• 0:56
  SPEAKER_01: It was spooky indeed.
• 0:57
SPEAKER_01: They were trying to get me off the road.
• 0:59
SPEAKER_01: I saw the the red and blue lights flash behind me.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_01: Unfortunate.
• 1:04
  SPEAKER_00: But great news.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_01: Yep, we did get off with a verbal warning, so it's all good.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_01: 45 to 25, not my best look.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_02: Now we know it's 25 in Waldport.
• 1:16
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_01: Now you know it goes from 55 to 45 to 25.
• 1:19
  SPEAKER_02: You've been warned.
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_01: And about 30 feet.
• 1:21
SPEAKER_01: So be on the lookout.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_02: So that's how that's how our trip started.
• 1:25
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 1:25
  SPEAKER_01: Entrapment.
• 1:27
  unknown: Entrapment.
• 1:28
SPEAKER_00: It was a long drive.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_01: It was a long drive, yeah.
• 1:31
SPEAKER_00: And we went down Malin, Garrett, Don and I, and then Heather and Paul drove separately, so they had just as long of a drive to to meet us there.
• 1:43
SPEAKER_03: Well, we came from Florence because we stayed the night in Florence before, so it took us just that morning, you know, what a half hour.
• 1:53
  SPEAKER_03: But yeah.
• 1:54
SPEAKER_03: The day before, definitely a couple hours.
• 1:57
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:57
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_03: I didn't want to get up at the crack of dawn and drive.
• 2:01
  unknown: Yeah.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_00: It was it was long.
• 2:03
SPEAKER_00: But the lighthouse was in keepers cottage, it was pretty cool.
• 2:07
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 2:08
  SPEAKER_03: It was.
• 2:09
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's crazy to think that that's been around for what was it?
• 2:13
  SPEAKER_03: What what 1894?
• 2:16
  SPEAKER_03: 94.
• 2:17
  SPEAKER_03: That's right.
• 2:17
  SPEAKER_03: Because that's the Wi-Fi up house.
• 2:19
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 2:20
  SPEAKER_03: 1849.
• 2:22
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right.
• 2:22
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:23
  SPEAKER_03: Looks beautiful.
• 2:24
  SPEAKER_02: It was cool.
• 2:25
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:25
SPEAKER_02: It was I don't know, not vintage, but the inside was actually pretty well taken care of.
• 2:31
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:31
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:31
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_00: Very well cared for.
• 2:33
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:34
  SPEAKER_00: But spooky.
• 2:36
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:37
SPEAKER_00: Or not ever staying there.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we get we get there.
• 2:41
  SPEAKER_02: We get there.
• 2:41
SPEAKER_02: Heather and Paula are already there.
• 2:43
SPEAKER_02: And we have a table just for the six of us to ourselves.
• 2:46
SPEAKER_02: And after our drive, us girls, we had to go to the bathroom.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_02: So we go upstairs, because that's where the bathroom is.
• 2:55
SPEAKER_02: And up the stairs is also three other rooms.
• 2:58
SPEAKER_02: It's the Mariner's room, Victoria's room, and then the innkeeper.
• 3:04
SPEAKER_00: There's an it there's some kind of innkeeper's room.
• 3:06
SPEAKER_02: Is that what it's it was called?
• 3:07
  SPEAKER_02: Something?
• 3:08
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 3:08
  SPEAKER_01: The lightkeeper's room.
• 3:09
  SPEAKER_02: The lightkeeper's room?
• 3:11
  SPEAKER_02: Sure.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_02: And then the b the door to the bathroom is up there.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_02: So Heather goes to the bathroom first, and mom and I are waiting at the top of the stairs, and all of a sudden we hear a crashing noise from our left in one of the rooms.
• 3:23
  SPEAKER_03: Then your guys' eyes.
• 3:27
  SPEAKER_02: She grabbed me.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_03: Her eyes were huge, like she was like It was it was scary.
• 3:32
SPEAKER_02: It sounded like something came crashing down.
• 3:34
  SPEAKER_02: Crashing down.
• 3:36
SPEAKER_02: And they didn't have any guests there at that time.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_00: No, because the cleaning lady walked out of the other room and then opened the door and then was up.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_02: And went into that room.
• 3:44
SPEAKER_02: So she was not in the room already when we heard that noise.
• 3:48
SPEAKER_02: In that room, we looked it up after that happened.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_02: That room was the one that has the most haunted activity because it has access to the attic.
• 3:56
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 3:56
SPEAKER_02: Where Rue seems the ghost of Roo haunts.
• 4:01
SPEAKER_02: So that was pretty like minute five.
• 4:04
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 4:05
  SPEAKER_00: That we were there.
• 4:06
  unknown: Yeah.
• 4:06
  SPEAKER_00: That was unsettling.
• 4:07
SPEAKER_00: And then the creature in the bathroom.
• 4:09
  SPEAKER_03: Right.
• 4:10
SPEAKER_03: That in and of itself was creepy.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_02: I'll I'll post a picture of the of the little statute.
• 4:16
  SPEAKER_03: Light keeper.
• 4:17
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, little lightkeeper gnome in the corner with huge dark eyes that looked so real.
• 4:24
  SPEAKER_02: I so creepy.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_03: I couldn't look at it long to see that.
• 4:29
SPEAKER_02: I think Garrett said he covered it with toilet paper.
• 4:30
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, I covered its eyes.
• 4:31
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 4:32
  SPEAKER_01: Its eyes were weird.
• 4:34
  SPEAKER_02: Oh they looked real.
• 4:36
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you could have convinced me it was like taxidermy, like first lightkeeper.
• 4:40
  SPEAKER_03: Uh huh.
