- 0:03Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five wist fucking Basketball, and
- 0:08Speaker 1: they all went a whist. So, yeah, it's too.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Bad, But what did you expect.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whist twenty whine way.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Oh wait oh blow it out with So I would
- 0:22Speaker 2: try to get people ten minutes on non sports at
- 0:24Speaker 2: the beginning, but I feel like we should just rip
- 0:25Speaker 2: the band aid off. Sorry dude, butt your first.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you. I mean it's kind of like I
- 0:30Speaker 1: can have some peace now and just kind of not
- 0:33Speaker 1: be sad all weak.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Like I told you yesterday, your average player is fifteen
- 0:40Speaker 2: years old. On that team, they have a lot of
- 0:41Speaker 2: years left to they are.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Then they're they're all so young. I mean, it was
- 0:46Speaker 1: just like if the games weren't so close, I would
- 0:49Speaker 1: be like, it's okay, you know, we didn't belong to
- 0:51Speaker 1: be there. We didn't belong there anyway, but they were
- 0:54Speaker 1: all so close, and then you know, we didn't even
- 0:56Speaker 1: talk about the twenty nine point comeback, like.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Because we didn't do the show Friday.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I like, so that alone is just like I didn't
- 1:03Speaker 1: even know what to think.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Man Eddie and I were in connecting hotel rooms during
- 1:08Speaker 2: that game. Because we were in Florida during that client event.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I wish we had a door though we didn't have
- 1:14Speaker 1: a door. No, I just left you alone, I know,
- 1:17Speaker 1: but a door would be going to get a hug,
- 1:18Speaker 1: just like hey did Will you lay with me for
- 1:20Speaker 1: a little.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Bit a couple little knocks?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Just lay with me? So I'm not alone?
- 1:24Speaker 4: Are you a hoop?
- 1:25Speaker 2: That's a weird one. I'm sorry, dude, No, I'm glad
- 1:27Speaker 2: the next one. I think it's cool. They haven't one
- 1:29Speaker 2: to fifty years and now they're winning a championship and
- 1:31Speaker 2: we do. You have Steve Novak coming up, who is
- 1:33Speaker 2: analyst with the Knicks, and so I don't know it sucks,
- 1:38Speaker 2: but I do think that you are a very very
- 1:40Speaker 2: very young, young team. Yeah, here's my question. Yeah, is
- 1:45Speaker 2: wemb be French or really unlikable?
- 1:49Speaker 3: He started off French, now he's starting to get unlikable.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Why is he unlikable to you guys? Because he's not
- 1:53Speaker 1: unlikable to me.
- 1:55Speaker 2: He's on your team.
- 1:56Speaker 1: But I mean even if he wasn't, I still like
- 1:58Speaker 1: the guy.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I'm not an anti spur, so I feel like I
- 2:01Speaker 2: can speak on this. It could be a lot of English.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Is a second language, so things aren't coming out in
- 2:09Speaker 2: the way that he would hope for them to, but
- 2:11Speaker 2: things like see you never things like we dominated the
- 2:14Speaker 2: whole game, which I didn't feel like that was a
- 2:15Speaker 2: fair one, because I think he really meant it was
- 2:17Speaker 2: hard for us to lose those games because we did
- 2:20Speaker 2: dominate for most of the game and they came back
- 2:23Speaker 2: and won, but in the end it was we dominated
- 2:25Speaker 2: the whole game.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Thought, that's I think you're right, that's what he was saying.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I think you're right. I think that's what he was
- 2:32Speaker 1: trying to say, is that we dominated most of that
- 2:34Speaker 1: game and then we end up losing it.
- 2:37Speaker 3: So I think he's just young.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I think he's young. He's always won, yeah, until he
- 2:41Speaker 2: got to the NBA. I think he's a little bit unlikable,
- 2:45Speaker 2: but a lot French. I don't think he's a lot unlikable.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I think he's a little bit unlikable and a lot French.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Okay, So like seventy French.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Is it that he's French or that he just speaks
- 2:56Speaker 1: a different language and it's lost in translation?
- 2:58Speaker 2: French? You sound eric, it just naturally the language sounds arrogant.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Tony Parker was French, was heal and Michael.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I didn't see a lot of press conferences. It wasn't
- 3:06Speaker 2: all over social media then true, different time. French, you
- 3:09Speaker 2: sound a little arrogant. Italian. You sound like you want
- 3:12Speaker 2: to bang German.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Always. You just want to bang always German.
- 3:17Speaker 2: You want to box an American number.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Four German you're always pissed.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so yeah, but things when they were down
- 3:25Speaker 2: three one, he's like, I own on, this is what
- 3:28Speaker 2: I want to be. Three one is perfect for me.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I kill you did say that?
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I kind of walk himself into that.
- 3:33Speaker 1: One and that didn't age very well. Yeah, it's not
- 3:36Speaker 1: where you want to be, dude.
- 3:37Speaker 2: The Knicks half the worst colors though, right, oh, don't mind.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I don't mind the blue. I don't hate the orange.
- 3:46Speaker 2: But the blue and the orange together, really, I feel like,
- 3:50Speaker 2: find me a worse two colors. Now, Look, I don't
- 3:53Speaker 2: like green, so you can say the Bucks, but the
- 3:54Speaker 2: Bucks of green and white are green and black. That works.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I think the next together have the worst color.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The blue and the orange is the Mets as well? Right, like,
- 4:04Speaker 1: so is it New York thing?
- 4:06Speaker 2: I didn't think about that. It is kind of a lot.
- 4:08Speaker 4: It kind of looks like a kid's birthday party in
- 4:10Speaker 4: a way.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And you don't like kids or birthday parties.
- 4:13Speaker 4: None at all.
- 4:14Speaker 2: He's anti both.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Calves have always been a bad one for me.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Maroon dark. They're a second color orange orange, Yeah, like
- 4:25Speaker 1: a gold.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess I don't hate it that much, dude.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I wish. I wish the Spurs colors were the ones
- 4:33Speaker 1: that they bust out once in a while, those like
- 4:35Speaker 1: Fiesta colors, you know, light blue, pink, and those are
- 4:38Speaker 1: horrible yellow.
- 4:40Speaker 2: I love that Fiesta. Yeah, he said what it's called
- 4:43Speaker 2: because sometimes they're the crowd late did the crowd like
- 4:45Speaker 2: Fiesta one night?
- 4:46Speaker 1: It's awesome. Every section was the different color, so awesome.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But I don't think they'll do that. They just stick
- 4:51Speaker 1: with a black and silver. I just thought, I hate
- 4:55Speaker 1: the next colors together. Yeah, it's kind of weird.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Yeah, uh so I got more notes.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So where was Taylor? Question? Just a question? Where was
- 5:03Speaker 1: she was? I mean they were not in San Antonio,
- 5:06Speaker 1: I mean the yeah, But I mean I feel like
- 5:08Speaker 1: half of the arena was Knicks fans, which was awesome.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Good for the Knicks fans. I mean obviously they're rich
- 5:13Speaker 1: and they can do that. But like they did travel.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I mean, i'd say the half of the arena were
- 5:18Speaker 1: Knicks fans, right, they did travel well, because like I
- 5:21Speaker 1: would go to the kitchen, you know, get me a
- 5:22Speaker 1: drink or something, and that here, like, I'm all right,
- 5:25Speaker 1: we scored.
- 5:26Speaker 2: You were confused by which.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Nicks great?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Hey, Fox kind of sucked.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Yeah. You just wouldn't expect that from him because he
- 5:34Speaker 1: is the veteran of the team.
- 5:36Speaker 2: He just missing a lot of shots and and I
- 5:38Speaker 2: like it that he had no fear to keep shooting them.
- 5:40Speaker 2: But at some point that fear's got to be met
- 5:42Speaker 2: with the realization of you're not on And I get it,
- 5:44Speaker 2: keep shooting, keep shooting, but man, like just pull ups,
- 5:47Speaker 2: mid range pull ups.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Sometimes I feel like the Spurs forget they have Wemby
- 5:50Speaker 3: on their team.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that just me.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I was like, I haven't watched them all year obviously,
- 5:54Speaker 3: so I didn't know if that was just like a
- 5:55Speaker 3: recent thing or everyone wants to be the hero.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Wemby sucks down though, it's.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Kind of but I mean, okay, he's not the strongest downlough, right,
- 6:02Speaker 1: He's not strong, but he is taller than everyone else,
- 6:05Speaker 1: like he should that's where he should be on the court.
- 6:08Speaker 2: But he was getting bodied by Kat too.
- 6:10Speaker 3: He was yeah cats, I mean obviously a big dude,
- 6:13Speaker 3: but he's a softy two. He was, but not in
- 6:16Speaker 3: this series because of Wimby.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Wmby was soft.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yes.
