you have this large Earthquake on one side of the globe and then almost directly on the other side of the globe across from it on the other side of the world, you're getting another giant earthquake. Okay. All right. Now, this to me suggests that we're having a lot of seismic activity taking place deep, deep, deep in the earth. Deep, deep, deep in the earth. Not like beyond the depth of the tectonic plates. Okay. And then what I started to see following in the media were An earthquake every couple days, not a small one, a big one. And then they eloquently dubbed it the Ring of Fire. Now, if you look at the Ring of Fire going around the map and you're looking at where these these earthquakes hit, they're all coastal, right? They all seem to be in this coastal ring around. Okay. Now, the ring of fires, it is interesting, okay, how this is happening. But then what I find even more interesting is We're now having eruptions under the sea that are visible from space. And all these things have already happened. This isn't like this isn't like breaking news. This is all taking place while I was on vacation. Okay. And, you know, trying to take the time to record and do the things, it's it's it's just a little much. Like I I took a Starlink with me this year, and it was just still too hard to find the time. Anyway, so long and the short of this is. We're having shit tons of activity happening beneath the surface of the earth. And a lot I'm sure we're gonna have the global warming nut jobs come out and be like, it's because of the climate change and it's because of this and it's cause of that, and darker, darker, darker, darker, and all these things, right? No. Seismic activity happens, it's it's happened forever, it's gonna continue to happen. Things are moving, things are shifting, erosion happens, sea levels change. There's, you know, the earth is it's the earth is a living, breathing thing. And just like every other living breathing thing, it comes with growth, it comes with changes, it comes with unforeseen circumstance, it comes with problems. I mean, just you know, like you, you grow up, maybe you have some neck pain, you get your neck fixed, you have some back pain, maybe you get that fixed, you got hair coming out of here, hair falling out here, you can't hold your bladder on this day, you shit yourself on this day. Like there's there's issues, right? It's growing. Just like trees. Like not all trees grow perfect. This one might have a branch that goes this way, this one might have the one that goes up. This one might get half as tall as its neighbor and then get struck by lightning or randomly blow down in a windstorm, or get sick, get a disease, and die. Okay, so same concept with the earth. Living, breathing thing, things are bound to change, go wrong, whatever. I honestly think, and this is just me, that this could be the beginning of a continental shift. Now, we're not going to notice this probably in our lifetimes because this takes thousands of years to, you know, to for the continents to actually start like shifting and moving to where it's like a noticeable point. But I would love to see if anybody's out there doing research on this. Because that's what I think is going on. Anyway, we'll be right back after these messages. Hey, producer Scooter here. Now, I'm off the ring of fire kick. We'll probably get back into it. I have already went on to talk I've already talked about the, you know, the vacation and the trip a little bit. And while I was there, I think I got to get like one episode out where I talked about the kind of trials and tribulation of our travel going over, but For those of you guys that don't know what we did, or maybe you missed that episode, we went to Scotland, Ireland, Greece, and flew back to the States and went to Pennsylvania for a wedding and then finally ⁓ drove our way back to the house. And this this whole trip was over a month. Okay. And it was ⁓ a pretty expensive trip. Let we'll put it that way. But this is probably the most expensive trip we've ever taken. All right. And it's mainly like length length of time. We were gone and traveling and and just, you know, rental cars and hotel stays. I mean, the cost just they add up, you know. But I wanted to kind of dive into some things that took place while traveling. first things first, we did not get to experience Ireland a lot because of delays. I had talked about that in a previous episode, but I'll just recap real quick in case you missed it. Tried to get a flight out of our local area. Flight was canceled. Or ⁓ flight was canceled. It was delayed twice, then canceled. So you know, they rescheduled it for the next day. We got a rental car home from the airport because we got a ride there. Okay. So took our ⁓ rental car back to the house, got a message in the middle of the night, flight was canceled. We said, okay, we're gonna have to drive to a an a neighboring airport that has a flight going out. So we end up ⁓ Taking our rental car back to the airport to get a different rental car from the airport to drive to another airport where we could exchange the rental car or turn in the rental car. We got to that airport. Flight was delayed for eight hours or more before we finally got to take off. And we didn't even get to fly out on our original flight. Okay. So at this point, we've been trying to get to this one connecting flight for about 48 hours, somewhere around there. ⁓ Maybe not quite, maybe not quite forty eight, but definitely more than twenty-four hours. So we finally get to our connecting flight. We get there and to that airport, our flight's delayed. Or I'm sorry, flight's not delayed. We missed the flight because of all this bullshit with the other flights being