• 4:40
SPEAKER_01: Just toss them in there.
• 4:41
SPEAKER_03: What if there's cameras in his eyes?
• 4:44
  SPEAKER_01: That too.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_01: It was just something about it.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_02: Well, Garrett didn't you try to turn it away too?
• 4:48
SPEAKER_01: And it Yeah, I think it was pretty heavy.
• 4:50
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_01: I try I tried to I tried to move it, but nah, it didn't work.
• 4:53
  SPEAKER_01: Really?
• 4:54
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_01: I just didn't want bro staring at me while I'm going to the bathroom.
• 4:57
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_02: So right off the bat, it was pretty, pretty spooky.
• 5:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and we didn't know the vibe of how people were going to be there, right?
• 5:05
SPEAKER_00: We didn't know what their thoughts were going to be.
• 5:07
SPEAKER_00: And this was a brunch, so it, you know, could have just been very normal.
• 5:14
SPEAKER_00: But the manager there after our brunch when he was talking to us, you know, about the different ghost sightings and the things that they have, and then us looking at the ghost books.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_00: I mean, clearly, um, everybody knows there's ghosts there.
• 5:27
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 5:28
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 5:28
  SPEAKER_00: That's that's not true.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_03: And that took it to another level for me because these were just random people who have stayed there on just regular letter, you know, line paper with pen, pencil, writing a note.
• 5:43
SPEAKER_03: You know, these weren't like made up or typed or just random.
• 5:46
SPEAKER_03: These were people that stayed there.
• 5:48
  SPEAKER_02: Some were very old.
• 5:48
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 5:49
SPEAKER_02: These were these stories from former people that have stayed there were in binders and they were on one of the tables.
• 5:55
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 5:56
SPEAKER_02: And one was full of stories from people, and then the other one was full of articles that have been written about the place.
• 6:02
SPEAKER_02: But some of the stories, like you said, were written down and they were from like 1990 something.
• 6:08
  SPEAKER_02: Seven or seven.
• 6:09
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 6:09
SPEAKER_03: There were some pretty What was the latest?
• 6:12
  SPEAKER_03: 2022?
• 6:13
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 6:14
SPEAKER_00: I think there were some that yeah, that got up into the two you know 2020.
• 6:18
SPEAKER_02: Some were like typed emails, others were handwritten.
• 6:20
SPEAKER_03: And you and you know these weren't young people writing these because of the cursive.
• 6:23
  SPEAKER_03: Yes.
• 6:24
SPEAKER_00: Some of them that cursive was so tough to read.
• 6:26
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 6:27
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_02: We talked to, is that who he is, the manager there?
• 6:30
  SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
• 6:31
  SPEAKER_03: The house manager.
• 6:32
  SPEAKER_02: Um, about his.
• 6:33
SPEAKER_02: Of course, we had to ask, what do you know about the ghosts?
• 6:36
SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, we have to ask everyone.
• 6:37
SPEAKER_00: I mean, right, the work the workers there.
• 6:39
SPEAKER_00: I mean, if anyone's going to encounter ghosts, it's going to be more likely a worker than it would be just rant random person.
• 6:45
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 6:45
SPEAKER_03: Were you guys there yet when I asked the younger guy?
• 6:48
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was the older guy, the manager, and then the younger guy.
• 6:50
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
• 6:51
SPEAKER_02: Didn't he say he was cleaning up and then he heard something whisper in his ear his name or something like that?
• 6:57
SPEAKER_02: And there was only one other person there, the girl.
• 7:00
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 7:00
SPEAKER_03: And he's like, Did you say something?
• 7:02
  SPEAKER_03: She's like, What?
• 7:03
  SPEAKER_03: No.
• 7:04
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 7:04
SPEAKER_03: I mean, that was and he's only been there in a year.
• 7:07
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 7:07
  SPEAKER_03: A year.
• 7:07
SPEAKER_03: So that happened within the last year.
• 7:09
  SPEAKER_03: It's crazy.
• 7:11
  SPEAKER_00: Spooky.
• 7:12
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think the most compelling story was the story of the person who was there with her husband and it was raining.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_00: And they were, you know, all those noises were the closet doors were opening and shutting.
• 7:25
SPEAKER_00: And then the room door opened.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_00: And then outside the window they wrote it was written.
• 7:33
  SPEAKER_00: Because it was foggy R, a U, and then the E.
• 7:36
SPEAKER_02: In the window on the outside of the room.
• 7:39
SPEAKER_02: And they took a picture of it.
• 7:40
SPEAKER_02: And the room was on the second story.
• 7:42
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 7:42
  SPEAKER_02: So scary.
• 7:43
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's not.
• 7:45
SPEAKER_02: Did you take a picture of that?
• 7:47
  SPEAKER_02: Paul did.
• 7:47
  SPEAKER_02: He did?
• 7:48
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 7:48
  SPEAKER_02: Paul took a picture.
• 7:49
SPEAKER_03: So we you could post that.
• 7:51
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean that that was actually, you know, because some of the stories.
• 7:55
SPEAKER_00: Um, one of the stories I thought was interesting the they left in the binder, even said at the end, remember it had the little star, my mom made this up, or you know, my my mom tricked me, or so there was a but but they left that in there.
• 8:09
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I think that shows that you know they're they were putting everything in there and they're they're not filtering then.
• 8:15
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 8:16
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 8:16
SPEAKER_00: And that they do have ghost hunters coming next month.
• 8:20
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 8:20
SPEAKER_02: Yes, we were given the exclusive.
• 8:22
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 8:23
SPEAKER_02: That I guess I don't know what show or who's coming, but the manager said that sometime in June people were coming to do an investigation.
• 8:33
  SPEAKER_03: So cool.