- 6:19Speaker 1: So back to Fox, the Game four, the comeback game. Uh,
- 6:27Speaker 1: should have held the ball?
- 6:27Speaker 2: He sucked, I mean just back. Well, it's hard to
- 6:30Speaker 2: look back. I know, I'm not even gonna put four
- 6:32Speaker 2: in it because I don't like to do should have
- 6:35Speaker 2: because a lot of things could have happened Game nive
- 6:37Speaker 2: when he kept missing after having the Game four where
- 6:40Speaker 2: it didn't go his way, he kept going and he
- 6:41Speaker 2: just kept and it's like he came out with a purpose. Yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 2: and about halfway through that purpose, when that purpose wasn't
- 6:46Speaker 2: being met, I think it's time to change. I mean,
- 6:48Speaker 2: Dylan Harper is the guy next year. It's not Fox.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And they gotta pay Fox fifty million.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Yeah, they gotta dump him, try to dump them.
- 6:55Speaker 2: So anyway, that that's our basketball minute, Eddie.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm sorry, thank you.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Can I ask one more question to Eddie? You feel
- 7:00Speaker 3: like you got ahead of yourself because you're so confident
- 7:02Speaker 3: playing the Knicks.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I thought that, Yes, I thought the Spurts would win.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I thought they would win. But and yeah, I mean
- 7:13Speaker 1: I think I knew immediately when they won to in
- 7:15Speaker 1: San Antonio that this is going to be a lot harder.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And then yeah, I can't believe they comeback. So it
- 7:21Speaker 2: was over.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It was dajavu every game, It's like, oh, I've seen
- 7:24Speaker 1: this before.
- 7:24Speaker 3: Ten points.
- 7:26Speaker 2: There was a little funny thing about Rod Stewart and
- 7:28Speaker 2: I have some World Cup thoughts because I watched some
- 7:30Speaker 2: World Cups.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Did he canceled the show or some Yeah?
- 7:33Speaker 2: The next day at the World Cup drinking drinks? Yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 2: do you see it?
- 7:37Speaker 1: I saw the picture.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Rod Stewart canceled the show in San Diego Friday night
- 7:41Speaker 2: and then jetted over to Boston for Scotland's World Cup
- 7:43Speaker 2: game against Haiti on Saturday. Even posted video from his
- 7:46Speaker 2: private jet during the trip. Fans aren't happy.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Yeah, this is one of.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Those Hey, if you're too sick to go to school,
- 7:51Speaker 2: you can't play with your friends after school.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Don't make the news.
- 7:54Speaker 2: This is one of those situations. Yeah, okay, you're not
- 7:57Speaker 2: feeling good. Okay, well let's just stay home. But no,
- 8:00Speaker 2: at four o'clock, you can't go outside and ride your
- 8:02Speaker 2: bikes with Michael. Yeah, that's what's happening here.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I'll be calling sick to work. Don't post on social
- 8:07Speaker 3: media that you're out.
- 8:07Speaker 1: There's probably an age though, like Rod Stewart, he's probably
- 8:10Speaker 1: the dgaf ah right eighty one, Like you know, like
- 8:14Speaker 1: if it's a bad look that I canceled the show
- 8:17Speaker 1: and I went to the World Cup, big deal, don't care.
- 8:19Speaker 2: They're also saying, not surprisingly, Rod's catching some heat online.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Here's the thing about eighty one year olds. They probably
- 8:25Speaker 2: don't give a crap out what's online. Right, He ain't
- 8:28Speaker 2: doom scrolling his comments, he doesn't care. Right, let's see.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 8:39Speaker 4: All right?
- 8:39Speaker 2: World Cup notes? I got mine here, number one.
- 8:42Speaker 1: He just wrote notes down.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah, basically, soccer doesn't have two halves. Soccer has four quarters.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Oh at the World Cup does not soccer?
- 8:51Speaker 2: Oh well this is all I watch, so to me,
- 8:53Speaker 2: this is all soccer.
- 8:54Speaker 1: The hydration break doesn't happen in regular soccer.
- 8:56Speaker 2: They only do this during the World Cup.
- 8:57Speaker 1: This is something that FIFA did for the World Cup
- 8:59Speaker 1: because in America's.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Hot, right now, Okay, that's a lie. Well, what they
- 9:04Speaker 2: didn't do it because America's hot. Well they did it
- 9:06Speaker 2: because there's a commercial. Yes, they put in commercial break. Well,
- 9:10Speaker 2: but they call it a hydration Yeah, get over it.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And obviously it's a no brainer to have Power Aid
- 9:15Speaker 1: or Gatorade sponsored the hydration break.
- 9:18Speaker 2: That's not the order. I would almost bet my bottom dollar. No,
- 9:21Speaker 2: what the order is it? It's hot in America, so
- 9:24Speaker 2: let's have a hydration break. Okay, since we're going to
- 9:27Speaker 2: have the break, let's get a sponsor. It's this, how
- 9:29Speaker 2: do we get more money? Let's get a sponsor. Oh,
- 9:32Speaker 2: we should make a hydration break because who's going to
- 9:35Speaker 2: argue it's giving the players hydration.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Very American way of doing things.
- 9:40Speaker 1: My mind did not go there. But it's not it's FIFA.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I don't know if we're FIFA's headquartered. I don't think
- 9:44Speaker 1: it's an America.
- 9:46Speaker 3: But it's in North America. It's all like affiliated somehow.
- 9:48Speaker 3: These dudes play in the Middle East.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I know, and they don't take breaks.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Yeah, so is it again soccer novice. If you're in
- 9:57Speaker 2: the middle of a match, is it like a marathon
- 10:00Speaker 2: where if you're running, you running, grab you get a
- 10:01Speaker 2: drinking and then to keep playing, or you just you
- 10:03Speaker 2: just get no water.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You get no water unless oh no, no, you do
- 10:06Speaker 1: the only time you get water there's an injury. That's
- 10:08Speaker 1: why sometimes people get frustrated with the flopping and the
- 10:11Speaker 1: acting like an injury. It's it's it's techniques, like it's strategy.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Act injured, so dudes can get some water real quick.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So if someone like fell down and at that exact
- 10:20Speaker 2: moment you saw every player spread to the sideline like
- 10:22Speaker 2: it was coordinated, you go, they're thirsty.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like the fake injury in the NFL, and
- 10:28Speaker 3: guys just like go down, go down, because they're like
- 10:30Speaker 3: they're two minute drill. I guess the offense is, you know,
- 10:33Speaker 3: clicking on all cylinders and you're like, let's slow them
- 10:35Speaker 3: down a little bit.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And then when they really like want extra time, the
- 10:38Speaker 1: medic comes out and it's a team medic, right, and
- 10:40Speaker 1: he comes with his little bag and everything and he
- 10:42Speaker 1: sprays stuff on the ankle. What's his spraying on the ankle.
- 10:45Speaker 1: It's nothing, it's hairspray.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Interesting, yeah, hydraction break. To me, it's just a commercial.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Absolutely, yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I thought it was kind of weak.
- 10:53Speaker 3: That's the one thing I do like about soccer is
- 10:55Speaker 3: it's the two halves and he goes by fast.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It doesn't stop. However, question why not if you're going
- 11:02Speaker 1: to do the ad time at the what a stoppage
- 11:04Speaker 1: time at the end of every half? Right, So, like
- 11:06Speaker 1: I explained to my wife, so the clock keeps running
- 11:09Speaker 1: for forty five minutes, doesn't stop, but they do stop
- 11:12Speaker 1: the action in the game. And then someone's keeping the
- 11:14Speaker 1: tally of like how many times they stop, they add
- 11:17Speaker 1: it at the end, but instead of just adding at
- 11:19Speaker 1: the end, why don't you just stop the clock. I
- 11:22Speaker 1: don't understand the stubbornness of having someone be like they've
- 11:24Speaker 1: stopped for thirty.
- 11:25Speaker 2: And we are some Americans talking about soccer because I think,
- 11:28Speaker 2: I don't know, Mike, just.
- 11:31Speaker 3: They don't want to stop the game flow because then
- 11:33Speaker 3: they stop and then it takes the momentum out of it.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But they're stopping the game flow anyway, when the dudes
- 11:37Speaker 1: on the grounds getting here spray on his ankle.
- 11:38Speaker 2: And this has been Americans talking soccer.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and we just don't understand.
- 11:43Speaker 3: I feel like it they stop way longer than that
- 11:45Speaker 3: added time is correct, you know, like sometimes there's a
- 11:47Speaker 3: ten minute stoppage and you're just like, they only add
- 11:49Speaker 3: six minutes at the end or whatever.