delayed. So we get stuck in this area for an additional twenty-four hours. N thankfully I know somebody in that area. So they picked us up from the airport. We got to hang out with them for the day, which was fine. No problems. All right. Then we got to go ahead and get on our flight and leave the U.S. By this time we've burnt three days. So the time spent in Scotland was one night. That was it. Nice looking countryside from what we saw. But we're definitely gonna have to go back to Scotland in order to experience the country. Okay. So I don't really have much to talk about in the realm of Scotland. But going to Ireland following Scotland was absolutely fantastic. That was no problem at all. Things rolled right on. They were fine, no issues. ⁓ Ireland's absolutely beautiful countryside, doing a little bit of research, found out that Americans can own homes there. They can own cars there. They can own businesses if they have a representative. There's no snakes, which means there's no venomous stakes. There's no poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac. There's no bears, there's no wolves, there's like no, there's no venomous spiders. I think they have one that can cause mild irritation, but that there's like nothing to fear in Ireland. The temperature there was absolutely awesome. It reminded me of October in my area, so nice and cool, fresh, breathable air. It does rain a lot, but it's a very, very, very beautiful climate. I'd love To go back to Ireland. It's on the list of things to do. I think when I go back though, I'm gonna plan things vastly different than how I had planned them this go round. ⁓ yeah, it's just we spent a lot of time in the car hopping from place to place and going to see things like we we got our film Ireland. And we'll be right back after these messages. Hey, producer Scooter here. And if you've made it this far, I just want to commend you for diligent listening skills. But also, I want you to take a moment, since you've come this far with us, send an email to doomdaily show at gmail.com. Let us know where you're listening from. If you have any ideas for something you'd like Jester to address or talk about, send us an email. That's Doom Daily Show at gmail.com. Thanks for listening. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Doom Daily Show. I'm still your host, Jester Dooms. The email is still Doom Daily Show at gmail.com. Reach out to me on social media at Jester Dooms. Make sure to like, share, and subscribe to the show. Okay, so all positive things to say about Ireland. nothing negative. At at some point we might do a little bit more in depth the whole trip to Ireland, what we did, what we experienced, things like that. But right now that's not a priority. Just In order to get the show back to where it needs to be next week, I just want to get through my whole just get these things out of my system. Okay. So we finally leave Dublin and fly into Athens, Greece. Okay. Flight from Ireland to Athens was not a long flight. I would do that flight over again. It was not too bad. We flew, I believe we flew American for that. I believe maybe. Anyway. The f the flight could have been better service wise and and things like that, but the flight was relatively short going over to Athens. Flying into Athens is is, you know, pretty typical. If anybody's ever flown to Greece before, you probably flew into Athens. It's not a very big airport. They have a satellite terminal, so sometimes you walk downstairs onto the tarmac, ⁓ and then you get on a bus and they bring you to the main terminal. Sometimes it's the same way when you're leaving, you know. ⁓ ⁓ you know satellite terminal you're at your terminal waiting they put you on a bus they drive you to the airplane okay so that that's a pretty common thing I've experienced going over there. And that's something I've experienced at at airports internationally. That seems to be a pretty standard thing. You don't experience that too much in the US right anyway so typical Athens we get get off the plane get out we get our bags pretty quick. Athens is pretty damn quick about getting you your bags But also you have a lot of people coming in and getting through customs and, you know, coming into the country. You know, your bags are probably out ten, fifteen minutes before you get through all that bullshit. So we get out of the airport, get picked up by the rental car people. We drive to their little location off site. We get our rental car rental car and then we start our journey from Athens to the village. Now, this is about a four and a half hour drive approximately to get from the airport to where we stay in Greece. I absolutely cannot stand the drive. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. I think next year I might try to break that drive up in some capacity. Cause it is it is a bit ridiculous just getting off a plane and adjusting to the time frame difference and then driving four hours in the car. And then of course where when you get where you're going, you want to have all your creature comforts. So, you know, we hit we hit the grocery store first and we get, you know, get some snacks, get some food, get some liquor, you know, get some juice, get all the things that we need for our time there. and then we fall into the regular motions, you know, wake up in the morning, have breakfast, go to the beach. And it's a repeat kind of cycle thing. You know, just wake up, beach, go home, eat, sleep, wake up, go out to dinner, beach in the morning. Like it's just it's a it's on repeat. The difference with this year it in Greece, we actually ⁓ we hit a few different beaches that we've never hit before. And that was exciting to experience some new beaches. The one