• 8:34
SPEAKER_02: I wonder if it'll be a show or a video or you know, something that we'll be able to watch it and it'll be cool to just have been there and know, right?
• 8:41
SPEAKER_00: As if what would how we follow up and watch it to see what happens.
• 8:45
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 8:47
SPEAKER_03: And I mean, side note, I mean it was it was beautiful.
• 8:50
SPEAKER_03: It you know, if you like that kind of thing, but it like the bathroom was very pretty.
• 8:55
SPEAKER_03: You know, you could see it is a kind of a lovely place to stay.
• 8:58
SPEAKER_03: Uh not my taste necessarily, but it it wasn't like creepy, like an old no, no, it wasn't decrepit or like falling apart.
• 9:06
SPEAKER_03: No, it was and the the food presentation of the brunch was beautiful, the food was fine, great.
• 9:11
SPEAKER_00: Oh, the food, I mean the chef was amazing.
• 9:13
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you think, Garrett?
• 9:14
  SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, definitely.
• 9:17
SPEAKER_03: I mean the experience that we had just for brunch was great.
• 9:20
SPEAKER_02: It was yeah, it was it was nice.
• 9:22
SPEAKER_02: It was uh what I drive.
• 9:24
SPEAKER_00: We left a suggestion that they should start with mimosas.
• 9:28
  SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, yeah.
• 9:30
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, instead of just tea and coffee.
• 9:33
  SPEAKER_02: Yes, tea memosas, yeah.
• 9:35
  SPEAKER_01: That's a good idea.
• 9:36
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 9:36
SPEAKER_03: On that windy stair though, going up and down to go potty, it could be tricky after a beverage.
• 9:42
SPEAKER_00: But it sounds like they do have a lot of weddings and stuff there.
• 9:45
SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of activity that goes on.
• 9:48
SPEAKER_02: Well, and the brochures said they had five bathrooms in that place.
• 9:51
SPEAKER_02: So I wonder if the rooms have bathrooms in them.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_01: Oh I would hope so.
• 9:56
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 9:59
  SPEAKER_01: I would hope so.
• 10:00
SPEAKER_02: One bathroom for they must just have one for the public or you know, people that are only there for brunch.
• 10:06
  SPEAKER_01: Didn't they have a basement?
• 10:07
SPEAKER_01: Were there bathrooms down there maybe?
• 10:09
  SPEAKER_02: Oh no, basement.
• 10:11
  SPEAKER_01: Ew.
• 10:12
SPEAKER_01: I thought there was like windows down there.
• 10:14
  SPEAKER_02: Oh.
• 10:15
  SPEAKER_02: I know what you're talking about.
• 10:17
  SPEAKER_02: The by the garden?
• 10:18
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 10:19
  SPEAKER_02: Stairs to go.
• 10:20
  SPEAKER_02: Stairs are downstairs.
• 10:21
SPEAKER_02: When I saw the black cat.
• 10:23
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 10:23
SPEAKER_02: Heather saw a black cat.
• 10:25
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 10:26
  SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, I don't know if they maybe it's a cellar.
• 10:30
SPEAKER_00: But the other weird thing was the signs that they had to say, don't if someone knocks at the door, don't answer it.
• 10:35
SPEAKER_00: Which I know wasn't about ghosts or anything, it was about the public.
• 10:38
SPEAKER_00: But it just did add the creepy end of where all these signs that said, like, if someone knocks at the door, don't answer it.
• 10:43
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 10:44
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_00: And that's not something common you see in an airbag.
• 10:46
SPEAKER_02: But also it is because the trail to the actual like you can hike to the lighthouse aside apart from going just to the lightkeepers cottage.
• 10:55
SPEAKER_02: So it's probably just a pug trail.
• 10:58
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 10:59
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 11:00
SPEAKER_02: But I don't know, for a hundred place, it was pretty pretty cute.
• 11:04
  unknown: Yeah.
• 11:05
  SPEAKER_00: It wasn't scary.
• 11:06
  SPEAKER_00: I wasn't the views.
• 11:08
  SPEAKER_00: They were amazing.
• 11:10
  SPEAKER_00: What?
• 11:11
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the views, and even that bridge was beautiful.
• 11:14
  SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah.
• 11:15
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 11:16
SPEAKER_03: From the house, that view of that bridge.
• 11:18
SPEAKER_03: And the oceans and uh yeah.
• 11:21
SPEAKER_03: And then their little gift shop that probably was a horse.
• 11:25
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, probably Carrie's house or something.
• 11:28
  SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
• 11:29
SPEAKER_03: So it was a little gift shop.
• 11:31
SPEAKER_03: They had lots of little trinkets.
• 11:33
SPEAKER_03: Trinkets, little tchotchkis for the lighthouse.
• 11:36
SPEAKER_03: Liam would have loved it.
• 11:37
  SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah.
• 11:38
  SPEAKER_03: All the little things.
• 11:39
  SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
• 11:39
  SPEAKER_01: Don't nah.
• 11:41
  SPEAKER_01: Don't bring him there.
• 11:42
SPEAKER_03: But it was cute, like farm to table.
• 11:44
SPEAKER_03: Like they had a lot of farm or a lot of garden um little boxes outside.
• 11:48
SPEAKER_03: And they say everything they try to use from the garden, you know, or locally sourced or whatever.
• 11:55
  SPEAKER_03: That was neat.
• 11:56
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 11:56
  SPEAKER_03: But yeah, no.
• 11:58
SPEAKER_03: No amount of money could get me to spend the night there ever.
• 12:01
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 12:01
SPEAKER_03: Can you imagine how dark it would be up there at night?
• 12:03
  SPEAKER_03: No.