- 11:50Speaker 1: And then they score a goal, they're celebrated for five
- 11:53Speaker 1: minutes after the goal. Do they add that to the
- 11:54Speaker 1: stoppage time.
- 11:56Speaker 2: That's a good question, Mike. I don't know, because you
- 11:59Speaker 2: would think they would, because let's say you're you score,
- 12:03Speaker 2: it's two to one now and it's getting near the
- 12:06Speaker 2: end of the game. You just celebrate long, so to
- 12:08Speaker 2: run the game closer to the end, I would imagine
- 12:10Speaker 2: you do. But this is American talking soccer.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I love it.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I did watch you USA in Paraguay. We've killed him.
- 12:16Speaker 2: That one dude did a own goal and I thought
- 12:17Speaker 2: he was getting kill when he gets home.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Let Columbia.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's a documentary.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah that was. Do you think that was Pablo Escobard.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Yeah. Time, and the dude from Paraguay kicked in his
- 12:27Speaker 2: It was a own goal. The first goal we played
- 12:29Speaker 2: against them. They keep throwing ball in.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I didn't realize it went off that dude.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and then I thought, well, he's murdered. I don't
- 12:35Speaker 2: think that's how he happened.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Kevin, do you know about that? Yeah, the Columbia one. Yes, dude,
- 12:40Speaker 1: that was crazy.
- 12:41Speaker 3: There was a I think at thirty for thirty on it, right, yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Probably.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I told my kids about that and they were just
- 12:45Speaker 1: like what. I'm like, Yeah, I imagine that you accidentally
- 12:48Speaker 1: scored your basketball and the wrong goal and then they
- 12:50Speaker 1: shoot you.
- 12:51Speaker 2: But that's what happened on this American Paraguay the first
- 12:55Speaker 2: goal they nicked it in, I.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Know, but they didn't kill him. Well yeah yet.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where my mind went.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Who knows what they do over there.
- 13:02Speaker 2: My other note is Japan's got to figure it out.
- 13:06Speaker 2: They live longer lives, it's much cleaner, it's much safer.
- 13:11Speaker 2: At the end of their matches, all their fans take
- 13:14Speaker 2: bag and clean up their own section, and that's amazing.
- 13:15Speaker 2: It is generally what they do, and.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I appreciate that because that was a Cowboys stadium. I
- 13:19Speaker 1: love that. I love that they're keeping our stall.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Well, they were gonna get clean anyway. But you're the
- 13:23Speaker 2: guy who goes in a movie theater. It says, part
- 13:25Speaker 2: of the appeal as you get to throw your stuff
- 13:26Speaker 2: in the ground, Which.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Is the reason I say that is because there are
- 13:33Speaker 1: like ten teenagers waiting to pick it up when you
- 13:36Speaker 1: leave the theater, Like I figured, that's kind of like
- 13:39Speaker 1: part of the experience of going to the theater. It's like,
- 13:41Speaker 1: what was that restaurant where you could eat peanuts and
- 13:43Speaker 1: throw it on the throw the shelves Texas Texas Roadhouse.
- 13:46Speaker 1: I love that about that.
- 13:48Speaker 3: You think the workers liked it well if.
- 13:50Speaker 1: That was part of their job description, especially if.
- 13:52Speaker 4: They have a peanut allergy.
- 13:53Speaker 3: WHOA, yeah, not good.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I think about that.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's really cool.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Shout out Japanese Jamis Winston got in on.
- 14:01Speaker 2: It, right, Yeah, because he would do that too after games.
- 14:05Speaker 3: He was up in one of the games.
- 14:07Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 14:08Speaker 2: M hm, you got any notes?
- 14:10Speaker 1: I do? I do? That was a black guy on
- 14:13Speaker 1: the Mexican team. I thought that was interesting. Oh god,
- 14:17Speaker 1: so I mean notless seriously, like.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Was he a black guy or a darker Mexican.
- 14:21Speaker 1: No, He's a black dude, And I'd like wow. But
- 14:23Speaker 1: but that's kind of cool about the World Cup is that, like,
- 14:26Speaker 1: you know, people come from all kinds of their heritage, right,
- 14:29Speaker 1: Like they could be adopted, they could be mixed parents, whatever,
- 14:33Speaker 1: and as long as they have some kind of tie
- 14:35Speaker 1: to that country, they can represent that that country.
- 14:38Speaker 2: There's a guy on our team whose parents were from America.
- 14:42Speaker 2: His mom came to America, was trying to get on
- 14:44Speaker 2: the plane to go back home, and they said, you're
- 14:46Speaker 2: too pregnant. She ended up having him here. Then after
- 14:50Speaker 2: she had he was birthright citizen. After she had him here,
- 14:52Speaker 2: they ended up moving to like London, like right right away. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 2: but he was birthright citizen of America. He plays for US.
- 14:57Speaker 2: He scored like two goals and then.
- 14:58Speaker 1: That's freaking awesome.
- 14:59Speaker 3: That cool dang.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So yeah, that was the reason why I said that.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Well, it's like Joel Embiid when he played from the
- 15:05Speaker 3: US and the Olympics.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Not just because you want to. He's some camera in right, Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 2: Like what are they gonna do in the Olympics.
- 15:13Speaker 1: He's the only one. Yeah. The camera guys are good
- 15:18Speaker 1: camera guys. They're good at spotting the hotties. It's the
- 15:20Speaker 1: World Cup.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's their day.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Like their job. They get there like all right, set
- 15:26Speaker 1: your camera up, find the hotties because we're gonna ask
- 15:28Speaker 1: you to go to them. Have them ready.
- 15:31Speaker 2: So there's so many their ai now though that I
- 15:33Speaker 2: pop up like oh from Brazil, I don't know if
- 15:35Speaker 2: they're really.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Or not on social media not TV yeah, yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but they take the pictures and go, this is
- 15:39Speaker 2: from television and it's a fake AI person. Yeah, the
- 15:44Speaker 2: girls in a bathing suitial Yeah, and it's like, here's
- 15:46Speaker 2: every body from every country. Which country would you do
- 15:48Speaker 2: that title? They're ranking them all right, go ahead? Yeah.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I also have that the refs. Man, the refs are
- 15:54Speaker 1: like parents dealing with kids the whole time. Like, it's
- 15:57Speaker 1: funny the way they scold the players. They're like, stop bargaining,
- 16:01Speaker 1: you stop arguing. Then they make the call. I love it.
- 16:04Speaker 1: I think it's really funny to watch.
- 16:06Speaker 2: The language barriers are interesting because I watched a ref
- 16:08Speaker 2: that I think it might have been Danish arguing with
- 16:10Speaker 2: somebody that wasn't.
- 16:12Speaker 1: And I always wondered, like, are they speaking their their
- 16:15Speaker 1: native languages or are they all trying to speak English?
- 16:18Speaker 2: Well, so if you fly you have to learn English,
- 16:20Speaker 2: like if you're a pilot around the world, universal language.
- 16:23Speaker 2: I don't think soccer has that, But I wonder why
- 16:24Speaker 2: they were the thing in their ear. I wonder if
- 16:26Speaker 2: it's like an interpreter.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Well, I know one of them is a camera.
- 16:30Speaker 2: You see that one as a microphone looks like a
- 16:32Speaker 2: pretney fear Garth Brooks my little boy band.
- 16:35Speaker 1: But it's also a camera they have and they they
- 16:38Speaker 1: when there's a goal, they show the ref cam.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Interesting. I saw that. That was really cool, like it.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I'd never seen that vantage boy before. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 1: well anyway, those are my notes World Cup.
- 16:49Speaker 2: They don't play games enough. This thing lasts like six weeks.
- 16:52Speaker 2: America doesn't play again until Friday, Thursday or something.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah, a good point, like three games the day you're.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Running, let's say play the next day.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Yeah, no, dude, they run a lot.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Yeah, okay by two days.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Did you ever play soccer?
- 17:04Speaker 5: No?
- 17:05Speaker 2: Never, not once. We didn't have soccer in Arkansas.
- 17:08Speaker 1: No way, No, dude, that was our first sport.
- 17:11Speaker 2: No, there were there were no soccer teams, there were
- 17:14Speaker 2: no soccer goals, soccer none.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Wow, that's crazy.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Did you know what soccer was?
- 17:18Speaker 1: Yeah? Because he yeah, soccer, just heard people talk about it.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Never.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I have no kicking skills at anything. You guys have
- 17:26Speaker 2: seen it. I never used that, never used that part
- 17:28Speaker 2: of my body for Anything's up running, Kevin.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Did you play soccer?
- 17:30Speaker 3: No?
- 17:31Speaker 4: No?