beach is like in the curve of this road, and it's like hidden away. You can't really see it from the roadway. Like you gotta walk down in it. But it's a beautiful beach. There's a cave down there. It's not very sandy, it's rocky, but that's okay. there's there's not a lot of Commercialism down there. Like there's none of the sunbeds and shit that they expect you to pay for. There's no h hotels down there or beach bars that have taken over the beach. There's big rock formations you could swim around. And there's kind there's a there's an old story about this beach where some pirate crashed his ship near there or there, found one of the caves and was living in one of the caves. And when people would come down to fish or they were passing through there. He was murdering them and taking their belongings. So the beach has some dark history as well, which I thought was interesting. another thing we did this year in Greece was we went to a freshwater waterfall, right? Well, I guess all waterfalls are freshwater for the most part. ⁓ but we went to this waterfall and it was a pretty technical hike going in. I mean, you got across a bridge with like missing boards. You have to climb over these rock formations on the edge of drop offs and shit to get there. Like it's it's a pretty technical hike going in. All right. And it's pretty sketchy. But we did the hike in, and that's the first time I've swam in freshwater in Greece. And the water there, I guess from the middle c minerals in the water had like a blue white hue to it. Like the water was clear. But the minerals in the water, when they're condensed, it had almost like a blue glow to it to where you couldn't see the bottom, which was creepy at first. But then once you realize there's a bunch of people swimming in this water, and if anything was going to get anybody, it would have already. It was absolutely amazing. And the water was like ice, ice cold. I'd I'd go back there again. It was absolutely amazing. ⁓ so we did that. Great experience. Went and stayed with family members that we, you know, we hang out with them, but we've never like stayed with them. And that was a good experience staying with the one cousins. It was nice, a lot less stressful than it is staying other places. ⁓ what else did we do that was interesting? So we decided, you know, on the day we were, you know, heading back and heading ⁓ to our last final stop before we flew out, we decided we wanted one more beach day. So I was dicking around on Google and found this beach that was like halfway in between ⁓ where we were in in the city of Athens. Right. And we ended up going to this beach that had a freshwater spring that fed the sea. So there was like this wall you could swim under where the spring was. It was kind of sketchy. They had a they they had an area in the sea on the on the edge here where the spring came rushing up into the sea like a almost like an artesian well, like it was coming up into the sea. And This the water pressure was so great. The best way I could describe this is like, you know how like you put your if you're like in a a jet tub or a hot tub, like they have the jets that move the water. Well, it was like that, or like a pool that has the jet. You know, it was like a jet of water, but it was so big you could stand at it, like your whole body. And someone had put a bar in the rock so you could like hold yourself in this jet, and it was huge and it would force your whole body up out of the water. Like it was like hard to Push yourself down into the jet. And just pure fresh spring water, this jet was pushing out. It was absolutely crazy. Now, the trippiest part about this beach, and the weirdest experience about this beach was most places where you go swimming at, the surface water is warm, and the deeper you go, the colder it is. Well, the spring water is sitting on top of the seawater here, and it's ice cold. So You start going into the water in the shallow, you're like, ⁓ my God, this is freezing. Then the then the more you go out, the deeper you get, the more the water gets warm. Right. So when you're swimming in this, your head's above water, your neckline is freezing cold, but then from about your collarbone down is nice and warm from the seawater. So it was a very trippy experience, like cold on top, warm underneath. Like it was a very interesting thing because of the fresh spring water sitting on the surface though, every time you got out, it kind of rinsed the salt water off you. So normally when you go swimming in the salt water, like you want to rinse off because you could feel it. It's like scaly on your body. Like if you put a shirt on, you get itchy because of it. This was rinsing you like every time you got out of the every time you got out of the water. So we sat there, we had some snacks, we swam and played in the water and we we did all this before driving into Athens and really broke up the trip. I think we'll do that every time. I actually made some of my own friends in Greece this year that I that I'm staying in communication with because it's all my wife's family over there. I need some of my own people. So I got some I got some friends now that I stay in contact with and it's really gotta make me work on my Greek. Yeah, but I mean that's about it. I think we're caught up as much as I can be caught up on this trip. Some tidbits might fall out over the next month as we're doing these shows, but we should be good. I think I got most of what I wanted to say out of my system. And we'll be back on Monday with another exciting episode of the Doom Daily Show. If you haven't done so already, make sure to like, share, and subscribe. Have a great weekend, everybody. facts and opinions. This is the Doom Dale.