• 12:04
  SPEAKER_03: No.
• 12:04
  SPEAKER_03: Oh no.
• 12:05
SPEAKER_00: Well, and even getting there from the road, right?
• 12:08
  SPEAKER_00: Is is so white.
• 12:09
SPEAKER_00: Like if you had to leave in a hurry, forget it.
• 12:10
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 12:12
SPEAKER_01: And isn't the lighthouse under construction?
• 12:15
  SPEAKER_03: So the actual light.
• 12:17
SPEAKER_03: Like I don't know if you saw, but I read about it first and then I saw there was a white sheet around like where the bulb is or whatever.
• 12:24
SPEAKER_03: Because they're trying to find just the right company or person who who knows how to fix it or something.
• 12:31
  SPEAKER_02: Really?
• 12:31
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know that.
• 12:32
SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, so there's no lights then.
• 12:33
  SPEAKER_01: That's that's bad.
• 12:35
  SPEAKER_02: This is really dark.
• 12:36
SPEAKER_02: So you're just like in the hills and the trees, and it's and you're the only house there.
• 12:42
SPEAKER_00: We should score this bird.
• 12:44
SPEAKER_00: We should score the cottage since we've been there for a creepy factor.
• 12:48
SPEAKER_02: I feel like the downstairs wasn't very creepy.
• 12:50
SPEAKER_00: If you didn't know what it was.
• 12:52
SPEAKER_00: Like if you just walked in and thought it was an Airbnb.
• 12:54
SPEAKER_00: Just a quaint little house.
• 12:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you would just think, okay.
• 12:57
SPEAKER_02: I liked all the pictures that they had and the stuffed about the history and the old keepers and the families.
• 13:03
SPEAKER_02: And like that's cool that they all the personal photos.
• 13:06
SPEAKER_00: Some of them were weird.
• 13:07
SPEAKER_02: Some were cool, but it had like children holding dolls or or just a picture of a doll or or the short man.
• 13:15
SPEAKER_02: Or the short man and the tall woman.
• 13:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the guy stand on the box.
• 13:18
SPEAKER_02: I guess some were a little bit strange, but if you didn't know that, I think it would just be like, oh, this is a historical building.
• 13:27
SPEAKER_02: But the upstairs is creepy.
• 13:29
SPEAKER_02: So downstairs I give like a four.
• 13:31
SPEAKER_02: Upstairs I'll probably give it a seven or an eight.
• 13:34
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 13:34
SPEAKER_02: I would not, I mean, I wouldn't stay I wouldn't have stayed there like even even after I knew that thing was in the bathroom, it still scared me when I walked in the second time.
• 13:43
  SPEAKER_02: The Dark Eyes.
• 13:44
  SPEAKER_02: Startling.
• 13:45
SPEAKER_00: So it's Yeah, I mean, even talking about it in episode 14, you know, it was creepy.
• 13:50
SPEAKER_00: But I think being there, especially being upstairs and hearing the noise that we heard, you know, I just that was really um and and hearing the stories from the workers that, you know, I mean, they do have encounters with a ghost or ghost.
• 14:03
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, for me, yeah, it's a I mean, I'm just gonna be honest, it's a ten.
• 14:10
  SPEAKER_00: Wow, yeah.
• 14:12
  SPEAKER_01: Garrett.
• 14:13
SPEAKER_01: I would give the downstairs a solid one.
• 14:17
SPEAKER_01: Upstairs, specifically the bathroom, is a ten for sure.
• 14:21
SPEAKER_02: When I first weird vibes in the bathroom.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_01: When I first opened that door and I saw a small dark statue chilling there, I thought it was a person, and I walked in on someone.
• 14:31
SPEAKER_01: So not the best, uh, not the best first impression.
• 14:33
SPEAKER_01: And then the eyes got me.
• 14:36
SPEAKER_01: They were like a like an or like a dog's eyes.
• 14:39
SPEAKER_01: I just was not a big fan.
• 14:40
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're good.
• 14:41
  SPEAKER_01: Would not recommend.
• 14:42
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I would say creepy for me, probably a seven under the circumstances.
• 14:50
SPEAKER_03: I mean, if it was night or if I had to stay there, I mean it would be a 20 for sure.
• 14:54
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but it was, you know, during the day and the view was beautiful.
• 14:58
SPEAKER_03: We had good food, my friends were there, you know.
• 15:00
SPEAKER_00: So it was a great atmosphere.
• 15:03
SPEAKER_00: Like I'm really glad we did it for a day an adventure, yeah, for the day.
• 15:06
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_00: But we're not taking any of those types of adventures at night.
• 15:09
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be that ambitious again.
• 15:11
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no, no.
• 15:12
SPEAKER_00: So I just, you know, we did the night one and uh that spooked me.
• 15:16
SPEAKER_00: And now we've done the the day one, but hearing the ghost, you know, night one.
• 15:21
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, with uh the jogger.
• 15:24
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, okay.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_00: Oh how can we forget the joggers?
• 15:28
SPEAKER_01: Sorry, that was well we didn't see it, so thank goodness, or else we would have crashed the car.
• 15:34
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, overall it was great, and it was actually it's a beautiful place, the Hasid ahead lighthouse.
• 15:39
SPEAKER_00: I mean, if people haven't been there and you're happen to be driving through Yaha's, hey.
• 15:45
SPEAKER_00: But on the way back we did stop and see the sea lions and oh you did seals, yeah, and we heard a market that was that was pretty fun.
• 15:53
SPEAKER_03: That's I I'd never been past there, and it's like literally right off the road.
• 15:57
  SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
• 15:57
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 15:58
SPEAKER_03: You have to be careful.