- 17:32Speaker 1: That is crazy to me, Like that was the first
- 17:34Speaker 1: that when I was five years old, like or signing
- 17:35Speaker 1: out for soccer. Cool and then if you like it,
- 17:38Speaker 1: you stay. But most of the time people just stopped.
- 17:40Speaker 1: But border Bandits do. That was my team for like
- 17:42Speaker 1: four years, the.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Border Bandit Yeah five years old, Yeah that was your name.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Yeah that feels a bit ye who named it.
- 17:52Speaker 2: The film Michaelson drama.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah it was. But but he's cleared though, right, Like,
- 17:57Speaker 1: cops investigated or something. They didn't find ground of anything
- 18:00Speaker 1: weird happening.
- 18:01Speaker 2: I just saw his membership has been revoked after he
- 18:04Speaker 2: was accused of making non consensual and inappropriate physical contact
- 18:06Speaker 2: with the female employee. The fifty five year old golfer
- 18:09Speaker 2: was told to vacate the premises during a round of golf.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Following the accusation, he stepped away from golf. I didn't
- 18:13Speaker 2: say anything about the other stuff.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw the cops investigated and didn't find any
- 18:16Speaker 1: kind of evidence of that really happening. So maybe he's
- 18:20Speaker 1: no longer a member. But legal action was not a thing.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I never saw legal action was a possibility. I just
- 18:26Speaker 2: thought they kicked him out of the club. Phil Mickerson
- 18:28Speaker 2: not a good dude.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Yeah, we're learning that. Huh.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Not a good dude at all. You think Ben Stiller
- 18:33Speaker 2: should be able to hold that trophy? I'm going to say, yes, No,
- 18:40Speaker 2: really no, isn't it just who you know anyway?
- 18:44Speaker 4: Oh?
- 18:44Speaker 1: Yeah it is. But I mean he was there. He
- 18:46Speaker 1: was there for every game in the finals.
- 18:49Speaker 2: In the finals. But I'm saying, if you're famous enough
- 18:51Speaker 2: and you know the owner, you get to get back
- 18:53Speaker 2: there and hold the trophy. Yeah, it's all who you
- 18:55Speaker 2: know anyway, Ben Steeller, Listen, what if Taylor Swip was
- 18:58Speaker 2: holding it?
- 18:59Speaker 1: That'd be a messing with a melted Would you hold
- 19:04Speaker 1: Arkansas National Champian Trophy?
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, he's a neat of course I would.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Then Ben Stillers should do that.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Then it looked kind of odd. Do you see the
- 19:16Speaker 2: picture of it.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I've seen it. Yeah, Like like I just keep seeing
- 19:20Speaker 3: clips of him like he's filming a documentary set or something.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, like on the court and people are trying
- 19:25Speaker 3: to get him with the phone. Yeah with the phone.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Yeah, Spike Lee too, right, I mean he is like
- 19:29Speaker 1: that now he first he should get his own trophy.
- 19:32Speaker 2: That guy has been a Knicks fan to me. I
- 19:35Speaker 2: know him more for me to a Knicks fan than
- 19:36Speaker 2: anything else. Yeah, that and Mars like going to no,
- 19:40Speaker 2: what was his name mark when he was doing the commercials,
- 19:43Speaker 2: But Jordan's.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Way back in the day.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I do remember this.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I think his name was Mars Mars Blackman. Is that
- 19:52Speaker 2: what it was? Was it?
- 19:53Speaker 1: He was it that he was short and I kind
- 19:54Speaker 1: of look the hat flipped.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Yeah wait, okay, hold on, Ben Stillers, he like took
- 20:01Speaker 3: a legit like he's a player. I thought I thought
- 20:04Speaker 3: he was just like in a crowd or somebody just
- 20:05Speaker 3: wrapped her. Real quick, take a picture like.
- 20:07Speaker 1: This after the game.
- 20:08Speaker 2: This is when they're all taking pictures like after the game. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 2: after the championships.
- 20:11Speaker 3: He's got like a backdrop. He's got the goggles on,
- 20:14Speaker 3: so like the champagne in his eyes.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I think it's better than before the game, before you're
- 20:19Speaker 2: the champion.
- 20:20Speaker 1: No, no, no, I meant like postgame when all the.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Back there, Chela Mayne was back there too.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 20:28Speaker 1: It's weird. Yeah, it's almost a reason why the Knicks
- 20:32Speaker 1: kind of like they're not likable to me because of
- 20:35Speaker 1: all the celebrities that are attached to him.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Lakers are way more than next. I feel like the
- 20:39Speaker 2: Knick celebrities are like the blue collar celebrities, and the
- 20:42Speaker 2: Laker celebrities are just the people that are famous and
- 20:43Speaker 2: rich right now that want to be seen, Like Nick
- 20:46Speaker 2: celebrities go to Knicks games, Laker celebrities or just who's
- 20:50Speaker 2: hot right now then get tickets on the floor. And
- 20:52Speaker 2: Jack Nicholson he's always there.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Thoughts on that, Yeah, I mean I don't like the
- 20:58Speaker 1: Lakers either, so I guess that could be the reason
- 21:01Speaker 1: why I don't like either of those teams.
- 21:04Speaker 2: I feel like New York though, just generally is more
- 21:06Speaker 2: blue even though it's rich, even more blue collar than
- 21:08Speaker 2: the Lakers.
- 21:09Speaker 3: But they're real fans. Yeah, I feel like their celebrities
- 21:11Speaker 3: are actual fans where the Lakers are just like I
- 21:13Speaker 3: live in La now and I'm famous.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a cold in New York, so I respect it.
- 21:18Speaker 2: You live in New York and it gets cold there.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Speaking of the next we're going to come back and
- 21:21Speaker 2: talk with Steve no Back playing Marquette with the Knicks
- 21:24Speaker 2: is on the broadcast team. Now for the next let's
- 21:26Speaker 2: talk about Nixon Spurs back. In one second, Let's bring
- 21:31Speaker 2: on a former NBA player, Marquette Legend and current Knicks
- 21:34Speaker 2: analyst Steve Novak, Are you still cloud nine? Steve?
- 21:37Speaker 4: Oh, we're definitely all still cloud nine. I think there's
- 21:39Speaker 4: a lot of zoom calls and conversations and brunches and dinners,
- 21:43Speaker 4: even if brunches at about three pm right now, because
- 21:45Speaker 4: not a lot of sleep for a lot of guys.
- 21:47Speaker 4: But yeah, just enjoying it. I think we all feel
- 21:50Speaker 4: the electricity still, and you know, as the playoffs have
- 21:52Speaker 4: been going on, it was electric. But obviously now that
- 21:56Speaker 4: it actually happened, it's done, and our guy, Jalen Brunson
- 21:59Speaker 4: got it done. I think we're all still riding the high.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Who do you credit for orchestrating and putting together that
- 22:06Speaker 2: group of guys?
- 22:07Speaker 4: Oh? Boy? I mean there's the obvious, right, I mean,
- 22:11Speaker 4: I think there's the Leon Rose. I think just his
- 22:14Speaker 4: orchestration as far as those decisions, and by those decisions,
- 22:17Speaker 4: I just mean, you know, you do look back at
- 22:20Speaker 4: each of those different transactions and you consider that they
- 22:23Speaker 4: were high risk and there's just no guarantee, especially when
- 22:26Speaker 4: you consider when they were done. If you think about
- 22:28Speaker 4: the sentiment and how big of a deal it is
- 22:31Speaker 4: to trade first round picks like that for Michel Bridges,
- 22:34Speaker 4: and you know, part of it is for sure in
- 22:37Speaker 4: the hands of Jalen Brunson. He gives back one hundred
- 22:39Speaker 4: and thirteen million real dollars as a guy who's already
- 22:43Speaker 4: playing in New York City paying New York City taxes,
- 22:45Speaker 4: He's joked about missing his Dallas taxes when he was
- 22:48Speaker 4: in Texas, and so you know, he has so much
- 22:51Speaker 4: to do with this. There's no cat, there's no og Ananobi.
- 22:53Speaker 4: If there's no Jalen Brunson giving back one hundred and
- 22:56Speaker 4: thirteen million dollar gift, it's it's something you don't see sports.
- 23:01Speaker 4: And then obviously got to go to the top. I mean,
- 23:02Speaker 4: mister Dolan is someone that you know, I've had a
- 23:05Speaker 4: unique perspective to get to know and to be around
- 23:07Speaker 4: as a player and now as a broadcaster and honestly
- 23:10Speaker 4: even more as an alumni, someone who I get to
- 23:12Speaker 4: see how he treats the full organization and embraces a
- 23:17Speaker 4: guy like me who played for the Knicks and wore
- 23:19Speaker 4: this jersey. And it's not just me. There's so many
- 23:21Speaker 4: guys that are brought back and treated so well. And
- 23:24Speaker 4: so I do I think, you know, it starts the
- 23:26Speaker 4: top and obviously Leon Rose, William Wesley Gerson, rosas down
- 23:30Speaker 4: the line. Those guys and the decisions they made were huge.
- 23:33Speaker 4: But the captain and his forty five points and his
- 23:37Speaker 4: one hundred and thirteen million dollar give back, I think
- 23:39Speaker 4: are just as big a piece as all of that.
- 23:41Speaker 2: The og Ananobe story, to me is pretty wild. Now
- 23:43Speaker 2: I'm a late fan because when he was playing with Toronto,
- 23:47Speaker 2: I didn't watch him much, and I was looking at
- 23:49Speaker 2: the last I guess four or five seasons and he
- 23:50Speaker 2: played like forty games, forty games, fifty games. So what happened?
- 23:54Speaker 2: He comes to New York and now he's healthy and
- 23:56Speaker 2: he's wildly productive. What's the difference.
- 23:59Speaker 4: It's a great question, and I think you know in
- 24:01Speaker 4: the NBA you see so often in professional sports, you
- 24:05Speaker 4: see when a guy finds his home, when he's embraced,
- 24:08Speaker 4: you know, not only by his teammates, as coaches, in
- 24:10Speaker 4: front office, the fans, but also is a complimentary piece.
- 24:14Speaker 4: And part of that. Your skill set can be your
- 24:16Speaker 4: skill set, but it might not be complimentary depending on
- 24:18Speaker 4: who the heck's around you. And it helps when I
- 24:21Speaker 4: think you have a leader like Jalen Brunson and you're
- 24:24Speaker 4: a guy like Og who's first and foremost a defensive,
- 24:29Speaker 4: massive rebounding, communication presence, and your core is going to
- 24:35Speaker 4: be Cat and Jalen with the ball in their hands.
- 24:36Speaker 4: But it ends up being that those guys are able
- 24:40Speaker 4: to bring out of you one of the skills that
- 24:41Speaker 4: you haven't displayed at a high as at a high
- 24:44Speaker 4: level as he did with the Knicks, which was shooting
- 24:47Speaker 4: the ball. And I think that's what they did, was
- 24:49Speaker 4: bring that side of it out because when Og and
- 24:51Speaker 4: Anobi was at Indiana, he was an elite, unbelievable defender,
- 24:56Speaker 4: long wingspan, big chest, just making massive athleticism plays. But
- 25:02Speaker 4: to see I think, honestly his shooting development and the
- 25:05Speaker 4: shot making that he had in these this twenty twenty
- 25:08Speaker 4: six playoffs, it put him off the chart. It was
- 25:10Speaker 4: one of the most historic shooting playoffs for any player
- 25:14Speaker 4: in NBA history, and it was fun to watch because
- 25:17Speaker 4: it it was a big deal. And obviously the tip
- 25:20Speaker 4: in in game four was one of the greatest shots
- 25:25Speaker 4: of all time.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Okay, so my question about the tip in as somebody
- 25:29Speaker 2: like yourself who played at the absolute highest level. Whenever
- 25:32Speaker 2: you're taught to go up on a rebound like that tip.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Are you just tipping it towards and hoping for the
- 25:37Speaker 2: best or is there some sort of nuance with every
- 25:40Speaker 2: single tip.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a great question, and it was what was
- 25:45Speaker 4: on the Today Show. I was watching clips just now
- 25:47Speaker 4: with og Anobi and the whole starting five, you know,
- 25:50Speaker 4: was being interviewed and they said to og you know,
- 25:52Speaker 4: what were you thinking, What was your approach? What were
- 25:54Speaker 4: you trying to do right there? And I just love
- 25:57Speaker 4: he says, you know, well, I was trying to dunk it,
- 26:00Speaker 4: you know.
- 26:00Speaker 2: And I do think.
- 26:04Speaker 4: When a shot goes up and your offensive rebounding, the
- 26:08Speaker 4: goal is to get it an awesome you know, bounce
- 26:10Speaker 4: off the rim and it just lays there for you
- 26:12Speaker 4: right when you take off to go up and grab
- 26:13Speaker 4: it and dunk it. And I think you could see,
- 26:16Speaker 4: you know, he approached it that way because he was
- 26:17Speaker 4: up high enough, higher than you know, the two spurs
- 26:20Speaker 4: that were in the paint as well, to get a
- 26:21Speaker 4: hand on it. But then after that to have the
- 26:24Speaker 4: feel and the touch to not duck it and to
- 26:27Speaker 4: just kind of tap it in the way he did.
- 26:30Speaker 4: You know that that's something that here's no drills for that.
- 26:34Speaker 4: There's no like, oh he's grown up, you know, with
- 26:36Speaker 4: his coaches working on you know, throwing the ball off
- 26:38Speaker 4: the rim and tapping it in like that. It's it's
- 26:40Speaker 4: just one of those miracle plays that good things happen
- 26:44Speaker 4: to guys who are in the right spots and are
- 26:46Speaker 4: good people, and there's some magic around an aura around
- 26:50Speaker 4: him sometimes, and on that play, he definitely he had
- 26:54Speaker 4: a magic aura around him.
- 26:56Speaker 2: In the locker room, has brunts and been the guy
- 26:59Speaker 2: and when a guy like Carl Anthony Towns comes over,
- 27:01Speaker 2: is it just kind of understood that Brunton's the leader
- 27:02Speaker 2: of the team.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure. You know, I think Brunson over the
- 27:07Speaker 4: last you know, before this finals, this playoff run, I
- 27:09Speaker 4: think he had very much proven he was the late
- 27:13Speaker 4: game scorer, he was the captain, He was missed captain clutch,
- 27:17Speaker 4: you know, voted on and recognized by the NBA, by
- 27:19Speaker 4: his teammates, I think, by this organization. So I think
- 27:22Speaker 4: he had really established that he was that closer go
- 27:25Speaker 4: to guy and good enough to do it. And obviously
- 27:28Speaker 4: there was kind of the famous Becky Hammond the small
- 27:30Speaker 4: guards can't win it. He's not that dude. The Knicks
- 27:33Speaker 4: don't have that guy. And so this run, this championship,
- 27:39Speaker 4: that Game five obviously solidified him as a whole nother
- 27:43Speaker 4: echelon of player. And as far as the locker room
- 27:47Speaker 4: goes and Karl Anthony Town's coming over, I think it.
- 27:50Speaker 4: You know, Kat all Year was pretty candid about he's
- 27:54Speaker 4: willing to play whatever role he needs to play. He's
- 27:56Speaker 4: completely bought into Coach brown system. He knows that Jalen
- 27:59Speaker 4: is the guy, and Kat pretty much all Year said,
- 28:02Speaker 4: I will assert myself when needed as needed, and I
- 28:06Speaker 4: think we saw that. I mean, miraculously, he had two
- 28:08Speaker 4: points in Game five and Jalen had forty five. The
- 28:10Speaker 4: second leading scorer was Michel Bridges with fourteen, and they
- 28:13Speaker 4: got it done. And so I look back to a
- 28:15Speaker 4: lot of cats comments throughout the year about buying in,
- 28:18Speaker 4: doing what you have to do to win. He doesn't
- 28:19Speaker 4: care who gets the shine, and I think to myself, listen,
- 28:23Speaker 4: no matter what anybody thought about his comments or set
- 28:25Speaker 4: about what his approach, it worked. He was bought in
- 28:30Speaker 4: and he was right. He had two points in this
- 28:31Speaker 4: team one and obviously I think he would have hoped
- 28:33Speaker 4: for a better game, but it was enough for a championship.
- 28:36Speaker 4: So I think the results speak for themselves.
- 28:39Speaker 2: I think I saw where Kat had the highest plus
- 28:41Speaker 2: minus ever in the finals, and what do you attribute
- 28:44Speaker 2: that to?
- 28:45Speaker 4: You know, I really do contribute that to his buy in.
- 28:48Speaker 4: And I know that's kind of a cliche term. And
- 28:50Speaker 4: by buying, I just mean if you're the number one
- 28:52Speaker 4: pick going against another which Kat was is and another
- 28:58Speaker 4: number one pick in Wemby, you have a chip on
- 29:01Speaker 4: your shoulder. You're trying to prove something that you're in
- 29:02Speaker 4: your eleventh season and this is a guy at Wemby
- 29:04Speaker 4: in his third season. It's your time. You're the guy.