• 16:00
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 16:00
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 16:01
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 16:01
SPEAKER_02: So it was a nice little scenic drive.
• 16:04
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 16:05
SPEAKER_01: Minus part where I got pulled over.
• 16:06
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was.
• 16:07
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, nice and scenic.
• 16:09
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 16:09
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 16:10
  SPEAKER_02: Garrett learned his lesson.
• 16:11
  SPEAKER_02: Now he's a he's a rule follower.
• 16:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you could say that.
• 16:14
SPEAKER_02: Alright, so that's that's the end of our recap.
• 16:19
SPEAKER_02: So now we're gonna be talking about after death communications because both Heather and Mom have had their own experiences, so we're gonna get into those.
• 16:28
SPEAKER_02: So paranormal psychology and bereavement studies defined ADCs in the 1990s as a spiritual experience that occurs when someone is contacted directly and spontaneously by a deceased family member or friend.
• 16:40
SPEAKER_02: ADCs don't have a clear or singular way that one might experience them.
• 16:45
SPEAKER_02: Some have auditory experiences while fully conscious, others have had dreams or meditations that are symbolic in nature.
• 16:52
SPEAKER_02: For others, lights can flick on and off, one might see full operation or smell the perfume of the person who died.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_02: But ADCs consist of at least one of the senses and occur without the use of mediums, psychics, or any other spiritual aid.
• 17:05
SPEAKER_02: So while not fully explored until more recently, interests and encounters with those who have died has existed for centuries.
• 17:11
SPEAKER_02: An article written by Bill and Judy Guggenheim, who coined the term ADC, recounts that one of the earliest accounts of one appeared in On Divination by Roman Marcus Publius Cicero, written circa 45 BC.
• 17:26
SPEAKER_02: He says, there were two comrades from Arcadia traveling together, and that when they reached Megara, one of them went to the inn while the other accepted the hospitality of a friend.
• 17:35
SPEAKER_02: He said his friend finished their evening meal and retired.
• 17:38
SPEAKER_02: In his slumber, our guest dreamed that his traveling companion appeared to him and said, The innkeeper has murdered me, flung my body into a cart, and covered it with dun.
• 17:47
SPEAKER_02: Please I beg you, be at the gate early in the morning before the cart can leave town.
• 17:51
SPEAKER_02: Stirred to the depths of his being by the stream, he confronted at dawn the rustic who was driving the cart at the gate.
• 17:57
SPEAKER_02: The wretch took to his heels in dismay and fright.
• 18:00
SPEAKER_02: Our friend then recovered the body and reported the murder to the proper officials.
• 18:03
SPEAKER_02: The innkeeper was duly punished.
• 18:06
SPEAKER_02: So that's the first record of ADCs happening.
• 18:09
  SPEAKER_02: Yes.
• 18:10
SPEAKER_01: What if it was him and his conscience was speaking to him?
• 18:14
  SPEAKER_02: Maybe.
• 18:15
SPEAKER_02: But that wasn't the case.
• 18:16
SPEAKER_02: And it's all made up.
• 18:17
SPEAKER_01: Framed it on the guy.
• 18:19
SPEAKER_02: So ADCs are fascinating in that they can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, etc., and are found to exist in nearly every society and spiritual tradition.
• 18:29
SPEAKER_02: For researchers, investigating ADCs is difficult due to lack of physical facts and instead psychological function.
• 18:37
  SPEAKER_02: In 1967, Dr.
• 18:38
SPEAKER_02: Ian Stevenson founded the Division of Perpetual Studies, which is a part of the Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and remains one of the only research groups dedicated to the study of human consciousness.
• 18:53
SPEAKER_02: In addition to ADCs, they study past lives, near-death experiences, and more.
• 18:58
SPEAKER_02: In their book Hello from Heaven, published in 1995, researchers Bill and Judy Guggenheim collected and published over 3,300 first-hand interviews and accounts of ADCs, which remains one of the largest collective studies done on the subject.
• 19:11
SPEAKER_02: The research went to show that ADCs are spontaneous, subjective, and that they aren't contained to one demographic.
• 19:17
SPEAKER_02: An article from Psychology Today reports that research indicated 25% to 60% of bereaved individuals worldwide report some form of afterdeath communication.
• 19:28
SPEAKER_02: In the United States, approximately half of the population has documented such experiences, with 44% occurring within the last year.
• 19:36
SPEAKER_02: For a long time, those who experience ADCs were reluctant to share with others due to the fear of the others questioning their sanity or dismissing their experience as a dream or potential hallucination.
• 19:46
SPEAKER_02: Current studies like the ones conducted at University of Virginia emphasize the positive impact ADC can bring to individuals who are grieving at death.
• 19:54
SPEAKER_02: They found that in many cases, individuals report reduced fear of death and an increased sense of meaning, connection, and hope.
• 20:01
SPEAKER_02: University of Virginia professor and clinical psychologist Dr.
• 20:05
  SPEAKER_02: J.
• 20:05
SPEAKER_02: Kim Penbirthy said, I found that honoring these stories, listening without judgment, is in itself therapeutic.
• 20:11
SPEAKER_02: Whether or not we can prove the metaphysical truth of an ADC, we can appreciate its psychological significance.
• 20:18
SPEAKER_02: We can ask what did it mean to the person?
• 20:20
SPEAKER_02: How did it shape their grief?
• 20:21
SPEAKER_02: And what might it reveal about the human need for connections even across the apparent boundary of death?
• 20:26
  SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
• 20:27
SPEAKER_02: I found that people are actually looking into it for real disease and other metaphysical things.
• 20:33
SPEAKER_02: But I don't know, it was such like a widely researched thing.