- 29:09Speaker 4: And Kat approached those first two games in San Antonio
- 29:13Speaker 4: on the road that way. He outplayed Wemby, He locked
- 29:16Speaker 4: him up defensively, He had a great start to the series,
- 29:19Speaker 4: which shaped the whole series from there on out. When
- 29:22Speaker 4: you leave San Antonio with two road wins up to
- 29:24Speaker 4: zero and so I think his buy in it showed
- 29:29Speaker 4: up to me in he didn't need to score every
- 29:32Speaker 4: time he wanted to beat Wemby. He wanted to prove
- 29:35Speaker 4: he was as valuable as he was picked number one,
- 29:39Speaker 4: and so he did the little things that were required
- 29:41Speaker 4: of him to become a champion, which in my mind
- 29:44Speaker 4: was pursuing rebounds relentlessly. One of the best rebounders, I
- 29:47Speaker 4: think the number two rebounder in the NBA Al season,
- 29:51Speaker 4: but pursued the rebounds over and over ran the floor hard,
- 29:54Speaker 4: was willing to be a defender. And then on the
- 29:57Speaker 4: offensive end, where a lot of big guys you see
- 29:59Speaker 4: it show up where it's are not really bought in,
- 30:01Speaker 4: where they're trying to shoot it every time. He became
- 30:04Speaker 4: mister facilitator at the top of the key, making passes,
- 30:07Speaker 4: running the dribble, handoffs, getting another guy's shots, and then
- 30:10Speaker 4: when they shot, going and crashing the glass like crazy.
- 30:13Speaker 4: And so I think that's just where you saw He's
- 30:16Speaker 4: going to do what needs to be done to win.
- 30:18Speaker 4: And so when that's the case, you're out there with
- 30:21Speaker 4: the guys getting buckets, and your plus minus just keeps
- 30:23Speaker 4: going up because you're moving the needle as far as
- 30:26Speaker 4: winning and performance. And so I give him just a
- 30:29Speaker 4: ton of credit for you know where this team ended
- 30:31Speaker 4: up this year.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Do you feel like cat only having two points and
- 30:34Speaker 2: all the fouls, Do you feel like that was a
- 30:36Speaker 2: curse that he that had so many fouls? But the
- 30:38Speaker 2: blessing came at the end of the game when he
- 30:40Speaker 2: was still able to have so much freaking energy and
- 30:42Speaker 2: go as hard as he was going.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a great point because there was you know,
- 30:46Speaker 4: there were certain moments throughout the series against San Antonio
- 30:50Speaker 4: where he would go, oh, my gosh, is this terrible?
- 30:54Speaker 4: Or could this in any way be a good thing?
- 30:56Speaker 4: Could it be a blessing? And you saw, like you said,
- 30:58Speaker 4: gobs you can't get in filed trouble, be fresher at
- 31:01Speaker 4: the end of games. You also saw coach Brown get
- 31:03Speaker 4: creative and go with smaller lineups, trying to find the
- 31:06Speaker 4: right mix, going with Landry Shamitt, sometimes going with Jose Elverado,
- 31:10Speaker 4: And there was a spark in Game four where Jose
- 31:14Speaker 4: Verado comes in the game where og Anonobi tips it in.
- 31:17Speaker 4: Jalen obviously still had thirty six in that game. Ogi
- 31:20Speaker 4: had thirty three, but Jose Verado ended up playing had
- 31:24Speaker 4: eight points in that game, played ten of his fifteen
- 31:27Speaker 4: minutes in the fourth quarter. And it was a large
- 31:30Speaker 4: product of Cat being in foul trouble and Coach Brown
- 31:32Speaker 4: going small, and it opened some of the offense up
- 31:35Speaker 4: and you're seeing Jalen Brunson, Jose Verado pick and roll action,
- 31:38Speaker 4: and you think, this is not what I thought we
- 31:41Speaker 4: were going to see. But I think it was unpredictable
- 31:44Speaker 4: and unorthodox, and it did throw off the competition where
- 31:48Speaker 4: they're thinking, we don't really have a scheme for this.
- 31:49Speaker 4: We haven't gone through with the Jose Verado pick and
- 31:52Speaker 4: roll with Jalen brunts and we don't have a coverage
- 31:54Speaker 4: or a call. And so I do I think, you know,
- 31:57Speaker 4: to your point, it ended up being a blessing at times,
- 31:59Speaker 4: but you also got to give some credit to the
- 32:01Speaker 4: guys who came in and made some magic happen. So
- 32:04Speaker 4: it was unexpected, But yes, I do. I think it
- 32:08Speaker 4: was in the end unpredictable, so a blessing.
- 32:11Speaker 2: The twenty nine point comeback, wildest thing you've ever seen?
- 32:14Speaker 4: Oh my god, So that game. You know, you've seen
- 32:17Speaker 4: all these stats about you know, the Spurs led one
- 32:22Speaker 4: hundred and seventy three minutes, the Knicks led you know,
- 32:25Speaker 4: fifty two minutes. You know, seventy two percent of the
- 32:29Speaker 4: series was led by the Spurs. One of these weird
- 32:32Speaker 4: analytical conversations again where you're going like, okay, so what
- 32:35Speaker 4: are you saying, you know, do you think the Spurs
- 32:37Speaker 4: are winning this series? Are they you know? Like coach
- 32:39Speaker 4: Atkinson said for Cleveland earlier in the playoffs, that game,
- 32:45Speaker 4: when you look back at the box score, the largest
- 32:48Speaker 4: lead that San Antonio had in Game four was twenty
- 32:50Speaker 4: nine points. The largest lead that the Knicks head was
- 32:53Speaker 4: one point. The Spurs led ninety seven percent of the game.
- 32:57Speaker 4: The Knicks led by for two percent the game. There
- 33:00Speaker 4: was one percent of the game that it was tied.
- 33:03Speaker 4: And you don't watch basketball as long as I've watched
- 33:06Speaker 4: basketball and think to yourself, I believe in this team.
- 33:09Speaker 4: They can do it. It doesn't happen when they may
- 33:12Speaker 4: be in a regular, crazy, regular season game where maybe
- 33:15Speaker 4: there's a team that doesn't have spirit, they don't really care,
- 33:17Speaker 4: they're down on something, they don't have good chemistry, and
- 33:20Speaker 4: there's another reason that a team can come back and
- 33:24Speaker 4: do something crazy. But in the finals, it means too much.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Every guy is locked in, everyone has game planned around
- 33:31Speaker 4: what you need to do. The importance is worth the
- 33:34Speaker 4: fatigue and the mental energy, and so it's impossible to
- 33:38Speaker 4: come back from twenty nine points, twenty seven point halftime deficit,
- 33:42Speaker 4: and so I still just can't believe the numbers that
- 33:45Speaker 4: came out of that. And that's why some of the
- 33:47Speaker 4: analytical conversations they do become comical, because it does come
- 33:51Speaker 4: down to the immeasurables. When you're talking about a Jalen
- 33:54Speaker 4: Brunson and this Nick's run. It's just the reality. There's
- 33:57Speaker 4: no other way to explain it is. You can measure
- 33:59Speaker 4: the points, the rebounds and all these things, but call
- 34:03Speaker 4: it what you want. Jalen said, you can't measure you
- 34:06Speaker 4: can't measure the heart, and I think he explained to everybody,
- 34:09Speaker 4: showed everybody exactly what that means.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Obviously, the NBA has been a copycat league in a
- 34:14Speaker 2: lot of ways, meaning if something is successful, like any
- 34:17Speaker 2: other industry, you just do it, you keep doing it.
- 34:19Speaker 2: We saw that with like the Big Three, and but
- 34:22Speaker 2: now the three are guys that have played together a
- 34:25Speaker 2: long time. Is this something you think could be something
- 34:28Speaker 2: that the NBA teams dive into, like past versions of
- 34:31Speaker 2: teams that were successful at some other point.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I kind of think this is a unique case.
- 34:36Speaker 4: I really do. I think the chemistry is such a
- 34:40Speaker 4: real thing, you know, belief and love for one another
- 34:43Speaker 4: is a trait and a commonality that all championship teams have.
- 34:48Speaker 4: There's this love.
- 34:48Speaker 2: I was just with j R.