• 20:36
  SPEAKER_03: Fascinating.
• 20:37
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it really is.
• 20:38
SPEAKER_03: I mean I think it's like ghosts, you know, if it doesn't if you don't experience it, it's probably really hard to believe.
• 20:43
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 20:44
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 20:45
  SPEAKER_02: I b I bad I haven't had one.
• 20:47
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, have you?
• 20:48
  SPEAKER_01: Nope.
• 20:48
  SPEAKER_01: Not that I remember.
• 20:50
  SPEAKER_00: Ma, have you?
• 20:51
  SPEAKER_00: I mean I've had one, yeah.
• 20:52
SPEAKER_00: But I I was too little to actually I don't remember it myself.
• 20:56
SPEAKER_00: But it's a family story that's carried on and on and on for what like that's right.
• 21:02
  SPEAKER_00: Forty eight years.
• 21:05
SPEAKER_00: So while I was too small to remember it, I was only I guess I was almost four.
• 21:11
SPEAKER_00: So um but it's just a a story that's been told over and over and over, so we all we all know the story.
• 21:18
SPEAKER_00: So I'm aware of it, but only because it's like when you see pictures and you've gone to Disneyland and you're little, of course you don't r remember Disneyland, but you can look at the pictures and oh yeah, that that makes sense.
• 21:30
SPEAKER_00: But for me hearing the stories the same story over and over and over, you know, I've no doubt that it it's true.
• 21:38
SPEAKER_00: I don't know why anyone would make it up.
• 21:40
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 21:41
SPEAKER_00: But Okay, what's the story?
• 21:44
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so my uncle, my dad's brother, um, committed suicide and they lived in Michigan and my parents lived in Oregon.
• 21:54
SPEAKER_00: And so after his um suicide, his uh wife was Catholic.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_00: And so she wanted a full Catholic Mass and service for him as well as open casket.
• 22:07
SPEAKER_00: And unfortunately he had shot himself in the head, so they had to do pretty significant work, it sounds like, for him to have the open casket.
• 22:18
SPEAKER_00: My sister was seven, my older sister, and my younger sister was would have been like two.
• 22:23
SPEAKER_00: And so we didn't go to the funeral.
• 22:26
SPEAKER_00: We stayed at um my grandparents' house.
• 22:29
SPEAKER_00: And the night of the funeral, the the story has a a little bit of uh variance depending on now, you know, how the story has changed.
• 22:39
SPEAKER_00: So um I'm in my bed and my my uncle appears at the foot of my bed and I'm talking to him.
• 22:49
SPEAKER_00: And the the one variation is that my parents hear me talking and come up to see what's going on, because they're in, you know, some nearby bedroom and ask what's gone on, and I tell them that I was talking with my my uncle Mark and that he told me to tell my dad that everything was going to be okay.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_00: The other version of the story is I had made it from the bedroom to the hallway where my parents caught up with me, you know, wandering the hallway, and I told them, you know, the the same type of story.
• 23:18
SPEAKER_00: Either everything was going to be okay or he was going to be okay.
• 23:22
SPEAKER_00: But um, and my sister being seven, she remembers a story.
• 23:26
SPEAKER_00: And like I said, it's been told through like most of our family friends have heard the story.
• 23:30
SPEAKER_00: It's something that, you know, like it was just like, I guess, you know, I was a weird one for a while.
• 23:36
SPEAKER_02: Well, you even called both of your sisters today just to confirm, hey, I'm not making this up, like this is actually Yeah.
• 23:42
SPEAKER_00: I said I'm gonna go on Madeline's podcast and talk about this, and I need to make sure, like, right, like we all like to I I didn't tell them the story.
• 23:50
SPEAKER_00: I said, you tell me the story so that right, so and um my older sister verbatim.
• 23:57
SPEAKER_00: Like she knew she she just knew exactly.
• 24:00
  SPEAKER_03: And she remembers it.
• 24:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was more impactful for her because she was really good friends with my cousin, my uncle's daughter, and they they stayed in were were to they were together the whole time and even in the basement where my uncle had committed suicide.
• 24:14
SPEAKER_00: So it's so so for her it was very is it um, you know, one of those very first like ri traumatic memories.
• 24:21
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 24:21
SPEAKER_02: But they both remembered it when she asked them.
• 24:24
SPEAKER_02: So but when I asked my grandma, she said she had no clue.
• 24:27
  SPEAKER_00: Really?
• 24:29
SPEAKER_00: Which is so surprising for me because I mean it you know, it was my my parents were there, it would have been really impactful for my dad.
• 24:36
SPEAKER_00: My dad was the oldest brother, so um and I and as we heard the stories as the years went on, it was like it was a really big deal.
• 24:46
SPEAKER_00: Like, because there was some circumstance he didn't even know, you know, like no nobody knew why, what and so I think it was just probably really important for my dad to hear that at the time.
• 24:58
SPEAKER_00: So, like I don't have a memory of it, I was too small, but I do believe that it I mean must have happened like I said, the story has been told.
• 25:08
SPEAKER_02: We have family friends that that well and you had a family that was like very, very religious as well, so it's not like they would have just been making up these stories for No, they wouldn't wanted anyone to know for sure.
• 25:18
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it wasn't like socially probably acceptable, and that's why it got like, you know, I guess it got coined with me.
• 25:29
SPEAKER_03: Well, and they say children are more open to that because you know, they don't have the um like the mental block.
• 25:38
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, the shutoff valve or whatever, like we do.
• 25:41
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, my younger sister told me today, she said, Well, you were the favored one from this from my from my uncle.
• 25:46
SPEAKER_00: And I don't remember that because I don't have interac you know, I don't I don't remember any interactions, so that that part's kind of sad.