- 34:49Speaker 4: Smith yesterday for breakfast and I said, you know, are
- 34:53Speaker 4: you gonna come to the parade. We're gonna have a
- 34:54Speaker 4: great time, and he said, I would love to. I'm
- 34:57Speaker 4: missing it. I'm flying to go going to London. I'm
- 35:00Speaker 4: going to Scotland. I'm going to Santrope with the twenty
- 35:03Speaker 4: sixteen championship team with Bron and Kyrie and Richard Jefferson
- 35:06Speaker 4: and Kevin Love and those guys. And it's just an
- 35:10Speaker 4: example of it's like, you don't win unless your brothers
- 35:13Speaker 4: and it creates brotherhood obviously, but I think chemistry is
- 35:18Speaker 4: a real thing. But pulling groups of guys from college
- 35:23Speaker 4: that I think is pretty unique. You know, these Nova Knicks,
- 35:26Speaker 4: you know, with Bridges and Heart and Brunson is a
- 35:29Speaker 4: special story that you know. No, I don't think it'll
- 35:33Speaker 4: be a trend beyond trying to find guys that truly
- 35:37Speaker 4: enjoy each other, that love each other. But this Nova story,
- 35:41Speaker 4: Nova Nicks is I think maybe once a couple times
- 35:44Speaker 4: in a lifetime kind of thing to see.
- 35:46Speaker 2: I saw Josh Hart tweet that he wanted to play golf,
- 35:48Speaker 2: and what club and so is New York the kind
- 35:51Speaker 2: of place that there will be these clubs that go, hey, man,
- 35:53Speaker 2: you got a free membership here.
- 35:55Speaker 4: I mean, if you think golf is just the tip
- 35:57Speaker 4: of the iceberg, I mean it's those guys aren't buying
- 36:03Speaker 4: drinks anywhere, They're not buying dinner. I'd be shocked if
- 36:05Speaker 4: they pay for their condos in the city. Their golf
- 36:07Speaker 4: memberships are free. They're driving free escalades for the rest
- 36:12Speaker 4: of their lives. The dealerships are going to line them up.
- 36:15Speaker 4: It's different here. And you hear that and you go, okay,
- 36:18Speaker 4: what does that mean. It's a bigger population. The fans
- 36:20Speaker 4: are crazier. It's been fifty three years. What I mean
- 36:22Speaker 4: is this is the financial capital of the world. When
- 36:26Speaker 4: you're like, those tickets were crazy for Game four. People
- 36:28Speaker 4: were paying you know, one hundred and seventy nine thousand dollars. Yeah. Well,
- 36:32Speaker 4: imagine if you could go back and do like a
- 36:34Speaker 4: redraft for like a two thousand and one NBA draft
- 36:37Speaker 4: where you know, you say, this would have really been
- 36:39Speaker 4: the number one pick, this would be the number two pick.
- 36:40Speaker 4: If you could do it again, if you could go
- 36:42Speaker 4: back and sell those tickets for Game four again, do
- 36:45Speaker 4: you know how much more they would go for then
- 36:47Speaker 4: they went for? And so I do think the value
- 36:51Speaker 4: of what this moment and this championship meant to the
- 36:55Speaker 4: people in the city is largely based on their bank accounts.
- 36:58Speaker 4: A lot of their bank acounts, which means escalate is
- 37:00Speaker 4: not a big deal to give these guys, and a
- 37:02Speaker 4: golf membership is not a big deal because the value
- 37:05Speaker 4: and the moment that this was to the people of
- 37:08Speaker 4: New York City and the fans of the Knicks, I
- 37:09Speaker 4: think is is not the same if you're in you know,
- 37:13Speaker 4: small town America, or you're going I'd give that guy
- 37:16Speaker 4: five hundred bucks to meet him. They're saying, I'd give you.
- 37:19Speaker 4: I'd give five hundred thousand dollars to meet these guys.
- 37:22Speaker 4: And so, you know, I think it's these guys' lives
- 37:25Speaker 4: are changed, and by change, I mean everything's free forever.
- 37:30Speaker 2: My final question is did you have something that you
- 37:34Speaker 2: were for sure going to say if the Knicks won,
- 37:36Speaker 2: like you're planned it out, like when it happened, you
- 37:38Speaker 2: had your line.
- 37:40Speaker 4: No, No, I didn't. There's a few games. Yeah, I've
- 37:47Speaker 4: been broadcast for nine years, my first year with the
- 37:49Speaker 4: Knicks doing broadcast, and there's a few games where you know,
- 37:53Speaker 4: you take your notes, you have your process, You keep
- 37:55Speaker 4: the scores at the end of quarters, who's doing what,
- 37:57Speaker 4: the trends, the important stuff that happens. Where at the
- 38:00Speaker 4: end of the game you just close your notebook and
- 38:04Speaker 4: you realize, like, none of the stuff you wrote down
- 38:06Speaker 4: has anything to do with what's important right now. And
- 38:09Speaker 4: going into game game five, knowing that this was a
- 38:12Speaker 4: close out game, the possibility they could win it, you know,
- 38:14Speaker 4: I keep my process, you keep your notes, you write
- 38:16Speaker 4: the trends, but you realize if you can't be authentic
- 38:19Speaker 4: in those moments and it can't be off the cuff
- 38:21Speaker 4: and you just speak from the heart, like you're going
- 38:24Speaker 4: to be saying the wrong thing. And so I don't
- 38:26Speaker 4: actually know what the heck I said. You be honest
- 38:29Speaker 4: with you. But but how about a shout out to
- 38:32Speaker 4: our guy, Mike Breen. You know, a New York City legend,
- 38:35Speaker 4: a Knicks, longtime broadcast legend, just able to say and
- 38:40Speaker 4: summarize some of that stuff better than any of us
- 38:43Speaker 4: could even dream. And so I think it's just all
- 38:47Speaker 4: a treat to get to listen to him do those
- 38:49Speaker 4: finals games at the Garden and in San Antonio this
- 38:52Speaker 4: year and know that it was it was coming from
- 38:55Speaker 4: a beloved place in his heart calling those Knicks games,
- 38:58Speaker 4: and so working with him is obviously, for myself an
- 39:01Speaker 4: unbelievable privilege. I know it was cool to listen to him.
- 39:04Speaker 2: I really appreciate the time. I know this is a
- 39:07Speaker 2: very exciting time and you're super busy, So thank you
- 39:09Speaker 2: for peeling awesome time with us. Big fan of yours
- 39:11Speaker 2: and even when you were playing a market all of
- 39:13Speaker 2: it like been following your career the whole time, So
- 39:15Speaker 2: thank you for giving us some time.
- 39:16Speaker 4: Steve also to be on with you. Appreciate it.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Thank you, Steve. Okay, before we go, did you watch
- 39:22Speaker 2: UFC last night?
- 39:24Speaker 1: Did?
- 39:24Speaker 2: I did?
- 39:25Speaker 1: Dude? You know how many times I laughed just because
- 39:27Speaker 1: the whole thing was funny.
- 39:28Speaker 3: To me, like what are we doing?
- 39:30Speaker 2: Like a cartoon?
- 39:30Speaker 1: It's like what are we doing? And then in between
- 39:33Speaker 1: matches where if you watch UFC all week, like just
- 39:37Speaker 1: all the weeks that they showed UFC, in those breaks
- 39:40Speaker 1: they played little like short just features on the on
- 39:45Speaker 1: the Fighter, they go to their hometown whatever, and like
- 39:48Speaker 1: show them riding a horse in between training. This is
- 39:51Speaker 1: all American. This is all like Ronald Reagan talking about
- 39:55Speaker 1: how Flag Day was created, and then like World War two,
- 39:59Speaker 1: the day that harbor guys. It was just funny, Like
- 40:02Speaker 1: the whole theme was funny to me.
- 40:05Speaker 2: It was weird that the military was saluting the fighters.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Well, okay, see I thought they were saluting the fighters,
- 40:10Speaker 1: but I think they were saluting the people walking with
- 40:13Speaker 1: the fighters, which were veterans and law enforced.
- 40:15Speaker 2: If that's the case, that feels better the fighters. They
- 40:18Speaker 2: should they should have walked out the veterans and lawenforcement
- 40:20Speaker 2: by themselves. I completely agree, because it felt like they
- 40:22Speaker 2: were saluting the fighters.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Why are you saluting sugar Sean.
- 40:26Speaker 3: I didn't even think about that.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I saw that Michael Chandler lost again.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Yeah he didn't lose.
- 40:32Speaker 2: I didn't watch I watched clips. I know. I watched
- 40:36Speaker 2: ESPN get to show pictures because they don't own it. Yeah,
- 40:39Speaker 2: so I watched pictures.
- 40:40Speaker 1: He looked that's interesting. He looked like a fighter for
- 40:43Speaker 1: about two minutes, and then he looked like us in there,
- 40:48Speaker 1: like he.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Felt, don't give us that much credit.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I'm just saying he fell uncovered himself.
- 40:52Speaker 3: It was just like that guy. I mean, was like
- 40:55Speaker 3: way taller than him, his length on him, everything, younger.
- 40:58Speaker 3: It's just I felt bad for Michael.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Did you watch it?
- 41:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 41:01Speaker 3: Up until it's just too late. This is my first
- 41:04Speaker 3: Sunday night for Sunday nights bad. I mean, I say,
- 41:06Speaker 3: up till ten thirty. The Sean O'Malley fight was the
- 41:08Speaker 3: last one I saw, so I didn't watch the final two,
- 41:11Speaker 3: and I'm pissed because the last one, the last one
- 41:13Speaker 3: was best one. Everybody was knockout right all night. Every
- 41:16Speaker 3: fight was knock out.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't think anyone. I don't think one went
- 41:20Speaker 1: to a decision.
- 41:20Speaker 3: You're right, No, how about the big guys.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Derek Lewis. And then there's a guy who I think
- 41:28Speaker 1: played for the forty nine ers, like practice squad for
- 41:30Speaker 1: like three years. He's a fighter now he's really good.
- 41:33Speaker 3: He whooped him.
- 41:34Speaker 1: He whooped, Yeah, he whopped Derek Lewis.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Did you watch the whole thing?
- 41:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the whole thing?
- 41:37Speaker 2: What time did what was it over?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Like midnight?
- 41:39Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Couldn't stay up.
- 41:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Josh hokit, Josh hoke it dude, he's he's really,
- 41:45Speaker 1: he's good. He's undefeated, and he's just like he's taking
- 41:48Speaker 1: on these big heavyweights and putting it to him. Derek Lewis,
- 41:52Speaker 1: one shot, you're done. He's just like he's an animal,
- 41:55Speaker 1: and he survived him after three minutes.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Derek Lou's like, dude, he was done.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Did you play golf?
- 42:02Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 42:03Speaker 2: How to go?
- 42:03Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 42:03Speaker 3: On Saturday it went well. I was telling Eddie he
- 42:05Speaker 3: didn't believe me, but I don't believe my. So we
- 42:08Speaker 3: did a scramble, me and my buddy versus two of
- 42:10Speaker 3: our other friends.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Exactly exactly.
- 42:13Speaker 2: It's hard to say if you're playing scramble.
- 42:15Speaker 3: No, but that's what I'm gonna say. My driving is
- 42:19Speaker 3: still a lot of work in progress.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Is that a Cobra driver?
- 42:22Speaker 3: Yep, the free one. But my irons, my free irons
- 42:26Speaker 3: are They were good. My approach game was good, my
- 42:30Speaker 3: pitching was great, my putting was okay, but my irons
- 42:34Speaker 3: for the most part, were pretty dang good. I was
- 42:35Speaker 3: very happy with it for not playing in eight months.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I was happy, Oh, that's your first round since your shoulder. Yeah, okay,
- 42:40Speaker 1: And like I.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Didn't believe him because he played a scramble. That's what
- 42:43Speaker 2: it's hard to say you played correct if you played
- 42:45Speaker 2: a scramb.
- 42:45Speaker 3: I didn't say I played gram just saying I played well.
- 42:48Speaker 3: And I think the shoulder helps because I'm not trying
- 42:50Speaker 3: to kill it because I know I'm going to hurt myself.
- 42:51Speaker 3: That's as you guys know, if you're not trying to
- 42:53Speaker 3: kill it and you have an easy swing, you just
- 42:56Speaker 3: hit it better. So I think it played my advantage
- 43:00Speaker 3: in that way.
- 43:01Speaker 2: What's happened in Father's day.
- 43:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I might go play golf with my boys.
- 43:08Speaker 1: That's kind of a thing now. Me and my two
- 43:09Speaker 1: boys are playing golf a lot now and my youngest
- 43:11Speaker 1: is playing two. I just don't know if I can
- 43:14Speaker 1: take three to the golf course.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Well, I set a note in my phone because you
- 43:17Speaker 2: can't at my club. You can't get a tea time
- 43:21Speaker 2: before three days out from grabbing tea times. So I
- 43:24Speaker 2: set a note on my phone the morning. Well, I
- 43:27Speaker 2: don't know what Caitlyn has planned, but I set a
- 43:29Speaker 2: note for Thursday at like six in the morning to
- 43:34Speaker 2: say if I could grab like an afternoon time, if
- 43:36Speaker 2: I can get that, do you want to play?
- 43:38Speaker 1: Yes? Yeah, do you think Billy's ready to play?
- 43:41Speaker 2: Not yet, but she'll just ride.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Yeah, she could drive the car. I don't know that.
- 43:48Speaker 2: I don't know that I can get on. I don't
- 43:49Speaker 2: know what Kitlyn has playing.
- 43:50Speaker 1: I will clear that day, so I don't know that
- 43:53Speaker 1: I can get on. And if we can't, I'll just
- 43:56Speaker 1: hang out watch some World Cup. Okay, No, but we played.
- 44:01Speaker 1: We played in Florida and it was fine.
- 44:03Speaker 3: How'd you play pretty good?
- 44:06Speaker 2: You played pretty good? Not you?
- 44:08Speaker 5: No?
- 44:09Speaker 1: I did.
- 44:09Speaker 2: I played really good considering he eventually got shot at
- 44:12Speaker 2: ninety two and my first again, Adam played a full
- 44:16Speaker 2: round and since July of last year. Yeah, I shot
- 44:19Speaker 2: like truple truple double, and then I think I shot
- 44:21Speaker 2: five over on the back nine.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Okay, so your back name was better than the front.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because I'm always opposite, especially in.
- 44:28Speaker 1: The heat, and you get warmed up.
- 44:29Speaker 3: No, I'm a hired, fatigued I was sore the next day,
- 44:33Speaker 3: for sure.
- 44:35Speaker 2: I was pretty happy with the ninety two. Considering Adam
- 44:37Speaker 2: play in New Year.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good.
- 44:38Speaker 1: I'll say. Bobby kind of has a handicap his eyesight.
- 44:40Speaker 1: I know, it's like what but sometimes he like hits
- 44:44Speaker 1: the ball and you're like, dude, that was way left.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Isn't the hole that way? I'm like, nod the hole.
- 44:48Speaker 2: That happens sometimes too, where I'll see a green and
- 44:50Speaker 2: I think it's a flag, like that's not the hole.
- 44:52Speaker 1: And like he'll hit it left and be like yes,
- 44:55Speaker 1: and we're like, dude, yeah, the hole is that way.
- 44:57Speaker 2: There were a few times that I filmed, Aron'd like
- 45:00Speaker 2: I'm I'm out of range. I mean, there's the hole
- 45:02Speaker 2: over there, and it's like coming right for me, Like oh.
- 45:04Speaker 1: God, you know, and I feel bad for you because
- 45:06Speaker 1: like I forget that, like you can't see well.
- 45:10Speaker 2: I have to be put on. I need like a
- 45:11Speaker 2: dog dog dude the whole.
- 45:14Speaker 1: There was this one conversation because at this place we played,
- 45:16Speaker 1: we had have a caddy and the caddy is like,
- 45:18Speaker 1: all right, you see the you see the hole, and
- 45:21Speaker 1: Bobby's like, I don't see the flag. He's like, all right,
- 45:23Speaker 1: do you see the sand trap? And they went home
- 45:25Speaker 1: for like five minutes and I was like the sand trap?
- 45:28Speaker 1: What's sand trap? No, there's a sand trap right there.
- 45:30Speaker 1: He's like the one behind. No, it's actually in front.
- 45:33Speaker 1: And Bobby's like, I don't see it.
- 45:34Speaker 2: It was a whole happit in Costello, who's on first act.
- 45:37Speaker 2: That's great, But I try to tell people, hey, I
- 45:39Speaker 2: can't see very well. My depth perception is bad too,
- 45:42Speaker 2: so if you can help me out. But there are
- 45:43Speaker 2: times where I think the hole's are different, and if
- 45:46Speaker 2: there are two greens that are kind of near each other,
- 45:48Speaker 2: they look like they're on the same spot. I can
- 45:50Speaker 2: see the other one first and think that's the one
- 45:51Speaker 2: we're playing towards. Yeah, but mostly I can ask questions.
- 45:53Speaker 2: But on a brand new course that we never we
- 45:56Speaker 2: never played, it was a bit different.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I could see that sometimes the confusing. We almost
- 46:00Speaker 3: teed off on the wrong hold. The other day it
- 46:02Speaker 3: went the wrong way because they were like, there's one
- 46:04Speaker 3: roundabout and there's like three ties right there, and we're
- 46:07Speaker 3: like and then this ladies, like, you guys are over here.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Actually they were like, gotcha.
- 46:10Speaker 2: It's like all the nineties movies where the person picks
- 46:12Speaker 2: up the rocket launcher to shoot forward and yeah, that's naked. Good,
- 46:16Speaker 2: that's us on the golf course. Okay, that's gonna do it.