• 25:55
SPEAKER_03: Had you met him multiple times?
• 25:57
SPEAKER_03: Do you do you know if oh yeah, oh for sure.
• 26:00
  SPEAKER_03: I know they've lived in Michigan.
• 26:01
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I believe it 100%.
• 26:04
SPEAKER_02: Heather, you you believe it because you've had one yourself as well.
• 26:09
SPEAKER_03: I'm not going to cry either.
• 26:11
SPEAKER_02: It's okay if you cry.
• 26:12
  SPEAKER_03: I don't want to cry.
• 26:13
SPEAKER_03: But I didn't okay, so I'll I'll back up with just a little bit.
• 26:17
SPEAKER_03: So my mom took her life, and um my grandparents have always said this throughout this whole time, and I didn't know if I believed him or not.
• 26:25
SPEAKER_03: Actually, I didn't because I I didn't want to believe it how that's creepy, that doesn't happen, you know.
• 26:30
SPEAKER_03: But my grandpa said that my mom visited her him twice.
• 26:34
SPEAKER_03: Once was at the foot of his bed, also, like you your experience.
• 26:39
SPEAKER_03: Um, that she said he said she just appeared and kind of sat there and he was like, But but there was no communication, it was very peaceful, but she just sat there.
• 26:49
SPEAKER_03: And then another time was um, and he I have this written down it typed, he typed it on a typewriter.
• 26:56
SPEAKER_03: So I do have this at home, the details, but that he because he didn't want to forget it, so he wrote it all down, but that um he had a dream, and in the dream um she appeared, and it was her going through a door and kind of waving goodbye, like, but smiling and happy, like everything was great and gonna be great, and you know, so I'm like, okay, whatever.
• 27:18
SPEAKER_03: And I asked my grandma, do you believe that, grandma?
• 27:21
SPEAKER_03: Did grandpa just lie and say that stuff?
• 27:23
SPEAKER_03: And sh I mean, he he he wasn't a weirdo, he wasn't um overly religious or anything, so I don't know.
• 27:30
SPEAKER_03: I have no nothing else to believe but that.
• 27:33
SPEAKER_03: But then, and so I didn't, you know, I whatever.
• 27:36
SPEAKER_00: And how old were you then?
• 27:37
SPEAKER_03: Um when she died, I was nine.
• 27:40
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
• 27:41
SPEAKER_03: Um, so then a few years ago, my husband's brother died of a drug overdose, and um obviously unexpected, uh, because we thought he was sober.
• 27:54
SPEAKER_03: But um it was I was really close to him.
• 27:56
SPEAKER_03: He was just the greatest human being in the world, the squishiest, scariest guy you would ever meet, tattooed top to bottom, huge, total prison felony, you know, that kind of guy.
• 28:12
SPEAKER_03: But the nicest, most loving, oh, just a really great soul.
• 28:18
SPEAKER_03: Um, so he died on July 6th, a few years ago, and uh we had didn't have his service until it was like I think towards the end of August.
• 28:30
SPEAKER_03: Um, but I don't know, maybe two weeks before his service, so between that, um he came to me in a dream.
• 28:40
SPEAKER_03: And it was the weirdest thing.
• 28:42
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I didn't, I could never imagine, but it was the I guess it goes to say it was just a really spiritual experience because he was floating to me.
• 28:53
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'll just never forget, but he was like floating, but coming towards me, but with the biggest smile on his face, like exuding happiness and and just excitement and like I'm okay, like I'm okay.
• 29:06
SPEAKER_03: Like he he I couldn't hear him say that, but I knew that that's what he was saying, that he was okay, that everything's gonna be okay, just floating towards me, just so glowing and happy.
• 29:17
SPEAKER_03: And like it just because I was devastated.
• 29:20
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it it really hit me hard.
• 29:23
SPEAKER_03: And because I asked my husband, like, why why me?
• 29:25
SPEAKER_03: Why would he do that, you know?
• 29:27
SPEAKER_03: And um my husband said, I maybe because I was so upset.
• 29:31
  SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
• 29:32
SPEAKER_03: I just had a really hard time getting past it.
• 29:34
SPEAKER_03: But um, yeah, so that but that was it.
• 29:37
  SPEAKER_03: It was really it.
• 29:38
SPEAKER_03: It was pretty basic and simple, but it it did make me feel a lot better.
• 29:42
  SPEAKER_03: It was I I could exhale.
• 29:44
SPEAKER_03: I felt like, okay, I know that he's where he kind of, you know, probably wanted to be.
• 29:52
SPEAKER_03: We was so so much loved God.
• 29:55
  SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh.
• 29:57
SPEAKER_03: And he just he knew he knew what was coming, and he was there, and I think he was just saying, I made it, it's real, it's all good.
• 30:05
  SPEAKER_03: See you soon, sis.
• 30:07
SPEAKER_03: So yeah, that was my experience, and it it wasn't scary because I don't do ghosts, as you know.
• 30:13
SPEAKER_03: I don't believe in that stuff, you know.
• 30:15
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and but so this wasn't a bad, scary experience.
• 30:19
  SPEAKER_03: It was really awesome.
• 30:21
SPEAKER_02: And could you tell that it wasn't a dream like it wasn't?
• 30:25
  SPEAKER_03: Yes, very much.
• 30:26
SPEAKER_03: I I can't explain how or why the difference between a dream and this experience, it's so hard to explain.
• 30:36
  SPEAKER_03: Um, I don't I don't I don't know how explained.
• 30:38
SPEAKER_03: But you just you just knew.
• 30:39
  SPEAKER_03: Yes, I knew.
• 30:40
SPEAKER_03: I woke up and just sat up straight in bed and just cried and just was like, okay, okay, everything's gonna be okay.
• 30:48
  SPEAKER_03: I know he's okay.
• 30:49
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 30:50
  SPEAKER_00: That's that's beautiful.
• 30:51
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was really cool.
• 30:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean that's awesome.
• 30:53
SPEAKER_00: Uh especially that you remember it and that and it's a it's a happy, yeah, right?
• 30:57
SPEAKER_00: And it was uh positive experience.
• 31:02
SPEAKER_00: And a lot of times ghosts are or these experiences can be, you know, torment or oh, I'm not a ghost well it's a spirit, yeah.
• 31:13
  SPEAKER_03: I guess essentially, right?
• 31:15
  SPEAKER_03: Somebody's spirit visited you.
• 31:16
SPEAKER_02: I think mom was just saying ghosts in general.
• 31:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like meaning ghosts in general, anything spiritual that we don't necessarily understand can be associated, yeah, with negative energy.
• 31:26
SPEAKER_00: But especially having you the you having the experience of it being so positive.
• 31:30
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
• 31:31
SPEAKER_03: Because I remember always thinking growing up my whole life, thinking, if that happened to me, what happened to my grandpa, I think I would have a heart attack.
• 31:38
SPEAKER_03: Like, truly, like, don't mom, if you can hear me, do not do that to me because I will die.
• 31:43
SPEAKER_03: I would be so scared.
• 31:44
SPEAKER_03: And then it kind of happens, and it was so great.
• 31:49
SPEAKER_03: Like, I wish I feel privileged actually that he chose me.
• 31:53
  SPEAKER_03: Like, why?
• 31:54
SPEAKER_03: Why would he come to me?
• 31:55
SPEAKER_03: You know, like that's so awesome.
• 31:57
SPEAKER_03: I wish everybody could experience that once, or that we could have all of our people visit us like that, you know.
• 32:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and just say it's okay, I'm okay.
• 32:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that that would be nice if you could have that experience with people that you that you miss.
• 32:13
  SPEAKER_01: With some closure.
• 32:14
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 32:15
SPEAKER_03: Because it is, you know, messes with your mind thinking I'm never gonna see this person again.
• 32:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, never gonna talk to them again, and knowing that kind of affirming that it's not the case is is awesome.
• 32:26
SPEAKER_00: I was surprised at how many people in your studies that this impacts because it's it's really significant.
• 32:32
SPEAKER_00: So clearly people just aren't talking about it, right?
• 32:35
  SPEAKER_00: I think it's a stigma.
• 32:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I and I think before the the research that this couple had done in 1995, a lot of the people, like I said, didn't come forward because they were scared of it being labeled as mental illness or hallucinations.
• 32:49
SPEAKER_02: It's like, okay, that's that has its own stigma too.
• 32:52
SPEAKER_02: Because you know, mental health of course isn't as like widely accepted and understood back then either.
• 32:57
SPEAKER_03: So that actually shocks me that '95, that wasn't very long ago.
• 33:02
SPEAKER_03: It's only been since then.
• 33:04
  SPEAKER_03: 1995?
• 33:06
SPEAKER_02: That people start talking about it?
• 33:07
SPEAKER_02: That it was like accepted as a thing.
• 33:10
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, as like its own Wow.
• 33:13
SPEAKER_02: That more than a few people have this type of experience, and so it's like, okay, maybe this should be its own category.
• 33:19
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 33:20
  SPEAKER_03: Like NDEs.
• 33:21
  SPEAKER_03: Yes.
• 33:22
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 33:22
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 33:22
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 33:22
SPEAKER_02: I'd love to do an episode on NDEs too.
• 33:26
SPEAKER_03: I've read a couple books on it, watched movies.
• 33:29
  SPEAKER_03: I love that subject.
• 33:30
  SPEAKER_02: I know.
• 33:31
SPEAKER_02: I was interested to see that that was on this list of categories that this one research group covered.
• 33:37
SPEAKER_02: Like, how do you I don't like how do you how do you study that?
• 33:40
SPEAKER_02: There's not tricks or you know, things to I guess that's what they're looking into.
• 33:46
SPEAKER_02: How do these things happen?
• 33:47
  SPEAKER_02: How do they happen?
• 33:48
  SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
• 33:48
SPEAKER_02: Who are the people it happens to?
• 33:50
  SPEAKER_02: Study the accounts, yeah.
• 33:52
SPEAKER_03: The one book I wrote that it was a doctor, it's thousands and a pastor.
• 33:57
SPEAKER_03: I think it was a doctor and a pastor, but thousands of accounts.
• 34:00
SPEAKER_03: And he took years and years and years to um interview these people, study it all around the world, every country.
• 34:07
SPEAKER_03: You know, he'd go visit and he just took the time and then wrote it all out in a book.
• 34:12
  unknown: Yeah.
• 34:12
  SPEAKER_03: Ooh, that'll be a fun one.
• 34:16
SPEAKER_02: Well, and grief is like one of the most universally experienced emotions by everybody, regardless of race, gender, spirituality, you know, anything which is or how many feet they have.
• 34:27
  SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
• 34:28
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 34:28
  SPEAKER_02: Animals experience yep.
• 34:30
SPEAKER_02: And um things like NDEs and um ADCs are probably a lot more common, but people just need to talk about it more.
• 34:39
SPEAKER_02: And if you have had an ADC or an NDE, please send me an email.
• 34:43

• 34:50
  SPEAKER_01: What?
• 34:50
  SPEAKER_01: Is that near-death experience?
• 34:52
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 34:52
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 34:52
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we already said that.
• 34:54
  SPEAKER_01: I just need a refresher.
• 34:55
